- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkgirl Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the hawk Girl energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday and Happy September. I am so excited to
- 0:34Speaker 1: be entering September. I think September is by far my
- 0:36Speaker 1: favorite month. Like I was thinking about this yesterday, I
- 0:39Speaker 1: was on my Hawkgirl walk and I just couldn't stop
- 0:41Speaker 1: thinking about how perfect the weather was and how it
- 0:45Speaker 1: was like kind of hot but kind of chilly, and
- 0:47Speaker 1: it just got me thinking about how I think September
- 0:49Speaker 1: is legit my favorite month of the year because technically
- 0:53Speaker 1: the weather is still giving summer. It's not fully fall yet,
- 0:56Speaker 1: Like it's still giving summer in my opinion, just.
- 0:58Speaker 2: A bit more of a breeze the morning and at night, you.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Know, things start to change a little bit with like
- 1:03Speaker 1: the leaves starting to change, and obviously, like it gets
- 1:07Speaker 1: a bit darker in the mornings, which I don't love.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I prefer you know, walking out with the sun rising
- 1:13Speaker 1: in the early mornings but hey, that's okay. I'm kind
- 1:15Speaker 1: of adjusting my schedule to adapt to my fall routine.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But all in all, the excitement around September is also
- 1:23Speaker 1: starting a new season, so we are officially starting fall.
- 1:26Speaker 1: There's so much to look forward to for the fall.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I feel like there's just so many fun things to
- 1:32Speaker 1: get excited about. And that's what I kind of wanted
- 1:34Speaker 1: to make today's episode about, was really just things to
- 1:37Speaker 1: look forward to for this new season that is about
- 1:40Speaker 1: to begin. But I don't know, I think September has
- 1:43Speaker 1: just become my favorite month and I didn't realize that
- 1:45Speaker 1: until now. And I'm just really excited for this month
- 1:50Speaker 1: of just getting everything ready for the fall season and
- 1:54Speaker 1: just like decorating, doing fall activities, just you know, getting
- 1:57Speaker 1: fall fashion started all that. I just feel like it's
- 2:00Speaker 1: a great month to look forward to. As most of
- 2:04Speaker 1: you know, I was in Italy last week. I was
- 2:06Speaker 1: away with Zach, which was a much needed trip. We
- 2:10Speaker 1: had the best time just exploring different parts of Italy.
- 2:14Speaker 1: We were in Portofino for the first four days and
- 2:17Speaker 1: then we were in Sardinia for the last eight days,
- 2:21Speaker 1: so we were there for a total of twelve days.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Perfect amount of time to be honest, like I would
- 2:26Speaker 1: not want to go longer or less, Like I personally
- 2:28Speaker 1: felt like I was ready to go by like this
- 2:31Speaker 1: last day, like I was tired. I really wanted to
- 2:34Speaker 1: see Freddy. I wanted to come home to my family.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I wanted to be back in my own bed, just
- 2:39Speaker 1: getting back into routine, going back to workout classes. Like
- 2:42Speaker 1: I think the perfect amount of time to travel is
- 2:45Speaker 1: between like the ten day and twelve day mark, just
- 2:47Speaker 1: under two weeks.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I personally find.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Two weeks a little too long for myself because I
- 2:52Speaker 1: feel like I don't know my clothes start to get dirty,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I start rewaring, you know, the same dresses that I
- 2:57Speaker 1: wore earlier in the trip, just because I try and
- 2:59Speaker 1: pass you know, smart since I obviously don't want to
- 3:03Speaker 1: be overweight, which I'm sure everyone can agree that that's
- 3:06Speaker 1: a common problem for us is having our bag overweight.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I actually ended up being underweight, which never happens. I
- 3:12Speaker 1: think it's because I had a smaller suitcase as time.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Zach wanted me to get the smaller one just so
- 3:17Speaker 1: it's easier to carry around, especially because we were jumping
- 3:19Speaker 1: from you know, different trains, different buses, and I'm sure
- 3:22Speaker 1: if you've done a European summer, then you guys know
- 3:25Speaker 1: the drill. It's not as you know, glamorized as what
- 3:29Speaker 1: you see, Like there's definitely a lot of jumping around
- 3:32Speaker 1: for transportation to get to these really magical places that
- 3:36Speaker 1: you see in Europe. But the smaller suitcase was definitely
- 3:39Speaker 1: the right move and I'm happy we did that. But
- 3:42Speaker 1: what's funny is that Zach's beg was actually heavier than
- 3:45Speaker 1: mine because for some reason, Zach thought it would be
- 3:48Speaker 1: a good idea to pack like twenty two shirts. Like
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm not even over exaggerating. He is a girl when
- 3:53Speaker 1: it comes to packing, and I find it so funny.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And you know, he always says, oh, yeah, I'm gonna
- 3:58Speaker 1: do a carry on or a dofble bang. Yeah no,
- 4:00Speaker 1: not him, Like he just goes overboard with the packing
- 4:04Speaker 1: and somehow he'll still end up forgetting something that he
- 4:07Speaker 1: wish you packed. So anyways, the fact I was underweight
- 4:10Speaker 1: compared to him was shocking, and I made it a
- 4:14Speaker 1: joke the entire.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Trip that I finally was underweight and he wasn't.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So yeah, we went to Portofino, we went to Sardinia, again,
- 4:20Speaker 1: both amazing places. Highly recommend checking those places out if
- 4:23Speaker 1: you do ever plan to go to Italy or travel
- 4:26Speaker 1: to Europe. I have linked a few of the hotels
- 4:29Speaker 1: on my Instagram highlight for Italy. I'm gonna link a
- 4:33Speaker 1: bunch of things this week too, just in terms of
- 4:35Speaker 1: like the outfits I wore, the hotels we stayed at,
- 4:37Speaker 1: all that. That way, you guys have access to all
- 4:40Speaker 1: those things, just because I know a lot of you
- 4:41Speaker 1: guys actually asked me just for like hotel links and
- 4:44Speaker 1: all that when it comes to maybe you planning your
- 4:46Speaker 1: trip or honeymoon or anything like that. So I just
- 4:49Speaker 1: want to make sure that's all there for you guys,
- 4:51Speaker 1: just because I always get a lot of questions on that.
- 4:53Speaker 2: So don't worry.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I will make sure to have everything in my Italy highlight.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That way, if you guys are looking to book a trip,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you guys can access all the details there. I also
- 5:02Speaker 1: did a YouTube blog while I was there, so if
- 5:04Speaker 1: you guys want to see kind of like the behind
- 5:05Speaker 1: the scenes of you know, hotel rooms and just kind
- 5:09Speaker 1: of like our overall trip. I will hopefully have that
- 5:11Speaker 1: vlog out before the end of this week. It was
- 5:14Speaker 1: a really fun vlog to do. I actually love my
- 5:17Speaker 1: travel vlog especially with Zach.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I think they're.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Always so fun and enjoyable to edit, just because I
- 5:23Speaker 1: get to kind of like relive the moment by you know,
- 5:25Speaker 1: looking through the footage that we got throughout the trip,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and I don't know, I feel like the travel vlogs
- 5:29Speaker 1: are always just so fun and I really really enjoy
- 5:33Speaker 1: filming vlogs whenever I'm traveling with Zach. So if you
- 5:35Speaker 1: want to subscribe to my YouTube channel and look out
- 5:37Speaker 1: for that vlog, I have it linked in the description below.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But let's get into today's episode.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Guys.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm literally so excited to talk about everything about fall,
- 5:47Speaker 1: things look forward to this month, and just things that
- 5:50Speaker 1: you're going to be doing this fall. So let's start
- 5:52Speaker 1: off with the basics, because I feel like this is
- 5:54Speaker 1: something that I always do whenever I'm entering a new season,
- 5:57Speaker 1: and I feel like you guys know this already because
- 5:59Speaker 1: I always bring it up. But going on Pinterest. Pinterest
- 6:02Speaker 1: is your best friend when it comes to going into
- 6:05Speaker 1: a new season and how you kind of envision your
- 6:07Speaker 1: season to be. So, how do you plan on dressing
- 6:10Speaker 1: for fall? How do you plan on spending your fall
- 6:13Speaker 1: days or fall weekends. Do you want to do you know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: a lot of fall activities. Do you want to go
- 6:18Speaker 1: on a fall trip? Like, using Pinterest is the best
- 6:22Speaker 1: thing that's going to help you envision your goals, your
- 6:26Speaker 1: visions in terms of how you want to see yourself
- 6:28Speaker 1: this season. And so I feel like Pinterest is just
- 6:31Speaker 1: the best place to start whenever you go into a
- 6:34Speaker 1: new season and just kind of save images that kind
- 6:36Speaker 1: of catch your eye. Right, Okay, I like this girl's
- 6:39Speaker 1: outfit for you know, maybe a fall outfit for a
- 6:41Speaker 1: special occasion maybe. You know, as I said, you plan
- 6:44Speaker 1: on going on a fall trip to New York City
- 6:46Speaker 1: maybe and you come across this really cute fall outfit.
- 6:48Speaker 1: That's an opportunity for you to save it. It kind
- 6:51Speaker 1: of gives you some outfit inspo of how you want
- 6:53Speaker 1: to dress yourself for that trip or in general for fall.
- 6:56Speaker 1: It's just the best place to go for any type
- 6:58Speaker 1: of inspiration when you're looking for inspo for anything in life.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So that's the first thing you're gonna do. You're gonna
- 7:03Speaker 1: go on pinteress. You're gonna save some fall inspo photos.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It could be baking, so maybe things that you want
- 7:08Speaker 1: to bake for the fall season. It could be things
- 7:10Speaker 1: that you want to cook, So maybe there's some fall
- 7:12Speaker 1: recipes that you come across. Again, it could be fall fashion,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it could be fall activities, it could be how you
- 7:17Speaker 1: want to decorate your house this fall. Like literally, pinters
- 7:21Speaker 1: can be used for any of those things. And another
- 7:23Speaker 1: thing I wanted to mention that I've been seeing on
- 7:25Speaker 1: my TikTok page is how people kind of see a
- 7:28Speaker 1: new season as a way to kind of get out
- 7:31Speaker 1: of a rut and kind of click the reset button,
- 7:33Speaker 1: meaning like you're kind of like rebranding yourself. So let's
- 7:37Speaker 1: say you just kind of had an off summer and
- 7:39Speaker 1: you know, you kind of feel like you just kind
- 7:41Speaker 1: of need a bit of a reset and kind of
- 7:43Speaker 1: like get back into a routine or whatever the case
- 7:46Speaker 1: may be. September is your month, Okay, September is the
- 7:49Speaker 1: start of a new season. It's a new way for
- 7:52Speaker 1: you to kind of get back into the swing of things,
- 7:54Speaker 1: rebrand yourself, get that reset button going, you know, maybe
- 7:57Speaker 1: do a bit of a house reset, getting back into
- 7:59Speaker 1: the swing of things, decorating your home maybe in a
- 8:02Speaker 1: different way to really, you know, reflect the fall season,
- 8:05Speaker 1: whatever the case may be. So take this as a
- 8:07Speaker 1: sign that if you feel like you've been off, September
- 8:10Speaker 1: is your month of your new year. Like it's a
- 8:13Speaker 1: new year starting in September till the end of the year,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you have four months to achieve your goals, and maybe
- 8:19Speaker 1: it's you know, kind of resetting goals for this month
- 8:23Speaker 1: and figuring.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Out what you want to actually achieve and.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Maybe creating a routine for yourself and all that. It's
- 8:28Speaker 1: all about just becoming the best version of yourself. Obviously,
- 8:30Speaker 1: that's what we're all about here on this podcast. But
- 8:32Speaker 1: I just wanted to make that aware that there's no
- 8:35Speaker 1: perfect time. But if you are feeling like you need
- 8:39Speaker 1: a reset or you need that motivation to get yourself
- 8:41Speaker 1: out of a rut, take this as a sign that
- 8:44Speaker 1: Fall is your reset button. Fall is the time for
- 8:46Speaker 1: you to kind of figure out your shit and just
- 8:48Speaker 1: get your shit back into gear. And this is a
- 8:51Speaker 1: season that you're going to thrive. So just wanted to
- 8:53Speaker 1: make that clear. If you're feeling a little down and
- 8:55Speaker 1: needed a bit of motivation, this is going to be
- 8:58Speaker 1: your season and you are I'm going to love every
- 9:01Speaker 1: second of it. So let's get into things that I'm
- 9:04Speaker 1: looking for to this season. The first one I'm gonna
- 9:07Speaker 1: start with because I'm probably the most excited about this,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and I think I'm gonna start doing this either tomorrow
- 9:13Speaker 1: or before the.
- 9:14Speaker 2: End of the week.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But I am going Fall decor shopping and just decorating
- 9:18Speaker 1: the house. That is the first step for me, because
- 9:21Speaker 1: I want the house to feel like pumpkins were vomited everywhere,
- 9:25Speaker 1: Like that's the best way I can to describe it.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I want pumpkin candles, I want pumpkin pillows, I want
- 9:31Speaker 1: pumpkin tea towels. I want everything in my house to
- 9:35Speaker 1: have a pumpkin. I want to decorate my front porch
- 9:37Speaker 1: in front of my house. I want to get you know,
- 9:39Speaker 1: fall inspired florals, flowers, like everything you can possibly imagine
- 9:43Speaker 1: that describes Fall. Is how I want my house to
- 9:46Speaker 1: look like in the inside. So that is the first
- 9:48Speaker 1: thing I'm doing this week is going to Fall to
- 9:50Speaker 1: core shopping. Obviously, I have a lot of decor from
- 9:53Speaker 1: last year, so I don't think I'll need too much.
- 9:55Speaker 2: But I always like.
- 9:56Speaker 1: To go to Home Sense or Winners or Michaels. If
- 9:59Speaker 1: you're in States, I'm sure you have Target or home
- 10:02Speaker 1: goods that you could find some cute fault the core pieces.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But it doesn't have to be a lot. It could
- 10:06Speaker 1: be you know, a fall scented candle. It could be
- 10:09Speaker 1: you know, a pumpkin pillow and a throat blanket. Like
- 10:12Speaker 1: just getting those little things. You could add it to
- 10:14Speaker 1: your bedroom. If you don't live in your own home
- 10:16Speaker 1: like I do, and you know you have your own
- 10:18Speaker 1: bedroom space, again, you can still decorate your bedroom making
- 10:22Speaker 1: it feel more fall. My sister obviously still lives with
- 10:25Speaker 1: my parents and she's decorating her whole entire bedroom to
- 10:28Speaker 1: reflect the fall season. So you can still do it
- 10:30Speaker 1: even if you don't own a house. Just want to
- 10:32Speaker 1: make that clear. But because I have a home, I'm
- 10:35Speaker 1: really excited to decorate my kitchen, decorate my living room.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I have cute little floating shelves in my kitchen that
- 10:41Speaker 1: I'm really excited about, just like putting pumpkins out. You know,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I have these little pumpkin coffee pod storage, so you
- 10:49Speaker 1: take off the pumpkin lids and you can put your
- 10:51Speaker 1: coffee pods in it, and I absolutely love it. I
- 10:53Speaker 1: think it's just like such a cute detail that I
- 10:55Speaker 1: get to put beside my coffee machine. And you know, obviously,
- 11:00Speaker 1: during the fall season, we love pumpkin spice anything, so
- 11:03Speaker 1: that brings me into my next point, which is getting
- 11:06Speaker 1: pumpkin coffees. I think we all know at this point
- 11:09Speaker 1: that I am obsessed with pumpkin drinks. Like Starbucks Pumpkin
- 11:13Speaker 1: Cream Cold Crew is my obsession. Like, I truly am
- 11:16Speaker 1: obsessed with that drink. I personally think it's the best
- 11:18Speaker 1: Starbucks drink that's ever been released. Like you know, I
- 11:20Speaker 1: don't really go to Starbucks during the summer or the winter.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Maybe sometimes during the Christmas season because they launched a
- 11:26Speaker 1: Christmas drinks, but I personally find the fall drinks and
- 11:29Speaker 1: the Christmas drinks are the best. Like, I don't think
- 11:31Speaker 1: anything else is worth going to Starbucks for except that.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So if you see me at Starbucks, it's usually during
- 11:37Speaker 1: the fall or Christmas season, and that is it because
- 11:40Speaker 1: I really really do enjoy those drinks that they release.
- 11:44Speaker 1: So obviously Pumpkin Cream Cold Crew is by far my favorite.
- 11:48Speaker 1: That is probably my go to drink. I did just
- 11:50Speaker 1: recently try their newest drink, which is the Pea Can
- 11:53Speaker 1: crunch Out latte. Wow, that was incredible. I highly recommend
- 11:58Speaker 1: trying that out if you haven't try that, it's definitely
- 12:01Speaker 1: more of like a caramel taste.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I would say I do like the.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Pumpkin chi, but I wouldn't say I'm a big chai person,
- 12:08Speaker 1: so I don't love it. I think I love it
- 12:09Speaker 1: just because I can taste the pumpkin in it. But
- 12:12Speaker 1: the chai I find is like very sweet. In my opinion,
- 12:15Speaker 1: I feel like I have to do like less pumps
- 12:17Speaker 1: for sure. Also for those that have asked when I
- 12:19Speaker 1: order my pumpkin cream cold brew, I just ask for
- 12:22Speaker 1: one or two shots less, so I'll either have it
- 12:24Speaker 1: like half sweet. In terms of like the shots inside
- 12:27Speaker 1: the coffee, I keep the cold phone the same just
- 12:29Speaker 1: because I feel like, you know, they don't put too
- 12:32Speaker 1: much sweetener in that, it's more the bottom of the
- 12:33Speaker 1: coffee that they put sweetener in. So if I were
- 12:36Speaker 1: to like describe the perfect order, it would be a
- 12:38Speaker 1: grande pumpkin cream cold brew with it being half sweet
- 12:41Speaker 1: is what I would typically order. But I don't usually
- 12:44Speaker 1: get that every single week. I would probably say I
- 12:46Speaker 1: get it maybe once every two to three weeks. But
- 12:48Speaker 1: when I do order a pumpkin cream cold brew. Oh
- 12:51Speaker 1: my goodness, I am like the happiest girl ever. I
- 12:54Speaker 1: want to try and recreate it here at the house.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I have tried last year, I believe, but I wasn't
- 12:59Speaker 1: using dairy milk now that I'm starting to drink dairy again,
- 13:03Speaker 1: which can we just talk about that conversation for a second,
- 13:05Speaker 1: Because I was drinking dairy the entire time in Italy
- 13:09Speaker 1: and was fine, like literally was completely fine. Then I
- 13:12Speaker 1: was drinking the milk that I had here at the
- 13:14Speaker 1: house with half oat milk, and my stomach was kind
- 13:17Speaker 1: of off.
- 13:17Speaker 2: So I'm like, what is going on?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Like why is it okay in Italy? But it's not
- 13:21Speaker 1: okay here? So I ended up taking some recommendations from
- 13:24Speaker 1: people that they recommended trying the A to milk, which
- 13:27Speaker 1: I got from farm Boy, So if you're from Ottawa,
- 13:30Speaker 1: they sell A to milk from there and I haven't
- 13:32Speaker 1: tried it yet, but I'm hoping.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'm hoping.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm hoping that it doesn't hurt my stomach so I
- 13:37Speaker 1: can be a full on dairy girl. But I've been
- 13:40Speaker 1: trying so hard to be able to consume milk.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I don't know why. It's such an issue.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But anyways, I'm hoping to recreate the pumpkin cream cold
- 13:48Speaker 1: foam here in a hopefully a healthier way by just
- 13:51Speaker 1: adding honey and maple syrup bursts like an actual, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: sugary sweetener, and then obviously adding pumpkin pure to the
- 13:59Speaker 1: mix as well.
- 13:59Speaker 2: So we'll keep you guys posted on that.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Obviously, we'll post a TikTok or an Instagram rail of
- 14:04Speaker 1: me attempting to make this at home, but I'm determined
- 14:07Speaker 1: to try it out at the house and master it
- 14:09Speaker 1: that way. It's my new go to coffee, so yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 1: obviously pumpkin spice everything when it comes to my coffee order.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I literally am obsessed with pumpkin and I also just
- 14:19Speaker 1: love like pumpkin pie during this time of the year,
- 14:21Speaker 1: or honestly just like making pumpkin anything like pumpkin soup.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I've also been wanting to make pumpkin spice bagels. You
- 14:29Speaker 1: guys know that I was obsessed with making those high
- 14:31Speaker 1: protein Greek yogurt bagels.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I'm trying to attempt to make it. Next week.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm going to try and make this pumpkin spice bagel recipe.
- 14:39Speaker 1: So hopefully that turns out. And then I also came
- 14:42Speaker 1: across a pumpkin cinnamon swirl sour dough toe. So anyways,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I have so many things that I've saved guys that
- 14:49Speaker 1: you guys are definitely gonna want to try. I'm just
- 14:51Speaker 1: getting hungry by talking about this stuff, but very much
- 14:54Speaker 1: looking forward to all those fall pumpkin baking things and
- 14:59Speaker 1: obviously coffees as well. Also, since we're on the topic
- 15:01Speaker 1: of coffee orders, I also saw someone recently order a
- 15:06Speaker 1: Macha from Starbucks and using the pumpkin cream cold foam
- 15:10Speaker 1: on top.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Of the macha.
- 15:12Speaker 1: No idea if it's good, but a lot of people
- 15:14Speaker 1: were saying it was really really good, So for someone
- 15:16Speaker 1: like me who loves pumpkin, it might actually be worth trying.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And because I've been starting to like macha, it might
- 15:23Speaker 1: be fun to try it out, so I'll let you
- 15:25Speaker 1: guys know if I try it. But definitely interesting, So
- 15:28Speaker 1: if you're a Macha lover but also love pumpkin, this
- 15:30Speaker 1: might be a drink to try out. Another thing I
- 15:32Speaker 1: love is fall candles in simmer pots. I love a
- 15:35Speaker 1: fall candle during the fall season. I love lighting them up,
- 15:39Speaker 1: usually before dinner with Zach. I feel like it just
- 15:41Speaker 1: creates a really nice ambiance. Or if I want to
- 15:43Speaker 1: have like a slow morning, lighting a candle before I
- 15:46Speaker 1: make my coffee and my breakfast, just to kind of
- 15:48Speaker 1: like set the tone, set the mood of the house.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I also love the idea of doing a simmer pot,
- 15:53Speaker 1: which is just when you buy a bunch of fruit
- 15:55Speaker 1: and spices. So I've done like orange cranberries with like
- 16:00Speaker 1: cinnamon sticks in I think it's boiling water, I want
- 16:03Speaker 1: to say, on the stove, and it just makes the
- 16:06Speaker 1: house smell like fall. It's such a fun idea to do,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and I've seen a lot of people do it on
- 16:11Speaker 1: social media and it's just a great way to make
- 16:13Speaker 1: the house feel like fall. Another thing I'm looking forward
- 16:16Speaker 1: to is warm toned bedding, meaning that you're changing up
- 16:20Speaker 1: your bedding maybe to something a bit more darker. I
- 16:23Speaker 1: actually just recently changed my bedding to dark brown and tope,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and it just really is setting the mood for fall,
- 16:30Speaker 1: Like it literally looks so good. The space just feels
- 16:34Speaker 1: like a new season has approached. Like I feel like
- 16:37Speaker 1: my summer bedding is usually like light and floral and white,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and now it's very like dark, moody fall, like just
- 16:44Speaker 1: a totally different vibe. But I just really love to
- 16:48Speaker 1: reflect a new season with like how I decorate my house.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone else likes to do that,
- 16:53Speaker 1: but I feel like it just really reflects the season
- 16:55Speaker 1: that you're in when you put the effort of decorating
- 16:58Speaker 1: your home to reflect season that's happening right now.
- 17:02Speaker 2: So that's what I do.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I feel like, for example, when you think of Christmas, obviously,
- 17:05Speaker 1: we decorate our house to reflect Christmas. So I feel like,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you know, when you're in the fallen summer, it's it
- 17:11Speaker 1: feels good to kind of, you know, match the house
- 17:14Speaker 1: with the season that we're in. So that's kind of
- 17:17Speaker 1: like how I do it. And I feel like it
- 17:18Speaker 1: feels really nice and enjoyable when you put the effort
- 17:22Speaker 1: of just kind of like reflecting your home into the season,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and it's something I look forward to doing. Oh my goodness,
- 17:28Speaker 1: this next one. I am like so excited for this.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I think this is my favorite time for fashion, and
- 17:33Speaker 1: that's fall fashion. Just shopping for like knit sweaters I love,
- 17:37Speaker 1: you know, finding new jackets like trench coats or you know,
- 17:41Speaker 1: a nice pair of boots for going out uggs season, like,
- 17:44Speaker 1: they're so much good fashion during the fall, I think
- 17:49Speaker 1: it's honestly my favorite season to actually put the effort
- 17:51Speaker 1: in my outfits. I love summer, I love a good dress.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I love, you know, just throwing on like a very
- 17:57Speaker 1: effortless outfit, But there's something about putting the effort in
- 18:00Speaker 1: your outfits during the fall. I love a good jacket.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I feel like a staple jacket in your wardrobe is
- 18:06Speaker 1: a must, just like dressing up dark denim with like
- 18:10Speaker 1: basic T shirts and then throwing on a really nice
- 18:12Speaker 1: jacket with a pair of boots like oh, I don't know,
- 18:15Speaker 1: and then like you know, having like the suede bags
- 18:18Speaker 1: and the suede shoes and boots and all that. I
- 18:21Speaker 1: think there's just something about fall fashion that hits different
- 18:24Speaker 1: compared to any other season, and it's by far my
- 18:27Speaker 1: favorite season to dress. So definitely have a lot of
- 18:30Speaker 1: fall outfit inspos that I've saved on Pinterest that I'm
- 18:33Speaker 1: really excited to recreate. I have like so many shopping
- 18:37Speaker 1: bags just sitting there with all these items that I
- 18:40Speaker 1: haven't checked out with yet, so hopefully I'll have a
- 18:43Speaker 1: fall shopping hall soon, I hope, honestly next week I'll
- 18:46Speaker 1: have a TikTok up. I've just been so busy with
- 18:48Speaker 1: catching up on work this week, and I also have
- 18:50Speaker 1: a wedding that I'm going to this weekend, so I
- 18:52Speaker 1: just haven't pulled the trigger yet when it comes to
- 18:55Speaker 1: ordering fall fashion, but definitely hoping to do that early
- 18:58Speaker 1: next week and then hopefully get the stuff and start
- 19:00Speaker 1: posting about fall fashion next week, so stay tuned for that.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I also plan to make an episode with more in
- 19:06Speaker 1: depth of things that are trending for fall, so stay
- 19:09Speaker 1: tuned for that, just in terms of like certain footwear
- 19:11Speaker 1: that I recommend buying or brands that I recommend purchasing
- 19:14Speaker 1: from for the fall season, also like specific styles of
- 19:17Speaker 1: jackets and denim and all that, So stay tuned for
- 19:20Speaker 1: that episode of just like things that will be trending
- 19:22Speaker 1: for Fall, I will do a very in depth episode
- 19:25Speaker 1: of things like that if you guys are interested in
- 19:27Speaker 1: knowing what I think is going to be.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Trending for the fall season.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Another thing I'm looking forward to is fall recipes. So
- 19:34Speaker 1: not only am I excited to make, obviously my coffees
- 19:37Speaker 1: here at home in baking. You know, a bunch of
- 19:40Speaker 1: fall goodies like deep pumpkin spice bagels and banana bread
- 19:44Speaker 1: and all that.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I'm also so.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Excited to make, like crock pot dinners, soups, stews.
- 19:50Speaker 2: You guys know that I'm obsessed with soups.
- 19:52Speaker 1: If you've been a hardcore podcast listener since the beginning,
- 19:55Speaker 1: then you know that I love making soups like it's
- 19:59Speaker 1: truly comfort meal. All I can think about is making
- 20:02Speaker 1: homemade tomato soup or butternut squash soup. Literally as soon
- 20:06Speaker 1: as the day it's officially fall, which is I think
- 20:08Speaker 1: September twenty first or September twenty second, I will be
- 20:12Speaker 1: making that as soon as it hits that date. So
- 20:14Speaker 1: we'll probably do another fall dinner series. I really enjoy
- 20:18Speaker 1: doing that. Oh my god, we failed at it this summer.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I thought we could keep at it. I think we
- 20:23Speaker 1: did maybe six recipes, which is pretty good, but we
- 20:26Speaker 1: got so busy with summer that we just kind of
- 20:29Speaker 1: slipped away from us from us doing a summer dinner series.
- 20:32Speaker 1: So hopefully with the fall, we don't really have a
- 20:35Speaker 1: busy few next months. I think the only thing that's
- 20:37Speaker 1: going to be busy for us is designing the house
- 20:39Speaker 1: and going to house appointments, which I'm very excited to
- 20:42Speaker 1: take you guys along for that. But other than that,
- 20:45Speaker 1: it's going to be being at home doing some content
- 20:47Speaker 1: for fall, and yeah, just cooking a lot of good
- 20:51Speaker 1: fall dinners, which I'm very excited about. I've definitely saved
- 20:55Speaker 1: a lot of fall recipes on Pinterest as well of
- 20:57Speaker 1: new things that I've never tried. I really want to
- 20:59Speaker 1: take it advantage of using my crockpot as much as
- 21:02Speaker 1: possible because I feel like this is prime crockpot dinner season,
- 21:07Speaker 1: so I definitely want to find a lot of recipes
- 21:10Speaker 1: for that and attempt to make chili's stews, you.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Know, dips all that.
- 21:15Speaker 1: It's also football season, so just thinking about things that
- 21:18Speaker 1: you can make with the crock pot for some football Sundays.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm just like very excited about, yeah,
- 21:25Speaker 1: entering this season. Another thing I'm looking forward to is
- 21:28Speaker 1: chilly morning walks. I actually love a breezy walk. I
- 21:31Speaker 1: don't love a winter walk. As you guys know, I'm
- 21:33Speaker 1: not a winter girl. I do not like walking in
- 21:36Speaker 1: minus twenty in the freezing cold snow. But I do
- 21:40Speaker 1: love when there is a bit of a breeze that
- 21:42Speaker 1: forces me to put on a knit or pull over
- 21:44Speaker 1: hoodie and I get to just like walk outside in
- 21:47Speaker 1: the early mornings. I also love just being able to
- 21:50Speaker 1: walk in the trails during the fall season and seeing
- 21:52Speaker 1: the leaves start to change. I think that's honestly the
- 21:55Speaker 1: most therapeutic thing is being able to see just how
- 21:59Speaker 1: the ambiyond has changed, with like the trees changing. It's
- 22:02Speaker 1: honestly so pretty and just very enjoyable to see.
- 22:06Speaker 2: And yeah, just.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Having like the breeze and all that, Like, it's just
- 22:09Speaker 1: a very different vibe that I really like and honestly
- 22:13Speaker 1: makes my morning walks more enjoyable. The only thing I
- 22:15Speaker 1: don't like about fall is how the sun rises later
- 22:19Speaker 1: in the morning, So instead of it rising at like
- 22:22Speaker 1: six am, it's now rising at like seven. So that's
- 22:25Speaker 1: kind of sad, just because I feel like I loved
- 22:27Speaker 1: doing my early morning walks with the sunrise in the morning.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So I have to change up my routine a bit,
- 22:33Speaker 1: but it's definitely something I'm still obviously incorporating because I
- 22:36Speaker 1: love my morning walks, but just have to adjust my
- 22:39Speaker 1: routine a little bit to reflect the new season. I
- 22:42Speaker 1: think everyone can agree that this is also something that
- 22:45Speaker 1: we can all enjoy for the fall season. But that
- 22:47Speaker 1: is doing funfall dates like going to a pumpkin patch,
- 22:51Speaker 1: going apple picking, Like I love doing these things, usually
- 22:55Speaker 1: with my sister or my girlfriends, just because I feel
- 22:57Speaker 1: like Zach can't appreciate things like that where it's like
- 23:00Speaker 1: going to a pumpkin patch going apple picking, Like I
- 23:02Speaker 1: feel like guys are just kind of like, oh, like whatever,
- 23:05Speaker 1: I'm here for her. I don't know if anyone else's
- 23:07Speaker 1: boyfriend or husband could agree with that of like not
- 23:10Speaker 1: wanting to do the little fall dates. Sometimes I do
- 23:13Speaker 1: tell Zach that it would be fine, Like I'm like,
- 23:16Speaker 1: you should do it with me, and he's like and
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm like come on, and he's like, okay, fine, and
- 23:19Speaker 1: he'll do it, and then he'll actually enjoy himself when
- 23:21Speaker 1: I tell him to come do it. Like. One other
- 23:23Speaker 1: thing that I'm really looking forward to doing is going
- 23:25Speaker 1: to the farmers' markets and fair. It's fair season, so
- 23:29Speaker 1: we have a little fair that we go to that's
- 23:31Speaker 1: close by to our place, and yeah, we just like
- 23:34Speaker 1: to go to the fair honestly for good food and
- 23:37Speaker 1: there's usually like live bands playing. There's obviously rides. I
- 23:41Speaker 1: don't usually go on the rides, but I really like
- 23:44Speaker 1: to go to the shops. There's like a lot of
- 23:46Speaker 1: different shops that people are selling stuff, usually like local
- 23:49Speaker 1: stuff and yeah, so it's just like a lot of
- 23:51Speaker 1: fun things to do with the fair. So it's fair
- 23:54Speaker 1: season here, which is exciting. And then also I find
- 23:58Speaker 1: visiting wineries around this time of the also really nice,
- 24:01Speaker 1: just seeing, you know, I don't know the vineyards at
- 24:04Speaker 1: this time of the years.
- 24:05Speaker 2: It's just like a different vibe I feel like in
- 24:07Speaker 2: the fall.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And I just really enjoy doing the outdoor date nights
- 24:10Speaker 1: at the vineyard, and it's something that we've done.
- 24:12Speaker 2: In the past that I really enjoy.
- 24:14Speaker 1: So those are just some fall date ideas that you
- 24:16Speaker 1: could do with a girlfriend or your husband or your boyfriend.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I think it's such a fun thing to look forward
- 24:21Speaker 2: to for the fall season.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Of course, I could keep talking about the most amazing
- 24:26Speaker 1: things when it comes to fall, but I definitely have
- 24:27Speaker 1: a lot more podcast episodes that I want to save
- 24:30Speaker 1: that for, So this will be the last one that
- 24:32Speaker 1: I share about things that I'm looking forward to, even
- 24:35Speaker 1: though there's definitely a lot more that I'm looking forward
- 24:37Speaker 1: to this season. But watching Halloween movies or fall TV shows,
- 24:42Speaker 1: let's all be honest, they hit so much different when
- 24:45Speaker 1: you're watching it, like during that season. So I think
- 24:48Speaker 1: about like Twilight for example, like I love watching Twilight
- 24:52Speaker 1: during the fall season, Like if I watch them in
- 24:54Speaker 1: the summer, it doesn't feel the same, like you have
- 24:56Speaker 1: to watch it during the fall or on a gloomy
- 24:58Speaker 1: day like something that it kind of reflects the movie,
- 25:01Speaker 1: if that makes sense. So that's something I'm looking forward
- 25:04Speaker 1: to watching obviously. Harry Potter is another good one. I
- 25:09Speaker 1: low key love like horror movies. It's kind of weird.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I don't know why I love it because usually I'm
- 25:15Speaker 1: so terrified that I don't even want to watch it,
- 25:17Speaker 1: like I'll have my eyes covered the entire time, but
- 25:20Speaker 1: I still, for some reason want to watch it. So
- 25:23Speaker 1: Halloween movies, I guess I could say that I really
- 25:25Speaker 1: enjoy watching is the Scream series. So I love watching
- 25:28Speaker 1: the Scream movies or Halloween with Michael Myers. I always
- 25:32Speaker 1: watch that with my dad or Zach and I don't know,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I just enjoy being terrified. It's so weird to me,
- 25:38Speaker 1: but I actually love the thrill of it. Then for
- 25:41Speaker 1: TV shows, I really like to watch One Tree Hill.
- 25:44Speaker 1: That's what Zach and I watched this time last year.
- 25:46Speaker 1: It is such a good series. If you haven't seen it,
- 25:49Speaker 1: love Wintree Hill, or if you need to rewatch it,
- 25:52Speaker 1: recommend it.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I think it's on Amazon Prime.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Vampire Diaries I just also watched that last year, so
- 25:58Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't rewatch that. I to find TV
- 26:00Speaker 1: show to watch right now, So if you have any
- 26:02Speaker 1: recommendations for the fall season, please let me know. I
- 26:05Speaker 1: was thinking Supernatural, but Zach and I tried to watch
- 26:09Speaker 1: that two years ago and I think only got through
- 26:12Speaker 1: like the first two seasons and then kind of got
- 26:13Speaker 1: bored of it. But I want something that's reflected for
- 26:16Speaker 1: this season. So I like Wintrey Hill, I like Vampire Diaries.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I've also been thinking about rewatching Pretty Little Liars, like
- 26:24Speaker 1: that could be something that also reflects the fall season
- 26:27Speaker 1: because it's during school year, kind of spooky Halloween. I
- 26:31Speaker 1: feel like Pretty Little Liars gives fall for sure. Obviously
- 26:34Speaker 1: everyone loves Gilmore Girls. I personally couldn't get into it.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I tried so hard. I watched like the first few
- 26:39Speaker 1: episodes and I don't know why I couldn't get into it,
- 26:42Speaker 1: but I really want.
- 26:43Speaker 2: To like it.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I just don't know why I can't get into it.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Maybe I need to go and just like watch a
- 26:48Speaker 1: different season to get into it.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Let me know your recommendations, but if you have any
- 26:53Speaker 1: good TV shows that you think I should watch, or
- 26:55Speaker 1: maybe it's something that I've already watched that I will rewatch,
- 26:58Speaker 1: let me know, because I really want to find a
- 27:00Speaker 1: good TV show to binge.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Throughout the fall season.
- 27:03Speaker 1: All right, guys, Well that is today's episode. I really
- 27:06Speaker 1: wanted to obviously share more, but I definitely have other
- 27:09Speaker 1: episodes that I'm going to share with you guys when
- 27:10Speaker 1: it comes to fall trends just kind of like a
- 27:13Speaker 1: fall bucket list all that, you guys know. The drill
- 27:15Speaker 1: just like my favorite things to really look forward to.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I'm very excited about the fall episodes. I know you
- 27:20Speaker 1: guys are excited as well. It's probably my favorite time
- 27:23Speaker 1: of the year to also record podcast episodes, just because
- 27:26Speaker 1: I am so obsessed with this season that I just
- 27:28Speaker 1: get so excited talking about it and just yeah, looking
- 27:32Speaker 1: forward to so many fun things.
- 27:34Speaker 2: But I do think as we get.
- 27:36Speaker 1: More into the fall season, they'll be more to talk
- 27:38Speaker 1: about and just like stuff I'm seeing through social media
- 27:41Speaker 1: and all that, I just like love to share everything
- 27:44Speaker 1: with you guys and give you guys all the inspo.
- 27:46Speaker 1: And yeah, I just really really enjoy recording these episodes.
- 27:50Speaker 1: But I love you guys also much. Thank you guys
- 27:52Speaker 1: for listening to another episode. If you guys are new,
- 27:55Speaker 1: definitely make sure to follow at the Hawk Grow.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Energy Instagram page.
- 27:58Speaker 1: You can also follow the host, Kaylee, which is me.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I'm on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. But I love you
- 28:04Speaker 1: guys allso much. Thank you guys for listening to another episode,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and I will see you guys in next week's episode.
