- 2:12Speaker 1: A Big Mess in Texas, The incredible true story of
- 2:18Speaker 1: the Dallas Texans. I knew nothing about this nothing day
- 2:28Speaker 1: that I think found out about it looking at some
- 2:31Speaker 1: old pictures, going what is that? And he has tracked
- 2:35Speaker 1: down everything it is. It is wild. He will join
- 2:41Speaker 1: us as well on the show. You need to phone
- 2:43Speaker 1: the neighbors and wait the kids for that one. Who's
- 2:48Speaker 1: going to replace James Franklin on three Sports as Marcus
- 2:51Speaker 1: Freeman is the new target? The Notre Dame coach Pete
- 2:58Speaker 1: Nakos have on three writes. Sources have told on Free
- 3:01Speaker 1: Alabama's Klin de Boro, Ohio states Ryan Day are not
- 3:05Speaker 1: serious candidates, but ad Patrick Kraft plans to take a
- 3:10Speaker 1: couple of big swings, which he should. There are three
- 3:14Speaker 1: or four coaches that you must call right you let
- 3:17Speaker 1: them tell you.
- 3:18Speaker 4: No.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Freeman is a big swing. I think he's only thirty nine.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I think he's done a fantastic job with the Irish
- 3:29Speaker 1: and he is probably going to be in the playoffs
- 3:35Speaker 1: again this year. The Earl Campbell Tyler Roseward National Player
- 3:41Speaker 1: of the Week. Cameron Dickie, Texas Tech running back out
- 3:45Speaker 1: of Crockett High School in Austin. Dicky ran for a
- 3:49Speaker 1: career two hundred and sixty three yards in the forty
- 3:53Speaker 1: two seventeen beat down over Kansas Saturday night. He had
- 3:57Speaker 1: twenty one carries. His performance marked the most rushing yards
- 4:02Speaker 1: in a single game by a runner this year, the
- 4:07Speaker 1: most by a Big twelve runner since Abu Sama of
- 4:13Speaker 1: Iowa State went for two seventy six a couple of
- 4:17Speaker 1: years ago. The school record is Barron hands Bards to
- 4:22Speaker 1: eighty seven. This we know about Barron hands Bard. He
- 4:28Speaker 1: didn't have to go to class while he was doing
- 4:31Speaker 1: those records. Vanderbilt, Now we're gonna hear from the coach
- 4:37Speaker 1: here in a minute. Vanderbilt is favored over a ranked
- 4:45Speaker 1: opponent for the first time in forty seven years. It
- 4:52Speaker 1: has been nineteen seventy eight at least since Vanderbilt was
- 5:00Speaker 1: was favored to beat a ranked opponent. They host LSU
- 5:07Speaker 1: this Saturday. This is their one hundred and seventy seventh
- 5:12Speaker 1: game against a ranked opponent during that span, and they
- 5:16Speaker 1: have not been favored. After a frustrating career at Texas,
- 5:23Speaker 1: sophomore running back Jerret Gibson announces he's leaving the program.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Gibson carried one time for minus three yards in the
- 5:32Speaker 1: win over Oklahoma on Saturday. He's run for one hundred
- 5:37Speaker 1: and fifty two yards and one touchdown. He was a
- 5:40Speaker 1: lot busier a year ago, when he had three hundred
- 5:43Speaker 1: and seventy seven yards, seventy eight carries and four touchdowns.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Gibson just never found his way in a running backs room,
- 5:57Speaker 1: especially with the return of Trey Y. Freshman James Simon
- 6:02Speaker 1: Christian Clark have taken up that slack.
- 6:05Speaker 5: CJ.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Baxter, who they were counting heavily upon is still out.
- 6:10Speaker 1: As I mentioned earlier, the Dallas Stars have their home
- 6:16Speaker 1: opener tonight eight thirty ESPN against the Minnesota Wild. We'll
- 6:24Speaker 1: hear from their head coach. Coming up baseball continues. Last night,
- 6:30Speaker 1: the Dodgers won a wild one in Milwaukee against the Bruise.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Matt Snell was phenomenal. The wildest double play in playoff
- 6:46Speaker 1: baseball history, and I would argue one of the wildest
- 6:50Speaker 1: double plays in the history of baseball. If you don't
- 6:56Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about, didn't see it, google it.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Not right now because I'm talking, but but google it.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Wild double play Dodgers versus Brewers. It'll come right up.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I promise you. It is crazy out there. Blue Jays Mariners.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Blue Jays are the ones that are supposed to hit
- 7:22Speaker 1: the Polota. The Mariners are just pounding the polota and
- 7:28Speaker 1: they have a two games to none lead heading home
- 7:32Speaker 1: Tomorrow night. Game three ALCS Kirby versus Bieber scheduled not
- 7:43Speaker 1: justin Bieber, although he's a big Toronto Blue Jays fan,
- 7:48Speaker 1: Scheduled for tomorrow evening. By the way, you can get
- 7:53Speaker 1: a ticket to that game for as little as two
- 7:56Speaker 1: hundred and thirty one dollars on the secondary market. I
- 8:01Speaker 1: suspect the Dodgers Brewers game tonight is more than that. Nope,
- 8:06Speaker 1: I would be wrong. The Brewers have already had their
- 8:10Speaker 1: hearts cut out and they've only lost one game. You
- 8:12Speaker 1: can get a ticket at American Family Field for tonight's
- 8:16Speaker 1: Dodgers Brewers in LCS for eighty three dollars. I'm going
- 8:24Speaker 1: to look during the break and see what tickets in
- 8:27Speaker 1: fayet Nam are going for for the Aggies and the
- 8:31Speaker 1: piggy people. I don't know. My guess would be more
- 8:36Speaker 1: than eighty three dollars. But I've got a couple of
- 8:41Speaker 1: things here in my apps that I can pull up.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Let's do that seventy dollars on which service? Okay, that's
- 8:54Speaker 1: where I was, so seventy bucks. If I want two tickets,
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'll take way more than that. Fifty six dollars. I
- 9:06Speaker 1: get two tickets.
- 9:07Speaker 6: I was adding in their fees because they throw.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Like this is including fees, really really fifty six fifty nine.
- 9:20Speaker 1: These are at the top of the stadium, so get
- 9:25Speaker 1: in pretty cheap for the game on Saturday. I wouldn't
- 9:28Speaker 1: say the piggy people are over the top with Bobby
- 9:32Speaker 1: Petrino yet, so we'll we'll see about that. Scott Clandennon
- 9:37Speaker 1: will be with us tomorrow. We'll have some topics as usual.
- 9:42Speaker 1: My guess is, well it's my show. We're gonna do
- 9:45Speaker 1: a little Aggie basketball tomorrow. Had a couple of players
- 9:50Speaker 1: and the coach meet with the media today, So we've
- 9:53Speaker 1: got that going on for us, which is nice. And Thursday,
- 9:59Speaker 1: don't for we get our Clark Eisenhower outdoor edition every Thursday.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Very angry animals doing very bad things. All right, we're
- 10:09Speaker 1: gonna come back. We're gonna hear from Bobby Petrino, former
- 10:14Speaker 1: A and M offensive coach. Former was that Atlanta he
- 10:19Speaker 1: left in the middle of the night. He left Arkansas
- 10:22Speaker 1: in the middle of the night, and then he was
- 10:23Speaker 1: Atlanta for a little while. And I think he didn't
- 10:26Speaker 1: stay very long in Atlanta. He went a lot of
- 10:29Speaker 1: places in the middle of the night. Actually, you know,
- 10:32Speaker 1: he got booted from Arkansas after that very unfortunate motorcycle accident. Okay,
- 10:41Speaker 1: we're going to take a break. Final Lap is brought
- 10:43Speaker 1: to you by Chad Jones Law.
- 10:47Speaker 7: I'm Chad Jones. Each year, our team looks forward to
- 10:49Speaker 7: one of our favorite traditions, our annual Coach for Kids event,
- 10:52Speaker 7: where we get back by providing coach to the local
- 10:54Speaker 7: children who need the most. On Saturday, October eighteenth, ten
- 10:57Speaker 7: to noon, we invite you to our Chad Jones Law
- 10:59Speaker 7: office at twin eleven Earl Rudder Freeway for this special
- 11:02Speaker 7: drive through event. We'll be handing out coachs for kids,
- 11:05Speaker 7: so come see us and as always, your child must
- 11:07Speaker 7: be present to pick out their coat. It's the twelfth
- 11:09Speaker 7: annual Coach for Kids Event Saturday October eighteenth at Chad
- 11:12Speaker 7: Jones Law in College Station.
- 11:17Speaker 8: I'm Kerrie Murphy with your NASCAR Expinity Series race recap
- 11:21Speaker 8: from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Eric Almarola led one hundred
- 11:24Speaker 8: and seven of the two hundred one laps on the
- 11:26Speaker 8: day for his third win this season while running part time.
- 11:30Speaker 8: It's his tenth career win as well.
- 11:32Speaker 9: It was awesome to race those guys. I felt like
- 11:35Speaker 9: Stage one, my car was really good. I had what
- 11:39Speaker 9: I needed. Stage two I was okay, but the two
- 11:42Speaker 9: obviously had pace and was running me down at the end,
- 11:45Speaker 9: so we needed to make an adjustment. We didn't quite
- 11:47Speaker 9: adjust enough, and so stage three. I took off okay
- 11:51Speaker 9: and was able to get back to the lead, but
- 11:52Speaker 9: the longer I ran, they were better on the long run,
- 11:55Speaker 9: and that was really my strength in the spring race. Here,
- 11:57Speaker 9: our car was really good on the long run, but
- 12:00Speaker 9: I just took forever to get going on the short run.
- 12:02Speaker 9: So we made some changes in an effort to fix
- 12:06Speaker 9: that and to be better on the short run and
- 12:08Speaker 9: hopefully not as you know, not fall off, but we
- 12:12Speaker 9: weren't just able to do that. We fixed the first
- 12:15Speaker 9: twenty laps of the run, but after about twenty five
- 12:18Speaker 9: thirty laps on tires, I started to struggle.
- 12:20Speaker 8: Connor Zilitz was one spot short of the win in second,
- 12:22Speaker 8: followed by Justin Olgeyer, Corey Day and Nick Sanchez rounds
- 12:26Speaker 8: out the top five. On the outside looking in the
- 12:29Speaker 8: round of eight, our Brandon Jones, Sheldon Creed, Carson Quoppole,
- 12:32Speaker 8: and Sammy Smith up next to the NASCAR Xfinity Series
- 12:36Speaker 8: is the wild Card of all wild Card events, Talladega Superspeedway, Saturday,

- 12:43Speaker 5: This is the final.

- 14:07Speaker 1: And the great Robbins. So there you go. Okay, as promised,
- 14:18Speaker 1: we're gonna hear from Bobby Petrino. He met with the
- 14:22Speaker 1: media yesterday in Fayetnam, and let's hear what he has
- 14:27Speaker 1: to say about this game coming up Saturday afternoon.
- 14:32Speaker 15: You mentioned some of the miscues up front on the
- 14:36Speaker 15: offensive line, and it seemed like Tennessee did a lot
- 14:38Speaker 15: of blitzing. Is that kind of where you saw that,
- 14:40Speaker 15: like maybe missing assignments on blitzing and everything.
- 14:43Speaker 16: I mean, some of it came on third down what
- 14:46Speaker 16: you're talking about on the show, looks and different things
- 14:48Speaker 16: they do.
- 14:49Speaker 3: And you know, although I was very very.
- 14:51Speaker 16: Proud of us only having one penalty, not having any
- 14:55Speaker 16: pre snap penalties with that noise and in there in
- 14:58Speaker 16: that stadium, would was actually pretty amazing. We did have
- 15:02Speaker 16: a couple of communication errors and that's what showed up
- 15:06Speaker 16: is you know, the guard not telling the tackle one
- 15:09Speaker 16: time and the other tackle not getting the call one time,
- 15:12Speaker 16: and it ended up being a communication issue. Although we
- 15:15Speaker 16: didn't get a penalty on it one of them. Maybe
- 15:18Speaker 16: it'd have been better to get the penalty than the miscommunication.
- 15:21Speaker 16: But for the most part, they did a nice job
- 15:24Speaker 16: of handling the atmosphere and handling the noise. And I
- 15:28Speaker 16: thought that was a nice job by Tailing, and of
- 15:31Speaker 16: course our offensive line.
- 15:33Speaker 15: And then for Texas A and M, I mean, they're
- 15:35Speaker 15: kind of the core of their team. Is that offensive
- 15:38Speaker 15: and defensive line what impresses the most maybe looking at
- 15:41Speaker 15: their film on those two sides.
- 15:43Speaker 16: Yeah, they still have good speed on on the defensive front,
- 15:47Speaker 16: the ends. There guys that can really rush the passer
- 15:49Speaker 16: and come off. We played against a couple of them
- 15:51Speaker 16: last year. One of them changed his number. He looks
- 15:54Speaker 16: faster now being in a single digit and has had
- 15:57Speaker 16: a really good year, So we got to we gotta
- 15:59Speaker 16: make sure we we have a way to take care
- 16:01Speaker 16: of him. You know, last year they had three d
- 16:05Speaker 16: linemen that were very, very high draft picks, and they
- 16:09Speaker 16: look like they replaced them. So they do a nice
- 16:12Speaker 16: job of recruiting there on their defensive front, the offensive front,
- 16:15Speaker 16: A lot of those guys are guys that played for
- 16:18Speaker 16: me when I was there. You know, they were able
- 16:20Speaker 16: to get really good retention, and they're going to have
- 16:23Speaker 16: good size and good experience.
- 16:25Speaker 3: So we're going to have to do a good job
- 16:26Speaker 3: of making sure that we.
- 16:28Speaker 16: Are firm up front and our linebackers do a good
- 16:31Speaker 16: job of fitting the runs.
- 16:34Speaker 17: You were three and zero against them when the series
- 16:36Speaker 17: first renewed in nine through eleven ten, but they really
- 16:42Speaker 17: owned Arkansas in conference play. What you've been there in
- 16:45Speaker 17: three twenty three. What have you seen from the A
- 16:48Speaker 17: and M program that maybe has allowed them to reach
- 16:51Speaker 17: this footing in the SEC.
- 16:54Speaker 16: I mean, that's a hard one for me to answer.
- 16:55Speaker 16: I'm an O back when we played him was a
- 16:58Speaker 16: while back, and are always good games. I remember being
- 17:01Speaker 16: down eighteen at halftime one time and being able to
- 17:04Speaker 16: come back.
- 17:05Speaker 3: And find a way to win.
- 17:07Speaker 16: But you know, it's a school with a lot of resources,
- 17:11Speaker 16: and they've got a good recruiting base when you're in
- 17:15Speaker 16: the state of Texas, and they've done a nice job
- 17:17Speaker 16: with it, and you know, I think they got good
- 17:20Speaker 16: players and they've got experienced players up front. We're going
- 17:23Speaker 16: to have to play good football to compete with them
- 17:26Speaker 16: and have an opportunity to win the game in the
- 17:29Speaker 16: fourth quarter.
- 17:30Speaker 17: You mentioned the other night at the game that A
- 17:32Speaker 17: and M had a d line and did similar things
- 17:34Speaker 17: to last year. Can you maybe speak to what the
- 17:36Speaker 17: strength of their defense is. It's definitely their defensive front
- 17:40Speaker 17: and linebackers. You know, their linebackers are really experienced.
- 17:44Speaker 3: And they know football.
- 17:45Speaker 16: And you know, the guy that's calling all the calls
- 17:48Speaker 16: for him out there, he played as a true freshman
- 17:50Speaker 16: as a starter, and he's a guy that really knows
- 17:53Speaker 16: the game. They do have an experienced back in and
- 17:56Speaker 16: they do a good job with their safeties getting to
- 17:58Speaker 16: the run fits and make tackles barely across the line
- 18:03Speaker 16: of scrimmage.
- 18:03Speaker 3: So we're gonna have to do a good.
- 18:04Speaker 16: Job on our how we handle their force and how
- 18:07Speaker 16: we handle who's coming down at what safety and making
- 18:10Speaker 16: sure we get a body on them.
- 18:11Speaker 17: Have you got any updates on Wooden was hurt on
- 18:14Speaker 17: the same play, Aguilla was hurt, and then the guys
- 18:16Speaker 17: who showed up on the report last week scander it
- 18:19Speaker 17: poshka Oki, those guys.
- 18:21Speaker 16: Yeah, Wolodn's doing good. He's okay, uh Oki. He'll be
- 18:27Speaker 16: out for a little bit. Andreas unfortunately had to have
- 18:33Speaker 16: a surgery, so he's out for the year, and I'm
- 18:41Speaker 16: not sure about Scandlet yet. You know, he tried to
- 18:43Speaker 16: go last week. He made a couple uh periods in
- 18:47Speaker 16: practice we thought he was going to be available, and
- 18:50Speaker 16: then he wasn't able to finish the practice the next day,
- 18:53Speaker 16: so he he ended up on that. But you know,
- 18:56Speaker 16: there there is a possibility that he could be back
- 18:59Speaker 16: and ready to go.
- 19:01Speaker 18: Which you looked over the game in terms of the
- 19:04Speaker 18: pass protection breaking down on the fumbles, did you see
- 19:08Speaker 18: just when when you look back at it, did you
- 19:10Speaker 18: see more on the quarterback holding the ball where the
- 19:12Speaker 18: receivers not getting open? How did how did you see
- 19:14Speaker 18: that going down?
- 19:16Speaker 16: Yeah, the first fumble was simply not pass protection at all.
- 19:19Speaker 3: It was a naked play.
- 19:21Speaker 16: Unfortunately it was to his left and you know, he's
- 19:25Speaker 16: got to know that if I'm not I'm in a
- 19:27Speaker 16: position where I am with that defensive end and the ball.
- 19:29Speaker 16: I just got to tuck the ball in my left
- 19:31Speaker 16: arm and get as much as I can. Uh, he's
- 19:34Speaker 16: trying to overdo it and do a little bit too much.
- 19:39Speaker 16: The other one was you know, did the ball was
- 19:43Speaker 16: it in his hand when his arm went forward or
- 19:45Speaker 16: was it not? You know, Uh, that's a that's a
- 19:48Speaker 16: hard one to think. He thought he was going to
- 19:50Speaker 16: make a big play and you know, I don't know
- 19:54Speaker 16: you you saw the play, so there's only so much
- 19:57Speaker 16: I can say, right.
- 19:58Speaker 18: Und and then just looking ahead of this game, Marcel
- 20:01Speaker 18: Reese a dual threat guy. Defensively, how do you go
- 20:06Speaker 18: against that and defend that?
- 20:08Speaker 16: Marcel Reid? Yeah, read yeah, Marcel. I know well, he
- 20:13Speaker 16: is in the meeting room with me every every single day,
- 20:15Speaker 16: is redshirt ear and he's got tremendous quickness, tremendous speed.
- 20:21Speaker 16: He's kind of a playmaker, you know, not your normal
- 20:24Speaker 16: just drop back, stay in the pocket and throw the ball.
- 20:27Speaker 16: He moves around, makes plays. He can buy time and
- 20:30Speaker 16: make plays, and that's that's a scary part of it
- 20:33Speaker 16: is when he moves around and keeps his eyes downfield.
- 20:36Speaker 16: You know, we're going to have to really work on
- 20:39Speaker 16: plastering our man and staying with our man and not
- 20:43Speaker 16: coming off.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Who we have because we see him moving and.
- 20:46Speaker 16: That that'll be a point of emphasis for us defensively
- 20:49Speaker 16: this this week.
- 20:51Speaker 3: For sure.
- 20:52Speaker 16: We just got to try to keep him in the pocket,
- 20:55Speaker 16: try to collapse the pocket and not give him room.
- 20:58Speaker 16: And if you cannot give him room, then then you
- 21:00Speaker 16: got an opportunity.
- 21:04Speaker 19: Their offensive corderator Colin Client. I mean you faced them
- 21:07Speaker 19: whenever he was a quarterback at Kansas State and the
- 21:08Speaker 19: cotton bulk Chris, what do you remember about him in
- 21:11Speaker 19: that game? And then also kind of what what do
- 21:13Speaker 19: you make of his system that he runs there at
- 21:15Speaker 19: A and M.
- 21:16Speaker 16: Yeah, I always thought he was a heck of a
- 21:19Speaker 16: runner with the football, you know, when we had to
- 21:21Speaker 16: play him, and even years prior to that, watching the
- 21:24Speaker 16: quarterback runs and I think he was on the probably
- 21:27Speaker 16: one of the front ends of quarterback design runs when
- 21:31Speaker 16: he was a player, and they did a great job
- 21:33Speaker 16: with it. Always had an extra blocker, made it really
- 21:36Speaker 16: really tough. He was, you know, a strong, physical guy
- 21:40Speaker 16: that could really do a great job running the football.
- 21:43Speaker 16: And you know, he's done a nice job of adapting
- 21:46Speaker 16: to their to their you know, their talent. He's he
- 21:49Speaker 16: seems a little bit different than what he was at
- 21:52Speaker 16: Kansas State, and he's utilizing the personnel that he has.
- 21:56Speaker 16: It's a great challenge for us defensively. We just have
- 21:59Speaker 16: to make sure we recognize UH formations, motions and try
- 22:05Speaker 16: to get a pre snap kea, what's coming?
- 22:09Speaker 20: I guess so sorry, and Dix had maybe one of
- 22:12Speaker 20: their better weeks statistically. Just maybe what have you thought
- 22:15Speaker 20: of their improvement and their you know, the linebacker group
- 22:18Speaker 20: as a whole.
- 22:19Speaker 16: Yeah, I think that they've They've did a really nice
- 22:21Speaker 16: job in practice. They did a really nice job and
- 22:24Speaker 16: in their leadership throughout the week. They gave us energy
- 22:29Speaker 16: out there. Sorry, I think for the first time all year,
- 22:32Speaker 16: was was one hundred percent healthy. You know, he missed
- 22:37Speaker 16: a lot in camp and he was not not the head,
- 22:42Speaker 16: didn't have the speed and quickness in some of the
- 22:44Speaker 16: early games, but he showed that in that in that game,
- 22:47Speaker 16: and he actually showed it all week in practice to
- 22:49Speaker 16: be the you know, the fastest first guy to the
- 22:51Speaker 16: ball and playing with a lot of energy and that
- 22:54Speaker 16: helped the entire defense.
- 22:57Speaker 3: And Dix came in and did a great.
- 22:58Speaker 16: Job and you know, had had a really nice game
- 23:02Speaker 16: running to the football and fitting runs and being physical.
- 23:05Speaker 16: And we need those two guys to play well for
- 23:07Speaker 16: us defensively.
- 23:12Speaker 17: All Uh, the tight ends, Uh, they've been really productive
- 23:17Speaker 17: when they've touched it.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Did you did you would you like to get him
- 23:19Speaker 3: the ball more? Definitely? Definitely.
- 23:21Speaker 16: That's a point of interest for us and something we
- 23:23Speaker 16: feel like we need to do.
- 23:25Speaker 3: We made some calls for him the other night and they.
- 23:28Speaker 16: Got covered a little bit. One may maybe was a
- 23:30Speaker 16: p I you know, he threw through it. I thought
- 23:34Speaker 16: it was a nice ball he threw, and he tried
- 23:36Speaker 16: to jump and make the turn and we just didn't
- 23:39Speaker 16: get the call on it. But we need we need
- 23:42Speaker 16: those guys to be productive catching the ball and running
- 23:46Speaker 16: after the catch and making plays for us to to
- 23:49Speaker 16: be consistent and to convert third downs.
- 23:53Speaker 17: With both at A and M and twenty three and
- 23:55Speaker 17: any thoughts about him and you going up against the
- 23:57Speaker 17: aggies'll be fine.
- 24:00Speaker 16: Plats a great young man, you know. He was always
- 24:04Speaker 16: one of my favorites when I was there. He used
- 24:06Speaker 16: to talk to him all the time, and he's a
- 24:09Speaker 16: very unique young man. He's extremely intelligent, and extremely talented
- 24:15Speaker 16: and most one of the most humble young men I've
- 24:18Speaker 16: ever met. So I think our relationship was one of
- 24:23Speaker 16: the reasons that we got him to transfer here, and
- 24:26Speaker 16: I think he's got a bright, bright future ahead of him.
- 24:29Speaker 3: In the game of football.
- 24:32Speaker 15: Against Arkansas at Missouri State and Texas A and M,
- 24:35Speaker 15: any other times you've gone against a former team where
- 24:37Speaker 15: you've coached before the Saturday at.
- 24:40Speaker 3: A and M Man.
- 24:41Speaker 16: I've been in this thing for a long time, so
- 24:44Speaker 16: probably I know that I had, like we were stayed Idaho,
- 24:48Speaker 16: I know that was one of those back there. I
- 24:53Speaker 16: don't know, I probably can't think of anymore right off
- 24:55Speaker 16: the top of my head, but I remember like coaching
- 24:58Speaker 16: at Weaver State, then going to Idaho is the offensive coordinator,
- 25:01Speaker 16: then having to play them a couple of years in
- 25:03Speaker 16: a row.
- 25:05Speaker 15: But I can't remember anything besides that. I know you
- 25:08Speaker 15: were only there for a year. But are there always
- 25:11Speaker 15: some sort of emotions that get carried into a game
- 25:14Speaker 15: like this when you go back to play a school
- 25:16Speaker 15: you have some familiarity with.
- 25:18Speaker 16: Yeah, I mean I just when you watch the video
- 25:20Speaker 16: and the players jump out, you think about them a
- 25:23Speaker 16: little bit and you know your relationship that you had
- 25:26Speaker 16: with them, And that's really about it. Other than that,
- 25:28Speaker 16: we're just focused on getting our preparation right and having
- 25:32Speaker 16: a good week and go compete and find a way
- 25:34Speaker 16: to win the game.
- 25:36Speaker 1: That's Bobby Petrino, uh not taking de bait of course,
- 25:42Speaker 1: very low key two ESPN the ABC game in that
- 25:51Speaker 1: slot is Ole, Miss Georgia at two thirty.
- 25:56Speaker 3: So.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Following Aggie's Arkansaw on ESPN is Texas Kentucky, and an
- 26:08Speaker 1: ABC game at six point thirty is Tennessee Alabama. That's
- 26:14Speaker 1: a rivalry game, a big time rivalry game. But when
- 26:21Speaker 1: one team really kind of keeps beating the other team,
- 26:24Speaker 1: it's it's hard to classify, right, So all right, take
- 26:31Speaker 1: a break here in a minute, we're gonna hear from
- 26:33Speaker 1: a guy that I'm sure we'll get consideration for SEC
- 26:41Speaker 1: Coach of the Year and national Coach of the Year
- 26:44Speaker 1: if they continue to win football games. Vanderbilt's just one
- 26:50Speaker 1: and one, so there's a long way to go. They're
- 26:53Speaker 1: five and one overall. They host LA LSU has not
- 27:02Speaker 1: been playing great football. We'll see what happens. Vanderbilt is
- 27:09Speaker 1: the favorite in that game. So, as we talked earlier
- 27:14Speaker 1: when we went on the air, first time in forty
- 27:16Speaker 1: seven years, they've been favored to win against a team
- 27:22Speaker 1: that is ranked one hundred and seventy seven games worth.
- 27:26Speaker 1: So Caleb has found him some good seats in Vietnam
- 27:30Speaker 1: for the game on Saturday. So if you guys are
- 27:34Speaker 1: thinking about going up there, you can get some pretty
- 27:36Speaker 1: good seats at a pretty good price. You know, I'm
- 27:40Speaker 1: just saying it doesn't look like there's high demand in Fayetnam,
- 27:45Speaker 1: which is that's good news for Aggie fans.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Again.
- 27:48Speaker 1: A couple of good news is playing in the afternoon
- 27:51Speaker 1: not at night, big deal. And you know program that's
- 27:58Speaker 1: been losing not a lot of enthusiasm. Be interesting to
- 28:05Speaker 1: see how they come out, because offensively they can score.
- 28:10Speaker 1: They throw the ball, they run the ball, they can score.
- 28:14Speaker 1: But against the Aggie defense, yeah, I don't know. Florida
- 28:18Speaker 1: had a good quarter. The rest of the game wasn't
- 28:22Speaker 1: not so much se check service center open right now
- 28:25Speaker 1: until sixth this evening. Pat and his staff come to
- 28:29Speaker 1: work every day with the goal to make sure that
- 28:31Speaker 1: you're satisfied with the work that they do. Whether you
- 28:35Speaker 1: have a foreign and domestic car, a gasoline or diesel engine,
- 28:39Speaker 1: whatever it is, trucks, SUVs, they can take care of you.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You're still on the roads, or in football season or

- 28:59Speaker 1: fluid levels, check the belts and hoses before you get

- 29:20Speaker 21: You know, every time we do one of the CNJ
- 29:23Speaker 21: barbecue commercials, they tell us to come up with something clever,
- 29:25Speaker 21: but honestly, I never know what to say.
- 29:27Speaker 5: How about we're CNJ Barbecue. We make barbecue. It's good.
- 29:32Speaker 5: People like it. That's why we've been here smoking meats

- 29:36Speaker 21: Well, I guess that sums it up. So if you're hungry,
- 29:39Speaker 21: come see us.
- 29:40Speaker 5: If you need more convincing, well maybe you just don't
- 29:43Speaker 5: like happiness.
- 29:43Speaker 21: Either way, we'll be here smoking meat like we always do,
- 29:46Speaker 21: serving up happiness on a tray.
- 29:48Speaker 5: CNJ Barbecue. Let's see.

- 31:07Speaker 1: I got a book coming out by an author who
- 31:09Speaker 1: was Michael Jackson's producer, slash manager, slash friend. I haven't
- 31:20Speaker 1: finished the book quite yet, but we'll have that author
- 31:24Speaker 1: on next week coming up. Speaking of authors, David Fleming's
- 31:34Speaker 1: going to join us. This book is called a Big
- 31:36Speaker 1: Mess in Texas. I've bet most of you to know
- 31:40Speaker 1: that Dallas had an NFL, not an AFL Texans team,
- 31:45Speaker 1: NFL Texans team long before the AFL Texans arrived to
- 31:51Speaker 1: compete with the Cowboys in the Cotton Bowl. We'll get
- 31:55Speaker 1: to that story right now. We're going to hear from
- 31:59Speaker 1: Vanderbilt football coach Clark Lee.
- 32:04Speaker 6: Excited for the week. Good to be back at it.
- 32:06Speaker 6: I thought we had an energetic bye week and a
- 32:10Speaker 6: team that is excited for the challenge ahead on Saturday.
- 32:14Speaker 6: It's good to be back home, and you know, this
- 32:19Speaker 6: is a great SEC matchup and a great opportunity for
- 32:22Speaker 6: us to to you know, compete and play in front
- 32:27Speaker 6: of our home crowd. So we're looking forward to that. Obviously,
- 32:30Speaker 6: the challenge is real. LSU is a really good team.
- 32:33Speaker 6: They're well coached, they've got good players, good schemes, good systems,
- 32:37Speaker 6: and so you know we'll have our hands full that way.
- 32:40Speaker 6: But we're hard at work on how to best attack
- 32:46Speaker 6: them and understand what they do well and what their
- 32:48Speaker 6: weaknesses are and put our best effort on the field
- 32:51Speaker 6: on Saturday. So a couple of injury updates. Drew Dickey
- 32:56Speaker 6: is dealing with some cardiac issues and so he is
- 33:01Speaker 6: going to be out for the foreseeable future. We're focused
- 33:07Speaker 6: on getting him healthy and feeling good. Obviously that's a priority.
- 33:11Speaker 6: And then Van Hinton is going to be having surgery
- 33:14Speaker 6: on his acl This came out of the bye week,
- 33:17Speaker 6: so to guys that will probably be out for the season.
- 33:22Speaker 6: Van Zel for sure with surgery upcoming, Drew in all
- 33:27Speaker 6: like that, just because we're going to make sure he's
- 33:30Speaker 6: you know, healthy, and obviously when you're talking about cardiac issues,
- 33:34Speaker 6: you're talking about severe, severe, severe issues, So we're going
- 33:40Speaker 6: to take care of him that way. And otherwise we
- 33:42Speaker 6: got some bumps and bruises, but on the whole, I
- 33:46Speaker 6: think a healthy and excited team.
- 33:49Speaker 23: Chris, after you've had a couple of weeks off, to
- 33:52Speaker 23: go back and watch the Alabama film and maybe self
- 33:55Speaker 23: scout or whatever the term would be, how often it
- 34:00Speaker 23: are you that you guys.
- 34:01Speaker 11: Can perform more like you did before.
- 34:04Speaker 23: Than maybe the second half on offense there.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Well, I'm confident we can. That's not to say it's
- 34:12Speaker 6: ever going to be easy, you know, so I don't.
- 34:16Speaker 6: I have all the confidence in the world and our
- 34:18Speaker 6: team and you know, any season, any game, you're going
- 34:22Speaker 6: to battle through adversity, and that's what that game was
- 34:24Speaker 6: for us, just adversity. And we had opportunities in that game,
- 34:29Speaker 6: and we didn't capitalize on those opportunities. Obviously, two red
- 34:32Speaker 6: zone turnovers hurt. I thought defensively, you know, we probably
- 34:36Speaker 6: absorbed a little more time of possession.
- 34:38Speaker 5: We would have liked.
- 34:39Speaker 6: But I thought we battled to hold field goals in
- 34:42Speaker 6: the second half to give ourselves a chance. The second
- 34:45Speaker 6: turnover was on a drive that I was certain we
- 34:49Speaker 6: were going to go score touch and I'll take the
- 34:50Speaker 6: lead in the game in the fourth quarter, you know.
- 34:52Speaker 6: So I think with any result, whether a win or
- 34:57Speaker 6: a loss, you've got to learn from it, and then
- 34:59Speaker 6: you got to move on on from it because the
- 35:01Speaker 6: longer you hang on to it, the the longer it
- 35:05Speaker 6: impacts your process. So we've done that, and and again
- 35:09Speaker 6: our formula isn't too different than what it was a
- 35:12Speaker 6: year ago. It's you know, game control, offense, point limptation, defense,
- 35:16Speaker 6: fuel positioned through special teams, eliminating the self imposed negatives,
- 35:22Speaker 6: fighting for the ball on both sides of the line
- 35:24Speaker 6: of scrimmage. And when we do those things, you know,
- 35:29Speaker 6: we're a pretty good team. When we don't we leave
- 35:31Speaker 6: it to chance, and when you play against good opponents
- 35:34Speaker 6: like we're going to face Saturday against LSU, you know,
- 35:37Speaker 6: you know you're you're you're kind of fighting uphill battle
- 35:40Speaker 6: at that point. So all the confidence, a lot of
- 35:43Speaker 6: learning from that game, and we've we've taken it, We've
- 35:47Speaker 6: moved on from the result, and now our energy is
- 35:49Speaker 6: focused on l s U.
- 35:51Speaker 24: Cedric Alexander talked about how you know the team is
- 35:54Speaker 24: even hungrier than before after the Albama loss. So from
- 35:57Speaker 24: your view, what have you seen in terms of how
- 36:00Speaker 24: the team has gotten more determined and more hungrier since then.
- 36:07Speaker 6: I mean, I've been pleased with how we've responded. I
- 36:10Speaker 6: think we we came out and had a spirited bye week,
- 36:13Speaker 6: had fun last week with the guys out on the field.
- 36:16Speaker 6: I thought we got meaningful work in and then we
- 36:20Speaker 6: were able to, you know, get going on Sunday, and again,
- 36:23Speaker 6: I really liked where the team was on Sunday. I
- 36:26Speaker 6: think I think these guys are in the right headspace.
- 36:30Speaker 6: You know, I understand what what said he's saying. I
- 36:34Speaker 6: don't necessarily see it as hungrier. I think we're we're
- 36:37Speaker 6: pretty mission focused here. You know, we feel the sting
- 36:40Speaker 6: of the disappointment of a missed result, and we want
- 36:43Speaker 6: to we want to get back on the right side
- 36:45Speaker 6: of that. And I think what he's what he's pointing
- 36:47Speaker 6: out is, you know it hurts, but you know, we
- 36:50Speaker 6: believe in what we're doing, and these guys have bounced back,
- 36:54Speaker 6: and you know, I think it is at an opportunity
- 36:56Speaker 6: maybe just to in support of what he's saying, I
- 36:59Speaker 6: think it's always an opportunity to re examine process and
- 37:03Speaker 6: to think, hey, what are the things that we did
- 37:05Speaker 6: really well in training camp? It did really well during
- 37:07Speaker 6: the season. Maybe we've we've lost a little bit, you know,
- 37:10Speaker 6: how do we how do we heighten focus in those
- 37:12Speaker 6: areas to clean up our play? And so the team's
- 37:16Speaker 6: done that and I've been pleased so far with the
- 37:19Speaker 6: week of work, which in our league, you know, you
- 37:22Speaker 6: better prepare the right way because Saturday is going to
- 37:24Speaker 6: be a challenge.
- 37:25Speaker 19: Are you LSU is one of not the best defense
- 37:30Speaker 19: that you will face this year?
- 37:32Speaker 20: What's the key to being able to move the ball against?
- 37:35Speaker 4: You know, a defense that is as.
- 37:36Speaker 13: Successful says has meant.
- 37:38Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the strength of their team, you know, I mean,
- 37:41Speaker 6: they've got talent everywhere, but I mean their their defense
- 37:46Speaker 6: is elite, and you know we have to The way
- 37:51Speaker 6: we have success is is not worrying too much about them.
- 37:57Speaker 6: It's our process, our system, execution of what we do
- 38:02Speaker 6: because we believe in our offense and so we I
- 38:05Speaker 6: think we have things you know, inherent in our system,
- 38:10Speaker 6: in our process that will challenge them too. It's going
- 38:14Speaker 6: to be about how we execute, how we create and
- 38:16Speaker 6: find the space that that's there. They close the space
- 38:20Speaker 6: really rapidly.
- 38:21Speaker 25: You know.
- 38:21Speaker 6: It's you know, how do we create space in the
- 38:23Speaker 6: pocket for diego, How do we commit to that run
- 38:26Speaker 6: game that you know we need to more out of
- 38:28Speaker 6: in the second half against Alabama? And how do we
- 38:32Speaker 6: also have the patients because they're going to get us
- 38:34Speaker 6: all schedule at times. I mean, a defense like this
- 38:37Speaker 6: is so disruptive. You know, there are gonna be times
- 38:41Speaker 6: we're gonna look up in its second and twelve, you know,
- 38:42Speaker 6: because of a TfL. I mean, we just it's about
- 38:45Speaker 6: just staying patient and and trust in and who we
- 38:48Speaker 6: are and what we do. And I mean I believe
- 38:52Speaker 6: in our guys and if we go out and execute,
- 38:54Speaker 6: you know what, we'll find the plays we need to
- 38:55Speaker 6: we need to find a wink.
- 38:58Speaker 23: I know the numbers haven't always bard of it, but
- 39:00Speaker 23: their offense has got a lot of talent, the quarterback.
- 39:03Speaker 3: The receiving, the tight end rooms.
- 39:04Speaker 23: What do you think of the biggest challenges about defending
- 39:07Speaker 23: them well?
- 39:10Speaker 6: And the quarterback's really good and I thought he played
- 39:14Speaker 6: really well against this year ago. One of the things
- 39:17Speaker 6: about him too is you know, I mean we have
- 39:20Speaker 6: him at twenty miles an hour on the GPS. I
- 39:22Speaker 6: mean he's athletic. I mean, if you have open lanes
- 39:28Speaker 6: in your pass rush, he's gonna he's gonna find ways
- 39:30Speaker 6: through and can hurt you running too. But obviously his
- 39:35Speaker 6: his skill set is getting the ball out quickly. I
- 39:37Speaker 6: think he avoids sacks as good as anyone in the
- 39:39Speaker 6: country because he knows where to go with the ball.
- 39:42Speaker 6: He's throwing it to really talented people. And so when
- 39:45Speaker 6: you talk about their tight end room and what they've
- 39:47Speaker 6: set it on that way, when we talk about the
- 39:51Speaker 6: receiver room and the speed and the talent on the field, again,
- 39:55Speaker 6: you have to play disciplined in your structure and in
- 40:00Speaker 6: so many ways be willing to absorb yards and fight
- 40:04Speaker 6: against points. So you know, what I've you know, starting
- 40:11Speaker 6: this morning talking to the team about is just do
- 40:12Speaker 6: we have the patients? You know, do we have the
- 40:14Speaker 6: patients to fight for every bladergrass? Do we have the
- 40:18Speaker 6: patients to execute as the field space titans in the
- 40:20Speaker 6: red zone And a lot of what we've done to
- 40:25Speaker 6: this point in the season says that we do. But
- 40:28Speaker 6: you know, executing and playing within our structure. You know,
- 40:32Speaker 6: look South Carolina misfits a run and it rips for
- 40:35Speaker 6: you know, fifty plus yards. That that's a reality. So
- 40:39Speaker 6: all these guys they have are dangerous. They're all talented people.
- 40:43Speaker 6: It's about how we limit them based off our structure,
- 40:46Speaker 6: playing together, playing team defense, and then can we be
- 40:50Speaker 6: opportunistic on their downs. If you look back at the
- 40:52Speaker 6: Alabama game, you'd say that's where we want to improve performance.
- 40:56Speaker 6: Getting off the field, we have to create possession time
- 40:59Speaker 6: for our offense. This is going to be two methodical
- 41:03Speaker 6: offenses and so possessions are going to be hard to
- 41:05Speaker 6: come by. We need to fight for those possessions with
- 41:07Speaker 6: our defense, getting the ball back to our offense so
- 41:09Speaker 6: that we can get in rhythm and hopefully I have
- 41:12Speaker 6: success that way.
- 41:13Speaker 1: That's collectly at Vanderbilt. One of them. He's done a
- 41:16Speaker 1: terrific job. They're five and one favored against the fighting
- 41:22Speaker 1: Brian Kelly's on Saturday morning. Normally we'd have a high
- 41:27Speaker 1: school report right here. We tried. Matt had an interview
- 41:33Speaker 1: lined up and maybe if you know folks in Madisonville,
- 41:39Speaker 1: tell them that we were trying to give their volleyball
- 41:41Speaker 1: program a little publicity. But I'm sure they don't need it.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I'm sure that people from everywhere cover them. So we
- 41:49Speaker 1: weren't able to make that happen, but we'll try again
- 41:53Speaker 1: on Thursday. Our high school report is brought to you

- 44:23Speaker 28: As the Houston Texans get back into the swing of
- 44:25Speaker 28: a regular game week after the bye week, operationally, the
- 44:28Speaker 28: organization must continue to evaluate where the team currently is
- 44:31Speaker 28: and how they can improve. At two and three, the
- 44:34Speaker 28: Texans are not necessarily off to the start they'd envisioned,
- 44:37Speaker 28: but having won two games in a row, there is
- 44:38Speaker 28: a lot of positive Momentum Executive vice president and general
- 44:42Speaker 28: manager Nick Cassario in this past week's episode of All
- 44:45Speaker 28: Access discuss the Texans process for potentially bringing in players
- 44:49Speaker 28: during the season what that might look like.
- 44:51Speaker 29: Our approach and focus maybe a little bit different than
- 44:53Speaker 29: some other teams were not like a high volume just
- 44:56Speaker 29: bringing a number of players just to work them out.
- 44:58Speaker 29: We try to have a very specific reason. But to
- 45:01Speaker 29: your point, Mark, these players are all over the country.
- 45:03Speaker 29: They're not all in Houston.
- 45:04Speaker 28: One position of potential need for the Texans could be
- 45:07Speaker 28: at the running back position if Joe Mixon's injury prolongs
- 45:10Speaker 28: into a season ending ordeal. Woody Marks and Nick Chubb
- 45:13Speaker 28: have been holding it down in the running back room,
- 45:15Speaker 28: but a little depth may be something to keep an
- 45:17Speaker 28: eye out for with the Houston Texans report.
- 45:20Speaker 5: I'm Jake Grietma.

- 47:10Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us on this Tuesday addition. Mallory's here
- 47:14Speaker 1: in the second hour along with author David Fleming. But
- 47:19Speaker 1: right now we're gonna hear from the running back of
- 47:22Speaker 1: the hour. Rubert Owens will be getting more carries now
- 47:25Speaker 1: with the injury to Levy On Moss Ruben.
- 47:29Speaker 32: Are you more of a volume back like you get
- 47:30Speaker 32: going I look at the Mississippi State game. You got
- 47:33Speaker 32: to go on because you had a lot of carries,
- 47:34Speaker 32: or you're more a volume back, or it's just whatever
- 47:38Speaker 32: I say.
- 47:40Speaker 33: I say, I'm just type big that whatever I'm feeling
- 47:43Speaker 33: or wherever I feel like the best play or whatever
- 47:47Speaker 33: I could break. But I say, has a game go along?
- 47:50Speaker 3: I get better?
- 47:51Speaker 34: Why is this team better off this year than a
- 47:53Speaker 34: year ago to a stance with the injuries, It's it
- 47:55Speaker 34: seems like a lot of complimentary.
- 47:57Speaker 33: Football because we got I say, we got more dipping
- 48:00Speaker 33: the player.
- 48:01Speaker 3: The players that's behind the players are.
- 48:02Speaker 33: Good too, So it don't matter who's in the game,
- 48:05Speaker 33: we all be ready.
- 48:07Speaker 34: With lebon out for an extended period of time.
- 48:10Speaker 35: Just what what's kind of your approach this week and
- 48:11Speaker 35: how much does it maybe help that you've had some
- 48:14Speaker 35: extended run these last two games, in particular, knowing that
- 48:16Speaker 35: you might get a get a bulk of curious these
- 48:19Speaker 35: xt few weeks.
- 48:20Speaker 33: Uh, yeah, it sucks that Levi on his eye. You know,
- 48:22Speaker 33: it's one of the premiere backs on I on our team.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Well you know, Uh, it's.
- 48:27Speaker 33: Like coach true put You's always be prepared next gout up.
- 48:30Speaker 33: So and it should be no fall off. It should
- 48:32Speaker 33: be you know, yeah love got heart, but it should
- 48:34Speaker 33: be no fa no drop off. It should be the
- 48:36Speaker 33: same thing that the ring game has been.
- 48:37Speaker 13: But your approach change any going from being the first
- 48:41Speaker 13: guy off the bench to the guy who's gonna start
- 48:44Speaker 13: getting old, you know, not all the russ but a.
- 48:46Speaker 34: Pretty good port.
- 48:48Speaker 33: Uh no, sir, I I prepare the tame every week.
- 48:50Speaker 19: You know.
- 48:51Speaker 33: If I'm a second guy coming off for it from
- 48:53Speaker 33: the first guy coming up, I prepared the same, So
- 48:55Speaker 33: it's so it's gonna still it's gonna be the same outcome.
- 48:57Speaker 25: What does it mean to you to hear Coach Oko
- 49:00Speaker 25: yesterday it described you guys, the next man up, the
- 49:02Speaker 25: guy is gonna be sure most of the love.
- 49:05Speaker 34: Uh that's great to hear.
- 49:06Speaker 33: But you know, we got we got other bats too
- 49:08Speaker 33: on in our things, so it's not just gonna be me.
- 49:10Speaker 33: It's gonna be all of us and we go just
- 49:12Speaker 33: put out a show and show y'all that we can
- 49:14Speaker 33: run the ball good.
- 49:15Speaker 34: Knowing you've got your own injury issues.
- 49:17Speaker 25: What are the conversations that like between uh you and
- 49:20Speaker 25: Levey on over the last couple of days.
- 49:22Speaker 33: Uh, I just pray for him, toeld 'em.
- 49:24Speaker 3: It's gonna be alright.
- 49:25Speaker 33: You know football, it comes with injuries, but you canna
- 49:28Speaker 33: uh overcome 'em. And then I just saw them stay
- 49:31Speaker 33: around the team, you know, be around the team. Cause
- 49:33Speaker 33: when I when I was hurt, of being around the
- 49:34Speaker 33: team that helped me get through it.
- 49:35Speaker 3: So yeah, that's all I told him.
- 49:37Speaker 34: Uh we're talking about, uh that you found your group?
- 49:40Speaker 34: What what does that look like for you? When when
- 49:42Speaker 34: you're in rhythm what's the what's the group?
- 49:43Speaker 3: It don only look like in his group?
- 49:45Speaker 33: Uh real dangerous, Uh speed more uh fluent, knowing what's
- 49:51Speaker 33: going on then just popping.
- 49:53Speaker 34: You know, does this.
- 49:54Speaker 4: Team again, with the three road games coming up, does
- 49:57Speaker 4: this team feel like a team that kind of feeds
- 49:59Speaker 4: off the the the neig of energy that that a
- 50:01Speaker 4: on away stadium kind of provides.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Uh, three or three away games?
- 50:05Speaker 33: Yeah, but no, W I feel like we prepare the
- 50:07Speaker 33: way coach co Elka prepares us for away games, the music,
- 50:11Speaker 33: just it being out out there. He prepares us real
- 50:13Speaker 33: good throughout the week, so we could be ready for
- 50:14Speaker 33: the wa these away games.
- 50:16Speaker 34: There's a good chance of rain this weekend.
- 50:18Speaker 35: If you guys talked about that and per playing on
- 50:20Speaker 35: preparing for that in any way.
- 50:21Speaker 33: Or y uh no we uh we haven't talked about
- 50:24Speaker 33: that or prefer for any I don't even know it's
- 50:26Speaker 33: gonna be a rain. So, you know, rain rain, It
- 50:29Speaker 33: really don't stop nothing.
- 50:30Speaker 27: So how enjoyable is it for a running back with
- 50:32Speaker 27: you guys with four minutes left in the game, going.
- 50:35Speaker 32: To the four minute offense and run twenty one of
- 50:37Speaker 32: the next twenty two times.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Uh, it's great.
- 50:39Speaker 33: You know uh, knowing that coach trusts us to put
- 50:41Speaker 33: the ball in our hands in that time to close
- 50:43Speaker 33: out the game.
- 50:44Speaker 3: It's great.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Is there a method of picking out what color uh
- 50:48Speaker 4: uh shoe glove scheme that did Dollar gonna wear that? That?
- 50:51Speaker 5: Oh?
- 50:51Speaker 33: Nah, it just it be random really, So whatever glove whatever,
- 50:55Speaker 33: atleast I just feel like wearing that game. I just
- 50:57Speaker 33: pop 'em out the same thing with all the other
- 50:59Speaker 33: backs from what improvements.
- 51:01Speaker 15: That he made a game that's kind of put you
- 51:03Speaker 15: in this position where you can step in and and
- 51:06Speaker 15: be the guy that they want you to be.
- 51:08Speaker 33: Uh, I say, my pass pro and my uh knowing
- 51:11Speaker 33: the blocking schemes my freshman year.
- 51:13Speaker 3: I'm be honest, I.
- 51:14Speaker 33: I I was just running, you know, I I was
- 51:16Speaker 33: just doing some high school hairy stuff. But me now
- 51:19Speaker 33: knowing the black and skiing, knowings what's going on with
- 51:21Speaker 33: O line, knowing how many safeties is it, knowing who
- 51:23Speaker 33: dropping down?
- 51:24Speaker 3: It just it proved me. It proved a lot.
- 51:26Speaker 34: Jamaarrian's got a little bit more run these last few games.
- 51:29Speaker 35: Huh, what what do he continue to see from him
- 51:31Speaker 35: and just what he's been able to bring on the table?
- 51:33Speaker 33: Man Jamia that kid that he s real shifty and
- 51:36Speaker 33: like m my freshman year coming in, I was just running.
- 51:38Speaker 33: He coach troop came and he he picked it up
- 51:42Speaker 33: real fast, picked up the black and skates, whip so
- 51:44Speaker 33: everything and he got he can care, che can run routes,
- 51:46Speaker 33: He could do everything. So him just having him too
- 51:49Speaker 33: is just I I feel like we got a.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Real explosive backfield.
- 51:52Speaker 34: What's the way he playing behind the softas the wat.
- 51:54Speaker 33: It's great, you know, I'm so glad they all came back,
- 51:57Speaker 33: you know, Uh, being playing behind it behind them, guys,
- 52:00Speaker 33: it just makes it a job way easier.
- 52:03Speaker 4: You played, uh this game after talking in on at and
- 52:05Speaker 4: T Stadium before. Now it's going back to the campuses.
- 52:08Speaker 4: Is there one that you prefer over the other?
- 52:10Speaker 13: Uh?
- 52:11Speaker 33: Preferably I like to play it in Dallas. You know,
- 52:13Speaker 33: more family can come out to that game. It'll be
- 52:15Speaker 33: more people from Texas world from at that game. But
- 52:18Speaker 33: it don't matter where we go, you know, still go
- 52:21Speaker 33: get the job done.
- 52:22Speaker 9: Uh.
- 52:22Speaker 34: Moxton's known like a physical running back.
- 52:23Speaker 1: But of course that you guys, just styles are a
- 52:25Speaker 1: lot more so that people give credit for.
- 52:27Speaker 34: How do how do you like in those like short
- 52:28Speaker 34: yarded situations. You you like being a tough runner in.
- 52:31Speaker 33: Between the tackles that, yeah, you you gotta have that
- 52:33Speaker 33: also in your bed. You can't just be a running
- 52:35Speaker 33: back that can just run zone. I mean run outside zone,
- 52:39Speaker 33: catch the ball and do it. You gotta be able
- 52:40Speaker 33: to run between the typeles too and get the first
- 52:41Speaker 33: down when your team needs it.
- 52:43Speaker 4: Your freshman year was when put Patrina was here with
- 52:45Speaker 4: the general.
- 52:46Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 52:46Speaker 4: Wait, what do you.
- 52:46Speaker 34: Remember about that offense?
- 52:47Speaker 4: And do you think that there are any tips or
- 52:50Speaker 4: things you can you can key off of in this game? Uh?
- 52:52Speaker 33: That offense, it was There's really nothing that I can
- 52:57Speaker 33: to be honest, I don't really remember that offense. You know,
- 53:00Speaker 33: when coach Ilgodm came, I wiped all that. I got
- 53:03Speaker 33: rid of all those no, because I ain't needed no more.
- 53:04Speaker 33: So we don't know nothing about the offense.
- 53:07Speaker 24: Really, what do you.
- 53:08Speaker 35: Remember about coach Patrino and just the guy that he
- 53:11Speaker 35: was playing in underdam.
- 53:12Speaker 33: Oh coach Trino, you great coach, you know, great, great
- 53:15Speaker 33: offensive game. He's trying to put points on the board.
- 53:18Speaker 33: That's one thing I can't say he's trying to I
- 53:20Speaker 33: know for sure he's trying to go deep. That's what
- 53:22Speaker 33: he likes to do. So that's really just that's really
- 53:24Speaker 33: I can a canell. I can tell my defense that
- 53:26Speaker 33: he wants to go deep. He likes to go fast too,
- 53:29Speaker 33: So yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 1: A little inside info from the ruben Owens. He likes
