- 1:15Speaker 5: but I'm glad to be back. I was getting a
- 1:18Speaker 5: little stir crazy. How many official days has it been?
- 1:22Speaker 5: It's been ten days. Today's today's the eleventh days since
- 1:26Speaker 5: since we had old uh razors you got or don't
- 1:30Speaker 5: don't do that, don't mean his name, birth certificate, doesn't
- 1:35Speaker 5: say that, so.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Mbat your dragon either. I think the good point.
- 1:42Speaker 5: I think they said I have nine weeks to change.
- 1:44Speaker 5: It's like we could change it. I mean, you got
- 1:48Speaker 5: his whole life to change it. He can do it
- 1:50Speaker 5: at least. Still, he's like, get your social But I know.
- 1:54Speaker 4: That we have.
- 1:55Speaker 3: We've spoke on the group text, the foxhole has been
- 1:58Speaker 3: in communication the entire time, but I think it's the
- 2:01Speaker 3: first time we've got to say it in person. I'm
- 2:05Speaker 3: sure the chat's gonna lie up as well. Congratulations. That
- 2:09Speaker 3: is awesome, very happy for you and you and Victoria.
- 2:13Speaker 3: So it's very very exciting. Man, It's it's been How
- 2:16Speaker 3: has the the new dad situation?
- 2:19Speaker 4: Ben? Is it everything you expected? Did you do? You
- 2:22Speaker 4: feel like you did enough and all the prep work necessary.
- 2:25Speaker 5: You know, we were talking a little bit before the show,
- 2:26Speaker 5: was like, nothing unexpected has happened. That doesn't mean it's
- 2:30Speaker 5: been easy. It's just like her sister just had three
- 2:33Speaker 5: kids a few years ago. Like we we've had a
- 2:35Speaker 5: ton of help. I mean, my mom, her mom both
- 2:37Speaker 5: lived within ten minutes of us. Our sister was in town,
- 2:40Speaker 5: so you know, we we had people helping us out
- 2:42Speaker 5: and kind of kind of getting into it, but nothing
- 2:44Speaker 5: that I didn't expect. But yeah, it's been hard. I
- 2:47Speaker 5: mean there's been there's been good nights and bad nights.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Last night a good night, luckily because I had to
- 2:52Speaker 5: get up a little early night before bad night.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Yep. So it's just kind of hidden miss Okay.
- 2:57Speaker 6: Well it's uh it's like he doesn't sleep or yeah,
- 3:01Speaker 6: just like he just gets fussy where it's like I
- 3:04Speaker 6: know he's tired, but he'll go to sleep for like
- 3:07Speaker 6: ten minutes to wake himself off and then cry.
- 3:09Speaker 5: I'm like, look, man, chill out, go to sleep a
- 3:12Speaker 5: couple of hours. Last night we were in bed by
- 3:14Speaker 5: like eight o'clock. We just sat there, let him sleep
- 3:18Speaker 5: in his little bedside.
- 3:19Speaker 4: What's that? What's the longest stretch he's gone so far?
- 3:22Speaker 5: Last night he need five hours over ride, so we
- 3:27Speaker 5: she's supposed to feed him every supposed to feed him
- 3:29Speaker 5: every three hours. Yeah, by yesterday he didn't sleep at all.
- 3:32Speaker 5: And it's about seven thirty. Victories like, I'm getting in bed.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Everything's done. I was like, cool, I will do. So
- 3:37Speaker 5: we sat there and watched TV and about eight thirty
- 3:40Speaker 5: rolled around. She was like, I got to wake him up,
- 3:41Speaker 5: it's been three hours. I was like, you know what,
- 3:43Speaker 5: let him wake up on his own. He hadn't getting slept.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Good move.
- 3:46Speaker 5: We woke up at like ten pm and then she
- 3:49Speaker 5: had I was like, it's been five hours. So it
- 3:51Speaker 5: was it was a good stretch last night.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I never understood wake the baby to feed him. I'm like, yeah,
- 3:57Speaker 3: baby's sleep and let him sleep. Yeah, let that baby go.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Well.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Congratulations. If you need an advice, there's two guys up
- 4:04Speaker 3: here that have actually won the award best dad in
- 4:08Speaker 3: the World, according to coffee mugs, according to t shirts,
- 4:11Speaker 3: and according to cards that I've been giving.
- 4:13Speaker 5: The hell, dude, I'm talking to the experts here.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yep. I had no idea. It's a baby's sleep.
- 4:19Speaker 3: It's kind of like that coffee shop in the movie
- 4:21Speaker 3: Elf where it says best coffee in the world.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Oh, congratulations, guys, you did it. You did it. That's us,
- 4:29Speaker 4: that's Richard and up here.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I guess we won that of the Year award different
- 4:32Speaker 3: years because I got it and you got it.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true. You can't both get it.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Say so, I got an eleven year old, an eight
- 4:39Speaker 3: year old, and a three year old got it all
- 4:41Speaker 3: the other years. Yeah, exactly. So we covered six years
- 4:46Speaker 3: and first baby. Everything it seems gonna seem like a
- 4:49Speaker 3: big deal.
- 4:50Speaker 5: And that's okay, get the baby three Yeah, you just
- 4:54Speaker 5: like I eat that old piece of.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I told you. Yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 5: We were only at the hospital thirty six hours. Everything
- 5:00Speaker 5: went about as perfect as it could And Wednesday even
- 5:03Speaker 5: they came in they're like, hey, we could let you
- 5:05Speaker 5: guys go. You can stay another night if you want,
- 5:09Speaker 5: And I was like, I want to get the hell
- 5:10Speaker 5: out of here. My bed's way more comfortable than this
- 5:13Speaker 5: hospital couch. We went home awful night, like all of
- 5:19Speaker 5: a sudden, wasn't eating. Had to feed him with a
- 5:22Speaker 5: syringe a bunch of times, and like Victoria's like, we
- 5:26Speaker 5: made a mistake. We should have we should have stayed.
- 5:28Speaker 5: That was the worse night after that, it was it
- 5:30Speaker 5: was I'm gonna blame myself a little bit on that one.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Uh and everybody else that has had a baby, that's
- 5:37Speaker 3: been around you, because people ask for advice, maybe they
- 5:40Speaker 3: don't ask for but you try to give him at
- 5:42Speaker 3: least the most wise advice that's not obvious. And that
- 5:45Speaker 3: is one thing that somebody told us before we had
- 5:47Speaker 3: our first was like, stay as long as they will
- 5:50Speaker 3: let you make them kick you out of that room,
- 5:52Speaker 3: because as soon as you, like, as soon as you go,
- 5:55Speaker 3: something's gonna happen. You're gonna have a question. Because I'm
- 5:58Speaker 3: sure we were just as y'all probably were. I'm sure
- 6:02Speaker 3: y'all were. Like that night, you're on the phone with
- 6:05Speaker 3: Women's They have that. They got the line that has
- 6:09Speaker 3: like all the different people you call, like the.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Latination and call because the baby wouldn't he eat. She
- 6:14Speaker 5: did that at like three am. No, But I was
- 6:17Speaker 5: telling somebody this the other day, Like the whole process
- 6:20Speaker 5: went so quick. I mean I texted you guys, was like, hey,
- 6:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna be there tomorrow. In a turn of events,
- 6:25Speaker 5: like we're having it today. And you know, we had
- 6:27Speaker 5: been up for like twenty four hours. Everything had happened,
- 6:29Speaker 5: and then the nurses had been with us the entire time.
- 6:33Speaker 5: All of a sudden, they move Victoria to like the
- 6:35Speaker 5: they call it the mother baby room whatever, like the
- 6:38Speaker 5: after birthroom, and they.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Just walk out. Me Victoria looked at each other.
- 6:43Speaker 5: We're like where they go, Like, there's no those nurses
- 6:46Speaker 5: are part of our family. They're living with us. Now
- 6:48Speaker 5: you can't leave us alone.
- 6:49Speaker 3: That was the.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Scariest part, Like first time. We're like, okay, we have
- 6:52Speaker 5: to watch it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty scary being a parent for the first time,
- 6:58Speaker 3: very scary, very exciting. So I'm actually but like, where
- 7:03Speaker 3: where is it? Why didn't you bring him sleep?
- 7:06Speaker 4: Victory told me no, couldn't make him up. Why I
- 7:09Speaker 4: don't know? His place is a prison?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Oh congratulations, I'm playing a bull bull spit.
- 7:21Speaker 4: H Well, congratulations. We're excited.
- 7:29Speaker 5: One more time, baby though, bring the baby. Malone my
- 7:34Speaker 5: middle name. Don't love it, but it's a family name,
- 7:37Speaker 5: and we were like we couldn't think of a middle name.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I was like, you know what, if I gotta suffer
- 7:40Speaker 5: through it, he's going to as well. So Griffin Malone, my.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Pain is your pain. Kid.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Family tradition, family tradition. We all hate our middle names.
- 7:50Speaker 3: We love it. That's what it means.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Would be a sharp man, trud sharp man. That sounds weird. Well,
- 8:00Speaker 4: good morning, Richard, Hey buddy, you doing Thanks for stepping
- 8:02Speaker 4: in today, No problem. I know you were like ready
- 8:06Speaker 4: you had some strong sports takes.
- 8:09Speaker 3: All this crazy sports stuff happening right now, all these
- 8:12Speaker 3: games being played. What sports are going on right now.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I saw I saw a cool clip of Odell and
- 8:17Speaker 3: uh Malik catching balls together. Yeah, and I thought that
- 8:21Speaker 3: was like pretty cool to see where Odell started in
- 8:23Speaker 3: New York. He's back in New York. You told me to, asked, Taylor,
- 8:25Speaker 3: because you didn't know O'Dell played last year. No, no, kay,
- 8:29Speaker 3: we were right, Yeah, more confident.
- 8:32Speaker 5: He was with the Ravens last.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Two years ago.
- 8:35Speaker 7: Yeah, it's been a minute.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I was trying to remember. I knew he had like
- 8:38Speaker 3: played a half a season somewhere, Yeah, but I didn't
- 8:41Speaker 3: remember playing anywhere last year.
- 8:43Speaker 4: The last time I saw Adell.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Sorry, Dolphins twenty four played had nine catches.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Know that off the top of your head, Taylor, Yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 4: Richard Ravens was twenty.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Three and twenty Well, I guess it'd be twenty five,
- 8:59Speaker 3: the year we beat Ole Miss at home.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Yeah was that two seasons ago?
- 9:05Speaker 5: Yes, that was twenty four seasons a twenty four. I
- 9:08Speaker 5: guess he was playing with the Dolphins, as you said,
- 9:10Speaker 5: But he was at the game.
- 9:12Speaker 4: We're up in the I can't remember which sweet it was.
- 9:17Speaker 3: So it was a sweet where all the players former
- 9:19Speaker 3: players can go Oak Club, Yes, ELK Club. Sweet we
- 9:22Speaker 3: were up there, and I was up there with the family.
- 9:24Speaker 3: So I think I was a guest captain of that game,
- 9:25Speaker 3: and so I had a whole fam and I would
- 9:28Speaker 3: say at least two of the four quarters. Himmy my
- 9:32Speaker 3: youngest who is now six, who's fourth time she sat
- 9:36Speaker 3: by Odell and they took selfies for it no less
- 9:39Speaker 3: than an hour. And so I get home and my
- 9:42Speaker 3: phone is filled with like a hundred selfies with himmy
- 9:47Speaker 3: and Odell, and O'Dell was also taken a lot with
- 9:50Speaker 3: his own camera as well. So they they were basically
- 9:53Speaker 3: best friends. She still talks about it today. It's pretty sweet. Yeah,
- 9:57Speaker 3: it was awesome. It was great.
- 9:58Speaker 7: They remember when me and obj oh is that my buddy?
- 10:02Speaker 4: Is that my friend?
- 10:04Speaker 7: We were hanging out that one time.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Sees that that was the night that Huck was also
- 10:12Speaker 3: had just learned about the Gritty pretty recently and flag football.
- 10:17Speaker 3: They were doing it as kids. They were seven or eight,
- 10:20Speaker 3: and Justin Jefferson was there.
- 10:22Speaker 4: And he was that's the gritty guy, that's him. Are
- 10:29Speaker 4: you serious? I was like, let's go talk to him.
- 10:31Speaker 5: No, creator, not not the gritty creator, not a shot dad.
- 10:38Speaker 4: The gritty took over all the flag football for a while,
- 10:40Speaker 4: well for sure, and it's still there a little bit.
- 10:43Speaker 3: You still see it a little bit now with the
- 10:47Speaker 3: tackle football they came up. They kind of took away
- 10:49Speaker 3: all the celebration stuff a little bit different, Like if
- 10:51Speaker 3: you committed yourself to it, how hard is the gritty
- 10:54Speaker 3: to do?
- 10:55Speaker 7: I feel like it's very hard to do it.
- 10:57Speaker 3: It was not like a lot of fancy footwork to it.
- 11:00Speaker 3: That just about the time.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Was it Adam Schefter the tour's knee doing it? Is
- 11:07Speaker 5: that what he did shafter tours?
- 11:11Speaker 4: Doing something dumb?
- 11:12Speaker 5: It was something like that though, God, yeah it was
- 11:16Speaker 5: mm hmm, that's like that's tickling a memory back.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Then it was. It was it was towards a c L.
- 11:24Speaker 5: He thought he at least thought he did was a
- 11:27Speaker 5: top toursniscuits not.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Is hard. Yeah, we had his weak stuff.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I wouldn't know what to do with my feet,
- 11:41Speaker 2: Like it looks like they're just hopping, but I don't
- 11:43Speaker 2: think that's.
- 11:43Speaker 3: What they're like running in place deal that you see, Yeah, like.
- 11:50Speaker 7: Thing like that's I have that.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I couldn't.
- 11:55Speaker 3: The whole floating thing walking ye float floot wall like
- 12:01Speaker 3: they will slow it down for me, and I'm like, yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 3: I get it. I see your feet moving, I see
- 12:05Speaker 3: you up on your toe. Then they do it full
- 12:07Speaker 3: speed and I'm like, no, you're literally floated, right.
- 12:10Speaker 5: I can't figure this out, walking on the air, walking
- 12:13Speaker 5: on their God, I can't even look at you right now.
- 12:17Speaker 3: It's crazy how things get like that, and it's like impossible.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I mean, you played in the NFL a long time.
- 12:23Speaker 3: It's really hard to do. More people can do that
- 12:25Speaker 3: dance than right. But if you can't figure it out,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I can't figure it out. Good Award anyway, gritty because
- 12:35Speaker 3: I see I do see people with the gritty. I
- 12:36Speaker 3: do see people what looks like they just hop on
- 12:39Speaker 3: one leg and the one back and forth and then
- 12:41Speaker 3: they do the hand thing.
- 12:42Speaker 7: The hand.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Where the gritty come from.
- 12:47Speaker 5: I mean, there's a guy in New Orleans who is
- 12:50Speaker 5: friends with Justin Jefferson, made a song, created the dance.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Jefferson ask them if he could use it. They've got
- 12:56Speaker 4: a whole thing on this. I mean Sports Center, did
- 12:58Speaker 4: this guy find a wait a monent?
- 13:00Speaker 3: As I imagine like Madden twenty five and Madden twenty six,
- 13:05Speaker 3: and it's on the game.
- 13:06Speaker 4: It's one of the dance moves.
- 13:07Speaker 7: There's probably a royalty.
- 13:10Speaker 4: A dance move.
- 13:11Speaker 7: Didn't they do that with the floss or whatever? Because
- 13:14Speaker 7: Fortnite that.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Was another one that probably took over a little League
- 13:17Speaker 5: FA football.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that one's still popping a little bit. You still say.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I was about to say, I haven't seen that.
- 13:23Speaker 3: My kids do it at home, so that means somebody,
- 13:28Speaker 3: I mean emo, Like, where'd.
- 13:30Speaker 4: That word come from?
- 13:31Speaker 7: From Fortnite?
- 13:32Speaker 3: So I was playing Fortnite with with the other day.
- 13:35Speaker 3: It's like, Dad, come emote with Yeah, I'm like, what
- 13:37Speaker 3: did you say?
- 13:38Speaker 4: What?
- 13:39Speaker 5: Let's emote bron I don't know that.
- 13:41Speaker 2: This is like whenever you do something like floss or whatever,
- 13:44Speaker 2: like whenever.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you push the up button, it brings up this
- 13:48Speaker 3: or up or down button at the menu of dancing.
- 13:51Speaker 2: But they use it in real life, like if you
- 13:52Speaker 2: make a sick play like sack somebody or whatever, and
- 13:55Speaker 2: then you do something over them, you're emoting over them.
- 13:58Speaker 3: That's the new one I see, Like when they cover
- 14:01Speaker 3: their mouth and then they go I don't know, okay, Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 3: so that has a name too, And he said it
- 14:08Speaker 3: the other day, how did okay? If you need to
- 14:11Speaker 3: know what those things are just ask if we need to.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Bring him in, we need to change the excessive celebration.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Just this is like started as stinky, so it.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Started like this way and now they start going like.
- 14:24Speaker 4: This, right, I've seen the baseball players do it after
- 14:26Speaker 4: a double.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah, huh what was that's?
- 14:31Speaker 5: Like?
- 14:31Speaker 2: Uh, honey, Jake's son he hit a double and then
- 14:35Speaker 2: he started doing push ups.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm pack Charlotte. Sharlotte and ask her what that
- 14:41Speaker 4: thing is. She knows, mm hmm. Yeah.
- 14:43Speaker 3: In the chat says, or a farming that's true. That's
- 14:46Speaker 3: another one, like what does that mean?
- 14:48Speaker 2: Or a farming means like that one's kind of I
- 14:51Speaker 2: feel like context clues. Like Agamemnon did it on the Odyssey.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Everybody was talking about it. He just like stormed through
- 14:58Speaker 2: the gates and he just had like a presence. I
- 15:01Speaker 2: think when you're a farming, you're just trying to come
- 15:03Speaker 2: off as you got riz like, yeah, I think aura is,
- 15:10Speaker 2: yeah it is.
- 15:11Speaker 5: But if you're or farming, like I'm trying to look cool. Yeah, okay,
- 15:16Speaker 5: got it. That's never but like you know, you know
- 15:18Speaker 5: what you're doing.
- 15:19Speaker 4: They didn't know.
- 15:20Speaker 5: They didn't do penalty in football fifteen yard penalty farming.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Fifteen yards.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Was the famous one. Fifteen yards giving them the business,
- 15:31Speaker 3: giving them the business. That's right, good one personal foul
- 15:35Speaker 3: giving them the business.
- 15:36Speaker 7: Oh yeah, that was funny.
- 15:38Speaker 4: How long ago was that? I mean that's been that's
- 15:41Speaker 4: been a.
- 15:41Speaker 5: Minu now, so it's probably fifteen years now.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Huh, yeah, that's that's been a while.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I mean that was like when it was pretty easy
- 15:48Speaker 3: to go viral at that point because there wasn't a
- 15:50Speaker 3: lot of viral content out there yet. Remember you remember
- 15:54Speaker 3: they there's no way they do. You remember Ebomb's World.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I remember hearing of it.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Remember I remember that very faint.
- 16:02Speaker 5: That was like the the video website when we were
- 16:07Speaker 5: in college.
- 16:08Speaker 3: So I'm gonna assume him around five four oh five.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I was like before I'm sure YouTube was there, so
- 16:15Speaker 3: I don't like you like people at home, No YouTube
- 16:18Speaker 3: is created in ninety eight, but like this was before
- 16:20Speaker 3: YouTube was like super popular and to get viral.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Funny videos, it was Ebomb's World. This is what it was.
- 16:26Speaker 3: And it was right right before like Funnier Die dot
- 16:28Speaker 3: com was released and they had like the like the
- 16:31Speaker 3: Aisha guy that sang the song Aisha.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Do you remember this the Nerd, The Nerd. I remember
- 16:39Speaker 4: there's another one used to go. You showed it to me.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I can't remember what it's called, and I don't want
- 16:43Speaker 3: to guess because it could be bad. I mean, that's
- 16:46Speaker 3: that's what this show's for. You just like start explaining
- 16:48Speaker 3: things that you have no idea what it is. It
- 16:50Speaker 3: doesn't make any sense. But then the Saturday Saturday, that's
- 16:53Speaker 3: what one of those why doest kids?
- 16:57Speaker 4: You know? Yep, the fantastic.
- 17:01Speaker 7: Taylor.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and then the other one would like never make
- 17:04Speaker 4: eye contact.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Anyway. It's only fun at us too. Sorry, go look
- 17:11Speaker 3: it up. All right, Okay, look, we got a long

- 17:27Speaker 3: We got a lot to get to. We got training camp.
- 17:30Speaker 3: We got unless you're reporting today for training camp means
- 17:33Speaker 3: practice tomorrow. So they're reporting today and getting getting uh
- 17:37Speaker 3: moved into their apartments. So it's we'll talk about your
- 17:41Speaker 3: memories from report day. Never great ones, but it's always
- 17:45Speaker 3: a very nervous day. But we'll get into that. We'll
- 17:49Speaker 3: get into Saints training camp. We'll go around the NFL.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Take a look at that.
- 17:52Speaker 5: We got Taylor back in studio Launea crushing the music
- 17:55Speaker 5: today and uh what what do you laugh at that?
- 17:58Speaker 4: Every time I say you laughing, well.
- 18:00Speaker 7: I don't know, because I I don't know.
- 18:02Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 18:03Speaker 7: It makes me feel awkward.

- 18:28Speaker 3: one hundred years, Richard, that's been yep, gotcha exactly. Gone
- 18:32Speaker 3: to be confused with the decade. It's been a century.
- 18:34Speaker 3: They've been doing doing business here in Louisiana for a
- 18:36Speaker 3: long long time. And just think about this. If you
- 18:39Speaker 3: are parking your money somewhere were we all work hard.
- 18:41Speaker 3: We all work hard for our money. And so if
- 18:45Speaker 3: you're gonna park yourn, if you're gonna do business with
- 18:47Speaker 3: a bank, make sure you can go into a local branch,

- 18:51Speaker 3: them make decisions based on what you're doing here in Louisiana.
- 18:54Speaker 3: So if you have a need a loan, if you
- 18:55Speaker 3: need a mortgage, if you need a He's walk, maybe

- 20:17Speaker 3: why a lot of people don't like Tuesdays. Well, Mondays suck,
- 20:21Speaker 3: So Tuesday is like your first fun day of the week.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I don't know, Like roder I would say, Tuesday get
- 20:27Speaker 3: for for our show, Tuesday gives off Friday vibes.
- 20:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know why.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I think it's because one day we were like, Tuesday suck. Yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and then we were like, that's the wrong attitude to have.
- 20:38Speaker 7: Re Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 2: So then we'd started doing eighties, but you wanted something
- 20:42Speaker 2: different today, so we're not doing that today. But that's okay,
- 20:44Speaker 2: Like it's not not commissioned.
- 20:45Speaker 7: So then we started doing eighties because we're like, this
- 20:47Speaker 7: is feel.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Good music, just feel good music. Where did you hear
- 20:50Speaker 4: that song that had you walk in?
- 20:52Speaker 3: I don't know. I heard it on a commercial or something.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Maybe I woke up with it when I, you know,
- 20:57Speaker 3: Ninja flipped out of bed this morning. I don't know,
- 21:01Speaker 3: do you There's times I just wake up and there's
- 21:03Speaker 3: random Yeah, yeah, that happens.
- 21:04Speaker 4: A lot with me.
- 21:05Speaker 7: That happens to me every morning.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's usually what dictates what I play.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yeah, Like Jacob says, I dream in cartoons too, so
- 21:12Speaker 3: there's no telling what was happening when I was dreaming
- 21:15Speaker 3: last night.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I never remember my dreams.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I feel like when I was little, you remember dreams, Yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 3: you would have vivid memory of them. I don't even
- 21:22Speaker 3: know if I dream anymore. Really, there's sometimes.
- 21:24Speaker 7: I wake up and I do just everybody dreams.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's like now I wake up, I just
- 21:28Speaker 4: don't remember.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I mean I probably only get like five to six
- 21:31Speaker 3: hours asleep usually, and I think enough time to.
- 21:35Speaker 2: If I take a melotonin, my dreams are insane and
- 21:40Speaker 2: I remember.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Them pretty much reality. Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 2: At that point, No, I I like, what do they
- 21:44Speaker 2: call astral projecting or whatever?
- 21:47Speaker 5: I feel like I do that that sounds like a
- 21:49Speaker 5: term and never heard it, but that sounds.
- 21:51Speaker 7: Right like inceptions.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Like when I I can't take melotonin because it's like
- 21:55Speaker 2: it's freaky too much, it's too much for me.
- 21:57Speaker 7: I stopped taking.
- 21:58Speaker 4: There's like there's nothing for me, there's too much twisted stuff.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Yes, No, truly, my subconsciousness comes out like I'm haunting.
- 22:06Speaker 3: You, your melotone. Nothing for you, you just your body
- 22:09Speaker 3: dominates it. I mean, since all the years of taking
- 22:13Speaker 3: ambient now my kids like melotonin saves my life. Yeah,
- 22:21Speaker 3: a three year old will not go to sleep sometimes.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Hey buddy, hey.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Bud, take this little gummy it in some cheese.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Sit still for five minutes and it works.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Sits still. That's hard. It's still for five minutes. Yeah.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll wake up and I know I'm dreaming, and
- 22:39Speaker 3: I know, like as soon as I wake up, I remember,
- 22:42Speaker 3: like vividly what the dream is, and I'm trying to,
- 22:45Speaker 3: like in my brain, I'm trying to like clicking in
- 22:47Speaker 3: clicking the memory because I just want to, like I
- 22:49Speaker 3: want to examine it, like what's actually going in my
- 22:51Speaker 3: through my brain at night.
- 22:53Speaker 4: But it's like trying to.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Grasp at like a fog that's like fading away, Like
- 22:57Speaker 3: I can't I can't remember what happened, but I can
- 22:59Speaker 3: see certain faces like, oh yeah, I don't feel.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Like i'd dream that much anymore. Hmm. I think you're wrong.
- 23:10Speaker 4: I think I bet they're very nice dreams. They probably are.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Well, what gives me nightmares is thinking back to report
- 23:18Speaker 3: day for training camp.
- 23:19Speaker 4: A little PTSD on that one.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah, report day was never fun because you knew what
- 23:25Speaker 3: you were about to go through. Now it's the culmination
- 23:28Speaker 3: of all, like a spring and a summer of hard work.
- 23:31Speaker 3: You're ready to get to the season. Like we were
- 23:34Speaker 3: at LSU for a reason. We were there to play football. Yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 3: but that was the start of it. But you also
- 23:39Speaker 3: knew well how hot it was, how tough it was
- 23:44Speaker 3: going to be, how little sleep you were going to get,
- 23:47Speaker 3: you were about to put your body through. Absolutely like me,
- 23:51Speaker 3: way less than you. I was about to hearing this
- 23:53Speaker 3: from your perspective, I'm like, shut up, Well you put
- 23:56Speaker 3: a jersey on and get touched the rest.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Of camp for sure. Yeah, don't touch me. Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Sure, we had to go bang heads for I mean,
- 24:02Speaker 3: back then we were still doing two days.
- 24:03Speaker 4: The don't do they do two days anymore?
- 24:04Speaker 3: Well, you signed up for it, I know, and I
- 24:06Speaker 3: loved it, like that part was fun, but like do
- 24:09Speaker 3: they do two days anymore?
- 24:11Speaker 4: No?
- 24:12Speaker 3: No, I had this conversation, Yeah, give you that, And
- 24:15Speaker 3: back when we were doing it was like every other
- 24:17Speaker 3: practice with the two day yep. But I actually liked
- 24:20Speaker 3: the two day practice is better because you knew one
- 24:22Speaker 3: of the practice was going to be a little bit
- 24:23Speaker 3: lighter because they could technically only have you on the
- 24:25Speaker 3: field for so many hours that day you'd have a
- 24:27Speaker 3: shells practice.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Yeah that was yeah, that wasn't real.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Two days Like the first two years when I was
- 24:34Speaker 3: at LSU, it was like the real deal two days,
- 24:37Speaker 3: whereas full pads twice a day.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Do you remember like days in a row, you know, six?
- 24:43Speaker 3: There was a a the time that Polini and Jimbo
- 24:46Speaker 3: went at it and the coaches start fighting. We're running
- 24:49Speaker 3: perfect forties and they're like, okay, well, now they start
- 24:51Speaker 3: having defensive players call out offensive players and offensive coaches
- 24:54Speaker 3: calling out defensive players. We run like freaking thirty something forties.
- 24:57Speaker 3: They're dragging bodies off the field. Ye, I can remember
- 25:00Speaker 3: remember that, the good old y. This was like my
- 25:01Speaker 3: freshman year. I'm like, this is gonna suck. Yeah, Like,
- 25:04Speaker 3: you know, they's just dragging bodies off the field, and
- 25:06Speaker 3: you know, you get into the training room, every freaking
- 25:09Speaker 3: ivy bags hooked up. You got people that are just
- 25:11Speaker 3: dragging bodies into the shower. I was like, yeah, college football. Yeah,
- 25:16Speaker 3: that's the only time I saw less miles get up
- 25:18Speaker 3: and made the coaches apologize to us that meeting back
- 25:20Speaker 3: when we were a proper program and dragon bodies off
- 25:23Speaker 3: the field.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Drag them all, make sure they were alive.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Yeah, So to add some little bit of a little
- 25:27Speaker 3: bit of a clarity to that, it was like perfect
- 25:30Speaker 3: forties was Miles like that was his post practice condition
- 25:35Speaker 3: And if you've played, if you've played sports before, you
- 25:37Speaker 3: you understand there's post practice conditioning for every different sport.
- 25:40Speaker 3: And like basketball it's running lines and football a lot
- 25:43Speaker 3: of times it'll be gassers or half gassers.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Well, myles was perfect forties, which.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Was a really great way to do it because you
- 25:50Speaker 3: have to three people stay mentally sharp. So you have
- 25:54Speaker 3: to you would get up and you have to be
- 25:56Speaker 3: in a perfect line every position group. This is our
- 25:58Speaker 3: like warm up line, like a pre The guy behind
- 26:00Speaker 3: you had to be broke down. Yeah, the guy behind
- 26:02Speaker 3: you had to be broke down, and they like the
- 26:04Speaker 3: strength coach would say, you know, ready, ready, or whatever
- 26:07Speaker 3: it was, and you'd have to put your hand exactly
- 26:09Speaker 3: behind the line. You have to get off touch the
- 26:10Speaker 3: line down account. Yeah, if you touch the line, it
- 26:12Speaker 3: didn't count. You had to finish through the line. That
- 26:16Speaker 3: was the big thing, and that was the subjective part
- 26:18Speaker 3: of the situation.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Everything else was pretty self explained.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Effort. You got to give effort, and the coaches were
- 26:25Speaker 3: allowed to say, okay, eighty eight didn't finish through the line,
- 26:29Speaker 3: and then everybody had to run again.
- 26:31Speaker 4: So Miles would be like, all right, great practice, we
- 26:34Speaker 4: only got two perfect.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Forties, or he'd say we got eight, or we got six,
- 26:38Speaker 3: so we got ten. However, he felt that day, how
- 26:40Speaker 3: many perfect forties do you have? So however many it
- 26:44Speaker 3: took you to get perfect forty, down would be it
- 26:47Speaker 3: was the number. So for that day, let's just say
- 26:50Speaker 3: it was four. We ended up running like thirty of them.
- 26:53Speaker 3: And it was usually the position coach's job to call
- 26:57Speaker 3: his position. Well, o' polini one day decided to call
- 27:03Speaker 3: out was it early?
- 27:04Speaker 4: He called out first? Early?
- 27:06Speaker 3: He called out somebody. Somebody on defense, called out an
- 27:08Speaker 3: offensive player. And it wasn't like a scrub, It wasn't
- 27:12Speaker 3: like a freshman. It wasn't somebody it was it was
- 27:15Speaker 3: an older guy that was a starter who had a
- 27:18Speaker 3: lot of experience, and Jimbo didn't like that.
- 27:21Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, Glen Dorsey and didn't
- 27:25Speaker 4: finish through the line. Yeah, they start calling out key playing.
- 27:27Speaker 3: And it went back and forth, and yeah, it was
- 27:32Speaker 3: one hundred and eight plays scrimmage practice. It wasn't a
- 27:34Speaker 3: regular practice.
- 27:36Speaker 4: It was full pads.
- 27:38Speaker 3: So it became a bo Polini Jimba Fisher, you know what,
- 27:41Speaker 3: measuring contest at our expense, and Myles is at the
- 27:46Speaker 3: at one point.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Just stop, y'all are done, y'all are done. He made
- 27:50Speaker 4: the coaches apologize to us.
- 27:52Speaker 3: I mean, legit, I remember that was my freshman year,
- 27:55Speaker 3: like first camp, and I remember, I mean the first
- 27:58Speaker 3: time in my life. I see, I'm not you can say.
- 28:00Speaker 3: They were dragging bodies off the field like people were
- 28:02Speaker 3: passing out, hitting the ground. People were grabbing by the
- 28:05Speaker 3: shoulder pads and dragging him to the locker room like yep,
- 28:07Speaker 3: this is this is this SEC football.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Can't wait? Yeah, that's uh. The conditioning partner never bothered
- 28:13Speaker 4: me like that.
- 28:14Speaker 3: You taught me early on that you know, we ran
- 28:17Speaker 3: one tens every Monday, yep, and then uh, everybody would
- 28:21Speaker 3: like to run them at seven before it got hot,
- 28:23Speaker 3: and you're like, dude, screw, let's just make it really
- 28:25Speaker 3: hard and sleep in and we'll.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Go run them at three.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Yeah, of course, yeah, you got the heat of the day.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Ye so yeah, I mean we just knew what I
- 28:32Speaker 3: was doing. We just wanted to sleep in, but made it,
- 28:35Speaker 3: made an excuse and made it work better. And on
- 28:37Speaker 3: perfect forties, Like you know, at some point you're not
- 28:41Speaker 3: gonna run fast. You can, you got to get out
- 28:43Speaker 3: fast and maintain yeap, but just pump your arms really hard,
- 28:46Speaker 3: make it look like you're running fast, and get a
- 28:49Speaker 3: little exaggerate. God, I got it. Yeah, perfect forties. I
- 28:56Speaker 3: wonder if they still do that, they do one tens anymore?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Does anybody they have to? I felt like even at
- 29:02Speaker 3: the end of Moffitt, they weren't doing one tens for
- 29:04Speaker 3: the big right a passage they have to, Yeah, but
- 29:06Speaker 3: I don't think the big guys were doing them anymore.
- 29:08Speaker 3: The big guys they were doing that was the most
- 29:10Speaker 3: fun part to watch the big guys did one tends.
- 29:13Speaker 3: The most fun thing to do was come back that
- 29:15Speaker 3: afternoon and watching all the freshmen run m M with
- 29:17Speaker 3: us pretty much.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Yeah, it was like, weren't you an afternoon group.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Yeah, in the afternoon with all the freshmen. Yeah, but
- 29:25Speaker 3: for the test group we had to run in the
- 29:27Speaker 3: morning house. Then everybody came back to watch the first
- 29:29Speaker 3: all right, the older guys, the test, the conditioning test
- 29:32Speaker 3: was was in the morning, then the freshmen were were
- 29:35Speaker 3: in the afternoon. I would assume they still have a condition.
- 29:40Speaker 3: So if they report today, I would assume they have
- 29:42Speaker 3: a conditioning test today. That's normally how it goes, Like
- 29:45Speaker 3: even even at the next level. What was your conditioning
- 29:48Speaker 3: test in Green Bay? We actually didn't have one in
- 29:50Speaker 3: Green Bay. So the one tens never really bothered me
- 29:55Speaker 3: because I could run them in the skill or mid skill.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I mean it just yeah, one ten was sprinting for
- 29:59Speaker 3: fift yards and coasting last, well, the test was for that.
- 30:03Speaker 3: The test was so much easier than the workouts. Yeah,
- 30:05Speaker 3: I mean sixteen one tens was the test. I mean
- 30:07Speaker 3: normally in the workout. That was the one thing that
- 30:09Speaker 3: scared the death out of me before, Like when I
- 30:11Speaker 3: was in high school, after I committed, and everybody tells
- 30:13Speaker 3: me about the one tens, So I had literally run
- 30:16Speaker 3: one tens three days a week. They MAFFA gave you
- 30:18Speaker 3: that workout book and do all this stuff, like no,
- 30:20Speaker 3: I'm so scared about these one tens, Like that was
- 30:22Speaker 3: my conditioning Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Yeah, we hit it down though,
- 30:26Speaker 3: Like then I got there. I'm like this really, I mean,
- 30:29Speaker 3: if you do it the right way, not what it
- 30:31Speaker 3: sucks is like because remember perfect forties, well the one
- 30:35Speaker 3: tends had to be perfect too. It was a breakdown
- 30:37Speaker 3: hand behind the line.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Perfect.
- 30:38Speaker 3: If we didn't finish, I mean there was time to
- 30:40Speaker 3: we'd say we were running sixteen one tens and ended
- 30:42Speaker 3: up running thirty two because they wouldn't count them.
- 30:45Speaker 5: Perfect forties was the worst. Yeah, yeah, that was the
- 30:49Speaker 5: worst condition.
- 30:50Speaker 3: It was the most one tens. I mean I think
- 30:51Speaker 3: thirty two was the most. Yeah, thirty two. That was
- 30:55Speaker 3: you were there, Yeah, But when Benny Brazil is getting
- 30:58Speaker 3: called out, no, I wouldn't have your stadium, and it
- 31:00Speaker 3: might have been another one like my junior year.
- 31:02Speaker 4: They kept calling it.
- 31:03Speaker 3: They kept calling because Benny Brazil, who is a try
- 31:06Speaker 3: he just got back from the Olympics running the four
- 31:10Speaker 3: hundred or whatever it was, or the three in hurdles
- 31:12Speaker 3: or whatever. I don't remember what his event was. Yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 3: he's coaching at LSU doing an awesome job. But he
- 31:17Speaker 3: had come back, and so Maffatt was just on one
- 31:20Speaker 3: that day and he wasn't He's like, you were in
- 31:22Speaker 3: the leves. You should be winning everyone, and he wasn't
- 31:25Speaker 3: on the one tens, and so we kept having to
- 31:27Speaker 3: do him over thirty two. I was I was throwing
- 31:29Speaker 3: up as I was running, like, yeah, so I remember that.
- 31:32Speaker 3: That was when y'all did that in the stadium, So
- 31:34Speaker 3: I've heard that story. So we did it again on
- 31:37Speaker 3: the field. It was just one of those times there
- 31:40Speaker 3: was a guy. I can't really talk about it now.
- 31:43Speaker 3: There's all these stories that come up and I want
- 31:45Speaker 3: to say it, and I'm talking about were getting punched
- 31:47Speaker 3: in the face in the middle of it, knocked him out,
- 31:50Speaker 3: does good job and just keep running. I was talking
- 31:52Speaker 3: about the one time though during the condition Oh yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 3: he's a tough guy to talk about right now too. Well,
- 32:00Speaker 3: one of one of our teammates. During the conditioning test,
- 32:02Speaker 3: you couldn't not you couldn't stop for anything.
- 32:04Speaker 4: There was no bathroom break. He had to go potty
- 32:06Speaker 4: and he went he went potty on.
- 32:07Speaker 3: The field, and it just made it worse for everybody
- 32:10Speaker 3: else because you we couldn't do anything about it and
- 32:13Speaker 3: it's like one hundred degrees outside.
- 32:15Speaker 4: Fun yep. Well, well we're.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Gonna reminisce some more of this hour. This is training camp,
- 32:20Speaker 3: it's report day and brings back a lot of memories.

- 33:01Speaker 3: had even even working with them, threw off the bench,
- 33:04Speaker 3: like exceeded expectation after expectations.
- 33:07Speaker 4: So we've talked to them, my wife and.
- 33:08Speaker 3: I Thatt like, we don't really know, we're really good
- 33:11Speaker 3: at telling them what we don't like. We're not like
- 33:13Speaker 3: really good about saying like what we do, like what
- 33:15Speaker 3: kind of design. We like, well, we had like one
- 33:17Speaker 3: or two conversations with him, and a couple of weeks
- 33:19Speaker 3: later they come out with this design and show us
- 33:21Speaker 3: what they've picked out for us and what they've drawn
- 33:23Speaker 3: up and lazy and are like, yes, this is.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Exactly what they pretty much read their mind. They are good.

- 35:33Speaker 3: today mister Sam Levitt.
- 35:37Speaker 4: He's also on the.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Maxwell Award preseason watch list preseason watch list time right now, Richard,
- 35:46Speaker 3: which I don't think is a very big deal, but
- 35:47Speaker 3: it is. It is a tip of the cap to
- 35:49Speaker 3: what he has done in the past. Is the top
- 35:51Speaker 3: twenty is that the list. I know there's like five
- 35:53Speaker 3: hundred something like that. I looked at the list today.
- 35:56Speaker 3: There's a lot. There's a lot they.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Don't get to.
- 35:58Speaker 5: They don't get to twenty till like the semi finalist
- 36:01Speaker 5: halfway through the year.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I was like, oh that's cool, Maxwell Ward, let me
- 36:04Speaker 3: check it out. Is it like were they starting with
- 36:05Speaker 3: ten or we're gonna work or we're gonna we're gonna
- 36:07Speaker 3: weed it out and now it's not like the tight
- 36:09Speaker 3: end one was like twenty I can't remember what it
- 36:13Speaker 3: was it might be, but like this one is, so
- 36:17Speaker 3: this is the Maxwell's best offensive player, right, best all
- 36:19Speaker 3: around player?
- 36:20Speaker 4: Say that was a lot more.
- 36:21Speaker 3: When the tight end room, like the preseason tight end,
- 36:24Speaker 3: It's like mackew was like, they didn't have twenty. Yeah,
- 36:28Speaker 3: so the Maxwell is kind of like I guess the
- 36:30Speaker 3: great value version of the Heisman.
- 36:31Speaker 4: I guess best all around player.
- 36:33Speaker 5: And typically if you got two guys that are neck
- 36:35Speaker 5: and neck for the Heisman, a lot of times the
- 36:38Speaker 5: Maxwell goes to the guy that doesn't win.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Walter Camp the same thing.
- 36:41Speaker 3: So twenty twenty five, though exception to the rule. Fernanda
- 36:45Speaker 3: Mendozo one twenty four Ashon gent twenty three, Michael Pennix Junior,
- 36:51Speaker 3: Excuse me, did you see the the Fernando and Kirk
- 36:55Speaker 3: cousins step brothers spoof on the schedule release?
- 36:58Speaker 4: I figured it was very good, very well done.
- 37:02Speaker 3: A couple of nerdy white dude quarterbacks just really embracing
- 37:07Speaker 3: their their nerd nandalorian.
- 37:11Speaker 4: What he called himself the Nandalorian. I didn't see that.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Are you we're talking about? Because what is uh? What
- 37:21Speaker 4: is great?
- 37:22Speaker 3: He said, you're gonna have to call me Kurt Cobain's
- 37:25Speaker 3: or Kirk chains and he goes, cool, You're gonna have
- 37:27Speaker 3: to call me the Nandalorian. I didn't catch that or
- 37:32Speaker 3: didn't remember it, but that's pretty good. I like that
- 37:34Speaker 3: old Nando. Mm hmmm, that's good. And they just became
- 37:38Speaker 3: best friends? Did they just become best friends?
- 37:42Speaker 4: All right?
- 37:43Speaker 3: Lsu reporting What is give me something? A couple of
- 37:47Speaker 3: guys that you are looking forward to? You know, I
- 37:52Speaker 3: don't know if you're gonna make it out to practice,
- 37:53Speaker 3: but at least I hear it how they're doing. What's
- 37:55Speaker 3: a couple of guys you got your eyeballs on? I
- 37:57Speaker 3: wouldn't say, like, you know the hard part about today's
- 38:00Speaker 3: college football. I can't name a couple of guys. I
- 38:02Speaker 3: can name the quarterback and named trade Is. I can
- 38:04Speaker 3: name a few guys that you know, they been around
- 38:07Speaker 3: long enough or big enough for me to know their names.
- 38:10Speaker 3: But what I'd really like to see is like the
- 38:12Speaker 3: run game. And I know it sounds so boring, but
- 38:16Speaker 3: we haven't had a run games in the Brian Keilly area.
- 38:18Speaker 3: And everybody likes to come up and say, well, you know,
- 38:20Speaker 3: Jay and Daniels, that'ss Those were all freaking busted plays.
- 38:23Speaker 3: For the most part, those were scramble yardages. It wasn't
- 38:26Speaker 3: designed a run game that we were, you know, attacking.
- 38:29Speaker 3: You had one of the most dynamic football players of
- 38:31Speaker 3: all time at the college level. Okay, see you have
- 38:34Speaker 3: to throw that out as an outlier. I mean, you
- 38:37Speaker 3: do not get credit for Jade and Daniels running game
- 38:39Speaker 3: for a seventy yards scramble touchdown running numbers look good. No,
- 38:43Speaker 3: we weren't running the ball, So I mean, I'm excited
- 38:45Speaker 3: to see that. I want to see improvement on the
- 38:47Speaker 3: offensive line, That's what I would I'm gonna go to
- 38:50Speaker 3: a few practices and just I usually watch the old line.
- 38:53Speaker 4: I like to see how that guys.
- 38:54Speaker 3: You're gonna watch it from like a different scope than
- 38:56Speaker 3: most people can watch it, just from a like a
- 38:59Speaker 3: ball level, you know, understanding pad levels, understanding technique, technique,
- 39:05Speaker 3: and how you know line me can work with each other.
- 39:07Speaker 3: But I tell people to be very careful when you
- 39:12Speaker 3: hear most offensive line or defensive line for that matter,
- 39:17Speaker 3: reports the first week or two of practice, because for one,
- 39:21Speaker 3: you don't you can.
- 39:23Speaker 4: It's kind of like trying to judge drills.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I mean, that's not going to show you what the
- 39:26Speaker 3: offense can do one on one drills, man versus man.
- 39:29Speaker 4: You you can see how you can judge an individual.
- 39:33Speaker 3: By that, but it's not gonna show me how that
- 39:34Speaker 3: guy in the guard work together, how the tackle works together,
- 39:36Speaker 3: the center and the tackle. You know, how are they
- 39:38Speaker 3: gonna pull, how are they gonna get around? You know,
- 39:40Speaker 3: you're just watching Amanda Man's one on one strength. It's
- 39:43Speaker 3: fun to watch, but I mean I would go last year,
- 39:45Speaker 3: I mean even the year before, and you'd watch those
- 39:47Speaker 3: guys in one on one drills. I'm like, offensive line
- 39:49Speaker 3: looks pretty good, pretty good, and then they get together
- 39:52Speaker 3: and you know they couldn't block assault right and a
- 39:55Speaker 3: lot of that's coaching, Like if you if you look
- 39:57Speaker 3: good it coaching. I mean I go back and watch
- 40:00Speaker 3: that film. It was god awful. Yeah, I mean the
- 40:03Speaker 3: technique that some of these guys were using, and like
- 40:05Speaker 3: hand placement was always bad, hat placement was bad. Like
- 40:08Speaker 3: their first steps weren't getting out the block that we
- 40:09Speaker 3: didn't have a good bucket step. I mean when you
- 40:11Speaker 3: go back and watch them, like these are stuff that
- 40:13Speaker 3: Stacy Cerrils would have freaking snapped your neck over. I
- 40:16Speaker 3: was given the coaches a lot of credit by saying
- 40:18Speaker 3: a lot of it was coaching, but yes, it was
- 40:20Speaker 3: all of it.
- 40:21Speaker 4: It really was. Now.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Of course, just like anybody, there are clips of the
- 40:26Speaker 3: right tackle or left tackle getting beat one on one.
- 40:28Speaker 3: It's gonna happen. But you can't all the issues that
- 40:32Speaker 3: the O line had last year. You can't put that
- 40:35Speaker 3: on the kids. And that's why it was so hard
- 40:37Speaker 3: to judge the guys that were playing for you are
- 40:40Speaker 3: they actually bad or is it the scheme? And they
- 40:43Speaker 3: were never put in a position to be successful.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Most of the guys that left got paid to go
- 40:48Speaker 4: somewhere else.
- 40:49Speaker 3: It got paid a lot, got paid a lot of money,
- 40:50Speaker 3: Like there was linemen that played for US last year
- 40:53Speaker 3: that people wrote off that were getting paid seven hundred
- 40:55Speaker 3: and fifty thousand. No, I mean there's very talented guys
- 40:58Speaker 3: like Weston Davis. I think is has an opportunity to
- 41:01Speaker 3: be very good. When I watched him, I felt bad
- 41:04Speaker 3: for him as a young player, he did not get
- 41:06Speaker 3: a lot of help. He was still so far behind
- 41:09Speaker 3: technique wise that you know, it's like he's still in
- 41:12Speaker 3: a freshman year. Yeah, and when your running game relies
- 41:16Speaker 3: on your alignment to block the first level and they
- 41:22Speaker 3: don't even have an opportunity to get to the second level,
- 41:24Speaker 3: the linebacker level, because you might pull it and throw
- 41:28Speaker 3: a wide receiver screen out of the So that's that.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Was the issues.
- 41:32Speaker 3: That was you're just scratching the surface of the issues
- 41:35Speaker 3: last year. But to your point, very excited about watching
- 41:38Speaker 3: the offensive line. That running game has to improve, and
- 41:40Speaker 3: there is no indication based on Lane Kiffin's history that
- 41:43Speaker 3: it will not improve, because it's it's gonna be a
- 41:46Speaker 3: lot better. But just be careful of watching your offensive
- 41:49Speaker 3: line and defensive line for that matter, at reports the
- 41:51Speaker 3: first couple of weeks, you're going to see a lot
- 41:53Speaker 3: this looks good, this looks this doesn't look good the
- 41:55Speaker 3: first You're not going to really know till the end
- 41:57Speaker 3: of training camp. In the first week, the first two weeks,
- 41:59Speaker 3: defense gonna dominate. It just typically does.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 42:02Speaker 3: It happens all the time. The offense is gonna have
- 42:04Speaker 3: its moments. Overall, it's gonna do defenses. You know, they're
- 42:07Speaker 3: gonna show up and fly around with their you know,
- 42:09Speaker 3: their head on fire. Offense is still working out a
- 42:12Speaker 3: lot of the mental clicks and you're making the calls
- 42:14Speaker 3: and seeing the guys and getting our you know, technique
- 42:16Speaker 3: together and getting our combos down, and it just takes
- 42:19Speaker 3: a little bit longer to put together.
- 42:20Speaker 4: Yep.
- 42:20Speaker 3: All right, we're gonna go to break and we come back.
- 42:22Speaker 3: We're gonna keep just breaking it down. What we are
- 42:24Speaker 3: excited for with LSU reporting a training camp today right here.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Stick with us. Off the bench, Off the bench, all right.

- 44:05Speaker 3: Man, this makes me feel like we're driving to go

- 44:14Speaker 4: Look who's coming crawling back Old Jacob Hester.
- 44:18Speaker 7: Oh yeah, well let him know.

- 44:22Speaker 5: we'll try.
- 44:22Speaker 3: To Yeah, we'll try to fit you in. Hester, of course,

- 44:29Speaker 3: I don't.
- 44:30Speaker 4: Know where he is today.
- 44:31Speaker 7: So he's such a coward.
- 44:32Speaker 4: Somewhere on that right coast.
- 44:33Speaker 5: Coward ask the real questions.
- 44:37Speaker 7: Not one question about the boat.
- 44:39Speaker 4: We will get into a little bit late. We're going
- 44:41Speaker 4: to get into Aaron Rodgers.
- 44:42Speaker 3: About to say yeah I saw that, Aaron rod We
- 44:44Speaker 3: are going to talk and that's but we got a
- 44:45Speaker 3: short segment here. We ain't got enough time. No, we
- 44:48Speaker 3: ain't got enough time to get in that. But we
- 44:51Speaker 3: will just preaching truth out there. Yesterday on Pat McAfee show,
- 44:56Speaker 3: the latest version on that note, it's good, it's amazing.
- 45:00Speaker 7: And on that note, on that note, like Pat, he's gonna.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Just get four minutes left, Well I can do over
- 45:05Speaker 3: for four more minutes.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Yeah, Pat, you're trying to cut him off.
- 45:10Speaker 3: You're good to go, Buddy's trying to protect his paycheck.
- 45:14Speaker 5: But you have Aaron Rodgers on weekly. What'd you expect
- 45:16Speaker 5: something like this was going to happen?
- 45:18Speaker 3: Absolutely well, it needed part of it kind of you know,
- 45:21Speaker 3: helped blow up the show back in twenty twenty whenever there.
- 45:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, guest.
- 45:25Speaker 3: So like Pat can't ever turn that side of it down.
- 45:29Speaker 3: That's what I don't think he wants to either, No,
- 45:31Speaker 3: he doesn't want to, but you know he's being told something.
- 45:34Speaker 4: Oh for sure.
- 45:35Speaker 3: But yeah that Pat has a pretty just like on
- 45:37Speaker 3: game Day, I think Pat's done a pretty good job
- 45:39Speaker 3: of this contract saying you really can't tell me nothing, right,
- 45:42Speaker 3: And they're like, okay.
- 45:43Speaker 4: It's just funny watching ESPN and they're like cussing on
- 45:46Speaker 4: it now. Yeah, whatever, this is just not what I'm
