  rocket company and Starship. There's been a lot of hubbub

  about Starship lately and SpaceX had just release their brand,

  heavy is the big bad rocket on the bottom, which launches

  people and satellites and things into space.

  So Starship spacecraft is super heavy, which collectively they
• 3:37
  are known as Starship. That's what it is.

  They are a fully. Reusable transportation system,
• 3:42
  designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit the Moon.

  Moon, Mars and Beyond. That's what it says on spacex's
• 3:50
  website. And Starship will be the world's
• 3:55
  most powerful launch vehicle. This is the most powerful
• 4:01
  vehicle ever developed. It'll carry in excess of 100
• 4:06
  metric, tons to Earth orbit. And SpaceX has been iterating on
• 4:12
  Starship very quickly. So, Starship is made out of
• 4:17
  steel, they can literally build it in a parking lot, and that's
• 4:22
  what they did. They had this big presentation
• 4:23
  recently, Elon Musk stood in front of it.

  It was like rapid fire development at this thing and
• 4:31
  they deployed it super-quick there's no guts in it.

  You know, if there's no, there's no Electronics or anything in it
• 4:39
  to actually launch the thing, but it looked amazing.

  And this is the one in Boca Chica Texas, right?

  So, that one is a pretty good representation of a Starships.

  Going to look like it's a fully reusable second stage.

  That's what Starship. The top part is, and it has an
• 4:57
  integrated payload section. So that's where the people will
• 5:03
  sit. So the very, very top of the
• 5:05
  rocket and on either. Side of the rocket.

  There's fins, Little Wings, actuated forward fins in this
• 5:13
  helps, it guided through the atmosphere and helps guide
• 5:17
  Starship back down to earth. When they land the thing, it has
• 5:22
  a 9 meter diameter. That's 30 feet.

  A 50 meter height which is 160 feet.

  Propellant, capability is 1,200, tons and payload capability is
• 5:33
  100 plus tons. That's crazy.

  It's huge, huge 100 plus tons. And one rocket super heavy which

  is the first stage which is the booster rocket.

  That's the Next Generation. Launch vehicle of SpaceX has a

  gross liftoff, mass of over 3 million kg and use a sub cooled.

  Liquid methane and liquid oxygen propellant, the booster will
• 5:59
  return to land, it's a launch site on it.

  Six legs, it has six Raptor engines in the top part.

  Art. So in Starship has six Raptor

  engines on the bottom of the rocket in.

  On the super heavy, they have 37 Raptor engines.

  There's a circle in the middle in the circle in the middle.

  They have seven engines and all around that.

  They have 30 other engines, may have six Landing legs on the

  bottom. This thing looks like it's

  straight out of a 50s science fiction movie.

  So this gigantic rocket, super heavy has a 9 meter diameter.

  It's 68 metres tall, 30 300, tons of propellant capability,
• 6:43
  and 72 million tonnes of thrust. So yeah.

  So that is kind of huge. Compared to the propellant
• 6:57
  capability of Starship on top, which is 1200 and super

  happiest. 3,300, absolutely amazing and immense immense.

  So let's go to the Starship uses Starship will be used to like I

  said before carry payloads and the top of this thing flips

  open. So where the people would be

  sitting there is It's kind of like a flip-top.

  You just pop it open. What doesn't pop?

  Open. It comes open slowly and the

  things inside of it deploy. So we have Starship and we can

  have starlink. So those are the things.

  Those are The Satellites that SpaceX will be flying into Earth

  orbit. Also, they use it for

  contractors, that use it for other people's payloads, like

  their satellites, they could use it for Space telescopes and they
• 7:58
  say here that they can use it for space telescopes larger than
• 8:01
  the James Webb Telescope and the James Webb is huge.

  They can send it to the space station.

  So not only Could they send a pot of seven people in the crew
• 8:14
  Dragon? That's their smaller version of
• 8:18
  the person transport that they'll be sending up to the
• 8:21
  space station, early of next year with two astronauts to NASA
• 8:26
  astronauts, they've already tested.

  It they've had a bunch of successful test with dragon and
• 8:32
  now, crew Dragon will be going up next year, but think about

  this. How much stuff could you put

  into a Starship? The forward payload volume is
• 8:42
  about you know it could carry a hundred people.

  So if you can get 100 people in it imagine what kind of payloads

  you can get in there. There's also aft cargo

  containers and they're going to be other payloads and it can
• 8:57
  dock directly with a space station SpaceX already has that

  technology. They've been doing it for years

  so they have been docking with the space station for years so
• 9:05
  they already have that capability so Starship could be
• 9:09
  the next Space station supplier. They could take it to the moon
• 9:15
  as well, returning to the moon and developing basis to support
• 9:18
  future space, exploration requires the transport of large
• 9:21
  amounts of cargo to the moon for research.

  In human, spaceflight development, a fully reusable
• 9:26
  Starship system is capable of supporting this effort by
• 9:29
  carrying the building blocks needed to enable a moon base and
• 9:32
  by informing the development of propulsive Landing systems to
• 9:35
  help realize this future. That's what it says on the
• 9:37
  SpaceX site, basically. Our ship can land on the Moon.

  It can deploy stuff, meaning, if they need supplies to build
• 9:47
  something, then you can put in Starship.
• 9:49
  If you need supplies to help people breathe.
• 9:52
  You can put that in Starship to and food and water, Etc.
• 9:57
  So Starship can do Moon missions, interplanetary
• 10:00
  transport. Now, this is the one that's
• 10:01
  really kind of crazy building moon bases in.

  Mars cities will require work, will require affordable delivery
• 10:08
  of significant Of cargo and people fully reusable Starship

  system uses in space, propellant, transfer to

  Starships, kind of docked together here that's what's the

  go pretty much engine to engine and they refuel.

  And then from there, when they're in orbit, they launched

  one of the Starships to Mars. So they could send 100 people on
• 10:35
  long-duration. Interplanetary flights.

  That's pretty crazy. Now, this is this being built in

  three different locations. There's one in McGregor Texas,

  which is a test facility that's rocket and spacecraft test site.

  That's where they're testing the Raptor engines and other
• 10:53
  components, and then there's Cameron County, Texas, this is
• 10:58
  where Boca Chica, right? So Boca Chica Texas.

  You probably heard about that. That's where they tested this,

  where the had the big Starship. Presentation, a couple weeks ago

  and then they have the Space Coast of Florida which they're
• 11:15
  building. Apparently today, this is kind
• 11:17
  of breaking news, but I want to I'm gonna get this out here.

  Somebody had witnessed another Starship being built in Texas so
• 11:25
  there's two being are in Florida.

  So there's two being built in Florida right now.
