- 0:40being patient with those few who listen.
- 0:42Thank you so much. Yes, absolutely.
- 0:45And you know, before we start, we always start with a prayer,
- 0:48of course. So God, thank you so much for
- 0:52just allowing us to be here, guide us and lead us into the
- 0:56absolute truth. And may this podcast reach those
- 1:03who are hungry or maybe have this type of question in mind or
- 1:09are new to the faith, or I just pray that it reaches those years
- 1:14old Lord. Amen.
- 1:16Amen. OK.
- 1:18So what we have for today, I mean, for those listening, you
- 1:21know, follow us on Spotify, subscribe, press that
- 1:24notification so you know, when that podcast comes, an episode
- 1:27comes out. And So what we have for you
- 1:32today or tonight, should I say, we're going to talk.
- 1:36About ambition. Yes, ambition, probably
- 1:41something that, oh man, it's especially for men.
- 1:46You know, women too. No, of course women too, but you
- 1:49know, well, I don't know if maybe it's because my social
- 1:52media feedback is just mostly men like, you know, stuff for.
- 1:55Men, you'd be surprised. There's a lot of really women
- 1:58out there entrepreneurial. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they
- 2:01absolutely had. No, I've seen, I've met some
- 2:03women that I guess you can say have that healthy
- 2:07entrepreneurial mindset and I've seen some of that.
- 2:09I'm like, all right, it's too much.
- 2:11What do you mean? Like it's almost like they want
- 2:14to take the role of the man as well on top of that.
- 2:17Yeah, I know. I'm like masculine energy.
- 2:20Right, right. But I've seen some women that
- 2:22have entrepreneur mindset, but they still know the role that
- 2:25they're a mom, they're they're a woman.
- 2:27But besides all that, the word ambition, it's literally like a
- 2:34word, an action that we see all the time, everyday.
- 2:39Especially where we live. Yeah, absolutely.
- 2:41And the opportunities that we have here and everything, yeah,
- 2:45now. We're almost like set up to it,
- 2:47yeah. Exactly, exactly.
- 2:48From like chat from, like, you know, preschool all the way to
- 2:52high school. What do you want to be when you
- 2:54grow up? It's always about ambition,
- 2:56always. And it blows my mind to when I
- 3:01hear Christians talk about their ambition and I'm almost like so.
- 3:07I know that feeling all too well.
- 3:09Oh, about ambition. Oh, especially you.
- 3:11You, you're a business owner, so I can imagine ambition like
- 3:18always trying to seep in every day, right?
- 3:20Well, I mean, it's never, I mean it always, how do I say this?
- 3:29It always wasn't as a business owner because I own, I'm a
- 3:33contractor now, but even in the music scene.
- 3:38Oh, and the music scene too. How is that ambition different
- 3:40from article contracting? Well, because as a business
- 3:44owner, you're still striving for the game.
- 3:47Yeah. You know, trying to improvise,
- 3:50how to make, you know, more money and all that stuff.
- 3:55And the music is the same. You want to be the best, right?
- 3:58Right. You want to prove yourself,
- 4:01right? There is a business side of it
- 4:03too as well, in the music. In the music scene, especially
- 4:06if you're on your own, you still need to know certain things
- 4:09about business in the music world.
- 4:10Yeah. How things work and stuff like
- 4:12that. Networking is the same thing in
- 4:16this, in the music, in the music world, right?
- 4:19The thing is that in the, in, in that world, you also meet rich
- 4:22people who sponsor these events and these venues where you get
- 4:27to play the music and you get to meet famous people and stuff
- 4:30like that. Or you at least in the proximity
- 4:32of it. Yeah.
- 4:33And so these musicians go hardcore with the hope that they
- 4:40would play for a celebrity. Right.
- 4:43Right as as close as I, I was, I met the a Co director of Alicia
- 4:48Keys and randomly too. Quite honestly, I wasn't even
- 4:51networking. I was just random.
- 4:53I was, I was in the Guitar Center and I was just I was
- 4:56playing keys and then he just heard how I was how I was
- 4:58playing. Then I was like, oh, it's not my
- 4:59main instrument. I play the sax and he's like,
- 5:02oh, the same content, stuff like that.
- 5:04And I was like, what? Oh really too.
- 5:06I was just like, she's like you. It's so it's so weird you
- 5:09haven't bumped into Alicia Keys cause Paramus, apparently she
- 5:12has some place around over there.
- 5:14She's a rich town. Oh yeah.
- 5:17And apparently she randomly pops up in and out.
- 5:20That's it, yeah. Anyways, but yeah, you that is
- 5:23as as close as I got to in the secular world.
- 5:27Yeah. Another thing too, I auditioned
- 5:31to play for MSNBC, one of the news channels, network channels,
- 5:36and I auditioned, I got it, but I got like intervened.
- 5:42Oh yeah, yeah. How do I feel?
- 5:46Annoying. Very annoying.
- 5:49Yeah. Yeah, it was very annoying.
- 5:51Right, right. So you saw this pattern of.
- 5:54Isn't him intervening constantly right?
- 5:56I got it. We were going to play in the
- 5:58live show, basically an opening band for something, and I got
- 6:03it. But then something happened in
- 6:05church because I'm a APK, meaning pastor kid.
- 6:09And I was kind of conflicted because I felt like I was
- 6:12between the sword and a wall and know what to do.
- 6:16And my parents actually no go. I'm like, it was, it blew my
- 6:21mind. I'm like, because remember, you
- 6:23know, they want the they want you to achieve great things.
- 6:27Yeah, especially if you're in America, being from immigrant
- 6:30parents, right, You know? Yeah, yeah, I was.
- 6:35Like what do I do? And I prayed and I got the
- 6:39answer no. No, right?
- 6:42Yeah, multiple times. Really.
- 6:45Again, I don't know if I've gone deep, but just an example.
- 6:48I don't want to spend too much on this, but basically I've
- 6:53always wanted to do things for God, so I would, with my
- 6:58ambition, dictate what to do with God.
- 7:01So every single time you said? And I was always like, so that
- 7:04would always put me always in a, in a, in a place of partial
- 7:08disobedience, right. I would miss out on something
- 7:10much more cooler that he probably had for me.
- 7:12And I just, I wanted to do my own thing.
- 7:15Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 7:15You always wanted to involve yourself.
- 7:17So I know that all too well, especially when you want to
- 7:20dictate what to do for God with your ambition.
- 7:23Absolutely. It doesn't work that way.
- 7:26Anyone that tries to receive their own ambition and saying
- 7:29like, oh, I'm gonna do this for God, are you really now?
- 7:32Yeah. Do you?
- 7:33Do you know the intentions of your heart?
- 7:35And then there was another time. I'm sorry to interrupt.
- 7:37Yeah. Then I really know the
- 7:39intentions of your heart. Exactly.
- 7:40Then before all of this, you know, the park has a non profit
- 7:44book, all that stuff. I was working on an app.
- 7:47Yeah. Reach out to a friend who does
- 7:49coding. I'm not going to say her name,
- 7:52obviously, but she was helping me out because I had this idea.
- 7:57Again, remember ideas so that that entrepreneurial thing was
- 8:00always there because even in the music scene, you have to
- 8:03exercise that as well. It doesn't matter in what area
- 8:08of expertise, you're always going to explore
- 8:11entrepreneurship. Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:14To A to a certain extent in regards to creativity, putting
- 8:16yourself out there, taking risks and all that stuff.
- 8:20Yeah, right. No, anything that you do like,
- 8:24like for example, like all these projects that God has for us,
- 8:27you know, ambition can seep in if we're not careful, of course,
- 8:32you know. And so basically this whole
- 8:36topic that we're talking about is ambition.
- 8:39Ambition is a sin. It, it is a sin.
- 8:44Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now any anytime.
- 8:48Others would would say otherwise.
- 8:50Oh yeah, others would like, you know, I know some people come
- 8:52out with books about this stuff, but I say ambition is a sin.
- 8:57Anything inevitably ends up. Inevitably, yes.
- 9:00To, to, to sin. Yes, sinful acts, Absolutely.
- 9:04Absolutely. At any point that ambition
- 9:09starts to override, you are going to turn your back away
- 9:12from God 100%. Well, how it how it starts to
- 9:15happen is you start to say no, I'm doing this for you, God.
- 9:18Yeah. At first it doesn't seem
- 9:21harmful. Right.
- 9:25But along the way, you start to justify yourself to why you're
- 9:30doing it. Yeah.
- 9:31Proving yourself why this is the Kingdom.
- 9:35Yeah. Or why wouldn't God bless you,
- 9:39Right? I mean, come on.
- 9:40We're thinking about this because we're Americans.
- 9:42We're here in America. Yeah.
- 9:43Yeah, exactly. You know what I mean.
- 9:45Exactly. Versus someone in India was a
- 9:49Christian. Do you think they're thinking
- 9:50this way? No.
- 9:52You suddenly get water or food. You're praising God.
- 9:55Right. So, yeah, and.
- 9:57Then we're over here thinking like if we have this amount of
- 10:00our in our account, oh God, you are good.
- 10:02You are great. Yeah.
- 10:04You know what is a fortunate thing is that if you it's it's.
- 10:09It's foolproof. If you put an existential amount
- 10:12of work, there should be no reason why at some point you
- 10:17shouldn't see some success. Yeah, that's logical.
- 10:19It's. Logical.
- 10:19Exactly. So that's a good point that you
- 10:21made. And have we spoken about this
- 10:23before? There are those like blessings
- 10:25that are artificial and there are those blessings that are
- 10:27organic. Yeah, I.
- 10:29Don't know if we've gone so deep into that, but yeah.
- 10:32Right. So like an artificial blessing
- 10:33would be like, let's just say I get fired from my job and I go
- 10:38apply for like 50 different I, I apply for 50 different jobs.
- 10:44At least one of them are going to come through.
- 10:46You know what? I.
- 10:46Mean no more than. You know what I mean?
- 10:48So obviously that's going to be an artificial blessing.
- 10:51It's a. System.
- 10:51It's already system. It's systemized exactly.
- 10:53It's the same as true as if like we know like at least I know
- 10:56what to do to to take this, if you will this.
- 10:59Podcast to the next. Level I know exactly what Oh
- 11:02yeah yeah and I can just reach out to my cousin be like yo
- 11:04let's do this you know what I. Mean no.
- 11:06Everything I remember, I remember you.
- 11:07You were explaining to me how we can grow this.
- 11:10Podcast Trust me. And it sounds awesome.
- 11:12It sounds legit because it's possible, Yeah, you know, but.
- 11:16It's not organic. It's not.
- 11:17It's very artificial because it's already there.
- 11:19Yes. Right, it's systematized.
- 11:21Right, right. Yeah.
- 11:24But here we are organically. Yes.
- 11:27To those who listen. Will listen exactly.
- 11:29So that's what you mean, right? Absolutely no, no, no.
- 11:32Absolutely. Like, like everything we do, you
- 11:35know right here. Like the podcasts, the book, the
- 11:38organization, and the clothing, right?
- 11:42Everything that we're doing, I want to do it very organically,
- 11:46impatient, like very patiently, because I know that these
- 11:50things, I know they're sacred and they're something very pure.
- 11:55And honestly, I even want to say like holy because I meant
- 11:59something that fell into our hands organically.
- 12:02I would never want to put like pesticides or stuff like that to
- 12:05make this thing grow, you know what I mean?
- 12:07Unless. Unless along the way God in in a
- 12:12way permits it. Yeah, makes it known.
- 12:14Makes it known. OK, Absolutely.
- 12:17But yeah, I do understand what you mean.
- 12:18No, no, yeah, yeah. Like, like we can literally go
- 12:20out of our way. Like when you explain to me how
- 12:23to grow this podcast, we can literally go whatever way,
- 12:25invest our money into this and then, boom, make it grow
- 12:27quickly, easily, very easily. But then where's the faith in
- 12:31that? Where's the beauty?
- 12:33In that means we're trusting on our ability to do things, which,
- 12:37again, not necessarily a bad thing.
- 12:42There is an ability that you attain after you do a couple
- 12:46things multiple times. Yeah, it becomes a skill.
- 12:49It does. That's logical.
- 12:50It's right. Right.
- 12:50Right. It's when you then decide to put
- 12:56yourself at the forefront rather than letting God control.
- 12:59Absolutely. That's what I'm trying.
- 13:01To say absolutely, like I've seen Christians do marketing on
- 13:04Instagram and then they're like, they're like, I forgot what's
- 13:08his name. There's like a Kingdom Kingdom.
- 13:10I'm sorry about that. There's like a Kingdom summit or
- 13:12something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:14He's like, he's like, stop the video.
- 13:16This is a supernatural calling. I'm like, no, man, come on.
- 13:19You just promoted your advertising.
- 13:21When they do that. Yeah.
- 13:22Come on bro, like that's crazy. Yeah, right.
- 13:25Let's be. Real if I was to do that, I'm a
- 13:26I'm literally be honest the guy. This is an ad all right.
- 13:30Like exactly this is what I'm doing.
- 13:33Yeah, man. I literally would never say this
- 13:35is supernatural calling. No, I'm just gonna say listen, I
- 13:37write. Throughout my studies I found
- 13:39gaps on regards to learning scripture.
- 13:43I just made a course to help you guys out.
- 13:45Yeah, and it costs as much. As much and with this much
- 13:48amount of money, I'm going to give some to nonprofit.
- 13:51You know, you just. And I have to leave it to that.
- 13:53I have to, I have to leave it to them to give me the benefit of
- 13:56the doubt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because.
- 13:57There's some believers out there scamming and there's some
- 13:59believers who are genuine, who are genuine.
- 14:01I'm not going to take that away from some believers.
- 14:03No, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a chaotic world.
- 14:06It's a swampy world. It is.
- 14:08It really is and it's so sad. We, we got to the point, we get
- 14:12to the point that when, let's say a nonprofit comes to a
- 14:15church, right, right. They have to convince the
- 14:17audience. That's another one that.
- 14:19Isn't that isn't that crazy? You have to convince a bunch of
- 14:22believers to help poor people like.
- 14:24Really, you have to go through a huge story.
- 14:27Like a huge story. Just to just to donate 5 bucks.
- 14:30If you don't want to donate, don't donate, don't donate.
- 14:32If you're going to donate, donate, right.
- 14:34It's like, I don't know, that's another thing too.
- 14:36Like if, if I was given that, I presume, like, All right, guys,
- 14:38I'm here. We're all believers here.
- 14:40We know our duty. Yep.
- 14:42These people need help. Here's a cure code.
- 14:44If you want to donate. It would greatly help us.
- 14:49And if you guys ever want progress on what we're doing,
- 14:53shoot us an e-mail. We'll send you a video.
- 14:55Yeah, whatever. There you go.
- 14:56That's it. Simple.
- 14:57I don't understand. Yeah, you have to convince you.
- 15:00Have to do like some huge storyline.
- 15:04Exactly. Kind of like a a sad story.
- 15:09And. You know, touch your heart.
- 15:11Yeah, yeah, man. Like, come on.
- 15:12To a believer. To a believer, to a believer,
- 15:15that's crazy. Wow.
- 15:17No, it's true. It's very true what it says,
- 15:19man. Now right there is this there is
- 15:23this Bible verse, OK, that maybe some people listening to this
- 15:27are going to be like, oh wait, but what about that verse that
- 15:30it says in like Psalms 3734 where God will give you like
- 15:39what is in your heart, he will give you like the desires of
- 15:41your. Heart.
- 15:43Yeah, that's in Psalm 37 verse. 4 there's 34 or 4.
- 15:49No. Chapter 37, Verse 4.
- 15:52Oh, OK. And I just looked for it when
- 15:55you were mentioning that, and I'm going to read it first.
- 15:59Just a verse. Four.
- 16:00OK, right. Because I don't want to spend
- 16:02too much time here, I would say, but delight yourself in the Lord
- 16:07keyword delight and he will give you the desires of your heart,
- 16:13right? The keyword I can delight at
- 16:16face value here. You you take it like you think
- 16:19He's going to give you everything you want.
- 16:21Right at face, Yeah. Face value.
- 16:22Yeah, exactly. But let's read what verse one
- 16:27says. Do not get upset because of evil
- 16:29doers. OK, you will do it.
- 16:32Sometimes we complain about the justice.
- 16:34Why does that person get to do that?
- 16:35Blah blah blah. Do not envy.
- 16:40Be envious of wrongdoers. As a business owner, do you know
- 16:43how much wicked stuff other entrepreneurs do?
- 16:46Yeah, get up there. Yeah, it can get really
- 16:48bothersome. Like I'm like.
- 16:50Come on, man. Oh yeah, it can get very dirty
- 16:51in there. Yeah, and then.
- 16:52But then here comes verse 2. For they will wither quickly
- 16:55like grass and decay like green plants.
- 16:58OK, so there's a you see the speed at which they go?
- 17:01Yeah, doesn't. There's no firmness.
- 17:05Right, right, right, right. And the decay, OK, so then verse
- 17:072 says trust in the Lord. Here's another keyword.
- 17:09Trust in the Lord and do good. OK, Live in the land and
- 17:15cultivate faithfulness. OK, So it's, you know, to
- 17:20cultivate, right? To process.
- 17:22Right, right, right. It's a process, right?
- 17:24Yes, cultivating faithfulness is a process.
- 17:27It's like, it's like, you know, you're not going to be faithful
- 17:29100% all the time. It's a cultivation, so it's a
- 17:32process. You're moving forward. 100% then
- 17:34it says delight yourself in the Lord.
- 17:36So in this process of cultivating your faithfulness,
- 17:40the assumption is that you've already gone through a process.
- 17:42You now know how to delight yourself in God because of that
- 17:46cultivation that's been going on in faithfulness, and He will now
- 17:50give you the desires of the heart.
- 17:52Now are the desires of your heart the same?
- 17:55You walking and thinking in the Spirit versus walking and
- 17:59thinking in the flesh. Are those desires the same?
- 18:02No, they're 2 completely different things. 2 completely
- 18:04different things. Because it sounds like that
- 18:06person that when God gives them the desires of their heart is
- 18:09because they're literally walking and thinking in the
- 18:13Spirit, right? That's what it sounds like.
- 18:15It sounds like a faithful believer, one that pushes and
- 18:18pushes and pushes and washes the rope daily, and it's not
- 18:21thinking about the things of the world.
- 18:23But also understands the difference between walking and
- 18:26thinking in the spirit. Yeah, versus walking and
- 18:28thinking in the flesh. 100%. This person now knows the
- 18:31difference. Yeah, between it's conscious and
- 18:34subconscious, right? I don't want to go too deep,
- 18:36right? You never know, Maybe this
- 18:38episode could be Part 2. But then here we go on verse 5.
- 18:42Commit your way to the Lord, right?
- 18:47Yeah. Trust also in Him and He will do
- 18:52it. He will bring out your
- 18:54righteousness as the light right?
- 18:57That means your salt. They will know you by your
- 18:59fruits. Yep, OK.
- 19:01He will bring OK and your judgement as noonday judgement
- 19:05in this case, feedback, constructive criticism.
- 19:08Right. Absolutely.
- 19:11No, no, I totally get what you're saying.
- 19:13Yeah, You know what? I mean, so if you just read
- 19:15verse 4, he's going to give me everything I want, right?
- 19:18But if you read it all together, that's not what it's really
- 19:21saying. No, it's not.
- 19:22It's not what I mean. That literally sounds like
- 19:24someone walking faithfully and moving forward in the faith.
- 19:27So he has that cultivation of faithfulness is what Paul says.
- 19:31Let this be your ambition. Stay quiet.
- 19:34Yes. So you're moving on to 1st
- 19:37through the oceans, right? Four, one through 12, right.
- 19:40Say that again first through the oceans for chapter 4, verse one
- 19:46through 12, right? Right.
- 19:48Where it literally talks about like where Paul literally says
- 19:51make this your ambition. What is it first two?
- 19:54Illusions. I'm sorry, First Illusions
- 19:55chapter 4, verse 1 to 12. Right.
- 20:00OK, keep going. So it literally says like, make
- 20:03this your ambition to be quiet, not getting involved in the
- 20:08noise of the world. In other words, like minding
- 20:11your own business and working with your own hands, right,
- 20:14Right. Make this your ambition, living
- 20:16a quiet life. Right, right.
- 20:18So yeah, it says here in verse 11.
- 20:21I'll read from verse nine. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:22Go for now as to the love of brothers and sisters, you have
- 20:25no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are
- 20:28taught by God to love one another, right?
- 20:30That seems to be a common sense thing.
- 20:32Once you're under grace. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:33For indeed you practice it towards all the brothers and
- 20:37sisters who are in Macedonia, right, Which is somewhere around
- 20:40Albania now these days. But we urge you, brothers and
- 20:43sisters to excel even more, right they we're encouraged to
- 20:47push further and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life.
- 20:53OK. Attend to your own business.
- 20:55Right. Uh huh.
- 20:57And work with your hands, Amen, Just as instructed to you, so
- 21:01that you will behave properly toward outsiders.
- 21:03That's the righteousness that come out, whatever Psalm says.
- 21:06Oh yeah, the righteousness guy will.
- 21:08Show you righteousness. Right, right.
- 21:09OK, those fruits, absolutely. And not be in any need.
- 21:13OK, so you need to understand that back then, right?
- 21:22You're either a slave or you were free.
- 21:24Right. That's how it was back then,
- 21:27yeah. If you were a slave, that meant
- 21:29you worked for someone who had money, you were in high status,
- 21:32or you worked for someone in was a politician, right?
- 21:36Meaning you didn't have to worry about working to eat or sleep.
- 21:41Everything was provided for you, right?
- 21:43You had to work for them. Right, right.
- 21:45Basically, it's the W2 modern time.
- 21:48Those who were free were either farmers, they were merchants,
- 21:52they sold, they traded rich people in high status owning
- 21:56property or politicians. Those of that were free, right?
- 22:00They had to do something in order to sell something.
- 22:03Does that mean to to have an enterprise, a huge business?
- 22:08No, right? Now, if God blesses you, uh huh,
- 22:12that's because he's doing it. Yes.
- 22:13Not you. Absolutely.
- 22:15He's he's blessing the fruit of you.
- 22:18And I believe. Not because you are in the
- 22:19pursuit of that. Right, right, right.
- 22:21And that takes a lot of maturity.
- 22:22Yes, yeah, and not at the speed you think that will.
- 22:25Happen exactly 100%. No, 100% I believe.
- 22:28Yeah, I believe what you're saying.
- 22:30So also first John, right? The first John White.
- 22:35Like just John 2. Where it talks about do not love
- 22:39the world or have your eyes on the things of the world, what is
- 22:41it? First, John, What 2.
- 22:43Yeah, it's chapter 2. It starts at verse 15, First
- 22:47John chapter 2, verse 15. Do not love the world, do not
- 22:52love the world, nor the things in the world, right?
- 22:56Not talking about the planet. If anyone loves the world, the
- 23:00love of the Father is not in him.
- 23:03For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the
- 23:06lust of the eyes and the bull's full of pride of life is not
- 23:10from the Father but from but is from the world.
- 23:14The world is passing away and also it's lust but the one who
- 23:18does the will of God. OK, the desires of your heart
- 23:22are now aligned to what? To God, right?
- 23:25To his will. To his will.
- 23:26So of course he's going to make that happen.
- 23:28Right. Amen.
- 23:29Absolutely. And continues to live.
- 23:32Forever. Yeah, so.
- 23:36Why continue to live forever? Who is to say that this our
- 23:40descendants will continue? Yeah, exactly, exactly, exactly,
- 23:45because the scripture does say if it is from God, it won't die
- 23:48out, but it will continue. Yeah, because in our you saw
- 23:51boastful pride of life in our modern time.
- 23:54Dude, we're so egocentric. Yeah, this society, it's like
- 23:57it's about me. I'm going to do the best.
- 23:59I'm going to lock in. This is what they say.
- 24:01Yeah. Which in truth, there is a truth
- 24:03to it. Be focused, do the task and
- 24:09everything will. But everything leads to pride.
- 24:11It leads to our pride, absolutely.
- 24:12So we go, Trent. Exactly so.
- 24:14I can do better than him. Exactly.
- 24:16Oh no, I can do better. Than him, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:17Even among believers, we fight amongst each other too.
- 24:21It's like as if we were not in the team or if we're not in the
- 24:24same army, you know what I mean? We're always fighting against
- 24:27each other. Is that what it?
- 24:29Is now. First Timothy Chapter 2, right?
- 24:34You know, Paul does say, I think, yeah, Paul is saying to
- 24:37to Timothy, right? In that part he's talking about
- 24:41like how when a soldier is in battle, he does not return, he
- 24:44goes and fights, right? Was it to?
- 24:46To what? Second Timothy chapter 2 it's
- 24:51I'm pretty sure it's at 4:00, but you start with verse one.
- 24:54You, therefore, my Son, be strong in the grace that is in
- 24:57Christ Jesus. The things that you have heard
- 25:00from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these
- 25:03faithful people who will be able to teach others, also suffer
- 25:08hardship with me as a good soldier of Christ, of Jesus.
- 25:13And he reminds him, no soldier in active service entangles
- 25:17himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may
- 25:21please the one who enlisted him, so that he may please the one
- 25:25who enlisted who enlisted you. And if someone likewise competes
- 25:30as an athlete, he is not crowned a victor unless he competes
- 25:34according to the rules. The hard working farmer ought to
- 25:37be the first to receive his share of the crops.
- 25:40Consider what I say. The Lord will give you
- 25:42understanding and everything. Amen.
- 25:43Yeah. Of course.
- 25:45So there's so much more. Oh, there's.
- 25:49So much more, There's so much more and we would like to
- 25:51continue, and perhaps we will. There's a Part 2 to this, so we
- 25:55should know that God's will. It's interesting.
- 26:00Yes. Find out what God God's will is
- 26:03for you, even if it's something you did not plan for.
- 26:06Absolutely. For or thought you wanted
- 26:09because it was it's what he wants, OK, And we're going to
- 26:13leave it as that, yes, for tonight.
- 26:16Think of that. Think of that because we're
- 26:18talking about ambition, right? And we're not trying to kind of
- 26:22teach you, Hey, listen, you can have ambition and kind of like
- 26:25mold it and then and see how you can fit this into no.
- 26:28So we're not talking about that. No, we're not talking about
- 26:31that. One day we can get deep, deep
- 26:33into to why we're doing what we're doing.
- 26:36But stay with this tonight. Think about what does God want
- 26:41for you? He does say in Scripture.
- 26:43Paul says in script and and and I believe in one of his epistols
- 26:47or Ephesians, I think chapter 1. I hope that your eyes, the eyes
- 26:51of your heart, are awakened. Oh yes, Ephesians chapter 1 I
- 26:54think 18 verse 18 on second yes. So meditate on that.
- 26:59Even we meditate, we we also will always meditate on this.
- 27:03We will always be doing His will, not ours.
- 27:05Yes, and it literally says discern.
- 27:07Discern so that you may know the perfect will of God.
- 27:10Of course, of course, and as much as I could have great ideas
- 27:13for this and all that, one day I'll be able to implement them.
- 27:17But not right now. Yes, exactly.
- 27:19Exactly. So as we wrap up, we're going to
- 27:22finish with a prayer. And you know what?
- 27:24Keep in mind for Part 2, yes, in regards to ambition, right?
- 27:28Absolutely. Thank you, Father, for this
- 27:30opportunity to speak about what that Christian suffers with on a
- 27:35day-to-day, trying to figure out what it means to be a believer
- 27:39in the world and not to be sucked in by the world.
- 27:43And although everybody might criticize that the church might
- 27:45be getting liberal, but it's the world that keeps just getting
- 27:48more modern and modern every time.
- 27:50And forgive us for our trespasses and for our sins,
- 27:52that we forgive others as well. And that you paid this penalty
- 27:56and you gave the Holy Spirit as a down payment, as a hope and
- 28:00promise of what you did. And we ask your Father that you
- 28:04illuminate our minds, give us the wisdom and understanding.
- 28:08And those listening to this podcast also bless them and may
- 28:11they also spread the word and, and of the things that we speak
- 28:14that you bring here to the table of this bread that you help us
- 28:19always break bread with those who listen.
- 28:22Thank you, Father and Amen. All right, everybody.
- 28:27So wait for the next one, which is interesting that we didn't
- 28:29think it would end up to being Part 2, right?
- 28:33Yeah. And so there's there's so much
- 28:35more good stuff coming. So until the next time guys,
- 28:38always remember to subscribe like the notification so that
- 28:42you know when the episode comes out and till the next one.
