- 2:13all of those important transitions in life. And
- 2:16today we're diving into a topic that is both
- 2:19foundational and transformative, grounding. Grounding
- 2:24oneself spiritually and grounding is a practice
- 2:28that connects us with the earth and aligns our
- 2:31energy and promoting balance and well -being.
- 2:34So actually, the definition of grounding is grounding
- 2:38is a process of connecting energetically to the
- 2:42earth to stabilize and balance our physical,
- 2:45emotional, and spiritual bodies. So grounding
- 2:50is a vital practice to maintain overall well
- 2:56-being. as it plays a critical role in stabilizing
- 2:59and balancing our physical, emotion, and spiritual
- 3:02states. So let's explore these. The first thing
- 3:07I want to talk about is our nervous system. Grounding
- 3:10helps to alleviate stress and repair a damaged
- 3:14and stressed nervous system. By reducing dissonance,
- 3:20and depolarization of the nerves, grounding promotes
- 3:24a calmer and more balanced state of being. And
- 3:30then the next one to talk about outside, the
- 3:32next benefit is the reduction of stress. By connecting
- 3:37with the Earth, grounding can signify reduction
- 3:44in stress levels. This connection helps to...
- 3:48this space helps get rid of, can't say the word,
- 3:52helps get rid of the excess energy and tension,
- 3:55leading to a more relaxed and center state. And
- 3:59I wanna tell you, some of us with the jobs that
- 4:01we have out there, the job that I used to have
- 4:03out there, that just brought so much stress onto
- 4:06my nervous system, onto my physical and emotional
- 4:09self. Grounding was a great way to help reduce
- 4:14that stress. Another thing is that grounding
- 4:18helps with is our electrical balance. So grounding
- 4:21can minimize electrical interference from electronical
- 4:25devices, which is increasingly important in the
- 4:29technology -driven world that we live in. I mean,
- 4:31how many of us have one of these, right, with
- 4:34us all the time in our back pocket, you know,
- 4:37or in our front pocket, or in our hands, or holding
- 4:40them? Like, we have them all day long. Right?
- 4:45So by increasing our grounding, we can reduce
- 4:48the impact of these electronical interferences
- 4:50in our bodies. And a great method for that is
- 4:54to sit inside, sit outside on the ground in the
- 5:00middle of a copper hoop. I know that sounds crazy,
- 5:03but it's great. And for instance, I have a hula
- 5:07hoop. And the only thing I've done is I wrapped
- 5:09it with copper wire. And I set it on the ground.
- 5:12And I get in the middle of that hula hoop. And
- 5:14I just sit there. And I allow the magic to just
- 5:18take place. So we'll talk more about that later.
- 5:22Another one is energetic stability. So grounding
- 5:27provides a sense of stability and security. helping
- 5:32to anchor us in the present moment. And this
- 5:35is particularly beneficial if you feel overwhelmed
- 5:38or disconnected. Another one is repolarization.
- 5:43In cases where you feel an extreme pull into
- 5:46the ground, techniques such as sunbathing, who
- 5:50loves sunbathing, the exposure to the sun can
- 5:54help repolarize and balance your body's energy.
- 5:58Oops, sorry. Oh, another one is connecting to
- 6:04nature. So grounding fosters a deeper connection
- 6:09to the natural world, which can enhance our senses
- 6:12of belonging and peace. Lying on the grass on
- 6:17the bare earth with a spine on the ground is
- 6:19simply yet effective way to achieving this connection.
- 6:23It's an amazing way to achieve that connection.
- 6:28So overall. grounding is a powerful practice
- 6:31that supports our health and our well -being
- 6:34by harmonizing our energy with the Earth's natural
- 6:39frequencies. But we are far from done. There's
- 6:42so much more to talk about. So we're going to
- 6:45talk about the tools for grounding. There are
- 6:49many tools that you can use for grounding, and
- 6:51some of these you've probably heard of. So the
- 6:54main one that probably most of us hear about
- 6:56is crystals. So there are several crystals that
- 6:59can help grounding, including obsidian, tourmaline,
- 7:02black kyanite, bloodstone, and so, so, so many
- 7:07more. And to help you out, I'm gonna add a more
- 7:12detailed list in the show notes so you don't
- 7:13have to sit here and try to keep them down, right?
- 7:17So, but when we talk about the grounding stones,
- 7:19we normally hear about the darker, more dense
- 7:22crystals, which are extremely supportive in this
- 7:26area. But for discussion today, I would like
- 7:30to talk about a lighter stone that is stabilizing,
- 7:35gentle with deep anchoring abilities, and earth
- 7:38-based, but still spiritually expansive and often
- 7:42overlooked for grounding. And that is the desert
- 7:47road selenite. So the desert road selenite, it
- 7:52helps you settle into yourself. It has a cleansing
- 7:57power that rejuvenates. So this rejuvenating
- 8:01stone infuses the ore with light to dissolve
- 8:05densities in the body's pathways, restoring balance
- 8:10to your chakras. It grounds your energy into
- 8:14the earth and stabilize harmony in all aspects
- 8:17of life. And what I love most about this crystal
- 8:21is that it doesn't ground you in a heavy way.
- 8:24It doesn't pull your energy down to make you
- 8:28feel dense. Instead, it helps your energy settle.
- 8:33It brings a sense of calm to your mind, clarity
- 8:36to your thoughts, and a gentle anchoring back
- 8:39into your body. It carries the energy of both
- 8:43air and water. And it reminds us that you don't
- 8:48have to choose between grounded and being connected,
- 8:52that you can actually do both. And towards the
- 8:56end of this segment, we're gonna talk about that
- 8:58just a little bit more from personal experiences
- 9:00that I've had. But I love the desert rose stone.
- 9:06I have a large one sitting on my desk at home
- 9:09and I just admire it so much and it's so helpful.
- 9:15So another thing I'm going to talk about is aromatherapy.
- 9:19One of my favorite things to incorporate into
- 9:21my day -to -day is aromatherapy. I have it in
- 9:24my office. I have it in my home. I have it in
- 9:27my workspace. I even have it here in my studio.
- 9:31Love it. Absolutely love it. So some great aromatherapy
- 9:36options can support grounding in different ways.
- 9:40Cedarwood, it offers a sense of safety and stability.
- 9:44While vetivir provides a deep, earthy, rooted
- 9:49feeling, and frankincense acts as a bridge between
- 9:53spiritual and physical. And lavender, oh, who
- 9:58doesn't love lavender? Lavender brings a calming,
- 10:02soothing presence. And I actually use lavender
- 10:07quite a bit here in the studio with my practices
- 10:10and my clients. My personal favorite though,
- 10:15which I haven't mentioned yet, is rosemary. The
- 10:20scent that not only calms, but also brings clarity
- 10:24and awareness. Rosemary helps clear the middle
- 10:28fog, brings you out of that floaty state and
- 10:31back into presence and alertness. And there's
- 10:34something about the aroma that just settles so
- 10:38deeply with me. Like I have a huge rosemary bush
- 10:42in my front yard and I will go out there and
- 10:45just pick a couple of the springs off and just
- 10:48Just just smell them and just enjoy them. It
- 10:52is just I don't know something about the rosemary
- 10:55just It's just so connection for me and I just
- 10:59love it So, but I do want to encourage you to
- 11:03take a look at the show notes. I do have a beautiful
- 11:07grounded and clear blend of essential oils that
- 11:11you can create at home that you can use during
- 11:13your own grounding practices. And I want to tell
- 11:15you, if there's another scent out there that
- 11:17calls to you, that resonates with you, by all
- 11:20means, incorporate it into your practices. There's
- 11:23nothing wrong with that. Another thing I want
- 11:27to talk about, and the reason I'm separating
- 11:30this out, because you may say, well, Summer,
- 11:33that doesn't combine with the groups that you
- 11:36have. This is very singular thing. But it's because
- 11:39of the power and the abilities that it has. So
- 11:41I'm bringing it out very separately, and that
- 11:43is copper. Because copper is a conductor, it
- 11:47can redirect. and redispense current. And if
- 11:52copper is connected to the earth, it can redirect
- 11:56your energetic energy into the earth. I mean,
- 12:01that's amazing. Of course, we know it can be
- 12:03used for grounding for our homes and other things,
- 12:06but it's also very helpful use for grounding
- 12:08for ourselves. So it supports the flow of energy
- 12:13and helps it move especially if your energy is
- 12:17felt lagging or stagnant It can amplify the energy
- 12:22enhance the flow of energy and offer support
- 12:25for balanced energetic pathways I Mean sample,
- 12:32you know samples of that abuses is like the hula
- 12:35hoop that I mentioned earlier You can get copper
- 12:38pyramids and you can set them under your table
- 12:41or you can meditate with them right with you
- 12:44copper wire and Find unique and wonderful ways
- 12:47to incorporate copper wire even copper plates
- 12:50Or even setting copper on a plate right to help
- 12:54with that. So Whatever ways that you can find
- 12:58to incorporate it, I strongly use it. I use it
- 13:01here in the studio. That copper hoop that I spoke
- 13:04about earlier, I will use it here for my clients
- 13:07during Reiki sessions if I feel that they need
- 13:09a little bit more pull for that grounding. Because
- 13:12it reminds the body. This is key. Copper reminds
- 13:16the body how to stay open while staying grounded.
- 13:21It helps guide energy back into alignment. It's
- 13:25an amazing, amazing tool that you can use and
- 13:30easy to get. Maybe expensive in some areas, but
- 13:33easy to get. Another thing, and this is something
- 13:39that I am working on to incorporate into my practices
- 13:44here in the studio, is herbal teas. So it's a
- 13:49beautiful way to incorporate a grounding ritual
- 13:53for full embodiment. Chamomile, lemon balm, and
- 13:59rose trees are amazing for this. I personally
- 14:04like the blend of chamomile and termic. And so
- 14:08chamomile softens the system while turmeric brings
- 14:11you back into the body and helps reduce inflammation.
- 14:16And this combination is perfect if you're an
- 14:18over -thinker. emotionally overwhelmed, or feeling
- 14:22disconnected, or even floaty. So chamomile says,
- 14:27you're OK. You're safe. Or turmeric says, come
- 14:32on back to the body. Instead of just calming
- 14:35the mind, this combination helps you feel present.
- 14:41Again, in the show notes, I'll have a very simple
- 14:45recipe that you can use for this. But for the
- 14:49ritual, it's very simple. You make your tea.
- 14:54You find a space to sit and just be. You hold
- 14:58the cup. You feel the warmth in your hands. You
- 15:02let the caramel soften your breath and allow
- 15:05the tumor to bring your awareness back into your
- 15:08body. You're not trying to ground yourself. You
- 15:13are simply returning. Just breathe, sip. enjoy.
- 15:22So another thing that we're starting to hear
- 15:24more and more about are newer grounding products
- 15:27such as grounding sheets, blankets, apparel,
- 15:31and these products are all based on the concept
- 15:34of earthing. They're designed to connect your
- 15:38body with the Earth's electrical charge, usually
- 15:41through conductive products like silver or carbon.
- 15:45For instance, grounding sheets and blankets.
- 15:48They use a grounding plug that plugs into the
- 15:51grounding port of your outlet. And grounding
- 15:54shoes, which are made of natural materials, and
- 15:57they work well for you if you're gonna be walking
- 15:59on natural surfaces, right? Well, there is some
- 16:02science behind all the idea of physical grounding.
- 16:06grounding of the body, but it's important to
- 16:08understand and know that grounding is not something
- 16:11that you buy. It's something that you experience.
- 16:17So, and I will be honest, I do offer a grounding
- 16:20blanket in my healing practices, and some people
- 16:23can truly tell the difference in it, but it's
- 16:26about the experience. It's not about searching
- 16:28for the grounding. It's not about, you know,
- 16:32trying to find it. It's about being in it and
- 16:38the true grounding comes from your own awareness
- 16:40Your presence and your connection to your body
- 16:46Grounding is about becoming aware and supporting
- 16:50that and yes, there are tools that can help support
- 16:54it, but it all comes down to you So grounding
- 16:58should not be something that you are looking
- 17:03for something that you're trying to create or
- 17:06you're trying to bring into your reality is something
- 17:11that you experience. And maybe as we go on, hopefully
- 17:16maybe some of the stories at the end will help
- 17:19kind of resonate with that a little bit for the
- 17:22experience of the grounding. But before we get
- 17:26to there, let's talk about some methods. that
- 17:28are used for grounding, right? So one is we just
- 17:32spoke about earthing. So walking barefoot on
- 17:36natural surfaces like grass, sand, or soil, it
- 17:39creates a direct connection between your body
- 17:42and the earth. And it's simple yet powerful way
- 17:46to shift of the mind and back into physical presence
- 17:49using sensation, contact, and awareness as an
- 17:54anchor. So grounding is all about anchoring into
- 17:57the present moment. So in the benefits of this,
- 18:01it supports relaxation, encourage nervous system
- 18:04balance, and enhances natural sense of grounding
- 18:07and connection. Another great method is meditation
- 18:13and visualization. It can be a powerful way to
- 18:17support grounding, especially when it brings
- 18:20your awareness back into the body. So simple
- 18:25practice like body scanning can help you notice
- 18:27where you're holding tension and where your attention
- 18:30has drifted, allowing you to gently return to
- 18:34the present moment. and visualizations such as
- 18:38imagining roots extending into the earth can
- 18:42deepen the sense of that connection. But it works
- 18:45best when it comes from a place of presence rather
- 18:48than trying to reach. So grounding is being present
- 18:54in the body and being present with yourself,
- 18:57right? Enhancing body awareness supports your
- 19:01nervous system. and strengthens the connection
- 19:05between physical presence and spiritual awareness.
- 19:09It truly does. Another great method and one that
- 19:16I use during my guided meditations quite often
- 19:20is breath work. The breath is the most accessible
- 19:25tool for grounding that you have. Intentional
- 19:29breathing helps bring your awareness out of thought
- 19:32and into the body, creating a natural anchor
- 19:37into the present moment. It encourages calm,
- 19:41supports emotional balance, and strengthens your
- 19:44ability to remain present and grounded. So an
- 19:50example of breath work would be like breathe
- 19:53in four, hold for four, exhale for six. So let's
- 20:03just do it real quick right so we're going to
- 20:05breathe in two three four hold two three four
- 20:13and exhale four five and six one more time without
- 20:19counting breathe in hold And exhale. Feel the
- 20:32relaxation across the body. Feel the tension
- 20:35release in your shoulders. Feel the reconnection
- 20:39with you. That's breath work. And there's other
- 20:44techniques as well that may work just as fabulous
- 20:47for you. Another one is Nature immersion, immersing
- 20:55yourself in nature invites your system to slow
- 20:59down and recalibrate. Whether it's the rhythm
- 21:02of the water, the stillness of the trees, or
- 21:06the feeling of the ground beneath you, nature
- 21:09provides a natural anchor back into the presence.
- 21:14It encourages relaxation, supports emotional
- 21:18balance. and deepens your sense of grounding
- 21:22and connection to both self and environment.
- 21:25So it's beautiful. As we already mentioned, crystals
- 21:29and stones can also be used as anchors, bringing
- 21:33your awareness back into the body through touch
- 21:36and presence and intention. So stones like hematite,
- 21:41like tourmaline, smoky cores, are often associated
- 21:44with grounding, helping you feel more steady
- 21:47and supported. as you move through your day.
- 21:50A lot of people put them in their pockets. If
- 21:53you're a female, a lot of times we put them in
- 21:55our bras. And just knowing that they're there
- 21:59and that you set an intent for that stone is
- 22:03many times enough to help you have small grounding
- 22:09opportunities throughout your day. I mean, because
- 22:14they're a physical reminder. of what we should
- 22:18do. So there's many ways you can integrate grounding
- 22:23into your daily lives through routines, mindful
- 22:26moments, and journaling. And so routine practices,
- 22:31you can incorporate small, consistent grounding
- 22:34movements into your day, whether it's in the
- 22:37morning, setting the tone in the morning when
- 22:40you first wake up or in the evening to settle
- 22:43your system. It doesn't have to be elaborate.
- 22:47It can be simple as taking a few intentional
- 22:49breaths, stepping out of the moment and pausing
- 22:53to notice where your body is before moving into
- 22:56the next part of your day. And over time, these
- 23:00small practices create a sense of stability that
- 23:04carries you so you're not having to carry yourself.
- 23:09You're allowing being present and being in the
- 23:11moment. with where you are in your body and how
- 23:16it's settling in. Mindful moments are great.
- 23:24Engaging in practices such as yoga and Tai Chi
- 23:30allow grounding to become something experienced
- 23:34through movement. So these practices bring awareness
- 23:39to the body the breath and the present movement
- 23:43helping you harmonize physically and energetically
- 23:46states without forcing the stillness some of
- 23:50us is some of us and I used to be used to be
- 23:55one as well. It was very hard for me to be in
- 23:58that stillness in that quiet. And so engaging
- 24:03in yoga or Tai Chi or even mindful walks, right,
- 24:09where you clear your mind and you experience
- 24:13the walk and everything that surrounds you. Because
- 24:18sometimes those quiet moments, I'll be honest,
- 24:20sometimes they're just too much and we need something
- 24:23else to help move us through that and it's perfectly
- 24:26okay. And even gentle stretching or slow intentional
- 24:31movement can support this connection. So you
- 24:36don't always have to sit there and be like, oh.
- 24:40You can do other things to help with that. One
- 24:44of my favorites and one that I recommend many
- 24:48times is journaling. Journaling offers a way
- 24:51to reflect on your experience with grounding
- 24:55and how they show up in your daily life. It's
- 24:59not about over analyzing, it's about noticing.
- 25:04Noticing when you feel more present, when you
- 25:07feel more steady, and what supports you in that.
- 25:11You know, what supports you in being that present.
- 25:14And over time, this awareness helps you build
- 25:17a better understanding of what grounding looks
- 25:20and feels like in your own experiences. So journal
- 25:24those moments so you can connect with them and
- 25:27understand them a little bit more clear Because
- 25:30a lot of times when we can draw and I don't care
- 25:32if it's written journaling I don't care if it's
- 25:34a video or voice journaling whatever it is Right,
- 25:38but pay attention to it. Go back and listen to
- 25:41it so you can connect with that and so you can
- 25:43learn So just some personal experiences that
- 25:49I would like to share There was a time on my
- 25:54journey where I kept hearing over and over again,
- 25:57you need to be more grounded. You need to be
- 25:59more grounded. I mean, and like many of us, I
- 26:03went straight to the visualization, picturing
- 26:06roots extending from my feet and down into the
- 26:09earth. And I'm like, yes, I'm grounded. That's
- 26:12all I need to do. And while that helped to some
- 26:17extent, I mean, just a little bit, the bottom
- 26:21half of me felt very heavy, right? That's what
- 26:25it did. I was still very floaty and up in the
- 26:28air. I was still, you know, lived in that upper
- 26:32realms, vibrations, you know, quite often. And
- 26:41to, you know, like I said, to some extent it
- 26:44did help, but I still felt like I was trying
- 26:47to ground rather than actually experiencing it.
- 26:51And so when you're trying to ground, it's not
- 26:54gonna work, right? You got to experience it.
- 26:58You got to feel it all the way through. And it
- 27:04wasn't until I had a Reiki session and the Reiki
- 27:07practitioner told me... You're all this energy
- 27:13is sitting on your top half. You kind of pull
- 27:15it all the way through your body You don't just
- 27:20send the energy down you allow it to move through
- 27:24the entire body You feel the energy of your crown
- 27:29chakra you feel the energy of your third eye
- 27:32chakra You feel the energy of your throat chakra
- 27:34you feel them all pulling them blending into
- 27:38one another to go down Through the entire body
- 27:43through all of your chakras from the top all
- 27:47the way down into the earth And when I realized
- 27:51that it shifted everything for me because grounding
- 27:56stopped being something I was imagining and Actually
- 28:01became something that I could actually feel The
- 28:05flow of the energy moving through me not just
- 28:09out of me And that's when grounding took on a
- 28:13completely different meaning for me. And then
- 28:18just recently I had another experience that even
- 28:21deepened this even more. And it was amazing.
- 28:28I was on a cruise and I found myself spending
- 28:32hours alone just looking out at the ocean. And
- 28:36believe me, I love this. I was not lonely. I
- 28:39was not upset. I was embracing. I wasn't trying
- 28:47to do anything. I wasn't trying to receive anything.
- 28:51I was just being with it. The vastness, the calm,
- 28:57the unknown, the nothingness, and yet the sense
- 29:03that everything was there at the same time. And
- 29:09there was something so grounding about this.
- 29:13It wasn't heavy, not dense, but expansive and
- 29:18deeply settling, very nurturing, very, very,
- 29:24I felt like nature, you know, God or source,
- 29:29whatever, giving me a nice big hug. I felt like
- 29:34home. And it reminded me of times in the past
- 29:40where we used to do a sailboat liveaboard for
- 29:42days, you know, and that same feeling of slowing
- 29:46down, disconnecting from everything external
- 29:50and reconnecting with something much deeper,
- 29:54much, much deeper. But this time it took on a
- 29:57different... a different meaning or a different
- 29:59presence. And what stood out for me in this moment
- 30:03was how powerful it is to simply be present with
- 30:09what appears to be nothing and realize it's actually
- 30:14everything. I mean, it was beautiful. It was
- 30:18amazing. A vast of nothingness that is actually
- 30:23everything. Mean it's still like gives me choked
- 30:27up because it was such an amazing experience
- 30:31But what I've come to realize is that grounding
- 30:37isn't about being smaller or heavier or less
- 30:41spiritual It's about becoming more expansive
- 30:46in your own awareness in your connection with
- 30:50spirit and realizing that being a living embodied
- 30:54being is what it's all about. You've heard the
- 31:00phrase, you know, if you've been in this space
- 31:02long enough, you've heard this phrase, we are
- 31:06souls having a human experience. And yes, that
- 31:10is absolutely true. But what often gets missed
- 31:15is that remembering you are a soul is not meant
- 31:20to pull you out of the human experience because
- 31:23you are here for the human experience. It's meant
- 31:31to bring the awareness back into it. So being
- 31:37grounded and remembering that you are a soul
- 31:42pulling that energy all back through your physical
- 31:48self is bringing that awareness back into the
- 31:53human experience. Because your soul, your higher
- 31:58self, that's where you're rooted. And grounding
- 32:04is not about disconnecting from that. It's about
- 32:09allowing that connection to fully live within
- 32:12your body. There can be this tendency in your
- 32:21spiritual path to try to stay up there. to stay
- 32:26connected to whatever feels elevated, expansive,
- 32:29also very outside of your body. But what I've
- 32:35come to understand is that we're not here to
- 32:39fly above the experience. We're not here to be
- 32:42up there and be floaty. We're here to bring that
- 32:48expansion into form, into physical form. to allow
- 32:55the awareness, the knowing, and the energy of
- 33:00your soul to move through it, to be expressive
- 33:04through it, and to live through it. That's what
- 33:08it's all about. And through my own connection
- 33:13with my higher self and through moments of reflection
- 33:16and stillness, I have truly come to understand
- 33:20that we grow and expand here, As we grow and
- 33:25expand here in this physical space, our soul,
- 33:30our higher self is also expanding. There's no
- 33:36separation between the two. You're not leaving
- 33:41something behind. You're not missing out on something
- 33:45greater. It's all happening together. You're
- 33:49not missing out from being grounded. You're not
- 33:53going to miss out on any growth or any spiritual
- 33:56experience or any knowing from being grounded.
- 34:00It's actually very much the quite opposite. Grounding
- 34:06allows you to experience the full depth of who
- 34:09you are, not just as a soul, but as a soul who's
- 34:15fully alive, fully present. fully expressed in
- 34:21this human experience. That's pretty amazing.
- 34:29If you can get there and you can stay there in
- 34:32that state, it's freaking amazing. Thank you
- 34:46for joining me on this journey of the order grounding.
- 34:50Remembering, grounding is a personal practice
- 34:53that can be tailored to fit your unique needs
- 34:56and lifestyle. Staying connected to the earth
- 35:00and let it guide you to be a place of balance
- 35:02and harmony. I encourage you to go out and find
- 35:08those grounding rituals that resonate the most

- 37:18then we'll be taking about two months off preparing

- 37:25many more wonderful intuitive knowledge and gifts
