- 0:05Speaker 1: The wait is over for Ripples r l USD. We'll
- 0:08Speaker 1: break it down for you guys today. My name is
- 0:10Speaker 1: Paul Barren. Welcome back in a tech path. What we're
- 0:11Speaker 1: going to show you today is going to be hot,
- 0:13Speaker 1: so stick around for all of it. I do want
- 0:16Speaker 1: to thank a sponsor and that is Uphold. Check it out.
- 0:18Speaker 1: This is a place where you can actually participate in
- 0:21Speaker 1: r l USD. Use our link down below, get some
- 0:23Speaker 1: bonuses and it's very easy. This is one of those
- 0:26Speaker 1: places that if you're brand new to crypto, this is
- 0:28Speaker 1: one that I think will be easy to set up
- 0:31Speaker 1: for you. It's great in terms of available tokens, so
- 0:34Speaker 1: a lot of flexibility over there, and they are paying
- 0:37Speaker 1: some rewards on some of your stable coins. So check
- 0:39Speaker 1: it out. Use our link. Let's get into it. I
- 0:41Speaker 1: do want to start off with this right here, which
- 0:44Speaker 1: was Ripples announcement. Our l USD is launching globally tomorrow
- 0:48Speaker 1: and of course the launch partners. We've shown this a
- 0:51Speaker 1: couple of times when we've had some of these people
- 0:52Speaker 1: on the show Moon Pay Uphold Coinmina, Bitso, etc. We
- 0:57Speaker 1: will see a global launch of our lust today and
- 1:01Speaker 1: there's a lot happening within this. I want to get
- 1:03Speaker 1: into a lot of detail because there's some very key
- 1:05Speaker 1: things that could really start to cause some movement within
- 1:10Speaker 1: XRP as a whole. All right, So here's another quick note.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Alongside the announcement, they also brought in some new advisors.
- 1:17Speaker 1: One of them, of course, is former governor of the
- 1:19Speaker 1: Reserve Bank of India. And if you look at who
- 1:21Speaker 1: that is and just the size of the Reserve Bank
- 1:24Speaker 1: of India, they are number eleven on the overall reserves globally,
- 1:29Speaker 1: so absolutely huge for the future of Ripple. Other things
- 1:34Speaker 1: that you have to consider is the CEO of that
- 1:37Speaker 1: group is on the shortlist for the Bricks Bank chief posts.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So remember Bricks. We talked about this many times, is
- 1:43Speaker 1: that there's a lot of functionality within bricks when it
- 1:47Speaker 1: comes to moving money around because of the nations that
- 1:49Speaker 1: are looking at using something maybe outside the dollar. So
- 1:53Speaker 1: what happens there when you look at the advisors, You've
- 1:56Speaker 1: got Raj right there, but also Sheila Bert, she's the
- 1:59Speaker 1: former chair of the fdi C. All right, So I
- 2:02Speaker 1: want to go to a clip of Sheila talking about
- 2:04Speaker 1: stable coins. This is actually six years ago. Take a look.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Tell me about a fed coin and how that would
- 2:09Speaker 2: change the financial landscape. Well, I think that's years down
- 2:13Speaker 2: the road, but they do need to be looking at it.
- 2:15Speaker 2: There's a lot of private efforts to have what's called
- 2:17Speaker 2: a stable value digital currency. If a private entity really
- 2:20Speaker 2: did find a stable value cryptocurrency, that would be widely accepted.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I think there could be a real, you know, a
- 2:27Speaker 2: flight away another different kind of bank round, a flight
- 2:30Speaker 2: out of banks into that cryptocurrency. And I think that's
- 2:33Speaker 2: still years off, but it's happening. There are a lot
- 2:35Speaker 2: of startups, a lot of very smart people investing in
- 2:37Speaker 2: these startups. It's about one point nine five percent. Now,
- 2:40Speaker 2: it doesn't trickle down. I just went to a large
- 2:43Speaker 2: bank I won't name to open up a savings account
- 2:45Speaker 2: for my daughter and I said, well, what's the what's
- 2:47Speaker 2: the interest rate on this? And they said zero point
- 2:49Speaker 2: oh one percent, So you know, and this kind of
- 2:51Speaker 2: you know yea, So if you want people to save
- 2:54Speaker 2: more by increasing interest rates in borrow less, this is
- 2:58Speaker 2: not an efficient way to do it. If you actually
- 3:00Speaker 2: had some level of control and ways to transmit those
- 3:06Speaker 2: higher interest rates into consumer pockets, I think you would
- 3:09Speaker 2: have a very different monetary dynamic point one percent, even
- 3:13Speaker 2: if it's not on the federal res.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Interesting that she was forecasting that because obviously we started
- 3:18Speaker 1: to see performance and yield coming in on stable coins
- 3:20Speaker 1: over the last really twenty four months. And one of
- 3:23Speaker 1: the things that happens with stable coins, of course, is
- 3:25Speaker 1: how they're audited to ensure the reserves are in place. Well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: they're going to be Ripple is going to be audited
- 3:31Speaker 1: monthly and give full transparency of their report of their
- 3:34Speaker 1: reserves in these reports. So that's a good thing. If
- 3:37Speaker 1: you compare this to what's been happening in the banking ecosystem.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Remember Silicon Valley National Bank. That was one example where
- 3:45Speaker 1: you guys understand this fractional reserve banking has been around
- 3:48Speaker 1: for some time, but that was where it was really exploited.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Take a look at this clip.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Probably seventy five percent of American employees and I'm guessing
- 3:57Speaker 3: are dependent on uninsured and uninsured deposits to get their paychecks.
- 4:02Speaker 4: If we get in a situation there where fears starts
- 4:04Speaker 4: driving behavior by uninsured deposits, not necessarily fundamentals about how
- 4:08Speaker 4: good the bank is, but fear, then they are going
- 4:11Speaker 4: to have what's called liquidity failures.
- 4:12Speaker 3: This is not These are not average depositors. So there
- 4:15Speaker 3: are people there that had hundreds of millions of dollars.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I mean, you've got Roku that had I don't know,
- 4:20Speaker 3: five hundred million dollars in there. These are not mom
- 4:24Speaker 3: and pop investors and mom and pop depositors that put
- 4:27Speaker 3: in a little bit of money, saving it for a
- 4:29Speaker 3: rainy day like that.
- 4:30Speaker 2: But it is bigger than that.
- 4:32Speaker 3: The point is that the entire banking system.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Of the world.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Oh did we lose him? Yeah, son of a bitch.
- 4:43Speaker 3: He just said the entire banking system of the world,
- 4:46Speaker 3: and then we lost him. Holy shit, Now what do
- 4:50Speaker 3: we do? Mark Cuban just created a bank run the
- 4:54Speaker 3: entire banking system of the world.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I'm sure he's going to say it was perfectly safe
- 4:58Speaker 4: and sound.
- 5:00Speaker 1: The problem is if we do see a stable coin
- 5:02Speaker 1: start to pay yields, you're going to see potentially huge
- 5:05Speaker 1: amounts of money come over and this could could include businesses.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And what Cuban was kind of alluding to there was
- 5:11Speaker 1: is that most all of banks that are out there
- 5:14Speaker 1: are holding dollars that basically transact in in payroll. Payroll
- 5:20Speaker 1: is one of the biggest exposures out there. So this
- 5:22Speaker 1: is a big factor going forward, and I think this
- 5:24Speaker 1: is one that we need to keep an eye on
- 5:26Speaker 1: very closely. Further in the report here on Ripple and
- 5:30Speaker 1: we'll kind of break down some of this. One of
- 5:32Speaker 1: the things that's going to happen here very soon. He
- 5:34Speaker 1: is the FDIC chair Gruenberg. He's going to be stepping
- 5:37Speaker 1: down or most likely will get fired by President elect
- 5:39Speaker 1: Ronald Trump. But the cool thing is we've got the
- 5:42Speaker 1: potential person coming in. This is a Republican vice chair,
- 5:46Speaker 1: Travis Hill. He is pro crypto, so that's another advantage
- 5:49Speaker 1: to the FDIIC that potentially could come in, even though
- 5:52Speaker 1: it is possible that Bayer could also come back in
- 5:55Speaker 1: as the chair of the FDI. See all of this
- 5:57Speaker 1: again good for crypto as a whole. The other thing
- 6:01Speaker 1: to take note here is remember that right now USDC
- 6:05Speaker 1: is most likely the big yield earner out there. It's
- 6:08Speaker 1: a very small fraction of the market. In fact, it's
- 6:11Speaker 1: mostly small retail that's earning yield on that even though
- 6:14Speaker 1: and that mainly has been because most of the money
- 6:16Speaker 1: market funds are still paying five percent or close to
- 6:20Speaker 1: But if we start to see a reduction in money
- 6:22Speaker 1: market funds, then you're going to start to look at
- 6:24Speaker 1: the potential here of a federally regulated stable coin. Remember
- 6:30Speaker 1: RLUSD has been approved in New York by the regulators
- 6:33Speaker 1: and the potential of a stable coin bill all aligning
- 6:36Speaker 1: at the same time. What does that mean? That means
- 6:39Speaker 1: early next year ripple Payments will now use RLUSD to
- 6:42Speaker 1: facilitate global payments. This is going across almost seventy billion
- 6:46Speaker 1: in payment volume near what was it, ninety plus payout markets,
- 6:50Speaker 1: representing about ninety percent of the coverage in the total
- 6:54Speaker 1: FX market. So URLUSD is available both on XRP Ledger
- 6:58Speaker 1: and also on Etherory, both those I think will benefit
- 7:01Speaker 1: from this. Keep a close eye on this. Other things.
- 7:03Speaker 1: If you take a look at what's happening out there
- 7:05Speaker 1: on the trust lines on XRP scan, you go over
- 7:08Speaker 1: and you guys can do this yourself, but you click
- 7:10Speaker 1: trust lines scan down to the bottom real quick, and
- 7:12Speaker 1: then you'll get a chance. We've shown this for the
- 7:15Speaker 1: last couple of weeks. This right now hovering in on
- 7:18Speaker 1: what is that almost twenty four thousand trust lines. Last
- 7:22Speaker 1: time we checked in it was around nineteen thousand, so
- 7:24Speaker 1: it's continuing to climb on trust lines for sure. Another
- 7:29Speaker 1: thing that's hitting right here, of course, is David Schwartz.
- 7:33Speaker 1: There's actually someone willing to pay, possibly someone willing to
- 7:35Speaker 1: pay twelve hundred bucks our lust for a tiny fraction
- 7:39Speaker 1: of one r l usd tools. This is going to
- 7:42Speaker 1: basically show you that it's more of a collector's But
- 7:44Speaker 1: the point is is the price will come back to
- 7:46Speaker 1: a buck real soon. We'll most likely see a little
- 7:49Speaker 1: bit of volatility there. Do not Fomo into a stable coin.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I agree with him for sure, But the point is
- 7:55Speaker 1: is there's big demand, and I think that in itself
- 7:58Speaker 1: is very unique. Look at the top three use cases
- 8:01Speaker 1: of stable coins right here. Ninety one percent in crypto
- 8:04Speaker 1: trading accepted most likely yep, no problem, and peer to
- 8:07Speaker 1: peer payments seventy percent also expected. But this one surprised me,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and that is sixty three percent of savings people actually
- 8:14Speaker 1: putting cash into stable coins earning yield on these networks,
- 8:19Speaker 1: whether it's on exchanges, in wallets, in platforms like uphold,
- 8:24Speaker 1: others out there that are really starting to pay off there.
- 8:28Speaker 1: This one surprised me a little bit. Imagine what happens
- 8:30Speaker 1: when companies can do that. That's a big, big step. Now,
- 8:34Speaker 1: remember we put out a couple of notes. This is
- 8:36Speaker 1: when we put out over the weekend marketing idea for
- 8:40Speaker 1: our lust Ripple Ayer drops one dollars, so everyone who's
- 8:42Speaker 1: set up a trust line currently holds at least one
- 8:44Speaker 1: XRP and XP markets liked it, so hopefully maybe we'll
- 8:50Speaker 1: see something like that now. Uphold also put out a
- 8:52Speaker 1: statement just here the other day, and Uphold is going
- 8:55Speaker 1: to integrate our LUSD. We already talked to Nancy and
- 8:58Speaker 1: the team over there, but they're going to put this
- 9:00Speaker 1: in a reward center program starting in January just here
- 9:02Speaker 1: a couple of weeks, and that way users can now
- 9:05Speaker 1: earn rewards for buying and holding r l USD. So
- 9:09Speaker 1: again more value here to the XRP ecosystem. So the
- 9:13Speaker 1: likelihood of popularity in this use case is only going
- 9:15Speaker 1: to drive the token price up. Rip will also partner
- 9:18Speaker 1: with saft Bank soft Bank. Now we've showed this a
- 9:20Speaker 1: couple of times, and if you think of just the
- 9:24Speaker 1: partnership with soft Bank and really kind of the evolution
- 9:27Speaker 1: of where digital banking could go, MASA has been this
- 9:31Speaker 1: is the CEO of SoftBank. They have been on the
- 9:33Speaker 1: forefront of a lot of these early tech adoptions. Now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: coincidentally this happened today with President Trump and the soft
- 9:42Speaker 1: Bank CEO coincidentally aligning up to the r l USD launch.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Interesting timing.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Take a look, take a lot. I'm now excited to
- 9:55Speaker 5: commit this one hundred billion dollars and one hundred thousand
- 9:59Speaker 5: jobs to the United States. This is double of last
- 10:04Speaker 5: time because I say, oh, President Trump, he is a
- 10:08Speaker 5: double down president. I'm gonna have to double down. You know,
- 10:11Speaker 5: this is my confidence.
- 10:15Speaker 4: I like it.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Double down President, double down on the investment. So here's
- 10:19Speaker 1: a tweet right here, partner with SoftBank to announce a
- 10:22Speaker 1: hunter billion in the US investment right there. So remember
- 10:25Speaker 1: when Ripple hired ex soft Bank director head of public policy.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Well that was Ripple appointing an ex SoftBank director as
- 10:32Speaker 1: head of public policy. So all of this lining up, guys,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm telling you there is a lot brewing out there,
- 10:39Speaker 1: all right. So I want to go into the advisory
- 10:41Speaker 1: board and of course there's Sheila right there, there's Raj
- 10:44Speaker 1: right there, This is Bank India, and then right there
- 10:47Speaker 1: is Kenneth Montgomery all right, you guys probably recognize this
- 10:50Speaker 1: face right maybe, well, let me play a clip.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Today businesses and consumers want to send and receive money
- 10:56Speaker 2: in seconds. So the time for modernizing our nation's pan
- 11:00Speaker 2: system is now.
- 11:01Speaker 4: That's why the Federal Reserves work is progressing rapidly for
- 11:05Speaker 4: the FED now service, a new infrastructure for instant payments.
- 11:10Speaker 1: All right, So just think about that, the potential of
- 11:12Speaker 1: FED now, potential of RLUSD, the potential of what happens
- 11:16Speaker 1: within the ecosystem. Then you have to leap to the
- 11:18Speaker 1: next potential here, and that is Japan's banking system is
- 11:22Speaker 1: poised to adopt XRP by twenty twenty five. Right there,
- 11:26Speaker 1: it is CEO of SBI we've showed this before, has
- 11:29Speaker 1: announced that all banks in Japan might adopt XRP by
- 11:32Speaker 1: as earl as twenty twenty five. Again, this is another
- 11:35Speaker 1: G twenty that starts to look at the potential of
- 11:38Speaker 1: a digital currency. Could it be RLUSD? All right, so guys,
- 11:43Speaker 1: get out there, get some RLUSD on these launch partners,
- 11:46Speaker 1: set up your trust lines, get moving on it, and
- 11:48Speaker 1: of course we always love to get your feedbacks. Make
- 11:50Speaker 1: sure and leaves some comments down below, and if you're
- 11:52Speaker 1: not in our diamond circle, get in on that as well.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Catch me out there on X at Paul Barret. We'll
- 11:56Speaker 1: catch you next time right here on tech Path
- 12:01Speaker 3: Permut
