- 1:47Speaker 1: Hey, everyone is your girl Patrece Grumble muss Essie booked
- 1:51Speaker 1: out eight four three, and it is another Tuesday night.
- 1:56Speaker 1: How have you guys been? Yeah, but guess what, We're
- 2:04Speaker 1: blessed and we're here. So I know there's some crazy
- 2:08Speaker 1: stuff going on in the world, but guess what, We're
- 2:11Speaker 1: blessed and we're here. Okay, you guys. So, but this
- 2:16Speaker 1: next author, her book is going to help us get
- 2:19Speaker 1: through some of this stuff that we have going on
- 2:21Speaker 1: in this world. Okay, So you guys know, of course
- 2:25Speaker 1: that this is Woman's History Month, and every author that
- 2:29Speaker 1: I have had this month has been a woman, and
- 2:32Speaker 1: she's creating her own path of history. So of course,
- 2:36Speaker 1: you know, we had to go out, and we had
- 2:38Speaker 1: to go out right. And tonight's author has a book
- 2:44Speaker 1: that is called wull Power, The Call to Rise Above.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That is what we all are trying to do now.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And this book has perfect timing. That's she for me
- 3:01Speaker 1: and the things that has been going on to rise
- 3:05Speaker 1: above it, not attack it because I have a tendency
- 3:10Speaker 1: to attack it. I've just been on this thing like
- 3:13Speaker 1: I'm just gonnattack it. But this book, you guys, this
- 3:19Speaker 1: is when you need to go ahead and put on
- 3:20Speaker 1: your shelf. Keep it there. Go ahead and get your
- 3:24Speaker 1: little posting notes, your sticky notes, the little colorful tabs
- 3:28Speaker 1: so you can make notations so you could reference this later. Ron. Okay, now,
- 3:34Speaker 1: since we know the title is Willpower but call to
- 3:37Speaker 1: Rise Above, let's bring up the author. Now, this author
- 3:42Speaker 1: is a part of the one hundred authors to watch
- 3:45Speaker 1: what aspiring Author's magazine she is. She gotta play coming
- 3:52Speaker 1: out with y'all. So if y'all live in South Carolina, Ridgeville, Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley,
- 3:57Speaker 1: she gotta play coming Out in Easter, we're gonna talk
- 4:00Speaker 1: a little bit about that. But I am going to
- 4:02Speaker 1: bring up author Patricia Wade Goings.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Come on up, good evening. God bless you with an
- 4:12Speaker 2: awesome opportunity. And i'd like to thank you again for
- 4:16Speaker 2: allowing me to be a part of this podcast this evening.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Thank you for coming in Greece and us with your
- 4:24Speaker 2: presence in this book.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Y'all tell you we slow down, trees man, how can
- 4:30Speaker 1: get to the book? Yet we got to learn a
- 4:33Speaker 1: little bit about the author. So missus Goins, can you
- 4:37Speaker 1: tell us a little bit about yourself?
- 4:40Speaker 2: I surely can. I am evangelist Patricia wide goings. I
- 4:45Speaker 2: am also a health and wellness life coach.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I'm a prayer warrior.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I just love praying, and as you know, I am
- 4:54Speaker 2: a playwriter and producer at this point, I am a
- 4:57Speaker 2: mother of two, mother of two, and I just you know,
- 5:03Speaker 2: I just I'm a lover.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Of the Lord.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I just love the Lord, and I have a passion
- 5:08Speaker 2: for encouraging and for writing.
- 5:11Speaker 3: And my writing is to inspire others.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And that's who I am, wow, to inspire others. And
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know we need so so much of that. And
- 5:25Speaker 1: you've given me that grandma prayers vibe, that grandma that
- 5:31Speaker 1: gets up at full five o'clock in the morning vibe.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Is that you that's me? Yes.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Actually, I'm a part of several prayer ministries five o'clock,
- 5:44Speaker 2: six o'clock, and eleven o'clock and sometimes two and three
- 5:47Speaker 2: times a day on other prayer ministries.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I also hosted the Midnight Prayer Cry on every third Friday.
- 5:56Speaker 2: So I kind of stepped aside now and I'm a
- 5:58Speaker 2: prayer warrior and many other prayer watches right now.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Oh, I'm in my grandma now, Yes, my grandma. They
- 6:07Speaker 1: used to have Midnight prayer, and that would be on
- 6:11Speaker 1: a Friday night, and then these a noonday prayer and
- 6:16Speaker 1: we would live like the church was here, and we
- 6:19Speaker 1: would walk right there to the corner. I remember that
- 6:22Speaker 1: so much, and I remember those days falling asleep and
- 6:26Speaker 1: all I would hear my wake up and hear my
- 6:28Speaker 1: grandma say, teach jeeze, and I was like, oh, okay,
- 6:32Speaker 1: get up, cheese, get up. But I was born and
- 6:35Speaker 1: raised in that environment. In so many days, I am
- 6:40Speaker 1: so grateful for it, so gratefull.
- 6:43Speaker 2: You know, as a prayer warrior, when you're interceding for uthers,
- 6:48Speaker 2: it has so much meaning for yourself as well, at
- 6:51Speaker 2: least for me, because as I'm interceding for you, I'm
- 6:55Speaker 2: interceeding for myself as well. Because the one you have
- 7:00Speaker 2: to do is have belief in yourself. So I can't
- 7:03Speaker 2: pray for you if I'm not believing in me. That
- 7:06Speaker 2: God has given me that power and that wisdom to
- 7:10Speaker 2: help bring you through. And that is ultimately my goal
- 7:13Speaker 2: to help others to believe in themselves, believe in.
- 7:17Speaker 3: The power and be able to help.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Know, we got to encourage each other. We got to get.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Away from this self, me, me, me, because you know,
- 7:27Speaker 2: not to get away from it, but I get excited.
- 7:31Speaker 2: When Jesus walked this earth, he wasn't all about himself.
- 7:36Speaker 2: He was for everybody, every boy, girl, woman, man and child.
- 7:41Speaker 2: He was for everybody. So what is our problem now?
- 7:44Speaker 2: Why are we so into self when we've been created?
- 7:47Speaker 2: What in the image of Jesus Christ? Come on, now,
- 7:50Speaker 2: we got to get out of this self pity party.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Let us pull together and unite as one as God
- 7:57Speaker 2: has called us to do.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I apologize, no.
- 8:01Speaker 1: No, no, no, keep on, because you are so right.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's for some reason I don't even know how to transition.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Happened to me me me me, me, me, me me me.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I hate that because it's never just you any way,
- 8:20Speaker 1: or anything you do in this life, it's going to
- 8:23Speaker 1: affect someone somehow.
- 8:29Speaker 2: We have to pray with each other, pray for one another.
- 8:33Speaker 2: But see, when we come together, things happen. You know,
- 8:38Speaker 2: and I'm not saying that it won't happen when you're
- 8:40Speaker 2: praying by yourself. But look at that power that you
- 8:43Speaker 2: have when you're unified together and you're on as you
- 8:46Speaker 2: hear it all the time. One accord with what one accord.
- 8:51Speaker 2: He didn't say with twenty five accords, with just that
- 8:55Speaker 2: one accord. So when we unite together and we're praying, believing,
- 8:59Speaker 2: in trusting and knowing, like the woman with the issue,
- 9:03Speaker 2: you know, we get out there and we just step on.
- 9:07Speaker 2: She had that issue for twelve years. But that's not
- 9:11Speaker 2: what it was really all about. It was her faith.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It was a walk Samaritan woman. What was it? It
- 9:17Speaker 2: was a walk on faith. I can't what's wrong with
- 9:20Speaker 2: us now? What happened? Where is our faith?
- 9:25Speaker 3: So?
- 9:25Speaker 2: You know, I'm just saying, as a servant of the
- 9:29Speaker 2: Most High, let us come together. You know, we're saying
- 9:32Speaker 2: it right here. Let's live it, let's make it happen.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So if it, you know, if we can just touch
- 9:37Speaker 2: that one person, that one can go out and touch
- 9:40Speaker 2: somebody else. So what is the problem now? We can't
- 9:44Speaker 2: be like this all about self because it's not about
- 9:48Speaker 2: you and it's not about me.
- 9:50Speaker 3: It's about the kingdom.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Okay, y'all see she bout the start, she she bought
- 9:56Speaker 1: the start up. Look at her about the start. But
- 9:59Speaker 1: lady said, and two or three together, you got me
- 10:05Speaker 1: and you then we got the LITLEUS signers out there.
- 10:09Speaker 1: That's okay, he is here and He is in the
- 10:14Speaker 1: midst So why we sitting up here trying to figure out?
- 10:17Speaker 1: Why are we trying to do it on our own? Me? Me, me,
- 10:19Speaker 1: me me. Y'all heard what she said, you got okay?
- 10:26Speaker 4: So I really needed that because lately I've been feeling
- 10:32Speaker 4: like I'm in body is by myself, especially the situations
- 10:35Speaker 4: that are going on.
- 10:37Speaker 1: And I won't say what realm, but I will say, man, listen,
- 10:43Speaker 1: I needed it because I remember last night asking God,
- 10:47Speaker 1: am I in this by myself? So thank you for
- 10:54Speaker 1: giving me that word that I am not?
- 10:59Speaker 3: Well.
- 10:59Speaker 2: We thank God for the inspiration, you know, because we're
- 11:03Speaker 2: here to inspire one another. We're here to list up
- 11:06Speaker 2: the name of Jesus as always, but we are that
- 11:09Speaker 2: is our purpose, you know. In my ministry, that's one
- 11:12Speaker 2: of the things that I do. Have a ministry praise
- 11:15Speaker 2: with purpose. The stage production, as you mentioned earlier, it's
- 11:20Speaker 2: when praise becomes my purpose. But the monologue ministry is
- 11:25Speaker 2: praise with the purpose. We have a virtual upcoming conference
- 11:30Speaker 2: Praise with purpose. What is your purpose? You know, It's
- 11:35Speaker 2: all about what God has given us who he is,
- 11:39Speaker 2: and He's given us all gifts.
- 11:41Speaker 3: So let's begin.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I mean, if you haven't done it, let's start. You
- 11:45Speaker 2: never were too old, It's never too late. Let us
- 11:48Speaker 2: come together and worship because if we don't do this
- 11:53Speaker 2: now you know, and I'm sorry, I'm off track us
- 12:00Speaker 2: in the Old Testament, you know, everybody's all Trump this,
- 12:02Speaker 2: Trump that, Okay, whoop to do? But the Bible told
- 12:06Speaker 2: us way back when, if my people, which are called
- 12:11Speaker 2: by my name, if they would do what hold themselves
- 12:16Speaker 2: and do what great and seek. But you know, now,
- 12:20Speaker 2: all of a sudden Trump became the president, and now
- 12:24Speaker 2: all these people run in pray and pray and praying. Okay,
- 12:26Speaker 2: keep praying. I'm not going to tell you not to stop,
- 12:28Speaker 2: because we do need to pray. But it was written
- 12:31Speaker 2: way back when, so between way back when and now
- 12:37Speaker 2: we can't stop praying.
- 12:39Speaker 3: We have to increase our prayer.
- 12:41Speaker 2: But we got to come together because together we must stand.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Now is the time. If we never do it any
- 12:50Speaker 2: other time, now is the time. I'm also launching one
- 12:54Speaker 2: hundred evangelists on the move globally. What is that prayer
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'm calling out right now on.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Your show if you allow me to call me this show,
- 13:08Speaker 3: it's one hundred evangelists globally.
- 13:11Speaker 2: We want to take prayer all over the world, as
- 13:15Speaker 2: I broadcasted in Asia, even in Africa and in China.
- 13:19Speaker 2: We want to do this thing globally because the world
- 13:23Speaker 2: what it needs us, It needs prayer and we need
- 13:25Speaker 2: it now.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Okay, y'all heard her, she put out the call. I
- 13:30Speaker 1: will have all her links so y'all can answer the call.
- 13:35Speaker 1: The call has been made. Okay, you guys, so blue power,
- 13:43Speaker 1: the call to rise above. First of all this cover.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I'm a cover girl, simple but powerful. How did you
- 13:58Speaker 1: come up with the idea of this eagle storm through
- 14:02Speaker 1: the crowd break for your book?
- 14:08Speaker 3: Well, you know the thing about an ego.
- 14:11Speaker 2: He is one of the birds that actually can fly
- 14:14Speaker 2: above the storm. He is made aware of the storm
- 14:19Speaker 2: before anybody else knows. So what he does when that
- 14:22Speaker 2: storm faces, he takes his wings and he spreads them
- 14:26Speaker 2: and he mounts up as the Bible tells us to
- 14:28Speaker 2: mount up with wings as eagle, because he uses those.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Wings for strength.
- 14:33Speaker 2: And I had gone through so many I would say circumstances.
- 14:37Speaker 2: There were many challenges. I had been disappointed, I had
- 14:41Speaker 2: been heard, I had been made a shame of people,
- 14:44Speaker 2: termed their backs on me that I was counting on.
- 14:47Speaker 2: And so through all my life turmoil, at that particular point,
- 14:51Speaker 2: I began, through the grace of God to find that strength.
- 14:56Speaker 2: And I didn't realize it at the time because all
- 14:58Speaker 2: I was seeing was the cloud. But there was something
- 15:01Speaker 2: lingering above that cloud, and the revelation came to me.
- 15:05Speaker 3: It was that eagle.
- 15:06Speaker 2: So I began to realize that I had strength too,
- 15:10Speaker 2: but I just had to reach up and use what
- 15:12Speaker 2: was given to me, and that was that strength, just
- 15:15Speaker 2: like the eagle, as he said, not out with wings
- 15:17Speaker 2: of eagles. And so we had to begin to fly
- 15:20Speaker 2: out of those circumstances. Because of humans, we get caught
- 15:25Speaker 2: up in the circumstances and situations, but we have to
- 15:28Speaker 2: be stoked there. We have to learn to get up
- 15:31Speaker 2: out it. And that goes back to what I said,
- 15:33Speaker 2: you have to believe in yourself, and at that time
- 15:35Speaker 2: that was a faith walk for me. I had to
- 15:38Speaker 2: believe that I was better than that circumstances.
- 15:43Speaker 1: All right. Now, So how did this look come about?
- 15:50Speaker 1: What means you want to write will power?
- 15:54Speaker 3: Well?
- 15:54Speaker 2: What made me really want to write it again goes
- 15:57Speaker 2: back to some really horrific circumstances that I had gone
- 16:02Speaker 2: through the loss of both parents, moving to an area
- 16:06Speaker 2: that I pretty much didn't want to be here because
- 16:10Speaker 2: I had no friends. I had moved away from the
- 16:12Speaker 2: only family that I knew, the only real friends that
- 16:16Speaker 2: I knew. So it was like starting all over, but
- 16:18Speaker 2: as an adult, you know. And I came here.
- 16:21Speaker 3: To South Carolina.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm from Philadelphia, and it was so so so different,
- 16:26Speaker 2: and I mean, the things that were happening to me.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I had it was a real struggle.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And so I remember one Sunday after coming home from
- 16:34Speaker 2: church service, I was so inspired. I was just so lifted.
- 16:40Speaker 2: My spirit was overjoyed, and I wanted to do something.
- 16:43Speaker 2: And when I went to school, I studied journalism and
- 16:46Speaker 2: I wanted to be this international journalist that just went
- 16:50Speaker 2: to different places and found out what their problems were
- 16:53Speaker 2: and how from the hood resolved them. And so this
- 16:55Speaker 2: day all of that came back to me and I
- 16:58Speaker 2: called a friend up and we were having a conversation.
- 17:00Speaker 2: She said, why don't you write it? And I was like, oh, yeah, right,
- 17:04Speaker 2: And I sat down and I tell you, honestly, I
- 17:07Speaker 2: couldn't stop writing. And so that's how Willpower became the
- 17:13Speaker 2: book that it is. That Rise Above was for me
- 17:17Speaker 2: because I had to get up out of where I was.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I couldn't stay in boulevard destruction.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I couldn't walk that wall because I was born to
- 17:27Speaker 2: be destructive.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I was born to be instructed. And so being instructed
- 17:38Speaker 3: meant that I had.
- 17:39Speaker 2: An assignment and I knew God had called me for
- 17:42Speaker 2: a purpose.
- 17:45Speaker 1: M do you feel as if you're talking about that
- 18:00Speaker 1: word purpose? That word purpose is, Oh, God, our chief
- 18:08Speaker 1: chief executive. That's what I'm a caller because that's exactly
- 18:11Speaker 1: what she is. Angela Thomas Smith always talking about purpose.
- 18:16Speaker 1: What does purpose mean to you?
- 18:20Speaker 2: Well, purpose means a couple of things to me. First
- 18:23Speaker 2: of all, purpose is your reason for living. Purpose is
- 18:28Speaker 2: who you are. Purpose is your understanding. Purpose is your assignment.
- 18:34Speaker 3: You know. One of the things that I shared in
- 18:36Speaker 3: that will Power is the word through. I did host
- 18:41Speaker 3: to show.
- 18:42Speaker 2: It one time, and it was called a place called
- 18:45Speaker 2: through because we all go through. But it's how you
- 18:49Speaker 2: come through. And after you've come through, that's what your
- 18:54Speaker 2: purpose is. Because see God's going to allow you to
- 18:57Speaker 2: go through circumstances and situation. But in that meaning, you're
- 19:02Speaker 2: gonna find your faith your strength, and you'll know who
- 19:06Speaker 2: you are and what your purpose on this earth is.
- 19:09Speaker 2: And our purpose is to serve God with the fullness
- 19:13Speaker 2: of who He has made us to be. And so
- 19:15Speaker 2: I had to go learn all this myself. I didn't
- 19:17Speaker 2: wake up overnight and just knew it. But that word purpose,
- 19:22Speaker 2: it's living, its life lasting, and it means through th
- 19:26Speaker 2: h R are u g H.
- 19:29Speaker 3: And I'll give you the meaning of that.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Oh like, well, go ahead and give me the meaning
- 19:34Speaker 1: of that. Come on, I'm ready. My heart is receiving.
- 19:43Speaker 2: T is actually temporary circumstances and situations. They're not always,
- 19:50Speaker 2: you know, permanent things, because by the power of the
- 19:53Speaker 2: Holy Goos, God is able. He said to do what
- 19:57Speaker 2: all things yeah, h is what healing. It is also
- 20:03Speaker 2: helping as we study before our assignments are to help
- 20:07Speaker 2: one another are when we look at R as with
- 20:12Speaker 2: my stage production, the subtitle is Revival, Restoration and Redemption.
- 20:18Speaker 2: It the o omnipotent okay Omni present you. As we
- 20:25Speaker 2: talked about understanding G is gird up your loins h
- 20:33Speaker 2: again healing process, you know, and that's th h R
- 20:37Speaker 2: O U g H. We got to be helpers. And
- 20:40Speaker 2: willing to do what God has charged us to do.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And that is your place called through because again you've
- 20:48Speaker 2: gone through. Yes, you may struggle to get through, but
- 20:53Speaker 2: I promise you when you come through, just know that two.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Glory be to God. You have one.
- 21:02Speaker 2: You have power because God has given me. He promises
- 21:05Speaker 2: you that you can do all things. And that's the
- 21:08Speaker 2: glory of the Lord. He didn't say you could do
- 21:11Speaker 2: one thing, or two things, or just a few. He
- 21:15Speaker 2: said all things are possible if you would if you believe.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So you've got to believe that, even though it may
- 21:24Speaker 2: be in the darkness of the darkness in your life.
- 21:27Speaker 2: You know, I'm a nine year breast cancer survivor, and
- 21:31Speaker 2: when that doctor told me that I had breast cancer,
- 21:34Speaker 2: I did not know what to do. That room was
- 21:37Speaker 2: so dark and cold. I didn't want to have the doctor,
- 21:39Speaker 2: I didn't want to see nobody. The breast cancer navigated
- 21:42Speaker 2: kept getting on my nerves and I just wish she
- 21:44Speaker 2: would disappear. And today we're really good friends.
- 21:48Speaker 3: But I had to go through that.
- 21:51Speaker 2: And when the doctor, you know, they came in and
- 21:53Speaker 2: he said, well, this is what it is, and they
- 21:55Speaker 2: said it was stage three, and I really got into
- 21:58Speaker 2: panic then, but they actually had to call a whole
- 22:01Speaker 2: team together to diagnose what was going on. The mystery
- 22:06Speaker 2: was they couldn't find out where it was coming from.
- 22:10Speaker 2: There were no indications. Today they still can't find out.
- 22:13Speaker 2: There was just this one thing, and I say it
- 22:16Speaker 2: was just a limb without a trunk, and that was God.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And when I came out of the surgery, everybody was
- 22:23Speaker 2: looking at me like really, because my song of praise
- 22:27Speaker 2: was and I mean I was laying up on the
- 22:29Speaker 2: stretch of singing I am free, I am free, praise
- 22:33Speaker 2: the Lord.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I'm no longer bound.
- 22:35Speaker 2: There's no more change holding me down because my soul
- 22:39Speaker 2: was resting, and it was a pleasure to know God
- 22:43Speaker 2: took me all the way through that and all my
- 22:45Speaker 2: fears and all my doubts, worried about cam saying what
- 22:47Speaker 2: people were gonna say, and even when I want to
- 22:50Speaker 2: come home and tell my children, but God he brought
- 22:54Speaker 2: me through, and so I felt free. And I was
- 22:56Speaker 2: sitting there singing and the nurses are looking at me,
- 22:58Speaker 2: lotting down to doubt was wrong with her. Hey, that
- 23:01Speaker 2: same eagle had to rose up in me then with
- 23:04Speaker 2: all He gave me power and so I felt it and.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I just laid there for a couple of days and
- 23:08Speaker 3: they were looking at me like I was like, look,
- 23:13Speaker 3: I felt so good.
- 23:14Speaker 2: So again, I do apologize for going off track.
- 23:18Speaker 1: But did she did? She apologized, apologizing for you have
- 23:27Speaker 1: nothing planting in me. There's a reason. See, you know
- 23:34Speaker 1: what God is funny? God is funny. Don't play with
- 23:38Speaker 1: him because he got.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Plenty of jokes. Well, you don't play with God. You
- 23:43Speaker 3: have to take him serious.
- 23:45Speaker 2: But he can bring in some humorous situations and circumstances
- 23:50Speaker 2: to our lives sometimes. But it's who you are, who
- 23:55Speaker 2: you created to be. And you know, I tell people
- 23:59Speaker 2: I'm an old lady now, but I thank God for
- 24:02Speaker 2: who I am at this age and the things that
- 24:04Speaker 2: I've had to endure. And again, they all have not
- 24:07Speaker 2: been very pleasant. There been some times where I mean
- 24:12Speaker 2: I really really went through some things and I did
- 24:15Speaker 2: not know how I was going to come out of them.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I started having pity party. After pity party. I felt
- 24:22Speaker 2: that nobody really cared, nobody loved me.
- 24:25Speaker 3: When I was.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Being sexually assaulted, I didn't care because it was just
- 24:30Speaker 2: somebody was there. But I learned later that this was
- 24:34Speaker 2: not who God wanted me to be, and I had
- 24:37Speaker 2: to learn that path. Okay, this is what happened. Both
- 24:40Speaker 2: of my parents died within six months of each one.
- 24:43Speaker 2: They were all I knew. That was all I had.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I had an aunt that was so dear to me.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I'm named after her actually, and then she died years later.
- 24:52Speaker 2: And it was very suddenly that tore me apart. And
- 24:55Speaker 2: it just seemed like people were just they were so
- 24:58Speaker 2: separated from me. I couldn't understand anything. And my next
- 25:02Speaker 2: upcoming book, After the Rain, Praised with Purposes, coming out
- 25:06Speaker 2: hopefully the end of this year. So you know, we
- 25:09Speaker 2: go to even after the ring, we get caught up
- 25:12Speaker 2: in the thunder and the lightning and the downpour. But
- 25:15Speaker 2: what's happening to you after that ring, after that storm?
- 25:18Speaker 3: What happened there? It goes on the other side of
- 25:21Speaker 3: this plate's call.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Through And when is that coming out?
- 25:28Speaker 3: We pray that it.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Will be out by the end of the year. We
- 25:31Speaker 2: don't have a date yet. We don't have a date yet,
- 25:33Speaker 2: but I'm praying fault that it will hit out by
- 25:37Speaker 2: the end of the year. We are hoping in the
- 25:38Speaker 2: next couple of months. However, God does it you take.
- 25:42Speaker 1: It okay, So I'm gonna keep y'all. I'm gonna find
- 25:45Speaker 1: out first, but I'm gonna keep y'all updated when this
- 25:48Speaker 1: book comes out. So I have a question, how has
- 25:52Speaker 1: it being a female author in this book industry? Do
- 25:59Speaker 1: you find it difficult? Do you find it easy? How
- 26:04Speaker 1: does the literature industry treat you like? How does it feel?
- 26:13Speaker 3: Well? So far? Really, I haven't really struggled with it.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I think it's because I know so many other female authors.
- 26:23Speaker 2: The only thing that I have realized, and I just
- 26:27Speaker 2: recently saw this happening, how it becomes competitive. Culturize above
- 26:36Speaker 2: is not a book about competition. It's a book of
- 26:40Speaker 2: inspiration and encouragement and empowerment.
- 26:44Speaker 3: My book was written based on the fact that I
- 26:47Speaker 3: aspire to help.
- 26:49Speaker 2: As many people as I can in their relationship with
- 26:53Speaker 2: God but in finding themselves.
- 26:55Speaker 3: But I find that.
- 26:58Speaker 2: As a female author, it has been challenging because again,
- 27:03Speaker 2: people take it as a competition. And I'm not a
- 27:07Speaker 2: competitive person. I really am not, and I don't like
- 27:11Speaker 2: to compete, and I especially with things that I've written
- 27:14Speaker 2: because I write from my heart and I write from
- 27:17Speaker 2: the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. So I can't compete
- 27:19Speaker 2: with you, but that's really been one of the I
- 27:22Speaker 2: can say the interests I've seen is that competition.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Wow. I've heard that a lot in the industry that
- 27:31Speaker 1: a lot of people hate the competition wise of it.
- 27:35Speaker 1: And I usually tell authors there's really no competition because
- 27:40Speaker 1: no one is just going to read one book. There
- 27:44Speaker 1: is exactly is out there for everyone. And collaborations is
- 27:50Speaker 1: something that I really do like because I love to
- 27:52Speaker 1: see a group of authors get together and work on
- 27:54Speaker 1: a piece. So let's go there. If you can collaborate
- 27:59Speaker 1: with any author, or let's take it back, let's try
- 28:05Speaker 1: this one. If you can collaborate with any gospel singer
- 28:10Speaker 1: and write a book, who would it be and why?
- 28:16Speaker 2: Well, at the top of my mind right now, it
- 28:21Speaker 2: would be because I really do like CC whining like
- 28:26Speaker 2: a brothers as well.
- 28:29Speaker 3: But I think that CEC has a unique story.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I love Yulanda Adams their music.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I believe it's coming from their hearts.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I believe that their passion lies within those songs, the
- 28:46Speaker 2: lyrics of their music, and their music is a song
- 28:51Speaker 2: of inspiration. It's also a song of encouragement and a
- 28:56Speaker 2: lot of times we get caught up into the rhythm
- 28:59Speaker 2: of the music. But when you sit back and you
- 29:02Speaker 2: really began to listen to the words, you know you
- 29:06Speaker 2: have greater meaning. It has greater meaning for you if
- 29:10Speaker 2: you just listen to what's being said. And so I
- 29:15Speaker 2: would say if I ever had to co author a book,
- 29:19Speaker 2: they would be at the top of the list that
- 29:21Speaker 2: I would do. And you know, because I just really
- 29:25Speaker 2: believe in what they're singing.
- 29:26Speaker 3: I really do.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Now I have to admit I am a C. C
- 29:30Speaker 1: one and I totally forgot all about Yolanda Adams. I
- 29:34Speaker 1: totally forgot all about Yolanda Adams. And I can hear
- 29:38Speaker 1: her song open my Heart.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Okay, So it's a crime. It's a song of you know,
- 29:49Speaker 2: she she's reaching out to God.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Here yes, and it's a very yes. It's really when
- 29:58Speaker 1: you think about it, it is a it is an
- 30:03Speaker 1: intimate moment between you and God when it comes down
- 30:05Speaker 1: to that song. Mm hmm, very intimate moment is like
- 30:10Speaker 1: I surrender all this is my heart, this is everything
- 30:13Speaker 1: that's going on. I need you. I know You're going
- 30:16Speaker 1: to guide me. What do I need to do.
- 30:22Speaker 2: It's just like the opening of our production. Not to
- 30:26Speaker 2: take you from that thought the opening of the stage production,
- 30:31Speaker 2: when praise becomes my purpose. One of the songs that
- 30:36Speaker 2: we're opening with is break every Ching, and that's Tasha
- 30:41Speaker 2: compably and that's because it's a cry that actually, can
- 30:49Speaker 2: you believe I am the opening act, but I'm not singing.
- 30:54Speaker 3: I'm not gonna do that part.
- 30:58Speaker 2: But it's a for God to, you know, help us out,
- 31:05Speaker 2: to help bring us through our struggles and the trials
- 31:08Speaker 2: and again that revival, restoration and redemption. It is so
- 31:13Speaker 2: that those changes have to come off of us, so
- 31:16Speaker 2: you know, I just do. Actually, she could be there
- 31:18Speaker 2: with us when those chains hit that stage floor. I
- 31:22Speaker 2: guarantee you you'll be touched.
- 31:25Speaker 1: So I was actually going to ask you to tell
- 31:28Speaker 1: us a little bit about it when it would be
- 31:30Speaker 1: where it would be, so our listeners can have like
- 31:34Speaker 1: a little chance to say, Okay, this is what we're
- 31:36Speaker 1: going to do. So give us some information about your
- 31:38Speaker 1: stage play. That's happening Eastern correct.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's happening actually April the nineteenth at six pm,
- 31:47Speaker 2: and it's at the College in Civic Center in Walterboro,
- 31:50Speaker 2: South Carolina. The doors will open promptly at six pm,
- 31:54Speaker 2: and of course, it is called when Prey. It's becomes
- 31:57Speaker 2: my purpose and this production it's a life story. It
- 32:02Speaker 2: really is a life story. We talk about sexual sex, trafficking,
- 32:10Speaker 2: drug uses. There things happening. The church is all broken
- 32:13Speaker 2: up to up upside down. There's an adulterous relationship that happens,
- 32:19Speaker 2: there's a kidnapping that goes on. But at the end
- 32:22Speaker 2: of the day, the family has been restored. The church
- 32:25Speaker 2: has been restored as well through this revival and at
- 32:28Speaker 2: the very end of the day, through all of the scenes,
- 32:32Speaker 2: it will be a brand new life. And that will
- 32:35Speaker 2: be the closing of John p Key's song brand New
- 32:39Speaker 2: LFE because he has given.
