  Words that bring life. Have you ever replayed something
• 0:14
  someone said to you and realized it stuck longer than you
• 0:17
  expected? Maybe it was a compliment that
• 0:21
  lifted you when you were low, or maybe it was a careless comment
• 0:24
  that cut deeper than the person ever knew.
• 0:27
  Words have a way of lingering. They don't just pass through the
• 0:30
  air. They settle in hearts.
• 0:32
  They shape confidence. They influence direction.
• 0:36
  Proverbs chapter 10, verses 11 to 12 reminds us just how
• 0:39
  powerful our words are. It says the mouth of the
• 0:43
  righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked
• 0:46
  conceals violence. Hatred stirs up strife, but love
• 0:50
  covers all offenses. A fountain of life doesn't just
• 0:54
  help one person, it keeps flowing.
• 0:56
  It refreshes again and again. God is saying that when our
• 1:00
  hearts are aligned with Him, our words can become a source of
• 1:03
  encouragement, healing, and hope to the people around us.
• 1:08
  But when words are driven by anger, bitterness, or pride,
• 1:11
  they stir conflict and leave damage behind.
• 1:14
  We see this truth lived out in Acts chapter 8.
• 1:18
  The believers had just gone through intense persecution.
• 1:21
  They were scattered from their homes, their routines, their
• 1:24
  sense of safety. If anyone had a reason to
• 1:27
  complain, to stay silent, or to lash out, it was them.
• 1:31
  But Acts chapter 8, verses 4 to 5 tell us that those who were
• 1:35
  scattered went about preaching the word.
• 1:38
  Philip went down to Samaria and proclaimed the Christ.
• 1:41
  Instead of letting hardship poison their words, they let
• 1:43
  God's love shape them. Think about that.
• 1:46
  Pain didn't mute their faith. Pressure didn't silence their
• 1:50
  witness. Their words carried life.
• 1:52
  Because their hearts were anchored in hope.
• 1:54
  And because Philip spoke about Jesus, an entire city was
• 1:57
  impacted. Joy replaced fear.
• 2:01
  Light broke Into Darkness. All because someone chose to use
• 2:04
  their voice for God instead of using it to vent, attack, or
• 2:08
  withdraw. This challenges us in very
• 2:10
  practical ways. The way you talk to your family
• 2:14
  when you're tired. The tone you use online when you
• 2:17
  disagree. The words you choose when
• 2:19
  someone annoys you or hurts you. Every conversation is an
• 2:22
  opportunity. You can stir strife, or you can
• 2:26
  cover with love. You can drain life, or you can
• 2:28
  become a fountain of it. God isn't asking you to have
• 2:31
  perfect words, He's inviting you to have a transformed heart.
• 2:36
  When love leads, words follow. And when Jesus fills your life,
• 2:40
  your voice becomes a tool for healing, courage, and truth in a
• 2:43
  world that desperately needs it. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for the power you've placed in
• 2:49
  words. Forgive me for the times I've
• 2:51
  spoken out of anger, frustration, or carelessness.
• 2:55
  Shape my heart so that my words become a fountain of life to the
• 2:59
  people around me. Teach me to respond with love
• 3:02
  instead of stirring conflict, and give me courage to use my
• 3:05
  voice to point others to Jesus. Let my words bring hope,
• 3:09
  healing, and light wherever I go.

  that great power of God. They listened to him because for

  a long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.

  But when they believed Philip preaching good news concerning

  God's Kingdom and the name of Jesus Christ, they were

  baptized, both men and women. Simon himself also believed

  being baptized. He continued with Philip, seeing

  signs and great miracles occurring, he was amazed.

  Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria

  had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to

  them, who when they had come down, prayed for them that they

  might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet he had fallen on none

  of them. They had only been baptized in

  the name of Christ Jesus. Then they laid their hands on

  them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

  Now when Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the

  laying on of the apostles hands, he offered the money, saying,

  Give me also this power, that whomever I lay my hands on may

  receive the Holy Spirit. But Peter said to him, May your

  silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the

  gift of God with money. You have neither part nor lot in

  this matter, for your heart isn't right before God.

  Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and ask God if

  perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you, for I

  see that you are in the poison of bitterness and in the bondage

  the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken

  happened to me. They therefore, when they had

  testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem

  and preached the good news to many villages of the Samaritans.

  Then an Angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Arise and go

  toward the South, to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to

  Gaza. This is a desert.

  He arose and went, and behold there was a man of Ethiopia, a

  eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of The

  Ethiopians, who is over all her treasure, who had come to

  Jerusalem to worship. He was returning and sitting in

  his chariot and was reading the prophet.

  Isaiah the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join

  yourself to this chariot. Philip ran to him and heard him

  reading Isaiah the prophet and said, Do you understand what you

  are reading? He said, How can I unless
• 8:01
  someone explains it to me? He begged Philip to come up and
• 8:04
  sit with him. Now the passage of the scripture
• 8:07
  which he was reading was this. He was led as a sheep to the
• 8:10
  slaughter, as a lamb before his Shearer is silent, so he doesn't
• 8:14
  open his mouth. In his humiliation his judgement
• 8:17
  was taken away. Who will declare his generation
• 8:20
  for his life is taken from the earth?
• 8:22
  The eunuch answered Philip. Who is the prophet talking
• 8:25
  about? About himself or about someone
• 8:27
  else? Philip opened his mouth and
• 8:29
  beginning from the Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.
• 8:33
  As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the
• 8:36
  eunuch said, Behold, here is water, what is keeping me from
• 8:39
  being baptized? He commanded the chariot to
• 8:42
  stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip
• 8:45
  and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
• 8:48
  When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord
• 8:50
  caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn't see him anymore,
• 8:53
  for he went on his way rejoicing.
• 8:55
  But Philip was found at Azatus passing through.
• 8:59
  He preached the good news to all the cities until he came to
