- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, it is a Lala mother. Ethan Kent't We're
- 0:11Speaker 1: back baby. I got Audrina Patridge on the podcast today.
- 0:15Speaker 1: You guys gave me all the feedback in the world
- 0:18Speaker 1: last episode, because Justin and I were like, what do
- 0:20Speaker 1: I want to see it on the podcast? Like what
- 0:23Speaker 1: do you want to listen to? And my little give
- 0:26Speaker 1: them give them Lala squad. They came through. They did.
- 0:30Speaker 2: You guys did come through.
- 0:31Speaker 3: We got so much feedback and I'm so excited to
- 0:34Speaker 3: sit down with Lalla and go through it all and
- 0:36Speaker 3: maybe we'll do it on the podcast even I don't know.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I would love to, like after this episode, next week's episode,
- 0:46Speaker 1: let's go through like all all of them. Yeah, like
- 0:50Speaker 1: let's talk about it. Yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 3: So you guys even have another let's say five days
- 0:56Speaker 3: to be safe. If you didn't give feedback, you might
- 1:00Speaker 3: as well, because we're going to go through as much
- 1:02Speaker 3: of it as we can right on next Yeah. And
- 1:05Speaker 3: so what I've been seeing the most is DM just
- 1:08Speaker 3: DM give them La La podcast, and that's how we're.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Going to go through it. Well. The whole point of
- 1:14Speaker 1: like the rebrand of the podcast was like I want
- 1:18Speaker 1: my listeners to be heard like it's a platform where
- 1:24Speaker 1: you know, let's be open and honest and like create
- 1:26Speaker 1: this little community of you know, people who are going
- 1:29Speaker 1: through the ups and downs of life. And I think that,
- 1:34Speaker 1: you know, my my guests also have to reflect that.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Does that make sense? Yeah, of course, of course, you
- 1:42Speaker 1: know we we I originally came into this podcast from
- 1:45Speaker 1: the jump of like, what's the format. There is no format, right,
- 1:49Speaker 1: it's going to be bumping gums and like have great
- 1:52Speaker 1: guests on. But you know, I want I want to
- 1:54Speaker 1: know what my listeners digm. You know, it's the whole reason,
- 1:59Speaker 1: Like I said in the episode with my brother, without
- 2:01Speaker 1: my listeners, without my friends, my people, I'm just freaking
- 2:06Speaker 1: talking to myself in a microphone, wasting a whole lot
- 2:09Speaker 1: of time. Like it's got to be productive. I like
- 2:13Speaker 1: things that are not productive in my life they gotta go. Yeah,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm listening to Chris Medina in the sense where he's like,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you gotta burn bridges in your life. Yeah, whatever that means.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And now if it's like it's not productive, it's not
- 2:26Speaker 1: serving me. You're bringing out aside of me that I
- 2:29Speaker 1: don't like. Granted, my mom always says, like you're in
- 2:31Speaker 1: charge of your own emotions. People can't make you feel
- 2:34Speaker 1: a certain way, but you can allow them to make
- 2:36Speaker 1: you feel a certain way. It's like, you know what, No,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you're making me feel this way and I don't need
- 2:42Speaker 1: it right, So give me the gasoline and a match,
- 2:47Speaker 1: because I'm torching the bridge right.
- 2:49Speaker 3: People always tell told me you are who you hang around,
- 2:54Speaker 3: and I agree with that fifty percent, and I disagree.
- 2:57Speaker 3: But I did notice when I would hang around on
- 3:00Speaker 3: friends who were always complaining, always talking shit, always bitching,
- 3:05Speaker 3: I felt myself starting to do that and get in
- 3:07Speaker 3: a very very negative space. And then my friends who
- 3:10Speaker 3: were like positive and whatever, on the up and up
- 3:13Speaker 3: and always like going after what they wanted and their goals,
- 3:16Speaker 3: I felt myself being more that way. So I don't
- 3:18Speaker 3: know if I agree with it necessarily because my childhood
- 3:21Speaker 3: best friend she's like my ride or die and we're
- 3:24Speaker 3: completely different. But still I'm like, we're different, but I'm like,
- 3:28Speaker 3: so I don't agree with.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It in that sense.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm not like her, she's not like me, but we're
- 3:32Speaker 3: still best friend totally. Yeah, But I do think in
- 3:35Speaker 3: some certain circumstances it happens, like do you hang out
- 3:41Speaker 3: with people that bring you down and or are negative,
- 3:44Speaker 3: and then you feel like you get negative or no,
- 3:47Speaker 3: You're like I can be around that person and I'm myself.
- 3:50Speaker 1: No. There are definitely people I've been around where I
- 3:52Speaker 1: leave and I go home and I'm like, I feel
- 3:54Speaker 1: so heavy, Where's my giant bundle of sage? Right? Yeah?
- 4:00Speaker 1: But as I've gotten older, I have pulled away from
- 4:03Speaker 1: people who make me feel that way. But like yesterday,
- 4:08Speaker 1: yesterday was a throwaway day for me, Okay, tell tell
- 4:12Speaker 1: me about thatll. I just like I woke up and
- 4:16Speaker 1: you know, my mom was in Newport and I had
- 4:20Speaker 1: to film later, so I had like a full day
- 4:23Speaker 1: and you know, you had things that I needed to
- 4:25Speaker 1: get done, and I was like, today, it's just it
- 4:28Speaker 1: ain't hidden.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I literally hot boxed my bathroom with sage, right, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but I opened the door and looked back into the
- 4:38Speaker 1: bathroom and it was just smoke. Because I have this
- 4:42Speaker 1: huge someone I think it was like, uh, someone sent me. Oh,
- 4:47Speaker 1: I know exactly what it was. At the book signing,
- 4:50Speaker 1: someone gave me tober, someone gave me a huge bundle
- 4:53Speaker 1: of stage. I mean, I can't even imagine what it
- 4:55Speaker 1: cost them. It was so sweet, but I burned that. Okay,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I manifested, I prayed, I you know, did my whole
- 5:04Speaker 1: thing with God in the universe that I so often
- 5:06Speaker 1: do when I'm feeling like, Okay, we're going down the
- 5:09Speaker 1: fucking rabbit soul. We rather to pull ourselves together. And
- 5:13Speaker 1: after I did that whole thing, you know, I lit
- 5:15Speaker 1: my stage and I'm like, you know, saying my little prayer,
- 5:18Speaker 1: manifesting whatever. And then I listened to Break my Soul
- 5:23Speaker 1: by Beyonce on repeat and was just like holding my stage. Yes, motherfucker,
- 5:29Speaker 1: No one is breaking me. Yes, hell no. Because I
- 5:35Speaker 1: so often preach like, if our minds are strong enough
- 5:40Speaker 1: to take us to a dark place, they're certainly strong
- 5:43Speaker 1: enough to get us out of that place. Now, however,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I am by no means saying that people shouldn't be
- 5:50Speaker 1: on medication if they're suffering from depression or anxiety, Like
- 5:54Speaker 1: science is incredible and you should go to a doctor.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And I believe in therapists and all of these things.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So I'm certainly not saying like I have to do
- 6:02Speaker 1: is talk yourself out of it.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:03Speaker 1: That is not, let me repeat, that is not what
- 6:07Speaker 1: I am saying, Right, but in those moments where you're
- 6:11Speaker 1: going there, I think we should empower ourselves to say
- 6:17Speaker 1: we're not going here. I won't allow it. So I'm
- 6:20Speaker 1: taking a moment to myself and I'm gonna do what
- 6:23Speaker 1: I need to do to connect with something or someone
- 6:26Speaker 1: greater than me. And I'm gonna put on Beyonce and
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm fucking taking on the rest of the day. Right.
- 6:32Speaker 3: I don't know what you meant by throwaway day, but
- 6:35Speaker 3: I think those days.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Are very important.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Like that's why I can on a Sunday tell Kyle, like, literally,
- 6:42Speaker 3: I'm waking up and I'm bingch watching TV until five PM.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'll take a break and take Margo on a few walks.
- 6:47Speaker 1: But like, to me, that is just my.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Version of mental health sometimes, and like those days are
- 6:54Speaker 3: just as important as the days I wake up at
- 6:56Speaker 3: like four thirty am and I'm like, I'm gonna go
- 6:58Speaker 3: to the gym and then I'm gonna get right and
- 7:00Speaker 3: then I'm gonna go to work and then.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I like those are just as important. So yeah, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: think that in the world, like in our society in America,
- 7:09Speaker 1: where we're like it's so instilled in us that hustle
- 7:12Speaker 1: harder wake up, work until the sun goes down, and
- 7:16Speaker 1: then all you can sleep when you're dead. Make that money,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and it becomes like you go to other places and
- 7:23Speaker 1: they have like two hour lunch breaks and then it's
- 7:26Speaker 1: time for nap, like they really just enjoy life. And
- 7:29Speaker 1: take take that as like I'm not productive in what
- 7:34Speaker 1: I need to get done if I'm not feeling centered
- 7:37Speaker 1: and well rested, Like America is a different type of grind.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And it's like I can have a day that's a
- 7:44Speaker 1: Saturday and feel no guilt, you know, just kicking it.
- 7:49Speaker 1: But if you're taking me on a freaking you know, Tuesday,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, it's a throwayday, then then I struggle
- 7:56Speaker 1: with the guilt of like you should be hustling. I
- 7:59Speaker 1: should be making money. You should you know. And it's
- 8:01Speaker 1: just because that's the world.
- 8:04Speaker 3: That we have been brought up in, I know, and
- 8:07Speaker 3: it's all over social media if you're and I don't
- 8:10Speaker 3: think there's anything. I think there's few things that are
- 8:12Speaker 3: more damaging than the quote unquote no days off mindset.
- 8:17Speaker 3: And if that means like of work, working out, literally anything,
- 8:21Speaker 3: I think that's could be one of the most damaging
- 8:25Speaker 3: things mindsets when like no rest, no days off. I
- 8:29Speaker 3: think that's very damaging. First so too, so I'm glad
- 8:33Speaker 3: you took.
- 8:34Speaker 1: But even on social media, yeah, people are you know
- 8:38Speaker 1: posting it's like, oh today you're resting today by the pool. Well,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm resting harder in the Amalfi Coast on a yacht
- 8:45Speaker 1: and right what now the fuck? I can't even rest
- 8:49Speaker 1: without feeling, you know, you're really like someone's resting harder
- 8:53Speaker 1: than me.
- 8:54Speaker 3: It's literally the summer of everyone in Europe, and I'm like,
- 8:57Speaker 3: what do you do for a living, because I'm like
- 9:00Speaker 3: from college.
- 9:01Speaker 1: How are you spending your summers in Italy? What's going on?
- 9:04Speaker 1: You know? I was talking to Katie the other day
- 9:06Speaker 1: and you know, because season four it was like I'm
- 9:09Speaker 1: going to Italy on a modeling trip. Yeah, and I'm
- 9:12Speaker 1: five six, you know, you know, and I had like
- 9:17Speaker 1: it seemed like I was one of those girls who
- 9:19Speaker 1: was always on like amazing vacations. But truth be told,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I have never been on like a really extravagant vacation
- 9:26Speaker 1: that I didn't pay for. Like with my ex. Of course,
- 9:30Speaker 1: we we went on really beautiful trips, but it wasn't
- 9:33Speaker 1: like the Instagram like quote unquote models that you see now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: like the influencers. Yes, And I was talking to Katie
- 9:39Speaker 1: and I was like, you know, I said that I was.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I was just a fun bitch to be around, and
- 9:44Speaker 1: that's why they were inviting me. But I'm sure if
- 9:47Speaker 1: I would have gone, maybe they would have expected me
- 9:49Speaker 1: to bust it wide open or like, I don't know,
- 9:53Speaker 1: you know, I was. I still am. I'm like very
- 9:57Speaker 1: I mean, I'm aware, but like I'm naive when comes
- 10:00Speaker 1: to like what people expect from me, right, or like
- 10:04Speaker 1: I don't know when people are on drugs. I mean
- 10:06Speaker 1: I do now, yes, but like I just didn't surround
- 10:11Speaker 1: myself with people like that. Yeah, So when someone was like,
- 10:14Speaker 1: want to go to Italy, I was just like fun.
- 10:18Speaker 3: We had a friend once who would always tell us
- 10:20Speaker 3: whenever we got in those situations. She would go, no,
- 10:24Speaker 3: this is a college friend. No grown man wants to
- 10:27Speaker 3: be your friend, Like, because we had I had friends
- 10:29Speaker 3: who would be like, but he's just so nice and
- 10:31Speaker 3: he wants to take me to wherever. And she would
- 10:33Speaker 3: always be like, no grown man wants to be your friend.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Just remind yourself of that.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And I'm like, that's a good point. I mean yes,
- 10:40Speaker 1: I mean that might not be true, but it's a
- 10:44Speaker 1: few and far between that you're going to find the
- 10:46Speaker 1: older rich man who's like, you know what, I enjoy
- 10:49Speaker 1: your company, Yeah, come and hang out. Yeah you're like, no, no, no,
- 10:52Speaker 1: And if you find that person, good on yet, you know,
- 10:56Speaker 1: good for you? Right? Yeah?
- 10:58Speaker 3: Did you ever go to that Italy trip that you're
- 11:00Speaker 3: talking about on season four?
- 11:01Speaker 2: When?
- 11:02Speaker 1: No, you didn't, No, because I was slutshamed. It was
- 11:06Speaker 1: felt so bad that I was like, I'm going home
- 11:07Speaker 1: to Utah instead.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I mean, my mom, No, So you didn't after all
- 11:13Speaker 3: of that, you didn't even go after all that skank shaman.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Oh no, I went back to the beehiveste Damn damn no.
- 11:23Speaker 1: But yeah, that was wait the row back memory. I
- 11:27Speaker 1: know that was a little, a little tangent, but spoiler alert,
- 11:31Speaker 1: some people love those.
- 11:32Speaker 3: A lot of people love those. When you go on tangents,
- 11:35Speaker 3: spoiler alert for next week.
- 11:38Speaker 1: They want more Lalla. We well the podcast is give
- 11:42Speaker 1: them Lala.
- 11:43Speaker 3: I know, you know, yes, they want all Lalla that
- 11:47Speaker 3: people love Lalla and again haven't been through them. All
- 11:50Speaker 3: excited to go through them, all the messages, but yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 3: it's very much people. I think what I've seen being like,
- 11:57Speaker 3: we love it when you talk about ocean and all
- 12:00Speaker 3: all this stuff.
- 12:00Speaker 1: But can I tell you, Jess, it's still even though
- 12:03Speaker 1: I've been doing what I've been doing for a while,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's still perplexing to me that people give a shit
- 12:12Speaker 1: about me. Like I constantly am like why, And you know,
- 12:14Speaker 1: on tour or with the podcast, I was, I'm always
- 12:17Speaker 1: obsessing over who's my guest? Who's my guest? Yes? And
- 12:21Speaker 1: I forget like my people are coming to support me,
- 12:26Speaker 1: like they don't care about I know the guest is,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I tends maybe they do. I don't know. I'm sure,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I'm sure the guest is like the cherry on top,
- 12:33Speaker 1: But I do still feel like this, like bitch from Utah,
- 12:37Speaker 1: like why do people give a damn about me?
- 12:40Speaker 3: I hear you, But you were exactly right when you
- 12:42Speaker 3: said the guest is the cherry on top. I think
- 12:44Speaker 3: a majority of the time, but like you have to
- 12:46Speaker 3: remember you're the ice.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Cream and the whip cream. Oh, I love it all
- 12:49Speaker 1: of the guests. Is that the right word metaphor? I
- 12:53Speaker 1: don't know. I should know well because in an interview
- 12:56Speaker 1: I kept using the word analogy and I think it
- 12:59Speaker 1: wasn't analogy, it was a metaphor. What were you saying
- 13:02Speaker 1: analogy about? I was talking about my life as a puzzle,
- 13:06Speaker 1: and then I considered myself butter and my beef with
- 13:11Speaker 1: Schwartz with a microwave. I don't fucking know what. It
- 13:14Speaker 1: made zero sense, but I just rolled with it. And
- 13:19Speaker 1: I was like, I kept saying strange analogy, and then
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't think that that's the right word.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I'm literally I think a metaphor is when you take
- 13:28Speaker 1: something that's happening, yeah, and use like a puzzle. Yes, metaphor,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I think that's it. To an analogy, I think is
- 13:36Speaker 1: me taking something I'm going through and then being like, Jess,
- 13:39Speaker 1: it would be like you doing this. I think so too.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:43Speaker 1: So I completely used the word. Well now you're using it.
- 13:46Speaker 1: They ran us weekly and I read it and I
- 13:48Speaker 1: was like, I have to stop reading. I sound like
- 13:51Speaker 1: such an idiot. It's confusing.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I didn't go to college, and I did, and I
- 13:57Speaker 3: still don't know.
- 13:58Speaker 1: So there were so many times in school where like
- 14:01Speaker 1: I knew I was a bad tester. Yeah, and so
- 14:03Speaker 1: I'd roll up on my teacher and I'd be like,
- 14:04Speaker 1: here's the deal. I was a fucking hustler since day one.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm like, can I instead write an eight page paper
- 14:12Speaker 1: on why I'm bad at test taking? Would they let you? Yes?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Stop?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yes, there were a couple teachers that did let me. Yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: are you kidding me? I also wrote a paper on
- 14:22Speaker 1: why it was so hard for me to understand how
- 14:25Speaker 1: to learn a ruler. You cannot grasp the ruler. See
- 14:35Speaker 1: right now, I'm like, it's got to be either.
- 14:38Speaker 3: To the inch or a half, like no, you know
- 14:42Speaker 3: that makes sense, like the and three eighths like having
- 14:45Speaker 3: to be so.
- 14:46Speaker 1: So then can you tell time on a is it
- 14:48Speaker 1: called an analog clock?
- 14:49Speaker 2: Can you tell?
- 14:50Speaker 1: You can? I can totally. Sometimes it's in between the
- 14:54Speaker 1: time thing. Yeah, but that's easy because it's the fives
- 14:56Speaker 1: and then in between they say the ones.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Do you know how many I saw TikTok about them
- 15:02Speaker 3: going up to gen Z people or even like people
- 15:04Speaker 3: in their twenties and saying showing them a clock, like
- 15:07Speaker 3: ninety percent were like I have no idea what that means.
- 15:11Speaker 1: And cursive is a lost art. Okay, anyway, I'm so
- 15:14Speaker 1: good at cursive. By the way, you because we had
- 15:16Speaker 1: to we had to. I also had to learn what
- 15:19Speaker 1: was the penmanship called calligraphy, calligraphy. I had to learn
- 15:24Speaker 1: how to do calligraphy in school. They were like, okay, my,
- 15:28Speaker 1: have your moms take you to fred Meyer. That was
- 15:31Speaker 1: like the local little grocery store that had, you know,
- 15:35Speaker 1: this arts and crafts. Obviously we're from Utah, always in
- 15:39Speaker 1: arts and craft section no matter where you go. And
- 15:42Speaker 1: we had to get like calligraphy pens.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Do you know people pay like good money for those classes. Now,
- 15:47Speaker 3: like I was gonna pay for I didn't learn calligraphy.
- 15:49Speaker 1: What if you rolled up day one of your interview
- 15:51Speaker 1: and I'd be like, you have to write everything in calligraphy,
- 15:55Speaker 1: No phones, no Google calendar, caligraphy only.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I would think that it was so funny, And Hilaria said,
- 16:01Speaker 3: I would take that so seriously.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'd be like, yes, you also have to wear my
- 16:05Speaker 1: face on all your clothing. You have a uniform. You
- 16:08Speaker 1: would have thought I was insane. I would have laughed,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I'm wearing my face enough for the both of us exactly.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Don't even worry about it. All right, So there's our tangent.
- 16:17Speaker 1: There's the intro. I'm excited to have Audrena on, So
- 16:21Speaker 1: stick with me, my little sexy muffins, because when we
- 16:24Speaker 1: come back, we have like an og of reality TV.
- 16:28Speaker 1: You're welcome, We'll be right back. We are back, and
- 16:32Speaker 1: I am so excited about this guest. You guys know
- 16:36Speaker 1: her obviously. Her name is Audrina Patridge. Hello, my love.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Hello, I'm so happy to be on your podcast.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I'm so happy to have you on my podcast. You're
- 16:46Speaker 1: like the og of reality television.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I feel like before I even started
- 16:52Speaker 2: reality I didn't really know what to compare it to,
- 16:55Speaker 2: aside from like the Jessica Simpson and Nicholaschey Show, But that, right,
- 17:00Speaker 2: I think that was it at the time.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah, the I mean the reality TV world. You know,
- 17:05Speaker 1: I just remember like growing up and having the real.
- 17:09Speaker 2: World, real world, that's right.
- 17:12Speaker 1: But your show was like where you don't all live
- 17:15Speaker 1: in one house together, and it was just, I'm sure
- 17:18Speaker 1: very strange for you to have cameras on you following
- 17:21Speaker 1: your every move at the age of what you were nineteen.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Almost nineteen when I started.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Like barely nineteen, and we filmed a full year before
- 17:36Speaker 2: the producers kind of decided. I guess like how we
- 17:40Speaker 2: all fit in with each other and what they wanted
- 17:42Speaker 2: to show because we were all kind of getting used
- 17:44Speaker 2: to the cameras. I know, Lauren and Heidi had experience,
- 17:47Speaker 2: but Whitney and I did not, So we were trying
- 17:50Speaker 2: to figure out how we all fit.
- 17:53Speaker 1: In right, how to like what your place is, what
- 17:55Speaker 1: your role is. It's so funny because I was having
- 17:58Speaker 1: a conversation with some one. Oh it was Jeff Lewis yesterday.
- 18:02Speaker 1: He was on a reality TV show. There's so many
- 18:05Speaker 1: people who have such strong personalities and the second you
- 18:09Speaker 1: throw them into like a reality TV space, they freeze up.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Did you find that happen to you?
- 18:17Speaker 2: I think I did in the beginning, because I was
- 18:21Speaker 2: going on auditions for modeling and doing little acting things
- 18:24Speaker 2: and got gigs here and there for music videos and
- 18:28Speaker 2: commercials and stuff. But the whole reality side of it,
- 18:32Speaker 2: like there's three cameras around you, you have all these
- 18:34Speaker 2: people staring at you while you're trying to go on
- 18:37Speaker 2: a date, and you're like, going on a date for
- 18:39Speaker 2: the first time is bad enough, and then you add
- 18:41Speaker 2: all all these other layers. It was tough. You freeze up.
- 18:46Speaker 1: That part scares me because I have yet to like
- 18:49Speaker 1: do a date on camera, like a new date, you know,
- 18:53Speaker 1: because cameras always want to capture the first date because
- 18:57Speaker 1: it's awkward, and then you add the cameras.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It's it is, it's really awkward. But I feel like
- 19:02Speaker 2: we at this point, you know, were kind of seasoned, right,
- 19:06Speaker 2: and I feel like all these new guys I remember,
- 19:09Speaker 2: they would totally freeze up, and it's like you can't
- 19:12Speaker 2: really get to know someone with all these cameras. But
- 19:15Speaker 2: then you get the the alcohol flowing, and sometimes that
- 19:18Speaker 2: loosens them up or takes the edge off. But really
- 19:22Speaker 2: it's just it's it's a whole different world. People have
- 19:25Speaker 2: no idea until they're thrown in front of a camera.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, and you can't explain it to people. I
- 19:30Speaker 1: can watch reality TV as a viewer, but also because
- 19:34Speaker 1: I've been a part of it. At the end of
- 19:35Speaker 1: the day, like you know, moments that I've had where
- 19:39Speaker 1: I'm mortified, I have to step into that viewer perspective
- 19:43Speaker 1: and go, but you made great TV.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Well that's the thing too, even with the last season
- 19:49Speaker 2: of The Hills that we just did, I respect the
- 19:53Speaker 2: entertainment value side of things. So whenever you need to
- 19:57Speaker 2: kind of improvs a scene to make it more dramatic
- 20:00Speaker 2: or more interesting because it's too boring. You step it
- 20:04Speaker 2: up and you kind of have to. And that's why
- 20:07Speaker 2: sometimes the producers would step in and they're like Adrina,
- 20:10Speaker 2: like you're out of three. Take it to a ten,
- 20:13Speaker 2: I need tears, or I need this, or go in
- 20:15Speaker 2: there and say this and stir the pot. It's like, okay, let's.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Do it right. Because even though it is a reality
- 20:24Speaker 1: like it is real life, yeah, it is a produced
- 20:27Speaker 1: show because it's for entertainment, so you definitely do have
- 20:30Speaker 1: those moments of a producer stepping in and being like
- 20:34Speaker 1: what are we doing?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Yeah, like this is boring. No one's gonna want to
- 20:37Speaker 2: watch this. You guys step it up.
- 20:40Speaker 1: So I'm intrigued by you because you know reality TV
- 20:45Speaker 1: obviously now a lot of people say that it's like oversaturated,
- 20:49Speaker 1: like everyone and their dog can get a show based
- 20:51Speaker 1: on their life. Do I agree with that? Absolutely? Not yea.
- 20:55Speaker 1: And not every reality show is iconic. You are from
- 20:58Speaker 1: an iconic reality television show and you have managed to
- 21:03Speaker 1: make yourself a household name. Is that strange for you?
- 21:09Speaker 2: You know? I feel like it was in the beginning
- 21:12Speaker 2: because it was so surreal, and I had these girls
- 21:15Speaker 2: coming up to me giving me hugs and crying and
- 21:18Speaker 2: shaking and I'm just staring at me and I was like,
- 21:20Speaker 2: I'm a human, Like, hi, normal too, It's just because
- 21:24Speaker 2: I'm on TV. But then I would also have older
- 21:28Speaker 2: women that would watch it and come up and give
- 21:30Speaker 2: me advice like I was their granddaughter or their niece
- 21:32Speaker 2: or something about Justin and I'm like, all right, first off,
- 21:37Speaker 2: you don't know everything, but thank you. I appreciate your advice.
- 21:41Speaker 2: You know, it was so crazy, it's so weird.
- 21:45Speaker 1: It is crazy. And then but you almost have to
- 21:47Speaker 1: be grateful for those people because they're the loyal fans
- 21:50Speaker 1: who are watching every single episode every time you come
- 21:53Speaker 1: out with a product or like you you have your
- 21:56Speaker 1: book coming out, by the way, congratulations, thank you. That
- 22:00Speaker 1: is not easy. Did you enjoy the writing process.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Well, it was probably a year and a half. It was.
- 22:07Speaker 2: It was hard. There was days where you know, I
- 22:10Speaker 2: would get on the phone with the ghost Rider Jen.
- 22:12Speaker 2: He was amazing. She's almost like a therapist, and I
- 22:16Speaker 2: would break down crying. I'm like, I don't think I
- 22:18Speaker 2: could go. I blocked so much of my life out
- 22:21Speaker 2: and I just want to move forward. Like I never
- 22:23Speaker 2: thought i'd have to go back and dig and like
- 22:26Speaker 2: bring those emotions back to the purpose. So that for
- 22:29Speaker 2: me was very therapeutic. It was healing in a way
- 22:32Speaker 2: because now I can read it and I'm okay to
- 22:35Speaker 2: talk about it. I'm beyond that point now where it's
- 22:37Speaker 2: like I'm finally in a good place.
- 22:40Speaker 1: How did you come up with the title of your book?
- 22:43Speaker 1: Because me, I was sitting there racking my brain and
- 22:46Speaker 1: then it was just give them alack like everything else.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I know I need to read your book too.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I did not have a name. I just kind of
- 22:55Speaker 2: started basically my book. I really wanted to emphasize everybody
- 23:00Speaker 2: has the power to choose. When you wake up, you
- 23:03Speaker 2: have a choice whether you want to have a good
- 23:04Speaker 2: day a bad day. The decisions you make in your
- 23:07Speaker 2: life lead to certain consequences that you know you just
- 23:11Speaker 2: have to deal with that time. So a big part
- 23:13Speaker 2: of the book and what I wanted to make a
- 23:15Speaker 2: point of was the power to choose. So because I
- 23:18Speaker 2: kept talking about that so much and the choices I
- 23:20Speaker 2: made in my life that led me to all these
- 23:22Speaker 2: different paths and you know the choices I could have made,
- 23:25Speaker 2: but I took this direction instead. It all we were
- 23:28Speaker 2: all talking about it, and it's like they said, Adrina,
- 23:31Speaker 2: you're talking about your choices so much and where you've
- 23:34Speaker 2: gone in your life, and we were like, well, choices
- 23:37Speaker 2: and then to the hills and back again.
- 23:39Speaker 1: It's an amazing title.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I know that you have had rough patches in your life,
- 23:46Speaker 1: one of which was obviously your marriage, because I'm kind
- 23:50Speaker 1: of in that zone too, and I start thinking about
- 23:53Speaker 1: my choices and then I look at my daughter, which
- 23:56Speaker 1: you have a daughter, and I'm like, this is why
- 23:59Speaker 1: I made every Like the universe had me make all
- 24:02Speaker 1: of these choices to lead me to this person, right
- 24:05Speaker 1: hereat Do you believe that?
- 24:07Speaker 2: I completely believe that, because if I didn't meet my
- 24:11Speaker 2: ex husband and go through what I did, I went
- 24:14Speaker 2: through a lot off and on for a long time,
- 24:17Speaker 2: but it was all for my daughter because she was
- 24:19Speaker 2: meant to be here and I love her so much.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I'm sure you get it too. It's like, of course,
- 24:25Speaker 2: it's like a whole new love that you never knew
- 24:27Speaker 2: that you could love someone so much. And at the
- 24:32Speaker 2: end of the day, it's like, yeah, it was all
- 24:34Speaker 2: worth it because I have her and now we're good
- 24:37Speaker 2: and she's happy, and I made the right decision leaving,
- 24:40Speaker 2: and I'm happy with my choices.
- 24:43Speaker 1: We're back to choices and how old? How old is
- 24:48Speaker 1: your daughter? And what's her name?
- 24:49Speaker 2: Her name's Kira. She'll be six in June.
- 24:52Speaker 1: That is such a fun age.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yes, I love it. Every year it gets so much
- 24:58Speaker 2: more fun and they become their own little people and
- 25:02Speaker 2: their personality and all the different characteristics they have, and
- 25:07Speaker 2: just like their outlook on life. You know, the other day,
- 25:10Speaker 2: she asked me a lot of questions about food. So,
- 25:14Speaker 2: you know, if we're making a ham sandwich, she's like, well,
- 25:18Speaker 2: what meat is that from a hamster? And I'm like, no,
- 25:22Speaker 2: we're not eating hamster. It's from a pig. And she's like,
- 25:25Speaker 2: why isn't it called a pig sandwich? You know, like
- 25:27Speaker 2: all these little thoughts.
- 25:29Speaker 1: And they're very valid too, Yeah, questions we should all
- 25:32Speaker 1: be asking. How did you go through? So I remember
- 25:37Speaker 1: going through doing my book and they were like, send
- 25:41Speaker 1: the chapters and the breakdown of each one, and I'm like,
- 25:44Speaker 1: oh my god, how do I do that? When you
- 25:47Speaker 1: went through how many chapters? You were going to put
- 25:49Speaker 1: in and which one, like what stories each chapter would
- 25:52Speaker 1: consist of. Was there a lot of stuff that you
- 25:55Speaker 1: were like, this isn't going to make the cut, Like
- 25:56Speaker 1: this may be important to me, but it may not
- 25:59Speaker 1: write with a reader.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, we went through so many things, and we took
- 26:06Speaker 2: so much out and added different things and took chapters out.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Especially after doing audio and reading it out loud, it
- 26:12Speaker 2: changes everything. So we even had to change some things
- 26:16Speaker 2: around and there because it just didn't sound right reading
- 26:19Speaker 2: it out loud, right, so crazy?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Did you do that too? Yes? In fact, so you
- 26:25Speaker 1: mentioned your ghostwriter and I said this on tour. I
- 26:28Speaker 1: spoke about a ghostwriter, and the tour manager was like,
- 26:32Speaker 1: they were not understanding what that meant. So I just
- 26:35Speaker 1: want to put this out there for our listeners. Audrena
- 26:38Speaker 1: has a book. I have a book. Many people have
- 26:41Speaker 1: a book. The reason for the ghostwriter is Audrena wrote
- 26:44Speaker 1: her book. I wrote mine, But we are not writers.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I don't know how to format a book for the
- 26:50Speaker 1: life of me. Okay, So that's where the ghostwriter steps in.
- 26:54Speaker 1: They format your book, they make it a book, which
- 26:58Speaker 1: you and I, obviously I don't do for a living.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Oh, I did not go to school to learn that.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Right, So we it's all of what we wrote, and
- 27:06Speaker 1: then they formatted it. So there's like the writing for dummies,
- 27:09Speaker 1: which I took the crash course.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Yeah, the chapters like you were saying, But there was
- 27:13Speaker 2: a lot of stuff too where I didn't necessarily want
- 27:17Speaker 2: to indulge about, like I don't.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Want to write.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I was like, I'd rather be more vague about this.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I don't want to go there. And she's like Audrina
- 27:26Speaker 2: because they do their research and they're like, this is
- 27:28Speaker 2: what's out there. Because for a lot of the times
- 27:30Speaker 2: in the past and the media, I bit my tongue
- 27:33Speaker 2: all the time. I never really stuck up for myself
- 27:37Speaker 2: or cleared my name or said the truth. I was like, whatever,
- 27:41Speaker 2: Like the people that matter know the truth. If they
- 27:43Speaker 2: want to think that, I don't care, you know. I
- 27:46Speaker 2: think it was also from being on reality TV so long,
- 27:49Speaker 2: you just start not caring because nobody's really ever gonna
- 27:53Speaker 2: know the truth, or if they do, they might not
- 27:56Speaker 2: believe you. But in this sense, this was my op
- 28:00Speaker 2: opportunity to clear the air on what's been out there
- 28:03Speaker 2: and the truth.
- 28:04Speaker 1: That's so interesting that during the writing process. You were like,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I don't want to dive into this, and someone had
- 28:09Speaker 1: to tell you, like, this is your moment, because I
- 28:13Speaker 1: actually had the opposite feeling. I was, this is my
- 28:17Speaker 1: one chance to really Now, looking back, a lot of
- 28:21Speaker 1: the shit that I wrote about I probably would not
- 28:23Speaker 1: have written about. But I think I may be overshared.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Okay, I mean then, I'm sure your fans loved that.
- 28:32Speaker 2: You know, they probably ate that up and wanted more.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I think they do, just like I think when your
- 28:37Speaker 1: book comes out, which is the end of July, people
- 28:40Speaker 1: are finally going to get an unedited version of you. Yes,
- 28:46Speaker 1: and that's what people crave. Yeah, And I.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Was so I was like, Okay, if I'm going to
- 28:52Speaker 2: do this, I'm going to be open. I'm going to
- 28:54Speaker 2: be vulnerable. Here's my perspective. I'm not writing this book
- 28:59Speaker 2: to put anyone down. It's not about talking about other
- 29:02Speaker 2: people and what they went through, what I thought of them.
- 29:04Speaker 2: This is about me and the choices I made and
- 29:07Speaker 2: why and where it led me, and especially with my
- 29:11Speaker 2: marriage and what happened. There was a lot of gossip
- 29:14Speaker 2: and rumors and you know, TMZ would get all the
- 29:18Speaker 2: information from the court before I even knew what was happening,
- 29:21Speaker 2: and it was spread all over. So on top of that,
- 29:24Speaker 2: I'm sure, like you get it. Like it's already hard
- 29:27Speaker 2: enough going through what you're going through, and to add
- 29:30Speaker 2: on top of that, like everybody's judgment and the media
- 29:34Speaker 2: and the blogs and the press and just like putting
- 29:37Speaker 2: their two cents and when they they only know like
- 29:40Speaker 2: a fourth of what really.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Went on, absolutely and they pick up the one thing
- 29:45Speaker 1: that is the smallest part of everything but makes the
- 29:49Speaker 1: most incredible headline, and that is so frustrating.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yeah, So with this book, it's nice to be able
- 29:56Speaker 2: to clear that up and set the records straight.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I get a lot of questions about are you worried
- 30:06Speaker 1: about what your daughter will read? Do you worry about that?
- 30:11Speaker 2: That was something that was It's always on my mind
- 30:14Speaker 2: now and even with the Hills, you know, I was gosh,
- 30:18Speaker 2: eighteen nineteen, all in my twenties, I had no responsibilities.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I didn't care. We went out every night. The last
- 30:24Speaker 2: thing you think of when you're twenty twenty one, twenty
- 30:27Speaker 2: two is what my kids are going to think of
- 30:29Speaker 2: me one day? Or where is this show.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Going to lead? You know?
- 30:33Speaker 2: Right? But yeah, writing the book, I did have Kira
- 30:36Speaker 2: in mind, and the thing is all she asked to
- 30:39Speaker 2: do when she's older is google my name, and she's
- 30:41Speaker 2: going to see a lot of random stuff that's not true.
- 30:44Speaker 2: She's going to see some stuff that is true. It's
- 30:47Speaker 2: no secret that I was in a toxic relationship, and
- 30:51Speaker 2: it's all out there, so it's not a secret. But
- 30:54Speaker 2: at the same time, and I'm very honest with her
- 30:57Speaker 2: when she asked me questions and only giving her enough
- 31:00Speaker 2: information for her age and what she can handle. At
- 31:03Speaker 2: the end of my book, I did write her a
- 31:05Speaker 2: letter and a lot of it is about her and
- 31:08Speaker 2: like being a strong woman and being okay to walk
- 31:12Speaker 2: away from a toxic situation and not forcing yourself to
- 31:16Speaker 2: stay in it because you're a people pleaser or you
- 31:19Speaker 2: want to try to make things work, just because it's
- 31:23Speaker 2: like you have to do it's best for your child
- 31:25Speaker 2: and for yourself too.
- 31:27Speaker 1: So, Kira, you said that they they develop their little personalities,
- 31:32Speaker 1: right yeah, But I think they come exactly how like
- 31:36Speaker 1: they are who they are the second they pop out
- 31:38Speaker 1: of your cookie or however they come to the planet,
- 31:42Speaker 1: right yes, Ocean, I'm like, I will do my best
- 31:46Speaker 1: to teach her things. But that little girl will look
- 31:49Speaker 1: me dead in my eyes when I tell her not
- 31:51Speaker 1: to do something, and the look is like, go fuck yourself.
- 31:56Speaker 2: I mean, they definitely come out with a personality. It's
- 31:58Speaker 2: just as they learn more words and know how to
- 32:01Speaker 2: express their feelings and their thoughts, that's what it like.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Things come out of their mouth and you're like, what did.
- 32:08Speaker 1: You just say? Right?
- 32:09Speaker 2: You say that?
- 32:10Speaker 1: It really is. I said this over and over again
- 32:14Speaker 1: when I was in Utah because I was just like
- 32:16Speaker 1: in it being a mom. I wasn't working because I
- 32:19Speaker 1: was visiting family, and I was like, I just love
- 32:22Speaker 1: being a mom. Yeah, like it's just the best I know.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Do you want another?
- 32:26Speaker 1: Yes? I want another. I don't know how that baby,
- 32:29Speaker 1: the next baby will get here, but that's the plan.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I'm in the same boat. So we'll see. I do
- 32:37Speaker 2: want another one or two, but we'll see. You got
- 32:39Speaker 2: to meet the right guys, you know.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Or like, I don't need a guy at all, Send
- 32:43Speaker 1: me to the nearest sperm bank.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Yeah, just get get a book and you get to
- 32:48Speaker 2: like choose, yes, who you want to have that baby with.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I guess shopping for a baby daddy. That sounds awesome.
- 32:55Speaker 1: And then I don't have to deal with them after
- 32:57Speaker 1: even better, what is your dating life right now?
- 33:01Speaker 2: Honestly, when I was on the show, I went on
- 33:04Speaker 2: that date with Sean Stewart, which was for the show,
- 33:07Speaker 2: that was only with cameras. But I haven't went on
- 33:10Speaker 2: like a real date in a long time, probably three years,
- 33:15Speaker 2: since twenty nineteen.
- 33:16Speaker 1: And what's the reasoning for that? Are you not ready?
- 33:19Speaker 2: I wasn't ready. I've went through so much healing and
- 33:23Speaker 2: with Kira and just going through so much personally that
- 33:28Speaker 2: it wasn't in a headspace to give myself or my
- 33:32Speaker 2: mind or attention to someone else. It wouldn't be fair
- 33:36Speaker 2: for someone. But I mean I have went out and
- 33:38Speaker 2: I have flirted and met guys, but like I haven't
- 33:42Speaker 2: actually went on like a proper date or been in
- 33:45Speaker 2: a relationship. Okay, but now I'm ready, Like I'm finally
- 33:50Speaker 2: at a good, peaceful place right now where I'm finally
- 33:54Speaker 2: open to it and I'm ready.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I think you're very smart. I'm in that zone, and
- 33:59Speaker 1: I'm obviously very fresh into this like new single mom life,
- 34:03Speaker 1: and I'm very passionate about the topic of single mothers.
- 34:06Speaker 1: So you're doing a great job let me just tell
- 34:09Speaker 1: you that. But I feel the same way. And I said,
- 34:12Speaker 1: I don't have anything to give someone right now, and
- 34:14Speaker 1: everyone I said this on tour and everyone was like,
- 34:16Speaker 1: you have so much shit give. I was like, no, bitches,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I fucking know that. But yeah, if I have extra
- 34:24Speaker 1: time and energy, I want to place it into my
- 34:28Speaker 1: daughter or my existing relationships, not on someone new exactly.
- 34:34Speaker 2: And that's what I would always say. You know, I
- 34:35Speaker 2: had so many friends like you have to go meet
- 34:37Speaker 2: this guy, and I'd be like, I look at they
- 34:40Speaker 2: sell either picture and tell me about it. And I was like,
- 34:42Speaker 2: you know what, Like why am I gonna have to
- 34:44Speaker 2: get a babysitter leave her to go on this date
- 34:47Speaker 2: where I know it's not going to go anywhere? For
- 34:50Speaker 2: what a free dinner? I can make myself food. I
- 34:52Speaker 2: could take myself out like, I don't care, it's fine.
- 34:55Speaker 1: No, your outlook is like exactly like mine. But when
- 34:59Speaker 1: when you're in my or I'm in yours, like we
- 35:01Speaker 1: should go have a girl's night. That's easy. Yes, I
- 35:05Speaker 1: love girl time. So if you're still open to girl
- 35:08Speaker 1: time even though you're ready to date, I would love
- 35:11Speaker 1: to take you out on a date.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Let's go on a date. I would love that. See
- 35:15Speaker 2: that's like fun and making genuine, like good friends that
- 35:19Speaker 2: because I kind of have an idea what you're going
- 35:21Speaker 2: through and bend through it. So it's hard, you know,
- 35:25Speaker 2: and it's hard being a single mom, especially when you
- 35:27Speaker 2: do start dating. It's like this is all new that
- 35:30Speaker 2: I'm learning now, Like when do you introduce your child
- 35:34Speaker 2: to this person? Or like you know, there's so many
- 35:37Speaker 2: things that run through my mind now where I'm like, Okay,
- 35:41Speaker 2: I have to really like read out all the guys
- 35:44Speaker 2: whoever I'm going to date, like they have to be
- 35:46Speaker 2: very special before I even introduce them to my daughter.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, It's like the stakes are so much higher
- 35:52Speaker 1: now and you're going to think I'm a whack job,
- 35:54Speaker 1: But I actually brought on a PI who I literally
- 35:59Speaker 1: if I I'm even just talking even though I'm not
- 36:02Speaker 1: ready to date exclusively, if I'm just welcoming a person
- 36:06Speaker 1: into like my atmosphere, I run a background check.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I actually that's smart because I don't Yeah, if you're
- 36:15Speaker 2: going to bring someone new that you don't know anything about,
- 36:18Speaker 2: you want to know who's around your child. Can you
- 36:21Speaker 2: trust them?
- 36:22Speaker 1: Right?
- 36:22Speaker 2: And that's the thing from being on reality TV too.
- 36:25Speaker 2: It's like your circle grows becomes so small, and then
- 36:29Speaker 2: you do develop trust issues because at certain times you're like,
- 36:33Speaker 2: well do you really want to be my friend? Or
- 36:36Speaker 2: like there's so many blurred lines. And even dating on
- 36:40Speaker 2: the Old Hills, you know, it's like I would get
- 36:43Speaker 2: guys that were hot and they'd be like, let's just
- 36:45Speaker 2: date on your show, and I was like, well, you're good.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Look you know, I'll go on a date with you.
- 36:49Speaker 2: So it becomes like, okay, you want to use me,
- 36:51Speaker 2: I'll use you, Like, come on the show, we'll go
- 36:53Speaker 2: on a date. And then that's the end of it.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Well, and I think dating in LA is hard enough
- 36:58Speaker 1: as it is, even without cameras being on you. But
- 37:02Speaker 1: I like that you developed that you scratch my back,
- 37:04Speaker 1: I'll scratch yours. It's like, well then I'll just parade
- 37:07Speaker 1: your fine ass on TV like a show pony.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Say it works for TV.
- 37:12Speaker 1: You did bring a lot of hot men around, I
- 37:14Speaker 1: will say.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Thank you, Yeah, I tried. Yeah, there was one in particular.
- 37:19Speaker 2: I remember it was like I brought a lot of
- 37:21Speaker 2: models on male models like supermodels. They are very good looking,
- 37:26Speaker 2: but their intelligence level or right, we didn't have a
- 37:30Speaker 2: lot in common or any I don't know.
- 37:32Speaker 1: See, I have to have substance. I got to be
- 37:34Speaker 1: able to go deep with you. I need to be
- 37:36Speaker 1: able to talk about the universe, even if you don't
- 37:38Speaker 1: agree with what I'm saying. Like, I have to be
- 37:40Speaker 1: able to like, I can't stay surfaced with anybody.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like get deep debate, like find out why you
- 37:47Speaker 2: believe in these things, because I'm open to hearing other
- 37:50Speaker 2: people's perspective. You know, I'm not just till I'm not
- 37:54Speaker 2: closed off, but it's interesting to like to be able
- 37:58Speaker 2: to go back and forth and talk.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Absolutely. I have to ask you about Justin, Bobby. Where
- 38:04Speaker 1: is he in the world these days? Do you even
- 38:06Speaker 1: know Justin?
- 38:08Speaker 2: He lives down here in Orange County?
- 38:09Speaker 1: Are you still friends?
- 38:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 38:12Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah.
- 38:13Speaker 2: The last well, he had a show, I think it
- 38:17Speaker 2: was either at the end of last year, I don't know,
- 38:19Speaker 2: like maybe six months ago in Huntington. So I went
- 38:23Speaker 2: to a show. And then it was his fortieth in March,
- 38:27Speaker 2: and I think he went to Vegas with all the
- 38:29Speaker 2: guys and then he was going to go to Tuloom.
- 38:31Speaker 2: We talked a little bit after that and then I
- 38:33Speaker 2: haven't heard from him in the last couple months.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Was that a toxic relationship or do you think you
- 38:38Speaker 1: guys were just young and trying to figure out like
- 38:40Speaker 1: where you wanted to be in life.
- 38:42Speaker 2: I think at that point we were just young trying
- 38:45Speaker 2: to figure out our life and dating. And I met
- 38:48Speaker 2: him before the Hills, like I brought him onto it,
- 38:52Speaker 2: so we had a relationship before, and then once he
- 38:56Speaker 2: was on the show, it totally changed our dynamic and
- 39:00Speaker 2: kind of changed everything. And then once he was on it,
- 39:04Speaker 2: I couldn't get him off of it. There's no getting
- 39:09Speaker 2: Justin out of my life. So we've both accepted it
- 39:11Speaker 2: and we're just we're friends now forever.
- 39:13Speaker 1: But it'll never evolve into something more now that you're
- 39:17Speaker 1: both older and wiser.
- 39:19Speaker 2: We've talked about it. I don't know, you know, I
- 39:22Speaker 2: feel like I'll always have love for him, and he
- 39:25Speaker 2: always checks in on me and Kira, and if he's
- 39:28Speaker 2: around or I'm down in Huntington and Newport, like you know,
- 39:31Speaker 2: we might meet up. But Justin's a mysterious man. He
- 39:34Speaker 2: is a nomad, he's a gypsyam. He just loves not
- 39:38Speaker 2: having any responsibility, not answering to anyone and just doing
- 39:41Speaker 2: whatever he wants. He pops in and out of my life.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Right, he's a popper, I will say, take all of
- 39:48Speaker 1: that out of it. You guys would make gorgeous babies,
- 39:51Speaker 1: thank you. But you would make gorgeous babies with anybody.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I mean, look at you.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I had the best time having you on my podcast.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I know, let's grab lunch or dinner.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I would love it.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Please, yes, let's do it.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Congratulations on all of your success and it was such
- 40:09Speaker 1: an honor to have you on my podcast. You're a
- 40:10Speaker 1: fucking icon. Thank you, Thank you, babe. Have the best day.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Bye.
