Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hey there, everybody.
- 0:11Speaker 2: This is Bird's Weekly, our preview edition as Eagles get
- 0:14Speaker 2: ready to take on the high power Detroit Lions and
- 0:16Speaker 2: Lincoln Financial Field on a Sunday night. And rate the
- 0:19Speaker 2: Lions coming here the six and three. I'm surprised they've
- 0:22Speaker 2: lost three games, but they're four to one in a row.
- 0:24Speaker 2: They won three in a row. They have the number
- 0:27Speaker 2: six offense in the National Football League, the number seven
- 0:30Speaker 2: defense in the National Football League. And this is the team,
- 0:35Speaker 2: one of those few teams in the NFC we're gonna
- 0:37Speaker 2: have to watch closely as team's jockey for position to
- 0:41Speaker 2: the stretch run. And I can't emphasize enough how huge
- 0:45Speaker 2: this game is for the Eagles in terms of that
- 0:48Speaker 2: all important seating.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It is it is, And we looked at this during
- 0:54Speaker 1: the bye, how important these two games were Green Bay
- 0:58Speaker 1: and Detroit, teams that are right there, right there with you, uh,
- 1:03Speaker 1: in the standings, and teams that looking down the road.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It's at this point, it's it's really all about the
- 1:10Speaker 1: seeding of stuff and the way things are now. There's
- 1:12Speaker 1: only one buy uh, and you look at what this
- 1:15Speaker 1: what the NFC is going to be like going into
- 1:18Speaker 1: the postseason with with with all of those teams, how
- 1:21Speaker 1: closely bunched they all are getting that if you can
- 1:24Speaker 1: get that number one seed this year, minute that that
- 1:26Speaker 1: is going to be huge. And the Lions are right
- 1:29Speaker 1: there with you. And I think in most people's reckoning,
- 1:32Speaker 1: if you look at the power rankings now coming coming
- 1:35Speaker 1: off this weekend's games, sure it's you know, it's Eagles
- 1:39Speaker 1: Lions right there at the top. I mean, they're they're
- 1:41Speaker 1: right there as the Packers were last week. Well, the
- 1:43Speaker 1: Eagles took care of the Packers, and now you got
- 1:46Speaker 1: the Lions. And even though you're playing them in Philly,
- 1:49Speaker 1: where the Eagles are very good, the Lions are a
- 1:52Speaker 1: real challenge. They they really are there. They're a very
- 1:55Speaker 1: well balanced team. Uh They're they're good on offense, good
- 1:58Speaker 1: on defense. And their offenses you know, got Jared Gobbs
- 2:01Speaker 1: completing almost seventy five percent of his passes. Yes, Jamier
- 2:04Speaker 1: Gibbs average him a five yards carry. They're they're really good.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I mean, their offensive line is one of the best
- 2:13Speaker 1: it did. And they're you know, they made some changes.
- 2:16Speaker 1: They lost some guys, they had to bring in some
- 2:17Speaker 1: new guys, and I wondered because their their offensive line.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Last year I thought was right there with the Eagles
- 2:22Speaker 1: in terms of being the best in the league. They
- 2:24Speaker 1: lost a couple of guys, they had to make some changes.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I wondered if they were going to be as good,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and they are. They're not. They're not missing a beat.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And I know coming off that was a bitter loss
- 2:35Speaker 1: for the Lions to the Vikings. They they shouldn't have
- 2:38Speaker 1: lost that game. They know that. And coming off that game,
- 2:42Speaker 1: Dan Campbell said he was very unhappy and said, I'm
- 2:44Speaker 1: going to take over the play calling. Yeah, And they
- 2:48Speaker 1: went out and they dropped forty four the on Washington
- 2:50Speaker 1: Commanders here and right now they're they've scored almost three
- 2:55Speaker 1: hundred points, so I think got like two nine point
- 2:57Speaker 1: or something. So what you said, exactly right, This ain't
- 3:01Speaker 1: going to be a ten to seveny eight. I mean,
- 3:03Speaker 1: he was going to win this one to run out
- 3:05Speaker 1: to score more than ten points.
- 3:06Speaker 2: You know, a lot of times when head coaches decided
- 3:09Speaker 2: to take over the play calling, you know, it works
- 3:11Speaker 2: for some, it doesn't work for others. And a little
- 3:14Speaker 2: bit shocking that for a team that was averaging over
- 3:16Speaker 2: thirty points the head coach decides he's taking over the
- 3:19Speaker 2: play calling, and lo and behold, they go out and
- 3:21Speaker 2: put up forty four on Washington. Your thoughts on Dan
- 3:25Speaker 2: Campbell as a play caller. He's a great motivator, His
- 3:31Speaker 2: players believe in him, they trust him in a lot
- 3:34Speaker 2: of ways. But he stepped up and took over, and man,
- 3:39Speaker 2: did he enhance that offense two folds. Now. Granted, Washington's
- 3:43Speaker 2: not a juggernaut, but still, you put up forty four
- 3:46Speaker 2: points on anybody in the National Football League, you have
- 3:48Speaker 2: more than done your job for that particular day.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Pretty impressive. And the thing about Dan Campbell is I
- 3:57Speaker 1: think there's a perception of him as as what you said,
- 4:03Speaker 1: as a motivator, a tough guy, a guy that kind
- 4:07Speaker 1: of creates a culture for a team. I mean, he's
- 4:11Speaker 1: a little bit I don't want to make this sound critical.
- 4:14Speaker 1: He comes off as a little bit like a caricature
- 4:18Speaker 1: of like, you know, like like your tough guy, super
- 4:21Speaker 1: macho coach and a guy that gets his team ready
- 4:24Speaker 1: to play and the guys love to play for him
- 4:26Speaker 1: and all that stuff, which is all true. But I
- 4:29Speaker 1: think he's a little bit underrated in terms of his
- 4:31Speaker 1: football IQ. I think what happens sometimes and we've seen
- 4:36Speaker 1: this now over time, is when he gets real involved
- 4:39Speaker 1: in the x's and o's of it. Sometimes he is
- 4:43Speaker 1: so hyper aggressive that sometimes he makes decisions about going
- 4:47Speaker 1: for it when he maybe shouldn't going for two when
- 4:50Speaker 1: maybe it'd be smarter than taking one. He can get
- 4:53Speaker 1: caught up in the emotion of the game. But there
- 4:57Speaker 1: was not an evidence against Washington. I mean, I thought
- 5:00Speaker 1: it was a very controlled, very smart, extremely well called
- 5:03Speaker 1: game on his part, and I'm expecting him to come
- 5:08Speaker 1: in and be a real tough out for the Eagles.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I really am.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Jared Goff, we've seen him over time. We know that
- 5:15Speaker 1: he is a very accurate passer and somewhat similar to
- 5:21Speaker 1: Love in the sense that if you don't get pressure
- 5:24Speaker 1: on him and he gets feeling comfortable and settles into
- 5:27Speaker 1: the pocket, he can pick you apart. So I think
- 5:31Speaker 1: the Eagles game plan in this is going to be
- 5:33Speaker 1: very much what it was in Lambeau, which is we
- 5:35Speaker 1: got to get pressure every time on every plas, not
- 5:40Speaker 1: just selectively here and there. Pressure room, but you've got
- 5:43Speaker 1: to get people around him, bothering him, moving them, hurrying him.
- 5:47Speaker 1: If you do that, you can control Jared Goff but
- 5:49Speaker 1: if you let him get comfortable, he could be a
- 5:51Speaker 1: real problem.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You know you had mentioned Jamiir Kibbs gives a few
- 5:55Speaker 2: moments ago, and I will argue with anybody. I think
- 5:58Speaker 2: that the Lions have the best one to running attack
- 6:01Speaker 2: in the National Football League with Gibbs and David Montgomery.
- 6:04Speaker 2: You look at the numbers. You know, Gibbs the loan
- 6:06Speaker 2: is one hundred and twenty eight carries six hundred and
- 6:08Speaker 2: ninety five yards five point four yards per carry eight
- 6:11Speaker 2: rushing testdowns. Montgomery one hundred four carries four hundred and
- 6:16Speaker 2: sixty plus yards four and a half yards to carry
- 6:18Speaker 2: five testdowns. They have thirteen rushing testdowns. Those two guys
- 6:22Speaker 2: have combined for all thirteen rushing testdowns. You want to
- 6:26Speaker 2: talk about mister inside and mister outside, these two are it?
- 6:30Speaker 1: Yeah, they are, they are. It really is kind of
- 6:34Speaker 1: the thunder lightning kind of combination.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yep.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I mean. Montgomery is a tough, hard nosed inside runner
- 6:41Speaker 1: who breaks tackles and gets you every inch plus some
- 6:47Speaker 1: every time he carries the ball. And Gibbs is a
- 6:50Speaker 1: constant breakaway threat. You know, if you miss one tackle,
- 6:53Speaker 1: you miss you missed one tackle on him, he's gone,
- 6:57Speaker 1: and that's They are a very tough duel set of
- 7:00Speaker 1: running backs and Eagles are going to have to I mean,
- 7:04Speaker 1: this is this is going to be a game where
- 7:06Speaker 1: you're gonna have to tackle really well. I mean, and
- 7:08Speaker 1: but the Eagles right now, with the way their defense
- 7:11Speaker 1: played in Green Bay, uh and with some of the
- 7:13Speaker 1: reinforcements they've got here now and playing the way they're playing, Yeah,
- 7:18Speaker 1: I think that that's going to be the challenge. But
- 7:20Speaker 1: I think they have the guys to do it. But
- 7:21Speaker 1: you can't you can't ever relax with this team. I mean,
- 7:25Speaker 1: they're gonna they're gonna play a sixty minutes and they
- 7:29Speaker 1: know how big this game is. And you know, I
- 7:31Speaker 1: know the Eagles have a big home field advantage at
- 7:34Speaker 1: the Link and it's it's a tough way. We said
- 7:37Speaker 1: it a million times. It's a really tough place for
- 7:39Speaker 1: visiting teams to come in and deal with the stadium,
- 7:42Speaker 1: deal with the crowd, deal with the emotion, deal with
- 7:44Speaker 1: the noise, all that stuff. And it's all true, it's
- 7:47Speaker 1: all on the record with the Eagles, they like never
- 7:49Speaker 1: lose it home. But you know what, that actually sort
- 7:52Speaker 1: of plays into the hands of a coach like Dan Campbell,
- 7:56Speaker 1: because because his message to his team all this week
- 8:00Speaker 1: is going to be built around exactly that. In other words,
- 8:04Speaker 1: everybody says it is the toughest stadium in the league
- 8:06Speaker 1: to go in for a visiting team to go win
- 8:08Speaker 1: a winning game, that these are the toughest fans, and
- 8:11Speaker 1: is the toughest town, and you know, but we're gonna
- 8:13Speaker 1: go in and we're gonna show them that we're tougher that.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I mean, this is exactly This is the golf ball
- 8:18Speaker 1: sitting on the tee for Dan Campbell. Is are all
- 8:21Speaker 1: of these elements about where if the game boils down
- 8:25Speaker 1: to who's the toughest, We're going to be the toughest.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That's that's going to be his message to his team.
- 8:30Speaker 1: And listen, these guys buy in with him, I mean,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and they they play hard for him, and so this
- 8:37Speaker 1: is going to be a really, really tough game. And
- 8:40Speaker 1: when you look at the big picture of the NFC
- 8:42Speaker 1: right now, the Eagles Allions are right there. I Mean,
- 8:45Speaker 1: if you if you ask me who are the best
- 8:47Speaker 1: teams in the NFC right now, I would probably tell
- 8:50Speaker 1: you Eagles, Lions, Rams, and I think they're the three
- 8:54Speaker 1: best teams. Uh and okay, well you've already dealt with
- 8:57Speaker 1: the Rams, but now you've got you know, now you've
- 9:01Speaker 1: got these guys coming in and this one isn't going
- 9:03Speaker 1: to be easy. Plus I'm sure there's a thing, an
- 9:05Speaker 1: element in the Lions' minds that this is the team
- 9:08Speaker 1: we should have been playing last year, yes, to go
- 9:11Speaker 1: to the super Bowl, you know, and we screwed up.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We lost a game we shouldn't have lost. Well, we
- 9:15Speaker 1: just paid them back beating Washington. We just paid them
- 9:19Speaker 1: back with what we did on Sunday. Now, let's go
- 9:22Speaker 1: get Philadelphia and show the show people who who the
- 9:25Speaker 1: real power of the NFC is. That's going to be
- 9:28Speaker 1: the message that's being delivered out in Detroit. And this
- 9:31Speaker 1: is the team that's going to come in here on
- 9:33Speaker 1: Sunday absolutely ready to play.
- 9:35Speaker 2: You know, you mentioned golf a little while ago, and
- 9:39Speaker 2: you know, everybody's talking about Matthew Stafford is having an
- 9:42Speaker 2: MVP type season and rightfully so. But I believe Jared
- 9:47Speaker 2: Goff should be also included in that conversation. I mean,
- 9:50Speaker 2: the man has he's completing, like you said, just under
- 9:53Speaker 2: seventy five percent of his passes twenty touchdown passes already
- 9:57Speaker 2: and only three interceptions in a one to seventeen to
- 9:59Speaker 2: seven QB rating.
- 10:01Speaker 1: If anybody's If anybody's hot right.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Now in terms of playing football, this guy, Jared Golf
- 10:07Speaker 2: is on a roll right now.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It is, and it's it is funny how it wasn't
- 10:13Speaker 1: all that long ago. Jeez, maybe it was that long ago,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you know, but you look back when when it was
- 10:21Speaker 1: GoF Wentz were the top two guys coming out in
- 10:24Speaker 1: that draft. They're won two, uh, and you know, Golf
- 10:29Speaker 1: goes to the Rams, Wentz comes to Philadelphia, Wentz has
- 10:32Speaker 1: the great season. You know, Golf sort of goes in
- 10:35Speaker 1: the tank. Uh, And people were thinking, you know, maybe
- 10:39Speaker 1: Golf's a bus you know, out of those two guys.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You know, when's this guy guy, when's the guy that's
- 10:44Speaker 1: going to go on to start him? You know, when's
- 10:47Speaker 1: is the guy that's going to be the franchise guy.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And Jared Goff is the guy who didn't quite pan out,
- 10:53Speaker 1: got to a Super Bowl with the Rams, played very poorly,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and then the team kind of rote him off, you know,
- 10:58Speaker 1: and then they traded them off to Detroit. And I
- 11:01Speaker 1: don't think anybody thought that he was going to go
- 11:03Speaker 1: there and resurrect himself. Yeah, but he did, and now
- 11:08Speaker 1: he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league and
- 11:10Speaker 1: he's playing extremely well.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Now.
- 11:13Speaker 1: The book on him has always been, and I suspect
- 11:16Speaker 1: will always be that he's a guy that doesn't handle
- 11:18Speaker 1: pressure all that great, right, that the pressure around him
- 11:24Speaker 1: bothers him and throws him off his game. Well, you
- 11:26Speaker 1: can say that about a lot of quarterbacks, but it
- 11:28Speaker 1: certainly is true with him. And if the Eagles are
- 11:30Speaker 1: going to win this game on Sunday, they're going to
- 11:33Speaker 1: have to do that. I mean they're going to kind
- 11:34Speaker 1: of have to do to him what they did to
- 11:37Speaker 1: Jordan Love out in Green Bay, which is just get
- 11:39Speaker 1: constant pressure on him all the time. Speed him up,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you know, don't give them time to see the field
- 11:45Speaker 1: or deliver the ball and set his feet. Because if
- 11:48Speaker 1: he can do that and he gets and he is
- 11:50Speaker 1: the ultimate rhythm quarterback, if you let him find a rhythm,
- 11:54Speaker 1: you can have a real long day on your hands.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Hey, it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have a family

- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, people wonder how do you stop this
- 14:38Speaker 2: Detroit Detroit offense? But Green Bay season opener held them
- 14:41Speaker 2: to thirteen You kind of throw that one out of
- 14:43Speaker 2: the window because in a season open and nobody's where
- 14:46Speaker 2: you think they're going to be. After four or five
- 14:49Speaker 2: games into a season. Kansas City held them to seventeen points,
- 14:52Speaker 2: and then the Vikings in Detroit held them to twenty
- 14:55Speaker 2: four points, you know, which is well below their average
- 14:57Speaker 2: of thirty one point four points a game. This offense
- 15:01Speaker 2: can be negated, but man, with the weapons they have
- 15:04Speaker 2: and Jamison Williams Sanda, it's not an easy task to
- 15:10Speaker 2: stop this offense by any stretch of the imagination.
- 15:13Speaker 1: No, No, they do have a lot of weapons, and
- 15:15Speaker 1: they and they run the ball really well, and they'll
- 15:18Speaker 1: run it in any situation. And and Gibbs is he is.
- 15:23Speaker 1: He is really explosive. I mean he doesn't he doesn't
- 15:26Speaker 1: need much to turn five yards into forty yards, you know.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I mean he's so tackling, which the Eagles did extremely
- 15:34Speaker 1: well on Lambeau. I mean they were around the football
- 15:37Speaker 1: and they were tackling all night long. Well, they're going
- 15:39Speaker 1: to have to do all of that on Sunday to
- 15:41Speaker 1: control that running game because if the Lions. We've talked
- 15:43Speaker 1: a lot about golf, and obviously you need to because
- 15:46Speaker 1: he's playing that well, but the Lions are capable of
- 15:50Speaker 1: winning a game on the ground if they have to,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and so this is going to be you know, Vic
- 15:55Speaker 1: Fangio had a great game Monday night against in Lambeau.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I mean that was that was a that was a
- 16:01Speaker 1: masterpiece that Vic painted on Monday night against the Packers.
- 16:05Speaker 1: But he didn't have any time to celebrate on that
- 16:08Speaker 1: flight home because I guarantee once he got on that
- 16:10Speaker 1: plane and the wheels came up and they headed out
- 16:12Speaker 1: of Lambo, he was thinking about the Detroit Lions because
- 16:15Speaker 1: he knows the threat that they represent. So you know,
- 16:18Speaker 1: Vic's not gonna He's gonna have He's going to be
- 16:20Speaker 1: up late this week too. Trying to figure out a
- 16:22Speaker 1: plan to control that offense.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Well, not just that, because you know, you look at
- 16:26Speaker 2: Green Bay's offense is a very bland offense and in
- 16:30Speaker 2: some ways a very predictable offense. But here comes like
- 16:33Speaker 2: a circus offense. They love to run their Gadget place.
- 16:37Speaker 2: And as much as we are fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, Ray,
- 16:40Speaker 2: I'm also a fan of of football and especially teams
- 16:44Speaker 2: and individuals that excel. And this team, you know, we
- 16:47Speaker 2: always we always have a wild factor when it comes
- 16:51Speaker 2: to Kansas City when it comes to their type of
- 16:53Speaker 2: gadget place.
- 16:54Speaker 1: But this team takes Gadget Place to a whole new level. Yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and they'll do it, do it anytime anywhere there they are.
- 17:04Speaker 1: They're they're very They're they're unpredictable, you know, I mean,
- 17:11Speaker 1: they're they're a team. If you look in terms of
- 17:13Speaker 1: their personnel, you would think they would be a very formulaic,
- 17:16Speaker 1: kind of high percentage, do the smart thing kind of offense,
- 17:20Speaker 1: and they do most of the time. But because because
- 17:24Speaker 1: it's Dan Campbell and the way he approaches things, and
- 17:27Speaker 1: especially now with him having a big hand in the
- 17:29Speaker 1: play calling, Yeah, they're they're going to hit you with
- 17:33Speaker 1: a couple of plays that are going to be like
- 17:35Speaker 1: what was that, you know, and they're going to do
- 17:38Speaker 1: it at times you don't expect. They're going to do
- 17:40Speaker 1: it from places on the field that you don't expect.
- 17:43Speaker 1: But for that very reason is why they why they
- 17:47Speaker 1: succeed a lot of times. And so yeah, you have
- 17:49Speaker 1: to be prepared for all that. I mean, you have
- 17:51Speaker 1: to be prepared for the basics. You have to prepare
- 17:53Speaker 1: for the fundamental, basic things that they execute well, and
- 17:57Speaker 1: they do, but they're also going to throw in a
- 17:59Speaker 1: couple of those other plays that from from the back
- 18:03Speaker 1: of the playbook that they're just going to dust off
- 18:05Speaker 1: and run out there and just take a shot, and
- 18:08Speaker 1: they hit a high percentage of them. That's why they
- 18:10Speaker 1: were a real challenging team to play. And the other
- 18:12Speaker 1: part they play hard. I mean they they you, they
- 18:17Speaker 1: come at you the whole time, and and they bring
- 18:19Speaker 1: and they bring it for sixty minutes. So this is
- 18:21Speaker 1: going to be a game. If the Eagles are going
- 18:22Speaker 1: to win this one, they're going to have to play.
- 18:25Speaker 1: They're gonna have to play really, really good. Because you
- 18:27Speaker 1: were mentioning the Packers, you know, the Packers. And I'm
- 18:31Speaker 1: not trying to take anything away from what the Eagles
- 18:33Speaker 1: defense didn't They great, But the Packers were missing a
- 18:38Speaker 1: lot of players in their offense. I mean, they were
- 18:40Speaker 1: really short on weapons, especially in the passing game. And
- 18:44Speaker 1: that's not going to be the case with Detroit. I mean,
- 18:46Speaker 1: Detroit's got all of their guys plus now on the
- 18:49Speaker 1: other side of the ball, we haven't even talked about
- 18:50Speaker 1: the defense. Is Aiden Hutchinson's back now, and so I
- 18:54Speaker 1: mean they're going to be They're strong on both sides
- 18:57Speaker 1: of the ball, and like they know what this means.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I mean, if they for them to come in here
- 19:02Speaker 1: and beat the Eagles in Philly and become the number
- 19:05Speaker 1: one seat, which they probably would at that point, this
- 19:08Speaker 1: would be a huge statement game for that.
- 19:11Speaker 2: You know, here's another defense coming in rugged like Green Bays.
- 19:15Speaker 2: They have thirty quarterback sacks and the guy you just mentioned,
- 19:19Speaker 2: Aiden Hutchinson has seven of them. They bring they like
- 19:23Speaker 2: to play physical football like Green Bay also. So I
- 19:27Speaker 2: am so intrigued by seeing this Eagles offensive line that
- 19:30Speaker 2: likes them all people when they get it going, and
- 19:33Speaker 2: this Detroit defensive front that loves them all people as well.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be one of the more intriguing
- 19:39Speaker 2: matchups we see with the Philadelphia Eagles and an opponent
- 19:42Speaker 2: this season.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Yep, I agree. And you know the Eagles have for
- 19:49Speaker 1: what it's worth. I mean, it's a short week for them.
- 19:51Speaker 1: You know, you played a Monday night game on the road. Yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 1: you got to travel back, and yeah, that's one last
- 19:57Speaker 1: day you had to prepare for a team that's not
- 19:59Speaker 1: easy to prepare for. So yeah, the Eagles have the
- 20:03Speaker 1: home field advantage, but they're dealing with a very dangerous opponent.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Hey, right before I let you go, you have a
- 20:10Speaker 2: big event coming up in a couple of weeks from now.

- 22:32Speaker 3: one and up.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Let's got a tough game. I haven't picked against the
- 22:41Speaker 1: Eagles yet this year, yeah.
- 22:44Speaker 2: And.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'm probably not this week. I mean, they're they're tough
- 22:53Speaker 1: to beat at home, but I think this is going
- 22:56Speaker 1: to be I think it's gonna be a really rough one,
- 23:00Speaker 1: and the Lions can score, and they can score fast.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I mean, this isn't gonna be again. It's not gonna
- 23:04Speaker 1: be ten to seven. I'm gonna say Eagles.
- 23:13Speaker 2: A man after my own heart because I'm thinking the
- 23:15Speaker 2: same thing. If they could barely score seven points at Lambeau.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Detroit's tying to give up that much more, although they
- 23:22Speaker 2: did give up twenty seven to Minnesota at home. But
- 23:26Speaker 2: I don't think the Eagles defense, as good as that
- 23:29Speaker 2: defense is, is gonna hold the likes of that Detroit
- 23:32Speaker 2: offense to seven points. I'm right there with you, Ray,
- 23:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna duplicate it with you. I'm gonna say also,
- 23:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna say twenty one to twenty. I was gonna
- 23:39Speaker 2: say twenty three to twenty. But the more I think
- 23:41Speaker 2: about it, I think the Eagles win is twenty one
- 23:43Speaker 2: to twenty, and I think they win it because Detroit
- 23:46Speaker 2: is gonna miss a late field goal that cost them
- 23:49Speaker 2: the game. This Eagles team has been riding Lady Luck
- 23:52Speaker 2: for so long this season. They've played some good, opportunistic football,
- 23:55Speaker 2: let's face it, but they've been riding Lady Lucky. I
- 23:58Speaker 2: think Lady Luck is gonna shine on them one more time.
- 24:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 24:02Speaker 2: That's going to wrap up this edition of Birds Weekly,
- 24:05Speaker 2: the preview edition, as the Eagles get ready to take
- 24:08Speaker 2: on the Detroit Lions come Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field,
- 24:12Speaker 2: And of course we will be right back here to
- 24:13Speaker 2: talk about it. When that game is all set and done,
- 24:16Speaker 2: So next until next time. For my colleague and friend
- 24:18Speaker 2: Ray Dinger, I'm Derek Gutt,
