- 1:40Speaker 3: I started in show business in nineteen eighty seven. There
- 1:43Speaker 3: was a show in Midwood, Brooklyn called The Cosby Show
- 1:47Speaker 3: that was filmed at NBC in Amnue m and Brooklyn.
- 1:50Speaker 3: One day, on a hot summer day, I was strolling
- 1:53Speaker 3: through the streets and patroling, I would say, And I
- 1:58Speaker 3: bummed into a friend from school and she had like milkshake,
- 2:01Speaker 3: and I'm like, why do you have milkshake all over you?
- 2:04Speaker 3: And she's like, I just ran into Lisa Bonet, who
- 2:07Speaker 3: plays Denise on The Cosby Show, and YadA yad ya.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And my coincidence would normally be.
- 2:16Speaker 3: To keep like, go right away, go try your So
- 2:20Speaker 3: I didn't go right away and went the week aft
- 2:23Speaker 3: on a Wednesday, and they're like, oh, then I hear
- 2:25Speaker 3: they're on hiatus.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I don't know what hiatus was. Go back the second week.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Sorry, they're not back yet. They were still on hiatus.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I go back the third week, and by now me
- 2:37Speaker 3: in security ten name is Marie. We will like on
- 2:41Speaker 3: first name bases. So she goes hold on and she
- 2:45Speaker 3: goes and gets mister Cosby and he comes out. He
- 2:49Speaker 3: had a great jug and suit, cigar glass or coffee
- 2:53Speaker 3: and milk, puts the cigar is abound coffee glass here.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And shakes my hand. Changes my world.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I was in the summer of eighty six, in the
- 3:04Speaker 3: fall of eighty national fall, I'm saying the winter of
- 3:07Speaker 3: eighty I would say February March.
- 3:09Speaker 2: By February.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I went up to him.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I said to Marie.
- 3:13Speaker 3: One day, go Marie, if you see mister c tell
- 3:16Speaker 3: him I'm looking for him. He goes, mister Cosby just
- 3:19Speaker 3: walked past students and good night Maryo. And you ignore
- 3:22Speaker 3: him because I was talking to some famous significant other,
- 3:27Speaker 3: not more important.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Than him, but whatever.
- 3:29Speaker 3: So a week later I go up to them and
- 3:32Speaker 3: I tell him, and he says to me, okay, if
- 3:35Speaker 3: you want to do it, you got to bring me
- 3:37Speaker 3: your parents.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So I can't just do it without permission. You're a child,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you're a minor.
- 3:42Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:43Speaker 2: They loved me in the studio.
- 3:45Speaker 3: So I said, no problem, went home, told my parents
- 3:48Speaker 3: didn't know where it was going, and they're like, you're gonna.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Get kicked out. You're gonna get kicked out. I'm like, no,
- 3:53Speaker 2: they need to come.
- 3:54Speaker 3: So I show up the next Wednesday and I'm in
- 3:57Speaker 3: the in the bleacher area with somebody who went by
- 4:01Speaker 3: the name of Romeo Blue, who happens to be Lenny Kravitz. Wow,
- 4:07Speaker 3: Lenny used to date Lisa Bonet before I'm married. So
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'm sitting there and he's got his guitar and he's
- 4:14Speaker 3: just jamming away while they're coming into the studio all
- 4:18Speaker 3: the actors and mister Cosby comes in.
- 4:21Speaker 2: He goes, MARRYO. I go, hi, mister, see, how are you?
- 4:24Speaker 2: He goes, uh, did you get your parents? Where's your bag?
- 4:28Speaker 3: You were serious about that?
- 4:29Speaker 2: And he goes, weren't you?
- 4:30Speaker 3: And I was like yeah, So ran I was like, oh,
- 4:33Speaker 3: go marry We'll get your parents. Fick of where they are.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I'm calling home on the payphone. My mother and I
- 4:38Speaker 3: thank god my mother made the turn on Avenue M
- 4:41Speaker 3: and he's fourteenth and she went in and he changed
- 4:45Speaker 3: my life. I became official actor in movies. My first
- 4:50Speaker 3: movie was in a movie called It was filmed in
- 4:54Speaker 3: Coney Island with Sam Elliott. I can't remember.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It was Familio Love.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yeah. He was in a somewhere and he had a
- 5:01Speaker 3: jump out of the ride at the parachuting and we're
- 5:04Speaker 3: all watching because he was doing something there. It was
- 5:08Speaker 3: either called it was supposed to call blue Jeans, but
- 5:11Speaker 3: I think they changed it to something else.
- 5:14Speaker 2: And then I started just doing constant.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Extra work, extra work, extra work, and I finally standing standing.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And then I landed in some movie roles like Bullet
- 5:23Speaker 3: with Mickey Rock to Park Levigne from Sounds of the Lands,
- 5:27Speaker 3: Adrian Brody played Mickey Rock's brother.
- 5:29Speaker 2: It's like a big cast, uh.
- 5:32Speaker 3: The mother who played Karen from Henry Hill from Goodfellas, Mother.
- 5:38Speaker 1: O Mother, a full full cast, ensemble.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Ensemble cast, amazing.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Did that part.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Then I did Studio fifty.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Four and then I got I was doing thinking, I'm
- 5:50Speaker 3: gonna open up a talent agency, I'm gonna book for
- 5:54Speaker 3: extra work. Hop about cast didn't get them more. What
- 5:57Speaker 3: all the actions they need for the role, for whatever
- 6:01Speaker 3: parts they need. We need six men tall with business suits,
- 6:04Speaker 3: and we need three this way and to that, I'd
- 6:07Speaker 3: get them more. And because I helped the casting director
- 6:13Speaker 3: on the movie, uh keeping the fake Ben Stiller and Norton,
- 6:21Speaker 3: I forgot the girl was I forgot jen Effman? I
- 6:24Speaker 3: think it was jenff. I think it was Jenn Elfman.
- 6:27Speaker 3: He gave me a standing work on NYPD Blue. One
- 6:32Speaker 3: day I'm on the set. Now I had to do
- 6:34Speaker 3: the kid was a small kid. The kid was like
- 6:36Speaker 3: five years old, so I'm a little poorer than a
- 6:39Speaker 3: five year old. So I had to do it on
- 6:41Speaker 3: my knees, like didn't stand on my knees for the
- 6:44Speaker 3: light and stuff. Sometimes I had to take can you
- 6:46Speaker 3: go down on the steps on your knees? And I'm like,
- 6:48Speaker 3: I ain't got our knees after this, But all right,
- 6:51Speaker 3: you know, I said, you gotta do the you gotta
- 6:54Speaker 3: you know, he crowd they say in his business, so continue.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And there was on the phone talking to my mother
- 7:02Speaker 3: and Italian and the executive producer who was at a
- 7:06Speaker 3: real cop on the job, a real NYPD detective he
- 7:11Speaker 3: became an executive producer.
- 7:14Speaker 1: He heard me talk.
- 7:14Speaker 2: He's like, you're Italian. I was like, yes, A saying
- 7:16Speaker 2: this dad.
- 7:17Speaker 3: He's like and he started talking to me in Italian
- 7:20Speaker 3: and he's like, I'm not Italian, I'm from Canadian. But
- 7:23Speaker 3: he goes, I was stationed in Italy don Vietnam, and
- 7:26Speaker 3: I picked up the language.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And we still talk once in a while.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And he's not doing anything, but he's a great guy
- 7:34Speaker 3: and gave me his car and introduced me to David Milch.
- 7:38Speaker 2: David Milch changed my life.
- 7:40Speaker 3: David Milch created Hill Street Blues from Stephen Botchko, created
- 7:44Speaker 3: NYPD Blue, created La Law, He did dead Wood on HBO.
- 7:50Speaker 3: He did Deadwood, done a lot of great work, and
- 7:53Speaker 3: he's very sick out. David's great, great, great executive producer.
- 7:58Speaker 3: And he gave me his card and he said, hey,
- 8:02Speaker 3: call me if you ever coming into town, if you
- 8:04Speaker 3: ever come to la And then one holiday season was
- 8:08Speaker 3: I know what happen if I called a page that
- 8:11Speaker 3: called Bill Web and he's like, oh, David wants to
- 8:13Speaker 3: say hello, and you put they Mario, Oh yeah, Ho's
- 8:16Speaker 3: New York.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And I go good, good, because when you come into town.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I think I have some for you, And I was
- 8:20Speaker 3: like you what.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, baby, I'm coming.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Flew out right after the holidays in January, got into
- 8:29Speaker 3: a little misfit out there with a couple of friends.
- 8:31Speaker 3: We train wrecked in a hotel room. And unfortunately I
- 8:38Speaker 3: don't do that anymore.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I go to God, Now I don't do that kind
- 8:42Speaker 3: of stuff. It was all It wasn't even all me.
- 8:45Speaker 3: It was somebody else that did a lot of damage.
- 8:48Speaker 3: But so he was like, go home, Mario, go home,
- 8:51Speaker 3: go home. You're gonna get yourself arrested and I can't
- 8:54Speaker 3: help you here in La So I was like no,
- 8:57Speaker 3: but he wants to give me that pawn I need
- 9:00Speaker 3: and I need like a crying kid whining time twenty seven, Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 3: I was winning like fifty two.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Well, you know you look very young, obviously, will they
- 9:11Speaker 1: tell you all time a young gilk Now, so you
- 9:12Speaker 1: were twenty seven when this happened. And then they sent
- 9:14Speaker 1: you home.
- 9:15Speaker 2: They sent me home. They told me you got to
- 9:16Speaker 2: go home.
- 9:17Speaker 3: We'll fly you out. And then about a month later
- 9:21Speaker 3: he stood on top and then they were going to
- 9:23Speaker 3: use me. In episode seven to one seven but because
- 9:26Speaker 3: Frank Vincent was in it, they felt Frank would overpower me, right,
- 9:31Speaker 3: so they kept They put me in seven to one eight,
- 9:34Speaker 3: Lucky Luciano. What it's I believe in destiny. I believe
- 9:39Speaker 3: things happening for a reason. People come into my life
- 9:42Speaker 3: for a reason. Right here, Yeah, I believe that. And
- 9:47Speaker 3: seven one eight I got on. Now, I was given
- 9:50Speaker 3: the first two opening scenes. I mean, did Jakouzi at
- 9:55Speaker 3: the They put me at the marriage when the first
- 9:58Speaker 3: day I got there, he he goes, this is the production.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Go see you stand at the Marriotte better bit better.
- 10:04Speaker 3: But so I get a call from the producer. He goes,
- 10:06Speaker 3: if you touch a fock on top of the table,
- 10:08Speaker 3: he goes, I will pack you up and ship you
- 10:10Speaker 3: in a garbage back to Brooklyn. So you know I
- 10:17Speaker 3: tend sometimes to push the envelope.
- 10:21Speaker 2: The envelope.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Okay, So I'm in did you close? You with my
- 10:24Speaker 3: cousin Freddy? And I'm looking at and I'm like, he goes,
- 10:28Speaker 3: what's man, I just wrapped. I'm going home on Wednesday.
- 10:30Speaker 3: That's what was a Friday. I had few extra days
- 10:33Speaker 3: in Hollywood. What is the primario?
- 10:35Speaker 2: Why you say I'm like, listen, but they're.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Not gonna know me. By the end of the episode.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna be forgotten.
- 10:45Speaker 2: He goes, what do you mean.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I go, I have the first two scenes and then
- 10:48Speaker 3: the whole.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Rest of the show. I have nothing.
- 10:51Speaker 3: He goes, so what are you gonna do? I go, well,
- 10:54Speaker 3: I have to do something that I don't want to do,
- 10:56Speaker 3: and he goes, you know, they gave it to you.
- 10:58Speaker 3: You didn't audition. And I was like, you know, usually
- 11:01Speaker 3: an actor will get reported to the union for doing
- 11:05Speaker 3: something like this. And I went to the lunch meeting
- 11:08Speaker 3: and and it wasn't even invited. I showed up on
- 11:10Speaker 3: annasced crasial lunch meeting at the Commissaria Fox Studio when
- 11:15Speaker 3: I walk in and they're like, Mario said, what's going on?
- 11:19Speaker 3: How are you?
- 11:20Speaker 2: I go, I got a question?
- 11:21Speaker 3: But if I ask, you guys gonna kill me. Am
- 11:22Speaker 3: I gonna get banned? Am I gonna get thrown at?
- 11:25Speaker 3: He's like, no, well what's on your mind? I go, well,
- 11:28Speaker 3: you know, I was stinking. I love what you guys
- 11:30Speaker 3: did for minut It's all great. Yeah, and I'm looking
- 11:33Speaker 3: at Bill Clark. Bill's got it got me on and
- 11:36Speaker 3: I'm looking at him going like, really, you're gonna do
- 11:39Speaker 3: this and.
- 11:40Speaker 2: He goes, So, David goes, Mario, what do you tell me?
- 11:43Speaker 3: What do you film? I go, well, in the first
- 11:46Speaker 3: two scenes, I'm they're coming to me excent about the
- 11:49Speaker 3: crime and what's going on. And it ended pretty well
- 11:52Speaker 3: in the second scene. But nobody's gonna know who I
- 11:57Speaker 3: am by the end of the show because there's so
- 11:59Speaker 3: much much more going on. So Bill turned to a
- 12:04Speaker 3: couple of David Mouch turned a couple of producers. He
- 12:07Speaker 3: turned to Stephen Boko, who created and showed the owner
- 12:10Speaker 3: of the company of Boo Production was there and he's like,
- 12:14Speaker 3: I'm going, oh my god, this guy's like I won't
- 12:16Speaker 3: said to Stephen bo I ghost, I go, Stephen, we
- 12:21Speaker 3: both had the same last name.
- 12:22Speaker 2: He must be a tank. He goes, now, I'm polish.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Was he a nice guy?
- 12:29Speaker 2: He was a very nice guy.
- 12:30Speaker 3: He passed away, but he did get I did get
- 12:32Speaker 3: in a scene at the end of the episode.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Did I did? I got to stay in our life
- 12:37Speaker 2: for like two more weeks.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Wow? So that was great? So how many how many
- 12:42Speaker 1: series did you do? Besides besides that, that was what
- 12:46Speaker 1: I know I.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Was a pit Blue and why petty Blue Eye.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I got into some more, right, yep, I got into
- 12:53Speaker 3: most misfits. So I started borrowing golf carts on the
- 12:57Speaker 3: studio line, but I would crash them or I dropped them.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I borrowed all of them white Petty Blue left them
- 13:04Speaker 3: bed with no plug in. I was naive, and then
- 13:08Speaker 3: I'd go to the Simpsons because Simpsons was a question.
- 13:12Speaker 3: I'd go to the Simpsons and I go, excuse me,
- 13:14Speaker 3: can I please borrow your golf car? Like, well, we
- 13:16Speaker 3: only need it for our kiss? And I'm like, but
- 13:19Speaker 3: you guys, it's very important. And I'm weak and I'm
- 13:22Speaker 3: on themoy Peita ball or you're on Ny pity blow.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'm a kiss mother now oh no kiss?
- 13:28Speaker 3: Remember who's a guest star?
- 13:29Speaker 1: I started.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I crashed one golf car because I saw what gold
- 13:34Speaker 2: Why were you taking this.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Golf just because you wanted to drive?
- 13:37Speaker 3: Drive around?
- 13:37Speaker 2: The student studio was a lot. It's very big.
- 13:40Speaker 3: The lot is huge. It is the Daryl Zanic building
- 13:45Speaker 3: where Whoopi Goldberg was sitting in front when I crashed
- 13:48Speaker 3: one of the golf cards.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Did you see Yeah?
- 13:51Speaker 2: I smashed the front end of the golf cart. Don't
- 13:54Speaker 2: let me drive your car.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'm not let you drive my car for sure. We
- 13:57Speaker 1: never get behind the wheel of my car.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Man agerous.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I see that. You're dangerous.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Man, I'm dangerous.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You should have been playing. You're playing side by side,
- 14:06Speaker 1: went on a Schwartzenheger. That's what you should have been.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I met him on a movie called List Action Hero.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I love that movie. That was one of my favorite movies.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That was a movie inside of a movie. Yes, I
- 14:18Speaker 1: liked it was good.
- 14:19Speaker 3: So I'm in the scene where at the same location
- 14:23Speaker 3: we filmed two scenes, the action scene where he's in
- 14:28Speaker 3: a leather jacket and jeans, and and then another scene
- 14:33Speaker 3: he's in a tuxedo with Maria Schreiver in a gown,
- 14:37Speaker 3: and they were arguing, we got to edit the part.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Well, we're arguing now, that's for sure the divorce.
- 14:46Speaker 3: But comedy came into my lap as an accident. I'll
- 14:49Speaker 3: make that short and screen that as long as.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I like listening to that, that's the whole I like
- 14:54Speaker 1: the acting party.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been in a last bullet The hard ware
- 14:59Speaker 3: got for the three The Lemmons Sisters. Blue Jeans was
- 15:02Speaker 3: the first that did mellow Shoes and white. I want
- 15:05Speaker 3: the Tesh Tesh School of Arts Award. What else did
- 15:12Speaker 3: you go to acting school? Now, Bill Cosby? I learned
- 15:15Speaker 3: everything from the Cosby Show. Watch them do everything. That's
- 15:19Speaker 3: why I said I could do it, because I watched them.
- 15:22Speaker 3: So December will be eight years. October would be eight
- 15:27Speaker 3: years that I joined the class. So a friend of mine, Geana,
- 15:30Speaker 3: says to me, one day, there's a free acting comedy class.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 15:35Speaker 3: We'll go to lunch you, we'll go to dinner. After
- 15:37Speaker 3: we have fun, we'll buddy buddies. We're gonna hang out
- 15:40Speaker 3: whenever a good time. I said, okay, no problem. I
- 15:43Speaker 3: was like, comedy is not for me. I'm not gonna
- 15:45Speaker 3: stand up for me. I don't want to write jokes.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I'm not gonna write a joke. So she goes, listen,
- 15:51Speaker 3: it's free one hour.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I want to do it. I want you to do
- 15:54Speaker 2: it with me.
- 15:55Speaker 3: So at the end the teacher goes, okay, guys, the
- 15:58Speaker 3: class is, the seminar is done. The pre seminar you got.
- 16:04Speaker 3: If you want to join the class, please see the
- 16:06Speaker 3: girl outside. The class was four hundred dollars. But if
- 16:09Speaker 3: you because if you joined.
- 16:10Speaker 1: That day, and where is this class? Where was the class?
- 16:12Speaker 3: It was gonna be at the Drama Bookstore uptown right
- 16:16Speaker 3: around here at the Drama Bookstore, was gonna be the
- 16:19Speaker 3: class downstairs. Okay, a problem, so she says. And then
- 16:25Speaker 3: they moved it to Gotham Comedy Club. So she says, Okay,
- 16:28Speaker 3: this is the class, this is the thing. So four
- 16:31Speaker 3: hundred today, sixty dollars off because you came and took
- 16:35Speaker 3: this one hour thing. So my friend got mad. Three
- 16:38Speaker 3: four It's like, I don't have three hundred forty dollars
- 16:40Speaker 3: to give to this. So she goes, so you in
- 16:43Speaker 3: the said, I go, yeah, he was, how better I
- 16:45Speaker 3: take another sixty year off and make it too Wait
- 16:47Speaker 3: in my faight's like not to eighty? We got when
- 16:49Speaker 3: when we said the one hundred twenty hours, I got
- 16:51Speaker 3: shut up.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I got this shut up. So I got it. We
- 16:55Speaker 1: know we could get it down further.
- 16:57Speaker 3: So I go, you know, I go, I really had
- 16:59Speaker 3: a comment. I'm not and I'm just an actor and
- 17:02Speaker 3: I'm just okay, he goes. I go, you know, I'm
- 17:05Speaker 3: a Seg actor. So Seg gives discounts because I bet
- 17:09Speaker 3: another sixty year old to twenty from four hundred for
- 17:13Speaker 3: ten igo ten weeks twenty two dollars a week. But
- 17:16Speaker 3: you gotta pay it up. Okay, So my friends is
- 17:18Speaker 3: don't worry. I got it's a credit called down. One
- 17:21Speaker 3: for me, one for Marria.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So you gotta for you got it for twenty two. Yes,
- 17:25Speaker 1: you've got two for the price of one. Look at you, man. Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it's a real Sicilian.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You gotta go shot them with me. I know how
- 17:31Speaker 3: to I know how to look like that.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Too, though.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I like.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I like that kind of know what I like.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I like the play of it. And it's not even
- 17:37Speaker 1: about it. I like to know that I can I
- 17:39Speaker 1: can haggle. Yes, I can had I could haggle with
- 17:43Speaker 1: the rest of them.
- 17:44Speaker 3: My friends say that I may have some part of
- 17:47Speaker 3: being Jewish, and I was like, I was like, okay,
- 17:50Speaker 3: that's a good antisemitic.
- 17:51Speaker 1: But that's all right, we'll go.
- 17:52Speaker 3: No, no, just say like, but again, okay, is it
- 17:58Speaker 3: because I like to save? Okay, so I go shopping
- 18:01Speaker 3: a lot.
- 18:01Speaker 1: There's a lot. Let me tell you, A lot of
- 18:03Speaker 1: Sicilians are worse the Jews. You know that, yes?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Right?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Do you know they're saying they cried poverty with a bread.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yes, well, because they came from nothing.
- 18:13Speaker 3: They came from And I don't want to just say
- 18:16Speaker 3: this is for Italians, yes, or for Americans or any
- 18:21Speaker 3: nationality has struggled to come to leave their fear. My mother,
- 18:27Speaker 3: my mother left her mother, her sister, My fuck father
- 18:32Speaker 3: left all her family to come to America to be
- 18:34Speaker 3: with my father, to have children. My grandfather. I met once,
- 18:40Speaker 3: my mother's father before he passed away. My grandmother, she
- 18:43Speaker 3: came there after I was born because I was sick,
- 18:46Speaker 3: and then then I met her in Italy once. I've
- 18:51Speaker 3: seen her three times, once before she right before she died.
- 18:55Speaker 3: She wouldn't die unless my mom was there.
- 18:58Speaker 2: But this is that's okay. I don't want to hub something.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I don't want to haggle you can have.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I don't want to haggle a bottle of water?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Can I have three dollars fifty cents for you?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Okay?
- 19:12Speaker 3: So comedy started out. So I'll tell you a quick thing.
- 19:18Speaker 3: And I wonder if they still have those classes. They
- 19:21Speaker 3: still do, and how much are they now? They're probably
- 19:24Speaker 3: four fifty five.
- 19:26Speaker 1: You're gonna call me if I want to go take
- 19:27Speaker 1: the classes and.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Haggle for me, Oh I would I wouldn't even haggle
- 19:31Speaker 3: for you. I just tomped straight out this.
- 19:33Speaker 1: She's with me.
- 19:34Speaker 2: She gets that discount for me years ago.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I love it. You gotta do that.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Listen, listen one thing. I love Macy's.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so a jacket like this comes out and it's
- 19:45Speaker 3: normally this was one twenty five.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So most people feel very handsome and if thank you.
- 19:50Speaker 3: My dear, so I go, I don't buy it right
- 19:53Speaker 3: off the bat. There's no need for me to buy
- 19:56Speaker 3: it like it. I'll lie you.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I'll keep an eye on it. Or and it goes
- 20:00Speaker 2: back on sale, it'll go down to seventy five, then
- 20:04Speaker 2: back up to one twenty five, then back to eighty something,
- 20:07Speaker 2: that back up. I will watch it play up and
- 20:10Speaker 2: down games until it goes to last act. Last act
- 20:14Speaker 2: is when I show up and I get it for
- 20:16Speaker 2: forty nine to ninety nine.
- 20:18Speaker 1: And that's what you got that jacket. Yes, this was
- 20:20Speaker 1: very nice.
- 20:20Speaker 2: It might even a bit lesser.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I have jackets that were one fifty two hundred that
- 20:25Speaker 3: I paid forty nine. I've paid thirty seven.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Now how do I do this? You just? You just
- 20:30Speaker 1: how do you watch it because I don't I don't
- 20:32Speaker 1: do I don't go that far. So what do you
- 20:34Speaker 1: how do you do that?
- 20:34Speaker 3: I'm a hag. Look I told you so, I just
- 20:39Speaker 3: watch it because it's like my wardrobe. I have just
- 20:42Speaker 3: how many jackets I w I'm sure you own a lot.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I bet you a thousand.
- 20:47Speaker 2: No, I own about one hundred something jackets.
- 20:50Speaker 3: That's a lot of jackets. That's a lot of jacks.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I'm addictive. I have almost two hundred both toys. Wow,
- 20:57Speaker 3: but maybe eighty button down shirts and probably a good
- 21:01Speaker 3: forty or something pants. So I'm constantly shopping because we
- 21:06Speaker 3: have four seasons, even though New York's four seasons are
- 21:10Speaker 3: not like if you like, Florida is like first four seasons,
- 21:15Speaker 3: but there are four seasons, constant hot. You could wear
- 21:18Speaker 3: you can't wear white in January, but you could wear like,
- 21:21Speaker 3: you know, like you could wear like, you could wear
- 21:24Speaker 3: light blue, powder blue, light stuff. You can't wear, you know,
- 21:30Speaker 3: anything alloy in Florida because it doesn't fifty genre, the genres,
- 21:35Speaker 3: the style doesn't fit. But New York we have the
- 21:38Speaker 3: same thing. New York we have two seasons. Basically, we
- 21:42Speaker 3: have full in summer. That's because yet winter and spring
- 21:48Speaker 3: are pretty much all cold poblienta May's and we're about
- 21:51Speaker 3: to go into summer and then in the falls once
- 21:55Speaker 3: October comes, October, we're already back.
- 21:57Speaker 2: In winter coats.
- 21:59Speaker 3: So we it's basic sickly winter from October till April
- 22:04Speaker 3: right till I from even even like the other day
- 22:07Speaker 3: was so hot, like a couple of weeks ago.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Do you wear a jacket in the heat too, when
- 22:12Speaker 1: you're going stage shoe like that? Would you wear it?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Would you wear you? Still would wear a jacket.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Like if in the summer time, I'm going to a
- 22:18Speaker 3: show because I'm well known now on the streets as
- 22:21Speaker 3: entertainer and stuff. Yes, because I want to keep my look,
- 22:25Speaker 3: I may not put a bow tie on because it's hot.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I've been on like like you know, like summer comes, my.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Hair has to be up, I say, hair has to
- 22:36Speaker 3: look like prestige, like it has to be cut, has
- 22:39Speaker 3: to be cleaned, has to be done, has to be spiked,
- 22:41Speaker 3: has to go up because you.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Don't know who's in winter time? No, because winter, like
- 22:46Speaker 2: I have a hat.
- 22:47Speaker 3: On, so I wear gloves, mitten's hat, scoff you know,
- 22:52Speaker 3: so I'm will rolled up and cover it up, right,
- 22:54Speaker 3: so I'll show up to a place to go to
- 22:57Speaker 3: the bedom and then do my hair right.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yes, well we did that today.
- 23:03Speaker 2: What do you mean well today, Yeah, I came in
- 23:05Speaker 2: bundled up.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Because you were bundled up to and but it was
- 23:08Speaker 1: what it was colder than it was yesterday. Though, yes
- 23:11Speaker 1: it was beautiful yesterday.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Even yes, there was beautiful. The other day was gorgeous.
- 23:15Speaker 3: But this is the weather where you decided to go,
- 23:17Speaker 3: oh well, I don't want to go without anything.
- 23:20Speaker 1: And then it's free the other day.
- 23:22Speaker 3: The other day was eighty.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Two in the day went up to eighty six and
- 23:25Speaker 2: then went down to what went down.
- 23:27Speaker 1: To fifty two?
- 23:30Speaker 3: Fifty two the next day we were in the sixties,
- 23:35Speaker 3: and Jack, we were already in the forties.
- 23:37Speaker 2: So now what happens is is that you're dressed.
- 23:40Speaker 3: For style, right, but the weather is not strong enough
- 23:43Speaker 3: for your style and you get sick. It's me, I'm
- 23:46Speaker 3: a magnet for soon as I am a magnets, soon
- 23:51Speaker 3: as I changed clothing, I will stay in a coat,
- 23:56Speaker 3: whether it's medium colat or full coat, all the way
- 24:00Speaker 3: until like Mother's Day, like until I feel like it's it's.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Now, it's gonna stay long, and it's gonna be hot,
- 24:08Speaker 4: and we're gonna go from Mother's Day all the way
- 24:11Speaker 4: to the even then I bring a zip up switch
- 24:14Speaker 4: shirt with me because at night it gets cold or
- 24:18Speaker 4: it gets chilly.
- 24:19Speaker 1: And it's cold inside to the inside. The comedy clubs,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I mean they have the comedy clubs.
- 24:24Speaker 3: The a C.
- 24:26Speaker 1: It just beause there's so many people in there and
- 24:27Speaker 1: they blow it out.
- 24:28Speaker 2: They blow it out, the AC. And I'm not an
- 24:31Speaker 2: AC person.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I don't love the a C. Either. On my face,
- 24:35Speaker 1: I don't mind it because when I get when I
- 24:37Speaker 1: get hot. But I rather the windows open.
- 24:41Speaker 3: I rather have the windows open. I rather have a yep.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I rather have the fan. I like to have the
- 24:48Speaker 3: fan blowing and have the windows wide.
- 24:52Speaker 1: O gratefully to get in the tub and the cold water.
- 24:55Speaker 1: You don't need the AC. Yeah, you know, I.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Gotta tell you so. Back in the day, and I'm
- 25:00Speaker 2: very nostalgic, they used.
- 25:04Speaker 3: To get these ice bricks of ice, big big bake
- 25:08Speaker 3: things of ice. And what they would do is they
- 25:11Speaker 3: would keep it in a certain area that it would
- 25:14Speaker 3: bring with the with the outside.
- 25:17Speaker 2: It would kill the room with the ice.
- 25:19Speaker 3: It wasn't like you needed an air conditioner all today, everybody,
- 25:23Speaker 3: I need the a C.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I can't stay I need the A C.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Makes you sick because it's not circulated air, it actually.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Makes you more right, right right? And this is what
- 25:35Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Okay, in the winter time, when it's cold, we run
- 25:43Speaker 3: for the to get warm and stay heated.
- 25:45Speaker 2: But in the summertime, when it's hot, we want to
- 25:48Speaker 2: get cold.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Can you figure this out?
- 25:52Speaker 1: Is this nuts? I would rather be cold than hot,
- 25:56Speaker 1: I mean hot than cold. Thought I would rather be
- 26:01Speaker 1: called warm than hot because you gave me.
- 26:04Speaker 3: A beautiful night. The other night, I was in front
- 26:06Speaker 3: of the comedy club, the comedy shop. I'm on Bleaker Street,
- 26:10Speaker 3: and I took a stool out so and they're like,
- 26:12Speaker 3: oh man, we are You're gonna help out and try
- 26:14Speaker 3: to get people. I'm like, no, sitting out here because
- 26:18Speaker 3: it's nicer. But you sit out here and you could
- 26:22Speaker 3: enjoy the weather. Do you remember, as a young girl
- 26:27Speaker 3: or support of your life, taking a chair sitting in
- 26:30Speaker 3: front of the house.
- 26:31Speaker 1: I said, stoop. I was a stup creature, creature Stoop
- 26:35Speaker 1: always on stupid people in New York and Brooklyn. Understand
- 26:39Speaker 1: what a stupid is.
- 26:40Speaker 2: That's it. I let me tell you something.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I used to live in a building, and when the daytime,
- 26:45Speaker 3: we'd sit in the backyard. Now we won't go anywhere
- 26:49Speaker 3: near the backyard. I would I don't know what's back
- 26:51Speaker 3: there that I don't want to see. At nighttime, we'd
- 26:55Speaker 3: sit in front of the house and we go down
- 27:00Speaker 3: six o'clock. We'd ride our bikes till about eight. Parents
- 27:03Speaker 3: would be outside with the neighbors. Yeah, get away. Then
- 27:07Speaker 3: we go upstairs.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I sound like that said, you know why, because these
- 27:12Speaker 1: kids are on there.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Oh and I pat the phones. I was doing a
- 27:17Speaker 3: movie once and this lady goes and gets the kids. Said, Mommy,
- 27:22Speaker 3: I need your phone. I need your phone, need your
- 27:25Speaker 3: what you need your phone? Mother?
- 27:29Speaker 2: No, No, I got your tablet for you.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Here.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Mommy got you a tablet. And I'm like, do you
- 27:35Speaker 2: know you're cooking that kids?
- 27:36Speaker 3: When she's gonna do her alphabets and her collars, when
- 27:41Speaker 3: she can't put a number together, and she can't figure.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Out what's going on in her life, and she's not
- 27:46Speaker 2: street smart.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Because today these kids they don't have the we're so educated.
- 27:53Speaker 2: We went to the best.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I believe school they're educated idiots.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Oh where are you guys going with the let's talk.
- 28:01Speaker 3: You don't have street smart. Street smart is Anne.
- 28:08Speaker 1: It's common sense. It's I meant more educated idiots in
- 28:12Speaker 1: this world that have have educations and have Ivy League educations.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And I now, I'll tell you a funny story when
- 28:21Speaker 1: I graduated. When I graduated nursing school, what thirty years ago,
- 28:27Speaker 1: I was me and there was this other girl that
- 28:30Speaker 1: she was the vale vics Oorian. And you know, I
- 28:32Speaker 1: look and talk the way I do, and you know,
- 28:34Speaker 1: so I look like, you know, a cupcake, and people
- 28:37Speaker 1: might not think I'm as smart as I was or
- 28:40Speaker 1: how well I would do in school. And the valedatorian
- 28:43Speaker 1: goes on the stage I'll never forget my to accept
- 28:46Speaker 1: her award. And my professor goes around and says, this
- 28:48Speaker 1: girl is gonna kill somebody because she is she is
- 28:52Speaker 1: not smart swift smart, which she uses common sense because
- 28:56Speaker 1: she's the only book smart. Like she could she could
- 28:59Speaker 1: have worked, she could work in like a like in
- 29:02Speaker 1: like a laboratory maybe, but trying to think of something
- 29:05Speaker 1: quick on your feet, like when you have to be
- 29:07Speaker 1: quick on your feet and when you're working, especially in
- 29:09Speaker 1: my field, if your work a nurse working on a
- 29:12Speaker 1: unit at the point at that time, you have to
- 29:14Speaker 1: think quick on your feet. In this situation. You can't
- 29:17Speaker 1: be worried about how you got to think about the
- 29:20Speaker 1: proper answer. No, you have to have street spots, and
- 29:23Speaker 1: you have to have If.
- 29:24Speaker 3: You don't have streets, wat you are going to go
- 29:26Speaker 3: through life and I feel bad nothing.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Now the generation to come.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I don't know, because what happens the numb, the numb,
- 29:35Speaker 1: the numb.
- 29:36Speaker 3: You thinking, now, so you have kids, you don't have
- 29:40Speaker 3: grandkids now, okay, so when your grandkids are parents and
- 29:46Speaker 3: their kids are possibly getting ready to get married, that's
- 29:50Speaker 3: like probably thirty years from now, twenty something years from now.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Let's say your grandkids, what are they going to offer
- 29:59Speaker 3: two to their kids? They're gonna even be even more
- 30:06Speaker 3: off because they're not gonna know what Sitting on the
- 30:08Speaker 3: stupids playing on music. They don't know what the eighties
- 30:13Speaker 3: was about. Yes, the eighties are gone. We're gonna accept that. God,
- 30:16Speaker 3: But you have to have streets.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Smart.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It's so true.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Smart is the number one.
- 30:21Speaker 3: I always say I have two educations, and my street
- 30:25Speaker 3: education is better than.
- 30:27Speaker 2: My school education.
- 30:28Speaker 1: It's so true. I believe that too. I have both,
- 30:30Speaker 1: and I could say my street education got me through
- 30:34Speaker 1: most of my life.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It got you through to the point where.
- 30:39Speaker 1: It makes you like it builds character.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Character. Like people say to me, you know you're diving,
- 30:46Speaker 3: you push your way through. It's not that I'm pushing.
- 30:50Speaker 1: It's not diving. It's it's knowing what you want and
- 30:53Speaker 1: how and how to get it, that's all. And it
- 30:56Speaker 1: doesn't mean you're doing it in a vicious way. I
- 30:59Speaker 1: know will take people being ambitious. There's no ambition anymore, right, right,
- 31:06Speaker 1: So it's more ambitious now all of a sudden, you are,
- 31:09Speaker 1: Oh what, No, I'm ambitious. I'm a hard worker. This
- 31:12Speaker 1: is what I want, this is what I want to achieve.
- 31:14Speaker 1: That doesn't make me like a conniver. It just makes
- 31:17Speaker 1: me know what I want when I when I when
- 31:19Speaker 1: I want when I want it. That's it.
- 31:22Speaker 3: People today need to snap out of it and they
- 31:25Speaker 3: need to wake up because I.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Think the incident needs to get shut down for a while.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Oh that's not we don't need that.
- 31:33Speaker 1: That.
- 31:33Speaker 3: I don't need no, but I do what they need
- 31:36Speaker 3: to do. And I'm not an educator. I'm not a
- 31:39Speaker 3: I don't want to be like, Oh, Mario's trying to
- 31:41Speaker 3: tell us how to run our children.
- 31:43Speaker 2: You run your children the way you see fit. It's
- 31:45Speaker 2: your children, you had them.
- 31:47Speaker 3: God bless you. I wish you only the best. But
- 31:52Speaker 3: you're giving them a tablet at four years old. It's
- 31:57Speaker 3: an adult would use to go to work with, or
- 32:02Speaker 3: an adult produced to edit and do this. These are
- 32:06Speaker 3: computerized instruments that are made for the mind to do
- 32:11Speaker 3: things that are for and you're giving them with apps
- 32:15Speaker 3: and then they go, Mommy, I need your credit card.
- 32:17Speaker 3: The game is two ninety nine, and the kid doesn't
- 32:19Speaker 3: stop bagging, bragging and banging and bothering the mother, so
- 32:24Speaker 3: she handswered the kid a credit card.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Now the kid's got a credit card on her iPad
- 32:29Speaker 2: and she's she's just wiping and buying and doing things.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Now, if you're doing this to your kid where you're
- 32:35Speaker 3: giving them a thousand dollar computer and you're doing all
- 32:39Speaker 3: this for my age four years old, You know what
- 32:42Speaker 3: I had building blocks, Lego blocks, the ring with the
- 32:48Speaker 3: thing that blink blink, and the round thing.
- 32:52Speaker 2: With the circle. You drop the thing till you build.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Up this maybe a couple of and some bobbies and
- 32:57Speaker 1: that's about it.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Mike Marino, who's a very well known comedian, he talks
- 33:03Speaker 3: about his childhood toys and slip and slide and playing
- 33:08Speaker 3: in the street.
- 33:09Speaker 1: And you know what, because the parents now they're all
- 33:11Speaker 1: helicopter parents. They want their kids in helmets and elbow pants.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I was just talking about this to somebody the other
- 33:17Speaker 1: day too. I'm like, let the kids roll around in
- 33:19Speaker 1: the dirt, let them get hurt. This is what it
- 33:23Speaker 1: is to be a kid. You can't be on top
- 33:25Speaker 1: of him. But yet those are the same parents will
- 33:27Speaker 1: give their kids twenty seven vaccines.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Yeah, they I have somebody they put their kid in
- 33:35Speaker 3: a in a bubble suit.
- 33:37Speaker 2: We don't want Charlie to get hurt. He falls a lot,
- 33:41Speaker 2: so we're gonna just put him in a bubble It
- 33:43Speaker 2: just so protects him.
- 33:44Speaker 3: If he falls, he won't get hurt.
- 33:47Speaker 1: And can you imagine one of us in a bubblesuit
- 33:49Speaker 1: at our age? What would happen to us if we
- 33:51Speaker 1: beat each other up? We would be no, we would
- 33:53Speaker 1: be throwing each other down the stairs, but everybody would
- 33:55Speaker 1: be making fun of us, and we had that right,
- 33:57Speaker 1: but we would be tossing each other.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Time pop at each other's bubbles.
- 34:01Speaker 1: That's who we really works. The second store.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Building, Marrial and and and and listen again. I'm not
- 34:12Speaker 3: I'm not somebody to judge. I don't have children, but if.
- 34:16Speaker 2: That is something that people want to do with you,
- 34:20Speaker 2: I mean.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I'm sure you raised your children with a different outlook
- 34:24Speaker 3: of protection.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I hope I think I did.
- 34:26Speaker 3: But you also want to installed what you had as
- 34:30Speaker 3: a child. Things were different when you were young. Today
- 34:34Speaker 3: you can't puck your call up. I have somebody who goes, oh,
- 34:37Speaker 3: I won't park my car front of my house because
- 34:40Speaker 3: there's a camera watches it. And then in case I'm
- 34:43Speaker 3: and and I'm like, so you get a ticket, you
- 34:46Speaker 3: pay a ticket. Back in the day, we didn't have that.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Back in the day, we left cause at the hydrants,
- 34:52Speaker 3: we left them, left the car, we left it on
- 34:57Speaker 3: top of the sidewalk.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Come find sponsors lay. We had school. The next time.
- 35:01Speaker 3: My phone just left on top of the sidewalk, got
- 35:03Speaker 3: down at seven dury in the morning, went to pocket.
- 35:06Speaker 2: But then things were different.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Yep, you didn't have you'd have cop callers, a lot
- 35:11Speaker 3: of cop calls.
- 35:12Speaker 2: My neighbor she called her husband.
- 35:15Speaker 3: You know what she got him? She dropped a plant,
- 35:18Speaker 3: a full plant in a ceramic pot, a clay called terracotta.
- 35:23Speaker 3: She dropped the puff from the window of cracked the
- 35:26Speaker 3: husband on the head.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Plan didn't killer plant all over the ground.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Then he's feeling this.
- 35:32Speaker 2: That what happened, and the wife that was me And
- 35:37Speaker 2: it's for you. But that's the way it was.
- 35:42Speaker 3: That's the way he was. No.
- 35:44Speaker 1: No, but it's it's so much different. It's sad because
- 35:47Speaker 1: you know what, we had it so much better. Like
- 35:50Speaker 1: we didn't have phones. We left the house at eight
- 35:52Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning on a Saturday. We only came
- 35:55Speaker 1: back for lunch and dinner. That's it. We don't see
- 35:58Speaker 1: no unless we were hungry. We didn't go home hungry.
- 36:02Speaker 1: We didn't do it.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Every sourthing happened. It wasn't our business right today. Everybody
- 36:07Speaker 3: was stood in packs. Do you have that app that
- 36:09Speaker 3: you check if something's what's going on?
- 36:11Speaker 1: And oh the citizen app? I sat up. I can't
- 36:14Speaker 1: take it no more.
- 36:15Speaker 2: My sister is addicted to the citizen app.
- 36:20Speaker 1: She calls me up.
- 36:22Speaker 3: She I got you patrolling the zone where I'm walking.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Shoot out on fifty eight and second, I'm like on
- 36:30Speaker 3: fifty fifty eight and third wrong or be careful because
- 36:34Speaker 3: they might come.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Down that street.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Citizens How did she know what you was? You're you're
- 36:38Speaker 1: on the three sixties, three sixty.
- 36:40Speaker 3: She has me on three sixty. She has me on
- 36:42Speaker 3: the citizen app. And I'm like, she called me up.
- 36:44Speaker 3: She goes, you don't go up em and um and
- 36:47Speaker 3: he's fourteen because there was a violence on him.
- 36:50Speaker 2: You, I mean he's foot to like, where do you
- 36:52Speaker 2: get on?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Oh?
- 36:53Speaker 3: The citizens app.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Just called me.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, she looks at herself is an app,
- 37:01Speaker 3: Like she's looking at like a map like the Bible,
- 37:05Speaker 3: And I'm like, what do you what are you doing?
- 37:07Speaker 2: I gotta check if it's okay for me to go outside.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Really you're gonna allow this? Well, I don't want to
- 37:14Speaker 3: be in the crossfire of anybody's situation.
- 37:19Speaker 2: We had a problem in building once.
- 37:23Speaker 3: My sister goes and gets yeah, like a piece of
- 37:26Speaker 3: wood that we kept the case somebody just in case
- 37:28Speaker 3: we had to just you know, right.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Whack somebody over that we got my sister, I have
- 37:33Speaker 1: I have two golf clubs by my door. That's nice.
- 37:37Speaker 3: You want to go golf, and what she hasn't learned
- 37:40Speaker 3: on the field, you'll learn on somebody's head.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You have a bald like like, I don't even I
- 37:48Speaker 1: don't play golf with the ball. I'll play with your
- 37:50Speaker 1: head if you come through my door.
- 37:51Speaker 3: So she put the sting in one day and she's
- 37:55Speaker 3: going to buy your noise. Bo she's putting the sting.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, now ends up being nothing.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I gotta go. I forget the stings on top of
- 38:06Speaker 2: the door.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I unlocked.
- 38:08Speaker 2: The door opened up, actually right, Jesus.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Allother day she puts it in. She jammed it in
- 38:14Speaker 3: so bad I couldn't get the door open. I'm like,
- 38:18Speaker 3: she's like, pull it out, pull it out, pull it out.
- 38:21Speaker 3: What are you talking to?
- 38:27Speaker 1: The bedroom.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Up?
- 38:30Speaker 2: So I get the hammer.
- 38:32Speaker 3: She goes, she gotta take the ham and go up, up, up,
- 38:35Speaker 3: up up. Things fell down and cracked meat and almost
- 38:39Speaker 3: broke my toe.
- 38:39Speaker 1: And you want to kill it always. I love it.
- 38:43Speaker 1: You love it. That's all right, we still love it.
- 38:44Speaker 1: But imagine like this is what we had that that
- 38:47Speaker 1: was our way of having all arms on our house.
- 38:49Speaker 3: You remember putting the fire hydrant on, of course, remember
- 38:53Speaker 3: pulling the fire alarm all on the phone. We used
- 38:55Speaker 3: to run when you run, yeah, ringing run the door.
- 38:58Speaker 3: We used to call people with no caller ideas it.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Wouldn't pay as refrigerator running, Well, why did you catch it?
- 39:04Speaker 1: Then we used to call them.
- 39:06Speaker 3: We used to do ring them run. We used to
- 39:07Speaker 3: pull the fire alarm on. We had one on the
- 39:10Speaker 3: corner of Bam and you Pee and East ten pulled
- 39:14Speaker 3: the alarm. Everybody would put their hands on. Andy would go,
- 39:16Speaker 3: you ready, but we got them run? So who ran
- 39:19Speaker 3: this way?
- 39:19Speaker 2: Who ran that way? Who ran this way?
- 39:21Speaker 3: And it was me because I ran the slowest. I'd
- 39:23Speaker 3: always get caught ready. Everybody won two or three, and
- 39:27Speaker 3: then I would try to let go because there was
- 39:29Speaker 3: all they would They would.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Pull what do you want to do?
- 39:34Speaker 3: Just as they're ready to lop it out, I let
- 39:36Speaker 3: go and they go.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Alarms going crazy, fire fire, fire, fire, fire.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Fine, And everybody's running all around the street. And here
- 39:50Speaker 3: I'm going, and the guy, excuse me, this officer, you
- 39:58Speaker 3: don't we just framed that alarm? No, because once you
- 40:02Speaker 3: because let me see it, and I got me. I
- 40:04Speaker 3: got a small hand off. For certain a week, I
- 40:07Speaker 3: weighed thirty two pounds when I was nine years old.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Until I was too fed, and I was like, I
- 40:13Speaker 2: can't reach and I can't.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I don't at the end, didn't know that I had
- 40:17Speaker 3: two horns coming out of my head. You still remember
- 40:23Speaker 3: back and then we'd go up to a building and
- 40:24Speaker 3: we'd put the hand all the buttons.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Yes, and you'd ring.
- 40:32Speaker 2: And everybody goes.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, buzz people buzzing in and and everybody's making noise.
- 40:40Speaker 1: And see that was fun. And we always found each
- 40:45Speaker 1: other without We didn't have a cell phone, we didn't
- 40:47Speaker 1: have a people had nothing. We all found each other
- 40:51Speaker 1: at the park or we'd be in the school yard,
- 40:55Speaker 1: full yard or the park and we'd every night we'd
- 40:58Speaker 1: find each other. Nobody would ever missed the pop. I
- 41:01Speaker 1: grew up in hamber.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Beach also like we we like. We had pea Park.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Everybody knew if we're going to meet a pea park.
- 41:08Speaker 1: We hung out at Charles Park, We hung out in
- 41:09Speaker 1: the school yard. We hung out at two or seven,
- 41:12Speaker 1: or we hung out at the bow O the Big Bow.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Our was on Crossway. World War It was like an arcade.
- 41:17Speaker 1: So we always knew each other.
- 41:19Speaker 4: But I what I was in Richmond Hill first and
- 41:23Speaker 4: forty people wanted to play that quarter right, yeah, yeah,
- 41:26Speaker 4: I remember.
- 41:27Speaker 3: My friend's like, I don't have any money. Can I
- 41:29Speaker 3: split the page game with you? I just need a
- 41:32Speaker 3: little fun.
- 41:32Speaker 2: What am I gonna do?
- 41:33Speaker 3: You know what?
- 41:34Speaker 2: I'm older than all of you. For your people. You
- 41:37Speaker 2: can't go ahey have you turned you pin? You pull
- 41:40Speaker 2: one pig, poul.
- 41:40Speaker 3: You blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
- 41:42Speaker 2: You go, you go, and you go and tempt on
- 41:44Speaker 2: the side.

- 41:50Speaker 3: and then blue put in here game mobile.
- 41:56Speaker 1: But how much fun did we have?
- 41:58Speaker 3: We had a lot of fun because we were We
- 42:02Speaker 3: were raised on the street. You know, we we we
- 42:08Speaker 3: the fire hydrant. Today you open a fire hydrant. Oh
- 42:11Speaker 3: my god, look at that. They opened the fire hydrant
- 42:15Speaker 3: was water. They're gonna have no water for a fire.
- 42:19Speaker 3: There used to be somebody in my neighbor.
- 42:21Speaker 2: You're doing a bid thing.
- 42:23Speaker 3: God's gonna punish you if there's a fire and there's
- 42:25Speaker 3: no water. I hope I'm gonna and I'm like give
- 42:29Speaker 3: me a favorite, go go away, go see what, because
- 42:32Speaker 3: that's what we were. We had to head for the
- 42:34Speaker 3: for the fun of the things with the like the sprinkler.
- 42:39Speaker 3: So one of my neighbors would come out, he scrub
- 42:43Speaker 3: underneath the farting, give it the soap and wash it out.
- 42:46Speaker 3: If he starts sending in the more scrub. And then
- 42:49Speaker 3: my mother we do like a small kind of barbecue.

- 42:55Speaker 3: kids out there, bicycles and all everybody.
- 42:59Speaker 1: They don't do that any more.
- 43:00Speaker 3: And then we'd have a little burghers and hot dogs
- 43:03Speaker 3: and and and and a fire hydrot and and we.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And we had fun and we had no fun. No
- 43:11Speaker 1: quarter time.

- 44:00Speaker 3: put air in and blow the bubble. It was so
- 44:03Speaker 3: let me blow my bubble weekend.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm like.
- 44:07Speaker 1: It was a little provocative what they said, though, how.

- 48:40Speaker 1: But he gave me hot pudding from a pot, brought
- 48:43Speaker 1: it over to me. I'm sitting and eating it with
- 48:45Speaker 1: a towel out of the pil like an animal, with
- 48:47Speaker 1: my cat on me, and I'm going, Jesus, this is
- 48:50Speaker 1: what my life has become. Cats and putting. It went
- 48:52Speaker 1: from from diamonds and parties to cats and pudding, and
- 48:55Speaker 1: then I thought it was a good a good name
- 48:57Speaker 1: for a show because it's everything. We talk about, everything
- 48:59Speaker 1: from cats the pudding. So what do you think to
- 49:02Speaker 1: double double double edge the pudding?
- 49:05Speaker 3: No, is that what that is?
- 49:10Speaker 1: That's that's what that's. Well, I have a I have
- 49:12Speaker 1: a black cat, but this is not any of my cats.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Noyle. No, so you're not proud enough.
- 49:20Speaker 1: I should get the pictures of that. I gotta be
- 49:22Speaker 1: honest with you.
- 49:23Speaker 3: I'm not a cat person. No, I mean, I gotta say.
- 49:27Speaker 3: I I hate to bust out. Okay, I respect you,
- 49:30Speaker 3: I love you.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I think you're amazing, but I'm not a cat person.
- 49:33Speaker 1: You know, I never was until recently.
- 49:36Speaker 2: I tell you why. I feel like we're going to
- 49:40Speaker 2: discuss one other thing real quick.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
- 49:43Speaker 3: One thing I don't like them is to meet. I
- 49:46Speaker 3: don't find them. It's a useful pet. They're good in
- 49:50Speaker 3: the house.
- 49:51Speaker 2: They're there.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Because you don't think they were shromli as dogs.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Right dogs?
- 49:57Speaker 1: You know what dogs?
- 49:58Speaker 2: You could you could snuggle up with, roll up to it,
- 50:02Speaker 2: you could take it.
- 50:03Speaker 1: It depends on the cat. It depends on the cat.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Are you going to take your cat out on the leash?
- 50:08Speaker 3: I want to walk my cat, But you wouldn't walk
- 50:10Speaker 3: your cat because nobody would.
- 50:12Speaker 1: But I don't even I wouldn't even want to walk
- 50:13Speaker 1: the dog. I wouldn't want to walk next.
- 50:16Speaker 3: But I have friends that are in their thirties now,
- 50:19Speaker 3: and I'm talking about male friends that are and I'm like,
- 50:23Speaker 3: did you lose your mind. He's got a backpack with
- 50:28Speaker 3: the cat in the backpack, and I'm like.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Really, I don't think I would go that far to
- 50:32Speaker 1: carry my cat around, that's all.
- 50:35Speaker 3: And I don't want to. I don't want to have
- 50:38Speaker 3: anybody hate me for this. But it's like seeing adults
- 50:43Speaker 3: push a carriage with that. To me, it's like it's
- 50:50Speaker 3: like that you are taking that dog to the next level.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Because if you had a kid, you had a kid
- 50:59Speaker 3: and the kid goesmy can they go in the caris no,
- 51:03Speaker 3: you have to walk walk, But the dog you put
- 51:06Speaker 3: in a carriage.
- 51:07Speaker 1: That doesn't make sense. That bothers me.
- 51:09Speaker 2: I gotta tell you.
- 51:10Speaker 1: That's why I have a cat, because I don't want
- 51:11Speaker 1: to walk it. See there, just answer my question.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Dog that's small and fluffy, you could hold, you could
- 51:19Speaker 3: put it. I see people carrying it in a harness
- 51:22Speaker 3: or I like the little doggies they're going said the
- 51:24Speaker 3: pocket book, and.
- 51:26Speaker 1: But I think that's so good.
- 51:27Speaker 2: They take poops and.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Begs this ship bag, what did you eat? Oh my god,
- 51:37Speaker 3: I gotta wipe it at Oh God, Jesus.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I think that that's terrible. I can't tell me people.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Dogs are meant to be in the house, they're meant
- 51:48Speaker 3: to walk my wont.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Jeff Oh, she agrees. He definitely agrees. What do you
- 51:58Speaker 1: do if somebody is hackling you out of out?
- 52:01Speaker 3: It depends on.
- 52:01Speaker 2: What they're saying.
- 52:03Speaker 3: You know. Some comics like they yell back at them,
- 52:08Speaker 3: or they'll just say, hey, it's I got control of
- 52:10Speaker 3: the mic if you whatever, And I.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Don't like that.
- 52:15Speaker 3: I try to I'm not good responding because if I respond,
- 52:20Speaker 3: it could turn into something that will cause me to
- 52:23Speaker 3: get thrown out of a comedy club for response, because
- 52:26Speaker 3: these are their customers. Now, there are people that just
- 52:30Speaker 3: want to have conversations. I've betten at a show where
- 52:34Speaker 3: I'm on stage and there's a table for a party,
- 52:38Speaker 3: but they just they're talking like they're in their own house,
- 52:41Speaker 3: and I'm like, excuse me, uh, excuse me, And I'm
- 52:46Speaker 3: up peered.
- 52:47Speaker 2: You don't want to listen. I mean, there's a lobby.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I mean, I try to be polite and I try
- 52:52Speaker 3: not to respond with profanity or anger or being bullied.
- 52:57Speaker 3: You know, I don't want to be naisty because it
- 52:59Speaker 3: all will end up hurting.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Her at the end. Right, So do you handle that
- 53:04Speaker 1: that's a nice way to handle it, though she handle
- 53:06Speaker 1: it more in a a diplomatic.
- 53:08Speaker 2: If they answer stuff like, you know, like are you
- 53:13Speaker 2: a guy or a girl?
- 53:15Speaker 3: And I say whatever you like I am, or what
- 53:21Speaker 3: is your preference in animic sir, thank you, you answered
- 53:24Speaker 3: your question. This is not the White House Conference. This
- 53:28Speaker 3: is Maryobosco on stage. But I try to handle it
- 53:32Speaker 3: to a point because heckling is a bad thing, especially
- 53:37Speaker 3: when they're intoxicated. The more they drink, the more they
- 53:42Speaker 3: feel like they want to be part of this show.
- 53:45Speaker 3: Like I was at a comedy club and one lady
- 53:48Speaker 3: says to the owner or to the guy.
- 53:51Speaker 2: I want to be in the front row. I can't
- 53:52Speaker 2: see in the back and I can't hear it, really,
- 53:55Speaker 2: so please put me back there.
- 53:56Speaker 3: We know from the past. We know from the past
- 54:01Speaker 3: that she knows she just wants to interact with. So
- 54:06Speaker 3: what we do is we right away we know that
- 54:08Speaker 3: she's coming because you could tell where we already ever
- 54:10Speaker 3: know list misses such and such pain pain in the
- 54:15Speaker 3: p I A p I A. So we put reserve
- 54:18Speaker 3: on all the front tables. This way, she goes, I
- 54:21Speaker 3: want that to sorry that that's reserved. It was prereserved.
- 54:26Speaker 3: That's a reserve. Oh so were you gonna put me
- 54:29Speaker 3: back there? No? No, no, we'll put you right here.
- 54:31Speaker 3: So then in case it can be controlled. When they're
- 54:36Speaker 3: up front, they and they drink that they can't handle
- 54:40Speaker 3: the Well, let me tell you, why can't I come
- 54:44Speaker 3: up there?
- 54:44Speaker 2: Oh, Charlie, you didn't buy me anything for.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Dinner to night, And I'm like, excuse me? Would you
- 54:51Speaker 3: like to mic job? It's like would you like this?
- 54:56Speaker 2: Such?
- 54:57Speaker 3: I mean, it doesn't happen at often, and I'm getting
- 55:01Speaker 3: stronger on handling it. But it's a very compliment, complex,
- 55:06Speaker 3: complex next thing situation, because you do get it most times,
- 55:11Speaker 3: like on a Friday night. They're young kids, yeah, and
- 55:15Speaker 3: they're just yelling things out that you're step random.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Right, because they just want attention at this point.
- 55:20Speaker 2: They want attention.
- 55:21Speaker 3: But when women that are in their fifties and they're
- 55:23Speaker 3: doing that, that's yeah, that's a little like, honey, your
- 55:27Speaker 3: husband's not good.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Giving it to you. You have no life, lady that
- 55:32Speaker 1: you're doing this right now?
- 55:36Speaker 3: What's that coupon day at the supermarket? Attention on shoppers?
- 55:41Speaker 3: The coupons are.
- 55:42Speaker 1: In special specialist on nowadays.
- 55:48Speaker 3: I gotta go, we gotta go, gotta go, gotta go.
- 55:50Speaker 3: Give me, gimme, give me. Some people buy eighty cans
- 55:53Speaker 3: of torna fish because they are fifty cents on.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Sc anyway, because they don't use them all, so it
- 55:59Speaker 1: doesn't make sense. So well, you know what, that's a
- 56:01Speaker 1: good way to handle people. I think, I think, what
- 56:03Speaker 1: you what you uh? You got to handle them back
- 56:06Speaker 1: with you or go back at them.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Recently, I had a Mason. I think I was a
- 56:12Speaker 3: heckler when I came to your shop because I was scared.
- 56:15Speaker 3: I recently had a facial.
- 56:17Speaker 1: Oh yes, how is your face? How was your facial?
- 56:21Speaker 1: In my shop? That's what I want in my office.
- 56:23Speaker 2: It was hydd hydro facial hydro facial. I loved it.
- 56:29Speaker 2: I was scared because I felt like that metal.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Tube was like.
- 56:34Speaker 1: That's a micro drum abrasion, but it.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Suction and I felt like it was pulling something, like
- 56:41Speaker 3: it was ripping something off my face.
- 56:43Speaker 2: And I was like, I was like, I don't know
- 56:45Speaker 2: if it was the metal ring.
- 56:47Speaker 3: It felt like the metal like you know, like as
- 56:48Speaker 3: if this thing is not here and it's just a
- 56:51Speaker 3: metal scrape.
- 56:51Speaker 1: And along, Well that's what it's supposed to do it's
- 56:53Speaker 1: supposed to but it was very hydration.
- 56:57Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 56:58Speaker 1: And one thing it looks great.
- 57:00Speaker 3: One thing I like that I use it. Didn't use
- 57:02Speaker 3: it today because I used it yesterday. I try to
- 57:04Speaker 3: use it every day is the gentle cleansing.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Love my gentle cleanser. Everybody goes see it on my website.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Gentle cleans are adulty aesthetics.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Yes.
- 57:16Speaker 3: One thing I liked about is most clean, most things
- 57:19Speaker 3: that we've bought products.
- 57:21Speaker 2: It irritates me, and this one did it automatically.
- 57:25Speaker 3: I feel like it burns and then I have to
- 57:27Speaker 3: rip and h my face upon And this year I
- 57:31Speaker 3: only use like a little bit like this enough just
- 57:34Speaker 3: to get into my face across my face, eyes ears down,
- 57:39Speaker 3: and then I go on and it feels nothing like,
- 57:43Speaker 3: no sensation, no ith, no burn, no.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Pinching, because it's a gentle cleansing. Gentle I'm so glad
- 57:50Speaker 1: you love it. I don't know how to send you more.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Yes, well I'll be rating, thank you.
- 57:56Speaker 1: You bet you better be rating me on my site,
- 57:59Speaker 1: and you better be rating me on Yelp and rerating
- 58:01Speaker 1: me on.
- 58:02Speaker 3: I'm man rating meaning robbing, robbing me, Okay, he's going
- 58:06Speaker 3: to be robbing me instead of random. I will definitely,
- 58:12Speaker 3: definitely definitely rate your shop and rate you. And I
- 58:15Speaker 3: do want to tell people this is my camera. I
- 58:17Speaker 3: do want to tell people that if you're looking for
- 58:20Speaker 3: the best best facial forget with what when they have
- 58:25Speaker 3: that all those kind of facials, the mud miss, the
- 58:28Speaker 3: yellow miss, the green miss, or they have that all
- 58:31Speaker 3: the stuff you need hydration, it's the best facial, right,
- 58:36Speaker 3: I think it is. When you say good good facial
- 58:40Speaker 3: would be that people are spending hundreds and hundreds.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Of this is the best, and it's it's it's it's
- 58:46Speaker 1: it's a good price, and it's it works and it
- 58:49Speaker 1: works and it all look. He loved that. He looks amazing,
- 58:53Speaker 1: and I like the I'm going to make you do
