- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: When you hear the phrase, personal brand, what comes to mind?
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of two things.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's the people that you think have a very strong personal brand, or it's your self-assessment of your own personal brand, which maybe you clicked on this video because your personal brand can use some work.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going to share with you the single secret that the people you believe has a killer personal brand online, the decisions they made to actually build and actually have that personal brand.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the department.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost a quarry and I'm excited to be joined with my bro art dot MP4.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: We back and I'm going to share with you something I shared with just about a couple thousand people last week in Atlanta and really
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to hand it to you up front and then we're going to unpack it for the rest of this episode.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out ATL.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was a movie.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: It was a movie.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Your boy has motion in Atlanta.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: You have motion to win.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: You got I got motion to win as a young people say.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, here's the one decision that all brands or personal brands all CEOs that you know of online that have a brand maybe you didn't think of my brand as someone in that world and in that conversation.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest decision, the most important that... That's okay, we get it.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's okay, we get it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: The most important decision, do honestly, to include Dan Martell, like we had Dan Martell a couple of weeks ago on the podcast, and he even said this.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: But he said, everything changed when I decided to go pro.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Everything changed.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: When I decided to go prone, if you don't know the story of Dan Martell, he was actually posting YouTube videos for about 10 years.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: No one watching them, but he was showing up.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: Also I think about my business coach, Myron Golden.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was dabbling with YouTube, and these people that we deem in such high regard, Alacharmozi has tons of videos that he was creating before his quote unquote blow up.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: But the decision to go pro for all three of those individuals that I'm aware of, that, you know, especially two out of three, that actually have genuine relationship with, that that was the decision they made before the outcome happened.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the problem is most of us work backwards.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: We want the outcome without making the decision.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: And so, if you want, literally, the six step framework for how to go pro, keep on listening, but before you keep on listening, I want you to make an internal decision for yourself, for yourself, that you're gonna go pro.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now, going pro comes with responsibility.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: No one is casually a professional.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Professionals make what they do look very easy even right now.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: We're like I would consider myself a professional content creator and the fact that we just whipped up this podcast set up because this is the studio.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is the office and we can just shoot a podcast and if you guys are watching or listening to this we filmed it yesterday
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: So like you're overthinking about showing up online and like overthinking is an amateur activity.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Executing is a professional activity.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I want you to make the decision today and just say, I'm going pro.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like throw it in the chat, throw it in the comments.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: DM me on Instagram and Sam going pro as my album was on my chair.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: So just for clarity, Dan went pro or he chose to go pro 2023.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: That was a year.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Because it was around the same time you started like this whole, like movement into online personal business stuff.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: But I would say I was a pro creator.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: I was pro creation.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was a pro creator prior to that because I was doing content at such a high level.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: with think media.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I was able to get those reps, but I think that that internal decision at that season for me was more everything I do I'm going to do with excellence.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that's probably, is that answer your question?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, so it was 20 23.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: What, when I decided to start this podcast?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: No, just like to start this, oh no, I'm just
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, I wouldn't say I decided to go pro in 20 when I started when I was an adult.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: I decided that like what I do is going to be at the highest level, okay.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: So like maybe in my mind, it's 2023 because that's when like I came back to Vegas.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so me going pro is predicated on art, coming, just kidding.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, that maybe that's a, I mean, that's when I decided to launch the coaching business.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: But going pro in this context, the decision to be great at what you do.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I feel like I've,
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I've been great at what I do for a very long time.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're talking decades at minimum.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Have you decided to go pro?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm not even starting yet, dude.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: My talk is not up yet, bro.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're going to build a personal brand because you're deciding to go pro, this is how you're going to build your bulletproof personal brand this year, the first thing is is decide on a platform you're going to go pro on decide on the platform you're going to go pro on I think it's so important to know what game you're playing based on the platform you want to build on.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with building your audience, your main audience on Instagram.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with building your main audience on threads or X or TikTok.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: Personally, I'm biased because I believe the principle of time in, you know, the amount of time spent with an individual will determine the level of trust someone has with you
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: in any capacity, YouTube for me is one of the greatest places to build your personal brand.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but oh my, which one?
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: How do I choose?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: How do you know how many?
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: You asked that like you just like new for sure.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's what people are asking and it's probably what they're asking.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: For sure, because there's so many, I mean, there's so many options and that's how you go.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I take talk is great.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're all Graham.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: All my friends that are my age have grown their brand on Instagram now.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: They got followers like,
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's also a route to go.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: It is a route.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: My big thing is it's about commitment.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's about decision.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: But how do I know which one to build?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the one that you could easily attack.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the thing.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: When I say that, most people think, short form.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy to make videos in your car.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: So then just do that.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Make videos in your car.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: But Omar, I know YouTube is the mothership of all.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it is, but it will potentially be the hardest route to see fruit from your efforts, just because that's where most people are getting discouraged because your efforts aren't paying off in either finances or feeling like your time.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's worth your time.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's really the reason why people quit.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: So is it wrong for people to go into that decision with in the back of their mind which platform is gonna get me the most reach?
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Is that kind of the wrong way to go about it?
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think I need to say it.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because I believe reach doesn't necessarily mean brand, right?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't think you need a large audience to have high impact.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you need a large audience to make a lot of money.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: And which I'll get to the profits, but we're talking about platform.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's more what you believe you could best serve people in.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's really good.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, and by the way, if you believe in serving people at a high level,
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: If it means for you to show up better by creating longer form content, then do that.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: The reality is like, there are so many personal brand videos right now on YouTube to include Caleb Raustin who uploaded a six hour personal brand course or there are people who uploaded a 15 minute version.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: creator, which one is best to serve the people you want to serve?
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: And you can help a lot of people with your short form stuff.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: You can help a lot of people with long form stuff.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I measure impact with, or maybe the word is influence.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: I measure influence by changing the way somebody thinks about something or acts around something after they met me.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: Whether that was online in person, maybe I influenced a buying decision, maybe I influenced a business decision, a pricing decision, an offer decision, a platform decision, that is real influence.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I have arrived to focusing my personal brand on long-form because of the power of YouTube and my belief, my conviction in YouTube.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: And here, I mean, you could even build an audio podcast thing.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of people last week who were like, yeah, I have my audio podcast.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have video.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, that's great.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: You should still turn on a camera to use short-form to push people to audio, but like, picking a platform, like, if you have a podcast and it's just audio, that's so good.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: If you have emails, if you're like a fire email copywriter, like, amazing.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: You could build a brand, it the idea here is deciding on a platform slash medium, right?
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: The medium on how you want to communicate one to many, which by the way, that's the most powerful thing about building a personal brand the right way is you're able to do it one to many, which condenses time, which when I think about being a good steward of my life and my gifts and my talents.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like stewardship is not just finances, it's also stewarding time.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm shooting this podcast, we're recording this conversation in hopes to reach thousands of people with the one-time delivery of it.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: I can't think of any better use of time than to multiply it in this regard.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's good.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: So did that answer the question?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Which platform should I show up on?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Just pick.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, I mean, for you, it's YouTube.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: But for me, YouTube.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: Pick whatever benefits you, enough to serve somebody the best.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you shouldn't feel like drained.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel drained to create, you need to...
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: You need to be more interested in consume better stuff.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, I mean, a lot of people won't choose YouTube because they're like, well, I'll make eight videos and I'll run out of content to talk about, well, congratulations.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: You just, you just exposed the depth of your expertise.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: You just exposed the depth or the shallowness of your thought leadership by feeling like you can't show up for long periods of time over.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: an extended period of days or years.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: My thing, and here's just on some data, you know, if you want to influence your decision based back on data, the reality is, is the most competitive.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: medium in my opinion is short form content.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's much easier.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: More people than ever are just shooting content on their phone.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: My wife is putting together work out Reels just for fun.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: She's putting together Father's Day Reels just for fun.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so what it seems like to me when I think of reform, the Fraser words that are attached to it is rat race.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like short form really does feel like a rat race now.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I will, I'll say, I believe most social media is rat race mentality.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's keeping up where I feel what I love about YouTube is it there's a shelf life.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's like, if you put in the effort to deliver high valuable, high potent content, it will serve you like I'm getting views from videos I uploaded in 2017.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: which is something to note because short-form platforms don't do that.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: They don't, they're, I think they're trying, like, I mean, I'll, I'll get serve some videos that are a month old or something like that, but yeah.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: But like, not like getting sort of this video, that's a year old.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: Could have a new life.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, YouTube.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: does a really good job.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I have a friend Kyle Anderson who runs Think Media and he said some of the videos that we made in 2018, even, or when shorts first rolled out when we were making these videos, they even, even on YouTube, they have a resurgence.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's something about YouTube and being good at that.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, when I think platform and I just think, like,
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's also just like opportunity, right?
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: The opportunity on YouTube is like, there's more people that are on this platform, YouTube than Netflix users or Hulu users.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to say, combined.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: if I'm not mistaken, like that YouTube is the number one video streaming platform.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that's cap.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's facts.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, for sure.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: So just pick the platform and go.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: That we're talking about going pro.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: You don't decide all the various sports that you're going to get involved in.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you got LeBron James who decided to go pro and basketball and now he's dabbling with golf and we could see his golf swing is very telling that he's dabbling.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe that'll change.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Is that a terrible example or what?
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, secondly, we're talking about going pro.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Number two is production.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Production.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: Production.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: The quality of your content will determine the quality of your opportunities.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: quality opportunities lead to a quality life, which means the quality of your content will determine the quality of your life.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I am a firm believer that if you are pro, then your quality should communicate that.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: there is a perceived expense for quality.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, maybe I need a $10,000 more camera.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, and I'm going to show you, I'm literally going to break your brain in just a second.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: But what people think when they see and hear quality,
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: is they think premium, right?
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, it's like, whoa, when you look at the content and you see how crispy it is, and you, it sounds so good and it sounds so easy to listen to.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: Your, the cost we're incurring is being communicated to you in the form of ease.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's easy to consume the department.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy to consume Omar al-Zakori online because we prioritize quality.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: The quality doesn't mean tens of thousands of dollars, quality means process.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: and you want to ask yourself, what is my current process of building my personal brand or what is my current process of creating content?
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you're a process, which I mean, if you're a high level individual and I'm going to speak to you right now, then this is for you.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: But if your process is like cables everywhere, plugging in stuff, trying to do it, and then like you've got no one around you.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's just nothing about it is pro.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: I would say you're focused on the wrong thing to produce the quality.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hey department fan, pausing the podcast to talk about this life changing sponsorship.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's me.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sponsoring the podcast and the sponsor of this podcast is the content to cast challenge, which is a five day live.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: coaching experience.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: I put on for creators, entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants, and service providers.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like you're stuck in business or maybe there's more to business and to revenue, I'm telling you that you don't have an offer problem.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have an industry problem and you probably don't even have a sales problem.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: What you have is an awareness problem.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: And this is why I have the content to cast challenge because I believe transformation happens on a two way street.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: And how do you know if you're the
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: you're listening to this podcast.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is for you, this is your moment.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: So to take the challenge or jump on the wait list, scan the QR code on the screen or check out the link down in the description below.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get back into the conversation.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: But it's very true that you say quality content, like directly translate to, you know, like premium, because even though that's an extreme that is very true, the opposite is also true.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: So when I see some of your entrepreneur friends that have very high and personal brands,
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: or making millions, they are a premium human being, great humans, great at what they do.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then we see their content that is super low quality, it's blurry, it doesn't sound great.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: it makes me feel like they have a crappy brand or a crappy business and it's a real feeling.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's just, it's, I don't know, very telling that it matters.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like how you show up.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: And by, by, I'm not, and I'm not just, we're not just saying production value.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: We're also saying content value.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: We're saying that the the value of what you're saying what you're conveying is important and also how you carry yourself.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like are you like quality?
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know what's so funny about this word premium is people think premium is a customer decision.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like it people when we think the premium brand when we think premium brand what comes
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Saint Laurent Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Tom Ford, like we think it's like buying expensive stuff.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: We think premium is expensive.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: The truth is is premium is a decision on the brand, not the consumer, or at least in order.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have to decide to be premium before you are perceived premium.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: And what I mean by that,
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: is any opportunity that's presented to you that gives you the ability to identify as premium.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: You should take the opportunity.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my, what does that mean?
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like I should invest in high ticket coaching?
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's not what I'm saying.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: However, when I say I've invested over $350,000 in my own personal development, I can say that.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: But that decision that I've made that I'm going to be premium and so the help that I'm going to find is going to be priced at a high level because I want to be a premium individual.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying even at the point of YouTube premium.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like literally YouTube premium.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you want to be premium and you don't pay for YouTube premium, you gotta, there's a discrepancy, there's a lack of congruency, any opportunity where you get the invitation to identify as premium, you should take the opportunity if you desire to be premium in the marketplace.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I was like, literally, we spoke at I spoke a podcast on it.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone raise their hand.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, who here has YouTube premium?
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: everyone's hands goes on.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: How do you think you're going to crush it on a platform you haven't even invested in yourself?
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: So what is this rant all about?
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: This rant is all about just the decision you need to make that you either are a premium individual or you're not.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: And if you are, you make decisions accordingly.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: So when I talk about quality content, when I talk about production value, I want you to
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: like that aligns with who I am and you can accomplish production value by just renting out a studio like you don't need to buy this stuff.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny because the the the session that I spoke on was entitled the best gear and tricks and workflow hacks and all like the stuff that like the words I kind of run away from and everybody came in and I gave them this talk.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone's asking, like, should I buy this?
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Should I buy that?
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, you should just find a local podcast studio that produces a really great and product and trust them so that you can focus on the content about, yeah, super underrated.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's so underrated.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like most people are biting off more than they could chew by thinking you're going to show up and deliver really good content.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: learn lighting, audio, video, editing, like, that's not pro.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's not pro.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there's a cost to being pro.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I heard this once before it was a Connor McGregor talking about how convicted he was at how much Lebron puts into his body every year.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was saying how it was like a million dollars.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like Lebron puts a million dollars into his body every year.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: And that he was like, well, I want, I mean, I'm one of the best.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: How can that person?
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's like cost.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: to being premium.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: There's a cost to having high production value.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think it's all that much, honestly.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: The ROI on your energy time and the perceived value you'll create for viewers and listeners of your content.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: is it's you can't quantify it.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't actually think that there's not a quantifiable thing.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine you showed up when you decided to go pro, you start showing up and whether it's short form or long form, you're just like people are like, bro, you know what's gonna happen?
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: If you do the content to cash calendar, which I broke down in the last podcast, I promise you, people will in your world.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: The next family function, the next, you know, hang out, people are going to be like, do it, your contents.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm noticing your content.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're going to be like, well, the line in your comment.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, why don't you like and subscribe.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Most people are consuming it.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's just silent and gauge media.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: The number one question I usually get asked by people like you is Omar, how the heck?
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: Does your videos look and sounds so dang crispy?
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the reality is it's the equipment I use and you'd be surprised how inexpensive it could actually be.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I've compiled all my gear and I've updated the list and I want to give it to you.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're listening or watching this, just hit the description box below and I'll send you my gear guide for every budget.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's get back into the conversation.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: Back to what you were saying about the decisions people make to be premium, like you used example of buying YouTube premium, right?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: Would you say like low hanging fruit is even what you decide to wear when you show up or how you look or how you dress?
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I mean, I'm a firm believer in that.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Some people will argue, you know, there's like super rich people that are in a place to wear the same thing every day.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, to each other own, I have a personal conviction that like how I'm perceived.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: is important.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so I care about how I'm perceived.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: And as being a guy who's big on packaging and positioning, which is the third P, I care about how I'm presenting myself.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want people to think to themselves, wow, like dude, Omar, he stands out.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: not in a cheesy way, but in a professional way.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Also with sense, like, yeah, this is something you learned in ATL.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, the amount of compliments I got from people saying, wow, what are you wearing with my scent?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: Not even saying anything, just shaking hands.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I've created a layer, what I'm layering the sense.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I've created a signature scent.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you got signature scent, signature look, and all this stuff influences what people think before you open up your mouth.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you can influence the thoughts of people before you actually physically in person open up your mouth, that's genuine power, like I know that sounds intense, but like no, you have a level of control of the dynamic because you started the conversation in their mind,
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: before you open up your mouth.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is the same for YouTube, by the way.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is this is we can go so deep on this.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: You clicked on this video.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: because I architected a conversation in your mind prior to you clicking on this podcast.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: You started talking to yourself because of the words and the picture used to make you start the conversation, then you click on it, then ask you a question.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: Question is, what comes to mind when you hear the word personal brand or the phrase personal brand?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Then you're like, yeah, I don't know.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I bet you was one of these two things.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm literally,
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting ahead of the conversation.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm playing offense.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I like, I pros can a Kobe, Michael Jordan, not LeBron, give me the ball.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: Give me the ball.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know your pro when you're like, bro, just give me the ball.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: There's 10 seconds.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Give me the ball.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: I watch what's going to happen.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: And that level of confidence comes when you know why you're doing what you're doing.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: But all that to say, yeah, I do think.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting isn't important.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: You can create like a reality for people to walk into when they if you value the thought life, it will change how you show up because
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we all are projecting, by the way, like I'm projecting the, that thought, the, my thought that how you present yourself influenced how people perceive you if people perceive you a certain way.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: That is the filter of how they receive you and I was like, do you think that's a projection though, or do you think that is just true like.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, both hand, I mean, I think there is a project so I have a friend that wears basketball shorts and crocs every day.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like he still lives a life that has to earn and income, influence people, help people through stuff, like, you know, and basketball shorts and crocs every day.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the question is, is that, does that help or hurt you?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I would say it hurts for sure.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so if you know you can do something, that will only help you, if you know that there's decisions you can make, even on a daily standpoint that could only help you then why don't you do it?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: The daily decision to wake up and meet with God.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's a daily meeting with God will only help me.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: not doing it can hurt me.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: The daily decision to get showered and get ready for the day will only help me.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Smelling good.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Only will help me.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: Speaking well, only will help.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're talking about being pro.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that I mean, that's why if you if you feel rubbed the wrong way, chances are as you're meant to play the commodity game or your potentially meant to be forgotten about.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: Ouch, but hey, like if if you if you have something of value inside of you, you You have to value it first and then and then other people will catch on so the first was pick a platform Second was production third is packaging and positioning.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's so important That you decide on the North Star for your personal brand What
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: And this is there, we can go a little bit deeper.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: We actually touched on it last week, but what should, I don't want to say what do you think?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: What should people know you for?
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's a tough one.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: Why is it tough?
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Because I want to say most people struggle with that.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: They don't know.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't want to be known for certain.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they struggle because they don't want to be known for what they're good at right now.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: And there's an honest and acceptable reality to that.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: And that honest, acceptable reality is you, you actually are thinking of yourself years from now, with all the fruit of the actions that you have yet to take.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where our minds are.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, I just want to be a motivational inspirational speaker.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you'll get there.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, you're really good at making sourdough bread.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then at some point, you can evolve.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: I talked about the reinvention of self.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's the greatest content creators, are the ones that have been showing up online and have sustained their engagement or have increased their engagement over time.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: But they've only been able to do that because they have reinvented themselves along the way.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: You can't reinvent what you don't define.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: And so I just want to give you the permission to be known for what you're good at right now.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let your future self contaminate your ability to create an impact for this current season you're in.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's deep, but it's true.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: If you're really good at fitness,
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: you could be a mindset coach later.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just be a mindset coach later.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say I could speak from experience in this because I have reinvented myself.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so you made videos, you made gear videos, yeah, how to edit videos.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: About 10 years, huh?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: We're like 10 years or just under I would say like tutorial base videos.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: So so there was me making videos for people agency.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: Then there was me teaching how to create videos, what cameras to buy, best editing software, how to shoot a podcast.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: But very technical.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: very, but in ATL we were at dinner and our sweet waiter comes up and she's like, hey, you have fans.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we're like, oh, like, you know, maybe they're from Pod Summit.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: And she said, yeah, they said, you help people make money or help.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: She said something business offers money and you were like,
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, because like the the package to be all Omar's to gear guy Omar's a content guy, but now it's very business money-minded stuff and you've all like you've naturally just Just directions and I would say I grew so like the thing is is like if you're committed to intentionally growing Then you will by default evolve but
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: helping people with something that comes easy to you.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally your gift.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: So, which is why I can go into insecurity.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you are afraid to give your gift away because you're afraid of people perceiving you in a way that you don't want to be perceived, I would say you're robbing them from getting the help.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: And, man, it's just so funny because it's like,
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: that's where the money is.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: The money is in the ease of making it.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like when when money is easy to be made, it really means you tapped into your gift in this moment and season.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's so funny.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: We
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always blown away at what who watches the videos or the podcasts, you know, because not everyone comments, not everyone engages, but people do watch.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting healthy views.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: But like last week, I was in the speaker lounge and an actor who I've been following, or I know about if you've ever watched 40-old virgin or, uh,
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: think like a man, there's this actor, his name is Romanny, and he, I saw him at the podcast summit day one, and then he came up to me day two.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, if you're listening, bro, you're a real one, and super grateful.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: That was the highlight of my trip, because he came up to me and he really was.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: He was a haelmore.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, what's happening right now?
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like somebody I watched on the movie screen is like breaking the eighth wall and calling my name and he was telling me how much he appreciates the content and that he comments on every single video.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just like, you have no idea who's watching.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: And you have no idea what they think about you.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like, as much as I'm talking about architecting the thoughts, they take on their own interpretation based on where they're at and life and how you're helping them.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, something I found was people, and I'm gonna get to why I'm even telling the story about Romney, most people fail to realize is that if you desire to be inspirational or motivational, is that you can be that in the season now.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so even when I think about the years I was creating tech gear reviews or, you know, tutorial-based YouTube videos, a lot of people I would meet at events would say, bro, you change my life.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: All of you would be like, dude, my life has never been the same because I did what you said.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, yeah, you launched the podcast, but then launched in the podcast, like two relationships and then boom, like their life's different.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, bro, that's motivation.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's inspiration.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they are thinking me for inspiring them.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: So don't think of motivation and inspiration as a genre.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Just be that.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: If that's who you are, then be it.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: But back to Romany, you know, we were talking and, you know, he's been doing something online, building a community online and I asked him, hey bro, there's just a question why don't you just help actors get paid like why don't you help the career actor like the aspiring career actor because you can help and he's like,
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're the second person that told me that.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: And you would think it's obvious.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: But what's funny is we overlook our gift that we're supposed to give the world because it comes so easy to us.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: And you need people in your life to tell you or guys like me to say,
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: Do the thing that comes easy to you.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: Think about my friend Sam Coleman, who's in luxury real estate.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, man, I don't know.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I should coach agents this time.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: The other just can't do that.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, Sam, can you help somebody?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: How much do you have to prepare for to help someone build a six-figure real estate business?
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, no, zero prep.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, then charge for that.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say, that's the thing you should sell.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: You should sell the thing that comes so easy to you because no white people will hire you.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, nobody wants someone who's complaining at how difficult it is to work with you.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: and we're talking about packaging positioning for your personal brand and here's how I know packaging is so important.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a knife on?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: Do you still have the box that came with?
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: You can say no dude, you can be like, I just cleans out you minimalist you.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: But the truth is we keep things that are premiumly packaged and so I just want to encourage you to care about packaging your
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the next thing is people, people, professional, personal brands, building one requires a team.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: It requires more than just you.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is why I think it's important to invite people into your process of creating or hire it out, paying for the production studio or the podcast studio, hiring someone
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: and or invest into a community or have a collective, the truth is I personally don't know a strong personal brand that accomplished it without team or without more than one other person.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there would be any.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, yeah.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and if anybody did, the truth is it's like, they probably don't didn't sleep well at night.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think if I'm not mistaken,
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think he shot all his videos edited all his videos upload it all and he did everything but then at the cost of having eye bags and yeah, but even then
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: his like podcast he has a co-host I mean yeah he's invited other people into the process and don't forget it's about people don't forget the whole point of your personal brand is because of people and I think we can we can miss out on what matters most and that's the most important thing is who cares to build something if you build it and at the end of it you realize you have no one to celebrate with
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: No one to talk about it with, it's just, you'll miss it.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, something interesting I found when it comes to this idea of investing in people to build the personal brand, investing in team, is I was listening to a podcast with Sharon, who's the CEO of Acquisition.com.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: And he was saying that the Hermosies spend 30% of their revenue on the content.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: And this is like, this is a budget, or an even of revenue, they spend 30% He said edit edit edit.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: He said they spend 30% of their business expense before they make a dollar.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's essentially like the way they see it is, they're gonna bet on brand so much that they will pay allocate 30% of their budget as a business into building brand and team.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's when you invest, you're investing in team, you're investing in editors, you're investing in.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: And when somebody does something at a very high level, it is imperative and important for you to take notice that if they value that at the highest level, how can I, what's my version of that?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: What's my version of that in this season?
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: And it just, it just makes, personally, it makes me feel good to know that.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: building a marketing based or a brand based business was the right move to begin with and I'm telling you building a personal brand is the right move to do like all day.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing is profit.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so okay.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now that you've gone pro to build your personal brand, how are you going to monetize your personal brand?
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: This goes over people's head.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: But you can simply monetize your personal brand by sponsoring your own content.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: By selling something you own, selling something that's yours as opposed to selling somebody else's thing.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: So, sponsor your videos, your brand, talk about your business, create, lead magnets, create opportunities.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: People can leave a platform to go to the next step with you.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: I broke down last podcast.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: It was infinite content, intimate conversion event.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing to connect with people off platform?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it goes down in the DMs, it goes down in Zoom and and creating spaces for people to go to the next step with you is the game and the reality is is you'll
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: you'll have to do so much volume if you're pred- if you're focused on doing brand deals if you're focused and there's nothing wrong with this but if you're focused on brand deals and you focus on Google AddSense and you're focused on affiliate links you could make the journey what you're making it a little bit harder than it needs to be but if you have something to sell if you have a service that you provide like the the
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: The ROI on your efforts of building your personal brand will pay back dividends.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's why I believe we've created one of the highest paying content companies, content education companies is because I decided from day one to sponsor the podcast with the content to cash challenge, which is a five day live coaching experience where we'll help you create the content
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: of your dreams and we have one coming up actually we're doing one which we don't do them all the time But when we do do it, you don't want to miss it.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: So get on the weight list and then we'll send you the invite But it's gonna happen, you know, first week of August, but that's what this that's what I I sponsored the podcast with this I was sponsored the podcast with the lead magnet but fearless like sponsoring your own
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, content, it could happen a lot sooner than people may think, because I think about somebody in your program named Lucidric, he uploaded what four or five YouTube videos on a brand new channel and was able to make 30K with his business, his product, his offer, and yeah, like what are we talking about?
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: And they didn't even have like a lot of views.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm in shout out to Chris Houston, Chris of Houston, lunch is podcast.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think episode three got a $7,500 client off of his efforts of posting content.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking about,
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: even Erica Lamar, who's in real estate, started showing her face, started having a podcast, and it's not always money wins and I know we're on profit, but it's also the profit of relationships, meaning your relational value in the world goes up because of
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: who is aware of what you're doing and people like to work with other people who are just doing their thing.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like the way it goes like tomorrow.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: At the time of filming this, we're going to throw a workshop for our inner circle and I have Brian Miller who's a communication coach coming in and then Daniel Priestley texted me, he's like, yo, I'm in Vegas.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_00]: I said, can you come surprise a group?
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, let's do it and then I have Macy McNeely who
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: Um, teaches sales, then we're going to do an in-person live podcast and meet up and all that is happening because we're all doing our thing.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: We've all decided to go pro.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I think as long as you dabble.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: Not only is the profit financially going to be spread then, but the profit relationally will be spread then, which is something I valued.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's it is people be for profit.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's a reputation before riches.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: Just, just lock-in, twin.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, put that, your link in bio should not be a link tree.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: Please, no.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: Your link in bio should be the one place you want people to go to.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I just have so many places I want.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's the problem.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: Pros, pros, pick one.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: Pick one and be done.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then the last thing is persistence.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: persistence.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you decide to go pro, it doesn't mean you become inconsistent that your persistence increases, your consistency increases.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: And if you've heard me say this once, I'll say it again.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: Intentional consistency leads to indirect opportunity.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Intentional consistency leads to indirect opportunity.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: you showing up consistently on the platform you pre-decided you were not going to quit on.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: So much of the heavy lifting of your brand is in your consistency, which is something that like, A.I.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: necessarily isn't gonna do for you, which is something that no one else is gonna necessarily do for you, you have to show up yourself.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll never forget, genuinely, that we took a week off from posting a podcast and then art felt under the weather, but we didn't have a podcast to post.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: He was down to come into the studio to shoot something, but I also felt like no, it's okay, dude rest.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I shot an episode on edited.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: that I did more for myself than I honestly sorry, sound selfish, I did it more for myself to be consistent to myself, so that I could show, like, okay, I'm gonna go into self-concept in just a moment, but I did it for myself.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: And what's crazy is that podcast was one of the highest viewed podcasts so far this year.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_00]: It has over 120,000 views, unedited, literally unedited.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: you didn't touch it.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just uploaded it straight from the camera into YouTube through a thumbnail through a title and has 120,000 views.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if it got a thousand views, it was about me showing up, which the most underrated overlooked thing about you and the sales you desire to have in business
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: what you think about when you think about yourself influences the sales you are currently experiencing or the lack of and when you do things in life not just in business but in life and business that influence a positive self-concept, a by-product of a positive self-concept is an increased in sales.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, if there's ever a reserve, if you have a reserve about your own self, because you knew you should have done that and you didn't, because you gave them your word and you didn't stay stick to your word, like what you're actually doing is you're actually killing your own self concept of yourself, and there's something to say about giving yourself the opportunity to build yourself concept, so that when your personal brand is
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: at God's timing becomes what you desire it to be, that you have the characters to sustain it, and also that you have the confidence to continue to show up.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: and that just comes with persistence.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same in any arena.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same in fitness.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same in business.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same in families.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same in marriage.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: But like as long as you're hiding something, there is a integrity gap.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: And people can feel in insecurity.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: People can feel a lack of integrity.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: They just wonder, like, why is there something feels off here?
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: You can also have the other way around healthy self-concept.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_00]: And this feels real good.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: Everything about this, I trust you.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: You talk with so much conviction.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, all that is just from a formula showing up, which is like a really cool payoff, by the way.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can't buy that, but you can't buy your short cut to a healthy self-concept, right?
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: You actually have to work for that.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is why people who want tactics all the time, only want tactics, want to ignore mindset because they're over it.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: They don't get it.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so much of mindset is why they'll be successful in the future, you know?
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's how you go pro with your personal brand.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you are still listening or watching DM me on Instagram, and if you've been thinking about it or you've heard about it, I want to encourage you to take the content to cast challenge happening the first week of August, and if you're listening to this podcast after that, there's probably one coming up with the big ideas to click the link, fill
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that was a really good podcast all along.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_00]: We go 56 minutes.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go 56.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great week.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_00]: Do the work.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: Go pro.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: Peace out.
