- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorite Podcast. I am Shad Milman of
- 0:15Speaker 1: the Action Network. It's Wednesday, which means it is Scooch
- 0:22Speaker 1: Day joining me from the Orleans and all the boyd
- 0:28Speaker 1: gaming books around the country. Bookmaker to the World, as
- 0:34Speaker 1: anointed by me. Mr Bob Scoochy gets better every time
- 0:57Speaker 1: it does. How are you doing? Every time? I hear
- 1:01Speaker 1: it like, it's like epiphanies and horns and inspiration and
- 1:11Speaker 1: I I only want you to have something bigger than
- 1:14Speaker 1: this podcast. Honestly, that's pretty hard to do. That's about
- 1:18Speaker 1: as big as it gets. Well, it certainly made you
- 1:21Speaker 1: more famous than meet that. Come on, come on, come on.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Did you hear the review that we read on the
- 1:32Speaker 1: Friday edition of The Favorites last week? I'm sure you
- 1:35Speaker 1: didn't because you're not aware that these podcasts exists outside
- 1:39Speaker 1: of you're in particular time frame. But on Friday, Uh,
- 1:44Speaker 1: we read a review that somebody sent in that basically said,
- 1:48Speaker 1: I can't wait to come have uh scooches book the Odds,
- 1:52Speaker 1: which I've already had scooch sign signed by everybody else
- 1:56Speaker 1: in the podcast, and then this person went on to
- 1:59Speaker 1: name everybody who does the podcast with us on Mondays
- 2:02Speaker 1: and everybody who does the podcast with us on Fridays.
- 2:05Speaker 1: The only person not named was me. Here, I'll read
- 2:07Speaker 1: it to you. I love the Friday podcast. If there
- 2:11Speaker 1: was a meet up so I could get my book
- 2:12Speaker 1: The Odds, which is already signed by Bob Scucci, signed
- 2:15Speaker 1: by black Jack Fletcher, also Paula Duca and Jeff Schwartz,
- 2:20Speaker 1: and most importantly Georgina. That would be great. Georgina is
- 2:26Speaker 1: like the voice of the voiceover of the podcast on Friday.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I can't believe I have to explain the concept of
- 2:33Speaker 1: what happened on our Friday podcast to you on your
- 2:36Speaker 1: own podcast. You think that's great, it's great. Well, he
- 2:42Speaker 1: forgot you, apparently forgot you. I don't think it was forgetful.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I think it was entire it's great. So I thought
- 2:52Speaker 1: last weekend Scooch was really interesting because there were a
- 2:55Speaker 1: lot of games where as you had said you would,
- 2:59Speaker 1: lines were inflated, um because the public was cash rich.
- 3:03Speaker 1: The public was overconfident after a weekend in which like
- 3:06Speaker 1: eleven games in which the majority of tickets uh those
- 3:11Speaker 1: games covered. Um, so you know you had some huge
- 3:16Speaker 1: numbers you had. I think the Chargers were a betting tickets.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I think the Falcons were over seventy. I think the
- 3:23Speaker 1: Chiefs were over seventy. The Patriots were over seventy. UM.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Big weekend, a lot of big, big, big home dogs,
- 3:32Speaker 1: a lot of big dogs. Generally, I didn't experiment where
- 3:36Speaker 1: I basically betted every scenario UH plus a couple other
- 3:41Speaker 1: bad ones, and then I ignored to others. Um, I
- 3:45Speaker 1: ignored the Chargers and I ignored the Seahawks. I would
- 3:48Speaker 1: have bet the Chargers. I would have bet the Seahawks.
- 3:50Speaker 1: That was stupid of me. UM. I bet the Cardinals,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I wont. I bet the Browns I won. I bet
- 3:59Speaker 1: um the Bengals, I lost. Titans. I bet the Titans,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I won, and then I lost the Bengals, I lost
- 4:07Speaker 1: the Jets NUS seven, I lost the Bucks Redskins over,
- 4:10Speaker 1: and I lost the Dolphins plus nine and a half.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So my point is that talk to me here because
- 4:17Speaker 1: the big numbers, like if I had only played what
- 4:20Speaker 1: against the public or the home dogs, I would have
- 4:23Speaker 1: done pretty well. Yeah, it was a big week for
- 4:25Speaker 1: us UH with a couple of the dogs winning the
- 4:29Speaker 1: game straight up. That always helps. So the Titans winning
- 4:32Speaker 1: straight up, the Browns winning straight up completely made the
- 4:35Speaker 1: day kind of similar to the week before in reverse,
- 4:38Speaker 1: where we were cooked by three of the games early
- 4:42Speaker 1: and then it didn't really matter what happened the rest
- 4:44Speaker 1: of the day. It was kind of the opposite here.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Once we had those two games that that one really
- 4:50Speaker 1: didn't matter too much the rest of the day. We
- 4:52Speaker 1: gave a bunch back. We lost all of the three
- 4:54Speaker 1: late games. The public was all over Seattle plus the
- 4:58Speaker 1: nine and a half plus nine against against the Rams.
- 5:01Speaker 1: They were all over the Chargers, and they were all
- 5:03Speaker 1: over the Packers against the Dolphins. So we went oh
- 5:05Speaker 1: and three in the in the late games and still
- 5:07Speaker 1: managed to have what I consider the best UH Sunday
- 5:11Speaker 1: of the year, at least for us so far. And
- 5:14Speaker 1: UH partly was the Cowboys also winning straight up against
- 5:18Speaker 1: the Eagles. But but but yeah, it was a lot
- 5:23Speaker 1: of inflated lines. It wasn't our best bookmaking job. And
- 5:26Speaker 1: you know, I know it sounds it sounds funny. Sometimes
- 5:29Speaker 1: when you lose money, and I've said this before, sometimes
- 5:32Speaker 1: you're you're proud of the way you booked even when
- 5:34Speaker 1: you lose. But when you win money, I think we
- 5:37Speaker 1: gave too much back because of a lot of those
- 5:39Speaker 1: inflated lines. Uh, you know, probably a little gun shy
- 5:44Speaker 1: from the week before. Public lay in some of these
- 5:47Speaker 1: favorites at a seventy clip, and you tend to tend
- 5:50Speaker 1: to drift up on that line a little bit, especially
- 5:53Speaker 1: when you're not getting too much take back. And then
- 5:56Speaker 1: on the day of the game, we did get a
- 5:57Speaker 1: lot of take back, So I think I think we
- 5:59Speaker 1: probably gave a little bit too much away. But overall,
- 6:02Speaker 1: like I said, probably the best Sunday of the year,
- 6:05Speaker 1: best Sunday of the year. That is saying something going
- 6:09Speaker 1: into week ten, going into week eleven, coming out of
- 6:12Speaker 1: week ten, having your best Sunday of the year. You
- 6:16Speaker 1: mentioned it wasn't your best book making day. You talk
- 6:19Speaker 1: about the late games. Explain what went wrong from a
- 6:23Speaker 1: bookmaking perspective in those late games. So the bookmaking actually
- 6:29Speaker 1: wasn't bad in the in the in the three late games,
- 6:31Speaker 1: we just lost the three late games. The bookmaking was
- 6:35Speaker 1: bad on the games we won where we we didn't
- 6:39Speaker 1: sit tight on some of those numbers and and just
- 6:41Speaker 1: let people lay lay the favorites. Um. So you know,
- 6:46Speaker 1: we went to seven on the Patriots and probably took
- 6:48Speaker 1: too much back on the Titans. Uh, we we went
- 6:51Speaker 1: to six and a half on the Falcons. We opened
- 6:53Speaker 1: four and a half on on the Falcons, we went
- 6:56Speaker 1: to six and a half. I think we took too
- 6:58Speaker 1: much back at plus six and a half on the Browns.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So that so the games we didn't do our best bookmaking.
- 7:04Speaker 1: We're on games way actually won money on That's interesting.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So like you got a little like you said, you
- 7:09Speaker 1: got gunshy, and like the money started coming in in
- 7:12Speaker 1: the favorites, and you move the number maybe a little
- 7:15Speaker 1: too quickly or too high, and then some money started
- 7:18Speaker 1: coming in and the dogs and a couple of those dogs,
- 7:20Speaker 1: like the Titans, for sure, that number moved a lot.
- 7:23Speaker 1: The Browns, for sure, that number moved quite a bit. Uh.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You ended up losing because you you left the door
- 7:28Speaker 1: open for people to take the dogs. Yeah. And it's
- 7:30Speaker 1: it's basically a lot of the professional betters that are
- 7:33Speaker 1: that are you know, picking these these numbers at their
- 7:37Speaker 1: very highest in which we've always talked about if you're
- 7:39Speaker 1: gonna bet a lot of these dogs, you've bet them
- 7:41Speaker 1: late right before game time, and you're probably going to
- 7:43Speaker 1: get the best number, um even early on the Thursday
- 7:47Speaker 1: night game. We opened the Pittsburgh Steelers up at five
- 7:50Speaker 1: and a half and uh, the sharp guys were all
- 7:54Speaker 1: over the Panthers and drove that number down the three
- 7:56Speaker 1: and a half and we we started taking way too
- 8:00Speaker 1: much money on the Steelers at minus three and a half.
- 8:03Speaker 1: There's just you know, we're giving we're getting off the decision.
- 8:06Speaker 1: You know, we had a decision early on in the week,
- 8:08Speaker 1: and that's what made us make the Steelers such a
- 8:10Speaker 1: high favorite at five and a half. And then to
- 8:12Speaker 1: give it all back right before game time at minus
- 8:15Speaker 1: three and a half didn't didn't make sense. So we
- 8:18Speaker 1: had to just you know, jack it up an hour
- 8:21Speaker 1: or two before kickoff and uh, and then ended up
- 8:24Speaker 1: having a pretty good game with with the Steelers too.
- 8:29Speaker 1: All right, here's a great story, germane to this conversation
- 8:32Speaker 1: that we have on the Action Network right now, the
- 8:35Speaker 1: Los Angeles Rams, and it pertains to the biggest game
- 8:38Speaker 1: of the year. The Los Angeles Rams are historically the
- 8:41Speaker 1: worst team against the spread for any team that has
- 8:46Speaker 1: started as fast as they have once the last time
- 8:49Speaker 1: they covered the spread. They didn't do it last week,
- 8:52Speaker 1: they didn't do it there before they didn't do it
- 8:54Speaker 1: the week before that. I don't think they did it
- 8:56Speaker 1: the week before that. It's been like at least a month, Yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: it has. I mean going back to uh, before the
- 9:02Speaker 1: Saints game before the Broncos. The Broncos covered, right, So
- 9:06Speaker 1: uh yeah, it's been a while. So that brings me
- 9:10Speaker 1: to it. There's two things that are in the news
- 9:11Speaker 1: that we're gonna talk about in these games. Um. Number one,
- 9:15Speaker 1: let's get started, because uh, We're gonna start with the
- 9:18Speaker 1: Thursday night game. Huge game. I love this game. Seattle
- 9:22Speaker 1: is two and a half point favorite over Green Bay
- 9:24Speaker 1: in Seattle Thursday night. I love the Seahawks in this game. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:33Speaker 1: you have to. Uh, but the uh and and the
- 9:36Speaker 1: public actually has been on the Seahawks even in some
- 9:40Speaker 1: of the games that they lose, kind of opposite to
- 9:42Speaker 1: what you just said. With the Rams, They're they're not
- 9:44Speaker 1: winning these games, but they're they're they're covering. So uh,
- 9:49Speaker 1: last week they found a lot of value with the
- 9:51Speaker 1: Seahawks getting so many points against the Rams, and then
- 9:55Speaker 1: they were also all over the Packers against the Dolphins.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But in this one, it's a very just evenly matched game.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Basically a pick them game. So, uh the ticket counts
- 10:05Speaker 1: pretty even slightly heavier on the Seahawks, but only because
- 10:09Speaker 1: they're at home, I think. But I think you have
- 10:11Speaker 1: to like the Seahawks at home. Here, Um, packers are
- 10:14Speaker 1: kind of banged up, their secondaries banged up, got a
- 10:16Speaker 1: lot of guys each game, they're losing another couple of
- 10:20Speaker 1: guys here and there, so, um, none of the key players,
- 10:24Speaker 1: but just you know, a lot of a lot of secondaries, linemen,
- 10:28Speaker 1: and uh so we we tried to be a little
- 10:31Speaker 1: higher on the Seahawks because it's basically a pick them game.
- 10:34Speaker 1: So laying two and a half, I think it's a
- 10:36Speaker 1: good number. I think that's a really good number. As
- 10:39Speaker 1: we talk about it, I kind of want to allegedly
- 10:42Speaker 1: bet it allegedly your attention, please, Dad is making a bet.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Allegedly Allegedly I'm going to make a bet, do you
- 10:52Speaker 1: know what I mean? Alleged? Who was that that? Yeah
- 10:58Speaker 1: that's Georgina. Uh oh, Georgie and I'm sorry Georgina. Yeah, Scooch,
- 11:04Speaker 1: that's who. It was nice to get to another podcast.
- 11:08Speaker 1: There you go. Yes, it is m all right, all right,
- 11:14Speaker 1: So if I'm allegedly betting on Seattle, let's get to know.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Let's move on to the Sunday games. Minnesota is a
- 11:19Speaker 1: three point dog at the Chicago Bears. The Battle for
- 11:24Speaker 1: the NF scene or Rumbling, bumbling, stumbling, black and Blue.
- 11:33Speaker 1: This game really does look like a brute because the
- 11:35Speaker 1: Bears are like dark Navy and the Vikings are purple,
- 11:39Speaker 1: and so it could be the bruise game. So I
- 11:43Speaker 1: really wanted to hang this game a little higher because
- 11:47Speaker 1: I thought the public would just be all over the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Bears the way the Bears have been playing. And uh,
- 11:52Speaker 1: but I hung. I hung three, and right out of
- 11:55Speaker 1: the gate we got a lot of sharp money on
- 11:58Speaker 1: the Vikings at plus three. So yeah, the I don't
- 12:05Speaker 1: want to get off the number three here. I'll just
- 12:07Speaker 1: move money. As they're they're betting that the Vikings plus
- 12:10Speaker 1: the three, I'll just move it to minus twenty. And
- 12:13Speaker 1: I don't want to get in a situation where I'm
- 12:15Speaker 1: bouncing back and forth between two and a half and three,
- 12:18Speaker 1: because the public is going to be on the Bears
- 12:20Speaker 1: here probably at a at a two to one clip,
- 12:22Speaker 1: and uh, I just don't want to get caught in
- 12:24Speaker 1: a situation where false three and this is this game
- 12:27Speaker 1: has three written all over it, so, um, another solid number.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't think we I don't think you're going to
- 12:33Speaker 1: see a lot of these lines moving the way you
- 12:35Speaker 1: do early in the season. I think kind of we
- 12:38Speaker 1: got a pretty good beat on it. This is gonna
- 12:41Speaker 1: be an epic Sunday night game. Oh my god, I'm
- 12:44Speaker 1: gonna have to stay up late for this game. Which
- 12:46Speaker 1: one the late game the Vikings, because that's the late
- 12:50Speaker 1: game Lake game. Yeah, I got it, Sunday night on
- 12:54Speaker 1: the East Coast. As you staying up late, I'm trying
- 12:56Speaker 1: to think I'll staying up exactly. You're a Bears fan
- 13:00Speaker 1: trying a Bear Scott. Wow, you remember something about me? Yeah, occasionally,
- 13:07Speaker 1: it's nice to know. It's nice tonight you remember the
- 13:10Speaker 1: little people? Yeah. Houston is a three point favorite on
- 13:16Speaker 1: the road against the Washington Redskins. I find everything about
- 13:21Speaker 1: the bookmaking here to be fascinating, Scooch fascinating. Nobody wants
- 13:27Speaker 1: to give the Washington Redskins any respect at all for
- 13:32Speaker 1: being in first place, for winning games on the road,
- 13:35Speaker 1: for winning games at home that they're supposed to win,
- 13:37Speaker 1: for winning against teams that they're supposed to beat, for
- 13:40Speaker 1: winning hard games. The Texans have one, I don't know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: five in a row, six in a row, whatever it is.
- 13:45Speaker 1: They haven't beat great teams. They had a really good
- 13:48Speaker 1: game in Denver, but Denver, like the Broncos defensive line
- 13:52Speaker 1: destroyed the Texans offensive line and that should have been
- 13:56Speaker 1: a game where the Broncos came away with a win.
- 13:59Speaker 1: And so I feel like a huge advantage to the
- 14:06Speaker 1: Redskins in this game. Yeah, it's not going to be
- 14:08Speaker 1: one of those real high profile games, uh, compared to
- 14:11Speaker 1: some of the other games on the board here, But
- 14:13Speaker 1: this is You're right, it is a really interesting one.
- 14:16Speaker 1: It's it's very rare that we make a team a
- 14:20Speaker 1: road favorite that isn't uh, you know, one of the
- 14:23Speaker 1: top tier teams at which I don't consider the Texans
- 14:27Speaker 1: yet one of the top tier teams, and here they
- 14:29Speaker 1: are land points on the Yeah. So so if there's
- 14:34Speaker 1: any value on this one, it's gonna be on the Redskins.
- 14:36Speaker 1: But for the casual fan, uh, they're gonna they're gonna
- 14:39Speaker 1: bet the Texans. So this line is just more reflective
- 14:42Speaker 1: of where um it's kind of the public. The casual
- 14:46Speaker 1: fan is going to come in and bet and uh,
- 14:49Speaker 1: we are, we are going to see a ticket account
- 14:51Speaker 1: of about three to one Texans to Redskins. I don't
- 14:54Speaker 1: think we want to go to three because we're just
- 14:57Speaker 1: inviting all these sharp guys that kind of had to
- 14:59Speaker 1: feel day last week. They're gonna have a field day
- 15:02Speaker 1: with some of these lines that are on key numbers
- 15:04Speaker 1: this week. So another game where I prefer to stay
- 15:07Speaker 1: at two and a half and not bounce back and
- 15:09Speaker 1: forth to three. Where do you think the wise guys
- 15:13Speaker 1: are going to come in in this game on the Redskins?
- 15:18Speaker 1: As I mean, it's really it really should be Redskins
- 15:23Speaker 1: minus one minus one and a half. That should be
- 15:25Speaker 1: the kind of the true line, the raw number. It
- 15:29Speaker 1: it's inflated a little bit to account for where we
- 15:32Speaker 1: feel the public is going to come in on this game.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And as we talked a lot before, there's not a
- 15:39Speaker 1: lot of value in the line movement once you're in
- 15:42Speaker 1: between those minus three numbers of both teams minus three
- 15:46Speaker 1: on the road, minus three at home, that kind of
- 15:48Speaker 1: area in the middle of minus one road team minus
- 15:52Speaker 1: one home team. You know, we bounced back and forth
- 15:55Speaker 1: quite a bit off of just a little money, because
- 15:57Speaker 1: you have less chance of getting middled uh allegedly. Allegedly,
- 16:04Speaker 1: I might have just bet the Redskins plus three. Your attention, please,
- 16:09Speaker 1: Dad is making a bet allegedly. I'm glad we amuse
- 16:19Speaker 1: you like we are, like we're clowns. It's like I'm
- 16:25Speaker 1: listening to the podcast for the first time. Thanks for that, Scoge. Listen.
- 16:34Speaker 1: The next game is huge, and we got to be
- 16:37Speaker 1: serious for a second. Okay, can we be serious? I'll try,
- 16:43Speaker 1: can we commit? We got serious news. Hugh Jackson has
- 16:47Speaker 1: been signed as a special assistant to the head coach
- 16:51Speaker 1: of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals right now or five
- 16:57Speaker 1: and a half point dogs to the Ravens. We don't
- 17:00Speaker 1: know the status of Joe Flacco. I can't believe you
- 17:03Speaker 1: posted this number to begin with, But now you are
- 17:06Speaker 1: leaving yourselves open to Hugh Jackson coming in and redefining
- 17:14Speaker 1: what happens in that Bengals offensive meeting room. Have have
- 17:20Speaker 1: you not closed the gap on this number? Scooch? We
- 17:24Speaker 1: we didn't hang it. We we were. This game is
- 17:27Speaker 1: off the board right now while you're doing the right thing. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 1: we have to wait on this one. We got we
- 17:34Speaker 1: got battered Flacco. They battered Flacco. Boy, it's been a
- 17:40Speaker 1: while since we talked about him, right, Yeah, he's been
- 17:45Speaker 1: he's been healthy. Remember the battered Flacco For those who
- 17:48Speaker 1: don't know. In the previous uh incarnation of this podcast,
- 17:54Speaker 1: back when it was that on ESPN, Scooch and I
- 17:57Speaker 1: talked about uh he mentioned that Joe flat was battered,
- 18:00Speaker 1: and he said something like battered Flacco and struck us
- 18:04Speaker 1: is funny, and it struck a lot of people who
- 18:05Speaker 1: listen is funny. So we decided it sounded a little
- 18:08Speaker 1: bit like a fish, like a fish dish. So Scooch
- 18:10Speaker 1: actually asked the chef at The Orleans to make a
- 18:14Speaker 1: dish called battered Flacco, and uh he made what Scooch,
- 18:19Speaker 1: do you remember? I remember? Uh? Well, it wasn't It
- 18:22Speaker 1: turned out not to be a fish. It turned out
- 18:23Speaker 1: to like a like a flanks. Yeah, it was like
- 18:26Speaker 1: a flank steak Pinco crusted paint Pinco crusted uh fried
- 18:35Speaker 1: flank steak with a chimmy Churis sauce. Yeah, exactly. It
- 18:41Speaker 1: was the battered plaque. Yeah, it sounds amazing. I love that.
- 18:49Speaker 1: It was really good. Never got a chance to sample it. Um,
- 18:53Speaker 1: all right, so let me we'll move on because you've
- 18:56Speaker 1: done the right thing. Uh. And now that Hugh Jackson
- 18:59Speaker 1: is there, they're going to have to completely reconsider. Pittsburgh
- 19:02Speaker 1: Steelers five and a half point favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 19:05Speaker 1: The Steelers are a steam train, a roll in. Boy.
- 19:10Speaker 1: This game a month ago is like wow, talk about
- 19:14Speaker 1: what this game would have been a month ago, and
- 19:16Speaker 1: and just how much you've changed the ratings on both
- 19:18Speaker 1: of these teams. Steelers five and a half at Jacksonville righting. Yeah,
- 19:22Speaker 1: there's probably about a good five six point difference in
- 19:25Speaker 1: both numbers where we've adjusted Jacksonville down and the Steelers up,
- 19:31Speaker 1: so that this line probably would have been close to
- 19:34Speaker 1: a pick them or or minus one either side. But uh, definitely.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And we actually thought we were hanging this game high,
- 19:42Speaker 1: similar to last week when we when we hung the
- 19:44Speaker 1: Steelers high against the Panthers and the sharp guys took
- 19:48Speaker 1: took the Panthers and drove that line down. I thought
- 19:51Speaker 1: we were gonna be high on this one, and the
- 19:53Speaker 1: sharp guys are not driving it down. So as I'm
- 19:56Speaker 1: looking at it, I'm gonna go to six right now.
- 19:59Speaker 1: So it's six nice. You're going to six right now?
- 20:11Speaker 1: You want that wise guy money, You want that wise
- 20:13Speaker 1: guy money on the jacks. I have to keep moving
- 20:17Speaker 1: this one because we know where the where the public
- 20:19Speaker 1: is going to be on this one. Uh you know.
- 20:23Speaker 1: That's why bookmaking is a lot of just field. You
- 20:27Speaker 1: don't want to go too far. Like I just said
- 20:29Speaker 1: last week, we gave way too much back on the
- 20:31Speaker 1: on the home dogs to some of the sharp guys.
- 20:33Speaker 1: But I want to see at what point they'll take
- 20:35Speaker 1: that number. So you have to keep inching it up
- 20:38Speaker 1: to kind of see where that point of resistance is
- 20:40Speaker 1: and and so far I haven't seen it. So I'm
- 20:41Speaker 1: gonna keep going up. Hopefully I don't have to go
- 20:44Speaker 1: up to seven. But uh, well, we'll see what they
- 20:46Speaker 1: do with the six. I wonder if we'll get a
- 20:48Speaker 1: play like remember the last time we talked about this.
- 20:50Speaker 1: You change the number in like thirty seconds you started
- 20:53Speaker 1: getting hit and that should have been an indication and
- 20:56Speaker 1: it wasn't. That's why I said, I don't think we
- 20:58Speaker 1: did a great bookmaking job because right away interesting interesting, Yeah, alright,
- 21:05Speaker 1: carolinea minus four at Detroit another Look, you're tempting me here,
- 21:09Speaker 1: right like the Redskins. Um, you tempted me with Seattle
- 21:15Speaker 1: is a short less than a field goal favorite. You
- 21:18Speaker 1: hooked me with the Redskins at plus three, you did
- 21:21Speaker 1: not get me yet with Jacksonville a plus six, You're
- 21:24Speaker 1: not gonna get me at Detroit plus four. And the
- 21:28Speaker 1: public wants nothing to do with the Lions right now
- 21:31Speaker 1: that they've been drawing just fewer and fewer bets each week.
- 21:36Speaker 1: The Panthers, even with the laws against uh the Steelers
- 21:40Speaker 1: are drawing a lot of action from the public and
- 21:42Speaker 1: we're seeing about a five to one clip, So that
- 21:45Speaker 1: game really didn't sway too many of the betters. It's
- 21:49Speaker 1: just I guess I bet against Detroit more than bet
- 21:52Speaker 1: on the Panthers. But this is gonna be all Carolina.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I could see this number going up. I'm not going
- 21:57Speaker 1: to move it yet because we're pretty high in comparison
- 22:00Speaker 1: and to the rest of the numbers around town. I
- 22:02Speaker 1: think there's still some Caroline and minus three and a
- 22:04Speaker 1: half's out there. We're at minus four already, so we're high.
- 22:07Speaker 1: But I could see this line going up. It wouldn't
- 22:09Speaker 1: surprise me. When do you think the wise guys come
- 22:12Speaker 1: in and take the lines they're they're probably looking for
- 22:17Speaker 1: at least a four and a half or or or
- 22:20Speaker 1: five and a half. But uh, I mean they haven't
- 22:22Speaker 1: taken it yet. And uh and we've been at four
- 22:26Speaker 1: for a couple of days now, so it doesn't look
- 22:28Speaker 1: like they're gonna take the four. I mean, Jacksonville is
- 22:31Speaker 1: going to become one of those games. I'm looking back
- 22:33Speaker 1: at that number now comparing the two since they're right
- 22:36Speaker 1: next to each other. Um, yeah, it's gonna be one
- 22:39Speaker 1: of those games where, like Sunday morning, it's going to
- 22:42Speaker 1: be at six and a half or seven, and I'm
- 22:45Speaker 1: going to have to fight myself not to take that game. Well,
- 22:52Speaker 1: you know, we we hung the same line last week,
- 22:54Speaker 1: the Falcons and the Browns. If you remember that, the
- 22:56Speaker 1: Falcons were four point road favorite and we just kept
- 23:00Speaker 1: creeping up and then by game day it was six
- 23:02Speaker 1: and a half. So yeah, but the Steelers are much
- 23:04Speaker 1: better than the Falcons. I mean the Falcons stink. Yeah
- 23:10Speaker 1: that you just don't like the Falcons day, Well I don't. Um, Well,
- 23:15Speaker 1: it's just so obvious when they're going to be in
- 23:17Speaker 1: a bad spot and won't be able to produce, right,
- 23:20Speaker 1: and it's also obvious when they're going to be in
- 23:22Speaker 1: a good spot. There's never been a team to me
- 23:24Speaker 1: that is more transparent than the Falcons. For example, let's
- 23:28Speaker 1: move on to the next game. The Falcons are three
- 23:30Speaker 1: and a half point favorites at home. Of course, I'm
- 23:33Speaker 1: going to bet the Falcons like it's way out of
- 23:37Speaker 1: whack now, because you've got a Cowboys team that just
- 23:39Speaker 1: beat the Eagles in prime time, you've got a Falcon's
- 23:42Speaker 1: team that lost to the Browns. Like, of course, this
- 23:45Speaker 1: line is a little bit deflated. I'm going to bet
- 23:47Speaker 1: the Falcons like they're getting back at home. Like come on, yeah,
- 23:52Speaker 1: you look at this line just two weeks ago, and
- 23:54Speaker 1: you're looking at Falcons four and a half and and
- 23:57Speaker 1: probably moving up to five and a half. But one
- 24:02Speaker 1: game shouldn't make that much of a difference, you know,
- 24:04Speaker 1: the Falcons losing to the Browns and the Cowboys beating
- 24:08Speaker 1: the Eagles shouldn't be that big of an adjustment. So
- 24:12Speaker 1: three is right where the line really really should be.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I know, there's three three and a half. Um, the
- 24:18Speaker 1: public all kind of like seeing the Cowboys at a plus,
- 24:22Speaker 1: thinking that they're they're kind of a better team than
- 24:26Speaker 1: what they are based on one game, but uh, I
- 24:30Speaker 1: think the ticketcount will still be slightly favoring the Falcons
- 24:35Speaker 1: in this one. Can I wait on this game? Do
- 24:37Speaker 1: you think it'll go to three? Yeah? Yeah, So so
- 24:42Speaker 1: if you want to lay three, you can lay three.
- 24:44Speaker 1: You can probably lay three a couple of places already
- 24:47Speaker 1: right here in town. So all right, I'm gonna keep
- 24:50Speaker 1: an eye on that one. I love this next game.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Why are you laughing at me? I don't know? You
- 24:58Speaker 1: make me laugh? Do I amuse you? Like my clown.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I'm here for your amusement, my clown. You know it
- 25:10Speaker 1: would be funny what you and I should like do
- 25:16Speaker 1: a reenactment of that movie. Oh my god, I get
- 25:22Speaker 1: to be I get to be Ray Liotta and you
- 25:24Speaker 1: get to be Joe PESHI. Okay, just as there are scenes,
- 25:31Speaker 1: How funny would that be? That'd be hilarious. As soon
- 25:36Speaker 1: as soon as we stopped being a po dunk startup
- 25:39Speaker 1: and we get you know, legitimized, and we're huge, massive company.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I'm coming out there with like Marty Scorsese, I call
- 25:48Speaker 1: him Scorsese, but I'm coming out with Marty, probably Bobby,
- 25:53Speaker 1: Bobby d and um you know, they'll just be extras
- 25:58Speaker 1: and maybe we'll Murty do some DP work and we're
- 26:04Speaker 1: going to shoot the freak out of some of those
- 26:06Speaker 1: scenes right up until you get killed. That's a sad Yeah,
- 26:16Speaker 1: let's get that part. You know, that's no fun, no
- 26:20Speaker 1: fun at all. Um, Tennessee at Inannapolis. I see the
- 26:28Speaker 1: Colts is two points. What do you have interesting games? Yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 1: we have. We have the Colts at two and a
- 26:33Speaker 1: half and uh, actually I'm going to go down to
- 26:37Speaker 1: one and a half right now. Wise, guys are coming
- 26:43Speaker 1: here in Tennessee, right all over Tennessee. Freak me, man.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I saw this line open yesterday and I wanted to
- 26:50Speaker 1: bet it and I forgot. I love the Titans in
- 26:53Speaker 1: this game. Yeah, this is This is to me the
- 26:58Speaker 1: most intriguing game on the board, because how can you
- 27:02Speaker 1: not like Tennessee after the last couple of weeks and
- 27:06Speaker 1: especially with the you know, and I keep I don't.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I always say you can't put too much into just
- 27:11Speaker 1: one game, but this is back to back games where
- 27:13Speaker 1: Tennessee if if you know, Mariota is healthy, this team
- 27:17Speaker 1: is really good and they're going on the road. The
- 27:21Speaker 1: only thing we can hope for is a bit of
- 27:22Speaker 1: a letdown here. Uh. As soon as we made this
- 27:25Speaker 1: line just based on the on the power rankings and
- 27:29Speaker 1: you know the method that we used to come up
- 27:31Speaker 1: with the lines, we knew it was too high. So
- 27:34Speaker 1: we hung two and a half. Adjusting off, the line
- 27:38Speaker 1: came out three, and we just dropped it down to
- 27:40Speaker 1: two and a half. And the first bet out of
- 27:41Speaker 1: the gate when we hung the line Sunday night was
- 27:44Speaker 1: was Tennessee plus two and a half, and uh, yeah,
- 27:49Speaker 1: it just doesn't pass the eye test here. We know
- 27:51Speaker 1: that the public is going to be on Tennessee and
- 27:54Speaker 1: this is kind of our worst case where the public
- 27:56Speaker 1: and wise guys are on the same same team. So
- 27:59Speaker 1: we're gonna be in big Indianapolis fans, so might as
- 28:02Speaker 1: well move this game really quickly. I don't think Tennessee
- 28:06Speaker 1: is the type of team that has let downs. It
- 28:10Speaker 1: doesn't look like it. Huh. They don't look like a
- 28:13Speaker 1: team that they're just not. They don't seem like an
- 28:15Speaker 1: emotional team. You know, they have the makeup of their quarterback,
- 28:19Speaker 1: like Mariota. He's like a robot out there. And I'm
- 28:24Speaker 1: not saying he's like a great quarterback. Um, but I'm
- 28:27Speaker 1: saying he's a pretty unemotional quarterback, and Vrabel seems to
- 28:30Speaker 1: be pretty unemotional and pretty cool as a customer. And
- 28:36Speaker 1: so I'm not looking at a team that is going
- 28:39Speaker 1: to come out and be flat. I think they feel
- 28:42Speaker 1: like they're recognizing how good they can be and they're
- 28:46Speaker 1: playing an inferior team. Um, and this is a big
- 28:49Speaker 1: opportunity to advance the cause, especially suffering themselves from the
- 28:55Speaker 1: Jags and staying pace with the Texans because the Texans
- 28:59Speaker 1: will probably lose to the Reds and then all of
- 29:00Speaker 1: a sudden they're tied for first. I think that's how
- 29:02Speaker 1: they see this. I'm with you a percent. And uh,
- 29:08Speaker 1: there's a there's a few teams coming out of a
- 29:10Speaker 1: real big game where you just haven't seen those letdowns,
- 29:13Speaker 1: and these teams don't. There's no letdown anymore. And uh,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and but Tennessee is a team that seems to be
- 29:20Speaker 1: getting better and better each week. So I think, if anything,
- 29:23Speaker 1: they were inspired by the last week's win and they
- 29:26Speaker 1: may even come out better this week. I agree. Uh, Hey, listen,
- 29:29Speaker 1: we're coming up on the Corner TV game. It would
- 29:31Speaker 1: be this game if not for the game after this,
- 29:33Speaker 1: but Tampa Bay at the New York Giants. Giants are one.
- 29:38Speaker 1: They were picked yesterday obviously bookmakers afraid of the public
- 29:42Speaker 1: money coming in after they're huge, huge road win against
- 29:47Speaker 1: the Niners last night. Right, it was an entertaining game
- 29:53Speaker 1: to watch, but we we actually we hung the Giants
- 29:56Speaker 1: minus one and this one, and you're right, nobody's nobody's
- 30:00Speaker 1: gonna bet this one. Corner TV game, Buccaneers. I'm off
- 30:03Speaker 1: this Buccaneer team. They disappoint me. Disappoint me. But glad
- 30:07Speaker 1: to hear you say that, because you're not the kind
- 30:10Speaker 1: of guy who gets overly emotional, and so when you
- 30:13Speaker 1: say you're off a team, it means you're off a team.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and this is one of them, so your
- 30:23Speaker 1: face spent any time on it. Next game, well, the
- 30:32Speaker 1: next game really is a corner TV game. I think
- 30:36Speaker 1: Oakland Oakland Arizona. Arizona is a four point favorite. They
- 30:41Speaker 1: really are the corner TV game. We just wonder how
- 30:46Speaker 1: much we have to keep adjusting the Raiders because now
- 30:50Speaker 1: people just automatically put whoever the Raiders are playing, that's
- 30:54Speaker 1: the first team in their parlay. It's it's like the
- 30:57Speaker 1: it's like the free spot on your Bingo card in
- 30:59Speaker 1: this of the car we have we have I'm not
- 31:02Speaker 1: kidding you. We have six tickets on the Raiders. Seriously, six,
- 31:09Speaker 1: it's worth And that's an instant tweet right there. That's
- 31:15Speaker 1: that's what that is. Do you know what twitter is?
- 31:18Speaker 1: I've heard of it. Yeah, Um, that is in sane. Well, look,
- 31:25Speaker 1: Derek Carr now continues to have a habit of throwing
- 31:29Speaker 1: the ball away and spiking it on fourth down. Yeah,
- 31:37Speaker 1: what do you do about the Raiders? Like, how much
- 31:39Speaker 1: have you adjusted them at this point? Uh? Well, it's
- 31:44Speaker 1: another point point in a half each week just based
- 31:48Speaker 1: on I mean, they're not even. They're not even in
- 31:51Speaker 1: these games. Um, and that's at some point we're just
- 31:56Speaker 1: trying to keep adjusting until we get some money on
- 31:59Speaker 1: the Raiders. There was no eyes guy money on the
- 32:00Speaker 1: Raiders last week, and that's that's scary, you know. And
- 32:04Speaker 1: and crossing over ten ten and a half, eleven eleven
- 32:08Speaker 1: and a half, I mean these are big, big numbers
- 32:10Speaker 1: and they were you know, on the at home and
- 32:13Speaker 1: getting that and when the sharp guys aren't taking it,
- 32:16Speaker 1: then that's a real problem. Yeah. I mean, as we know,
- 32:21Speaker 1: I'm a sharp and I didn't bet the Raiders a
- 32:24Speaker 1: plus ten last weekend, but were the wise guys betting
- 32:28Speaker 1: the Chargers at minus ten last weekend? Uh? Towards the
- 32:33Speaker 1: It was on game day, so there was there were
- 32:36Speaker 1: some bets on the UH, but it wasn't. It wasn't overwhelming.
- 32:40Speaker 1: You know, there's different levels of the sharp guys coming in.
- 32:42Speaker 1: They have different opinions. You know, they have real strong
- 32:45Speaker 1: opinions when they come in just blasting with both fists,
- 32:48Speaker 1: and then there's some that is just kind of more
- 32:50Speaker 1: or less a taste. And so it wasn't. It wasn't
- 32:53Speaker 1: full place. But they were more on the on the
- 32:56Speaker 1: Chargers than they weren't on the Raiders at all. So
- 32:58Speaker 1: if they were standing at a buffet a, it's not
- 33:00Speaker 1: like they're going two plates and piling it on. It's
- 33:03Speaker 1: more like it's like they're gonna try it, knowing that
- 33:07Speaker 1: they can go back if they like it a lot.
- 33:09Speaker 1: There you go, that's a good analogy. What do they
- 33:12Speaker 1: call that a soup song? You get to fancy? I mean,
- 33:17Speaker 1: so s O U P C O N with that
- 33:20Speaker 1: sort of interesting accident over the sea. Okay, speaking of
- 33:25Speaker 1: the Chargers, UH, you know what, Listen, I've tried to
- 33:30Speaker 1: bring some class to this podcast. Like remember when we
- 33:37Speaker 1: had the long discussion about stream music. Do you remember
- 33:41Speaker 1: that it's lovely? Right, yeah, a little classical music. Now
- 33:46Speaker 1: you're hitting me with two songs. Look at you knowing
- 33:49Speaker 1: how to pronounce him Denver on the road of the
- 33:52Speaker 1: l A Chargers. The Chargers are minus seven Chargers team.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I've been on them all season long, all season long.
- 34:02Speaker 1: You are ahead of the curve? What I do you are?
- 34:07Speaker 1: And uh, actually I'm I'm actually moving a money line
- 34:12Speaker 1: now up to minus four dollars because as we're as
- 34:15Speaker 1: we're talking, we're getting some big bets. Are you really
- 34:18Speaker 1: on the Charges yet? What kind of money I like
- 34:24Speaker 1: to win? To win ten thousand on money line? Whoa, yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 1: ten nights, yeah, smackaroneys. Yeah, that's a lot of kick
- 34:37Speaker 1: of cash. That a size Johnny, you know, size Johnny.
- 34:46Speaker 1: So that I agree with you on this Charger team.
- 34:49Speaker 1: They are just like the Steelers in the public's mind
- 34:52Speaker 1: right now. They're just gonna keep laying these numbers on
- 34:54Speaker 1: the Chargers until until they disappoint them. And U, yep, no,
- 35:03Speaker 1: but but but what are the wise guys gonna do
- 35:06Speaker 1: here because that line feels big. They're not. You know,
- 35:12Speaker 1: they did take the seven early in the week. They
- 35:15Speaker 1: took UH seven even money. We went to plus seven
- 35:18Speaker 1: minus twenty early on. But it's been all Chargers since,
- 35:22Speaker 1: mainly from from the public. But now the sharp guys
- 35:27Speaker 1: have kind of slowed down, and if anything, there's more
- 35:30Speaker 1: more money on the Chargers, even from the uh even
- 35:33Speaker 1: from the wise guys on this one. So this is
- 35:34Speaker 1: gonna be interesting. I'm not gonna get off seven. I'm
- 35:37Speaker 1: just gonna just gonna move the money on this one. Um,
- 35:41Speaker 1: we did get a pretty big bet on, like I
- 35:43Speaker 1: just said, on the money line, so um, they at
- 35:48Speaker 1: least see that they're not going to lose the games.
- 35:50Speaker 1: And that was from that was from a pretty sharp guy. Wow,
- 35:55Speaker 1: but I don't see the Broncos. But I mean, I
- 35:57Speaker 1: could only hope that we get a couple of seven
- 35:58Speaker 1: point underdogs winning the games straight up again like we
- 36:01Speaker 1: did last week. But I don't. I don't see it
- 36:03Speaker 1: in this one. Well, I didn't bet the game yet,
- 36:05Speaker 1: you know, so I'm just saying white chuckling at me.
- 36:13Speaker 1: You've bet a lot of games. I bet two games,
- 36:16Speaker 1: so far today. I bet the reds I bet the
- 36:18Speaker 1: Redskins plus three, and I also bet the Seattle Seahawks. Right,
- 36:25Speaker 1: that's what I did. But the Seahawks and I bet.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Seems like you said you're gonna be betting. That's that's
- 36:30Speaker 1: what probably. I feel like I'm probably gonna bet the Falcons,
- 36:34Speaker 1: but I want to get it at three. I would
- 36:36Speaker 1: like to bet the Titans, but I feel like I've
- 36:38Speaker 1: missed the best of the number. Um, this one is
- 36:42Speaker 1: interesting to me. The New Orleans Saints. Uh required comment
- 36:49Speaker 1: that I bought them as a super Bowl favorite at
- 36:51Speaker 1: eighteen to one. There now at six to one. Correct, yep, yep, right,
- 36:55Speaker 1: I bought him at eighteen one. Who does that? Wise, guys,
- 36:59Speaker 1: they're eight point favorites over the Eagles. I I don't
- 37:03Speaker 1: see anybody bettering the Eagles in this game. Wise, guys
- 37:06Speaker 1: are gonna stay away from it. Fans are gonna bet
- 37:08Speaker 1: the Saints. Absolutely, it's a it's another game, just like
- 37:12Speaker 1: the Chargers. You're gonna laying huge points. People are gonna
- 37:16Speaker 1: be all over the the Saints. They're gonna tease them
- 37:20Speaker 1: down to one or two, and they're gonna bet the
- 37:22Speaker 1: Saints on the money line. Um, you know, everything is
- 37:26Speaker 1: just pointing towards the Saints. I mean they've cracked up
- 37:29Speaker 1: fifty points last week and and there's no let down
- 37:33Speaker 1: in this uh Saints team, even coming off of big
- 37:36Speaker 1: wins like against the Rams and um, so the public
- 37:40Speaker 1: is just gonna ride this train too. So if it
- 37:43Speaker 1: comes in, Saints, Steelers and Chargers were cooked. Saints, Steelers
- 37:50Speaker 1: and Chargers, the three team deadly partlay Saints, Steelers and Chargers.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Those are gonna be really big favorites. UM On Sunday,
- 38:01Speaker 1: Oh my god, you are in trouble. I feel like
- 38:07Speaker 1: we are coming our best Sunday. We're just gonna give
- 38:10Speaker 1: it all back next week. Oh my god. Well, let's
- 38:12Speaker 1: talk about the biggest game of the weekend, the biggest
- 38:15Speaker 1: game of the year so far. Monday Night football. Kansas
- 38:23Speaker 1: City Chiefs visiting the lot. While not visiting, they're playing
- 38:26Speaker 1: in the Los Angeles Rams in Mexico City. The field
- 38:30Speaker 1: looks atrocious. The air quality is disgusting. The elevation is
- 38:37Speaker 1: seventy five hundred feet. The Rams defense is not very good.
- 38:46Speaker 1: They do not have pass rushers. Marcus Peters I think
- 38:50Speaker 1: is a fraud. He was traded by the guy he's
- 38:54Speaker 1: playing against because they know how bad he is. Give
- 38:59Speaker 1: me the Kansas City Chiefs. Plus the public agrees with you.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I'm I'm a little shocked at how how fickle the
- 39:13Speaker 1: public can be sometimes as as much as we need. Whoever,
- 39:17Speaker 1: the Rams are playing every single week, and for them
- 39:21Speaker 1: to be on the Chiefs at about a four to
- 39:23Speaker 1: one clip here, um tells me, I'll take the Rams
- 39:28Speaker 1: really really yeah, yeah no. The only thing, honestly, the
- 39:34Speaker 1: field concerns me because when you have a team that, uh,
- 39:37Speaker 1: that relies on the type of offense that you need
- 39:40Speaker 1: some good footing and that that does that, that is
- 39:43Speaker 1: a little bit of a concern. And we've seen it
- 39:46Speaker 1: in the past in Mexico City with some of the
- 39:49Speaker 1: games down there where it's like playing on on mud,
- 39:52Speaker 1: So that that concerns me. But otherwise I think I
- 39:55Speaker 1: like the Rams. Here. Oh my god, you've just so
- 40:01Speaker 1: completely thrown me for a loop, Like I was so
- 40:05Speaker 1: ready to go all in on casey. I'm so anti
- 40:08Speaker 1: the Rams defense right now. Yeah yeah, I could. I mean,
- 40:13Speaker 1: I could see you. You made a good point about
- 40:15Speaker 1: how they you know, they make a lot of these games,
- 40:17Speaker 1: a lot closer than what they should be the Rams.
- 40:19Speaker 1: You know what the Rams offense can do, but um,
- 40:24Speaker 1: a lot of these games, even against very weak teams,
- 40:27Speaker 1: are a lot closer than what they should be. I mean,
- 40:29Speaker 1: the Rams should be winning like the Saints are winning,
- 40:32Speaker 1: you know, by thirty five points. Also, the Chiefs defense
- 40:36Speaker 1: is just getting so much better. Yeah, they started out
- 40:40Speaker 1: a little slow, but they are improving every week. That's
- 40:45Speaker 1: I mean, it's you sure about the Rams? Yeah? Yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I like the Rams. Yeah, well, then why don't we
- 40:58Speaker 1: put uh your metal to the test and play like
- 41:02Speaker 1: a little game I like to call scooch Roulette. Okay.
- 41:15Speaker 1: I wish that there was a way to vote for
- 41:19Speaker 1: UH music in podcasts. Do they have like podcast awards?
- 41:23Speaker 1: I'm looking at the two hipster mats, like who produced
- 41:26Speaker 1: the podcast? Do they have podcast awards for best interstitial music?
- 41:33Speaker 1: They said no, I don't have that. Well they should.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Let's let's get a writing campaign going. I think we
- 41:39Speaker 1: I think we we put a lot of thought in
- 41:41Speaker 1: time into that music. We want this to be sort
- 41:43Speaker 1: of candy for the ears, and I feel like, uh,
- 41:48Speaker 1: I feel like they did a really nice job on that.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I just want to commend them publicly. Yeah. Hey, just incidentally,
- 41:55Speaker 1: not to change the subject, but we are taking some
- 41:57Speaker 1: bets on Jacksonville a plus six, so we uh, you know,
- 42:01Speaker 1: we did move that line from five and a half
- 42:02Speaker 1: to six early in the podcast, and we took some
- 42:06Speaker 1: some pretty big pets. So that's good. It's good to
- 42:09Speaker 1: know you felt like that news was more important than
- 42:13Speaker 1: acknowledging the people who produced the podcast. No, I'm sorry,
- 42:19Speaker 1: Matt's I think Scooch is getting a really big head.
- 42:25Speaker 1: What is your what is your Scooch Roulette? Pick you
- 42:32Speaker 1: go first? You one? Last week I pushed I had Jacksonville. Okay,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I might have to just go with the Rams. Oh no,
- 42:44Speaker 1: oh my god. Yeah, I can't believe you did that.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Why that is just such a high profile, Like you're
- 42:55Speaker 1: gonna have so much on that game. It's gonna it's
- 42:59Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna be thinking about that game and then
- 43:01Speaker 1: you're gonna be like, I need the Rams so badly,
- 43:04Speaker 1: and then I also got them in screw Roulette. If
- 43:06Speaker 1: I leave this game, it's going to be like a
- 43:08Speaker 1: double whammy. Wammy whammy, no wammy, Yep, it will ye. Yeah,
- 43:18Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, it's tough. Uh, I think I'm
- 43:28Speaker 1: I like the Redskins plus three, but the Texans off
- 43:31Speaker 1: by I think the Texans are so overvalued here, Hugh
- 43:37Speaker 1: Jackson is really making me consider the Bengals. No matter
- 43:39Speaker 1: what the number is, Um, what line are you seeing there?
- 43:45Speaker 1: Someone's got to post it at five and a half?
- 43:49Speaker 1: Dumb dumbs. God, I love Tennessee. Tennessee looks good, don't.
- 43:57Speaker 1: I just couldn't. I would have I would have played them,
- 43:59Speaker 1: but I just you know, I screwed myself out of
- 44:02Speaker 1: a point. I went from one two and a half
- 44:05Speaker 1: down one and a half, So no no value there.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I don't like it. I don't like it. I only
- 44:10Speaker 1: liked it at two and a half. I think I'm
- 44:14Speaker 1: gonna go with the Falcons. Are you at three or
- 44:17Speaker 1: three and a half. I'm at three months twenty, so
- 44:20Speaker 1: all right, I'm going with the Falcons and minus three.
- 44:22Speaker 1: There you go. That is called scrutinizing. It's called shopping,
- 44:27Speaker 1: called doing the best thing you can do to make
- 44:28Speaker 1: the best possible decision. This has been the favorite podcast
