- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench. We have to Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied to.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:50Speaker 3: All right, welcome back to you. In hour number two,
- 0:53Speaker 3: have O TV here live from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Jake Flynn, Alandre at tte Oh here with you on
- 0:58Speaker 3: this checks watch Thursday morning. Right there you go. We
- 1:07Speaker 3: spent the last segment talking about the New Orleans Saints
- 1:11Speaker 3: and a lot of people are mocking them to Jeremiah
- 1:14Speaker 3: Love running back out of Notre Dame. Now Notre Dame,
- 1:18Speaker 3: you know, obviously featured him, and he was a really
- 1:21Speaker 3: really good player and maybe the second best back in
- 1:23Speaker 3: this draft might also be from Notre Dame. So I
- 1:26Speaker 3: get the intrigue.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Certainly do.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I think he's a really good football player, But I
- 1:30Speaker 3: don't know that he's a really good football player for
- 1:31Speaker 3: the Saints right now here in this moment, and he
- 1:34Speaker 3: tore it up and Indy, no question about it, only
- 1:36Speaker 3: solidified all the thoughts that we had about him. But
- 1:40Speaker 3: he's gonna to start, He's going to be a really
- 1:42Speaker 3: good player. No doubt, but where you have needs, they
- 1:46Speaker 3: don't match up with a running back. And y'all know me,
- 1:48Speaker 3: I'm always gonna fight for the running back, but not
- 1:49Speaker 3: in this case because I think you can get somebody
- 1:53Speaker 3: in free agency that can help you. And if you
- 1:57Speaker 3: still want to pair them with Alvin Kamara, right, if
- 1:59Speaker 3: that's what you want to do, you can do that.
- 2:01Speaker 3: But you've even got younger backs on this team as
- 2:04Speaker 3: well that can give you something. But let's say, I
- 2:06Speaker 3: mean you can go get Kenneth Gainwell helps you, right,
- 2:11Speaker 3: that's somebody that's different than obviously.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Ganwell was balling at the end, and like different, like
- 2:17Speaker 4: really good player, like you could not stop that guy,
- 2:21Speaker 4: like ganinning yards after he was hit. Explosiveness. Just vision
- 2:26Speaker 4: you playing really well. And there's a list of running backs.
- 2:28Speaker 3: And Kenneth Gainwell is probably gonna cost you two point
- 2:31Speaker 3: nine million per year, So you can find some value
- 2:37Speaker 3: at that position because it's not so bad in your
- 2:40Speaker 3: current situation that you have to take one at eight.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I just don't feel that way about the running back
- 2:45Speaker 3: position for the New Orleans Saints. So I'm a little
- 2:47Speaker 3: surprised that people continue to mock a running back to them.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I think a playmaker. Absolutely, you need a playmaker right now.
- 2:55Speaker 3: But when I look at this roster, this is guys
- 3:00Speaker 3: that are either like under contractor coming back. This isn't
- 3:02Speaker 3: guys that are your free agents, that are unrestricted free
- 3:05Speaker 3: agents that could sign back with you.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I'm just talking about what you have right now.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Like I look at the running back room, and it's Aka,
- 3:10Speaker 3: it's Andre Miller, it's Devin neil idrig Estime. You got
- 3:15Speaker 3: bodies there, okay, and capable ones when I go and
- 3:19Speaker 3: I do the same thing. At receiver for the Saints,
- 3:22Speaker 3: it's Chris Olave, It's Vele It's Mason Tipton, It's Kevin
- 3:27Speaker 3: Austin Junior, It's Bob Means, it's Ronnie Bell, It's Jalen
- 3:32Speaker 3: Polk and Trey Palmer and Dante Pettish Steep. So which
- 3:41Speaker 3: one of those needs more help and which one is
- 3:43Speaker 3: going to be more impactful?
- 3:45Speaker 2: It's the receiver room.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Now. If you don't love any of these receivers at eight, okay,
- 3:51Speaker 3: you could, dude, like we talk about, you could trade back,
- 3:53Speaker 3: get in the teens and still select a receiver. You
- 3:57Speaker 3: could select one, certainly at forty two and still get
- 3:59Speaker 3: a good play or maybe maybe go tight end getting
- 4:05Speaker 3: Sadik out of Oregon right because your tight end room
- 4:07Speaker 3: right now with Juwan Johnson. We don't know what Taysom
- 4:11Speaker 3: Hill's gonna do. We don't know where falseham Moro is
- 4:13Speaker 3: going to be. Obviously, like Whiz Contract, that's a playmaker
- 4:18Speaker 3: now even at eight. And now it's like, but I
- 4:21Speaker 3: like that more at eight than I like a running
- 4:22Speaker 3: back at eight. We were talking about a tight end
- 4:25Speaker 3: that was the no doubt, without question, top tight end
- 4:28Speaker 3: in his class. And then he goes out there and
- 4:29Speaker 3: runs a four three nine benches two twenty five twenty
- 4:32Speaker 3: six times, which that's important for him being a two
- 4:35Speaker 3: forty guy.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I hear the thought there. I cannot get behind it.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I'd rather Jeremiah Love than a tight end of eight.
- 4:43Speaker 4: And you know, I'm a big running back hater, but
- 4:46Speaker 4: I'm still not taking tight end. Like we talked about.
- 4:49Speaker 4: It was Monday, it was the last first round, or
- 4:51Speaker 4: at least like top of the first round.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Tight end. Goup Hits is one that six out of
- 4:56Speaker 2: my mind. I took him five years to get gone.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I think the the other we mentioned was Vernon Davis. Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 2: pretty good, actually awesome.
- 5:04Speaker 4: To your point, it's two guys, two guys, like I mean,
- 5:07Speaker 4: you just it's not a physician that you selecting top
- 5:09Speaker 4: ten very often, Yeah, it's not, but like you better
- 5:13Speaker 4: be sure, that'll be real sure. But like if you're
- 5:15Speaker 4: taking I would rather Jeremia love that what some people
- 5:19Speaker 4: just like you said, I think is a top.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Prospect of the draft, if you're going to do right.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I don't like either one of them at eight.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I'll be honest. I don't like either one of them. No,
- 5:25Speaker 4: I don't at all. I don't like I don't like
- 5:28Speaker 4: picking an eight this draft for the needs that you have.
- 5:33Speaker 4: So I'm like a broken record on the trade back,
- 5:35Speaker 4: trade back, trade back, like I don't for the needs
- 5:37Speaker 4: that you have and you want. I don't like the
- 5:40Speaker 4: eighth pick. It's valuable though you talked about the who's
- 5:46Speaker 4: the linebacker you talked about recently, Sunny Styles. You talk
- 5:51Speaker 4: about Sonny Styles about.
- 5:52Speaker 2: How like he might be pull my hamstring might be
- 5:55Speaker 2: to the commissioner. He also might be the best prospect
- 5:58Speaker 2: in this entire draft.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I think he is the best.
- 6:00Speaker 4: If you have two guys that some people think in
- 6:02Speaker 4: some views and in some camps.
- 6:04Speaker 2: It's the best.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Prospect Jeremiah Love Sonny Stott, Like. If you have those
- 6:08Speaker 4: two guys there, like, that's a valuable in set to have.
- 6:11Speaker 3: If you have Jeremiah Love and Sunny Styles available and
- 6:14Speaker 3: you go Jeremiah Love, it's the wrong move. And it's
- 6:19Speaker 3: Bourline agregious. If you take either one of them, it's
- 6:22Speaker 3: the wrong move. I take Sony Styles at eight, now,
- 6:25Speaker 3: oh I would.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Okay, I could get behind that more, I guess.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But Sony Styles is somebody that can play on every level.
- 6:33Speaker 4: I know, but it goes against everything that we've been
- 6:34Speaker 4: saying about. You got your quarterback.
- 6:36Speaker 3: If Sony Stouts has edge rusher ability too, and so
- 6:40Speaker 3: Tomorio Davis isn't gonna be in the middle of that defense,
- 6:42Speaker 3: I can make a case for that easy. If tomorrow
- 6:44Speaker 3: Davis is in there, Okay, Sony Style's there, he's got
- 6:46Speaker 3: a green down on the back of his helmet and
- 6:48Speaker 3: he's gonna get everybody ready to go. He just played
- 6:50Speaker 3: in Matt Patricia's offense in Ohio State, which is a
- 6:53Speaker 3: very difficult defense, a lot of complexity to it, NFL guy,
- 6:59Speaker 3: and he had the green out for a reason. I
- 7:01Speaker 3: can get behind that, I can make a case for that.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I can't really make a case for jeremih Love right now.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I'm just saying, if either one of those and in
- 7:11Speaker 4: some camps both of those players are the most could
- 7:14Speaker 4: be the best prospect in the entire draft, including Fernando Mendoza,
- 7:19Speaker 4: then you have a valuable asset to trade at eight.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Somebody that's picking in the late teens in the twenties
- 7:26Speaker 4: is also going to.
- 7:27Speaker 3: It's a smart move.
- 7:29Speaker 4: But if you are forced to pick one, yes, I'm
- 7:32Speaker 4: with you. Take the linebacker that could be a Day one,
- 7:37Speaker 4: huge impact at multiple levels of your defense.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Could we see the Saints get the receiver in free
- 7:48Speaker 3: agency and not the draft. We've talked about this receiver class, right,
- 7:53Speaker 3: Jordan Tyson hamstring guy soft Tissued don't love it, love
- 7:56Speaker 3: him as a player, Don't love that Carnel Tate. I
- 7:59Speaker 3: don't love the fact that he's ever been the guy.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Like we go on and on and on. I actually,
- 8:03Speaker 3: for the Saints, I wish you could trade back, get
- 8:06Speaker 3: some picks and select Omar Cooper out of Indiana somewhere
- 8:09Speaker 3: in the late twenties. I mean, that guy is awesome.
- 8:11Speaker 3: That guy's gonna play for a long time. That's not
- 8:14Speaker 3: their history, it's not what they do. What about free agency?
- 8:18Speaker 3: Some of the top guys. You got Juwan Jennings, you
- 8:21Speaker 3: got Alec Pierce, you got one, Delle Robinson, Deebo, Samuel
- 8:25Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill, Rashid Shaheed who obviously you know very well,
- 8:29Speaker 3: Mike Evans, Romeo Dobbs, Keenan Allen, Hollywood Brown, Christian Kirk
- 8:34Speaker 3: that's your tipe receivers. Is there anything in there that
- 8:38Speaker 3: can make you sign a veteran player out of that group?
- 8:42Speaker 3: We just talked about the running back group from free agency.
- 8:45Speaker 2: What about the receivers.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean there's some there's some good players, some
- 8:50Speaker 4: great players on this list. You just named a lot
- 8:52Speaker 4: of them, and I was trying, I'm going down the
- 8:55Speaker 4: list here.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Like you said, I like the Christian Kirk move. You
- 9:00Speaker 2: took the page Jawan a lot, but j want Jennings stud.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Juwan's going to on the market. The value right now
- 9:06Speaker 3: is twenty two per Heiris is twenty per one. Delle
- 9:09Speaker 3: Robinson seventeen. The belief for Christian Kirks, he's gonna get five.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Y'all might laugh at this a little bit.
- 9:20Speaker 4: They also have a free agent out there that could
- 9:23Speaker 4: you could get for cheap and Hunter Renfro I.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Was just about to say that Hunter Renfro was still
- 9:29Speaker 5: right there too.
- 9:30Speaker 4: You might get some laughs out there. But do you
- 9:31Speaker 4: remember the it was a podcast where I think it
- 9:36Speaker 4: was Durwin James was.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It was he was naming the.
- 9:41Speaker 3: It was with Ryan receivers.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Yeah, like he was some of the top five dogs
- 9:46Speaker 4: wide receiver and he listed.
- 9:49Speaker 3: He said it and then like all these all the
- 9:51Speaker 3: guys in the podcast are like laughing record scratch and
- 9:54Speaker 3: he had like a straight face.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:56Speaker 4: He was like he's like, go watch film, Like have
- 9:58Speaker 4: you ever watched film on him? And you tell me
- 10:01Speaker 4: what you see. Yeah, he's I don't stereotype it because
- 10:03Speaker 4: that guy is a dog, So I mean you can
- 10:06Speaker 4: get him. I think it's According to this website.
- 10:09Speaker 3: They played in six games last year, fifteen catches, twenty
- 10:14Speaker 3: six targets.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Yeah, what about Wandell Robinson Jake, Like a lot of
- 10:18Speaker 6: people will say, oh, well the Giants had a bad offense.
- 10:21Speaker 6: All they have some elite neighbors. Wandell Robinson at a
- 10:24Speaker 6: thousand yards receiving last year. Yeah, and the year before that,
- 10:27Speaker 6: he had seven hundred and that was a really bad offense.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Daniel Jones.
- 10:30Speaker 6: They had traded him mid season. He wasn't good at all.
- 10:34Speaker 6: They weren't good at all after they traded Daniel Jones,
- 10:36Speaker 6: like Wandell Robinson seventeen hundred yards eight touchdowns in the
- 10:42Speaker 6: last two years in a Giants offense that hasn't been great.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Do you hear me out? Okay, I was gonna say,
- 10:48Speaker 5: hear me out.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Free agent out there that you might can get for
- 10:52Speaker 7: a good price, Alec Pearce, And I actually think that
- 10:56Speaker 7: he's I mean, he had a thousand receiving yards this
- 10:59Speaker 7: past season.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Peers per is great. Yeah, I love Pierce. He's going
- 11:02Speaker 3: to cost you about twenty.
- 11:04Speaker 6: That's the thing when you when you brought him up
- 11:06Speaker 6: a minute ago, Like if A. J. Brown is released,
- 11:09Speaker 6: he's obviously going to be the number one guy right now,
- 11:12Speaker 6: kind of like Juwan Jennings. Great players, big body guys,
- 11:15Speaker 6: great in this offense. How much do you want to
- 11:18Speaker 6: pay because you're gonna pay Chris and Lave.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Nicole, how much do you want to pay everything?
- 11:21Speaker 5: I guess twenty.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Wanda Robinson, he's like they're projecting him at least seven seventeen.
- 11:28Speaker 5: But I think like you would really help alave.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:35Speaker 6: People people crap on him because he's had hit or years.
- 11:40Speaker 6: May imagine he's had hit or miss seasons, but he's
- 11:43Speaker 6: also had hit or miss quarterbacks. I've always like Christian Kirk.
- 11:47Speaker 6: He can play inside, he can play outside. He's hovers
- 11:50Speaker 6: around six feet tall. I mean his looks like five
- 11:53Speaker 6: point three million is his market value right now. And
- 11:56Speaker 6: you need help in the slot because if you put
- 11:58Speaker 6: him in the slot Veyle worked out on the other side,
- 12:01Speaker 6: you could be versatile with a guy like Christian Kirk.
- 12:03Speaker 6: He's a guy always liked.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I can I interest you in Rashid Shahed? You actually can't,
- 12:11Speaker 2: And I'm back home. I'm coming home because it doesn't look.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Like he's gonna Everyone knows I was a sh truther.
- 12:18Speaker 4: So yeah, market value for Rashid shahied sitting at fourteen MILLI.
- 12:29Speaker 6: I love Shahed in your offense, He's probably a three.
- 12:33Speaker 6: That was always my biggest complaint about Shed a great returner.
- 12:36Speaker 6: I think you had a three playing a two.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Oh, I disagree with that. I think he at times
- 12:43Speaker 3: was played more like a one.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Then that's what I think that's the opinion.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I had to know he was great with the deep balls.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Rashid like Rashid Rashid.
- 12:52Speaker 7: Yeah, why am I tripping out Rashid Shahed God, I.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Just short circuited.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I thought that he'd played like a one like
- 13:02Speaker 7: for Seattle.
- 13:02Speaker 3: To your point, Seattle, that that's how they used him.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I really liked rashikha heat in New Orleans.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Me too.
- 13:09Speaker 6: He was he was great and at times he would
- 13:11Speaker 6: come up with big time games. At times he would
- 13:14Speaker 6: have one catch for twelve yards. I mean he was
- 13:18Speaker 6: He was a hit or miss guy. And I love Shaheed,
- 13:20Speaker 6: But do you pay fifteen million dollars for him?
- 13:23Speaker 2: Because that's probably what he's gonna get.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Say the same for a sure.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Okay, did Rashiki he how many? How much time did
- 13:33Speaker 3: he get with Tyler Shack?
- 13:35Speaker 2: I'm trying to go.
- 13:37Speaker 5: One maybe like one game.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, don't d have to running back at eight he
- 13:46Speaker 3: moved back.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Select the receiver in the teams.
- 13:49Speaker 3: You'll get a good one, a couple of them, get
- 13:51Speaker 3: a pick, get a pick somewhere before you're forty two,
- 13:56Speaker 3: where you're at in the second round.
- 13:58Speaker 2: How good would you feel if you trade it back to.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Twelve with the Cowboys because they moved to eight to
- 14:04Speaker 3: take Monsoeur.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Delaine before the Chiefs do it nine.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Okay, so the Cowboys move up to eight, you get twelve,
- 14:12Speaker 3: and then you get their second round pick.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Chiefs aren't taking Jeremiah Love.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Well, they just traded Trent McDuffie yesterday, so they got
- 14:19Speaker 3: they gotta need at corner too.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Cowboys have two first round picks.
- 14:23Speaker 3: You get twelve, they get eight, and then you get
- 14:25Speaker 3: their second, their third, and a lot and you change
- 14:29Speaker 3: your roster and you still get the position that you wanted.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Receiver. I love it. I'll trade back further. Take that twelve,
- 14:38Speaker 4: Please make back to twenty. Please make it trade to twelve,
- 14:41Speaker 4: then trade that twelve to twenty, trade that twenty back
- 14:45Speaker 4: to twenty five.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Well you'd be stacked. What do you, Bill Belichick?
- 14:48Speaker 3: Yeah, keep trading back.
- 14:50Speaker 2: They won a few they have to go.
- 14:54Speaker 8: Well, Tyler, shuck, shuck if you buck, you can hearing
- 15:00Speaker 8: to Tom Brady, wo yep, sure did said better. I
- 15:05Speaker 8: bring in Hunter Renfro.
- 15:08Speaker 2: There's your West.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Well, there you go. We just did it right. I
- 15:11Speaker 3: like Hunter Renfro a lot, I really do.
- 15:14Speaker 4: But there's clear is that clear and obvious comparison, Jake.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yeah, they're tiny and white.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yep, that's about it.
- 15:27Speaker 6: But look, you can get it for league minimum. I
- 15:30Speaker 6: mean you could, I mean why not. It was just
- 15:37Speaker 6: a little weird that he never does with anybody's.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Better than Tipton. Well, yeah, who's the fourth receiver, Mason.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I get talked about every training camp Tipton.
- 15:51Speaker 5: M Yeah. And then during the season.
- 15:55Speaker 3: There was one point I banned t Bob from Sayd's name, and.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I will say, it's training camp.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Start you go to the.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Free agent don't.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Let's just put like to put a bow on this
- 16:05Speaker 4: conversation about free agent wide receivers. We talked about this
- 16:07Speaker 4: a couple of weeks ago about how like forever New
- 16:11Speaker 4: Orleans Saints, you ain't getting anybody good in free agency
- 16:15Speaker 4: because nobody wants to come play for the Saints when
- 16:17Speaker 4: it's not going well. Nobody wants to come in the
- 16:20Speaker 4: post Drew Breeze era, and with with not really knowing
- 16:24Speaker 4: who the coach is played for, Dennis out like it's
- 16:26Speaker 4: not a it was not a desirable destination. Well, now
- 16:30Speaker 4: you can make an argument that it is desirable for
- 16:32Speaker 4: certain positions, and yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Wide receiver.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I believe should be one of them because of what
- 16:39Speaker 4: Tyler Shuck has done.
- 16:40Speaker 3: And you have a young.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Head coach, very offensive mind, very offensive mind going to
- 16:44Speaker 4: his second year, has proven to be successful and have
- 16:47Speaker 4: successful receivers and quarterbacks and offenses wherever he's been. So like,
- 16:53Speaker 4: I think that you do, like for the first time
- 16:55Speaker 4: probably in a while, you have a desirable location. Like
- 16:59Speaker 4: and I don't mean that as a like I'm not
- 17:02Speaker 4: trying to take a knock on the anything with the organization,
- 17:06Speaker 4: but like it's not ever a free agent lane, like
- 17:09Speaker 4: you're like, oh, yeah, I'm dying to go there.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Like it's not.
- 17:12Speaker 4: It's just not And I hate to say that, and
- 17:13Speaker 4: if you didn't know that, I'm sorry, but like free
- 17:16Speaker 4: agents aren't like, oh.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, New Orleans, That's where I want to go. No,
- 17:19Speaker 2: that's not how it usually is.
- 17:22Speaker 4: But I think right now you can make the argument
- 17:24Speaker 4: that it is it is starting could be, for at
- 17:26Speaker 4: least certain positions, a desirable location.
- 17:28Speaker 3: It was I think it was when Sean Payton and
- 17:30Speaker 3: Drew Brees were rolling. Yeah, certain costs of living and
- 17:34Speaker 3: the passion of the fan like all that did play
- 17:35Speaker 3: into it. I mean, I had teammates that went from
- 17:39Speaker 3: Sprosey when he went from US to New Orleans, like
- 17:42Speaker 3: that was a lot. And then it went away in
- 17:44Speaker 3: a big way because of Dennis Allen and the way
- 17:47Speaker 3: the franchise was going, and it just didn't look very
- 17:50Speaker 3: fun no way for the New Orleans.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I mean, Drew Buries just got into the Hall of Fame.
- 17:54Speaker 4: So's it's been five years, so like it's half a decade.
- 17:58Speaker 4: That's how numbers work.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Got it.

- 19:18Speaker 7: Slip inside the eye of your mind.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Don't you know your mind? Fine, I've had a place
- 19:27Speaker 3: to play. You said that you will never be, but
- 19:34Speaker 3: all the things that you've seen.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Slow the flag the way we'll show start a revolution
- 19:44Speaker 5: from back because you said and runs. I haven't one.
- 19:53Speaker 7: Step outside.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Summer size.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Two thousand seven, Champs purple and gold to the core.
- 20:03Speaker 1: This is off the bench with Hester and Flynn. Baton
- 20:06Speaker 1: Rouge is go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Kyte. Can you zoom in like on like on this shot?
- 20:19Speaker 3: Like if I you if I know if I point
- 20:21Speaker 3: my hand somewhere, could you zoom in on it?
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, zoom in on my hand please? Yeah?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Right there.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Have you ever seen a cough button that if you
- 20:33Speaker 3: truly coughed on it, that might be the last step?
- 20:39Speaker 4: It might Actually, this is actually when my microphone is
- 20:41Speaker 4: plugged in, and I told him Matt before the show,
- 20:44Speaker 4: is like, don't don't touch it.
- 20:45Speaker 2: If I microphone is literally plugged into that.
- 20:48Speaker 4: So this cough button, I see, if it works, push it?
- 20:52Speaker 3: Okay, that works.
- 20:53Speaker 4: So we push this button if we have to cough
- 20:58Speaker 4: or make any other noises, like when I take a
- 21:00Speaker 4: big sip of coffee. Button And usually it's just a
- 21:03Speaker 4: nice little click. Now, I guess it's a two handed thing.
- 21:05Speaker 4: I gotta hold this, make sure I don't electricute my
- 21:08Speaker 4: left hand.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I'll push the other way.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Well, I don't.
- 21:11Speaker 7: Think you'd electrocute yourself. But well, I mean yeah, I
- 21:15Speaker 7: think you're fine.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Jake, hold up your look, mister Heusters isn't much better?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Oh look it's yeah, don't pick it up.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Look.
- 21:24Speaker 6: The only reason Jakes is together is because no one
- 21:26Speaker 6: touches that one. That one true, That one's messed up.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Too cool good.
- 21:32Speaker 4: More guys, there are these buttons that are built in
- 21:35Speaker 4: I learned yesterday.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Probably did at the drywall.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Though, push one.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And I'm curiously I have heard that again this could
- 21:45Speaker 3: have been our old engineer just saying it. So we
- 21:47Speaker 3: didn't just sit up here and like hit the button.
- 21:50Speaker 7: Because you know, I can put his back on real
- 21:53Speaker 7: quick here, let me get it right, I can put
- 21:54Speaker 7: his back on.
- 21:56Speaker 3: It's like a bad situation. That's what I was told.
- 21:58Speaker 2: There's no way do it last segment.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I think like at nine fifty three, we'll do it.
- 22:03Speaker 2: So we are going to.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Push get us on air in one second, right, I know, I.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Know, but this might be if it wasn't for like
- 22:10Speaker 3: our sponsors that I know I got to tell our
- 22:13Speaker 3: great listeners about, I would hit it.
- 22:16Speaker 4: And if we weren't on air, hey, this might be
- 22:18Speaker 4: the greatest of all time. Like there's a big red
- 22:21Speaker 4: button right here that could explode the studio. Actually, I
- 22:24Speaker 4: think like the we're gonna.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Push so this right here.
- 22:28Speaker 4: So we're going to push this, yeah, and the last
- 22:32Speaker 4: minute of the show, and we're gonna see what happens.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Because we've heard bad things.
- 22:35Speaker 2: We've heard bad things will happen. We've heard bad things though,
- 22:39Speaker 2: rum I don't I don't know if anything will happen.
- 22:42Speaker 5: I don't think any.
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, because I've never pushed stay tuned to find out.
- 22:47Speaker 3: It could be a boat behind the door, you know,
- 22:51Speaker 3: it could be.
- 22:51Speaker 4: A nuke, could even be Michael Parsons. Michael, we're gonna
- 22:57Speaker 4: trade May Parsons for a first round pick. Who knows
- 23:00Speaker 4: we could even get at Michael Parson's that first ye
- 23:01Speaker 4: That dude, dude the other day struck a nerve with me.
- 23:04Speaker 4: It was about two weeks ago. You started talking to
- 23:06Speaker 4: you freaking Jerry. Come on, He's like, jeer bear.
- 23:10Speaker 6: He's like, well, you know we got Kitty Clark and
- 23:12Speaker 6: we got all these other guys on defense.
- 23:14Speaker 2: He's like, really, we're a pass rusher away. It was like, Jerry,
- 23:19Speaker 2: you had a top three pass rusher, buddy. Yeah, I
- 23:23Speaker 2: will give Jerry some credit.
- 23:25Speaker 3: They were what thirty six million dollars over the cap,
- 23:28Speaker 3: and now they have nine million to spend just by
- 23:31Speaker 3: making three moves, including Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Also helps the NFL raises the salary cap by like
- 23:38Speaker 4: thirty million this year.
- 23:39Speaker 2: That helps.
- 23:40Speaker 3: That helped, but also to clear forty million dollars and
- 23:43Speaker 3: three moves is pretty impressive when you got deep pockets
- 23:46Speaker 3: and you just guarantee it and you just just a
- 23:48Speaker 3: flick of the.
- 23:49Speaker 2: In signing bonus. Yeah, guaranteed money.
- 23:52Speaker 3: I'll take one of those, but I'll make two million
- 23:54Speaker 3: base salary if you give me that thirty million dollars's.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Right, sure, Hey guarantee. We're trying to make some with
- 24:00Speaker 4: the salary cap right now.
- 24:05Speaker 3: The teams that are over the salary cap the Miami
- 24:08Speaker 3: Dolphins at one point six over the Colts four point seven,
- 24:11Speaker 3: the Packers at five, the Lions at six point five,
- 24:14Speaker 3: the Bears at seven point four, the Texans at seven
- 24:17Speaker 3: point nine, the Bills at eight point two, the Saints
- 24:20Speaker 3: at eleven point six, the Jaguiles at sixteen point nine,
- 24:24Speaker 3: the Browns at seventeen point one, and the Vikings.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Forty six point six. They reel over. Does that even
- 24:34Speaker 2: mean anything? Now?
- 24:36Speaker 3: I mean no, you can get I mean you can
- 24:37Speaker 3: get under, but you gotta be creative, like you gotta
- 24:39Speaker 3: make it happen.
- 24:40Speaker 2: It matters in like big free agents.
- 24:42Speaker 4: That's some kind at GM at least just ask chat
- 24:44Speaker 4: GPT these days, Like what I need to do with
- 24:46Speaker 4: my roster.
- 24:47Speaker 3: You can get under, but I think it does handcuff
- 24:49Speaker 3: you from signing like Mark he free agents and a
- 24:51Speaker 3: bunch of them. Like if I'm the Browns and I
- 24:53Speaker 3: suck and I'm seventeen over the cap, I don't love that.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I mean, the Vikings have a good roster, so they
- 24:59Speaker 3: can get creative and how they move some of their
- 25:03Speaker 3: money around. And He'll be okay because the roster is
- 25:05Speaker 3: still good. They'll have to get rid of some players,
- 25:07Speaker 3: but they still have enough good players to be able
- 25:09Speaker 3: to be competitive.
- 25:10Speaker 2: The Browns don't have that, certainly on offense. Bad Man.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Speaking of the Vikings, I know we've been really heavy
- 25:19Speaker 4: NFL talk today, but I know what about nine any?
- 25:25Speaker 2: Does he have any trade value?
- 25:26Speaker 3: Nine nine?
- 25:27Speaker 7: Uh?
- 25:28Speaker 3: JJ doesn't?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Nine nine? Yeah? Was that true? Is that a true report?
- 25:34Speaker 4: Because I saw the report earlier this week and maybe
- 25:36Speaker 4: wouldn't report, maybe just a post, but it was like
- 25:38Speaker 4: from an official source that said that.
- 25:41Speaker 2: They're moving on from JJ McCarthy. But what does that mean?
- 25:44Speaker 3: Really?
- 25:44Speaker 4: Like they're they're open to the idea of bringing somebody
- 25:46Speaker 4: else and to compete with him.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I think that's what it means. It's not his job.
- 25:51Speaker 4: He doesn't have the nobodies right, Like, he's got to
- 25:53Speaker 4: compete if he's gonna if it's gonna be his.
- 25:55Speaker 3: He's got to go win it.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 3: I mean there was even a report at the combine
- 25:59Speaker 3: that they were interested in Anthony Richardson. I remember that
- 26:03Speaker 3: that clip surfaced of KOC Kevin O'Connell talking to Anthony
- 26:07Speaker 3: Richardson afterwards the game that they played. It's like, Hey,
- 26:09Speaker 3: you're still gonna be a good player in this league,
- 26:10Speaker 3: keep your head up, You're incredibly talented, blah blah blah
- 26:12Speaker 3: blah blah, and so maybe he has an Infinity four
- 26:16Speaker 3: Anthony Richardson.
- 26:17Speaker 2: No way, Dan Campbell's not pushing that. I'm Dan Campbell.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I'm begging Kevin O'Connell to sign Anthony Richardson.
- 26:23Speaker 7: Uh.
- 26:23Speaker 2: The Rams hate draft picks.
- 26:24Speaker 6: We already talked about those bring and JJ McCarthy let
- 26:27Speaker 6: him learn it during Matt Stafford.
- 26:29Speaker 3: But Sean mcn they're going to take gary ness Smeyer
- 26:31Speaker 3: in the draft, Nowork they should?
- 26:33Speaker 2: The Rams are? They should? They are?
- 26:34Speaker 4: For four years, I've been comparing Dar's style of play
- 26:40Speaker 4: to the way that Stafford played in college. I'm not
- 26:43Speaker 4: comparing the two. I'm turned up the style of play.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I actually feel confident that that is a real likelihood.
- 26:50Speaker 2: They love him. It makes sense, That makes a lot
- 26:54Speaker 2: of sense. Yeah, they so good.
- 26:56Speaker 3: They also say never meet your heroes. Well, I met
- 26:58Speaker 3: Dan Campbell, love that guy. That guy was awesome.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Ever he got lucky, then he was right.
- 27:05Speaker 6: It could have been Anthony Mackie could.
- 27:09Speaker 3: And somebody wrote me on Instagram, let me see if
- 27:14Speaker 3: I can get this guy's I don't want to get
- 27:16Speaker 3: like the full name. Let me see if I can
- 27:17Speaker 3: get it here social shout out to Patrick, Oh, I
- 27:20Speaker 3: actually know that is He talked about meeting Anthony Mackie
- 27:25Speaker 3: in a New Orleans bar and told him how much
- 27:27Speaker 3: he loved Captain America and how much he like he
- 27:30Speaker 3: loved that Captain America was from Louisiana and loved how
- 27:34Speaker 3: Lsu got name dropped in the series and said it
- 27:37Speaker 3: was good interaction.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Well, he had a very normal interaction with Jordan's.
- 27:42Speaker 7: I don't know like what Jordan's tripping about.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I mean to like slander that man's name like Jordan
- 27:48Speaker 3: did before. The story is wild water.
- 27:52Speaker 7: To Anthony Mackie and say, you need to see this man.
- 27:55Speaker 7: He lives in a country club.
- 27:57Speaker 5: It's fine to me, he did.
- 27:58Speaker 2: He said, I'll okay, but it was Tuesday hour two.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Send it to me. I'm so Anthony.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Yeah, So why are you being We had a coworker
- 28:07Speaker 2: say this about you.
- 28:08Speaker 5: We all defended.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Why don't you why didn't you stay? Stay there for
- 28:11Speaker 2: the follow up question even though you didn't know there was.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Like people like around Jordan's circle here that like Anthony
- 28:20Speaker 3: Mackie is a bad person, and then that spreads, that spreads,
- 28:23Speaker 3: and it spreads right, And so that interaction that was
- 28:27Speaker 3: completely overblown and had no justification to it. Is how
- 28:33Speaker 3: things like that get out the.
- 28:35Speaker 5: Normal interaction that he had with him.
- 28:37Speaker 6: I was giving him a hard time during break after that,
- 28:40Speaker 6: and he's like, well I knew.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I knew he was going to go that way. People
- 28:42Speaker 2: in the bar told me he was a jerk. I
- 28:44Speaker 2: was like, okay, So you had.
- 28:45Speaker 6: A preconceived notion and you were looking for some reason
- 28:48Speaker 6: to confirm and you asked.
- 28:49Speaker 3: For a bad question.
- 28:51Speaker 2: You look like the Marvel movies.
- 28:56Speaker 5: Yeah, like what man.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Love to Marvel? Like like like what you did with him?
- 29:02Speaker 3: Oh man?
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Like this guy, like Patrick said, man, I love that
- 29:06Speaker 3: Captain Americas from Louisiana five beer.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I haven't sent to him.
- 29:10Speaker 7: Respect whatever Anthony Mackie Beer, what I do?
- 29:17Speaker 2: I go for this responsibly do it?
- 29:19Speaker 5: I would go for with Anthony.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Anthony McKey carried his team and crossover to so respect
- 29:24Speaker 6: to him for that.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Yeah, he lost the rat battle to be rabbit, he did,
- 29:29Speaker 3: but it's okay.
- 29:30Speaker 2: He was hooping though.
- 29:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I do feel like Anthony Mackie spends a decent
- 29:33Speaker 4: amount of time in New Orleans.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Bars. That's two stories true. The only two stories Bars.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Country pro right must be the boogie on the taco
- 29:48Speaker 6: bells around Overspoon Bar.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I really won't try to get Anthony mackey on
- 29:52Speaker 2: the ship. Jordan's on. We got to bring Jordans in
- 29:56Speaker 2: for that.
- 29:56Speaker 7: Yeah, studio, you're gonna kick me off.
- 30:00Speaker 2: For the good guests, We'll bring him in.
- 30:05Speaker 6: They do like the shame They do the explain this tweet.
- 30:10Speaker 6: We just play the audio clip a Jordan and be like, Jordan,
- 30:12Speaker 6: can you explain this please? We have Anthony Makey on
- 30:14Speaker 6: the phone.
- 30:16Speaker 7: Not even tell him that Anthony is on the phone,
- 30:21Speaker 7: play the tlip and be like, would you like to
- 30:24Speaker 7: explain this, and then bring Anthony Matt and be like, Anthony,
- 30:27Speaker 7: what do you think about this?
- 30:28Speaker 5: And bring Anthony Jordan.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Anthony has actually been listening in this entire time.
- 30:32Speaker 5: I like, I'm calling him Anthony, like we're on a
- 30:34Speaker 5: first name basis.
- 30:35Speaker 2: He goes by Tony for this close to him.
- 30:37Speaker 6: That's right, So we're gonna call him Tony May.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's so good. Get him in studio,
- 30:45Speaker 2: bring the shield. You don't live far from here.
- 30:49Speaker 7: The real person in New Orleans bars that I want
- 30:51Speaker 7: to hang out with this child above.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Mmm, I want a party with him.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Might not be there for a long time, but he's
- 30:57Speaker 3: there for a good time. Yeah, tell you that.
- 30:59Speaker 2: M mhm.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Strange fella. I was like, I wouldn't say strange, I'd
- 31:05Speaker 3: say interesting. Strange a negative way to put that, say
- 31:11Speaker 3: an interesting fella?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Mmm, okay, sure whatever, I think this means the same thing.
- 31:17Speaker 5: No, what's a nicer way to put it.
- 31:21Speaker 2: The name of the show is stranger things, not interesting things.
- 31:24Speaker 5: But it could be interesting.
- 31:26Speaker 4: It could be that's not the same thing. Such a
- 31:28Speaker 4: bad That's the first thing that popped in my head.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Strange.
- 31:32Speaker 2: It was a terrible argument.
- 31:33Speaker 4: I knew it in my head when I said it,
- 31:35Speaker 4: but i'd said it with conviction.
- 31:36Speaker 3: You did?
- 31:38Speaker 2: You said it with your Yeah you did. Would you
- 31:43Speaker 2: say full throated that what you call it? Fully throated endorsement? Yeah?

- 33:06Speaker 3: from the Raisin Kine Studio.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Off the Bench two thousand and seven, Champs Purple and
- 33:41Speaker 1: Gold to the Core. This is Off the Bench with
- 33:45Speaker 1: Hester and Flynn Baton, Rouge's go to for all things
- 33:48Speaker 1: Louisiana sports.
- 34:04Speaker 2: You're laughing at those people of the chat share with
- 34:09Speaker 2: the class.
- 34:11Speaker 4: No, No, I can't, I can't about radio. Hey, if
- 34:23Speaker 4: you're listening though out there tuned in, of course not
- 34:26Speaker 4: if you're driving. You're just sitting at the opposite at
- 34:28Speaker 4: the house. Join us on YouTube that checks out, come
- 34:34Speaker 4: interact with us. We see I'm not gonna say we
- 34:36Speaker 4: see all of the posts. You see most of them.
- 34:38Speaker 4: We see a lot of them. Wonder and ta, they
- 34:41Speaker 4: got a pretty good finger on the pulse of this thing.
- 34:44Speaker 4: I drift in and out.
- 34:49Speaker 5: That's just generally, Yeah, that's radio.
- 34:55Speaker 6: Feel like I drifted in and out of conversations and
- 34:57Speaker 6: the chat and the show.
- 34:58Speaker 2: And I don't drift in it out. Hydration though it
- 35:01Speaker 2: drinks drinking my head.
- 35:02Speaker 5: I come so Rivers sent me this sweet.
- 35:05Speaker 7: I think I found out why it's coming to me
- 35:09Speaker 7: now why LSU baseball is dropping these games. People were
- 35:14Speaker 7: saying that they'll sacrifice the baseball season to higher Lane Kiffin.
- 35:19Speaker 7: Remember I do remember when the hiring cycle was happening.
- 35:24Speaker 7: This this is on everybody that said that they were
- 35:27Speaker 7: going to sacrifice baseball season.
- 35:32Speaker 5: And Lane keivin better win.
- 35:33Speaker 7: If this is true, we were still early in the season.
- 35:36Speaker 7: So we'll see what ends up happening. If we sacrifice
- 35:40Speaker 7: the baseball season for Lane Kiffin and he doesn't make
- 35:43Speaker 7: the college football Playoff. I am rioting because LSU baseball
- 35:46Speaker 7: is everything to me, and I know football is everything
- 35:49Speaker 7: to most people. But if we sacrificed for Lane, he
- 35:54Speaker 7: doesn't make the college football Playoff.
- 35:57Speaker 6: Okay, now, obviously this is hyperbole, but just this season,
- 36:01Speaker 6: right as far as the sacrifice.
- 36:04Speaker 5: This tweet that I was since says this season.
- 36:07Speaker 6: Yea, okay, Well, I mean even if LA doesn't win
- 36:10Speaker 6: year one, if Lane eventually wins and baseball just keeps
- 36:13Speaker 6: going good after this season, it's worth it.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 4: As fans, we deal in a lot of hyperboles, right,
- 36:20Speaker 4: we say so many emotional things, Like I think even
- 36:22Speaker 4: last year during the run, it's like, man, if we
- 36:24Speaker 4: could win a national championship, sacrifice, We'll sacrifice next year
- 36:30Speaker 4: season whatever, like win now situation. And we looked at
- 36:32Speaker 4: it like in twenty nineteen we won the national championship. Well,
- 36:35Speaker 4: the next year was bad, but it's like that's okay,
- 36:38Speaker 4: we sacrifice this year because we won last year. Yeah,
- 36:41Speaker 4: we're talking a lot of hyperboles, but when it comes
- 36:43Speaker 4: down to it, we don't really mean it.
- 36:44Speaker 7: Again, like during the Arkansas game, Yeah, I was like, bro,
- 36:48Speaker 7: I will sacrifice the football season, does Arkansas win?
- 36:53Speaker 3: And there you go.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Let me, what goes around comes around.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Let's what Justin said.
- 36:58Speaker 2: How much would we have to sacrifice for basketball to
- 37:00Speaker 2: be good?
- 37:03Speaker 5: We would have to sacrifice.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Of every sport? Oh boy, there's nothing. All right?
- 37:14Speaker 4: So last week we baseball loses McNeese, Okay, cool, mid
- 37:18Speaker 4: week whatever. This week we'll win three games in a row,
- 37:22Speaker 4: but don't hit well Pitcheon's good. But then lose the Northeastern. Okay, fine,
- 37:26Speaker 4: it was a fo Monday.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Yeah, whatever, you had just beat them.
- 37:30Speaker 4: It's fine, Like we get it, take the day, take
- 37:33Speaker 4: the night off kids. Oh well, last night lose the Lafayette.
- 37:39Speaker 4: That's three of the last six. How do we feeling?
- 37:43Speaker 4: How we feeling out?
- 37:44Speaker 2: Still? Man? Still whatever? To get it? Rid?
- 37:48Speaker 5: I do too.
- 37:49Speaker 7: And also we were kind of talking about this a
- 37:51Speaker 7: little bit before the show, how like it really is
- 37:54Speaker 7: just the mid weeks, like they're still winning on the weekends,
- 37:58Speaker 7: and it goes to like the bullpen can't find a
- 38:03Speaker 7: we were talking about this, can't really find a midweek
- 38:05Speaker 7: starter that's gonna.
- 38:08Speaker 6: Get you where you need to be, right, you started,
- 38:09Speaker 6: Gavin Gidrey last night, that's your best midweek.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Reliever, I mean no weekend reliever.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's a different mindset. I mean we've seen
- 38:18Speaker 3: that all the time. Think about the most elite closers
- 38:20Speaker 3: in Major League Baseball. Look come in the eighth inning
- 38:22Speaker 3: and just suck. Yeah, it's like what changed. It's like
- 38:25Speaker 3: that guy's a ninth inning guy. It's like it happens
- 38:28Speaker 3: all the time. So I was surprised to see Gavin
- 38:31Speaker 3: Gidrick get the start there. Maybe you're seeing me. I
- 38:34Speaker 3: mean he was pitching so well. His pitch hadn't given
- 38:36Speaker 3: up a walk in nine innings, hadn't given up a run.
- 38:39Speaker 3: So you're like, hey, that to say that this guy
- 38:42Speaker 3: has to be in that role to see what he
- 38:43Speaker 3: has and but it goes as well for him.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Obviously.
- 38:46Speaker 6: You could see the fan reaction like it was on
- 38:48Speaker 6: Twitter last night. You've seen it in the chat and
- 38:50Speaker 6: every show. It's like people want to freak out, but
- 38:54Speaker 6: I think they don't want to be proven wrong again
- 38:56Speaker 6: by Jay Johnson. You could feel it right like they
- 38:58Speaker 6: didn't want to freak out bad, but they're not doing
- 39:00Speaker 6: it yet.
- 39:01Speaker 4: What's interesting is like I brought up the question and
- 39:03Speaker 4: y'all just kept going to well, it's the midweek pitching.
- 39:05Speaker 4: It's the midwek pitching well, patting to ten no last
- 39:10Speaker 4: six games, So it's not the pitching. I'm like, it's
- 39:12Speaker 4: were seven they scored three in the first inning yesterday,
- 39:14Speaker 4: then you give it for the rest of the game.
- 39:17Speaker 4: It's not an insurmountable amount of runs to overcome if
- 39:20Speaker 4: you're getting close to touching the ball. Like it wasn't
- 39:23Speaker 4: eleven strikeouts. I think we had we sun got eleven
- 39:25Speaker 4: times last night.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Even the Northeastern game.
- 39:28Speaker 6: We were talking about it the other day, Like if
- 39:29Speaker 6: you didn't watch the Northeastern game, you're like, oh, they
- 39:32Speaker 6: lost thirteen to ten. You know they hit a home
- 39:34Speaker 6: run later whatever, it was eleven to one in the
- 39:36Speaker 6: fifth inning of that game. You didn't hit in that
- 39:39Speaker 6: game until the very end.
- 39:40Speaker 7: So because you had asked me to look at the
- 39:42Speaker 7: last six games, right, So all these numbers are from
- 39:44Speaker 7: the last six games aside for like Northeastern really was
- 39:47Speaker 7: the outlier. You gave up thirteen runs in that game,
- 39:50Speaker 7: but aside from that, the other five games you allowed
- 39:54Speaker 7: seventeen runs. Right, So like on average three and a
- 39:58Speaker 7: half runs per game, Right, that's pretty strong pitching. If
- 40:02Speaker 7: you like, if you're so to your point, if your
- 40:06Speaker 7: offense is backing you up, that is good pitching that
- 40:09Speaker 7: you can. But it does fall off in the midweek
- 40:11Speaker 7: where you kind of dig yourself into a hole that
- 40:14Speaker 7: when your offense is cold, you can't dig.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Yourself out of it.
- 40:17Speaker 7: Yeah, but you're getting like ten strikeouts a game, like
- 40:21Speaker 7: had ten versus Northeastern William Schmidt had nine versus Dartmouth.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Dartmouth, Dartmouth, Dartmouth.
- 40:27Speaker 4: Yeah, Kate and says Dartmouth Maverick Rizzley came in yesterday
- 40:31Speaker 4: and was throwing fantastic.
- 40:33Speaker 2: He gave up four, he gave up, he gave up
- 40:35Speaker 2: a run.
- 40:35Speaker 4: But like he he had he had some sort of
- 40:37Speaker 4: yet he kept throwing it in a while, but like
- 40:39Speaker 4: it's something you get cleaned up control.
- 40:41Speaker 2: It wasn't like they could. It wasn't like they were
- 40:43Speaker 2: teen off. I thought.
- 40:44Speaker 4: I thought he pitched really well. I thought he was,
- 40:45Speaker 4: I mean even nominated on the mat, except for the
- 40:47Speaker 4: wild Like this one pitch he just couldn't get right.
- 40:49Speaker 4: He kept throwing it.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Like jab was saying, he had four strikeouts. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:53Speaker 2: ain'ting in a third right, four strikeouts.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Something like that, but and he gave up a run,
- 40:57Speaker 4: which is one of the seven rounds, like just because
- 40:59Speaker 4: of one pitch and ConTroll it just I think three.
- 41:02Speaker 4: I thought I saw at least three or four wild
- 41:04Speaker 4: pitches that went to the same spot like way low
- 41:06Speaker 4: and left.
- 41:07Speaker 7: Yeah, I like that batting average with the ball and
- 41:11Speaker 7: play stat I feel like that tells a bigger story
- 41:14Speaker 7: than what everything else does.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And again, we'll hope at some point today to catch
- 41:19Speaker 3: up with LSU head baseball coach Jay Johnson. We'll go
- 41:22Speaker 3: ahead and take a break before we do, I want
- 41:24Speaker 3: to remind you ab our friends over at Oshinar Health.

- 43:20Speaker 6: did they even.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Know, but like it.
- 43:21Speaker 3: We had one in San Francisco when we first got
- 43:23Speaker 3: there for the Super Bowl. Nobody even knew about it.
- 43:25Speaker 3: It's probably normal practice there. But yeah, I hope everybody's okay.
- 43:29Speaker 3: The reports are a four point four. You are out

- 43:53Speaker 2: That was also noe. No thanks. Well, hey, can we
- 43:59Speaker 2: get some confrom in the chat?
- 44:01Speaker 3: Was there really a four point four south of Streetport
- 44:04Speaker 3: around five point thirty this morning?
- 44:11Speaker 7: A quick Google search tells me that there was oohoo
- 44:15Speaker 7: four forty nine.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Oh man, that's actually big for here, isn't it? Yeah?
- 44:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 44:20Speaker 2: Anywhere? Yeh earth questquake.
