Dan starts with an alleged anonymous modern encounter involving a man hearing a girl’s voice as a child - a voice asking him to wake up, and a voice that keeps asking this for many, many years - well into adulthood. And then finally, something very strange happens that leaves him feeling certain that this voice did not just belong. Then, a tale that is about the mysterious and troubling disappearance of a young man who disappeared in the Idaho wilderness, not far from where Dan grew up, back in 2018.
