- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, my little gorgeous people. It's La La Kent's. Thank
- 0:10Speaker 1: you for listening to another episode of the Judom La
- 0:13Speaker 1: La podcast. We had such an incredible week last week
- 0:21Speaker 1: on top of weekends slush. This week you're talking about
- 0:25Speaker 1: the New York trip, the New York trip. Yeah, in
- 0:27Speaker 1: a New York minute, lovely, so bad.
- 0:35Speaker 2: We left this that we hope New York is successful
- 0:40Speaker 2: and what did you think? How do you think it went?
- 0:42Speaker 1: It was amazing? Yeah, And I am going to let
- 0:48Speaker 1: everyone in on something. Every time I do watch What
- 0:52Speaker 1: Happens Live, you have to remember that's like the mothership, right,
- 0:55Speaker 1: Like I feel very comfortable there. I feel comfortable with Andy.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It's very quaint, the audio into small, so you feel
- 1:02Speaker 1: like you're just in a room talking to like your friends.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Like that's just how you feel. That's how Andy makes
- 1:08Speaker 1: you feel. And then you realize, oh shit, we're on
- 1:15Speaker 1: live TV and people are watching. So I tend to overshare.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And every single time I've left watch What Happens Live,
- 1:24Speaker 1: I feel that I've overshared or I've thrown shade. That
- 1:28Speaker 1: is like why did you do that? It's it's very weird.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Can I tell you when I do vander Pump Rules.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I'm cool with like throwing shade whatever when I'm off
- 1:37Speaker 1: of that. Like, I don't like being involved in Instagram drama.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't like being involved in anything that has Like
- 1:44Speaker 1: if I say something on the podcast, I sit there
- 1:47Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh my gosh, will someone take this
- 1:48Speaker 1: the wrong way? Like is this person gonna come for me?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Like I ho, you know, like I just am. I
- 1:53Speaker 1: get I get nervous. It's not my comfort zone. I
- 1:56Speaker 1: don't like confrontation when I'm doing when I'm filming vander
- 1:59Speaker 1: Pump Rules, I know the assignment, you know, speak your truth.
- 2:03Speaker 1: These are my friends. I know we can bounce back,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and my cast is really great, Like they're not into
- 2:08Speaker 1: Instagram drama. Yeah, you know, Like I never see my
- 2:12Speaker 1: cast really going toes on social media, not that we
- 2:15Speaker 1: haven't before, but when I see certain housewives they're tweeting
- 2:18Speaker 1: each other, they're posting it, I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 2:20Speaker 1: this is crazy. They're outing each other for affairs. It's
- 2:23Speaker 1: like whoa, yeah, intense. Yeah. So every time I leave
- 2:29Speaker 1: watch what happens, I'm like, damn it, I did it again, motherfucker,
- 2:35Speaker 1: but this time, Like I feel like I really I
- 2:39Speaker 1: said what needed to be said and nothing more.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I thought it was great, and you're
- 2:44Speaker 2: right that room. You guys. I've only watched Watch What
- 2:47Speaker 2: Happens Live and I Laala has said the room is small,
- 2:51Speaker 2: but I'm like, yeah, but it's not that small because
- 2:52Speaker 2: I've seen it. Oh my god, it's it's so much
- 2:55Speaker 2: smaller than you would think. It's literally like you're sitting
- 2:58Speaker 2: in a living room. Even the life audience is like like.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Tiny, tiny, Like how many people do you think we're
- 3:04Speaker 1: in there.
- 3:04Speaker 2: In the live audience?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Probably, I don't know, like like fifteen to twenty. Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 2: I was just gonna say like fifteen thirteen. Yeah, it's
- 3:12Speaker 2: not big. And the room it just feels like you're
- 3:15Speaker 2: sitting in someone's living room. So I could see why
- 3:17Speaker 2: you would feel like, oh, I'm just it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Feels like you're in a clubhouse. Yeah, which is why
- 3:21Speaker 1: it's called the clubhouse. You know. It's like it gets
- 3:24Speaker 1: very intimidating when you're in there, and then you leave
- 3:28Speaker 1: and realize, oh God, bless you Lily, Yes you, oh
- 3:33Speaker 1: my sweet angel, you sexy girl. Oh die for her.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So it was amazing. Then we did we did a
- 3:41Speaker 1: lot of different podcasts which so much fun.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You were great on those and those girls. It was
- 3:47Speaker 2: just it was all women podcasts.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I know, my most favorite space being around a bunch
- 3:53Speaker 1: of badass chicks. Yeah literally chicks, chicks and the chicks
- 3:57Speaker 1: in the Officeelicity.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys. It was great. And then you did
- 4:04Speaker 2: then I did Tamarin Hall. Would you feel about that?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Because I know Tammeron Hall is sometimes like she's not
- 4:09Speaker 2: afraid to get down and dirty with people, So how
- 4:11Speaker 2: did you feel about it?
- 4:12Speaker 1: I respect her so much?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah, same, she.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Is like she is an incredible host, interviewer, like all
- 4:21Speaker 1: of her accomplishments. I was so nervous going on to
- 4:25Speaker 1: her show. And I'm cool with people being tough, you know,
- 4:30Speaker 1: like that's all fine and good, but when you're placed,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I'm aware that I'm a reality TV personality, right, and
- 4:37Speaker 1: I get intimidated when I walk into rooms with people
- 4:41Speaker 1: who are very accomplished, very poised, very elegant, because I
- 4:48Speaker 1: tend to be very hyper sensitive to my past and
- 4:53Speaker 1: things that I've done in my past and things that
- 4:55Speaker 1: I continue to sometimes do that I'm figuring out, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: I feel like all eyes are on me and like
- 5:00Speaker 1: I just get nervous, but that the energy in that room,
- 5:06Speaker 1: in her audience, Like I felt so supported by her,
- 5:11Speaker 1: by her audience. Like when we spoke about my dad,
- 5:14Speaker 1: about Ocean, about my alcoholism, it was just like, how
- 5:19Speaker 1: is it that a room full of people I have
- 5:23Speaker 1: never seen or met in my life? They all look
- 5:27Speaker 1: so familiar and I feel like I've known them for years.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a great environment. And I knew because I
- 5:33Speaker 2: was backstage watching on the TV and Laala had mentioned
- 5:37Speaker 2: if I cry all it means I feel like I'm
- 5:40Speaker 2: in a safe space, and she did and I was
- 5:42Speaker 2: like that made me like, oh, yay, you feel like
- 5:45Speaker 2: you're in a safe space. Like I felt like I
- 5:47Speaker 2: knew when I was watching that and you started crying
- 5:50Speaker 2: talking to her, I was like, oh, you you feel
- 5:52Speaker 2: comfortable up there?
- 5:53Speaker 1: I did feel comfortable. Yeah. And the one of the
- 5:56Speaker 1: producers of the show came back just to check in
- 5:58Speaker 1: on me, and I was like, is there a box
- 6:02Speaker 1: of tissues there? Because I did a pre interview basically
- 6:06Speaker 1: what we'd be touching on and anytime you talk to
- 6:09Speaker 1: me about the passing of my dad, even though it's
- 6:12Speaker 1: been four years almost four years. We're approaching four years.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I still if I feel comfortable and safe, I still
- 6:21Speaker 1: feel like, oh my gosh, I'm gonna break down. So
- 6:24Speaker 1: that's what I felt. The second he the second she
- 6:27Speaker 1: asked about like, what was that moment like losing your dad?
- 6:29Speaker 1: I was like, this is where I lose my mind?
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, yeah, it was really it was. I
- 6:36Speaker 2: thought it was a really successful trip. Lots of badass women,
- 6:42Speaker 2: lots of laughs, lots of just like inspiration, I'm gonna
- 6:48Speaker 2: say it, but lots of even just seeing women do
- 6:51Speaker 2: their thing. The podcasters Tameron Hall like you, I'm like.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yes, I know, it's so inspiring.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it was great. The only thing I didn't like
- 7:00Speaker 2: was the horses we decided to see.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I was just about that you were, yes, Jess and
- 7:07Speaker 1: I decided to take a walk through Central Park, and
- 7:09Speaker 1: I was like, this is gonna be so good for us.
- 7:11Speaker 1: And I actually left the park feeling beyond depressed, so
- 7:15Speaker 1: depressed because because there are horses that are being exploited,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and I could I could not believe my eyes that
- 7:26Speaker 1: we are in New York City and I'm seeing these
- 7:30Speaker 1: horses with carts attached to them with jewels on their heads, yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 1: pulling these people. And I was pissed. I was pissed
- 7:40Speaker 1: at the people for getting.
- 7:41Speaker 2: On, pissed at the people for supporting it. You're supporting
- 7:45Speaker 2: it by paying for the rides.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You're supporting it by working for the company.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yet working for the company, and I've got to be honest,
- 7:51Speaker 2: you guys. We didn't see a single bowl for food
- 7:56Speaker 2: or water. We saw. I saw buckets that had water them,
- 8:00Speaker 2: and I even sat in the moment. I was like, okay, wait,
- 8:02Speaker 2: I see buckets of water. And right when I said
- 8:04Speaker 2: that they were allah, notice they used them to clean
- 8:07Speaker 2: off the hooks.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It made me sick, and of course, naturally I took
- 8:11Speaker 1: to my Instagram to talk about it, and of course
- 8:13Speaker 1: I had a million and one uneducated trolls sending me messages.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But there were a few people that said, what about
- 8:23Speaker 1: like the Amish who still use horses like that for transportation?
- 8:29Speaker 1: And I think my whole thing is the well being
- 8:35Speaker 1: of the horse. What is going on behind closed doors?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Number one? No matter how you want to chop it
- 8:40Speaker 1: and dice it, those horses in New York City, and
- 8:43Speaker 1: by the way, people were sending me a ton of
- 8:46Speaker 1: cities that it's still happening in and people were like,
- 8:48Speaker 1: how did you not know this? I'm gonna be honest.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I don't travel to South Carolina. I don't travel to
- 8:56Speaker 1: a lot of these cities that horses are being in LA.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Like I feel like, we're pretty we love our animals.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and we talked about this and call us out
- 9:06Speaker 2: if we're wrong. But I'm pretty sure there's no tourists.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I've never seen it. Yeah, I haven't seen it either.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And if I'm wrong, please let me know. Slide to
- 9:14Speaker 1: my DMS, because I do see it. But I was
- 9:17Speaker 1: shocked to like the fact there's no there's no water
- 9:21Speaker 1: for these horses. Where are they going when the day
- 9:24Speaker 1: is done? You could just tell the horses aren't being
- 9:27Speaker 1: treated right, Like we're talking about people coming in from
- 9:30Speaker 1: bumfuck wherever that are, Like, let's go on this horse
- 9:33Speaker 1: with the kids. It's not fun, right, stop supporting it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I don't know how else to say it, HM, and.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I won't be I'm not gonna say who. But I
- 9:43Speaker 2: had a friend who lived in LA who years ago
- 9:47Speaker 2: posted a picture of her her boyfriend on maybe like
- 9:49Speaker 2: three years ago. That's not that her and her boyfriend
- 9:52Speaker 2: on the horse and carriage, and I reached out to her.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, do you know because I know there
- 9:57Speaker 2: was stuff that came out and pressed and I believe
- 9:59Speaker 2: it was Central Park where the horse. There's a video
- 10:02Speaker 2: of it, the horse claps.
- 10:03Speaker 1: A lot of people sent me justices and pictures of
- 10:07Speaker 1: collapsed horses in all different cities.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so dated and it's so just just gross.
- 10:14Speaker 2: We don't need it. We don't need the horses and
- 10:17Speaker 2: the carriages. We don't need zoos for profit. We need
- 10:21Speaker 2: zoos that are rescuing and wildlife sanctuaries.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But like, I just think the whole. Yeah, you have
- 10:25Speaker 1: to do your research. Like I'm sorry, you won't catch
- 10:28Speaker 1: me taking ocean to a zoo. You won't catch me
- 10:31Speaker 1: take I shouldn't there are zoos because I don't want
- 10:33Speaker 1: to discredit zoos who are actually like doing incredible work helping. Right,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you won't catch me at an aquarium.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yes, you you are big on And I'm like, if
- 10:42Speaker 2: you've been living under a rock, I'm using Lalla's thing.
- 10:45Speaker 2: But if you've been living under a rock, you don't know.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Lalla is big with like what would you call it?
- 10:50Speaker 2: I call it?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Like what like I'm just animals. Yeah, and I'm big
- 10:55Speaker 1: on like the well being of animals, and I just like, like,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I I want to do my research. And I've been
- 11:03Speaker 1: the person where I have gone to SeaWorld as a
- 11:06Speaker 1: child before I was educated. I have gone to a
- 11:10Speaker 1: breeder to get a dog before I was educated. Now
- 11:14Speaker 1: I'm anti chop your dog's balls off, get your dog spade, like,
- 11:19Speaker 1: go to a shelter to get your animal. I'm just
- 11:21Speaker 1: I'm into it. Yeah, you know, I see certain birthday
- 11:26Speaker 1: parties or like people with petting zoos at their kids'
- 11:31Speaker 1: birthday parties, Like what the fuck? Yeah, really, why is
- 11:37Speaker 1: there a tiger in a cage? I just want to know.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I just want to know what the tiger is doing
- 11:42Speaker 1: in the cage at a birthday party. I don't get it.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Please explain to me. See it's like getting me riled up. Yeah, no, blood,
- 11:50Speaker 1: it starts boiling.
- 11:51Speaker 2: You're right. And if you're listening to this and you're
- 11:54Speaker 2: really like no, like she's being whatever over this, I
- 11:57Speaker 2: really urge you to do your research because it's shocking
- 12:01Speaker 2: what you'll find out. Like it's shocking you go to
- 12:03Speaker 2: these petting zoos or these little things and you're like, oh,
- 12:05Speaker 2: it's fine, they're fine, they look happy. You'd be really
- 12:08Speaker 2: shocked to find out what a lot of these animals
- 12:11Speaker 2: are going through. And I get it. It could we
- 12:13Speaker 2: could go on a tangent because it could be with
- 12:16Speaker 2: there's animal cruelty all around every day. We know it.
- 12:19Speaker 2: But if you can do something to help, why not,
- 12:22Speaker 2: you know, like, why wouldn't you don't support that horse
- 12:25Speaker 2: and carriage rides? Just don't just don't, Like, I don't
- 12:29Speaker 2: know how else to break it down to you. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 2: if you don't get it, I can't help you. And
- 12:34Speaker 2: you may have different There are a lot of things that,
- 12:37Speaker 2: like I can change about myself. Right, this is a
- 12:40Speaker 2: standpoint where if you can't get down with me on this,
- 12:42Speaker 2: we won't connect. I'm not for you, You're not for me. Yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 2: it's just how I feel about it. But I mean,
- 12:48Speaker 2: there's lots of stuff out there that'll show you why
- 12:50Speaker 2: these things are so bad, Like google it, I promise
- 12:54Speaker 2: you I did. The day in New York. I'm like,
- 12:56Speaker 2: how bad is this really? And I have a week's
- 13:00Speaker 2: delmach and it makes me physically ill when I see
- 13:03Speaker 2: animal abuse, any sort of abuse We've talked about this,
- 13:06Speaker 2: but I kind of you know, I forced myself to
- 13:08Speaker 2: look at what I could until I was like, this.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Is I think I want to go fully vegan. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 1: we should have some a vegan on the podcast to.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Talk about it, because there's a way to do it
- 13:18Speaker 2: where you can get your everything you need every day,
- 13:20Speaker 2: and there's a way to not do it. But right
- 13:23Speaker 2: I did the way to not do it. I went
- 13:24Speaker 2: vegan for like literally six months and was all pasta
- 13:27Speaker 2: and I'm like, uh oh, and I was like deficient
- 13:30Speaker 2: in all these things.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, like I would like a very educated vegan. Yeah, no,
- 13:35Speaker 1: you're on the podcast.
- 13:35Speaker 2: To talk to you about because I was gonna when
- 13:37Speaker 2: I said, you know, it's it's every day. Yeah, it's everywhere,
- 13:40Speaker 2: and you listen, you can do things to help, and
- 13:43Speaker 2: you can do things. I get it when people are
- 13:46Speaker 2: like it's a luxury. It's a privilege to be able
- 13:50Speaker 2: to eat organic, to be able to cut out this
- 13:53Speaker 2: and that from your diet. Totally understand. But if you
- 13:57Speaker 2: can maybe think about it, Okay, Yeah, I think that'd be.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Because then I start the conversation.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Let's start the conversation.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I love starting conversations. Yes, so, yeah, we did the
- 14:07Speaker 1: New York trip. We were there most importantly for the
- 14:11Speaker 1: Give Them La La book. The paperback came out. People
- 14:15Speaker 1: are really digging it. I know, right, I know.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It's so good. We're getting photos of it on planes.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Feel free to DM the podcast if you got the
- 14:25Speaker 2: paperback and you're like traveling with it or you're reading
- 14:28Speaker 2: it by your pool. It's cute. We love seeing those photos.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I do love seeing them. Yeah, And I love people
- 14:34Speaker 1: telling me like what they think. But if you if
- 14:35Speaker 1: your feedback is not positive, I don't need to see it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It's not constructive. So yeah, it's not constructive because I
- 14:41Speaker 1: wrote about my life. So no matter what you have
- 14:43Speaker 1: to say, it's like it happened already, right, Sorry, nothing
- 14:46Speaker 1: I can change. Two days ago at Cruise's birthday, and
- 14:55Speaker 1: I was weighed so heavy on me and it was
- 14:57Speaker 1: so simple. There was a guy, the paparazzi, taking photos
- 15:01Speaker 1: and I just was not in the mood. I was
- 15:04Speaker 1: not in the mood, and he kept clicking and I
- 15:07Speaker 1: tried to duck and dodge, and he kept moving around,
- 15:09Speaker 1: like walking into the party, not walking into the party.
- 15:12Speaker 1: He was outside and I was walking in my car okay,
- 15:14Speaker 1: And so I tried to go through the passenger side
- 15:16Speaker 1: door because I just didn't want it. I didn't want it.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm leaving a little kid's birthday party, like I'm now.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I know I'm starting my period overshare, but I was
- 15:25Speaker 1: just like I don't want it. And so I said
- 15:28Speaker 1: to him, I like looked at him and I said stop, stop,
- 15:31Speaker 1: stop taking the fucking picture. And he finally got a
- 15:35Speaker 1: million in one photos and is walking away, and I
- 15:37Speaker 1: was like, like, this is the kind of photographer you are,
- 15:41Speaker 1: Like they have you. You can be on Kardashians, Yeah,
- 15:45Speaker 1: be photographing vander Pump rules people. And he said you're
- 15:48Speaker 1: better than that, la la, And I was like, I'm like,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I didn't really even do anything. I just was like
- 15:54Speaker 1: telling him I don't want my picture taking.
- 15:56Speaker 2: He said you're better than that.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yeah, because I threw out an insult, which was I
- 16:00Speaker 1: was mostly just insulting myself.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, oh you said that to him. This is
- 16:05Speaker 2: the kind of photographer. You said it actually to him.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I don't think I said this is the kind of
- 16:08Speaker 1: photography r I was like, they put you. They couldn't
- 16:11Speaker 1: even put you on someone cool like the Kardashians. You
- 16:13Speaker 1: have to photograph Vander Pump rules people.
- 16:16Speaker 2: So he's okay, got it.
- 16:17Speaker 1: He said you're better than this, La La, because I've
- 16:20Speaker 1: never freaked out at and I didn't freak out in
- 16:22Speaker 1: this moment. I just wanted him to stop.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Which makes sense. But how did you feel when he
- 16:27Speaker 2: said that? Did you feel guilty or where you're like, no,
- 16:30Speaker 2: this is I Like, how did you feel?
- 16:31Speaker 1: Even if he wouldn't have said that, I felt guilty? Okay,
- 16:34Speaker 1: because it's like this guy's out here making a paycheck
- 16:37Speaker 1: without him giving a fuck about any of us. I
- 16:41Speaker 1: don't make a paycheck, you know, Like he's keeping me
- 16:45Speaker 1: relevant and me being relevant. People listen to my podcast,
- 16:50Speaker 1: people go and buy my book, people buy my makeup,
- 16:53Speaker 1: people watch the show, like we're all feeding each other
- 16:56Speaker 1: in a different way. And I just I was angry
- 16:58Speaker 1: at myself that I would tell him stop stop and
- 17:01Speaker 1: then throw an insult, which basically was insulting both of us,
- 17:05Speaker 1: you know, because yeah, yeah, I was like why did
- 17:10Speaker 1: I do that? And it had nothing to do with him.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I've been photographed a million.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Times, right, But that's a great thing to remember. It's
- 17:19Speaker 2: you too. When someone's an asshole. We were just talking
- 17:22Speaker 2: about it has nothing to do.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I know, So if he's listening, it had nothing to
- 17:26Speaker 1: do with you. It had everything to do with me,
- 17:29Speaker 1: And I'm sorry. I was just in a zone. So
- 17:32Speaker 1: there's that with the photographer. I felt bad all the
- 17:35Speaker 1: way around, and my mom was looking at me like,
- 17:38Speaker 1: shake it off. She was, yes, I was like, it
- 17:41Speaker 1: just feels so bad, you know, hi, mom.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Speak of the queen and icon herself.
- 17:49Speaker 1: But Lisa always says, because she used to work at
- 17:52Speaker 1: a dental office, and she always said when people came
- 17:55Speaker 1: in and they were kind of bitchy. She didn't use
- 17:57Speaker 1: the word bitchy, but just kind of mean. She was like,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I always knew it had nothing to do with me.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It was something else that was going on in their day. Yep.
- 18:03Speaker 1: So I didn't take it personally. So I'm hoping the
- 18:06Speaker 1: photographer knows that I'm talking about the paparazzi guy who
- 18:09Speaker 1: I was. Oh, she just gave like like I forget
- 18:12Speaker 1: about it. Fish. Hopefully he's off. He's the big fish.
- 18:22Speaker 1: He's had enough of us, minnows, had the baby oceans
- 18:29Speaker 1: eating salmon. Yay? Is it good? Can you say anything?
- 18:39Speaker 1: So jess I have to tell you something so funny. Well,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I was listening to the Girls Gotta Eat podcast that
- 18:46Speaker 1: we did last week, and my mom pointed something out
- 18:51Speaker 1: that made me, so are you okay that that made
- 18:56Speaker 1: me nervous?
- 18:57Speaker 2: Oh?
- 18:58Speaker 1: No? What she said, what do you think Jessica's mom
- 19:02Speaker 1: thinks about the podcast and what you have Jessica do now?
- 19:06Speaker 1: And I was like, I didn't even think about it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Wait, why would that make you nervous? Because I have
- 19:12Speaker 2: the open, a very open family my mom. I've always
- 19:16Speaker 2: been open with like that.
- 19:17Speaker 1: My dad is very like he would listen to the podcast, right,
- 19:22Speaker 1: your dad cannot listen to the podcast.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I've sent my dad clips. This is how like technologically
- 19:27Speaker 2: challenged my dad is. I've sent him clips and he goes, sorry,
- 19:30Speaker 2: I won't open I don't have the whole podcast app thing.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay, so he's not listening. My mom
- 19:36Speaker 2: even if she did, she'd be like, you girls are goofballs?
- 19:39Speaker 1: Okay, yes, because we were last week talking heavily about
- 19:43Speaker 1: like sex, and I was like, I really hope that
- 19:48Speaker 1: Jessica's mom doesn't.
- 19:50Speaker 2: No, my mom was very If anything, my dad would
- 19:53Speaker 2: be like the what on earth. Are you girls talking
- 19:56Speaker 2: about that?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Yeah? I know my dad would be the same way.
- 20:00Speaker 2: No, my mom is that's really sweet. Would you like
- 20:03Speaker 2: to say hello?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Hi? She's trying to eat it. Hello, and she's like
- 20:09Speaker 1: dumping her salmon on the ground. It's gonna be embedded
- 20:12Speaker 1: in the rug. It's so disgusting.
- 20:14Speaker 2: She goes in.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Tongue first, Oh bye, I love you. I'll be right out. Okay, bye, Yes,
- 20:22Speaker 1: Mama loves you. Goodbye, goodbye. I'll see in just a sec. Okay, bye.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Bye. The whole family set it out podcasting from home.
- 20:36Speaker 1: All right, I cannot deal. Lisa turns her speaker on
- 20:40Speaker 1: and then walks in like we need to be quiet.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Lida's iconic.
- 20:46Speaker 1: There's okay. So that makes me feel better because when
- 20:48Speaker 1: she said that I was tripping balls, I was like
- 20:51Speaker 1: her mom is sitting in upstate New York crying, like
- 20:55Speaker 1: my daughter is on a podcast that she talks about balls.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, believe me. When I talk to
- 21:01Speaker 2: my mom and dad, I'm very vulgar. I've never talked
- 21:04Speaker 2: that way on the podcast. And they just go, Jessica,
- 21:07Speaker 2: come on, what my dad?
- 21:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 21:08Speaker 2: So no, not at all. Very nice of you. Guys
- 21:12Speaker 2: to think about though. Jake and Amy are in their
- 21:15Speaker 2: own little worlds up in upstate New York, and we
- 21:17Speaker 2: love them. My mom's constantly like, please tell Lala and
- 21:21Speaker 2: Lisa I said hi, And I pray for her and
- 21:24Speaker 2: Ocean and Lisa all the time. And my dad always
- 21:28Speaker 2: sending me I read La La. One of the messages
- 21:31Speaker 2: my dad sends. He sends text to the group family
- 21:35Speaker 2: chat every week about the Lord. He's like, whatever Cross
- 21:39Speaker 2: you're caring today, just remember that Jesus, like you know
- 21:43Speaker 2: whatever this and.
- 21:44Speaker 1: That, And I loved them. You read me one New
- 21:47Speaker 1: York and I was like, can I be a part
- 21:50Speaker 1: of the group chat.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So that's the vibe. But that's very nice of you, guys.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You know, I look at my mom and I'm like,
- 21:59Speaker 1: she's like my friend or whatever, Like I talk about
- 22:01Speaker 1: her all the time. Obviously she's like the writer die.
- 22:04Speaker 1: But then she does things that are so mom like
- 22:07Speaker 1: what the other day because I'm on cameo now right
- 22:12Speaker 1: And I won't even lie. I'm so bad at it?
- 22:14Speaker 2: You are, Oh, you're not bad at the videos. The
- 22:17Speaker 2: videos are iconic. She you think you're bad at it
- 22:20Speaker 2: because you spend so much time on the videos, so
- 22:22Speaker 2: it takes you a while to get them all done
- 22:24Speaker 2: because you care.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I like the way you look at things. We'll go
- 22:27Speaker 1: with that, because I'll look at the app and it's
- 22:29Speaker 1: like minus six and I'm like, I missed six. I'm
- 22:35Speaker 1: so bad at it, Like I just put them off. Yeah,
- 22:40Speaker 1: And I and my mom thinks she's my manager, and
- 22:45Speaker 1: we'll say like, did you get your cameos done today?
- 22:47Speaker 1: And I'm like, bitch, laid the fuck off. Oh. I
- 22:50Speaker 1: love that, you know, like I have people who keep
- 22:53Speaker 1: me in mind clearly not that well because I'm missing,
- 22:56Speaker 1: because you're.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Missing, because that's me, you guys, I need to step
- 22:59Speaker 2: it up on No, well, it's not you.
- 23:00Speaker 1: There's only so much you can do. And when I
- 23:03Speaker 1: keep telling you, I'll get them done. And then I don't, like,
- 23:05Speaker 1: there's not much you can do, right, But I'll tell
- 23:08Speaker 1: her like, damn it, I missed like whatever, and she's like,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you missed a cameo today and I'm like, Mom, calm down,
- 23:15Speaker 1: it's not that big of a deal. And she's like,
- 23:16Speaker 1: you could have filled up a tink of gas with that.
- 23:20Speaker 2: That is a good point. Lisa Slash Chris Jenner it.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Put a pin in by something. I was like, you're right,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I could have filled up a tink of gas with that.
- 23:29Speaker 2: That is quite a way to look at it, because
- 23:31Speaker 2: if you yeah, and it.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Is not sheep out in these streets right now.
- 23:34Speaker 2: No, I just paid seven dollars and twenty cents for gas.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Where were you in town Glendall?
- 23:41Speaker 2: And when we were just when I was just in Florida. Yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 2: I saw gas for like three ninety four.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I know. Sometimes I drive around LA and I'm like,
- 23:50Speaker 1: why do I live here? Why do I live here?
- 23:53Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Because the weather's beautiful.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It's like you can have this piece of shit house
- 23:58Speaker 1: and it's only one point too. It's like, well that's great.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I gotta gut the whole thing, I know, or knock
- 24:03Speaker 1: it down. I know. But why what's so great? I
- 24:06Speaker 1: don't understand.
- 24:07Speaker 2: It's the weather, it's the accessibility when you're in the
- 24:11Speaker 2: entertainment business, like from someone who's only lived here for
- 24:14Speaker 2: a couple of years, that's that's the You don't have
- 24:17Speaker 2: to like you're here, You're in it all, especially you
- 24:19Speaker 2: you're on reality TV right like I have to be here,
- 24:22Speaker 2: got yeah, you have to do everything here.
- 24:24Speaker 1: And I do love it. I don't love it for
- 24:27Speaker 1: a house, for that's amazing For almost four million dollars.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's crazy and you have to Yeah, it's
- 24:33Speaker 2: very expensive out here. And like schooling, I know we've
- 24:37Speaker 2: talked about this all but it's like I'm thinking about
- 24:39Speaker 2: it and I'm not even close to having a child.
- 24:41Speaker 2: And Kyle and I talk about, like I said to
- 24:44Speaker 2: him the other day, maybe I should start saving up
- 24:46Speaker 2: for schools for our kid one day. This is like
- 24:49Speaker 2: I'm not having a kid for years, you guys.
- 24:51Speaker 1: And I was no, but I was talking to these moms, Jazz.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I mean, you're being smart, these moms. For preschool, it
- 24:56Speaker 1: was sixteen thousand dollars a year. No could you imagine?
- 25:01Speaker 2: No, I couldn't, especially with someone me. I just I
- 25:05Speaker 2: told your mom this, like two weeks ago, paid off
- 25:08Speaker 2: my student loans.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Let's give it.
- 25:12Speaker 2: That's huge, Thank you, thank you. No, it was a
- 25:16Speaker 2: wild ride because yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And did you ever think your college degree would land
- 25:22Speaker 1: you here? You guys, listen, what did you major in? Uh?
- 25:28Speaker 2: Well, first majored in nursing when I went to college,
- 25:32Speaker 2: then switched to I was all over the place. Event
- 25:35Speaker 2: planning and communications and then switched to music business when
- 25:39Speaker 2: I went to Nashville, Okay, and I was like, oh,
- 25:42Speaker 2: I'm going to be an artist manager.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Easy.
- 25:44Speaker 2: And then I worked within a company in the music
- 25:47Speaker 2: industry which I will not name, and I was like, no, no, no,
- 25:50Speaker 2: absolutely is it intense. It's intense and it's very like
- 25:55Speaker 2: I just wasn't. I was interested in the social aspect
- 25:58Speaker 2: and not at all like it's a lot. It's a lot,
- 26:01Speaker 2: and it's very political, not in like an actual political way,
- 26:05Speaker 2: but in like a oh you got to do this.
- 26:07Speaker 2: It's like the it's like the entertainment industry, like TV
- 26:09Speaker 2: and film, but not as fun.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Can I say something super ignorant? Yes, there are days
- 26:14Speaker 1: where I listen to country music and I'm like, I
- 26:16Speaker 1: should have just been a country star. That seems so easy.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But I've heard the country music industry is like.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Hard, cutthroat, cut throat, cutthroat, and like political as far
- 26:27Speaker 2: as like talk to this guy and if you know
- 26:29Speaker 2: this girl, then you can get into this party, which
- 26:31Speaker 2: will get you on this radio station and then you
- 26:33Speaker 2: can get And I'm like, it's exhausting just trying to
- 26:36Speaker 2: get your foot in the door.
- 26:38Speaker 1: There.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I mean, it's like that for a lot of things,
- 26:40Speaker 2: but like, man.
- 26:41Speaker 1: But Nashville is the Isn't that like the heart of
- 26:44Speaker 1: country music?
- 26:45Speaker 2: I think, yeah, I know.
- 26:46Speaker 1: It's not a big country music head me either.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And that was I'm not a big country music fan
- 26:52Speaker 2: at all. I respect it. I'm just I don't listen
- 26:54Speaker 2: to you.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Why Nashville, I don't get it. It's so random.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Why like Tennessee for country or why not I go?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Did you move there?
- 27:01Speaker 3: I don't.
- 27:02Speaker 2: I literally this is an exclusive I thought because I
- 27:06Speaker 2: loved writing when I was younger, and in my head,
- 27:09Speaker 2: I'm like, the only thing you can be if you
- 27:12Speaker 2: love writing is a songwriter. But I can't sing. So
- 27:15Speaker 2: if I go to Nashville, I can at least write
- 27:18Speaker 2: music because I wrote poems and short stories. I can
- 27:21Speaker 2: write music. But it's very difficult to be a songwriter
- 27:25Speaker 2: and not be able to sing. It's very turn like
- 27:29Speaker 2: turns and or play an instrument. You guys, I can't
- 27:32Speaker 2: do any of it.
- 27:33Speaker 1: What else do you do?
- 27:34Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 27:35Speaker 1: I was.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Like, I'll write some words, write and writing them. Yeah,
- 27:41Speaker 2: so that and it just wasn't my passion.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I guess it isn't the most random place.
- 27:46Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 27:47Speaker 1: But like when you think of people breaking out of
- 27:49Speaker 1: like upstate New York or Utah, like you think of
- 27:52Speaker 1: them going to places like California, or like they moved
- 27:56Speaker 1: to Miami or they moved to New York. It's it's
- 28:00Speaker 1: like whenever I hear someone say, like I'm moving from
- 28:03Speaker 1: like I had a friend in Utah, I'm moving to Austin,
- 28:05Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Why Austin, see I know, but there's this like ree
- 28:10Speaker 2: with Austin and Nashville.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I know that's me being small minded that there's only
- 28:14Speaker 1: three places in the entire world that you could move
- 28:17Speaker 1: to Miami, Los Angeles, or New York right where would you?
- 28:21Speaker 1: Where else is the I know?
- 28:22Speaker 2: You know, yeah, I know, because then you think about it,
- 28:25Speaker 2: it's like d C. People flock to d C. There's
- 28:28Speaker 2: all these little and I'm like, oh my god, I
- 28:29Speaker 2: forgot about d Like if.
- 28:30Speaker 1: You're gonna move, if you're gonna live in Austin, just
- 28:33Speaker 1: stay where you live now, I know, and like it
- 28:37Speaker 1: makes sense what you did.
- 28:38Speaker 2: You're like, yeah, la duh.
- 28:39Speaker 1: But that's because I can't get out of my little
- 28:42Speaker 1: bubble of like if you're moving away from your home, stated,
- 28:45Speaker 1: you want to be in a big city. It's like, no,
- 28:46Speaker 1: sometimes people just want change, law.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Yeah, want change and want to get out of love
- 28:52Speaker 2: my hometown. But it's small town, small minds, small not everyone,
- 28:56Speaker 2: but there's a there was a lot of yucky stuff
- 28:58Speaker 2: there that I was like, no, no, no, yeah, yeah,
- 29:00Speaker 2: because I yeah, I moved out of the house. I
- 29:03Speaker 2: was technically out at sixteen years old. Whoa, yeah, because
- 29:07Speaker 2: I graduated high school a year early.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And then, you know, my best friend Madison and I
- 29:11Speaker 1: were going to move to LA and she did one
- 29:13Speaker 1: year of high school. I was going to move straight
- 29:15Speaker 1: to LA. She did one year of high school, yes,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and then she just did the rest. Oh finished in La.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Oh okay, she.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Like moved out to be an actress. Yeah. Decided I
- 29:26Speaker 1: don't want to be in high school anymore. She was bullied.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I was bullied. I was like, I'm just not going
- 29:32Speaker 1: to go to high school, like the traditional high school,
- 29:35Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, And I came out here and we
- 29:39Speaker 1: looked at apartments and literally around the corner.
- 29:43Speaker 2: How old were you, guys? Wait, I need to like
- 29:45Speaker 2: get this in my head.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So you're like fourteen, I was, yeah, fifteen, fifteen, oh
- 29:49Speaker 1: my god. Yeah, because high school, well, I think it's
- 29:52Speaker 1: different now, but when I was growing up, ninth grade
- 29:55Speaker 1: was still considered junior high. Oh okay, Okay, yeah, so
- 29:59Speaker 1: I guess we're most people. It was high school, but
- 30:01Speaker 1: from junior high was still ninth grade. They may have
- 30:04Speaker 1: changed it. And we came out here and we were
- 30:07Speaker 1: looking for places and managers and all of that, and
- 30:10Speaker 1: I was like, I just feel like such a little baby. Really, yes,
- 30:15Speaker 1: And I remember sitting in Salt Lake at the Cafe
- 30:18Speaker 1: Rio on thirty three hundred South.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Okay, so it's still there.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yes, shout out, shout out, Cafe Rio's bomb, Okay, and
- 30:28Speaker 1: my mom it was like rainy. And my mom was like,
- 30:29Speaker 1: now you can do this, Like, if you want to
- 30:33Speaker 1: move out there, you totally can. We'll be supportive. But
- 30:36Speaker 1: my mom said, but I want you to know all
- 30:38Speaker 1: of the things you'll miss out on in high school.
- 30:41Speaker 1: You'll miss out on dances. You know, there's a lot
- 30:43Speaker 1: of fun stuff that happens in high school. Spoil a
- 30:46Speaker 1: alert for any of Oh I hope no one younger
- 30:49Speaker 1: than high school is listening to the podcast, but if
- 30:51Speaker 1: they are, can I tell you As I get older,
- 30:53Speaker 1: and I look at the demographic that follows me on
- 30:55Speaker 1: social media. I'm like, uh, oh, where's gen z? I
- 31:01Speaker 1: need the gen z.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Oh oh, you're saying you're getting older and older. Of course,
- 31:05Speaker 2: because I'm getting older and getting older.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So of course people that have been, yeah, you know,
- 31:09Speaker 1: following me for however many years, they're also getting older. Yep.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Those are the rider dies.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Those are the Really I don't think I'm getting older
- 31:16Speaker 1: because I don't act.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Wait, hold on, I have to. So she said you're
- 31:20Speaker 2: going to miss out.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but the spoiler alert is you will not miss
- 31:23Speaker 1: out if you have big dreams. I know that's so
- 31:25Speaker 1: bad to say, but high school was such.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Did you go to the dances, go to prom? Did
- 31:28Speaker 2: you do all that?
- 31:29Speaker 1: Or I did? Actually? Can I tell you I'm going
- 31:32Speaker 1: to bite my tongue right now, okay, and I'm going
- 31:34Speaker 1: to take the foot out of my mouth and reverse.
- 31:37Speaker 1: High school was actually awesome. Okay. I had my high
- 31:41Speaker 1: school sweetheart. We bumped peepees like jack rabbits. It was
- 31:45Speaker 1: so much fun. Okay, I actually loved high school. I
- 31:48Speaker 1: take it all back.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Did you go to parties and stuff or were you
- 31:51Speaker 2: not that type?
- 31:52Speaker 1: No? I went to my best friends had a house.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Their parents bought them a house right when they graduated,
- 31:57Speaker 1: and they were older than me. Okay, so I was
- 32:00Speaker 1: still in high school when they had graduated, and we
- 32:01Speaker 1: would go there literally every weekend. I was there like daily.
- 32:05Speaker 1: It was the party house.
- 32:07Speaker 2: So you did you drink in high school?
- 32:10Speaker 1: I had my first drink when I was graduating high school.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I texted and I put this in my book. I
- 32:16Speaker 1: was I texted my best friend who lived in the
- 32:18Speaker 1: house and said, I have been I'm eighteen and I
- 32:23Speaker 1: don't know what it's like to be at a party
- 32:25Speaker 1: and like feel buzzed or drunk. And I go to
- 32:28Speaker 1: school and all these people are talking about their wild
- 32:30Speaker 1: times and like, I'm about to graduate and never have
- 32:33Speaker 1: that moment.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so you went.
- 32:36Speaker 1: So she was like, we're gonna get We're gonna get
- 32:38Speaker 1: you drunk and you'll be safe. And she got me
- 32:41Speaker 1: lit on talka vodka or maybe it was Smirnoff. I'd
- 32:45Speaker 1: have to look back in the book. Said oh no,
- 32:48Speaker 1: it was cheap, cheap and it was flat coke.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, do you yeah?
- 32:55Speaker 1: Yeah, And I remember feeling I was laying on the
- 32:57Speaker 1: couch and I was like I feel so weird. In
- 32:59Speaker 1: my high school boyfriend, who was fun. It was like
- 33:01Speaker 1: six six a twin samoan so cute. He's like, Babe,
- 33:07Speaker 1: it's because you're drunk. Oh.
- 33:08Speaker 2: He was so excited for you, like you're drunk right now.
- 33:11Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't know that.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I like so much. Did you throw up?
- 33:14Speaker 1: No? I didn't throw up.
- 33:15Speaker 2: That's such a nice, great first experience.
- 33:18Speaker 1: It was awesome, but I lost my virginity sober. Good
- 33:22Speaker 1: for you. I'll kind of be doing it again that
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm born in convirgin I'll be losing my kind of
- 33:31Speaker 1: brand new v card sober again. It's gonna be so fun.
- 33:35Speaker 2: It's gonna be fun for you.
- 33:36Speaker 1: It will be fun, all right. So we'll move on
- 33:42Speaker 1: from I don't know how we got there. I don't either.
- 33:47Speaker 1: I figure most of my listeners are probably female. Yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 1: and so they're like in their car on their way
- 33:52Speaker 1: to work or something and going, you know, I picture
- 33:55Speaker 1: them because some listeners will send me DMS and they're like,
- 33:59Speaker 1: I laughed so hard on my way to work, and
- 34:00Speaker 1: I can picture them, like, because I do not do
- 34:04Speaker 1: that when I listen to a podcast. I like when
- 34:10Speaker 1: I'm listening to Heather McDonald's podcast, I can picture people
- 34:14Speaker 1: driving next to me and I pray they're not looking
- 34:16Speaker 1: into my window because I'm like smacking the steering wheel.
- 34:20Speaker 2: She's so funny.
- 34:22Speaker 1: She is so funny. She is funny. Speaking of funny,
- 34:27Speaker 1: I'm going on tour. Yes, a hilarious comedian, speaking of
- 34:36Speaker 1: really funny people, I'm going on tour.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:41Speaker 1: It is the Give Them Live, brand New tour. I'm
- 34:45Speaker 1: so excited, Jess. I was getting very nervous, but then
- 34:49Speaker 1: when I was doing Chicks in the office, they were like, dude,
- 34:51Speaker 1: why are you nervous? You just show up and you
- 34:53Speaker 1: just like be you and.
- 34:54Speaker 2: They're there to see you. They're there to see la la.
- 34:57Speaker 2: You could just and I'm there to see them. Yes, exactly.
- 35:00Speaker 2: So wait, I need a little clarity on this. So
- 35:04Speaker 2: they give them wail a live tour. I'm gonna be
- 35:07Speaker 2: going with you, yes, So I need to know because
- 35:09Speaker 2: I know there's like VIP So what is like the
- 35:13Speaker 2: difference if someone say, say, I'm an audience member and
- 35:16Speaker 2: I buy VIP ticket, Am I gonna like meet you beforehand?
- 35:19Speaker 2: How does that work?
- 35:21Speaker 1: Okay? So the VIP tickets mm hmm, Yes, that's like
- 35:25Speaker 1: a meet and greet, like we kick it in the back.
- 35:27Speaker 1: You come in early, we take pictures, we bump gums
- 35:29Speaker 1: like we're homies. And so that's what that will be about.
- 35:33Speaker 1: And then obviously, no matter what seat you get, like
- 35:38Speaker 1: I want to interact with you, Like it may not
- 35:41Speaker 1: be quote unquote as personal as the VIP, but like
- 35:47Speaker 1: I want to hang out with everybody.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, and it's gonna be so fun.
- 35:51Speaker 1: It will. And we have such fun segments. Like I
- 35:54Speaker 1: told you about the segment that I want to do.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Wait which one? Because you have so many great segments
- 35:59Speaker 2: and I'm like, you can't fit all of these segments.
- 36:02Speaker 1: And well, for the cities that we have guests in,
- 36:04Speaker 1: like the segment will be like catered to my guests.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Oh right, then there's a segment I want to do
- 36:10Speaker 1: that we will do where like if you have an
- 36:13Speaker 1: ex boyfriend or a friend who like just ain't hitting right,
- 36:18Speaker 1: let me call them.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Oh my god. So like you have someone come up
- 36:23Speaker 2: on stage and they're like, call my boss and tell
- 36:27Speaker 2: them how I really feel or.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, I would sweat if they call my boss.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I'd be like, do you really want me to do
- 36:32Speaker 1: that right now because you may not have a boss anymore.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Or call my best friend who couldn't make it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Right or that, Like let's go the route where like
- 36:41Speaker 1: I'm nice, yeah, and someone says, my best friend couldn't
- 36:46Speaker 1: come or she lives somewhere else, can you call her?
- 36:48Speaker 1: Like yes, put her on FaceTime, put her on a
- 36:50Speaker 1: phone call.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I don't time. That would be so cool. Like if
- 36:55Speaker 2: I went to a show that my friend couldn't make
- 36:57Speaker 2: it too, and we were like, oh, we love this
- 36:58Speaker 2: person and I went on stage and we FaceTime, that
- 37:01Speaker 2: would like make my friends whole.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Life, I know. Can I tell you what's weird is
- 37:06Speaker 1: that people keep saying they're coming to see you. Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 1: but in my mind, like I've just invited people to
- 37:11Speaker 1: come hang out, hang out because it still hasn't clicked
- 37:14Speaker 1: with me that like I wrote a book, or like
- 37:16Speaker 1: people listen to this podcast. When people send me articles
- 37:19Speaker 1: about myself, it's so weird really still yes, wild, it's
- 37:26Speaker 1: so yeah. Number one, why do you care enough to
- 37:29Speaker 1: write an article about it? I'm just fucking law. Just
- 37:35Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Keep writing them articles. Yeah, sure, you
- 37:38Speaker 1: mentioned give them La La products while you're at it
- 37:42Speaker 1: keep referring to me as a mogul.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Mogal.
- 37:45Speaker 2: We love that word.
- 37:48Speaker 1: But yes, it's strange, so like for me when they're
- 37:50Speaker 1: like tickets are on sale, I'm like, you mean invites.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Have gone out, Invites have gone out. Yeah, I'll be
- 37:57Speaker 2: hanging with my group of friends.
- 37:58Speaker 1: No, the tour is gonna be fucking fantastic. So if
- 38:01Speaker 1: you haven't, sorry, if you haven't gotten your tickets. We
- 38:06Speaker 1: are starting off in Irvine. That show is sold out.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is next on May third, Clearwater, May fifth, Orlando,
- 38:14Speaker 1: Florida is on May sixth, Atlanta, Georgia. I'm so excited.
- 38:19Speaker 2: You've got some spicy things planned for Atlanta.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I really can't wait for a night because I have
- 38:24Speaker 1: a surprise. I'm gonna tell you what it is, but
- 38:29Speaker 1: I'm super excited for Atlanta on May seventh, Nashville on
- 38:33Speaker 1: May ninth, New Orleans May tenth, May eleventh, we're in Houston,
- 38:37Speaker 1: May twelfth, We're in Austin. May thirteenth, will wrap up
- 38:40Speaker 1: in Dallas.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Tics have you ever been to New Orleans? Because I haven't,
- 38:43Speaker 2: and I'm like so excited.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Years ago, really, so many years ago. I want to say,
- 38:48Speaker 1: like five years ago.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Oh, so you haven't been in a while. Did you
- 38:51Speaker 2: have fun?
- 38:52Speaker 1: I had the best time ever and I was wasted.
- 38:55Speaker 1: And by the way, I got my most favorite pair
- 38:58Speaker 1: of shoes in New Orleans. Remember where i'd a nice
- 39:02Speaker 1: Do they have like a Bloomingdaless or Anemon Marcus there,
- 39:05Speaker 1: I'm sure or a Sax I'm sure because they have
- 39:08Speaker 1: they have good shopping. I yeah, right, they have like
- 39:10Speaker 1: a nice mall.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I've heard great shopping, great food,
- 39:13Speaker 2: great nightlife. I've heard all of that.
- 39:15Speaker 1: No, it was super fun and I like that I
- 39:18Speaker 1: got to experience when I was still a drinker.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Yes, I know how you have to do it.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Yeah, because you would just walk the streets. Yeah, and
- 39:25Speaker 1: it's a different you know, it's like you can do
- 39:26Speaker 1: that in Vegas, but Vegas is like different vibe. It's
- 39:30Speaker 1: a completely different vibe. I love New Orleans, so I'm
- 39:33Speaker 1: super excited for that show too. And that's where Stossy's from.
- 39:36Speaker 1: So yes, it's always a special time when I get
- 39:39Speaker 1: to go to where my friends were born and raised. Yeah,
- 39:43Speaker 1: it's so fun. So there's that for the tour. If
- 39:47Speaker 1: you want to come and play with me. Go to
- 39:50Speaker 1: give them live dot com to purchase your tickets. I'm
- 39:53Speaker 1: so excited to meet you guys, and I love you
- 39:56Speaker 1: all so much. Just do we have any voicemails to
- 39:59Speaker 1: wrap up the show? Oh?
- 40:00Speaker 2: Yes, we do.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Okay, Hey there Laala. My name's Devin and my name
- 40:05Speaker 4: is Kate. We've been best friends for forty years and
- 40:08Speaker 4: we absolutely adore you in all things vander Pump Rules.
- 40:12Speaker 4: We are actually treating ourselves to a fortieth girls trip
- 40:16Speaker 4: out to the West Coast because we both turned forty
- 40:19Speaker 4: and have known each other for forty years and vander Pepper
- 40:22Speaker 4: Rules is a massive part of what we're doing out there,
- 40:25Speaker 4: so we're really excited to go experience things that you've done.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Our question is, we are getting all glammed up and
- 40:31Speaker 4: doing our thing, and we've gotten a bunch of dresses
- 40:34Speaker 4: that have some very awkward braw needs, and so we're wondering,
- 40:39Speaker 4: what do you use when you're dressing up with backless
- 40:43Speaker 4: dresses and you've let low cut front cut to keep
- 40:47Speaker 4: your booby shape and prick them up and make them
- 40:49Speaker 4: look hot. Thanks so much, We really appreciate your time.
- 40:53Speaker 4: We love you, and we can't wait to get out
- 40:55Speaker 4: to the West Coast. Thanks Lalla, thank you, We love you.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I love this question so much. First of all, all
- 41:04Speaker 1: of my closest friends I've been friends with. Candice I've
- 41:07Speaker 1: been friends with for twenty five years. My gosh, Madison
- 41:12Speaker 1: and Olivia I have been friends with for literally thirty
- 41:14Speaker 1: one years since.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Birth's that's these two.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I so excited for them. Yeah, oh forty years, that's
- 41:25Speaker 1: so special.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Forty fortieth girls, that's a big.
- 41:29Speaker 1: They've been friends for that long, right, yeah, friends for
- 41:32Speaker 1: that long and they're turning. Yeah, amazing. So for the boobs,
- 41:37Speaker 1: I like the bras and I think you can get
- 41:40Speaker 1: them at Victoria's Secret. You could even get them on Amazon.
- 41:44Speaker 1: They literally are just sticky on the front. It's just
- 41:47Speaker 1: the cups and that's it. This is for backless because
- 41:49Speaker 1: it does cinch in the front to give you the cleavage.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Still, yes, the clip in the front.
- 41:54Speaker 1: There's a clip in the front like in the middle,
- 41:57Speaker 1: and you can like cinch it tighter to give to
- 41:59Speaker 1: make the boobs, but then to cover up the nip action.
- 42:02Speaker 1: So backless, that's amazing. And then can I tell you
- 42:04Speaker 1: who has the best trick with their boobs for low
- 42:07Speaker 1: cut is Arianna And she always says boob tape, boob.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Tape, yes, because you can make that your own. You
- 42:14Speaker 2: can cut it, you can shape it around.
- 42:15Speaker 1: You can totally shape it and like form it to
- 42:18Speaker 1: give you cleavage. And there's literally no lines at all.
- 42:20Speaker 1: And Arianna always says she has any bitty titties and
- 42:23Speaker 1: they look massive with her boob tape. Yeah, and she
- 42:27Speaker 1: has like plunging stuff.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Do you know what tape she uses? Because I know
- 42:31Speaker 2: Target has some. Here's the thing, you guys. And I
- 42:33Speaker 2: learned this from Kim K. She used to use duct tape.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Granted it might rip off your skin, but.
- 42:40Speaker 1: But it's worth it for one night of cleave.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I know Target has a good shape tape.
- 42:45Speaker 1: You know what though I've used duct tape before. Yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Season four, Shina wanted the small dress for Gay Pride
- 42:53Speaker 1: the parade. We were in these pink dresses. They were floral,
- 42:56Speaker 1: pink and black. She wanted the small, so I was
- 42:59Speaker 1: left with the I couldn't get my boobs looking right.
- 43:02Speaker 1: So and I was the rookie and she basically just
- 43:05Speaker 1: like came in and was like, I'm taking the small.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I was like hurriy Okay, I guess I'll take the
- 43:09Speaker 1: medium and I duck. I asked the crew if they
- 43:13Speaker 1: had duct tape, and I duck taped my boobs together.
- 43:16Speaker 2: So you had that like cleaving huge?
- 43:18Speaker 1: My boobs were huge.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Did it hurt ripping it off?
- 43:21Speaker 1: Oh? No? I was a little slammed.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Okay, so you were fine.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Season four, Lala was feeling no pain.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Okay, okay, nothing.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:29Speaker 1: See so I like the duct tape, so that would
- 43:31Speaker 1: be my advice. And I know Ariana checks her DMS.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Slide in her DM and ask her what boob tape
- 43:37Speaker 1: she uses because hers look good? Hers? Do we have
- 43:41Speaker 1: another one? Yes? We do?
- 43:43Speaker 3: La La Mama be looking really these days? You are
- 43:48Speaker 3: looking fabulous, fit and fine. And I'm wondering, along with
- 43:55Speaker 3: many of your other listeners and countless fans, what is
- 43:59Speaker 3: an average day in your life as far as your
- 44:03Speaker 3: favorite eats breakfast, floods, dinner, and snacks. Love to know.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Oh, I'm the worst eater ever. I don't want to
- 44:14Speaker 1: say I'm the worst eater ever. I'm great at moderation,
- 44:18Speaker 1: Like I know how to snack my ass off, but
- 44:21Speaker 1: not go overboard. I won't even lie. Yes, I have
- 44:25Speaker 1: Cheetos in my cabinet and I may or may not
- 44:28Speaker 1: come down at midnight to get the bag.
- 44:31Speaker 2: The other day, Lalla was like, can you pick up
- 44:33Speaker 2: some Cheetos? And I was like, what did they look like?
- 44:36Speaker 2: It was like, what are cheetos? I eat?
- 44:39Speaker 4: Hello?
- 44:40Speaker 2: I didn't know if they cheese, if they were the
- 44:43Speaker 2: thick ones or like the crunches.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Yes, crunch, I like the puff I want to feel
- 44:48Speaker 1: like I'm chewing on air cheese.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Cheese.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yes, I would say I'm really into I don't love eggs,
- 44:58Speaker 1: but I try to consume them. I drink a lot
- 45:01Speaker 1: of like protein shakes. I love Insure. Right now, I'm
- 45:04Speaker 1: like really struggling to keep weight on because I'm just
- 45:07Speaker 1: a little stressed. So it's hard for me to consume food. Okay,
- 45:11Speaker 1: but I still need calories, you know. I don't want
- 45:13Speaker 1: to lose I mean I've lost a lot of weight, yeah,
- 45:18Speaker 1: which I don't like. We've talked about that or anymough,
- 45:21Speaker 1: so ensure I stay stocked. I would say lunch and
- 45:25Speaker 1: dinner are like my two things. I'm not a big
- 45:27Speaker 1: breakfast fan.
- 45:29Speaker 2: No me either.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just it doesn't hit right and when I
- 45:32Speaker 1: go out for breakfast, I get the same thing, two
- 45:34Speaker 1: eggs over easy, extra crispy bacon aside a sour dough toast.
- 45:38Speaker 2: You don't get breakfast potatoes? Oh like hash brons, yes,
- 45:44Speaker 2: or like breakfast potatoes like chopped up and fried.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean I get them because it usually comes
- 45:49Speaker 1: with them, but I don't necessarily eat them. Okay, I
- 45:53Speaker 1: try to eat them. Yeah, but you know, is that
- 45:57Speaker 1: a well balanced me?
- 45:59Speaker 2: What the eggs and the.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Seems very heavy in carbs and heavy and carbs. And
- 46:04Speaker 1: by the way, with the egg, I only eat the yolk.
- 46:06Speaker 1: How strange is this? When my eggs over easy, I
- 46:10Speaker 1: only like the yolk. I don't like the white part.
- 46:12Speaker 1: But hard boiled eggs I hate the yolk, only eat
- 46:15Speaker 1: the white part.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Really weird. That's so you don't like the yolk and
- 46:18Speaker 2: hard boiled eggs it's just too dry or something.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Oh, you don't like gets a stick of chalk. But
- 46:27Speaker 1: I dip my bacon in the over easy egg like
- 46:29Speaker 1: a sick fuck.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Yeah no, that's good. And the sour dough and the
- 46:33Speaker 2: sour dough yeah wait, sorry, how do we get on breakfast?
- 46:36Speaker 2: That's oh that's what you always eat?
- 46:38Speaker 1: For breakfast.
- 46:38Speaker 2: What do you do for lunch and dinner?
- 46:40Speaker 1: For lunch, I'm usually eating. God do I even eat lunch.
- 46:46Speaker 2: You'll eat like food that you if you and your
- 46:49Speaker 2: mom have gone out to dinner. I've seen.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Oh. I love leftover, love leftover, love leftovers, So whatever's
- 46:54Speaker 1: leftover in the fridge. I'm a big fan of Mexican food,
- 46:58Speaker 1: Like I love cheese anchiladas with rice and beans and
- 47:00Speaker 1: some hot sauce. That's good, so good, Like I would
- 47:05Speaker 1: say that's one of my favorite meals. But I also
- 47:07Speaker 1: love Greek food. Like you give me a Greek salad
- 47:10Speaker 1: with kalamada? Is that you say it? Kalamada, olives, betta, cheese,
- 47:14Speaker 1: chopped up onions.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Yeah, the red onions.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Yeah, so good, so good. Give me a little side
- 47:20Speaker 1: of pea bread with taziki. I'm going in.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that is good. And let me tell you
- 47:27Speaker 2: the best snack to make. As nobody asked, I want
- 47:30Speaker 2: to know you take well, and I just love food.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I love love food. So you take sour dough bread.
- 47:38Speaker 2: You get your pan on nice and hot drizzle olive oil.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Get the sour dough bread on one side, Get the
- 47:43Speaker 2: side nice and toasty, flip it to the other nice
- 47:45Speaker 2: and toasty. While it's toasting, you mash avocado, lemon, juice, salt,
- 47:51Speaker 2: a little bit of garlic, salt, pepper, crust, red pepper.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Mash it all together. You frying egg up in the
- 47:57Speaker 2: same pan you're making your toast. Put the mashed avocado
- 48:01Speaker 2: on the sour dough, drizzle with honey, flaky sea salt
- 48:05Speaker 2: on top, and then egg on the side. Done so.
- 48:08Speaker 2: And this is like for breakfast, lunch, dinner, anytime.
- 48:11Speaker 1: That sounds so good, it's really good. I'm adding that
- 48:14Speaker 1: to my cabinet. It's really good.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Honey on toast. I just started doing it. I'll make
- 48:21Speaker 2: it for you. It's really good.
- 48:22Speaker 1: It sounds bombed. It's so good. All right, So we'll
- 48:24Speaker 1: leave it at that. This was a fun episode. I
- 48:27Speaker 1: always love when it's the two of us me too,
- 48:29Speaker 1: just sitting in this little room. I feel safe.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I feel safe in this room. This is that's a
- 48:34Speaker 2: good room, theseful walls.
