- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31Today I want to tell you something about the fact that we
- 0:34have got to stop the pattern of waiting until we have it all
- 0:39nailed down to begin the process of building.
- 0:43So I am the biggest committer. That's why I'm using the words
- 0:47we right, like I am the biggest committer of struggling with all
- 0:52the characters on my bus. Fact, I'd like to put some of
- 0:55them in a straitjacket back there right now because I'm in
- 0:58the process of planning the farm for the year.
- 1:02Like ordering seeds, ordering chicks, getting everything that
- 1:05I need, deciding am I growing some stuff and starting it
- 1:08inside? Am I putting stuff outside?
- 1:10Am I going to get some things that are already started from
- 1:12the organic herb farm? Like what am I going to, what am
- 1:16I doing? And one of my most just
- 1:20consistent struggles that I have with myself is to constantly
- 1:26argue about, well, I don't have it in my head clear yet, so
- 1:30therefore I have to keep contemplating it because my
- 1:32certainty girl freaks out and she says, well unless we have it
- 1:35completely laid out in our head then we can't go forward.
- 1:39And she and I are in a constant battle about things like this.
- 1:43I had somebody come out to help me.
- 1:45One of my biggest struggles out here is always irrigation
- 1:48watering things. So I said OK, I've got to I've
- 1:51got to handle it this year because last year it was just so
- 1:53time consuming hours and hours of just watering thing.
- 1:56It's just too consuming. So I've got to get somebody to
- 1:58come out and do irrigation. So first thing that comes up in
- 2:02my head her, well, do you, you don't know exactly what you're
- 2:05going to do with the garden, so you can't talk to the irrigation
- 2:07mania. And I start a spiral of stopping
- 2:11myself of moving forward because I'm trying to figure out and
- 2:16have it all nailed before I actually have the conversation.
- 2:19I was like, no, we're not doing that.
- 2:20Thank you for sharing. I thanked her for her certainty
- 2:23driven comments in my head and I said no, we're not doing that.
- 2:27Maybe he has ideas that he can bring to the table that will
- 2:30help me. So sure enough, call him.
- 2:34He comes out such a great conversation and he completely
- 2:38changed the trajectory of what I was going to do because of his
- 2:41idea of how we could do the watering.
- 2:43It was profoundly different than what I thought.
- 2:46And I was, I was shocked. I said OK, so now this changes
- 2:51things because now I can go back to saying, oh, I can separate
- 2:56out the herbs into these containers and the containers
- 2:58can still get watered if he's doing the irrigation this way.
- 3:01And before you know it, I have a solid vision.
- 3:05And it didn't come from me, It came from somebody else because
- 3:09he's an expert in his area. So do you see how this can get
- 3:13so stuck in our heads? Just by us staying in our own
- 3:18little vortex on our own little bus, listening to our own little
- 3:22emotions and our own little anxieties and all these little
- 3:25things showing up, Our thoughts and emotions are driving us
- 3:28crazy and not allowing us to take in thoughts from other
- 3:31people which we know. We actually want somebody to
- 3:35listen to us. If we're on a team, we would
- 3:37want someone to listen to us. We'd say, well, please take in
- 3:40my thoughts because I have something I can contribute to.
- 3:43I watched this man as he was here and I was talking to him
- 3:47and I got so excited about what he was saying.
- 3:49I watched him get excited about it because he felt like I was
- 3:53valuing him, which I was very much.
- 3:56And all of a sudden everything started to click and he was
- 3:58happy and I was happy. And I realized I'm contributing
- 4:01as much to him as he's contributing to me because he
- 4:05was so like, oh, wow, well, I could do this and I could help
- 4:07his. And he figured out a way to help
- 4:09me get water over to the chicken so I don't have to schlep hoses
- 4:12everywhere. I mean, it was just, it was the
- 4:14greatest connection. And it happened so organically
- 4:20because I actually stopped saying to myself, well, I have
- 4:24to have this whole puzzle laid out in my head before I actually
- 4:28talk to somebody. And it put me right back.
- 4:31It kicked me good, hard right in my ass.
- 4:34So that I would say, OK, there you go again another time that
- 4:38the universe is providing you with evidence that whenever you
- 4:40do that it doesn't work, you have to take in other
- 4:44information. You are not, do not have all the
- 4:48answers. I am not the Oracle when it
- 4:49comes to all things on the farm. I am very much a learner and I
- 4:53always tell myself if my identity is that of a learner,
- 4:57then a learner actually has to learn.
- 5:00But you can't stay frozen in the process and say I'm going to not
- 5:05move. I'm going to sit here like a
- 5:06donkey until I have all the answers.
- 5:10So hopefully this will help you. Don't stay stuck my friends.
- 5:14You don't need to focus on that. You have it nailed.
- 5:19Just know what you need. Start the process.
- 5:22Even if it's teeny weeny steps. Do it.
- 5:25I promise you'll be much happier.
- 5:27All right, my friends. I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:29I hope you have a blessed day. Bye.
