- 0:26All right, everybody, you are listening to Opposition Territory here at the Philadelphia
- 0:30Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philmy sports podcast show in the
- 0:33world, that's right over ten years strong. Got a great discussion coming your
- 0:37way, as we always do on our Opposition Territory podcast. This week,
- 0:41we're going to the NFC North what has been happening with a specific team in
- 0:46the city of Chicago during this offseason and what the expectations are for this Chicago
- 0:52Bears team in the twenty twenty three season. We've got a great discussion.
- 0:56Let's get to it. It is great to have back on the podcast.
- 0:59You can find him and it's just all of his awesome material and his colleague's
- 1:03material over at Windy City Gridiron dot Com. We love that Spnation site.
- 1:07You know, we love our spionation sites here at the PST podcast Show.
- 1:11You can find him on Twitter at Jacob and Fonte twenty four. Mister Jacob
- 1:15and Fonte, How are you doing, Buddy? I'm doing great, Jeff.
- 1:19It's the it's the down part in the in summer and down part in
- 1:23the NFL off season. So uh yeah, just gotta just gotta waited out
- 1:26until training camp. But you know, that provides a lot of time for
- 1:30you know, little speculation whatever or that. Actually, you know, gives
- 1:34me a little bit of time to actually step outside for one swhich you know
- 1:37I don't a lot during the during the season, that's for sure. Well,
- 1:42it gives you a lot more time to get on social sites like threads
- 1:45and blue Sky in case you want to. Yeah, are you are?
- 1:49Seriously are you on those sites at all? Do you want to promo anything?
- 1:52You don't have time, you don't want Yeah, so I am on
- 1:55Threads. It's at It's just Jacob and Fonte haven't joined Blue Sky at I
- 2:00don't know. I'm still waiting to see how this whole thing goes the same
- 2:05nightmare right now. So yeah, but once uh you know, once more
- 2:09people start jumping jumping ship, then we'll figure it out from there. But
- 2:14mostly Twitter, but absolutely, yes, absolutely, all right, folks.
- 2:20Well as we know, training camp is right around the corner, Training camp
- 2:24is gonna be here before we know it. I can't believe it. And
- 2:28there's always that insatiable sense of optimism for NFL fans and for their teams,
- 2:34teams that they're following. So when it comes to the Chicago Bears fans,
- 2:38Jacob like, what's what's a word to describe how the fan base there in
- 2:44Chicago is looking at this upcoming season and why I'm gonna go with Let's go
- 2:50with growth, all right, simply because I think that good word. Yeah,
- 2:55I mean, not too many people expecting them to be like a strong
- 3:00Bowl contender or anything. But I mean when you have when you finish three
- 3:02and fourteen, there's nowhere really you can go but us. So with you
- 3:07know that, and when you consider all the moves that they made over the
- 3:10offseason, everyone they brought in on both sides of the ball, you know,
- 3:14Tremaine Edmunds, TJ. Edwards on defense, Tyreek Stevenson at corner,
- 3:17then obviously DJ Moore at wide receiver, Darnell Wright at offensive tackle. I
- 3:23mean, you know, there's a handful of new guys who are going to
- 3:27probably step in and make an immediate impact and see significant playing time. So
- 3:31I think this is this year, depending on how it goes, will say
- 3:36a lot about I think this regime and what the future of the team is.
- 3:42I'm not expecting them to compete right away. I don't think too many
- 3:44people are ye. But as long as as long as there's growth, as
- 3:46long as there's significant growth, that I think things will be training in the
- 3:51right direction. I think that's a common sense approach and thought process for Bears
- 3:54fans, Bears Nation to have during the course of this offseason as they look
- 3:59to this season. Like you said, a lot of pieces were brought in,
- 4:01and we're going to get into some of those pieces here during our discussion
- 4:05we need to, but we need to, of course start off by really
- 4:08discussing the quarterback situation here with the Chicago Bears and who and that quarterback that
- 4:14is looking to take that next step in his career and what he can do
- 4:17for this team in this offense. I do believe that Justin Fields really could
- 4:23emerge as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL this season, not just
- 4:26saying that. I do think that he could, of course, based on
- 4:30what he can do with his feet, but a lot does need to happen
- 4:32from an offensive standpoint for that to actually happen for him, and he needs
- 4:38to develop his game more from the pocket. In my opinion, heard a
- 4:41lot of Bears writers say that on various podcasts, and just It's been written
- 4:46about time and time again. Needs to understand develop in the pocket, his
- 4:50pocket management, his footwork inside the pocket. Blah blah blah, the pocket,
- 4:55the pocket with Justin Fields, However, you know what it's all said
- 4:57and done, Like, what does Justin Fields need to do this season,
- 5:00Jacob to move the needle for this team? And how do you see him
- 5:04doing it? Yeah? So I think you hit the nail on the head.
- 5:08I mean, everyone knows that Fields is an incredible runner and that you
- 5:13know, honestly, I put him in a debate with Lamar Jackson as the
- 5:15top rushing quarterbacksolutely. Yeah, it's that's one and two. Whatever order you
- 5:21want to put it, that's totally up to you. But that's undisputed one
- 5:25and two. And with that in mind, though, there is some significant
- 5:30progress that needs to be made as a passer, and I think part of
- 5:32that, you know, like you meant, like you mentioned, is pocket
- 5:36management, pocket awareness. I know a lot of people tend to they tend
- 5:42to mention like how much time the quarterback spends in the pocket, like that
- 5:46stat and how Fields is typically near the top in that. But I think
- 5:50that stat's pretty misleading given the fact that Bears are pretty play action heavy,
- 5:56or at least they were last year, and naturally those plays are going to
- 5:59take more time to develop, which means more time in the pocket. And
- 6:03you're also looking at a quarterback who scrambles more often than you know, say,
- 6:10I don't know, like a like a Joe Burrow or something, or
- 6:12someone who's known generally more as I don't want to say, you know,
- 6:15I'm not a stationary pocket passer, but they don't have the same level of
- 6:19athleticism. And it's a play extending ability, right, So I think that,
- 6:25you know. Even with that said, though, sensing pressure is something
- 6:28he'll need to work on. Knowing when to throw the ball away. I
- 6:31think it's something he can work on because he takes too many sacks, which
- 6:35is weird because when he runs the ball, he does a really good job
- 6:40of knowing not when to take hits. Right, it seems to be like
- 6:44the opposite approach when he's in the pocket, like he wants, you know,
- 6:46I don't want to say he wants to take the hit, but he's
- 6:48not afraid of taking the hit, And I feel like he shouldn't be afraid,
- 6:53but he should avoid it. And I think that's something that he'll need
- 6:56to work on. Obviously, there's a lot of stuff that's going to need
- 7:00to improve around him too for him to take that next step, I think.
- 7:02But they brought in some really good pieces, and you're giving Fields a
- 7:09full off season in a new and a new and in a scheme that he's
- 7:14already had experience in, so you can further learn it another opportunity to grow.
- 7:19So I'm interested in seeing what's going to happen with him. I think
- 7:23that there's definitely a lot of work that needs to be done, but I
- 7:26think the ceiling is very, very high. You use that word growth and
- 7:29growth again obviously you know need to need to look at justin Fields with regard
- 7:33to that. And I think it's interesting too, Jacob how you mentioned him
- 7:38sensing pressure too, and this organization did a lot of good things for this
- 7:43team over the course of the of the off season. You know, it
- 7:46could be argued that the offensive line, the wide receivers, the linebackers,
- 7:51you know, all of these groups could arguably be some of the most improved
- 7:57on this Bears team here. So I'm wondering, like if you had to
- 8:01pinpoint the most improved unit on this team heading into training camp, which is
- 8:05the most improved unit in your mind? And why I'm gonna go with the
- 8:09linebackers actually, okay with that what they had last year, I mean,
- 8:13especially after they traded Roquan Smith to Baltimore, you had Jack Sanborn as the
- 8:18top linebacker and he did a good job, like especially for an undrafted rookie,
- 8:24like nobody would have expected him to do as well as he did.
- 8:26But with that in mind, now he's entering as maybe you know, the
- 8:31linebacker three. And that's factoring in Tremaine Edmond's two time Pro Bowler, arguably
- 8:39coming off the best season of his career, which staying a lot because you
- 8:41know, he didn't make the Pro Bowl this past year, but on film
- 8:45he played better at least in my opinion, and t J. Edwards was
- 8:48phenomenal for Philadelphia absolute last year. That's a very good tan, very good
- 8:52tandem. And I think you're looking at you're comparing you could have signed Roquan
- 8:58to like twenty million a year, or you could have signed both Tremaine Edmonds
- 9:01and t J. Edwards for like what like twenty three or twenty four or
- 9:05something like. For that just three to four million dollars extra and they got
- 9:11a second round pick out of the deal by trading ropelind Yeah and A.
- 9:15So I think the Bears came away tremendously, at least at linebacker. And
- 9:20you're talking about bringing in Noah Sewell as a fifth round pick, who I
- 9:24thought was really good value that late. So with that in mind, the
- 9:28depth is better. And even you know Dylan Cole's in him. He had
- 9:31some playing time in Tennessee. But the starting lineup of linebackers is insanely improved.
- 9:39And we'll see what happens with the rest of the defense, but at
- 9:43least the linebackers, I feel pretty confident they're going to be able to elevate
- 9:48the defense beyond what they had what they had last year, which isn't saying
- 9:52much, but it's it's something I think y'all are gonna like. T J
- 9:56Edwards. Really two years ago, a lot of US Eagles fans we kind
- 10:00of liked him. We knew he was growing again we're using that word growth.
- 10:03Yeah, it's perfect, perfect for what the Chicago Bears defense in the
- 10:09middle of that defense absolutely needs and what he is going to give him.
- 10:15It was so sad to see him leave, you know, during the course
- 10:18of free agency, but you know, it is what it is. The
- 10:20NFL is what it is. But you know, on the flip side of
- 10:24things here is we're moving along. Jacob. I think the biggest concern for
- 10:28the Bears this upcoming season, from all that I've read and just remembering watching
- 10:31some of the games last year, really seems to be from like an edge
- 10:35rushing standpoint. The Bears had the worst ranked pass rush in the NFL last
- 10:39year. They had twenty sacks in seventeen games. It's nothing to write home
- 10:43about. For sure. It was a rough season getting that pressure off the
- 10:48edge and with the talent that was there, and I'm not necessarily sure it
- 10:52has improved that much. And I wanted to get your thoughts on this.
- 10:56Do you see this trend continuing this coming season? Unfortunately? I do.
- 11:03I think that when you have the roster that the Bears had in twenty twenty
- 11:07two, that's something that can't be fixed all in one offseason. And I
- 11:11want to say Ryan Poles did a very good job of fixing most of that,
- 11:16but you know, realistically, there's one or two positions that are going
- 11:20to be sacrificed in the process, and this year it was edge. And
- 11:26you know that's not to say that they didn't, you know, bring in
- 11:28new guys. I mean, you've got DeMarcus Walker rushing off the edge,
- 11:31who's coming off a career a year with Titans, Rashime Green, someone who
- 11:35can play inside outside, and you've got that with Trevis Gibson Dominique Robinson,
- 11:43and there's still some good edge rushers out in free agency. I wouldn't be
- 11:46surprised if the Bears at the very least are active in trying to get one
- 11:50of those guys, like a Yannikenkway or Justin Houston or something like that.
- 11:56I know it kind of seems like a Bears or whatever. It's like,
- 12:01okay, but when are the Bears going to sign one of these guys,
- 12:05because like we're talking about it all off season and it just hasn't happened yet.
- 12:07So I still expect some sort of a move to happen. But even
- 12:13then, realistically, unless you're making a splash trade for someone, which I
- 12:18don't think they do, you're not fixing defense and end this off season or
- 12:24this season. Really, I think the rest of the defense, you know,
- 12:28the linebackers being better, the secondary being better. I think that'll help
- 12:31elevate the D line, and I think it'll be a better unit than last
- 12:35year. But again, like you mentioned, you know, twenty sacks in
- 12:39the whole season, that's a very low bar. So I don't think it's
- 12:43gonna be one of the league's most intimidating units by any means. Better.
- 12:48Yes, but that just depends. You know, I really don't put much
- 12:52stock into that word in this case. All right, sounds good again.
- 12:56Folks were talking to Jacob Infante from Windy City gridiron dot Com, great sp
- 13:01nation site, a lot of great content about the Chicago Bears and even the
- 13:07NFC North over there as well. Follow on Twitter at Jacob and Fonte twenty
- 13:11four and yes he is on threads at Jacob and Fonte and I've forgot's sake,
- 13:16I'm on threads too at mister Jeff Warren. That's what it is.
- 13:20Let's see how long this lasts. It's actually been a good community over there.
- 13:24I cannot believe it. It's not gonna last. I know it's not
- 13:26gonna last, and I know I'm sounding like a pessimist and a cynic,
- 13:30but it's just not gonna last, folks. Let's enjoy it for what it
- 13:33is. I tried to do some promos here for Jacob and it turned into
- 13:37a Threads discussion. So let's move on to the Chicago Bears and more specifically
- 13:43this NFC North. I think it's gonna be a fascinating division to watch.
- 13:48There are a lot of fascinating teams aside from the Chicago Bears as well.
- 13:52I mean, there seems to be room though for the Bears to make a
- 13:56lot of noise this year. There's uncertainty with the Packers offense and their quarterback.
- 14:03I mean, we talked about it last week on the Opposition Territory podcast
- 14:05here at the PSD podcast show with our friend Texts Western from Acme Packing Company.
- 14:13I mean, yeah, I think Jordan Love is going to certainly have
- 14:16some trials and tribulations that he does understand what that offense is and how they're
- 14:22going to probably try to tailor to his strengths. But there's still a lot
- 14:24of uncertainty there. And the Lions, they are a team apparently on the
- 14:30rise here, but are they for real? We're gonna find out a lot
- 14:33more about them this year. And then of course a Minnesota Vikings. They
- 14:35just, man, they just can't ever seem to get over the hump,
- 14:39given the talent that they've had on that team, specifically the offense for quite
- 14:41some time. It's been since twenty eighteen, Jacob As, you know that,
- 14:48since Chicago won the division. So how do you really see this division
- 14:52possibly shaping up this season? Here be told, I wish I had an
- 14:56answer for you, but I really okay, it's gonna be one of the
- 15:00more unpredictable divisions in the NFL this year. Absolutely, I don't. I
- 15:05don't think there's a bad team in the division, but I don't think there's
- 15:09a great one either. And I'd say right now I think the Lions win
- 15:15the NFC North. But even then, Like Jared Goff has been solid,
- 15:18you know since coming to Detroit, But how high is your ceiling with him
- 15:22at corpsolutely, you know, That's what I want to know. And like
- 15:26he's got a lot of talent around him, but it's not like the Rams
- 15:31team he went to the Super Bowl with. It's not that talented of a
- 15:33team. He doesn't have that stacked of a coaching staff, even though it
- 15:35is a good coaching staff there in Detroit, Minnesota. I feel like they
- 15:41got worse this offseason. You know, they want a lot of one possession
- 15:45games that were really really close against teams that they you know, for a
- 15:50team who finished thirteen and four, you to assume they blew out looking back
- 15:54on it, but uh, yeah, I don't know. I think that's
- 15:58a good team. That's a that's a another good team. But I don't
- 16:00think they got better. I don't think there their ways of winning are sustainable.
- 16:07So I think we're going to see a little bit of regression. You
- 16:08know, they'll still compete for you know what, for the NFC North title,
- 16:12They'll still compete for a wild card spot. But you know, I'm
- 16:15not expecting I'm not expecting thirteen wins again, that's for sure. I do
- 16:21wonder if I do wonder if you could see the Bears possibly getting that second
- 16:25spot in the in the division because I take a look at the Packers,
- 16:30and yes, again talking with our guest last week, there was that level
- 16:34of optimism that because Jordan Love has been behind Aaron Rodgers for so many years,
- 16:40you know, and he has some experience also starting It's not like he's
- 16:45some sort of rookie coming in. But I still think during the course of
- 16:48a seventeen game season, there are gonna be some ups, There's gonna be
- 16:52some downs. How does Jordan Love handle those downs? Especially since he is
- 17:00really in the shadow of one Aaron Rodgers. And the fact of the matter
- 17:03is, before Aaron Rodgers, it was Brett Farve who was the quarterback of
- 17:07that team. This team has had two quarterbacks to starting quarterbacks now for the
- 17:12past how many decades. It's a new era, and new eras usually do
- 17:18not go all that well and all that smooth rate from the start, unless
- 17:22you're the Philadelphia Eagles, of course. But yeah, of course. But
- 17:26I think there's something to be said about this Bears offseason and the fact that
- 17:32they could potentially be that number two ranked team in the division when it's all
- 17:37said and done. I think it's a possibility. Yeah, I certainly think
- 17:40it's possible. What I bet money on it, I don't. I don't
- 17:44know. I mean, I'm not a bet again, so I'm a you
- 17:47know, little a little hesitant there. But at the same time, it's
- 17:51something i'd consider just because, you know, like I mentioned with the Vikings,
- 17:55I think I think they do regress, They'll They're too good of a
- 17:59team to truly fall out of the playoff race, I think. But I
- 18:03just don't know how high the ceiling is going to be this year. And
- 18:07with Green Bay, that's another team where you know, they still have a
- 18:11good amount of pieces in place, got some you know, holes along the
- 18:15roster. I think, all right, I'm interested in seeing what Christian Watson
- 18:19does a wide receiver, because he really showed some intriguing flashes on the stretch.
- 18:23But the thing with Jordan Love is, you know, he's played,
- 18:27he's played a handful of games, but he's only started one from start to
- 18:33finish in his entire NFL career. And the way I see it like I
- 18:37just started a new job, and the way that I see it is the
- 18:42way that you get better at your job is by doing it right. And
- 18:48that's why I don't know, I don't have maybe the same confidence that Jordan
- 18:53Love is going to step in right away and you know, continue that far.
- 18:57Van Rodgers l Aga see, you know, especially after having you know,
- 19:03sat on the bench for three years. But we'll see, we'll see.
- 19:07I could this could totally come back to bite me, uh and Jordan
- 19:11Love could end up ruling the NFC North for another fifteen years and I'm never
- 19:15gonna break but all right, I don't know. I think that it's certainly
- 19:21possible. I think you could tell me the Bears end up anywhere from first
- 19:23to fourth in the NFC North, and realistically, I think there's a you
- 19:29know, shot and a realistic argument. Definitely gonna be interesting. Definitely gonna
- 19:33be interesting for sure. Well, we are gonna close out our discussion here,
- 19:37Jacob with a segment that we unveiled last week, and it's called the
- 19:41Standout and stepped on segment. So we're gonna first start off. I'd like
- 19:47for you to give me two players you think will be a standout this coming
- 19:51season on this Bear's roster. Who are those two individuals and why'd you pick
- 19:56them? All? Right, So I'm gonna go with at left guard,
- 20:03give me Tevin Jenkins. Oh, okay, I think he's gonna stand out.
- 20:07Last year, for my money, he was the best offensive lineman at
- 20:11right guard. He's moving to left guard this year because they brought in Nate
- 20:14Davis from the Titans, and you know, with that in mind, I
- 20:18think he's had a full off season to prepare for the left side. You
- 20:21know, he said that right away when they signed Nate Davis, they told
- 20:25him, hey, you're gonna be moving to left, you know, the
- 20:27left guard, which he was fine with. He's been preparing for and I
- 20:32think that if he can stay healthy. That's the big thing with him is
- 20:34he's had some injury concerns. But when he's healthy, he's one of the
- 20:40bright spots of this team. So I think that gave him a better offensive
- 20:45line around him. Give Justin Fields another year to speed up his processing.
- 20:51I think Kevin's really gonna shine. And another standout I'm gonna go with,
- 20:56I'm gonna go to Jakwan Brisker, the safety. Yeah, so he had
- 21:00he had a strong rookie year, especially when Eddie Jackson was healthy. When
- 21:06he Eddie Jackson was playing at a Pro Bowl level before I got hurt.
- 21:08And I think the presence of Brisker, it's the same thing that the Bears
- 21:14had with Amos, you know, back before I left for Green Bay,
- 21:17where Brisker's skill set really allows Eddie Jackson to be Eddie Jackson, and like
- 21:23it's a thing where Eddie's not I don't think he's like this complete safety where
- 21:30he can do literally anything on the defense and he'll he'll be a star.
- 21:33He's got he's got a specific role, you know, and that's be a
- 21:37ball hawk and go after the ball, you know, be that center fielder
- 21:40type and just get after it. And I think that in years, in
- 21:47years pass ever since that the one All Pro year he had in twenty eighteen,
- 21:51the Bears kind of tried to force him into something he wasn't. And
- 21:55now I think the new the new system did a good job of really letting
- 22:00he thrive and having someone like Brisker, who can, you know, you
- 22:03can play downhill, who can you know, deliver big hits, someone who
- 22:07can play in the box, someone who can play in too high and consistently
- 22:11hold his own there. I think that's it's beneficial for Eddie, it's beneficial
- 22:15for Jaquan. So I think Brisker, it's a matter of the big plays
- 22:21with him, but he delivers consistently good play, you know, pretty often.
- 22:30So there there are like the bad reps are few, they are pretty
- 22:36bad, but there are a lot more good reps and the good reps are
- 22:41quite solid. So I think that this year is gonna be big for him.
- 22:45Two to be stepped on. Yeah, stepped on. Let's get too
- 22:48stepped on. Two players you think are gonna just get stepped on throughout the
- 22:52course of the season. Ah. Shoot see, I hate to be I
- 22:56hate to be this guy because I don't want to you know, I don't.
- 22:57I don't want to knock the guy. But I think eventually you're looking
- 23:04at the defensive tackle. I think eventually Andrew Billings. They brought him in
- 23:11as a one technique defensive tackle. I think he's gonna start right away.
- 23:15He's a good run defender. But how high is the ceiling as a pass
- 23:21rusher. It's not very high, right, And you know what you have
- 23:23in Billings. He's a solid player, He's a solid run stuffer. He's
- 23:27someone you can bring in as like a two down type of guy. But
- 23:33I think you look at what the Bears did in the draft. They selected
- 23:36Davon Dexter from Florida at d tackle in the second round and then Zach Pickens
- 23:41from South Carolina in the third round. That's two new guys that are going
- 23:45to be fighting for snaps. And Dexter especially, I think he's gonna be
- 23:51Billings main competition at one Tech, and I think eventually Dexter is gonna get
- 23:55that starting role so for and I think Billings is gonna play. He's going
- 24:00to have a role in the defense regardless, even down the stretch. But
- 24:04yeah, early on, I think you'll get more of a role and then
- 24:07you know, get phased out a little bit more over time. Okay,
- 24:10okay, do you have another one here for us? All right? So
- 24:12I got one more. Uh, let's see. I think this one and
- 24:19another one that I'm not too like sure about. I'm gonna say. I'll
- 24:25say Deontay Foreman. Okay, I'll stay Foreman, which I think that's fair
- 24:30given his career, in his injury history and everything he's been through in this
- 24:33league. I absolutely think that's fair. But I can also see him absolutely
- 24:37killing it this year. But you know, behind this line, I can
- 24:41see that happening. Yeah, and it's really tough. I wanted. I
- 24:45was thinking about, Okay, which one who in the Bears backfield I'm gonna
- 24:48pay because like someone naturally is gonna have to be when you have Khalil Herbert,
- 24:52you have Deontay Foreman, you have Roshan Johnson, all competing for carriage,
- 24:56and Travis Homer is gonna get special teams apps. You have all those
- 25:02guys, you know, fighting for playing time. Someone's gonna end up,
- 25:04you know, getting a little bit of a decline in production. I could
- 25:10see it being Foreman, just because the one year that he had in Carolina
- 25:15last year was really good, especially when Christian McCaffrey left. He was fantastic.
- 25:19But it's a matter of Okay, he's the oldest of the bunch.
- 25:25You know, he's in a new scheme, he's in a new environment,
- 25:27and Khalila Herbert's proven to be extremely efficient. Roshan Johnson's got a very high
- 25:33ceiling. Foreman might have admittedly the lowest ceiling of the bunch. Maybe maybe
- 25:40not the lowest floor. I don't think he has the lowest floor by any
- 25:42means, but I do think that just naturally. I think there's gonna be
- 25:48a bit of a backfield split people expecting Foreman to have the same stat line
- 25:53he had last year with nearly a thousand rushing yards. I don't think that's
- 25:56going to happen again this year. But I don't think that's really gonna be
- 26:00all his fault. I think that's just gonna be of what's around him,
- 26:03and there's more youth around him, a little bit more burst. So you
- 26:08know, it's just an unfortunate circumstance, but it's a good problem to have
- 26:14if you're the Bears. It's better to have good players not get enough playing
- 26:17time than bad players get too much playing time. Absolutely, absolutely, those
- 26:21are four overall great picks and Jacob, I have to say, it was
- 26:23great talking to you. Come back join us down the road. I would
- 26:27love to have you back on and folks again, Windy City gridiron dot Com.
- 26:32I'd love to talk to you again right around times season starts, perhaps
- 26:34during the season, come back and join us, my friend. No,
- 26:37absolutely yeah, make sure to yeah, hit me up when the season's up
- 26:41and rolling, and definitely be down to come on again. Always great talking
- 26:45to Jacob and the Chicago Bears. I'm not kidding. I think can actually
- 26:49be a really interesting team this year. I mean, you heard Jacob talking
- 26:52about what this offense is gonna look like. I mean specifically that running back
- 26:56room as he was talking about it towards the end of our discussion there.
- 26:59I think the run game is going to be very interesting and again Yes,
- 27:03it's all gonna come down to Justin Fields on an offensive perspective, in terms
- 27:06of the chemistry is going to have with dj Moore, with all the weapons
- 27:10that are on this offense, the weapons that they did get for Justin Fields,
- 27:14how is his pocket management going to hold up throughout this season? So
- 27:18I cannot wait to see what happens in this division again, a division in
- 27:22the NFC North that is very just not going to be predictable. We can't
- 27:26aren't gonna be able to predict what is really going to happen. So that
- 27:30being said, it was a great Opposition Territory podcast. Again, thank you
- 27:33Jacob for coming on. Can't wait to talk to you at some point down
- 27:36the road. Make sure you're following us on the Twitter dot com at Philadelphia
