- 0:12Speaker 2: Well with us right now.
- 0:13Speaker 3: The finest columnist in America, Michael Goodwin. You can read
- 0:17Speaker 3: his column in the New York Post every Sunday and
- 0:19Speaker 3: every Wednesday, or you just go to the New York
- 0:21Speaker 3: Plus website. All of his columns are up there. Michael Goodwin,
- 0:24Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark, Thank you a.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Great column about uh that Weasley Doctor Anthony Fauci. What
- 0:34Speaker 3: do you think his reputation is now?
- 0:37Speaker 2: I think it's shot. I think it's gonna be very hard.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It's not impossible to recover the standing and almost unanimous
- 0:48Speaker 1: support that he had then, and also the trust to right,
- 0:52Speaker 1: the trust and the medical opinions, and also the personality right.
- 0:58Speaker 1: He had a kind of cult personality also, But as
- 1:03Speaker 1: we know now thanks to Rand Paul, the Senator from
- 1:07Speaker 1: Kentucky taut.
- 1:09Speaker 2: He had a double life. In his diary, he was saying.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Something very different from what he was saying publicly, and
- 1:19Speaker 1: he was His reputation for brilliant brilliance is shattered by
- 1:25Speaker 1: the fact that he was dumb enough to write his
- 1:28Speaker 1: diary on government computers, which is why it's now public
- 1:33Speaker 1: and he's not getting paid for that.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, he kept claiming to be a scientist.
- 1:39Speaker 3: What kind of scientist thinks you can just hit the
- 1:40Speaker 3: lead and it's gone. It's still there on a service somewhere.
- 1:44Speaker 3: And that's how the Justice Department was able to get it.
- 1:47Speaker 3: RFK Jr. Went on the hunt for it and they
- 1:50Speaker 3: got it. And what kind of grown man keeps a
- 1:54Speaker 3: diary like that?
- 1:57Speaker 2: A man taken with himself.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And I think that's the downfall of Anthony Bauci is
- 2:05Speaker 1: that this great tragedy of the pandemic that we should
- 2:11Speaker 1: never forget Mark took over more than one point one
- 2:16Speaker 1: million American lives. We know what it did to the
- 2:21Speaker 1: country as a whole, with businesses and students by going
- 2:25Speaker 1: to school, businesses closed, all kinds of lives changed forever
- 2:31Speaker 1: by the shutdowns. And here we are, still these years later,
- 2:38Speaker 1: trying to figure out with some degree of certainty what
- 2:43Speaker 1: caused it. And that's what tripped Fauci up. He denied
- 2:49Speaker 1: that it was a lab leak, even though we know
- 2:54Speaker 1: now from his diary that he was far from certain
- 2:58Speaker 1: about that. He was honest in his diary and dishonest publicly.
- 3:05Speaker 3: So, but you think anything will happen to talk to
- 3:08Speaker 3: the ball sorts of lawsuits? Florida Attorney general is going
- 3:11Speaker 3: to go after him, But do you think anything to
- 3:13Speaker 3: come of that? He'll just take the fifth everywhere, won't he?
- 3:17Speaker 2: I guess.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I mean, it'll be interesting to see if that pardon
- 3:21Speaker 1: was Joe Biden extended to him on Biden's a very
- 3:25Speaker 1: last day in office.
- 3:27Speaker 2: And we know about the auto pen right.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But you know the question is is there a state
- 3:34Speaker 1: law that would be not covered by the pardons? Would
- 3:40Speaker 1: there be some crime that Florida, for example, as you cited,
- 3:45Speaker 1: could could follow a charge against him that would not
- 3:48Speaker 1: be blocked upon the federal pardon.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So that remains to be seen.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But just even that we're discussing that shows how far
- 3:59Speaker 1: the focus has moved from what it was not so
- 4:04Speaker 1: long ago.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we're telling Michael Goodwin the left always, the Democrats,
- 4:09Speaker 3: they always build somebody up, they create some god that
- 4:12Speaker 3: they worship it, you know, Fauci or Cuomo. But they
- 4:16Speaker 3: they always pick the wrong people. Why don't they ever
- 4:18Speaker 3: learn their lessons?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Well, because the only criteria for their choice is you
- 4:25Speaker 1: have to hate Donald Trump.
- 4:27Speaker 2: You have to you have to be the anti Trump.
- 4:30Speaker 2: And you know, Mark, that's why I.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Large this column to reflect the fact that what we
- 4:38Speaker 1: now know about Fuci because there's diaries, is another example
- 4:45Speaker 1: of how the media has failed America in these lasts,
- 4:49Speaker 1: in this whole tromp era, go back to twenty sixteen
- 4:53Speaker 1: and twenty seventy. Here the Russian asset, right, the FDI,
- 4:58Speaker 1: James call me, Barack Obamba, Susan Rice, the guys at
- 5:03Speaker 1: the CIA, all of them conspiring to help Hillary Clinton
- 5:10Speaker 1: win the election with the phony Russian Dosier, right, none
- 5:17Speaker 1: of it confirmed. So you have all these things, and
- 5:21Speaker 1: of course you have the Biden attempts to prosecute Trump
- 5:28Speaker 1: and all of that, and of course the fact that
- 5:31Speaker 1: there is no real media coverage of that that Biden
- 5:35Speaker 1: was calling the shots, telling the FDI and the Justice
- 5:40Speaker 1: Department to charge Trump. So all of these things and
- 5:46Speaker 1: here we go. I mean, he continues until this very day.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Fauci was the anti Trump.
- 5:51Speaker 2: He hero.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And that's what the media has always seized on. Who
- 5:55Speaker 1: is the anti Trump tyro? It was Hillary Clinton, It
- 5:59Speaker 1: was Rock Obey as Joe Biden was Kamala Harris, you'd
- 6:03Speaker 1: look and look at this one person after another who
- 6:07Speaker 1: has exalted simples for being the anti Trump.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. Hey, the twenty fifth anniversary of nine
- 6:15Speaker 3: to eleven, Mom Donnie insists he will be there. What
- 6:19Speaker 3: is he thinking? Doesn't he realize the families will turn
- 6:21Speaker 3: their back on him? Why does he insist on being there?
- 6:27Speaker 1: You know, my I'm hoping he will have second thoughts
- 6:33Speaker 1: about that, because I think if it does go as
- 6:37Speaker 1: you're say, and I think that's likely, it will be
- 6:41Speaker 1: a kind of permanent stain on him, much as when
- 6:45Speaker 1: the police officers turn their backs on Bill de Blasio.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I think he can argue that the Blasio.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Never recover from that, and it was a real division
- 6:56Speaker 1: between city Hall and the NYPD.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And I think that for.
- 7:03Speaker 1: The current mayor, I don't think he cares about what
- 7:08Speaker 1: his critics think or say. I think everything for him
- 7:12Speaker 1: is politics. He's going to be mayor a's in some
- 7:17Speaker 1: huge event. He's going to be mayor for during and
- 7:19Speaker 1: a half more years, and he's going to keep playing
- 7:24Speaker 1: to his base. And if he has to go down,
- 7:28Speaker 1: to go down in flames trying to change New York
- 7:32Speaker 1: and make it a socialist, anti submitted, anti capitalism city.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah, so politics, what's his goal? Does he want to
- 7:41Speaker 3: be He can't be president unless they change the law.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Does he want to be the Senator? What is he
- 7:44Speaker 3: really up to long term?
- 7:47Speaker 2: That's a good question. I don't know. I don't know
- 7:49Speaker 2: that he knows.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't know that he has a plan in that sense.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I mean, he's so young, So I think of any
- 7:57Speaker 1: thirty year old, thirty four year old, I mean thinking
- 8:01Speaker 1: of herself or myself. I know, my life as it
- 8:06Speaker 1: was then is what it is now. I didn't foresee that.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I didn't necessarily plan that. You kind of live and
- 8:13Speaker 1: you go on. I think he will discover more about
- 8:17Speaker 1: himself and hopefully at some point he will wise up
- 8:22Speaker 1: and realize that he has failed New York in fundamental ways.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
- 8:31Speaker 2: No, I'm not.
- 8:33Speaker 3: You got to give him credit. That's an amazing accomplishment
- 8:36Speaker 3: to get yourself elected mayor of New York at thirty
- 8:39Speaker 3: four and you've never held a job in your life.
- 8:41Speaker 3: That is a pretty stunning thing to pull off, isn't it.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:45Speaker 1: I mean, look, whether it's a scam, what's a partially use.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I mean then nepo baby. He's never had a job,
- 8:53Speaker 1: as you say, never really worked, no experience, and yet
- 8:59Speaker 1: he had the kind of measmerized I called the pied
- 9:03Speaker 1: piper of the socialists, right that they all lined up
- 9:08Speaker 1: behind him, so many Democrats, so many young people.
- 9:12Speaker 2: And when you look, I mean it's not just a fiction.
- 9:15Speaker 1: When you look at the turnout in the mayor's race,
- 9:19Speaker 1: I mean it firstly doubled what has been the norm
- 9:23Speaker 1: for a couple of decades. So more than two million
- 9:26Speaker 1: people voted, which hadn't happened from I think the first
- 9:32Speaker 1: David Dinkin's Rudy Giuliani election back in nineteen eighty nine.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So it was quite a turnout, quite a seat in
- 9:40Speaker 1: that he was able to do that. He's clearly gained
- 9:44Speaker 1: momentum around the state and his movement, of which he is,
- 9:48Speaker 1: as say, the pied Piper, is gaining ground around the country.
- 9:55Speaker 1: And that's what so much about politics are dominated by
- 9:59Speaker 1: is plighting back against a socialist takeover.
- 10:06Speaker 3: But you got to read Michael Goodwin's Calm. It's a
- 10:08Speaker 3: great column and you can read them every Sunday every Wednesday.
- 10:12Speaker 3: In the New York Post. All of his columns are
