- 0:10I found my freedom in you. I found a toy I can't lose, and
- 0:20thank God it's true. You wrapped your arms around me
- 0:24and heaven broke through. From the moment she found me.
- 0:29I found. Welcome to the Four Freedom
- 0:33Podcast. This podcast exists to bring the
- 0:37freedom of the gospel for everyday Christians with
- 0:40everyday issues. Now here are your hosts, James
- 0:44Seyfried and Brett Moore. Well, welcome back to the Four
- 0:50Freedom Podcast. Glad to have you back today.
- 0:53Glad to be back with you. Just we've been doing a lot of
- 0:56things here lately. We've had the conference, what
- 0:58we've just got done and we've got a lot of things to, we've
- 1:03got a lot of reports to give you.
- 1:04We've got a lot of announcements that we need to make.
- 1:08But we're just glad to be back in the saddle one more time.
- 1:12That's what's going on in my part of the country.
- 1:14James, what's going on in your neck of the woods?
- 1:17Yeah, man, it's been good to be back.
- 1:18It's been good to be home. We last week my wife's uncle
- 1:26passed away and so we drove to Arkansas on Friday.
- 1:31We got up and we had my son's first basketball game Friday
- 1:34morning or Friday after school. We hit the road Friday or I'm
- 1:38sorry, Thursday afternoon. We hit the road Thursday about
- 1:416:30 in the afternoon. That evening I drove through the
- 1:45night and never done that before to Arkansas.
- 1:48So I drove the 14 hours, we landed in Arkansas at 6:30 in
- 1:53the morning. I took a 2 hour nap, went to the
- 1:56funeral. That was at 10 O clock on Friday
- 1:58morning, went to lunch with her dad.
- 2:01And then we hit the road and I drove to John's house.
- 2:04He's halfway between Arkansas and my house.
- 2:08And so instead of driving the 14 hours back, we drove the seven
- 2:12hours to his house, stayed at his house that night, got up,
- 2:16went out that next morning after after breakfast and then got
- 2:21home. Saturday about 5-6 o'clock.
- 2:24So 48 hours, 30 of it was driving, a couple hours of sleep
- 2:29in between there. That was what happened at the
- 2:32end of last week. And So what a quick turn around
- 2:36that was for us. Good to hang out with him and
- 2:38his family. My kids are roughly the same age
- 2:41of his kids. And so he's Uncle John, I'm
- 2:44Uncle James. The kids play, the adults hang
- 2:47out. So it's always a good time to
- 2:49get together with him. And so we had a great time and
- 2:54then we got back and my vehicle starts messing up.
- 2:58And so we've been in and out of the shop this whole week trying
- 3:02to get my stinking vehicle working right.
- 3:04And it's just frustrating, Brett.
- 3:06And you know this as as an adult, but also a mechanic who
- 3:09who changed old man. You, you figure out, you think
- 3:11you know the problem, you get it fixed.
- 3:13The problem still happen. So you go back, you get it, you
- 3:16think you got the right answer. You go in still has a problem.
- 3:19And it's just third, fourth time you go in.
- 3:21It's just frustrating. And so as I was praying with my
- 3:25kids last night, I said, Lord, give us patience, help us to
- 3:28learn what we're what while we're going through what we're
- 3:31going through. And and so it's just a, it's a
- 3:35it's a trying time. It's not that it's and
- 3:38manageable, but it's just it's frustrating at times when you're
- 3:41busy, you're trying to get ready for Thanksgiving, family coming
- 3:45in and then these little things come up that just hurt you.
- 3:49Here's what happened. The mechanic knew what the
- 3:51problem was the first visit, he came in and said look at this
- 3:56guy, look at this sucker. I bet we can make a lot of money
- 3:58off of him and they just keep on milking you.
- 4:02Yeah, well, yesterday, and This is why, you know, sometimes I
- 4:07think that. But then two days ago when I
- 4:09brought my vehicle in and I've been going to the same shop,
- 4:12it's a new shop I was going to, but an old man was working on
- 4:15it. And I thought, man, this guy,
- 4:17he's pretty solid. I like old guys.
- 4:18They, they know what they're doing.
- 4:19And the second time we were, he was, I met him.
- 4:23I found out he was a pastor. And so I sort of threw out,
- 4:26yeah, you know, I'm a pastor too.
- 4:27And so man, he, he's like, yeah, cut my labor in half, help this
- 4:31guy out. So it's, he's, he's been helping
- 4:33me out. So I appreciate that he saved me
- 4:35some money and I appreciate what they've been doing.
- 4:40So while you're going on your trips and everything this past
- 4:44weekend, I'm at an elementary school and an old abandoned
- 4:50elementary school that's been refurbished.
- 4:52And we're thinking about using this school for a crusade.
- 4:56So I meet there with the first, with the groundskeeper, pastor,
- 5:01First Baptist Church, Carthage. I meet there with the
- 5:05associational director of my county and we're walking
- 5:08through, we're walking through, you know, saying what do we need
- 5:14here? We can, if we have the crusade
- 5:16here, we can bring in chairs here and we can turn these into
- 5:19overflow rooms. And we're videoing and we're
- 5:21doing the whole thing. And then I go to leave and as
- 5:24I'm pulling out the end of the road, I make a, it's a dead end
- 5:29and I make a, a wide left. And I just not to smooth knock
- 5:33over a mailbox, snap the post in half.
- 5:37And I really didn't even realize I did it at first until I got on
- 5:41down the road a piece and I was like, I just knocked that
- 5:43mailbox over. So I pulled over and I went and
- 5:46looked at my truck and not a scratch.
- 5:48I mean, I can't even see where my truck made contact.
- 5:53I know I did it, but there's not not one scratch on my on my
- 5:57truck. Now, I was never going to go
- 5:59off. I was never going to leave.
- 6:02But man, there was something in me.
- 6:04It's like, you know what? If I left, nobody would know.
- 6:09I was like, oh, you know, you can't do that.
- 6:11What if they got a camera out there?
- 6:14So I turn around, went back, knocked on the door and sure
- 6:19enough there was a ring camera. It wasn't facing the mailbox but
- 6:23she talked to me through the ring camera.
- 6:25Few days later I was able to to fix the post for her.
- 6:29Now here's the thing. When I went to fix the post,
- 6:31she, she pointed to a camera and said, we've had this mailbox
- 6:35knocked over before and I've got people on camera knocking it
- 6:38over and then leaving and saying that they, they didn't do it.
- 6:41That's why we got the camera. So you said, I'm thankful.
- 6:44I'm thankful that you came back. And I was like, in my mind,
- 6:48like, I'm thankful I came back too because that, that that
- 6:51would have been in back because I was right.
- 6:53There was a camera on the mailbox.
- 6:54So little, little side quest for you there.
- 6:57Yeah, when you got you have like 0% tint on your windows.
- 7:02I hope no officer is listening, but it's it's dark in your truck
- 7:05like it's hard to see. And so I I at.
- 7:08Night at night. When I come to a stop sign at
- 7:10night, after all the wind is down before I make a turn.
- 7:13It's that dark? Yeah, it's it's very dark.
- 7:15I thought you were gonna say as you were coming out of this old
- 7:17abandoned elementary school, a ghost came out from the side and
- 7:21began talking to you and and you just sort of had a conversation
- 7:24with them. That's what I was thinking you
- 7:25were gonna say. Wasn't expecting you to go
- 7:27mailbox route, but yeah, that's that's great.
- 7:31Hey, let's come down here, let's get the keys and let's do a
- 7:34night time episode. Spend the night in and sit,
- 7:39yeah, maybe get some EMP, see if we can get some signal.
- 7:42Maybe we can get a direct lock to come down and do a
- 7:44deliverance conference. Yeah, have him exercise the
- 7:49demon. There we go.
- 7:51Love it, love it. Well, man, it's been a hot
- 7:55minute since we got on here. We had our RFP conference and we
- 7:58dropped your episode of your sermon.
- 8:00We are still waiting on the man JC to get me my sermon so we can
- 8:05drop it if it comes in, we'll drop it next week and and then
- 8:10we'll be rolling on from there. But man, we've got some updates
- 8:13going on. We want to give you guys.
- 8:15We, we dropped the 8 minute episode a couple of weeks ago to
- 8:19be praying for Nathan. We were hopeful, but we were, I
- 8:24know for me, myself, we were hopeful, but we were, we were
- 8:29very worried, concerned. It wasn't looking good for
- 8:36Nathan to say the last. I'll just go ahead and and tell
- 8:39you that I kept the last day of my vacation open because I
- 8:42thought I was going to go to his funeral.
- 8:44Yeah, I mean, that's how serious things were.
- 8:47Like we were praying and we were asking God, but the same time
- 8:52you get near the end of the week, JC says he goes in the
- 8:55hospital and thinks that that's the last time he's ever going to
- 8:58see his friend alive. And he's like, well, we need to,
- 9:01we need to prepare for the worst.
- 9:03And it was only by God's grace and a miracle of the Lord.
- 9:07Like I saw a picture on Facebook today of Nathan standing, you
- 9:12know, and I never thought I would ever see Nathan stand
- 9:15again. And it's just a it like when you
- 9:19get it, when you really get a hold of heaven and you really
- 9:22come boldly before the throne of grace, God can do miraculous
- 9:28things. And it's just a testament that
- 9:30we have a God on the throne that listens to us, that cares about
- 9:35us. And, and, and it was within his
- 9:38will to allow Nathan to continue to live.
- 9:41And we're just so thankful that that he's survived thus far.
- 9:45He's still not out of the woods. He's got some medical issues and
- 9:50we're going to talk about that here in just a second, but the
- 9:54fact that he's still with us today is just nothing short of a
- 9:57miracle. Absolutely.
- 9:59I love what Kerry said on Facebook, She said.
- 10:02We're praising God, that he answered our prayers, but even
- 10:06if he wouldn't, we would have still said that God is good.
- 10:10And that is the attitude that we have to have because there are
- 10:12times where life is difficult and things are uncertain.
- 10:16But it's good to know that God is still in control.
- 10:19I think as of this morning, Nathan went in for a surgery to
- 10:23begin this healing process of removing some, some appendages,
- 10:29some extremities on his body. And so just continue to be
- 10:32praying for him again, for his kidneys to wake up, his liver
- 10:35and spleen to begin to regrow. He's on dialysis right now from
- 10:40what I understand, twice a week or every other day.
- 10:44And so just continue to be praying for him, be praying for
- 10:48the family, his girls, his son, his daughter-in-law, and Brett.
- 10:52What else? Well I as far as the dialysis
- 10:58that look it for you to go, you know every other day and sit 8
- 11:02hours in a clinic to go through dialysis is just just torture.
- 11:08We are praying for his kidneys to come back to life.
- 11:10There is a little bit of renal function but as of yet they have
- 11:13not done that. Now listen, I've heard of
- 11:17people. I knew a man that friends with a
- 11:21man at this church that had a dialysis machine at home and he
- 11:26was on dialysis at night when he slept.
- 11:29Yeah, I know several of that. You know, and so that's that,
- 11:32you know, that's keeping you from having to go, you know, to
- 11:37a clinic 8 hours a day, three or four times a week.
- 11:41That would be where it's at. So hopefully if he doesn't get
- 11:45his kidney function back, something like that, like that
- 11:48can happen. And then of course, you know,
- 11:51he'll lose some fingers and toes and, and things like that.
- 11:55And not sure when that's going to be.
- 11:57Let let me tell you what the most compelling thing that
- 12:02Carrie posted that I couldn't get out of my brain.
- 12:07And it's you think about it, it's literally one of the most
- 12:11powerful verses in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament.
- 12:17And it's Job 1315. Though he slay me, yet will I
- 12:22trust in him? That is just such a powerful
- 12:27moving statement. Though he slay me, though he
- 12:31destroy me, though he take everything away from me.
- 12:36Like Peter, Where else am I going to go?
- 12:39He's got the words of eternal life.
- 12:41He knows what's best for me. I trust that what he's doing for
- 12:45me come from a place of love. I can't see over the hill, and
- 12:51he can. And it's just a great, a great
- 12:56position to have. It's so great a faith that he
- 12:59gives us. It's so great a faith that the
- 13:03world knows nothing about. And so we're just very thankful.
- 13:08I think Nathan, they got Nathan in the hospital.
- 13:12He's got some liver damage and he's got his spleen isn't fully,
- 13:18you know, I think it's about 3/4 damaged.
- 13:21So we still got some issues and, and there there's some other
- 13:26thing medical issues that I, I can't remember right now, but
- 13:29just keep them in your prayers. We're praying for the comeback.
- 13:33We want to let you know about the shirts.
- 13:36Where? Where the shirts at?
- 13:38Believe they're on Etsy, you can find on the RFP fan page.
- 13:42And then you can also always give to help out with medical
- 13:45bills. You know, we're looking at what,
- 13:47almost three weeks now in the hospital, 2 weeks in the
- 13:49hospital, 2 1/2 weeks, Yeah. So just continue to help if you
- 13:56can. And the shirts are great if you
- 14:00can help out with that. I think they're on the Etsy shop
- 14:02or something. You may be able to search it.
- 14:04We'll try to find a link and put it in the show notes.
- 14:07If all of our listeners gave $10, he would have $20.00.
- 14:11So we all think about that. Amen, Amen.
- 14:14Love it. Well, we do have an update for
- 14:17Israel. We are still wanting are
- 14:20planning to go to Israel. Got off the phone with Pari
- 14:23today, Our Lady in Israel and we have decided to postpone our
- 14:27trip to Israel from 2025 to 2026.
- 14:31Still looking at a March date to go there in 2026.
- 14:35And so if maybe you were thinking, man, I really wanted
- 14:37to go, but 2025 was just too close.
- 14:40I know my aunt reached out to me and said, hey, I was wanting to
- 14:44go. Moving in another year is
- 14:46actually going to help me better.
- 14:48I'm going to start saving right now.
- 14:49I'm going to pay the deposit. And so, you know, by moving that
- 14:53we're going to allow other people to be able to go.
- 14:56So our all the information still on our website that costs $5000,
- 15:00that's everything out the door, all your every, that's money for
- 15:04spending money, that's money for your lunches.
- 15:08That is the cost of the trip, the five star hotels and the
- 15:12food, that is fantastic. All the sites that we're going
- 15:15to go to in Galilee area, the region of the Sea of Galilee,
- 15:20the Dead Sea, all of Jerusalem, the several days there in
- 15:23Jerusalem, getting to see Masada, all the different
- 15:26locations, that is all included out the door.
- 15:30But it'll be March of 2026. That gives us a year and a
- 15:33couple of months, almost a year and a half to begin to look at
- 15:36that. We still want to go.
- 15:37We still think it'd be great for you to join us.
- 15:40And so if you're interested and you think, man, I really want to
- 15:44go, now would be the time to sign up.
- 15:46All you got to do is pay that deposit and then you can begin
- 15:49to make payments, save money back and go with us there to
- 15:54Israel in just a couple of months in 2026.
- 15:59You know, we've got some people that have they've already paid
- 16:01some money and put some money down.
- 16:03And the way this company works, that money's not lost.
- 16:07It's going to roll over. It will always be there.
- 16:11It will always be there to go towards towards a trip.
- 16:15And I've talked to some of my people here and you know, we
- 16:18weighed the options. Do we want to go to Greece?
- 16:21Do we do steps of Paul? Do we want to do this, do that?
- 16:24And the other and we on my side, the people that are on my side
- 16:28of the trip have said, look, we were doing this to go to Israel.
- 16:31I mean, we might not ever do anything like this again.
- 16:34And then we want to save it for Israel because, you know,
- 16:39something's happening in January, James, I don't know if
- 16:43you're aware of this pretty popular move news around the
- 16:46country, but something is happening in January that
- 16:50somebody's going to come in and put an end to the conflict over
- 16:53there. Yeah, I've been told that we're
- 16:55going to be unburdened by what had been.
- 16:58And So what had been is there and we're going to be unburdened
- 17:02by it and looking forward to seeing already some some great
- 17:07cognitive positions with Donald Trump.
- 17:09And this, this is where I stand with it, Brett.
- 17:15Whoever was would have been elected would have been the God
- 17:17ordained president of the United States and God would have put
- 17:21him there for a reason. And I'm thankful that God is
- 17:25still in control and he's still on the throne.
- 17:28And we are in a country that is a free nation right now that
- 17:34allows us to have elections. And so I'm thankful for that and
- 17:37that we're excited about the future of our country, future of
- 17:41the podcast, in the future of what we've got going on.
- 17:44Hey, I know you've been practicing your Trump dance,
- 17:46right QYMCA? Yeah, baby.
- 17:50Yeah, baby. This isn't on video, so we're
- 17:52good. All right, but yeah, so like I
- 17:56said, we're still going to Israel, the Israel I will for
- 18:00the the Israel trip. Israel moved me so much and
- 18:05changed so much about the way that I pastor changed so much
- 18:11the way about I read my Bible, the way I'm a Christian and the
- 18:16way I think about, you know, things over there.
- 18:20And it changed. So it touched me so deeply more
- 18:24than I thought that it ever would.
- 18:26And so I will forever, as long as I'm here, as long as I'm
- 18:31physically able and as long as I'm a pastor, I will continue to
- 18:37host trips to Israel. It's just something that's it's
- 18:41a part of my life now. And yes, right now we can't do
- 18:44that because of things going on over there.
- 18:46But who knows how long that'll last, and it could be over very
- 18:51soon and and when it's over, we're going to be right back
- 18:55over there. Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:57Well, Brett, I am excited about this next announcement.
- 19:00This announcement is something that me personally, I have, I
- 19:06don't want to say dreamed about, but it's been an opportunity
- 19:09that I've always wanted to explore, wanted to be a part of.
- 19:13And this opportunity came across our desk a couple of weeks ago.
- 19:18We began praying about it. We began asking ourselves, is
- 19:21this something that we should be a part of or jump into?
- 19:25And so we have decided to pull the trigger and go with it.
- 19:29But 1689 Cigars, which is a Christian cigar company is
- 19:34allowing us to make our own cigar through them.
- 19:38And so it's going to be the four Freedom Cigar Company.
- 19:41We're going to have three cigars that are going to be our brand,
- 19:441 is going to be Connecticut, 1 is going to be a Habanero Habano
- 19:50and one's going to be a Maduro and three Churchill style
- 19:54cigars, which are the longer cigars, the bigger rim Shank on
- 19:58the end. And that man, I am excited about
- 20:01it. We've already begin sampling
- 20:03some different ones and talking with them about our own specific
- 20:07line that'll be. Curtail to us and what we like
- 20:12and we hope that you will jump in the pre-orders will begin
- 20:16into December and hopefully will be in your off in your lap in
- 20:21your office. If you're a cigar smoker by the
- 20:24beginning to middle of January is what our lead time is looking
- 20:28like. It does take time to produce
- 20:29these. This is a A specialized A+ plus
- 20:33grade tobacco that we're going to be using very high end stuff.
- 20:38Very we, we could be charging 20-30 dollars a stick for what
- 20:43we're going to be producing, but we're going to give it at a
- 20:46really great rate. We're not going to make a whole
- 20:48lot of money, but we're just excited about putting our name
- 20:52on a cigar and we're excited about that.
- 20:54I do enjoy a cigar. I do enjoy smoke into the glory
- 21:00of God as a Spurgeon said he would do.
- 21:03And Brett we we came together with some names.
- 21:06Brett is my wordsmith. Brett is is put together a
- 21:10couple of names for our different line of cigars.
- 21:13Brett, why don't you tell us? Do we want to start with
- 21:16rejected names? No, I don't think we should do.
- 21:19Let's not do any rejected because they may eventually come
- 21:22out as a cigar. Later on, okay, but I leave
- 21:26those in. Just what about?
- 21:29Yeah. What?
- 21:30What? OK, All right.
- 21:31We, we, that one that Allison voted for, we're probably not
- 21:34going to use. We could say that one.
- 21:36Yeah, yeah. Oh, well, well, we'll, we'll
- 21:39leave it then. Who knows?
- 21:41Yeah. All right, so here's what we've
- 21:42got. Here's the three that we have
- 21:45come up with. The first one is, oh, I gotta
- 21:49find it. Right here is a sweet elder.
- 21:53So this will be our light brand, this will be our Connecticut and
- 21:56it's going to be a sweet cigar. It's going to be a cigar that is
- 21:59a sweet tipped and sweet all the way through.
- 22:02I'm a sweet guy, like smoking sweet cigars.
- 22:04And so this will be have a little more flavor.
- 22:08It won't be infused with acid, but it'll be infused with flavor
- 22:11and hints of sweetness. And so we're really excited
- 22:14about that. Our medium, medium area bread.
- 22:17I think this is your favorite one, right?
- 22:20Oh, is it the? Is it the?
- 22:21Is it that one? OK, I'm confused Then go ahead
- 22:24and say which one it is. The Bishop's blend.
- 22:27Oh yeah, the Bishop's blend. Yeah.
- 22:29The Bishop's blend will be our, I would say habanero.
- 22:32It's habano, Habano. And this will be our medium in
- 22:37between a light cigar to a dark cigar.
- 22:41It'll have some hints of, of coffee.
- 22:44I'm sorry. It'll have some hints of of,
- 22:47yeah, coffee and pepper, and that's going to be a great line.
- 22:50I've already enjoyed one and it's going to be great.
- 22:53And then our Maduro, our Dart brand, our darkest one will be.
- 22:58This is my favorite name. OK.
- 23:00This most favorite? Yeah.
- 23:01This is my favorite name and it's pastors reserve.
- 23:05The pastors reserve. That's a.
- 23:07Great name. Yeah, this one will be.
- 23:10This one will be having. It'll have hints of cocoa,
- 23:13leather, pepper and it's going to be a great line, great cigar.
- 23:18And so we're excited about it should be, like I said, coming
- 23:23out, pre-orders will be coming out really, I'm sorry, really
- 23:27soon. And then we'll be able to begin
- 23:30to launch and sell and there's a couple events.
- 23:33We're going to be doing some ways for you to get a hold of
- 23:36that. And we are excited about this
- 23:39opportunity. Man, it's sort of like a dream
- 23:42come true for me. I've I've smoked cigars since I
- 23:46was in college and I just love my, my grandpa.
- 23:49He, he smoked pipes and smoked a cigar all the time.
- 23:52It was just one of the something, the one of those
- 23:53things I just just wanted to live through him.
- 23:57And, and we were born on the same day.
- 23:59I was born on his birthday. And so we had a special
- 24:03connection. And so this is sort of a
- 24:05lifelong dream for me. And so man, I am pumped.
- 24:09I'm excited about this coming out and I hope, I hope you guys
- 24:14will enjoy this journey with us as well.
- 24:16And so we're putting out some graphics on social media and
- 24:20ways you can order, ways you can get a hold of of what we're
- 24:23going to be a part of. Absolutely can't wait.
- 24:27I'm excited about it too. You told me about it and we we
- 24:31talked about it, went back and forth and like you said, decided
- 24:35to pull the trigger and I'm excited to be along for the
- 24:38ride. It's going to be awesome.
- 24:40Yeah, well, hopefully next week, Brett, we will drop our my
- 24:46sermon from the 4th, 2nd of Gospel Conference.

- 25:14Speaking of recording content, we're, we're going to jump into
- 25:17a series that that you came up with.
- 25:20And I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and I said,
- 25:23we're going to go through this content because we couldn't go
- 25:25through this when John was here because he just didn't want to
- 25:29talk about the risky subjects. He didn't want to talk about
- 25:31the, the risque, get your feet wet, get get in the NIT and
- 25:36gritty. And so we're going to be talking
- 25:38about freedom from wokeness and the what the wokeness is in the
- 25:44world and how it's seeping into the church culture, the cancer
- 25:49culture and the, the well, a couple other.
- 25:55Dudes all right, how many do we want to give a few or just say
- 25:58them all let's. Give let's give 3 Let's give 3

- 26:38reaching out to some people that are specific in these areas and
- 26:42may get a couple interviews in on this.

- 29:09You know, Jesus is at the center of everything that we do,
- 29:12everything that we are, everything that we stand for,
- 29:16all of our philosophies. It's about freedom in Christ,
- 29:21freedom in him. And so we are just thankful to
- 29:24get to be do here and do his will.
- 29:26And thank you for coming along for the ride.
