- 0:12Speaker 1: Is the gold reform it. Welcome to the show and
- 0:16Speaker 1: more of our role in coverage of this amazing US election.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Donald Trump has won. There's stillmore county to come, but
- 0:25Speaker 1: Trump is president again in the most astonishing comeback. Democrat prosecutors.
- 0:30Speaker 1: They tried to get him jailed on dodgy chargers, two
- 0:33Speaker 1: would be assassins, try to kill him. Much of the
- 0:36Speaker 1: media tried to bury him. He won. They lost. Now, yes,
- 0:43Speaker 1: the county has not finished, but Trump seems to have
- 0:45Speaker 1: won all seven of the battleground states like Michigan, especially Pennsylvania,
- 0:49Speaker 1: probably Wisconsin too. That's given him maybe even three hundred
- 0:53Speaker 1: and fifteen electoral College votes in all, above the two
- 0:56Speaker 1: hundred and seventy he needed. And in fact, it looked
- 1:00Speaker 1: so hopeless so quickly that the Democrats sent home the
- 1:03Speaker 1: crowd at their campaign headquarters, with Harris once again dodging
- 1:08Speaker 1: the media and even her own supporters.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We will continue overnight to fight to make sure that
- 1:16Speaker 2: every vote is counted, that every voice has spoken.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So you won't hear.
- 1:23Speaker 2: From the Vice President tonight, but you will hear from
- 1:29Speaker 2: her tomorrow.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Oh cowardly, but what a stunning win from Donald Trump.
- 1:36Speaker 1: He seemed almost serene when he claimed victory well about
- 1:41Speaker 1: twenty minutes.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Ago, bragkly, this was I believe the greatest political movement
- 1:48Speaker 3: of all time. There's ever been anything like.
- 1:50Speaker 1: This in this country and maybe beyond.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And now it's going to reach a new level of
- 1:57Speaker 3: importance because we're going to help our country here.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We're going to help our country here.
- 2:04Speaker 3: We have a country that needs help, and it needs
- 2:08Speaker 3: help very badly. We're going to fix our borders, We're
- 2:12Speaker 3: going to fix everything about our country. And we've made
- 2:16Speaker 3: history for a reason tonight. And the reason is going
- 2:19Speaker 3: to be just that we overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible,
- 2:24Speaker 3: and it's now clear that we've achieved the most incredible
- 2:30Speaker 3: political there.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Look what happened?
- 2:32Speaker 4: Is this crazy?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Now among all the celebration, there's something very important I
- 2:42Speaker 1: think to note. Now that Donald Trump is America's president again,
- 2:46Speaker 1: we are now going to learn how much we were
- 2:49Speaker 1: lied to, not by Trump, but by the Democrats and
- 2:53Speaker 1: much of the media. Kamala Harris's entire campaign was based
- 2:56Speaker 1: on a monstrous fly that Donald Trump was a Hitler
- 2:59Speaker 1: fan and she was fighting for democracy. Her running mate,
- 3:03Speaker 1: the self Confessor knucklehead Tim Walltz called Trump a dictator
- 3:08Speaker 1: who would overturn the Constitution. Yeah, well, some Hitler, some racist.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You look now at the kind of voters that seemed
- 3:19Speaker 1: to have swung this election for Donald Trump, switching away
- 3:22Speaker 1: from the Democrats, Black voters, Latino voters, and Jewish voters
- 3:27Speaker 1: especially voting for this Nazi so called Like never before,
- 3:34Speaker 1: no Republican candidate in years has got their vote as
- 3:38Speaker 1: much as Trump.
- 3:41Speaker 5: It came from They came from all quarters, Union, non Union,
- 3:45Speaker 5: African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Arab American, Muslim, American.
- 3:53Speaker 3: We had everybody, and it was beautiful. It was a
- 3:57Speaker 3: historic realignment, gading citizens of all backgrounds around a common
- 4:04Speaker 3: core of common sense.
- 4:06Speaker 1: You know, that's the man that the Democrats in the
- 4:10Speaker 1: media tried to tell the world was a Nazi or
- 4:14Speaker 1: a Hitler sympathizer, a fascist. Yet that Democrat line did
- 4:18Speaker 1: work dangerously well. An NBC exit poll showed more than
- 4:22Speaker 1: half the Harris photucy their top issue was the state
- 4:25Speaker 1: of America's democracy. For the Republicans, of course, was the economy,
- 4:28Speaker 1: costs of living. But here is now my tip. After
- 4:31Speaker 1: consulting the evidence and consulting people work intimately with Trump
- 4:34Speaker 1: as a spokesman and the chief of staff, Attorney General.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Trump won't be a hitler or a dictator or any
- 4:40Speaker 1: of that. He'll just try to do exactly what he said.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Secure America's borders, cut taxes, cut red tape, defend Israel,
- 4:46Speaker 1: stand up to China, stand up to Iran, and drop
- 4:49Speaker 1: restrictions on fracking and gilling, drilling for gas. And with
- 4:51Speaker 1: a little luck, America's economy will grow as well as
- 4:55Speaker 1: it did in Trump's first go as president, and not
- 4:58Speaker 1: one freedom will be lost. The great live of the
- 5:01Speaker 1: Democrat campaign will be exposed. Where is that hitler? And
- 5:06Speaker 1: what are the Democrats are now going to say by
- 5:08Speaker 1: the next Republican candidate? What could they say that could
- 5:11Speaker 1: match this utter nonsense they've been saying about Trump? Who
- 5:15Speaker 1: will believe them? Who will believe the mainstream media which
- 5:18Speaker 1: didn't just sell Trump as an American dictator, but sold
- 5:21Speaker 1: the incompetent and vacuous Kamala Harris as the candidate of joy,
- 5:26Speaker 1: the savior of democracy. What a fraud that was. Most
- 5:30Speaker 1: American voters did not buy it. Now the Republicans are
- 5:33Speaker 1: actually set up for twelve years of the White House,
- 5:37Speaker 1: four years with President Trump and then another eight with
- 5:40Speaker 1: his running made after that. JD. Vance, the most impressive
- 5:43Speaker 1: and articulate candidate in this election, is still only forty
- 5:47Speaker 1: and even better for Trump, his victory is total. His
- 5:50Speaker 1: Republicans will have control of the Senate and probably of
- 5:53Speaker 1: the House of Representatives to so no democracy was not
- 5:58Speaker 1: threatened by this election. The Democrats were, and they have
- 6:01Speaker 1: been crushed after their most disgusting fraud of the campaign
- 6:05Speaker 1: and Trump's amazing re emergence unbelievable coming back from almost
- 6:13Speaker 1: literally the dead. Okay, but I want to be accused
- 6:21Speaker 1: of getting ahead of myself. Let's go down a Lisa
- 6:23Speaker 1: Nielsen and US correspond for the latest in the county
- 6:25Speaker 1: and Alyse, great to see you again. What can you
- 6:28Speaker 1: tell us about, Like I said, any prospect at all
- 6:33Speaker 1: that Kamala Harris, who is not conceded, can win.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Look, you don't have to concede to win, it's the
- 6:43Speaker 6: normal course of action. But frankly, at this point, there's
- 6:48Speaker 6: just not any path of the electoral college for Kamala
- 6:51Speaker 6: Harris to claim victory. And what we're looking at is
- 6:54Speaker 6: these trends across the board not just in the swing states,
- 6:57Speaker 6: but we're looking at it in the Senate races, We're
- 6:59Speaker 6: looking at it house. We're looking at the prospect of
- 7:01Speaker 6: potentially having Donald Trump back in the White House and
- 7:05Speaker 6: having control of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
- 7:08Speaker 6: This is an emphatic result, but I want to say
- 7:11Speaker 6: at the same time, it's not far off the polling
- 7:13Speaker 6: that we saw. And this is a feature of the
- 7:15Speaker 6: electoral college that you can have narrow results in swing
- 7:18Speaker 6: states that add up to a definitive result in the
- 7:21Speaker 6: electoral college vote, which you can see right there. This
- 7:25Speaker 6: is the comeback of our generation lifetime. I don't think
- 7:30Speaker 6: US politics has ever seen a comeback story like this.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Donald Trump survived multiple.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Legal cases, he survived two assassination attempts.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Years ago.
- 7:39Speaker 6: It was a story if anyone went to Mara Lago
- 7:42Speaker 6: to see the outcast Donald Trump. He's impeached, he's a felon,
- 7:47Speaker 6: and now he's going back to the White House. And
- 7:50Speaker 6: on January twentieth, he'll be swearing the oath at the
- 7:54Speaker 6: Capitol here behind me, and they'll be the handover with
- 7:57Speaker 6: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. And they made such an
- 8:01Speaker 6: issue when he skipped out on that it would be
- 8:04Speaker 6: so hypocritical for them to do the same thing.
- 8:08Speaker 7: Let's see if they do it.
- 8:09Speaker 6: And it's going to be a big message to the
- 8:11Speaker 6: American people if they do actually take part in that
- 8:13Speaker 6: handover of power.
- 8:17Speaker 1: That will be astonishing. As you say, it's an amazing story.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Where did he cobble it together? How did he get
- 8:25Speaker 1: this eke out this win? It's quite astonishing. We've got
- 8:29Speaker 1: to remember too, among all the other things, yet against them,
- 8:32Speaker 1: the Democrats raised one billion dollars US to fight this
- 8:38Speaker 1: election campaign, much more than Trump, and he still won.
- 8:43Speaker 1: So what did he do to win it? Do you think?
- 8:48Speaker 4: Well?
- 8:48Speaker 6: Look, I mean we know who voted by exit polls,
- 8:52Speaker 6: and so we know the votes that have been cast
- 8:54Speaker 6: by party lines. But when we start to analyze gender, race, class,
- 9:00Speaker 6: we look at income. That's all exit polling, and so
- 9:02Speaker 6: there's a little bit more interpretation in all of that.
- 9:05Speaker 7: We do know that men came out in strong numbers.
- 9:08Speaker 6: And I thought about this a lot when we were
- 9:10Speaker 6: meeting women on the ground, and especially the Harris campaign
- 9:13Speaker 6: was pushing this idea that women had to go vote
- 9:17Speaker 6: for Kamala Harris. Even if your husband hated her because
- 9:19Speaker 6: you could have a secret ballot. And I thought about
- 9:22Speaker 6: that a lot, because not a lot of people and
- 9:24Speaker 6: marriages will do that. Just lie to each other outright
- 9:27Speaker 6: and certainly without storializing too much. If anyone's going to
- 9:30Speaker 6: be lying, I'd say men are more likely to lie
- 9:33Speaker 6: and vote for Donald Trump and not tell their wife,
- 9:35Speaker 6: who wants to support.
- 9:36Speaker 7: Kamala Harris about it.
- 9:37Speaker 6: And I think that's going to play out a little
- 9:38Speaker 6: bit in the analysis we're seeing coming out after all
- 9:42Speaker 6: of this. But also we're talking about a generational divide.
- 9:46Speaker 6: I've just met so many young people who are so
- 9:48Speaker 6: desperately hard up because of the economy. They're being told
- 9:52Speaker 6: that the economy's great because there's so many jobs, and
- 9:56Speaker 6: that is simply not helping ends meet when people have
- 9:59Speaker 6: to take on multiple jobs to pay their bills. And
- 10:02Speaker 6: I know I've said this a few times today, but
- 10:05Speaker 6: it is the thing I took away from speaking to
- 10:07Speaker 6: people across the country. I met a young guy on
- 10:10Speaker 6: Saturday who is a consultant at a big four firm
- 10:14Speaker 6: who is a waiter. He was my waiter, and that's
- 10:18Speaker 6: how he's making ends. Meat that is not a healthy economy,
- 10:21Speaker 6: and that is not an environment where people feel like
- 10:24Speaker 6: they have much to aspire to. When they've been told
- 10:26Speaker 6: that the campaign's full of joy, they're not feeling the joy.
- 10:29Speaker 7: They're working too hard to feel the joy.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And least, I think your coverage of this campaign has
- 10:35Speaker 1: been brilliant. Thank you so much, indeed for your time tonight.
- 10:40Speaker 1: But let us go to Sean Spicer. He was Donald
- 10:42Speaker 1: Trump's first spokesman as president. He's been covering this bizarre
- 10:45Speaker 1: election race for us on this show, The Bolt Report,
- 10:49Speaker 1: all this year. Very glad to have him, particularly so
- 10:53Speaker 1: late at night. Sean, how are you feeling.
- 10:58Speaker 8: I'm exhausted physically, but I am emotionally so excited. Andrew,
- 11:04Speaker 8: it is three ten am here on the East Coast.
- 11:07Speaker 8: Donald Trump just wrapped up that speech that you guys saw.
- 11:10Speaker 8: It was funny because I was thinking, as you speaking
- 11:13Speaker 8: in twenty sixteen, it's almost the exact same time we
- 11:18Speaker 8: you know, he took the stage around two fifty am
- 11:21Speaker 8: in New York at that small, small reception at the
- 11:25Speaker 8: Midtown Hilton in Manhattan. And here we are again, much
- 11:29Speaker 8: bigger crowd down there in Palm Beach, but a lot
- 11:32Speaker 8: more excited and a bigger win.
- 11:34Speaker 4: You know, I had this pegged.
- 11:35Speaker 8: At three hundred and six to three hundred and twelve
- 11:38Speaker 8: electoral votes. I think we might even exceed that. This
- 11:40Speaker 8: is going to be a big, big night for Donald
- 11:42Speaker 8: Trump for the Republican ticket, and I couldn't be more
- 11:45Speaker 8: excited for the country.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, when you tipped to me that three hundred and twelve,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I thought you were getting a little over excited. But
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know, just underestimated.
- 11:59Speaker 4: I know.
- 12:00Speaker 8: But the thing that's interesting, Andrew, and you commented at
- 12:02Speaker 8: the beginning of your monologue there we were lied because
- 12:08Speaker 8: I don't just pull this stuff out of air. When
- 12:10Speaker 8: you and I spoke about this over weeks. Remember, initially
- 12:13Speaker 8: I was concerned about Nevada, and then I saw the
- 12:15Speaker 8: data move and I said, hey, here's why I'm moving
- 12:17Speaker 8: Nevada into the Trump column. It was all based on data, right.
- 12:21Speaker 8: I didn't just pull it out of air or say, God,
- 12:22Speaker 8: I'm a Trump supporter and I wanted to win, so
- 12:24Speaker 8: I'm going to pick a number out of the air.
- 12:26Speaker 4: And the media ignored that.
- 12:27Speaker 8: They lied to the American people over and over again
- 12:30Speaker 8: by convincing us that you know that he couldn't win
- 12:34Speaker 8: that the coalition that he was putting together was useless,
- 12:37Speaker 8: that his ground game was horrible.
- 12:40Speaker 4: They just didn't want to do that.
- 12:41Speaker 8: Panel after panel, show after show, refuses to allow the
- 12:45Speaker 8: American people to see that there are people out there
- 12:48Speaker 8: that support Donald Trump and these policies. But they want
- 12:50Speaker 8: to pretend that it doesn't exist, that it's some kind
- 12:52Speaker 8: of zoo animal that you go off in pet. Sometime,
- 12:55Speaker 8: the American people spoke loud and clear tonight. Not only
- 12:59Speaker 8: did Donald Trump win, but Kamala Harris got slacked right
- 13:04Speaker 8: and key constituencies that's supposed to support the Democratic Party
- 13:08Speaker 8: walked away from her. Black men in a lot of
- 13:11Speaker 8: urban areas didn't perform as well.
- 13:13Speaker 4: You look at not.
- 13:13Speaker 8: Just the battleground states Andrew, but states that are reliably blue.
- 13:18Speaker 8: My home state of Rhode Island. Unbelievable. It was fifty
- 13:22Speaker 8: three percent New Jersey, fifty two fifty three. Haven't looked Iowa.
- 13:26Speaker 4: They pulled. They told it.
- 13:27Speaker 8: They told us for the last few days that Kamala
- 13:30Speaker 8: Harris was up three points and they paraded around this
- 13:33Speaker 8: Des Moines Register pole saying that women were breaking, you know,
- 13:37Speaker 8: for her, and this was amazing. Donald Trump won Iowa
- 13:40Speaker 8: by fourteen points tonight, six points more than he won
- 13:43Speaker 8: in twenty twenty.
- 13:44Speaker 4: The media wanted to parade around that.
- 13:46Speaker 8: She was up three points. They wanted to create, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 8: suppress the vote. This was an embarrassment, and I think
- 13:53Speaker 8: they're going to wake up tomorrow and forget how complicit
- 13:55Speaker 8: they were and what happened tonight. Most Americans found what
- 13:58Speaker 8: the media did tonight said and for those people who
- 14:01Speaker 8: read the New York Times of the Washington Post or
- 14:03Speaker 8: Politico or CNN or the NBC News here in the States,
- 14:07Speaker 8: you know, at some point you've got to understand that
- 14:09Speaker 8: they're not telling you the truth and you need to
- 14:12Speaker 8: find alternative sources to get your information.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh. I think that's a huge story in this, in
- 14:18Speaker 1: this result. And I've got to say, you know, even
- 14:21Speaker 1: our own ABC devoted I think about a ten minute
- 14:24Speaker 1: interview this morning with the polstery did that Iowa? Oh,
- 14:27Speaker 1: Donald Trump's going to win a lose Iowa by three
- 14:30Speaker 1: points or what? Everything else? And as you say, he prompt
- 14:33Speaker 1: it in they're picking up any little hint to try
- 14:36Speaker 1: to build up the idea that she had momentum. It's
- 14:39Speaker 1: just extraordinary. But as Sean this. This is a massive
- 14:44Speaker 1: victory for Trump. Of course for the Democrats. I wonder
- 14:48Speaker 1: whether this should really cause an explosion in that party
- 14:52Speaker 1: because those Democrat power brokers, they forced out Joe Biden
- 14:57Speaker 1: as their candidate when he imploded in his debate with
- 15:00Speaker 1: Donald Trump. They they enforced Harris onto the parties. They
- 15:03Speaker 1: can it without even a vote of any delegates, even
- 15:05Speaker 1: though she'd be one of the most unpopular vized presidents
- 15:07Speaker 1: of recent history. And they knew she was no good,
- 15:10Speaker 1: which is why they hit it from the media for
- 15:12Speaker 1: almost the entire campaign, particularly not one press conference there.
- 15:16Speaker 1: It's going to be a lot of finger pointing there.
- 15:20Speaker 8: You know what, Andrew, it's a great question you're asking
- 15:22Speaker 8: because I've had guests on my podcast last few days
- 15:25Speaker 8: and I've been playing this little game if Trump were
- 15:28Speaker 8: to lose, what do you think the analysis is and
- 15:30Speaker 8: vice versa.
- 15:31Speaker 4: I think it's going to.
- 15:32Speaker 8: Be really interesting with the media and the left uses
- 15:35Speaker 8: the excuse one do they claim, well, it was China
- 15:39Speaker 8: or Iran, or North Korea or Russia. They already used
- 15:41Speaker 8: the Russia hoak, so I don't know that they can
- 15:43Speaker 8: use that twice. But I think that it's going to
- 15:46Speaker 8: be someone, you know, is there's no way that this
- 15:49Speaker 8: possibly could have happened.
- 15:50Speaker 4: So who do we blame for this? Then they're gonna
- 15:52Speaker 4: blame Biden.
- 15:53Speaker 8: Then they'll blame Harris, and then I think you're going
- 15:55Speaker 8: to see the progressive wing of the party, the Bernie Sanders,
- 15:57Speaker 8: the Alexandria Casio Kortez saying that she just went is
- 16:00Speaker 8: it progressive enough, and that they need to attack further
- 16:02Speaker 8: to the left. I will be fascinated to see other
- 16:05Speaker 8: The real answer is they lost touch with the American people.
- 16:08Speaker 8: The American people don't want open borders. They don't want
- 16:11Speaker 8: to be told that it's price gouging, not the policies
- 16:14Speaker 8: of the left that are causing massive inflation throughout our country,
- 16:17Speaker 8: still affecting the cost of everyday goods for so many Americans.
- 16:21Speaker 8: Who I will be interested to see whether they even
- 16:24Speaker 8: try to come up with a real reason why this
- 16:26Speaker 8: didn't work, or whether they just make excuses for themselves
- 16:28Speaker 8: and move on.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Well, I think Sean that if everything goes well, I mean,
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know, barring international crises, barring some unforeseen scan all
- 16:43Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. But Trump's win puts the Republicans
- 16:48Speaker 1: in line for twelve years now in the White House.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Trump can only serve this one more term, having already
- 16:54Speaker 1: been president. Once that sets up, the man is going
- 16:57Speaker 1: to be his vice president JD. Vance, who I think
- 17:00Speaker 1: was the most impressive performer of the four candidates, the
- 17:03Speaker 1: two presidential and two vice presidential, and he could and
- 17:07Speaker 1: should then win two terms himself as president. This is
- 17:11Speaker 1: a golden time potentially for the Republicans.
- 17:14Speaker 4: It is because Jedi Vance, you know, you've got Trump.
- 17:17Speaker 8: He'll bring in the America First Agenda and I think
- 17:21Speaker 8: really have a different focus than he did that first term.
- 17:23Speaker 8: But then Jdi Vance, you know, he just turned forty
- 17:26Speaker 8: two months ago. He's going to bring a youthfulness and
- 17:30Speaker 8: a new generation perspective to this. So this is a
- 17:32Speaker 8: perfect handoff of the baton, if you will, of the
- 17:35Speaker 8: America First Agenda to a younger generation, and he'll be
- 17:38Speaker 8: ready to move forward.
- 17:39Speaker 4: But I'm excited about not.
- 17:40Speaker 8: Just what President Trump will do this first four years,
- 17:42Speaker 8: but then this transition from Trump to Vance.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Now Trump the dictator, Now that was Harris's big claim, right,
- 17:51Speaker 1: He's a Hitler fan, as a tyrant, his democracy is
- 17:56Speaker 1: under threat. The media ran with that too, most of it.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Trump is now going to prove that is a lie.
- 18:02Speaker 1: He won't be a dictator. That's going to expose a
- 18:05Speaker 1: lot of people. Do you expect some serious soul searching
- 18:10Speaker 1: in the Democrats or in the media because people aren't
- 18:15Speaker 1: going to buy this kind of rubbish second time round.
- 18:19Speaker 4: I hope not.
- 18:19Speaker 8: I think, as I said, the Democratic Party will be
- 18:21Speaker 8: interesting to see whether or not it's real or not.
- 18:23Speaker 8: I was at the Republican National Committee when in twenty
- 18:27Speaker 8: twelve after we lost, we did a lot of soul searching.
- 18:29Speaker 8: We looked at how we did business as a party
- 18:32Speaker 8: and said what can we do better to win? And
- 18:34Speaker 8: I think despite some of the media misinterpretation as to
- 18:37Speaker 8: what that report looked like, we talked about outsourcing and
- 18:42Speaker 8: better utilizing third party organizations to do a lot of
- 18:45Speaker 8: the mechanical logistic thing. I think that paid off. Think
- 18:47Speaker 8: about what's going on now in terms of the ground game.
- 18:50Speaker 8: But secondly, you bring up the media. I was there
- 18:54Speaker 8: in twenty sixteen after the election when senior executives from
- 18:58Speaker 8: NBC News admitted that they missed it and said that
- 19:00Speaker 8: they were going to correct it. I don't think they will.
- 19:03Speaker 8: I think they had a chance to do it after
- 19:06Speaker 8: Donald Trump won in twenty sixteen, even after the election
- 19:09Speaker 8: was close in twenty twenty, they've doubled down on stupid
- 19:13Speaker 8: and I don't think that there's this election is going
- 19:15Speaker 8: to be any different. I think they'll make excuses, but
- 19:18Speaker 8: they don't want to. They don't like Donald Trump. They
- 19:21Speaker 8: hate Donald Trump. They hate people who support Donald Trump.
- 19:24Speaker 8: You saw that the coverage leading up to them. There's
- 19:26Speaker 8: no way that all these people who went all in
- 19:30Speaker 8: basically spreading this information about where the race stood and
- 19:34Speaker 8: the support that Donald Trump have are suddenly going to
- 19:36Speaker 8: have a come to Jesus moment tomorrow.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Not gonna happen.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I would have thought they'd be ashamed of misreading the electorates.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Bet no, no, no, no, they're not ashamed.
- 19:47Speaker 8: They'll come up with an excuse. They'll come up with it.
- 19:49Speaker 8: They're not ashamed of it. They have no shame. They
- 19:52Speaker 8: literally will wake up tomorrow and make an excuse up
- 19:55Speaker 8: and again, I think they'll be the first to figure
- 19:56Speaker 8: out some country or outside entity or Martians down an
- 20:00Speaker 8: influence of selection because it wasn't them for certain.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Just finally, Sean, we've talked about this before. Donald Trump
- 20:10Speaker 1: let's face it, he has got an ego. There's got
- 20:12Speaker 1: a lot to be egotistical about, even now, particularly now,
- 20:15Speaker 1: I would have thought, but self willed and all that,
- 20:18Speaker 1: you give him advice and he can just trample all
- 20:21Speaker 1: over it. And you know a lot of enforced theres
- 20:23Speaker 1: in this campaign as well. I don't think the election
- 20:25Speaker 1: should have been as close as it was. But how
- 20:29Speaker 1: do you think this win then is going to change
- 20:32Speaker 1: Donald Trump?
- 20:36Speaker 8: You know, Andrew, this is a good question because I
- 20:40Speaker 8: think that he may may think about his legacy. How
- 20:45Speaker 8: do I want to go down in history? And this
- 20:48Speaker 8: could be an opportunity.
- 20:50Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 20:51Speaker 8: I think we've seen Donald Trump. I don't think you're
- 20:53Speaker 8: going to see that much different. But I think that
- 20:54Speaker 8: there's a point at which we all I mean, look,
- 20:56Speaker 8: he had a come, he had his own brush with death.
- 21:00Speaker 8: That assassination attempt merely you know, almost took his life.
- 21:04Speaker 8: And I think now winning in the way that he did,
- 21:07Speaker 8: there's an effect that it has on people to think
- 21:09Speaker 8: about their legacy. And so hopefully he stops and says, okay,
- 21:14Speaker 8: how can I govern maybe a little differently, Not that
- 21:16Speaker 8: I want him to do. I'm just saying that I
- 21:18Speaker 8: think that there's always a moment of reflection, and he's
- 21:20Speaker 8: going plenty of time between now and January twentieth to
- 21:23Speaker 8: do that.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I think there's no more big battles for him to winnie.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Can't be president another time after this, And so maybe
- 21:31Speaker 1: I think you're right. I think you will be tempted
- 21:33Speaker 1: to look at his legacy instead not builting someone to
- 21:37Speaker 1: the canvas. But we shall see showing that sponsor, you
- 21:41Speaker 1: have called this brilliantly over the journey. We'll see you
- 21:43Speaker 1: again next week. But thank you so much for your
- 21:46Speaker 1: analysis tonight.
- 21:47Speaker 4: It's been a pleasure being with you.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Next temperature of the good on you, mate. We don't
- 21:54Speaker 1: go anywhere. Our coverage of the US election continues after
- 21:56Speaker 1: the break. James Barra joins this lide from North Carol, Carolina,
- 22:01Speaker 1: because we've got to really drill down into the lying
- 22:05Speaker 1: that went on about Donald Trump. Americans were told that
- 22:12Speaker 1: Donald Trump was a hitler, a dictator, a convicted felon,
- 22:17Speaker 1: a rapist, and their democracy was in danger.
- 22:21Speaker 9: We are fighting for a democracy.
- 22:23Speaker 10: We are fighting for a democracy Democrat.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Prosecutors even tried to put Trump in jail, using every
- 22:33Speaker 1: dirty trick in the book, yet Americans still voted for him.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Joining me from North Carolina, Iscar and New's host James Morrow. James,
- 22:42Speaker 1: great to see you again, particularly that time of night.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Why did the Democrats in the media fail to destroy
- 22:50Speaker 1: a man they described as a convicted felon rapist and
- 22:54Speaker 1: a threat to democracy.
- 22:58Speaker 11: Oh, it's a great question, and you have to start
- 23:00Speaker 11: at the beginning with all of this, of course, you know,
- 23:02Speaker 11: because when Trump came to power in twenty sixteen, it
- 23:05Speaker 11: was because Americans fundamentally felt that there was something wrong
- 23:09Speaker 11: with the way the establishment, the left captured establishment, and
- 23:12Speaker 11: I'm talking about politics. Many corporate suites, much of the media,
- 23:17Speaker 11: all of academia, all of the schools, and a lot
- 23:20Speaker 11: of other big.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Organizations were performing for them.
- 23:22Speaker 11: You know, the economy wasn't working for them, Immigration wasn't
- 23:25Speaker 11: working for them, Trade wasn't working for them. And they
- 23:27Speaker 11: saw that the game was rigged. So you know, what
- 23:30Speaker 11: did they do. From twenty sixteen to twenty twenty, They
- 23:33Speaker 11: tried to take them out of power.
- 23:34Speaker 1: It didn't work.
- 23:35Speaker 11: From twenty twenty on to twenty twenty four, they tried
- 23:37Speaker 11: to put them in jail and did everything else. Oprah
- 23:40Speaker 11: Winfrey the other day said that if Donald Trump wins
- 23:43Speaker 11: this election, it will be the last chance Americans have
- 23:46Speaker 11: to cast a ballot instead of just simply saying, hey,
- 23:50Speaker 11: we're in power and we're not serving our constituents, we
- 23:53Speaker 11: might change tack on things around migration or trade or
- 23:57Speaker 11: culture wars or whatever the thing. They just said, No, no, no,
- 24:01Speaker 11: this guy is our Emmanuel Goldstein. He is the enemy
- 24:04Speaker 11: that must be destroyed. And that's great for people who
- 24:07Speaker 11: are in that club, you know, because they've got somebody
- 24:09Speaker 11: who they can say, oh, well, yeah, this is what
- 24:11Speaker 11: we hate. But you know, as the election results show,
- 24:14Speaker 11: you know, you have forty percent of people maybe hate
- 24:16Speaker 11: Donald Trump, you know, really hate the guy, but that's
- 24:18Speaker 11: not gonna be enough to get you enough extra votes
- 24:21Speaker 11: to get you over the line. And the whole thing
- 24:24Speaker 11: about the lying and the telling, the lies, of the character, assassination,
- 24:27Speaker 11: of the destruction, it's because ultimately Trump was pushing up
- 24:32Speaker 11: against an establishment that was, you know, a great, big,
- 24:35Speaker 11: hollow edifice. There's nothing inside it in terms of anything
- 24:38Speaker 11: to offer anybody, and so he was able, I think,
- 24:41Speaker 11: to stand up to this and win.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah. I think you're right that they didn't have much.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Keavila Harris didn't offer much to unify people in terms
- 24:51Speaker 1: of something positive, so she unified them by hate, you know,
- 24:55Speaker 1: two minute hate against Trump or like a two months
- 24:59Speaker 1: hate against him. And I just wonder, particularly with the
- 25:02Speaker 1: media falling for this, isn't the lesson for the Democrats
- 25:06Speaker 1: in this and also the left in Australia, Humility, James, Humility,
- 25:12Speaker 1: stop treating half the voters of the country as racists,
- 25:16Speaker 1: as fascists, as garbage.
- 25:22Speaker 11: Yeah, well, you know that's correct. And one of the
- 25:24Speaker 11: really interesting things we're seeing out of some of the
- 25:26Speaker 11: exit pool results here is that, you know, all of
- 25:30Speaker 11: these minority groups which Democrats had taken for granted, are
- 25:33Speaker 11: really starting to shift towards Trump and the Republicans. And
- 25:37Speaker 11: this is part of a fundamental realignment that's happening in
- 25:40Speaker 11: the political system. And I think it's happening here too,
- 25:43Speaker 11: because you know, all of these groups that the Democrats
- 25:46Speaker 11: had counted on, they realize that this compact of the
- 25:49Speaker 11: Democrats and the left offers them, you know, which is
- 25:51Speaker 11: really just about you know, low wages, high crime dysfunction,
- 25:56Speaker 11: you know, culture wars, ninety mist of the schools. It
- 25:59Speaker 11: doesn't work for them, lift their migrants and their newcomers
- 26:01Speaker 11: and trying to make it in the country. And there's
- 26:03Speaker 11: some lessons here also, I think for Anthony Albertizi and Labor,
- 26:07Speaker 11: who have been trying to run some real players out
- 26:10Speaker 11: of the Biden playbook. We saw on the Queen'sland election.
- 26:12Speaker 11: You know, let's whip up fear about abortion restrictions, you know,
- 26:15Speaker 11: and you know, ripping off Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness.
- 26:19Speaker 11: You know, all of these things didn't work for the Democrats.
- 26:22Speaker 11: And if Labor is also concurrently out of ideas in Australia,
- 26:27Speaker 11: which it seems like they are, you know, don't rip
- 26:29Speaker 11: off these ideas because they don't work for you.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I think that's right. Look, I think the Democrats are
- 26:36Speaker 1: also going to have to confront they on Earth. They
- 26:38Speaker 1: ended up with the candidate so terrible as Harris. Another
- 26:40Speaker 1: result was relatively close, and yet I mean that ignores
- 26:46Speaker 1: the advantages and incumbascy, the hatred that's been poured on
- 26:50Speaker 1: Trump for so long, the massive amounts of money the
- 26:53Speaker 1: Democrats are going for them, the incredible media support the
- 26:57Speaker 1: Democrats had, and the vilification don Trump and also Trumps
- 27:02Speaker 1: some false theirs. I've got to say, I thought he
- 27:04Speaker 1: campaigned raggedly, and yet you know, but they had in Harris,
- 27:09Speaker 1: someone who had almost no policies, had almost no clue,
- 27:14Speaker 1: who was too scared to give a single press conference,
- 27:17Speaker 1: who was just trained to perform the same script written
- 27:21Speaker 1: for her by faceless background people with the same platitudes
- 27:26Speaker 1: and even the same gestures. Have a look at this.
- 27:29Speaker 7: Are you ready to make your voices her?
- 27:34Speaker 9: Do we believe in free arm? Do we believe in
- 27:39Speaker 9: our journey?
- 27:57Speaker 1: That's the thing. They campaigned with an empty vessel. It
- 28:00Speaker 1: couldn't connect on a human level with voters, didn't Is
- 28:03Speaker 1: that the case?
- 28:04Speaker 7: Well?
- 28:05Speaker 11: Yeah, well, yes, completely the case. I mean, I remember
- 28:07Speaker 11: in twenty twenty, Kamala Harris bombed out of the primaries
- 28:10Speaker 11: when she tried to run for president on her own
- 28:12Speaker 11: right in twenty twenty because she was so utterly unlikable.
- 28:15Speaker 11: She came to the vice presidency because they needed to
- 28:18Speaker 11: balance the ticket. And then you know, they tried to
- 28:21Speaker 11: do this weird thing where they tried to flip out
- 28:24Speaker 11: the presidential candidate do kind of a parliamentary sort of thing,
- 28:27Speaker 11: like you's seen a parliamentary government almost you know, putting
- 28:30Speaker 11: a new leader and then speed run them to an
- 28:32Speaker 11: election to hope you get through. You know, that's what
- 28:33Speaker 11: they were trying to do here. And we've seen this
- 28:35Speaker 11: happen in kind of end of term governments in Australia
- 28:38Speaker 11: as well. It doesn't work, so, you know, it was
- 28:41Speaker 11: an active desperation, the fact that they talk about democracy
- 28:45Speaker 11: and yet obviated this fundamental American democratic principle, which is
- 28:50Speaker 11: that nominees are vetted by this primary and caucus process
- 28:53Speaker 11: so that you know, people understand who they are, and
- 28:56Speaker 11: then tried to subvert essentially the press by doing and
- 29:00Speaker 11: then run around them and not talking to the video
- 29:02Speaker 11: which they keep saying, oh, you know, the first moment
- 29:04Speaker 11: there's a check on American darks and all this was,
- 29:06Speaker 11: you know, but then completely ignoring it. You know, it's
- 29:08Speaker 11: the height of hypocrisy.
- 29:10Speaker 1: No one are they lost. I just think there's going
- 29:14Speaker 1: to be a lot of finger pointing going on here, James.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I believe that Barrick and Barack Obama and Michelle Obama
- 29:22Speaker 1: didn't necessarily want Kamala Harris at all. Other grandees foisted
- 29:27Speaker 1: her on them. There was a thought that oh, my gosh,
- 29:30Speaker 1: we can't you know, give, you know, stop a black
- 29:34Speaker 1: woman from getting her chance. That would be racist and
- 29:38Speaker 1: they paid for it. James Mura, thank you so much,
- 29:41Speaker 1: indeed for your election coverage this week and coming on
- 29:46Speaker 1: the show so late at night. I really appreciate it.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Anthony Albanezi issued a statement on Trump's victory. He says,
- 29:54Speaker 1: congratulations to President Donald Trump on his election victory. Australians
- 29:59Speaker 1: an American are great friends and true allies. Working together,
- 30:04Speaker 1: we can ensure the partnership between our nations and people's
- 30:07Speaker 1: remain strong in the future. Completely anodyne and we don't
- 30:12Speaker 1: forget that. Anthony Albaneze has slagged off Donald Trump what
- 30:16Speaker 1: was at a festival seven years ago, and has got
- 30:19Speaker 1: an ambassador in Washington who said even worse things about Trump,
- 30:23Speaker 1: that he was a menace to democracy, he was using
- 30:27Speaker 1: the Bible to condone violence, he was playing nuts. Let's
- 30:30Speaker 1: see if Kevin rud can maintain his position as our
- 30:35Speaker 1: ambassador to any good effect for Australia. After the break,
- 30:41Speaker 1: After the break, I've got to talk to you about
- 30:44Speaker 1: something that is really positive about what Donald Trump did,
- 30:49Speaker 1: really positive. And Ron Deine is exactly the right person
- 30:52Speaker 1: to talk about it. After this, let me explain why
- 31:01Speaker 1: the victory of Donald Trump is actually great news for
- 31:04Speaker 1: conservatives here as well, and by conservatives, I of course
- 31:08Speaker 1: exclude George Brandis, who was our attorney liberal attorney general,
- 31:15Speaker 1: liberal attorney general, who wrote a piece in the Sydnema
- 31:18Speaker 1: Herald Trump dodged a bullet let's hope the world does too,
- 31:22Speaker 1: and he loses, and an article mentioned the words fascist
- 31:26Speaker 1: and demagogue, and the whole thing, in fact, in fact,
- 31:30Speaker 1: celebrate the defeat of Kamala Harris is also a defeat
- 31:34Speaker 1: of the horrendous woke army that's been running right in
- 31:38Speaker 1: the West, including here, for years. And I think it's
- 31:42Speaker 1: impossible to exaggerate just what a woke icon Harris would
- 31:46Speaker 1: have become had she been allowed to steal this election
- 31:49Speaker 1: with a Trump Is Hitler lie. For a start, she
- 31:54Speaker 1: was the identity politics candidate, campaigning as a black woman
- 31:58Speaker 1: for black audiences and as an Indian one for Indians
- 32:01Speaker 1: and changing her accident again if she was talking to
- 32:04Speaker 1: university graduates. So she literally bent the knee to the
- 32:08Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement, a movement that had torched many
- 32:12Speaker 1: cities and even touted for donations for bail money to
- 32:17Speaker 1: free some of the rioters. Trump, in contrast, is ruthlessly
- 32:21Speaker 1: pragmatic and color blind. Your performance is everything to him,
- 32:26Speaker 1: your race is not. I mean, just look at the
- 32:28Speaker 1: entrepreneurs is surrounded himself with On. There's a campaign Elon
- 32:31Speaker 1: Musk and Vividka Ramaswami. Has Trump ever made a point
- 32:35Speaker 1: of Ramaswami also having Indian descent or his running mates
- 32:40Speaker 1: her wife also. And then there's Harris's woke beliefs. Most obviously,
- 32:47Speaker 1: she didn't get how important borders really are to her country.
- 32:52Speaker 1: She led in ten million immigrants when she was actually
- 32:54Speaker 1: charged with turning them back as vice president and all
- 32:57Speaker 1: that crazy stuff. You know. This is the polo tician
- 33:00Speaker 1: who wants boasted how she got tax pays to pay
- 33:03Speaker 1: for sex changes for prisoners and back doing the same
- 33:07Speaker 1: for illegal immigrants.
- 33:09Speaker 10: I made sure that they changed the policy in the
- 33:12Speaker 10: state of California so that every transgender in me in
- 33:17Speaker 10: the prison system would have access to the medical care
- 33:21Speaker 10: that they desire to need.
- 33:25Speaker 1: This is the vice president who center birthday cand to
- 33:27Speaker 1: Dilan Mulvaney, the struggling actor who turned himself into an
- 33:31Speaker 1: Internet sensation announcing him become a woman, scoring an invitation
- 33:36Speaker 1: even to the Biden White House. That's the same White
- 33:38Speaker 1: House or the administration that even boasted about appointing a
- 33:41Speaker 1: transgender admiral and had transgender activists flauned themselves bare breast
- 33:47Speaker 1: of the White House garden Party. Now Harris is also
- 33:52Speaker 1: and this is most important, the global warming warrior who
- 33:56Speaker 1: wants vowed to banfracking for gas. Trump, on the other hand,
- 34:01Speaker 1: use exactly that stupid comment to campaign against Harrison the
- 34:05Speaker 1: key state of Pennsylvania lots of gas and coal and
- 34:10Speaker 1: all coal Marne in particular, and that was the crucial
- 34:13Speaker 1: battle battleground state that she's now lost. And what's more,
- 34:17Speaker 1: he has promised to rip up the Barden Harris global
- 34:20Speaker 1: warming schemes. In fact, Trump promises to be all around
- 34:24Speaker 1: the enemy of the woke, promise to ban the diversity
- 34:29Speaker 1: schemes in the public service. And it's going to be
- 34:31Speaker 1: sure to resist the grown cause by authoritarian governments, including
- 34:34Speaker 1: our own government, to restrict the free speech on the internet.
- 34:39Speaker 1: So Trump's win is one for us here as well
- 34:42Speaker 1: for all friends of freedom and opponents of the new
- 34:46Speaker 1: tribalism that's been dividing us for too long. Joining me
- 34:51Speaker 1: is Ron den It's in chief of The Spectator Australia
- 34:53Speaker 1: host of Outsiders the Sky News every Sunday at nine am,
- 34:56Speaker 1: and a man with a big grin on his face
- 34:57Speaker 1: because he predicted this win months ago, Rowan Dean, Great
- 35:03Speaker 1: to see you again. Trump's win. How important do you
- 35:06Speaker 1: think it is?
- 35:09Speaker 12: It's hugely important and not just correct you.
- 35:12Speaker 13: I actually predicted a landslide win for Trump three years
- 35:15Speaker 13: ago and I haven't deviated from that over the last
- 35:17Speaker 13: three years. I am alone amongst all the commentators and
- 35:21Speaker 13: journalists in the mainstream media of Australia to have picked
- 35:24Speaker 13: that and to have called it a landslide. And I'm
- 35:27Speaker 13: delighted that that is what has occurred. But it does
- 35:30Speaker 13: not surprise me. And the reason it does not surprise
- 35:32Speaker 13: me is for the very reason you have mentioned. Much
- 35:35Speaker 13: like the Voice campaign here last year, this.
- 35:39Speaker 12: Was a direct referendum on wokeness, on the entire vile, nasty, spiteful, sanctimonious,
- 35:48Speaker 12: supercilious ideology known as wokeness, which includes everything from climate
- 35:53Speaker 12: change to transgenderism, to open borders to the list goes
- 35:58Speaker 12: on and on.
- 35:59Speaker 13: The people have rebelled in the States against it. They
- 36:02Speaker 13: rebelled against it here in Australia, common sense every day Americans.
- 36:06Speaker 13: I put my faith in the American people.
- 36:08Speaker 14: I was asked by a friend of mine the other evening,
- 36:10Speaker 14: are you still sure that Donald Trump.
- 36:12Speaker 13: Will win in a landslide? And I said absolutely, one
- 36:15Speaker 13: hundred percent. Then she said why, and I said, because
- 36:18Speaker 13: I put my.
- 36:19Speaker 14: Faith in the intelligence of the American people, much as
- 36:22Speaker 14: I put my faith in the intelligency of Australian people.
- 36:25Speaker 14: During the voice Andrew, this is the end of wokeness.
- 36:28Speaker 14: Albineza will be gone at the next election. Here's another
- 36:30Speaker 14: predictional offer you for free.
- 36:33Speaker 13: Peter Dutton must now seize the moment and realize that
- 36:37Speaker 13: the Liberals can and win will win the next election
- 36:41Speaker 13: if they take the Donald Trump playbook and tackle the
- 36:45Speaker 13: cultural issues, because it's those issues. Promise a great economy,
- 36:49Speaker 13: Promise to get rid of all the w nonsense, Promise
- 36:51Speaker 13: to stop wasting money on renewables and tack and promise
- 36:55Speaker 13: that girls won't go into a changing room and be
- 36:58Speaker 13: confronted by some bloke.
- 37:00Speaker 12: That's what Donald Trump did.
- 37:01Speaker 13: He spoke up for the average person and their concerns
- 37:05Speaker 13: about their lives. That is why he had won, and
- 37:08Speaker 13: that is how Peter Dunton can also win.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Well, you're talking about messages to the politicians, Rowan, I
- 37:16Speaker 1: suspect that someone that I regard as potentially a future
- 37:21Speaker 1: prime minister, one of the most brilliant and courageous people
- 37:23Speaker 1: in Parliament, obviously, Senator Justenter dam Price will note, will
- 37:31Speaker 1: note that Trump has smashed the race politics model that
- 37:36Speaker 1: this labor government's followed and that the Democrats followed disastrously
- 37:41Speaker 1: in this election. He is now one forty percent of
- 37:44Speaker 1: the Latino vote. That's more than any other Republican Canada
- 37:48Speaker 1: before him. That the Democrats thought I had the lock
- 37:51Speaker 1: on the Latino vote is one at least well in
- 37:55Speaker 1: the mid twenties, twenty percent of the Black vote. That
- 37:58Speaker 1: was once again almost a total Democrat locke. And has
- 38:02Speaker 1: done it without playing the race politics of the left,
- 38:05Speaker 1: you know, stoking racial division, feeding racial grievances, promising quotas
- 38:11Speaker 1: the rest. I think this is huge.
- 38:16Speaker 14: It's absolutely huge, Andrew, and I'm glad you meant to
- 38:19Speaker 14: mention Senator j just Center Price because she is the
- 38:21Speaker 14: living embodiment of genuine reconciliation in this nation. And that's
- 38:26Speaker 14: why people warm to her, and that's why people love
- 38:28Speaker 14: her because she doesn't play oh I'm black or I'm this,
- 38:31Speaker 14: or on whatever.
- 38:31Speaker 12: She cares about being an Australian first and foremost.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Again, that is what Donald Trump did.
- 38:38Speaker 14: At no point, as you mentioned earlier, did he go, oh,
- 38:40Speaker 14: look I've got Vivek he's an Indian, Or did he
- 38:42Speaker 14: go JD.
- 38:43Speaker 12: Vans's wife, she's Indian. I believe he didn't need.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Have we lost the run? Yeah, I'm sorry, we've lost thrown,
- 39:04Speaker 1: We've lost he own. We'll have to come back to
- 39:06Speaker 1: him well, or maybe we can't. Apologies for that, you know,
- 39:11Speaker 1: I thought I was going to ask ron. I thought
- 39:14Speaker 1: one really strange factor that might have played a role
- 39:19Speaker 1: in it came late and relatively late in the campaign.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Could have been Peanup the pet squirrel. Now he lived
- 39:27Speaker 1: for seven years with owner Marked longer and longer used
- 39:32Speaker 1: him Peanup the Squirrel and his friend Fred the Raccoon
- 39:36Speaker 1: to raise money for his wildlife shelter. Someone snitched on
- 39:40Speaker 1: them saying, hey, it's a leal. They have a squirrel.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Official seized it and then killed it. Now Trump's son,
- 39:46Speaker 1: Don Junior, was outraged.
- 39:49Speaker 15: Think about it. Our government will let in sixteen thousand rapists,
- 39:52Speaker 15: they let in thirteen thousand murderers, They'll let him six
- 39:55Speaker 15: hundred thousand criminals across our border. But if someone has
- 39:58Speaker 15: a pet squirrel without a permit, they go in there and.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Kill the squirrel. Think about it.
- 40:04Speaker 15: That's Democrat, that's the Democrat Party.
- 40:08Speaker 1: You know, it's made huge headlines. It actually became a
- 40:11Speaker 1: symbol of government overreach, the whole Karen culture of the Democrats.
- 40:16Speaker 1: This is more than some backpage story about a pet squirrel.
- 40:20Speaker 1: And I suspect that, well, rip peanut the squirrel. But
- 40:26Speaker 1: he would have reminded a lot of voters that what
- 40:28Speaker 1: they really did want was to have government off their back,
- 40:33Speaker 1: and the whole Karen industry, the whole woke crowd, all
- 40:37Speaker 1: those finger waggers telling you how to live your life
- 40:42Speaker 1: no more. I wonder whether that would have won one
- 40:45Speaker 1: or two seats of states for Donald Trump. Well, anyway,
- 40:52Speaker 1: after the break, we'll have more in our continuing Electronte coverage.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Michael Cossa Daniel Wilde will join me for they take
- 41:00Speaker 1: on how today's outcome will effect Australia because there is
- 41:03Speaker 1: one big warning sign here for Anthony Abnezi. So can
- 41:12Speaker 1: we pause for a moment on the show out of
- 41:17Speaker 1: respect for the grief that is now being felt by
- 41:21Speaker 1: all those ABC staff their trauma. Okay, that's enough. So
- 41:29Speaker 1: how will Trump's win effect Australia. Number One, the Albanizi
- 41:34Speaker 1: government is now going to look even more stupid, pushing
- 41:37Speaker 1: its global warming schemes, its net zero target, it's war
- 41:40Speaker 1: against fossil fuels. You see, the last time Donald Trump
- 41:44Speaker 1: was president, he pulled America out of the Paris Agreement
- 41:46Speaker 1: to cut emissions and is promised to do it all
- 41:49Speaker 1: again because Baden stupidly signed them back up again. He's
- 41:53Speaker 1: also promised to scrap the trillions of dollars of the
- 41:56Speaker 1: Biden administration has been thrown away on Green's schemes. Kind
- 42:00Speaker 1: of schemes by the way, that this Albanezy government is
- 42:04Speaker 1: spending your money on as well.
- 42:07Speaker 3: They've spent trillions of dollars fine things having to do
- 42:12Speaker 3: with the Green new scam.
- 42:13Speaker 1: It's a scam and that's.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Caused tremendous inflationary pressures in addition to the cost of energy.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Joining me and Daniel wild Deputy Executive director of the
- 42:24Speaker 1: Institute of Public Affairs, and Michael cost the former Labor
- 42:27Speaker 1: Treasurer of New South Wales. Daniel Wilde, how do you
- 42:31Speaker 1: think Trump's win is going to affect the Albanize government
- 42:35Speaker 1: starting with the whole Global Warning project.
- 42:40Speaker 16: Well, exactly as you said, Andrew, I think net zero
- 42:43Speaker 16: is now dead. If it wasn't dead before, it's certainly
- 42:46Speaker 16: dead now. A couple of headline points, Andrew, I think
- 42:49Speaker 16: that this has, this win has the capacity to be
- 42:52Speaker 16: a giant shift to the Western alliance and the global order,
- 42:55Speaker 16: perhaps on a level of that similar to nineteen eighty
- 42:58Speaker 16: when Reagan had a big victory and the revolt of
- 43:03Speaker 16: the common man and women across the Western world against
- 43:06Speaker 16: the elites and the ruling class continues. And that's what
- 43:09Speaker 16: this was, an emphatic rejection of the political elite in
- 43:13Speaker 16: the United States, and we've seen it elsewhere on continental Europe,
- 43:16Speaker 16: in the UK, here in Australia with the Voice. So
- 43:18Speaker 16: it continues, but certainly with net zero and climate policies, Andrew,
- 43:22Speaker 16: which really to the benefit of China. I mean net
- 43:25Speaker 16: zero is causing the reorientation of global economic supply chains
- 43:29Speaker 16: around one of the biggest adversaries to the Western global order,
- 43:32Speaker 16: which is the Chinese Communist Party. We should never have
- 43:35Speaker 16: signed up up to it. Morrison and Freidenberg made a
- 43:37Speaker 16: massive mistake in doing so. So I think the victory
- 43:40Speaker 16: of Trump will show that we need to have energy sovereignty,
- 43:43Speaker 16: national security, and put our nation's interests in the Western
- 43:46Speaker 16: Alliance first. And I think that this will be a
- 43:48Speaker 16: very positive move in a sensible direction.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Andrew, Yeah, the point you're making about China, of course,
- 43:54Speaker 1: is that China doesn't have to cut its emissions. In fact,
- 43:57Speaker 1: they've been soaring. Is both far and away the biggest
- 44:00Speaker 1: measure in the world, and we're cutting out a huge
- 44:02Speaker 1: risk in the West and transferring some so called polluting
- 44:06Speaker 1: industries through China, which is making hay while we suffer.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Michael Costa, what do you make of all that?
- 44:14Speaker 17: Well, I hate to be a wet blanket on all
- 44:17Speaker 17: of the euphoria at the moment. With Trump, we've got
- 44:20Speaker 17: the best of obviously two bad candidates in my view,
- 44:23Speaker 17: and I think there's going to be some real challenges
- 44:25Speaker 17: to the global water. Just to take the first point
- 44:27Speaker 17: that Daniel talked about, and we've got the issue of Ukraine.
- 44:30Speaker 17: What his position is going to be on Ukraine. Certainly
- 44:32Speaker 17: is going to be strong on Israel, and I worry
- 44:35Speaker 17: about Taiwan as well. But in terms of the question
- 44:37Speaker 17: you asked Andrew for the Albanezi government, I think there
- 44:41Speaker 17: are some lessons here. I don't think it's going to
- 44:43Speaker 17: be on energy policy and I think they're all locked
- 44:45Speaker 17: into the net zero. I think it's going to be
- 44:47Speaker 17: on cost of living, and that's where energy policy really
- 44:50Speaker 17: does play a factor, and I think they're so foolish
- 44:53Speaker 17: that they haven't recognized that. And also this notion that
- 44:57Speaker 17: somehow an interest rate cut, small one coming up, some
- 45:01Speaker 17: are going to save the Abanese government, I think is
- 45:03Speaker 17: proven by this election to be a nonsense. Remember there
- 45:06Speaker 17: were significant interest rate cuts in the US before this
- 45:09Speaker 17: particular vote and made no difference. And there's a couple
- 45:11Speaker 17: of other small issues that the government's playing with. I
- 45:14Speaker 17: think did come to the fore in the issue. This
- 45:17Speaker 17: notion you can tax unrealized capital gains, which was part
- 45:19Speaker 17: of the Democrats policy, went down like a lead balloon,
- 45:23Speaker 17: and that's the Abanese government is trying to do that.
- 45:25Speaker 17: At the moment as we speak, there's also this issue
- 45:28Speaker 17: with the hex payments. They think that's an election winner.
- 45:31Speaker 17: Remember Biden, you forgave or attempted to forgive huge amounts
- 45:36Speaker 17: of student debt in the US. That didn't seem to work.
- 45:38Speaker 17: So I think there's some challenges there. But I agree
- 45:40Speaker 17: with the notion that we've reached peak identity politics workism,
- 45:44Speaker 17: and really that's not a winner for anybody. But the
- 45:48Speaker 17: isolationism is a worry, and we've got to look at
- 45:50Speaker 17: our defense budget. We can't rely on the United States,
- 45:52Speaker 17: and I think the next election ought to have as
- 45:55Speaker 17: a key center component the pathetic state of our defense
- 45:59Speaker 17: for and the inability of this government to fund projects
- 46:03Speaker 17: and look after our own defense.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I have to agree with that last point at Daniel.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I would love to think that Trump would be a
- 46:14Speaker 1: Reagan or a Thatcher in terms of internetion, but there
- 46:17Speaker 1: is an isolationist program. The point, of course, is that
- 46:20Speaker 1: we didn't have much of a choice. We had a
- 46:21Speaker 1: candidate was weak on Ukraine versus a candidate was weak
- 46:24Speaker 1: on Israel. You pick your poison, But I do have
- 46:28Speaker 1: one hope that there are people around him, like Jack
- 46:33Speaker 1: Keene is a regular on this show. General Jack Keane
- 46:36Speaker 1: who Trump tried to make his defense minister twice, a
- 46:41Speaker 1: defense secretary twice when he was first president. Jack Keene
- 46:45Speaker 1: is red hot on defending Ukraine seeing part of wider
- 46:48Speaker 1: World War, and maybe wiser heads will prevail. But can
- 46:53Speaker 1: we really expect it.
- 46:56Speaker 16: Well, it's a couple of things, Andrew. I mean, firstly,
- 46:58Speaker 16: I think Trump Mark two will be very different to
- 47:00Speaker 16: Trump Mark ie. He acknowledged that some of the people
- 47:02Speaker 16: he appointed in his first administration weren't the best people.
- 47:05Speaker 16: It's likely he's going to have the Senate and the Congress.
- 47:08Speaker 16: The other thing, Andrew is there are no more never
- 47:09Speaker 16: Trump Republicans. They all threw their toys out of the
- 47:12Speaker 16: they're in the Democrats, and well, how's that working out
- 47:15Speaker 16: for them? So he's not going to be thwarted in
- 47:17Speaker 16: a way that he was in his first two years
- 47:19Speaker 16: as president. So I think he's going to see a
- 47:21Speaker 16: very emboldened Trump. I think he's also someone who's spoke
- 47:24Speaker 16: about the need to unify the country and he's probably
- 47:27Speaker 16: learnt a lot to be honest over the last eight years.
- 47:29Speaker 16: So in terms of the Western order, Trump has always
- 47:33Speaker 16: been very solid on that. I understand the point about isolationism.
- 47:37Speaker 16: But if you look at the speeches that he gave
- 47:39Speaker 16: in Poland, for example, in his last time he was president,
- 47:42Speaker 16: he clearly has an understanding of the centrality of Western
- 47:46Speaker 16: values in Western civilization, which is the kind of leadership
- 47:49Speaker 16: we need out of an American leader. Is he perfect, No,
- 47:52Speaker 16: but he may very well be the leader that we
- 47:54Speaker 16: need for the kind of times that we're living in.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Yeah, we're giving. You don't have a perfect choice about
- 48:00Speaker 1: this kind of thing, you know, Michael. I just wonder
- 48:05Speaker 1: whether we did actually end up both far and away
- 48:08Speaker 1: with a better candidate.
- 48:10Speaker 17: I don't think there's any doubt of that. And it
- 48:13Speaker 17: became more and more obvious during the campaign that Kamala
- 48:15Speaker 17: Harrison was clueless. I mean, those word salads are and
- 48:20Speaker 17: I've got to say that I suppose the most significant
- 48:23Speaker 17: component in terms of their out of touchness was the
- 48:26Speaker 17: way that they try to demonice, you know, Trump is Hitler.
- 48:30Speaker 17: I mean, that was an insult to all those Holocaust victims.
- 48:35Speaker 17: Try to put Donald Trump on the same level.
- 48:38Speaker 12: As that of Hitler.
- 48:39Speaker 17: I mean they deserve to lose just.
- 48:41Speaker 4: On that alone.
- 48:42Speaker 17: I mean it was a disgusting I've never seen any
- 48:45Speaker 17: so disgusting and.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Pol true and smacked a great Daniel Wilde, thank you,
- 48:51Speaker 1: thank you very much to you both. That's it for
- 48:54Speaker 1: me more coming up with Sherry markson good note
