- 0:38[SPEAKER_14]: Welcome back to another episode of the Dog's Podcast.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_14]: Josh, all your hosts today.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_14]: Happy Monday.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_14]: Happy victory Monday.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_14]: Screw it.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_14]: I know we played on Thursday.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_14]: We had a victory Friday, but we're having victory Monday as well.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_14]: Because the Browns are on top.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_14]: of the AFC nor sitting at three in one yesterday the the games kind of went like let's see the Jaguars beat the Bengals who fought a two and two and now sit at the bottom of the division the Ravens beat the Titans the the hapless Freak and Tennessee Titans Mike gosh are they terrible so the Ravens are at three in one but we hold the tiebreaker because we're one and out we've got the division win
- 1:18[SPEAKER_14]: over the Steelers from Thursday night.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_14]: So we're three in one sitting on top of the ABC North for the first time since 2014.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_14]: That's over a decade, guys.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_14]: So enjoy it.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_14]: Have fun with it this week.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_14]: What a, what a ride.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_14]: What a ride.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_14]: I'll be the first one to admit that I definitely overreacted after that week one loss, which looked like this team might not win a game all season.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_14]: Thought Todd Munkin was a complete absolute joke.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_14]: My root, root and bird had no clue what he was doing.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_14]: He was going to waste the talent on this defense.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_14]: it looked bad and you know I know a lot of you guys are probably sitting there listening this right now kind not in your head because you did too you thought it was all going down the toilet from week one and it was gonna be well we're gonna have the number one overall pick this year because we stock but you know what apparently we don't suck and you know watching the game last night on Sunday night
- 2:13[SPEAKER_14]: Um, that Panthers team can put up points.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_14]: Very decent offense and the Browns completely shut them down last Sunday.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_14]: So,
- 2:23[SPEAKER_14]: Good things still to come for the Browns this year.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, obviously weren't like I said the other day.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_14]: We're not going to go 16 and 1.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_14]: There will be games.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_14]: We're going to lose over the course of this season.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_14]: Things aren't always going to be rosiest, especially if we keep committing all these penalties and turn over worthy plays and going 3 and out.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_14]: Not being able to pick up first downs when we need it.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_14]: Like there are things this team needs to work on.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_14]: but it's so much easier to talk about those things and it's easier to work on them when you have a three in one record.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_14]: If you were at one in three, it would be hurry the hell up get these things fixed because you're already behind the eight ball.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_14]: Luckily, we built ourselves a solid foundation for the season with that three in one record.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_14]: So hats off to Todd, Monk and Mike Routenberg, this coaching
- 3:17[SPEAKER_14]: sticking with it and showing everybody that, you know, you can get this team to buy in to what you're doing and it's working.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_14]: What do I have on tap for you guys today?
- 3:28[SPEAKER_14]: Well, it's more like what you guys have on tap for me because I've gone through my inbox here over the last week and a half since the Panthers game because you gotta remember last week, we had two games in one week, it was Sunday and then Thursday.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_14]: I've got like, I don't know, 25, maybe 30 or more voicemails from you guys going all the way back to last Sunday.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_14]: We didn't get to play everything on the recap show.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_14]: We played none Friday.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_14]: Mac and myself we just got to talk and wait too much between us and didn't have time for voicemails and you know what this show is about you guys it's about the fans it's for you So I'm making sure we get your opinions and your takes your questions voicemails on this show So I'm gonna quit talking here and we're just gonna start diving in and going through these before I do
- 4:15[SPEAKER_14]: Remember, join the dollars dot com, want to be part of the discord, be part of the dog pack community, we've got people signing up every day.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_14]: It is a ton of fun.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_14]: It's where you want to be on game day, especially like it's, it's a little bit different right now in there with a winning team that has been in the last few years with a losing team.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_14]: So the conversations are a little more upbeat and positive.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_14]: Um, it just winning fixes so much.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_14]: So join the dogs.com if you want to hang out with everybody die hard browns fans from around the world.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_14]: It is a fantastic online community and uh, cannot endorse it enough.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_14]: Join the dogs.com if you want to get your voicemails on the show, go to the dogspock ass.com, leave tap voicemail on the drop down menu, type a message up, send it in, which actually I do have a couple messages to read, but first we're going to kick it off with a voicemail and again,
- 4:59[SPEAKER_14]: I'm going to go in order the order in which I receive these.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_14]: I haven't listened to him yet.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_14]: I try to do that if I can.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_14]: So I can react to him live as they come through.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_14]: So we're just going to go back.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_14]: So this is all going to start Sunday, September 27th with the Browns victory over the Panthers.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, what's up dog pack, uh, first time caller here, uh, wanted to call about, uh, you know, some of the problems, uh, actually not problems, but just, uh, some of the offensive things going on and, uh, I know we talk about a lot about quarterback, but I kind of want to focus on fanning and, uh,
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Boston and KC and Juggins for today.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: With the obvious hole of not really being on what to get the ball to these guys down field, down field and in space we've been able to get the ball to own more toward with check-downs and are you guys pretty impressed with what they've been able to do with getting the ball and such a like that's kind of a struggle getting into them and a check-down and trying to knock off big plays and choke-plays.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: get them all to them so far, like my line is screaming.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: You're only so far, a little bit of a front of it.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I just wonder what you guys would think of here we go, Brownie, here we go, we are two and one, let's call them.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_14]: Thanks for kicking off the show here today, Bernsey.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, so last week, Sunday against the Panthers, it was still a lot of that, you know, heavy check down, passing game relying on these guys to pick up the yards after the catch.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_14]: And I mean, my opinion on that back then is the same as it is now.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_14]: We've got some.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_14]: Day I'm fine playing makers on this team, man, I'll tell you what, every time we knew this from last year, but every time you get the bone to Harold Fan and Jr's hands, don't matter, he is picking up at least an extra yard if you can really bring him down.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_14]: He's going to get at least two or three, even if you hit him right at the catch point, he's falling forward and you'll never get him for a loss, you'll never take him down.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_14]: at first contact, like Harold Fan and Junior's phenomenal.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_14]: Against the Steelers, the Browns were attacking downfield more, which I thought was, like, hey, this is great.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_14]: We have not seen to Sean Watson really go down the field at all.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_14]: Early in the game has primarily been restricted to the fourth quarter stuff, but we saw it early in the game.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_14]: First half, he's going downfield multiple plays in a row.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_14]: hits Denzel Boston on a nice deep shot now again, you know, people jump my my crap online sometimes for being critical, but it's $130 million quarterback.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_14]: He threw that ball short to Denzel Boston.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_14]: He hits him and stride puts it right on him.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_14]: That's a touchdown.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_14]: Denzel Boston blows away from the defense and scores a touchdown on that play.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_14]: He had to slow up basically.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_14]: almost had to like pause his route to wait for that ball to come to him like hurry up and get here and then he caught it got some extra yards after the catch but again those are just plays that are going to come as the season goes on but it was encouraging to see the downfield effort by Todd Monkin and the offensive scheme and to Sean Watson's willingness to actually attack downfield because we've got players who can win down there we've got the dudes and relying on the
- 7:59[SPEAKER_14]: check down style offense where these guys are getting the ball in space.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, it works obviously, we're 3 and 1 and it has worked.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_14]: You can do that.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_14]: It just, when it starts to become the entirety of your offense, that's when I get concerned.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_14]: Like every every NFL offense consists of some element of, you got to get the ball to your playmakers quickly in space and let them pick up yards after the catch.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, no quarterbacks passing yards are entirely
- 8:26[SPEAKER_14]: from the throw to the catch point.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_14]: A lot of it is yards after catch.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_14]: But just relying solely on that, that's where my concern was through the first three weeks, but seeing the downfield passing on Thursday night, definitely helped me feel a little bit better about the passing attack.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_14]: So, Bernsey, thank you for the voice mail, glad you decided to call in for the first time.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_14]: And you guys all have to bear with me here again.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_14]: I'm all kind of all discombobulated.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_14]: Our next voice mail, I believe, is Preston.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, this is Preston from Charlotte again, and what do we can, man?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: Browser 2 and 1, 1, 2 and a row, bucks beat the brakes off of Villanoa and Jeremiah had a game for the ages.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, guards clinched the fly off spot, won the A.L.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: Central again.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: Great weekend, man.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, the Sun actually was pretty good, uh, which, you know, I've...
- 9:12[SPEAKER_04]: has it has it's ups and downs you know but i mean at least he's playing halfway decent the the quarter of that class hasn't looked any better especially after Dante more almost died on a football field yeah uh quite a quite a calling again good dogs go browns go bucks ooh thanks Preston yeah Ohio State's been doing well um Jeremiah Smith oh my gosh like
- 9:38[SPEAKER_14]: at this point in the season, I know it's still relatively early in the college football year, but you got to think Jeremiah Smith is the number one overall pick.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_14]: You're going to pass him up for a shot at, and again, like you said, the quarterback class is questionable at best right now.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_14]: We're not really sure how this is going to shake out, and that speaks to what the Browns may be trying to do here long term.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_14]: We'll see, probably have some voicemails on some of that stuff,
- 10:05[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, Jeremiah Smith is awesome.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_14]: The Buckeye's keep winning that hit on Dante Moore was rough, very rough, and the guardians, yes, they got their playoff spot didn't do a whole heck of a lot with it by scoring zero runs in game one, but tonight we get game two, hopefully they can even out the series otherwise it's going to be another quick out.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_14]: for the guardians.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_14]: But this isn't a baseball podcast.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_14]: It's Browns, I just appreciate the Cleveland and Ohio Sports Talk overall, Preston, thank you very much.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_14]: Let's shift gears here.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_14]: Got a message from the website.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_14]: This is from Jacob says Browns win.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_14]: This is after the,
- 10:40[SPEAKER_14]: Panthers game two in a row, baby, Watson did Watson things, but did big things to help us win the game.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_14]: Run game was better, but can still improve defense had me on edge.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_14]: My seat defense still played amazingly Josh.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_14]: You wanted Graham to step up in your two.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_14]: How about four sacks and three games?
- 10:55[SPEAKER_14]: Let's go, Browns.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_14]: Yes.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_14]: Mason Graham definitely looks like he is taking that massive second year leap that I was really hoping he would do.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_14]: Again, like I've always said, he wasn't terrible
- 11:10[SPEAKER_14]: What he's done in the first three games this year, that's what we're hoping for from a top 5 pick.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_14]: Not here one, not as a rookie, not right out the gate.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_14]: Don't hear him not saying.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_14]: But that's the type of player you expect him to be for your team.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_14]: you know, in year two years three and moving forward in his NFL career and we're getting that already for Mason Graham.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_14]: So no worries.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_14]: They're the only concern.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_14]: Obviously he's in the knee injury.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_14]: MRI showed a MCL sprain and an ankle sprain.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_14]: So Browns are taking it week by week.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_14]: He's not been placed on IR as of yet.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_14]: They're hopeful that he could be back as soon as gosh.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_14]: I thought Mary case had something about the Ravens game.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_14]: that wouldn't be this Sunday against the jets, but the next week.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_14]: So we will see, but at least Mason Graham avoided major catastrophe against the Steelers.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_14]: And the way the Brown's defense Sacked Aaron Rodgers in that game on Thursday, you can't convince me Mason Graham would not have walked out of there with at least one more if not two more Sacks to his credit.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_14]: So, you know,
- 12:13[SPEAKER_14]: everybody was kind of joking about hey the year after Miles Garrett breaks the sack record and then leaves Cleveland Mason Graham's going to step up and break his sack record.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_14]: Well you know it was kind of funny but the same time is like well he's kind of on pace to do it if he's able to sustain this over a full season obviously the injury and misgames now are going to derail that whole type of thing.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_14]: But it's that whole possibility is totally within the range of outcomes for his future.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_14]: So the future is bright for Mason Graham, very excited about what's to come there.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_14]: Next one, let's see, um, nope, that's from Preston.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_14]: We just heard your voice mail.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_14]: All right, next message Scott says, Go Brown.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_14]: He's Wolf Wolf is just the second quarter.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_14]: It's going to be an exciting game.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_14]: Let's see.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_14]: This one is from Thursday night.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_14]: So we're moving into the Steelers game was wondering I haven't heard as Jerry Judy still on the team haven't seen him all season.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_14]: So Jerry Judy is still on the team.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_14]: And again, I know you you sent this in the second quarter.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_14]: I've been dog we we've all dog Jerry Judy.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_14]: I think you guys have all dog Jerry Judy for the most part probably 99% of you guys out there as fans and we on the show have been very critical and like just done with Jerry Judy.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_14]: The dude stepped up in the fourth quarter.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_14]: Actually, I guess, third quarter, he made his first big catch.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_14]: And then on that game winning drive, he had two huge catches, huge catches, to move the ball and help get us in feelable range to win that game.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_14]: It speaks to the mentality of this entire team of
- 13:41[SPEAKER_14]: You know, from the coaching staff, through all the players, everybody's bought in.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_14]: If you've got Jerry Judy who's playing, I believe 37% of the snaps.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_14]: He is less than a half-time player.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_14]: He's specifically a role player right now.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_14]: I lightly use role player in the Brown's offense.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_14]: And if he's able to buy into that,
- 14:03[SPEAKER_14]: and come up with big producing catches, lighting games after he's been, you know, zeroes, the whole time up to that point.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_14]: You wouldn't have seen that kind of thing from Jerry Judy a year ago.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_14]: So that's encouraging to me for Jerry Judy.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_14]: So Scott, thank you for the message.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_14]: Let's see, we'll go back, we'll just finish these out here.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_14]: So I got Jake says,
- 14:26[SPEAKER_14]: Well, he said he did leave a voice, but we'll get to it.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_14]: And he says, what's going on with these penalties?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_14]: I'd like to think this is something monkey can fix, but extremely concerned with the lack of discipline.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_14]: If we want any shot in the postseason, this needs to be cleaned up, if we want to true it to lead team.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_14]: So watching the NFL yesterday, it was really nice having a full day where the Browns aren't playing and I'm not focused on one single team.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_14]: I'm kind of watching all the games, flipping back and forth, and that kind of thing.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_14]: And there were a lot of penalties across the NFL.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_14]: The Browns definitely need to clean their crap up.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_14]: There are way too many penalties.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_14]: But I have seen some people ask in the question like,
- 15:00[SPEAKER_14]: are the referees calling more this year than they have in the past because there was a lot i mean there were games that was kind of hard to watch especially on certain drives where it's like big play penalty big play penalty big play penalty punt like what are we doing here what are we doing so i don't know um there's obviously penalties that aren't called like the holding on denzel boss in the passenger fairings play where
- 15:26[SPEAKER_14]: The guy grabbed his horse collar and tugged him back and they didn't throw a flag.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_14]: So it's, I don't know, NFL officiating is overall garbage every year and this year proves to be no different.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_14]: But there are penalties on us that are our fault that we need to clean up and we got to fix.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_14]: So I'm with you on that big, big time.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_14]: Um, those, those will come back to bite us at some point.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_14]: And the last message I got here before we go back to voicemails.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_14]: Kevin,
- 15:54[SPEAKER_14]: One liner, love it.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_14]: How awesome has Andre Schmidt been for our team, dude?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_14]: I think he's made now.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_14]: Was it 22 straight field goals?
- 16:03[SPEAKER_14]: I think since the last time he missed one, he's only missed.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_14]: Gosh, I sure should have had this desk pulled up here for him.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_14]: I think you'll miss two kicks.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_14]: And that might be including P.A.T.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not sure if he might be 100% of P.A.T.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_14]: Ever since that first game last year, against the Bengals where we lost by one point, he missed what was at a kick and an extra point in that game.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_14]: And I think he's only missed one or two kicks since then.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_14]: He's made like 22 or maybe now it's like 20.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_14]: I don't even know where it is.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_14]: He is Mr. Freakin' clutch.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_14]: Andre Schmidt.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_14]: such an asset for this team and a guy we've been needing at that kicking position very badly so

- 18:39[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, never mind, no song, just Brad super stoked after the win thirds a night.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_14]: I, you know, you could hear the crowd in the background there like, wow, what a time, what a game man.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_14]: Tell you what, we always talk about this fan base.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_14]: You put a winning product out there in front of this fan base.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_14]: You're going to see some awesome things because if we're as loyal and committed to this team as we are in the bad losing seasons, try us during some wins.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_14]: And you'll see what we can do.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_14]: But thank you for the voice, Mel Bradley.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_14]: I appreciate you as always.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_14]: Next is Devante.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, guys, this Devante had a home from the game.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_09]: I had to cut out a little bit early.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_09]: This was an amazing game, one that I will remember for the rest of my life, take my wife to her first football game, and she's not a football fan.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_09]: She was into it, as we were, they walk it back to the car, and she was into it on the way home.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_09]: It was just truly amazing experience, man.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_09]: Again, thank you guys so much.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_09]: If you're listening and you're not a part of the dog back, become part of the dog back.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_09]: you get to get a special experience like what we have today.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_09]: But talking on the field, the shot while from the still not a capable quarterback, putting in a fail out of care.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_09]: Nobody said the first three quarters were horrible.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_09]: I will say Carolina did get bailed out.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_09]: buy some horrible calls on that drive and that's a touchdown I want to say the second half got some free drives there because of horrible calls things like foreign a row but overall this was a good win I'm happy for my father from muck getting his first win in the stadium and Josh I pretty sure I'll see the answer by the time it comes up but when the last time the shot was the one
- 20:33[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, so that's my fault.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_14]: I didn't look at the date on this.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_14]: So Brad's was last Sunday because I did see Brad up there in our section at the game.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_14]: So that was after the Panthers game, Devante obviously talking about the Panthers game.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_14]: Devante obviously part of our dog pack, Brad is to we were there.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_14]: I've said this before, but Sunday for the Panthers before the game, we got to go out on the field, hold the flag for the national anthem.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_14]: being introduced, we were down underneath the stadium in the tunnels with everybody.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_14]: It was such a cool experience, and that opportunity got afforded to us by the Descarles County Browns backers, which I then was able to relate to our dog pack.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_14]: to see if anybody was interested in buying the tickets and coming up for that.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_14]: And the tickets were very reasonably priced for the entire experience, all you can eat, all you can drink, before the game, get to go out on the field, before kickoff and do without whole thing was just incredible water rush to have just 70,000 screaming people just the dummy,
- 21:41[SPEAKER_14]: The Atrix and the, oh my gosh, it was just so cool.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_14]: So cool, and then obviously we get tickets for the game.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_14]: So that was an awesome time.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_14]: And Devante was great to see you.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_14]: I'm glad you and your wife had a great time.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_14]: The last time to Sean Watson won a home game in Cleveland.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_14]: I believe, you guys can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_14]: The Arizona Cardinals.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_14]: In what was that week, 10, I think.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_14]: Maybe week 10, back in 2023.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_14]: It's been a while.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_14]: It's been a long time.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_14]: So it's just, it's great.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_14]: I know like you said, he's, there's still so many ups and downs with the Sean that are getting, you know, kind of overlooked, I think, because of the winning and because of the game winning drives.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_14]: And, you know, he's turning it on when he needs to, that he's able to keep the team or the defense and everybody, basically, it's been a full team effort.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_14]: Everybody's keeping these games within reach to give us an opportunity to do those type of things in the fourth quarter.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_14]: But we need to get to a point where we're starting to take full command of these games.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_14]: We started to do it on Thursday against the Steelers and the first half, we were taking command of that game.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_14]: But in the second half, we lost it.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_14]: We lost command of the game.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_14]: And we need to be able to take command, take control, and somehow find a way to maintain it at least more than
- 22:57[SPEAKER_14]: a couple quarters because if you go the entire third half of the fourth quarter losing that control, then it comes down to a game winning field all the way did on Thursday night, but Devonte, thank you for the voice mail, man.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_14]: Just always great to hear from you.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_14]: Now we've got I wonder this camps.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_14]: I get confused because we got thriller from Canada who's in our dog pack love him.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_14]: But this one says it's from thrill ride from Canada.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_14]: Let's see.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_17]: Hey guys, thriller from Canada, just want to say, here we go, brownies, here we go.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, oh.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_17]: What a win today, not expecting that, wasn't pretty, but they got it done.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_17]: on to the next games.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_17]: I'm glad you guys got to watch a win at first energy.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_17]: It's always better than watching a horrible and embarrassing loss.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_14]: Aya fakes me out thriller that was from thriller.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_14]: It must have been like an auto-correct or something when you type that in.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_14]: Or maybe you want to be called thrill ride.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not sure.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_14]: But anyway, thrillers, thank you for the voice know, yeah, man.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_14]: It was
- 23:57[SPEAKER_14]: I've been to the Brown Stadium for several losses over the years.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_14]: I've witnessed a few wins, not many, not many.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_14]: But the wins I have seen live in person have been so much more fun.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_14]: And that one just goes right to it.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, we're walking out of that stadium, barking just absolutely on top of the world.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_14]: And we rolled up momentum right into Thursday night.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_14]: So, thrillers, thank you for the Voice Mill.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_14]: Boys, how about them brownies?
- 24:29[SPEAKER_08]: They got the big win.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_08]: I can't believe it.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_08]: We pulled it out in the end.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_08]: The Sean Watson, he looked like booty cheeks, most of the game, but he definitely stepped up when it mattered.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_08]: Offensive line was no help, majority of the game.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_08]: But my other big takeaway here is that Rutenberg's finally figured out this defense.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_08]: I think we got a real football team here.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know that it's gonna be playoff Ron or anything like that, but we definitely got a football team that's gonna be fun to let's go Browns.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_14]: Colin, thanks for the voicemail again.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_14]: I'm still going through the ones from the Panthers game last Sunday.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_14]: Um, yeah, it was not pretty for a lot of the game to Sean Watson did struggle heavily in that game, but again, like you said, put it together in the end.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_14]: Our defense looks legit.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_14]: Our, I mean, uh, looks so much, but week one had us all thinking,
- 25:19[SPEAKER_14]: We're toast, we're toast, we're Swiss cheese again, we're back to Joe Woods.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_14]: Doesn't look like it, man.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_14]: Doesn't look like it, and I will just chalk that one up because at this point,
- 25:29[SPEAKER_14]: That's the one off.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_14]: You got four game sample.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_14]: You've got three games for the defense as played excellent.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_14]: One game where the defense played absolutely terrible.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_14]: And it was the first game of the season.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_14]: So right now, that bad game is the outlier.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_14]: You got three in your sample data, and your sample set that says, we got us a good defense.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_14]: We got us a good team.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_14]: And I think, as far as a playoff run, that kind of stuff goes, we can talk about that.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_14]: Sure, at 3N1, you can talk about that.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_14]: It's gonna depend heavily on health.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_14]: Gotta keep guys healthy.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_14]: It's gonna depend on continued development at the quarterback position, because again, the Sean Watson cannot just play one or maybe two quarters of good football and the other two or three are garbage.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_14]: Like it's gotta be, you gotta be able to put together games.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_14]: And it doesn't have to be like, the entire game is elites, that's not what I'm saying.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_14]: But you can't have multiple quarters at a time or in a row where you suck.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_14]: You just can't do it.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_14]: we're we're getting by right now and it's great and we are very young and I do expect the penalties to start to calm themselves down a little bit because we talked about it before the season.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_14]: new coaching staff, new offensive scheme, new defensive stuff going on, a whole lot of new players playing together, a whole lot of young guys playing on this team right now.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_14]: There's going to be some mistakes early in the season, but we are getting past the early in the season part of the season, so it's time to start cleaning that crap up.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_14]: All right, next we have God and again, this is from last Sunday, Malachi.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, scratch that no voice mail from Malachi, Malachi, I-
- 27:04[SPEAKER_14]: It was very, very hard to hear what you were saying.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_14]: So I just said, I'm not going to play it on here.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_14]: I think you were setting it in, keep setting.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_14]: I'm sure I probably got another one from you here on the list.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_14]: At some point, it sounded like you were in the car with the windows down.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_14]: And it was just,
- 27:17[SPEAKER_14]: It was tough.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_14]: It was tough, but we got the next one here coming in from Evan.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: Evan here.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: Call them last week and I had mentioned that the Baker may feel that lost Tampa that game.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: And after coming away from this win, I can't help but maybe feel the same way that Bryce Young also did not play a good game.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_03]: When you compare him to how he played the day to how he had played the previous two weeks, I just he just wasn't himself.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he just he didn't play good football.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that's a credit to our defense.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, week one our defense did not look very good and they've really turned things around these past two weeks.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess my question is, are we getting lucky or is our defense just playing that well?
- 27:56[SPEAKER_14]: The defense is just playing that well, Evan, yes.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_14]: So I know that was obviously, after the Panthers game.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_14]: And we got to see Bryce shown last night against the Lions.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_14]: He looked every bit of the NFL's leading pastor that we solved through the first three weeks of the season.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_14]: and it looks like the one-off game for him was against the Cleveland Browns.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_14]: Baker Mayfield looked pedestrian against the Cleveland Browns and Aaron Rogers had a very rough night against the Cleveland Browns.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_14]: So I think the Cleveland Browns defense Evan, I think they are legit and I think they are a defense to be reckoned with and we get you know, genosmith
- 28:37[SPEAKER_14]: This defense just obliterated him for 10 sacks when he was with the Raiders last year and obviously different team, different offensive line, all that kind of stuff, but
- 28:47[SPEAKER_14]: this this defense looks pretty good man this defense looks pretty good but thank you for the voice mail Evan appreciate you we have let's see got a couple from during the week last week Sean Murray derby city dog aiden i appreciate you guys send in your voice mail's i'm not going to go through those because they're probably asking questions would be my guess about the stealers game which we we've already seen the game so i want to get to the reactions from the stealers game
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: Here we are at halftime.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be starting to believe coaching staff actually knew what they were doing with a Starting Watson looks like a Co-opotent QB Defense is firing on all cylinders, and I mean, I'm fortunate to see Mason Graham and my call go out Desertly, but I mean, man
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good to be a Browns fan right now, and hopefully not jinxing this by starting this off at just half time, but by the way, this is Nolan's second time calling in, thank you guys so much for the show.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: Side to see where we go from here.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: Go Browns.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Woo!
- 29:58[SPEAKER_14]: Thanks for calling in Nolan yet.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_14]: No, you didn't jinx it.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_14]: You almost did.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_14]: You almost did because I think we were kind of all doing the same thing we're sitting there going Wow, Sean Watson looked pretty damn good here in the first half.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_14]: I was saying, man, he straight up balling in this first half.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_14]: And I do hear the pain in your voice as you try to give him a compliment.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_14]: I get it.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_14]: Don't let get it.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_14]: It's tough.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_14]: Brown fans are in a tough spot right now.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_14]: We're like
- 30:20[SPEAKER_14]: We've got a guy out there that we don't like for the most part most of us, but he's helping the team win.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_14]: And I keep telling people like, look, I don't have to like every single player on this team.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_14]: As long as the team is winning, I root for the team, I've rooted for the team for anybody on the roster.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_14]: It was here and now for this team, long after they're all gone and replaced with new guys.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_14]: So it doesn't really matter who's on the team.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_14]: at any point, I am a Browns fan and I'm just pumped to see this team finally put some wooden football out there because it is fun to be a Browns fan right now, man.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_14]: It really is.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_14]: That's second half.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_14]: They got to clean some crap up because
- 30:53[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can't play a second half like that against against teams, a lot of times and still squeak out of win.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_14]: Luckily, we were at home.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_14]: I think if we were on the road, you know, more adverse environment type situation, maybe that doesn't go as well, but we pulled out the win and we are three and one.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_14]: So no one thank you.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_14]: This episode is sponsored by IM8.

- 32:28[SPEAKER_14]: Looks like we have got a voicemail here from Preston.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, it's Preston from Charlotte here again.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'm watching the game right now, it's a third quarter.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_04]: I was just about to say this one's been playing super well and then I saw the strip sack.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_04]: But aside from that, he has really played well and I'm honestly proud of the running game.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_04]: A lot, I think it's a good D-line, or front 7 in general, they've got Kanna Hayward, what, obviously, high-spinth, obviously, but especially Rocket Sanders, he's been playing super well, obviously Boston has been playing great as he has been all year.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_04]: And hey, look what happens when you throw the KC and like Josh says, get him, get on the ball in space.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_04]: It works, works wonders.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_04]: Love watching the team play this well.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, also, I was going to say it's good that the Sean's playing as well as he is right now, because the quarterback class really is not looking that great this year.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, that's it.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_04]: That's all I have right now.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_04]: Go Browns, go bucks.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_14]: That's always funny when you guys call in like mid game and I hear it obviously after the fact and I know what comes next So you're talking about that strip sack.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_14]: Well a very next possession what it was the interception which I get it was a tipball to mine But we'd also seem to Sean Watson go deep to Boston earlier in the game and he under threw him
- 33:50[SPEAKER_14]: Luckily he was wide open enough that he could wait for the ball catch it and still pick up some jack.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_14]: This one, the interception, I'm not sure.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_14]: I would need to go back and watch the old 22 because there were two defenders there.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_14]: And if he underthrows that ball even without the tips from the defensive lineman could have been picked off any house.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_14]: So, I don't know.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_14]: The problem with the Sean Watson is the same problem that we saw all training camp and it's the problem that he's had throughout his time in Cleveland, it's just the
- 34:19[SPEAKER_14]: The knack for committing turnovers is high with him, because not only did he have the strip sack, great play by TJ Wat, of course, you have the interception.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_14]: You had the next drive where we got into field goal range, we were able to kick that first field goal in the second half, but he fumbled the ball on third down.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_14]: Luckily, he fell on it, but again, another fumble puts the ball in the ground.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_14]: Final drive of the game when he got sacked, fumbled the ball again, put the ball back on the ground.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_14]: But it's too many times this year already that Deshawn Watson is putting the ball on the ground.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_14]: He has a fumbling problem.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_14]: He's always had a fumbling problem.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_14]: People don't necessarily always remember these things, years and years after the fact, but in Houston, early with the Browns.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_14]: Fumbling has always been a problem with Deshawn Watson because he holds the ball very long in the pocket trying to make plays, trying to extend plays.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_14]: And when he does, he holds the ball out away from his body.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_14]: You see it even when he's scrambling and he knows he's going to run.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_14]: He
- 35:15[SPEAKER_14]: He does not tuck the ball, he holds that thing out like this, whoo, whoo, whoo, let's just see anybody can knock it out and they do, they knock it out so ball security has been a major issue with him.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_14]: And it's something that I, again, I'll harp on it until it gets fixed because it's going to cost us at some point.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_14]: It's going to.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_14]: So, got to protect the ball better.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_14]: If he's going to be doing this scrambling around, trying to pick up yards with his legs, he's got to be smart with the ball in protection.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_14]: I love the ability to pick up yards with his legs, but it scares me every time he runs, because I know that ball is just a little finger tip punch from being knocked out of his grasp.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_14]: But anyhow, okay, sorry.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, so he did about that one.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you, Preston.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_14]: Next up, Stacey.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_12]: what's going on dog's podcast it's Stacy here reporting in the middle of the game and my goodness destruction wants and fumbles the ball then defense goes out there and they get a stop exactly when they need to get a stop oh my gosh I was perfect regardless of the way that this game ends Aaron Rogers cannot handle this pressure let's go my call on one leg getting the sack at the
- 36:31[SPEAKER_12]: Come on boys, let's finish it out here, close it out with a win.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, tasty.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_14]: Let's go.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_14]: You got me all hyped up for that one.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_14]: Yes.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_14]: That was such, and there were moments in that game.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_14]: The defense definitely backing up the offense when we're making those mistakes out there.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_14]: And they come out and stuff.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_14]: And when Mike Hall junior got that sack on Aaron Rogers, I legitimately came up out of my off the couch and I was like, Mike Hall, we did he come back.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_14]: The last I saw him, I thought his season might be over.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_14]: Then he goes back on the, I didn't even know he was back in the game.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_14]: Maybe I missed it on the broadcast, but I have no idea.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_14]: I did not know Michael Jr. was back in that sack there in Rogers.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_14]: I'm like, don't just want him freaking talking about, baby.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_14]: Man, I love it.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_14]: I love it when the Browns are good.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_14]: So much fun, Stacy.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_14]: You are so much fun.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_14]: And thank you for the voicemail, getting me all jacked back up again.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_14]: This is awesome.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_14]: I just can't wait till Sunday.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_14]: You know, in years past, it was like, man, Sunday is gonna suck.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_14]: I gotta watch this team go out there and get their shit kicked again.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_14]: Not this year, baby.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_14]: We're excited for Browns Sunday.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_14]: This is fun.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_14]: Jersey Justin, buddy, you're up next.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_18]: okay Watson okay Watson hey the line plague really well all right not perfect but they play pretty well and okay to Sean All right keep proving a strong man.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_18]: We deserve it.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_18]: Let's go Browns.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_14]: Oh Okay Jersey Justin doesn't have the normal energy wasn't able to keep it up from Stacy's voice mail And I think Jersey Justin might be a little bit sick there And if you're if you're not feeling well buddy I hope you're hope you're feeling better now And I've been under the weather for like the last week and a half has been
- 38:02[SPEAKER_14]: brutal, but I feel for you.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_14]: I can just tell in your voice, man, you are not feeling normal.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_14]: Not yourself, but the Browns win, like you said, okay, Dishon, okay, like,
- 38:15[SPEAKER_14]: If this is what we're going to do, again, you got to continue to improve because we cannot be taken quarters and halves off and have bad stretches because teams are going to start capitalizing on those opportunities, but so far, so good.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_14]: You've been able to get the job done and, you know, if
- 38:36[SPEAKER_14]: I I guess I don't really know what to say like I am still coming and I know some of you guys are going to feel the same and some of you are totally different now and I get it like we are on different places of our belief in what we've seen from the Sean Watson so far I'm still like
- 38:54[SPEAKER_14]: optimistic, but cautiously optimistic, like still skeptical, because I've spent so long just not believing in him that okay, I've seen it now where I can believe that this team can obviously win games with him.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_14]: I didn't think that was possible, but it speaks.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_14]: to his level of play and where it is, but it speaks more in my opinion, to just the level of play of the overall team.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_14]: To put us in a situation where if you can just get good enough quarterback play for a minimum stretch here, we can pull this thing out.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_14]: And that's been the rest of piece so far, but we'll see if you continue to put it together and improve
- 39:33[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_14]: I'll say guys so far.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_14]: So good.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_14]: Now we got a voice mail from Blake's favorite Canadian sounding non Canadian.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_07]: Here we go.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_07]: He's here we go.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, oh, yeah, I heard that was quite the game.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, 15 and two train is back.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_07]: Baby.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_07]: Three and one top of the division feels absolutely amazing.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_14]: Thanks, Tim.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_14]: Love you, buddy.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_14]: Really disappointed Blake isn't able to be on this episode to hear you.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_14]: But keep calling in and maybe we'll hit you.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_14]: We'll get one, um, when Blake is on your Tim, you're awesome man.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_14]: All right, Davey Dog, you're up next.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_06]: how bad are we freaking when we beat Pittsburgh?
- 40:18[SPEAKER_06]: I don't have to wear a stealer hat.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_06]: I had a bit between a buddy at work.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_06]: If the Browns won, they had to wear a Browns hat and if the stealers won, I had to wear a stealer hat, but it looks like they had to wear the Browns hat, so it's a good thing.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just, I'm just still, uh, take this win in.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_06]: I'm so freaking happy.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, I don't know if any of you guys watched the pre game thing about Calcutta Ohio.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_06]: That's where I'm from.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_06]: What do we divide it from Pittsburgh and Stealer fans?
- 40:47[SPEAKER_06]: Pretty tough being a Browns fan.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like it's more wopside.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_06]: It's more Stealer fans than it is Ohio Cleveland fans here, but I thought that was pretty cool.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_06]: My pound finally made it.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_06]: They usually don't make it into anything.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_06]: The song looked pretty good.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_06]: Freakin' I thought Mason Cram going out was going to be a big impact on the defense, but everyone pulled through the defense, it's really great.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_06]: Now I get the code into work and I hope you guys can do it with the win, as much as I did, go dogs.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_14]: How about it, Davey Dog, what a great win and I'm glad that, I mean those type of bets where you know, you have to wear the hated opposing teams gear.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_14]: Whew.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_14]: I those always make me nervous, especially when you're talking about.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_14]: The Browns hack even the buck ice because you just never know like
- 41:33[SPEAKER_14]: You just slap you across the face with some disappointment at any given time, definitely more so with the Browns.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_14]: But I'm glad that you're not wearing Steelers gear because that would be disgusting and I'm glad that your buddy has to wear some Browns gear.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_14]: Now, are you gonna make the same bet here in what a month, they play on November 1st, I think, in Pittsburgh.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_14]: So we got the second game of the series this year coming up real quick.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_14]: So let me know, man, are you gonna be betting with your buddy again on this?
- 42:00[SPEAKER_14]: For the Steelers game at home,
- 42:03[SPEAKER_14]: go out on top with this one.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_14]: But great to hear from you.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_14]: That's a ton of fun.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_14]: I've been having fun all weekend just picking on Steelers fans because
- 42:12[SPEAKER_14]: Why not?
- 42:13[SPEAKER_14]: You know what I mean?
- 42:14[SPEAKER_14]: Why not, you know.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_14]: So, okay, so say we go there and I'm first and they win.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, like we're Browns fans, like losing to Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, that's not the new.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_14]: But Steelers fans losing to the Browns in Cleveland, that's also nothing new.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_14]: The difference is they still can't handle it.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_14]: Oh my gosh, it's beautiful.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_14]: It's just a thing of beauty, man.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_14]: I just, I love it so much.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_14]: I love picking on them, you know.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_14]: I say things I don't even mean to them.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know why some of them I see posts and stuff pop up on my timeline on Twitter and I don't know why I do it I just I might just stop and just give them a little whatever and I don't even look to see if they respond I just move on about my day it's just I don't know it's fun it's fun this sports is all about if you're going to have a rivalry but you can't have fun when you win
- 43:01[SPEAKER_14]: Then what's the point in the rivalry, right?
- 43:04[SPEAKER_14]: All right, speaking of having fun, our buddy Cooper is up next.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_15]: Hey, guys, it's Cooper, well, just from the selection of those.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_15]: I'm so happy that we officially frame one.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_15]: Hopefully, we hopefully, we can do this later in this season.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_15]: So that way, we can eventually have a better record that we then we did last season.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_15]: And Denzel Boston, doing good plays.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_15]: But yeah, in Denzel board, yeah, that's all.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_15]: Go Browns.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_14]: Cooper, yes, summed it up perfectly for all Browns fans everywhere.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_14]: Denzel Boston, doing good plays, Denzel Ward.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, enough said enough said that Denzel's on this team are pretty awesome.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_14]: And by the way, speaking about hopefully we can have a better record than we did the last, like last year, we only won five games last year.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_14]: But remember this, we've already won three and we've only won three games all of 2024.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_14]: So we've already matched the win total from two years ago.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_14]: This season, um, just what a turnaround.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_14]: What a turnaround.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_14]: Definitely, I can't speak for everybody when I say, like, we really, I don't think anybody was expecting this.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_14]: I'm sure some people, the, you know, eternal optimist, Browns fans out there were like, I called 15 and 2, right, Tim?
- 44:20[SPEAKER_14]: I called 15 and 2 from the beginning.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_14]: I knew that, okay, okay, I hear you.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_14]: Fine.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_14]: I get it, but you, you probably said that last year too.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_14]: I think for the most of us, definitely me, what an expecting this was not expecting that special early in the season.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_14]: So this is fan-freakin-tastic.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_14]: Next voice male.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_14]: Thanks Cooper.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_14]: Next one here's from Grant.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_10]: Let's go dog.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_10]: Cow.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_10]: Three and one took all the students at home.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_10]: Oh my god.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_10]: Boys boys.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_10]: We're on top of the AC North.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_10]: Can you believe her?
- 44:50[SPEAKER_10]: And now I couldn't believe it.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_10]: I was ready to burn my jersey back in a week one.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_10]: I might have a reacted.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_10]: The fact that we could be five and one going in a week's six with the schedule line up like it is, look, I know that I still put a Sean Watson, I don't know how to feel about him right now, but hopefully,
- 45:10[SPEAKER_10]: Boys, let's go dogs, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo,
- 45:39[SPEAKER_14]: That's cool.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_14]: Great.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_14]: The excitement, man.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_14]: I love it.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_14]: I love feeling all the energy from you guys.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_14]: This is so much fun.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_14]: It's like we live in the night all over again.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_14]: I'm really glad that I decided to go through here and listen to all these voicemails here for you.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_14]: Today's is so much fun, but another.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_14]: Another person here, Grant, getting the one over on their Steelers, co-work.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_14]: Like this is, I love hearing these things.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_14]: If you guys do this kind of stuff all the time, do you have like Ravens fans or Bengals fans that you work with and you do this stuff too?
- 46:09[SPEAKER_14]: This is so cool.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_14]: It definitely works out better when the Browns win and you don't have to go doing the Steelers gear and all that crap.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_14]: But man, that is, that is a ton of fun.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_14]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_14]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before, right?
- 46:28[SPEAKER_14]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing against the house.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_14]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_14]: You're not betting against some sports book.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_14]: You're trading against other real world people.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_14]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_14]: So if you think the public is wrong and the Browns can make the playoffs in Todd Munkins first year, or Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, one of those guys can win offensive rookie of the year.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_14]: You can take the other side of the market and then if you're right, that's a big payout for you.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_14]: And it's not just sports either.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_14]: You can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_14]: It works like this.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_14]: Simple yes or no market, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.

- 48:04[SPEAKER_16]: Hey, it's uh, it's Caleb.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_16]: I only have a couple things to say.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_16]: Quinshawn finally had the breakout game.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_16]: Love it.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_16]: Penalty's abysmal, but the thing I really want to say.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_16]: Super Bowl or bust.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_16]: Let's go dog pack.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_14]: Super Bowl super browns.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_14]: All right, Kayla, appreciate the voice mail.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_14]: You know, the one thing I pushed back a little bit there.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_14]: I wouldn't call that the Quinsheron Judkan's breakout game.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_14]: His best game in the season so far, but
- 48:33[SPEAKER_14]: Maybe if you're looking at it from like a fantasy football points perspective, well, yeah, definitely is absolute best game 17 carries only 53 yards 3.1 a clip He finally scored a touchdown, but overall that is not a very good day on the ground and if you guys watched my recap with Mac on Friday You know, Judd can said 53 total rushing yards in that game on the stat sheet
- 48:56[SPEAKER_14]: But if he, if you look at the deeper metrics, he had 50 of those yards after contact.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_14]: He's still not getting any push up front, although I will say he looked the best.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_14]: He's, he's looked all year on Thursday night.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_14]: His day was, and if you're looking out from fantasy.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_14]: Angle, his day was saved by the six receptions on seven targets for 43 yards in the receiving game.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_14]: So that, you know, utilizing Quintion Judkins in the passing game is smart because he can do it.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_14]: He's very effective.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_14]: And I think we're going to see this team get better.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, there's going to be better rushing days ahead.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_14]: This offensive line.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_14]: looks to be, you know, finding their stride together, they're jelling, it's just, it's taking some time.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_14]: And, you know, we get another opportunity to take another step forward on Sunday against the jets can't freaking wait.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_14]: So Caleb, thank you for the voice mail.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_14]: Oh boy, maybe this one has the song because this one's from Brad Moneymaker.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_05]: Start from the bottom now we're here, start from the bottom now the whole team here, start from the bottom now we're here, start from the bottom now my whole team here, boys, boys, boys, boys, ladies and gentlemen, we are first place in the ASC North,
- 50:14[SPEAKER_05]: Let's go!
- 50:16[SPEAKER_05]: We are the champions of...
- 50:20[SPEAKER_05]: the week.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_05]: Man, what a win.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_05]: That was crazy.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_05]: Then with a little dicey, you know, a lot of things making a risk.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_05]: Knuckles kind of white.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_05]: You're sucking guests in the kicking because you have PTSD, basically sends the end of Phil Dawson until we just got Andre.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_05]: And what did somebody say, the Andre, the giant?
- 50:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I like that on.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_05]: Man, teamwork good, there's some things definitely and be cleaned up.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_05]: Andrew's kinda sucked that's for sure.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, we got many buy and then we got the jets.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_05]: Man, three and one, it feels real nice right now.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_05]: Let's go Browns and the Steelers.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_05]: Woo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo
- 51:14[SPEAKER_14]: I don't really say it was you're right there's definitely things we need to clean up there were moments in the second half of that game where it's I you know and watching the game I'm like I was texting with Justin Blake Kenny you know during the game and stuff and I don't even remember what point in the game it was
- 51:29[SPEAKER_14]: But I remember saying we're going to lose this game, like we're done.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_14]: We are playing, as good as we play in the first half, that's how bad we're playing in the second half.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_14]: They're going to beat us.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_14]: We are going to let them beat us because we had this game in full control in the first half, and then the second half, it was like, nope, we don't want it.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_14]: We will hand it to you guys and see if you can take it.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_14]: They couldn't take it, thankfully.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_14]: And we did just enough to squeak it out in the end, but
- 51:56[SPEAKER_14]: got to clean some stuff up and it's just it's just good because we've all seen the Browns lose those games a million times in the past.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_14]: That's usually what happens.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_14]: They find a way to lose.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_14]: This Browns team so far, they're looking like the team that finds a way to win.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_14]: And in the NFL, where the average margin of victory is like three and
- 52:25[SPEAKER_19]: just got to find a way to squeak it out and they did and they keep doing it and uh... it's just exciting time in all right we've got hole in my lack of so many boys males to get through the next ones from jake what's up dog's podcast this is jake first time calling in i listen y'all often absolutely love the content all the takes
- 52:46[SPEAKER_19]: you guys are phenomenal just got done watching this Browns game obviously super pumped 3-1 crazy never would have thought of getting this season but here we are just my takeways from a date game
- 53:01[SPEAKER_19]: Watson, he looks like the guy we paid $240 million for, I mean it's about time, took him only two, three years, don't like him at all as a person, very conflicted about this whole thing, but none of the last winning is all we've ever wanted as fan base in a franchise so stoked to see it.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_19]: 26, pardon, I think that's his name, brutal.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, they were picking out them all night.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_19]: The other quarterback's salad, defense, such a rock salad, even without miles.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_19]: So I don't know, I thought we're gonna look lost this year, but we look phenomenal.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_19]: Heart rookies, I mean, very looks like a genius, these past.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_19]: three years of drafting, and I think in one to five years, we might see ourselves when a bowl, I mean, dare I said, but Stoops, love the brownies, love y'all, appreciate you go browns.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_14]: J.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E
- 54:09[SPEAKER_14]: Maybe a majority of fans are feeling, maybe thinking in the back of their head here like, as young roster looks like the make use of something that could potentially contend for a super ball in the coming seasons.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_14]: But we're really afraid to, hell, I'm afraid to say that out loud.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_14]: I'm afraid to let myself think it, but dude, you're not wrong.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_14]: You're not wrong.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_14]: This is what the best teams in the NFL have.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_14]: They have rosters comprised like their core solid stud pieces on their roster are comprised from picks they've hit on in the draft and we're not just talking first and second round type of picks.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_14]: You got to be able to hit on your thirds, your fourths, your fifths and I don't mean like their proble players, but I mean you can get a quality starter in the third round at right guard.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_14]: That's the kind of stuff you can get because I think Justin Jefferson, like the linebacker out of Alabama.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_14]: Obama, he's not playing much so far this season.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_14]: I think eventually he could be a good, at least rotational piece, maybe a spot starting linebacker for this defense.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_14]: You can start hitting on players like that, filling out your roster with successful draft picks, not all pro bowlers, not starters even, just guys that can contribute to the team.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_14]: And then also of course your studs coming from your your hitting on the picks and the third of your early picks and stuff like that man, this team does have a very bright future guy to get the quarterback situation figured out because just not 100% sure it's going to be working out with the Sean Watson beyond this year.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_14]: And that is right there 18 voice mail said I just played for you guys today I read three messages.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_14]: and I'm just scrolling through my inbox here.
