- 0:14Speaker 2: This is the best of Stugatz and Company live on
- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 3: What a weekend. Taylor, what a weekend. I am dizzy.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I'm exhausted. And that was just from Saturday.
- 0:29Speaker 4: That's sauce gardener there's always something up with sauce gardener
- 0:32Speaker 4: more like soft gardener.
- 0:34Speaker 1: That trade keeps looking better and better i can't believe
- 0:37Speaker 1: i'm saying this but the jets did something right the.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Jets gm has earned another year no doubt i don't
- 0:43Speaker 4: think aaron glenn has no muji the gm has definitely
- 0:46Speaker 4: earned another year.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Aaron glenn is not even acting like he wants another
- 0:50Speaker 1: year i'm serious The idea that he doesn't know that
- 0:54Speaker 1: his team doesn't have the ball to start the second
- 0:56Speaker 1: half and he comes off the field during the first half,
- 0:59Speaker 1: gives an interview and acts like his team does have
- 1:01Speaker 1: the ball.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I'm not certain Aaron Glenn wants to be the head
- 1:03Speaker 3: coach of the Jets.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I think it's a very simple solution when it comes
- 1:07Speaker 4: to Aaron Glenn, because I think you're right. I think
- 1:09Speaker 4: Aaron Glenn knows he's in way over his head.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:12Speaker 4: And some people were just born to be coordinators. Aaron
- 1:15Speaker 4: Glenn was one of them who was born to be
- 1:16Speaker 4: a coordinator. The Jets defense still to their credit is good.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I think if at the end of the season, you
- 1:22Speaker 4: just go to Aaron Glenn and you say, Aaron, thank
- 1:24Speaker 4: you for your work as head coach. We'd like to
- 1:27Speaker 4: make you the defensive coordinator. I think Aaron Glenn signs
- 1:29Speaker 4: up for that.
- 1:30Speaker 3: A demotion. Yes.
- 1:32Speaker 4: I think Aaron Glenn looks at himself in the mirror
- 1:34Speaker 4: and says, I'm not cut out to be the head coach.
- 1:36Speaker 4: I love this Jets organization. I know I'm not the
- 1:39Speaker 4: best man for the job. I will be the defensive
- 1:42Speaker 4: coordinator here.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I think you're right. I think I agree with you.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I do.
- 1:45Speaker 3: 877-99 on Fox.
- 1:46Speaker 1: We have the weekend observations coming up here in about
- 1:50Speaker 1: 10 minutes. We'll bring in Bear and T-Bob for our
- 1:54Speaker 1: number two to discuss what was maybe the best college football.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Saturday of all time.
- 1:59Speaker 1: But first, we have Taylor's top 10 power rankings from
- 2:04Speaker 1: the NFL.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Give me the music. So I know you wanted Dan
- 2:11Speaker 3: Byer near a microphone.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Was that for Dan just to comment on your top
- 2:14Speaker 1: 10 from the NFL?
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I would like Dan's feedback on my top 10.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Okay, Dan, you there?
- 2:18Speaker 5: I am here, guys.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Are you excited for this? I have never wanted anything
- 2:23Speaker 6: more in my life.
- 2:24Speaker 3: All right. Again, this is Taylor's top 10 power ranking
- 2:27Speaker 3: from the NFL. All right. Come on. Yeah, I'm excited.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I am. You seem to be faking it.
- 2:34Speaker 5: What are you talking about?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 6: I've got a pen and paper in front of me.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I've got a pen and paper in front of me.
- 2:41Speaker 6: My only question, are we going 10 to 1, or
- 2:42Speaker 6: are we going 1 to 10? 10 to 1.
- 2:44Speaker 4: 10 to 1.
- 2:45Speaker 5: 10 to 1, yes.
- 2:47Speaker 1: We need to build up to number 1, although that's
- 2:49Speaker 1: a fair question because you never know around here. So
- 2:52Speaker 1: a fair question. All right, Taylor, take it away. We
- 2:55Speaker 1: have the NFL music, the Fox music behind you. The
- 2:57Speaker 1: floor is yours.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Number 10. The Minnesota Vikings, they have a great defense.
- 3:04Speaker 4: There's no denying that with the Vikings sitting at 5-0.
- 3:07Speaker 4: I want to see the Vikings against a quarterback with
- 3:09Speaker 4: a pulse, though.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so do I. J.J.
- 3:14Speaker 1: McCarthy, another quarterback that the quarterback whisperer has let go
- 3:17Speaker 1: and did good things at the end of the game
- 3:18Speaker 1: for the Giants. It might be their starter next week.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I can't figure that team out. They're undefeated.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Dan, how do you feel about that?
- 3:24Speaker 6: Well, I have a question for Taylor. Did you make
- 3:26Speaker 6: the top 10 and then realize, oh, yeah, the Vikings
- 3:28Speaker 6: were on by? I got to include them in my
- 3:30Speaker 6: top 10 because they're undefeated? Or is this just a
- 3:33Speaker 6: solid 10 spot for Minnesota?
- 3:35Speaker 4: They're just a solid 10 spot. There are teams that
- 3:38Speaker 4: I wanted to include over them, but... One of the
- 3:41Speaker 4: only undefeated teams in the NFL. I said, I have
- 3:44Speaker 4: to give the Vikings their credit. They're number 10. You
- 3:46Speaker 4: got to put them in the top third. So what
- 3:49Speaker 4: do you want to see him do? What was the
- 3:50Speaker 4: point again? I want to see how they look against
- 3:52Speaker 4: a quarterback with a pulse.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:54Speaker 4: So they play the Colts this week, which is not
- 3:56Speaker 4: the best test. But then you look up their upcoming schedule.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Lions, Bills, Packers.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yes. But they played the Packers already and beat them.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Yeah. Second half.
- 4:06Speaker 3: They played Chicago. I believe Caleb Williams was healthy for
- 4:08Speaker 3: that game. Rainy. They held them to three points.
- 4:13Speaker 4: In the rain.
- 4:16Speaker 5: They hurt Caleb Williams.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yes. And then they put, well, yes. Not making fun
- 4:21Speaker 3: of quarterback injuries, did it?
- 4:24Speaker 1: And then they played Tyler Shuck at a time where
- 4:25Speaker 1: I think Shuck was the hottest quarterback going in the NFL.
- 4:28Speaker 3: One of them, at least. And they held him to
- 4:30Speaker 3: 13 points. But you want to see more? Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Mainly Josh Allen.
- 4:36Speaker 3: They play him in a couple of weeks.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Number nine.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:39Speaker 4: The Houston Texans at two and four.
- 4:42Speaker 3: They're good.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Dan, what, what this boils down to for me, there
- 4:46Speaker 4: are not five quarterbacks in football. I'd take over CJ
- 4:48Speaker 4: Stroud right now.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I wouldn't.
- 4:50Speaker 6: Oh, I don't know if it's five, but yes, CJ
- 4:53Speaker 6: Stroud was never the problem in Houston.
- 4:55Speaker 5: I think yesterday shows it. He's the reason that they won.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yeah. What do you think? It's six.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Maybe, um, Seven.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Eight. Yeah, eight.
- 5:04Speaker 5: We'll say eight.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Because you would take Drake May over C.J. Stroud. Is
- 5:09Speaker 3: that debatable?
- 5:09Speaker 4: That's debatable.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Not so sure.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 3: All right. But we would take Josh Allen. Yes, of course.
- 5:16Speaker 3: We would take Lamar Jackson. Yes, of course. Yes. You
- 5:19Speaker 3: would take Joe Burrow. Yes. Yes. You would take Trevor Lawrence. No. No.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:25Speaker 3: But you would take Patrick Mahomes. Yes.
- 5:27Speaker 5: That's four.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Okay. You would take, let me scroll down here. You
- 5:32Speaker 3: would take Caleb Williams. Debatable.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yeah, debatable.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Brock Purdy.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Debatable.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Wow. Maybe five sounds right.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I think I nailed that.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Stafford. I put Stafford.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Oh, come on, Dan.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I know after yesterday, but I put Stafford on
- 5:55Speaker 5: that list.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:56Speaker 4: All right.
- 5:57Speaker 3: So five, six, seven, somewhere in that range.
- 5:59Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Pretty good.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Number eight for me.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Of course. Don't you dare. How about Darnold? No.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Oh, Nick's definitely not.
- 6:08Speaker 3: No.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Eight.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Number eight on the NFL power rankings. The Green Bay Packers.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I was impressed with the Green Bay Packers Sunday night
- 6:16Speaker 4: football against the Cowboys. It feels like their offense has
- 6:19Speaker 4: the ability to carve up defenses. And that's with receivers
- 6:22Speaker 4: dropping a lot of passes there in Green Bay.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Yeah. Golden and Watson.
- 6:27Speaker 6: Right now, is that tandem, they could be top five
- 6:30Speaker 6: in the NFL in wide receiver tandems.
- 6:33Speaker 3: They could be. We're six, seven, somewhere.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Chase Higgins. Go through the list.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Nakua and Devontae Adams.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Amun Ra, Jamison Williams. Five sounds about right. Yeah, it
- 6:51Speaker 5: sounds about right, yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I can't believe he got us on CJ Stroud. He's right.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gatz and
- 6:59Speaker 2: Company live weekdays at 3 p.m. Eastern, 12 p.m.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Pacific. Seven.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Number seven. The Jacksonville Jaguars coming back from London this week.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Yes.
- 7:13Speaker 4: If we get that version of Travis Hunter every Sunday,
- 7:16Speaker 4: I like the potential of this Jaguars team. If Liam
- 7:19Speaker 4: Cohn could just get out of his way and start
- 7:21Speaker 4: kicking field goals early in that first half, that's the
- 7:24Speaker 4: guy that you traded up for, that version of Travis Hunter.
- 7:27Speaker 3: No doubt. So you have the Jaguars at seven who
- 7:30Speaker 3: lost to the Texans. At nine. But they're two and four,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and the Jaguars are what, four and two? Yep. Okay.
- 7:38Speaker 5: This is body of work. Body of work.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Correct.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yes. I like it. All right. Number six.
- 7:44Speaker 4: The Carolina Panthers.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Oh, I love this team.
- 7:47Speaker 4: So Bryce Young, it feels like that was the bad
- 7:50Speaker 4: Bryce Young game yesterday. And if you look at Bryce
- 7:52Speaker 4: Young stats, if that's now the new benchmark for a
- 7:54Speaker 4: bad game from Bryce Young. Carolina takes that every time,
- 7:57Speaker 4: where he's the first quarterback since 2013 when Peyton Manning
- 8:02Speaker 4: and Drew Brees did it to throw for 280-plus passing
- 8:05Speaker 4: yards and a touchdown in each of his team's first
- 8:08Speaker 4: five games of a season. Bryce Young playing at an
- 8:11Speaker 4: MVP level.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Would you take Bryce over?
- 8:13Speaker 4: CJ Stroud?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Debatable.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Same draft class.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Dan?
- 8:17Speaker 5: Give me Stroud.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I think you're right.
- 8:20Speaker 1: It is amazing, though, fairly amazing that Bryce Young who
- 8:24Speaker 1: was criticized because he got out of the gate slowly.
- 8:26Speaker 1: He was too small. He wasn't big enough. I was
- 8:28Speaker 1: actually terrified at times for Bryce Young out there. It
- 8:31Speaker 1: is fairly amazing that 281 yards and two touchdowns is
- 8:34Speaker 1: an average game for Bryce Young.
- 8:36Speaker 3: That's where he's arrived, Dan. It's pretty funny.
- 8:38Speaker 5: They've got weapons for sure.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:40Speaker 6: They're also playing against the defense yesterday that looked like
- 8:43Speaker 6: they were extras in Silver Linings Playbook 2, the sequel.
- 8:47Speaker 5: No one knew their names. They didn't look real. There
- 8:49Speaker 5: were numbers that you had never seen before.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Who?
- 8:54Speaker 5: Pierce?
- 8:55Speaker 3: Yes. McKee? What is this? Yes, in his defense, he
- 8:58Speaker 3: does that against every defense, though. He does.
- 9:00Speaker 5: He's good. He did. Sunday Night Football, Lions, we saw it.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yep. Number five, Taylor.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Number five, the New England Patriots.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yeah, they're good.
- 9:09Speaker 4: We're getting a confident Drake May now coming off three
- 9:12Speaker 4: straight wins. It's going to take some time for A.J.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Brown to get up to speed, but come on.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Do we think A.J.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Brown just forgot how to catch the football? I think
- 9:19Speaker 4: he'll be all right.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I think he might have.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:22Speaker 6: This is the one where I scratch my head. I'm
- 9:24Speaker 6: thinking there's got to be some bias on number five.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I thought we were objective up until five. Four and two.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah, well.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Dan, can you put a guy who's dropping every single pass, A.J.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Brown, can you put him on your hands team?
- 9:43Speaker 5: The Jets. Hey, nice cover by the Jets yesterday. Thank
- 9:46Speaker 5: you very much.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Yes, they left the back door wide open. The Jets.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Jump right through it. They're close.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Some of the Raiders, by the way. Yes. They're close.
- 9:58Speaker 2: All right.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Number four here, Taylor.
- 10:00Speaker 4: So my number four team is playing tonight. It's the
- 10:03Speaker 4: San Francisco 49ers sitting at 5-0.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:07Speaker 4: They're at number four because it's an incomplete body of
- 10:10Speaker 4: work right now. There's a good chance that they would
- 10:11Speaker 4: move up after the Monday Night Football game.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:14Speaker 4: But the trend recently in these primetime games have been
- 10:17Speaker 4: the underdogs winning. So we have one eye on the commanders.
- 10:21Speaker 4: And I just don't really think the injuries are sustainable
- 10:24Speaker 4: for this 49ers team.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Okay, so Dan, I can't see you, but I can
- 10:27Speaker 1: hear your confusion all the way in Sherman Oaks, California.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Because I, too, am confused. The body of work, that's
- 10:33Speaker 3: what got you, right?
- 10:34Speaker 6: Yeah, surprised just because a win over the commanders or
- 10:38Speaker 6: the quarterback with one arm and they don't know how
- 10:40Speaker 6: to control the clock or do time management would be
- 10:44Speaker 6: worth jumping up three spots if they were to get
- 10:47Speaker 6: that win tonight. That just seems like a pretty low
- 10:49Speaker 6: bar for the 49ers if they were to jump up
- 10:52Speaker 6: to their top spot.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Not their fault they don't create the schedule. It's not
- 10:56Speaker 1: their fault that the body of work is incomplete. They
- 10:58Speaker 1: have a Monday night game tonight.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Dan, you would agree, though, the 49ers injuries, it doesn't
- 11:04Speaker 4: seem sustainable. Like, it feels like we're going to get
- 11:06Speaker 4: to the playoffs and they're going to have a patchwork
- 11:08Speaker 4: team and be like, oh, this is this is Shanahan's
- 11:11Speaker 4: excuse for why they crash out of the playoffs.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Yeah, they're old as hell, too. Like, I mean, like,
- 11:14Speaker 5: they're just old.
- 11:15Speaker 6: And so at some point to think that that's going
- 11:17Speaker 6: to last throughout an 18 week, 17 game schedule. There's
- 11:23Speaker 6: a reason why they're always hurt. Like a lot of
- 11:26Speaker 6: guys are just old. They beat the Rams. They beat Denver.
- 11:29Speaker 6: They beat Seattle on the road. Don't ask a Seahawks fan.
- 11:32Speaker 5: OK, Donald turned it over four times. All right.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Number three.
- 11:39Speaker 4: My number three team this week in Taylor's top 10
- 11:42Speaker 4: NFL power rankings. The Buffalo Bills. We love that quarterback.
- 11:48Speaker 4: All our metrics say Josh Allen is the best quarterback
- 11:51Speaker 4: in the NFL. Now they're a little, they would have
- 11:54Speaker 4: been higher if they would just cut CJ Gardner Johnson.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Cause I'm tired of CJ Gardner Johnson and such a
- 12:00Speaker 4: Bush league player. Yeah.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Suspended one game.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Just came down.
- 12:06Speaker 3: So the bills are at three. The Vikings are at 10.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I mean, all right, anyway, go ahead. It's your list.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Number two, my number two team in the NFL this week.
- 12:16Speaker 4: The Chicago bears. Now you're coming around. So Dan, in
- 12:20Speaker 4: the two games that Caleb Williams has started and finished,
- 12:24Speaker 4: the bears have averaged 45 points per game.
- 12:28Speaker 3: He's good.
- 12:30Speaker 5: It's pretty good. Yes.
- 12:33Speaker 4: It's a really good point to the Vikings point. Caleb
- 12:38Speaker 4: Williams basically played like 95% of that game.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Right.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Just got carted off.
- 12:44Speaker 5: But it doesn't count because he didn't complete it. So
- 12:47Speaker 5: it doesn't fall into the average.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And bad weather, which is why the Vikings are a 10.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Doesn't help my stat. He has the Vikings at.
- 12:55Speaker 1: 10 who are undefeated. The Bears who have a couple
- 12:58Speaker 1: of losses. The Vikings beat him head to head. The
- 13:00Speaker 1: Vikings at 10 and the Bears at two. I like it, Taylor.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Proud of you.
- 13:05Speaker 2: All right.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Number one. Number one.
- 13:07Speaker 4: I don't think there's any surprises here. I think the
- 13:09Speaker 4: AFC is going through Kansas City and my number one
- 13:12Speaker 4: team is Is the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Yes.
- 13:15Speaker 4: We gave them Kenneth Walker, a move that we will
- 13:18Speaker 4: rue for the rest of eternity.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yes.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Dan, if I told you six weeks into the season
- 13:24Speaker 1: that anyone was creating a ridiculous top 10 like Taylor
- 13:27Speaker 1: just created, that the Rams would be left out of it,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you would have told me what?
- 13:31Speaker 5: I would have said you were nuts.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gatz and
- 13:37Speaker 2: Company live weekdays at 3 p.m. Eastern, 12 p.m. Pacific

- 14:06Speaker 1: All right, we will bring in T-Bob and the Bear
- 14:09Speaker 1: in hour number two to recap what was an amazing
- 14:13Speaker 1: college football Saturday. The team, the coach that you were
- 14:17Speaker 1: happiest to see lose.
- 14:21Speaker 3: 877-99 on Fox. That is 877-99 on Fox. We'll get
- 14:24Speaker 3: to the NBA.
- 14:26Speaker 1: In fact, Taylor, put this on the poll if you
- 14:27Speaker 1: don't mind.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Did you know the NBA season starts tomorrow?
- 14:32Speaker 4: And also, why is it starting at 3 p.m. Eastern
- 14:35Speaker 4: on a Tuesday?
- 14:36Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Celtics-Pistons. Last time I checked, the Pistons are— Eastern time zone.
- 14:41Speaker 4: So who is that game for the 3 p.m. Eastern game?
- 14:45Speaker 1: I have no idea because you don't have the NFL
- 14:47Speaker 1: to contend with. You don't have college football to contend with.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You do have 76ers Knicks. They want to put that
- 14:53Speaker 1: at seven o'clock on Peacock. But again, Why are the
- 14:56Speaker 1: Celtics and Pistons kicking off the season at three?
- 14:59Speaker 3: Are they playing somewhere else?
- 15:02Speaker 4: As far as I could see, right? Cause that was
- 15:03Speaker 4: my first thought.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Is this game in Spain? Is this game? Are we
- 15:09Speaker 4: doing the international games? Is this game in London? Are
- 15:11Speaker 4: we trying to grow the game?
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:14Speaker 4: It's tipping off from the little Caesars arena in Detroit.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yes, it is. I just looked it up.
- 15:20Speaker 4: This feels very greedy of the NBA trying to squeeze
- 15:22Speaker 4: a third game in here.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I agree. I agree.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Well, I mean, sports leagues are greedy because they can
- 15:27Speaker 1: get away with it because we'll be there watching and
- 15:30Speaker 1: betting on it.
- 15:30Speaker 3: And that's what we do.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Was there a team before we get to the NBA,
- 15:34Speaker 1: the GMs, they pull the GMs before the season.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Who's the best team? Who's going to be the MVP?
- 15:39Speaker 1: Was there a team or a coach that you were
- 15:41Speaker 1: happiest to see lose over the weekend, college or the NFL?
- 15:47Speaker 1: It's a good question. Yes, that you were happiest to
- 15:49Speaker 1: see lose. For me, it was Cignetti.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not there with Cignetti, really. For me, it
- 15:57Speaker 4: would probably be Georgia because Georgia was coming off that
- 16:00Speaker 4: massive win against Alabama where you watch the Georgia-Alabama game and...
- 16:05Speaker 4: It feels like the consensus was those are the two
- 16:07Speaker 4: best teams in college football, and both of those two
- 16:10Speaker 4: teams got served up some humble pie this weekend.
- 16:12Speaker 3: They did. I'm going to say it again. I said
- 16:14Speaker 3: it during one of our podcasts this morning.
- 16:16Speaker 1: If you're an Indiana fan, you have no business looking
- 16:19Speaker 1: that distraught because your football team lost a close game
- 16:21Speaker 1: at home to Ohio State. You don't have the right
- 16:25Speaker 1: to do it. Just be happy you're relevant. Just be
- 16:28Speaker 1: happy the game was close. Just be happy you're the
- 16:31Speaker 1: defending national champions with a chance to go to the
- 16:33Speaker 1: playoff again. I don't want to see looks like I
- 16:37Speaker 1: saw at Indiana in Bloomington, like they have some storied
- 16:42Speaker 1: history and this game meant so much to them that
- 16:45Speaker 1: they are so distraught that Indiana lost a football game.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I don't want to hear it.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Walk out of the stadium, head held high, with a
- 16:53Speaker 1: big smile, and celebrate the losses like they were a
- 16:56Speaker 1: victory because they are victories, small victories, because Ohio State
- 16:59Speaker 1: normally every year before last year, they would have beaten
- 17:03Speaker 1: you by 40 points. Anyway, what are the NBA GMs
- 17:06Speaker 1: saying about the upcoming season here, Taylor?
- 17:08Speaker 4: So the first question that they were polled, which team
- 17:11Speaker 4: will win the 2027 NBA Finals? Last year, the Oklahoma
- 17:17Speaker 4: City Thunder got 80% of the vote.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Okay, and how many votes did they get last year?
- 17:21Speaker 1: How many votes did the Spurs get last year?
- 17:24Speaker 4: So this is just telling me that the Thunder got 80%
- 17:26Speaker 4: of the vote.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So there's like a pie chart between all the other
- 17:31Speaker 1: teams that people thought maybe the Celtics, maybe some other.
- 17:33Speaker 4: So this year I have.
- 17:36Speaker 4: The percentage that the number one team got the number
- 17:39Speaker 4: two team got, and then there's just others receiving votes.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Okay. I know where this is headed. All right.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Who do the GMs feel like is the, we'll give
- 17:49Speaker 1: us the second favorite here.
- 17:51Speaker 4: The Oklahoma City Thunder, 43%.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Okay, so 43%. So the other percentage went to San Antonio?
- 17:59Speaker 4: San Antonio Spurs got 50%. So that is 93%. The
- 18:03Speaker 4: others receiving votes, the New York Knicks trying to defend
- 18:07Speaker 4: their title.
- 18:07Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 18:08Speaker 4: And then the LeBron James factor with the Philadelphia 76ers.
- 18:11Speaker 3: And that bothers you? Yes.
- 18:14Speaker 4: It doesn't bother me. Like, I think this Knicks team
- 18:16Speaker 4: is kind of coming under the radar, which is crazy
- 18:18Speaker 4: because we are the loudest, most obnoxious fan base.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So you're saying you like that none of the GMs
- 18:25Speaker 1: are selecting the Knicks. So the Knicks, it's like a
- 18:28Speaker 1: little chip on their shoulder, right? Oh, we won the championship.
- 18:31Speaker 1: We were in others receiving votes a year ago, if
- 18:34Speaker 1: indeed they were. This year again, after winning the championship
- 18:38Speaker 1: and beating San Antonio and We are still in others
- 18:41Speaker 1: receiving votes, and you think this is a good thing
- 18:44Speaker 1: for the Knicks, and I don't disagree, by the way.
- 18:45Speaker 4: I think we're going to stroll into the finals again
- 18:47Speaker 4: this year because we're going to run through this Eastern Conference,
- 18:49Speaker 4: and we're going to be the plucky underdogs again.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yes. How much are you going to enjoy tomorrow night?
- 18:54Speaker 3: They raised that banner. I mean. Oh, man.
- 18:57Speaker 4: My only regret is that Victor Weminyama won't be in
- 18:59Speaker 4: the building.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but LeBron will.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Yeah, LeBron would have chosen the Knicks.
- 19:03Speaker 3: And Bede will.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Quick trip for LeBron tomorrow, right? From whatever apartment he
- 19:08Speaker 4: has in New York City to the Garden. Doesn't even
- 19:11Speaker 4: have to take the helicopter.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:13Speaker 3: It's the dream.
- 19:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:15Speaker 3: He'd prefer the game be played at the Mecca that
- 19:17Speaker 3: in Philly.
- 19:20Speaker 4: That's so disrespectful to the city of Philadelphia. LeBron James,
- 19:24Speaker 4: he might never step foot in the city of Philadelphia
- 19:27Speaker 4: outside of Sixers game.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Days, meaning he won't leave that arena. Yes. Because the
- 19:31Speaker 3: helicopter lands right at the arena. He gets out. He
- 19:34Speaker 3: gets into the arena. He goes out of the arena right.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Back into the helicopter and right back to New York City,
- 19:40Speaker 1: the place he would have went to had the Knicks
- 19:42Speaker 1: not won an NBA title a year ago.
- 19:44Speaker 4: You asked LeBron, like, LeBron, are you a Geno's or
- 19:46Speaker 4: Pat's guy? He goes, are those restaurants in Manhattan?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Put it on the poll.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Will LeBron ever know what Geno's or Pat's is?
- 19:58Speaker 4: There's no way.
- 19:59Speaker 1: No, I'm with you. It's odd that he would choose
- 20:05Speaker 1: a city to play in that he doesn't want to
- 20:07Speaker 1: live in.
- 20:09Speaker 5: It just is.
- 20:10Speaker 3: College football with the Bear and T-Bob next.
