- 0:00Hello and welcome to the Everyday Eurasia podcast,

- 0:13many different places around the world.
- 0:16Is it beautiful that no matter where we are, we can walk with
- 0:20him every single day? Jesus is the one who connects us
- 0:24all and stands at the very center of our lives day after
- 0:28day. Through this podcast, you'll
- 0:30hear voices from across the region sharing devotionals that
- 0:34reminds us of God's presence in our everyday moments.
- 0:43This week, we're joined by Tammy Bowsa.
- 0:45Originally from Argentina, Tammy grew up in Paraguay and
- 0:49Mozambique, where her parents served.
- 0:51Through the Church of the Nazarene, she studied
- 0:53intercultural studies, earned her MBA, and later served with
- 0:57Nazarene Compassionate Ministries in Jordan, working
- 1:00with local and refugee students. Since May 2025, she has served
- 1:06as the Regional NMI Coordinator for Eurasia.
- 1:09We are grateful to have Timmy with us this week as she shares
- 1:12about the. 5. NMI Priorities.
- 1:16Hi, welcome to day three of talking of the five areas of
- 1:20impact of NMI. On the first day, we talked
- 1:24about prayer and how important it is for us to pray for one
- 1:28another, to pray for the lost, to pray for the broken, and to
- 1:32continuously be in communication with with the needs of our
- 1:36church, not just in our own congregations, but also what is
- 1:40happening all around the world. On Day 2, we were talking about
- 1:44engaging children and youth, that we believe that missions,
- 1:48it's not just for adults, but also that God invites children
- 1:53to be part of his mission and also young people.
- 1:56So we believe that we should be including young people in our
- 2:00NMI councils and different mission activities that we do as
- 2:04a church and that we should continuously educate and let
- 2:08them be part of the mission of God.
- 2:11Today we will be talking about the third area of impact, which
- 2:15is caring connection. There are many around the world
- 2:19that have left their countries, their families, their commodity
- 2:25or their own language, what they're used to, to go and serve
- 2:28in a different country where God has called them to serve.
- 2:32And so in Caring Connection, we believe that we need to be in
- 2:37continuous communication with the people that have said yes to
- 2:42the calling of God to go and serve and reach till the ends of
- 2:46the earth. So in caring Connection, we are
- 2:49caring for our missionaries. We're caring for families or
- 2:54individuals that have moved to other areas to serve for the
- 2:58Kingdom of God in First Thessalonians 511, it says.
- 3:03Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up just as
- 3:08you are doing in Galatians 62. It says carry each other's
- 3:13burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
- 3:18So we believe that missionaries don't stand by themselves, that
- 3:23they are supported by ascending church, ascending district.
- 3:27And also we want to continuously be in communication with them
- 3:31because we know that they're in a country where they don't have
- 3:34their families and there are many challenges.
- 3:37Sometimes there are sickness, some there are visa paperworks
- 3:43and different challenges that they experience and it's very
- 3:47important as a church to be supporting them and praying for
- 3:50them as they're going through these different things.
- 3:54We believe God has called the whole church to be part of the
- 3:57mission of God. Even if you don't feel called to
- 4:00go and serve in another country, you can be part of taking care
- 4:04of people that are serving in another country or contributing
- 4:08towards projects in the the countries that they're serving
- 4:11or different things. So this is what we do in Care
- 4:14and connection. So we have links which connects
- 4:18a local district with a missionary serving on the field.
- 4:23And so continuously during the year, for two years, the
- 4:27missionaries and the districts are in contact with one another,
- 4:33sharing about what God is doing in the country that they're
- 4:36serving, how the district can pray for their family.
- 4:39Normally districts can send letters or sometimes gifts if
- 4:43they desire to and it's a great way of encouraging missionaries
- 4:48so that they don't know that they are not alone.
- 4:50Prayer is very important. You can also invite the
- 4:55missionaries that are your Lynx missionaries to share with your
- 4:58congregations through Zoom or sending videos.
- 5:02Or when they come back home you can invite them to speak at your
- 5:05local churches and share what God is doing in the other side
- 5:09of the world. We believe that we are doing the
- 5:12mission of God all together. Some are called to go, but some
- 5:16are called to pray and some are called to give, but we are all
- 5:20invited to be in the mission of God.
- 5:23Thank you for joining us in this and caring for families that
- 5:27have sacrificially left their countries and what could be easy
- 5:33to go and serve in another area where God has called them to be.
- 5:38In Romans 12 verse four and five it says for just as each of us
- 5:43has one body with many members and these members do not all
- 5:48have the same function. So in Christ we thought many
- 5:53form 1 body and each member belongs to all the others.
- 5:58So we are one body in Christ and we would need one another.
- 6:01We need constants of communication and support, and
- 6:06thank you for being part of this, of caring for what God is
- 6:09doing in different parts of the world and supporting the
- 6:13missionaries that have said yes to the calling of God.
- 6:16And to close, let me pray. God.
- 6:20Today we want to pray for all the missionaries around the.
- 6:23World for. Everyone that.
- 6:25Has said yes to your calling. Even with fear and doubts, not
- 6:30knowing what it. Would be like to.
- 6:33Go to this new country and serve there.
- 6:36But we know that you go before them and that you're making a
- 6:40way, and we trust that you will be their strength when they are
- 6:44going through situations that are not easy.
- 6:48Thank you God. For all that.
- 6:49They're doing to expand your Kingdom around the world.
- 6:53Also allow us to be their support to pray.
- 6:57For their needs to be in constant communication with them
- 7:01and encourage them in what they're doing.
- 7:04Thank you. God for.
- 7:06Allowing us. To also be part.
- 7:09Even if we don't go. But by.
- 7:12Praying and giving and supporting missionaries.
- 7:16Thank you for allowing us. To be part.
- 7:19Of caring for them. In your name we pray.
- 7:23Amen. Thank you for listening to the.
