Latest / Tea Time w/Amie & Bev / Episode #279: Feel It to Heal It
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to tea sign with Amy and Bev.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hello, top of the day to you the top of
- 0:08Speaker 2: the day.
- 0:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna let you run with that.
- 0:14Speaker 4: It's good with me.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'm a lot of moving pieces right now in my
- 0:19Speaker 1: head and uh, all good. So, but I know you
- 0:24Speaker 1: have a huge transitioning happening, so want to hear all
- 0:27Speaker 1: about it.
- 0:29Speaker 2: And it's kind of crazy because to start off the transition,
- 0:32Speaker 2: I got a call for my daughter Thursday morning. Friday
- 0:35Speaker 2: morning was Friday morning, and her cat took a turn
- 0:39Speaker 2: and we had to take him to the bet and
- 0:42Speaker 2: send him on his.
- 0:47Speaker 1: All right, so we're starting this off right away.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I'll go through your repeat, take it to the vet
- 0:54Speaker 2: and and we facilitated him leaving this physical body and
- 1:01Speaker 2: going to what crossed the rainbow bridge. So they say so,
- 1:04Speaker 2: But it's interesting because it's a transitional phase. This cat
- 1:07Speaker 2: is a cat that she had in her life that
- 1:09Speaker 2: was with her boyfriend at the time that's no longer
- 1:12Speaker 2: with us, and that was the last cat. She also
- 1:15Speaker 2: had this cat with when Dad was there. There's so
- 1:17Speaker 2: much emotions that are coming through for her feeling right now.
- 1:21Speaker 3: And I say that because a lot of the stuff.
- 1:24Speaker 2: You know, we lose people in our lives and I
- 1:27Speaker 2: say that loosely, but they leave their physical bodies and
- 1:30Speaker 2: then cats and animals do too, and it's it helps
- 1:32Speaker 2: to facilitate our growth. All this stuff is happening for us.
- 1:37Speaker 2: And it's because it's like we're it's opening up in
- 1:40Speaker 2: revealing wounds that we didn't know were there.
- 1:43Speaker 3: So it's and allowing this emotion to come through.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And it's so awesome because my granddaughter is is like
- 1:51Speaker 2: that's her daughter is like.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Totally walking around.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I could hear my daughter talking to me on box
- 2:00Speaker 2: and then I hear my granddaughter she's walking around the house.
- 2:02Speaker 2: She's crying and she doesn't understand why he can't just
- 2:06Speaker 2: be home. She tried to stop him from leaving the house,
- 2:09Speaker 2: like no, you can't take him. And Ariana explained everything
- 2:12Speaker 2: to him, and she's explained a lot of stuff to him.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And she also said, which I thought was so freaking awesome,
- 2:17Speaker 2: is because most of us don't do this. Is note
- 2:21Speaker 2: because Vivy said to her, well, do I have enough
- 2:23Speaker 2: money for us to go get another kitten?
- 2:25Speaker 3: You know?
- 2:25Speaker 2: In her because we think that that's gonna solve our problem.
- 2:28Speaker 2: That's gonna stop the hurt, right, we want to stop
- 2:31Speaker 2: the hurt, but it's okay to fill the hurt.
- 2:33Speaker 3: And then the Arianna says, no, we're gonna go through this.
- 2:35Speaker 2: We're gonna feel this, and it's gonna suck a little bit,
- 2:38Speaker 2: but she says, we're gonna feel these emotions. And I thought,
- 2:41Speaker 2: how honorable, how amazing to teach your daughter.
- 2:44Speaker 4: That that's awesome.
- 2:47Speaker 3: And she says, we'll just go through it together.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So they're walking around the house and they might be crying,
- 2:50Speaker 2: or one of them might not be crying. Any other
- 2:52Speaker 2: one is crying, so they're having a This is healing,
- 2:55Speaker 2: this is the process. And then it's like and amidst
- 2:58Speaker 2: all this, my last day for work was Friday, so
- 3:02Speaker 2: it's that other part of the transition.
- 3:04Speaker 3: What does it look like? I don't know yet right now.
- 3:07Speaker 2: So it looks like someone throw up a bunch of
- 3:09Speaker 2: colors in my office in my office I'm sitting in.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Right now because I've moved everything from there.
- 3:14Speaker 2: A lot of it's in my office here, and then
- 3:16Speaker 2: a lot of it's been put into different places until
- 3:18Speaker 2: I can sort through it. But it's just it's a
- 3:20Speaker 2: fascinating space. It's all of it's kind of fun, and
- 3:25Speaker 2: it's like it happens so fast. Like I always tell
- 3:28Speaker 2: people when things are when things are meant to go
- 3:31Speaker 2: in a certain direction, they just happened so fast. And
- 3:34Speaker 2: leading up to it, I was a little bit scared,
- 3:36Speaker 2: a little bit worried, a little bit excited. I had
- 3:39Speaker 2: all these emotions that were coming through. But I just
- 3:41Speaker 2: sat with the emotions, just like my daughter is doing
- 3:46Speaker 2: with her daughter, which is so amazing.
- 3:48Speaker 4: And that's what I was gonna say.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I would like to kind of stay on this topic
- 3:51Speaker 1: because it's super important for people to understand that is
- 3:55Speaker 1: is it the door closes for one for another door
- 4:01Speaker 1: to open, That other door can also open while you're
- 4:04Speaker 1: in the middle of other things.
- 4:06Speaker 4: However, when you decide to.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Finally close a door because you're ready to walk through
- 4:14Speaker 1: a new one, there's still going to be some some.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Grief.
- 4:20Speaker 1: There's going to feel a sense of loss, a shift
- 4:23Speaker 1: of what was known to the unknown.
- 4:26Speaker 4: There's going to.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Be this energy emotional experience that's that's gonna it's best
- 4:38Speaker 1: if we sit with it and allow that to that
- 4:41Speaker 1: grieving process, no matter how big or small it is.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And the idea that, you know, this change of the
- 4:50Speaker 1: loss of a cat that was a family member and
- 4:55Speaker 1: it's been around for years and now it's not there.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I love that is teaching her kids. No, we're gonna
- 5:01Speaker 1: sit with this because even as adults. I just talked
- 5:05Speaker 1: to a lady the other day who has her her
- 5:09Speaker 1: kids are. She has twins and they just turned They
- 5:13Speaker 1: just graduated and one is went off to college out
- 5:18Speaker 1: of town. The other one's still at home. But in
- 5:22Speaker 1: the middle of that, she lost her younger sister and
- 5:25Speaker 1: then to transitioning. And I was talking to her. I said, well,
- 5:30Speaker 1: she goes, I'm just really concerned about my mom losing
- 5:33Speaker 1: a child and blah blah blah, And it's like, how
- 5:36Speaker 1: are you doing, Like you have a lot going on too,
- 5:39Speaker 1: how are you doing? She goes, You know, with everything happening,
- 5:43Speaker 1: I just I don't feel like she goes. I feel
- 5:45Speaker 1: really heavy, but I don't feel like I've really processed anything.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And that's what we do when we're in the middle
- 5:54Speaker 1: of a lot of things going on. We are in
- 5:57Speaker 1: survival mode. We're just doing what we need to do
- 6:01Speaker 1: to get through whatever it is that's going on. But
- 6:05Speaker 1: we tend to forget also that once we get through
- 6:09Speaker 1: some of these things, that we've got to sit and
- 6:12Speaker 1: let our body, let our nervous system release whatever it
- 6:15Speaker 1: is we've been storing and ignoring. Oh I love that.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Storing and ignoring.
- 6:20Speaker 1: That's a new tagline.
- 6:23Speaker 3: It's nice. I like it, and it's so it's it's
- 6:26Speaker 3: what we've been doing. A lot of people have been
- 6:27Speaker 3: doing it.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and so even for you, you know you're ending a chapter,
- 6:34Speaker 1: we'll sit with that.
- 6:35Speaker 4: How does that feel to you?
- 6:36Speaker 1: How is that you know you're not going to be
- 6:39Speaker 1: seeing certain people on a regular basis. Maybe it's feeling
- 6:43Speaker 1: it's exciting, You're elated about it because this was an
- 6:46Speaker 1: opportunity to help them shift in a different.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Path, right, find.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Other tools or whatever that might be for them, or
- 6:59Speaker 1: develops a different kind of relationship of connection where you're
- 7:02Speaker 1: coaching them in a different way, not through massage, or
- 7:07Speaker 1: it's you're on a whole new path. Who knows, right, So,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but still, it's all the emotional energy that sitting there
- 7:17Speaker 1: and we haven't done anything with it, and it just
- 7:19Speaker 1: keeps sitting there, and then at some point something triggers
- 7:23Speaker 1: us and we just feel like we're losing our mind
- 7:26Speaker 1: because we go into this maybe a depression or just
- 7:29Speaker 1: a super heaviness of sadness, and then.
- 7:31Speaker 4: We don't understand why.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Well, it's because we just keep compounding all these experiences.
- 7:36Speaker 1: They're creating this emotional heaviness and we're not processing it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: So I think that's, ah, kudos to her. I mean,
- 7:46Speaker 1: if there could have been anything else you would have
- 7:48Speaker 1: said today, that's that just.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Lights my heart up.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That she's like, we are not going to try to
- 7:55Speaker 1: fill avoid before we process how we're feeling. Right, Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 1: And I want so many adults to hear that.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Stop trying to fill the void.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Stay busy, keep going, stay in survival mode, and not
- 8:12Speaker 1: let your gets your nervous system. And this is what
- 8:15Speaker 1: people don't understand. It's like, no, I just got to
- 8:16Speaker 1: keep going because if I stay busy, then I'll forget it.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Your body's not forgetting it.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Your body is storing that, and your nervous system is
- 8:24Speaker 1: like it's like an earthquake inside. It is just a
- 8:27Speaker 1: shaking going on.
- 8:29Speaker 5: And then you do things, say things, and you're just
- 8:35Speaker 5: react to things and you wonder why you're doing that
- 8:38Speaker 5: because your body's.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Like listen, bitch, I just can't take none, no more
- 8:46Speaker 1: of your stuff.
- 8:46Speaker 3: We got to release some of this. And then you
- 8:49Speaker 3: think about the earthquake.
- 8:51Speaker 2: When we have the experiences of these traumas now are
- 8:57Speaker 2: neutral might look a little bit different, and so you
- 8:59Speaker 2: might still be in that what you think is neutral,
- 9:02Speaker 2: but now you're carrying that earthquake with you. You're like
- 9:04Speaker 2: you're still having the earthquake. And so you don't ever change,
- 9:06Speaker 2: You don't ever switch. And it's so helpful. So I
- 9:09Speaker 2: know all these things to do, but I never I
- 9:11Speaker 2: have the statist sit with those fillings for myself leaving
- 9:15Speaker 2: my office, I have I've tuned into Ariana, and I
- 9:19Speaker 2: can as soon as I tune into.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Her, I can feel the heartbreak.
- 9:21Speaker 2: And so I'll feel the emotion for her a little
- 9:24Speaker 2: bit and then and then I kind of step up
- 9:25Speaker 2: a step away because I don't want to be This
- 9:27Speaker 2: is her process.
- 9:28Speaker 3: It's not for me to take it. It's for her
- 9:30Speaker 3: to process.
- 9:30Speaker 2: It, for her to walk this walk. But it's I
- 9:35Speaker 2: had to do that when when my husband passed, and
- 9:37Speaker 2: so when he had passed away, I didn't do anything
- 9:41Speaker 2: for a whole month, and people would say, oh, you
- 9:43Speaker 2: just need to get back into work, you need to.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Do this, you need to do that.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And I understood that because I'm a person when something
- 9:48Speaker 2: happens and I don't know how to.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Work. The way I work through things is cleaning my house.
- 9:54Speaker 2: That's all just all of a sudden dive into working,
- 9:56Speaker 2: so distraction instead of just sitting.
- 9:57Speaker 3: In there and feeling the fillings.
- 10:00Speaker 2: But during that time, I couldn't do anything else, and
- 10:02Speaker 2: I knew at that time that I needed to set
- 10:04Speaker 2: with these emotions.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I needed to sit, and I was in that space
- 10:06Speaker 3: for a couple of years. Actually, So you.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Talk about the earthquake and then it's like that was
- 10:11Speaker 2: the earthquake, And so if I knew, zero point was
- 10:15Speaker 2: a different zero point because it was from all this
- 10:17Speaker 2: loss and all this other emotional feelings and regrets and grief,
- 10:21Speaker 2: and the grief was my grief. I mean, honestly, it was.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It was it was all my doings. It was the
- 10:27Speaker 2: stuff that was bringing brought up to me for my
- 10:30Speaker 2: own decisions and choices and just how I was showing
- 10:35Speaker 2: up in life.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And I will say that I showed up the best
- 10:37Speaker 3: way that I could.
- 10:38Speaker 2: But at the time I was walking through this place,
- 10:40Speaker 2: you know, and it took me a long time to
- 10:42Speaker 2: get to where I'm at right.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Now, pausing for a second.
- 10:50Speaker 2: A gateway for it. It was just a catalyst to
- 10:54Speaker 2: help me express all those things. It didn't it didn't stop,
- 10:57Speaker 2: you know, it didn't ever go away because my my,
- 11:01Speaker 2: my neutral, my zero point was a different zero point,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and now it's a totally different point.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Now it's I'm in a different.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Space, although old patterns are coming forward because now I've
- 11:11Speaker 2: got I'm overwhelmed because there's so much stuff in my
- 11:14Speaker 2: office and I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with
- 11:15Speaker 2: all with with all the some of the stuff, I
- 11:18Speaker 2: just got to.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Look at it differently.
- 11:21Speaker 2: So yesterday I was like so excited it also because
- 11:24Speaker 2: I was like, okay, Angel was like, I don't know
- 11:26Speaker 2: what to do with all this stuff and the way
- 11:28Speaker 2: I'm approaching it, I can't move forward. I'm stuck, so
- 11:32Speaker 2: going out and asking for help. And then they started presenting, well.
- 11:36Speaker 3: What if you did this, and wouldn't that be fun?
- 11:37Speaker 2: You know, like it's just different things for coming forward,
- 11:39Speaker 2: and I thought, well, that's a great idea. And then
- 11:43Speaker 2: also I'm gonna go back to Vivvy walking around the
- 11:46Speaker 2: house and crying.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Like I would call. I would be talking to her
- 11:49Speaker 3: and I would hear Biby crying.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And stuff like that, and talking. She's talking out loud
- 11:53Speaker 2: to herself. I recently was outside and I've been doing
- 11:57Speaker 2: it now on regular practice. People think it's weird to
- 11:59Speaker 2: talk to yourself, and we've talked about this a long
- 12:01Speaker 2: time ago, but now I recognize when we're talking to ourselves.
- 12:05Speaker 2: When I'm walking around outside and I'm talking to myself,
- 12:08Speaker 2: my mind is presenting something and my higher self is
- 12:12Speaker 2: responding to whatever I present. So it's like I'll start
- 12:15Speaker 2: saying this stuff out loud, and then I'll be like, oh, okay,
- 12:18Speaker 2: we think that that's all weird, like oh, that person's
- 12:20Speaker 2: talking to themselves. No, this is how we work our
- 12:22Speaker 2: way through so much stuff. This is the part. This
- 12:25Speaker 2: is part of a process. It's so important getting to
- 12:28Speaker 2: know yourself. It's talking to yourself. This is the most
- 12:31Speaker 2: important person in your whole life. And we don't realize that,
- 12:34Speaker 2: but we've got to stop and look at that.
- 12:36Speaker 3: And it's it's a.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It's not always easy, but it is. And then it's
- 12:43Speaker 2: like not even cared about who's around. I had someone
- 12:45Speaker 2: telling me yesterday because we were kind of talking about
- 12:47Speaker 2: this and she says, yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 3: She says, well, she said I saw a post about that.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Recently, and she said, yeah, I kind of quite doing
- 12:52Speaker 2: that when I walked to our own Walmart because I
- 12:54Speaker 2: was getting looked that funny and I thought, oh, that's hilarious,
- 12:58Speaker 2: Like that's hilarious.
- 12:59Speaker 3: But it's just such a natural thing.
- 13:01Speaker 2: And for me it wasn't natural, but it's comfortable.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and you can use that tool to help you
- 13:09Speaker 3: process your grief exactly as Viby is doing.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, good friend, how old is she?
- 13:16Speaker 3: She's uh, six six?
- 13:19Speaker 1: She had a six year old little girl walking around
- 13:21Speaker 1: crying and talking out loud about whatever her words are.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't know so, but.
- 13:29Speaker 3: She just doesn't understand. I don't understand why can't he
- 13:31Speaker 3: just be here?
- 13:33Speaker 1: So maybe maybe Grandma says he is here always.
- 13:39Speaker 2: That's what Arianna says, you know, that's what she's saying
- 13:41Speaker 2: to her too. But it's it's the same, but it is,
- 13:44Speaker 2: and it's and then I go through my own parts,
- 13:46Speaker 2: so it's like it's like sitting with this stuff. Because
- 13:48Speaker 2: then I felt like, well, I should just go into
- 13:51Speaker 2: town and go over and see Vivy and see how
- 13:52Speaker 2: she's doing. But it's like, no, I need I'm not
- 13:56Speaker 2: being called upon. This is something for them to work through.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So it's not something that I need to fix, because
- 14:00Speaker 2: that's that fixer in me. But from where I'm at
- 14:03Speaker 2: right here, I can send lots of love I can't
- 14:07Speaker 2: And which what does that help me do? It helps
- 14:09Speaker 2: me to focus on my heart. So now it's not
- 14:12Speaker 2: in the doing phase that I would typically want to
- 14:14Speaker 2: go into. It's from the if I have to put
- 14:17Speaker 2: my hand on my heart to remind myself, or I
- 14:19Speaker 2: point at my heart, or I just think about now, okay,
- 14:22Speaker 2: I want to operate through my heart.
- 14:23Speaker 3: And so that's what I've been doing.
- 14:25Speaker 2: That helps me walk through these processes with myself and
- 14:28Speaker 2: then everybody else.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah. Also, yeah, and that the if mom was.
- 14:41Speaker 1: To choose your daughter was to choose to go buy
- 14:44Speaker 1: a kitten, then that would just be being a fixer
- 14:48Speaker 1: to her daughter's emotional discomfort. And so then that the
- 14:55Speaker 1: teaching point is when we experience this emotion, this is
- 15:00Speaker 1: what this is how we fix it, instead of when
- 15:05Speaker 1: we feel this emotion, this is how we process it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: So I hope people can hear that I was sitting
- 15:14Speaker 1: with a lady.
- 15:15Speaker 4: We went to a.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Celebration of life yesterday and it was a pretty good
- 15:22Speaker 1: group of people there. But afterwards, one of the ladies
- 15:28Speaker 1: that was there, her and I were going to have
- 15:30Speaker 1: lunch and going to see a play, and she was
- 15:35Speaker 1: on the fence about staying. She felt bad about leaving
- 15:37Speaker 1: because it wasn't over yet and all this stuff. And
- 15:39Speaker 1: then she's she talked to some people that she had
- 15:42Speaker 1: known who.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Were part of our history, and it triggered.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Some emotions in her because she her husband passed.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Earlier this year, and.
- 15:54Speaker 1: It triggered the emotions in her because of the experiences
- 15:58Speaker 1: she had with this couple that were very significant in
- 16:02Speaker 1: her life years past, and she was like talking about it.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Her and I went to lunch and she was talking
- 16:09Speaker 1: about it and she's getting emotional and she's like, oh,
- 16:11Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, I'm so emotional.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Baah.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Like listen, there's no timeframe, and that's just that's the
- 16:17Speaker 1: beauty about transitioning, about having new experiences, about closing one
- 16:24Speaker 1: door walking through another. There's no timeframe on how long
- 16:29Speaker 1: you grieve. And I think people have heard this over
- 16:32Speaker 1: and over and over, but when that emotion again, Like
- 16:36Speaker 1: you said, you never know when that emotion is going
- 16:37Speaker 1: to come up and surface you. You could be standing
- 16:41Speaker 1: in the grocery store and look at a can of
- 16:42Speaker 1: soup and just start bawling. Right, it's so random, But
- 16:46Speaker 1: it's because that cand of soup triggered a.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Memory in you.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And and and she's just apologized. I said, don't apologize.
- 16:56Speaker 1: There's nothing to be sorry for. There's no time frame.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I said, it's still even very fresh to you that
- 17:03Speaker 1: this has happened. And it's yeah, stop apologizing for your
- 17:09Speaker 1: emotional experience. If you are triggered in some way because
- 17:13Speaker 1: of something that has happened, just let the emotion flow,
- 17:18Speaker 1: is what I want to want people to hear. So
- 17:21Speaker 1: can we just run through some things, kind of reiterate
- 17:26Speaker 1: some tools to help people that we've talked about. Maybe
- 17:29Speaker 1: there's something else, and then we'll wrap this up.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yeah, therapeutically walking, you know, that's going outside, getting outdoors, walking,
- 17:40Speaker 2: going to the gym, working out. But that for me
- 17:42Speaker 2: again would be a path of LEAs resistance too. So
- 17:45Speaker 2: when you talk about we sometimes you just get emotional.
- 17:48Speaker 2: You don't even know where the stuff come from. I
- 17:49Speaker 2: could be doing a poll up, like so serious and
- 17:51Speaker 2: be working out and all of a sudden something would
- 17:54Speaker 2: hit me and I would just start crying.
- 17:55Speaker 3: I'd have to go to the bathroom because I'd be
- 17:56Speaker 3: crying so much.
- 17:57Speaker 2: And it's like, and I understand we had the apologizing
- 18:01Speaker 2: thing because that's a childhood trauma because we weren't allowed
- 18:04Speaker 2: to feel those feelings.
- 18:04Speaker 3: But now we're.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Saying to our inner child, it's okay for you to
- 18:08Speaker 2: feel these feelings. So we go back to the whole
- 18:10Speaker 2: thing writing. You want to write things down, listen to music, dance, sing,
- 18:16Speaker 2: talk to somebody else, talk to yourself, talk to somebody
- 18:19Speaker 2: that wants that has a good heart and likes to listen.
- 18:22Speaker 2: And they don't have to always fix things because I.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Was the fix.
- 18:25Speaker 2: You're raising kids to fix. But yeah, but we're just
- 18:29Speaker 2: going through the whole process of giving ourselves break, meditation, breath, work.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Like there's funny videos, you know, setting yourself up like
- 18:40Speaker 2: on your phone to have like all these different things,
- 18:42Speaker 2: like you know when you're in this kind of a
- 18:44Speaker 2: mood from this that because you know yourself so well
- 18:47Speaker 2: that I'm going to listen to this music because it
- 18:48Speaker 2: always raises me up or when this happens. I know
- 18:51Speaker 2: that if I look at funny kittens and puppies and
- 18:53Speaker 2: baby videos, I'll be laughing in no time, and then
- 18:56Speaker 2: this I'll be past that emotion.
- 18:58Speaker 1: So yeah, I think in almost every video that we've
- 19:08Speaker 1: done where we talk about tools, writing is number one.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You grab a pen and paper and just start writing
- 19:14Speaker 1: it out and just let that emotion move through you.
- 19:18Speaker 1: It's an energy that moves from your body through your arm,
- 19:21Speaker 1: through a pen, pencil to paper and just let it
- 19:24Speaker 1: flow and let yourself cry, let yourself feel it. And
- 19:30Speaker 1: the more I feel I know it's helped me. The
- 19:33Speaker 1: more you do that, the more you spend time the
- 19:36Speaker 1: writing the emotions out when it doesn't have to be
- 19:39Speaker 1: every day. Some people like to journal on a daily basis.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I do not. I do it when something is weighing
- 19:46Speaker 1: very heavy on me and I just can't get past
- 19:49Speaker 1: my own head and so I will get a pen
- 19:53Speaker 1: and paper and just start writing it out.
- 19:55Speaker 4: And then it's.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Amazing how things will come to you, like, well, do
- 19:59Speaker 1: this or do that, or right your intuitive aside or
- 20:04Speaker 1: God speaking to you however you want to refer to it.
- 20:08Speaker 1: So take the tools and utilize them to the best
- 20:12Speaker 1: of your ability, and one tool may not work all
- 20:14Speaker 1: the time. If you feel like it's not working in
- 20:16Speaker 1: the moment, then just switch it up or come back
- 20:19Speaker 1: to it.
- 20:19Speaker 4: It's okay.
- 20:20Speaker 1: But I think the most important thing when we're when
- 20:23Speaker 1: we're talking about death or transition or change is allow
- 20:28Speaker 1: your allow yourself to feel the emotion and move through it,
- 20:33Speaker 1: not suppress it.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And then when you're going through that emotion, recognize that
- 20:38Speaker 2: this too shall pass. Or you can just say it'll
- 20:42Speaker 2: pass because some.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Okay, okay, we repeat what you said, this too shall pass.
- 20:55Speaker 2: But sometimes we're going through the grief and all these
- 20:58Speaker 2: moments and we get lost and think it's never going
- 21:02Speaker 2: to end. We think it's going to be a constant.
- 21:05Speaker 2: But if we remind ourselves it's going to pass. This
- 21:07Speaker 2: is going to pass. I'm going to be okay. And
- 21:09Speaker 2: that's where we have to talk to ourselves and walk
- 21:12Speaker 2: through that process.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you think, like at our age, all
- 21:16Speaker 1: the things we've already been through, we're gonna get through
- 21:19Speaker 1: this too, so we are. It might suck for a minute,
- 21:23Speaker 1: but we're going to get through it. So we're good.
- 21:28Speaker 1: All right, friends, you got some amazing information through this,
- 21:33Speaker 1: and you probably know people are having these same conversations
- 21:37Speaker 1: or having thoughts or needing direction, and so be sure
- 21:40Speaker 1: to be resourceful, whether it's through us or other teachers
- 21:44Speaker 1: or speakers or influencers, books, podcasts, So be resourceful and
- 21:52Speaker 1: share it. We're all here to help one another and
- 21:56Speaker 1: we're easy to find.
- 21:58Speaker 3: We're on uh.

- 22:09Speaker 1: go to any of those platforms.
