- 0:35Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Thursday already June eighteenth, as we're almost finished with the
- 0:41Speaker 3: week and tomorrow being Friday. Head you Booker is still

- 0:51Speaker 3: Neil ever thinner?
- 0:53Speaker 1: Neil?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Actually you are looking thinner?
- 0:56Speaker 1: I can you know?
- 0:56Speaker 2: It's sus there and you're only what a week and
- 0:58Speaker 2: a half two weeks out?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Well, here's the deal. You take the stairs, you manage
- 1:02Speaker 1: your portions, and you spend tens of thousands of dollars
- 1:07Speaker 1: to have a surgeon tell your guts in a knock
- 1:09Speaker 1: that's why.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that helps a lot. How much how much jo
- 1:12Speaker 2: weay have you lost?
- 1:12Speaker 1: Oh? I don't know. I wait in it to twenty
- 1:16Speaker 1: eight this morning and I went in to the hospital
- 1:19Speaker 1: at about two fifty five or so.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Wow, you're almost yeah, Wow, you're you're almost at what
- 1:26Speaker 3: thirty pounds now somewhere? Give her take all right, it's
- 1:31Speaker 3: gonna take a while. Oh yeah, it's gonna take another
- 1:33Speaker 3: week and a half. That's right, it goes, It goes
- 1:35Speaker 3: pretty quickly. Okay, Heather in Good morning twenty and Cono
- 1:41Speaker 3: always here. Yep, there's Cono warning there is the infamous.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Will Cole Striverer. Good morning, sir. Do I look at that?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Pardon?
- 1:48Speaker 1: Do I look center? No? Not even a little bit. Wow.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Matter of fact, you're wearing the U.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Is it the black T shirt?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Black?
- 1:56Speaker 3: Leave?
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, you should wear pearls because black goes whatever everything.
- 2:00Speaker 2: And you, I'll tell you what would I think it would.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Help your situations? Sometimes? Well, I'm the only one that
- 2:08Speaker 1: speaks fluid handle for thirty years, and sometimes I don't
- 2:13Speaker 1: get it. My translator breaks.
- 2:16Speaker 3: You have broke him up, and there goes Anne. Good morning, Anne,
- 2:21Speaker 3: good morning. Okay, I got everybody's name correct. I just
- 2:24Speaker 3: I listened to that segment, Heather, that you were doing
- 2:26Speaker 3: about filling in who would fill in for who? Some
- 2:29Speaker 3: of them were pretty good, some were not. George Carlin,
- 2:34Speaker 3: you know, George Carlin used to be a fan of
- 2:36Speaker 3: this show. He and I I had each other cell
- 2:39Speaker 3: numbers and he would call me and I would call him,
- 2:42Speaker 3: and it was pretty neat. And I won't say we
- 2:45Speaker 3: became closer friends or a name, but acquaintances.
- 2:48Speaker 4: But that's really cool. He's so smart, like he was
- 2:51Speaker 4: so smart and.
- 2:52Speaker 1: He was amazing.
- 2:53Speaker 2: And then I once asked him.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I interviewed him a bunch of times, and I once
- 2:57Speaker 3: asked him because he would do these HBO specials, not
- 3:01Speaker 3: the Netflix specials in those days, and he would do them,
- 3:04Speaker 3: I don't know, once a month and I and I
- 3:07Speaker 3: asked him any fresh material every time? And they go
- 3:11Speaker 3: an hour hour and a half sometimes, And I asked him,
- 3:15Speaker 3: you know, how is it that you find, you know,
- 3:18Speaker 3: go out and you find hour and a half of
- 3:20Speaker 3: new material those you find that difficulty goes.
- 3:22Speaker 1: No, my problem is winn wining it down.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, my problem is bringing it down to an
- 3:27Speaker 3: hour and a half.
- 3:28Speaker 1: That's not normal, right, Heather, For I don't a comic.
- 3:32Speaker 4: You know, I think when some people are really creative
- 3:35Speaker 4: and they have that flow where they're just writing and
- 3:38Speaker 4: they've got all of these ideas, and you know, I
- 3:40Speaker 4: think some people are truly gifted in that way, but
- 3:43Speaker 4: that is not the norm. Most comics have to really
- 3:46Speaker 4: you know.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I know because you're a stand up. But he would
- 3:49Speaker 3: you talk about writing. He would write twenty four hours
- 3:54Speaker 3: a day. He'd come up with something. He'd be at
- 3:56Speaker 3: a restaurant, grab a napkin and make a note on that. Yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 3: he said he had shoe boxes full of notes that.
- 4:04Speaker 3: It's just a question of figuring out.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what great comics do. They're always thinking, always like,
- 4:09Speaker 4: oh that's a bit. Oh, I could write on that,
- 4:10Speaker 4: and they'll jot something down and then go back to
- 4:12Speaker 4: it later and say there's something there. I think the
- 4:14Speaker 4: challenge would be willing it down to the eight or
- 4:17Speaker 4: nine minute segments that we have that comedians would have
- 4:20Speaker 4: to do. That would be a hard, hard thing to do.
- 4:22Speaker 4: But almost every call that we got or every talkback
- 4:25Speaker 4: we got today was a comedian. People were asking for
- 4:28Speaker 4: different comedians to come in and be fill in hosts.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 3: The only thing I've ever asked for is to fill
- 4:35Speaker 3: in for Jesus on Sunday. I've always wanted to do
- 4:39Speaker 3: a fill in for Jesus, and like when Jesus on vacation,
- 4:43Speaker 3: I don't know if you go to church a lot,
- 4:46Speaker 3: but generally the pastor the priests will bring up obviously
- 4:51Speaker 3: during the sermon will bring up something from the Bible,
- 4:54Speaker 3: and I can't wait for him, the pastor, to say,
- 4:58Speaker 3: you know, Jesus is off today, and so what I'd
- 5:01Speaker 3: like to do is share with you.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Never Mind, you realized that.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Somebody did call in and say that they want ala
- 5:09Speaker 4: Akbar to fill in for Jesus.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Oh no, I don't know who Allabar is. God right, Well,
- 5:17Speaker 2: yeah it is, but.
- 5:19Speaker 4: They misunderstood it.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But they ab Yes, that's exactly what you say just
- 5:25Speaker 2: before you.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Blow your life saying I want God bless you to
- 5:27Speaker 1: fill in. Yes, that's that's correct. The other way, here's
- 5:31Speaker 1: another name I'm going to drop. I was am seeing
- 5:35Speaker 1: an event in.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Which Robin Williams was doing the comedy, and so I
- 5:42Speaker 3: may I meet him in the green room. He had
- 5:44Speaker 3: no idea who I was. I had no idea. Oh
- 5:45Speaker 3: I knew who he was. Anyway, we're just talking. There's
- 5:48Speaker 3: nobody else in there, and we were talking and I said,
- 5:51Speaker 3: so how long are you going to be up there?
- 5:53Speaker 3: It goes about twenty minutes, is what I figure. And
- 5:57Speaker 3: I said, how long.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Can you go?
- 5:58Speaker 3: It doesn't matter, twenty minutes, forty minutes, and hour or
- 6:00Speaker 3: ten minutes, whatever they want. And so I said, and
- 6:04Speaker 3: I asked him, so do you do? You take your
- 6:06Speaker 3: material and you figured out in ten twenty minute segments?
- 6:10Speaker 3: He goes, No, I have no idea what I'm going
- 6:12Speaker 3: to say until I walk in front of the microphone,
- 6:15Speaker 3: completely spontaneous, no idea what he's going to say.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Did you guys do cocaine together?
- 6:21Speaker 3: No, we did not. And then there are a few
- 6:24Speaker 3: other things we didn't do together. Because I'm still here,
- 6:26Speaker 3: all right, we'll leave that one alone.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Why no, you did not just do that.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I didn't, Bill.
- 6:34Speaker 4: I even complimented you earlier to somebody, and then you
- 6:37Speaker 4: have to say that.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't understand that compliment. By the way I
- 6:40Speaker 1: was listening, Heather, she always enjoyed the show when you're
- 6:43Speaker 1: on it. I did not.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I was just trying not to make it seem like
- 6:45Speaker 4: I was throwing Bill under the bus in that way.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So Bill lives under the bus.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Okay, all right, guys, are you ready to do it?
- 6:53Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 6:54Speaker 2: We're ready to do it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Here we go, It's time for Handle on the newsh
- 6:59Speaker 3: with Heather Neil and me lead story.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Well, the deal is.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Done, sort of memorandum understanding has been signed by the
- 7:11Speaker 3: President and the Iranian president, not together, not looking at
- 7:14Speaker 3: each other, separate signings. And it's a lot of controversy
- 7:18Speaker 3: going on. I mean, Trump is being ripped into for
- 7:22Speaker 3: cutting a bad deal, and I'm going to explore that
- 7:25Speaker 3: a little bit later on at seven o'clock. And I
- 7:28Speaker 3: think there are two sides of that coin. But I
- 7:30Speaker 3: think the general consensus, other than true Trump believers, is
- 7:36Speaker 3: this Iran got the better end of this deal. It
- 7:39Speaker 3: seems to be if you look at it objectively, and
- 7:42Speaker 3: the good end we received, as the world received as
- 7:47Speaker 3: Iran promised never to have a nuclear weapon.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But they've been promising that for twenty years.
- 7:53Speaker 3: They promised that at the UN three years ago in
- 7:57Speaker 3: a speech, they promised that to President Obama in twenty fifteen,
- 8:02Speaker 3: and so and the word even says it reffeed. The
- 8:06Speaker 3: language of the memorandum reaffirms its commitment to never have
- 8:12Speaker 3: a bomb, and then the rest of it is, Man,
- 8:15Speaker 3: they got a lot, and so.
- 8:17Speaker 2: We'll talk more about that later on.
- 8:19Speaker 3: There's and even some Republicans are ripping into him on
- 8:22Speaker 3: this one.
- 8:23Speaker 4: All right, ellast city council move forward with a package
- 8:26Speaker 4: of potential revisions to the city's constitution. One of them
- 8:31Speaker 4: could move towards giving non citizens the right to vote
- 8:34Speaker 4: in city elections, and that's going to be pretty controversial.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, to say the least.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Well, this has been going on for a while city elections,
- 8:42Speaker 3: which does the city have a right to do that? Yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 3: well it's going to be, you know, a fight. Obviously,
- 8:48Speaker 3: someone is going to hit it in court. But I
- 8:51Speaker 3: don't know, you know, voting is is citizenry. To me,
- 8:56Speaker 3: the vote is to be a US citizen and I
- 8:59Speaker 3: don't see how you git around that now.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Well, no, not in terms of local elections.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Local elections.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I believe the city Council may do that, but it's
- 9:06Speaker 3: going to reach a point. You because La because California
- 9:10Speaker 3: is so damn liberal, is so pro undocumented folks. I'm
- 9:16Speaker 3: willing to bet that at some point there will be
- 9:19Speaker 3: a emotion introduced that American citizens cannot vote. Did you
- 9:24Speaker 3: in a city election only illegal aliens would be allowed
- 9:28Speaker 3: to vote?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Did you hear about that small California town that the
- 9:35Speaker 1: the city council. Three of them were voted out in
- 9:41Speaker 1: a recall, and they voted on the city council to
- 9:44Speaker 1: stay after they were vote after they were voted out, Yes,
- 9:50Speaker 1: to keep their job. Why not? God bless them all? Right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: doubt is up, as Handle would say, Oh my gosh,
- 9:57Speaker 1: those were Oh no, those are all Democrats.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yes, you know how I often talk about how crazy
- 10:03Speaker 3: Republicans are when it comes to President Trump, that his
- 10:07Speaker 3: supporters back him up even if there was video of
- 10:10Speaker 3: him having sex with two kangaroos in an ardvark and
- 10:14Speaker 3: not even a consenting adult ardvark. There's nothing he can
- 10:17Speaker 3: do wrong, right, So let me give you the other
- 10:19Speaker 3: side of the coin on this one. Okay, I'm watching
- 10:23Speaker 3: CNN as I do with Fox and everything else on
- 10:25Speaker 3: my monitors in the studio, and there was a poll
- 10:29Speaker 3: of Democrats that has just been released, and the question
- 10:34Speaker 3: is which president do you most admire? For presidents were
- 10:42Speaker 3: noted and asks which one of these do you most admire?
- 10:45Speaker 3: FDR five percent of the Democrats admire FDR the most,
- 10:52Speaker 3: JFK six percent admire JFK the most, Abraham Linc and
- 11:00Speaker 3: five percent Barack Obama. Sixty four percent most admire Barack
- 11:07Speaker 3: Obama as opposed to five percent that admire Abraham Lincoln
- 11:13Speaker 3: the most. Okay, crazy times have come, thank you very much.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Not that Barack Obama. I think he was a pretty
- 11:22Speaker 3: good president, you know, as you one of the greatest.
- 11:25Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. But Abraham Lincoln.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Well, what was the age of the people polled?
- 11:31Speaker 1: Like?
- 11:31Speaker 3: It didn't say it just said Democrats said that. It
- 11:34Speaker 3: didn't go into the minutia.
- 11:37Speaker 4: But that's what I would The only thing I could
- 11:39Speaker 4: think of is if it was younger people. Maybe that's
- 11:41Speaker 4: why it was you that way, because a lot of
- 11:42Speaker 4: younger people aren't like, oh, FDR was the best.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Well let's remove FDR. Let's remove FDR. Let's and let's
- 11:49Speaker 3: remove JFK. Okay, that's off the table. Okay, I get that.
- 11:53Speaker 3: In terms of age, as far as Abraham Lincoln or
- 11:55Speaker 3: Barack Obama, that's recent enough. So that's that's not the
- 12:01Speaker 3: nuts because but that just shows just how crazy all
- 12:05Speaker 3: of this is. I mean, none of this makes sense unfortunately. Okay,
- 12:10Speaker 3: moving on, let's continue on with handle on the news
- 12:14Speaker 3: with Heather and Neil and me.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oh sorry, that's me all right. The price increase is unavoidable,
- 12:25Speaker 1: So says Apple CEO Tim Cook. He was talking to
- 12:28Speaker 1: the Wall Street Journal and he says, the prices are
- 12:32Speaker 1: just going to go up on the products. There's nothing
- 12:34Speaker 1: you can do right now because the rising cost of
- 12:38Speaker 1: memory chips and storage, the insatiable demand apparently is from
- 12:45Speaker 1: AI companies, and it's just driving the cost of memory
- 12:49Speaker 1: and storage chips sky high. So when it comes to
- 12:54Speaker 1: RAM random access memory, it's called they're calling it Ramageddon
- 13:01Speaker 1: with the industry because it's getting so costly to get
- 13:04Speaker 1: this memory and storage in chips that it's just going
- 13:09Speaker 1: to go up. And you know, Apple's expensive as it is.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, did you read his quote about Apple?
- 13:15Speaker 3: Tim Cook directly said, if you think Apple products are
- 13:19Speaker 3: expensive now, you ain't seen nothing yet.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I thought was an interesting I thought it was an
- 13:24Speaker 2: interesting quote from anything.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Oh. I think he went to school. I think he's educated.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I think he went to school. Okay, think he said that.
- 13:31Speaker 1: He actually didn't say.
- 13:32Speaker 4: That, all right. Sad story out of New York. A
- 13:37Speaker 4: teenager has died after being thrown to the ground from
- 13:40Speaker 4: a carriage horse. We were just talking about New York
- 13:42Speaker 4: City carriage horches yesterday and Apparently an eighteen year old
- 13:46Speaker 4: fell off the horse when the carriage horse bolted away.
- 13:50Speaker 4: The photographer had apparently gotten out of the carriage to
- 13:53Speaker 4: take a photograph the driver.
- 13:56Speaker 2: The driver, Yeah, what did I say, it's photographer? Did
- 13:59Speaker 2: you see the did the video of this thing? Because
- 14:02Speaker 2: the whole incredible.
- 14:03Speaker 3: The horse bolts and it's just and there is the
- 14:08Speaker 3: driver running after the horse and the carriage tilts over.
- 14:12Speaker 3: I mean it's knocked over. A kid is thrown off.
- 14:16Speaker 3: That's this kid we're talking about. Went into the hospital
- 14:19Speaker 3: and they said he was in critical condition.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It was a lot more than that. Obviously he ended
- 14:24Speaker 1: up dying.
- 14:25Speaker 3: And so the move to stop these carriages from being
- 14:30Speaker 3: in Central Park this is iconic. They've been doing this
- 14:32Speaker 3: for one hundred and fifty years and so bad news here.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Thanks mom, Dobby Neil, you're up. Oh, I guess I
- 14:46Speaker 1: am a little slow this morning. Orange County dog trainer
- 14:51Speaker 1: is being convicted of the deaths of eleven dogs. This
- 14:53Speaker 1: is a horrible story. So you got this fifty four
- 14:56Speaker 1: year old out of Irvine operating Happy Canine Academy. They
- 15:00Speaker 1: have all this, you know, behave for your old training services,
- 15:04Speaker 1: overnight boarding, the things that you'd expect, and they can
- 15:07Speaker 1: range from you know, just under a grand, dude, just
- 15:11Speaker 1: over three grand. And these incidents happened in June of
- 15:16Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. The dogs were left in the care
- 15:21Speaker 1: of this facility and they would be left there weeks
- 15:25Speaker 1: at a time, and I guess he left them in
- 15:28Speaker 1: small crates inside a hot van. They would die of
- 15:32Speaker 1: heat stroke, and then he would try to incinerate them. No,
- 15:37Speaker 1: he did incinerate them. He went on, kind of capability.
- 15:41Speaker 1: So doesn't it take a lot to incinerate. No, you
- 15:44Speaker 1: go to a crematorium.
- 15:45Speaker 3: You go to as it's facility that cremates. It's like,
- 15:48Speaker 3: you know, they have they have doggy cremations.
- 15:51Speaker 1: This is even this is even worse. Then he would
- 15:54Speaker 1: text the people whose dog it was and let them know, Hey,
- 16:01Speaker 1: your dog passed away peacefully in the night, just while resting. Yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: that's pretty sick stuff.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I had a couple of jokes I was gonna make
- 16:10Speaker 3: on this one, but even I stop myself from that.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Oh boy, this is a big day. Who's a big boy? Yeah?
- 16:20Speaker 1: I love They might come out, Heather, move on, they'll
- 16:23Speaker 1: come out, all.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Right, No, they won't. Ready ready they won't.
- 16:26Speaker 1: They won't.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Just a quick story, and by the way, it's not
- 16:28Speaker 3: at all a story you would expect. I sent our dog,
- 16:32Speaker 3: one of our dogs to uh this doggy training center.
- 16:36Speaker 1: It was a couple of thousand dollars. It was horrific
- 16:39Speaker 1: because the dog was yipping and yapping too much, and
- 16:43Speaker 1: so we sent uh, we sent both of them to
- 16:45Speaker 1: I met at this facility. They came home after a
- 16:49Speaker 1: couple thousand dollars and did not stop yipping and yapping.
- 16:52Speaker 1: So you know what we did.
- 16:53Speaker 3: We have a bottle of a spray bottle of water
- 16:56Speaker 3: that when they do that, I just spray their faces
- 16:58Speaker 3: and say no, that was a dollar, yeah, as opposed
- 17:02Speaker 3: to two grand, and that worked. See there you go,
- 17:06Speaker 3: no joke, just an anecdote, Okay, And so he now
- 17:11Speaker 3: I could say something was really cold day when they went, okay,
- 17:15Speaker 3: let's take a break.
- 17:17Speaker 2: That's a yeah, crematorium joke. Okay.
- 17:20Speaker 4: We're getting some details about that plane crash from earlier
- 17:24Speaker 4: this week, the B fifty two that went down at
- 17:26Speaker 4: Edwards Air Force Base. We now know the names of
- 17:29Speaker 4: the men that were on board, and I'm going to
- 17:32Speaker 4: read them because I think that we should take a
- 17:34Speaker 4: moment to honor them and recognize their their service. So
- 17:39Speaker 4: Colonel Gregory Watson, Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Estralla, retired Lieutenant Colonel
- 17:45Speaker 4: Miles Middleton, Major Alexander Davis, Major Robert d Major Brad Hovey,
- 17:52Speaker 4: and flight test engineer Jeremy Smith and flight test engineer
- 17:56Speaker 4: Christopher Reischer.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and they're still trying to figure out what happened. Yes,
- 18:00Speaker 3: and we may actually never know because this was on
- 18:03Speaker 3: a truly classified mission that they were testing out some
- 18:07Speaker 3: new radar connected with the airplane.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So we're told we don't know.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Okay, a story that we've sort of been making fun of,
- 18:16Speaker 3: and hey, you know what, we're not alone.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It's all we have to offer, apparently. So if you're
- 18:22Speaker 1: anywhere on the Internet or anything like that, you've seen
- 18:24Speaker 1: that World Cup fans have really been enjoying ranch dressing.
- 18:30Speaker 1: So that's what we have to offer them. So all
- 18:33Speaker 1: these international soccer fans coming from everywhere to the United
- 18:37Speaker 1: States for the FIFA World Cup, they may be leaving
- 18:41Speaker 1: with a little bit of us in their heart by
- 18:44Speaker 1: the way of cholesterol and their bags. Yeah, So the
- 18:47Speaker 1: TSA was joking about this the other day one World
- 18:50Speaker 1: one ranch and they're reminding people that you've got to
- 18:54Speaker 1: stow it away in your checked bag and all these things,
- 18:57Speaker 1: because you know, people want more than three point five
- 19:00Speaker 1: bounces or whatever you can bring on there. And they're
- 19:03Speaker 1: referring to this as the new dip lomacy. Very strong,
- 19:10Speaker 1: very strongs again.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's a lot of these.
- 19:14Speaker 3: I saw a news yesterday or last night on the
- 19:17Speaker 3: ABC and they interview some furriners who came over and
- 19:21Speaker 3: they're just having a time of their life with the
- 19:24Speaker 3: foods that they're not used to, hot dogs and burgers
- 19:27Speaker 3: that just don't have another parts of the world. And
- 19:30Speaker 3: everybody loved but they were all drunk anyway, of course,
- 19:32Speaker 3: you're gonna love whatever you're.
- 19:34Speaker 1: At a World cup.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Ranch is so subjective though, like I'm not I'm not
- 19:40Speaker 4: crazy about ranch. Oh, but there's so there's different types
- 19:42Speaker 4: of ranch.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm with you.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, there's like the ranch on the bottle,
- 19:46Speaker 4: there's the ranch that's homemade in someone's like restaurant, you know,
- 19:49Speaker 4: like it's.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Making ranch is not difficult, and I would encourage people
- 19:54Speaker 1: to make their own if they are curious enough.
- 19:58Speaker 4: M Yo R make your own.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Remember when you and I travel, For example, one of
- 20:03Speaker 3: the drinks that you had, which I thought was interesting
- 20:06Speaker 3: was whiskey and ranchwater, which.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I think there is a drink called ranch water. Well,
- 20:13Speaker 1: of course not. It's yeah, okay.
- 20:16Speaker 4: All right, ranch for life, all right. Rex Huerman, the
- 20:22Speaker 4: serial killer on Long Beach, who admitted to murdering eight
- 20:25Speaker 4: women on Gilgo Beach, was sentenced to life in prison.
- 20:30Speaker 4: This took This is a case that took investigators more
- 20:33Speaker 4: than a decade to solve. And the judge said, get
- 20:37Speaker 4: him out of here.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yeah, really well, because the victims' families were in there
- 20:41Speaker 3: and they were doing victims statements and he was asked,
- 20:45Speaker 3: you have anything to say?
- 20:45Speaker 1: He says, I have no words for it, and the
- 20:47Speaker 1: judges threw him out. He did this.
- 20:49Speaker 3: What interesting about this? Which makes us a weird win?
- 20:52Speaker 3: He did this over twenty five years, and he had
- 20:55Speaker 3: this second life, this alternate life. His family didn't know,
- 20:59Speaker 3: his wife didn't know. And this is what he did.
- 21:02Speaker 3: He was architect, a well regarded architect, and he did this.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Would hire sex workers and strangle them and kill them.
- 21:10Speaker 4: You can't trust anyone, Nope.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Stephen Colbert might have tipped his hat at the very
- 21:19Speaker 1: end of the game and left CBS holding the money bag.
- 21:25Speaker 1: So he did this bit on the last of his
- 21:28Speaker 1: Late Show. The prank was that song Linus and Lucy.
- 21:33Speaker 1: We've all heard it from the Charlie Brown TV series. Well,
- 21:36Speaker 1: it is expensive to use. There's been four lawsuits over
- 21:41Speaker 1: unauthorized use of the tune. And he goes on to
- 21:43Speaker 1: say anyone illegally using that music is going to have
- 21:46Speaker 1: to pay through the nose. And as he's speaking, Lewis
- 21:50Speaker 1: Cato and the Great Big Joy Machine, the band for
- 21:53Speaker 1: the Late Show, began playing the song and he's like,
- 21:56Speaker 1: what is the band right now playing the same Peanuts
- 21:59Speaker 1: music that I just said people are going to be
- 22:02Speaker 1: sued for using without permission? And the band leader said, yep,
- 22:07Speaker 1: that's what we're doing right now, and he goes, I
- 22:09Speaker 1: hope this doesn't cost CBS any money. So of course
- 22:14Speaker 1: it did. There was Could they sue him? Could CBS
- 22:19Speaker 1: suit him? Probably, But that doesn't mean they're not responsible
- 22:24Speaker 1: because they quote published it. It was on their airwaves. Yikes.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Funny but yikes.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Also, the editor Morning Editors let me know I think
- 22:36Speaker 4: I said, she said, I said long beach when I
- 22:38Speaker 4: was talking about the Gilgo Beach killer. So that's my
- 22:41Speaker 4: apology Long Island if I said that, So I apologize.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Let's see, let's talk about dirty cities. Yay. Some cities
- 22:51Speaker 4: in Socow made the list for having the dirtiest cities
- 22:55Speaker 4: and that is counting a worse pollution including tricks for
- 23:00Speaker 4: air quality and waste management. And New York City was
- 23:05Speaker 4: not in the top ten. Surprisingly, that is surprising. But
- 23:08Speaker 4: two California cities are San Bernardino and Los Angeles, took
- 23:13Speaker 4: the top two spots.
- 23:15Speaker 2: The top two groast there we are.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Boy, it's just Southern California has not gone to hell
- 23:21Speaker 3: in a handbasket.
- 23:23Speaker 1: They the fact that they listed Cono's house and then
- 23:27Speaker 1: put in parenthesis San Bernardino. I thought was Christine. I
- 23:30Speaker 1: live on the north end. So the Sandino.
- 23:34Speaker 3: San Berdino is is the number one filthy of city
- 23:37Speaker 3: because not only does the have a ton of trash
- 23:40Speaker 3: after everybody, of course in in vibes with the meth.
- 23:44Speaker 3: They put the trash out in the streets an amazing
- 23:47Speaker 3: speed and lots of it. Okay, that's a myth joke,
- 23:50Speaker 3: sam Borandino meth joke.
- 23:51Speaker 1: The driving through San Bernardino to go up the hill
- 23:54Speaker 1: to Big Bear, I always say, wow, you know San
- 23:57Speaker 1: Bernardino is cleaner than La. Surprised.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Well, not that area where you go into the Yamavah.
- 24:04Speaker 4: That's where all the homeless people camp out.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that's Highland. That's not so bad Land.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Oh, I feel like it's all the same.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Past Pasadena, there is a dump that's a little ways
- 24:18Speaker 3: from my house, a landfill. Thank god, it's far enough
- 24:21Speaker 3: way to have to smell it. But that's called La. Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 3: But what so here's the Orange County and you have
- 24:29Speaker 3: these dump trucks. You know they have the sayings on
- 24:32Speaker 3: it powered by natural gas or.
- 24:34Speaker 1: We're there to clean it up.
- 24:35Speaker 3: They actually on the Trump on the truck say, at
- 24:39Speaker 3: least we're not from Los Angeles on the trash trucks.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, could be worse invitation, except it so the
- 24:52Speaker 1: NBA champs will visit the White House for the first
- 24:55Speaker 1: time during the administration of the President Donald Trump. The
- 25:00Speaker 1: Knicks are going to the White House.
- 25:02Speaker 4: That'll be fun.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah, which is unusual because previous championship teams just said no,
- 25:08Speaker 3: not interested, not interested.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Ain't knowing they haven't been the champs in a long time.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I think going to the Art House transcends who's in
- 25:19Speaker 1: the White House.
- 25:20Speaker 3: All right, but some people on a political issue, political
- 25:23Speaker 3: level do with a believer or don't believe in So,
- 25:28Speaker 3: you know, I don't have a problem saying no.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I else don't have a promo saying yes.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Well, New York famously doesn't really care for Trump. So
- 25:36Speaker 4: it'll be interesting to see if the playoffs they.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I mean, I think they're separating out the of these
- 25:42Speaker 3: politics with the Knicks. Hey, I have a question, as
- 25:47Speaker 3: we spoke about yesterday, the night of the championship game,
- 25:51Speaker 3: when the Knicks wrapped it up, of course, millions of
- 25:53Speaker 3: people are out, at least hundreds of thousands, and a
- 25:56Speaker 3: bunch of buses were torched. What were buses doing out there?
- 26:00Speaker 3: I had heard that Mumdani brought old buses out on
- 26:05Speaker 3: the street knowing they would be torched, because literally, what
- 26:08Speaker 3: are but what are buses parked near there? It was
- 26:13Speaker 3: they weren't in lots where buses are kept, and these
- 26:16Speaker 3: were school buses.
- 26:18Speaker 1: You know, what were they doing there? That's actually pretty
- 26:21Speaker 1: brilliant that if you know people are going to riot
- 26:24Speaker 1: in your city. Give them a riot area. Yeah, that's
- 26:27Speaker 1: been well, the whole city was a riot area.
- 26:29Speaker 3: But I'd heard that these were decommissioned old buses.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Uh and uh.
- 26:34Speaker 4: I think he brought in the buses to transport fans.
- 26:37Speaker 4: I don't think he brought them in.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Just for the don't know that's what I heard.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Maybe all right.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Sweden has passed good behavior law to kick out misbehaving immigrants.
- 26:50Speaker 4: This is an interesting idea. They can revoke their immigrants
- 26:54Speaker 4: residency permits based on bad behaviors such as unpaid debts,
- 26:58Speaker 4: doing undeclared work, or links to extremist organization. It covers
- 27:04Speaker 4: penny permits and also can retroactively already granted permits. That's
- 27:09Speaker 4: an interesting idea.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It is.
- 27:11Speaker 3: It's a little loose because you know what specifically, you know,
- 27:15Speaker 3: for example, what is considered a terrorist site. It's I
- 27:19Speaker 3: guess they can determine it. But you know, I mean
- 27:23Speaker 3: the number one song as these people are being thrown out,
- 27:26Speaker 3: they're singing, ain't misbehaving, which is a kind of a
- 27:28Speaker 3: neat song.
- 27:29Speaker 1: They're going to have a big site says no shirt,
- 27:32Speaker 1: no shoes, no immigration. Yes, I don't know, it sounds
- 27:36Speaker 1: like a good idea to me. Go figure, So there's
- 27:39Speaker 1: this oak tree, ancient ancient oak tree said to have
- 27:43Speaker 1: sheltered robin Hood, the legendary robin Hood, and this massive tree,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I guess died twelve hundred year old major oak in
- 27:55Speaker 1: Sherwood Forest, believed to have died after it didn't sprout
- 27:59Speaker 1: leaves this spring. And I guess this is something. You know,
- 28:02Speaker 1: visitors come all over the you know, all over to
- 28:06Speaker 1: see this, and so the past two centuries people that
- 28:10Speaker 1: viewed the tree and all of it's gnuraled and gnarly
- 28:14Speaker 1: limbs are are now seeing that nothing's growing.
- 28:20Speaker 3: So I think robin Hood was a real How abut
- 28:23Speaker 3: it is? First of all, there's absolutely no proof that
- 28:26Speaker 3: robin Hood went anywhere near that tree. The second of all,
- 28:29Speaker 3: there's no proof that robin Hood existed.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Right, I was like, I don't think he was real.
- 28:33Speaker 4: That was like, I don't think.
- 28:34Speaker 1: He was Then how they get the name Sherwood Forest?
- 28:38Speaker 1: You know, there is a tree, interestingly enough, from the
- 28:41Speaker 1: one of the earliest movies of Robin Hood in Lake Sherwood,
- 28:47Speaker 1: just outside of Westlake Village in the Thousand Oaks area.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a sherwood forest. But that does mean
- 28:52Speaker 3: Robinhood was part of it.
- 28:53Speaker 1: No, but in there the tree my understanding, the tree
- 28:56Speaker 1: is still there that was used in the movie that
- 28:59Speaker 1: robin Hood was filled.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Well, there are trees.
- 29:03Speaker 1: If you go to Jerusalem, there are trees, olive trees
- 29:06Speaker 1: that Jesus uh is attributable to Jesus and the garden
- 29:11Speaker 1: of gat Enemy and yeah that too. Yeah, walking around.
- 29:16Speaker 3: There are some trees that are five thousand years old.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Those olive trees are a thousand years older than Christ. Like,
- 29:24Speaker 1: there's he absolutely could have walked through that area and.
- 29:28Speaker 3: And and made those little olive wood crosses and those
- 29:31Speaker 3: little things that die, you know, yeah, they sell over there.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Jesus actually walking through this tree.
- 29:39Speaker 1: That's true. That's true. All right, guys, we are completely done.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Let's uh no I so we'll go ahead. Okay, a
- 29:48Speaker 3: little bit about the signing of that peace deal. A
- 29:53Speaker 3: lot of controversy too. Even Republicans are laying in the
- 29:58Speaker 3: Trump and the deal and are set saying that Iran
- 30:01Speaker 3: got much the better end of that one. We'll be
- 30:03Speaker 3: back with that. Let's check in. No, this is KF
- 30:07Speaker 3: I am six point forty.
- 30:09Speaker 2: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Catch My Show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am,
- 30:14Speaker 3: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app
