- 1:48Speaker 1: People we Meet on Vacation, and we're gonna start with
- 1:51Speaker 1: a synopsis. Poppy wants to explore the world and Alex
- 1:56Speaker 1: prefers to stay home with a good book. But somehow
- 1:59Speaker 1: they are the very best to friends. They live far apart,
- 2:02Speaker 1: but for a decade they have spent one week of
- 2:04Speaker 1: summer vacation together. Brett Haley directed People We Meet on Vacation.
- 2:09Speaker 1: He has nineteen previous directing credits, including The Hero, Hearts,
- 2:13Speaker 1: Beat Loud, and All the Bright Places, and is known
- 2:17Speaker 1: for warm, character driven storytelling. Have you seen any of
- 2:20Speaker 1: those movies?
- 2:21Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I kind of think maybe I've seen All the Bright Places.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It was on Netflix.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I may have seen it. I definitely have read
- 2:30Speaker 2: the book.
- 2:30Speaker 1: The movie is adapted from the best selling novel by
- 2:32Speaker 1: Emily Henry. The screenplay comes from Eulan Kuang, Amos Vernon
- 2:36Speaker 1: and Nunzio Run Daza Fun Hallmark Crossover. Yulan Quang also
- 2:40Speaker 1: wrote a teleplay for the twenty twenty fan favorite Love
- 2:44Speaker 1: on Iceland. I have no idea why it says fan favorite.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I looked up Love on Iceland. I was like, I
- 2:50Speaker 1: don't know these two actors in this movie, and I've
- 2:53Speaker 1: reviewed a ton of Hallmark movies hundreds and hundreds. Yes,
- 2:57Speaker 1: Amos Vernon and Nunzio run Daza previously wrote together on
- 3:02Speaker 1: Hotel Transylvania Transformania. Have you ever seen that movie? Well,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I think that might be like a series because we've
- 3:10Speaker 1: seen all the Hotel Transylvania MOVIESW Yeah, they're so cute,
- 3:15Speaker 1: you know, Adam Sandler, Selena Gome maybe seen the first one.
- 3:20Speaker 2: They're adorable. We like them. But I think Transformanium might
- 3:25Speaker 2: be a series. I don't know.
- 3:27Speaker 1: WELLOK. A former Homewark hater also current animated series Hater,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Animated Everything Hater, Yeah, pretty much, yeah.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Hater in general.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Emily Vader stars as Poppy and with seventeen acting credits,
- 3:43Speaker 1: including the lead role in the Amazon Prime series My
- 3:46Speaker 1: Lady Jane. She's already being called by some as the
- 3:50Speaker 1: next big thing. She's so cute in My Lady Jane. Oh,
- 3:54Speaker 1: this is a series I'm not familiar with. No, and
- 3:56Speaker 1: I don't know if you would like it.
- 3:59Speaker 2: It's definitely not set in the present day.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Again general hater, but it's cute and based on a book. Also,
- 4:06Speaker 1: Tom Blythe plays Alex. He has sixteen acting credits, most
- 4:10Speaker 1: notably starring as the lead and Billy the Kid and
- 4:13Speaker 1: as Cora Leanna Snow in The Hunger Games The Ballad
- 4:15Speaker 1: of Songbirds and Snakes. He too, was recognized as one
- 4:19Speaker 1: to watch in Hollywood Worth noting My Lady Jane was canceled.
- 4:23Speaker 2: After the first season, so if you're gonna watch, know.
- 4:26Speaker 1: That too bad. Sarah Catherine Hook plays fiance Sarah. Her
- 4:31Speaker 1: previous work includes The White Lotus and the short lived
- 4:34Speaker 1: reboot of Cruel Intentions. Miles Heiser plays David. You likely
- 4:38Speaker 1: recognize Miles for his role as Drew on Parenthood or
- 4:41Speaker 1: his roles as Alex on Thirteen Reasons Why. He recently
- 4:45Speaker 1: starred in the canceled Too Soon series.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Boots, which I really liked.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You have thoughts about it being canceled after one season? Yeah, rude, Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Jamila Jamil plays Boss Swampna. She's widely recognized for her
- 5:00Speaker 1: as to Haney on The Good Place, Lucy and Laviscount
- 5:03Speaker 1: plays Trey and needs no introduction for Emily in Paris Fans,
- 5:07Speaker 1: where he's best known as Alfie Lucas Gage plays Buck
- 5:11Speaker 1: and is best known for his appearances in Euphoria and
- 5:13Speaker 1: The White Lotus. Alan Ruck, Molly Shannon, and Ian Porter
- 5:17Speaker 1: also appear. Let's take a quick break before we come
- 5:20Speaker 1: back with our first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what is your
- 5:31Speaker 1: first impression of people we meet on vacation. It's not
- 5:34Speaker 1: a hot take, but I did think this would be
- 5:39Speaker 1: better suited as a limited series.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, My first impression is, as ever, the book
- 5:45Speaker 2: is better than the movie.
- 5:46Speaker 1: That's when I've read on read it. But that doesn't
- 5:48Speaker 1: mean I didn't like it. Well, okay, so you read
- 5:52Speaker 1: the book just recently.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I read the book years ago.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I have started rereading it.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I'm like halfway through.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But but in rereading it, many memories have been triggered.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I'm going to talk about one very specific memory.
- 6:09Speaker 1: And yes, now, I went into it completely blind. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: don't know anything about the book. I have no expectations.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Like I was like, Okay, this is a cute rom com. Yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 1: so I am curious about like the things I liked
- 6:22Speaker 1: and the things I wished for. If they're similar to
- 6:28Speaker 1: yours as some PEO has read the book, Yes, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: I think those are two very separate experiences because I
- 6:35Speaker 1: think overall I did like this.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Let me just get that out of the way.
- 6:39Speaker 1: But I do think it's two very different experiences, watching
- 6:42Speaker 1: this on its own and watching it comparing it to
- 6:45Speaker 1: the book, because I think I might have liked it
- 6:49Speaker 1: more if I hadn't known that there was more to
- 6:53Speaker 1: be had.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Let's talk.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We did like Okay, we talked about it a little
- 6:57Speaker 1: bit in our news and notes. But Emily Bader is
- 6:59Speaker 1: an absolutely delight. I've seen so much chatter about her
- 7:04Speaker 1: since this came out.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I love it.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Someone asked us she was tired from carrying this entire
- 7:08Speaker 1: movie on her back. She's fun and funny and quirky,
- 7:12Speaker 1: super watchable. I love when she gets vulnerable, talking about
- 7:16Speaker 1: how she keeps constantly moving on and she feels the
- 7:18Speaker 1: need to be doing something new all the time as
- 7:20Speaker 1: a defense mechanism from people finding her to be too much.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I really loved her.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I have loved her too. She's totally new to me.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I enjoyed what she brought. I liked her energy, that
- 7:36Speaker 1: she brings to Poppy. Yeah, I like the character of
- 7:39Speaker 1: Poppy little frenetic, but like, I didn't find her irritating
- 7:44Speaker 1: at all. No, I thought she was like endearing. Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: and as someone who is hashtag no fun yeah, super.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I liked her because she's someone I could never be exactly.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I kind of wish I was that kind of free
- 7:59Speaker 1: spirit actly exactly, never going to be me, but thest
- 8:03Speaker 1: one to watch. Maybe that's the appeal. I think that's yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: because as much as we know the well, we know
- 8:12Speaker 1: some of the backstory about why she is the way
- 8:15Speaker 1: she is. But you know, she didn't have the greatest childhood.
- 8:20Speaker 1: She was teased and she was bullied, and she has
- 8:22Speaker 1: all these other things going on, and she has some insecurities,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but she is so much herself.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Which I love.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Did you like tom Blythe You know, I think it's
- 8:32Speaker 1: really interesting because I saw someone say he's so boring. Ook.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I think tom Blythe was I think he was boring.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Hold on, Okay, it is your thoughts. Alex is a
- 8:42Speaker 1: little uptight, Alex is very structured. Yeah, I'm Alex me too.
- 8:48Speaker 1: When she when she's like you hate everything, I thought,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I don't hate everything, but I do have some strong
- 8:54Speaker 1: opinions about they.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Huh.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Look, I think.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Tom Blythe's portrayal of Alilex was well done. He is
- 9:01Speaker 1: supposed to be the foil to Poppy. Yeah, he's he's
- 9:06Speaker 1: you know, we see him loosen up, we see him
- 9:08Speaker 1: be his most true self with her.
- 9:12Speaker 2: But yeah, he is a little stiff, I think intentionally, Yeah,
- 9:17Speaker 2: I think so too. I don't think.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Well, it's funny because like, is tom blythemooring or is
- 9:24Speaker 1: the character of Alex Bourn. Yeah, tom Blythe again also.
- 9:29Speaker 2: New to me.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I thought it was kind of an interesting choice. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: was like, Oh, he's fine until he takes a shirt off.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That until the dance scene in New Orleans, and I
- 9:41Speaker 1: was like, Okay.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I get the appeal.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Uh huh. Yes, the shirt off too works as well.
- 9:47Speaker 2: You know the shirt off scene is.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I sound like a horny old woman. The only reason
- 9:54Speaker 1: I say the shirt off scene is it's unexpected. You
- 9:57Speaker 1: don't expect him to look like that.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And then the dance scene really is the solidifying moment
- 10:05Speaker 1: for me too, because he's got the moves, he's got
- 10:07Speaker 1: the moves. He leans into it. Huh sexy. Yeah, it's funny.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It's fun You want to scream at the screen for
- 10:15Speaker 1: them to just kiss already. Yeah, uh huh. And it's
- 10:18Speaker 1: a fun callback to the Alexander Saxophone. Forever your girl
- 10:23Speaker 1: as a Paula Abdul fan myself. Although although don't go
- 10:28Speaker 1: see her in concert now because she just you know,
- 10:31Speaker 1: lip syncs and dances.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Term looks good.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Though.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Girl can move, still can move.
- 10:36Speaker 1: She's a lot older than I am.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Still can move.
- 10:38Speaker 1: She looks fan frea fantastic But just listen to the
- 10:40Speaker 1: CD at home. That dance scene was an absolute highlight
- 10:44Speaker 1: of this movie. I agree, I absolutely agree, and was unexpected.
- 10:48Speaker 1: It plays out in the book like that as well.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I don't remember, I don't remember You're not there yet,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and I don't remember that specific scene. I like the
- 10:59Speaker 1: structure of this movie, the present day, back in time format,
- 11:03Speaker 1: moving through the different summers. I thought it kept the
- 11:06Speaker 1: story moving and it gives context to like their relationship
- 11:11Speaker 1: over time.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I have wishes about it.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Sure.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I also liked we have like a.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Pretty stacked cast. Oh literally have the exact same adjectives
- 11:22Speaker 1: stacked in my notes. We have some like veterans supporting players,
- 11:27Speaker 1: but then we get like Lucas Gage, the Alfie guy
- 11:30Speaker 1: from Emily in Paris, Miles Heiser, a lot of recognizable talent.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I have some wishes about.
- 11:39Speaker 2: The cast as well.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I'll say here. I just they weren't like totally built
- 11:43Speaker 1: out like these are to me, like big name actors
- 11:47Speaker 1: that they could have used more substance. Yeah, Miles really
- 11:52Speaker 1: is the only one who gets his due I think
- 11:55Speaker 1: in this although I think they do enough with Jimmy
- 11:57Speaker 1: l Jamil's character, but it is the parents of it.
- 12:01Speaker 2: All is in my wishes.
- 12:03Speaker 1: But it was just so fun to see them on screen.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And Miles Heiser I did just watch and love Boots
- 12:09Speaker 1: and so I hadn't seen him in anything since Parenthood,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and so to see him back on my screen as
- 12:15Speaker 1: a very different character has been very enjoyable. I do
- 12:19Speaker 1: have to say I will get into my wishes, but
- 12:22Speaker 1: I did enjoy seeing this book come to life. And
- 12:24Speaker 1: I do think the book had more depth and detail,
- 12:26Speaker 1: because that's the difference between books and movies. You can
- 12:29Speaker 1: do that, there's time for it. I did still think
- 12:32Speaker 1: this was a really fun and escapist way to spend
- 12:34Speaker 1: two hours. It hits those rom coom notes for me,
- 12:39Speaker 1: it's real splashy and fun to look at. The characters
- 12:43Speaker 1: of Poppy and Alice are kind of swoony at times,
- 12:46Speaker 1: and you're rooting for them, and I think the two
- 12:49Speaker 1: actors have a ton of on screen chemistry. Yeah, so
- 12:53Speaker 1: I'm in favor of all of that. We are a
- 12:56Speaker 1: Hallmark podcast typically, and this movie does lean into a
- 13:02Speaker 1: classic trope. Hmmm, she's annoying, he's boring. Opposites attract sort
- 13:07Speaker 1: of a grumpy sunshine situation. Yeah. I mean once they
- 13:11Speaker 1: like stop fighting like that dynamic to me, then that's
- 13:16Speaker 1: when we really like start to take off. I don't
- 13:18Speaker 1: enjoy like when two people don't get along. I'd rather
- 13:20Speaker 1: be like rooting for them, like let's get to it
- 13:23Speaker 1: all right. I enjoy the process of I want to
- 13:25Speaker 1: watch them take it to the next step. Yeah, the
- 13:27Speaker 1: will they or won't yay of it all? Yeah, that's
- 13:30Speaker 1: fun to watch not she bugs him and he bugs her? Great, agree,
- 13:35Speaker 1: They do move past that quickly quickly in the movie.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Are you ready to talk wishes?
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you touched on it in your first impression, and
- 13:43Speaker 1: I think all of my wishes will lean into this.
- 13:46Speaker 1: This would have been best served as a limited series. Agree,
- 13:50Speaker 1: there's just and I think there are certain elements of
- 13:53Speaker 1: this specifically this book. Specifically, the book is called People
- 13:57Speaker 1: We Meet on Vacation. The vacation element is a big
- 14:00Speaker 1: piece of it. We get so many more of their vacations,
- 14:04Speaker 1: we get so much more of everything really in the book.
- 14:06Speaker 1: But there's not enough vacation for me, There's not enough.
- 14:10Speaker 1: You're building this backstory, I agree, seeing all of the
- 14:14Speaker 1: time they had to build this friendship, but it all
- 14:16Speaker 1: fell apart over the course of one trip, and some
- 14:20Speaker 1: of the storylines that they touch on are so much
- 14:23Speaker 1: deeper in the book. When I got to the scene
- 14:25Speaker 1: in the movie where Poppy is sick and she has
- 14:27Speaker 1: to miss her trip, that triggered a deep held memory
- 14:30Speaker 1: for me of a book scene that I could not
- 14:33Speaker 1: have placed until watching this. In the book, that scene
- 14:38Speaker 1: is so much richer, She's so much sicker. He's there
- 14:42Speaker 1: for a full week taking care of her. It's just
- 14:44Speaker 1: this real lovely caretaking. It is stuck with me for years. Hmm.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Couldn't hand the book that it was in until now.
- 14:51Speaker 1: But there are things like that, we meet Poppy's parents
- 14:57Speaker 1: played by Molly Shannon and Alan Rock and they do
- 14:59Speaker 1: a nice job that moment of kind of letting us
- 15:01Speaker 1: know who they are.
- 15:03Speaker 2: But there's more to.
- 15:04Speaker 1: It because Poppy in the book was bullied because her parents,
- 15:06Speaker 1: like for a number of reasons, but part of it
- 15:08Speaker 1: her parents were weird, and her friends thought her parents
- 15:10Speaker 1: were weird, and she couldn't have people over because her
- 15:12Speaker 1: parents were weird. There's just there's just so much more.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I didn't they didn't strike me as weird, just like, well,
- 15:20Speaker 1: the mom comes in and she's like, here's this giant
- 15:23Speaker 1: Costco size box, look at it. But that's like funny too.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Sure, they're a lot like Poppy.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, some context would definitely add to it. Yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 1: And I think they do a good job of telling
- 15:36Speaker 1: that story with the casting of these characters. I mean,
- 15:38Speaker 1: casting Molly Shannon in that role, with that before she
- 15:41Speaker 1: even opened her mouths says a lot totally. And Alan Ruck,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I mean people of a certain age can't look at him,
- 15:47Speaker 1: and Nazee Cameron totally. So I think that the casting
- 15:52Speaker 1: does a lot of the work for them.
- 15:54Speaker 2: What wishes do you have.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Like you said, my biggest one is I wish I
- 15:58Speaker 1: had actually seen all the summers, even a montage, Yes,
- 16:03Speaker 1: even a montage. I just like, we have like all
- 16:09Speaker 1: this big story crammed into this, you know, hour and
- 16:13Speaker 1: forty five minute movie. Just give it a little room
- 16:17Speaker 1: to breathe. I just think it would have worked so
- 16:19Speaker 1: much better as a limited series, where we could have
- 16:23Speaker 1: really looked closer at like the vacations. We just got
- 16:29Speaker 1: like whiff of vacations, like and honestly, I was like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: did I miss something? Like did they go on a
- 16:34Speaker 1: bunch of vacations or did they not? Like well, yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: And that's the hard thing because this book takes place
- 16:39Speaker 1: over so many years, and it's hard to communicate that
- 16:43Speaker 1: in the movie, the adaptation series, not the movie. The
- 16:49Speaker 1: series One Day is so good because that's the same
- 16:52Speaker 1: situation these friends they meet up on the same day
- 16:56Speaker 1: every year, and that they take the time to tell
- 16:59Speaker 1: that story over a number of episodes because you need
- 17:03Speaker 1: that backstory, yeah, to root for them. Agree. Agree. I
- 17:07Speaker 1: mentioned that I thought the oh maybe we already talked
- 17:11Speaker 1: about it, but the supporting cast, to me, they needed
- 17:15Speaker 1: more depth honestly across the board in this like we're
- 17:20Speaker 1: told things about Poppy, we're told things about Alex, but
- 17:23Speaker 1: like they don't show them u hu. That's like one
- 17:26Speaker 1: of my biggest pet peeves with movies of this type.
- 17:30Speaker 1: And then finally the beach ending at the end did
- 17:32Speaker 1: not land for me. I can't even remember how it ends.
- 17:35Speaker 1: They're just on those two loungers like at the ocean,
- 17:37Speaker 1: and like it ties back to like the opening scene,
- 17:40Speaker 1: but like it's it's not very swoony, it's not very romantic.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I expected like this big. They're just like now we're
- 17:47Speaker 1: just like two people. Like it just felt very It
- 17:51Speaker 1: felt way more Alex than it did Poppy in that scene.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It just kind of a little muted, especially after what
- 18:00Speaker 1: we're supposed to believe like this big historical romance between them.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yes, that's luck. Did you see that?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Nothing jumped out at me in particular. I do have one,
- 18:13Speaker 1: But you know, we review a lot of Hallmark movies
- 18:15Speaker 1: and there's always like continuity issues or like random things
- 18:18Speaker 1: we see. I think that comes from like the speed
- 18:23Speaker 1: of those movies are filmed and mistakes are made. In
- 18:27Speaker 1: a movie like this, I think you have more time
- 18:30Speaker 1: and bigger budget and people on set to track this stuff.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So I didn't see any.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Like digit see that true?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Did you see that The only one I have is
- 18:40Speaker 1: when there were New Orleans and this is the world
- 18:42Speaker 1: does whole dance scene takes place, It feels very light
- 18:44Speaker 1: on extras, Like to me, I feel like a bar
- 18:48Speaker 1: like that would would be.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Packed with people.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all. Like you said, my digity thats are
- 18:53Speaker 1: not of the error variety. But the end credits had
- 18:56Speaker 1: the same look and branding as the original.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Book cover, which I appreciated.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It's a nice nod to the people who read the book.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Mollie Shannon, who plays Poppy's mom, she makes a banana
- 19:07Speaker 1: condom joke and I'm shocked that you didn't make the
- 19:09Speaker 1: connection to her. Care ever been kiss? Yeah, I got
- 19:11Speaker 1: it when I watched it.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yes, I did. One of my favorite movies.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Uh.
- 19:17Speaker 2: And they make some nominal changes in the book.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It's very interesting, like the Poppy Alex reunification is in
- 19:27Speaker 1: Palm Springs in the book, but they still have the
- 19:30Speaker 1: same like it's way too hot in here and the sheeting.
- 19:33Speaker 1: There's several situations where they make changes but they still
- 19:37Speaker 1: work and I appreciated that, and I think ultimately it
- 19:40Speaker 1: was a faithful adaptation given the constraints of making a movie.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I did see a interview with the author who said
- 19:49Speaker 1: that a pretty steamy like sex scene was filmed and cut.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because it didn't land with audiences.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah, did you read that too?
- 19:56Speaker 1: I saw maybe I just saw like a thread about it.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Wonder why it didn't land with audiences.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Would that have changed anything for you? It would not
- 20:05Speaker 1: have changed anything for me in terms of like, I
- 20:08Speaker 1: would have liked to see more vacations to be honest.
- 20:10Speaker 1: But no. What's interesting, though, is I did hear so
- 20:13Speaker 1: One of the things that's cut from the book is
- 20:16Speaker 1: in the book, Poppy has a pregnancy scare and after that,
- 20:19Speaker 1: Alex gets a festectomy because Alex's mom, God what dies
- 20:23Speaker 1: during childbirth and he's so afraid of anybody as Poppy
- 20:27Speaker 1: or anybody in this life having to go throughout. That's
- 20:30Speaker 1: a real deep storyline that's cut. Well, here's an interesting
- 20:32Speaker 1: thing that's not in the UK version of the book
- 20:34Speaker 1: because I don't remember, but it had something. I heard
- 20:37Speaker 1: some book talker talking about it about how it didn't
- 20:41Speaker 1: resonate as well with other audiences, and so they pulled
- 20:44Speaker 1: it from the UK. Additionally interesting, so interesting how these
- 20:49Speaker 1: things come to be. Yeah, Okay, now we can talk
- 20:52Speaker 1: about reading.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I gave it four and a half stars.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I gave it three stars. Woah wow, let me talk
- 20:59Speaker 1: about that. Actually, here's where this is hard for me.
- 21:04Speaker 1: When we're rating non Hallmark movies. Okay, we rate the
- 21:07Speaker 1: Hallmark movies on a five star scale, right, and I'm
- 21:11Speaker 1: rating them as a Hallmark movie. Yeah, okay, I'm rating
- 21:14Speaker 1: them within the Hallmark genre. Yes. If I'm rating this
- 21:18Speaker 1: as within the Hallmark genre, I'm going to give this
- 21:21Speaker 1: four and a half stars. If I'm reading this as
- 21:23Speaker 1: a theatrical rom com, I'm going to give it three point.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Twenty five stars.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Okay, that's fair. I co sign that. Thank you for
