April 11 - Hope for the Unspoken Heart · Bible Chat Devotional

• 0:02
Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, April 11th.
• 0:11
When your heart feels heavy, there are some weights you
• 0:14
cannot explain easily. You try to smile, answer
• 0:17
messages, finish your work, and act normal, but deep down your
• 0:20
heart feels tired. Maybe it is disappointment,
• 0:24
anxiety, loneliness, pressure, grief, or just the kind of
• 0:28
sadness that does not have neat words.
• 0:31
Proverbs chapter 14 verses 10:50 says the heart knows its own
• 0:35
bitterness and no stranger shares its joy.
• 0:38
That means God understands something important about us.
• 0:42
There are parts of your inner life that other people may never
• 0:45
fully see, but the fact that others do not fully understand
• 0:49
does not mean you are alone. Psalm 42, verse 11 speaks right
• 0:54
into that heaviness. Why are you cast down, Oh my
• 0:57
soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
• 0:59
Hope in God. I love that because it is
• 1:02
honest. The writer does not pretend to
• 1:05
feel strong. He talks to his own soul in the
• 1:08
middle of the struggle. He names the turmoil, but he
• 1:11
does not let despair have the final word.
• 1:14
He tells his heart where to look.
• 1:15
Hope in God Then Jesus says in Mark Chapter 11 verse 24,
• 1:21
whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received
• 1:24
it and it will be yours. That is not a blank check for
• 1:27
selfish wishes. It is an invitation to trust
• 1:31
that God hears you when you pray.
• 1:33
Your heavy heart is not a burden he is tired of carrying.
• 1:36
He welcomes it. He listens, he cares.
• 1:39
So today, do not hide your pain from God.
• 1:43
Bring him what feels tangled and messy.
• 1:45
Bring Him the tears you have not cried yet, the questions you
• 1:48
cannot answer, the fear you do not want to admit.
• 1:51
He sees you completely and loves you fully.
• 1:55
A heavy heart can still hope, A hurting soul can still pray, and
• 1:58
God is still near. Let's pray.
• 2:01
Heavenly Father, thank you for seeing the parts of my heart
• 2:04
that no one else fully understands.
• 2:07
When I feel heavy, tired, or overwhelmed, help me bring
• 2:10
everything to You in prayer. Teach my soul to hope in You
• 2:13
even before I see things change. Fill me with peace, strength and
• 2:18
the quiet confidence that you are near and you care in Jesus
• 2:21
name, Amen. What if you could rise up and
• 2:28
declare with full spiritual authority, I shall not die, but
• 2:32
live Death Defeated is a powerful five book prayer series

Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
• 3:27
Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 14 verses 10 to
• 3:33
11 World English Bible. The heart knows its own
• 3:36
bitterness and joy. He will not share these with a
• 3:39
stranger. The House of the wicked will be
• 3:42
overthrown, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
• 3:45
Psalm chapter 42. World English Bible for the
• 3:49
chief musician. A contemplation by the sons of
• 3:52
Korra. As the deer pants for the water
• 3:55
brooks, so my soul pants after you God.
• 3:58
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
• 4:01
When shall I come and appear before God?
• 4:04
My tears have been my food day and night, while they
• 4:06
continually ask me, Where is your God?
• 4:09
These things I remember and pour out my soul within me.
• 4:12
How I used to go with the crowd and LED them to God's house with
• 4:16
the voice of joy and praise. A multitude keeping a holy day.
• 4:21
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me?
• 4:25
Hope in God, for I shall still praise Him for the saving help
• 4:28
of His presence. My God, my soul is in despair
• 4:31
within me. Therefore I remember you from
• 4:34
the land of the Jordan, the heights of Herman, from the hill
• 4:37
Mizar. Deep calls to deep at the noise
• 4:40
of your waterfalls, all your waves and your billows have
• 4:43
swept over me. Yahweh will command his loving
• 4:46
kindness in the daytime, In the night his song shall be with me,
• 4:50
a prayer to the God of my life. I will ask God, my rock, why
• 4:54
have you forgotten me? Why do I go morning?
• 4:57
Because of the oppression of the enemy, as with a sword in my
• 5:00
  bones. My adversaries reproach me,
• 5:03
while they continually ask me, where is your God?
• 5:06
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me?
• 5:12
Hope in God, for I shall still praise him the saving help of my
• 5:15
countenance and my God. Mark Chapter 11 World English
• 5:19
Bible When they came near to Jerusalem, to Beth's fidge and
• 5:23
Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples and
• 5:27
said to them, Go your way into the village that is opposite
• 5:30
you. Immediately as you enter into it
• 5:33
you will find a young donkey tied on which no one is SAT.
• 5:37
Untie him and bring him. If anyone asks you why are you
• 5:41
doing this, say the Lord needs him and immediately he will send
• 5:44
him back here. They went away and found a young
• 5:48
donkey tied at the door outside in the open St. and they united
• 5:52
him. Some of those who stood there
• 5:54
asked them what are you doing untying the young donkey?
• 5:58
They said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
• 6:03
They brought the young donkey to Jesus and threw their garments
• 6:05
on it, and Jesus sat on it. Many spread their garments on
• 6:10
the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees and
• 6:13
spreading them on the road. Those who went in front and
• 6:16
those who followed cried out Hosanna.
• 6:20
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
• 6:23
Blessed is the Kingdom of our Father David that is coming in
• 6:26
the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest Jesus
• 6:30
entered into the temple in Jerusalem.
• 6:32
When he had looked around at everything, it being now
• 6:35
evening, he went out to Bethany with the 12.
• 6:38
The next day when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
• 6:42
Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if
• 6:45
perhaps he might find anything on it.
• 6:48
When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was
• 6:51
not the season for figs. Jesus told it, May no one ever
• 6:55
eat fruit from you again. And his disciples heard it.
• 6:59
They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple
• 7:03
and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the
• 7:06
temple and overthrew the money changers, tables and the seats
• 7:10
of those who sold the doves. He would not allow anyone to
• 7:14
carry a container through the temple.
• 7:16
He taught, saying to them, Isn't it written, My house will be
• 7:20
called a House of prayer for all the nations, But you have made
• 7:24
it a den of robbers. The chief priests and the
• 7:26
scribes heard it and sought how they might destroy him, for they
• 7:31
feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his
• 7:34
teaching. When evening came, he went out
• 7:36
of the city. As they passed by in the
• 7:39
morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
• 7:42
Peter, remembering, said to him, Rabbi, look, the fig tree which
• 7:47
you curse it has withered away. Jesus answered them, Have faith
• 7:51
in God. For most certainly I tell you,
• 7:54
whoever may tell this mountain be taken up and cast into the
• 7:57
sea, and doesn't doubt in his heart, but believes that what he
• 8:01
says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
• 8:06
Therefore I tell you all things, whatever you pray and ask for,
• 8:09
believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
• 8:13
Whenever you stand praying. Forgive if you have anything
• 8:16
against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven may also
• 8:20
forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive,
• 8:24
neither will your Father in heaven forgive your
• 8:26
transgressions. They came again to Jerusalem,
• 8:29
and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the
• 8:32
scribes and the elders came to him, and they began saying to
• 8:36
him, By what authority do you do these things?
• 8:40
Or who gave you this authority to do these things?
• 8:43
Jesus said to them, I will ask you one question, answer me and
• 8:47
I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
• 8:51
The baptism of John, was it from heaven or from men?
• 8:55
Answer me. They reason with themselves
• 8:57
saying, if we should say from heaven, he will say, why then
• 9:00
did you not believe him? If we should say from men?
• 9:03
They feared the people for all hailed John to really be a
• 9:07
prophet. They answered Jesus, we don't
• 9:10
know. Jesus said to them, Neither will
• 9:13
I tell you by what authority I do these things.
