- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Three O Take, where we talk
- 0:04all things Major League Baseball.
- 0:06Here's Kyle Corwin and Nate Reyes.
- 0:10It all starts right now. Welcome back to the three O take
- 0:17presented by Chinook Cedry this episode 535 I'll be your host
- 0:21Kyle Corwin. I'm here with my Co host Nate
- 0:24Reyes. Nate.
- 0:26Casey, how are we? So I got an update on the refill
- 0:31map. I bet you thought I forgot about
- 0:33that, didn't you? Oh boy, this again fools you.
- 0:40Fools, you fools. Thought I forgot about this.
- 0:43Nope. Updated as of today.
- 0:47I have confirmation and if you don't know what I'm talking
- 0:50about, this was from what like a month or two ago?
- 0:54At this point just feels like it's hasn't.
- 0:59Been long enough. Wow, thanks man.
- 1:01Appreciate you no the trying. To get confirmation from fan
- 1:07bases around the league, whether or not their home team offers
- 1:13free refills because, well, just go.
- 1:16You'll see the TikTok. Go find my rant on TikTok and
- 1:18you'll understand why I'm so up in arms about this it maybe
- 1:21you'll join the cause. Updated as of today.
- 1:27I say that because Nate's not joining the cause.
- 1:29Nate's Nate's willing, he said please.
- 1:33MLB franchise that makes millions and billions of
- 1:35dollars. Take more of my money for this
- 1:38watered down, lukewarm Coca-Cola please team, please.
- 1:45Anyway to care about this? Your.
- 1:51Plate's clear. You should add, you should add
- 1:53this to your plate buddy 'cause this is a big deal.
- 1:56All right, updated as of today, teams that have confirmed and
- 2:01again, this is up for if people want to dispute this, that's
- 2:04fine. I'll I'll have to have a final
- 2:06version of this at the end. Updated as of today Teams that
- 2:10have free refills that have confirmed the Padres, the
- 2:15Mariners, the Astros. The Royals, the Guardians, the
- 2:23Orioles, and I already had an objection to the Blue Jays after
- 2:28posting the graphic today. Heard that maybe there wasn't,
- 2:32maybe there was, so I'm going to need some confirmation.
- 2:34On the Blue Jays your just your sources are people in the
- 2:38comments section. Correct.
- 2:39People that have have gone to games thus far this year, teams
- 2:43that have that do not offer free refills as confirmed by the fans
- 2:48in 2025, the Cardinals, the Braves, the Tigers, Pirates and
- 2:57Phillies. Good stuff.
- 3:05What do we do with this information?
- 3:06All right, here we go. Now in the chat, Pirates.
- 3:08Have free refills, so OK, so that's the caveat.
- 3:11I mean, that's an interesting caveat, but it is it is
- 3:14noteworthy. I think that is fair.
- 3:16I think if you spend the money on a souvenir cup, you should
- 3:20get the free refills. A regular cup?
- 3:24I don't know. Nate, that's the entire point of
- 3:27this get on board of this movement.
- 3:29It's the souvenir cups. I don't.
- 3:31I don't expect a refill on on a on a on a paper cup.
- 3:35To be honest, I've been checked out of this whole thing so this
- 3:38is news to me. This is the disrespect is just
- 3:43through the roof do. You have a notes?
- 3:45Do you have like a notes like thing like completely dedicated
- 3:52to this? I don't appreciate the mockery.
- 3:56I truly just do not appreciate the mockery.
- 3:58I'm trying to I'm trying to start a movement here, but your
- 4:01plates too full. So, you know, I'll just, I'll
- 4:04just go on about my day. It's a good idea.
- 4:13They said electricity wasn't a good idea and look how that
- 4:15worked out. So.
- 4:17How many people said that? Do you?
- 4:18Do you still have a ridiculous souvenir cup?
- 4:22Collection has that. Since idled or no, I haven't
- 4:25dwindled that down. I need to, I need to dial it
- 4:27back a little bit. I if I do say.
- 4:29So I think, I think what you do is you take it out of the
- 4:31cupboard and you start one of those snakes behind you, just
- 4:35like a tower. Maybe I do that?
- 4:39I think that's a win win, right? You get the wife off the back.
- 4:44Clear up some cabinet. Space.
- 4:46Clear up some cabinet space. How about it you get to show
- 4:47them off? How about it?
- 4:51Speaking of win win, Rockies have not been doing much of that
- 4:55at all this year, on pace to be the worst team in baseball.
- 5:01Ever. Yeah, I was going to say not in
- 5:032025. All of history, actually.
- 5:06All of the. Time, believe it or not, every
- 5:08of the time. And I'm glad, truthfully, that
- 5:14actually, no, because we were going to record at the end of
- 5:17yesterday's games and by then they had already fired Bud
- 5:20Black. So we already had that news, but
- 5:23wasn't anticipating this when I was sort of thinking of thinking
- 5:26ahead, planning. Ahead, Like, what are we going
- 5:28to cover to start the week? Sure.
- 5:30I was thinking, oh, Rockies not thinking that they were going to
- 5:34do the unthinkable and get rid of their manager.
- 5:39But alas, here we are fired Bud Black on Sunday.
- 5:43They are now off to a Major League where 7 and 33 starts and
- 5:49they are on pace. Hold on, hold, hold the phone.
- 5:55They are on pace to have the worst run differential since
- 5:591961 by over 200 runs. Nice.
- 6:09Nice. Is anything going to move the
- 6:11needle for you today? My goodness, come on, let's get
- 6:15some. Let's get some emotion here.
- 6:18I don't know, buddy. What do you want me to say?
- 6:20Let's see. I mean the worst, the worst run
- 6:27differential since 1961 by over 200 runs.
- 6:33Are you hearing the words that I'm saying?
- 6:35It's too. Early for me to.
- 6:37Do no, you're right, there's still time to turn it around for
- 6:39sure, for sure. It's time to ride the ship.
- 6:41Is Clint Hurdle at the helm now? Again?
- 6:45Clint Hurdle is tour #2. No, he is the interim bench
- 6:49coach. Third base coach Warren
- 6:52Schaeffer will serve as interim manager.
- 6:56I don't like how it says we'll serve as interim manager for the
- 6:59rest of the season, but I I don't like that kind of promise.
- 7:05When was the last time you had two managers let go in the same
- 7:07season? That is a good trivia question.
- 7:11That is a great trivia question. I'm I'm curious.
- 7:14Will Google Will Google come through?
- 7:16For us here, when is the last time?
- 7:20We had a joke going in the group chat that, like Andrew
- 7:24McCutcheon, should be like a player manager for the first
- 7:28time in a long time. Why not Rockies?
- 7:33Why not do something fun? I don't know who, I don't know
- 7:38who would take that role. I.
- 7:42Mean somebody on somebody. 'S got plenty of free time.
- 7:45Somebody on Reddit said has a team ever fired 2 managers in
- 7:48the same season? Somebody said yes and the team's
- 7:51name is George Steinbrenner. You would know has Has George
- 7:55ever fired 2 managers in a single season?
- 7:57I. Don't remember that.
- 7:58I mean I had. He, I should say.
- 8:05It had to have been when it was. Billy Martin was one of those
- 8:08managers. I know that there was some back
- 8:10and forth with Billy Martin. Somebody said Rangers had four
- 8:16managers in 1977, including a one game manager.
- 8:21Imagine getting the call for a game.
- 8:26Day of my life right there. That's just the best day.
- 8:30I don't know, man. Look, this this Rockies
- 8:34organization, we've everything we just said about the Pirates
- 8:38last week. You could just you just copy and
- 8:40paste that transcript and slide it on into this one.
- 8:45It's it's such a mess. I wasn't necessarily ever a fan
- 8:49of Bud Black. I'd never really thought that it
- 8:51was like a great hire to begin with.
- 8:54But I can't sit here and say that this is any.
- 8:57Part his fault. Like it.
- 8:59What are you going to do when you're giving this roster when
- 9:03when this team just doesn't perform?
- 9:06You're not giving anything to work with man Like I there's
- 9:11only so much you can expect the guy to do I at least he went out
- 9:16on top with a dub. You know what's that hole what's
- 9:23that hole yes Billy Bean quote at the end of Moneyball still
- 9:27trying to end the season with a win what black just did so check
- 9:34that box 1 of. How many they got now?
- 9:3877 hey, but they got AI think A1 nothing lead at at this current
- 9:44moment over the Rangers. So.
- 9:46They already have. Let's just go through some
- 9:48numbers here. They're already 19 and entering
- 9:53Monday, they're 19 1/2 back in the division.
- 9:57That's. Silver lining here, they're only
- 10:0116 1/2 back in the wild card. 2:00 and 8:00 or less, 2 and 8
- 10:06within. I mean, right there.
- 10:08What's AD to say Anything, nothing is impossible.
- 10:13Run differential of -128 They're 3 and 22 against teams 500 or
- 10:22better. What are some other Nuggets
- 10:24here? According to Chris Venini, he
- 10:28said the 2020. 4. White Sox who lost their record
- 10:32121 games for 11 and 28 on May 10th.
- 10:36The 2020. This is obviously a few days old
- 10:39at this rate, but they said the 2025 Rockies are now 6 and 33 on
- 10:43May 10th. So nearly just over half this
- 10:48amount of wins on May 10th than the previous worst team in
- 10:54baseball history, the White Sox had on May 10th.
- 11:00And we haven't even touched on the the last few days they had
- 11:05sort of leading into the weekend slash over the weekend, 55 runs
- 11:09allowed over three days including.
- 11:12Was it a 21? Nothing.
- 11:14Shut out at the hands of the Padres.
- 11:17It was. Is that ACG as well?
- 11:26Who's pitching? I don't know, but the social
- 11:31media it was. Was it social media man colic?
- 11:38I saw somebody respond to a tweet that was like giving him
- 11:41props and like against Iraqis doesn't count.
- 11:45I'm like in course, though, in core, I was going to say, yeah,
- 11:48I'll take that. I'd say that that sort of
- 11:50cancels itself out. The social media manager put the
- 11:56Have you you've been following the Bill Belichick?
- 12:00With the girlfriend. Yeah.
- 12:01Have you been following all that?
- 12:03Did you see that Did did? You see the meme that came from
- 12:05it when he was doing that interview, I think it was like
- 12:07with CBS, Yeah. And they panned over to her and
- 12:10she's like, we're not talking about this.
- 12:12Yeah, They tweeted that meme out after the loss.
- 12:14And she's like, yeah, we're not talking about this.
- 12:15I'm like. Yeah, at least, at least.
- 12:17Social media managers taking it in stride.
- 12:19Yeah, you got to, You got to. Some more numbers here for you,
- 12:23Nate, entering Sunday. The Rockies offense had the
- 12:30fewest. This is across all of baseball.
- 12:32The fewest runs scored, most strikeouts, second fewest
- 12:36swipes, second worst average, second worst on base, third
- 12:40worst slug, third worst OPS, 5th fewest walks.
- 12:45And I already said most strikeouts.
- 12:47They're pitching. Worst ERA, most hits allowed,
- 12:50fewest strikeouts, highest WHIP, highest opponent's batting
- 12:53average. They're the only team with an
- 12:55opponent's batting average over 300 at this point in the season,
- 12:59and their defense has allowed the most errors in baseball.
- 13:07And to Jacob's point in the chat, can we name?
- 13:10Five Rockies? Can we name 5 Rockies?
- 13:16Ryan McMahon? Charlie Blackman's retired
- 13:20Hunter Goodman? Hunter Goodman?
- 13:23Brenton Doyle? Ezekiel Tovar?
- 13:27Chris Bryant Barely counts. Something Tolia?
- 13:31What's his first name? No, it's not Tolia.
- 13:33It's like. That's how that's how you say it
- 13:36though. But there's like AV.
- 13:38Or something in there isn't there?
- 13:40No, it's just silent Toglia. I think it's TOGLIA.
- 13:45Oh, it's the G that I'm thinking of.
- 13:47OK. Yeah, Tolia.
- 13:49There you go. So that's what, 6?
- 13:53Her mom, Marquez. Her mom, Marquez, who's been
- 13:56kind of cheeks, hasn't he? I think he.
- 13:59Just threw pretty well yesterday to to get that dub.
- 14:04Oh, he went yesterday. OK, I think maybe it must have
- 14:06been his the stretch before that it.
- 14:07Would be good. Kyle Freeland, he was in that
- 14:11that tough presser. Did you see that clip of him at
- 14:14the podium? No, he just, I've looked so
- 14:19defeated. I don't even know.
- 14:20It was just it was tough. He responded to an to a question
- 14:25and it just it didn't look good, man.
- 14:26And and he just walked off after.
- 14:29It's like, yeah, this is brutal. That's a broken man.
- 14:33It is yeah, man, it's it's really hard because like I I, I
- 14:39do have like a a little bit of like a soft spot in my heart for
- 14:43the Rockies, living there for for 10 years and being to so
- 14:45many different games and, you know, getting to see like
- 14:48different phases. And I was there in O 7 when you
- 14:52know, it's just like an insane run in October to even get in
- 14:58and then like, you know, to blaze through the entire post
- 15:02season and and kind of have like the layoff before the World
- 15:06Series and then just get stomped.
- 15:09You had you have insane names that have come through there,
- 15:11like, you know, for too low to be, you know, a face for a
- 15:16period of time. And Todd Hilton, the Hall of
- 15:18Famer. Now Matt Holiday is I think
- 15:21we'll get a lot of love for being a cardinal, But I think if
- 15:24you were to ask him, he he would probably wear a Rocky's hat in
- 15:27the hall. You know, obviously Arenado like
- 15:31just really good years and it's. It's hard to see this because
- 15:37like you, have you. Have a fan base that's going to
- 15:44show up. I think that's why the the
- 15:47argument is like, I you got to think that like Charlie Montfort
- 15:50is like taking advantage of the fact that he still finds a way
- 15:54to sell tickets and and get so many people to that stadium.
- 15:57But it's a beautiful. Ballpark, it's there's so much
- 16:00to do around the ballpark. You have the Broncos, who you
- 16:04know are kind of off and on, but for the most part they're
- 16:07competitive. More often than not, the ABS
- 16:10just had a run in the in the playoffs.
- 16:12Like you have a town. The Nuggets are still like, like
- 16:16still doing their thing. Like you have a lot.
- 16:18Of of sports fans in that area, you have so much that you can
- 16:23do. You have, I bet you it's not
- 16:26very difficult to talk players into living in that city.
- 16:29Like it's a cool place to live. Like they need to really figure
- 16:36out how to coach to to have a philosophy that fits in for
- 16:43their ballpark. And it needs to start from like
- 16:46the bottom parts of minor league system to coach this in.
- 16:50Like, why do we not have just like a plethora of sinker
- 16:54Ballers pitching for the Rockies?
- 16:56Why are they're not just hammering after ground ball
- 17:00pitchers? Why are they not getting hitters
- 17:04that can lift the ball more than most other guys?
- 17:07Like there needs to be this philosophy.
- 17:09You see the Red Sox go after right-handed power hitters
- 17:13because of the wall you see. You see the Yankees going after
- 17:17hitters that can go to right field, whether it's left pull or
- 17:21right the other way. Because of that advantage, like
- 17:24you, you have certain advantages to this ballpark.
- 17:27You have certain things that you can utilize and you don't seem
- 17:31to scout or develop to fit that. It just doesn't make any sense.
- 17:40Why don't you have 3 outfielders that can absolutely fly and go
- 17:44out and get it? It's a big outfield.
- 17:47I just it's it's hard to watch over and over and over and I
- 17:53know it's not on this like same argument as what we had last
- 17:56week with the Pirates in in the how it's a classic franchise and
- 18:00a perfect ballpark and and all those things, but like it
- 18:05without the history. It's a very similar comparison
- 18:12of a great ballpark. You're fans of all different
- 18:15ages that are going to go and hang out like just be better, do
- 18:21better. Find a way to just fit to your
- 18:25system, have a philosophy, and don't tell me it can't be done.
- 18:30You see teams like the Rays that have figured out a way say, OK,
- 18:36if we're not going to attract top tier free agents, if we
- 18:41don't have the money for it, we're going to find a different
- 18:44way to be competitive. And it's so annoying to see
- 18:47these franchises that just don't even seem to really try to
- 18:52follow the same script in a way. Well, dude, I mean, it's so it's
- 18:57it's so simple for these ownership groups.
- 19:01Well, specifically for a team like the rock use when you look
- 19:03at that, you look at the outfield for that 21 to nothing
- 19:08blow out embarrassment of an effort and it's packed.
- 19:15That's why would they need to change anything They don't.
- 19:19And we've talked about this ad nauseam that people, I mean,
- 19:23Pittsburgh's its own conversation other like the A's,
- 19:26that's another conversation. But the Rockies in in particular
- 19:31don't have to worry because it's such an attraction, because it's
- 19:35such a social event, because of the food, the beer, the the
- 19:40views, everything. They do not have to worry.
- 19:42So why change? You had the excuse of the
- 19:46altitude to fall back on as a narrative for your franchise.
- 19:49You have nothing to. You have nothing that you need
- 19:53to change, because you don't need to.
- 19:57It's true, you're not wrong, just sucks to see man.
- 20:02Sucks to see because like you, you just, you expect teams I
- 20:04don't expect. I don't, I don't have the
- 20:09expectation that all of these small market teams should be
- 20:12playoff contenders year in and year out.
- 20:16But when it's like a long enough chapter and when you're on pace
- 20:21to have record lows across our entire sport.
- 20:31What are we doing? On pace to win 28 games and be
- 20:35outscored by 518 runs. I don't want to talk about it
- 20:40anymore. I know.
- 20:42And they're blessed with where they're blessed with great
- 20:44competition in their division, too, because you're always going
- 20:46to have Dodgers fans that show up.
- 20:48You're always going to have Padres fans that show up.
- 20:50They're always going to be there.
- 20:51Giants fans are really loud there, too.
- 20:54You're going to, you're in the NL, you always have Cubs that
- 20:56dominate that stadium. When they're in town like you,
- 20:59you have the ability to fill that out and they're just not
- 21:02spending their money the right way.
- 21:03It's it's brutal. I don't want to talk about them
- 21:06either unless they're setting records.
- 21:10Let's talk about a. Team that's been playing a
- 21:15different style of ball with different outcomes.
- 21:17The Kansas City Royals completely meant to mention them
- 21:21last episode and realized after the fact that had completely
- 21:25skipped over them and their segment all together.
- 21:29So I figured why not now? Royals hottest team in baseball
- 21:34Over their last 20 games, they're 16 and 4 entering
- 21:37Monday. They are doing it on both sides
- 21:39of the ball. Team ERA of 22. 9.
- 21:44Over the last 20 games over that span, Bobby Witt junior's
- 21:47hitting 321 with three homers, 15 ribbies and an OPS at 9:32.
- 21:53And Michael Garcia put some put some love on his name, hitting
- 21:59347 over that span, 2 homers, 7 ribbies and an OPS at 943.
- 22:06Seth Lugo before his start on Sunday.
- 22:12Those the four starts coming into Sunday had an ERA of 198,
- 22:18had only given up six earned runs over that span and had 21
- 22:21strikeouts in those four starts. Carlos Estevis 6 for his last
- 22:26six and save opportunities. So they're they're buttoned up
- 22:29all around. They really are.
- 22:32It's cool to see Estevez doing his thing 'cause like he's he's
- 22:37been around a little bit and he's kind of hopped around and
- 22:40has had different roles. You've seen him have save
- 22:42opportunities before, but like, it's good to see him just be the
- 22:45guy there. But they need to start hitting.
- 22:49That's, that's what this, that's the whole conversation about
- 22:52their start was good pitching, solid pitching.
- 22:55Just need some hitting and they're starting to do it.
- 22:59Hottest team in baseball though. I don't know, man.
- 23:01I mean, there's a couple teams that would, would, would give
- 23:04him a little bit of an argument today.
- 23:05Over that span and we'll get in fact, you know what, let's just.
- 23:09Give them their flowers. Too, Why don't we just give them
- 23:11their flowers right now? Twins and Cardinals coming into
- 23:14Monday both riding 8 game win streaks.
- 23:17The Twins are winning notches. Baseball games.
- 23:22They're winning close baseball games Seven of those eight wins
- 23:26have been decided by three runs or fewer.
- 23:29They got a team ERA of. 222. Over that streak and they the
- 23:37the eight game win streak has pushed them over 500 for the
- 23:41first time this year. They come into Monday 21 and 20.
- 23:44So this eight game win streak has catapulted them.
- 23:48From fourth in the division to 4th in the division and they are
- 23:55just leaps and bounds ahead of a team that's on their heels.
- 23:59The Chicago White Sox, who sit at 12 and 29.
- 24:04So good for the Twins really gaining some ground in that
- 24:07division. Who'd have thought that the AL
- 24:09Central would just be this dominant man?
- 24:12I mean even if it wasn't, it's still the twins.
- 24:15They suck. I agree this all this, they're
- 24:18still again 21 to 20 like you said, five games back.
- 24:23By the way, I wasn't, I, I didn't have any plans to mention
- 24:27this, but I saw this video today that the twins put out and I was
- 24:29like, oh, that's, that's kind of creative.
- 24:31It was a social media manager for the twins put out this video
- 24:37and it was like, you know, you've seen the videos.
- 24:40Where they'll be coming down the hall like the players be coming
- 24:42down the hallway and they'll have like a question on the
- 24:44whiteboard or whatever you've. Seen those videos?
- 24:46It's been overplayed at this. Yeah, no, no, for sure for sure.
- 24:48But this particular video, the question was what do you think
- 24:51we do for our job? Meaning like the social media
- 24:55team. And so you got guys in there
- 24:57like oh you guys post our pictures on social and blah blah
- 25:00blah like Garner good relationships with the with the
- 25:03fans, blah blah blah blah blah. Pablo, Pablo Lopez is on there
- 25:07just. I became a huge Pablo Lopez fan
- 25:10from this video. Just a genuine guy.
- 25:13Very in tune as a social media manager myself.
- 25:17Very much in tune with like. What goes into it?
- 25:21And Harrison Bader just gave the most Harrison Bader response.
- 25:27Like I, I, I knew exactly what he was going to say.
- 25:32He he's like, oh, you guys do like the, the analytics for
- 25:37baseball, right? Look, what do you Yeah, the
- 25:41social media team is working with the the hitters down below
- 25:45with the iPads doing low front toss.
- 25:48Yeah. I hope it was sarcastic.
- 25:51I I don't think it was that guy. Seems like he just doesn't care
- 25:55anyway. Clouds is what he is.
- 25:58Yeah, the other team riding an 8 game-winning streak.
- 26:02Got to make sure we give them their flowers as well.
- 26:04The Cardinals again, 8 game win streak as the Twins have.
- 26:10They are riding a 20 + 28 run differential over that span, ERA
- 26:14even lower than that of the Twins at 2 flat.
- 26:19Wilson Contreras is currently on a 23 game on base streak, and
- 26:24Victor Scott, the second, has a career high hitting streak of 11
- 26:28games. Yeah, that's solid, man.
- 26:32Only one game back behind the Cubs.
- 26:35So like to to be able to leapfrog up, especially with the
- 26:39offseason they had, especially with all the noise and like I
- 26:42was low on them. I'm pretty sure I had them at
- 26:44the bottom of the division. Still a chance that could
- 26:46happen. But they look good.
- 26:51They do look good and currently right now they got a 3-2 lead
- 26:56over Philly with two outs in the 8th.
- 26:59So and Ryan Helsley seems to have found something this year
- 27:05like he did a few years ago. They look solid man, playing
- 27:12good D pitching really well. It's crazy.
- 27:18I, I would love to see it continue.
- 27:23I'd love to see them stay relevant.
- 27:25I would love to see a, a late Cubs Cardinals run going against
- 27:31each other in September. I mean, have a little spark in
- 27:34the rivalry. I'm down.
- 27:39But much like the Twins, I just, I don't know if they have what
- 27:42it takes and I, I don't think Ollie Marmol is good at his job.
- 27:48So. Were it like?
- 27:51Fire Ali Marmol plus 900 at this point.
- 27:55Wasn't it? It was like 3 years ago, 2-3
- 27:58years ago. My goodness.
- 28:02But yeah, unlike the Twins who jumped from 4th in their
- 28:05division to 4th, Cardinals, as you mentioned, are sitting
- 28:09second in the division, holding a a slim lead over the Brewers,
- 28:14who are just behind them, a game under 500 at 20 and 21 entering
- 28:18Monday. The red dip there two man three
- 28:22and seven, the last 10 I. Don't like, I don't like to see
- 28:25it. I don't like to see it.
- 28:27The What else we got here, the Dodgers have.
- 28:33Are. Reportedly in going to be in.
- 28:40I should say I don't want to accuse them of tambourine.
- 28:44Reportedly in going to be in on Kyle Tucker when free agency
- 28:50hits. What are thoughts on this?
- 28:55Kyle Tucker's agencies just following the playbook, man.
- 29:03Did you read the? That's the way to leak.
- 29:05Let the leak go. But did you see the headlines,
- 29:08though? It was like it was something
- 29:10like the Dodgers are are going to be in on Kyle Tucker, even if
- 29:13they're not. Committed to them.
- 29:15They're trying to keep the rest of the league honest or
- 29:18something. Do you did you see like they're
- 29:22just they just feel like they have which I mean they I'm I'm
- 29:25not doubting that they do, but they they they behave as if they
- 29:29have this power that they can just manipulate a little strong
- 29:35of word, but sort of course corrects the league.
- 29:41In a way which I mean I guess I can given this the.
- 29:44Dodgers taking taking over as commissioner.
- 29:47Well, I mean, they're sitting here going, yeah, we just want
- 29:50to make sure that this guy gets his due.
- 29:52And we don't want to, we want to make sure that nobody's
- 29:54shortchanging him and, and, and adjusting the market.
- 30:00So we're going to, we're just going to throw our hat in the
- 30:02ring just to keep everybody on their toes, keep them honest.
- 30:05I think they're doing. To it.
- 30:07I yeah, I mean, I, I think this was no duh the second it came
- 30:12out just because it was like, this is what you get over these,
- 30:16over these stretches of dominance from teams, right?
- 30:19Like back in the day was like if the Yankees were in on a guy,
- 30:24like it was going to drive the price up.
- 30:25And that's what I'm saying is that I think Kyle Tucker's the
- 30:31agency was just like, yeah, let's let this one to the public
- 30:35and let him let him see this. The more success he has, the
- 30:40more success the Dodgers have that.
- 30:42I mean, it's just all. But why would the?
- 30:45Why would the agency? Be the one to leak the fact that
- 30:47the Dodgers would be in on him come free agency.
- 30:54To to let the put the world on notice.
- 30:56Let that number continue to climb.
- 30:58But what if they don't plan? To be in on him.
- 31:03I think that's I didn't. I'm not saying they manufactured
- 31:07this rumor. I'm saying that they probably
- 31:10got confirmation that yes, they'd be in.
- 31:13But to the questions in the chat, is that not tampering?
- 31:19I think it's only tampering if there's direct contact with the
- 31:21player, no? I I would have to imagine that
- 31:27extends the agency, no, as their representative, that's got to
- 31:35be. I mean, maybe I don't, I think
- 31:37it's only tampering if there's like an offer on the table.
- 31:40I think it's, I mean, it's if there's like like pursuit, I
- 31:44don't know if there's pursuit. It could have been just, you
- 31:47know, his agency reaching out to teams and saying like, hey, just
- 31:51trying to start a list. You know, Kyle's got his soda
- 31:55notes started up. I think we're going to get a
- 31:58note tab open up and and start jotting down some some list of
- 32:02teams that would be interested in some some yays or nays in
- 32:06there. And are you a yay or nay?
- 32:16Either that or they just manufactured it.
- 32:20It's possible all this is manufactured.
- 32:22The report did come from Bob Nightingale, who as we know,
- 32:26this guy, yeah. Do you lead with that?
- 32:31Wow, I wanted to get some good conversation out before I before
- 32:34I drop that in there. The According to Bob
- 32:38Nightingale, the Los Angeles Dodgers plan to jump into the
- 32:41free agent fray for Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker this
- 32:44winter. Nightingale writes the They may
- 32:47not be the high bidder, but they'll surely keep everyone
- 32:49honest, just as they did when they are in the Juan Soto
- 32:51sweepstakes. Whatever.
- 32:57Shut up, Bob. I mean, who's?
- 33:05Who's to say? I mean who, who, who are we
- 33:08kidding? Who's to say they wouldn't?
- 33:10Be in on Kyle Tucker. Like, why?
- 33:12Why would we even doubt that? Like at what?
- 33:15Point. I don't doubt it.
- 33:18At what? Point over the last two or three
- 33:20years, did we draw the line and we're like, surely they can't
- 33:23add another and what did they go out and do, even if it wasn't
- 33:26like the top? Player on the market at that
- 33:29given point in time, they go out and get a who was it, Kirby?
- 33:35Yates Maybe they're they're letting this out to like almost
- 33:43make themselves tamper proof, you know what I'm saying?
- 33:51So of course we're in. We're always in any player,
- 33:55anytime. We're always in.
- 33:59And then if anything, any leak comes out, you're like, oh, duh,
- 34:02it's the Dodgers. Like they're acting the way the
- 34:06LA Dodgers should act. Meanwhile, they're just
- 34:09tampering behind the scenes that that's another conspiracy.
- 34:14What do you think of that? You might be on to something
- 34:21there. Yeah, I mean.
- 34:24That, that'd be something you could pull off.
- 34:25If you're the Dodgers, you spend so much money, you, you just.
- 34:28Pissed so many people off that they're just like, whatever,
- 34:31fine sign, sign the whole league, whatever.
- 34:34Yeah, tamper proof. Employ every player in Major
- 34:38League Baseball and at the minor league level.
- 34:41We don't care. We're going to watch soccer now.
- 34:44We don't care. That's why the Rockies suck.
- 34:51That's a conspiracy. Do we think the Dodgers are
- 34:55trying to drive Major League Baseball into a free fall?
- 35:04Sign everybody so that nobody can not just like figuratively.
- 35:11Compete, but like legitimately complete.
- 35:13Like these teams can't employ enough players because there's
- 35:16so many. Like Rob Manford just turns a
- 35:19blind eye to the 40 man rule. Dodgers have 725 plus players in
- 35:28their system. There's no other teams to play.
- 35:31They win by default. Are we considering that as an
- 35:34option? But I think it's out there.
- 35:36I think it's on the table. I think if we're brainstorming,
- 35:39we got to write it down on the whiteboard.
- 35:42Can't rule anything out with the Dodgers.
- 35:50Let's let, I'm going to be honest with you here.
- 35:53I was. I was a little surprised at your
- 35:56response to this call that we're about to we're about to grade.
- 36:03Wasn't, wasn't thrilled with, Yeah, as I said, wasn't thrilled
- 36:08with your response because I'd, I would have expected you to be
- 36:10a little more enthused, but maybe I just caught you on a on
- 36:16a bad day. I'm feeling on enthused today so
- 36:18fire her up. I'm, I'm guessing so issue is,
- 36:23is I'm going to have to go with audio because we're getting
- 36:26flagged by playing the actual video the the highlights on the
- 36:31stream. Thanks a lot, Rob.
- 36:33Yeah, thanks, MLB. So here we go, Here we go.
- 36:39This is actually from. Tonight advertising, I guess.
- 36:41Yeah, I guess not. This is actually from tonight's
- 36:44game, Braves Michael Harris. Runner breaks for a second here
- 36:48at the center. Harris spreading straight back.
- 36:55Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness. That is as sensational as it
- 37:00gets. Michael Harris, runner breaks
- 37:05for. What's the beef with the call?
- 37:10What? Do you?
- 37:10Well, what do you think? Let me ask you this
- 37:12legitimately. Do you think the call changes at
- 37:16all now that you're not watching the play?
- 37:18How much did the play beef up the call?
- 37:23Ask yourself that, Sir. That's.
- 37:25OK, OK, You don't need to yell. You know, we're all friends
- 37:30here. You don't need to yell.
- 37:32But. To your point, that's a valid
- 37:34question. I'm trying to put myself in a
- 37:37state of mind. Had I not seen the play ahead of
- 37:40time, I'm trying to envision like what a play, what that play
- 37:44would have Here's. My beef here's my beef is that
- 37:47the the description of the play just shuts off.
- 37:51You're allowed to be shocked, but the whole point of you
- 37:55speaking is to feed us the information.
- 38:00No, that's for. Radio call.
- 38:02I don't need the description, the whole no, no, no.
- 38:05When we do this, the whole thing is like you give.
- 38:07I mean, maybe not this particular instance, but you
- 38:10can't in one in one breath say you need to describe, you need
- 38:15to feed us info. But then on the other side of
- 38:17your mouth, you're going, well, you need.
- 38:21You need to let it breathe. You need to give it time.
- 38:24You need to. You need to just.
- 38:26No, I think there's time and let it breathe when the crowd is
- 38:30going absolutely nuts. I think when there's a game
- 38:34changing moment, I think this is an excellent catch.
- 38:38It's early in the game. I need you to be on point.
- 38:42I need you to describe. All he said was he's going
- 38:46straight back. And then it stopped.
- 38:48Oh my. Oh my goodness.
- 38:50Like what if I'm not watching? What?
- 38:54What happened? Did he catch it?
- 38:56Did he slam against the wall? The broadcast called you.
- 39:00You are watching it. This isn't radio.
- 39:04No, Boo, don't sit here and tell me that you're staring at the TV
- 39:09during all 27 ounce of a ball game.
- 39:11But you can, if you're the broadcaster, you can have a
- 39:16pretty. Safe.
- 39:17What's the point of a broadcaster at all if all we're
- 39:19doing is watching? What's the point of them at all
- 39:22if they're not going to describe what's going on?
- 39:24You don't. Have to describe you can
- 39:27respond, which is what he did he.
- 39:30Didn't we have no idea what happened?
- 39:34We don't know if. You were watching the game, you
- 39:36knew what happened. Then tell Vince Scully that.
- 39:40Tell Bob Euchre that. Oh.
- 39:42Sure, let's bring in Vince Scully for our argument.
- 39:46Oh my goodness, this is a six point. 3 Red Sox with a solo
- 39:57home run to cut the deficit to 11.
- 40:02Funny. 12 actually you're going, you're going 6 three on this
- 40:09call. 63 I think everything else was solid.
- 40:12I think it was a good moment. I think the Oh my goodness, I
- 40:15like that. I'm not saying don't have that
- 40:17type of reaction, but like we can describe either the moment
- 40:22quickly before the moment happens.
- 40:24Or after Harris. Spreading straight back.
- 40:27Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness, that is as sensational as it
- 40:37gets. Michael Harris.
- 40:40Did he rob it? Did he dive?
- 40:42Did he slam against the wall? If you were watching the if you
- 40:46were watching the game, you would know.
- 40:48No. Ah.
- 40:51No look 6.3 and that's generous. I'm being generous with a 6.3.
- 40:56Look. I kind of want to drop it down
- 40:58after hearing it again. Oh my gosh.
- 41:01If. Look.
- 41:06If I'm watching the game, I don't necessarily need
- 41:08everything described in detail perfectly.
- 41:14What I'm saying though, is if you're not going to describe it
- 41:18all, take this route. Just give me, Just give me like
- 41:23one word. Like give me, what's that?
- 41:26What's that word we learned in English?
- 41:32Not failing you out. Not nouns, not verbs, Not what's
- 41:38the word? Somebody to chat, help me out.
- 41:41Not oxymorons. What's the word?
- 41:46Bail me out, put All right, fine.
- 41:47I'm going to look it up. Is it oxymorons?
- 41:51Nope, that's not it. It's definitely not.
- 41:54What do you know the word? Can you tell me?
- 41:56The word I don't know what you're.
- 41:57Telling I'm not going to be able to finish my thought.
- 42:00But I'm not going to help you. What the score goes down because
- 42:07of this. You're at a loss for words.
- 42:12And so was he. Not interjections.
- 42:14Yeah, because of how great of a play it was that you should have
- 42:17been watching with your eyeballs anyway.
- 42:22Give me just like one word drop in like, Oh my goodness.
- 42:26Or something like that. Is it onomatopoeia?
- 42:30I think that's. The word, I think that's the
- 42:32word. Thanks.
- 42:34I'm like halfway through the thought now.
- 42:36And then you bail me out. Yeah, Yeah, I think that's it.
- 42:43But yeah, just just be the punctuation mark to what I just
- 42:48saw and that he did that. He and he did it well.
- 42:53So what's your rating? What was your 6/6?
- 42:57What a generous 63. I'll go 51 now.
- 43:06I'm going to. Go.
- 43:08I'm going to. Go.
- 43:11I think in my head I was trying to go higher just because I knew
- 43:14that you were so against this call.
- 43:17But I think if I'm being rational here.
- 43:22Because my first question that I asked you right after play
- 43:25really played. Yeah.
- 43:28Played a role in this rating, didn't it?
- 43:30And remind me again, what was that first question?
- 43:34How much did the play hype up the call?
- 43:42Yeah, all of this is. Up in the play.
- 43:44All of this is what you consider as you're watching with your
- 43:48eyeballs. That's part of the equation.
- 43:51My back was TVI was I was doing dishes.
- 43:56OK, so if if your back is to the TV, you're doing dishes and you
- 44:00hear, Oh my goodness, Oh my, are you going to turn around?
- 44:05Are you going to hear, are you going to, are you more likely to
- 44:08turn around in that scenario or are you going to turn around if
- 44:10the guy goes? Well, that was like a 27.2 foot
- 44:14foot per second Sprint speed and he tracked it.
- 44:17He covered 73 feet of real estate to make that catch.
- 44:22Here's what we can do next week. It just because of this is that
- 44:25we need to get, we need pull up like a a Jim Edmonds catch or
- 44:30anyone going straight back and making a play and see what that
- 44:35call was like. That's what we're going to do.
- 44:41Fine, fine. I don't even.
- 44:44I don't care about this anymore. Go home.
- 44:47Ball game Cardinals nine straight 9.
- 44:51Straight for the Cardinals. What else we got here.
- 44:58Evan Longoria. You're ready.
- 45:00It's not important, Evan. OK, it was a I'll go. 6-8 I'll
- 45:17go. 6-8 No. Moving along, I'm going to give
- 45:23it a, I'm going to give it a. I'm going to give it a 7 O I'm
- 45:30going to give it a 7 O anyway. I can.
- 45:33Do I have reasoning? Do we do?
- 45:35Do we at least have reasoning for this?
- 45:37This is just a gut feeling shooting from the hip.
- 45:40I told you I like the fact that it was the punctuation mark to
- 45:44an incredible catch. That's all my reasoning is the
- 45:47Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness, he wasn't in there dropping
- 45:50advanced analytics on the way to commercial, which is another,
- 45:54which is another element to this.
- 45:56This play took them to commercial break.
- 45:59So you can say what you're going to say, let it ride out and go
- 46:02to break. It's different if this is like
- 46:03for the first out of the inning. Anyway, not talking about
- 46:06anymore every Longoria. You got to add that slams up
- 46:09against the wall to end the inning.
- 46:11Like that's all I need at the end and and I feel a lot better
- 46:16about. It this is crazy.
- 46:17You know I'm right. Evan Longoria has called it a
- 46:21career, and I'll be honest with you, I thought he had been
- 46:24retired years ago for at least a decade.
- 46:28No, not actually a decade, but it sure.
- 46:30Felt like a while. Yeah, we'll sign.
- 46:32He's going to sign a one day contract with the Rays.
- 46:36He's 39. Played 16 years in the bigs, 10
- 46:40of them with the aforementioned Rays.
- 46:43Was rookie of the year. What else about Evan Longoria?
- 46:50Earned MVP votes in six different seasons, Deese 20 plus
- 46:55homers in 10 in 10 different seasons and went 30 plus homers
- 47:004 times. He'll retire with a career slash
- 47:05line of 264-330-3471 or 342 home runs.
- 47:11That's a that's a quality, that's a quality career man 342
- 47:18dingers just. Shy just shy of 2000 hits.
- 47:22That's a very good career. How many did he finish with?
- 47:251930. I I could live with that if it
- 47:30I'd you know how much it would eat at me if it was like 1997.
- 47:35That's that's the the a rod comp, I think it was 698 or 697
- 47:41something like that. That's even worse.
- 47:44That's yeah, home runs are. That's even wondrous.
- 47:46Is like that would haunt me. Oh my goodness.
- 47:48Yeah, that's that's tough. This is I feel like we.
- 47:53We talk about this a lot. This is one of those scenarios
- 47:56where I'd rather I would have rather he stayed with the Rays
- 48:01and sort of be one of their like forever franchise guys, which,
- 48:05like, I mean, he still is at the end of the day, not not, you
- 48:10know, contractually, but just because he ended up playing with
- 48:15the what was it the D backs the Giants?
- 48:17Was there anybody else? I didn't realize he was a giant
- 48:20for five years. Yeah, it was the Giants and then
- 48:26and then the D backs. I think he finished with the D
- 48:28backs. Yeah, last year the D backs was
- 48:302023. Yeah, I had a 124 OPS plus in
- 48:362021 for the Giants. Was that that year?
- 48:40Was that that year they went freaking stupid?
- 48:43They only played 81 games, but. That 21 Giants team, that was
- 48:47the like 103 win team, whatever. Yeah, Yeah, I think you're
- 48:51right. Oh yeah, this is one of those
- 48:55cases where it's like you wish you could have stayed a forever
- 48:58Ray, as I'm sure they're. You got a you got a favorite.
- 49:02I I loved. There was something so swaggy
- 49:06about Evan Longoria's stance. There was something like so
- 49:10chill about his stance. Just very upright and just kind
- 49:15of low sitting, just toe taps kind of comes up like it was
- 49:20very smooth. I tried, I like in our very like
- 49:24limited, like the video work we did in college.
- 49:29That was the guy that I tried sort of modeling what I did
- 49:33after 'cause it was, to your point, very loose.
- 49:35Very. Very relaxed, which is something
- 49:39I like struggled with that. I was, I'd get, I'd tighten up a
- 49:41little bit, get too tense with like the hands, whatever.
- 49:44But he was just this like free flowing guy.
- 49:46And another thing that I have to credit him for, which I I
- 49:50implemented in college. Is there's a video floating
- 49:53around out there somewhere? It may have been like one of
- 49:56those sports science videos or something.
- 49:58But he he did this thing which I loved is it was a pre pitch
- 50:03routine that he had. Where he when he would was it
- 50:06before he stepped into the box? Before he stepped into the box,
- 50:10he would look at the top of the foul pole.
- 50:13I heard about this. As a as sort of like a zeroing
- 50:16in mechanism, because he said regardless where you played,
- 50:20what time of day, what time of year.
- 50:23That was always. There that was always going to
- 50:25be there is a top of the foul pole like you, you couldn't
- 50:28focus on other things because I may or may not be there, but you
- 50:30always he could always rely on that.
- 50:32And that was something I incorporated and because I I
- 50:34just love that sort of mechanism.
- 50:38Yeah, I like that. But anyway, heck of a career.
- 50:41Heck of a career. Heck of a career.
- 50:44Very, very, very solid career. We put him in the Hall of Very
- 50:48Good. Hall of very good raised retire
- 50:52his number. I think that's that's all in in
- 50:56stock for him, yeah. The Pope, I'm sure you've heard,
- 51:07is apparently a White Sox fan named named the Pope last week,
- 51:12Pope Leo the 14th. I saw this tweet from well, I'm
- 51:19sure you've seen the, the videos and stuff going around where
- 51:22somebody apparently like went back, yeah, and found and found.
- 51:26Footage of him at the well, I mean, I'm sure once you start
- 51:30that, like if it's somebody close to him, I'm sure once you
- 51:33start that, you go down that rabbit hole.
- 51:35It honestly, like, it sounds crazy, but the more I thought
- 51:38about it, I'm like, that's actually pretty easy.
- 51:39Like you, you're talking to the Pope and he's like, yeah, I was
- 51:42at the World Series back in 2005.
- 51:44Oh, which game were you at? Game.
- 51:45Whatever. Where are we sitting?
- 51:47I was actually pretty close to the field.
- 51:49Then you just go back and watch the game.
- 51:50Oh, there's the Pope. Boom, game over.
- 51:52Wild to end up on TV. It is no, that's that is the
- 51:55crazy part for sure. Like it looks like a brief.
- 51:57Quick second. Yeah, the fact that they caught
- 52:00him, but I'm like, that's my favorite part of that whole
- 52:03thing was all everybody in the comments were like, he's one of
- 52:05us, he's one of us. But I saw this tweet.
- 52:12Which, you know, if I'm a, I'm a White Sox fan, it's kind of
- 52:15getting me fired up. But Chico Harlan on Twitter said
- 52:18there's some this was from a few days ago said there's some
- 52:23conflicting reporting on whether the new Pope Leo fourteen 14th
- 52:27is a Cubs or White Sox fan. Well.
- 52:30I just spoke with. Augustinian Friar Joseph Ferrell
- 52:36Last night, Ferrell texted to ask Pope Leo the 14th responded
- 52:40less than four hours after being elected with one word quote,
- 52:44socks. I'm like, that's a.
- 52:47That's a. Me up material.
- 52:49That's a fan right there. That's a fan.
- 52:53That's cool. I mean, I, I'm not Catholic, so
- 52:54I don't know, but do you think you think when he's doing his, I
- 52:58mean. They do like what are, what are
- 53:00they like benedictions and things like that.
- 53:02They, I don't know what they do. Do you think, you think while
- 53:07he's doing these things, he's got you?
- 53:11You think he's got the MLB Apple up on his phone?
- 53:14Off to the side. Watching some socks, Yeah, Like
- 53:19during confession. During confession while he's
- 53:23meeting with his Cardinals. Is that a thing?
- 53:25I. Feel like this would make a
- 53:27really good commercial. Just like in the booth,
- 53:31someone's confessing, watching. Some socks go go.
- 53:40It has been six weeks since since my last confession.
- 53:43Send him. Yeah.
- 53:50Pretty neat, Pretty cool, Pretty, pretty cool.
- 53:54White Sox have had some weird fans.
- 53:58Who else? Your your new friend Obama.
- 54:04Did I mention that on here? I don't think you did.
- 54:07Was that last episode? Fuck, did I mention that?
- 54:10Did you? I don't know.
- 54:12You told me about it, obviously, but I don't.
- 54:15I don't know. Almost ran into Obama on his
- 54:17golf cart. Crazy I was.
- 54:20I was out at the out at the driving range with my wife's
- 54:25grandfather. He's a member at this club that
- 54:28apparently Obama golfs at regularly.
- 54:30And he's making his way around like it started raining.
- 54:35We start, we make our way up to the parking lot and.
- 54:39Two SU VS and. At the end of the the car path
- 54:43and he's like trying to get around him but he can't.
- 54:44So he starts backing up and he's got presumably turns out their
- 54:48Secret Service. They go.
- 54:49Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. My wife's grandpa slams on his
- 54:53brakes. Turn around.
- 54:54Here comes Obama riding shotgun on a on the golf cart behind us.
- 54:59So I almost would have been on the I would have been on the
- 55:01Evening News had something happened to him.
- 55:03It could have been. What could have been?
- 55:06Speaking of rain, last thing I got here, did you?
- 55:09Did you see what the rays did for their first ever rain delay?
- 55:16I did not. They gave out commemorative
- 55:18ponchos, so they they put something up on the scoreboard.
- 55:21It was like, come to the I don't know, info desk or whatever and
- 55:26get a get a commemorative rain poncho and it.
- 55:29Said they were they were prepped for.
- 55:31This for sure, for sure, which I love.
- 55:33You got to love the attention to detail and.
- 55:36You go up and get the poncho, it says.
- 55:37Ray's first rain delay. It's presented by Budweiser.
- 55:41Classic. That's cool.
- 55:42That's cool. That's a good.
- 55:43That's a really good idea. Really, really smart.
- 55:47It's going to be interesting man, because they like front
- 55:49loaded all of their games to be at home and to try and avoid
- 55:54rain during the the late spring and early summer.
- 55:57So it's going to be weird to see, but you're going to see the
- 56:00roads, the roads out a lot. Rd.
- 56:03Grays rocking for the Rays quite a bit.
- 56:08Yeah, man, 27 years hadn't had a rain delay, you know, because
- 56:12they played in a Dome, but still.
- 56:14Pretty, pretty cool. What's all I got, man?
- 56:20Good stuff, guy. Look, are we going to, are we
- 56:23going to plug this? Are we going to try to commit to
- 56:25this Sunday? Should we, should we plug it?
- 56:27It's a good one to start. What's Well, yeah, I was going
- 56:31to ask what's the what's the match up?
- 56:34It's Soto playing the Yanks for the first time.
- 56:39Oh, is that this weekend? And it's in the Yankee Stadium,
- 56:42I believe. Oh, Troy.
- 56:44So that's going to be interesting.
- 56:46All right, so tentatively, Yeah, you're right.
- 56:49Mets at the Bronx, 7:10 PM Eastern.
- 56:56Yeah. So if you've heard us talking
- 56:58about trying to link up for a Sunday night broadcast, it's
- 57:04because we are going to do a little.
- 57:06We're going to do a little learn how to keep.
- 57:08Book with Nate, which by the way, you have yet to send me a
- 57:11recommendation for book that I need to purchase for this let's.
- 57:16Get on Amazon after this. I'll tell you which one.
- 57:19So yeah, if you want to hang out with us, if you want to any any
- 57:25of the following, if you want to hang out with us, if you want to
- 57:28learn how to keep book. If you already know how to keep
- 57:31book, but. Just want to watch some ball
- 57:33with the boys and some grub maybe.
- 57:37BYOG, bring your own grub. Then make plant tentatively I'll
- 57:45I'll confirm as I'll. I will confirm as we get closer
- 57:51but plan tentatively to join us this Sunday and I would make
- 57:56sure I didn't have anything because I've been busy.
- 57:57Pretty much the last like well, as Sundays, it seems yeah join
- 58:03plan make plans to join us Sunday night and bring a book If
- 58:08you want to learn how to how to keep book because I'm I'm I've
- 58:11been a fan of baseball my entire life.
- 58:12Don't know how to keep book. I mean, I know I know what a lot
- 58:15of the things mean obviously, but in terms of keeping a book
- 58:18start to finish, I've never learned.
- 58:20So Nate's going to teach me and and maybe some of you all.
- 58:24Yeah, I'd be surprised how easy it is.
- 58:26And this gives you enough time, listener, to buy a book and for
- 58:30it to get here in time. So come and hang out Sunday
- 58:34while we learn some things. You know you're never too old.
- 58:41I'm going to just go ahead and make this request now, though.
- 58:44I'm going to need you to sort of be engaged with me and the
- 58:49people that have joined us because I know how you get when
- 58:52you watch your Yankees. What are you talking about?
- 58:54No. You've told me how what the
- 58:57experience is like when you watch Yankees games, you don't
- 59:00want anybody around. You want to be able to.
- 59:01Focus. Yeah, I get it.
- 59:03Depends on how the series goes to be honest with you.
- 59:06It doesn't. It's not going to matter because
- 59:08you're going to be locked in regardless.
- 59:11I'll be locked in very well, promise.
- 59:17That's all I got, unless you got anything for the folks.
- 59:19Read the lid if you can't read and if you're not watching and
- 59:25you need some descriptors because that's what my job is.
- 59:29Don't go chasing curveballs. That's crazy because you could
- 59:33be watching it. Like if you flip on YouTube,
- 59:35you're going there to watch so you can read, so you don't need
- 59:40those descriptors. That's crazy.
- 59:42A lot of assumptions out here. Check out Nate's lid also my lid
- 59:46we're wearing. We're rocking couple hats from
- 59:48the shop. Check out the shop 3 O take TH.
- 59:52REEOHTA ke.com/shop if you want a lid, shirt, jersey, we got it
- 1:00:01all on there. Beanie.

- 1:00:11out there maybe don't have super warm weather yet.
- 1:00:16I'm not one of them, unfortunately.
- 1:00:18We love you all and as always, looking forward to talking more
- 1:00:20baseball with you guys soon. Until next time, stay.
- 1:00:26Filthy.
