- 0:13Hello you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Hawkerel Energy Podcast.
- 0:18I'm your host, Kaylie, and this is your weekly reminder that it's a
- 0:21new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day if
- 0:24you'd become the howcrel energy you want to attract. Hello you guys, Happy
- 0:29July. I took a break last week by not recording an episode, and
- 0:35not even because of the craziness going on in my life right now, but
- 0:39also because it was such a weird week with Canada Day being a long weekend
- 0:44the following weekend, and then for a lot of you guys who are based
- 0:47in the States, it was July fourth, so everything just felt really out
- 0:52of sorts that week. I'm pretty sure I probably took last year the same
- 0:56break, Like I didn't post an episode just because I feel like it's such
- 0:59a weird week and I feel like a lot of my listeners are either based
- 1:02in Canada or the States, so I'm like, you know what, I'm
- 1:03gonna take a break. I'm not gonna do the podcast this week, but
- 1:07it was needed because we are officially thirty days away from the wedding. Guys.
- 1:12I cannot believe it cannot like I have been very stressed these past few
- 1:19weeks. Not gonna lie, I've been actually doing a really good job managing
- 1:23it. I have been really really proud of myself because, as you guys
- 1:26know, I've talked about a lot on the podcast, but I feel like
- 1:29it's been a really hard time for me to manage my stress. And you
- 1:32know, I always give you guys tips in terms of like how I manage
- 1:34it all that, but I have been so good, Like, yes,
- 1:38I've been stressed, but I've been finding ways to manage it in so many
- 1:41great ways, and I've been feeling so so good by managing it. So
- 1:46anyways, I'm going to be sharing some tips with you guys in this episode,
- 1:48so you guys will hear it. But yeah, I think it was
- 1:51a much needed break because I think last week I was really able to focus
- 1:55on everything I needed to get done for the wedding. I also wasn't posing
- 2:00that much on social media for obvious reasons, and I think these next few
- 2:04weeks it will be kind of, you know, posting to a minimal I'm
- 2:08going to try my best to do as many videos as I can. I
- 2:12think a lot of it is going to be essentially wedding content, like just
- 2:15beauty maintenance appointments, like getting my nails done, getting my facials. You
- 2:20know, I did a bit of botox just to touch up from my previous
- 2:23time for the wedding. So just a lot of like glow up videos for
- 2:28the wedding since we're getting so close to it. So that's essentially what the
- 2:30content's going to be, and then obviously wedding content once we get to the
- 2:34wedding days. So you might be sick of me, and I'm sorry,
- 2:38but I just want to, you know, capture as much as I can
- 2:40because obviously it is such an amazing moment in my life and I want to
- 2:46be able to capture as much content and memories as possible. And you only
- 2:50get married once, so I really want to just be able to capture everything
- 2:53and have all the memories and all that. So anyways, don't be sick
- 2:58of me. I promise eventually it will come to an end and I will
- 3:00be getting back into just you know, my normal content. But I hope
- 3:05you guys are enjoying this fun little era that I've had, and I've really
- 3:08enjoyed my bridal era and it's been great, but I'm excited obviously to get
- 3:13on to the next But yeah, so I hope everyone had a great week.
- 3:16Last week, I spent my Canada Day long weekend at a cottage my
- 3:21best friends. They own a cottage on a lake close by to our place,
- 3:25and we had the best time just kind of disconnecting from social media,
- 3:30really spending time with my friends. We were literally chatting about the wedding the
- 3:34entire time, and people are all just so excited about it all that.
- 3:37But it was really really nice just to yeah, be at a beach,
- 3:40go boating, just kind of, yeah, enjoy the cottage life. I
- 3:45love going to a cottage, eating good food all that. And I have
- 3:51a lot of things that I want to talk about in this episode because I
- 3:53decided right after Canada Day so it's only been like a week and a bit
- 3:58now, but I decided I wanted to challenge myself and really just take a
- 4:04deep dive in my healthy lifestyle, like go a bit more intense with my
- 4:09workouts, with my eating, with you know, no drinking for an example,
- 4:14Like just little things like that, like really just trying to really really
- 4:17focus on myself these next thirty days. And I think I've only been doing
- 4:23these things for the past ten days, and let me tell you, I
- 4:27have never felt better. I've been able to manage my stress. I literally
- 4:30feel like I've never been so fit in my life. Like I don't like
- 4:34to talk about body image or anything like that, but I truly feel like
- 4:38my best self. I don't feel too skinny, I don't feel, you
- 4:41know, my body's at a weight or anything like that. Like I personally
- 4:43just feel my best self, Like I have never felt healthier and I've never
- 4:46felt better. And I'm going to share with you guys everything I've been doing
- 4:50for the past ten days and I'm going to continue doing for the next twenty
- 4:54days prior to the wedding, and just how I've felt my absolute best,
- 4:59just mentally, physically all that. So we're going to get into it.
- 5:01Okay, the first thing I've been doing every single morning is I've been going
- 5:04on a walk. I know I talk about going on hawkerl walks all the
- 5:08time, but I don't know why this is different, Like this has just
- 5:10been hitting so much different lately. I have been walking for an hour instead
- 5:15of like thirty to forty minutes, so I've been upping it by twenty minutes,
- 5:17and I feel by making it an hour versus you know, thirty to
- 5:20forty minutes, it has really made a huge difference. So I've been doing
- 5:25that, whether it's two thirty minute walks a day or one hour walk a
- 5:29day, it has been my go to thing every single morning, and I
- 5:32just feel like it makes me want to have a productive start to my day
- 5:35as soon as I get that done. And I do this on top of
- 5:40a workout, usually during the day, So I'll walk in the morning and
- 5:42then I'll do a workout either later in the day or right after or the
- 5:46opposite. I'll do a workout and then i'll walk, or if I don't
- 5:48work out that day, I'll just you know, do the hour walk and
- 5:51that's it. But at least I feel like I'm getting some movement in I
- 5:55feel good. And I don't know, walking is obviously great for your mental
- 5:58health and all that, but I personally feel like walking has truly changed the
- 6:02game by upping it to an hour, Like walking an hour a day has
- 6:06made me so much better, and I feel like also going outside getting some
- 6:11sunlight, like I feel like I'm getting a bit of a tan at the
- 6:14same time, which has been kind of nice because I've been trying to get
- 6:16more color on my skin for the wedding. So just getting some daily sunlight,
- 6:20oh pretty, Just getting some daily sunlight, I think is key.
- 6:26Next is I've been working out five to six times per week. I know
- 6:29this seems like a lot, but it's really not that bad. I usually
- 6:32work out four times a week, but I've been upping it to five to
- 6:36six times per week, whether it's plates, running or spinning. I've been
- 6:40trying to do spinning three times a week, pilates two times a week,
- 6:43and then running once a week. So that's kind of my rotation currently.
- 6:47I really love to get some cardio in. That's probably my favorite form of
- 6:50workout. But pilates, let me tell you the burn you feel, Holy
- 6:56crap. I love pilates with the Reformer machine. Plattate's Matt is also good,
- 7:00but for the studio by my house, I just prefer the Reformer classes
- 7:04over the Matt classes and the Platate student that I always go to that some
- 7:08of you actually messaged me about, like where is this. It's called Soma
- 7:12Plates. The owner is the sweetest person ever, she is amazing. The
- 7:16workouts are great, her studio is stunning. It's literally a Pinterest plate studio,
- 7:20like it is gorgeous, and obviously working out in a beautiful space makes
- 7:24it ten times more motivating, let's be honest, girls. So yeah,
- 7:27I just love, love, love going there and the people that are so
- 7:30sweet. So I've been doing that twice a week. There's a lot of
- 7:32different instructors. I haven't really found like an instructor where I'm like, oh,
- 7:38this is my go to girl, Like for spinning, I have go
- 7:40to girls that I go to if you're in the Kannada area. The girls
- 7:44that I love to go to are Amanda, Alexis and who's the other one
- 7:49that I'm thinking of, Oh, Renee. Those are my favorite, I
- 7:54would say, oh, Nicole. Nicole's really good as well. So those
- 7:56are the instructors that I usually go to for spin co. I'll try and
- 7:59book around their like times for their classes because they're my favorite. But for
- 8:05the plot's one, I feel like because I've only been doing these pilate classes
- 8:09now for like I want to say a month and a half, I haven't
- 8:11really like found my go to person yet because I've tried so many different instructors
- 8:16that I feel like I need to do a few more times to figure out,
- 8:18Okay, I like this person the bus and I like this person the
- 8:20best, so anyways, but it's been a really really great burn. I
- 8:24feel like it's great for toning, so if you really need to tone,
- 8:28like my arms. I have never had strong arms in my life. I'm
- 8:31not even kidding, Like I suck at lifting weights, and I feel like
- 8:35pilates have made my arms so much more toned and I just feel stronger,
- 8:39Like I feel really really good. So yeah, that's what I've been doing
- 8:43as much as possible. And then I've been running in the trails with Freddy
- 8:46once a week. I kind of took a break from running for a bit
- 8:48because I injured my quads again. They were a little sore from the first
- 8:54time I ran, you know, and like you run for the first time
- 8:56this for the season, and it just things don't feel right. That's kind
- 9:01of what happened. So I started to walk a bit more again instead of
- 9:05running. But I have fully recovered from that. And I also think it
- 9:09was the shoes because I got new hookahs, which I'm obsessed with them.
- 9:13They're amazing, But I think breaking in the shoes also made a bit of
- 9:16an impact on how I felt that first time running because of my quads hurting,
- 9:20and then my feet were a little sore as well. So anyways,
- 9:22the shoes are officially broken in. I've gone on two runs since and it's
- 9:26been great, so we're going to keep that going for the next few weeks.
- 9:28But I feel like summer is so motivating to get more workouts done outside.
- 9:33So that's why I love running outside and I feel like you want to
- 9:37get out of the house right Like in the winter, I feel like I
- 9:39never want to leave, but in the summer, I always want to leave
- 9:41the house. I want to go to workout classes all that. So I
- 9:45feel like this is the time to up your workouts. It's so fun to
- 9:48be outdoors more and just go to workout classes with your friends or anything like
- 9:52that. I feel like, obviously, for my motivation right now has been
- 9:54the wedding prep, but find something to motivate yourself to work out, even
- 9:58if it's just for yourself, Like working out truly feels so good. I
- 10:01find it's, yeah, the best thing for your mental health and you guys
- 10:05know how much I love working out constantly. Another thing I've been doing and
- 10:09this is something new that's been into my routine. And this is what I
- 10:13think has been a huge game changer for my calmness and just distressing myself is
- 10:18I've been drinking green tea every single morning, whether it's green tea or dandelion
- 10:22tea. That's another one that's great for destressing. But this is so great
- 10:28for people who are dealing with stress, and I feel like having this consistently
- 10:33can actually make a really huge impact in just your stress levels. I feel
- 10:39like I've been very, very stressed. And something I actually forgot to tell
- 10:43you guys about was if you remember, a few weeks ago, I went
- 10:46to the dentist and I think I mentioned it on my Instagram storry. I
- 10:50don't know if I mentioned it here on the podcast, But long story short,
- 10:52I had a tooth infection because I still have a wisdom tooth in my
- 10:56mouth. Whatever they were saying that it's just infected. Take antibiotics, you'll
- 11:01be fine. I never told you guys this, but I took the antibiotics.
- 11:05Nothing was changing, like my mouth was still extremely sore. I was
- 11:09really concerned I was like, oh my goodness, I'm gonna have to get
- 11:11surgery before the wedding, which was obviously not what I wanted. I then
- 11:15went to my dentist and I said, listen, the medication didn't work,
- 11:18like I'm still in discomfort, I'm still in pain. We found out that
- 11:20it wasn't an infection. It was literally from stress, which is so crazy
- 11:26because I was clenching my teeth while sleeping, which was causing my entire cheek
- 11:31to pull, like the pulling feeling on one side of your cheek. And
- 11:35my teeth were sensitive because I was clenching so hard on them because I've been
- 11:39so stressed about the wedding. So he was basically saying, like, you
- 11:43need to find ways to de stress your body. So I think having a
- 11:46medical issue also made me realize like I need to do my research and figure
- 11:50out ways to calm my body down. And it was practicing deep breathing and
- 11:54drinking green tea, so I've been really focusing on my deep breaths. So
- 11:58I haven't been doing meditation. I would say it's some form of meditation,
- 12:01but I haven't really been following a class. I would just sit down on
- 12:05my couch in the morning, I close my eyes for five minutes and I
- 12:09just focus on my breathing, and that is it. Like I feel like
- 12:11the meditation classes just maybe wasn't something that was working for me, even though
- 12:16I know it's a great way to de stress. It just was something that
- 12:18I felt like it was really hard to add into my morning routine or night
- 12:22routine. But I feel like sitting on the couch doing a few you know,
- 12:26deep breathing exercises before your journaling or whatever, like that's kind of what
- 12:31I've been doing, and I feel like it's been really helpful, and then
- 12:33drinking green or dandelion tea. Literally it's been three weeks, guys, and
- 12:39my cheek is fine, Like my teeth are fine. Everything's fine. So
- 12:41I truly think actually managing my stress levels had made a huge impact in just
- 12:46how I felt, because now I've been feeling so much better. Also,
- 12:50I'm laughing because I forgot what Zach did for me. But when Zach found
- 12:54out that it was my teeth clenching that was causing the issue with my face,
- 12:58it was pretty bad, Like it was my whole face was not basically
- 13:01like it was really scary. He bought me mouthguards so I could sleep with
- 13:05them and it would stop the clenching of my teeth, like so sweet.
- 13:11I didn't even ask him for that. I guess he did his own research
- 13:13and you found out that you could wear mouthguards to help with like you clenching
- 13:18your teeth or whatever. I don't know. It was so sweet the fact
- 13:22you did that. I was like, so appreciated that. So anyways,
- 13:24I have not tried it yet, to be honest, the mouth guard thing,
- 13:26just because it was getting better. So I was like, you know,
- 13:28I'm gonna just listen to my own advice, do these things to help
- 13:33me distress, and just see if this works. But at least I have
- 13:35these mouthguards for a backup if this ever happens again. But yeah, no,
- 13:39So that's kind of ways of been managing my stress. Is drinking green
- 13:43or dandelion tea. Another great thing about having tea in the morning is that
- 13:46it's great for bloating. It's great for just your immune system, helps with
- 13:52digestion. I also love having a tea at night. I find having that
- 13:54after all your meals for the day, that's like the last thing you have
- 13:58before bed. I have the ninety ninety by traditional medicillines. I feel like
- 14:03that's a great way to help your digestive system, just to kind of,
- 14:05you know, digest everything that you ate throughout the day. All that.
- 14:09Another benefit to Dandelion Tea as well is I used to be a girl that
- 14:15got multiple UTIs to be fully transparent here, like I would get UTI's all
- 14:18the freaking time, and this actually helps with UTIs. So if you're someone
- 14:24that's prone to ugis highly highly recommend trying out Dandelion Tea. Not going to
- 14:30get into the whole UGI conversation, but it does help with it. So
- 14:33that's another reason why I try and drink this daily. And yeah, so
- 14:39those are some things that I've been doing for my morning and then no alcohol.
- 14:45I am doing mocktails the next thirty days no alcohol for me, and
- 14:50I already feel so good not having alcohol for ten days. Like I had
- 14:54some alcohol obviously on Canada Day weekend. But you guys know, I tell
- 14:56you guys all the time, I'm not a big drinker. I don't really
- 14:58drink them, which I don't ever get drunk anymore. Like I literally have
- 15:03two drinks and that's it. Like I'm a very like social drinker. I
- 15:07don't really zac and I we don't drink after dinner at all, Like it's
- 15:09very like rare that we have drinks if we go on a nice date,
- 15:13like we'll order a bottle of wine, but realistically, I don't really drink
- 15:18much. I'll have one glass and Zach will have, you know, majority
- 15:20of the bottle, or I'll have two glasses, whatever the case may be.
- 15:26I also feel like I get tipsy faster because I don't drink that much,
- 15:28so i will literally have two glasses of wine and I'll be tipsy.
- 15:31So not complaining, I'd rather be a lightweight than someone that has to drink
- 15:35too much. But the point being is that I don't really drink alcohol,
- 15:39Like it's not really my thing. But I've been trying to avoid it in
- 15:43social settings for the next few days because I'm like, you know what,
- 15:46I'm gonna obviously have a few glasses at the wedding, but I also,
- 15:50again, just because it's been such a stressful and very anxious month, I
- 15:52really wanted to manage it by not having any alcohol. No hangovers, and
- 15:56obviously not having alcohol will help with headaches and some aches and just physically you'll
- 16:00feel so much healthier. And as I said, I feel like drinking plays
- 16:03a huge role in anxiety and stress, so I've obviously been trying to cut
- 16:07that out. And yeah, just been trying to remove alcohol completely. So
- 16:11that's what I've been doing. No alcohol for the next thirty days. I
- 16:15want to try and make some mocktails because I feel like mocktails are becoming more
- 16:19and more popular, and I need to find a way to make an Aperrel
- 16:23spirts in a mocktail way, Like I need to find the alcohol free version
- 16:30of Apaol somewhere. It has to be somewhere. It has to exist because
- 16:33Apperall spirts are so popular now that it has to exist somewhere. So I'm
- 16:37gonna be in the hump for that to make a alcohol free apaol because that
- 16:41is my favorite drink ever, guys, like my guilty pleasure. Like every
- 16:45time Zach can I go out, if we don't order a bottle of wine,
- 16:48I'm ordering an Aperol spirits. That's it. I will bring many champagne
- 16:52bottles wherever we go, like we're just going to someone's house or if we're
- 16:55going, you know, to a cottage for example, like when I was
- 16:56in the cottage, I literally brought many sham pain bottles because I don't drink
- 17:00a whole bottle of champagne. I'll, you know, have a mini champagne
- 17:03bottle. I'll put my apparel liquor and then soda water. I'll have like
- 17:07two glasses out of that, and I'm good. But it's just so funny
- 17:10because someone make everyone just lost me and they're like, oh, there's Killy
- 17:12with her mini champagne bottles. Making your apparel sprits is so anyways, obviously
- 17:18it's a good thing I'm getting married in Italy because apperol sprits are obviously known
- 17:21there, so my wedding will be an entire sprits wedding, which is very
- 17:25exciting. Another thing I've been doing is taking thirty minutes to myself and doing
- 17:30a bit of self care. So whether that's journaling, you know, doing
- 17:33some facials, a sauna session, a meditation session, whatever works for you.
- 17:38I've been doing my journaling. I've been using my new face a lot
- 17:41for like facials on my face to really just like depuff or just any excess
- 17:48water in my face just so it's looking super lean and super nice for the
- 17:52wedding. I've been doing a lot of deep breathing exercises which I talked about
- 17:55just overall just really trying to focus on my mental health. As I said
- 17:57prior to the wedding, again, just a great way for me to de
- 18:00stress and also just kind of step away from the chaos that's happening right now,
- 18:06Like I need to sometimes take a step back and focus on myself and
- 18:11do things for myself, take care of myself, and then get back into
- 18:14it. I always talk to you guys about you know, if you're someone
- 18:17that's in school, or if you have a really really crazy job where you're
- 18:22constantly working all that. Like I'm telling you right now, you are going
- 18:25to be more productive if you take thirty minutes to yourself and then you go
- 18:29back to what you have to get done. So whether it's thirty minutes to
- 18:32yourself to go take a hot shower, do a bit of skincare almost like
- 18:34decompress, and then get your work done after that, you will be ten
- 18:38times more productive coming back versus like continuing to like drain your soul by like
- 18:44you know, continuing to do work or your school work or anything like that.
- 18:47Like, you need to take breaks. It's so so important. So
- 18:52taking that thirty minutes of self care, just step aside, focus on what
- 18:56you have to get done for yourself, and then get back into it.
- 19:00I feel like that makes a huge difference on your stress levels as well as
- 19:02just how productive you are. All that it just really really helps calm the
- 19:06mind. And then getting back into it just yeah, is the biggest game
- 19:10changer. I will not lie. I have been slacking on this and this
- 19:12is something I'm trying to be better at. But drinking two leaders of water
- 19:18daily, you guys know, the benefits to water is obviously amazing. I'm
- 19:21not going to get into that, but I have just been wanting to stay
- 19:25hydrated for many reasons, like obviously, if I don't drink water by the
- 19:29end of the day, I have a headache. And I'm like, hmm,
- 19:30I wonder why I have a headache. Maybe it's because I didn't drink
- 19:33enough water today, Like I feel like that's a common girl thing. But
- 19:37anyways, I find, you know, getting a cute water bottle, making
- 19:41sure that it's always filled up. I also love to have electrolytes because I
- 19:47don't know about you guys. But I get sick of the taste of water
- 19:48by like two PM, Like I actually do not like the taste of water
- 19:52like water to me. I don't know. It's a love hate relationship.
- 19:55I love having it. In the morning, I feel like I feel healthy,
- 19:57I feel good. I'm like I'm h myself. By two PM,
- 20:02I'm like, Okay, I'm sick of this shit, like i want something
- 20:04different, to be fully honest, So I've been having electrolytes. So electrolytes
- 20:11is something just to help with hydration. I have been using the brand Organica.
- 20:17I actually worked with them a few weeks ago, which was crazy because
- 20:19I've been using their electrolytes for years. So it was such an honor to
- 20:22work with them because I'm like, oh, well, I've been using this
- 20:23product for two years now, but I find they have the best electrolytes.
- 20:29The best flavors, in my opinion are pink Lemonade, Lemonade and Wild Raspberry
- 20:34guys. So good literally tasting juice. There's no added sugars or anything into
- 20:40it, but it's awesome for electrolytes. And Zach loves having these as well.
- 20:45Zach, someone who works outside for you know, eight to nine hours
- 20:48of the day and he's in direct sunlight, so he literally needs electrolytes all
- 20:53the time. So we make an electrolyte every single night with dinner, and
- 20:57Organica has just been the one that we've been using for you and it's amazing.
- 21:00So if you're someone that doesn't like the taste of water, highly recommend
- 21:03checking out that. All right. Next is eating ninety percent at home cooked
- 21:07meals. Okay, my girls that love uber eats, we're cutting that out.
- 21:11Okay, We're we're taking a step back, none of that. If
- 21:15you want to do it, you have to do it, maybe only three
- 21:17times this month, like, try and cut it out. I've been trying
- 21:19so hard to consistently eat at home. I'm obviously pretty good at eating at
- 21:23home. Like Zach and I we cook every single night, you know,
- 21:27the odd time on the weekend if we're you know, busy, or if
- 21:30we're lazy, like we'll just order takeout. But we're really trying to a
- 21:33save some money. I mean it's not a huge saving, but again still
- 21:37cutting costs and trying to do just easy at home cooked meals. So I've
- 21:41been really trying to keep the meals easy for dinners throughout the week. Also
- 21:45just because you know, we probably spend at least two three hours a night
- 21:49with wedding planning stuff lately, Like it's we eat dinner, we plan the
- 21:52wedding for two to three hours because it takes a lot of time for certain
- 21:56things. So I've been trying to make quick and easy meals. Like last
- 21:59night we did chicken wings with potatoes and broccoli, so it's pretty easy.
- 22:07Wasn't that big of a mess, which was nice. And yeah, so
- 22:10just like easy meals to cook at home. So yeah, I feel like
- 22:14just eating out less obviously you're saving money. You're you know, not wanting
- 22:18to eat out as much by like not feeling like shit, Like you don't
- 22:22want to be eating like in and out or McDonald's drinking like that. Like,
- 22:25if you're going to eat out, let's maybe resort to something a bit
- 22:29healthier, like a salad or something like that. Like my favorite place to
- 22:30eat out is mad Radish. It's this kind of like a salad bar slash
- 22:37grain bowl place. I don't know. They have the best bowls. So
- 22:40if you're going to get takeout, let's try to resort to something a bit
- 22:44healthier. I know it's hard in the summertime, but obviously, like if
- 22:48your friends are going up to a patio, don't restrict yourself. Go to
- 22:51that patio and eat what you want, drink what you want, Like,
- 22:53don't be restricted. We're not about restricting here. We are all about balance.
- 22:56But just you know, try and manage what you can and try and
- 23:00eat at homework. That's really it. I've just been trying to do that.
- 23:04Like if someone is gonna invite me to a patio, I'm obviously gonna
- 23:07go and I'm gonna have a good time, but I'm not gonna restrict myself
- 23:11and not do that. So it's all about balance. Just balance it all
- 23:14out. And yeah, all right, we already talked about this one.
- 23:17But daily sunlight, obviously sunlight is great for just relieving stress and just being
- 23:22outside is so great for your mental health and your overall mood. I know
- 23:26when I'm in the sun, my mood immediately spikes, like I feel so
- 23:30much happier, and obviously being in the sun getting a bit of a tan
- 23:33feels so nice. I've been trying to be outside for at least thirty minutes
- 23:37to an hour a day like on top of walking, just like laying out
- 23:42and doing work, like just to get a bit of a tan before the
- 23:45wedding, and I find it just feels so nice on my skin. I
- 23:49love, love, love laying out in the sun. But unfortunately today is
- 23:55a very gloomy day. It's literally gross out and not giving summer at all.
- 24:00But you know that's the reality. Not every day is going to be
- 24:03beautiful. But you know, I'm still going to go outside. I'm still
- 24:06gonna get a walk just because no matter what, I still love to get
- 24:08some fresh air and just be in the nature. So yeah, but trying
- 24:12to go outside as much as you can, I think is very therapeutic.
- 24:15It feels good. And yeah. Last thing that I feel like has been
- 24:21a huge game changer is my sleeping schedule. So my sleep routine, getting
- 24:26at least eight hours of sleep per night. Having a good sleep schedule,
- 24:30honestly is the biggest game changer. Going to bed at the same time,
- 24:33waking up at the same time is truly the key thing for your mental health.
- 24:38I'm not even over exaggerating, Like having a good sleep really just plays
- 24:42a factor in terms of how good your day's going. To be like to
- 24:45be fully transparent, like, but I don't have enough sleep, it's going
- 24:48to be a shit day. I know it's going to be a shit day.
- 24:49Like I'm not mentally trying to put that in my head, but it's
- 24:52just the reality. It's like, I know when I have a good sleep,
- 24:55I am going to have a good day. So having a good sleep
- 24:57schedule is so so lately it's been a little bit later. So I've been
- 25:03having like a ten thirty bedtime and waking up at seven versus like a ten
- 25:08pm bedtime and a six thirty wake up. So it's been a little bit
- 25:11later just because of wedding planning. I don't know why, but I think
- 25:15of the best ideas at nine pm at night. Is anyone else like that,
- 25:18Like I literally have the most creative things or I'm like, oh,
- 25:21I need to write all this down or I need to do this whatever at
- 25:23nine pm. So I don't know why it's like that, Or when I'm
- 25:27at spinning, when I'm working out, I think of the best ideas when
- 25:30I can't even write something down while I'm spinning. Obviously I usually remember it
- 25:33after the Spinko class, but while I'm spinning and then usually right before bed
- 25:37are my peak times of just thinking of creative thoughts or just things that I
- 25:42have to get done for the wedding planning, or just being productive in general.
- 25:48So I don't know. So lately I've had to push my sleeping schedule
- 25:51out a bit, but it's still been working. I've still been getting eight
- 25:52hours of sleep, so I've been going about at ten thirty waking up at
- 25:56seven, and it's been very consistent, which has been really helping with my
- 26:02mental health. So if you're not getting eight hours of sleep, I would
- 26:04probably reevaluate your sleep schedule and see, Okay, how can I get eight
- 26:08hours of sleep? Do I need to go to bed earlier, do I
- 26:11need to wake up later, whatever the case may be, just try and
- 26:14figure out a good sleep routine, because I do think it plays a huge,
- 26:18huge impact in just how you feel your energy levels, like you're gonna
- 26:22have no energy that day if you're not having good sleep, and just yeah,
- 26:26mentally, So that is everything I've been doing these past ten days and
- 26:32I plan to do for the next twenty days. And I truly feel like
- 26:34I have felt my healthiest self, and I know, I know It sounds
- 26:37dramatic that it's only been like just over a week, but I feel like
- 26:42these things have truly helped me out completely, and I just feel like I
- 26:47have never felt healthier, I've never felt my best. I truly feel very,
- 26:51very good going into the wedding already, and again there's still so much
- 26:56that has to get done, but just from a health perspective and mental health
- 26:59perspective, I feel really really good, and I'm excited to see how much
- 27:03better i feel in twenty days. Like I think I'm gonna feel even better
- 27:07knowing that, you know, if I'm consistent with this for the next twenty
- 27:11days, I think it's even gonna be better. So this has been a
- 27:12bit of a challenge for myself and I really wanted to share it with you
- 27:15guys here on the podcast, because if you're someone that's looking for a thirty
- 27:18day challenge, or if you're just looking for some tips on how to become
- 27:21the healthiest version of yourself, I feel like these are really really easy things
- 27:26you can do to adjust into your current routine. And a lot of these
- 27:30things might be things that you're already currently doing, and that's great, but
- 27:32if there's things in here that you aren't doing that you want to try out.
- 27:34I highly highly recommend it. This has been again really really good for
- 27:38my mental health and I just really really felt like my best self lately.
- 27:44And yeah, I've just been feeling really really good. So anyways, I
