Latest / Bleacher Report / NEW 2026 NFL Mock Draft | Every 1st-Round Pick After Free Agency and Trades
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's run through a new rapid fire mock draft for
- 0:02Speaker 1: the twenty twenty six NFL Draft, and number one overall
- 0:05Speaker 1: No surprise here, it's Fernanda Mendoza, the quarterback from Indiana.
- 0:09Speaker 1: The national champion and Heisman Trophy winner, goes number one
- 0:12Speaker 1: overall in this mock draft to a revamped Raiders roster
- 0:15Speaker 1: which looks pretty dang good after free agency. Here, so
- 0:19Speaker 1: I love the idea of the veteran Tyler Linderbaum the
- 0:22Speaker 1: center getting to work with the young quarterback in Fernando Mendoza.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I feel really good about that.
- 0:27Speaker 1: And I just feel really good overall about what the
- 0:30Speaker 1: Raiders are building.
- 0:31Speaker 2: At number two, it's the New York Jets.
- 0:32Speaker 1: They made a lot of moves in free agency which
- 0:34Speaker 1: I really like, and I feel like it sets them
- 0:36Speaker 1: up perfectly to draft Rvil Reese, the edge rusher from
- 0:40Speaker 1: Ohio State. This team's moving more towards an odd front defense,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and that's why Reese makes a lot of sense to me.
- 0:46Speaker 1: He can play that stand up outside linebacker role where
- 0:49Speaker 1: sure he's doing a lot of work on the line
- 0:51Speaker 1: of scrimmage as an edge rusher, but it also frees
- 0:54Speaker 1: him up to still be able to hunt the ball
- 0:56Speaker 1: on running downs and even in coverage a little bit too,
- 0:58Speaker 1: in those short areas where Rbel Reese is at his best.
- 1:02Speaker 1: At number three, the Arizona Cardinals, I think they could
- 1:05Speaker 1: go either side of the ball, but I'm going to
- 1:07Speaker 1: take linebacker Sonny Styles from Ohio State. The combine phenom
- 1:11Speaker 1: and one of the biggest risers in the twenty twenty
- 1:13Speaker 1: six NFL draft process. His presence on the Ohio State
- 1:17Speaker 1: defense allowed Caleb Downs, r Bill Reese, and so many
- 1:20Speaker 1: other playmakers to play with their hair on fire, to
- 1:23Speaker 1: play free and confidently because this dude was the cornerstone
- 1:27Speaker 1: in the middle. At number four, the Tennessee Titans have
- 1:30Speaker 1: been busy since free agency, adding a ton of new players,
- 1:32Speaker 1: specifically on the defensive side of the ball, and I
- 1:35Speaker 1: think that's all setting things up for them to be
- 1:38Speaker 1: the favorites to draft Jeremiah Love, the running back out
- 1:40Speaker 1: of Notre Dame. They've made a lot of different editions
- 1:43Speaker 1: on both sides of the ball. They have made some
- 1:45Speaker 1: splashes on the offensive side, bringing in Wandale Robinson, bringing
- 1:48Speaker 1: back Calvin Ridley, having the receivers that played well last year.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Wish him Ray dk and Alcayo Maner, But it's all
- 1:54Speaker 1: about building the best offense possible for cam Warden. The
- 1:57Speaker 1: way that you do that is you give him a
- 1:58Speaker 1: dynamic run game to feel confident with the guy who's.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Next to him in the backfield.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Jeremiah loves the best offensive player in this class, and
- 2:06Speaker 1: he can go to the Tennessee Titans as early as
- 2:08Speaker 1: number four overall at number five for the Giants, oh
- 2:11Speaker 1: no sunny styles, No Jeremiah love for them on the
- 2:15Speaker 1: board here, but I think they should be confident taking
- 2:17Speaker 1: a guy's talented as Carnel Taate, especially because of what
- 2:21Speaker 1: it could mean for Jackson Dart, their quarterback. When Jackson
- 2:24Speaker 1: Dart was at his best at Old Miss, he was
- 2:26Speaker 1: vertically stretching the field.
- 2:27Speaker 2: We know Moleague neighbors can do it when he's fully healthy.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Now you would have Carnell Tate, who is one of
- 2:32Speaker 1: the best deep threat wide receivers in all of college football.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Last season, he gets open consistently deep down the field
- 2:39Speaker 1: zero point zero drop right, despite being thrown into situations
- 2:43Speaker 1: where a lot of times it was those fifty to
- 2:44Speaker 1: fifty balls. But he's coming down with it because he's
- 2:46Speaker 1: that good and he's that natural of a deep threat
- 2:48Speaker 1: wide receiver. Think of what Isaiah likely Carnel Tate Laite
- 2:52Speaker 1: neighbors can be with this group man that is leaning
- 2:54Speaker 1: into what Jackson.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Dart does best.
- 2:55Speaker 1: At number six, Cleveland Browns now wide receivers a big
- 2:59Speaker 1: need for him. I also think offensive line is still
- 3:02Speaker 1: a big need for them, but I still think the
- 3:04Speaker 1: need a franchise caliber left tackle prospects. And when Roe Freeling,
- 3:08Speaker 1: the offensive tackle from Georgia one of the biggest risers
- 3:12Speaker 1: in this class and mention of Sony Styles is one
- 3:13Speaker 1: of them. Think when Roe Frieling is another one tested
- 3:16Speaker 1: fantastic when he was in Indianapolis at the Combine, he
- 3:19Speaker 1: showcased what a great athlete he is. He still got
- 3:22Speaker 1: some polish to work through as a true starting offensive
- 3:25Speaker 1: tackle in the NFL with him only being a true junior.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Making the jump here in this class, but oozing with
- 3:31Speaker 1: talent and somebody that I think Monkin would really like
- 3:34Speaker 1: to get on that offensive line to draft, develop and
- 3:37Speaker 1: feel good about the years moving forward.
- 3:38Speaker 2: At number seven, this is where the slide stops.
- 3:40Speaker 1: This is where the slide has to stop. Ruben Bains
- 3:42Speaker 1: got to get off the board at this time. I
- 3:44Speaker 1: think he is a fantastic football player. Arm length be damned,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I don't care. I saw him dominate as a run defender.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I saw him dominate as a pass rusher. Miami built
- 3:54Speaker 1: so much of what they did around this guy, and
- 3:57Speaker 1: I feel like Washington could get the same type of impacts.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Win percentage was so high, the solo run stop percentage
- 4:03Speaker 1: was high for Ruben Bain. He's a monster and I
- 4:05Speaker 1: think he's immediately the best defensive lineman on the Washington Commanders.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Number eight to the New Orleans Saints now with.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Them signing Travis a chand I feel as though they
- 4:13Speaker 1: did that because they know Jeremiah Love is not very
- 4:16Speaker 1: likely to get to them a number eight.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I think they need pass rusher as well.
- 4:19Speaker 1: David Bailey is still on the board, and I think
- 4:21Speaker 1: he's the guy that they need to go after here.
- 4:22Speaker 1: They lost some talent on the defense side of the
- 4:24Speaker 1: ball to Mario Davis Alontak Taylor, like they've lost some
- 4:27Speaker 1: guys in free agency that got to make sure that
- 4:29Speaker 1: pass rush is as good as it could possibly be.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And I think David Bailey, even if he's in a
- 4:34Speaker 1: pass rush rotation for now in New Orleans. That's what
- 4:37Speaker 1: Brandon Staley, their defensive coordinator, wants, waves of top tier
- 4:41Speaker 1: pass rushers.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Anytime you have that luxury, you're feeling good.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And he can win some football games for the Kansas
- 4:46Speaker 1: City Chiefs at number nine. This is one of two
- 4:48Speaker 1: selections that they have now in the first round after
- 4:50Speaker 1: they're trade with the Los Angeles Rams.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Caleb Downs on the board. I'm going Caleb Downs.
- 4:54Speaker 1: This is a perfect player for Steve Spagnolo, who does
- 4:57Speaker 1: so many different things on his defense. And he does
- 4:59Speaker 1: it because not only is you have physical players, he
- 5:01Speaker 1: has highly intelligent players football IQ and instincts awareness that
- 5:05Speaker 1: is the best of Caleb Downs. Some people all, right, well,
- 5:08Speaker 1: is he the athlete that you need him to be
- 5:09Speaker 1: to draft the safety this high?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Maybe not in.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Terms of his overall athleticism, but it didn't stop him
- 5:14Speaker 1: from making plays consistently against the best level of competition,
- 5:18Speaker 1: whether he was at Alabama or when he was at
- 5:21Speaker 1: Ohio State. Is one of the best players in all
- 5:22Speaker 1: college football. And I really do think he reminds me
- 5:25Speaker 1: so much of what Antoine Winfield junior does for the
- 5:27Speaker 1: Tampa Buccaneers. Playing free safety, playing strong safety, playing in
- 5:30Speaker 1: the slot. Caleb Downs could do it all at a
- 5:32Speaker 1: very similar size and athletic profile. We're going back to
- 5:35Speaker 1: back safeties here the back part of the top ten
- 5:38Speaker 1: because I'm going to have the Cincinnati Bengals taking safety
- 5:41Speaker 1: Dylan Thieneman from Oregon, another player who absolutely killed it
- 5:45Speaker 1: at the Combine.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Showcased explosiveness, fluidity, goes on field drills. I mean, they
- 5:51Speaker 2: were a thing of beauty. This dude.
- 5:53Speaker 1: He's been able to showcase eperdue and elite cover player,
- 5:56Speaker 1: especially as a free safety, A true single high free
- 5:58Speaker 1: safety this passion year at Oregon, downhill safety, that range
- 6:03Speaker 1: in run defense as well.
- 6:04Speaker 2: He showcased it all.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I know that the Cincinnati Bengals were active in
- 6:08Speaker 1: free agency, especially when it came to some of their
- 6:11Speaker 1: key needs on defense, safety being one of them. But
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't think that takes away from him being an
- 6:15Speaker 1: option for them at number ten. If he's the best
- 6:17Speaker 1: player available, which I feel like he is in this situation,
- 6:20Speaker 1: take him.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Make your secondary elite.
- 6:22Speaker 1: By trading Jalen Waddell, the Miami Dolphins put them in
- 6:25Speaker 1: position to draft two players in the first round this year.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But here with their first.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Pick at number eleven, I'm gonna go with the trench player,
- 6:31Speaker 1: Francis Malio. As we say in the NFL Stockings Games podcast,
- 6:33Speaker 1: low moving costs, all right, He's staying in Miami. Played
- 6:36Speaker 1: at Miami, was one of the best offensive linemen in
- 6:39Speaker 1: college football, specifically this past season. He was a four
- 6:42Speaker 1: and five star, so he's been starting for the last
- 6:43Speaker 1: couple of years.
- 6:44Speaker 2: But man, the way that this guy plays with power.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I know that Jeff Hapley, their new head coach, is
- 6:49Speaker 1: gonna love it. They've got a couple of tackles that
- 6:51Speaker 1: they feel good about, but I feel like they really
- 6:54Speaker 1: need to draft the player to be able to be a.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Long term starter guard for them over Joe.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And Savonaia and even a long term tackle option. I
- 7:02Speaker 1: feel like when you get Francis malanoa you have the
- 7:04Speaker 1: ability to do both of those things. So more of
- 7:07Speaker 1: that downhill power man and gab skiing run blocker type
- 7:11Speaker 1: of a player. But somebody who I think shows good
- 7:13Speaker 1: flexibility in this league as somebody who could.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Start at multiple spots for the Dallas Cowboys.
- 7:17Speaker 1: At number twelve, I'm gonna have them taking Mansor Delaine
- 7:19Speaker 1: in the cornerback from LSU.
- 7:21Speaker 2: They've got to Ron Bland.
- 7:22Speaker 1: They do have Sibone Revel, but they might be in
- 7:25Speaker 1: a situation where, now that they do have Kobe Durant
- 7:27Speaker 1: as well, they could have total flexibility with four corners
- 7:30Speaker 1: they feel great about if they're able to draft Mansor Delane.
- 7:33Speaker 1: He is viewed as one of the top twelve players
- 7:36Speaker 1: overall in this class, and so for him to get
- 7:38Speaker 1: to number twelve that might even be a stretch at
- 7:40Speaker 1: this point. But Dallas needing to get better in the secondary.
- 7:43Speaker 1: They could get a surefire starting outside corner with Mansor Delane.
- 7:47Speaker 1: What is less need going to do a number thirteen
- 7:49Speaker 1: overall for the Los Angeles Rams, I mean, the guy
- 7:51Speaker 1: has already traded a first round pick for Trent McDuffie,
- 7:54Speaker 1: gone all in on the secondary spot. I mean, they
- 7:57Speaker 1: are the Super Bowl favorites in my opinion going into
- 7:59Speaker 1: next season.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Spencer Fono, the offensive tackle from Utah. He moves so well,
- 8:04Speaker 2: he is so.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Athletic, so well coordinated, such a natural at the offensive
- 8:08Speaker 1: line that he can play all five spots. I truly
- 8:11Speaker 1: believe that he played a right tackle for Utah over
- 8:13Speaker 1: the last couple of years. Fantastic as a zone scheme blocker,
- 8:16Speaker 1: but I think he can play guard.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I think he could even play center for you.
- 8:19Speaker 1: At number fourteen, the Baltimore Ravens, I'm looking at the
- 8:22Speaker 1: offensive line here with the Baltimore Ravens. I'm gonna go
- 8:25Speaker 1: with Vega Owane, the offensive guard from Penn State, who
- 8:27Speaker 1: I think is an immediate starter here for this team.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You signed John Simpson, but you still got Andrew Bore
- 8:32Speaker 1: He's on the other side, and obviously you're trying to
- 8:34Speaker 1: fill the hole left by Tyler Linderbaum as well. To me,
- 8:37Speaker 1: Vega Owane gives you two guards that you feel fantastic
- 8:40Speaker 1: about and then hopefully that can help whoever is starting
- 8:43Speaker 1: at center for this team. Some of the best hands
- 8:46Speaker 1: in the draft when it comes to not only the
- 8:47Speaker 1: punches that he has at initial contact, but also resetting
- 8:50Speaker 1: and hand fighting against edge rushers. An interior defensive lineman,
- 8:54Speaker 1: He's somebody who plays with a lot of power, a
- 8:56Speaker 1: lot of patience.
- 8:56Speaker 2: He's an immediate starter for the Ravens offensive line.
- 8:59Speaker 1: At number fIF team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's been
- 9:02Speaker 1: a disappointing offseason for them when it comes to acquiring talent.
- 9:06Speaker 1: They really didn't make the big splashes at both linebacker
- 9:09Speaker 1: and pass rusher that they needed to.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Here they have the opportunity to do so.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Taking my edge to my second best edge rusher in
- 9:15Speaker 1: the draft, and that.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Is he Messador from Miami.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He is already a polished player. You drop him into
- 9:22Speaker 1: any situation and he is ready to go. The reason
- 9:25Speaker 1: why is because he wins with technique and fundamentals as
- 9:28Speaker 1: much as he does with athleticism. He's got good strength
- 9:31Speaker 1: to him at six foot three, two hundred and sixty
- 9:32Speaker 1: five pounds, one of the deepest pass rush bags of
- 9:35Speaker 1: any pass rusher that we have in this draft, probably
- 9:37Speaker 1: second only to his teammate in Ruben Bainn. I think
- 9:40Speaker 1: he is immediately the best pass rusher on the Buccaneers
- 9:43Speaker 1: and a player that they absolutely need given the losses
- 9:47Speaker 1: that they have had with usc wide receiver Mikayle Lemon
- 9:49Speaker 1: still being on the board here for the Jets, it's
- 9:52Speaker 1: hard for me to go anywhere else. I think he
- 9:54Speaker 1: is an easy plug and play type of a guy
- 9:56Speaker 1: next to Garrett Wilson and somebody who immediately becomes the
- 10:00Speaker 1: number two target getter on the New York Jets. He's
- 10:02Speaker 1: an Aaron Glenn type of player because he plays like
- 10:05Speaker 1: a dog man. I mean, whether it's blocking, whether it's
- 10:07Speaker 1: contested catch opportunities, and that's just not in short area
- 10:10Speaker 1: stuff either. This is a complete type of a wide receiver.
- 10:13Speaker 1: He's not going to play on the line of scrimmage
- 10:15Speaker 1: as an X outside the numbers for you all the time,
- 10:17Speaker 1: but as a move Z receiver as that's a lot receiver,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I think you can do a lot for you. For
- 10:22Speaker 1: the Detroit Lions at number seventeen, you can think about
- 10:24Speaker 1: offensive line here because there are some offensive linemen that.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Are still available BO. But with Hakadi Mohammadan in this
- 10:30Speaker 2: team anymore, I mean, who is it at edge rusher
- 10:32Speaker 2: outside of Aiden Hutcheson. They need somebody else.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So with chelvid folks still on the board, I feel
- 10:38Speaker 1: like he is a Lions type of player. Six foot
- 10:40Speaker 1: five two and seventy five pounds, this dude can hold.
- 10:43Speaker 2: The line of scrimmage.
- 10:45Speaker 1: One of the better run defending edge rushers that we
- 10:47Speaker 1: have in this entire draft class. But he's got flashes
- 10:49Speaker 1: of pass rush production and explosive ifs to him as well.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And best case scenario you've got two defensive linemen that
- 10:55Speaker 1: are going to be incredibly hard to stop if they
- 10:57Speaker 1: are both firing on all cylinders. At number eighteen for
- 10:59Speaker 1: the Minnesota Vikings, I'm gonna look at Emmanuel McNeil Warren,
- 11:02Speaker 1: the safety out of Toledo, a big time playmaker whether
- 11:05Speaker 1: it comes to forcing fumbles interceptions. I mean, this guy
- 11:09Speaker 1: was all over the field the last two years with Toledo.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I think you really honed in on some of those
- 11:14Speaker 1: over aggressive mentality and plays that he had, and he's
- 11:17Speaker 1: just he's so much more patient and in control now.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Now you get so much more of the good and
- 11:22Speaker 1: less of the regrettable plays. I think he is somebody
- 11:25Speaker 1: who you could plug in immediately to a safety room
- 11:28Speaker 1: that needs that major playmaker now that Harrison Smith is gone.
- 11:31Speaker 1: For the Carolina Panthers, big splashing in free agency address
- 11:34Speaker 1: two of their biggest needs an edgresher and linebacker with
- 11:36Speaker 1: Devin Lloyd and with Jalen Phillips, Kenyan Sadek tight end
- 11:40Speaker 1: from Oregon. I'm gonna make him my pick here for
- 11:42Speaker 1: the Panthers at number nineteen because he is a sort
- 11:45Speaker 1: of do everything type of a player. Then you can
- 11:47Speaker 1: trot out three receivers of Tetro McMillan, Kenyon Sadig, Jalen Cocher,
- 11:50Speaker 1: and Xavier Leget can be sort of just that vertical
- 11:54Speaker 1: threat receiver, which he does well when you're not asking
- 11:56Speaker 1: him to do the things that he does not do well.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So you need a why you need to tight end
- 12:00Speaker 1: who could start for you anyways if you're not leaning
- 12:02Speaker 1: into Jatavian Sanders, and I think this could be a
- 12:05Speaker 1: sneaky spot.
- 12:05Speaker 2: For the Oregon tight end.
- 12:06Speaker 1: With the Cowboys going cornerback at number twelve, I have
- 12:10Speaker 1: them going linebacker here because that's one of the areas
- 12:12Speaker 1: that Dallas did not do any If they draft CJ.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Allen the linebacker from Georgia, to me, he's an immediate.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Starter for us, like he is an immediate inside linebacker
- 12:21Speaker 1: starter for the Dallas Cowboys from day one, and I
- 12:23Speaker 1: think you saw reasons for that in his Georgia tape.
- 12:26Speaker 1: They gave him so much responsibility as the green dooc guy,
- 12:29Speaker 1: being the one who communicates from the defensive coordinator all
- 12:32Speaker 1: the way to the other team making those adjustments in
- 12:34Speaker 1: the pre snap. They asked a lot of him in
- 12:36Speaker 1: coverage as well. As run defense.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I think CJ.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Allen's an immediate starter for this Cowboys defense. And number
- 12:41Speaker 1: twenty one, I'm gonna give the Steelers more of a
- 12:44Speaker 1: long term pick here. Let's go Blake Miller, the offensive
- 12:47Speaker 1: tackle from Clemson, one of my favorite in this class,
- 12:50Speaker 1: somebody who I've liked a lot over the last couple
- 12:52Speaker 1: of years. He's got fifty four starts under his belt.
- 12:54Speaker 1: He has developed more and more, he has gotten stronger
- 12:56Speaker 1: as the years go on, and all those starts at
- 12:58Speaker 1: right tackle, I mean he could play right time, and
- 13:00Speaker 1: you could flip Troy Faltanho back to left tackle where
- 13:02Speaker 1: he played at Washington. If you don't believe in Roderick
- 13:06Speaker 1: Jones to be a starter for you anymore, that's why
- 13:08Speaker 1: you would make this pick here. Because Jones has struggled
- 13:11Speaker 1: throughout the majority of his NFL career.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Miller is somebody.
- 13:15Speaker 1: That he's got that experience where you could legitimately put
- 13:17Speaker 1: him in this year and not be too worried about
- 13:21Speaker 1: how he is going to fare as a rookie. So
- 13:23Speaker 1: for the Los Angeles Chargers at number twenty two, they
- 13:25Speaker 1: also needed tier defensive line and Caate McDonald from Ohio
- 13:28Speaker 1: state is on the board, and especially if they want
- 13:31Speaker 1: to have a guy head up against the center. Caate
- 13:34Speaker 1: McDonald is a perfect fifty, then I mean he's one
- 13:36Speaker 1: of the best run defenders in all of college football
- 13:38Speaker 1: at that exact role.
- 13:40Speaker 2: He had an elite grade in that category.
- 13:42Speaker 1: For the Chargers specifically, this would be a home run
- 13:46Speaker 1: type of a pick if they want to stay in
- 13:48Speaker 1: more of an odd front. For the Philadelphia Eagles number
- 13:50Speaker 1: twenty three, I'm not saying that aj Brown has played
- 13:52Speaker 1: his last down as an ear, but if he hasn't,
- 13:56Speaker 1: then I think the games remaining for him are in
- 13:59Speaker 1: the single digits.
- 14:00Speaker 2: That being said, get ahead of it. If you got
- 14:02Speaker 2: the chance to pick.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Omar Cooper Junior from Indiana here at number twenty three,
- 14:05Speaker 1: do it Omar Cooper Junior and Devonte Smith in the
- 14:08Speaker 1: same offense.
- 14:09Speaker 2: That is really nice.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I mean you could use those guys interchangeable in so
- 14:12Speaker 1: many different ways. Cooper Junior really great all round athlete,
- 14:16Speaker 1: good explosive. Is better explosive this than I thought when
- 14:18Speaker 1: we got to his combine performances. He's somebody who's got
- 14:21Speaker 1: a diverse release package off the line of scrimmage versus
- 14:24Speaker 1: press He's good in contest to catch situations. He's a
- 14:27Speaker 1: do it all type of a receiver and somebody that
- 14:28Speaker 1: I think the Eagles would love if they are subtracting
- 14:31Speaker 1: aj Brown from their depth chart and number twenty four
- 14:33Speaker 1: Cleveland Browns. Once again, we had them taken Moreau Friedling
- 14:35Speaker 1: at number six. Let's have them take Jordan Tyson, the
- 14:37Speaker 1: wide receiver from Arizona State here, in my opinion, the
- 14:40Speaker 1: most talented wide receiver in the class.
- 14:43Speaker 2: He can do it all. He's the best intermediate route runner.
- 14:45Speaker 1: The separation, the twitchiness that he has, the big playability,
- 14:49Speaker 1: it's all there for Jordan Tyson. The only worry that
- 14:51Speaker 1: you have really is the injury history. He's played four
- 14:55Speaker 1: years and he's been hurt for three of them, including
- 14:57Speaker 1: a hamstring injury this past year which kept him from
- 14:59Speaker 1: testing in Indianapolis at the combine. For the Chicago Bears
- 15:02Speaker 1: are number twenty five. They've got to get better on
- 15:04Speaker 1: the interior defense line, specifically in run defense. That's where
- 15:06Speaker 1: Christian Miller, the defense attacker from Georgia comes in. One
- 15:09Speaker 1: of the best run defenders in all college football this
- 15:11Speaker 1: past season, and he does it in a variety of
- 15:13Speaker 1: different ways, not just talent and size, but technique as well.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I mean, he is so smart for where the ball
- 15:18Speaker 1: was going. He knows where he needs to place his hands.
- 15:20Speaker 1: He utilizes leverage so well. Christian Miller is one of
- 15:23Speaker 1: my favorite prospects of this entire class. To me, he
- 15:25Speaker 1: is the least talked about good player in this draft class.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And I think that is he the flashy name for
- 15:31Speaker 1: the Bears to take it number twenty five.
- 15:33Speaker 2: No, but could he be the best? I absolutely believe that.
- 15:35Speaker 1: All right, the Buffalo Bills here at number twenty six.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I look at the fact that Buffalo is changing from
- 15:39Speaker 1: an even front to an odd front defense, and because
- 15:41Speaker 1: of that, I like Zion Young Gear, the edge.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Rusher from Missouri. The reason why is because he plays
- 15:46Speaker 2: with such great length and power.
- 15:47Speaker 1: You could play him in a four eye technique if
- 15:49Speaker 1: you want him at more of a defensive end spot.
- 15:51Speaker 1: But I also believe he could be an outside linebacker
- 15:54Speaker 1: for you as well. That on the line of scrimmage
- 15:56Speaker 1: type of outside linebacker. We saw that at the Senior Bowl.
- 15:59Speaker 1: We saw that throughout his tape. He just plays with
- 16:01Speaker 1: so much power, really great first step exposed to this
- 16:04Speaker 1: to him really diversified his passers bag this past year,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and he's a great run defender in all situations. Twenty
- 16:10Speaker 1: seven in the San Francisco forty nine Ers. The Trent
- 16:12Speaker 1: Williams situation is still one that is very intriguing to
- 16:15Speaker 1: me because if you move on from Trent Williams, old boy,
- 16:18Speaker 1: do you need an.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Offensive tackle badly.
- 16:19Speaker 1: But even if he's still on the team, he can
- 16:21Speaker 1: get upgrade of one of those guard spots. That's why
- 16:23Speaker 1: Cayden Proctor, the offensive lineman from Alabama, makes a ton
- 16:27Speaker 1: of sense for them.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I think he can play guard for you right away.
- 16:29Speaker 1: And then Trent Williams, whether this situation resolves itself with
- 16:32Speaker 1: him being on the Niners this year or not, he's
- 16:35Speaker 1: not getting any younger. So to have Trent Williams and
- 16:37Speaker 1: Caden Proctor on the same offensive line for Caden Proctor
- 16:40Speaker 1: to get to learn from an All Pro and Pro
- 16:43Speaker 1: Bowl type of player like Trent Williams, that's an ideal
- 16:46Speaker 1: scenario for whenever Trent Williams does decide to hang it.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Up, Caden Proctor you can slide right into that spot.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And number twenty eight, there's not a lot of spots
- 16:53Speaker 1: that I would think, Okay, Peter Woods in the first
- 16:56Speaker 1: round makes a ton of sense.
- 16:57Speaker 2: But for Houston, I think it does.
- 17:00Speaker 1: And Demico Ryan's defense, they're just looking to be one
- 17:04Speaker 1: gap attacking penetrators on the defensive line, and that's exactly
- 17:07Speaker 1: where Peter Woods was at his best in his freshman
- 17:09Speaker 1: and sophomore years at Clemson. This year more of that,
- 17:12Speaker 1: like nose tackle, hold the line of scrimmage. He didn't
- 17:15Speaker 1: really get as many opportunities to be a pass rusher,
- 17:18Speaker 1: but that's exactly where he is at his best when
- 17:20Speaker 1: you're talking about putting him.
- 17:21Speaker 2: In this type of defensive front.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Kansas City on the board again after drafting Caleb Downs
- 17:26Speaker 1: at number nine. Overall, I'm gonna stick with the second
- 17:27Speaker 1: area and I'm gonna go with Jamal McCoy, the cornerback
- 17:29Speaker 1: from Tennessee. Now, he didn't play at all this past
- 17:31Speaker 1: year because of an ACL injury, but what I saw
- 17:34Speaker 1: from him in twenty twenty four, that's better than any
- 17:36Speaker 1: corners tape that.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I saw here in twenty twenty five.
- 17:39Speaker 1: He's got the size, he's got the strength to be
- 17:40Speaker 1: able to play on the line of scrimmage, press coverage,
- 17:43Speaker 1: true man coverage, stuff, and I think that's gonna be
- 17:46Speaker 1: really really important for the Chiefs defense. Got another team
- 17:49Speaker 1: doubling up here in the first round is the Miami Dolphins.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Are back on the clock at number thirty. Cash is out,
- 17:53Speaker 1: the edge rusher from Texas am somebody who has had
- 17:55Speaker 1: an elite pass rush grade in each of the last
- 17:58Speaker 1: three seasons. I think I could be an excellent edition
- 18:01Speaker 1: for them. I think this is a good spot for
- 18:03Speaker 1: them to really address the defensive trenches after addressing the
- 18:06Speaker 1: offensive line.
- 18:06Speaker 2: At number eleven.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Thirty one on the New England Patriots outside linebacker pass rushing,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I think that is an area that the Patriots need
- 18:14Speaker 1: to improve.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Upon they want to get back to the Super Bowl
- 18:17Speaker 2: this upcoming season.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Malachi Lawrence, the edge rusher from UCF, has been one
- 18:22Speaker 1: of the biggest risers in this entire draft class. Really
- 18:25Speaker 1: nice as a pass rusher, elite pass rush grades against
- 18:29Speaker 1: true pass sets this past season, and he does so in.
- 18:32Speaker 2: A variety of different ways.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Fast and violent hands, a lot of really great pass
- 18:36Speaker 1: rush moves, utilizing long arm techniques.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I mean, when you just give him the green light
- 18:40Speaker 2: to go, he can get in the backfield.
- 18:42Speaker 1: And you saw that from a really good almost twenty
- 18:44Speaker 1: percent pass rus win percentage this past season. Finally, for
- 18:47Speaker 1: the Seattle Seahawks, Avion Terrell, the corner from Clemson.
- 18:51Speaker 2: He's a perfect.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Player for them given the fact that they're losing Rekilling.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I liked it they brought back Josh Job. I really
- 18:56Speaker 1: liked that move in between recoiling Josh Job.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I would have also prioritized Shoe and brought Joe back.
- 19:00Speaker 1: But you got Job on one side, if you got
- 19:02Speaker 1: Avion Terrell on the other. He rarely lets size be
- 19:05Speaker 1: an issue for him, especially when it comes to run defense.
- 19:08Speaker 1: One of the better run defending corners that we had
- 19:10Speaker 1: in the country this past season. He's somebody who could
- 19:13Speaker 1: force fumbles, grab interceptions. He plays with the mentality that
- 19:16Speaker 1: I know Mike McDonald is absolutely going to love. So
- 19:19Speaker 1: as secondary of job, Eman Worry, Damon Witherspoon, and Avion Terrell,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you feel good about the attitude and the playmaking ability
- 19:26Speaker 1: of all those guys. Those were our picks for our
- 19:28Speaker 1: rapid fire mock draft. Now it's time to hear yours.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Let us know in the comments.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Appreciate everybody watching
