- 0:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little summer.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_03]: Gilmore to consider.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_03]: Summer, summer, summer, summer, summer.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_03]: You don't remember?
- 0:09[SPEAKER_03]: Hi, it's going to be so cool, too.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_03]: Summer.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, right.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_03]: I love to that film.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_03]: All right, we could get an amazing time.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: Hi everybody welcome back to Gilmore to consider with Tara and Haley.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Tara.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_03]: This is Haley.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: Hi, Haley.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: Hi, Tara.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_03]: Summer.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Summer.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Summer.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Do you like my um, you're so summary today.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_03]: I know I got my little Hawaiian shirt on there.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: You got your Hawaiian shirt on there.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure it's I don't have them on though.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, cute.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_03]: When we signed on to our meeting, I was like, oh my god, Haley is I'm going on vacation going on vacation for this summer.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: Gilmore to consider.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh wait, you know what?
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: Look what I've got.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: Ring ring.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's the phone.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's a waste mail.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: So it's our phone.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_03]: They're phone from our photo shoot.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's actually my mom's phone that went through.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: which feels, which feels right.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: It feels right that I would have my mom's phone for Gilmore girls voice sign.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: One hundred percent.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_03]: That feels really real.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_03]: That feels really right.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: So I came across this brand actually when I was scrolling, I always forget what Instagram I'm on like what profile I'm on.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: When I'm on ours for the podcast, I sometimes think I'm on mine.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: But I
- 1:35[SPEAKER_03]: stumbled upon this girl who's starting a business for like basically their their retro phones like landlines, but they came back to your phone.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, love that because I have had belief considered getting a landline like just cuts just to like just connect a little bit, but
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: I just thought that was really dream.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: Ultimately, my dream is to have a flip phone.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: That only a couple people have the number two and then actually need to get in touch with me.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: You can get in touch with me there and have my phone, like my iPhone, like still.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: But only when I want to get on it.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Love it.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, all of worry, Gilmour, I guess, and the revival.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: But different, but different.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not using them all at the same time.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that didn't confuse it about who's calling you.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of wild, but anyway, I digress.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: I really loved the nostalgia of it all.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: That was really smart.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: We do love a little nostalgia.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but before we get into the Gilmour to consider, we do have a little new segment coming up that's starting this week with our girl Tara because she can't read, which is such a lie, because Tara has actually sort of reading lately all.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm almost in a copy place.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: We are going on a journey and trying to slow down, trying not to get too excited.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you're puppy wanting to throw things out.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm like, oh, you like this thing?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: I will do this thing.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's because I need to disconnect from my phone before bed.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: I have found it is like, I mean, it should come as no surprise that looking at your phone before you go to bed is going to create a lot of disrupted sleep.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: I want to create healthier sleep habits and I have wanted to for the last year that's a huge reason why we started partnering with Hatch.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: and one of the many reasons why I love them.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_03]: But I still found that I was scrolling before bed.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's so easy to especially when you're planning a wedding.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just like, oh, I just stumbled upon Pinterest.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: And then I'm there for three hours.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: And then it's where I'm morning.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, okay, I guess I'll go to bed.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: So what's great is that I can disconnect read a little book and it's been happy by Emily Henry and it's a great way to end my night and go to bed.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_03]: Get some tired real quick.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: Not the book, not the content, just like that.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like I have, I've been doing that and trying to convince you of such for a while.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like it, yo.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: So you could be able to find it out for yourself.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't tell you.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: You had to do, you had to do you.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: But something that you do love also to do before bed is watch TV.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's true.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: And watch movies.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: And so Tara is starting a new segment called Gamor To Watch.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: Which I'm very excited about.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: Do you want to talk about it?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: Gilmour to watch is basically the sister podcast to Gilmour to read.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little bit of the column response because of course, as we all know, Haley loves to read.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: And we started the Gilmour to read segment born from the idea of starting a book club.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think that, you know, books are very heavily interwoven and literature and reading and like worries, studies nature and her love for books is really woven into the show.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: And
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: What else is woven into the show?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, is pop culture and television and movies and film and I think that it would be really cool to do something similar like Gilmour To Read.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_03]: But with TV and film, so that is how Gilmour To Watch was born.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_03]: We're basically going to kind of operate the same way that Gilmour To Read does in the sense that we'll be picking
- 5:14[SPEAKER_03]: watchables, watchable content, whether that's TV or film, that has a trope that's similar to Gilmore Girls.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_03]: This month, our first episode is going to be those of you who follow us on Instagram already know with Sarah Lambert, who is the creator and executive producer of Ginny and Georgia.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_03]: And that is a show that's on Netflix.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: It's a mother daughter show.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: Very different from Gilmore Girls, but was compared to Gilmore Girls a lot by the public, especially when it first came on this in the daughter.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_03]: But it's like a young mother, a young mother who's like thirty and her daughter is fifteen.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I simply like hot mom teenage daughter.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's going to be compared to young girls.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_03]: And there was a little bit of intention there.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_03]: from Netflix and we'll talk about it more with Sarah on Thursday because our first episode of Gilmore to watch is gonna be released this Thursday.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_03]: So be sure to tune in.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: She's great.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: I really, really loved talking to her.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: She is very down to Earth, very real, which kind of reminds me of Amy in a lot of ways.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like Amy is very no filter.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_03]: This is who I am.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I felt like Sarah was the same way.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean that in the most respectful way.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_03]: And she's very smart, very creative.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: She's a Gilmore Girls fan.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: So of course we talked about that.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: But we also talked about the fact that her show was compared to Gilmore Girls a lot.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_03]: And still is, yeah, even though there's murder, even though there's murder, there are a lot of troops that exist within the show, her show, Jenny and Georgia, that also exist within Gilmore Girls.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_03]: And that's inevitable, right?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: Because if you're writing a show about a young mother and her teenage daughter, and, you know, this mom does have some similarities to Lorelei in that, like, like you said, she's hot.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_03]: She's, you know, someone that people are drawn to, she has this magnetic quality to her in a very different way than Lorelei.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: But Georgia is very resilient.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: She's done a lot
- 7:16[SPEAKER_03]: in survival mode to keep her and her, keep her, her kids all safe and surviving.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: And so, you know, she obviously has history with
- 7:29[SPEAKER_03]: Ginny's dad with Austin's dad, so those people come back into play throughout the series.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_03]: If you haven't watched it yet, it's definitely a very fun watch.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's on Netflix.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm trying to, I'm trying to tease it without really getting into the nitty-gritty of it because we talked about it so much on Thursday.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm really excited about Gilmour to watch in general.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: There are so many watchables that we talk about, other pieces of television film that you and I talk about that.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think,
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: Gilmore Girls fans would love if they haven't already tapped in.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm really excited to do this as we go into fall, because I have some really great ideas for other movies, shows, et cetera, that we can chat about.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm really hoping a little TV and movie club.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm really hoping to bring on writers like Sarah in the future.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: But of course, access to TV writers, film writers, et cetera, is it not nearly as accessible as it is for
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: authors.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to play around with the format a little bit, but I was really, really excited that Sarah was the first.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like that's like a huge like first one because like that show was like so popular.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the top ten on Netflix right now.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: So, and it's just having someone who's show is compared to Gilmore girls is then like, I'm a Gilmore girls fan and it's not something where it's like, oh my gosh, I hate the show.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: I hate that I'm compared to the show.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: She feels honored.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: I love that.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: There's an honor there for her.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: She's like the fact that people are talking about my show in the same sentence as Gilmore Girls as someone who grew up watching Gilmore Girls.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_03]: Huge.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: So love that.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys haven't already, check out Jenny and Georgia.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: Even if you want to watch the first couple episodes before you listen to Thursday's episode, I think that it'll be great to kind of give you a base frame of what the show's about and the characters that play that we talk about.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_03]: And if not, you want to listen and we until you hear us chat until you watch the show.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: Great intrigue.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: But I think you guys are really like Sarah.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: She's fun.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: She's a theater girl.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: She's a writer.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: She gives a lot of insight to the current temperature of, you know, the entertainment climate when it comes to television and film and a lot of the things that we've been talking about for the last two years, especially since the sack after strike a couple of years ago.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_03]: So it was, it was just a really beautiful conversation.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm excited for y'all to listen.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm excited for you.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait to watch to start to blossom.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm excited that you have like your own venture, your own segment that's happening, because I remember when we asked our besties, like, what is Tara's Gilmore to read?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: And someone was like TV, and I was like, that's the one.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: There were definitely people, I think, who said Gilmore to watch?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, because we asked what that segment would be called.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: Don't know.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: I love TV and film.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's a medium that
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: I really want to work in, you know, in a long term way throughout my life.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm really excited to talk to screenwriters and producers.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: And even just yep, there might be episodes where I just talk just me.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm
- 10:32[SPEAKER_03]: I'm excited to get into it.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be a lot of fun.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be so fun.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to listen and I hope y'all listen.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be up first episode on Thursday again.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Sarah Lambert with P. I think it's going to be great.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: It is awesome.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very excited.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: Shall we get into some voicemails?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: Let's listen to some voicemails.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Bring rain.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: So it's our besties.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes it is.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_03]: So
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: I was really excited to go through these voicemails because I know that a lot of you called in about season seven and transparently there were so many voicemails about season seven and we've talked so much about it the last few weeks.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I don't think we can talk about season seven for a second because I feel
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: You're overwhelmed about season seven.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: I've talked about it so much.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about it.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: By the end seven content at the point of recording this, we still have more season seven content to release.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like there's just so much.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: There's just so much.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_03]: But what I also was realizing in kind of coming through the voicemails, I love, I say this every single time we recorded Gilmore to consider.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_03]: I love listening to your voicemails so much, even if we don't play them on
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: the show, just know like when we hear them, I mean, I just, oh, I love them so much.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's so great to hear from you guys.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but one of the things that I started reminiscing on this morning when I was going through these voicemails because I went further back.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_03]: I went like all the way back into like
- 11:59[SPEAKER_03]: fall of last year, earlier this year because we tend to kind of look at the ones that have just most recently come in because they're right there, but you know, going back is always a trip down memory lane because I remember what we were talking about at the time or like what episode topics we had, but it reminded me that this time last year we did the great rebrand.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: This is when we released our
- 12:22[SPEAKER_03]: Our rebrand that you all now know and hopefully love, we do.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully, hope so.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_03]: But it's hard to believe that a year ago we did our rebrand because recently we were, I don't know if I sent you this picture, but it came up when we were like a year since we had done our photo shoot for the rebrand.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, oh, I can't believe this was a year ago.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_03]: I posted it on a story.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, crazy.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_03]: Crazy to think that that's already been a year.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: Crazy to think it's been a year since we released this and that we also did our first in person recording session together at Spotify, which is when I think we did the great rebrand.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: No, what do we do?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: We did it.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: It was actually, I was at Mandy's house.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: Spotify, we did the like, trying to guess each other's answers.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we did the reveal of the rebrand at our live show in LA.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and then we recorded that last day.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: That makes so much sense.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: It was like the day of the rebrand release we were at Spotify.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it was.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_03]: We were wearing our bad girls t-shirts when we did the great rebrand.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: And we had to say you were in the first time it didn't work.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then Mandy and Chase were in the living room.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: I told them they had to be silent.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: And they were mad about it.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sorry guys.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry guys.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_02]: It worked out.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_03]: It was all fine.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_03]: But it had me reminiscing on our show, on our podcast.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why, like, around this time, we kind of tend to do more like very personal episodes.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: Last year was the great rebrand talking about, you know, the history of our show, how we've gotten to where we are.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think the year before we were kind of forced into it because of the sag after strikes, we had to do the like, have you ever, and I actually really loved that.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_03]: We kind of
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you haven't listened to it.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: We did a have you ever Gilmore Rolls edition.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_03]: So we kind of took scenarios from the show and put them into our own lives and talks about whether or not we had ever done a teen mom.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was when we both could not, uh, personally, a dog is a teen age or a dog mom.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's true.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that counts, but that's okay.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, there were a couple of voicemails that came in and they're from one is from Meg of this past year and the other is from September of last year.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: And especially as we've made our way speaking of season seven, we've made our way through the show.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_03]: We're now covering the revival on Patreon.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_03]: A lot has shifted, I think, in our perspective on certain things, certain characters as we've done our rewatch.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_03]: So to kind of honor the fact that we
- 15:00[SPEAKER_03]: got to the end of the original series of Gilmore Rose.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to play a couple of voicemails to kind of reflect on some of the things that have changed for you and for me.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: So our first voicemail is from our bestie, Natalie, and this is from May of twenty twenty five.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_03]: So a couple of months ago.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I was listening to my older episodes and I realized, you know, I talked about, I was listening to her, I talked about what it means beyond
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because I would look at that like he wants to be with Roy in the end game, which I can start with one of the ones who doesn't want to be mean by King, because Logan, I prefer Logan because I think Logan is better guy as the boyfriend as a guy, he's more stable and he's much more talented, obviously.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: But then, yes, he has like this, I mean, he is a perfect, he's not stable.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I don't think it would have worked out between the two of them, Rory and Dess, because he's pretty, I mean, he wasn't stable and he met, and Rory and Dess, not trying to figure out what he was doing in a reliable cell.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so, like, it was kind of, on the time of describe it, but, um, I think that Dess and Rory are like filmmakers, but I think I might have been good at it.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: And they're together, like, and then, because it's like,
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't the workout.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to do this to him all the way.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to do this to him all the way.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to do that.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's more stable and I think it would kill the happy with Logan and I think that'll provide better life.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so not only, okay, so I am talking over you because I feel like I'm about to be attacked.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: You're not about to be attacked.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you're not about to be attacked.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I just brought you here.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: I just brought you here.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Did you call Natalie's number?
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: We did not chat about those.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_03]: But I have brought you here today because I think we have to have a really serious conversation about the fact that I think your team just tapes.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excuse me.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: Quiet on set.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_03]: There's a thing, I really do think this is a valid question, because we've talked about this on the podcast before.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_03]: What is it taking on the question?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think so.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that's a question.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_03]: When you say, I'm teams so and so.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_03]: What does that mean?
- 17:39[SPEAKER_03]: Is that like, I'm team just for me, I'm team just for Lori, and I'm really curious as you've moved through this series, Logan has given you the Ick at the end, completely.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: And so, yeah, I want to know, like, how can we feel it?
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: And you literally call it my yucco.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: And so I want to know how you feel now being on team Logan, because I know you're still on team Logan.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: I know I made my just that you're on team Jess, but it's because it's just of Jess.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's just of Jess, but I feel like you have definitely started straddling the line between team Jess and team Logan more.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't believe you.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, here, here's, let me, if I could just, the thing, if you don't mind, uh, giving me the floor, um, what I would like to say is, I will always be Team Logan.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Always.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the rewatch on Patreon, Gilmore visited, has shown me that I am teen Logan in season five and six.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes to season seven, I have heard a lot of people say that that is where their teen Logan feelings like really burst through, that they feel like that's the best of him.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's because of what we've talked about before, where
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's relying on past seasons to really feel the relationship.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: It just feels like these like cutie moments surrounded by a little bit of random conflict that doesn't really make sense.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm thinking of the great stink.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like that's so cutie.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: But then we go later and there's this like weird conflict between them in New York where it's like she didn't know that the team was going to be there.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: She didn't know Bobby was a woman.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: because he never uses pronouns like that sort of thing but then that like completely goes away and it's not really anything at all so it's like almost he's like one shot fan fictions of like them being cutie but like not really because then when you look at the nitty gritty of Logan it's just
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: so average and like below average at various points where he's like being mean or like when he proposes to her he's such a loser like truly like when like we like when we get to the point of him showing up in uh
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: outside of me is wedding.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, I left my father's company when we really analyzed like the breakdown of what that meant for him.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: He left his father's company to figure out whatever mess he had made like on this like with this like idea in his mind that he was doing this like to save his pride or like he was doing this to walk away and finally be free.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, no, you're still leaving other people to clean up your messes.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: Stop being such a loser.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: and go do it yourself, like truly what a loser.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: And so I just, like when we get to like the proposal, it's like, okay, first of all, you're figuring out your life without me.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: And you were just gonna tell me about all these things after you proposed to me.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you know, those like little, um, I'm called Sunny Dolls, where you like, uh, don't know what doll you're getting inside of it.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: And you open it up and you're like, oh, it has a top hat.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's a starfish.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it felt, that's what I felt like.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to propose to me, you already bought it, but now you have to deal with what was inside of it.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what I felt like.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're proposing to me, but oh, I have an odd avocado tree, but oh, I have a job in San Francisco.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like she was just going to say, yeah, so that party that he didn't throw for her.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: And then go outside and be like, hey, I've got a job.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, we're moving to California.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so like, loser behavior.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: And then when we get to the revival, like, I don't fucking care when he answers the phone when his fiance is literally laying in the bed to be like, ah, a, like, I'm gonna help you out, like, Yoko.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yako behavior on behalf of both of them.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: But it's like, I can't as an adult watch that and be like, like, ten to my fifteen year old heart and be like, Oh my gosh, okay, and I love him.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like, no.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: Stop being such a loser.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: L is for loser.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: L is for Logan again.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_02]: So that's really high.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: Feel about him in general right now.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_02]: Not in general.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_02]: I like really cut it off at six.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like when he says those like parting lines to her like when she's crying and he has to go it just feels like we're about to get like this really tumultuous really intriguing long distance romance between the two of them that like we don't get.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and like he's just not
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: Every step of the way, he's like kind of ruining her friendships in season seven, like the whole thing with Marty and Lucy, and he like had to tell her, like you had to tell her right now, there's new friend that you just met of mine.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: You had to ruin this dinner for this.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: You couldn't have been like, hey, you really need to tell her.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, let me tell my friend.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many things that like as a third year old woman that like Logan doing, I'd be like, such Jacob behavior.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: The way that he yelled at her, I would have been gone.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: As I said on Patreon, I would have gone gold myself after that.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like, no.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely not.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: You don't get to talk to me like that and then you come back.
- 22:59[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: And be like two of great teeth, like particularly the bottom ones.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: Great teeth.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely not.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_03]: So where do you stand then?
- 23:09[SPEAKER_03]: I know that like it's really hard.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you sit then?
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: I know it is really hard, and I say that as someone who can own, like, just as not a good boyfriend.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: Just has Jaco behavior in season three to be honest with you.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly think that none of Jaco's behavior saved that, like, keg max moment.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: He says Jaco is Logan's.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's just the, like, benefit of being a teenage boy.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: has no real solid speaking of stable.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's no stability in his life.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't know where his next like I'm proud of you is going to come from if at all.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like he doesn't feel supported or stable as a teenager.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: And so I understand like it's like a miraculous that he wasn't even able to admit to Rory that like he wanted to spend time with her.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like so there is that element of it.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's like you can't excuse it.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: He is still kind of being awful.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: But like you can realize an empathize with his situation.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: If you give him more benefit of the doubt than you can, Logan, because Logan, those still young, is more of a grown adult.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_03]: And as we move into the revival, there are grown adults.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: Are they not?
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: But that's the thing is like, when he's in college, I don't mind him so much.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, to be fair, I'm team Logan when he's in college.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: It is when he's older, like, and he has a job, and he, like, then in the revival.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's when I'm like, you're a Yucco.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're making Yucco decisions.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: This is bad.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: These are just like, roast decisions.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'd say Yucco is, like, gross and bad and ugly.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm honest with the fact that you keep calling them Yucco's.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: I actually, that's what I used to call it.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: My sister's dog.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I used to call her Yucco.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: When she'd walk around, I'd say, Yucco's modern life.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: Not Yoko's modern life, I'm dead.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: So that sort of feels like it just feels like two Yoko's modern life is what the revival is.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: And so there's an element of it that it's just like frustrating because like when you look back in season two, you're like, oh, Jess is the bad boy.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a book in his back pocket.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: He stole her book to read it, but he had read it before.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so there's this element to it that it's like intriguing and cute and like that teen drama that I mean, not
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: that Gilmour Girls is not necessarily a team drama, but there's like intrigued to it.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a team jess at that point because I don't think he's the right person for me, but that's who I want me to be with at that time.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe I am a team jess in the early seasons because there's no Logan.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's off somewhere else, probably be in a yoko.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that's the right person for her.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like in the same way
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: Why did you drop out of Yale is the same kind of like introducing lower-life planetary and when Logan is like, you went to prep school, you go to Yale, you're grandparents about a whole damn an astronomy building in your name.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like that feels like that same vibe of like, I don't necessarily know that like, I could, the way that someone calls you out like that, that doesn't feel, I don't know, that feels friendly to me.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'd rather a friend call me like that, but not a partner.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: Not a partner.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: It does hurt a little bit more when you're a partner.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of calls you out like like, especially talking to me like that.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_02]: I would talk to you like that, but if Brett talked to you like that, be like, what a yako.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_03]: I will relay the message.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's a threat.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it is fine, but at that point I still want her to be a Logan.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: I still think the Logan's the right person.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: Especially when she like fucks Jess over and kisses him and he was like, I thought that everyone was, everything was fine.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's a gallant worry.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, for sure.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that they're writing you.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: The way he yells at her, and because we just rewatched this, uh, Bret and I were at, we just watched just like Gwen and Gavin.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_03]: We're about to get to Friday nights already for fighting, and I'm very excited.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_03]: But we just rewatched ballet, because just to kind of have like a little refresher, because we'd taken a little bit of time, like two months, basically, between watching the trio, the Holy Trinity and going into, uh,
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: He's lip and a bread, which he thought the tambourine guy was Joel was fucking hilarious.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: And glad.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, Peter and we're not into his tambourine Joel.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if he was necessarily into him.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: He just was like, with the fuck.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_03]: I love that guy.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_03]: And then we just watched just like when in Gavin.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: And when we were rewatching the fight, the why did you drop out of the aisle into Logan and worries by Ebert Manchew.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: He's kind of,
- 27:50[SPEAKER_03]: too much.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the point where Brett was like, what is happening right now?
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: Who is this?
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: Because it felt very out of character for him and very Yoko.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: It felt Yoko.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: I would say that like, worry equally so though, because suddenly she was like, this is your fault.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: You've been making these choices.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, but he was feel like she was like, this is your fault.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's how he took it.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: I do think a little bit she was like, that's all you do.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, all I do with you is dream.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: And he was like, if you don't want to do that, you don't have to.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so it did feel like after being yelled at by Jess, she was like, wait, who could I blame?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: This is kind of your fault, too.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: Because then he was like, no, I told you I was going to give you a month.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: You went beyond a month.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: Don't blame me for it.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that there was like,
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: He was saying it louder, so maybe, but the way he talked to her, too, I also don't want to be with him.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yoko.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yoko.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would have taken that as a breakup as well because I would have wanted to break up with you.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_03]: Right, for sure.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: Because she's like couples fight.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, yeah, but like that was pretty ugly.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, she is right when she says that to him and just like wanting to have it and when she's like, if you can't handle the drama, you shouldn't be in a relationship, which by the way, you're not.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, and I can't be mad later on.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, yeah, you're gonna eat your words in a couple episodes, but anyway, I want to check back in with you after summer and fall after we finish the revival on your just vibes.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I guess it would be interesting because at this point we haven't recorded summer, but I believe that summer will be released on time.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Patreon by the time that this comes out.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're on Patreon, you'll know.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: But that's the thing is, like, we've been waiting for Jess to show up.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like the first, like, name job of Jess, we were like, and so I think that.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: I love Jess as a character.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's like one of the best characters on Gilmore Girls.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: But if we're coming back to Natalie, if this whole rant about this loser yako, loser yako, Logan.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: The loser yako, Logan.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: Then
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not on team jazz because I don't think that they would be end game.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think they would get together and Chris and Laura lie themselves.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think that they could make a healthy partnership work and like support each other at the same time in the way that both of them needed to.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: Would they be the hottest couple in Star's Hollow fuck?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: Those two would have the most beautiful kids.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Logan and Warrior are also going to have the most beautiful kids.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: To be one hundred percent.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: They're just, they're just all beautiful people.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: What are we supposed to do?
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: How do we pick the hottest person of the hot people?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: There's too many of them.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's my love and to me.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, actually.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: That wasn't that hard of a question.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's true.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm not Team Jess.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: And at no point, am I Team Jess except for when I am Team Jess because there's no one else to be teamed for?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, whenever teenagers.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_03]: There's no one else to be teamed.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: I am Team Jess when they're teens.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: Team Team Jess.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: Before
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: They get together.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_03]: When someone, to kind of bring it back, you're on a team for who you think worry should end up with.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think that that's a team.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: Natalie, that's the answer to the question.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: Twenty minutes later.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_03]: To bring it back around because I did a TikTok about this.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just a lurk around TikTok and that's only like sporadic.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's only if I'm really bored and I would just want to see what's up.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: Or if I want to hear more information about a topic that I've like seen on line and I'm like, well, TikTok will now.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to find it for me.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Pull it out.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: I have like, I'm like have forced TikToks where like, Hannah will save them up and she's like, I have three.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let me show you and then she tries to sneak in a fourth and she's like, won't do more.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: Just one more.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: And they're all funny.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: She just sings them for me because she knows she can't send it to me.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I get that.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_03]: But I did do a TikTok about teams and what that means because there are a lot of people out there that are like, especially as we've gotten older.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, am I on a team for worried at this point?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_03]: Or am I on a team for myself?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think that there is a piece of us that's on a team for ourselves.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's about how that character made us feel.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, always about how that character made worry feel.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know what's really funny is, among Harry Kia, who was on the podcast in twenty three or twenty four for her book, Under the Girls.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: She has a book coming out this fall called Female Fantasy.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: And it is like this really gorgeous parallel story of like a girl who's obsessed with the fantasy novel.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: And like she's obsessed with the male character in this.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: and so it's like one chapter is the girl's life and then one chapter is a chapter from the fantasy novel so it switches back and forth so you like know what's happening in the story that she's obsessed with and it made me reflect on how we talk about teams because she is like so in love with this guy that she has decided that she is going to go find the guy that inspired the author to write this character because she feels like he's her soul mate because she's in love with the character weight I love that
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's literally so good.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of my favorite books I read this year.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: It comes out, I think, on October, fourteenth.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm so excited.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so excited.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: She's going to come back on the podcast to talk about it because she's a huge Gilmour call fan.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: But I really want to have this sort of conversation with her because it's that idea of like, what do you mean when you say, I'm team just for me?
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Because like, is it that idea of like,
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: Not you're not not marrying a gestopal ganger like do you know what I mean?
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's like the amount of people that are still commenting on this video.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, it's has like almost three million views and they're like girl you are with Jess Mariano and I'm yeah girl.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_03]: I am marrying Jess Marie
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: And what's so great in female fantasy is right because his name he's a merman.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like this real like fantasy level, but he can turn into a human.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's like a shifter.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, okay, it may be a little bit.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: It made me want to read the fantasy levels.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like can you give like a full like
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: full novel of just like the mermaid stories.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, but it's that idea of like, uh, what does it mean to you to be team jazz for yourself?
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: That you just find this that you're really like invested in this character.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: It has to be more than that though because I love jazz, but I'm not team just for me.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: But maybe I would be maybe I'd be team jazz adult and like, is it because you look for these qualities in a partner?
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, first of all, hot could probably pick me up over his head.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: reads, works at a printing press is supportive of his family despite his like childhood teenage tendencies.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, shows up for them now.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: You've watched him like work through his problems where he like paid back his uncle for
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: all of these things that like he put him through and like the ways that he supported him when he didn't necessarily feel like he was going to accept it.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, is it these things that we are looking for from a person in real life?
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why we're like, oh, I'm team this person.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: Or is it just as simple as like, if this person was real, that would be my boyfriend.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: If I was in this story, I would go chase after this person.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's probably all my might.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on bow.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's probably a combo.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that going back to what you said about tending to your fifteen-year-old self, like it's also about that because I think that when we were too young to really understand what healthy relationships looked like and what to seek out in a partner, we projected that fantasy onto characters like Jess Mariano, like Logan Huntsberger, and for some of us like Dean Forster, Luke Daines, you know, like we project our
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: Our once desires, et cetera, onto these characters, especially if we identified with, like, worry, whether we were the same age, we liked her character, whatever that may be.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think that, like, sometimes I have to tend to, like, my twelve-year-old heart a little bit.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: And because I just CBD player under the cover.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because I'm like, that's what you wanted.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: I love him.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's easier when you're a teenager to like kind of approach that like team for me because like you're not an age where you're not like you're twelve years old.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: You're not like dating seriously.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's not that's not on your cards for you then.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: But you were probably
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: watching movies where there's weddings or you've been to weddings and you're like, oh, I'm thinking about mine.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: What am I going to be like when I'm married at twenty two or six kids?
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: I guess you imagine your twenties to be when you're an infant, you know?
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: Am I putting Jess at the end of the aisle?
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: Just like in my mind because like a twelve, that's totally fine and completely normal.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_03]: words.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think that it's probably very different for everyone.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_03]: So I'd love to hear what our besties have to say about being on a team.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: I think we still, it's still the lines are a little blurry and I would love to kind of check in again about this after we finish watching it in the life because we don't just is on his way.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's on his way, but I think I have like a definitive answer about it, but I will wait until we are done with the revival just to check in truly with my heart of hearts to make sure that it's right.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Because I was gonna be, I was gonna end this conversation surrounding this voicemail with this idea, but I think I'm gonna wait because it's a big statement.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, I'm gonna lose her.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys aren't watching this on YouTube, you've missed out on a lot.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: You've missed out on a lot of hand gestures towards this man.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_03]: But right now, we're all PG-free.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_03]: This is very interesting.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a great bully.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, exactly.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_03]: You work quite literally.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you are.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: I will hold off on what I feel like team I ultimately land on as a thirty-two-year-old who has rewatched the show a million times, but it's rewatched it the way that we have so intensely.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: But I will say that season five and six, team Logan all the way, because I think he should end up with Roy.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with that.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with that.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with that up until Jess is returned when we see that like things are very different for him.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_03]: He's not the same guy.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: He was at the end of season four.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: So that part is like, we just don't know enough about him for me to like, jump ship.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: I got that.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: But I do.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: One hundred to me on team Jess.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, one hundred percent early season three.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna see how we feel, also when we do rewatch.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: When we do rewatch, yeah.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: But going back to what you said about like, there really wasn't another option in the early seasons.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_03]: It was just one of our listeners called in to comment on that about the team Dean of it all.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: So let's hear from our bestie Amanda Amanda.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, bestie.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_01]: This is Amanda and I am currently watching Cinnamon's Lake.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I have Dean's feelings that I made to express because here's a thing.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: When I first watched Gilmore Girls at like twenty for the first time, I really really liked Dean.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, that like face as the seasons go on, but a piece of me, like still loves him even though I know that he's like toxic and dysloia and all of the other things that we all hate about Dean.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know those things are true and I believe them.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I get such cutie vibes from Dean in season one.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I've like pegged what it is.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's about like Dean is who
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: We all wish we had like in high school as like our first crush.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is the guy, at least for me, that I would have luck to have.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's tall, he's so cute.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: He gets on the bus to ride with her just for, you know, like one stop, he makes her the cute little bracelet.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: He takes the time to meet her mom.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: He does all of these things, but if that had happened to me at sixteen years old, I would have been like, I am in love with you.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like, obviously he gets carried away with the intensity of it, and he does have a temper, and that's when he starts to lose us.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I think like a piece of me, just every time I rewatch the series, a piece of me just loves him because I would have loved to have had a guy that was like so smitten by me when I was sixteen years old.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: who wanted to make me every set and who you know hung around while I looked at books and I mean he reads some of her book recommendations early on like all of those little things I would have died for that stuff so it's like even though I know what being said
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like a piece of me, it just loves season one, Dean.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, before he yells at her in the car, I was saying I love you, but you know what I mean.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, I think people that are still team dean, and I'm not team dean, I'm really team Luke, but I think people who are team dean are caught up in the dean that we see early season one and how that would have felt.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: as a teenager to have a dean who's wrapping his arms around you at the dance and, you know, telling Louise to, you know, leave and stuff like that.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, that is my theory.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: I know we've talked in to death, but rewashings and then it's like I couldn't help, but...
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: call and tell you guys my thoughts.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening to my little ramble.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks Amanda.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks for calling in.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I know this voice mail came to us last fall.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_03]: This is from September of twenty twenty four.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: And some of these next voice mail will play in the next episode or also from fall of twenty twenty four, which I love because we're about to come up to go.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: But it was funny that you were talking about like, well, was there really another option?
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: There was no other option.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_03]: It's like we've talked about this that we get like QDD vibes at the beginning of the series because it's a beauty.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, okay.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: I have to say I agreed with everything Amanda said Amanda, you were like spot on and it
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: I did specifically say season two because when Jess comes on the scene, there is no one else.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: Totally.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: You're so right.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: That fucking chalk outline when he's looking across the street at her in the end and out's events and you like, she knows it's him and he knows that she knows that it's him and it's just like this moment.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: You're like up.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: Various.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: There we are man.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: But I do remember when we were watching season one and revisited in twenty twenty two.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: I was having a Sarah Desson summer so I was reading a lot of YA romance.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so I was seeing Dean doing all these things that just like are so cute.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: So cute.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like she was talking about like the bracelet.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, I'll make your bracelet Amanda.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, don't worry about it.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: Um, don't you worry Amanda.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: Don't you worry.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: But it's like like she's talking about he met her mom and like I did have like count your thoughts to some of the things she was saying like he needs her mom, but he's kind of um kind of rude.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_03]: We just live in for the to authority.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't do well.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_03]: He does not do well.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_03]: And he's also not great at not that this this becomes a teen bashing past.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but it could he.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like not
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: He has no respect for authority.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_03]: And I want to know so much more about Dean's home life than what we're told because like he has to have daddy issues in my opinion.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: Because the thing is is that like even when he meets Christopher, he has like daddy with his eyes.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_02]: Probably.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_03]: The way we phrase it.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: I hate that phrase because I do.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but like, you know, even with Luke, he has a problem.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like any time he meets
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: like Richard or Emily, it's just like, hi.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: And you kind of want to like, like, oh, maybe he's shy, but no, it's like he has a aggressive nature to it.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like when he says to Laura, like something on blinds, it's like my turn to speak.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: My turn to say in Kiss and Tell.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, whoa, what?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: You just showed up here.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_03]: She invited you.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_03]: We're rewatching.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_03]: We, of course, just rewatched Kiss and Tell for our next logo of Patreon.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_03]: And we were both like, oh,
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that is where Dean admittedly is kind of like, oh, okay.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_03]: So we already think you're a little aggressive.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, he is with her mom.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, he goes and shops with her for books, but he kind of does it with like, he's a little annoying to be fair.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_03]: It was like three hours.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: I would probably be annoyed as well.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's like you can't even get me a lemonade.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sitting here with your books.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, I'm, I'm to hydrogen.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: So like I get it, but I think that it's one of those things that we kind of relating to what we were talking about before of like, I think that this being like team dean, team dean for you or team dean for Rory, I think in season one, it's honestly the same thing for me.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like I feel like he is a really good first
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: boyfriend for to somebody because it's like he's really nice he's really attentive like he does get her the bracelet and he like kind of lets her sneak around a little bit without like her mom really knowing about it and uh he accepts movie night and i think there's like so many elements of him that fit
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: who she is like she's transitioning to a new school but he keeps her rooted in the town.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: Also it's like a plot device like in the narrative to like keep her rooted and stars hollow beyond her mom.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah but if we're going back to that idea of like team Dean for me like that self insertion moment where I was talking about with a mom's book female fantasy it's like one hundred percent if a boy was like hey I saw you reading
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: You always love that part.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: I would die dead.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: He wouldn't have a chance to have a girlfriend because I would die dead.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just like, see, that's me.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: I would die dead.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: I would die dead.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: I would be dead before I died.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know?
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: And that he would stand there and carry your books.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he'd be a bit grumbly about it, but he's still, he's not leaving.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of think Jess would just be like, bye.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's there.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: He builds her a car.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: He does get mad about the eye love you so like.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: Also a teenager.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like no one can handle their emotions that much.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: But he does come back around.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's very intense.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: And arms are teenagers.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: He can be intense.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: I was a very intense teenager.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: So like that's what I'm talking about before two that you were a teen teen.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_03]: I was a bit of a teen teen.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: I had very, very big emotions, and I had no idea how to handle them.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_03]: And that's a lot of wonderful stories early on in Patreon, unlike your teenage years.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: I remember specifically, Sour Patch Kids came up.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: You guys want to go round about to season two on Gammory Visited.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: Tara, tell us some great teenage stories.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_03]: I sure do.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but I think that's the reason why I softened on Dean a little bit compared to how I was to kind of bring it back around to the theme of this episode.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's like how things have changed on our podcast, where like you were very hard and fast team logo and like yeah.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_03]: Season seventeen Logan also and now it's like after us rewatching it's like, oh wow.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: We have a lot.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_03]: a lot of different thoughts kicking around and same with dean.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's like I really softened on him while we rewatched and I thought it was really good that we went through it with a fine tooth comb and like really discussed and dissected how we felt about it because it's very different than just watching it for like pure enjoyment or watching it in the background or watching it from the frame of mind that are young little teenage hearts.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's it is different, but like you can still keep that nostalgia while also remembering you're a thirty two year old woman.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: one hundred percent, you know, like, and I honestly feel like at this point, we need to everyone sucks.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: T. Dean sucks, Logan sucks, Jess sucks, like, and I think the reason they do, they all kind of do.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody does at some point.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: And we have more to say about that at some point.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's true.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I have more to say on that with a voice mail, we're going to play in our next episode.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: But I do think that
- 48:59[SPEAKER_03]: The reason that I really hurt so hard on Dean was because everybody framed him as this like perfect glowing angel first boyfriend.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_03]: Nice guy.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: Because even Amy said that he was the nice guy.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: Sheila said that he was the nice guy.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: He was the perfect boyfriend.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_03]: And there is I know that that was the intention they wrote him with.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_03]: And for a while that was true.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and even Amanda just spoke to that.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it was the ideal first boyfriend for a lot of us who didn't have like, lower life speaks to this.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like some of us have first boyfriend's like Brian Hutchins and it's not
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: Ideal.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_03]: Dean does meet a lot of the qualities of an ideal perfect first boyfriend until he doesn't.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's why I'm so hard on him.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: We first started this podcast is because I was like, he is not look at all like the ugly things he does.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_03]: And then that just kind of awesome.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, go things.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yoko.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_03]: This episode has been brought to you by Yoko.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: By Yoko's.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to be a Yoko.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's okay.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes we're all little.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes we're all little yako.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I have a voicemail that I'm so excited to play for you in our next episode.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_03]: That speaks to that.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_03]: But, Steve's to yako?
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: Speaks to like everybody being kind of a yako.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, okay.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I was really excited to kind of reminisce on some things that have changed for us since we first started this podcast.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like, yeah, you've really softened on this idea of like Logan having done no wrong.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I've saw it.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's I never felt I was just like, I know you've taken to it.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: I really, I really, I really harped on that in the beginning that I was like, no, faultless, flawless.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Beautiful.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: Remember when we had to put flaws in with like stars like we just said.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I think it was false because I put too many letters for flowers.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, but also really softened on the idea that Dean like could do nothing right.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: And so it feels really cool to like reminisce on that.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: I have more to say on that at a later day once we finish the revival because I don't think my opinion's going to change, but I also thought at the beginning of my opinion was also not going to change about other things that it changed on.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: We've got two episodes left to record, which is oops.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, balloons, which is four parts, which is four B caps.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm excited to get into summer and fall.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be really good.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: At this point, I do think at least one part of summer has error, if not two.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I'm excited to really get into the last couple of bits of year in the life before we kick it in reverse.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll tell you guys more about what we're doing with our new leg of Patreon, which I'm so excited to share with you.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, it's going to be so much fun.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll share that with you in a couple of weeks once we've kind of really wrapped up.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_03]: go more revisited and the real world.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_03]: But we have I know it's the end of an era it is the end of an era and I I don't think like that's hit me yet.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't think that's hit me.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just like, yeah, we're just going to keep doing it forever and ever and ever and ever and ever
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_03]: He looks at me this real the other day that was like um, or was it a post that was just like it was a real and what did it say?
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: It was something like uh
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: the person that you bring with you, like you win ten million dollars if the person that you're with starts singing unpromptedly like over the course of this day.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: Who is it?
- 52:38[SPEAKER_03]: You bring and you you send it to me and said you'd bring me.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think I said I'd bring me.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_02]: I bring me.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_03]: Also, before we sign off, I wanted to just point out that if you're with us on YouTube, you can't fully see it, but Haley has finally hung up the, oh my gosh, the picture I got for her.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_03]: And I noticed it was in the background to the other day.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, I love that picture.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_03]: I had found this, I don't know if we've ever showed them on YouTube.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_03]: Have we?
- 53:12[SPEAKER_03]: Now I don't think so.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_03]: I found this, you can kind of see it in the corner if you're on YouTube.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_03]: You want to take it down?
- 53:19[SPEAKER_03]: Speaking of Logan, speaking of our lore, it was written in the stars.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_03]: I found that right after we started the podcast, and famously, our podcast was supposed to be called written in the stars, and then we scrapped it, thank God.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm obsessed with the way you're holding this right now.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: I just wanted to be seen.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: You want to be seen?
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: But also.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's great.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's great.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_03]: They've seen it.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: They got it.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: But it says it was written in the stars.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_03]: It was very midnight.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_03]: And I wanted to give it to you.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's really midnight.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: But I love it.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's perfect.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm glad it has.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, look at that.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_03]: It looks great.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_03]: She did give it to me two years after she bought it.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's true.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_03]: I give it to a really long time after I bought it.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_03]: But it's still sentimental.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I loved reminiscing on our early days or early ideals of this podcast and of Gilmore Girls.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: Did I have a change?
- 54:14[SPEAKER_03]: My, how they've changed.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_03]: So next week's episode is going to be another general Gilmore to consider.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_03]: I have some really fun voice melons.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm excited to play.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll have more to say on that in the next episode.
