• 0:00
It's still welcome everybody. Welcome to this week's edition of the Still a Real
• 0:20
Doest Show, episode number seven nine for June twenty, twenty twenty four.
• 0:26
Even though we're recording this on June twenty second, twenty twenty four. I
• 0:30
am one half the show. I am Jeff Peck, joined every single week
• 0:34
from my co host Solon Wily, doctor Trey Franklin, Doctor Trey. I
• 0:38
now join you as a father of my friend. Yeah. I think back
• 0:43
last week's episode and we kind of talked about alf air with everything going on,
• 0:47
that it was going to be the last show you did before Father's Day
• 0:53
and you actually becoming a father. So I know I'm not the first to
• 0:57
say this, but congratulations, thank you, thank you my friend. Yeah,
• 1:02
it has been a world win couple of days, and we actually started
• 1:06
talking about it pre show here and I was like, you know what,
• 1:08
let me let me just kind of say this for the podcast here and just
• 1:12
talk it out. So my son was born on Thursday at three twenty four
• 1:19
pm, six pounds twelve ounces, twenty inches long. His name is Luke
• 1:23
James Peck. He is doing great. Everything is great with my son.
• 1:30
Obviously, we could not have recorded the show on Thursday. Given everything that
• 1:34
was going on, there was going to be a potential little glimmer of recording
• 1:41
the podcast on Thursday night. Potentially was thinking Friday, but unfortunately my wife
• 1:49
had some complications from the C section surgery and I could sit here and I
• 1:53
could say everything is fine. Now she is on the road recovery. She
• 1:57
is doing well. It was obviously a very scary situation for us as a
• 2:05
as a family, but I'm obviously happy to say that she is doing well.
• 2:10
I'm able to sit here and do the podcast for an hour, have
• 2:15
a little bit of window I'm recording that. We're recording this on Saturday morning.
• 2:20
Hopefully goes right up rather quickly when we sent it over to our good
• 2:23
friend Bauer, who always posted up at real Guy radio dot com. But
• 2:28
yeah, that is that is the latest. That's why there was a little
• 2:30
bit of delay. Energy level is lower than normal just given everything going on.
• 2:38
It's been a wild wave of a roller coaster of emotions, not a
• 2:45
lot of sleep so far. And this is actually coming from a guy who
• 2:49
has not had an overnight with his son yet. Just given the circumstances of
• 2:54
what's going on, and just trying to focus on getting my wife back up
• 2:59
to road recovery what she is, and just trying to piece meal everything else
• 3:07
in life because you know nowadays doctor Trey or what I'm going to be learning
• 3:13
now going forward. More importantly, it is very difficult to get off the
• 3:19
roller coaster of life in general, whether it comes to work, hobbies,
• 3:25
podcasts like this. It's like, holy crap, I have a bunch of
• 3:30
stuff that I need to get done. And I spent the night sleeping at
• 3:35
the hospital on Thursday night into Friday, and the first time I got home
• 3:39
was about Friday night at like ten ten pm Eastern, and I spent that
• 3:46
time getting caught up on a lot of stuff that we left here when we
• 3:51
went to go deliver my son at the hospital and watched the SmackDown. Have
• 3:59
not watched Rampage from Friday night yet, but I did get a chance to
• 4:02
watch mac Down while I was filling the blanks. Went to bed super late
• 4:06
because there was so much stuff that was to be done. But I figured
• 4:11
this is like, you know, the way to get used to intermittent sleep
• 4:15
for the time being. So happy to be here, happy to make this
• 4:17
announcement, and I will be looking for obvious advice from doctor Trey Franklin,
• 4:25
the two time Father. But I'm happy to join the stable of wrestling,
• 4:30
stable of fathers. I guess what is it? The f WO? What
• 4:33
are we doing? F degeneration? F what is the father? Horseman?
• 4:40
How does this? What is this table called? Noah? I've always led
• 4:44
to like Father the Father world order because it's you know, it's a different
• 4:48
world to be and when you jump into it. I can't believe that you
• 4:54
didn't look at the Dodgers and the nurses Thursday and said, look, I
• 4:59
have a podcas I have to do. Can we pump the brakes a little
• 5:03
bit so I can get this thing done? I mean, we got priorities
• 5:05
here. I know my wife's getting ready to have the C section everything else,
• 5:10
Guys, I have a podcast I have to do. We have to
• 5:14
prioritize this. So I'm a little I'm a little bummed out. Jeff.
• 5:15
I thought you do it from the hospital. I mean, I've always been
• 5:19
the one to do it from do the show from like weird locations, So
• 5:25
I thought this was your chance to kind of jump into that world. Yeah,
• 5:28
yeah, you know that would have been a really fun and interesting way
• 5:30
to record the podcast. Do it that way. It was It's funny that
• 5:35
you mentioned this, because going into the week just out like I'm wired sometimes
• 5:41
and I know this. We were in the window. It was June twentieth
• 5:44
to June twenty eighth they predicted my son would be delivered, so obviously June
• 5:48
twentieth he landed on Earth and walk away we go. But I really debated
• 5:56
going in this week, and doctor Trey and I always text with one another,
• 5:58
like, Hey, how's your schedule this week? How's it's working out.
• 6:00
We've been on this swing lately of doing the show on Thursday afternoon.
• 6:04
It gives us an opportunity to basically watch all of wrestling. It's the one
• 6:09
day a week where there is no wrestling, unless you know, we randomly
• 6:13
cover Impact wrestling or excuse me, t and A wrestling because I know they
• 6:16
are on Thursdays now. And I debated. I was like, I wonder
• 6:20
if I should do the show on Wednesday. I had off from work for
• 6:25
the federal holiday, and I was like, you know what, she isn't
• 6:30
showing any signs of labor. I think I could probably squeeze one out here
• 6:34
on Thursday, and I figured by the next time we recorded, probably my
• 6:40
son would be bored at that point, and boy, oh boy, was
• 6:44
I wrong. It was I went to bed, what was it now?
• 6:47
Wednesday night? I was usually I could get so I watched Dynamite typically late,
• 6:57
as it's like, once it starts going, I'll get in the DVR.
• 7:01
I don't know. I guess I'm getting impatient with waiting for commercials nowadays,
• 7:05
and they don't have many of them on Dynamite. So I think I
• 7:09
got through the first hour on DVR late Wednesday night and it was about eleven
• 7:13
o'clock and I was like, man, I am dead tired. I should
• 7:15
just go to sleep. And I usually try to power through, and I
• 7:18
didn't, and thank god I didn't, because I woke to about one thirty
• 7:25
in the morning on Thursday and my bedroom was lit up like a Christmas tree.
• 7:30
Lights were on, doors were open, my wife's in the bathroom,
• 7:34
and I'm like, what the hell is going on? And I rush up.
• 7:38
And earlier in the week my wife had we actually went to the hospital
• 7:42
on Tuesday because she had thought that potentially her water broke and it did not
• 7:46
break, and it was like you're still you know, this could be three
• 7:50
weeks so from now, it could be two days from now, it could
• 7:54
be three weeks from now. Typical doctor speak, which has been a theme
• 7:56
this entire time, doctor speak, And anybody who has experienced a doctor knows
• 8:01
what I'm talking about. Doctor Trey with his foot, It's like, so
• 8:03
is my foot going to be okay? Uh? It may it may be,
• 8:07
you know, there's always the chance of It's like, you know,
• 8:09
can you just give me some sort of positive reinforcement? But I digress.
• 8:13
So one thirday morning, I get up and there she is, and she's
• 8:16
like, my water broke. Pretty sure, my water broke. I'm like,
• 8:18
okay, so what do we do next? Because everybody I've talked to
• 8:22
doctor Trey and maybe you can attest to this as well, has said when
• 8:26
the water breaks, it's not like this drop down immediate oh you know,
• 8:31
stuff that you see in the movies television shows, like oh shit, we
• 8:35
got to get to the hospital right away. Like I did immediately think that.
• 8:37
But thankfully she jumped in and she was like, when this happens,
• 8:41
I'm supposed to call the hospital, speak to the on site doctor and get
• 8:45
some advice from there, but it's always like the water breaks, we got
• 8:50
a rush, you know, is that what you experienced in the past.
• 8:54
Yeah, I like now with my first with Carmen, my oldest, my
• 8:58
ex wife, water never broke like we it's and if you remember me telling
• 9:05
you this, like the first child, like you'll start the woman with especially
• 9:09
if you have a date set in mind, like if you have a date
• 9:11
set with the doctor's offs, like, hey, then we're going to deliver
• 9:13
the baby on this date. Usually about a week to ten days before they
• 9:18
start having like the Brax and Hicks contractions, and you know, it's kind
• 9:22
of like the body's prepping itself because the body sets like a deadline in their
• 9:24
head, like, hey, the baby's coming on this date. Let's go
• 9:28
ahead and make sure every thing's working properly to you know, to do everything.
• 9:33
So when my first kid was born, she had Brax and Hicks contractions
• 9:37
a couple of times before the actual due date, but her water never broke
• 9:41
until the day of the delivery, like the day of that we were scheduled
• 9:48
to go in. And actually I think Sammy was the same way like her,
• 9:52
Like Megan's water didn't break until we got to the hospital, so I
• 9:58
never had that we weird you know, oh, oh crap, we have
• 10:03
to go now kind of feeling come over me because we'd had the brax and
• 10:05
Hicks issues, but we'd never had the water break until we were already at
• 10:09
the hospital. Yeah, that's it, you know, it's funny. I
• 10:13
was. I always was like telling everybody because everybody would give me the advice
• 10:16
like, oh crap, you know, no, I'm good. We probably
• 10:18
won't won't rush out there. I won't have like this freak out moment of
• 10:24
Okay, well your water's broke, we don't have to immediately leave, blah
• 10:26
blah blah. And it was a complete opposite of that. I was like,
• 10:28
all right, so should I be getting ready? And again she calmed
• 10:31
me down, called the doctor. Funny enough, the doctor, you leave
• 10:37
a message, and the doctor called her back, but my wife had her
• 10:41
phone on do not disturb, so we were like in panic mode and it
• 10:46
was like, oh shit, and she left the voicemail. I think my
• 10:50
wife tried picking it up while the voicemail was being left on her iPhone and
• 10:54
they had hung up the phone at that point, and it was like,
• 10:56
how crap. So then she's going to go through this entire thing again and
• 11:00
leave a message, and then of course the doctor doesn't get back to us
• 11:05
until forty minutes later. Now, so this is like two am, and
• 11:09
she said that she was delivering a baby. The doctor and she said,
• 11:15
you know, you could labor at home for a little bit, watch your
• 11:16
contractions, and once it gets elect the five to seven minute range, come
• 11:22
on down the hospital. So my wife started having contractions. We were timing
• 11:26
them. They started at twenty minutes, let's say, in like the two
• 11:28
am hour, By the three am hour it was at eleven minutes, and
• 11:33
by the four am hour it was about eight minutes. So I was like,
• 11:37
we got to leave. And we got a dog, so I'm calling
• 11:39
my mom who lives nearby to drop my dog off. And we left for
• 11:45
the hospital at five am, got there about five point thirty and started the
• 11:50
process of labor. So went through all that my life. My wife tried
• 11:56
to give a natural birth. Everything was going really, really smoothly, and
• 12:03
the thought was that you know, we could have a baby out before noon
• 12:07
time. At that point, she was pushing and it just got to the
• 12:11
point where the doctor said, I think she went was in labor for about
• 12:15
two and a half to three and a half hours, and doctor was like,
• 12:18
listen, I think thing we have to do with sea section. So
• 12:20
we did not go in there with the sea section. So went through that
• 12:24
and I was in the room with my wife while they were doing that,
• 12:28
which is did your ex wife wife did they do? Did they do see
• 12:33
sections? Doctor Trey? No? No, everything was natural. Yeah,
• 12:39
now natural the sense of always something that my favorite thing about the first my
• 12:43
oldest being bored was my wife did not want to have an epidural and refused
• 12:50
it. God bless her. Yeah, I'm literally like, you're in pain,
• 12:56
you need this. And then they kept giving a little drug cocktail to
• 13:00
kind of loosen things up and relax her. And then right like after like
• 13:05
the fifth hour that she was in there, she was kind of groggy,
• 13:09
and they went there like, you know, miss Dent, you know you're
• 13:11
you're at you know, six centimeters eight cent or something like that, and
• 13:15
they're like, this is your last chance for an epidurl. If you want
• 13:18
ween, we can do it. If not, there's no turning back.
• 13:22
If she goes, and I went that was her saying yes, give her
• 13:26
the girl. So my wife debated that. So, my wife had a
• 13:31
back surgery when she was younger and was worried about all the the area,
• 13:35
like literally the area that they'll hit it is where she had her back surgery.
• 13:39
So it was concerned about that. Talked to the doctor and she eventually
• 13:43
gave in when we were in the trioge portion of the pregnancy phase and like
• 13:46
as it started coming on, she said to me at one point, I'm
• 13:50
so happy I did this. So she was relieved that she did that.
• 13:54
So did the c section. Which is anybody that's listening to this podcast,
• 13:58
if your wife went through the C section. That is one of the oddest
• 14:05
things I have ever been a part of because they are calling out loud body
• 14:09
parts, internal organs that they are moving around and then like putting back and
• 14:16
I even being in fire and EMSs and I've seen some stuff avoided completely seeing
• 14:24
anything that was going on. Like the way that they brought me in doctor
• 14:28
Trey. Her front was facing me. It wasn't like I was immediately walking
• 14:33
in and I was gonna go sit behind her. It was facing me.
• 14:37
And thankfully I didn't look. I did not want to look, had my
• 14:41
head down and then sat down with her and tried to keep her calm.
• 14:43
  And it's a tough situation. I mean, it's a very exciting situation,
• 14:48
but it's a very tough situation because you don't she did not go in there
• 14:52
thinking she was gonna have surgery. I mean, she did not mentally prepare
• 14:54
herself for having surgery. My sister in law went into it and was having
• 15:01
a C section, so she at least could mentally prepare for that. And
• 15:03
anybody who's had a surgery in their life, whether big or small. And
• 15:05
I'm sure you feel this way too, doctor Trey, is you know when
• 15:09
you mentally, at least you can mentally prepare yourself for the situation. My
• 15:13
wife did not get an opportunity to. And even though like a very joyus
• 15:18
occasion, she was shaking, which is something that happens typically during the sea
• 15:24
section process, and I could tell she was nervous. She was she was
• 15:30
very very strong and a warrior, and I could just tell she was nervous.
• 15:35
And our son came out, spent some time with him, and then
• 15:39
after about an hour or so after she had some complications that got, you
• 15:45
know, pretty serious. But thankfully all the doctors and stuff, you know,
• 15:50
got her stable, and it's just a blessing that that she's okay,
• 15:54
and you know, we dealt with some stuff over night Thursday into Friday,
• 15:58
and then you know, by Friday, I knew by Thursday night she was
• 16:03
going to be okay and stable, and then as she progressed forward, everything
• 16:07
improved wholeheartedly. And she was actually an ICU for this entire process and in
• 16:15
debated, but she, you know, quickly came to by Friday morning and
• 16:19
was by Friday night I could leave my wife. She was okay. Pain
• 16:26
scale one to ten given the painkillers, was at a three, and she
• 16:30
just wanted to sleep. Was very comfortable with me going home to get caught
• 16:33
up on some stuff. And here we are on Saturday. So we have
• 16:38
a big family. My mother in law, my sister in law are down
• 16:42
there there helping my wife as we speak, as I try to get some
• 16:47
stuff together for my personal life, my work life, my podcast, to
• 16:52
get everything up and going here so that I am you know, we're not
• 16:56
going to be home intermittently every couple of day. Das like as I sit
• 17:00
here right now recording this, my dog is to the left of me,
• 17:03
asleep on the floor. She made her first appearance on SRTU last week after
• 17:10
Doctor Trey said, man, I've never heard your dog bark before, and
• 17:12
then she did. But very happy. My wife is on the road recovery.
• 17:18
My son is doing great. It has been a world win forty eight
• 17:22
hours. And it's probably the oddest segue that I will ever get into start
• 17:27
to recap in reviewing Clash at the Castle. But here we are, Doctor
• 17:32
Trey, and I'm thankful to be able to get this podcast in here and
• 17:37
be able to take a little bit of an hour break and talk some professional
• 17:38
wrestling for the week because it was a great week and I'm happy to be
• 17:44
here and doing my first show as a father. I forgot to ask you
• 17:49
this beforehand, So when Sammy Franklin was coming out, I had a little
• 17:57
playlist prepared because I had got through this and I forgot to bring this up
• 18:00
to you of theme music to play upon his entrance into the world. Now
• 18:07
mind you. I started off with Paul Cogan's I'm a Real American and immediately
• 18:11
the wife maybe turn it off, And then as it got a little closer
• 18:15
in his head started to come out, I started playing Rick Flair's theme song,
• 18:19
and it was immediately told by several people in the room to turn it
• 18:22
off. And then the last one was Macho Man's theme song. So I
• 18:26
forgot to ask, did you think about that at all? Like I gotta
• 18:30
turn this up a little bit? Or was it just like I gotta be
• 18:33
very very straight and narrow and focus on my wife and the baby and can't
• 18:40
do anything kind of silly and goofy. It was when we were doing the
• 18:48
I was like super super focused on the first you know, the labor pushing
• 18:55
part and just trying to keep her comfortable. We had put on music at
• 18:57
some point and felt like the most objective, non objective one would be like
• 19:04
just putting it on country music, something calming to keep her calm, which
• 19:07
was an idea. I had never thought about doing a wrestling theme song at
• 19:11
all, and when I got to obviously the C section portion, it was
• 19:15
a little bit more serious than that and all that stuff. But I did
• 19:19
not think of that, and I wish I I wish I did, because
• 19:22
I don't know, I don't know which one. Maybe the Final Boss,
• 19:25
the New Final Boss theme song I would have gone with, maybe DX like
• 19:27
break it down, I will say for child number two, may I said,
• 19:33
just whatever all time favorites American males. Ooh, American males. American
• 19:40
males. I think it was a bower that cringed the first time? You
• 19:44
really like was it? Like I remember you guys did it like a theme
• 19:47
song show one time on one of the podcasts you guys did in the Wheelhouse.
• 19:52
Yeah, it might be the Wheelhouse, but is either you or I
• 19:53
mean it was either a Bauer or cause that just like heard that song.
• 19:56
It was just like no, no, that's awful, and then it just
• 20:00
became a running joke for a while. But yeah, like that's always I've
• 20:03
been a if. Unfortunately for me, I guess there's no more uh fatherhood
• 20:07
events in my life. Uh all all that that that that little playground has
• 20:11
been shut down, so it's closed permanently out of business. So I don't
• 20:18
I won't get that option. Uh maybe when I become a grandfather at some
• 20:22
point I can talk one of the kids into doing it. So uh,
• 20:26
I have to live VI carefully through you when it comes to you know,
• 20:30
oncoming shopbick. But my thing was like, well, he's making an entrance
• 20:33
into the world and there's no better way to make an entrance there with theme
• 20:36
music. Yeah, I like, I think Goldberg Themes song will be pretty
• 20:38
good. Maybe do a little bit of Sparkler's Bitch may set off like a
• 20:41
smoke alarm, let's uk the baby's headbutting things on the way out. True.
• 20:47
True, I wish I wish I had thought about that a little bit
• 20:48
more now that you mentioned. Yeah, it's such a I don't know,
• 20:52
frazzling situation as a man, because it's like, I'm very low key,
• 20:59
uh not very like like because it's like the training I've always had as a
• 21:04
fire you know, working in for as a first responder is not to be
• 21:07
like, don't go too high, but don't go too low. Always take
• 21:11
it pretty constant. And I've always been trained that way and not have tunnel
• 21:17
vision. And I got like extreme tunnel vision. And when this was all
• 21:19
going on, it's completely different when it's your own family members. Oh yeah,
• 21:23
absolutely. And then the other thing I forgot to mention was, and
• 21:26
I feel bad that I didn't, is because you almost walked into it by
• 21:30
don't look down there when the baby's coming. And this is where any listen
• 21:33
to the show like that hasn't had a kid yet. The doctors and the
• 21:38
nurses will always kind of say, hey, do you want to see the
• 21:41
baby coming. I will tell you, y'all don't do it. Because you
• 21:45
heard them saying body parts that you know, in talking about like that,
• 21:49
that's kind of jarring. But to actually see it is kind of Yeah.
• 21:55
It takes you a little while to get that image out of your head.
• 21:56
Like I still I didn't see Sammy come into the world, Like I perfectly
• 22:00
stayed just out of it. Like. And the other thing was they had
• 22:03
a weird spotlight over her to see what they were doing. And that's also
• 22:08
why I thought of the entrance stuff and like, well, he's got a
• 22:11
spotlight, might as well set that up there. But I always something like
• 22:15
when my daughter was born, it looked like a koala bear bursting out of
• 22:19
a strawberry cheesecake. See, that's a very interesting analogy, doctory I've never
• 22:25
heard that one before. Kawala bear going through a strawberry cheesecake. It was
• 22:30
like a great hit. And then there's you know, all the other stuff
• 22:33
going on down there, and I'm like that is just kind of yeah.
• 22:37
It took a while for me to, you know, feel comfortable with my
• 22:41
wife, to like go back into the normal husband and wife routine, because
• 22:45
that was the image I kept playing in my head down there, and I'm
• 22:48
like, yeah, I just don't want to. I literally told my first
• 22:52
wife, like, I will never ask you for a second kid just because
• 22:55
of what you went through. If you want another kid, you have to
• 22:56
ask for it. Yeah. No, I mean that's definitely gone through my
• 23:00
mind. We're obviously not going to have that conversation yet, but yeah,
• 23:03
I mean everything that they go through, I mean, once you experience,
• 23:06
it's like a comple I mean, you obviously love and respect your wife,
• 23:08
but when they go through that, it's like, holy crap, like this
• 23:11
is you're my hero type stuff. Afterwards, I did not look at any
• 23:18
point. We've talked about the C section side, but when she was pushing,
• 23:21
I had they had me up by her shoulders and like helping hold her
• 23:26
neck and any every time she was pushing, I would just look, you
• 23:30
know, more towards like the back of her head, like my face.
• 23:33
Her face is going forward, mine is going the opposite way, looking at
• 23:37
the wall. I did not want to look at any point, and I
• 23:41
did not know that they were going to utilize me as much as they did
• 23:44
during the labor process. I was like, I did not know this.
• 23:48
You want me to hold this foot? Okay, you want me to do
• 23:51
this, hold this pillow? Okay, did not know this? And where
• 23:55
is my pay for this? You know how am I getting paid to do
• 23:57
this? So yeah, it was it was an experience and looking forward to
• 24:04
watching wrestling with my son soon enough. He when he was born, the
• 24:10
Yankees were playing, and they were playing on a day that they lost seventeen
• 24:14
to five to the Baltimore Orioles. That was not a good start for my
• 24:18
Yankee fandom. And as I currently record this, they are zero and two
• 24:22
since my son has been born. So my son has not seen a Yankee
• 24:26
win and he may be bad luck. They may never win a game again,
• 24:30
which I don't know what I'm going to do in that situation. But
• 24:36
since he has been alive, Jacob Fatu has joined WWE. Yeah, it's
• 24:44
been it's been wild. He has not seen the why at six or sick
• 24:48
yet six six. I don't know what they're doing yet with that name,
• 24:52
but yeah, everything is has been good. It's been a joyous occasion and
• 24:59
I'm just happy everybody okay. That's even before all this other stuff. That
• 25:03
was obviously my biggest concern, which I did not share with my wife,
• 25:07
is I just wanted everybody to be okay afterwards. I mean, that is
• 25:11
that's a scary part and one of the things that I did forget. So
• 25:14
one of the reasons why they did the c section is an umbilical cord was
• 25:18
wrapped around my son's neck and obviously, when you hear that, you're like,
• 25:21
holy crap, this is crazy. It's part around his body. And
• 25:26
come to find out, I mean that happens about a third of kids nowadays
• 25:30
when they're born. So I mean, doctors are very casual in telling you
• 25:33
this type stuff, but when you hear that, it's very scary. So
• 25:37
again, I'm just so thankful and blessed that everybody's okay, very thankful and
• 25:44
blessed to be here recording the podcast today as well and being able to talk
• 25:48
wrestling for everybody with everybody for about an hour. And again, yeah,
• 25:52
I'm happy to be part of the New Dad order. I saw that shirt
• 25:55
up on WWE shop dot com. May have to buy that, and yeah,
• 26:00
I guess let's let's get into it. Doctor Trey. It's probably the
• 26:03
weird again, the weirdest segue I've ever had in the history of this show,
• 26:06
going from like, hey, I'm a dad, this is what's been
• 26:07
going on to uh, let's talk about Clash of the Castle. Well,
• 26:11
I mean there are a lot of second generation wrestlers in WWE, So there
• 26:15
you go. That's its fatherhood and we just have Father's Day, so it
• 26:19
all it all kind of ties together. Yep. The throne is now the
• 26:23
torch can be passed at some point. At some point Young Sammy Franklin and
• 26:27
Luke pak will be sitting here doing the still Reelta show after Doctor treye I
• 26:32
retire, And as you could hear, you know, I've been battling allergies
• 26:34
still, so that's always been fun. So forgive me for I always try
• 26:38
to turn my mic off but when I'm taking a swig of water, coffee
• 26:41
and whatever. But I'm not gonna do that today. Okay, guys,
• 26:45
I'm just gonna forget it, Like I have a little drink right now out
• 26:49
of my eddie and power through here. So let's get into it. Clash
• 26:55
of the Castle recap review this past that day from the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow,
• 26:59
Scotland. First match here Cody Roads Defeast AJ Styles and an equit match
• 27:03
retaining the nentisited of WE Championship. We both had. Cody Rhodes love the
• 27:06
entring psychology and storytelling this match, love seeing blood being used during a WWE
• 27:11
match again as well to nitpick a little bit, I just feel felt like
• 27:15
there were some spots that could have grabbed more of an emotional investment from wrestling
• 27:18
fans while watching this one, whether it be Mama Roads teasing, throwing in
• 27:22
the towel, or a little bit more of a violent finish that caused AJ
• 27:26
Styles to say I quit rather than being afraid of getting hit with steel tips
• 27:30
steel steps. I also didn't love Cody Rhodes passing out during an I quit
• 27:33
match, because there was a case I think he could have lost because of
• 27:38
that. I know, Stone Cold c lost a completely different match for US
• 27:42
many thirteen loses to Brett Hard his submission match, and he never gave up.
• 27:48
He never said I quit, he just passed out, and I was
• 27:52
like, this is kind of reminded me of wrestlming A thirteen match and did
• 27:55
not love that but Cody Rhods retains Doctor Trey. Your thoughts. Yeah,
• 28:00
the match itself I thought was really good, Like I, like you said,
• 28:03
the psychology, the storytelling. I love, you know, the temptation
• 28:10
of somebody else throwing in the towel that's not in the wrestling business quote unquote,
• 28:15
even though I mean, dear gosh, she's married to Dusty and she's
• 28:18
the father the mother of Cody, so she's in the business. But you
• 28:22
know, but yeah, like for me, the I hated the finish of
• 28:26
this one because we see the steel steps get used all the time around matches.
• 28:33
All the time, guys are getting hit and AJ's been hit with steel
• 28:36
steps probably a hundred times in his career, and for in that moment to
• 28:42
go, you know what, this one I'm not really feeling, so let
• 28:45
me just go and say I quit. Just I didn't like the inning.
• 28:48
I did love the fact that in I quit match there's blood. It gives
• 28:53
it a more realistic feel. I mean, your god, this is the
• 28:56
Steel Real Twist podcast. So yeah, anything that gives us that that line
• 29:00
we enjoy. But just for a guy like AJ to say I quit in
• 29:07
  that sentence, I don't think maybe it's a different Maybe it's a different take
• 29:10
on his character. They're going in a different direction going forward, but just
• 29:12
for a guy like AJ that we've seen go through so much stuff over his
• 29:17
career, in that moment to say I quit, I didn't really like.
• 29:19
But overall, outside of that, outside the finish, a really solid equip
• 29:23
match. Yeah. You got to wonder now everything that we know from SmackDown
• 29:27
on Friday night that if they went with the violent direction based on his next
• 29:30
few which is going to be solo Socoa, the belief is that match will
• 29:34
be taking place at Money in the Bank. Obviously, Jacob Fattou, which
• 29:37
we'll talk about here, getting involved, joining the Bloodline, He's got to
• 29:41
force Cody Roach to get a little bit more violent, and the AJ style
• 29:45
stuff. I think everybody's under the belief that him say and I Quit is
• 29:48
going to lead him to return to TNA Wrestling at some point. It was
• 29:51
chanted during the kickoff show on Friday in Glasgow that aired on Peacock ahead of
• 29:57
the pay per view he will be taking He will be going to Pro Wrestling
• 30:02
Noah on July thirteenth for in Japan there wrestling match. So where AJ styles
• 30:08
goes from here will be intriguing as well. Next match is Alpha Fire and
• 30:15
Ela Dawn defeating Bianca bel Air and Jade Cargill and Shannon Basler and Zoe Stark
• 30:18
in a triple threat tag team match to win the WA Women's Tag Team Championship.
• 30:22
Doctor Trey and I both at Bianca and Jade getting the win. Shocking,
• 30:25
surprising result, probably the most shocking result I have seen this year.
• 30:29
I wonder if this was done to get the surprising home country pop or if
• 30:32
we would see some cracks between Bianca and Jade, it would not shock me.
• 30:36
A Fire and Dawn's title reign is short lived. It's nice to see
• 30:37
the women's tag team division get a decent amount of TV time and focus lately,
• 30:41
so hopefully that continues. Bianca lost her money the Bank qualifying match the
• 30:48
same way they basically lost the tag team titles at Glasgow last weekend, so
• 30:53
I wonder if the match on next Friday with Jade in the qualifying He's going
• 30:59
to be a similar result, which may lead to some sort of deterioration between
• 31:03
Bianca and Jade's partnership, which I thought was gonna last a lot longer.
• 31:06
Maybe carry us in in twenty twenty five rather than potentially something that may be
• 31:08
a lot sooner, say SummerSlam time, which I could see happening at this
• 31:14
point. Nonetheless, very happy for Alba Fire and Islad Dawn. Alba Fire
• 31:18
went through a completely horrific personal tragedy with her mom passed away after getting hit
• 31:23
by a car believe in Orlando, Florida last month, so I'm sure it
• 31:29
was just a relief to get that moment and then the crowd had a great
• 31:32
reaction to it. Nonetheless, we have new women Tag team Champions, Doctor
• 31:36
Try. Yeah, I think if you had told me that before the show,
• 31:40
that you know we have new tag team champions. I don't even think
• 31:42
I would have picked Alba and Isla, Like I love their characters and I
• 31:48
love the little pairing, like I've liked it ever since they got paired up
• 31:52
in NXT after their feud. But you know, I might have picked Shana
• 31:56
and Zoe because Shannon was coming off that you know, NXT Underground loss recently,
• 32:00
so I was like, well, if they're gonna put the belts on
• 32:01
somebod else, it might be Shane to kind of boost her back up a
• 32:04
little bit so surprised. But if you remember last week, I literally kept
• 32:07
saying, somebody from Scotland has to win one of these title matches. You
• 32:10
have to have at least one, and this was actually the one that I
• 32:15
didn't think would change at all. So really surprising the result, but I
• 32:20
was. I was happy the women got a good amount of time. The
• 32:22
match itself was kind of iffy at times, but you know, overall,
• 32:27
good result. But yeah, I'm with you. I'm kind of surprised they
• 32:30
went this route so quickly with Bianca and Jade losing the belts, because I
• 32:35
kind of felt like this might be something that you could leave and build up
• 32:37
to and help really establish another tag team being you know, a strong adversary
• 32:45
for them. So surprise the results, good time, but match yourself was
• 32:50
a little bit off in moments. Next match, Sammy's Aye defeating Chad Gable
• 32:54
to retain the w WI Interncoundal Old Championship. We both hat Chad Gable.
• 32:59
This feels like table center. This is what I wroach this Field wrote.
• 33:01
This is a feels like a table center match for something bigger as Chad Gable's
• 33:05
Alpha Academy implosion and otis breaking free looms forward, which we saw play out
• 33:08
on Monday. It didn't feel like they could hold Gable back from winning a
• 33:12
singles title anymore. But the Chad can't win the Big One storyline seems to
• 33:15
be gaining momentum for the eventual and hopeful conclusion, and as Gable deserves to
• 33:20
win the Intercontinental Championship. He didn't mention on Raw that he's entering running the
• 33:23
Bank aiming for the world title. He was involved in a qualifying match.
• 33:28
He was removed from a qualifying match because of a big angle that we will
• 33:30
talk about later on in the show, and then I saw this morning he
• 33:34
has been added back to the qualifying match on Monday's Raw. Nonetheless, Doctor
• 33:37
Tray Samy's Ain retains the Intercontinental Championship. Yeah, this was another surprising result.
• 33:44
Yeah, you can't say anything bad about sammy's Ay and Chad Gable wrestling
• 33:49
each other because there are two of the best intering performers and in sellers of
• 33:54
our generation probably and probably two of the most underrated interring performers of our generation.
• 34:00
But yeah, I don't like it's weird. On one hand, you
• 34:04
want Sammy to win because he's the babyface and the crowds into it. The
• 34:07
flip side is though, like for a guy like Chad Gable you and I
• 34:10
admire so much, you're like, come on, the guy deserves a win
• 34:14
here. Uh, but yeah, it's setting up bigger stuff. I mean,
• 34:16
we saw, like you saw playing on Raw with the with the you
• 34:21
know, Alpha Academy implosion, the stuff, you know, towards the end
• 34:23
of the show, like it feels like he's on a different trajectory. But
• 34:29
usually if you're going on a big upward trajectory, usually grab the icy title
• 34:32
on the way to that. So I don't know where the Chad Gable stuff
• 34:37
is going. But anytime we get get more Gable on TV, I'm a
• 34:40
fan of it. So it kind of sucks for him because I think the
• 34:45
glass the Scotland crowd really did even though they're cheering for Sammy, I think
• 34:50
almost everybody wanted Gable to get a win, just because we all kind of
• 34:53
felt like he deserved it and then also what he could do with it.
• 34:58
But once again, you got Sammy's saying still on top, and that's arguably
• 35:00
one of our top three performers of the SRTU era. So I can't really
• 35:06
argue the result on that one. Yeah, and this loss may be something
• 35:08
bigger for Chad Gable, and in the short term it appears that way with
• 35:14
everything that he's currently involved with creatively, as it looks like the Alpha Academy
• 35:19
implosion has happened and they will no longer be aligned with him. Next match
• 35:23
is Bailey defeating Piper Niven to retain the WAE Women's Championship. We both had
• 35:28
Bailey winning this one. I want to see Piper Niven given more opportunities like
• 35:32
this in the future. I love that she got this opportunity, and I
• 35:37
just let's get away from even the hometown stuff. I thought Bailey did a
• 35:39
great job helping put Piper over and Niven show that she belonged in the spot
• 35:44
again. You know, I just hope this wasn't growing Piper Niven a bone
• 35:46
because she was the hometown girl again. I think she should be pushed more
• 35:51
outside of this. Bailey's title run as a babyface hasn't connected with me like
• 35:54
I hoped it would, which is a bit surprising. She's she's kind of
• 35:58
been stale, which tells you that she is really really good as a heel.
• 36:02
The last couple of years in this incarnation, and if they're going to
• 36:06
make her a babyface, which I think Doctor Trey is alluded to in a
• 36:08
lot of the responses since she turned, they really need to consider getting her
• 36:13
to that hugger character, which she may not want to do at this point
• 36:16
in her career either, because that was one of the most over babyfaces I've
• 36:21
ever seen in professional wrestling in the last entire time we've been recording this podcast.
• 36:24
But I just feel like this current title run, this babyface has not
• 36:29
connected well with at least me as a viewer. Doctor Try, Yeah,
• 36:31
I would. I watched this match. The first thing I thought was I
• 36:36
really liked this match, and a little bit, like you said with the
• 36:37
first match, it was a little bit of the storytelling, a little bit
• 36:39
of them kind of leaning into this was the omp favorite Bailey that kind of
• 36:45
play I don't say a tweener, but she could kind of play at the
• 36:47
graph because the crowd felt like they were really wanted Piper to win, so
• 36:51
she could kind of play into her previous character. But it's similar to the
• 36:55
feedback I get on about Cody Roadse on Top is it's a little stale and
• 37:00
a lot is because they just haven't developed that next big challenger for it kind
• 37:05
of feels like they're going through, you know, opponent of the month.
• 37:08
There's not a lot of depth in the storytelling to kind of help build up
• 37:13
the baby face, Like she really hasn't felt like she's had an obstacle to
• 37:16
overcome since winning the title at WrestleMania and damage Control going to Raw. So
• 37:22
I think there's still the process. I think, you know, the Naya
• 37:23
Tiffany alliance will be the thing that really makes her breaks Bailey's run here,
• 37:29
But yeah, I feel like she feels like the same character, just instead
• 37:35
of getting onto the crowd, she's encouraging the crowd. Like nothing really about
• 37:39
the Bailey character is different from her run as a heel to a face other
• 37:44
than just playing to the crowds. More so, she needs an adversary that
• 37:50
gives her an obstacle that she feels like are that looks like she may not
• 37:52
be able to overcome to really cement this run. And I see I think
• 37:57
you can see the seeds being planted, you know, with the Nigha stuff,
• 38:00
with the Tiffany stuff heading towards Summerslap. Yeah, I think the execution
• 38:07
on turning her baby face now, it's very easy to say after the fact,
• 38:10
just wasn't great. I mean, she was such a despised he oh,
• 38:14
really really good heel well light heal, and the damage control stuff was
• 38:17
really good in the separation from damage control. While there were points where it
• 38:22
was like it took a little bit of time and there was some definitely some
• 38:25
room that was breathing, I think the points of execution it didn't help make
• 38:34
her sympathetic when the turn eventually happened, like when Sammy Zane eventually left the
• 38:38
Bloodline or Jay Huso finally left the Bloodline. I wish they did a couple
• 38:44
more pages out of that book down granted both those guys more Sammy than Jay.
• 38:47
When the turns was happening, Sammy was completely over the crowd. Jay
• 38:52
wasn't yet. I think everybody saw the potential, but I would have liked
• 38:55
to see that play out more than the way that they executed it. And
• 39:00
I agree with you completely. I think the Niya Jacks, Tiffany Stratton stuff
• 39:05
is going to lead to hopefully making Bailey a little bit more of a sympathetic
• 39:08
babyface right now. And I think that will help hopefully help move things along.
• 39:17
My only concern is, which I think is a very real possibility come
• 39:22
Summer Slam, if Bailey is still champion, there's no cash in and obviously
• 39:24
Nia gets her title shot. Is Nya winning the title. So we'll have
• 39:30
to say again, it's so strange to say this. If you told me
• 39:34
this seven years ago, I woult to believe you. But Bailey's run as
• 39:36
a babyface has been very stale and it just doesn't seem like it's connecting well
• 39:39
with the audience. And this was someone who was kind of fifty to fifty
• 39:43
with Piper in Glasgow. They still loved her. They were still singing the
• 39:45
songs that they typically do every time they go over to the European areas.
• 39:51
Is the Bailey song that was first sung at that NXT London takeover several years
• 39:58
ago. So Bailey retains over the hometown girl Piper Knifven, who I just
• 40:04
loved how sincere and happy she was that her hometown crowd loved her back.
• 40:09
I really really love that and I've always enjoyed watching Piper Niven wrestle. Finally,
• 40:14
the main event here, Damian Priest defeats Drew McIntyre to retain the World
• 40:16
Have a Weight Championship. We both had Drew McIntyre getting the win. I
• 40:20
love the hype intention between both guys going the week going into this match.
• 40:24
I wish they capitalized that on that a little bit more over the last month
• 40:29
going to this match, as it felt like both guys actually don't like one
• 40:32
another, and that is cool and that's what you want to see. As
• 40:36
for the match itself, I don't know what Drew McIntyre has to do to
• 40:38
get his moment in the sun at some point. So many times he was
• 40:42
booked to lose, and despite being upset with that, I'm always left to
• 40:45
be more intrigued with his character. The top of the Raw brand card is
• 40:49
very hard to predict right now, and that makes the main event picture for
• 40:51
the Red Brand really fun as a fan, and it has a big fight
• 40:54
feel to it as well. We saw on Monday's Raw Drew quit. He
• 41:00
appeared on Friday SmackDown in a very cool camera angle where he bloodied up Sampunk
• 41:05
who was on SmackDown. So two guys on Raw showing up on SmackDown in
• 41:08
his hometown, Crown of Chicago, laid out Sam Punk and obviously the belief
• 41:13
it is here. This is probably going to keep him off television until he's
• 41:15
fully cleared, which I think the hope is for SummerSlam. I think he's
• 41:19
due to get clear here, maybe in the next six weeks. I think
• 41:22
Meltzer may have had a report out there that it's possible he may not be
• 41:25
ready for Summer Slam, which would push it out a little bit more.
• 41:30
But this was a fun match, fun build going into the week. Really
• 41:36
enjoyed it that the leg getting caught spot was extremely gnarly and thank god Damian
• 41:43
Priestino get hurt, lose a leg, nothing of any substance or damage to
• 41:49
him. And I don't know what Drew has to do Doctor Trey to win
• 41:54
the Big One, but it makes his character more intriguing. I know it
• 41:59
upsets. I know the fans in Glasgow were upset, and rightfully so.
• 42:02
But boyle boy, do I want to see more of Drew mccatyre every time
• 42:06
he loses one of these matches. Yeah? Watching the match, especially like
• 42:09
the match itself, like you get two athletic big men going at it.
• 42:13
To me, that's the epitome of professional wrestling. It's just two guys that
• 42:17
look like badasses just beating the hell out of each other. I love that
• 42:20
stuff. It had for this to be. One of my notes was like
• 42:24
for this to be the the B Heavyweight Championship. It had a big fight
• 42:30
feel and like, you're right, like the way these guys have blurred the
• 42:32
lines of like you wonder if they really dislike each other or they're just doing
• 42:37
a good job of presenting it that way. Like it was really well done.
• 42:42
And the matchesself, but I thought was really good. The Lake spot,
• 42:44
oh my god, I freaked out. I was like, cause momentarily,
• 42:47
like you saw the ref and Drew macizar book go crap, what do
• 42:51
we do? And they played it off really well. But as soon as
• 42:57
punk Rant came out, I went, oh my god, this is what
• 43:00
would happen if John Cena had beat Rob Van Damit at one Night's stand,
• 43:05
Like I literally thought we might have a riot crow just go nuts. But
• 43:09
yeah, it's it's a weird situation where it's like you're absolutely right. Every
• 43:13
time Drew loses in these spots, you get more intrigued about what he's going
• 43:16
to do next, which is one of those things where it's like, well,
• 43:19
crap, maybe he doesn't need the title, Maybe he doesn't need the
• 43:22
win because he gets more over every time. It's like every time he has
• 43:28
this weird obstacle, like he's he has more obstacles to overcome than most of
• 43:30
the baby faces and he's kind of the heel. So it's a really interesting
• 43:35
dynamic they're playing out here because you get a guy that's it's it's a little
• 43:39
bit of Breton Sean where in certain areas Drew's loved and Punk is hated,
• 43:45
and then you flip, you go to another area and it's completely flipped.
• 43:49
So, uh, we may you mentioned Brett and and soh call from ustlbody
• 43:52
at thirteen. This is reminded me of Breton Shan when they'd be in the
• 43:55
States and Brett's hated and they go to Canada and Brett's loved. So it
• 43:59
kind of feels like that with Drew and Punk. So but overall, like
• 44:04
really good match, decent finish, like it kind of did come out of
• 44:07
It was a little bit surprising, like I honestly did not expect to see
• 44:12
see a Punk in Scotland up until about a day before when Drew was making
• 44:15
the comments about don't come here because this country will kill you. But yeah,
• 44:20
it was just a really solid main event to close out Clashing the Castle
• 44:24
with a somewhat disappointing result with Drew not getting to win. Yeah. I
• 44:29
knew he was there punk because there was a couple social media posts that got
• 44:31
leaked to him being like out and about in Glasgow, which was you know,
• 44:37
it's like it's a bummer, like he had to figure he was going
• 44:38
to potentially appear. I know the referee spot. I love that they did
• 44:43
a camrangle far back so you just see somebody run into the ring and then
• 44:46
when he slides in the back of it, which which was really well done.
• 44:50
I knew right away it was punk, and I'm hearing that there are
• 44:52
people out there that were really surprised when they moved the camera, like the
• 44:55
reaction from the live crowd. I would have thought everybody knew it was punk
• 44:59
as well. But when they shift the camera angle because it's such a big
• 45:01
arena, and then they show his face and stopping it too, and the
• 45:06
reaction was really well done. You know, I thought that was a really
• 45:09
nice surprise. Maybe people were like really super hyper focused at the count and
• 45:15
thinking he was gonna win, which was which was cool. Yeah, everything
• 45:20
was just played out really really well and was just a, you know,
• 45:23
a very nice finish the show. It was funny because the crowd was chanting
• 45:28
for CM Punk, Like all night long, they were chanting for CM Punk,
• 45:30
which I found very funny because it's literally like the hometown boy, but
• 45:36
Punk is so loved that they still want to cheer for him, and there
• 45:39
was still a decent reaction. But then I saw the post show like farewell
• 45:44
from Samantha Irvin and she got booed, which people were upset about. But
• 45:46
it's like, what do you expect that crowd to do? I love Drew's
• 45:52
postmatch reaction like that. It was it's it felt legitimate. He was cursing,
• 45:57
they were bleeping him out, they were covering his mouth so that you
• 45:59
didn't know he was saying fuck. It looked it looked really really and authentic,
• 46:04
and I just thought it was a really nice finish. So all in
• 46:07
all, it was a fun show. Doctor Trey and I went both two
• 46:08
and three on the PAP Perview prediction record for this one. I'm sitting at
• 46:14
sixty eight and sixteen. Doctor Trey is at sitting at sixty three and twenty
• 46:17
one event rating and match the night. I gave it a three point seven
• 46:22
out of five. I didn't love the show. I it actually expected more
• 46:27
from Glasgow and I thought the crowd compared to like the France crowd was not
• 46:32
as good. So hopefully that doesn't lose any Glasgow listeners that tune in here.
• 46:37
I thought the show was okay. I thought it was a fun show
• 46:39
on a Saturday, but it didn't make me go man. I could watch
• 46:43
that show again. And my match of the night was Cody Rose and aj
• 46:45
Styles. I thought that was the best match. I don't feel like any
• 46:49
matches particularly stood out very well, but I thought this was was my favorite
• 46:54
match from the show. Doctor Trey. Yeah, I was slightly high point
• 47:00
eight. I I gave it my match and I was samely in Chad,
• 47:02
just because I'm like I can watch these guys wrestle and never be disappointed,
• 47:07
and it was kind of a better finish to the match than the other two
• 47:10
men's matches. My only this goes a couple of things though, Like for
• 47:14
me, it goes back to what you and I have talked about before with
• 47:17
the booking of the pay per views, like only having five matches, I
• 47:21
kind of wish there was at least a one or two more, uh,
• 47:23
to kind of give a little bit more meat on the bone when when we
• 47:27
do really small shows, it does kind of feel like a b pay per
• 47:30
view. But that was my take My big takeaway was just like, yeah,
• 47:34
it was a solid show. But outside of Punk as a referee,
• 47:38
which never really gets explained is how he's licensed to be a referee. But
• 47:43
outside of Punk as the ref I'm like, Okay, I don't really think
• 47:45
anything's going to like really stand out to me, you know, three,
• 47:50
four or five years from now. So again, I gave it a three
• 47:52
point seven match that I was coached road JJ styles and again, doctor Trey,
• 47:55
you're rating the match that I was three point eight, so slightly higher.
• 48:00
And then match of the night was what again I went with Sammy and
• 48:02
Chad, Sammy Zain and Chad Gable. So there you go. Feel free
• 48:07
to chime in at s RTU podcast on x and hit us up on Facebook,
• 48:13
Facebook dot com. Slashes to a Real Test show. Let's get into
• 48:15
some of the other big happenings that happened this past week, Doctor Trey.
• 48:19
Obviously, the big one on Monday's Raw was finally the execution of the Wyatt.
• 48:22
I don't think we have I don't know the pronunciation of the of the
• 48:27
name yet. Is it the Wyatt six, that's what they calling it,
• 48:30
but they're spelling it six with a six at the end. It's it's six.
• 48:35
  It's like S I C K S because that saw on the T shirt.
• 48:37
Okay, so it's the S is like a like like the number six.
• 48:43
Yeah, it's there. They they do a weird formation with it,
• 48:45
but it's still six, like pluralizing sick illness. Oh. I didn't realize
• 48:52
that that the It was like a weird way to spell the S. I
• 48:54
don't have to take a look at that. So all right, yeah,
• 49:00
so the execution finally happened. I'm trying to find the shirt right now on
• 49:04
shop, which is great for you know, while we do that. Oh
• 49:07
I see that? Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
• 49:09
All right, So it's the Wyat six finally arrived. Closing out Monday
• 49:14
Night Raw, we see Nicky Cross as Sister Abigail, Eric Rowan as the
• 49:22
Rambling Rabbit, the Dexter Loomis as Mercy the Buzzard, Joe Gacy as Huscus
• 49:30
the Pig, and then obviously the return of Uncle Howdy. The reaction for
• 49:35
Uncle Howdy was great. I'm sure they made Bo Dallas, who is under
• 49:38
Uncle Howdy, feel phenomenal. And obviously this is the first time in like
• 49:44
professional wrest in history that we're seeing a legacy carry forward with a legit passing
• 49:52
of someone. I know there were some angles in the past that were tasteless
• 49:57
in my opinion, when Eddie Garrell had passed away, like putting a low
• 50:00
rider in the back of the SmackDown set and blowing it up I think,
• 50:04
like weeks after he died and all that crap. I was not a big
• 50:07
fan of that, and I know they brought that up during the Ray angle
• 50:09
and how Eddie was in hell and all that shit. Did not enjoy that.
• 50:15
This, however, made me happy and smile and know that Bray Wyatt's
• 50:21
influence is still on and professional wrestling and his story can continue forward by these
• 50:27
five individuals and his brother, which was just really awesome. The angle itself
• 50:32
was great. Maybe I don't know if they're ever going to have a name
• 50:36
to it, but like this raw massacre. It was funny because a lot
• 50:39
of people were joking online that everybody was murdered based on the really graphic bloodstains
• 50:45
that they did, and they said, like Chad Gable got shot in the
• 50:47
head, it looked like and blood being splattered up against the wall. It
• 50:52
was something that we've never seen in w before. It was very horror esque,
• 50:58
which I'm sure made Bray Wyatt smile from up above. And yeah,
• 51:02
the execution of the angle was very memorable, Doctor Trey. The crowd loved
• 51:07
it. I loved it at home. It was cinema and I know,
• 51:12
Vince, you would always use the line that we make movies, and I
• 51:15
never really felt like those words were really true for most of the time under
• 51:19
Vince's creative rain. This was a time that when it was over and I
• 51:22
watched it, and I was like, man, that felt like a movie.
• 51:24
They made a movie. We'll talk about the wrestling impact of it in
• 51:29
just a moment. But the execution of the angle, Doctor Trey, your
• 51:32
thoughts, my friend. For something that was so hyped and something we were
• 51:39
all kind of looking forward to to see how they executed, this is one
• 51:43
of those few instances in the wrestling where I thought they the execution met the
• 51:49
expectation, Like I was expecting something, you know, really cool, something
• 51:54
outside the box, something that would kind of make you go, holy cow,
• 51:58
what did I just see here? And they nailed it, like they
• 52:01
like from everything from you know, sister Abigail's entrance, the with the door
• 52:08
and the whole thing, you know, kind of a throwback homage or whatever
• 52:10
you want to do with that. So the smoke being all throughout the backstage
• 52:15
area like that was really well done. The lighting was good, the camera
• 52:20
angles were well done. It's I don't know about you, but it feels
• 52:24
like even with the camera direction, it's it's so different from the Kevin Dunn
• 52:28
era now that it's fresh and different, and this is one of those instances
• 52:31
where you're like, wow, this is really too well done. You know,
• 52:34
the body's laying everywhere was cool. Now once again, like I don't
• 52:37
know if they're gonna make this like a dream sequence, because like, I'm
• 52:40
pretty sure I saw Braun Stroman laid out backstage, but then I see Braun
• 52:44
commenting that, no, that was I don't know what he's talking about.
• 52:45
Like it was like a weird like, I don't know if it's if it's
• 52:49
a dream sequence, a nightmare sequence or what. But he said he was
• 52:52
like still chasing the judgment day right, Yeah, Like, I don't know
• 52:54
what you're talking about. I was still out chasing the judgment down of the
• 52:57
building. I'm like, no, I'm pretty sure I saw you laid out.
• 52:59
You're kind of stand out, you're a giant. It's just the and
• 53:05
then the camerang is where you're leading into each different character, Like it's almost
• 53:08
like it's kind of like doing a promo, you know, shoot for these
• 53:15
characters live, like where it's leading into this giant guy with a sledgehammer in
• 53:19
a rabbit mask, and then here the buzzer, like all these things.
• 53:22
The way they weaved it in was really really well done. And the shot
• 53:27
that they did of Uncle Howdy coming out, I love that shot because you
• 53:34
feel like you're right there with Bot Dallas and not only presenting this character,
• 53:38
presenting this new faction, but then feeling the love from the crowd. Like
• 53:44
I loved that shot. It was really it was beautiful a lot of ways,
• 53:46
and seeing all the fireflies laid out as he walked out just fantastic camera
• 53:52
works to set all this up. Like you're absolutely right, like this was
• 53:54
the most cinematic thing they have done since the cinematic era of the pandemic time,
• 54:00
but just something so different in out of the Box is something we haven't
• 54:04
seen done. Like, I loved it. It met all my expectations.
• 54:08
A couple of things there if you go back and watch it. Thank god
• 54:12
this didn't happen. But I'm pretty sure Bo Dallas almost tripped going by as
• 54:16
he was walking towards Joe Gacy that or he didn't know like the I think
• 54:20
there's like a ramp that he didn't realize. Go back and watch that.
• 54:22
There's like something where he kind of missteps a little bit. I'm like,
• 54:25
holy crap. Would you imagine if he tripped or kind of got like sideways
• 54:30
a little bit like during this angle? That would have been horrific. There's
• 54:36
a couple of points there, what was it Chad Gable in the background later
• 54:40
to come to find out the was it the rambling rabbit puppet was behind him.
• 54:46
There was one with Huskus as well, right, you mentioned I don't
• 54:51
remember who was in who was the cam wrangle, but Huskus you had mentioned
• 54:53
was in the background, right, Yeah, And I'd have to go back
• 54:57
and look because I think there's the little characters to kind of lead into stuff.
• 55:02
And I thought somebod else, I don't know if you saw this,
• 55:04
somebody else said that they thought they thought they saw Gunther feed one of the
• 55:07
ones laid out backstay. Yeah. I wanted to address that because you mentioned
• 55:09
the bronze stroman thing. The last thing I'll mention real quick here with like
• 55:13
the behind the scenes shot. I guess there was one on SmackDown last night
• 55:15
with Cody Rhodes in the backstage area. The logo of like the circle and
• 55:22
then it's like a like a like a cross with like a smiley face that's
• 55:24
been airing. It almost looks like a gender. I guess it's the wyaed
• 55:30
six logo. Now. It was on a door in the background, which
• 55:34
is funny that they did that and then there was no execution. There's been
• 55:37
stuff on the Pat McAfee show that they they were taking over the feed and
• 55:39
then Adam Pierce's Twitter feed has been a while like taking over. When he
• 55:45
was announcing that Chad Gables back in the match on Mondays for Mondays were on
• 55:50
today on Saturday, and I think there's been a couple of times his social
• 55:53
media account has been hacked. What have you? So you mentioned this dream
• 55:59
sequence stuff, so people thought that they saw bron Stroman. There was like
• 56:02
this list of victims during that angle, and it was like all these different
• 56:07
faces and it was like Bruce Britchard, Triple Ah Gunther, Carmelo Hayes,
• 56:12
Bronz Stroman, and there was a extra or if it was legit Gunther,
• 56:20
that did look like Gunther laid out just as a pan from I think it
• 56:23
was Ramblin Rabbit, Eric Rowan, and it looked like Carmelo Hayes as well,
• 56:29
an extra who had some corn rows, and it looked like the same
• 56:31
exact way that Carmelo Hayes wears his hair. So to that point, if
• 56:37
if this is a dream sequence where it eventually leads to those people getting laid
• 56:40
out, Bravo, I love it. But if it is just something where
• 56:45
wrestling fans are like being sluice online and thinking me, those are those people,
• 56:50
then ww needs to learn from the situation and do extras that do not
• 56:54
look anything like any of the wrestlers. Because I believe that this is just
• 57:00
extras that happen and look like those wrestlers right now, because the only one
• 57:04
that was the legit wrestler in there was Chad Gable, But I think Chad
• 57:07
Gable being there led to more people being like, holy crap, I think
• 57:12
that's Gunther. So they need to definitely address that situation, whether it be
• 57:17
a little bit more poignant that this is a potential dream sequence foreshadowing, which
• 57:22
is they've done and it is fantastic, But if it's just them having extras
• 57:28
that look like wrestlers, then the restless on the roster, then they cannot
• 57:31
have that because you can't have fans thinking this because this reminds me of the
• 57:35
Alexa Bliss situation a couple weeks ago. I think Seamus was going to the
• 57:37
backstage area and people were sure that he walked by Alexa Bliss, and I
• 57:43
watched it multiple times today and I'm I'm pretty sure it's her as well,
• 57:46
or it's someone who looks really like her. Even when you like slow it
• 57:51
down, You're like, man, that looks like Alexa Blix Bliss, But
• 57:53
I can see that it's potentially not Alexa Bliss. So I feel like they
• 57:58
need to clean that up a little bit and and kind of give the viewer
• 58:02
a little bit of a better foreshadowing conclusion to this entire thing, rather than
• 58:07
us making up our own social media theories, which is honestly something WWE may
• 58:10
want us to do anyway. Yeah, So one of the things I was
• 58:14
thinking about as you were mentioning the different people that whether it was Carmelo Hayes
• 58:19
or an extra or somebody else, everybody that was kind of mentioned there is
• 58:23
factored into money in the bank. So the internet sleuth in me is looking
• 58:28
at going, well, we saw Carmelo Hayes in a qualifier on SmackDown and
• 58:30
he was one of the people that was potentially laid out. Gable's been in
• 58:34
and out this match, you know, ron Stroman Gunther, you know,
• 58:38
maybe not in a match yet, but it should be announced. Maybe this
• 58:43
leads to something big of money in the bank as well. And wouldn't it
• 58:46
be weird to have Uncle Howdy or one of those guys with the money in
• 58:49
the bank briefcase and the fact that they can be so secretive and mystical and
• 58:54
whatever you want to call it, that would make a really interesting cashion If
• 58:59
Uncle Howdy money in the bank, and then the lights go out at some
• 59:01
point during a heavyweight title match and come back on and that's his cashion.
• 59:07
So uh, that's just fantasy fantasy fan like really fantasy bookings something. But
• 59:13
it was weird that the people they showed there were ones some of the ones
• 59:15
that were involved in the money that make qualifying matches. Yeah, yeah,
• 59:19
it's that would be an interesting tie in. So the way that they do
• 59:22
this, I don't want to jump to any conclusions yet, because you know,
• 59:27
I'm like, it's again, it goes to one. If it's storyline,
• 59:31
awesome, love it. But if it's like, holy crap, these
• 59:36
extras really look like Carmelo Hayes gun through, then we need to change it
• 59:38
up a little bit. So really fun execution of the angle. And then
• 59:43
obviously the second part in this doctor training. I think everybody is kind of
• 59:45
talking about this because I loved the Fiend bray Wyatt, but as an in
• 59:52
ring performer and not the actual in ring skills of bray White by any means
• 59:57
whatsoever, but as an in ring performer, the Fiend bray Wyatt was hard
• 1:00:02
at times to love because he destroyed everybody was so menacing and violent that it
• 1:00:09
really felt like nobody could or should ever be able to beat him, and
• 1:00:15
he was so dominant. Whenever you do these supernatural type characters, whether it
• 1:00:21
be the Fiend bray Wyatt or the Undertaker, it's hard to do flaws where
• 1:00:25
it's hard to believe that these people could actually lose. And I had read
• 1:00:30
going into the angle being executed that they were going to try to shy away
• 1:00:35
from that and shy away from him having these supernatural powers per se, all
• 1:00:45
of the characters that make like however they're doing these costumes was going to give
• 1:00:47
them the opportunity to really wrestle and not be hindered by wrestling, because if
• 1:00:52
you actually go back to that Immortal documentary on Peacock of bray Wyatt, bray
• 1:00:57
Wyatt mentions that he had a really tough time wrestling with the burned Fiend,
• 1:01:04
and that's what actually creatively changed the whole moment at Wrestlmania thirty eight where or
• 1:01:10
was the thirty thirty seven excuse me, where his he transformed back to the
• 1:01:15
Fiend bray Wyatt from after being burned leading into the angle with Randy Orton.
• 1:01:19
So it does seem like there's some apprehension right now on Okay, this angle
• 1:01:24
was really good, creative, entertaining and fun, but how can this translate
• 1:01:29
to professional wrestling? And as much as I love the angle and thought it
• 1:01:32
was perfect executed amazingly a very memorable moment in w w EE raw wrestling history,
• 1:01:38
there is a part of me that's like, Okay, how is this
• 1:01:40
going to play out now? From the you know, squared circle perspective?
• 1:01:45
Yeah, one of the things I thought about it too, because one of
• 1:01:47
the things it was really hard to book the Fiend because he's basically, you
• 1:01:54
know, you're Michael Myers, you're Freddy Krueger, he's your you know,
• 1:01:59
horror icon. But the crowd is cheering for, Like, the crowd loved
• 1:02:01
it so much, it was hard to make him make it a heel type
• 1:02:06
character. So it's hard to book monsters when the crowd loves them. It's
• 1:02:12
just one of those things like good you know, I've said the show.
• 1:02:15
Dear God knows how many times good guys need obstacles to overcome. You need
• 1:02:19
a reason to cheer for the guy that you're you're following, and they have
• 1:02:23
to have things that seem insurmountable at times, and the Fiend nothing seems insurmountable.
• 1:02:31
Typically, when you book monsters as heels, the monsters are dominant,
• 1:02:35
but they make one mistake. They slip on the banana peel. They make
• 1:02:37
that air in judgment and then the good guy can capitalize and get the wind.
• 1:02:43
So when it came to this group, when they're laying it out,
• 1:02:45
I was like, yeah, I really don't want them to go the supernatural
• 1:02:47
oute like turn the lights on off. Cool, that's fine that I mean,
• 1:02:51
you can have an inside guy in the you know, in the backstage,
• 1:02:54
killing the power, so to speak. I kind of hope his group
• 1:02:58
comes off as a cult and they're followers of Bray or their followers or the
• 1:03:04
Fiend, because that you can do a cult and they're not supernatural, which
• 1:03:07
gives them, you know, a human element than that they can be defeated
• 1:03:12
at times, but then you have the group swarming and it seems insurmountable.
• 1:03:15
So I'm with you. I kind of hope they kind of stay away from
• 1:03:22
the supernatural undertaker Caine Bray Wyatt type stuff and make it more of a humanized
• 1:03:28
cult. That's one of the things I loved about listen to fully Ray this
• 1:03:30
week was that, you know, somebody was asking him, like, who
• 1:03:32
the sixth person is in the Wyat sixth and he said, it's Bray.
• 1:03:37
Bray is in the lantern or whatever. But that's them following Bray and Bray
• 1:03:43
is the leader of this whole group, and he's the sixth member even though
• 1:03:46
he's not physically here with us. And I love that mindset of basically these
• 1:03:52
people coming together to follow the mentality what the Bray Wyatt character was, and
• 1:03:59
they're more of a human cult than supernatural characters. Yeah, it's going to
• 1:04:04
be intriguing to see how this continues forward here over the next couple of weeks.
• 1:04:11
I'm really looking forward to Monday's Raw and seeing this play out. So
• 1:04:15
the Wyat six have arrived and I'm excited. I'm really really excited for it.
• 1:04:20
And then finally, the last thing I want to talk about here in
• 1:04:23
regards the big moments, and then we'll talk about one last thing to wrap
• 1:04:26
up the show. Jacoba two finally joins a bood Line on last night's edition
• 1:04:30
of SmackDown Doctor Trey. I don't know much about Jacoba two. I do
• 1:04:35
not watch MLW, but it seems that a lot of the hardcorees that are
• 1:04:39
out there do watch MLW are very excited for him to get this opportunity to
• 1:04:43
be on a bigger scale of WE and get this opportunity because he could be
• 1:04:47
a menace, is hard hitting, his physical as violent, so there's a
• 1:04:50
lot of people that have seen his work that are very excited. I did
• 1:04:54
read going into this that there was concern from the creative team reportedly that he
• 1:04:59
is so believable in his role that they think that he may be able to
• 1:05:01
surpass Solo Solo Sokoa, who they're trying to push forward here obviously in a
• 1:05:08
main event perspective. Moving along, what do you know about Jacobatuo if anything,
• 1:05:13
Doctor Trey and this has been the long rumor. I think this was
• 1:05:15
pre wrestle MANI even that the feeling was is that he had signed with w
• 1:05:19
  W. William was going to be joining the bloodline at some point. Yeah,
• 1:05:23
he was Actually to me, I thought he would come in before Tomatonga
• 1:05:27
because he's he's freakish, like, he's so athletic, like he's umaga with
• 1:05:34
the ability to do moon salts, like he is one of the most believable
• 1:05:39
characters of just being like a wild crazy if you go back, like I
• 1:05:44
don't know if how old you were when like the Samoan Swat Team or the
• 1:05:47
head Shrinkers were around, but as a kid, those guys actually freaked me
• 1:05:53
out, Like they were so believable in those roles that it blurred that line.
• 1:05:58
I'm much older, and he blurs the line for me, Like there
• 1:06:00
are times I'm like, this dude seems like he's out of control, but
• 1:06:03
he's he's that believable. Like if you're looking for a big, bad Samoan
• 1:06:09
enforcer, that's your guy. And some of the stuff he can do in
• 1:06:12
the ring is incredible for a guy his size. I mean the guys like
• 1:06:16
three hundred pounds three hundred and twenty pounds and can fly around the ring at
• 1:06:21
times. Like That's why I said, Like the best comparison I've had to
• 1:06:25
and we've used it with Solo is he's a bigger Solo, except that he
• 1:06:30
seems more unhinged than what Solo was when he came up to the main roster,
• 1:06:33
Like the Solo he saw on NXT was different than we saw Solo in
• 1:06:38
the Bloodlined, which is different from the Solo E See now he's Jacob Fatu
• 1:06:42
is legit. So I'm really excited to see this incarnation because there was the
• 1:06:46
rumors that he may side whenever we do the Roman Rock Bloodline civil War,
• 1:06:51
that he might side with the Roman site. Well you're not seeing that now,
• 1:06:55
So it makes it interesting to see who they bring up to maybe pair
• 1:07:00
with Roman and the USO's for that murmured match down the road. But right
• 1:07:04
now, I mean when you put the grills of Destiny, Jacob Fatu and
• 1:07:09
Solo Soakoa together like it's it's gonna be interesting to see how how well this
• 1:07:13
all plays out. By the way, the Paul Hayman Them Puck stuff Us
• 1:07:15
SmackDown was so well done that I'm like, Paul looks like he's scared for
• 1:07:19
his life, and I love it, like he is just terrified everything going
• 1:07:24
on. It's a completely it's a complete departure from anything he's ever done,
• 1:07:30
and it's once again just on the depth of the character of Paul Hayman.
• 1:07:32
But we did get a Paul Hayman, see I'm punk hug out of this
• 1:07:35
whole thing as well. I did love how the announcers put over Jacob Fatu,
• 1:07:40
like he's the one that the family members don't want to be around.
• 1:07:43
And again, I love character development, and you just point out some great
• 1:07:46
stuff with Paul Hayman on On Friday SmackDown, which will bring up here momentarily
• 1:07:50
as well. But if you go back at that closing segment, there's a
• 1:07:55
couple of things I did, like Solo Soka like kind of directing Jacob Fatou,
• 1:08:00
like you could hear him saying Jake, Jake, like go do some
• 1:08:04
stuff on the on the top of the turnbuckle to get his attention. And
• 1:08:09
then the close of SmackDown. So there's two parts here. The one part
• 1:08:12
that I thought was funny is Jacob Fatwu did not hold the one for long,
• 1:08:15
and you could see Solo say to him, like put the one back
• 1:08:19
up. But look at Tongaloa from behind, Like Tamatunga has a really cool
• 1:08:25
reaction where he doesn't really change character, but Tongaloa is like apprehensive, like
• 1:08:30
holy crap, he's with us now, and then puts his finger up like
• 1:08:32
I don't know if I'm even okay with this, And it feeds into what
• 1:08:38
Corey Graves said, like this is the one that the family members don't want
• 1:08:42
anything to do with because they're afraid of him or whatever. So I thought
• 1:08:45
that was really well done. So yeah, I'm excited. I don't know
• 1:08:48
much about Jacobatoo, but I've heard so many great things about him and I'm
• 1:08:51
excited to see the latest member of the Bloodline take place here. With that
• 1:08:58
said, I just want to say, like, how good. This is
• 1:09:01
the last thing I want to talk about. How good was WWE this week?
• 1:09:04
You had the Wyat six drew in Punk. That segment on SmackDown was
• 1:09:10
great. Paul Hayman Cempunk Bloodline that Doctor Trey talked about. I love the
• 1:09:14
character developments of Paul Hayman and he's like take me with you, like he's
• 1:09:18
afraid and then Solo Sokoa everything lost in all this saying I talked to the
• 1:09:24
tribal chief he's not coming back, and Paul Hayman being devastated, which also
• 1:09:29
makes me think Doctor Tray that maybe the Roman return is coming sooner than we
• 1:09:32
think, maybe as early as SummerSlam, or maybe they prolonged a little bit
• 1:09:38
more. It's definitely gonna be something like I would feel at a Big Four
• 1:09:41
pay per view whether it be SummerSlam, survivor Series Royal Rommel, But I
• 1:09:45
think the fans want to see Roman now and the iron is very hot.
• 1:09:49
Would not surprise me if we go Cody versus Solo at SummerSlam, Cody retains
• 1:09:56
and you close out that show with the turn of the Tribal Chief. I
• 1:10:00
mean that crowd is going to lose their ship. They are excited to see
• 1:10:03
Roman reigns back, which is incredible, incredible stuff the creatives doing right now.
• 1:10:09
Otis finally snapping on Gable, Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian of TNA joining
• 1:10:14
NX or appearing on NX T Joe Hendry's segment is the most viewed and liked
• 1:10:21
YouTube or TikTok so maybe both since WrestleMania, which is Wild seth Rawlins Return
• 1:10:29
and now is a match with Damian Priest Money in the Bank. And I
• 1:10:31
also want to say AW was very good as well. I love the Swerve
• 1:10:34
Osprey face to face segment on Wednesday's dynam My MJF and Rouche was very fun
• 1:10:39
as well. Great week for professional rat saying, but overall, no disrespect
• 1:10:44
to AW. I mean, how good was w W This week Doctor Try.
• 1:10:47
They were, they were. It was weird, like the the pl
• 1:10:51
E was the letdown of the last seven days as we re record the show,
• 1:10:56
and it was still a solid you know p l E. But raw
• 1:11:00
was so fantastic. I mean, Seth Rollins channeled his inner godfather with that
• 1:11:02
outfit. Like I kept wait for the come down to you know, pimp
• 1:11:06
and easy type stuff. But you're you're seeing the stuff with you know,
• 1:11:13
that was a Babyface Damian Priest promo out there with with with Seth Rawlins,
• 1:11:17
I'm like, oh, we did that? Does that tie into more so
• 1:11:20
with the eventual split of the judgment day and then of course you like you
• 1:11:23
mentioned the YA six and then SmackDown with Salt like the stuff even the stuff
• 1:11:27
with like Logan Paul and Santos Escobar in La nine, like that was well
• 1:11:30
done and that that's like the throwaway feud in all of this, you know,
• 1:11:33
and that's gonna be those things and and I see, I don't know,
• 1:11:36
did you did Joe Henry stuff like I've I've seen Joe Hendry And just
• 1:11:43
for somebody tell me that that's the most viewed WWE video since WrestleMania Just shows,
• 1:11:48
you like, what kind of pull the guys. His theme song was
• 1:11:50
on the charts in England for Crying Out Loud, Like they're playing it on
• 1:11:56
terrestrial radio as a song like it's crazy. See how well that song's over.
• 1:12:00
So maybe the most over song since Glorious And that's how catchy that thing
• 1:12:06
is. I saw people say that they didn't know who Joe Henry was,
• 1:12:10
but they can't get the theme song out of their heads since they watched NXT
• 1:12:13
this week. So just a crazy, crazy week. The Frankie Gazeria thing
• 1:12:17
like lost in Shoffle. I am so happy for Franki Kazerian to get a
• 1:12:23
match, be involved in a match on WW television. I mean, you
• 1:12:27
think about how long this guy's been wrestling, and he's been on TV as
• 1:12:30
enhancement talent, but to actually be in a match after almost twenty years in
• 1:12:34
the business in NXC like, I was so happy for him as well,
• 1:12:38
and we still even then didn't get the weird aw thing with Kazan Kazarian lexis
• 1:12:44
kid like we thrown that into the mix from the previous AC when Cody was
• 1:12:46
there, that would be good too, so but just tremendous week of w
• 1:12:50
W programming. So always lost in the Kazarian shuffle is that he was a
• 1:12:55
WWE wrestler at one point. Do you remember that? Not in the sense
• 1:13:00
of like I can remember his name in WWE, like I know he's been
• 1:13:03
used at enhancement time. I remember I had seen him on Sunday Night eight
• 1:13:06
a lot back in the late nineties early two thousands, but like, never
• 1:13:11
in a featured role. He signed with the company back in five, was
• 1:13:16
on Velocity for a little bit, and then left the company in August,
• 1:13:21
so it was very, very short lived, and he was like working like
• 1:13:26
cruiseweight matches at that point, so I don't think he ever made it to
• 1:13:30
a raw on SmackDown, but it was working like Velocity on the like the
• 1:13:32
SmackDown brand, and then went back to TNA. It just wasn't working out
• 1:13:34
for him. So it was a really fun and wild week. I was
• 1:13:40
not I'm not privy enough to know much about Joe Hendry as well, but
• 1:13:43
I can't get the theme song out of my head. I know he's very
• 1:13:45
over with the fan bases out there, and you could just tell he's got
• 1:13:48
a lot of chrisma and is a captivating character. So that was I'm sure
• 1:13:53
a very fun moment for him as well. So great week of programming on
• 1:13:57
we I also don't want to shy away from saying that I thought aw did
• 1:14:00
a really good job as well. So this has been an action packed episode
• 1:14:04
of s RTU. I think it's time to wrap up this week's edition of
• 1:14:09
the show and head down to the hospital, go see my wife and son,
