- JB: Second. finish well. What's good everybody? Welcome back to another sports sports talk with JB inside the barber shop. Today we have our usual Tuesday crew and we're doing NFL breakdown Tuesday nights live. So this week we'll be talking about some of the injuries that's going on, some of the still unbeaten unbeaten teams, the ass whooping that the Saints got the to start off with I got my dog Smooth in the house. Troy: And this time, I'm you both of them. I'm going to show Smooth: represent them cowboys. Troy: you the key to the key of cut. JB: day got my boy oldest reddit I mean my bad motown representing the come representing the commanders Smooth: Thank Boots out. Motown: You already know who I am, Redskins and Commanders, and we ain't gonna forget about the Washington football team, you heard me? Smooth: of man. JB: Let's get it. And and we got Mr. Mr. Conservatial. Motown: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all of it, all that, all that. JB: Gotta put him on the show. What's good, Troy? Motown: De la doo da. Troy: Yeah, we here. Smooth: Man, trouble, trouble, trouble. Troy: Let's go. Let's go. JB: All right, Bob, we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna go ahead and jump in. let's do a recap. Let's start off with the Cowboys. The Cowboys rallied back from ten from ten percent down to halftime to beat Houston smooth. What was the statement? Was that s was that a statement win or did Houston just collapse? Smooth: wasn't a statement win, it was a win. We needed that win, they both needed to win, but I don't see it in those statement wins. JB: yeah, especially Houston. Smooth: I just see it as a, you know, it was just a black and white win right there. That's all that was, you JB: St Smooth: know what saying? JB: for the state of state of Houston. I mean state of Texas. Smooth: Yeah, bragging right, that's all that was. JB: Right. What's your thoughts on it, homie? Motown: That was a good win for them, man. They needed it. That was a good win. Statement win. I actually, if y'all can hold a taste back, that was my upset of the week. I'm gonna claim, I'm gonna say it first for anybody else throwing it at me. That was my upset of the week. And I think Dallas, we all know they have a talented team, man. They really do. We all know they do, but can they put it together and keep it together? They be the team to have a good defense, but they just haven't found themselves yet. So I wouldn't say it was a statement win, because Houston is nothing, nobody right Troy: you Motown: now. They got a good win. Congratulations, Cowboy fans. JB: Yeah, I said like you said, they talented. They just gotta get that that defense. They came they played when they needed to. I gotta give them that, but you smooth secondary. I know y'all, what y'all are still injured, right? Couple of key injuries. Yeah. So what's your thoughts on Detroit? Smooth: Yeah, Troy: Man, was a that was a disow win, man. I was pissed off about that. I was- man, listen. Smooth: Hahaha Troy: When Houston was up, bro, I'm like, yeah, let's go! But listen, Motown: Two. Minute two. JB: See Smooth: Damn! Troy: the secondary, man, the secondary- Listen, Houston had the game. The end- the last play with, what you that touchdown. Bro, why the corner was number five? Why you playing- off at the goal line and you give in CD land the inside. Smooth: Here we go. Troy: I thought and my thing is stinging. Come on man. Stop that stinging supposed to be the Smooth: Where's the head up? Troy: number one corner. Why are you not on land? JB: So you wanna see Stanley travel what since one on like they used to do back in the days, one on one? Troy: What you got to if you if you supposed to be that dude You supposed Smooth: He was all sick. Troy: to you put and did in when mad pickers ain't ain't do shit the whole game. He had three catches Smooth: Yeah, too good. Troy: When when you saw lamb had fucking he had three Smooth: them cats mad man. Troy: when lamb when lamb when lamb got fucking 15 Smooth: Big fashion. JB: Seventeen seventeen catches. Seven seventeen one eighty nine. Troy: Receptions nigga, you supposed to be on him. He had 17 at the end, but you supposed to be on him Smooth: You didn't want to, did you? Troy: You see that he's burning everybody. You're supposed to be about to lock him up. Come on, bro. Smooth: and wonders. Motown: adjustment. JB: What Motown: Coach, adjustment. Smooth: then they take this stuff off. JB: I just about to say what you what you Troy: But look, at the end of the day, they ain't even Smooth: They take this stuff off. Troy: must know, that's not even must know coaches. Man, that's a player like, he doing it, I got him. I'm gonna go to the coaches, I'm gonna let him know. Smooth: You gotta pick your toys. You gotta pick JB: So C D Lamb has seventeen catches. So when would you would you have I you I last week we talked you said pick your poise. would you have double team him on catch number ten? Motown: For me, what I would have done if I seen him, after 10 catches, that man is hot. Okay? So that means the defensive coordinator have to make some type of adjustment to slow him down, close him up, whatever you want to do, but you got to make an adjustment because he's the one killing you. If he have 10 catches, he's the one killing you. So I'm gonna say it was the coaching that they didn't make the adjustment. And I understand what Troy's saying. I agree with him too. Stingley getting paid the top dollar. So he's pulled a step up and say, I got him because he hurting us. So I got him. He didn't do that nor the coaches. JB: Which are smooth. Smooth: And you got to your poison. He was on him a couple of times. I mean, they moved CD around a lot. That's why he didn't stay on. If he had motion and coming and slinging, doing all these, Troy: That don't mean nothing. Smooth: listen to me, if he had motion and we moving him around, how are you going to stay on him? You understand? It's hard to stay on a person when you do. That's Troy: But that don't mean nothing. Smooth: how you moving around. That's why we move him around. Troy: That don't mean nothing. Smooth: You play ball? Motown: But they do have a thing that they call the traveling defensive back. So that means you're going on the best receiver. Troy: I played defensive back my whole life. Smooth: Well, you should know better. You should know this. You know that. Okay. Okay. Well, guess what? He JB: Yeah, I Troy: That don't mean nothing. That don't mean nothing. Man, the greatest corners always travel. Come on, Smooth: go all lamb and then pickings go off. It ain't no fucking difference. Troy: But everybody wants a pick and shoot it was all about Graham. That's what I'm saying So why would you not double him? But but listen at the end of the day, but at the end of the day you're listen But listen that Okay, Smooth: Because we have, that's what I'm telling you. You got a pick we don't check. You gonna check lamb or you gonna check picket? You choose picket, right? Troy: but I'm gonna let somebody else do I might have let somebody else do it to me because ain't no way a number one receiver like man They can you're not gonna be solo dolo anyway. I'm always have somebody on top of you man. That's what that's Smooth: Both of them number one receivers. Dang, both of them number one receivers. Troy: how it happened Smooth: We got two number one receivers, not one. Troy: man man lamb is your number one no you don't lamb is your one lamb is your one pick is your two come on man come on man and then you can go on any other team any other defense you can always double that number one that number one always going to get double Smooth: Alright, bruh. Alright, bruh. Alright, bruh. You right. You right. You right. You right. Don't JB: That's it. All right. Sid it? So Smooth: come up here. Motown: Unless that lockdown JB: Yeah. Yeah, Motown: really get them locked down. JB: I was about to say in Troy: Right, other than that you can always have somebody on time. Come on man. Smooth: They got somebody on top of pickings all the time, dog. They know what that boy can do. Two catches, he need two big catches. Troy: No, listen, when I miss you again. Smooth: That matter. Them two catches, that was big time catches that matter. Troy: LAMBITSY ONE! Smooth: We needed them catches. Motown: So wait, wait, wait, so let me get this straight. Smoove, you saying that they Troy: you Motown: double team Pickens and not Lamb? Smooth: Yes, that's they've been doing. That's why Lam went off to other games. Troy: What sense does make? What sense does that make? Smooth: Then he go off to other games he went up on, y'all. With Troy: That ain't make no sense. Smooth: the y'all, huh, E? He went off on y'all, Motown: I didn't pay attention too much to the Lamb picking double coverage Smooth: Like 10 Kits of Desk. Motown: because to me it didn't really matter because we was in the game and what y'all was doing wasn't like, it wasn't like he had the game he had yesterday, I mean Sunday. Smooth: Yeah, can you talk about that? Yeah, that was against y'all. That was against y'all. JB: Yeah. Right. Smooth: He ain't had 17, but he had a lot of them. You know what saying? JB: So Motown: He ain't no 2 touchdown either. He had 2 touchdowns. JB: So C C J I know I see so I know Smooth: Thank you. JB: we talked about CJ, I think, a couple of weeks ago. Talk about how he struggled, but he de he had a a decent game this time, what he had three hundred and forty seven yards, two touchdowns. So you think pretty much Houston defense let him down or are they are they brought out of gas in that second half? 'Cause that's when Cowboys really Motown: Yeah, the defense had them down today. Let that boy get loose with 17 catches and then they came back and won the game. So you got to put it on the defense. JB: Right. Troy: Yeah, most definitely is the defense like JB: Defense. Troy: dude ain't no way you gonna let lamb Go free like how he was running man. He was supposed to get doubled the whole fucking game. I don't care what nobody see right, but you Motown: Even if they was doubling pickings, even if they was doubling pickings, when Lam had a tenth, when he had his tenth reception, let's switch it up now. Let's do something else because it ain't working. JB: They should have something different, yeah. I I agree. Troy: And then again at the goal line, at the goal line, why are you, why are you off? Why are you playing off the ball as a corner at a goal line? Come on, Brandon, you let him go straight. You know what saying? Go straight in the, in the end zone, go straight inside, catch the ball. And you ain't need my tone. Right? Come on, bro. You could have played three yards off, but you playing you in the end zone. You're in the end zone. Smooth: You can believe it or not. Believe it or not, but some of them do be Motown: you Smooth: scared, dawg. Some of them do be scared, and some of do they be faced. Some of them do. I ain't talking about them. Yeah, I mean, I beg. I ain't know everything when my, like I said, when people go up against George, some of them always be scared. Troy: Well, you shouldn't be in the lead then. You shouldn't be in the lead. JB: shouldn't be in the league, right? what time? Motown: Okay. Smooth: hey, that's JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: how it is though. Some people be nervous. Yeah, Troy: You be an elite. If you're scared, you shouldn't be an elite. Smooth: it be like that, dawg. JB: All right, we're gonna we're gonna come back to some of this cowboys talk. Let's talk about some of the undefeated that was that that loss. New England had the Buffalo they first loss. Detroit, Carolina beat Detroit despite golf having four hundred twelve yards. What surprise out of those two out of those what surprises y'all the most out of those two teams? That the the New England beating Buffalo Troy: No English? Smooth: Well, I'm not surprised that New England are JB: What about what about we? Smooth: winning because New England have been busting their ass for a little minute now. They got their numbers. Motown: I had several reasons why I'm not surprised about the New England game. I picked them to win because for one, it was time for them to win, to get out of that slump they were in. And Buffalo was time for them to lose because they were riding a little high. But I also looked at the matchup and I said that that's a division game. So that being said, I gave the edge to the Patriots only because it was time for them to wake up. And I know a of be like, what? You gave them the edge because of that? They're not the better team. No, they're not. They wasn't the better team. but they was a better team. I JB: That day. Motown: picked the Patriots to win that game. The Detroit game? They're not on the road right now. So I really can't pick them on doing any and to be honest with you, I really can't. Even though they can score points, I think they can get outscored too. Carolina, Troy: Yeah Motown: and you know I say Carolina's been playing real good football. Carolina's been playing on both JB: Yeah, I was about to just about to bring that up. Motown: sides, on both sides. Troy: But for me, it was Detroit defense. They don't look the same. I'm gonna say not, they front four, now they look good. It's their back JB: Yeah. Troy: half that's really not, you know what saying, not doing well. Smooth: I'm a full-on I'm on the bed, go. Troy: they are secondary or they ain't, but they front four. I'm gonna even say they front seven, don't look bad. But Carolina, they just look that much better. JB: Yeah, Carolina did look good. because Smooth: All grip. JB: Bryce, young Bryce is having a a a quite good season. I think he still leads the lead in in score in yards. Motown: Yes. Yes. Troy: Yeah, he's leading the alley. Yeah, duh. JB: Right. Smooth: Roll. JB: That's so that I know we talked about it before on who the best quarterback in our in that division. And we all picked, I think we all pretty much picked Bryce, I think. For the with Carolina to win win that division. Yeah, but Bryce playing Motown: Yeah, I'm here. JB: some ball, man. all right, let's move on to the the unbeaten unbeaten teams, the carrot 49ers in the Kansas City. games. Is he is he playing MVP level? I believe Smooth said it last week. He right now yeah, he's the VP of the league 'cause he's balling when we picked what's we calling what y'all thoughts on the forty nine is being four and with the team they have and how pearly playing. What's that? Troy: I'm about to tell you, they Smooth: Good. Troy: got a good team, bruh. Like, their offense, they got, they can run some numbers. So, I want to say it's Brock, it's his weapons he got too. So, that's the part for him. It ain't like he really that guy, but he just got a good supporting cast and he got it all. JB: Back. Motown: I think I think San Francisco is good. They're playing good football But the thing for me with San Francisco is where they be able to stay away from the injuries every last player on their team that's a contributor majorly have injuries every season Samuel McCaffrey Kittles, I'm not gonna throw pretty in there too much, but he'd had a couple injuries, too So if they can stay away from the injuries Yes Troy: Yeah, Fred Warner. Yeah, even on the defense team. Definitely. Motown: That's another one. Yeah, they so that's that's the one thing I think for me with them because that thing they are the better team with the coaching added, but the injuries drops them a couple. Smooth: That's I was about to say. I was about say the coaching. It's always the coaching. No matter what quarterback he get, he make every last one of them look good. Garoppolo, Sam Donnell, Baker Mayfield, whoever he come across, his system is one of the best systems in the league. did. So, and it be worth it. JB: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, 'cause I was Motown: agree with you on that, I do. JB: just about to ask how much of Purley's success is due to Kyle Shellingham's system and the talent around him 'cause I'm I'm gonna say he don't Troy: yeah, without a doubt, 100%. JB: he don't have a lot of talent around him right now. That's why to me is it's a it's surprising. he's he's playing ball cause say that you have a w you just brought Cook up, what what his name is? Yeah, Brandon Cook up from from Motown: Thanks, Hook. Yeah. JB: practice squad. you're all your receivers pretty much hurt Smooth: you JB: You got one receiver, IA. they don't want at the team no more. And I'm gonna I'm not gonna lie to you, Debo's surprising me, man, with the weight loss and the way he's playing. Troy: Yeah. Motown: Is the system? Is the system? Is the system? Smooth: Yeah. JB: Right. And but also he's lighter too, so he's getting back to his playing weight. Troy: And then he come back home. Then he came back home too. So yeah, he back home so. Motown: He can't lie familiarity with that, but it's still the system though. It's the system. They know how to Troy: Have a good day. Motown: use them too. You know, they know how to use them. JB: That's why I say I would love to have if if we was to get Odell, man. I know I know I know Kyle will make a not get him, but he I'm being serious, man. I would I know Kyle will make him Kyle will make him work. Smooth: Yeah. Motown: No, I honestly believe that. No, Smooth: You can work, you can work, you can work. You can work out, you can work out. Motown: he'll fit in. He'll fit in with your organization. He would. He really would. Yeah, and he'll get some time too. He'll get some time. JB: Especially especially when right now Troy: Listen. JB: no no no number one corner. Troy: Where he needs to go at is Philly. Smooth: my goodness. more than that. Any more than that. More than that. Motown: No. JB: Man, man, we need we need we need than we need Thanos over there, man. Troy: Listen. Listen. Motown: No, that's not a good system for them. JB: That's a good transit. Motown: That's not a good system. They can't even use their rookies they got right now. Smooth: Yeah. Motown: And with Saquon being gone, they in trouble. Smooth: That's bad. JB: Right. Troy: Say bye. Motown: But now you're about to see, you really got to see Hurts pass the ball now. You got to see it now, consistently, week by week now. Smooth: Yeah, let's see the quarterback. JB: Before you wait, wait e before you get there, let's say this. Of the Eagles, Chargers, and the Bucks, which team concerns you the most right now and why? Motown: I would say the Eagles because, because Barclays gone. Barclays brings a different dimension to the game with his catching ability and his blocking, but him not being there, you run on your third string running back, which nobody had tape on them. So you can get away with something right now. But is he going to feel the shoes totally like Barclays? Nah. So now you got to go to the passing game a little bit more. And they've always said that he's not, he's a pastor. He is a pastor. And I think he want to prove himself as a pastor, but Will he is the question. Will he prove himself at it? Cause he gonna have to pass a lot more now. He's going to be passing the ball at least 30 times a game. Yeah. Smooth: I'm gonna say the charges. JB: Yeah. Smooth: The reason why I say the charges is because Motown: Over. Smooth: they feel it, they got some people hurt and they traded out their number one receiver. it was like a, let's see how, we already knew it was a let's see how the office was gonna look, new office coordinator. You understand? But these people is, and you ain't expect them to be on. Motown: Yeah, we're not concerned at all. Smooth: Yeah, you expect them to be old and folk. You think what I'm saying? When nobody hurt like them people hurt. You think what I'm saying? These people got, these JB: Right. I was I was about to say that Smooth: people are healthier. You think what I'm saying? And these people want two games, not healthy. So, so I, I say it's Charlie. Just say what you got T. JB: What do you got, Troy? Troy: I say a tamp, a long ass bake or not though. Smooth: Yeah. JB: Makeup that's right here. Is back? you're Troy: No, he's still out. He's still out. for right now. Motown: Yeah. Yeah. Well, we're gonna see, we're gonna need Smooth: We ain't playing thirst. Motown: to address this again in about two weeks because if Philly don't win at least one game out of two weeks, they're gonna be really in trouble, bruh. Troy: I'm about to tell you, they need another receiver, bruh. JB: Alright, so so wait Troy. Hello Troy. Wait e on that qu on that one, which one of the which one you believe can turn the season around? He go to East Qu Smooth: Ha! Eagle. Motown: Now I would say y'all could turn it around. Smooth: Eagle's man. Eagle's body. Troy: Yeah, definitely. Motown: I think y'all could turn it around. Because Tampa JB: And I'll just Motown: right now, they're dealing with a rookie quarterback. So they don't even know when they're to get Baker back. So that's right there is to let you know that they season is, you can pin your ears but go on. With the Chargers, I don't even know if they're going to find their way because they always have injuries, but they so far in the whole, in that division where they got with the West. Can't see the running away, the Raiders running away. You know what saying? So it's going to be hard for them to even catch up. Philly, they got a chance to turn around because, easily because of the division itself. Our division is just a division where you can, you can, Smooth: Subscribe. Motown: look at the Giants, man. Look at the Giants. I ain't even going say nothing. Look at the Giants. I told Smooth: me. Motown: you these boys was going, I'm afraid of hardball with them Giants, bro. With no quarterback. No, I ain't going say no quarterback, with, bro. Say it, bro. Troy: Come on, man, I'll do James then. Come on, James. JB: Right. What you got, Joy? Smooth: James could win some games, James could win some games. He ain't gonna win all of Motown: Yeah. Smooth: them, but he could win some. Motown: Jammy's going with some games. Harbaugh going with some games. The defense going with some games. Troy: Look, my boy out here eating W's. JB: You hear you heard that man say you know you heard him say Troy: W's come on, Jamis JB: put some respect on his name. Troy: You know Motown: It's for Troy: what saying? Motown: me! Smooth: my goodness. Troy: My boy EW's writing opera. JB: Right. What you got, Smooth? Are you answered already, Smooth? Which team B can turn around? Alright, E, let's move on to your team, man. Lamar Jackson. No, Lamar, I'm tripping. Wash Washington. I guess get to y'all quarterback thing. Smooth: Got the radical. JB: and what what what y'all gonna do, man? yeah, you you might yeah, take that. Go ahead and put the whole head over your eye. So What's what's your biggest what's your biggest Motown: you JB: concern right now, E with the way y'all going? Motown: Well, with the quarterback situation, I feel like me personally, I would give Daniels another week. I'll let the rookie play so you can see something out of him. And we play in the division game, but I still would let the rookie play. As far as Mariota, we was going to win that game if he wouldn't have got hurt. That was no doubt in my mind. That game was over. We was going to win that game. But by him being out and Daniels, they trying to rush him back, I'm starting to feel like that Dan Quinn putting that, he making it seem like the JB: Russia. Motown: pressure on him. to win or he fired. And I wouldn't fire him because I, smooth, I know I told you this earlier in the season, I said, man, I don't like that hire. I think we buying time right now with Dan Quinn. I think we just buying time. But the season played out good. Then I said, okay, Smooth: Thank Motown: all right, he all right. He's player coach, but I wouldn't fire him. I wouldn't even suggest firing him right now because coaches need more than three years. We had Andrews last year, we had Andrews this year. No, I wouldn't fire him. But as far as the quarterback situation, I wouldn't. I bench, I will let Danielson on the bench another week and let the rookie play and just to see what we have. mean, one in three out of four games with the schedule we had, we good. That's good for me. So that was a hard schedule, JB: think Troy? Motown: first four games. Smooth: Yeah, you're right. JB: Think they're rushing them back too too early, Troy? Troy: yeah, most definitely. I think he need like at least like two weeks. You know what saying? Even though it's on his non-throwing hand, arm, dawg, it's still, you know what saying? What if you get hit? You know what saying? You never know like what's gonna happen. And look at that. See? Motown: RUBBITER! Troy: Yeah, like so that's why I wasn't rushing back. I would say a whole nother week. Two weeks. Motown: And another thing too that he said himself that his arm was a little painful to bend with that brace on it. Two days ago, he said that. Now, I mean, I'm pretty sure he got a little more comfortable with it since then, but that's why I said another week, man. Give him another week. JB: gonna have to really protect that arm 'cause ev like he said, every probably every time he you gonna know you they're gonna be testing him, hitting him. He gonna be grabbing that arm and in So what you got, Smooth? Smooth: Say bruh, I'll let him rest. I'll Motown: And the Giants defensive line, they're going to get back there. They're going to get back there. JB: Yeah. Smooth: let him rest longer than that man. I want him to be hell here. That's my money man. I want him super here. I probably wouldn't even him play the rest of the year. You dig what saying? I want it strong. It ain't gonna Motown: I said that too. I said that too. Smooth: never heal. He's Troy: Nah, you know that's not gonna happen. Smooth: gonna be an RG3, cause it ain't gonna heal. Motown: We gotta bring another quarterback in. If he sit, we have to bring another quarterback in. Smooth: You gotta bring another court. I mean, you gotta bring another court. You gotta chunk it up. Yeah. JB: Yeah, I I saw RG Three's campaigning. Troy: RG3 ready? RG3 say he ready to go. Smooth: Bring JB: I wanna see how this D Motown: What you think, JB? What you think? JB: I think they should rest him. I'm with I'm with with the guys, man. I I wouldn't I I wouldn't bring him back that early, but I feel like what you said just now, they putting pressure on him from the upper from the upper like the upper office, man, 'cause this Smooth: Thank you. JB: the injury like that, 'cause at first it was trying to say he might come back might come back. I I guess the the doctors give him another I guess a second opinion, third opinion, what you want to call it. I would I would I would rest his ass, man, 'cause I think the but I think the management is is putting pressure on the coach to get him back in there and probably his own self. 'Cause he's up for a contract this year too, right? Or n or Daniels, he signed our Troy: I think it's next Smooth: 5, Motown: No, no, no. Troy: year. Smooth: 2, 2. Motown: This is his third year date. What they're talking about doing is Troy: Yeah, it's next year. JB: Re five man. Motown: they're talking about go ahead and extending him his fifth year now so they at least have two years and not have to worry about him for two years because if they don't do it this year, then next year he's going to be playing for the fifth year. And that means he can really demand something more than he demanded JB: Yeah. Motown: now. it would be smart. What I told Smoove earlier, I said, before the season, I it would probably be smart to go ahead and give him his contract now before all these injuries came. Give him his contract so he won't have to worry about it because they were talking about him being the first $700 million quarterback. I mean, the first 70 million, 70 million, 70 million a year. Troy: But he ain't even worth it. He ain't even worth that. JB: So sure, you'll give you Motown: No, not right now. He's not. Not right now. No. JB: one more one more like I know you said they they wanna get him now for the cheap, but you will give him one more season healthy next year before you give before you commit that money. Troy: Yeah, I need a whole season. Yeah, most definitely. Motown: But if they sign them, they sign them to the option fifth year, not really, it's going to be a nice sum of money, but they won't be losing it compared to what they would have to pay him if they don't sign. Troy: I'd do that, I'd rather do that than, you know what saying, give him an extension now. And you know what saying, what if he come back and then he get hurt next year? So then you really out of, you know what saying, you just spent a whole bunch of money for somebody who's just be sitting on the sideline. I'll just, you know I'm saying, like I'll let the season play out and then come next year. But again, so y'all gonna waste, y'all wasting money. But again, that's wasting Smooth: Thanks for listening. Motown: We can do it. We can do it. Cleveland did it. Cleveland did it. Cleveland did it. Smooth: Thank you. Troy: money. That's wasting Smooth: That's why they were even left. Troy: money. Y'all wasting money like that. Smooth: God bless you. Troy: You can put that money somewhere else on something that you really need, offensive lines. But hey, E, tell me what you thought about when your boy made that spin quarterback. He made that spin with nobody around. Smooth: Yeah. Motown: Corvette. Troy: Y'all quarterback. Sweet. Motown: It was sweet. Smooth: there was one. Motown: Yeah, he gotta cut back some yards out of that. Troy: I was like, man, what the hell? What the hell did happen to him? JB: So Motown: That's a rookie, Troy: And look, even the announcer said, Smooth: and we'll back. Troy: he did that a little too early. Too early. JB: So you you think he hit the spin button too too early, Troy on on hitting Smooth: but the family would be better. Troy: Even the announcer said, I think that was a little too early for that one. Motown: Wait, didn't he get two Smooth: been shown. Motown: more yards? Troy: It done him as bad. It done JB: He did, he did. 'Cause they 'cause he caught them all he caught them by surprise. Cause they like, what the what the fuck? Troy: him as bad. Yeah. I guess the boys Smooth: See you soon, I don't know who said it. He said somebody. Motown: He caught himself by surprise. Troy: have added his bestest move. Y'all don't see me. JB: Man, that's that's since we talking about injuries. We got Lamar Jackson left the game with an ankle injury, Jamar Chase concussion, he and concussion protocol. T. Higgins left the game, hurt I think he was real hurt from that that Travis Hunter. Yeah, Troy: That move? JB: and Smooth: you. JB: Saquon Barkley suffered a hamstring. which which injury has the biggest effect on your team? Lamar Lamar Chase sh Higgins Barkley Barkley. Troy: Cincinnati. You can't JB: They got two injuries. Troy: lose both of your receivers. Smooth: They got both of them hurt. Troy: You know I'm saying especially if T Higgins really hurt hurt like that then Nines out of ten Chase ain't playing this week because of the concussion program call You JB: Right. Troy: know I'm saying Nines out of ten he's not gonna play then if T Higgins don't play then who you got Motown: But I don't know because they didn't really make it serious. They didn't really make it that serious with him. They just stated his head turned with the helmet. So it wasn't like he got knocked out or anything. It's just, it's a Troy: When you turn around. Motown: f— Chase. Smooth: Great. Troy: no, he hit that ground. If you really look at it after, he hit it. When that second man came, his head went back. So he hit the Motown: Good luck. Troy: pavement. So again, he probably ain't gonna play this week. Nine out of 10, he gonna be out. But then if he hit his out, who you gonna throw the ball to? JB: Be in trouble. Right. Motown: Say bruh, I listen. I don't know if y'all pay attention, but they have this receiver that they didn't have for two years on the practice squad and they've been trying to get them on the squad. Huh? Smooth: Mayor. Mayor. Mayor. Motown: No, no, no. Smooth: Fascinating. He Motown: the receiver I'm talking about, I'm thinking about, he reminds me of T. Higgins, but just a younger version. And he's been on their practice squad for two years and they just brought him up last week. He can feel the shoes. Yes. Smooth: Did he do something? Did he do something? Motown: I'm about to get his name. Yes. Troy: Now I'm about to tell you. Motown: Yes, yes. He didn't get it. Troy: boy! Smooth: I was looking at him on the way. Troy: I'm about to tell you. Smooth: I looked at him on the way. Motown: I'm about to get his name for you. Troy: I like not even much a boy who Travis hit. He wasn't bad, Travis hit that boy like, ugh. JB: Yeah. Yeah, that was crazy. All right, Troy: Yeah. JB: let's move on to the why are we gonna talk about this one? But the Monday night game. Oof. I know Ego didn't put your chest out 'cause you called it, but New Orleans Sa Atlanta Falcons beat the Saints forty five to twenty four. Atlanta ran for two hundred and seven yards on five touchdowns. He had 145 yards with two touchdowns. In the other running back, Brian on Robinson has sixty two yards in a touchdown. Smooth: Thank you. JB: The Saints fall to one and three. Motown: Thank you. JB: what y'all thoughts on what what the Saints didn't do or they or they could have did better besides stop the run. Troy: Defense defense I'm Smooth: Evening. Troy: about to tell you even when you're when Kool-Aid when Kool-Aid was trying to check What's your boy London man, London may hit that book. Look, listen, they they secondary they defense ain't come to play chase chase young He really do nothing cuz all other games she was playing but this game he really was you know Motown: He had some good plays, he had a sack, he had some plays. But I would say to Troy: But he wanted... Motown: me, I would say it would be the offensive play-calling. Because, like I said, they put all these accolades on these offensive coordinators and say they gurus and they geniuses and all this, a lot of them, they don't know how to adapt in the game. They don't know situational football. Because if you're losing in a game at home, for one, for the Lord have mercy, but you're losing in a game. You have to find a way to get an edge. And if you have the ball, then you already have an edge. Now you gotta get the edge with the ball. And they just didn't seem to get that edge. They never came up with something like to catch them off guard. Cause you're behind. And it's like they was playing just simple football. So I would say this just to me, was just the play calling, offensive play calling. JB: You got some Motown: Cause if they would have done anything at home on offense, that crowd would have gotten pumped up in and got everybody into it. They just couldn't get the crowd into it. Smooth: I'm gonna say. JB: But you asked me. Smooth: I'm from both office and defense. Really, if you want to put the blame on you know I'm saying that they both let each other down. And you know I'm saying they could they never get the run really established. You understand, to control JB: I was just about to say that Smooth: the game anyway, so if you can't control the game with the run. You're gonna bend for a long day, buddy. Atlanta control the game with the run and see how well I got them. Troy: But the Smooth: You dig? Troy: thing is, listen, Motown: They had a lot of good field position too. They had a lot of good field position in that game. Smooth: Yeah, Troy: Atlanta got a front seven too. Smooth: they got a nice defense. Troy: They found seven ain't Motown: Mm-hmm. Troy: bad. And then the offensive line ain't bad either. Smooth: We were having JB: Yeah. Smooth: all these guys throw it to Kyle Pitt. They win the game. that bitch to Kyle Pitt. Throw it to him. JB: Yeah. 'Cause I know Motown: There's some sense reason I think they boycotting that boy. don't know why, bro. I just don't see why he can't never get the JB: I Motown: ball. JB: I forgot he played for him, but again, he called it on I know you I know it's only one game. I know you called it before you said they got probably the most talented in in that division. But I'm gonna say Michael Jr. Motown: Phoenix. JB: Pendix. Yeah, he say bro that that last two games, bro, that if they can get him on play like he's been playing his last two games, I agree with you. Falcons can make some noise, man. That that dude that Motown: He gonna get better! He gonna get better! Smooth: and some good talk. Troy: Hey listen, JB: And I think Troy: man listen. JB: I'm trying to remember who I talked to about this owner, it was Troy or E. We talked about what did he do, what did Tua do to make him wanna start. I forgot who I had that conversation with. 'Cause I know that Tua's supposed to be Troy: We was talking about that. JB: the I think Tua's supposed to be the man, but like like he's saying, if he keep if if picks keep playing like that, man, yeah, too might as well just just just chill. Smooth: I that's why he's talking like that. Motown: Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Troy: But listen, it's also with that coast too, yo. JB: Set a control? Troy: I think it's more about that coach, know, the fans can, know, he ain't a, for me, he ain't a fan of a brother. Motown: Here at 2 Time Head Coach Winner, we coached her the year. Troy: Man, but he ain't for the brothers. Smooth: it. Motown: I mean, I ain't gonna Troy: So... Motown: go. Hey, but just to bring it back, the receiver name, y'all look out for him. Mitchell Tinsley. Look out for him, I'm telling you. Smooth: Been on the team, we know by him. Motown: I told you he'd been on the team, but they had him on the practice squad for two years, and they just called him up. But Smooth: frame. Motown: if both of them receivers are out, they gonna look like they going to Issa Voss, that's his name, but they gonna, Smooth: like a one-off room. Motown: gonna, they trend to Tinsley. That boy have hands, man, I'm telling you. And he got some height, he... Mitchell Tinsley. JB: Hey, I guess we was we talking about this Falcons game, Chase Young been having a pretty much a a good season. I think this is the best he's been playing since he's been for the Saints. a is he even in his prime? Smooth: Well... Troy: Well, he was hurt. He was hurt the most. The beginner is Corusso. Yeah, you can really say he that Yeah Yeah, he wasn't doing nothing Motown: Yeah. Yeah. He in the beginning. He in the beginning of his prayer, because he's been doing that for three years. JB: Would do. All right. Would y'all would if he keep if he if he keep balling re sign them to a bigger contract? 'Cause you it's hard to get 'cause Cam on his way out, I don't see nobody else who yeah, I don't see nobody Smooth: I don't know whether you do better. Troy: This came last year. JB: else on that line who really doing their thing. Smooth: That's something to what it is. I don't know about how big. Motown: Nah. If he's on the contract for at least two more years, not yet. Not yet. Troy: I let him stay because you know a lot of times them boys sign that contract and they just be duds. last year. You know what saying? Motown: Yeah, I love that. JB: Actually Troy: Do something this year and next year after you ball, yeah, sign it bro. But you know, I need a little more. JB: Yeah, 'cause he signed it is Israel signed two thousand twenty was it two thousand twenty five? Troy: I need a little more. Motown: think that, yeah, they gave them like one or two one-year contracts. JB: Yeah. Troy: Yeah, but you know, he's injured palm JB: Okay. Troy: too, so you gotta watch that. Motown: And that's the new dress I usually give him some more I'm with you on that T. Give me see some more. Troy: Yeah, yeah, because he's injured, because every time you look he's injured. So I'll wait. I'm looking at him. I think he'll be even better once, once Cam Motown: here Troy: come back. Once Cam come back and both of them, think, you know, I'm saying that's when they'll be better. But, know, you'll really see him. But, you know, JB: So what I know we talked about one of the teams that's undefeated. So what y'all thoughts of the the Kansas City? Are you think still feel like they're they still a team to beat in the AFC? Troy: And look, they're beatable. Listen, they just be getting by, right? Motown: He's back! Troy: They be getting by. Listen, they was supposed to lose that game Sunday. Well, again, Oakland what they did, they folded, you know? Smooth: Thank Troy: They be losing, but some kind of way, they just, you know what saying? Towards the end, they come back. So. That's how I look at it. Motown: I think that Kansas City is a team to reckon with. Because, you keep saying JB. They gave that boy running back. And please, NFL, do not let that boy get Tyree Hill. Smooth: No? JB: In this Troy: They might get him because you know that boy went out Sunday with that angle you saw that? You saw that boy at fun? Motown: Yes. Yes. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. I saw the injury. Smooth: I didn't mean to speak to you. JB: Please say. Motown: I saw it. But if he get Tyreek Hill back, I'm Smooth: I'm back over there. Motown: not saying immediately, but later on in the season. yeah. yeah. Smooth: You're going to JB: And they said he should be Smooth: it. JB: making the decision, they said what this week, right? Motown: Yeah, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Kansas City. Somebody's gonna offer JB: Yeah. Motown: them more money, but it's gonna be Kansas City, because even though they got a chance. Smooth: They're going to be going JB: Exactly. Smooth: over that, man. You're going to know that. You know it. Motown: That boy probably eat barbecue right now with no people, man. JB: So what what team Troy: But with him and wording? That's it boy, name number one. Motown: Yeah, but he might steal some of that time though. He might steal some of that boy time. Well, with Rice out, how long Rice JB: Yeah. I know Troy: Aw man, them two together? Nah. No. Smooth: yeah. JB: Yeah, 'cause I know Rice Rice got her too. Motown: is gonna be out? How long Rice is gonna be out? Smooth: Great. Motown: out, then those two, JB: That changed it. Motown: yeah. But if Rice Troy: Yeah. Motown: is in, then he gonna steal some of that boy time. Smooth: Mm-hmm. on Troy: Duh. Smooth: time. Motown: you mean, nah? Troy: Nah. Smooth: All the practice. Motown: You saying, so you saying we're gonna stay on the field more than here? Troy: Yeah, Smooth: No. Troy: they might be on the same time, come on. So listen, Smooth: I didn't know that I was taking it. Troy: he been that dude for him these last couple of years, Huh? Motown: Rawr! Rawr! Smooth: It depends on where you stay, man. Troy: Come on, bro. Motown: Wrong. He has not been that dude since Tariq Hibbin gone. He ain't been that same dude. Tariq Hibbin, nobody feel that shoes like from when Tariq left, nobody feel those shoes. If anybody came close, it was Kelsey. That's it. No receiver. Rashid Reisman, he been trying, but he been injured, having off field problems. Nobody has feel Tariq Hibbin shoes. Nobody. JB: So did the Raiders, even though the Raiders lost that game, but did you y'all still feel like they did their thing they not the old Raiders? Motown: Now on that, I'm gonna say no, but if they lose two or three in a row, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Troy: Yeah, yeah, they're going back. They're going backwards. Yeah, because they started off. They started off real well But it's Smooth: That's magic. Troy: towards the end in the second half them boys with the stinking it up a lot of teams doing that though They play good in the first half, but in the end at the second half they be looking like garbage Smooth: I said on the last segment Motown: You Smooth: about how JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: long Kirk Cousins gonna last. You dig? But I don't know. They JB: Share musique. Smooth: gotta lose them first. If they win, I don't know. Like I said, they got a good coach. They got a good coach. JB: I don't right. I don't want you smooth. I don't see them winning with Kurt throwing the ball fifty two times. Smooth: No. JB: he threw thirty one thirty one he was thirty one for fifty two for three sixty five. Yeah, those y'all are good, but fifty two times you got to depend on Kirk you got to depend on Kirk Cousin to the carryo team. Yeah, I I just don't see it. Motown: What Troy: the thing is their running Motown: are you behind? Troy: game ain't know I'm saying that what is named Genki that they're running back I don't know bruh Motown: Hmm. Smooth: Yes. Luna? Troy: I ain't sold on him Motown: I'm not, I'm JB: James. Troy: I'm sold no Motown: not, I'm not, that's a hard one because the, the, the, that was a division game for one. That's really, that dismiss that division games are always tough. And then the, the cheese have nice run, run game. They can stop the run. They know how to stop the run. So those JB: Mm-hmm. Motown: two being in fact, I'm not even going to, I had to see another game like that to say, to say Kirk Cousin, cause I mean, they were behind. So I can't really say that that was a bad game that Kirk Cousins should have been thrown 52 times. Give me another game like that, they'll not be on that boat. JB: Well, yeah actually they wasn't just the first quarter first half was s ten to t to thirteen. Nobody scored in the third quarter, and the fourth quarter was Kansas City scored twenty and KC's and Vegas scored fourteen. So they really wasn't behind Heim. so Troy: Right, it started Motown: Did Troy: in that second half. Motown: they have their lead in the second half? JB: Yeah, they was up Troy: No! JB: yeah, they was. They was up thirteen of thirteen to ten. At the third third quarter. Troy: Yeah, but I'm talking about after that third quarter after the third quarter. It's like our the the Raiders did this This is like the plate calling and everything when it was done Motown: And that's the reason why they started playing. I mean, passing. Smooth: Maybe it Troy: Yeah, it was like a dud after that Smooth: was meant for them to do that. JB: Yeah. Troy: But it's the same thing with Houston. Houston was playing ball, but then after second half, the boys couldn't do shit. Smooth: Everybody had, you saw him do that. JB: Yeah, I'm I'm with ya. I I gotta see I before I can say that's the old Raiders, I wanna see how they Motown: Amen. JB: come back from this game. I wanna see two more games. Like I say, we we we keep saying we don't Motown: Yeah. Yeah. JB: we don't NFL not re I know the records are real, but they're not really real until that game week five. So we got what, two more weeks before that fifth game, but shit, we should know by next week actually. 'cause man, 'cause Motown: Yeah. JB: a lot 'cause you I'm I'm tired of hearing the complaints because all all I keep seeing the coaches talk about is no preseason, which I agree with that. Man, we I don't think we're gonna ever get another in but it starters are playing goddamn preseason again. How how these Troy: But the thing is, they allow that to happen though. Those coaches, they agree to that. Yeah, they agree to that shit. So you JB: Yeah, yeah, l a lot of stuff. It's like the Pro Bowl. Troy: gotta blame yourself on that. So, and why are you not playing them anyway? At least you can let them play the first game, play the first game, first half, and then take them out. But y'all ain't letting them play at all? Come on, And then y'all don't practice, and then they JB: yeah, I'm okay with I'm okay with them missing the f the Motown: Scary, scared. Smooth: Yeah. Troy: don't practice the same way they practiced back in the days. You know, so that's why a lot of these niggas getting in. JB: Right. I say I'm okay with them missing the first game, but like the old days, you like Troy said also you play the second game. The third game. We only play three preseason games now, right? They cut it down from four. Shoot, let play Troy: Yeah. Smooth: Yeah. JB: left let play if if if you don't want them to get hurt in that third game, let them play a a half on the second game. So I think that chemistry is a motherfucker, man. Smooth: Gotta play along. Motown: Absolutely. JB: Shit, you can get hurt. You see all the injuries that's happened, look from from hamstring injuries. Motown: Yeah, and that's because the preseason is not being played. You got some things that they coming into regular season, haven't played no preseason games. So they first two three games is really preseason games. JB: P season, yes, exactly. Exactly. So I'm I'm with y'all on that one. Smooth: I'll see you guys time. JB: I think I asked y'all to what players what players don't get a enough respect? And we're gonna talk about it can be Eric Eric error. when was wearing no face masks to to now. Smooth: Yeah. Motown: You JB: We're gonna we're gonna start off with with running backs. Gimme gimme your top three running backs that that don't Motown: Thanks. JB: that don't get any love. You can go with you E. If you All right. Go ahead, Troy. Motown: No, don't stop me man, somebody else get home as a time. JB: Go ahead, Charlie. You can give me three Smooth: You're right. JB: Let's give me three of Yeah, the top three running backs that don't that don't get it up and give me one that that's on that that my honor honorable mention. honorable mention. Troy: should Yeah, doos. For me, Deuce JB: Yeah. Troy: McAllister, I... I don't even must know. Smooth: One of them, see, Ricky Waters, Roger Crick, they don't get no love, they don't get enough love. JB: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I got crack on minds. Smooth: to do, Radji Craig and Rick and water. Motown: I'm gonna stick with San Francisco at one, I'm Frank Gore. JB: Got him on my f my list, in my top five. Motown: yeah, Y'all be wanting me to, y'all don't be wanting me to go back. Y'all be talking with a no helmet and a face mask. You know. JB: Man, I'm I'm good. I'm I'm good, man. Smooth: right. JB: You go ahead. but E, before you do, you gotta let us know was it black and white era? Was it like you know, let us know what T V was working back then. So that's that's what we got. All right. Motown: I'm gonna say Earl Campbell. Earl Campbell, I know y'all heard Earl Campbell. Troy, you heard Earl Campbell, right? You Troy: Man, Campbell was a dog. Smooth: Girl, Motown: might not have seen him play, but you heard of him. And I'm gonna say Herschel Troy: But man, Campbell was a dog, bro. Smooth: You all gonna laugh? Motown: Walton. Smooth: You all gonna laugh, yeah? JB: So he's got you said Franco. Motown: But that went to an honorable mission in Bo Jackson. Smooth: I'm gonna love it. JB: You th Troy: But Boo got hurt, JB: I Troy: that's why. JB: I was about to say so you think I was about to say 'cause bo bo injuries, I think Bo probab been one of the greatest he wouldn't have got that injury. Motown: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Troy: I was gonna say, I was gonna say Priest Holmes too. I was about to say Priest, Priest Holmes. had JB: Yeah. Troy: the same injury like Bo. So man, cause before the injury, Bo Smooth: So, madam, JB: let me throw this in there, y'all. So what if how long y'all think we should be calling somebody like I say haul I'm I don't say Hall of Fame, but like be be honored, be be known for those those greats, like do we they had to be a six years? 'Cause a lot of a lot of NFL players be a dog in the first couple of years, but when that injury hit like Bo, like Tracy Priest Holmes, well Odell's still playing, so I can't say it was Troy: Sterling Shaw. JB: him. Still Sterling Sharp, another one. how long y'all think a player should be been playing the lead? Eight to ten years before you can be be considered one of the great Troy: Yeah, least eight. JB: What's the average NFL well? Motown: I wouldn't go that far because you can have a running back come in and do good in the first five years. It can equate to somebody playing eight years. So I wouldn't put the eight years on it, but you know, by the running backs being, the roads being diminished a lot, they're not really loving on the running backs, which is starting to come back. It's starting to start to pain. So it's starting to come back. JB: I was about to say it's it's coming back. Motown: Yeah. I wouldn't say eight years. I would say five or six years. Five or six years. JB: She got some. Smooth: on that eight JB: She got some. Smooth: to ten level, me. I mean, you got to put the work in just like everybody else can put the work in to do it. You dig it up, Sam? Some people, I mean, that's what's wrong with it now. I JB: All right. Smooth: want to soften up the game, man. Righten it up. No, I'm giving up, but you got five JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: years, give me five more of that. Just like all the other greats did. You hear me? You want to talk to me? Motown: But the reason why I say five or six years is because the stats, some players can rush Troy: Yeah. Motown: for 1100 for 10 years, then you got one in rush for 15 for four or five years. You can't diminish that, I mean, you can't dismiss that. JB: But you gotta look at you back in like when you first started watching, y'all only played seven games a season. So I don't know if that's why you saying five five. Which which one you haven't? Smooth: Play like 12 games. 10, 12, 15. Yeah, man. You got to make it feel, Motown: I'm going off at 16. I'm going off at 16 games. See, I ain't even going off to 15. Smooth: Now we have a rare JB: I don't know bro, I gotta just Smooth: occasion where somebody do something in five years, okay, but that ain't all. Motown: mean, look at Terrell Davis. Look at Terrell Davis. I mean, yes, he played. JB: Yeah, I think six was it six? Six Smooth: Bye, sick. JB: or seven? That's why I I'm I'm asking because he's considered actually I'm gonna give you my list. He's number one on my list. Terrell Davis, I got Eddie George, Eric Dickerson, Motown: Hmm. JB: Derman Thomas, and Frank Gore. That's my top five. And honorable mention, I got a thousand of those. I can go for Jerome, Fred Taylor's another one that does his thing, did his thing. I Smooth: That's That's good. Motown: What about Curtis Martin? JB: I I had him on that too, E. Troy: Man, but Curtis Barney was that, he was that dude too. Curtis JB: Yeah, him. Troy: and Fred. JB: Yeah. Even Clinton Portis. I know you know about him. Motown: I was gonna say Clint Porter, but thought I gonna say Fred Taylor. I did. I thought JB: Florida. Motown: you was gonna say Fred Taylor. Smooth: That was a good one though. It had come across my mind when I was thinking about it. But it's a lot of JB: I guess I got a whole list of but I think Eddie George don't give no love. Only time you really hear him Smooth: good. JB: talk Eddie George is that hit with him and Ray Lewis. Smooth: Yeah. Troy: Yeah, when he gave up that ball, here you go. Motown: You're right. You're right about 80 years. He was a monster, bro. He was. Smooth: Mm-hmm. JB: Mm-hmm. So let's go to meow on top three receivers that doesn't get love. Yes, we can so Smooth: Don't get up. JB: see. Motown: I can say, say Andre Reed is one of them. I don't think Andre Reed get, he don't get it. Smooth: your body buffalo Motown: Andre Reed don't get it, yeah. Andre Reed don't get it. Smooth: Thank They want to move. Motown: Chris Carter, Chris Carter don't get it like he should. And uh-oh. Man, they had to receive a play for the Saints, bruh. He wasn't like a super superstar, but he was JB: Was it pairman? Smooth: Air Mod? Motown: coasting. Marcus coasting, bruh. Bruh, Marcus coasting, JB: I I I I Ben said he's the most underrated receiver. I said that on one of my first shows. Motown: bruh. Bruh. Troy: Yeah, yeah, he was a dog. He was a dog to say he was a seven round pick. JB: But this this defeat right, Motown: That what I'm saying, yes. Yeah. JB: this defeat this the f this the this what I got back from when I was saying when I brought up coaching they said because of the time the receivers that he was going up against, that's why he never made the Pro Bowl for this and that. He went against some a lot of dogs in in Motown: Yeah, right. He did. Yeah, Yeah, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Chris Troy: Yeah, here. Yeah, yeah. Motown: Carter, he had a orange. Troy: White in Atlanta. JB: Shit, Troy: Yeah. JB: yeah, T O, Motown: Rice, JB: Brandy Moss, Antoine Bowick, Motown: mean Harrison. JB: Harrison, Holt. So it's a lot of them that they they Troy: Okay. JB: they came in. It was like, that's the reason why. It took me a minute, I was like, still, he's my most underrated receiver. So Troy: Yeah. JB: what you got, Troy? Either you give me your three or you make you need one more. Alright. Motown: Thank Troy: I would say... Chad Johnson, I would JB: I knew that was coming. Troy: say Marcus Colston. Down the drive. Motown: Ooh, ooh. That's a good JB: That's n that's a nice list. Motown: one. That's a good one, yeah. JB: Just move. Smooth: Probably going to stay on it. Stay on it up Motown: Bye, everyone. JB: Ha ha ha. Smooth: on that green bay. Troy: He the playmaker, how he don't get no love? His name is the playmaker. Smooth: I'm gonna say Motown: laughs Troy: He's called the playmaker for a reason. Smooth: There you JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: I'm say Andre Bolden. And that I don't want to say. Troy: But listen, you got two minutes left. You need to score. Smooth: Yeah. Troy: Ain't no way you're gonna be able to hold a clock that long right there. Come on, man, you pulled a score, man. Smooth: it's got a stroke. Troy: He's trash for that one. Motown: At least wrapping down the damn goal line in the rush hour clock, I was gonna get under Troy: Listen, Motown: the two minutes. Smooth: Ha JB: Right. Exactly. Troy: ain't no way he could have ran up and down because the man was right there. Smooth: I would've scored. Troy: He was trash. JB: And Motown: He could have did something for another JB: and it's like Motown: two seconds. JB: right, and Smooth: How was school? JB: it's not like the I think it was the Jets they were playing, not like the Jets was was playing lights out and they was struggling. Only had ten perts in the fourth quarter, so it's not like they was coming down scoring, scoring and they tried to say it was a high IQ move. No, it wasn't no high IQ. Troy: Man, you was pulled a scope. No, that wasn't. That was trash. Smooth: And that's that. Motown: It was an accurate move, but I think it was too early. Troy: Not in at two minutes. He ain't even scored a two minute warning yet. Motown: Yeah, I think it was too early. Smooth: He thought it going to be under the two minutes. He thought it was going be under the two minutes. Troy: Yeah, he tripping. Motown: But it still didn't matter, it's still gonna be the same thing. Still gonna be the same thing. Clock stopped. JB: All right. All right, Troy. Smooth: Yes, JB: I think I got one more for you, Troy. and I know we normally talk football, but since this your since this is not that dude Troy: man, this man here bruh. There you go. He did like his part. JB: Hey look the teams Smooth: Yeah. JB: that the teams that are interested in them, bro. So Smooth: VOM! Motown: You know that ain't that dude. Which one Troy: Yay! Motown: you look good in, Chee? Which one you look good in? Smooth: What's up? Troy: I can't even see. See that's... JB: Wha way where you see him going, Troy, before the Smooth: We got the words. JB: the trade deadline? Troy: At home in New York by his daddy? He gonna be on the alaconda with his daddy. At New Bombard, that's what he gonna be on. JB: So Smooth: That is silly. That is silly, huh? Troy: His dad is staying in New York, nigga. He gonna be right there in New York. He gonna be catching a flight with his daddy. JB: So Yeah, he's standing with y'all cause he catch a he catch a helicopter. He I don't know I don't know if y'all saw this, but he catch a helicopter. He don't want to live in Philly. So he catch a helicopter. Motown: Yeah, yeah, I heard that. JB: That that that's crazy work. he tried trying to get his Kobe on. So fellas, with Troy: Listen man. JB: with with with the all the with all the that's not that dude, do y'all agree with y'all with what what everything he said? Motown: I'm gonna say yeah right now. He's saying Metc can't do nothing, but I'm gonna stick with him because I don't have no evidence to say he is because he don't have a quarterback. He don't have a quarterback. JB: So you think Aaron over that over the hill right now? Troy: Yeah, most definitely. feel like that way too. Yeah, he he's done. I'm about Smooth: the moon. Troy: to say, yeah, the offensive line terrible too, bro. So, you Smooth: I ain't shit it. Motown: That's why he not that good, see? Troy: just gotta you JB: I still feel like this was a good this was a good play, man. Like watch that sauce going on. Troy: gotta figure it out. boy, that's hey, that's the one there. Motown: Look at that boy, look at that boy, both of them. Two of them, he faked out. Ooh, ooh, JB: What's why source? But Motown: ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, Smooth: He gonna the last. He gonna do the- Troy: Hey, that was terrible. JB: So y'all, Motown: You JB: so, so this episode this is Troy topic we're gonna be doing every week. And we call it not that dude. Smooth: Yeah, that do. Yeah, that do. Motown: I love it. I love it. Troy: Yes. JB: Not that dude. So man, yeah, y'all if y'all like that episode, man, leave leave some comments and again we're gonna have something for him every week and of course he gonna have his own like he had d D cap Metcap on. Troy: Browning, look, look, and Chad GPT had that boy looking buff. Come on, bruh. He gonna be right there in New JB: So Troy: York catching a flight with his dad and watching him play. That's where he gonna be at. JB: I I got one more for you, Troy. I forgot about this one. He said Troy: He be right with his daddy with his bad feet ass. JB: LeBron said he would've went to New York if they wouldn't have won a championship. What's your thoughts on that one, Troy? Troy: Man, he lying. They didn't warn him. Why would they warn him? Smooth: in the back. JB: He said they would've he would have been the missing piece they would have needed to beat the to beat the Spurs. Troy: Man, come on, it's all nobody. they didn't need him. They don't need him. They don't need him. Motown: You know what they said today? They said that Philadelphia was trying to appease him. They want to get his approval. The players Troy: Listen. Motown: on the Philadelphia teams, meaning Envy, not so much Brown, but Brown and Maxson. They were trying to get his approval on the team. So they're saying Brown was the last one to leave the facilities. even though LeBron JB: Mm-hmm. Motown: tried to be the first and Embiid has been an improvement. especially they thinking with Brown and LeBron, some kind of way Embiid gonna be in the middle, he's gonna get a training regiment to make him a healthier between those two guys with how they train and rehabilitating everything. Troy: Man, listen bruh, how you gonna try to do that now after all this time in the league? You shoulda binged it all out, bruh, come on man. It's too late in the game for that. It's too late in the game for that, bruh. Motown: Yeah, but I mean, some people, some, you think every team, every team has somebody on their team that has a training resume and is just different from everybody else. And then they have the ability Smooth: And man, probably trying to get some new. Troy: But again? Motown: to stay healthy. So he don't have, who is on, he don't have, he don't have nobody on Philadelphia I guess he can look up to, to rehabilitate and stay healthy and train like LeBron. Troy: But again, but again, LeBron JB: Mm-hmm. Troy: ain't all that man, cause he got all these bad feet. You know what I'm saying? So he might not be playing. Motown: T-Brother, Ron has paid you over 20 Smooth: I'm Noah. Motown: years and you're still playing at a high level, bro. Stop saying that, bro. He is playing at high level. How many Troy: No, he ain't playing at no high level, Smooth: Thank you very much. Motown: points are you gonna average this year? Let's do this. How many points are you gonna average this year? How many points? Troy: Now, I don't know, but again, he ain't playing at a high level. Smooth: Man, you still get tripple-double, man. You still get tripple-double, dude. Motown: You heard of what? I'm not- I don't know. JB: I don't know. Which what you g what you giving me? That's a good question. We gon' we what you giving me? How many pros are you gonna average? You gonna be in a twenty tw Troy: Man, stop that, Man, stop. Man, stop. Motown: Now, it's according to plan time, I guarantee it's gonna be way over 12. It's according to how they use them. I don't know how much time he gonna be on the court, but it's gonna be Smooth: 212, 212, 212. Motown: over 12, definitely over 12. JB: What'd give Would you give smooth? Twenty four? I I Troy: That man said 24. Man, stop that, man. Smooth: My fault. JB: I give between Yeah. Motown: I don't know how they're gonna use them yet. That's what I'm saying. I don't know how they're gonna use them. JB: Cause 'cause I I I'll give between seventeen or twenty. Depend like you said, depends on when they they need for if Smooth: Cuz, you gotta realize, that something ain't Troy: But listen. Smooth: gonna be in some of them games. JB: Yeah, that's what I was about to say. It depends on on what they need it for. Motown: Great. Troy: You hear? JB: Now, if just him, if it's just him and Brown and the and Maxie, I can see him probably s at that at that yeah. That's that's at least twenty. I'ma say twenty. Yeah, Smooth: Yeah, you're getting 20. You're getting 20 plus. 20 plus. Yeah. 20 plus. Motown: yeah, that's 24. That's 24. That's 24. JB: twenty plus. I can see it just those three. But one thing I like about that he did Troy: Listen, I was watching something. Motown: Okay. JB: he did he MB came to the to the to the game last night late at warm ups and LeBron got on his ass. I don't know if y'all saw that. And that go to show you that he never had nobody on a higher level than him because B always been a man, so now you Smooth: The grave. JB: like Brian is Brian is is proven. Motown: That goes along with the training and everything. All that goes together. You never had nobody like that. JB: So I was impressed. I was impressed with Troy Goat. Smooth: I can stop being lazy. Troy: look, but look, I saw something that date where they were saying, Philly with the schedule, they ain't playing nobody in the West until like the 18 game. Them boys ain't playing back. They not playing no back to backs. Not like talking about it. They not playing three games in a row, like talking about it. So they really changed these people's schedules so they can try to win. Motown: You didn't hear the commissioner say, I can't wait till he signed so we can make the schedule? JB: Make the schedule. Motown: He didn't say the Philadelphia schedule, he said the NBA schedule. When LeBron signed, that's when we're Troy: That's trash. That's trash. That was trash, then. Motown: gonna make the NBA schedule. That's Troy: that was trash. Motown: respect. Troy: And that's trash. That nigga need to be at home Motown: Yes, respect. Troy: with Savannah and that baby and Brian. Motown: I guarantee you, Steph Curry can't Smooth: There you Motown: get that same thing. Smooth: go. Go. Troy: Man, you crazy. Motown: You heard me? Steph Curry can't get it like JB: Hey. Motown: that. JB: Well we're gonna we're gonna save it. Troy: it's not that. JB: We're gonna save it for basketball season. But my last not that Motown: It's coming. JB: man, my honorable mention is this right here. Troy: Hey bro, why you playin' my dog like that, bro? JB: He is not that man Smooth: Ha! JB: that's and that's in three games. He is not that dude. He is not is not that dude. Smooth: Damn, bruh. Now you playin' like that. Troy: Hey man, that's my step bro. Motown: St. Troy, he, St. Troy, hold on, is he that dude? Troy: Yeah. Smooth: no. He Motown: What? Troy: Come on, man. You know, Smooth: ain't that dude. Troy: I mess with them, bro. So don't, you can't, you can't do that to me, bro. Smooth: Good. Motown: So Odell is that dude. Odell that dude. Troy: I mess with them. Yeah. He ain't just, he ain't getting a shot, You know, they gave him shot, but then, you know, they ain't really, you know, do what they're supposed to do. JB: Know why you're not getting that shot? Because Motown: They even JB: he's not that dude. Motown: gave him too many shots. They don't want to give him no more shots. Troy: Hey, he need to be in Philly. Smooth: Yeah, we'll try. Motown: Now, I think the best place for him Troy: He need to go to Philly. Motown: would be San Francisco. I think they're using right there. I think he'd get a lot JB: Yeah. I love Motown: of playing time and they're using right there. I do. JB: Yeah, they both my Troy: Bop bop. JB: teams, but I'm with I mean I I would love to see him in in in in in Fort. Yeah, he he had a he had a good game, but he's he's yeah, he he he played he played with Troy: But look, Mike Evans, Mike Evans still playing, right? Mike Evans heard? Smooth: Yeah, he's hurt. He's playing hurt. Motown: Mm-hmm. JB: some bad ribs. He he balled, I ain't gonna lie, he he did he he ball, but Smooth: Thank you. Motown: Okay JB: he played with some some bad ribs. Motown: Just that damn team, Injuries, just that team. Smooth: Mm-hmm, yeah. JB: Exactly. So my Motown: But Shanahan, some kind of way, he pull it out though. He make him relevant. Troy: But listen, what y'all think about Tennessee? They're quiet about Can't word. What y'all think about it? Motown: I don't think he got the right JB: I I Motown: coach, the right quarterback coach, offensive coordinator. Smooth: Dumbass. Motown: I don't think he have nothing right, nothing right for him right now. And that's when Smooth: It don't matter, he not that to go. JB: Yeah. Motown: you become the number one overall pick, you go into a team like that. So you got to understand Smooth: Let's go. Motown: that. That team that you're going to, they're not gonna be straight. They're not gonna be already straight. JB: I actually Smooth: But he don't make it look no better. He don't make it look no better. JB: I actually I actually had questions Motown: I JB: about him. Motown: never thought that he was the quarterback that can go to a team and instantly show an impact because Smooth: No. Motown: of the way he played in college. I just didn't see it. I didn't see it in him. Now if he was someone JB: Right. Man look Motown: to step behind and with some good coaching and a good team, maybe. But going to a losing team with a new head coach and a new offense coordinator, it ain't looking good for you. JB: I yeah, this check out his numbers. you're right. Yeah, Smooth, you're right. Troy: Yeah. Motown: He's not that dude. JB: His he he seventy five for one nineteen, three Smooth: Yeah. JB: touchdowns, two interceptions. Yeah, he he's not that dude. That's we that's Smooth: Don't make it look no better. that play where you walking backwards and still incomplete the path. Come on, Come on, man. Yeah, what you doing? What you doing? Troy: Yeah, that, yeah. Well, he just was like, like, yeah, he. And my thing is, don't see what Tennessee, I don't see Motown: Y'all like to whistle blow it, huh? Like to whistle blow it. Smooth: Yeah, I see. JB: Yeah. Troy: what Tennessee was thinking why they picked him number one. I don't get why they did that one. Cause he wasn't the number one pick, though. Smooth: I bet they with your head you do it now. Motown: Wait, who was the other quarterback? Who was other quarterback? It Ken Ward and... Troy: should have been one. There was one and two. There should have been one and two. You know what saying? Smooth: them up. Yeah, never done. Motown: Shadoor, Yeah. I think they'd be different with Shadoor. JB: But oui. Motown: I do they'd be different with Shadoor. I do believe that. Smooth: yeah, did JB: Yeah, I agree. Smooth: a Wimbu game. Troy: But they... Motown: Yeah, I believe it would be different, yeah. For the better. JB: Yeah, but we all know why his Shador. Shador didn't get that number one or two pick. Troy Boa who coaching the the Troy: Yeah, yeah, we already know. Yeah, we already know that. JB: Falcons. What you say, Troy, he don't like Smooth: Ha ha! Troy: yeah, he don't like brothers at all. Smooth: That would seem likely. Troy: We talking about the coach, we talking about Kevin Stokowski. JB: The hair coach. Troy: He don't like brothers, but I really do believe that. Black quarterbacks, I don't think Smooth: I've been meant to. Troy: he'd like black quarterbacks. that's the, and the only reason why he got picked, was because of, it kind of like forced that pick on him. Motown: If anything, thought the GM was more set with the pick than the head coach. Troy: That's what I'm saying. I don't think it was the coach really wanted him. You know what saying? Motown: No, I'm saying I think the coach did warn him, but I don't think the GM warned him. Because the GM, when they drafted that boy, that boy was like this. And you know what? He'd be standing up and clapping, Troy: No, you know Barry, Motown: that boy was like this. Troy: but you know Barry was having more of a relationship with Shadood than Kevin Stavansky was. Because Kevin wasn't really, you know what saying, talking to him about nothing. It was more, you know I'm saying, about Dylan Gable. Smooth: Yeah, he wanted to talk to him. JB: Yeah.
