- 0:00This Mullah Rahman Al Rahim Salaam Alaikum Rahatul Rakato
- 0:02runs this and welcome back to AFTERMATH of this week.
- 0:05We have a really interesting episode, in some ways explosive,
- 0:08in some ways contemplative, but we're going to be talking about
- 0:11different alternative views, some may say deviations that you
- 0:15may find in modern day Islam. Now, these are opinions which
- 0:20are held sometimes by scholars or by groups.
- 0:23Some would describe themselves as shitty, some may not.
- 0:26Some may say they follow an alternative path, a different
- 0:28mindset, but what we're gonna do is we're gonna put these points
- 0:33of view forward to what we would believe is a mainstream or
- 0:36solely Amami 12/12, a scholar, and see what his points of view
- 0:41are. So a couple of disclaimers
- 0:43before we get into it. The first thing is that we are
- 0:46just podcast hosts and we're not scholars.
- 0:48So part of that means that our responsibility is to engage with
- 0:51our respected guests, to ask him questions, and also at times to
- 0:54play maybe a slight devil's advocate role, of course, while
- 0:57trying to maintain our decorum and respect for the speakers.
- 0:59We do have a lot of respect for him.
- 1:01But also secondly, to encourage you at home to go home and
- 1:05research to find truth, to find help.
- 1:07Because ultimately it's our own personal beliefs which are
- 1:11always on the line. We are always hearing different
- 1:13points of view on social media, incentives.
- 1:17And our responsibility is to have complete conviction, Iman
- 1:21and Yakin in what we believe in, such that when we are faced with
- 1:24different points of views, with arguments from friends, from
- 1:27families, from peers, we know what to say.
- 1:29We know how to defend ourselves and our religious belief system
- 1:34as well. So some of these brothers,
- 1:36sisters, we are going to just to kind of tease you in Charlotte
- 1:38so you can stay till the end of the episode.
- 1:40We're going to be talking about things like the birth of Imam
- 1:42and Methi doesn't even exist. If he does exist, where is he
- 1:45and what benefit is he to us? The Imams of the Alabet, Ali
- 1:48Musalam, including our Holy Prophet Muhammad sallam, were
- 1:52they error free in reality or did they, for example, miss a
- 1:55prayer at times? Did they ever make mistakes?
- 1:57Were they just righteous scholars?
- 1:59Our Howser institutions, our munaja, are they free from sin
- 2:03or do they make errors or in some cases, are they bad people
- 2:07themselves? These are just a few of the
- 2:09things we're going to talk about and put forward to our respected
- 2:12guest before we introduce him. It gives me great honour as
- 2:15always to be joined by my dear brother, said Ali Dada.
- 2:18We slam, Aliakum said now. How are you bro?
- 2:30At Hamdullah, how you keeping at?
- 2:32Hamdullah, Hamdullah. These are, of course, still days
- 2:35of mourning, days of commemoration, and it's an
- 2:39important opportunity for us to continue to search for knowledge
- 2:42and to continue to learn from the story of Abdullah Hussain
- 2:45Ali Salaam while we are still in these blessed and sorrowful
- 2:49days. I.
- 2:49Sent and I think we owe it to them.
- 2:51I think we also ourselves to be on the path of soccer, not to be
- 2:54confused in this world of confusion.
- 2:56And you mentioned so many discussion points that shallow
- 2:58will get into and I'm like, I'm not exposed to half of these
- 3:01things. So I need to be aware of what's
- 3:04happening, what's been spreading around certain communities
- 3:06within. I'm hearing between friends as
- 3:08well. So I just need to be careful
- 3:11about myself, about my family and those.
- 3:13But I love closer and. Of course I'm looking forward
- 3:15and joining us, our brothers, sisters, is not someone who is
- 3:18unfamiliar to you, it's someone who's been on the aftermarket
- 3:21podcast before and is always highly requested and they're
- 3:24very respected, said Matthew Madarasi Salaam.
- 3:27Alaikum, thank you so much for. For coming back to aftermarket
- 3:30A. Pleasure.
- 3:31Absolute pleasure. It's a great podcast and program
- 3:36that apparently is now one of the most popular Shia Islamic
- 3:43podcast anywhere in the world. So kudos to you both.
- 3:46Masha, thank you. It's a great job.
- 3:48We hope it's a benefit, inshallah there's people such as
- 3:52yourselves who allow it to be a benefit.
- 3:53By the way, I I love the fact that you shake hands every time
- 3:56you introduce the podcast as if like you haven't seen each other
- 4:00for for a few months. But it's it's nice.
- 4:02It's nice. 2 minutes. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:06Yeah, I was looking for signs of like not being genuine, but no,
- 4:09no, it really is. Pretty awesome.
- 4:10Just love. It's pure love.
- 4:12Have you said how's your time being in London?
- 4:14And this is not your first or second.
- 4:15It's probably a 50th time in London.
- 4:17Wonderful. No, the, the, the thing about
- 4:20London for me is that it's, it's become like a home away from
- 4:25home. I know so many people and I
- 4:28really enjoy the community, the vibes.
- 4:33Obviously, I'm not talking about London as a city, but London as
- 4:36a host for a wonderful community of believers who, especially in
- 4:44Muharram, they really shine. And so it's it's one of my
- 4:48favorite places to go to. So yeah, it's wonderful to be
- 4:52back. Hamdallah, Hamdallah, I highly
- 4:54encourage anyone at home to check out the Sade's series that
- 4:58he's done both in the first ashalah and the second online.
- 5:01It's been really beneficial and Hamdallah we had the the honour
- 5:04to to attend a few of the Majalis.
- 5:06I'm saying that I know this is something which is a passionate
- 5:10topic to many now. People who are listening at home
- 5:13will fall in different sides of the epistemological spectrum.
- 5:17Some will be more spiritual, some will be more tafkiki.
- 5:21You could say more akhbari or more asuli, but different people
- 5:24have different points of view. I think maybe to kick off a
- 5:30question about how to approach knowledge and where we gain
- 5:34knowledge from as members of the community, Where should we be
- 5:38seeking knowledge and and who should we be seeking that
- 5:41knowledge from? Wow, a very pivotal question
- 5:47which I think requires A dense response, but I'll do my best
- 5:52and if I go over the time limit allocated to this question do do
- 5:57let me know. But essentially the way I would
- 6:02approach this would be to ask the question of what is the most
- 6:11important thing for us as human beings living through this
- 6:15transient life. And because we are Muslim, we
- 6:20also believe in the afterlife. We believe that this life is
- 6:23only a, a bridge that connects two different worlds in which we
- 6:28are being tested and we have to we have to pass that test.
- 6:33What would be the most important thing for us given our position?
- 6:39And the answer is guidance and knowledge, right?
- 6:43Everything else can can take a back seat.
- 6:47I mean, people come in different shapes and sizes, different
- 6:51ethnicities, different nationalities, different
- 6:53families, different, you know, socio economic levels.
- 7:00But at the end of the day, if the purpose of our life in this
- 7:02world is to seek God and satisfy him and and make him pleased
- 7:11with us, then the question that follows from that is, well, how.
- 7:17And the how has been the subject of debate by, you know, millions
- 7:24of, of scholars and godly men, ungodly men, religious leaders,
- 7:31philosophers and whatnot for eons.
- 7:35So how we derive that knowledge becomes absolutely critical to
- 7:42our very survival in the next life, if not this one.
- 7:48So what? Whatever happens here is
- 7:50ultimately temporary and so doesn't really matter that much.
- 7:54It's what happens to me in the next life.
- 7:55And if I get it wrong, then this is a not just a grave risk, but
- 8:01you know, it, it's it, it could determine whether or not I go to
- 8:07heaven or hell. So where do we derive knowledge?
- 8:12I think the prophets whose existence and whose connection
- 8:19with God we acknowledge. And it's part of our faith to
- 8:22accept not just our prophet, but all the previous revelations as
- 8:26well. They've all been consistent on
- 8:28this, that ultimately you have to follow the prophets guidance
- 8:37and anything else, no matter how enticing, no matter how
- 8:41interesting, is not going to lead you towards salvation.
- 8:46So essentially what we need is revelation and our beliefs, our
- 8:53values have to be based on revelation and grounded in the
- 8:59teachings of these prophets and apostles.
- 9:02Other aspects of our lives. We could refer to specialists
- 9:06in, you know, whatever field that that we happen to need.
- 9:11If I fall sick, I should go to the doctor.
- 9:14And you know, doctors and other professionals in society, at
- 9:19least now there is a mechanism by which they get accredited and
- 9:24they get certified and they have to demonstrate their knowledge
- 9:29and expertise in that field. But when it comes to religious
- 9:32knowledge, you don't have a very clear definition of what
- 9:36accreditation means. So we believe in God, we follow
- 9:39him because of that. We believe in the prophets and
- 9:42we follow them. Then the next question is, well,
- 9:45what's our conduit to the prophets and how do we know what
- 9:49the Prophet said? And so of course, you know, we
- 9:51could delve into topics like hadith and the transmission of
- 9:56hadith and authenticity and whatnot, But I want to give like
- 9:58a broad, a broader response to that.
- 10:01And it lies at a hadith of Imam al River Ali Salah to us.
- 10:04Salam in which the Imam and there's context to it, but I
- 10:07think that's irrelevant for for the purpose of our discussion.
- 10:10The Imam says to someone one of his companions, and this is in
- 10:14one of the one of the most authentic books compiled by a
- 10:17Sheikh Sadouq specifically about the hadith of Imam Aliyah
- 10:22Salaam. The Imam says whoever listens to
- 10:29a speaker, they are worshipping the speaker.
- 10:32Or perhaps the meaning is they're worshipping the subject
- 10:37matter that the speaker is presenting them with, and
- 10:39worship here means. They're taking it as gospels.
- 10:43Exactly. They they will, they will obey
- 10:46what they've been told because they take it as the gospel
- 10:48truth, they take it as revelation, they take it as
- 10:51something that they must follow. So the Imam then goes on to say
- 10:56fame Khan and not the Quan Allah.
- 10:58If that person is speaking with knowledge derived from
- 11:04revelation from Allah Subhanahu to Allah Allah, then that person
- 11:08is worshipping God when Khan and not the Quran is shaitaan.
- 11:14And if the speaker is is motivated by desire and
- 11:18temptation and Shaitaan is the one feeding him the information,
- 11:21then that's what I'm worshiping. So we have to be really, really
- 11:25careful who we take our knowledge from.
- 11:27And then the Imam goes on to explain how you need to discern
- 11:33and distinguish between a righteous speaker and someone
- 11:37who is not. And so I think on a practical
- 11:40level, this is something that we need to keep in mind, and not
- 11:44just in the back of our minds, but really at the very forefront
- 11:49when choosing who we listen to, who we learned from, whose
- 11:53classes do we attend, and whose group do we become a member of.
- 11:59Is this person someone who's bringing me closer to God or
- 12:02away from God? And that usually isn't a very
- 12:04difficult thing to figure out. But for some people who are
- 12:09perhaps simple minded or don't put in the effort or don't have
- 12:15the metrics to kind of measure whether this person is truthful
- 12:21or or not, it becomes really confusing for them.
- 12:25OK, All right. I think that sounds good.
- 12:27With your permission said, we're going to start throwing some,
- 12:29some some topics at you. And I think a lot of these will
- 12:33be known or at least familiar to some at home who have kind of
- 12:37been engaging on online discourse, who have been seeing
- 12:41lectures about certain topics, who have been hearing speakers
- 12:43come forward with alternative opinions.
- 12:45Some of these are are New Age topics and some have been
- 12:48debated since the beginning of the school of thought said.
- 12:53And I know we've discussed this kind of behind the scenes, but
- 12:57one of these is, is YouTube groups which have appeared,
- 13:01groups which have a Bathia like mentality who sympathize, for
- 13:05example, the enemies of the Alberta name of Salaam and of
- 13:07course bring down maybe the status of the other base on home
- 13:11Assam as per the the mainstream Shia point of view.
- 13:14What do you reckon? No, that's very true because
- 13:16there is this rise of I think what is known as Alamala bra,
- 13:19this view, this concepts idea, and it's been presented by
- 13:23people who are normal Shia listening will believe they
- 13:27represent the method by the debates.
- 13:29They don't see any differences. They don't read between the
- 13:31lines. They just hear sounds good
- 13:34sounds like they have a point, but what's the reality?
- 13:36Because I can be confused say it and I I'm going to say it like
- 13:39this Annie. I'm born as a Shia Hamdan.
- 13:41I was raised a Shia. I I have the opportunity to
- 13:44spend time with Shia scholars. I have the opportunity to I
- 13:50would say the blessing not to be misguided and we believe on hack
- 13:53and shallow. We'll remain on hack and die on
- 13:55hack. But there comes a time where we
- 13:59grow up. We are exposed to new ideas.
- 14:02We are exposed to different speakings, different speakers,
- 14:05different works, different theories.
- 14:11I can say at times, and one of them is OK, we've grown up
- 14:15knowing our imams. I'm awesome.
- 14:17We've grown up knowing our imams, a Hodge of God on this
- 14:20earth. We've grown up that they are
- 14:22referees. And three, they are divinely
- 14:24connected to Allah. They represent the message of
- 14:26Islam. They represent us all Allah.
- 14:28But now I've been told they're just a righteous scholar.
- 14:32How do I as a Shiite, make sure that I'm not confused by this?
- 14:36Because I know friends that are discussing this as saying maybe
- 14:40that's right. How do I guide them and ensure I
- 14:43protect myself and those listening at home and we don't
- 14:46fall trapped to this nonsense. And I see it as nonsense because
- 14:50you can't be Shia if you don't believe that they are, if
- 14:53they're not, if they're not infallible.
- 14:55Like these are cool principle foundational elements for us
- 15:00all, the Shia. Is it?
- 15:01And so just to add, is that actually something which is
- 15:04outside of the fold of to share? So if I was to say, for example,
- 15:08the Imams were not infallible, the Imams were just righteous
- 15:11scholars, top scholars, righteous but not infallible,
- 15:14does that take me outside of the fold of Shiism?
- 15:16Absolutely. The reason for that is one of
- 15:20the foundational tenets of our faith is that the Imams of the
- 15:23Arab Eight were appointed by God #1 and #2 they.
- 15:29It is binding upon us to obey their every command.
- 15:34If you say that they were mere scholars, albeit high-ranking,
- 15:40highly knowledgeable, astute in every way, then it it removes
- 15:46them from being sort of in a position where you must obey
- 15:52them, must obey them, right? Muftar ABBA as.
- 15:56You put it. Yeah, so if you don't obey them,
- 15:59you'll go to hell. Essentially.
- 16:01If you don't obey them, you've disobeyed God.
- 16:04If you say there were mere scholars and take away
- 16:08infallibility or the fact that they were in our end, what
- 16:11happens is if they're not infallible, it means that at
- 16:15least some of their instructions could be fallible and therefore
- 16:20wrong. And so how could it
- 16:22simultaneously be that I must follow them, but that some of
- 16:26their instructions are wrong? It just doesn't add up.
- 16:29Logically speaking is wrong. But going back to the, to the
- 16:34main question, which is that, you know, we, we see the rise of
- 16:40tiny fringe groups like, let's not, let's not give them any
- 16:43more credit than they than they deserve.
- 16:46They like to think that they are gaining a lot of ground and
- 16:51converting, you know, thousands of souls and whatnot.
- 16:54But the reality is we know who they are.
- 16:56You could see their WhatsApp groups and you could see their,
- 16:59their YouTube channel. And, and, and you can see that
- 17:03it's like, yeah, you know, it's a couple of dozen here and
- 17:05there. But for me, the reason I feel
- 17:10obligated to respond is #1 it's a falsehood.
- 17:14And a falsehood requires a response.
- 17:17And secondly, because every single soul matters.
- 17:20And I don't want to see just like, you know, if I had a
- 17:23friend who was like, influenced by these people, I wouldn't want
- 17:25my friend to be swept away by this kind of nonsense.
- 17:29And so to address the main problem, I think we need to look
- 17:33at it like this. First of all, this whole
- 17:36Cartesian approach of trying to start with doubt and then, you
- 17:43know, develop my epistemology based on that is definitely
- 17:50wrong. If you look at the Quran, if you
- 17:51look at the Hadith, if you look at the in fact, you know by me,
- 17:55by, by the mere faculty of intellect and rational thinking,
- 18:00we know that people don't base their lives and their
- 18:03epistemological system of beliefs on doubt.
- 18:08They build it on certainty. You start with a solid bedrock
- 18:13and then you'll build on that. If you start with doubt, then
- 18:16you're, you know, soon enough you're going to doubt
- 18:19everything, right? And we've seen people like that.
- 18:23So start with, with the certainties.
- 18:28The Quran speaks about the concept of Mocham and Mutashaab,
- 18:31for example, right? The Mocham is the, the
- 18:35definitive, the clear, the, the statements or the verses in the
- 18:39Quran, which are are, you know, so transparent.
- 18:44You know, pretty much anyone can understand them if they have a
- 18:46like a basic level of Arabic comprehension.
- 18:50If you come across a verse that is allegorical, that can have
- 18:53multiple meanings that might be a little confusing, then what
- 18:57you do is you, you refer to the allegorical verse back to the
- 19:01definitive 1. So you build on the definitive
- 19:05verse on that solid bedrock and then you bring this verse.
- 19:08And what it does often times is that it takes away much of the
- 19:11confusion. It may not clarify the meaning
- 19:14of the verse definitively, but at the very least it'll remove
- 19:20the areas of, or at least you know, many parts of the
- 19:25confusion that that you had when you first read the allegorical
- 19:29verse. And there are many examples of
- 19:31that. I don't want to get into it, but
- 19:33let's apply this principle to our beliefs.
- 19:36So our beliefs are based on the oneness and the existence of a
- 19:42loss upon. Then we get to the point where
- 19:47Allah, Spano Ta'ala created us given His wisdom, given His
- 19:51knowledge, given his sense of purpose, for lack of a better
- 19:56term, in in creating the universe.
- 19:59Surely there must be purpose for my life, and that purpose should
- 20:03be communicated to me, right? I need to know what I'm supposed
- 20:06to do. I need to know how to reach my
- 20:08full potential and do the right thing.
- 20:10So profits come into play and then the profits then have.
- 20:16Individuals that are appointed by Allah Subhanahu to Allah once
- 20:19again, because the role they play is more or less the same as
- 20:22the role of the prophets minus the revelation, minus that
- 20:27direct communication from Allah subhanahu to Allah.
- 20:30But essentially what they're, what they're designed to do,
- 20:34these successors, the imams, is that they provide a practical
- 20:41application for the teachings of those prophets and guide the
- 20:45nation and ensure that the nation doesn't go astray.
- 20:48So if we apply this principle, what about the imams of the
- 20:53Arabite? Are they infallible?
- 20:55Are they prone to error? Do they forget?
- 20:58And so on. And the response of Shiite
- 21:02scholars for the last 14 centuries is that there's no
- 21:06question. And I'm speaking about
- 21:08mainstream Shia scholars. There might have been a few
- 21:11fringe elements here and there because ultimately you have fake
- 21:14impostors throughout the ages. I mean, the fact that we have a
- 21:17bunch of clowns today, yeah, doesn't mean that this is a new
- 21:21phenomenon, like it's been around for a long time.
- 21:23Can I ask, sorry, just on that there are there these like let's
- 21:27be real, a lot of the times these points of views comes from
- 21:30people with an academic background or those who have
- 21:32studied or sons of scholars or whatever it may be.
- 21:35And these people, they find their beliefs based off
- 21:39something tangible which they can use as a basis for that
- 21:42deviation as some may call it. Now for example, we've seen
- 21:45academic works in Iran which which push Olamal Abrar.
- 21:50We've seen hadith in different books which say that for
- 21:54example, Salaam Hamad sallallahu alayhi Salaam that there are at
- 21:57least nine narrations that he missed a lot al fajr.
- 22:00Or for example, Ibn Abiyat 4 who debated Allah bin hones at the
- 22:06time of Omar Masadiq. And you may say that in that
- 22:10narration, he devalued or lowered the, the, the maqam of
- 22:14the Imam and the Imam accepted it.
- 22:16Or for example, if I can add just one more say in the concept
- 22:19of al Muqab that the Imam let's, let's, let's make it
- 22:22contemporary, right? So we're in the season Muharram
- 22:24Mustafar. If the Imams, if Imam al Hussein
- 22:27al Islam had al Muqab, why would he send Muslim women Akhil to
- 22:31Kufa? Why would he know?
- 22:32Why would he, why would he go tell him to go and scout the
- 22:34area if he knew what was to come right in in in the can I speak
- 22:39to Imam al Mehdi? If I can speak to Imam al Mehdi
- 22:42now, why couldn't Muslim speak to Imam al Hussain then and tell
- 22:46him about the dangers to come? These are all arguments which
- 22:48are put forward and and posed. OK, that's a lot I know A.
- 22:52Lot of points to address there, so if I do forget to address any
- 22:55of them, do remind me. But just taking a step back for
- 23:00a moment, I think it's critical that we employ the concept of
- 23:06muta shabba being sort of evaluated by and clarified by
- 23:13the Mocham. And so we have a Mocham.
- 23:19We have a lot of Mocham, but one of them is this verse is is as
- 23:30clear as it gets. I mean, the power in the the the
- 23:36entirety of the power of the Arabic language has been
- 23:39employed to explicitly imply that the imams of the Arabic are
- 23:47infallible. There's no question about it.
- 23:49And Nama adapt, you read Allah. Allah wants to le again the
- 24:02tokit. It's to emphasize something.
- 24:04You're the heba ancomo rich Sir ehel bait wyuta helicom.
- 24:09Allah has already said that he wants to remove impurities from
- 24:12you. But once again, alas, Palatala
- 24:13reiterates wyuta helicom, then he reiterates 1/3 time tahira.
- 24:19So all of this put together, if this doesn't suggest
- 24:23infallibility, I don't know what does.
- 24:26And surely we know that this verse is not talking about
- 24:31physical impurities because physical impurities come in
- 24:35contact with prophets and messengers all the time, right?
- 24:38There's, there's blood, for example, in any battle, and that
- 24:42blood is physically impure. So God isn't speaking about
- 24:46physical impurities or ritual impurities.
- 24:49He's speaking about what spiritual impurities, which are
- 24:53sins. Otherwise, what are spiritual
- 24:56impurities? Obviously there we're talking
- 24:58about sin. Now, all of this still doesn't
- 25:03prove the infallibility of the Alabama Salaam, but.
- 25:06Could they not be infallible? Sorry to interrupt, You said.
- 25:08Could they not be infallible purely on theology and Al Qaeda
- 25:12and preaching? That's not what the verse is
- 25:14saying. The verse is absolute.
- 25:18It's general. It's speaking so any and all
- 25:25sins, right? And although forgetfulness is
- 25:31not a sin, but is it not an impurity?
- 25:35Like for someone who was forgetful, wouldn't you think
- 25:37that's a flaw? It's a blemish.
- 25:39It's a blemish, right? That's number one.
- 25:43Number two, look, broadly speaking, once again, I think
- 25:49exaggeration or Hulu as it's commonly referred to is the
- 25:53other side of the coin of taksir.
- 25:57And so my personal belief is that many of the people who fall
- 26:01into taksir meaning that they. Take away from.
- 26:07They, they, they, yeah, they reduce the rank of the other
- 26:10bait and they deny and reject some of their attributes and
- 26:16features and whatnot. Is a reaction to Hulu.
- 26:21That's why you find more of these two extremes in certain
- 26:27societies than others, right? The more you have Hulu, the more
- 26:33you're going to have people who engage in Tarsir.
- 26:36And that's not necessarily the case across the board.
- 26:39So some countries where there's a more of a balance, where the
- 26:43view is more mainstream, it's more sort of in line with the
- 26:47truth of the matter and the reality of the Arubet Ali Hum
- 26:51Salaam. You don't have these two
- 26:53extremes. But in some societies, and I
- 26:55don't think we need to name names, but there are communities
- 26:58and societies out there which suffer from one of these two,
- 27:02which inevitably leads to the other emerging as well as a
- 27:05reaction as a reaction to it, right.
- 27:07So if you, if you grew up in a community, for example, where
- 27:11all you heard was like fava and miracles and things like that,
- 27:16which kind of start to verge into Hulu, or you assume that
- 27:22this is a form of Hulu, you're going to develop an autoimmune
- 27:27disorder in your brain that causes you to go to the other
- 27:33end of the extreme right. So that's kind of my, my, my
- 27:36sort of social analytical view of why we have these things.
- 27:42But getting back to a reference that you both brought up, which
- 27:45is Olama Abrah. So I think it's important that
- 27:49we address this because it's, it's funny how easy it is to
- 27:54dismiss this entire theory. So the term comes from a hadith
- 27:59where and one of his friends, Ibn Abiyafur at the time of Imam
- 28:07Sadhq Ali Salam, they get into a debate and the debate starts off
- 28:11like this. One says to the other that Olama
- 28:15O and be up. Sorry, I'll see O and be up.
- 28:19The successors are prophets now. Just stopping here for a second,
- 28:24which successors? Who are we talking about?
- 28:26Because the successors of many of the previous prophets were in
- 28:30fact prophets themselves. So in a way, the point he's
- 28:34making is not entirely wrong, right?
- 28:36Unless you try to apply it to the imams of the Arabite who
- 28:40have consistently said that we are not prophets.
- 28:42Rasulullah himself has said he's the seal of the Prophets, he's
- 28:45the final messenger and he has said famously to Amir al
- 28:49Mumminin, Ya Ali and Tammini be Manzilati, Harun and Musa.
- 28:53You are to me like the rank or station of Harun to Musa Ilan
- 28:59hula nabiya badi, except that there is no prophet after me.
- 29:02So if you apply this principle to all of the successors,
- 29:06including the imams, it becomes problematic.
- 29:08Otherwise by itself it's it's kind of factual.
- 29:13The other says to him, no, Aloucia or Olama or Abrar,
- 29:19they're not prophets. They are righteous, godly,
- 29:22knowledgeable scholars, ulama scholars abroad, good people,
- 29:27right? And so some people have tried to
- 29:29kind of capture this and say that, oh, this means that the
- 29:34imams of the Arab 8 are not divinely appointed leaders for
- 29:39humanity, rather they're righteous scholars, really good
- 29:42people will respect them, but don't give them more than they
- 29:46deserve. So what happens is they come to
- 29:49an agreement that we should go and consult A mamasada al
- 29:51esalam. We might as well, right?
- 29:54So they go to the Imam. The hadith actually says, and I
- 29:57have it right here, actually, I looked it up, it says that when
- 30:01they went, so it was Ibn Abiyafoor who said LOCRO Olama
- 30:08abroad Atria said LOCRONBA. So when they went to see the
- 30:14Imam Al Philem, Mr. Carla Majlis Suhoma, the narrator of the
- 30:18hadith says that when they sat down, they settled Bada Bada
- 30:23Ahoma Abu Abdullah, the Imam initiated the conversation
- 30:29addressing the two of them for Kaliya ABBA Abdullah.
- 30:33ABBA Abdullah is in reference to Muallabni Kunis, that was Kuniya
- 30:38Abraham Mankhala in Ambiya. I seek refuge, meaning an Allah,
- 30:44from those people who say we are prophets because there were
- 30:47people who would make this claim, Abu Khabab and others,
- 30:50they made claims similar to these.
- 30:54Now those who have tried to capitalize on this hadith and
- 30:58use it to their advantage, they miss a key point.
- 31:03If the Imams are obviously. By the way, the Imam didn't
- 31:08really elaborate much. He simply said we're not
- 31:10prophets, right? Did he say that we are merely
- 31:14righteous scholars? No, he simply rejected one of
- 31:19the sides of the argument. Did you not go further than
- 31:21that? And no, no, no, no.
- 31:23No, no, no he didn't, OK #1 the Imam didn't adopt the opposing
- 31:30view, he simply rejected this one, right #2 And more
- 31:35importantly, if the Imams are simply righteous, godly, pious
- 31:39scholars and nothing more, how did the Imam what they were
- 31:43talking about to begin with? Because the hadith specifically
- 31:47says when they sat down, the Imam beda a homa, he started, he
- 31:52initiated the conversation and said something that proved the
- 31:57Imam knew what they were talking about.
- 32:00They weren't in front of him, they were outside, they were
- 32:03somewhere else, they came. Which debunks the whole theory,
- 32:07completely dismantles it and it proves that the Imam has what?
- 32:12Knowledge of the unseen knowledge of a conversation
- 32:15between two people in a private setting?
- 32:17But the Imam knew all about it. How so?
- 32:21In a way, the Imam is rejecting the notion that they are
- 32:24prophets, but at the same time he's not adopting the idea that
- 32:28we are merely righteous scholars.
- 32:31They have knowledge of the unseen.
- 32:32They were divinely appointed. As I said, the divine
- 32:36appointment of the Imams is the very foundation of our faith.
- 32:40If someone rejects that, they're rejecting Emira Mukhmani being
- 32:44appointed as the successor of Rasulullah, which is proved and
- 32:50established by verses in the Quran, as well as the Hadith
- 32:53corpus, as well as Hadith Radir and others.
- 32:57If you reject the divine appointment of the Imams, you're
- 33:00absolutely not a Shia. You can call yourself whatever
- 33:03you want. So you feel like this, this
- 33:06whole idea of Allahabad is like initiated somewhere was inspired
- 33:10by Sunni Islam, for example, when they use a similar
- 33:13argument. That exactly the Sunnis say
- 33:16this. The Sunni community views the
- 33:19Arabic as what? As really good people,
- 33:22righteous, pious, knowledgeable, right?
- 33:25They put them in the same brackets of as the Abu Hanifa
- 33:27and and so on for that. Reason.
- 33:29Yeah, so, so so basically the the disagreement between the two
- 33:34major sects within Islam is about the obedience of the Arab
- 33:408 and that it's binding, it is obligatory and there's no ifs or
- 33:45buts about it. If you remove this, I don't know
- 33:47what you are. So just just kind of as a little
- 33:51breather for those at home because we've got so many things
- 33:54to talk about and I, I think we could spend a few hours just on
- 33:57this. I have a lot of questions about
- 33:59Ilmel and Rabe and Ilmel, Rabe and a lot of other stuff, but I
- 34:03think for the sake of. By the way, can I say one more
- 34:06thing? Just.
- 34:08To sort of, I'm sorry, wrap up the point about what I'm talking
- 34:11about. Sorry if you could also mention
- 34:12that Imam Hussain and Muslim staying in the communication
- 34:15with the MI. Sure.
- 34:16So one more point I want to mention is that a few years ago,
- 34:20about 3 or 4 years ago, you know, that this fringe group
- 34:25started, you know, saying stuff like that and trying to push the
- 34:29Olama Abrar narrative. And at the time I responded to
- 34:33them in a in a series of videos called Debunking Doubt.
- 34:38And I remember towards the end, so maybe it was like episode 7
- 34:42or 6, I, I brought up the hadith and I addressed this point and
- 34:47I'm like, how did the Imam know then if he's simply a righteous
- 34:50scholar, which makes him pretty much like you and I or any of
- 34:54the that we have who don't have knowledge of the unseen.
- 34:58And the group and its leader never responded to this.
- 35:01They've churned out dozens of videos since then, right?
- 35:06Some of them defamatory, derogatory, absolutely
- 35:10disgusting in the language they use against not just me but like
- 35:13senior Ulama and Maraja. But they've avoided addressing
- 35:17this specific point because they have no answer.
- 35:20As for Imam and Hussein sending Muslim, I mean that's like
- 35:24saying why did God send all these prophets who ended up
- 35:31getting killed by their people. I mean we don't question a loss
- 35:36of Hana Utah Allah or his vice Germans.
- 35:39See once you establish the imams as being divinely appointed, you
- 35:42don't subject them to any questioning.
- 35:45You know that their every action is guided by a loss of Hana Utah
- 35:51Allah and knowledge that's been given to them by Allah through
- 35:54the Prophet. End of discussion.
- 35:57Otherwise, this was the problem with so many Muslims in the time
- 36:00of Imam Hassan and later Imam Hussein.
- 36:03When Imam Hassan signed the truce with Moawiya, how did most
- 36:08people around him react to that? They're like, how could you do
- 36:12this? Moawiya, his people, these are
- 36:14treacherous. These are, you know, people who
- 36:19who don't subscribe to religion. They are the worst forms of
- 36:24evil, right? How could you sign a truce with
- 36:26them? And Imam hasn't had to remind
- 36:29each and every single one of them.
- 36:31Haven't you heard Rasulullah saying al Hassan, al Hussein,
- 36:34Imaman Kama, al Qaeda? We are Imams, meaning divinely
- 36:40appointed leaders, whether we choose to rise or we choose to
- 36:45not rise and sit it out and sign a treaty or whatever it is,
- 36:50right? You must obey them.
- 36:52You must follow them. And then later when Imam and
- 36:55Hussein Ali as Salaam, shockingly enough, when the Imam
- 36:59tried to rise, it was the same group of people who were like,
- 37:03why are you doing this? You're going to get yourself
- 37:05killed and whatnot because you can make the same argument about
- 37:08Imam Hussein and why he chose to go towards Kufa Salamullah when
- 37:13he knew. And I, I've made this argument
- 37:15in, in many of my talks, when I say that you think the people
- 37:20who advised Imam Hussein not to go to Karbala, you think they
- 37:24were smarter than Imam Al Hussein, you think they knew
- 37:26something Imam Al Hussein didn't know.
- 37:28Of course he knew. He knew this was going to end in
- 37:32the way that it did. In fact, he openly spoke about
- 37:35it, right? He said can he be al sali to cut
- 37:38the oha Aslan al followat Bain and Bain and nawawi swa karbala.
- 37:44I, I, I am. I can see my flesh being
- 37:48dismembered by the wolves of the desert at this specific
- 37:51location. Wama O lahani Allah aslafi.
- 37:56I am so eager to meet my predecessors and my ancestors.
- 37:59HTR Kayakob Elah Yousaf, the imam, knew.
- 38:03The Imam said that whoever joins me is going to get killed.
- 38:06So he knew all of that and he knew what would happen to Muslim
- 38:10women. It was a mission he was on, and
- 38:12it had to happen in exactly the same way that it did because it
- 38:16was part of God's divine plan. OK, OK, so.
- 38:21Say the Viking just asked, you know, I mean, we there there is
- 38:24also now a new I say thing being pushed a new narrative that's
- 38:28also coming in is that there's no doubt that the Imam of our
- 38:32time, my Allah Hastings reappearance was even born.
- 38:36And I we've come across certain mouthpieces that speak on behalf
- 38:41of this Ahmed Al Khatib, who's written a book and dismissing
- 38:45the hadith that say that Imam was born, such as the one would
- 38:50say the Hakima and the likes. And he claims that he uses Rajal
- 38:54and using, you know, say the Hoee and things like this to
- 38:57back his opinion that the Imam does not exist.
- 39:01How do you counter that for me when I read it as someone who
- 39:04has again, as I said in the beginning, I'm Shia Hamdallah.
- 39:06I've been said, I've been told what's right, what's wrong.
- 39:09I've done research what what to ensure what's my foundations?
- 39:13What's the core principle of not, you know, being misled to
- 39:16these things. For me, I would say the simple
- 39:18hadith of the one who dies without knowing the Imam of this
- 39:21time dies, that one that's considered ignorant.
- 39:24That's on a basic level. But how do you respond to these
- 39:26people who are really muddying the waters for the Shia layman
- 39:30out there? I I especially like how you
- 39:35ended that question. They're muddying the waters.
- 39:38They're trying to confuse the masses because if they were
- 39:42looking for the truth, they'd know that there's not a morsel
- 39:46of truth in their arguments. We know the Imam was born based
- 39:53on eyewitness testimonies of people who were invited by Imam
- 39:59al Hassan al Askari, Salaam Alayhi to meet the Imam.
- 40:04You mentioned say the hakima, for example, that's one hadith
- 40:10that is from the from inside the House of Imam al Hassan al
- 40:15Askari. And, you know, you can debate
- 40:18whether or not that's, you know, authentic, but.
- 40:22If you if you put all the pieces of the puzzle together, the the
- 40:28truth is so clear, it's clear as daylight.
- 40:31We have dozens upon dozens of people who who at various
- 40:37different points in the five years before the Imam went into
- 40:42occultation, who came and Imam al Hassan Askari Ali Salaam
- 40:46would say, this is your Imam after me.
- 40:51This is my son. Look at his facial features,
- 40:55look at you know what he looks like.
- 40:58On some occasions the Imam would give Imam, for example, would
- 41:05give one of them a ring and and then later on would send after
- 41:11him because he got a little confused because Jafar, his
- 41:14uncle claimed to be the Imam and he would say bring the ring
- 41:17back, which I gave you and he would then be taken to meet the
- 41:21Imam during the occultation. Dozens of testimonies and that's
- 41:26still not enough. I mean, honestly, anyone who
- 41:30denies the birth of the Imam, I would say to them, I don't have
- 41:36100th the evidence that I have about the birth of Imam al
- 41:41Mahdi, about you being your father's son.
- 41:45And yet for some reason I'm expected to just accept that
- 41:47your, your father's son, that you are of a legitimate birth.
- 41:50Fine. I mean, I'll give you the
- 41:51benefit of the doubt. But seriously, with all of the
- 41:55testimonies, with all of those hadith, many of which are
- 42:00absolutely authentic, even according to the strictest
- 42:05Rijali methodology, I mean, you mentioned said Hoi, for example.
- 42:09I think it's hilarious that they used said Al Hoy's methodology
- 42:12to dismiss all of these hadith and yet said Al Hoy himself
- 42:15believed in the Imam or not. But I think the issue is not
- 42:18that Said Al Hoy didn't believe the Imam existed, but that the
- 42:21methodology, the Rajali methodology used by Said Al Hoy
- 42:25cannot prove indefinitely that the Imam 100% was born.
- 42:31Not that he most likely was born, but it couldn't definitely
- 42:35be proved. And I think other things as
- 42:37well, which some of these people use is, for example, we know
- 42:40Salaam Muhammad sallallahu alaihi Salaam had a hadith about
- 42:43the 12 leaders after him. We've seen all of the Imams
- 42:46mentioned about the coming of the Imam Al Mehthi, Imam masala.
- 42:49How many times you've seen even Imam al Asqari, the father of
- 42:52the Imam. Despite all of that, the
- 42:55majority of the Shia at the time did follow Jafar al Khabab.
- 42:59And if the Imam, if people were still following Jaffna kebab,
- 43:03knowing that the Imam's going into occultation, was it truly
- 43:05known? Was it truly understood by the
- 43:08Shia? Even in an underground network
- 43:10or even in a private and an intimate environment?
- 43:13Did people actually genuinely believe it if they did follow
- 43:17someone else who was from the family of the Imams?
- 43:20OK, first of all, we know 1000% that Imam Mehdi was born based
- 43:26on those testimonies of incredibly pious and and
- 43:32truthful and good companions who had demonstrated their faith and
- 43:38devotion to Imam al Hassan al Askari al Salaam time and time
- 43:43again. And that should be more than
- 43:45enough. If I have two people saying that
- 43:47the Imam was born, that would be more than enough for me, let
- 43:49alone dozens, let alone almost 50 people who actually came and
- 43:54said we saw him, we witnessed him, we saw the boy when he was
- 44:00young and Imam al Hassan Oscar, he presented him to us.
- 44:03That's number one. Number two, the fact that some
- 44:07people follow Jafar al Qadab proves absolutely nothing.
- 44:11That's like saying, why is it if God's existence is so clear, why
- 44:17is it that we have so many atheists in the world?
- 44:19Of course there are going to be people who either out of
- 44:22ignorance or out of sheer, you know, arrogance, are going to
- 44:28reject the truth. That's number one.
- 44:30Number two, you need to remember that in the time of Imam Al
- 44:35Hassan Askari Ali Salaam himself, the Imam had to
- 44:38practice Takia. That's why the birth of Imam al
- 44:41Mehdi Sharif had to be concealed, right?
- 44:48So the, the, the concealment of his birth was part of the reason
- 44:54that the, the, the government at the time had intensified its
- 45:00efforts to try and get to the Mahdi before he escapes their
- 45:06their claws. And we have plenty of evidence
- 45:10to show that they were getting increasingly worried that the
- 45:1412th Imam was about to come. They knew Imam Hassan Askari al
- 45:17Salaam. He's the 11th Imam.
- 45:19So surely the 12th month, based on all of those prophetic hadith
- 45:23about the 12 Imams, the 12th 1 is about to come.
- 45:26So you can imagine, or maybe just just try, try and imagine
- 45:31the amount of pressure, surveillance, and sheer terror
- 45:37that the family of Imam Hassan Askari had to face at that time.
- 45:41So trying to conceal it was part of the, the, the plan to protect
- 45:47the imam #1 #2 when the birth of the Imam is concealed.
- 45:53But then he's shown afterwards to 50 people of the top caliber
- 45:59scholars. Shouldn't that be enough?
- 46:02Then you say that some people follow Jaffa.
- 46:05Sure, some people did follow Jaffa because they were either
- 46:08ignorant or arrogant. But does that mean that it
- 46:11didn't happen? Absolutely not.
- 46:12Just like the atheism example that I provided.
- 46:15And so later on, you know, you might find this interesting
- 46:18actually, that Jaffa, despite claiming to be the Imam and
- 46:22despite receiving scathing critiques from Imam al Mahdi
- 46:27himself later on, who wrote letters addressed to the Shia
- 46:32warning them about Jafar and trying to sort of create some
- 46:35balance and make the people more aware.
- 46:39Despite that he had a lot of children and a lot of lot of
- 46:43offspring, his children, his grandchildren.
- 46:46So he created a bit of a tribe for himself.
- 46:48And yet in the time of Sheikh Al Mufid, someone asks the Sheikh
- 46:53about Jafar and whether he was a person worthy of praise or us
- 46:58cursing him. Was he good?
- 47:00Was he bad? Was this like all a show?
- 47:02And so Sheikh Al Mufid responds by saying, look, let's not talk
- 47:05too much about this because even his descendants are now 12 or
- 47:09Shia. So it didn't catch.
- 47:12It didn't catch on. It didn't catch on.
- 47:15He tried again without trying to evaluate Jaffa's personality,
- 47:21but it didn't catch on. And now we see it.
- 47:24Now, you know the 12 or Shia community worldwide is comprised
- 47:28of hundreds of millions of people and they all believe in
- 47:3112 imams until some clown comes out of somewhere, you know, God
- 47:36knows where. I don't want to mention names.
- 47:38And he says that this is all a fabrication or the guy you
- 47:41mentioned in London, this is all a fabrication.
- 47:44It's a concoction. The the four emissaries made it
- 47:46up and things I. Was going to say said on that
- 47:48point on the Sephora, because you could argue that they are 4
- 47:54fallible scholars, righteous scholars, but 4 scholars at the
- 47:58time of the the habit of Sehra, which we are resting all of our
- 48:02laurels on our whole to show you everything we believe in.
- 48:07You could point back to being on the back of the Tope art between
- 48:11the Safara and the Imam Ali Saddam.
- 48:13And for example, we've seen in the in the talk art themselves,
- 48:16Imam and Mehdi will curse Ashan Ashan Mahani, for example, will
- 48:19curse different scholars. And we've seen that the
- 48:23scholarly world itself is not free or safe from criticism, if
- 48:28that at most maybe even curse from the Imam himself.
- 48:33So can we not argue that what could the could the alternative,
- 48:36the deviance, the enemies of the Aliabeta name Osama and their
- 48:38followers, Could they not argue that your whole belief system
- 48:42rests on the back of four guys and them not colluding with each
- 48:47other to come up with this, you know, concocted idea of, of an
- 48:51infallible mystical figure who's nowhere to be seen?
- 48:54Could we not say that from from a different perspective?
- 48:57First of all, our religion is not centered around the four
- 49:01emissaries of Imam Zuma. Far from our religion is based
- 49:05and grounded on the Quran and the Hadith, the son of the Holy
- 49:09Prophet and the Hadith corpus attributed to the Arabite Ali
- 49:12Musalam through a very, very solid chain including the what's
- 49:17called El Osor Alabama. And so to suggest or to think
- 49:22that it was the four so Farah or emissaries of Imam and Zaman
- 49:26that basically gave us most of our articles of belief that is
- 49:32that is just not factual. It's just not true.
- 49:37What the four emissaries did, I think was more of an
- 49:41administrative role. They, they guided the community
- 49:46through a very rough patch, very difficult time of facing a whole
- 49:54new reality where they don't have access to their Imam,
- 49:58right? And so they were indispensable
- 50:02in the sense that at least there was some indirect means of
- 50:05communication with the Imam through them #1 #2 they helped
- 50:12through those, you know, communicates with the Imam to
- 50:16try and quell some of the sources of discord and fitna.
- 50:20You mentioned Ashalmarani and others.
- 50:23And so where individuals try to take advantage of this vacuum
- 50:28that's created by our inability to access the Imam directly,
- 50:33they helped communicate messages from the Imam to try and sort
- 50:37of, you know, subdue the impact of those of those as fitna.
- 50:43And #3 they helped manage the affairs of the community.
- 50:47They helped provide guidance to try and help them sort of reach
- 50:53safe shores and become acclimated to this new reality
- 50:58where in the absence of the Imam, what do we do?
- 51:01Do we panic? Do we just run amok and not know
- 51:05what to do or do we try and stick to the basics and hold on
- 51:09to our foundations and do this for the long run because we're
- 51:13waiting for the Imam to return. So number one, that's just not
- 51:17true that the four emissaries are are conduit to our faith and
- 51:22our beliefs. And #2 you need to remember that
- 51:28even our belief in Imam and Mehdi himself is not based on
- 51:34the teachings of the four emissaries.
- 51:36As I said, there were eyewitnesses #1 #2 We have a
- 51:39hadith, and I wanted to mention this earlier when you made that
- 51:43point about the hadith of the Prophet about the 12 imams.
- 51:47One book that I highly recommend the dear viewers watch to read
- 51:52rather is a book by Grand Ayatollah Shehsafi Gulpaigani,
- 51:57The Late who was one of the most preeminent students of Sedro
- 52:05Boujardi and later became a murderer and died only a few
- 52:09years ago. He has a book which has a whole
- 52:12back story that I won't get into, but the book is called
- 52:15Muntechable Atharfi Akwal Imam Athani Asha, and the English
- 52:21version I think comes in three volumes and it's called Selected
- 52:24Narrations about the 12th Imam. When you read that book, you'll
- 52:28realize just how ignorant we are.
- 52:31We think that Rasul Allah said Al Amatumenbadi, if now I shall
- 52:36call humman Quraish. What we don't know is, is that
- 52:39Rasul Allah has dozens upon dozens of a hadith in which not
- 52:44only did he stress the fact that there is going to be 12 Imams
- 52:49after him, but he named them. He mentions them by name and he
- 52:54says that this the, the you know, this is the first Imam,
- 52:58then his son, then his son, then his son all the way to Imam al
- 53:02Askari Ali Hassam, which means that Imam al Mahdi is the son of
- 53:06Imam al Hassan al Askari, which debunks the idea that the Imam
- 53:09wasn't born and will be born at some future.
- 53:12Date can I interrupt with your permission?
- 53:14But what if I'm not mistaken that hadith I, I we've
- 53:17referenced the Ahmadi religion of peace and light, the guys
- 53:21with the beanies in the previous episode and they had a response
- 53:24to us. But I don't want to spend a
- 53:26segment on them, but just a question off the back of
- 53:28something they portray or they put forward.
- 53:31They use that hadith. I'm not sure because I haven't
- 53:33seen the origin. It's, by the way, it's not that
- 53:35hadith. Oh, is it?
- 53:36No. Use the hadith where they
- 53:37mentioned the 12 and. They say that there's, so they
- 53:39use the hadith mentioned by Sheikh Atosi and his rabe in
- 53:45which so again the Prophet named the Imams 1 by 1 and so many a
- 53:52hadith on so many different occasions.
- 53:55One of them is the hadith that Shekhar Tosi mentioned.
- 53:58So very quickly, yeah, very quickly.
- 54:00What it says is, and I recently wrote a whole article about this
- 54:05on these false Maddie's or YouTube Maddie's I call them.
- 54:08Recycling that. Sub stack it's on sub stack so
- 54:12say it mahdimudarasi.substack.com or
- 54:15something. So the hadith is like this.
- 54:19Rasool Allah on his deathbed says Sallallahu.
- 54:24He says to Amiral Mumminin that you will be the Imam after me.
- 54:29Then upon your death, pass the mantle to your son, Imam al
- 54:33Hassan. Upon his death he should pass it
- 54:36to his brother, Imam al Hussein, who upon his death should pass
- 54:40it to his son, Imam Ali, IBM Al Hussein.
- 54:42And then it goes all the way down to Imam al Hassan, Alaska.
- 54:46So far so good. Then he says.
- 54:49Rasulullah says that upon his death he shall pass the mantle
- 54:54to his son, and he mentions him by his actual name.
- 54:59Then he says upon his death he should pass it on to the next
- 55:05Mehdi. So the Imam, Imam, Imam mate
- 55:08will end with the Mahdi. After that there'll be a new
- 55:11phase of Mehdi. These are guided people.
- 55:16Now he gives it to his son, who then gives it to his son, and so
- 55:21on and so forth. So a few problems don't just pop
- 55:25up, but they explode in our face #1 where is Imam al Mahdi?
- 55:32If some clown somewhere comes out and says that I'm the second
- 55:36Mahdi or the third Mahdi or the. Reincarnation. 27th Whatever.
- 55:41Like where is your grandfather, Right?
- 55:45The Imam al Mahdi has to have died.
- 55:51For his. For the for the next person to
- 55:54then become the Mahdi, where is he?
- 55:57He went into occultation, he never came back, right?
- 56:01Do you not believe he will come back?
- 56:03I mean, this goes against literally everything we believe
- 56:06in, that the Imam went into occultation at the age of five,
- 56:10never to be seen again, except in 2025 or something.
- 56:16Some dude who's who's got an American mother and an Egyptian
- 56:19father doesn't speak a word of Arabic.
- 56:23You know, has to speak off a teleprompter, suddenly comes out
- 56:27and says I am the I am, I am the Mahdi.
- 56:30And based on this hadith, how? How does this hadith prove
- 56:34anything? That hadith mentions names, so
- 56:35it will say Ahmed. Then there's the first Abdullah,
- 56:39yeah, so on and so forth. So he'll use.
- 56:41Obviously this is. So #1 Where is the 12th Imam,
- 56:44right #2 Ahmed, who's, I mean, the only good.
- 56:53You know, there's a lot of good. Ahmed.
- 56:55I know you're one of them. But like, who's this?
- 56:58Who's this Ahmed Al Hassan guy? Like he's some honestly, he's a
- 57:01terrorist. He was a guy who decided to wage
- 57:05war against the the the Iraqi state on the day of Ashura, no
- 57:11less, right? He chooses to announce his
- 57:14uprising there, killing hundreds of people in the process.
- 57:17And then they brought some of his followers on national
- 57:20television in Iraq. And they said, you know, who's
- 57:24this guy? What did you do?
- 57:26And they started telling stories which are just outrageous.
- 57:31And you don't even need to go to those people because you might
- 57:33say it's confession under duress if you listen to his actual
- 57:37voice recordings, because surely the Mahdi was going to use
- 57:41WhatsApp to send voice messages. You listen to his voice
- 57:44recordings. The guy misreads the Quran,
- 57:49right? Let alone everything else.
- 57:50He's some illiterate. Nobody knows him.
- 57:54His own tribe disowned him. They said this guy, you know, is
- 57:57a fraud. He claims to be a Sayed.
- 58:00None of us is a Sayed. And he says that Imam Al Mahdi
- 58:04is my grandfather, which again confuses everything once again,
- 58:08because who's your father? Plus this is your father and
- 58:11he's saying this is my son. So, I mean, the whole thing is
- 58:16such a satirical, not just illogical, but just it's
- 58:20downright satirical. And so the, the the last point I
- 58:26want to mention about this topic is this guy says I'm the second
- 58:29Maddie. Why you?
- 58:32He says, because my name is Abdullah.
- 58:34Are you kidding me? Are you like the only Abdullah
- 58:37in the world? He's like, no, no, no, but I am
- 58:39the Abdullah who's claimed to be the Maddie.
- 58:42I'm the first person to claim to be the Maddie.
- 58:44Well, news flash, you're not the only fraudster named Abdullah.
- 58:49There has been many, many people before you, and in fact, there's
- 58:52an entire book by one of the scholars and university
- 58:58researchers in Iran who wrote about all these false manes.
- 59:02And look it up. You're certainly not the first
- 59:04or the last person to make this claim.
- 59:07OK, let's move on. So I think there's a couple more
- 59:10things we want to get. Through there is there is, but I
- 59:12just want to ask like a random question just on the subject of
- 59:15short having a piece of light. Would you ever be up to meet him
- 59:18and debate him life? Oh, I so there's two ways to
- 59:23look at this. On the one hand, I would love to
- 59:26meet any imposter who has the audacity to come out and not
- 59:35only try to shred the entirety of the religion of Islam, but
- 59:40but make the claim that he's, he's the Mahdi just to just to
- 59:48essentially see how what I can do to him, right?
- 59:52Because it's, it's not going to be hard, right?
- 59:55A few verses maybe asking him a couple of questions here and
- 59:59there. And, and you know, he'll, he'll
- 1:00:01be exposed for the fraudster that he is.
- 1:00:04On the other hand, you really don't want to give him, you
- 1:00:07know, more, more credit than than it's due.
- 1:00:11And I really think that he's a, he's a fringe element.
- 1:00:14He's not taken seriously. I mean, I'll give him the fact
- 1:00:18that he's social media savvy. And he's got some funding, God
- 1:00:22knows from where, which is invested heavily in social
- 1:00:27media. Sadly enough, if you write the
- 1:00:29name of the Imam on YouTube, most of the videos that show up
- 1:00:33are his and so surely he's done. Some that's the fault of us.
- 1:00:38That's definitely a problem. And I would encourage, you know,
- 1:00:40people who are into SEO optimization and, you know,
- 1:00:44things like that to try and look into this because this guy is,
- 1:00:48I'm sure he's, he's paying big bucks for this kind of thing.
- 1:00:52But but yeah, I mean, I did issue a challenge to him in an
- 1:00:56article that I wrote about him. And I said, look, you know, you,
- 1:00:59you say that you're the Maddie number one.
- 1:01:02How's it going with cleansing the world of oppression and
- 1:01:04filling it with justice and whatnot?
- 1:01:06I mean, haven't you been watching the news lately?
- 1:01:09So the guy's a fraud. That's just, it's absurd and
- 1:01:14kind of a waste of breath to even talk about him.
- 1:01:16And secondly, I issued a challenge.
- 1:01:19I said, you know, if you can deposit 6 bitcoins into my
- 1:01:25digital wallet, I would, I would look at that favourably.
- 1:01:30And, you know, I even offered to give him my, my digital wallet
- 1:01:33details, although he doesn't need it because I mean, he's,
- 1:01:37you know, he has knowledge of the unseen, so surely he can he
- 1:01:39can manage that. But he hasn't gotten back to me.
- 1:01:41I told him make it rain, but nothing's happened yet.
- 1:01:44There's zero money in my digital wallet.
- 1:01:48I like that. OK, So Mehdi, we're going to
- 1:01:51move on with your permission. Now on a similar note to talking
- 1:01:56about Imam al Mehdi, there are those who have the strong belief
- 1:02:01that the school of the Adil Beita Lehman Salaam has been
- 1:02:05misrepresented through deviation in the scholarly circle through
- 1:02:09the Hausa specifically. And that those, you know, the
- 1:02:13scholarly institution, the Hausa institution has become deviated,
- 1:02:16has been compromised by Sunni infiltration and maybe certain
- 1:02:20sciences within the Hausa's Elmar Ajal, Elmar Osul, all of
- 1:02:26the different sciences that are taught have been messed up
- 1:02:31really. And that all of the
- 1:02:32aforementioned deviations or issues that we've mentioned,
- 1:02:36such people would also agree that these are deviations.
- 1:02:40But then say that the 12 Ossouli Imami infrastructure of
- 1:02:45education in itself is flawed, that the leaders and the Maraja
- 1:02:50who run these institutions themselves are corrupt.
- 1:02:53That there are misrepresentations or
- 1:02:56misguidances. Misguidance is within the school
- 1:03:00of the all the followers. For example, Shahada Thalith
- 1:03:03being not in the Avan for some, but not in the Salah for most.
- 1:03:08Or for example that the imams of the other debate have a high
- 1:03:14level of mokam than the majority of the mainstream, except but
- 1:03:18different things like this. I'm sure you would understand
- 1:03:20far more than I would about the intricacies of these details.
- 1:03:24But how do you feel about this as someone who's of course not
- 1:03:26just a graduate of the Houser, but of someone who's very much
- 1:03:29within the Houser we circles? How does that make you feel And
- 1:03:32and how did how did those within the Houser circles feel about
- 1:03:35these things? First off, I think that it's
- 1:03:40easy to create misconceptions that are based on really what
- 1:03:47could only be described as conspiracy theories.
- 1:03:52You know, for people to say that the entire religious
- 1:03:55establishment is corrupt and that the sciences and
- 1:04:02disciplines taught in the Islamic seminaries are have been
- 1:04:07corrupted, that very much sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
- 1:04:12I don't know about you, but like the whole thing is corrupt.
- 1:04:16The system's crashing, everything's crumbling down.
- 1:04:22We can't rely on anything anymore.
- 1:04:24It's like those tinfoil hat wearing people who are always on
- 1:04:29about how the government is like infiltrating every aspect of our
- 1:04:33lives. That's a conspiracy theory to
- 1:04:36me. That's what it sounds like.
- 1:04:39I would say that a more balanced approach would be to say that
- 1:04:43just like any other institution, it's it's prone to making
- 1:04:49mistakes, it's got room for improvement.
- 1:04:53It has issues which could certainly use some, you know,
- 1:05:00genuine desire to scrutinize in order to improve and fix
- 1:05:06whatever flaws that it has. So that's as far as the
- 1:05:11institution overall is concerned.
- 1:05:12As far as the disciplines taught in the house.
- 1:05:14You mentioned almorajal, for example, right?
- 1:05:17Almorajal is something that's been part and parcel of our
- 1:05:23scholarly endeavor since the time of the imams themselves.
- 1:05:28People would go to the Arabic Ali Musalam and say, you know,
- 1:05:32if I hear something that's attributed to to you quoted by
- 1:05:36someone that I don't fully trust, can I then take it from
- 1:05:41them or not? So this was a concern that
- 1:05:44people had since the time of the imams.
- 1:05:48And so to dismiss Almirajal and say this is something we need to
- 1:05:52throw away is a mistake because you need a degree of certainty
- 1:05:57that when you're quoted A hadith that it's, you know, coming from
- 1:06:02the right sources that it's not some made-up thing.
- 1:06:07For example, I was looking at this today.
- 1:06:11There is a hadith that's often quoted by by Sufis.
- 1:06:18And so interestingly, a lot of these hadith which are used by
- 1:06:26Sufi leaning scholars and speakers today, they all come
- 1:06:30from one or two sources. And so these sources have been
- 1:06:34dismissed by our ulama as being not authentic.
- 1:06:37So we can't dismiss almorajal because it's crucial to a
- 1:06:41degree. And we cannot take almorajal as
- 1:06:45the only metric with which we verify a hadith either.
- 1:06:50So there is a fraud and there is Tafirat.
- 1:06:53There is excessive reliance on something and there is not
- 1:06:56enough reliance on, on on the discipline of Almorajal.
- 1:07:01And so there has to be balance between these two, and that's
- 1:07:03what our scholars do. So can I just add a further
- 1:07:07question just on this matter is that I, I think like this noise
- 1:07:11when it comes to this, this, this thought process is that
- 1:07:14it's mainly by youth. And I, I don't hear it from our
- 1:07:18elders. I don't see it from our scholars
- 1:07:20or speakers. I know it's mainly like youth
- 1:07:23that disappear here and there and then come on, come back and
- 1:07:25share the news to the world that, you know, this is what's
- 1:07:28happening in the House of circles.
- 1:07:29This is what's happening by the scholars.
- 1:07:31This is how corrupt the, the whole Shiite system is in Najaf
- 1:07:34and, and all, and everything. And, and they use like a hadith,
- 1:07:39like they're like experts when it comes to the law of Hadith.
- 1:07:42And to us it's like, OK, it sounds like what they're saying
- 1:07:45is, you know, gospel. It's convincing.
- 1:07:48And there's we can find the references to what they're
- 1:07:50quoting when it comes to the narrations and the reports, but
- 1:07:53how should we approach it and. Can I add to that as well,
- 1:07:56saying that with permission? But for example, when we say
- 1:07:59Imam and Methi will bring a new religion and he will go to town
- 1:08:03on the scholars and all of these things, I mean, from a logical
- 1:08:07point of view, that has to mean that the system of scholarship,
- 1:08:11the position of scholars before the arrival of the awaited Imam
- 1:08:14will be in a mess. Yeah.
- 1:08:16Or we'll need complete, you know, turning upside down and
- 1:08:20reshaking altogether the system of education, the system of
- 1:08:24scholarship, and that the Imam will absolutely go berserk on
- 1:08:27the scholars. So I think.
- 1:08:29But is that true though? Let me just challenge you on
- 1:08:32that. Where did that notion come from
- 1:08:34that the Imam will come and he will dismantle the entire system
- 1:08:39and, you know, go ballistic on on all of the scholars I know?
- 1:08:44I think it's inferences from, but with some of the classical
- 1:08:49books, no. No, no.
- 1:08:50Even in those references, the hadith that we have speak either
- 1:08:55about fukaha in generic terms, which could in fact be a
- 1:09:00reference to non Shia fukaha, or it actually specifies which
- 1:09:05group of fukaha. For example, one famous hadith
- 1:09:09that that's often quoted in this regard is 1, in which the Imam
- 1:09:13says or he's asked about the Batria, right?
- 1:09:18So the Imam says that when he reappears, he's going to combat
- 1:09:22the Batria for. 16,000. Right.
- 1:09:25Yeah. So it's got nothing to do with
- 1:09:27the mainstream for Kaha. In fact, if anything, the fact
- 1:09:32that Imam is Zaman says you should refer when it comes to
- 1:09:42new events, you should refer to those who narrate our
- 1:09:47traditions, right? Those who narrate our
- 1:09:50traditions. Meaning what?
- 1:09:51Meaning the fokaha. Anybody who knows anything about
- 1:09:54the fokaha, when you attend their classes, when you attend
- 1:09:57their dosal cottage, for example, you'll see them quoting
- 1:10:00the hadith of the Arab 8 in addition to the Quran.
- 1:10:03And so the Imam simultaneously tells us that if you go through
- 1:10:08any affliction that you don't know how to deal with, refer
- 1:10:12back to the foca ha. But then when he comes, he's
- 1:10:14going to go to town with the foca ha and slaughter everyone.
- 1:10:17It just doesn't add up. It makes absolutely no sense.
- 1:10:19So either those hadith have to be taken in their right context,
- 1:10:26or we have to assume that they're speaking not about
- 1:10:29shiafuka, at least not mainstream shiafuka.
- 1:10:32But could you not argue that the fuckahad which the Imam infers
- 1:10:36are the fuckahu who he calls us, the one who disseminate our
- 1:10:39hadith, what he considers to be fucker, not what we consider to
- 1:10:43be fucker? Because when you say say that
- 1:10:45you know the fucker hard today are the ones who know right
- 1:10:47hadith, that's us saying it in, you know, 2025.
- 1:10:49But when the Imam and his top 8 mentions the one who narrates
- 1:10:52his hadith, that's his standard of fucker which he's relating
- 1:10:55to. No, but this is, this is, this
- 1:10:57is, this is simple observation. Yeah.
- 1:11:00As I said, if you attend the classes of these fokaha, what do
- 1:11:04they discuss? What do they talk about when
- 1:11:06they give speeches, for instance, when they write books?
- 1:11:08Yeah. Do they quote the enemies of the
- 1:11:11albeit or do they quote the imams of the albeit?
- 1:11:14And so do they not fit the description of being the
- 1:11:18narrators of the hadith of the albeit?
- 1:11:20Absolutely they do. Who else narrates the hadith of
- 1:11:23the albeit other than the fokaha?
- 1:11:25And so it would be I think, disingenuous to say that these
- 1:11:30folk a hot don't fit the description and that somehow the
- 1:11:33Imam. I mean is he trying to confuse
- 1:11:35us by saying hadith? Don't you think the Imam if he
- 1:11:40was looking for something a lot more specific that he should
- 1:11:44have actually elaborated on this.
- 1:11:45He's simply saying refer to those who narrate the traditions
- 1:11:48of us, the Arab 8IN other hadith, the Imam provides
- 1:11:52examples of their morals. Examples of of their God
- 1:11:55consciousness, Mankarnam al Fokaha saw in a linuf, say multi
- 1:12:03Ali and Remola Mukhalifan Allah Hawa, one whose character is one
- 1:12:10that's been, you know, molded in a way that produces piety and
- 1:12:17taqwa and so on. In addition to the fact that
- 1:12:20they base their faith and their teachings and their
- 1:12:23jurisprudence on the words of the Arab Italian Mussano.
- 1:12:28And that's as I said, it's very clear.
- 1:12:30But if someone wants to twist that and say all the hadith says
- 1:12:34yet to be Deen and jadeed, first of all is that one hadith?
- 1:12:40Is it even authentic? Is it reliable?
- 1:12:43Is it something? And even if it is, does it make
- 1:12:46any sense that Imam and Zaman will bring a whole new religion?
- 1:12:49Methodical. We believe every single Shia
- 1:12:52believes that the 12th Imam is a successor of the Prophet, not a
- 1:12:56new prophet. And so if he's not a new
- 1:12:59prophet, how could he bring a whole new religion?
- 1:13:02That's why scholars have interpreted this.
- 1:13:05If it was verified, if it was authentic, they say that he will
- 1:13:09present God's religion to the masses such that because people
- 1:13:14have become so distant from the religion of the Arabite Alayhi
- 1:13:18Salaam, they will see it as a whole new religion.
- 1:13:21Right now, I'll just add 111 more point.
- 1:13:24Right now, is everybody the, the large, let's say bulk of the
- 1:13:30Shia world or the Muslim community worldwide, do they
- 1:13:34follow the teachings of the Arabic Ali Musalam that we find
- 1:13:38in our books Right now is our lives, are they congruent?
- 1:13:45Are they compatible with the teachings of the Arabic Ali
- 1:13:47Musalam? For the most part, no, right?
- 1:13:50We do our we do whatever we want to do and then hope someone
- 1:13:54comes along and says, oh, it's, it's OK, it's halal.
- 1:13:57Give it, give it a rubber stamp. And that's why most people
- 1:13:59gravitate towards false impostors because their job is
- 1:14:03to make everything halal for everyone.
- 1:14:05It's to appease and to please. My point is right now a lot of
- 1:14:11the Olama, if they came out and they spoke publicly and in like
- 1:14:16a brazen matter and said this is religion, this is ABC and D and
- 1:14:21so on, most people would see that to be kind of foreign
- 1:14:25because you know, they're just used to their lifestyles.
- 1:14:27They want to do their own thing. My point is, Imam and Zaman will
- 1:14:30come and again, if we accept that Hadith to be authentic, he
- 1:14:34will restore the religion and bring it back to its pristine
- 1:14:40origin in a way that the majority of people who are
- 1:14:45ignorant about the faith will say, oh, what is that?
- 1:14:48Like this is so alien. It's so foreign to us.
- 1:14:50Because one of the things said which I think people have a
- 1:14:52gripe with in that camp is the corruption which they have
- 1:14:56witnessed, for example, with Homs money, Thakleid in general
- 1:15:00having issues with the origins of Thakleid and and Homs of
- 1:15:03course, which falls under the Thakleid angle.
- 1:15:05As I mentioned, Shahada Thalitha, Islamic dates within
- 1:15:09the Islamic calendar, birthdays, anniversaries of death, so on
- 1:15:12and so forth. Other things, for example, even
- 1:15:15when it comes to moon sighting as an example, I know it all
- 1:15:18roots back to the verification, the way you understand the
- 1:15:22Mohawk and the Motta Shabir and the Hadid and what's interpreted
- 1:15:25from them, which books, Tafsira Mahmal Askari, for example, and
- 1:15:28different works and books. Some are accepted and some are
- 1:15:32rejected. But what I think said I'd
- 1:15:35inferred and which I actually agree with, is that the
- 1:15:38conspiracies become appealing to the general public because those
- 1:15:46who have knowledge of hadith, unlike the majority, I'd say, of
- 1:15:49our youth, portray things and obviously put it forward with
- 1:15:53their arguments using the Qadhan and the hadith.
- 1:15:56So then it becomes the lines very blurred, you know, and a
- 1:15:59lot of it is mainstream. We're talking about people, for
- 1:16:02example, who are Shia. So for example, they'll they'll
- 1:16:05talk, they'll praise the ziyarat, the the what, not the
- 1:16:09lives of the omali Muslim. They won't, for example, devalue
- 1:16:13them. But of course, others would say
- 1:16:14they may be amongst the Khulat. So I just think it's very
- 1:16:18interesting to understand, understand if there is any
- 1:16:21airtime given by the ulama, the Grand Maraja and so on to those
- 1:16:26who are quite literally, you know, calling them out and also
- 1:16:31maybe presenting what they would call a new religion.
- 1:16:35Because, you know, that would be something which I'd assume they
- 1:16:39would, you know, call it, right. What do you?
- 1:16:41Think can I can I just yeah, you've mentioned I mean again a
- 1:16:44lot of different points that you raised are all interesting.
- 1:16:47I have this problem. No, no, they're they're really
- 1:16:49good point. It's just that for three years
- 1:16:51just to say that he looks like he's ready to go munch right
- 1:16:54now. And we're we're going on and on
- 1:16:56about this. But, but let let me try and
- 1:17:01address as many as I can. So you you mentioned first of
- 1:17:06all, that a lot of people have witnessed corruption within the
- 1:17:09home system. What what corruption have people
- 1:17:12witnessed when it comes to the dispensation of homes Key, the
- 1:17:19operative word being witness. Is there some money that gets
- 1:17:25squandered here and there? Maybe.
- 1:17:27But to say that the entire system is corrupt is a big
- 1:17:33stretch. I mean, that's.
- 1:17:35And I'll tell you one that it shouldn't exist now anyway.
- 1:17:37Anyway, it's reserved for the time of the Imam based on the
- 1:17:40talker art. Did they not say that in itself
- 1:17:43doesn't it shouldn't exist? OK, so first of all, you're
- 1:17:48referring to this, the statement found in the letter of Imam al
- 1:17:53Mahdi to his fourth emissary, if I'm not mistaken, in which the
- 1:17:59Imam says that I have, that I've made Homs halal for you.
- 1:18:04And so some people have used this to attack the entire
- 1:18:08religious establishment, all the Olama.
- 1:18:11I mean imagine if there if this was true, that the Imam has
- 1:18:14explicitly said you don't need to pay Holmes, and yet the Olama
- 1:18:18continue to insist that Holmes is wajib.
- 1:18:21What does that make the Olama? But that is a crazy tinfoil hat
- 1:18:28conspiracy theory. Why?
- 1:18:30Because 14 centuries of scholarship, the most pious,
- 1:18:35most learned Olama one after the other, they all insist that
- 1:18:40Holmes's wajib. Suddenly some random guy in
- 1:18:43London discovers that it's not, which makes all of these Olama
- 1:18:47corrupt. What are the chances that it's
- 1:18:50this guy who's corrupt and not all of those Olama?
- 1:18:53I'd say pretty high chance. That's number one.
- 1:18:56Number two. And the example I want to give
- 1:18:59about this, this point before I move on is I once said to
- 1:19:03someone, again, some imposter, I wrote a whole treatise, an
- 1:19:09article saying that hijab is not wajim.
- 1:19:13And as ridiculous and as laughable as this argument is,
- 1:19:17because hijab is considered varura and part of the belief of
- 1:19:23every Muslim who's ever lived, right?
- 1:19:26Everyone knows hijab is wajim. So then some guy comes out and
- 1:19:30having studied I think for about 3 years learning Arabic grammar
- 1:19:35and maybe some basic logic and what not comes out and says no,
- 1:19:38her job is not what? So I said to this person, I
- 1:19:41said, look, one of the people who was influenced by him.
- 1:19:45I said, imagine you suffer from a like a, let's say, health
- 1:19:51condition, health complication and you consult 1000 doctors and
- 1:19:57each and every single one of them says that you need an
- 1:20:01operation. As soon as possible.
- 1:20:03Then you come across a guy who spent a four year stint in
- 1:20:09medical school, didn't really complete anything, dropped out,
- 1:20:14and he comes to you and says no, no, you're perfectly fine.
- 1:20:17You don't need to do an operation.
- 1:20:20What's the reasonable thing to do here to follow the 1000
- 1:20:24qualified doctors, even if you don't like them, even if you've
- 1:20:27got some like, you know, personal issues or whatnot, or
- 1:20:31follow this random dude. So he picked up on the point I
- 1:20:37was trying to make really quickly and he said, say it, I'm
- 1:20:40with you. I know this is ridiculous, but
- 1:20:42my wife, she's all over the place.
- 1:20:44And so that was that. So that's point number one.
- 1:20:48Point #2 with all of the hadith that we have and the verse in
- 1:20:55the Quran which speaks about the obligate obligation of Homs,
- 1:21:00Imam al Mahdi sends a letter, the final letter he writes to
- 1:21:04one of his emissaries, and in it he abrogates all of this.
- 1:21:08Does that make any sense? Isn't that like super confusing?
- 1:21:13It's like imagine if Imam you came and or rather wrote a
- 1:21:17letter to the to one of the emissaries and said Salat is not
- 1:21:20wajib. Would you would you take that
- 1:21:22literally? Would you dismiss all of the
- 1:21:26verses, all of the hadith, all of the Sierra of the Imams, and
- 1:21:31say based on this one line, Salat is no longer wajib, it's
- 1:21:35mubah? You wouldn't accept it now,
- 1:21:37would you? Holmes is the same.
- 1:21:39Even these people acknowledge that Holmes was wajib, but then
- 1:21:43by virtue of this one line, it's no longer wajib.
- 1:21:47It makes no sense. And so scholars, you think they
- 1:21:50haven't discussed this, You think that, you think they
- 1:21:53haven't come across this. And what they say makes absolute
- 1:21:56sense. They say that when the Imam says
- 1:21:58that we have made hommes mubach, meaning halal, meaning you don't
- 1:22:02have to worry about it. What the imam is saying is that
- 1:22:06you don't need to worry about homes when it comes to taking
- 1:22:13things from other people, meaning that you have to pay
- 1:22:16your homes. But if you get invited by your
- 1:22:18friend to go and have dinner in his house, do you need to
- 1:22:21investigate whether there was money paid on this that homes
- 1:22:24paid on this money that was used to purchase the food or not?
- 1:22:28No. In other words, you give
- 1:22:30everyone the benefit of the doubt and you don't worry about
- 1:22:34it because you've paid your own homes and we have made it
- 1:22:37Mubarak. In fact, the same statement
- 1:22:39makes sense when you read it in in context, the imam says, so
- 1:22:43that your children's birth becomes legitimate.
- 1:22:47In other words, so that this money that's been consumed by
- 1:22:52you doesn't affect your children otherwise paying homes on your
- 1:22:59own, How how is that related to your children and so on.
- 1:23:03My point is you have to and that's one of the problems we
- 1:23:06have with you mentioned the youth, may Allah bless them.
- 1:23:09I for one, think that it's great that we have a lot of youth that
- 1:23:13are showing more. I feel interestingly passionate.
- 1:23:15A lot of them are really genuinely, but they're
- 1:23:18misguided, right? And the reason they become
- 1:23:20misguided is very simple, because they go about this
- 1:23:23process without proper supervision, without guidance
- 1:23:26from actual scholars. It's like a youth trying to
- 1:23:29become a brain surgeon on his own, right?
- 1:23:34Will that work? They could have the best of
- 1:23:36intentions, but they will be misguided.
- 1:23:39At some point, there's almost no way they'll become actual, you
- 1:23:43know, physicians who can perform brain surgery on their own.
- 1:23:47They need that supervision and instruction.
- 1:23:50So I salute the youth who are trying to learn more about their
- 1:23:53faith, but they need to understand that the way you go
- 1:23:56about this, there's a process and the process is very simple.
- 1:24:01You'll learn the basics. You'll learn Arabic.
- 1:24:03Somebody actually once said to me, oh, do I have to go and
- 1:24:06learn Arabic now? I said, yeah, of course, that's
- 1:24:08how it works. You want to become, you want to
- 1:24:11become well versed in, you know, Catholic theology.
- 1:24:13You have to learn Latin. That's how it works.
- 1:24:15You want to learn about, you know, Jewish jurisprudence.
- 1:24:19You got to learn Hebrew. Suddenly Arabic, it's too hard.
- 1:24:23And so, you know, I could just wing it.
- 1:24:25I could just go and learn, you know, all the complicated
- 1:24:29disciplines by skipping some of these initial stages.
- 1:24:33Absolutely not. You need to show commitment.
- 1:24:35You need to work hard. And that means going to the
- 1:24:37house and learning from scholars.
- 1:24:38Right, right. I see.
- 1:24:40I don't know if you have time. Sure.
- 1:24:43One final question for me on my end on this whole debunking and
- 1:24:47misconceptions and things is that when it comes to the Shah
- 1:24:50that thought it there Arshad Ali and Wadi Allah.
- 1:24:54Why is there like a debate whether it should be part of
- 1:24:58Adan? It shouldn't be included in the
- 1:25:00Adan. It's supposed to happen that
- 1:25:02down. Some say it's for the Adan to be
- 1:25:04complete. People go as far as to say, you
- 1:25:06know, our son, it should be in your Tashahoot and Salah, like
- 1:25:09I've heard of these, all of these.
- 1:25:11And sorry, and is it not the rules not differ?
- 1:25:14So for example, correct me if I'm wrong saying that, but it's
- 1:25:16for example, the ruling, for example, for said Sadiq Sharazi
- 1:25:20that it's most a hab. But for example, to do it for if
- 1:25:23you're my Khalid of say the Sistani, it's Haram like.
- 1:25:26And why is there such a massive differentiation when for some of
- 1:25:30these scholars, these alternative scholars will say
- 1:25:33that no, Vikram Ali and Abada like you have to and from a
- 1:25:37logical point of view, it kind of makes sense.
- 1:25:39What do you do? How do you navigate these
- 1:25:40things? These are things which are which
- 1:25:42we hear about, right? We're passionate about as well.
- 1:25:45Imam Ali means the world to us. Look, passion is obviously
- 1:25:49something that we have to have. In fact, the Quran literally
- 1:25:54says is love with a passion is love that's translated into
- 1:26:04action next. Yeah, it's like a step up over
- 1:26:09love. So passion's great.
- 1:26:12And I think people having passion, I can see you've got a
- 1:26:14replica of the facade down there and that's wonderful.
- 1:26:18But we need to keep in mind that whether it's Durfikar or Shahda
- 1:26:22Thalatha, these are symbols that we adhere to and that we are
- 1:26:28supposed to testify to deep down in our hearts before they turn
- 1:26:36into symbols. And the the symbols can appear,
- 1:26:42but there are times when you know you you can't incorporate
- 1:26:46these into let's say the talbiya like can can you say la bake
- 1:26:51allahumma, la bake la bake Allah sharika like a bake when you're
- 1:26:54wrapping the the shroud, the Haram and include a shadow and
- 1:26:58alia Wali Allah in it. These are statements that are
- 1:27:04Tokifi, meaning that they, they are specific quotes that you
- 1:27:11must recite for the purpose of that act of worship.
- 1:27:16And so adding things to it or removing things from it.
- 1:27:21Bear with me before anybody says, oh, you know, Moccaso,
- 1:27:24this, that and the other. I'll, I'll get to, I'll get to
- 1:27:26the actual point. We need to, we need to know that
- 1:27:33these statements, including the Adan and Ikama and whatnot, they
- 1:27:39are transmitted to us by the Holy Prophet, the Imams of the
- 1:27:43Arabi Talihu Salaam, and that we must take them the way they are
- 1:27:47and not tamper with them. However, at the same time we
- 1:27:51have a hadith general, a hadith that say whenever you testify to
- 1:27:56the prophethood of the messenger, add your testimony to
- 1:28:00the Imama of Ali Ibn Abu Talib afterwards, right?
- 1:28:04It's not in the context of Adhan, it's just a general
- 1:28:07thing. Now this could be that whenever
- 1:28:10you say this, make this proclamation, also add Ali Ibn
- 1:28:15Abu Talib and his Imama Salaam Alayhi Ali in this proclamation.
- 1:28:20Maybe this excludes the Adhan and this is the view of some of
- 1:28:24the Maraja, including said Shobeli Zanjani for example,
- 1:28:29he's he's pretty adamant that this should not be included in
- 1:28:33the adhan, but especially the Ekama.
- 1:28:40Others have said no. This is a general statement,
- 1:28:42which means that applies across the board.
- 1:28:44It's a difference of opinion between the scholars and
- 1:28:47differences of opinion are natural, They're healthy,
- 1:28:50they're OK, and it's it's not something that we should dismiss
- 1:28:53because without difference differing opinions.
- 1:28:56It's not Haram Haram thing it's like.
- 1:28:58So, so sometimes, sometimes it can be.
- 1:29:00So some Alama have said that if if you say the third testimony
- 1:29:08in the Ikama, there are scholars who say that the Ikama is part
- 1:29:13of the Salah, right and that it's wajib.
- 1:29:16Now most of The Mirage are today don't say that it's wajib.
- 1:29:19But there were scholars especially previously used to
- 1:29:22believe that it's wajib and part of the Salah or at least the out
- 1:29:27would you be? So if this is part of the Salah
- 1:29:30and you include something in it that was not originally part of
- 1:29:34it, then it could become problematic.
- 1:29:38So as I said, nowadays I don't believe any of the Maraja.
- 1:29:44I say that maybe Sage Shobeidi, but I would defer the listeners,
- 1:29:50the audience to their own major, see what he has to say and do
- 1:29:54it. Because ultimately, if the
- 1:29:57Maraja don't believe the Adan and Ekama, Adan certainly isn't
- 1:30:00part of the Salah. Ekama for the most part is not
- 1:30:03considered as part of the act of prayer itself.
- 1:30:07If that is the case, then adding the testimony to the Imam of
- 1:30:12Emir Al Mahmini is not problematic because it's neither
- 1:30:16Haram nor wajib. It wouldn't.
- 1:30:17Invalidate. It wouldn't invalidate anything,
- 1:30:20right? And that's why most Maraja say
- 1:30:23that the best thing to do is to say it.
- 1:30:27In fact, I believe if I'm not mistaken, say Moss Al Hakim has
- 1:30:29a statement about this where he says that now that it's become a
- 1:30:33staple of Tashayor, a sign of Tashayor, it shouldn't be
- 1:30:37removed. Leave it in there.
- 1:30:39It's fine because we're dealing with.
- 1:30:42Yeah. Yeah, of course we're speaking
- 1:30:44about. So he says he said you should
- 1:30:47leave it. Well, the one in Tashahoe is
- 1:30:49definitely not a staple of Tashaya, right.
- 1:30:52But the one in Adan in economy, he says that now that it's a
- 1:30:54staple of Tashaya, it's a sign of being a Shia.
- 1:30:57It's fine, leave it in there, but don't say it with the
- 1:31:00intention of this being part of the original Adan in economy.
- 1:31:05In other words, when you do say it, say it as a as a the hub, as
- 1:31:09something that you included because of those other hadith
- 1:31:12that said whenever you proclaim the Prophethood of the
- 1:31:16Messenger, you should also proclaim.
- 1:31:18The Islam when you mentioned. For example, Yeah.
- 1:31:24So based on that, I don't see this to be such a big deal,
- 1:31:27honestly. Some people try to make a big
- 1:31:30deal out of it because they're trying to again, portray this
- 1:31:34image of a fractured community. Too many contradictions, too
- 1:31:39many disagreements. But you could say the same thing
- 1:31:41about the medical doctors community.
- 1:31:44There are lots of disagreements. But does that mean that the
- 1:31:47system is undermined, that it's corrupted to the core, that it
- 1:31:50need to be dismantled? Absolutely not.
- 1:31:53They see it as a healthy phenomenon, as a as a sign of
- 1:31:57the fact that this community is vibrant and alive and engaging
- 1:32:01in all of these different conversations.
- 1:32:03And each one has the freedom to adopt their own view.
- 1:32:06And you can emulate them and Inshallah will accept it from
- 1:32:09you because these people are qualified to be a source of
- 1:32:12emulation, right? So just defer to your merger and
- 1:32:16you're good to go. As for the other point, I think
- 1:32:20you mentioned something about the different dates ascribed to
- 1:32:25the small disturbances. I mean, look, when it comes to
- 1:32:28historical, let's say, events, there's no 100% foolproof
- 1:32:40definitive way of saying whether you know this event occurred On
- 1:32:45this date or not. Ultimately this is subject to
- 1:32:49historical scrutiny and you have to go with whatever evidence you
- 1:32:54have and what you perceive to be strong evidence or weak
- 1:32:56evidence. There are different opinions
- 1:32:58about it throughout history. And so, for example, the birth
- 1:33:02of Emira Mumini. When, when did that happen?
- 1:33:05Is disputed right? So the 13th of right, 13th, but.
- 1:33:08But we have a very strong hadith that says it happened in the
- 1:33:13picture. Yeah.
- 1:33:14And so scholars have looked at this and they're like, okay,
- 1:33:17first of all, don't panic, don't lose your control.
- 1:33:21No big deal, right? We could celebrate the birth of
- 1:33:24Emir Al Momenin on 2 occasions or just on one of those
- 1:33:27occasions. It's fine, right?
- 1:33:29This is not the end of the world.
- 1:33:31So that's, that I think is an important point to make,
- 1:33:33especially to some communities that take this so seriously that
- 1:33:38if God forbid, someone came out and said Dulhajja, right, swords
- 1:33:43will be swinging. And I don't think we should look
- 1:33:46at it that way. Did you know my uncle, His
- 1:33:50Eminence granddad told us he once said something which which
- 1:33:54was really moving. He said, did you know that when
- 1:33:56it comes to the Shahada of Fatima, to Sahara, we have
- 1:34:03something like 22 different narrations, different dates. 22,
- 1:34:12if I'm not mistaken, was a very, very big number.
- 1:34:16And then he said made a really interesting point.
- 1:34:21He said maybe that's because of two things #1 because just as
- 1:34:27Fatimah Zahra's grave was hidden, just as she was buried
- 1:34:31at night so that people wouldn't participate in her funeral and
- 1:34:36wouldn't recognize her burial place.
- 1:34:40Similarly, the date of her passing was also obscured,
- 1:34:46leaving her martyrdom in this, in this space, which is kind of,
- 1:34:55you know, it's, it's it's mysterious, it's being guarded.
- 1:35:00The secret is guarded until the 12th Imam comes number one,
- 1:35:03Number two, he said. Maybe the other reason is so
- 1:35:06that her martyrdom is commemorated multiple times a
- 1:35:10year, so that people don't forget this travesty of justice,
- 1:35:15this grave act of oppression against the daughter of
- 1:35:18Rasulullah and therefore Rasulullah, and therefore God
- 1:35:20himself. And that's why you have multiple
- 1:35:23traditions. You think of it like that I.
- 1:35:25Honestly, when it comes to the births of the imams, the
- 1:35:28Shahadat of the imams, I think it's good that we have multiple
- 1:35:33references about those so that we remember the imams more often
- 1:35:37because we don't remember them often enough, do we?
- 1:35:41Some of the imams, Ali, Hamas, Salah to Assalam honestly feel
- 1:35:44like they're oppressed, honestly neglected because throughout the
- 1:35:47year we're too busy talking about whether Proms money is
- 1:35:51being squandered or not, whether the ulama are corrupt or not,
- 1:35:54whether Rasulullah missed a prayer or made a mistake in one
- 1:35:58of the Salawat or not. All these peripheral,
- 1:36:02negligible, useless things without going to the source of
- 1:36:08the knowledge, without referring to the imams of the Arabic
- 1:36:11Alaima Salaam and learning from them and being guided by them
- 1:36:14and their teachings. Which which actually reminds me,
- 1:36:19I mean, you mentioned the Prophet and Sahu Nabi and how
- 1:36:22some people make a big deal out of that.
- 1:36:25And my point to them is, OK, fine, maybe you're able to
- 1:36:30somehow prove using your version of Almorajal that the Prophet
- 1:36:36might have made a mistake in one of his prayers.
- 1:36:38What have you actually achieved? What do you think you've done?
- 1:36:43You think you deserve a medal now that you proved Rasulullah
- 1:36:46made some minor mistake? That's if we're going to give
- 1:36:50them this, this point about, oh, maybe it's true, right?
- 1:36:55But what have you actually done? Have you brought anyone closer
- 1:36:59to Rasulullah and therefore to Allah?
- 1:37:02Or have you just confused people?
- 1:37:05And that reminds me of a hadith when the Imam Ali Salah to a
- 1:37:08Salaam says don't don't listen. And it kind of just connects
- 1:37:12back to your first question. Don't listen to a scholar.
- 1:37:15So it begins with negation. Doesn't say listen to scholars
- 1:37:19who do this. It says no, no no, exclude
- 1:37:21everyone. Don't listen to anyone unless
- 1:37:25they fit this description. And the Imam provides 3 metrics.
- 1:37:28One of them is this, he says, the one who can take you out of
- 1:37:33doubt and into certainty. All these discussions made by
- 1:37:37these fringe, freakish elements do the opposite, take you to
- 1:37:43doubt. They make people doubtful.
- 1:37:45That's what they're trying to do for you, Imam Al Baqar Ali
- 1:37:51Salaam says there is doubt in their hearts.
- 1:37:53Allah will only increase that doubt, which is what the Quran
- 1:37:57refers to as disease. What have you achieved?
- 1:38:01Just think about it instead of actually sitting down and
- 1:38:04speaking about the greatness of Rasul Allah, about the fact that
- 1:38:08Rasul Allah was the greatest exemplar of divine morality,
- 1:38:14About Rasul Allah being better than all of the previous
- 1:38:17prophets and being handed to us, for lack of a better term, on a
- 1:38:23silver platter. This is your prophet, the best
- 1:38:27of messengers, and this is how we deal with him.
- 1:38:30Some people accuse him of being delirious on his deathbed, and
- 1:38:34some clown comes along today and says he missed a Rakhine Salah.
- 1:38:39So what Congratulations do do. Do you want us all to cheer for
- 1:38:44you now because you've discovered some trailblazing
- 1:38:48thing that no one's ever seen before?
- 1:38:50Supposedly it's absolute rubbish.
- 1:38:53It distracts us from, from really engaging with our faith,
- 1:38:57from getting to know God's vice Gerrans.
- 1:39:01And and if I may, I don't know if you have any more questions
- 1:39:04or more time. I just want to address 1 more
- 1:39:06point, which is we talked about how Tuxedo and and Hulu being
- 1:39:10two sides of the same coin. The middle path is to accept
- 1:39:18that the Holy Prophet and the Imams of the Arab 8 we're #1 the
- 1:39:23best of the best. I don't think anyone can deny
- 1:39:27this. If, if you can deny it, if you
- 1:39:30if you try to deny it, then again, you can call yourself
- 1:39:32whatever you want you want. You're not a Shia.
- 1:39:35They were the best of the best. They were the greatest sources
- 1:39:40of emulation and role models. They also had divine knowledge.
- 1:39:44They were appointed by a loss upon OT Allah.
- 1:39:46Their obedience is wajib. You can say anything else that
- 1:39:51you like that doesn't tarnish or in any way undermine these
- 1:39:55points, right? And so be it, I don't care.
- 1:39:59Follow them, obey them, listen to them, connect with them, and
- 1:40:04surely you'll find your path to a loss upon OT Allah.
- 1:40:07But don't remove their ranks from them.
- 1:40:10One of the things we say in Zyad Abel Fadl al Abbas, which I find
- 1:40:14mesmerizing, it's not the zeal of Imam Hussein, who was an
- 1:40:18infallible, divinely appointed Imam Abel Fadl al Abbas.
- 1:40:22It says la an Allah, home and Catholic.
- 1:40:24May Allah curse the one who killed you, may Allah curse the
- 1:40:27one who prevented you from reaching the Euphrates, and may
- 1:40:31Allah curse the one who denied your virtues.
- 1:40:36Why deny their virtues? Is it jealousy?
- 1:40:38Is it envy? Honest to God, I think with some
- 1:40:41of these imposters, it's envy. It's like, why should it be them
- 1:40:45when it can be me? And so what's the point?
- 1:40:50Just if you accept them as being divinely appointed, if you
- 1:40:53accept them as being the best of the best, if you accept them as
- 1:40:55being God's representatives and, and the ones who carry that
- 1:41:00message to us, fine, Go and try and, you know, fulfill these,
- 1:41:07these beliefs that you have, Surely you'll get there.
- 1:41:10But if you try to play games here and there just to distract,
- 1:41:13just to confuse, just to push the community away from the
- 1:41:17Arabic Talia with Salaam, not less by praising their enemies,
- 1:41:23right? If you start doing stuff like
- 1:41:25that, then you should know we're going to counter all of that.
- 1:41:28We're going to respond to you, we're going to disgrace you,
- 1:41:31we're going to humiliate you and shot Allah.
- 1:41:34I think that's the overarching point.
- 1:41:36I think there's a lot more I want to ask, but maybe in a Part
- 1:41:392, Inshallah says that the overarching point, which I, I
- 1:41:43think hopefully Inshallah we've, we've addressed today and we've
- 1:41:48been able to, to recognise is there's a lot of noise and
- 1:41:51distraction around us online, in person, in books, wherever you
- 1:41:55turn. But ultimately, the search for
- 1:41:58truth is so important and you'll always be guided towards the
- 1:42:01truth. And that hadith said it was a
- 1:42:04Salaam about don't listen to who puts shack in your heart.
- 1:42:10And I think that's a very important standard for us to
- 1:42:13follow in a world which is so conflated and the moral compass
- 1:42:17is so conflated. Understand what the truth is and
- 1:42:21then Charlotte, we will see who and this is if I'm not mistaken,
- 1:42:24Hadith the middle what many and we'll see we follow those who
- 1:42:27follow the. Truth which which actually, if I
- 1:42:31may just add one more quick point on that, which is that if
- 1:42:34you're ever confused, there are a couple of things you can do. 1
- 1:42:40is to appeal to a loss of Hana with Tala, to genuinely pray to
- 1:42:46God and ask him without any presuppositions, without any
- 1:42:50prejudices, any biases, anything of that nature.
- 1:42:54Just turn to him in Salah to lay in, you know, the Whateira and I
- 1:43:01don't know, at federal time and just surrender yourself to a
- 1:43:06lost panel and say, I don't know, I'm confused, guide me,
- 1:43:10teach me. This goes a long way.
- 1:43:12And the second thing is go with the mainstream, right?
- 1:43:17The the we have a hadith where the Imams Ali Musalam say that
- 1:43:21if you're going to take knowledge from someone, make
- 1:43:25sure you take it. Take it from our followers.
- 1:43:31Don't go left, right and centre. Don't go after people who are,
- 1:43:35you know, fringe and kind of on the sidelines.
- 1:43:38Go to the mainstream, the mainstream Olama, the mainstream
- 1:43:41Fokaha of the Arabic Salam. They are a lot less likely,
- 1:43:46let's put it that way, to make a mistake right?
- 1:43:49But when you follow someone who's a fringe element, the
- 1:43:53chances of of him getting it wrong are very, very high.
- 1:43:58And just always remind yourself that it's the Quran and the
- 1:44:02other bait, The Quran and the other bait, right?
- 1:44:06The Quran and the one who comes and tells you, the one who tells
- 1:44:11you our hadith corpus has been completely compromised.
- 1:44:16These same people will refer to some hadith to further their
- 1:44:20agenda. Excuse me when they tell you
- 1:44:25that the hadith corpus has been compromised.
- 1:44:27And when they say the hadith corpus has been compromised,
- 1:44:30it's another fancy way of saying he's being delirious.
- 1:44:38The Quran is sufficient for us. No, the Quran is not sufficient.
- 1:44:40Rasulullah did say the Quran and my family.
- 1:44:43The Quran needs a barometer, a person to define it, to explain
- 1:44:48it, to remove any confusion that might exist regarding the Quran.
- 1:44:53So go back to the mainstream, follow the scholars of the
- 1:44:58Ahlubait and no one else. As Rasulullah said in this
- 1:45:02beautiful hadith, Omar comes to the Holy Prophet.
- 1:45:07He says to him, I've been going to this private tutor, this
- 1:45:12class that is unique. The tutor is a Jewish monk or
- 1:45:19rabbi or Rebbe as they call him, and he's been teaching me the
- 1:45:24Torah. Notice Rasool.
- 1:45:28Allah doesn't tell him the Torah is corrupted.
- 1:45:30That would have been the easiest thing to do, right?
- 1:45:32Torat in Gil, the Bible, it's been tampered with, it's been
- 1:45:36changed. So what are you doing, going and
- 1:45:39studying this book? He doesn't do that.
- 1:45:41He provides a more fundamental teaching that helps through
- 1:45:47these confusing sort of ideologies that we find
- 1:45:51ourselves facing today. He says to him, why are you
- 1:45:55doing that? Why not you come behind?
- 1:45:59I am giving you the pristine message in its most pure,
- 1:46:03unadulterated form, and you're going to someone who's teaching
- 1:46:07you the Torah. Then, as if this wasn't enough,
- 1:46:10the Prophet adds this point. He said wallah by God, lokana
- 1:46:15Musa havaran. If Musa was present today, Lama
- 1:46:19was Yahoo, Allah and Yahudahani. He had no choice but to come and
- 1:46:23learn from me, Musa himself, the authentic Torat.
- 1:46:29So follow the mainstream, seek assistance from Allah, Spano
- 1:46:32Taala and follow the Sakalain and nothing else.
- 1:46:41Thank you. Say it.
- 1:46:42You've given a lot of clarity to the confusion that exists out
- 1:46:45there. Me as well.
- 1:46:46Now you've answered a lot. The viewers find them
- 1:46:49beneficial. Yeah, I loved it.
- 1:46:50I forgive me for for picking your break.
- 1:46:53They do smash that like. Yes, Smash.
- 1:46:56The you know the. Drone smash it, become a
- 1:46:58partner. Smash it.
- 1:46:59Break it. I'd say just the last thing
- 1:47:02sorry for. Anyone.
- 1:47:04Who's got to this point in the video?
- 1:47:06No, no, on an off topic point, people, people as in if they've
- 1:47:11got here, they of course respect you.
- 1:47:12They listen to what you're saying.
- 1:47:14Can you encourage people to support us?
- 1:47:16And I mean this because we are. How can they support you?
- 1:47:18Can you explain that? Any financial contribution goes
- 1:47:22a long way, OK. That allows donations.
- 1:47:25Donations that allows us to sustain our space.
- 1:47:27You do like memberships and. Stuff, memberships, merchandise,
- 1:47:30OK business sponsorships, things like that.
- 1:47:34So you got swag. I can.
- 1:47:36I can kind of wear and. I'm not wearing any, but yeah
- 1:47:39to. Promote the brand.
- 1:47:40I mean, on the member of the aftermarket video, they're
- 1:47:42pretty cool, but I don't think that's befitting of the member.
- 1:47:45But no, this is not one of them. But yeah, and that's that.
- 1:47:49And of course, I think more so just to share our message
- 1:47:51because we want to reach as many people as possible.
- 1:47:53Look, it's not because you're my friends, but it's more so, I
- 1:47:59think, and I've known you for a very long time, Hamdulillah.
- 1:48:05But it's because I've seen the impact and I've seen how people
- 1:48:09all over the world talk about the Aftermath podcast and the
- 1:48:13impact it's made on their lives and the benefits that it's, it's
- 1:48:17brought to them. So I absolutely support the work
- 1:48:23that you do and I think everyone else should do so as well.
- 1:48:27Yes, there are costs involved in making all of this happen.
- 1:48:31It's, it's, it's no surprise that a lot of podcasts, I think
- 1:48:36they read somewhere that they stop after like 3 episodes or
- 1:48:40something. I mean, I tried it once and it
- 1:48:42stopped after 2 episodes. So part of the reason is that
- 1:48:46it's a huge commitment. It takes a lot of time and
- 1:48:49effort, not just by yourselves, the presenters, but say Mustaba
- 1:48:54Mayallah bless him and the team that puts it all together.
- 1:48:58So it's a, it's a, something that takes effort and time and
- 1:49:02energy and also costs money. So anyone who can support even
- 1:49:07if it's a small amount, I would definitely recommend that they
- 1:49:09do so and inshallah it's going to a really good cause.
- 1:49:13And thank you for the proof is on the wall.
- 1:49:16It says yah Hussain. Yeah, thank you for saying and I
- 1:49:21hope Inshallah everyone at home has benefited as much as we
- 1:49:24have. In Inshallah, we pray to Allah
- 1:49:26Spontala to always grant, say methi, mortal feel and
- 1:49:29opportunities to serve, to continue to serve in the way
- 1:49:31that Quran and the other beta name Salam this year and every
- 1:49:34inshallah until his last breath that yeah, I mean.
- 1:49:39So. And Brans sister will be back as
- 1:49:42always next week with another episode on aftermarket.
- 1:49:44And make sure you comment down below any comments, anythings,
- 1:49:48any questions you have. And inshallah I'm sure other
- 1:49:51viewers can try and help you. It's fun.
- 1:49:53If not, I'm not taking that responsibility to you guys.
- 1:49:56But yeah, Sharla, we'll see you next week.
- 1:49:58Take care of Salaam Alaikum on Hamilton Life.
