- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:12Speaker 2: This week on your Gabble Gabble.
- 0:14Speaker 1: If you sue your ex husband for a bunch of
- 0:16Speaker 1: power bills he didn't pay because he never became a
- 0:18Speaker 1: rap star, do you have a claim?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Judge matthis pits a few bars.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And if you see your baby mama and then propose
- 0:26Speaker 1: to where will she say yes? And make everything okay?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Judge Jerry tells us real people cases take justice.
- 0:33Speaker 2: This is your.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Gov.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Oh we did now.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I was saying go gavel and you were saying gavel, gavel.
- 0:46Speaker 1: But together it sounds like we're both saying the same thing.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Sounds like we practiced it brand and those are always fun.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right. How you doing, buddy, I'm good. We
- 0:53Speaker 3: should have recorded this a week ago. But we're here.
- 0:55Speaker 1: That's right.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We're here. Better late than never than never.
- 0:57Speaker 3: What you call from the old uh camp that says
- 1:00Speaker 3: your kid's head split open, You got to run out
- 1:02Speaker 3: the door.
- 1:03Speaker 2: That's how that works.
- 1:04Speaker 1: That's what I've always said. Are you read a couple
- 1:07Speaker 1: of court cases today? Oh?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but you had a chance to dive into a
- 1:10Speaker 2: special with this.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I did so. Uh. This is one. It looks like Okay, guys,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm wearing shorts under you promise. But when I was
- 1:18Speaker 1: going like this, it looked like, so what happened here
- 1:26Speaker 1: is we were sent this case, well we were someone
- 1:30Speaker 1: posted on Facebook. Facebook, just a clip of it, and
- 1:33Speaker 1: I said, I got to track this down. I'm gonna
- 1:35Speaker 1: do for the gabble. And that's what I'm gonna do today.
- 1:37Speaker 1: All right, I'm at Judge Jerry's mercy here with James Hicks,
- 1:42Speaker 1: who is suing Brooklyn Hardwick for eight hundred smackers.
- 1:47Speaker 3: James, James Hicks, Hicks, Brooklyn Hardwick, Yes, for eight hundred schomackers.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Okay, schmackers. All right, man.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So James is seventeen. James is seventeen and met Brooklyn
- 2:01Speaker 1: on Facebook.
- 2:03Speaker 2: As you do. Yes, it's a good place to meet people.
- 2:05Speaker 1: They met up, they started dating. They then got in
- 2:09Speaker 1: a moped accidents. Now what happened here is an suv
- 2:14Speaker 1: hit them while they were on a moped. Okay, and
- 2:17Speaker 1: they survived and they're like, you know, this is like
- 2:20Speaker 1: a big deal together blah blah, blast of sign. And
- 2:24Speaker 1: so they ended up you know, celebrating by by you know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: doing doing some stuff together. Some extracurriculars, doing some stuff,
- 2:34Speaker 1: and she ended up getting pregnant. Brooklyn did at seventeen,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and James says, this is the girl of my dreams, Brooklyn,
- 2:43Speaker 1: this is it. So Jerry says, well, okay, so you
- 2:45Speaker 1: love her, you have a child together, but you are
- 2:49Speaker 1: suing her. Why are you suing her eight hundred schmackers
- 2:54Speaker 1: that's right, he says, I'm suing her for two months rents.
- 3:00Speaker 1: When she got pregnant, we moved into an apartment together.
- 3:03Speaker 1: We just decided to split everything fifty to fifty. There's
- 3:07Speaker 1: no paperwork to say this. But Brooklyn does not disagree.
- 3:10Speaker 1: She says that this is what the plan was. He says,
- 3:14Speaker 1: the reason why she stopped paying rent is because she
- 3:17Speaker 1: says that I cheat it. And he says, quote and
- 3:20Speaker 1: again this is a quote. And if there's kids in
- 3:23Speaker 1: the car, you know this is a quote. Yes, I
- 3:27Speaker 1: did text a few other girls, but I never screwed them.
- 3:33Speaker 1: End quotes a quote. But I did cheat on her
- 3:37Speaker 1: when she was pregnant, but I said I was sorry.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So he did screw somebody.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yes, But before he says, when she said when she
- 3:47Speaker 1: says he cheated, yes, he said, I didn't. He said
- 3:51Speaker 1: I didn't cheat the way that she said I cheated
- 3:54Speaker 1: back then when she was She's.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Wrong about saying I cheated then, but not earlier when
- 3:59Speaker 2: I did cheat.
- 4:00Speaker 1: That's exactly right. So he at least is honest about this.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I want to set the record straight on when I cheated.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Is what this guy says.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He could have said he never cheated. So some point
- 4:10Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, she says, yes, I stopped paying rent
- 4:15Speaker 1: because he was cheating. One night, I'm up in the
- 4:18Speaker 1: middle of the night and I see his phone lighting up.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I answer it and it is a girl from Wark
- 4:23Speaker 1: claiming that they hooked up and he got her pregnant
- 4:27Speaker 1: and all this stuff. He speaks up and says, that's
- 4:30Speaker 1: a lie, and I swear on my son.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Wow, so which one got.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Okay, well, yeah, he only has one son.
- 4:40Speaker 3: So the whole thing is that the other girl said
- 4:42Speaker 3: that she was I understand, but that that child doesn't exist.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Okay, to be to be fair, okay, it does only
- 4:49Speaker 1: have one son. Okay, great, one child. That is so
- 4:55Speaker 1: uh again it you know, he seems like if he cheats,
- 5:01Speaker 1: he will own up to it. So the fact that
- 5:04Speaker 1: he is saying that he didn't do it in this
- 5:06Speaker 1: case is interesting.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Thee out the oh.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And so she says that she did pay rent, but
- 5:16Speaker 1: it was never fifty to fifty. She says that she
- 5:19Speaker 1: would take about one hundred dollars out of her check
- 5:22Speaker 1: because that's all that she could afford. Yeah, so if
- 5:26Speaker 1: it's two months rent four dollars, she was supposed to
- 5:29Speaker 1: be spending four hundred dollars a month if it's fifty
- 5:32Speaker 1: to fifty, but she was only paying one hundred whatever, there's.
- 5:35Speaker 2: No we don't get it really any there's for work
- 5:38Speaker 2: on that's right.
- 5:39Speaker 1: She's apartment is the Leason ummm, we don't know, okay, great, so.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Whose name is the apartment? Lison.
- 5:45Speaker 1: She thinks that he's putting all the money, the one
- 5:48Speaker 1: hundred dollars that she was paying him, towards hooking up
- 5:50Speaker 1: with women. And he says, Judge, Jerry, I work seventy
- 5:54Speaker 1: five hours a week making twelve bucks an hour. I
- 5:57Speaker 1: don't need her hundred dollars a month to cheat on women.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Jerry says, but you did cheat, and he says, yes,
- 6:05Speaker 1: but I haven't been with anyone else in the final
- 6:09Speaker 1: six months of our relationship.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Wow. The final sixth.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Judge, Jerry says, good for you, bangs his gabble and
- 6:15Speaker 1: everyone cheers sarcastically, and he's just like super proud of himself.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It's a great bent. So Jerry asks James why he's
- 6:25Speaker 1: trying to take money from Brooklyn while she's trying to
- 6:29Speaker 1: raise their kid. It's a fair question.
- 6:31Speaker 2: That's a fair question.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And James says, well, if I had the money, we
- 6:37Speaker 1: wouldn't be having to stay at her parents' house. We'd
- 6:41Speaker 1: have our own space. So he says, I want the
- 6:45Speaker 1: money from her so that I can get us a space,
- 6:48Speaker 1: To get us a space and put that money back
- 6:50Speaker 1: into our side.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Guy with his big seventy five hour a week job.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Okay, he's one hundred dollars short, apparently, h he needs
- 6:58Speaker 1: eight hundred dollars.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be would be the difference.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yes, So, but what he's claiming here is that he
- 7:05Speaker 1: wants the money to put into the life of the son.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So it's cyclical. Yes, the money could be going directly
- 7:12Speaker 1: to the kid. Still better, he wants the money so
- 7:15Speaker 1: that he can then invest that money and put it
- 7:19Speaker 1: put it in the life of the kid. He also says,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and now I'm homeless seventy five hours a week, and
- 7:26Speaker 1: he says, and Jerry says, I thought you were living
- 7:29Speaker 1: with her parents. She says, well, he recently sent two
- 7:36Speaker 1: pictures of a certain type to my friends, and when
- 7:42Speaker 1: I found out about this, I kicked him out. He says, recently.
- 7:47Speaker 1: James says, recently doesn't count. We are broken up, and
- 7:51Speaker 1: Jerry says, well, actually it does count.
- 7:53Speaker 2: It does count, and I'm ready to rule. Yeah, he's
- 7:56Speaker 2: not getting any money, and his proposal better be turned
- 7:58Speaker 2: down immediately.
- 7:59Speaker 1: But I get the feeling judge Jerry's a wacko, so
- 8:04Speaker 1: something else might happen, but no money. Knowing the proposal,
- 8:07Speaker 1: Jerry says, James, you totally changed her life by getting
- 8:10Speaker 1: her pregnant. I look at the expenses monthly on what
- 8:14Speaker 1: is being spent to raise a baby, and the facts
- 8:18Speaker 1: that she's now the one spending the money because you're
- 8:20Speaker 1: no longer living there to raise this baby, because you
- 8:23Speaker 1: sent pictures of a certain type. That money should go
- 8:27Speaker 1: directly towards the baby, not towards you then spending money
- 8:31Speaker 1: to put towards the baby. We're gonna cut out the
- 8:32Speaker 1: middleman here and just put that money towards the baby.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So I'm gonna dismiss this case, great, James En says,
- 8:40Speaker 1: can I say one more thing? Jerry says sure. James
- 8:43Speaker 1: walks over to Brooklyn, gets down on a knee, and says,
- 8:46Speaker 1: you're the love of my life. I want to be
- 8:48Speaker 1: with you forever, pulls out a ring, to which Brooklyn
- 8:51Speaker 1: looks at it for about five seconds, and then shuts
- 8:56Speaker 1: the box. Everyone cheers turn them down. James then walks
- 9:01Speaker 1: away and tries to walk to leave by walking towards
- 9:06Speaker 1: the door that Jerry enters and exits through the bailif
- 9:09Speaker 1: haas to get his attention. This isn't the way you.
- 9:11Speaker 1: So we get the exit interviews, and the exit interviews,
- 9:15Speaker 1: James says, I think I could have stayed faithful if
- 9:21Speaker 1: we got married. And Brooklyn's exit interview was a lot
- 9:27Speaker 1: more sad. She's crying a lot, saying he cheated on
- 9:30Speaker 1: her the week after she gave birth, Good God, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: that she can't keep doing this to herself. She needs
- 9:38Speaker 1: to do what's best for her baby. Blah blah blah.
- 9:40Speaker 1: So good for Brooklyn, James, you know what's not coming
- 9:45Speaker 1: across in this story? I think, James isn't a great
- 9:48Speaker 1: dude who clearly is cheating a lot, but he also
- 9:54Speaker 1: I don't know, he's a seventeen year old kid who
- 9:57Speaker 1: doesn't come across as like a monster.
- 10:00Speaker 2: He comes across as someone.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Who actually does he care about it anymore? He's still seventeen.
- 10:06Speaker 1: She's eighteen now, wow, so when this's probably all happened
- 10:10Speaker 1: when he was sixteen. I I think if someone would
- 10:14Speaker 1: come along and like mentor this guy, I think he
- 10:18Speaker 1: could be he's actually here if you could come on
- 10:22Speaker 1: in j Nope, okay, Like he seems like a kid
- 10:25Speaker 1: who wants to try, and I hope that everything works
- 10:29Speaker 1: out for them. And I hope and mainly the baby,
- 10:32Speaker 1: because I you know, I never like to do cases
- 10:35Speaker 1: that involve a baby, and so I was a little
- 10:37Speaker 1: bummed that it did, which is why we don't do
- 10:39Speaker 1: Unity Court or yeah, either one, because oftentimes it's it's
- 10:44Speaker 1: ichy like that. I don't like doing that. It's not fun.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But he I felt hopeful that that maybe this is
- 10:51Speaker 1: the kick in the pants that he needs to tourney
- 10:54Speaker 1: and uh, for the for the sake of the kid,
- 10:56Speaker 1: they can work together on Thish, Dan, where are you going?
- 11:00Speaker 3: I'm back in Mathis's chambers, where I feel most comfortable.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And let me introduce you to Leandra Lowman. Leandra, Leandra Loman, Hey, THEO.
- 11:09Speaker 2: What do you think? Good?
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yep, good talk, just sporading through. Leandrel Loman is suing
- 11:15Speaker 3: her ex husband for three thousand and fifty six dollars
- 11:19Speaker 3: for unpaid power.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I don't know if theo's toys coming through on the mic. Yeah,
- 11:24Speaker 1: it's great, it's a squeaker.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Her ex husband, Alexis Edwards, is counter suing for fifteen
- 11:31Speaker 2: hundred dollars.
- 11:32Speaker 1: His name's Alexis.
- 11:33Speaker 3: His name is Alexis. They call him Alex pretty much
- 11:36Speaker 3: the whole time. Leandre Loman suing him for three thousand
- 11:39Speaker 3: and fifty six dollars.
- 11:41Speaker 1: To yo, he's looking him big fun, big fun.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so Leandrew said, listen, when we met,
- 11:47Speaker 3: we were young, twenty three and twenty five, but he
- 11:50Speaker 3: still acts like he's twenty five.
- 11:52Speaker 2: We met, we got married in the same month that
- 11:55Speaker 2: we met. We had we got we were married for
- 11:58Speaker 2: eight full years, have three kids.
- 12:00Speaker 1: They met, got married the same same month and stayed
- 12:03Speaker 1: married for eight years. Okay, and then I just came
- 12:07Speaker 1: to have three kids, three kids, Yes, and I need
- 12:10Speaker 1: to let you know.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I believe I don't know what her religion is, but
- 12:15Speaker 2: her religion is very important to her. She is wearing
- 12:18Speaker 2: a full head covering and that will come into play later.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I'm just letting you.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Know, possibly figure out how well she's going to complain
- 12:27Speaker 3: about things he does. And one of them is about
- 12:30Speaker 3: the religion.
- 12:31Speaker 1: So I came to realize how childish, lazy, irresponsible he is.
- 12:36Speaker 1: And Judge mass is like, well, how, and she says,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I had to find him jobs. I wrote his resume,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I filled out the application, I enrolled him in college.
- 12:46Speaker 2: He never went. Toward the end of our marriage, he
- 12:50Speaker 2: decided he wanted to be a rap star. The crowd
- 12:53Speaker 2: laughs when she says rap star. When we met, he
- 12:57Speaker 2: did some shows as a DJ, but after the kids came,
- 13:01Speaker 2: there wasn't any more of that. But then he picked
- 13:03Speaker 2: it back up, and that was kind of the last
- 13:05Speaker 2: straw for me. You're not bringing any money and now
- 13:08Speaker 2: you're trying to be a rap star. So Matthews says, sir.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Do you get to hear any of the rap? We don't.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Matthis looks at Alex and says, sir, do you want
- 13:16Speaker 1: to defend yourself, and Alex says, your honor, I've always
- 13:18Speaker 1: been a rap star. All right, My things are going great, great,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I've always been a rap star.
- 13:23Speaker 3: People laugh. Sir Mathew says, how would you define star?
- 13:27Speaker 3: And he says not by anyone else's definition, you know,
- 13:30Speaker 3: like jay Z or something.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And Mathews says, well, how would you define star? And
- 13:35Speaker 2: he says people love the music that I do.
- 13:38Speaker 1: People love it fair enough, and Matthew says, we don't
- 13:42Speaker 1: get to hear any rap.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Matthews says, okay, how many give me an essence?
- 13:47Speaker 3: How many people of the number of people that love
- 13:50Speaker 3: your music that make you a star?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Are we talking fifty people? Do fifty love your music?
- 13:56Speaker 2: And at this point he says, your honor, I'm only
- 13:58Speaker 2: using the word star because she used it first, and
- 14:01Speaker 2: Matthis quickly points out, no, you specifically said I've always
- 14:06Speaker 2: been a rap star, to which he says, I'm more
- 14:10Speaker 2: of an EMC. So he backs off and says he's
- 14:13Speaker 2: an MC and he says, did she really do all
- 14:17Speaker 2: that stuff for you? Fill out the applications, make your resume,
- 14:21Speaker 2: and he says, I don't recall all of that. It's
- 14:24Speaker 2: probably forty nine percent true, So Alex has very interesting
- 14:29Speaker 2: thing to say, A nine percent true.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Sure. At this point, Leandrew goes, really, and then Alex says,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I don't have a college education, so I'm not exactly sure.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Matthis then takes this point. Instead of using the joke
- 14:42Speaker 1: for what it is, he takes this opportunity to rant
- 14:45Speaker 1: about getting kids into college and how that would change everything.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, Leandre said. We both went to the
- 14:51Speaker 2: same high school. Alex says.
- 14:53Speaker 1: When we first met, she had a son by somebody else.
- 14:57Speaker 1: We were introduced by a mutual friends. It was a setup,
- 15:00Speaker 1: and when I first saw her, I immediately saw that
- 15:01Speaker 1: she was a great mom. This makes Leandra actually smile,
- 15:05Speaker 1: like you can tell they have some legit chemistry and
- 15:08Speaker 1: feelings for each other. We were introduced, I felt like
- 15:11Speaker 1: we would make a good couple. She would be a
- 15:12Speaker 1: great mom. She was wonderful, Leandre said, And so we did.
- 15:16Speaker 1: We became a couple when we got married twenty four
- 15:18Speaker 1: days later, twenty four days after meeting. All right, so Leandra, so,
- 15:23Speaker 1: Matthews says, how things go. Alex says, ask her, she's
- 15:26Speaker 1: the one that wanted a divorce, you know.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Leander said, well he was lazy. Matthews says, I got that.
- 15:32Speaker 2: What else?
- 15:33Speaker 1: She said, well, I needed help in the home. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: needed help raising the kids. He did get a job,
- 15:37Speaker 1: but he would go to work and then we would
- 15:39Speaker 1: come home and play video games.
- 15:41Speaker 2: And she said because of our religion, very important part
- 15:44Speaker 2: of our religion is attending And she says the name
- 15:47Speaker 2: of the service they attend, and I could not understand it.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Upon several rewindings, I don't know what it is. I
- 15:54Speaker 2: think it was nas Gyir. I couldn't get jeer, Yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 2: that would be my guest.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Did you google it?
- 16:00Speaker 2: I tried.
- 16:00Speaker 3: The best second figure is maybe like the American Nation
- 16:03Speaker 3: of Islam, but I'm not positive on it. So he
- 16:07Speaker 3: didn't go, and she and Matthis says you didn't attend service.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Alex said I didn't attend service enough for her. Apparently
- 16:12Speaker 3: she wants them there every Sunday. Leander says, we got divorced.
- 16:16Speaker 3: He moved out. Okay, so here's the problem. You're like,
- 16:18Speaker 3: what does this have to do with the power bill?
- 16:20Speaker 3: We get divorced, he moves out of their place.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Two years later, she meets a guy in Georgia and
- 16:29Speaker 1: is gonna get remarried and move with the kids to Georgia.
- 16:32Speaker 1: At this point, they are divorced. They're divorced for two years,
- 16:36Speaker 1: and they're in Philadelphia. At this point, she knows that
- 16:39Speaker 1: he's in tough straits, is renting one room in somebody's house,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and she says, hey, why don't you come back and
- 16:46Speaker 1: live in the place we were living. I'm moving to
- 16:48Speaker 1: Georgia with the kids, and as long as you take
- 16:50Speaker 1: up the expenses and the utilities, it's all good, to
- 16:55Speaker 1: which he says, okay, great. We had been in that
- 16:58Speaker 1: house together for five years. I had been in there
- 17:00Speaker 1: with the kids alone for two years.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Now I'm leaving, so.
- 17:05Speaker 3: This is just a rental, Yes, a rental. So Alex says, okay,
- 17:09Speaker 3: we got divorced. I went and lived with a coworker
- 17:11Speaker 3: for two years. She met a man in Georgia. All
- 17:13Speaker 3: that's accurate. When I got there, the gas got cut off.
- 17:18Speaker 3: It got caught off when I got in, and he says,
- 17:21Speaker 3: apparently the bill wasn't being paid and so the gas
- 17:25Speaker 3: was cut off and I had to pay fifteen hundred
- 17:27Speaker 3: dollars cash to turn the gas back on, which I
- 17:30Speaker 3: paid to turn it back on. How much fifteen hundred?
- 17:34Speaker 3: He said, Now, I did fall behind on the electric
- 17:37Speaker 3: bills that she's talking about two hundred and fifty six dollars,
- 17:42Speaker 3: But I fell behind because I had to pay fifteen
- 17:44Speaker 3: hundred dollars to turn the gas back on, and so
- 17:46Speaker 3: I tried my best to keep up for the payment.
- 17:48Speaker 3: She told me she'd reimburse me for the fifteen hundred.
- 17:51Speaker 3: She never did, so, matt says, is He counter saying yes,
- 17:54Speaker 3: for fifteen hundred. Matthew says, you admit you are the
- 17:58Speaker 3: thirty two to fifty six and he says, no, I
- 18:01Speaker 3: admit that she told me I owe her to thirty
- 18:03Speaker 3: two to fifty six. I've not seen any of the bills,
- 18:06Speaker 3: that's what she says, so and she said was he?
- 18:11Speaker 3: Then he says, was that bill accumulated while you were
- 18:13Speaker 3: there or before you got there? And he said, I'm
- 18:17Speaker 3: not sure it's possible, but I've not seen the bill
- 18:21Speaker 3: didn't come to my house and the mail.
- 18:23Speaker 2: He says, were you paying for anything during that time?
- 18:26Speaker 2: He said, when the bills would come, I was paying
- 18:27Speaker 2: as much as I could, but they only came to
- 18:29Speaker 2: my house every three months, something's not out at up.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Leandrew's like, so you're saying the electric company is just responsible, irresponsible.
- 18:37Speaker 2: You're getting bills every month and you know it.
- 18:38Speaker 1: And he says, well, yeah, that's what I'm saying, the
- 18:41Speaker 1: electric companies irresponsible.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So they go back to the gas bill.
- 18:44Speaker 1: That's the thing about electric companies is they'd like they're
- 18:47Speaker 1: just kind of like, you know whatever. So it well
- 18:48Speaker 1: send them when we send them. Then Lee Massis is like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: let me get this gaspell straight. You showed up and
- 18:53Speaker 1: the gas was turned off, and he said, yeah, fifteen
- 18:55Speaker 1: hundred dollars and she said she'd.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Pay me back. Leander said, I don't know what you're
- 18:58Speaker 2: talking about. Here's the thing. We were on budget billing,
- 19:02Speaker 2: and apparently in Philadelphia, if you were on it's kind
- 19:06Speaker 2: of like rent control. But if you pay a certain
- 19:08Speaker 2: amount every month, that's your set amount, no matter how
- 19:12Speaker 2: much gas you use.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yes, I use that. I have that with Piedmont and
- 19:15Speaker 1: so if you take that budget billing and you don't
- 19:19Speaker 1: pay it, they make you pay the back bill like.
- 19:22Speaker 2: All of it at once.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Well also so it's it looks at what you did
- 19:27Speaker 1: like last year, and says this is what we guesstimate,
- 19:29Speaker 1: it's going to be a month. So you do that
- 19:30Speaker 1: at the end of the year, you have to settle up.
- 19:32Speaker 2: So I know what that is.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But I think this is different. Oh okay, because she said,
- 19:37Speaker 1: if you.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Don't pay the budget billing, then you owe everything that
- 19:41Speaker 3: is due at one time. Sure, So what she is
- 19:44Speaker 3: claiming is is that when he took over, he didn't
- 19:47Speaker 3: pay the budget billing and that is why the gas
- 19:50Speaker 3: got cut off.
- 19:51Speaker 2: But he's saying, right when he moved in it, that's
- 19:53Speaker 2: what he's saying. We don't have any paperwork either way
- 19:56Speaker 2: on this thing. Oh boy, it's a mess. So basically
- 20:03Speaker 2: she said, he says, can you prove when the gas
- 20:06Speaker 2: was turned off?
- 20:07Speaker 1: He says, I can't. She says, can you prove? He
- 20:10Speaker 1: says to her, can you prove that all of this
- 20:13Speaker 1: money from the electrical that he says you owe him,
- 20:16Speaker 1: can you prove that that money was while you were
- 20:18Speaker 1: gone and he was there? And she says, you're on
- 20:21Speaker 1: her own any paperwork. But we were up to date
- 20:24Speaker 1: when I left. These are bills that kept accruing because
- 20:27Speaker 1: he was gone. He's now got Gavin. Gavin's ready to
- 20:31Speaker 1: rule Gavin, come on in, Judge Mathis, I think.
- 20:35Speaker 2: No, Judge Matthis is ready to rule.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Unfortunately. Again, guys, this is why if anyone ever assues,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you bring your papering literally anything. That's kind of my
- 20:48Speaker 1: my thought process here is even if the paperwork doesn't
- 20:51Speaker 1: even really match, like just coming with something helps. Yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 1: bring something. So both of these cases are going to
- 20:58Speaker 1: get thrown out because nobody has anything to prove anything
- 21:01Speaker 1: about anybody.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Matthis gives her the money.
- 21:04Speaker 3: And the reason that Matthis gives her the money, I
- 21:06Speaker 3: think is because he just thinks that the dude has
- 21:09Speaker 3: not done what he's supposed to do. But his reasoning is, Sir,
- 21:14Speaker 3: you can't prove that the gas was cut off because
- 21:19Speaker 3: of her. You don't have any paperwork.
- 21:21Speaker 1: You do admit that these power bills were not paid
- 21:25Speaker 1: while you were there, and so I'm going to ruin
- 21:27Speaker 1: her favor, that is what So because he has a
- 21:29Speaker 1: history of not paying the.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Basically, but also he admits that he didn't pay the
- 21:34Speaker 3: electric bill over and over again, and he said it's
- 21:37Speaker 3: because he never got the bills, is what he says.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And so that's enough for Matthis to give her the money.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Okay, there you had iba because she's taking care of
- 21:45Speaker 2: the kids. That would be my guess.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, is he paying any child sport? Yeah? No, I
- 21:50Speaker 1: have no idea, no idea, we didn't have make Congratulations.
- 21:54Speaker 1: We're all caught up. We're gonna be back next time
- 21:58Speaker 1: with another one. Until then, all right.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yo.
