- 0:00Smila Rahmad, Rahim Ya Mehdi Adrikani, Salaam Alaikum and
- 0:03welcome back to another episode on your favorite Shia Muslim
- 0:06podcast. After Muslim last week, we were
- 0:09blessed to have Sister Batool on our podcast where she shared
- 0:13with us a number of key points which were beneficial,
- 0:16insightful and educational about the ongoing situation in Lebanon
- 0:20as well as the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
- 0:22This week is no different. The discussion continues and we
- 0:25can see a number of key events that have now changed and
- 0:28possibly are about to shape the Middle East region.
- 0:31We've seen the unfortunate assassination of Seth Hassan
- 0:34Nasrallah, a Shia state, retaliation against the against
- 0:37the occupation entity. And insha'allah, this week we
- 0:40have a guest who's going to allow us understand, you know,
- 0:45what is happening in the world today, Where we go next?
- 0:48And more importantly, I have a number of questions I think that
- 0:50concern the entire Muslim Ummah. As always, before we introduce
- 0:55our amazing guests, I would like to welcome my amazing Co host
- 0:59Ahmed Salamat. Alaikum Salam Abdullah.
- 1:11How are you doing, Saeed? I, you know, last week you asked
- 1:15me that question. I said I'm well, but inside I'm
- 1:16not well. I think I'm worth now seeing,
- 1:19you know, the events unfold in front of my eyes online, on
- 1:21social media, beyond the news. But I think we'll discuss it
- 1:25more on the episode. How are you feeling?
- 1:27Yeah, I think pretty accurately, as you said, the same from a
- 1:33humanitarian level, quite disheartened a million people
- 1:37displaced in Lebanon, which is just astonishingly great as a
- 1:41number we can't really comprehend.
- 1:43So there's one to 1.2. Wow.
- 1:46And obviously we're now seeing the escalation into what we call
- 1:51what we may call a full scale regional war.
- 1:54And of course this comes down to none other than the occupation
- 1:57entity and their devious treacherous tactics to occupy,
- 2:02invade and inflict genocide, as you said, on to the people of
- 2:06Gaza and now of course the people of Lebanon.
- 2:09The attacks which are happening are are really unprecedented.
- 2:13And it's ironic because we're now seeing what's called an
- 2:16escalation because of the retaliation of Iran, which of
- 2:19course you alluded to. But the, the, the talk of
- 2:22escalation hadn't come up until now, when ironically, over the
- 2:26last 12 months, we've seen what the last general says is up to
- 2:30200,000 people directly or indirectly killed by Israeli
- 2:33operations in Gaza. We've seen assassination of
- 2:37state actors, sovereign leaders, we've seen cutting off food and
- 2:44water and humanitarian aid and just absolutely preposterous
- 2:48means to inflict torture. This is really torture.
- 2:54And now unfortunately they're trying to do this in Lebanon.
- 2:56Now, obviously we we want to also, we are a Muslim podcast
- 2:59and we have to just say to everyone at home that we are
- 3:01talking about this for the second week running.
- 3:04It's not our usual kind of means and methods of doing things, but
- 3:07because of the absolute sheer gravity of the situation, it's
- 3:12very important for us to do so, for you and us to be informed of
- 3:15what's going on around the world.
- 3:16Regardless where you're from, what age you are, your level of
- 3:19practice or belief, your level of Iman at this time.
- 3:22We're going to talk about it from the religious perspective
- 3:24today. How you as a Muslim in the West
- 3:26can improve your relationship with the last one of the Allah
- 3:29and the other beta in Musalam in a time like this, the Holy Quran
- 3:32as well, but also from an analytical perspective as well.
- 3:36So we have brought on someone who has been in many ways one of
- 3:40the key leading voices, especially on social media, for
- 3:43our share community in the UK and has been representing us
- 3:46incredibly well for the third time, welcome back our dear
- 3:50brother Hassan Al Qadri Islam Alaikum.
- 3:52Alaikum Salaam. How are you bro?
- 3:55How are you? How are you feeling?
- 3:56I think with with everything which has been happening, of
- 3:58course, we're approaching now, but I think by the time I think
- 4:00this releases, we are only a couple of days away from the one
- 4:03year mark of the the conflict, the genocide in Gaza.
- 4:07How how are you feeling both over the last 12 months and
- 4:10especially over the last week or two?
- 4:12Suinda Rahman, Rahim Allah, Muhammad Ali Muhammad.
- 4:17Honestly, I've been feeling strong, proud, honoured,
- 4:25dignified. I feel so honoured to wake up
- 4:30every day and to be a Shia in this specific time.
- 4:36There is no better time to wake up in this generation in this
- 4:41time than to wake up and be a Shia.
- 4:45I say actually I believe every single Shia.
- 4:48I should wake up every day, especially in these days.
- 4:52And do Sir Jude prostate to Allah, subhanahu to Allah and
- 4:56thank him for being a Shia. And then straight after that, go
- 5:00to your mother and father, kiss their hands and feet for them,
- 5:04planting the seed of wilaya in your heart.
- 5:08And not just that, go to your mother even more for her, giving
- 5:12you the nourishment of wilaya, the wilaya of Ali bin Abiyat
- 5:15Ali. There isn't a better time to be
- 5:18a Shia. I am so honoured to be a Shia in
- 5:21this current time that words can't even express it.
- 5:25You know, a lot of people forget that what we are seeing in
- 5:32Lebanon and the resistance in Lebanon, this is a small faction
- 5:35compared to the superpower that's attacking Lebanon.
- 5:38Of course. Yeah.
- 5:39But the one thing that the world has forgotten, the Muslim, the
- 5:43non-muslim and the whole entire world is that we are the Shia of
- 5:48Ali bin Abiya Talib. That is powerful.
- 5:52Of course I'm upset, of course I'm hurt, but I'm a Shia of
- 5:56Aliya Abiya Talib. Look at the honour we are
- 5:59bringing to Islam. People forget we are the sons of
- 6:04better Ahud Haibar, her name Jamal Safin Nahrawan.
- 6:12We're the sons of the companions of Rasulullah, the likes of
- 6:15Mekdad Amar Salman, the likes of Abu Dhar, Abu Ayub Al Ansari,
- 6:23Jaberbin Abdullah Al Ansari, all of these individuals that have
- 6:29made us who we are today. People forget that.
- 6:33People forget that we are the Shia of Ali bin ABI Talib.
- 6:36There is nothing like it. We are the people of the man who
- 6:41said when there was thousands standing in front of him, Hey
- 6:44heart Minadilla, we will never be humiliated in any shape or
- 6:49form. We will not retreat.
- 6:51We have one objective and that is to make sure the people of
- 6:55Palestine first and foremost are safe and for us to have a, to
- 7:02take back from this Zionist entity what they have taken from
- 7:07the Palestinians. It's as simple as that.
- 7:09And we are, we should be so proud that we are Shia.
- 7:12I can't, I can continue for the whole podcast.
- 7:15Just saying that you should feel honoured for that.
- 7:18So I think we shouldn't wake up, feel depressed, don't wake up,
- 7:22feel upset, don't wake up feeling Where do I, what do I
- 7:26do, where do I go? There is a Imam that's alive,
- 7:31there is a imam that's looking after our affairs.
- 7:34Even though it's behind closed doors, even though we cannot see
- 7:38him, he is there. His daughter is powerful.
- 7:41Allah answers his daughter. Don't let anyone take that away
- 7:45from you. So when you wake up, wake up
- 7:48strong because we are strong and because our people back home
- 7:53need us to be strong. So we should be strong.
- 7:57No, brothers, I don't want to hear that from you.
- 7:59I don't want to hear I'm upset. No, of course we're upset.
- 8:02They're getting hurt. But we are strong.
- 8:05We are powerful. We are pushing forward.
- 8:07Let our manner yard, our psychology, our mannerism, be
- 8:12strong. Push forward.
- 8:15We are the sons of Abu Fatwa Abbas.
- 8:17When the companions, he's one of the last ones to be killed.
- 8:20No. In Karbala, we are the graduates
- 8:23of Karbala. We are the graduates of
- 8:25Aishwarya. We are the graduates of the
- 8:27school of Sayyid Zainab. What do we fear?
- 8:31Fear what? Death.
- 8:32Kill us. Martyrdom.
- 8:34Honour. You can't defeat us.
- 8:37There's no defeating us. So we have to remember that.
- 8:40I don't want to see anyone feeling sorry for themselves.
- 8:44Do not feel sorry for yourself. The only thing you should be
- 8:48doing to put it into perspective.
- 8:52Your sadness for what's happening is but of.
- 8:56Course there's a human. Like, look, I completely agree
- 8:59with everything you're saying, but there's a human natural
- 9:02reaction, whether it's Sunni, Shia, non-muslim, anyone in the
- 9:05east or the West. When you see the oppression,
- 9:08when you see the mutilation that is that, you know, these people
- 9:11are faced with and, and the human suffering that people are
- 9:15going through, there's a level of questioning that what is my
- 9:18responsibility living in the West?
- 9:20I can't, for example, go to the immediate aid of people in need.
- 9:24I can't give my home. I can't give aid and and you
- 9:27know, shelter them and embrace them or whatnot.
- 9:30But my aim and the West is still to be of service to them in the
- 9:34East. But my means are limited.
- 9:37So what do you think? No, I think you're very right.
- 9:39And rather, Hassan, I echo, I think everything you said and I
- 9:42believe everyone listening here today.
- 9:44That means not ahead, not ahead. I think we all resonate with the
- 9:49words you mentioned. And just to add to Ahmed, I
- 9:51think he's right. We're so far away from those
- 9:53lands, right? And we see what's happening,
- 9:55what's unfolding in front of our eyes.
- 9:56I mentioned earlier in the intro that we see this daily on our
- 9:59social media. We want to do something and I
- 10:02and I think our duty here first, first of all, is giving them a
- 10:05voice in a way. And I think allowing people to
- 10:08understand what is truthfully taking place.
- 10:10Because, you know, the amount of misinformation and hypocrisy
- 10:13that's taking place in the West makes it more important for us
- 10:16as Muslims to speak out the truth.
- 10:18And as Shia, we know what the hackers, nothing's important
- 10:21that we do mention the truth. But I think what's vital here
- 10:24it's how do we channel that that that yearning of wanting to do
- 10:27something, unable to being here in the West.
- 10:30Does it, does it link to our faith?
- 10:32Is there something we can take like the corridor of our Iman?
- 10:36Yeah, I think that's a very beautiful question.
- 10:41You see, I think there's a few points that needs to be
- 10:44considered that are vital. The first and foremost, it's
- 10:50it's a big shame that this nation, Sunni, Shia, whoever you
- 10:56are, the Muslim nation, the nation of Muhammad Ali, Ali, we
- 11:01have forgotten the power of Doha.
- 11:05Yeah, we have forgotten the power of Doha.
- 11:10We are more powerful because we have the weapon of the prophets,
- 11:15the weapon of the prophets. When our last panel to Allah
- 11:20goes through and tells us the stories of the prophets, he's
- 11:24not telling. It's not a it's not a book of
- 11:26stories. It's to take the Aibar.
- 11:30The examples learn from what they're going through.
- 11:33They go through these hardships and they he's showing us how a
- 11:38great servant of Allah, a great slave of Allah deals with
- 11:42hardships, trials and tribulations.
- 11:47We have forgotten the power of Daar.
- 11:49Let me read you a report. It's found in Al Kafi Al Quleni,
- 11:54narrator from Imam Roba. He says you must hold on to the
- 11:59weapon of the prophets, Allah. Let me ask you a question.
- 12:05Which is more powerful, what America and Israel have or what
- 12:10the prophets have? Of course.
- 12:13And they asked him the companions, what is the weapon
- 12:16of the prophets? He says do ha a lot.
- 12:20What do our you you care about the people of Lebanon and
- 12:25Palestine make do our for them. Our imams have given us do our
- 12:29against the enemies have given us do our for protection.
- 12:35Our imams have given us a Saifa Jadiya, you said to me just
- 12:39before we started recording, you said to me, there was a sister
- 12:43that asked. She said I feel lost, what do we
- 12:46do? What's the first stage?
- 12:47How do? Let me tell you, Imam Sajjad saw
- 12:51what he saw in Karbala. He went through what he went
- 12:56through in Sharm Kufa. What did he give us?
- 13:01The weapon of the prophets as Sahifa Sajjad said.
- 13:07So this is to answer the question first and foremost is
- 13:12dua. We have to rely upon a lot.
- 13:15Dua is so powerful and another hadith al Khulani in al kafi
- 13:19narrates from the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi.
- 13:23He says pleading before Allah for help is the believers
- 13:27weapon, the pillar of religion, the light of the heaven of the
- 13:33heavens and earth. So this is the the foundation of
- 13:40how we support them. Do our you finish your fetcher,
- 13:45do our and by the way and every Salah by the way, you, you do do
- 13:51our Inshallah. But one thing we have to do, we
- 13:54should do it in our local communities and our local
- 13:57Husseini yard centres, mosques. We have to gather by the
- 14:02thousands, put our hands up, recited to our of Imam Sajjad,
- 14:07recited to our of Amir al Mukmanin, recited to our of Imam
- 14:11al Hassan al Hussain. We have we have the weapon of
- 14:15the prophets. Believe me, we have forgotten
- 14:20this very important weapon that we should be using.
- 14:24I agree with that. And I think the second point is,
- 14:28is if you are a doctor, if you are a journalist, if you are
- 14:34someone that has podcasts, you know, you're saying I don't feel
- 14:36like I'm doing enough. No, you're doing enough.
- 14:39Do more, but you're doing enough.
- 14:40Don't worry. You have a podcast.
- 14:42You've used it to bring on people to to be a voice for them
- 14:45oppressed people. You're doing good.
- 14:48Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
- 14:50Use your social media. Make sure other people do it.
- 14:54Try, try do Magilis get people together beside the art
- 14:58together? And have we forgotten that we
- 15:02have an imam to ask the imam to make the art for us to protect
- 15:06the Omar? Yeah.
- 15:08So I think these crucial 2 crucial points are very
- 15:11important. Use your platform, use whatever.
- 15:14If you're a doctor, do a video explaining if if I don't know if
- 15:19someone gets cut or someone gets shot, what's the best thing to
- 15:22do straight away If you can't get to the hospital Can be fun
- 15:24as an example. There's a lot of ways to tie
- 15:27your. Professional.
- 15:27There's so much you can do. If you're someone that does
- 15:31doesn't have too much skills but you have money, give money.
- 15:35Do you know what The thing is? As well as we, we constantly
- 15:38feel like we can't do anything at all but this the, the, the
- 15:41difference between previous conflicts which we've seen in
- 15:44the region or even worldwide and what we've seen in the last year
- 15:47is what this is an information war.
- 15:50This is an information war. We've seen shadow banning.
- 15:53We've seen accounts being suspended.
- 15:56We've seen people get like kind of incarcerated because of their
- 16:01social media posts, purely because the, the absolute reach
- 16:05you can have online tweeting from your home or posting from
- 16:08your home or creating a TikTok video or an Instagram Reel and
- 16:12allowing that to go viral. The, the, the reach is, is, is
- 16:15so fundamentally important that we sometimes overlook it.
- 16:18Do you see what I mean? I think The thing is, as well as
- 16:20a lot of people feel like there's not much I can do now,
- 16:23there is at the absolute minimum, use your tongue.
- 16:26And when we say that, we say it metaphorically, of course,
- 16:28because not everyone wants to come out and speak, you know,
- 16:31but like you said, using your social media, even a retweet, a
- 16:34repost, at the bare minimum, the number of people that we've seen
- 16:38who have just stayed silent. And even by, by the way, I'm,
- 16:41I'm directly talking to those members of our community who for
- 16:45a year have been silent, but in the last week when they see Shia
- 16:48in South Lebanon being attacked, have decided to have a voice.
- 16:52Where you at, bro? Where have you been for the last
- 16:54year, honestly speaking? And now people are coming
- 16:56forward. Oh, may Allah protect the Shia
- 16:58of South Lebanon. Habibi, We're talking about a
- 17:00multicultural, pluralistic society in Lebanon where Shia
- 17:04are not a majority. And you're only making data for
- 17:06the Shia in South Lebanon. Where have you been for a year?
- 17:09When we see the resistance that are taking place, where we see
- 17:11Shia being killed for Sunni children in Gaza?
- 17:15Come on, man. At the bare minimum, at the bare
- 17:18minimum, as a Shia community in the West or a Muslim community
- 17:21in general, use your voice. And like, if you can't use your
- 17:24voice, as you say, use your money, use something, have a
- 17:27conversation with a colleague at work, you know, speak to people
- 17:31in your community, Encourage them to to go out on the streets
- 17:33when there are demonstrations and protests, to sign petitions.
- 17:36There's so many ways of being involved politically when you
- 17:39don't actually have to put yourself out in front of a
- 17:41camera and do the hard work like that.
- 17:43Because some people are great at that like you, but some people
- 17:46are not maybe as as as confident in that field.
- 17:49But there are different ways to get involved.
- 17:52Oh, you're absolutely right. You know, I'm thinking you
- 17:53mentioned the point where you mentioned people are only
- 17:56speaking out now, as in I think you're referring to just the
- 17:59Shiite. Community.
- 18:00Yeah, yeah. Yeah, let's say the ongoing
- 18:02situation now in Lebanon is that people are now standing out
- 18:05saying, you know, may Allah protect the Shia of Lebanon,
- 18:07which is a good thing by the way.
- 18:09Of course, of course, any we only that dua and said Hassan
- 18:12Habibi just back to your point, you mentioned that we should use
- 18:15dua and it makes me think we are Shia.
- 18:18We are a Shia podcast. The majority of our audience are
- 18:20Shia. We come from the school of the
- 18:22the end of both have left us so much treasure, the best, the
- 18:25best, the best of the US. But I want to come back to
- 18:28Ahmed's point here. And I think it's it's beautiful
- 18:30if we can move the conversation this way.
- 18:32Is that recently, since the involvement of Lebanon OR the
- 18:36escalation, Lubnan, we see this noise, this chatter, especially
- 18:40online on Twitter where people speak about Sunnis and Shia.
- 18:45And I, and I think it's a great point to mention now, is there a
- 18:47point in having Sunni, Shia unity to defeat this entity, to
- 18:53work together, to unite against a common enemy?
- 18:56So there's a there's a few ways to answer the question.
- 19:03First and foremost like you mentioned we are Shia so we
- 19:06follow the imams of Alibeit, Ali, Muslim, our imams Alaima
- 19:12Salaam. Especially the later imams where
- 19:15when the Abbas of caliphate took over.
- 19:20My memory is not serving me correctly but they were at war
- 19:22with a non-muslim nation at the time.
- 19:27Imagine that Abbas's and some scholars even say that Abbas's
- 19:32were even worse than the Umayids against the imams of Ellebeid.
- 19:38And they and and our later imams told some of their campaign go
- 19:42and fight with the army of the Abbasid.
- 19:44Why? Because there is the wider
- 19:48objective Muslim land. This guy comes in, he's going
- 19:52to, he's going to, he's going to take, he's going to remove the
- 19:55Kelima, he's going to remove La La.
- 19:59No, no, we don't want that. John, do you understand what I'm
- 20:02saying to you? So this is very important to
- 20:06understand, very important is that the imams in many cases
- 20:12will tell their companions, go and fight with the Abbas army
- 20:15and Abbas are the ones that are killing the imams.
- 20:18Yet they understood the wider picture.
- 20:20Even we have a report in Rovatil Kafi, the last volume of Al
- 20:26Kafi. Where it says why did Imam Ali
- 20:29not revolt? So I'm paraphrasing here.
- 20:34He basically says he says well is Imam Al Barker answering he
- 20:38goes 1. He didn't have the supporters
- 20:42enough 2. If he did, they would have went
- 20:48back to worshipping the idols. Who's they?
- 20:54So the yeah, I mean some of the combat, because they have this
- 20:58thing, they think that we think all of the Sahaba are postated
- 21:02except three or four or five. It's another discussion.
- 21:06I've got a video on it. Everyone wants to whoever wants
- 21:08to is called the Sahaba or the companions and of the messenger
- 21:14of a light and shit. I thought the final cut or
- 21:15something like that, you could refer back to it.
- 21:17But anyway, putting that aside, he's saying the companions that
- 21:24actually knew the truth and then went with the first caliph, Imam
- 21:30Barker, say Imam Ali didn't revolt because of it.
- 21:32Because there is the wider picture, because there is the
- 21:35wider truth there. Look at it as a onion.
- 21:38The first layer of course has conditions.
- 21:43As you go deeper them conditions get more specific.
- 21:46But at a wide disco, yes, our imams did things to support the
- 21:52oppressive Muslim government, to support the Muslims and Imam Ali
- 22:02didn't revolt. One of the reasons because of
- 22:04this. So they don't, they don't go
- 22:06back to worshipping the idols. Imagine that's one.
- 22:09The second thing is, of course, we need unity.
- 22:13Who do you think in the ground in in Gaza is fighting Sunnis?
- 22:19It's not Shias, Let's let's just say how it is.
- 22:22But yes, through the support of Shias, through the support of
- 22:27certain governments, they are getting help to do so.
- 22:30So this is a crucial time for unity.
- 22:34Absolutely. And with unity there's strength,
- 22:39but there's a thing we do not, and I say this clearly, I say
- 22:45this to the camera. So everyone watching, we do not
- 22:49want unity with these extremist Sunnis, these ones that are
- 22:54given our sweets because of the shit as being killed, because of
- 22:58this leader getting killed and so on.
- 23:00We don't want you, don't worry. We don't want unity with you.
- 23:02Don't worry. The conversation is not talking
- 23:04about you. Not the no answer.
- 23:05Yeah, yeah. Not just I don't want to say no
- 23:07answer for now because there's it's a technical term and as a
- 23:10fifty term and so on, not even take, I'm just going to say
- 23:14extremist Sunnis. OK, Let's just say extremist
- 23:17Sunnis, these don't worry. We don't want unity.
- 23:20Yeah, but we're saying 100 and up, bro.
- 23:24You don't understand how many messages I'm getting from
- 23:28Sunnis. They're like, voila, you guys
- 23:31lifted our heads up. Yeah, voila.
- 23:34Yeah. Because bro, at times, sorry to
- 23:36interrupt you, but it's at times like this, like you say, where
- 23:40the values and the lessons and the teachings that we have
- 23:44learned from birth come to light.
- 23:46And even if, even if, like you said, we are living in the West,
- 23:51but our unequivocal stand for justice, undisputed undivided
- 23:57desire to stand for justice, hey, Hartman Nadindler, like you
- 24:01said, comes to light at these times when you have unapologetic
- 24:05approaches towards standing for rights and human rights and
- 24:11standing for the people's right to to defend themselves and
- 24:15their rights to possession and land and homes and property and
- 24:18all of these things. The people need to be vocal in
- 24:21these things. And that that comes from our
- 24:23leadership, our thought process, our mud hub, our hearted.
- 24:26These kind of things have been taught and passed down through
- 24:29generations. Our teachers have taught us this
- 24:31from birth. Can I just say something as well
- 24:33that the say it said? I want to add a point to it
- 24:35which he said he was talking about, you know, that he kind of
- 24:43spoke about the is it a religious thing?
- 24:46I think it was you or you. No, I think it was both of you a
- 24:48religious thing. OK.
- 24:51It's without shadow of a doubt it's religious.
- 24:54It's from a human perspective, it's political, it's
- 24:58geopolitical. Of course, it's all in one.
- 25:02But we our drive, our driving mechanism is our Akida. 100%.
- 25:08Our driving mechanism is Karbala.
- 25:12To say the Zainab is charm is Kulfa, of course.
- 25:17Yeah. I mean, if we don't, if we don't
- 25:19use those lessons now, those narratives now, when are we
- 25:21going to use it? A month ago we were less to be
- 25:26in Karbala or or mourning Arubaeen.
- 25:28Wherever we are in the world, we hear these lessons.
- 25:31We mourn to the point I really believe it.
- 25:34Now obviously we know this Kuluyama Ashura is, is not a
- 25:37legitimate hadith per SE. But the message that we know is
- 25:40clear. The message is what the message
- 25:42is that wherever you see any sort of humiliation around the
- 25:45world, oppression around the world, do something about it,
- 25:47Say something about it. It doesn't matter how many foes
- 25:50you have against you. Be vocal, stand up.
- 25:53And I don't mean that in a cliche way, because we tend to
- 25:56do that a lot. Do you know what I mean?
- 25:57I said to Ahmed, no. And all these points you're both
- 25:59mentioning is what makes our Shia at the end of the day, what
- 26:01makes us stand down and be different, right?
- 26:03But there is a tweet that I came across by the the famous
- 26:07Mohammed Hijab was a very influential person in the Sunni
- 26:11world, in the Western, in the Western world where he said, I
- 26:14want, I want your reaction on this, Hassan Mohammed Hijab
- 26:17said. How low have we set the bar when
- 26:21the impotence and weaknesses of all Sunni Muslim states have
- 26:25less have left us so desperate that a mere fireworks display by
- 26:30a Shia state can spark a false sense of joy?
- 26:33What's your reaction? So I think the first part of his
- 26:39tweet. Since we're talking about Sunni
- 26:41Shia. I think for the first part of
- 26:42his tweet, damn right he's right.
- 26:47Like the first part, yeah, of course, is that you know, where,
- 26:52where, where is the Sunni government?
- 26:54That's true. Where are you?
- 26:58How are you not, not allow not saying anything in your
- 27:01countries when you're seeing your brothers and sisters being
- 27:04butchered? 100% get him to the second part
- 27:08of his tweet about firework display.
- 27:11You know what it is some people. And a false sense of joy.
- 27:15Yeah, some people, you know what it is with them is and believe
- 27:20me, believe me, believe me when I say it because I experience it
- 27:25on on a day-to-day basis. Yeah, some and I, this is very
- 27:30important that we don't brush a Hindu Sunna with the same brush.
- 27:32Of course. Please, this is very important.
- 27:36Some of the best human beings I've ever met in my life are
- 27:39Sunnis, but there are a small group of them.
- 27:44Anything she, they, they can't even they don't.
- 27:48The hearts can't accept it. He doesn't want firework
- 27:51display. Firework display.
- 27:53Have you not been seeing the videos?
- 27:55He's basically saying what Western media and what the
- 27:58Zionists are saying. Oh, they didn't do anything.
- 28:02They didn't do it. They didn't hear anything.
- 28:04Oh, no, they did. Oh, no, they did.
- 28:07We saw the videos, we saw the people from Jordan, we saw the
- 28:11people from Egypt, we saw the people from Tel Aviv.
- 28:14We saw the people from Haifa, we saw the people from Gaza.
- 28:17We saw it. We know what happened, but they
- 28:21can't call us. You know what a loss I know to
- 28:24Alan. The Quran says they've become
- 28:26blind. They have become blind.
- 28:29They have become blind. They they can't accept it.
- 28:33They can't accept that. The ones that are bringing Ezra
- 28:36Karama, Isawa Karama, honour and dignity to this Omar, is the
- 28:42Shia of Ali bin ABI Talib. They can't accept it.
- 28:46No matter what you do, no matter what you do.
- 28:49We've sacrificed children, women, men, everything.
- 28:54Firework display before they had lamp posts in, in, in northern
- 28:59Israel, they had. They're hitting phone lines.
- 29:02Amount of channel. Yeah, that's what they're doing.
- 29:05More truth and insan Islam teaches you to be monsif insaf.
- 29:13What do you mean nothing? Over 1000 people have been
- 29:17killed in Lebanon at least and and the people and the
- 29:23resistance is saying to you it's OK let our blood go.
- 29:28It's all for Gaza. They can't accept this.
- 29:33It's it's in. It's like they make it seem as
- 29:36if it's in their DNA. They're fully.
- 29:38Blinded by this hatred. Firework display.
- 29:41All right, good for you. Firework display.
- 29:43Well, let me see some firework display from somewhere else.
- 29:46Let me see it. I think.
- 29:47Let me see some honour and dignity.
- 29:49Let me see it. At best, at best it's
- 29:54distasteful and at worst it's an embarrassment.
- 29:57And it's humiliation to the dozens and dozens of Muslim
- 30:01states worldwide who've done nothing, nothing, when it comes
- 30:06to aid, when it comes to support, when it comes to being
- 30:09even even cutting ties. Instead of normalizing ties with
- 30:13a genocidal, bloodthirsty colonial settler entity, you're
- 30:18normalizing relations. Well, there was only lip
- 30:20service, and that was in the first few weeks of the genocide.
- 30:23Maybe. The Turkish president is still
- 30:26giving oil. Of course we will.
- 30:28Invade Israel. We will do the you're not going
- 30:30to do anything. The only thing you're going to
- 30:32do is sit there and have some iskandar kebab and eat it.
- 30:35That's the only thing you're going to do.
- 30:36He's allowing the pipelines through Turkey to to Israel.
- 30:40And their largest supply of. Allah, do you know when the
- 30:43Muslims do you know why the Muslims have got to the stage
- 30:47that they've got to? Because there's no such thing as
- 30:50a Zen karama. There's no such thing as dignity
- 30:54and honor. Do you know what it is?
- 30:56Yeah, We have so many Muslim states around the world, and I
- 30:59mean it. If you think about the Far East,
- 31:01East Asia, you think about Asia, subcontinent, Africa, there's so
- 31:06many, yeah, there's so many Muslim states around the world.
- 31:09There's a 1.8 billion of us around the world.
- 31:12And the only one or two or three who are standing up, and we have
- 31:16to name them, we give credit to them, to Iran, to those in
- 31:19Syria, to those in Iraq and Yemen, in Yemen who have been.
- 31:24Which by the way, yeah, I have to interrupt you here.
- 31:26Which by the way, are not Shia Imamiya.
- 31:30Yes, they are Zaidis. Zaidiya, yeah.
- 31:32They are Zaidis. Yeah, they're not.
- 31:34Bro, did you see, did you see the drone that they the American
- 31:37drone they hit? Yeah, it landed.
- 31:39The band are standing on top of it.
- 31:41Wallah, he was he was on. He's wearing slippers.
- 31:45He looked like he just smashed a Mendi and he's sitting there
- 31:48with his dagger and like AK47 that he that he inherited from
- 31:52his great grandfather. These are the people that are a
- 31:56poor country like that. Of course.
- 31:58Well, they have more than Karama than any.
- 32:00Of US 80% of people who are malnourished in Yemen who have
- 32:04been obliterated by the proxy war led by Saudi, the coalition
- 32:08in Yemen since 2015 are now the same ones who are standing up
- 32:12against oppression action and standing up for the Gazans
- 32:14standing up for the Lebanese that's.
- 32:15Because they have morals, Ahmed, they have principles.
- 32:17And you know, you know what, it was shocking.
- 32:20You know, hey, you're mentioning just, I think four or five
- 32:22countries that are standing against world superpowers.
- 32:25Is that what makes them stand out?
- 32:29The Shia? So I'm, I'm, I'm, I don't want
- 32:32to say this is like a sectarian thing, but I think in the Sunni,
- 32:36in the Sunni world, they don't have this thing where I think
- 32:39let's collectively stand against oppression.
- 32:42If we listen to what our leader says, our current leader, if he
- 32:44says nothing, then we're chilling.
- 32:45Am I right in saying that? I've seen that.
- 32:47I must say no, I must say, and I have to be honest, I could say
- 32:52majority of the Sunni world, the people.
- 32:55Yeah, they want. To no, no, no.
- 32:56They want to do something, of course.
- 32:58Of course, no, without a shadow of.
- 32:59A doubt. Do I feel?
- 33:00Do I feel? A shadow of a doubt.
- 33:01Yeah. Do I feel and and we've, I'm not
- 33:03saying it in the sense that I'm taking it away from them.
- 33:07And when I say Ezen Karama, I'm not talking about the Sunnis.
- 33:09I'm, of course, the governments. Yeah, yeah, that has to.
- 33:13Be very clear. These are the richest
- 33:15governments in the world, literally the richest
- 33:17governments in the world who are bending backwards to secularize
- 33:20their own countries, who are bending back and without causing
- 33:23jeopardy to the potential, the chance of hosting a World Cup
- 33:26and hosting in the Olympics and hosting Anthony Joshua boxing
- 33:29ring matches. These guys who don't want to
- 33:32jeopardize and risk commercial gain in, in, in, in, in hope
- 33:38that they can, you know, keep earning money and keep
- 33:40commercializing their commodities and their land and
- 33:43their people to the West. They're betraying their own
- 33:46people. Only what shocks me the most is
- 33:48that the land of Torhades doesn't give a flying monkey
- 33:53that hurts. I think that really hurts the
- 33:54Muslim ummah when they see. The land where it is the
- 33:57correct. Way you know, the land of Mecca
- 33:59and Medina, they're very proud of them.
- 34:01Every Muslim is proud of those lands, right?
- 34:03That's when you see your leaders who supposedly are the
- 34:06custodians of the cabin, doing nothing, not even trying to give
- 34:12a ball or a single ball of water to the people of Gaza, right?
- 34:15Very. I think that should make your
- 34:17question like, what's next in the Muslim world?
- 34:19Like where do we go as Muslims? Of course.
- 34:21Do we still look at scary people scary?
- 34:24Because, yeah, I don't want to say I'm proud for being Shia,
- 34:27but I'll say Al Hamdallah, I'm Shia.
- 34:29Of course my leaders won't do this.
- 34:31They won't abandoned someone. They won't let someone be
- 34:34butchered and massacred. Your women, you know, killed and
- 34:37your children mutilated. This is not something
- 34:39acceptable. And now it's become something
- 34:41very normal in the Muslim world, sadly, sadly.
- 34:45Yeah. And 100% you know I mentioned
- 34:47the country in case I was wondering what am I talking
- 34:49about? Saudi Arabia ruled why Mohammed
- 34:51bin Salman removed the M from his MBS and just keep the BS
- 34:54back to you. That's the truth, man.
- 34:58I like that one. That's.
- 35:01Good, that's good. I haven't heard that one.
- 35:03I haven't heard that. One, I came from the heart, man.
- 35:05From the heart, Yeah. Anyways.
- 35:07So let's kind of move the conversation.
- 35:09On we spoke to our audience by. Yeah, I was about to say.
- 35:12So I wanna firstly thank everyone.
- 35:14We put out some stories earlier today to get your guys thoughts
- 35:19and in a matter of like 5 hours, we've had like 6-7 hundred
- 35:23responses. So thank you so much to
- 35:24everybody who's participated. And listen, if you want to be a
- 35:27part of these, you need to follow us at Aftermarket, a
- 35:29podcast on Instagram, subscribe, join our channel.
- 35:32We have I think 1.5000 followers on there, but we want more.
- 35:35We want to keep expanding. You guys are essentially the
- 35:38executive producer of the show. So in order to be a part shaping
- 35:41these conversations, make sure you join.
- 35:44Yeah. I was just thinking.
- 35:47Yeah, he agrees. He knows he goes to the flow.
- 35:51What what the people want is what the people get.
- 35:53So listen, guys. All right?
- 35:55So I'm going to read a few things and questions that we've
- 35:59asked and also some points that you guys have mentioned.
- 36:01Number one, would you like to see Muslim states working
- 36:04together to defend the oppressed?
- 36:07OK, 97% said yes, overwhelming 97%.
- 36:11But then we asked, do you think Sunni and Shia have effectively
- 36:15worked together now, one year on the one year mark of course, of
- 36:18the genocide taking place in Gaza, 80% said no, they haven't
- 36:21been working effectively together.
- 36:23So 97% of people want to see that with the 80% disagree
- 36:27haven't seen them. On the groundwork, the
- 36:29groundwork we have, we absolutely have in all ways what
- 36:34we're absolutely and. Of course, in terms of defence
- 36:36of one another, but in terms of organization and something
- 36:39strategic from the East or the West.
- 36:41I've seen doors open for unity among the Muslims more now in
- 36:50the last few weeks than I've ever have.
- 36:52I feel like I feel like all Muslims, in terms of we're not
- 36:56talking about politicians now or governments or kings.
- 36:59All Muslims unite on this. All Muslims unite.
- 37:04This is blood of of the Ummah being spilled, innocent blood
- 37:07being shed, sands turning red through the blood of innocent
- 37:11children. You know when you hear a story
- 37:14like Hind Rajab, The story of Hind Rajab, the girl who was
- 37:17killed in the car. For those who don't know, Hind
- 37:19was a six year old girl in in Gaza.
- 37:22She was in the car with her family.
- 37:25Her family got opened with machine gunfire from the Israeli
- 37:29army. Her family died leaving her and
- 37:32her 15 year old cousin. They rang for aid.
- 37:35They called for aid. While on the phone, they sent
- 37:38paramedics. The paramedics approached the
- 37:40car. They opened fire on the
- 37:41paramedics and then they opened fire on the car, killing her
- 37:44cousin. Then she was left alone. 6 year
- 37:46old girl. 6 year old girl left alone pleading, crying for help
- 37:51with her relatives, her family dead, surrounding her in the car
- 37:56and then they open fire on the car and then you know what the
- 37:58report says over 300 bullets penetrated that car on a six
- 38:02year old girl. For what crime?
- 38:03I'm I'm not gonna lie, it makes me a bit emotional.
- 38:06It is emotional, bro. And these these stories are.
- 38:09My daughter is five years old. Well, Habibi, it's very
- 38:12dishearting. And of us as fathers, Hamdullah,
- 38:14we all have, we all have daughters.
- 38:16We all have daughters. It's the most tragic, painful
- 38:19thing to witness. And, you know, you hear stories
- 38:21about Rheem Roharo. You know, these, these, these
- 38:24kind of stories which have have cropped up over the last year.
- 38:27It has brought us together emotionally, sentimentally.
- 38:30We have become united in heart, in heart and mind, in our desire
- 38:35to stand up for those people who are oppressed, who have no water
- 38:37345 days into this, into this war.
- 38:40Last year, they cut off water supplies to the densest
- 38:43population on planet Earth. Do you know what I mean?
- 38:46How on earth is that possible? You know, they, they go into
- 38:50women's homes and widows homes and, and, and wear their
- 38:53garments. And what sort of animals are
- 38:56these bloodthirsty pigs like? There's no other way to describe
- 39:00them. And now we're seeing a, a
- 39:03Hamdullah, a collaborated effort for people who want to speak up.
- 39:07And that's the most amazing thing we finally found.
- 39:10You know, there's a silver lining, there's, there's wisdom
- 39:12and hekma to everything on earth.
- 39:14And the last Bantallah knows best.
- 39:15And we can never say that it was the right it was, it was the
- 39:18best thing that could have happened, but Allah knows that
- 39:20this was the right thing. And this was ultimately, you
- 39:23know, la jochero makarin. Do you know what I mean?
- 39:25It's like this is this is the, the will of our last Bantallah.
- 39:28We submit to it. So I just want to go back to it.
- 39:31Sorry to kind of go on a bit of a tangent.
- 39:33The last question we asked or two more questions.
- 39:35Are you feeling more or less prepared for the coming of Imam
- 39:38Al Mehthi Ajallah Alafajah Sharif?
- 39:4140% said less prepared, 60 said more and we'll come to this.
- 39:45And the last question we'll ask is, has the events of the last
- 39:47year improved your Dean in terms of Quran, Hadith, Iman?
- 39:50And 87% of people said, yes, it has.
- 39:54Now I want to ask you hasn't about specifically this point
- 39:57about Iman Tawakul belief, understanding of the horn of the
- 40:03Imam, whether you are Sunni or Shia, you believe in the coming
- 40:05of the Holy Imam. You believe that the Imam will
- 40:08be sovereign, that it will be wajib to follow the Imam, that
- 40:11the Imam will lead prayer in front of the Nabi Isa Ali
- 40:13Salaam, that he will be sent by Allah spam to Allah and it's
- 40:16wajib on all Muslims to follow the Imam.
- 40:19So given that, and we know that the Imam is due to come and
- 40:23bring justice to the lands, we know that the Imam in our hadith
- 40:27talks about the deceit of the Arab nations.
- 40:29And the Imam talks about how how what's halalu become Haram or
- 40:34what's Haram will become halal and there will be a conflation
- 40:36of issues and morals in the time of the Lahore.
- 40:40But on a personal level, if I can be very honest with you in
- 40:42many ways, and I told you this before, I feel like in some ways
- 40:46I feel less prepared for the upcoming of the Imam because I
- 40:49realized that the Jihad Al Asgar, which is against myself,
- 40:54the battle with myself, the willpower that I must have is
- 40:58maybe not as strong as I thought it would be.
- 41:00And when I look at the oppression taking place around
- 41:02the world and I see people who are strong in their Iman and
- 41:05they have yakin and they know Allah spent Allah is constantly
- 41:07there, you know, has to be Allah when I'm Allah, These people are
- 41:11saying, despite seeing the bloodshed around them, I'm
- 41:14thinking, am I truly ready to be there when the call comes?
- 41:18And because of that, as a result, one may argue or I may
- 41:21argue that maybe I feel less prepared and that I have to
- 41:23consistently work on myself. Maybe I'm not less prepared, but
- 41:26maybe I realize there's much more work to for me to do.
- 41:29Maybe I maybe beforehand I was arrogant and maybe I had ego and
- 41:34I thought, no, I'm in a great community.
- 41:36I have good brothers who I know will recognize the Imam and
- 41:38we'll just go, we'll go with the flow.
- 41:40No, it's not going to be like that.
- 41:42You know, the Imam will be deceived by his own people.
- 41:44We see in our hadith 16,000 Ilama will turn against Imam and
- 41:46Mehdi and the land between Najaf and Karbala.
- 41:48Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah, the batteries.
- 41:52And because of this, I then questioned it.
- 41:54And the Hadith says that these are Ilama who've got marks of
- 41:57subdued on their head and they failed their, their faces turn
- 42:00pale brown from fasting. And I'm thinking, well, if these
- 42:04are the visible Shia who are going to turn against the Imam,
- 42:06where am I? Am I going to be able to
- 42:08recognize the the, the coming of the Imam?
- 42:10And there's so many questions. People are doing research.
- 42:13There's more inquisitiveness now more than ever when it comes to
- 42:15the the understanding of the labour and the signs of the
- 42:18reappearance. Ultimately, in my humble
- 42:21opinion, if our foundations are weak, there's no point learning
- 42:23about the labour of the Imam. If if my foundation and my
- 42:26relationship with Olas Mantala itself is weak.
- 42:28But I just wanted to get your guys thoughts on this.
- 42:30I know I've been speaking a lot. Beautiful reflection, by the
- 42:34way. That was a beautiful reflection.
- 42:36Bib. I was about to do, but look,
- 42:46the, I think the first first steps and they are the most
- 42:52crucial steps that we must take to being making sure that we are
- 43:00ready for the Imam is first of all, knowing the Imam.
- 43:06Every time we look at the Ziara that's found in our books, the
- 43:11ziara of Imam Hussain that we recite, it always talks about
- 43:14marifa. There's a hadith that is found
- 43:18in a book called El Imam O Tabsara by Ibn Baba Wei.
- 43:24So the father of the famous scholar Sheikh Hassadur, he
- 43:28wrote this book. Actually, when he is called El
- 43:31Imam O Tabsara min al Hira, there was confusion.
- 43:36He came just after the Haeba Tel cobra.
- 43:39Now I actually when the Imam was in Haeba, he was alive.
- 43:44He died in the same year at Sheffield Kulini 329.
- 43:48He says. He says that there was
- 43:55confusion. So he wrote this book to prove
- 44:00the Haeba, to prove the Imam exists, to prove all of these
- 44:04things, to give you a matter of fact.
- 44:06But there's a very nice hadith found in the book that I think
- 44:10is the most crucial hadith for us to ponder over and to apply.
- 44:18Zurara says to Imam Masadaq, No, Imam Masada says to Zurara,
- 44:22sorry. He says the Imam says, ya
- 44:25Zurara, there will come a time the Imam is not going to be
- 44:30there. He's going to be in Reba.
- 44:31I'm paraphrasing, he's going to be in Reba, Zorado says, So what
- 44:37do we do at this time? Now I'm a follower.
- 44:41All I know is how to follow. The Imam said go to be upon what
- 44:46you are upon. What does that mean?
- 44:50We have to go back to the books of hadith.
- 44:55It is so crucial that we do wake up in the morning, read some
- 45:01Quran and just read 2 pages of Al Kafi.
- 45:06Learn about your Imam. The first volume of Al Kafi.
- 45:11There's a chapter called Kitab al Hodja, if I'm not wrong,
- 45:16where it talks about the Imama. It's all about the sefat of the
- 45:21Imam. Our imam comes, you're not even
- 45:23going to know who he is. Nah, he's impostor.
- 45:25He's a liar. We don't know.
- 45:27You don't know, you don't read. So it begins with L marifa.
- 45:32Everything goes back to marifa, to have knowledge of something,
- 45:38to know what it is. That's why you need to know who
- 45:41you are worshipping, who Allah is, the sefat of Allah, the
- 45:45Sharia of Allah, the wisdom of Allah, understand all of these
- 45:49factors, the prophets, the imams and so on.
- 45:53So that's the first point. The second one is, see, there's
- 45:57a beautiful hadith, and this is probably one of one of my most
- 46:02favorite hadith that really, it really makes my heart soft.
- 46:10The imams teachers, they say when you are going through
- 46:13hardship, when you are going through trials and tribulations,
- 46:18remember the trials and tribulations of Rasul Allah.
- 46:24Why, why why did they want this from us is because we are
- 46:30connected to him mentally, spiritually, psychologically and
- 46:35for us to be like Rasul Allah went through all of this, I'm
- 46:40OK. I said 100%.
- 46:42May my soul, may my mother and father be sacrificed for him.
- 46:46It's OK. You think Rasulullah didn't see
- 46:48killing? You think Rasulullah didn't see
- 46:52tyrants, didn't see oppressors? He did.
- 46:54And I'll handle Allah. And I'll handle Allah.
- 46:59Our Imams want us to connect to the Rasulullah for us to have a
- 47:05emotional attachment. That's why we cry.
- 47:07By the way, people look at crying as it's just become
- 47:10culture like Salaam Alaik and then they cry.
- 47:13It's like have even the crying but they look try to understand
- 47:18the psychological mental benefits of crying for Imam and
- 47:21I say. Reflect on it.
- 47:23Reflect on it. So I do believe, I believe if
- 47:28there's a time for us to begin, let's start beginning by reading
- 47:32the books of Hadi. Let's begin by reading the books
- 47:35of Hadi. Let's go back to the Arthur, the
- 47:38culture, sayings, actions, biographies of the imams.
- 47:43Let's do it. What are you waiting for?
- 47:47It's all there for you. It's as easy as possible.
- 47:50Can I just shout out, can I just shout out which app which I've
- 47:53been using a lot recently, which is something I know you're part
- 47:56of, which is Tucker Lane. And thanks to Thakleen, I'm now
- 48:00I have at the tip of my finger. This is not a sponsorship, but
- 48:02you're welcome. Sponsor if you want in the
- 48:05future, the books of hadith, a lot of the books of our hadith
- 48:09in English. And now it's just amazing.
- 48:11If I wanna search a phrase or if I wanna search a topic, I'll be
- 48:14able to search and I'll find hadith relating to that.
- 48:17And we've we touched, of course, as you know, said obviously in
- 48:19the past, in in a couple of weeks ago, we released the
- 48:23philosophies of the label, which is an incredible, I would go as
- 48:26far as saying one of the best productions after mockups ever
- 48:28made on Geminis with Shamani Mohammed Ali, which was amazing.
- 48:33We did a three-part series on science, excuse me, Signs of the
- 48:36Reappearance, where Muhammad Ali talks about a lot of the major
- 48:39books. We did a a review of Ketabul
- 48:42Gaber by Sheikh Anatmani, which is of course such a short book,
- 48:46but one of our classical and if not one of our oldest books on
- 48:48the gaber on on analyzing only 470 hadith in the Ketabul gabali
- 48:53but. It's a brilliant book.
- 48:55And it's, it's just goes to show that there is actually a wealth
- 48:58of knowledge there and we haven't really tapped into it.
- 49:01That's that's very true. The the resources are there easy
- 49:05accessible, but it's it's on to us to make that step, make that
- 49:08NIA and Inshallah we do make that move.
- 49:10And Hassan, you know, you mentioned the points of having
- 49:12to, you know, pick up the Quran, pick up the books of Hadith, get
- 49:16to know your Imam, build that matter for that relationship
- 49:18with that connection with the Imam of our time, which is a
- 49:20point because the one who dies without knowing the Imam of his
- 49:23time lies. That was one considered that's
- 49:25ignorant. Now I think this is very
- 49:28important to the conversation we're having here today because
- 49:30we always get this question. It comes in day in day out ever
- 49:34since the 7th of October last year.
- 49:36Which is where is Imam al Mehdi in all of this first of all and
- 49:41where is Allah Azzawajal? Why is he allowing this to
- 49:45happen and why is Imam al Mehdi in all of these are always like
- 49:472 questions that happening where people blame Allah for what's
- 49:51happening on the ground and then blame Imam Mehdi not coming to
- 49:55save the day on the current situation where they sort of
- 49:58lose belief in a way. Like where is Imam Mehdi?
- 50:01We've been told you're going to come here, restore justice.
- 50:04What's happening? How do we?
- 50:06Well, first of all, I would say there's been there in throughout
- 50:09history, there's been more tragic.
- 50:13Yeah, of course. Events, yes.
- 50:14I mean, when the Mongols came into Baghdad, yeah, they they
- 50:19were using the bodies of the Muslims as a bridge to get to
- 50:23get to go get through the river. It's not a joke.
- 50:30The discussion of a loss of Hannah were to Allah.
- 50:32And this whole thing. Now, of course, this is a more
- 50:35of a theological discussion of evil and it's a long one, but in
- 50:40short, I would say this, I would say that a loss of Hannah were
- 50:46to Allah. Remember, these people that are
- 50:49dying, they're going the hearts, they're martyrs, they're going
- 50:53heaven. It's that's the that's the end
- 50:54of the end of the discussion. You know, there's no it's
- 50:58they're going heaven guaranteed. Agenda.
- 51:01Yeah, a last of Hannah to Allah. Also, we must understand from a
- 51:04theological standpoint that evil goodness will never be
- 51:10understood if there was no evil. I understand what I'm saying,
- 51:14yes. So that means you'll never
- 51:16understand something is good unless there's evil, or you'll
- 51:20never understand that something is good unless there is evil or
- 51:24there's something good for you to know that something is evil.
- 51:28And a last panel to Anna. This is an examination for us.
- 51:33Who's going to stand up? Who's going to use his DAR, his
- 51:37heart, his tongue, his hands to aid the Muslims?
- 51:43Who's going to stand before the people?
- 51:46Of Allah so. This is all an examination.
- 51:49Every prophet went through it. Hardships happen.
- 51:53This is what makes us stronger. This is what should make us
- 51:56elevate our status in the eyes of Allah, Subhanahu to Allah.
- 52:00And by the way, I must say this, have you seen how many people
- 52:04have converted to Islam? That's so true.
- 52:05Just seeing the Iman of the people of Palestine.
- 52:09That's very true. Yeah, Yeah.
- 52:11Did you ever see any of these Palestinians complain to Allah?
- 52:14No, they're complaining to the Muslim leaders, but to Allah,
- 52:20never. Alhamdulillah, who?
- 52:22Praise be to Allah. That's what we've been seeing.
- 52:25And As for Imam al Mahdi, Imam al Mahdi, Abdullah Farid Joshi,
- 52:29the fact that this is again, it is a Shia discussion, it is the
- 52:34fact that he exists. Because we believe he's born.
- 52:38Yeah, because, yeah, because Allah, because in the hadith it
- 52:42says if there was no Imam, there was no Hajjah on the earth, the
- 52:47existence wouldn't exist. There has to be a Hajjah that's
- 52:51guiding to Allah. And yes, the Imam, through his
- 52:56through him being a lie, through him waiting for the call of
- 52:59Allah. That's guidance within within
- 53:01itself. Just like when the NBR left
- 53:06their people for a certain amount of time, he left them
- 53:09with certain guidance. Our Imams told us go back to
- 53:12their Imam. Work, work, work.
- 53:15Reach the highest level of Iman. Get your attributes to be
- 53:21stronger. Get the attributes of the
- 53:23movement. All of these factors will make
- 53:26the Imam reappear. So the Imam has a major role in
- 53:31this. Do you think these people in
- 53:33Lebanon, especially the people of Lebanon I'm talking about,
- 53:35Yeah. OK.
- 53:36Because they're Shia, You think that dying is just because they
- 53:42feel like they need to protect their land?
- 53:45You think they would sacrifice all of that just for land?
- 53:48That's a bigger picture. There is a bigger picture.
- 53:52We are working towards the Imam and that's what we want to do.
- 53:55So a loss of Hanoi to Allah is guiding us to what To see the
- 54:03evil through that you, you have to see it.
- 54:06Sometimes we don't understand what evil is until you see it.
- 54:09We truly don't, because sometimes you could talk about
- 54:13evil, but seeing it is different.
- 54:16So this is a very important point and I think it was a very
- 54:18good. Question as well.
- 54:19Sounds beautiful. Beautiful.
- 54:21Answer. I want to ask you because
- 54:22obviously we had a lot of people contribute on Instagram and a
- 54:27lot of the points mentioned were very much directly in relation
- 54:31to what you mentioned hasn't and all of the points you mentioned.
- 54:34But obviously we can't go through all of them.
- 54:36But are there any ones which stood out to you particular?
- 54:38There was, I've got a few open right now actually, you know the
- 54:40last question that we asked, which was has the events of the
- 54:45last year improved your Dean, your Quran, your hadith, your
- 54:48man, etcetera. And there was a very few
- 54:49interesting one. I'm going to read a few.
- 54:53One brother said it's a clear sign from a last panel at Allah.
- 54:58We must improve our Amal and pray for others.
- 55:00Yeah, more calamities means closer to the reappearance.
- 55:05So more so so so more need to improve our faith.
- 55:10Someone said this weakened it, but I'm on an action plan to get
- 55:13it back up. I.
- 55:14Said. I like that, that's nice.
- 55:16Seeing what's going on in the world is really a wake up call.
- 55:18Getting closer to Allah is the way to go.
- 55:23Someone said the it's constant. Yes it has increased my
- 55:26geopolitical knowledge. Someone said I definitely have
- 55:30gotten closer to our last panel at Allah and feel the importance
- 55:33of Ahil Bates during these times.
- 55:38This is all down to the advent of our Imam Hajalat al Afarja,
- 55:41meaning it's not far. We need to wake up.
- 55:44Someone else mentioned I think importantly Palestinians have
- 55:46showed what faith is and humans can lack humanity.
- 55:49This is what I've learnt and I'll read one more.
- 55:53I reverted to Shia Azim because of Imam Al Mehdi and the Raznam
- 55:57massacre played a huge role in my reversion.
- 56:00And I think that's one example. You know, when we when we say,
- 56:02you know, the Shia are giving their life on the ground.
- 56:05You know, we had, what's his name say that Sam Mekhi had a
- 56:09very beautiful quote he put up on on Twitter where he said the
- 56:14Shia Shia leader died for the Sunni Muslims, which which I
- 56:19think that there's a point in saying I need.
- 56:23It's it. There is a bigger picture to
- 56:24this. When you say, for example, the
- 56:26Lebanese resistance, it's not just about a piece of land.
- 56:29There is more. And, you know, you have roots
- 56:31back to Lebanon. Yeah.
- 56:33And I I just want you to. Most people think I'm Arab,
- 56:35yeah. Do you have you got family in
- 56:37Lebanon right now? Yeah, he does.
- 56:38Yeah. Yeah, your grandmother.
- 56:39My grandmother's house. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:42Bro, what's my grandmother's? What's my sorry to say?
- 56:45That's what grandmother got. She got Batata and Bev and what
- 56:50she got. Are you bombing a house?
- 56:52They bombed the whole she she has a whole building.
- 56:54They bombed the whole thing. Charlotte House and gender.
- 56:58Where? Where is she now?
- 56:59We'll see it. We were fighting with her for
- 57:01time to get her out, to get her out.
- 57:04She didn't want to leave two days before they bombed it or
- 57:07three days before we got her to Trablos, Tripoli.
- 57:11OK, in the North, She's, she's safe now.
- 57:13Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's got family around.
- 57:15Her. Yeah, yeah.
- 57:15She's with my uncle, I remember. Once we went translated, I think
- 57:24your grandmother. 'S family hosted us oh was it no
- 57:25way it was really for those who couldn't hear it was about
- 57:28saying that husband's grandmother was hosted in in
- 57:31Lebanon, the soldiers in. Their family, you know what I
- 57:35actually, I think I remember we met a family that I think one of
- 57:41the they call Omar Shahid, one of one of her sons died, died
- 57:46protecting the shrine of say, the Zainab.
- 57:48Yeah, Ali has Salaam. And, you know, since we're
- 57:50mentioning this, and I think if we can go back to this, I think
- 57:54as a final question from me and this discussion on the Sundar
- 57:56Shia topic, is that something that's like driving me crazy
- 58:01online? Right.
- 58:02Yeah. And it's been gone on for a very
- 58:05long time. Then ever since, you know, the
- 58:06Lebanese resistance got heavily involved in in very recent days,
- 58:13is that there's like an uptick of people claiming that the Shia
- 58:17killed the hell of Sunnah and Surya.
- 58:20What on earth is this? Because for me when I see it,
- 58:24it's like, bro, the Shias when and defended the Muslim Ummah
- 58:28from the likes of ISIS, the filth of ISIS, you know, Jabhat
- 58:31and Nusra, Nusra, Fraun and all these people Gania.
- 58:35Who were we killing if we were, if the Shia were killing Muslims
- 58:38in Syria? Yeah, so.
- 58:40Sorry to go to. That no, no, no.
- 58:42There's so many Shiites. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:44But. How is was the kind of U-turn
- 58:45this? Surya discussion is a very
- 58:47complicated one. It's a complicated one, but I'll
- 58:50try to break it down in a very simplistic.
- 58:52Because you know the likes of hijab and all this.
- 58:54Yeah, yeah, yeah. Always reference they, they
- 58:56always reference this stuff. So you had the Arab Spring that
- 59:05was happening in the Arab Muslim countries, right?
- 59:08Yes, they were revolting and things like that.
- 59:13So they were doing what they were doing.
- 59:15I think people need to understand majority of the Shia
- 59:22do not hold Bashar al-Assad in a high regard.
- 59:26He is a volume, there's no doubt about it.
- 59:29Of course. Like, I mean, there's no doubt,
- 59:31yeah, but he has a few points that are worthy to be
- 59:39considered, which is he is a Arab nationalist and he cares
- 59:46about or he's shown, he's shown that he cares about the
- 59:51Palestinian 'cause that's something to be, to be very
- 59:57important that we consider. We're talking to Father from the
- 59:59very. Beginning.
- 1:00:00Yeah, yeah. Even his father, who's probably
- 1:00:02a bigger tyrant than he he is, he did the same thing.
- 1:00:05Arab nationalists, he, he cared about Arab world and he cared
- 1:00:09about Palestine and he was against Israel, the Zionists.
- 1:00:14Yeah. So when the protests and things
- 1:00:18like that started happening, it was all fine.
- 1:00:21Everything, you know, not fine, but as in the Lebanese
- 1:00:24resistance haven't got involved yet or anything like that.
- 1:00:31And they were protesting, so it got out of hand.
- 1:00:36Now they started to become rebels.
- 1:00:40Yes. And when they became rebels, it
- 1:00:43became OK, this is when. And there were different
- 1:00:48factions within the rebels. So they weren't all just Jabhat
- 1:00:52al Nusra or there were different factions.
- 1:00:55That was FSA. Yeah, there was all different
- 1:00:58ones. And what started happening, some
- 1:01:03of these factions start to get funded by Israel and America
- 1:01:09then. And by the way, a funny
- 1:01:12question, a very funny question. When you look at Palestine and
- 1:01:17what's happening in Palestine, are you seeing anyone from
- 1:01:20around the world travelling? They started travelling to go
- 1:01:24and fight in Palestine from the Muslim world.
- 1:01:27That's not true. What happened in Surya 1?
- 1:01:30Observation in Surya Woo. The calls for jihad, did you
- 1:01:34see? The calls for jihad.
- 1:01:35And by the way, them scholars were scholars for the dollars.
- 1:01:40Not all of them, but a big majority of them.
- 1:01:44Why? Because the war became Israel
- 1:01:48got involved, America got involved, Russia got involved,
- 1:01:54Qatar got involved, Sodia got involved and it was all a
- 1:01:59playing field because Surya holds a very crucial
- 1:02:06geographical position in the world next to Israel.
- 1:02:12They, they help the resistance, all of these things.
- 1:02:16So they, they started attacking, they started saying Luknan next
- 1:02:22they wanted to go to Sham. They started doing bombing all
- 1:02:27of these different shrines. What do you expect that she had
- 1:02:32to do? Do you expect me to come say to
- 1:02:35you, here's the plan, here are my sisters.
- 1:02:40Oh, by the way, I've got family down there as well.
- 1:02:42You want to go and see them, Of course you're going to fight.
- 1:02:45I just remembered they also dug out the grave.
- 1:02:47I should have been the ID. Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:49And that's the problem. So people forget that it wasn't
- 1:02:54that she has came in. They're like, oh, I hate
- 1:02:58Anderson. Let me just go and kill them.
- 1:03:00No, what all the Billah, our Dean, our Sharia doesn't permit
- 1:03:05that at all. I don't care what you say, but
- 1:03:09the way it happened, I know someone that was there and he
- 1:03:14was trying to get out of the country and when they were
- 1:03:17pushing back these rebels, he goes, I was able they one of
- 1:03:23their store house storage units, it was all Israeli missiles and
- 1:03:28weapons. It was clear that these some of
- 1:03:33these factions or a lot of these factions knowingly or
- 1:03:36unknowingly was getting funded by Israel designers.
- 1:03:40It's simple. To even to add to that, by the
- 1:03:42way, there is evidential proof and this is factual and you can
- 1:03:45find on Western sources, western sources that the injured of
- 1:03:50these so-called rebels, well part of Jupiter Northern and
- 1:03:54other groups like that were actually being treated in this
- 1:03:56hospitals. Yeah.
- 1:03:59And it's. And you watch now, a lot of
- 1:04:02these rebels now are all in Idlib.
- 1:04:04Yeah. So they're putting out posters.
- 1:04:07They're like, thank you, Netanyahu.
- 1:04:08Matisse shut off my deck. So.
- 1:04:11Karama, my deck. What do you mean?
- 1:04:13Thank you, Netanyahu. Thank you, Netanyahu.
- 1:04:15For what? And they're, they're, they're,
- 1:04:17they're they're coming together now and they're going to come
- 1:04:20back stronger. And they're not even talking
- 1:04:22about fighting for Palestine. They have even mentioned they
- 1:04:24just said they want to fight. Who?
- 1:04:25Shia, the Shia, Lobnan, Iran and this is a big problem by the
- 1:04:35way, this is a major problem, major problem.
- 1:04:38The Soviet thing they keep on me or the treachery.
- 1:04:41You know, I want to read you out something.
- 1:04:43This is very important. Actually I've put on my social
- 1:04:46media before, but I want you to listen and and look how these
- 1:04:51people think. Sure.
- 1:04:53So Ibn Kathir, he is the student of Dahebi and Ibn Tamiya, he has
- 1:04:58a book on history, it's called Al Bidya on Nihaya, he says.
- 1:05:03And thereafter came the year 443 after Hijra, in the month of
- 1:05:10Safar, there occurred a war between the Rawafil and the
- 1:05:15Sunnah and elder Sunnah. It probably happened in a place
- 1:05:19called Karah, because that's where I loved the Shia.
- 1:05:21I was in Baghdad, so many individuals were killed from
- 1:05:26both sides and this was because the Rahafu erected signs and
- 1:05:31would write on them in gold. Muhammad and Ali are the best of
- 1:05:35Croatian and whoever is pleased has displayed displaced pleasure
- 1:05:42and whoever denies this has disbelieved that Ehrlu Sunnah
- 1:05:46denied the comparison of Ali to Muhammad.
- 1:05:49Therefore war erupted between them and the fighting continued
- 1:05:53to Rabi al Awal. So a hashemi was killed.
- 1:05:58So someone from Beni Hashem was killed and buried with Imam
- 1:06:02Ahmed and the Sunnis tortured and sorry, and the Sunnis
- 1:06:06returned from his burial and ransacked the grave of Musa bin
- 1:06:11Jafar and burnt the shrines of Musa and Muhammad al Jawat.
- 1:06:19All the Shia I did, by the way, before they more or less had
- 1:06:21peace. How does you do your thing?
- 1:06:23We do. He put up a sign.
- 1:06:26It's the Shia area, the Tisha Aliq la merit.
- 1:06:30He wants his foot on top of your head.
- 1:06:34Sorry, the time of the omeids and the Abbas is gone, finished.
- 1:06:40No more. No more feet on top of our
- 1:06:44heads. We are the Shia of Ali.
- 1:06:47Understand it. They think they think I would
- 1:06:51rather a fair just Sunni take over Surya than Bashar al-Assad
- 1:06:58100% but some of it's not going to work with America and Israel
- 1:07:02someone that's going to help fight the resistance against
- 1:07:05Israel. I don't want I don't want to see
- 1:07:08any anyone from any Sunnah get killed Hash Alinda.
- 1:07:12But look at look, this is by the way, history repeats itself.
- 1:07:17History repeats itself. You you think when Salahuddin
- 1:07:20Ayubi, he entered the Egypt, it was a Fatimid.
- 1:07:24The Fatimid, the empire was there?
- 1:07:27No. Yeah.
- 1:07:28Do you know what they were doing?
- 1:07:30They were killing babies, you know, around 150 years ago in
- 1:07:36Afghanistan. And shout out to my Hazara
- 1:07:40brothers and sisters. Voila, They are warriors.
- 1:07:42Yeah. Do you know what they did 150
- 1:07:44years ago? The king at the time, and no one
- 1:07:47knows this. Their own historians say this.
- 1:07:50Their own historians say this. Do you know what they said?
- 1:07:53He goes. The king at the time, there was
- 1:07:55a lot of Hazaras. Hazaras.
- 1:07:57There was a big percentage of the Hazaras in Afghanistan.
- 1:08:00Do you know why it went down? I'm going to tell you now, their
- 1:08:03own historians say he got a fatwa from Saudi Arabia based
- 1:08:07upon the words of Alam al Majlisi in his book Hayat al
- 1:08:12Ulu, where he talks against Aisha.
- 1:08:16So he got the fatwa That is permissible.
- 1:08:18Kill them. They were throwing babies in the
- 1:08:21air and catching them with Spears.
- 1:08:26These are the people that were that we was fighting in Syria.
- 1:08:29Yes, some of the rebel, some of the groups within the rebels
- 1:08:33didn't support America and the Zionists.
- 1:08:35Even at one point they started fighting each other and so on.
- 1:08:38I get that. But at the end of the day, when
- 1:08:41we are seeing that America and Israel is getting involved, what
- 1:08:44do you want the people of Lebanon to do?
- 1:08:46Open their doors? So it wasn't just about being
- 1:08:52with Bashar, but Sharon was already fighting you and we had
- 1:08:55to get involved and push you guys back.
- 1:08:58No one wanted it, but that's just the reality of it.
- 1:09:03Sorry I get a bit passionate. Forgive.
- 1:09:05Me no, no support. Passion is great.
- 1:09:06We need to understand. I think this goes to show for
- 1:09:09everyone. History.
- 1:09:11Look, today you've covered everything from contemporary
- 1:09:14understanding and like understanding geopolitical stuff
- 1:09:17today, recent history and modern history, as well as classical
- 1:09:21history in Islam, Hadith, Quran, da.
- 1:09:24We've touched on everything today, Hamdullah.
- 1:09:26And I think the main thing, look, for me takeaways, which
- 1:09:29I've learnt, of course, the first thing you talked about was
- 1:09:31pride, having pride in our acquired, in our mud hub, on our
- 1:09:35lineage, on our belief system and what we foresee and what we
- 1:09:39are told is to come. And beyond that as well,
- 1:09:43understanding generally how we yearn for unity amongst Omar.
- 1:09:47We yearn to protect our Sunni brothers and sisters and vice
- 1:09:49versa. We hope that's the same.
- 1:09:51But we stand against extremism, fundamentalism, literalism when
- 1:09:54it comes in any form or shape. But more so than ever, this is a
- 1:09:59time where we need to be a united front against the
- 1:10:03oppressor because we are facing, as we mentioned, an apartheid
- 1:10:06state who will not stop at any means, at any means from
- 1:10:13pillaging and destruction of innocent homes, families,
- 1:10:15villages. And they will achieve their
- 1:10:18goals if they have it their way. And unfortunately, it needs to
- 1:10:21be such a case where the people of the world come against that,
- 1:10:25fight against that and don't allow it to take place.
- 1:10:28Because if that manifests, then we have a very, very unfortunate
- 1:10:33few years to come. And inshallah, listen, we know
- 1:10:36the coming weeks and months are going to be difficult, I think
- 1:10:39for everyone, but none more so than those who are battling on
- 1:10:44the ground and those who are losing family members and losing
- 1:10:48their lives, losing their loved ones because they are really
- 1:10:51doing the jihad. They are the ones who are
- 1:10:54surrendering to the will of a lost panel.
- 1:10:56They are doing the almost work. Yes, yes.
- 1:10:58And we have it easy in the West and we are, our concerns are our
- 1:11:03taxes and petrol prices and stuff like that.
- 1:11:06You know, our grades, our grades in school and our relationship
- 1:11:11with our parents and stopping listening to music.
- 1:11:13And these are our struggles. We're now talking about a
- 1:11:17community of people, not just a community.
- 1:11:19I need 2 million people in Gaza, okay, a million displaced in
- 1:11:23Lebanon, including your grandmother.
- 1:11:24May Allah bless her and protect her and her family there.
- 1:11:27These are people who are struggling and they need us now
- 1:11:30more than ever. So we can't afford to be weak.
- 1:11:32We can't afford to be weak minded.
- 1:11:34Weak willed. Ultimately, the jihad in Neffs
- 1:11:38is very important for us now because if we can say no to
- 1:11:41ourselves, if we can restrain from ourselves, then it'll be
- 1:11:46easy for us to join the Imam inshallah because we know that
- 1:11:49we'll do the right thing. We have conviction, we have
- 1:11:51experience of it. If we continuously do the right
- 1:11:54thing and we prepare our nests and we become into a habit of
- 1:11:57developing, I love for doing halal and wajibat and mustahabat
- 1:12:03and restraining and refraining from from Haram and makuru.
- 1:12:06It will become easy for us to do the right thing at the at the
- 1:12:09right time. In Charlotte we pray to be alive
- 1:12:11with the whole of the Imam and if not, to return.
- 1:12:13With I think we should be nice if we recite that to end in
- 1:12:17Charlotte. Allah Humma Kuni Alikal Hajati
- 1:12:23Abdel Hassan. Yeah, I mean Allah, Muhammad.
- 1:13:00Muhammad, my Allah, hasten his reappearance, you know, read the
- 1:13:04lines of Mehta Tarana when Iraq and Inshallah that day comes
- 1:13:07very soon. Hassan.
- 1:13:09It's been an amazing conversation.
- 1:13:11So much I've. Learned so much and there's so
- 1:13:13much I need to reflect on, you know, and we learn from Russell
- 1:13:15Allah, Allah when he was telling me no, he says an hour of
- 1:13:18reflection is equal to 70 years of worship.
- 1:13:22And I think we can all use the opportunity to get closer to
- 1:13:24Allah and build that amarafa with the Imam of our time during
- 1:13:28these typical days. Santia and guys, listen, if you
- 1:13:31were still tuning in, thank you so much.
- 1:13:33We will try our best to keep doing this kind of conversation
- 1:13:37and listen even if we revert back to the usual style of
- 1:13:40conversation, the usual topics, we will continually update,
- 1:13:44inform and Sharla educate ourselves such that we can share
- 1:13:49with yourselves as well. But look, we don't want to be
- 1:13:52silent and and passive and complicit in in in allowing the
- 1:13:57aggression to take place towards our brothers, sisters and such.
- 1:14:00We have a voice and we'll try our best to continue using it
- 1:14:03inshallah. One more thing guys, if you are
- 1:14:07still listening and if you are UK based or even not, we are
- 1:14:11hoping to release details and Shot Allah soon about an event
- 1:14:17we have taking place in Shot Allah in January.
- 1:14:19So it's still unconfirmed, it's still kind of lining things up,
- 1:14:22but we want to do a grand celebration around the birth of
- 1:14:26Amiram, what Manin Alim Dalim Ali Salaam.
- 1:14:29And we want to invite every single subscriber to come,
