- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumps. Playfac go to roll right, tumps it off
- 0:07Speaker 1: into the right class to Michael Bumpets, who bounce us
- 0:09Speaker 1: off on one tackler gets inside the forty down of
- 0:12Speaker 1: the thirty five yard line. Powered by Seahawks dot Com,
- 0:15Speaker 1: Matt pump fakes looking at the goal line. He throws
- 0:17Speaker 1: it into the end zone. Touchdown Saint Hawks. It's Michael
- 0:21Speaker 1: Bumpus with a diving catching the end zone hot tan
- 0:24Speaker 1: yard touchdown reception for Bumpets, and the kid out of
- 0:27Speaker 1: Washington State has found himself a place on this team.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now here's your host, NASA Chubby. Welcome back to another
- 0:36Speaker 1: edition of Hawk Talk. This week the preview looking at
- 0:38Speaker 1: the seahawks next opponent in the Oakland Raiders. It's been
- 0:41Speaker 1: a nice little bye week China rest up for some
- 0:43Speaker 1: of us. I know Bumps out there grinding Monday through
- 0:46Speaker 1: Friday doing his thing, doing his thing for the Pac
- 0:48Speaker 1: twelve network as well. But for the rest of us
- 0:50Speaker 1: out here to get a nice little week off. But
- 0:52Speaker 1: we're back at it. We're excited because the Seahawks are
- 0:55Speaker 1: back at Looming Field to take on their old AFC
- 0:58Speaker 1: West Division rival, the law Veagas Raiders. What's untapped bump Raiders. Man,
- 1:07Speaker 1: they're a hard team to figure out. Man. They're three
- 1:10Speaker 1: and seven, third place in the AFC West, ahead of
- 1:13Speaker 1: another team down there who they have beaten twice this year,
- 1:16Speaker 1: the Denver Broncos. And the thing about them that jumps
- 1:19Speaker 1: out to me, Bump, is they've been in every game.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's not like they've just gotten their doors blown off.
- 1:24Speaker 1: They've been within one score in the fourth quarter of
- 1:26Speaker 1: every single game. Yet they're three and seven. Lost their Chargers,
- 1:30Speaker 1: the Cardinals, the Titans, Chiefs, Saints, Jags, Colts. It's been rough, man.
- 1:35Speaker 1: They've blown three seventeen point leads three different times. I've
- 1:40Speaker 1: been up seventeen and they lost that thing, man, brutal.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You look at some of their losses. One point loss
- 1:46Speaker 1: to the Chiefs, right, quality loss right there, you get lost,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and then you lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Right, I
- 1:53Speaker 1: have no idea what's going on. So I think it's
- 1:55Speaker 1: just the different type of losses that they have. Well,
- 1:58Speaker 1: one thing is for show they know how to beat
- 2:00Speaker 1: the Broncos, Yes they do. They got that much needed
- 2:04Speaker 1: victory on Sunday, beating them twenty two to sixteen in overtime.
- 2:07Speaker 1: They swept him. So the two of their three wins
- 2:09Speaker 1: this year against those Broncos. They bid beat the Houston
- 2:12Speaker 1: which is another not great football team. But I alluded
- 2:15Speaker 1: to you earlier all the seventeen point leads they've blown,
- 2:19Speaker 1: they're up on the Colts to the jeff Saturdays, they
- 2:22Speaker 1: end up losing that game, and after that game, I
- 2:24Speaker 1: just want to revisit it real quick. Was a very
- 2:26Speaker 1: emotional Derek car post game. You know, I'm sorry, Derek,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you know, to finish that, sorry for being emotional. I'm
- 2:37Speaker 1: just pissed off at some of the things you know
- 2:42Speaker 1: that a lot of us trying to do, just to
- 2:44Speaker 1: practice what we put our bodies through just to sleep
- 2:47Speaker 1: at night, and for that to be the result of
- 2:52Speaker 1: all that effort pisses me off. So that was him
- 2:56Speaker 1: after they lost to the Colts. But as I mentioned,
- 2:58Speaker 1: they got right against the Broncos bump. When you heard
- 3:00Speaker 1: that press conference and you heard him emotional at the podium,
- 3:03Speaker 1: what was your first thought. My first thought was, it's
- 3:07Speaker 1: deeper than um, guys preparing and right and what he's saying,
- 3:13Speaker 1: I think it's that's the culmination of get into Vante,
- 3:17Speaker 1: having Josh Jacobs, Waller's been in and out. Renfro's gone
- 3:22Speaker 1: new head coach. Like there's so much going on over
- 3:24Speaker 1: there to where these guys were projected to win, guarantee
- 3:27Speaker 1: you more than three or four games that and then
- 3:30Speaker 1: he asked a quarterback, you got to step in front
- 3:32Speaker 1: of the mic, answer these questions. Don't know what's going
- 3:34Speaker 1: on at home. I think that was it was deeper
- 3:37Speaker 1: than what we saw. There's a lot going on with
- 3:40Speaker 1: that dude right now. But like you said, man, let
- 3:43Speaker 1: it all out. I's and vulnerable, bounce back. Beat the Broncos.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Get right team you need, you need to win. Broncos gotcha.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And it was because I don't know whatever, he got
- 3:53Speaker 1: his emotions in check and got inspired the team because
- 3:56Speaker 1: they came out there and they beat the Broncos. And
- 3:58Speaker 1: Russell Wilson, you know, had a decent game stat wise,
- 4:00Speaker 1: didn't jump out anything crazy, twenty four to thirty one,
- 4:03Speaker 1: two forty seven yards, no touchdowns, sacked three times, and
- 4:07Speaker 1: the Broncos got off to good start. They're up ten nothing.
- 4:09Speaker 1: They had a nice little ninety two play ninety two
- 4:12Speaker 1: yard drive. Things were looking good. Raiders will respond Devanta
- 4:16Speaker 1: Adams with a thirty one yard touchdown. Teams will go
- 4:19Speaker 1: back and forth trading field goals, and that's where things
- 4:21Speaker 1: started to get all interesting. So the Broncos go up
- 4:23Speaker 1: sixteen thirteen with three to thirty left in the game.
- 4:25Speaker 1: The Raiders will go three and out of their next possession,
- 4:27Speaker 1: given Russell Wilson the ball back, needing just two first
- 4:30Speaker 1: downs the ice a game bump. Tell me what happened?
- 4:33Speaker 1: All rights thirty ten Raiders are out of timeouts and
- 4:36Speaker 1: Russell throws in any complete pass where he probably should
- 4:40Speaker 1: have taken the sack and gave himself up just to
- 4:42Speaker 1: bleet the clock. So people were saying he doesn't know
- 4:45Speaker 1: the situation right, But that didn't happen. The Raiders drove
- 4:48Speaker 1: down the field and on the league's best defense, seven
- 4:50Speaker 1: plays seventy one yards and tied the game as sixteen
- 4:55Speaker 1: with sixteen seconds left. So rust and not bleating the
- 4:58Speaker 1: clock gave these guys an opportunity. The Raiders get these
- 5:01Speaker 1: dudes in overtime. Three plays later, you're going up top
- 5:04Speaker 1: to Davante Adams for a thirty five yard touchdown. Adams
- 5:08Speaker 1: had himself a day. He's been low key having himself
- 5:11Speaker 1: a season two. We're just not really talking about it.
- 5:12Speaker 1: And he's got seven He had seven receptions for one
- 5:15Speaker 1: forty one and two touchdowns. They also got the run
- 5:17Speaker 1: game going. Josh Jacobs had one hundred and nine on
- 5:20Speaker 1: twenty four carries. And then their defensive player of the year.
- 5:23Speaker 1: When it comes to the Raiders, Max Crosby six tackles,
- 5:25Speaker 1: two sacks, three QB hits. We're gonna talk about Davonte.
- 5:30Speaker 1: He's been having a good season. It's just been overshadowed
- 5:32Speaker 1: by all these losses, no question about it. He's kind
- 5:35Speaker 1: of forgotten up there. He was in, you know, Aaron
- 5:37Speaker 1: Rodgers safety blanket in Green Bay, and you're seeing what's
- 5:39Speaker 1: happening there without Damante. They're struggling big time, and he
- 5:42Speaker 1: is a baller and he's definitely been balling out. But
- 5:44Speaker 1: when when we flip over to this head to head comparison,
- 5:47Speaker 1: you know, the Seahawks numbers slid a little bit defensively,
- 5:50Speaker 1: giving you know, what happened against the Bucks in Germany,
- 5:53Speaker 1: but they're still pretty good offensively. Eleventh overall total offense, thirteenth,
- 5:58Speaker 1: in rush offense thirteenth, and pass offense. Still at fifth
- 6:01Speaker 1: overall in points per game at twenty five, so they're
- 6:04Speaker 1: still putting up good numbers offensively. Defensively, you know, they
- 6:08Speaker 1: did a lot of damage early in the season and
- 6:10Speaker 1: they were really trending over that win street. They're playing
- 6:13Speaker 1: really good football. A couple numbers slid last week, so
- 6:15Speaker 1: they're still twenty six in total defense twenty eighth and
- 6:18Speaker 1: rush defense twenty first, and pass defense and allowing twenty
- 6:21Speaker 1: four points a game, which is tied for twenty second.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The rush defense definitely took a hit because they were
- 6:26Speaker 1: definitely training in the right direction. Unfortunately, they gave up
- 6:28Speaker 1: one hundred and sixty one yards to the Bucks in Germany.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Hopefully they can flip the script on that side. And
- 6:34Speaker 1: then when I look at the Raiders, man, they got
- 6:36Speaker 1: a lot of good players. Bump. But you know, these
- 6:38Speaker 1: rankings kind of show why they're three and seven. Yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 1: the personnel doesn't match what you what you see when
- 6:45Speaker 1: it comes to the rank is you look at the personnel,
- 6:47Speaker 1: then you would expect him to be one of the
- 6:49Speaker 1: best offensive teams in the league. The rank sixteenth overall,
- 6:52Speaker 1: we know Josh Jacobs can run the rock, but they're
- 6:54Speaker 1: averaging one hundred and six per game. That's twenty third.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And then pass offense, this is about where I expect
- 7:00Speaker 1: to them to be right, averaging about two thirty five
- 7:02Speaker 1: per game, that's eighth in the league. And then they're
- 7:04Speaker 1: sixteenth averaging twenty two point five points per game. Defensively,
- 7:08Speaker 1: it's where this team has been hurting. Now they're twenty
- 7:11Speaker 1: sixth rank. Excuse me, twenty seventh rank on defense is
- 7:14Speaker 1: different than I feel like the Hawks twenty six I
- 7:16Speaker 1: think the Hawks are probably more around fifteen sixteen. We
- 7:20Speaker 1: look at their last few games, but overall, the rates
- 7:23Speaker 1: of twenty seventh overall twentieth when it comes to defending
- 7:26Speaker 1: the run in twenty fourth when it comes defending the past,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and they are averaging are allowing twenty four points per game.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That's good for twenty fourth. Not a lot of interceptions
- 7:35Speaker 1: with this team neither only three interceptions this defense has gotten.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So a defense that will give up some yards won't
- 7:43Speaker 1: necessarily take the ball away from you. But again, you
- 7:46Speaker 1: got guys like Max Crosby over there. You gotta respect him,
- 7:49Speaker 1: no question about it. Again, I think You're right when
- 7:51Speaker 1: you said you look at their defensive ranking twenty seven
- 7:54Speaker 1: and ours twenty six, where I think they're two teams
- 7:57Speaker 1: going in different directions. The Seahawks have been able to
- 7:59Speaker 1: create more turnovers, they've been able to get after the quarterback.
- 8:02Speaker 1: The Raiders have not. So we'll be interesting when we
- 8:05Speaker 1: kind of dive more into this matchup. But like I
- 8:07Speaker 1: said earlier, these are old division rivals from the AFC West.
- 8:10Speaker 1: No your history, no your history. The Raiders lead the
- 8:16Speaker 1: series twenty nine to twenty six, and it took everything
- 8:19Speaker 1: in my body not to say Oakland there. It's just
- 8:22Speaker 1: like it's just it's always oka known. The Las Vegas
- 8:25Speaker 1: Raiders lead to series twenty nine twenty six. Seahawks have though,
- 8:28Speaker 1: won three of the last four meetings. The last time
- 8:31Speaker 1: they played each other was in London. The Seahawks beat
- 8:33Speaker 1: down the Raiders twenty seven to three twenty eighteen season.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It was all Seahawks from open to kick off. At
- 8:39Speaker 1: seventeen nothing at the half, We're at twenty seven zero
- 8:42Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter before the Raiders got a garbage
- 8:44Speaker 1: time field goal. Russell Wilson on a great day, going
- 8:47Speaker 1: seventeen to twenty three, two hundred twenty two yards, three touchdowns,
- 8:50Speaker 1: Doug Baldwin, Demo swag, David Moore, Jern Brown, Tyler locket.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Had all got in the end zone. And honestly, they
- 8:56Speaker 1: may serve about that game was the Seahawks haven't handled
- 8:58Speaker 1: the travel the Raiders. The Raiders complained all week and
- 9:01Speaker 1: it showed up on Sunday. Frank Clark at two and
- 9:04Speaker 1: a half sacks. Quentin Jefferson also at you point five TfL,
- 9:07Speaker 1: so hopefully he can do a little bit of that.
- 9:09Speaker 1: On Sunday. I was hoping Bump they would channel some
- 9:11Speaker 1: of this energy in Germany. Unfortunately it was not their day.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But we're past that. We've turned the page. What's the
- 9:18Speaker 1: word in the West? And the Seahawks were the NFC
- 9:25Speaker 1: West champs? Again, what's the word in the West? On
- 9:30Speaker 1: Hawk talk? Here's the word. If you look at the
- 9:33Speaker 1: standings with the naked eye, you see six and four
- 9:37Speaker 1: Niners and the six and four Seattle Seahawks, and you think, oh,
- 9:41Speaker 1: we're tied for first. Nope, that's not how this thing goes.
- 9:43Speaker 1: For the first time in about a month, the Hawks
- 9:45Speaker 1: are not leading the NFC West because they lost the
- 9:47Speaker 1: tiebreaker against the forty nine ers. The forty nine ers
- 9:50Speaker 1: have balled out, they've been on a three game winning streak.
- 9:53Speaker 1: That loss in Germany really hurt. These guys could be
- 9:56Speaker 1: up a game above the forty nine ers, but that's
- 10:00Speaker 1: not what it is. But let's talk about the forty
- 10:02Speaker 1: nine ers in that Cardinals game into Mexico City. The
- 10:08Speaker 1: things things with the Cardinals are just so turbulent right now.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Like you got guys missing Kyla Murray didn't play on
- 10:15Speaker 1: Monday Night, but you got relationships that have been fractured.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It's just all bad and Monday Night was no exception
- 10:21Speaker 1: for that. The Niners get it down thirty eight to ten,
- 10:23Speaker 1: and like I mentioned, they played without Kyler Murray. He's
- 10:25Speaker 1: had a hamstring issue. The last couple of weeks, seventy
- 10:29Speaker 1: eight thousand fans in Mexico City showed up to support
- 10:32Speaker 1: the forty nine ers. I was a Niners crowd all day.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I didn't hear no chis for Arizona. Maybe they're a
- 10:37Speaker 1: couple in there, but that was a Niners home game.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'd say the Arizona on the field, that was a
- 10:41Speaker 1: Niners game, and it helped guys like Jimmy. Jimmy ge
- 10:44Speaker 1: probably had his best performance of the year twenty twenty
- 10:47Speaker 1: twenty eight four touchdowns and QB rating of one thirty
- 10:50Speaker 1: one point nine. Kittle looks like the tight end that
- 10:54Speaker 1: we're used to seeing over the past couple of years.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Four receptions for eighty four yards and two touchdowns, and
- 10:58Speaker 1: then christ and McCaffrey had one hundred six toty yards
- 11:00Speaker 1: and Brennan I two touchdowns. There are so many playmakers
- 11:04Speaker 1: over there. All Jimmy has to do is flick the risk,
- 11:06Speaker 1: get it to his playmakers and they'll be fine. So
- 11:09Speaker 1: the Cardinals are down fourteen to three. They tried to
- 11:11Speaker 1: make it a game. They go on to nine and
- 11:13Speaker 1: play seventy five yard drive Anywood a James touchdown that
- 11:16Speaker 1: made it fourteen to ten, but after that it was
- 11:18Speaker 1: a rat Forty nine is twenty four unanswered points. Colte
- 11:21Speaker 1: McCoy did his best, but he strode against the forty
- 11:23Speaker 1: nine A front seven the end of the game with
- 11:25Speaker 1: twenty four to thirty four to eighteen, zero touchdowns, one interception.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Now the Hawks will have a nice little showdown with
- 11:34Speaker 1: these guys on Thursday Night football. I believe it's a
- 11:36Speaker 1: primetime game, and I assume it will still be a
- 11:40Speaker 1: primetime game by the time they score up. Oh, no
- 11:42Speaker 1: question about it. I mean it's Amazon that Thursday night,
- 11:44Speaker 1: so they're locked in regardless off. Each team lost every
- 11:47Speaker 1: game here on now, but that game is going to
- 11:49Speaker 1: decide the NCUS in my opinion. You know, the Niners
- 11:52Speaker 1: have the Saints Doolphin's Bucks. The Seahawks have the Raiders
- 11:57Speaker 1: at the Panthers in the RAM, so really important stretch
- 11:59Speaker 1: for both teams. Definitely bumped. I'm hoping the Saints, you know,
- 12:03Speaker 1: can rise up from the dead again, you know what
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm saying and help us out a little bit. The
- 12:07Speaker 1: Dolphins that's gonna be tough one and so the Buck.
- 12:09Speaker 1: So things will be interesting. And speaking of those Saints,
- 12:11Speaker 1: they took down the Rams. You want to talk about turbulence,
- 12:14Speaker 1: Bump La Man and La La Land. Things were good.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Super Bowl champ Sean McVay is the best thing ever.
- 12:20Speaker 1: He's a great offensive mine. They got all the right moves.
- 12:23Speaker 1: They don't care about the draft picks, none of that. Well,
- 12:26Speaker 1: twenty twenty two came at you fast. Rams continue to
- 12:30Speaker 1: spirally lost the Saint twenty seven twenty. Last week, they're
- 12:33Speaker 1: three and seven on the year, they've lost six of
- 12:35Speaker 1: seven games and on real jeopardy of being the first
- 12:38Speaker 1: Super Bowl winner to miss the playoffs the next year
- 12:40Speaker 1: since the twenty fifteen Broncos. That was a year in
- 12:42Speaker 1: Peyton Manning retired, and the last team who wanted Super
- 12:46Speaker 1: Bowl to have a losing record the following year was
- 12:48Speaker 1: the two thousand and three Buccan years. The Rams are
- 12:52Speaker 1: trending that way. And I say this all you know
- 12:55Speaker 1: in just a little bit, because I don't care who's
- 12:57Speaker 1: playing for him. When they play Seyhawks, it's gonna be attle,
- 13:00Speaker 1: because that's just always what it is with the Rams.
- 13:02Speaker 1: But they're struggling. Man. They're up fourteen ten against the Saints,
- 13:05Speaker 1: big Thord quarter by Andy Dalton getting things done. They
- 13:08Speaker 1: score fourteen points. Rams can't do anything else but kick
- 13:10Speaker 1: a couple of field goals. They lose the game. Matthew
- 13:12Speaker 1: Stafford leaves with a concussion. Cooper cups on IR. You
- 13:17Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. It's it's bad cam Akers had
- 13:19Speaker 1: sixty one yards or fourteen carries and he wasn't playing.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And then today they cut Darryl Henderson, which is kind
- 13:23Speaker 1: of surprising me, Givin Henderson playing the most. So there's
- 13:26Speaker 1: a lot of things going on in LA right now,
- 13:30Speaker 1: and I'm here for it. The Seahawks seen all they
- 13:34Speaker 1: can get. They wouldn't feel bad for us if the
- 13:36Speaker 1: Seahawks were struggling and having the same things happen. So
- 13:39Speaker 1: it's definitely different. Man. Once the targets on your back,
- 13:41Speaker 1: it's hard. I think the Rams got tons of great
- 13:44Speaker 1: football players. Obviously they won the Super Bowl last year,
- 13:47Speaker 1: but things are hard. It's hard to repeat in this league.
- 13:50Speaker 1: It's hard to going back and be competitive year in
- 13:51Speaker 1: and year out. That's what Pete and John have done
- 13:53Speaker 1: is so successful out here in Seattle and so special.
- 13:56Speaker 1: So we'll see you. We'll keep monitoring this man. But
- 13:59Speaker 1: I'm bringing the Seahawks and get a couple of wins,
- 14:01Speaker 1: and I have another huge game against the Rams, because
- 14:03Speaker 1: you're gonna have to handle business in both of those games. Well,
- 14:06Speaker 1: let's spin it back to the Las Vegas Raiders. Man up,
- 14:11Speaker 1: this man up on Hawk Talk. All right, let's look
- 14:21Speaker 1: at some of these matchups. The first one we're looking
- 14:23Speaker 1: at is the QB Derek Carr versus the Seahawks defense.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Cars not having a horrible season, but you just expected
- 14:30Speaker 1: a bit more with the weapons that he has over there.
- 14:32Speaker 1: So far this year he's two unto seventeen for three
- 14:35Speaker 1: forty two thousand and four to thirty five yards, fifteen
- 14:38Speaker 1: touchdowns and five in receptions. Not bad on paper. He's
- 14:40Speaker 1: been sacked twenty times as a QB ready up ninety
- 14:43Speaker 1: one point six That is fifteen in the NFL all right.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Where he struggled is in his completion percentage. Only sixty
- 14:50Speaker 1: two point four percent of his passes are being completed.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That is good for twenty fifth in the league. Now,
- 14:57Speaker 1: when you watch the game against the broncos's clear where
- 15:00Speaker 1: he wants to the football, and that's number seventeen. Why
- 15:03Speaker 1: wouldn't you want to throw that man the ball. The
- 15:04Speaker 1: Raiders are sixteenth in the NFL when it comes to
- 15:06Speaker 1: total offense. We talked about that earlier. They are eighth
- 15:09Speaker 1: in the NFL when it comes to passing two hundred
- 15:11Speaker 1: and thirty five yards. This is gonna be a can
- 15:15Speaker 1: you force Derek Carr to turn the ball over once
- 15:18Speaker 1: or twice in Germany? That's what I asked for. Then
- 15:20Speaker 1: we got two turnovers, but we just weren't able to
- 15:23Speaker 1: capitalize on that situation out here is just you gotta
- 15:27Speaker 1: try to limit his options. Waller's gone, Riffle's gone. You
- 15:33Speaker 1: know he's gonna toss that thing up to Davante Adams
- 15:36Speaker 1: as many times as he can. So lock him down,
- 15:40Speaker 1: bracket him, put pressure, run on the quarterback. That's another thing.
- 15:42Speaker 1: The Hops need to get back to hitting the quarterback.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I don't think they had had one quarterback hit in Germany.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Just get get to Derek Carr. He'll turn the ball
- 15:50Speaker 1: over for you, no question about it. I think you
- 15:51Speaker 1: have to. You absolutely have to because they have a
- 15:53Speaker 1: decent running game, which we'll get to in a second.
- 15:55Speaker 1: But Derek Carr, yeah, I think it's disappointing so far,
- 15:58Speaker 1: your stuff coming out of Las Vegas when Davanta Adams
- 16:01Speaker 1: was the biggest deal that thing that happened. So we'll
- 16:04Speaker 1: see what the Seahawks can do there on our side.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Gino Smith coming off a game where he struggled at times,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I think it took about a half for the Seahawks
- 16:11Speaker 1: offense to kind of really gel and once they did.
- 16:13Speaker 1: You take away the turnover. They moved the ball on
- 16:15Speaker 1: every single drive in the second half against those Buccaneers
- 16:18Speaker 1: twenty three to thirty three, two seventy five, two touchdowns
- 16:21Speaker 1: of twenty two rushing yards. And we said this in
- 16:24Speaker 1: the last podcast recapping the game in Germany, if that's
- 16:27Speaker 1: his worst game of the season, I'll sign up for
- 16:29Speaker 1: that every single day of the week. And you know
- 16:31Speaker 1: Gino's gonna bounce back strong, and I can't wait for
- 16:34Speaker 1: him to see him compete this weekend. He remains the
- 16:37Speaker 1: NFL leader in complete sent percentage of seventy two point
- 16:39Speaker 1: eight percent seventh in the NFL, and passing yards six
- 16:43Speaker 1: and passing touchdowns second in QB rating fourth in QBR,
- 16:47Speaker 1: so we still among the league's best in almost every category.
- 16:51Speaker 1: He continues to have games with multiple passing touchdowns eight
- 16:53Speaker 1: on the year, only had seven in his first nine seasons,
- 16:56Speaker 1: so he's just doing what he's doing. He's already got
- 16:58Speaker 1: a career high with seventeen asking touchdowns on the year
- 17:02Speaker 1: two thousand, four hundred seventy four yards, seventeen touchdowns, just
- 17:05Speaker 1: four interceptions. On the other side facing him, we talked
- 17:08Speaker 1: about the Raiders defense twenty seventh in total defense and
- 17:11Speaker 1: twenty fourth against the past, so they're gonna be opportunities
- 17:13Speaker 1: for Gino to do his thing. I really want to
- 17:15Speaker 1: see him get back to stuff that we've seen earlier.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Lots of boots, lots of thirteen personnel, all that good stuff.
- 17:21Speaker 1: But Gino is still slinging that rock. So I look
- 17:23Speaker 1: for him to have a monster game this weekend. YEP,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and another matchup Davante Adams versus Terik Woolin and Mike Jasson.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna slide in Trey Brown in there too. We'll
- 17:33Speaker 1: see how much of Trey Brown we see. The young
- 17:34Speaker 1: man is active. Like we mentioned Davante Adams, he was
- 17:38Speaker 1: the biggest acquisition during the offseason, him and Kirk Cousins.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Guy receivers paid all across the league, and this guy's
- 17:45Speaker 1: getting paid for reasons. He's got sixty four receptions, nine
- 17:48Speaker 1: hundred twenty five yards, ten touchdowns. He's fourth in the
- 17:51Speaker 1: NFL in receiving yards, second in touchdowns. Quiet solid season
- 17:56Speaker 1: for this guy. He also leaves the league with one
- 17:58Speaker 1: hundred and twelve targets. In the last three games, he's
- 18:00Speaker 1: been going off ten catches one forty six two touchdowns,
- 18:03Speaker 1: nine catches one twenty six one touchdowns, seven catches one
- 18:06Speaker 1: forty one and two touchdowns. The only bad side is
- 18:10Speaker 1: that he's only when you're throwing it to him. He's
- 18:12Speaker 1: only completely about fifty seven percent of his target. He's
- 18:15Speaker 1: got over like one hundred something targets and only catching
- 18:19Speaker 1: about fifty seven percent of them. So they're trying to
- 18:21Speaker 1: feed the man, and it's almost predictable. But when you
- 18:24Speaker 1: have all those other injuries, you got to feed this dude.
- 18:27Speaker 1: He accounts for thirty two percent of Derek cars attempts
- 18:30Speaker 1: this season. Why Hunter renfros down, Darren Waller's down, all right?
- 18:35Speaker 1: The renfro Red excuse me. Led the Raiders last year
- 18:38Speaker 1: and receive him one hundred three receptions, four thousand yards
- 18:40Speaker 1: and nine touchdowns. He's that slot third and short possession
- 18:44Speaker 1: type of receiver. And then twenty twenty one, Waller had
- 18:48Speaker 1: fifty five percents for six hundred and sixty five yards
- 18:50Speaker 1: and two touchdowns in eleven games, so he's definitely missing
- 18:54Speaker 1: some targets now. Mccollins is the next leading receiver this
- 18:58Speaker 1: year behind Davante Adams has thirty six receptions for four
- 19:01Speaker 1: to sixty game and two touchdowns. This would be another
- 19:04Speaker 1: test for Tariq Willin and Mike Jackson. They've seen Mike
- 19:08Speaker 1: Evans and held him to five receptions fifty four yards,
- 19:11Speaker 1: And this is a nice little little tandle man. Trek
- 19:14Speaker 1: Willin join Casey Howard and Earl Thomas as the only
- 19:18Speaker 1: player since twenty ten to have at least five interceptions
- 19:21Speaker 1: in their first ten career games. Another notch under Tariq
- 19:25Speaker 1: Willin's belt. Every other week we're talking about something he's
- 19:28Speaker 1: doing that no one else has done. And look at
- 19:31Speaker 1: the guys that they face, Bump DeAndre Hopkins, Deebo, Samuel,
- 19:35Speaker 1: Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, so they've seen it
- 19:38Speaker 1: at this point in the year. Tarika, I don't even
- 19:41Speaker 1: consider him a rookie at this point, he's a you know,
- 19:43Speaker 1: ten games in, he's a vet, and you're going up
- 19:45Speaker 1: against another one of the best receivers in the league.
- 19:47Speaker 1: So it'll be a fun thing. And he's not gonna
- 19:50Speaker 1: be getting that Sherman treatment because they're throwing the rock
- 19:53Speaker 1: at seventeen. He's gonna get fifteen targets. So I think
- 19:56Speaker 1: of all the different matchups, this is going to be
- 19:57Speaker 1: the most fun for Trike one because I think can
- 20:00Speaker 1: get tested the most. So if he locks up Davante,
- 20:03Speaker 1: if Davante has you know, under ninety yards, maybe one
- 20:07Speaker 1: or fewer touchdowns, I was gonna say something about the guy.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Terik and Mike Jackson. Also on that side of the ball.
- 20:13Speaker 1: The Raiders have a low key pretty good running game,
- 20:16Speaker 1: or at least Josh Jacob's having a good season. You know,
- 20:18Speaker 1: one hundred and eighty three carries, nine hundred and thirty yards,
- 20:21Speaker 1: seven touchdowns, averaging five point one yards per carry. He's
- 20:24Speaker 1: third in the NFL and rush yards in fifth and touchdowns,
- 20:27Speaker 1: so he's doing his thing. And the funny, not the funny,
- 20:30Speaker 1: the interesting thing about Jacob So he's in part of
- 20:31Speaker 1: that twenty nineteen draft class. That draft class produced Max Crosby.
- 20:35Speaker 1: He's balling out Hunter Runfrew's balled out for him. But
- 20:38Speaker 1: they also had three first round picks. Two of the
- 20:40Speaker 1: three did not turn back the results. The Raiders were
- 20:43Speaker 1: hoping for Clin Farrell and then Jonathan Abraham who was
- 20:46Speaker 1: just released. Actually, and here's the thing, Jacob do want
- 20:50Speaker 1: to have his third one thousand yards season, but had
- 20:52Speaker 1: his fifth year option declined, which will be interesting. So
- 20:56Speaker 1: he's dangerous bump because he's running for that paycheck and
- 21:00Speaker 1: that's and that's that's a dangerous man in the NFL. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I don't understand why they're not picking up his fifth year.
- 21:07Speaker 1: That makes no sense to me. But also know that
- 21:09Speaker 1: the Raiders are cash poor, Like even if they wanted
- 21:11Speaker 1: to hire a new coach, they couldn't do that. They've
- 21:14Speaker 1: invested a lot of money over the years, and I
- 21:15Speaker 1: think they're still paying Gruten So maybe that has something
- 21:18Speaker 1: to do with it. They gotta they gotta restructure some
- 21:20Speaker 1: stuff over there, because approaching the third thousand yards season,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I don't see why you don't keep that young man.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Let's go to Max Crosby and the Seahawks old lion.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Crosby's have him probably his best season sixty three tackles,
- 21:34Speaker 1: nine sacks, sixteen TFLs, two passes defended in two forced fumbles.
- 21:39Speaker 1: He already has a career high and tackles with sixty
- 21:41Speaker 1: three and his one sack away from his personal best
- 21:44Speaker 1: ten With seven games to play, safe to say he's
- 21:47Speaker 1: probably gonna do that. Gave Russell Wilson and numb Boys
- 21:50Speaker 1: trouble last week. Six tackles, two sacks, three QB hits
- 21:55Speaker 1: and the Raiders as a team only half thirteen sacks,
- 21:59Speaker 1: bottom of the league. All right, but Crosby has nine
- 22:02Speaker 1: of those things. So there's anybody that you need to
- 22:04Speaker 1: keep an eye on, is gonna be that guy. Crosby
- 22:09Speaker 1: is going to be a guy that you highlight, duran film,
- 22:12Speaker 1: a guy that you game plan for. He's that good, Oh,
- 22:16Speaker 1: no question about it. He remember seeing him on I
- 22:18Speaker 1: think it was it might have been his rookie year
- 22:20Speaker 1: who was on hard knocks. I think he broke his
- 22:22Speaker 1: hand that year. But it got to see that. You know,
- 22:24Speaker 1: this guy's gonna be special talent, and he's been their
- 22:26Speaker 1: most consistent pass rusher over his career. The fourth season
- 22:29Speaker 1: in Las Vegas. The other guy I thought it would
- 22:31Speaker 1: be more of a factor this year, bump is Chandler Jones. Yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 1: Jones has had over one hundred sacks in his care
- 22:37Speaker 1: eleven year career. You know this year only has point
- 22:40Speaker 1: five half a sack, twenty four tackles, one TfL. But
- 22:43Speaker 1: maybe I'm just scarred from all the time see sacked
- 22:45Speaker 1: Russell Wilson. That Chandler Jones is a dude that can
- 22:49Speaker 1: have zero Saxon come into a game and have three
- 22:52Speaker 1: So definitely not a guy you want to sleep on there.
- 22:54Speaker 1: So we'll see how the Seahawks offensive line protects. But
- 22:58Speaker 1: we know the rookie tackles have been killing the game
- 23:00Speaker 1: this year, so I expect nothing less from them. And
- 23:03Speaker 1: then the last matchup wok at Bump is Ken Walker
- 23:06Speaker 1: Raiders Front seven. Walker coming off his least productive game
- 23:09Speaker 1: as a pro, which is insane a lot because he
- 23:12Speaker 1: hasn't had that many pro games and he's balled out
- 23:14Speaker 1: in so many of them. Yeah, and it's really more.
- 23:17Speaker 1: He had seventeen yards on ten carries, and it was
- 23:20Speaker 1: less about him. It wasn't like he came in there
- 23:22Speaker 1: and just got shut down. He had twenty five carries
- 23:24Speaker 1: in twenty five yards. That wasn't the case. The Seahawks
- 23:27Speaker 1: were down. He didn't get a lot of opportunities against
- 23:30Speaker 1: the Buccaneers. You know, he's It was the first time
- 23:33Speaker 1: since becoming a starter that he had less than eighteen carries,
- 23:36Speaker 1: so I think that coincided with his production. The field
- 23:39Speaker 1: wasn't great. He's set a fast dude nibble and making
- 23:42Speaker 1: all those cuts. I feel like he was slipping and
- 23:44Speaker 1: sliding around in Germany before he could even really get going.
- 23:46Speaker 1: So I think that played a rule in that so
- 23:49Speaker 1: it'll be interesting up. But I think the Seahawks need
- 23:50Speaker 1: to get back to running the football against the Raiders,
- 23:53Speaker 1: for sure, because that's such a huge part of what
- 23:55Speaker 1: these guys do, control the clock and running the ball,
- 23:57Speaker 1: and I think they're a different looking team when they
- 23:59Speaker 1: don't do that. Yeah, man, the run sets up everything.
- 24:03Speaker 1: There's some things that are always going to be true
- 24:05Speaker 1: about football. If you run that rock efficiently, you control
- 24:09Speaker 1: the tempo. Everything else is opened up. So yes, you
- 24:12Speaker 1: gotta get back to K nine doing his thing this
- 24:15Speaker 1: year five eighty seven yards, seven touchdowns, UM his kids
- 24:19Speaker 1: on his way. I'm gonna call him kid. This young
- 24:21Speaker 1: man is on his way to the Raiders. On the
- 24:24Speaker 1: other side, they're led by UM linebackers Denzel Perriman and
- 24:28Speaker 1: the Divine Diabolo. That's that's a name for you. I
- 24:33Speaker 1: type that. I said that you should be doing something else.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Divine Diablo, Damn Diablo man, all right, I see Divine, Well,
- 24:40Speaker 1: Diablo got seventy four tackles, one tackles for a whiles,
- 24:43Speaker 1: one pass offended. Then pairman has forty six tackles, one sacks,
- 24:46Speaker 1: one sack, and nine TFLs. I mean the Hawks should
- 24:49Speaker 1: be able to control the box. They control the box,
- 24:51Speaker 1: they control the run game. I like their chances. I
- 24:54Speaker 1: absolutely like their chances to bounce back and get us
- 24:57Speaker 1: to where we want to go, path to victory. At
- 25:01Speaker 1: the forty five waits for the staff, Michael Vickson puts
- 25:04Speaker 1: it down. That kick is away. If that kick is gone,
- 25:10Speaker 1: it's gone. It's a pass to victory. On Hawk Talk,
- 25:14Speaker 1: Seahawks has got to take care of business and get
- 25:16Speaker 1: the struggling Raiders team at home. They have some really
- 25:18Speaker 1: good players we've talked about that we've gone through. We
- 25:20Speaker 1: know they can play football, but I think the Seahawks
- 25:23Speaker 1: are a better football team. I think to make the
- 25:25Speaker 1: playoffs and to maybe win the division, you got to
- 25:28Speaker 1: take care teams you're supposed to be and I think
- 25:29Speaker 1: the Raiders are one of those teams. So I think
- 25:31Speaker 1: the Seahawks is really need to It's about them this week.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You know a lot of times you worry about they
- 25:36Speaker 1: have a ton of weapons and options, like I just said,
- 25:38Speaker 1: but I think it's about them if they do what
- 25:40Speaker 1: they're capable of doing. They can win this game. Yep.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I mean they got to stop the run. Man. Josh
- 25:45Speaker 1: Jacobs cannot go loose, make them be one dimensional, make
- 25:50Speaker 1: them be predictable. In saying that, don't let Josh Jacobs
- 25:54Speaker 1: go crazy. Don't let DeVante go crazy either. He can't
- 25:56Speaker 1: have a buck fifty and a couple of touchdowns and
- 25:59Speaker 1: making us look sill out there, like you mentioned earlier,
- 26:01Speaker 1: You hold him to like round ninety yards, maybe a
- 26:04Speaker 1: touchdown or none at all. Then I think your chances
- 26:07Speaker 1: are good. But they can't all of a sudden become
- 26:10Speaker 1: a great run team. And then you can't let DeVante
- 26:13Speaker 1: do what he's been doing the last three weeks, no
- 26:15Speaker 1: question about it. I think I think some things that
- 26:18Speaker 1: will help that as the Seahawks possessing the football, how
- 26:20Speaker 1: he possess football. You run that thing, ken Walker needs
- 26:23Speaker 1: to get established early and often. A good way to
- 26:25Speaker 1: do that it's mixing some of that thirteen personnel that
- 26:27Speaker 1: we love so much. So tight ends have been in
- 26:30Speaker 1: crucial to the Seahawks success offensive this year, so I
- 26:32Speaker 1: want to see more of that. I think that's you.
- 26:34Speaker 1: The Seahawks are do that boom, mix it up, go
- 26:36Speaker 1: over the top of DK and Tyler and then things
- 26:38Speaker 1: should be looking pretty good. But it's been a minute
- 26:41Speaker 1: since we've been at home. Man, Yeah, it's been a while.
- 26:43Speaker 1: It's been like almost a month. So I'm feeling good.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I think this is I think this is the week
- 26:47Speaker 1: we get it done. Bump Let's go take care of
- 26:50Speaker 1: the house, all right, do some laundry, tidy up a
- 26:54Speaker 1: little bit. We got some guests coming over that we're
- 26:56Speaker 1: gonna smack, so let's get ready to go. You earlier
- 27:00Speaker 1: from bub Hopefully we'll be talking to you next Monday

- 27:23Speaker 1: the radio starting at ten am, looking forward to a
- 27:26Speaker 1: Seahawks victory. Until then, we'll talk to you soon.
