  Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin.

  Thank you for indulging me in those first few minutes just to go over what's
• 5:56
  coming up and, you know, an opportunity
• 5:58
  to just kind of do a little bit of business, to be very, very honest.

  This morning, as I stay in my parking lot here to go into work,
• 6:05
  I look up in the sky and I see a parachuter parachuting down,
• 6:08
  which is pretty cool Never seen that before hope he arrives in his destination
• 6:13
  and hope he's not in the wrong spot, but you know it happens,
• 6:17
  Listen, I want to tell you something that has really inspired me recently.
• 6:22
  And that is going back to school this semester. I'm taking church history.
• 6:29
  And it's amazing, guys, how God works.
• 6:34
  Because before I started this semester, which was officially started on the,
• 6:39
  let's see, it was actually started on the 25th of August.
• 6:42
  But we didn't get our assignments until about the 31st of August.
• 6:46
  And by then I had already written the sermon. Pretty much half of it has been written.
• 6:51
  But this Sunday, I'm gonna be doing something I've never done,
• 6:55
  I'm going off the cuff like I do here on my podcast a lot of people say to me,
• 6:59
  why don't you do it when you're preaching anyway, and I'm like,
• 7:01
  you know what's funny for some reason, I get even more nervous when I'm up on the congregation,
• 7:06
  and I know what I wanna say but I get nervous, but you know what I'm gonna just
• 7:11
  throw the gloves off and I'm gonna go for it, so I'm looking forward to it and
• 7:14
  I would encourage your prayers to help me and guide me,
• 7:17
  but anyway, getting back to what I was trying to get at was as I already had
• 7:21
  prepared the sermon because you have to do the scriptures and make sure you submit those in advance.
• 7:27
  So they can put it in the slides. And then here we go.
• 7:30
  I go into class and my first assignment is exactly what I'm trying to talk about in my sermon.

  And not only that, I pulled scripture from Acts and we were asked to read the
• 7:44
  book of Acts. I'm like, this is amazing.
• 7:47
  So I'm excited to deliver this message and I'm excited to be there with you
• 7:52
  and I hope you'll enjoy those messages.

  So let me give you some motivational words for today.
• 7:58
  When you wake up this morning, if you're feeling down, if you're feeling like
• 8:02
  you're not up to par, if you're not feeling that you are capable, I want you to know this.
• 8:08
  And these aren't just words to make you feel better. I mean what I'm saying, and I say what I mean.

  You are worthy. You are special.
• 8:17
  You are something that God created. You're a person that God created in his
• 8:22
  image. And you know what that means?
• 8:25
  You are one of God's children, which means you are special, you are forgiven,
• 8:31
  and you are loved by our heavenly father.
• 8:35
  So no matter what happens today, good, bad I want you to go in knowing you are
• 8:40
  protected you are forgiven and God loves you with all of his heart.
• 8:47
  All of his hands upon us. So please do your very best to pull your chin up.

  I ask you, Lord, now more than ever to guide us, to keep us safe,

  to protect all children that are going back to school, all nurses,

  doctors, faculty, and staff everywhere along the world.

  Put the armor of Christ on us. And Lord, let's protect our first responders,
• 10:05
  EMTs, firefighters, fire rescue, you, police officers.

  Everyone out there that's doing their best to keep our way of life safe,
• 10:16
  our military veterans, our military personnel, foreign and domestic.
• 10:20
  And Lord, please guide these government officials to figure out a way to get
• 10:24
  along, to stop acting like kindergartners and do what they were intended to
• 10:29
  do, what they were voted in to do, and that is protect us and to keep us safe.
• 10:34
  And finally, protect our half-faith, let it begin, family.
• 10:37
  Let them know that you are with them and allow them to feel your joy,
• 10:43
  your love, and the Holy Spirit as we pray the words that you taught us.

  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
• 10:53
  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

  Lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil.
• 11:10
  For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever.

  In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

  May God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant you peace on earth.
