- 0:51I'm gonna let it smile. Let it smile.
- 0:54Let it smile. Let it smile. Yeah!
- 1:00Daddy, I'm so excited, but I have one question. What's your question?
- 1:05I'm going to be a pastor or a minister.
- 1:07Good question. I don't know, but it is all in God's hands. Good morning.
- 1:12You're listening to Have Faith, Let It Begin, and it starts right now.
- 1:17Have faith. Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. I am back.
- 1:22It is December 12th, 2024. Yes, we are back and live here at 7.30 a.m.
- 1:29Eastern Standard Time. We had taken a little break, but now we are back.
- 1:34That's right. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and,
- 1:38of course, a Happy New Year coming up.
- 1:39We have been so busy on the back end getting ready for the holiday season here
- 1:46at Have Faith Let It Begin.
- 1:47For example, don't forget, we have our annual tradition, the story of the candy
- 1:52cane hosted by Santa Claus and yours truly.
- 1:55So I'm excited about that. I hope you are. And we're getting ready to embark
- 2:00on a new journey, a new chapter. But here's a quick programming note.
- 2:04Welcoming in to Podbean, the one and only Dr.
- 2:08Ian Ellie with his podcast, Citizens Reunited to Overcome Cancer,
- 2:12otherwise known as the Crock Podcast. That's right.
- 2:15They're on Podbean now. So make sure you switch over, you get onto Podbean app,
- 2:20and you follow him immediately.
- 2:22I'm telling you, we don't want to miss that.
- 2:25Well, today's episode is very simple. We pray for those that are in the hospital,
- 2:30pray for family members that are in the hospital.
- 2:32It is a futuristic, why do I say futuristic? I don't even know. It is a futuristic.
- 2:38An issue that always comes up.
- 2:41Family members during the holiday season or some of us will encounter sadness
- 2:48during the holiday season.
- 2:50I know what that feels like, guys. I'm not saying that just to say it. I do.
- 2:54So I'm only going to speak from my point of view because I'm not going to begin
- 2:57to try to understand what you're going through.
- 3:00But in 2001 to 2002, I would say two,
- 3:04maybe even three I went through a two-year depression
- 3:07and during that depression when the holidays came in
- 3:10it made things worse I made myself feel
- 3:13unworthy I I say I made myself feel because I did I didn't allow others in I
- 3:20did that to myself again I'm only speaking about my own personal experience
- 3:25I'm not even trying to compare yours to mine I'm just saying that for me I didn't allow others in.
- 3:31And I wish I would have because it would have made the holiday season better.
- 3:35I chose not to go home for the holidays. I spent it alone, which made things worse.
- 3:41And once I got out slowly of the depression, I got myself understanding that you do need friends.
- 3:50You do need loved ones. You do need the Holy Spirit and the Heavenly Father
- 3:54to be there and to guide you. And I was lost.
- 3:58I didn't go to church during those times, maybe once or twice,
- 4:02but not as much as I should have.
- 4:04I didn't seek out the Lord. I think I prayed more of anger.
- 4:08And what I realized was my life wasn't over. My life was just beginning. It just started.
- 4:15And, you know, for myself, I said, wow, I can do so many things.
- 4:20I can help so many others by sharing in my misfortunes and explaining all the
- 4:26things that happened to me, like not being able to pay rent.
- 4:30Well, that's a lie. I did pay rent, but I was living paycheck to paycheck,
- 4:34almost feeling like I couldn't pay rent. I knew, I knew that I had bills to pay. I had four jobs.
- 4:42I was a janitor. I was full-time manager, assistant branch manager for Dial America Marketing.
- 4:47I was, excuse me, I was a, well, I think it's called now the,
- 4:53I don't know what it's called now, but back then it was, it was for CVS and
- 4:57I was, I was a pharmaceutical assistant.
- 5:00There we go. And I don't know if they have to change the names now,
- 5:03but I, you had to take a test and all that.
- 5:05Pharmaceutical assistant And then, of course, I worked at TGIF Fridays as a server.
- 5:10So I had four jobs all at once just to make sure I made all ends meet.
- 5:14We made things even worse.
- 5:16Yeah, it kept me going and it kept me sidetracked at times. But all in all,
- 5:21it made me realize that I was down.
- 5:23And it wasn't until I met a very, very special person during the holiday season.
- 5:29I don't want to say her name because I haven't got permission.
- 5:32But all I will say is that she was from Kentucky. So she knows who she is.
- 5:37And she showed me and explained to me that I was worthy.
- 5:41She was the first one that told me that I was a handsome young man,
- 5:44that I was able to give so much for anyone, and anyone that would be interested
- 5:51in me would be the most happiest woman ever.
- 5:54And slowly but surely, I got out of that depression.
- 5:57And then, of course, I'll never forget, crying in my bed, my little dog,
- 6:02Buster B, little miniature pincher, he slowly creeped up,
- 6:07He went right up to my face, and all of a sudden he went.
- 6:13Which he never did. And then he licked my face, and I realized he didn't want me to cry anymore.
- 6:19And that's when things just changed. I went to church that Sunday.
- 6:23I prayed to God, and I learned to thank God for the good days and the bad days.
- 6:28So during this holiday season, I want each and every one of you to remember this.
- 6:33You're not alone. You never will be. You never have been.
- 6:37You are special. God loves you.
- 6:41God believes in you. God trusts in you. And God will never, ever, ever leave your side.
- 6:48Remember that today and every day.
- 6:52Because God knows who you are.
- 6:55God wants to be a part of your life. And all he's asking you to do is to believe and trust in him.

- 7:34He is a recovering person that dealt with heart complications.
- 7:39He had so many things. We continue to pray for Clinton and his family.

- 8:00the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
