A 41-year-old man, Matthew Susmilch, fled with his 4-year-old daughter last Saturday, triggering an AMBER Alert after police believed he was armed and holed up in an apartment. An overnight, multi-agency search ensued, culminating in the safe recovery of the child before 2 AM Sunday — unharmed and reunited with her family.
