- 1:03listen to me as you're listening to me you're gonna be like
- 1:06wow this dude is cool but we
- 1:08make it happen and we have a good topic
- 1:11today as we have the mandela effect
- 1:14for some people or for many people who have
- 1:18not heard what is the mandela effect if you're
- 1:20new to this concept or whatever it is once again sit down and this episode don't
- 1:28tell you i warn you it's going to be some spoilers as well don't tell you that
- 1:31i warn you that it's going to be mind-boggling woo let's make it happen and
- 1:38yes the mandala effect what is the mandala.
- 1:41Yeah i mean it's that question what is the mandala effect and his name after
- 1:45nelson mandala which was a president at one point in South Africa a long time ago.
- 1:50A lot of people know who he is. He is taught in school, you know, hero, whatever it is.
- 1:56Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for many years, many years.
- 2:01And for some reason in South Africa, people, and I believe globally,
- 2:05because he is a global icon in a sense, and rightfully so, for some reason,
- 2:10people remember Nelson Mandela passing away somewhere in the early 80s.
- 2:15And the truth is that it's not. So basically, the Mandela effect is something
- 2:19where we think that, yo, we could have shown and this happened.
- 2:24And this is also called selective memory.
- 2:28Yeah, it's one of those things that before I make this episode,
- 2:31I reach out to my brothers and all my sisters and all people having a conversation.
- 2:36Hey you remember this have you not that has not happened to you where you feel
- 2:41like huh why do i remember that person walking with a limb but they never they
- 2:47were you know why i thought they were missing a leg or something to that effect
- 2:50so basically with the mandala effect is that thing where people remembered.
- 2:55That Nelson Mandela passed away in the 80s. Once again, he never did.
- 2:59And another one, interesting one. For those people who watched Star Wars,
- 3:04who have watched Star Wars.
- 3:06Now, spoilers if you never did or if you intend to watch Star Wars.
- 3:09In one of the Star Wars movies, I believe it was episode 5.
- 3:13Two of the main stars of the main characters there, Darth Vader. Shh.
- 3:18You know that dude. He's fighting against Luke. And, you know,
- 3:22the story is that Darth Vader, it's Luke's father, but Luke doesn't know.
- 3:27So there's a part in the scene where Darth Vader goes and says, no, I'm your father.
- 3:33You know, and for some reason, a lot of people thought that the person and voiced
- 3:38by the legendary James Earl Jones, Luke, I'm your, wait a minute, Luke.
- 3:44I can't even do the voice. He's legendary. Maybe I could do it.
- 3:46Who knows? Another topic.
- 3:48Different episode. but some people remember
- 3:51that he said luke i'm your father
- 3:54but the answer is no he said no i am
- 3:57your father and it's interesting that i excuse me
- 4:01me me me i reached out to a couple of my brothers and.
- 4:04Arms and they both had different views or memory
- 4:07of the scene and that's crazy now we
- 4:10don't know the backstory different but hey it's one
- 4:13of those things once again the mandala freak in the house
- 4:16where we remember something and it's
- 4:19not another one is jiffy or jiff
- 4:22the peanut butter you know what i mean for some reason people
- 4:25do remember jiff the peanut butter
- 4:28for those who like those peanut butter the j-i-f but
- 4:32it's actually yes j-i-f for some
- 4:35reason people remember jiffy now i i think
- 4:37that jiffy for some reason people do uh
- 4:40there is a couple of things where people
- 4:43might say oh it's skippy jiffy you know but it's
- 4:46two different companies and i believe i think
- 4:49there was a popcorn called jiffy i i you know correct me
- 4:52very well but yes for some reason i always remember jiff
- 4:55as in jiff you know what i mean there was a difference between that and
- 4:59skippy so you know for whoever does remember
- 5:02jiffy hey by all means hey you know
- 5:05once again the mandela effect in the house looney tunes once again people for
- 5:11some reason remember looney tunes as l-o-o-n-e-y t-o-o-n-s in reality it's t-u-n-e-s
- 5:20I always remember as t-u-n-e-s but for some reason.
- 5:24Think about this so tunes is what cartoons,
- 5:28tunes as in you know tunes with the o's and then tunes,
- 5:32t-u-n-e-s as a tune, now keep in mind these cartoons with Bucks Bunny in a sense
- 5:39there was a lot of music to it because, you know, we're talking about these cartoons.
- 5:44Animated cartoons from a long time ago.
- 5:47You know what I mean? So you add a little bit more music to it. So you would think.
- 5:51Okay, you know, it's a cartoon, but I think that a lot of times,
- 5:54you know, people forget it's actually T-U-N-E-S, as in tunes.
- 5:59Like, I'm, you know, tuning on a tune, you know what I mean?
- 6:02But yes, I do remember it as in tunes, T-U-N-E-S and not T-O-O-N-S. So that's interesting.
- 6:11There's one with the Beristine Bears, the spelling of the Beristine Bears or
- 6:15Beristine Bears or something like that.
- 6:17People do remember i said berry steam bears if i'm
- 6:19not mistaken uh b-e-r-e-n-s-t-e-i-n but
- 6:24for some reason that's incorrect that's not the
- 6:27correct spelling it's uh b-e-r-b-e-r-e-n-s-t-a-n whatever
- 6:32the case might be now what's interesting is this is that uh you know and i you
- 6:37know do my research because ever since i heard about the mandela effect a long
- 6:41time ago because i am one Of those with those selected memories Hey I remember
- 6:47this For some reason you know there's a lot of YouTubers Out there or content creator,
- 6:52And there was one individual Who for some reason He remembers He remembers.
- 6:58That he rented you know back then the vhs they
- 7:01went to a blockbuster for those kids out there that don't know
- 7:04what is a blockbuster and a vhs and a
- 7:07vcr well now you know it's something
- 7:10where we put this thing the vhs tip and we
- 7:13watch you know tapes things were not like video
- 7:16on demand like you like now you know different story but
- 7:19for some reason this individual do remember and he
- 7:22does have a copy of this cartoon and it
- 7:26was mislabeled so it could be one of those things where they could have been
- 7:30something where they mislabeled it they didn't you know the blockbuster didn't
- 7:34want to send him back to the distributor whatever it is the company the studio
- 7:37that makes the cartoon so they basically said okay we'll leave it at that you
- 7:41know what i mean curious Curious George,
- 7:46Okay So Curious George again Take me memories For some reason some people remember
- 7:53him with a tail Well Guess what There was none Unbelievable.
- 8:01Again it's selective memory I just can't remember Whether he had a tail or not
- 8:07I don't know I remember the story The dude with the yellow His train or father I don't know,
- 8:13But I'm trying to think now Maybe I thought he had a tail Because,
- 8:16you know, he's a monkey You know, that's just me,
- 8:19Monopoly man, let's go This one is interesting Because people remember Mr.
- 8:24Monopoly Having a monocle You know, that little classist That little one-eyed glass Whatever it is,
- 8:30And I'm in between You know, I'm in between I spoke to my brothers in arms out
- 8:36there And they remember it Monaco, there's some people that do remember But,
- 8:40but, but The company that makes The game,
- 8:45the board game Whatever the case might be, Milton Bradley I don't know,
- 8:48Hasbro They claim that he never had a Monaco That little glass,
- 8:52and I'm like, oh Interesting,
- 8:55Now supposedly he might have come out Again, and this is not debunking That,
- 9:01My understanding that he might have And again, been talking about way after
- 9:05the 80s Because remember, Monopoly's an old game And I remember playing Monopoly since.
- 9:11Monopolio in Spanish And you know what I mean It's a plain end in Puerto Rico Monopolio Monopoly,
- 9:17So I don't remember Some people might mistake him With the peanut guy That might
- 9:21have Panicol You know peanuts That company You know what I mean So that's one
- 9:25of those things Where it's like Hey,
- 9:28Febreze Once again You know The spray that That spray's a killer That's all
- 9:34I can say But you know It's one of those things That people thought It was Febreze
- 9:38with like two E's I believe but it's actually one,
- 9:43you'd be like what am I looking yeah I think I got a bottom Febreze somewhere,
- 9:47and I'm like wow I thought it was two E's I just you know,
- 9:51I thought it was too easy. I don't know. Whatever. You know,
- 9:54Oscar Mayer, another, the hot, you know, the company that makes that company.
- 9:58I mean, yeah, they make a lot of, I'm not going to say processed food, hot dogs, ham.
- 10:04So-called ham, I don't know what the hell they sell. They sell a lot of,
- 10:08you know, you go to the deli, you go out there.
- 10:09You know what? When you go to the supermarket and you want to get some ham or
- 10:13anything like that, go to the deli.
- 10:15You know, I know I get it. I get it. Sometimes, you know, I get it.
- 10:17I get it. Oscar Mayer is one of those things that, you know,
- 10:22people thought that, hey, it's, I believe it's an A in Oscar Mayer.
- 10:27Or no, no, there's an A, but people in Mayer. So something to that effect.
- 10:32But look at it. The A or the E or whatever, it's whatever it is now.
- 10:37I'm over here like, okay, I'm trying to remember here because I'm trying to
- 10:41do my best to kind of, how can I say it to you?
- 10:44As i'm doing this episode i'm also looking at some
- 10:47of the examples here of the mandela effect but
- 10:50i'm also trying to like visualize going to
- 10:54these supermarkets or whatever it is trying to visualize if i'm
- 10:57one to say ah i remember this but why you know
- 11:00what i mean and oscar meyer would be one of
- 11:03those interesting things the fruit loops
- 11:06for some reason wow fruit
- 11:09loops so for some reason people yeah fruit
- 11:13loops is interesting because for some reason we think fruit
- 11:16loops and we think like fruit like f-r-u-i-t and
- 11:20then you know that was ingrained but in reality fruit loops
- 11:23it's actually f-r-o-o-t and then my
- 11:26understanding is that there was some type of battle or whatever
- 11:29it is legal battle something to that effect where you
- 11:32kind of like told kelly say listen you guys don't actually have
- 11:35fruits in that fruit loop so you know
- 11:38you might want to like kind of change the name or the spelling and
- 11:41lo and behold the people in Kellogg's hey okay we could
- 11:44still spell fruit but in another sense of fruit loops for some reasons a lot
- 11:50of people always think that it's fruit it's an f-r-u-i-t loops but it's not
- 11:56it's f-r-o-o-t oh my goodness I'm telling you I'm telling me going crazy like well well well.
- 12:05Pikachu's tail, what? The hyphen in Kit Kat, you know what I mean?
- 12:11I personally thought that there was a hyphen in Kit Kat, but there was none.
- 12:15You know, look, I'm going to say this, because I was listening to me like, what?
- 12:21Sometimes, I kid you not, and keep in mind, these are conglomerate,
- 12:25for the most part, these products. Big corporations, the media.
- 12:29Sometimes they're playing without emotions, you know what I mean?
- 12:32They're playing without memories.
- 12:35And I'm like, well, KitKat never had a hyphen? Fruit of the loom,
- 12:39that's another interesting one.
- 12:41Fruit of the loom, you know, for those people out there, especially getting
- 12:44them on these, you know what I mean?
- 12:47They thought that there was a cornucopia. Now, fruit of the looms,
- 12:51it was like a basket with a cornucopia.
- 12:53Well, they said a cornucopia, which is, you know, looks like a little basket, you know, type of deal.
- 12:57And for some reason, people remember
- 12:59that. But in reality, there was none whatsoever. It was just fruit.
- 13:04Now, I think I, in my opinion, in my personal thing, I'm from the hood.
- 13:12You know what I mean? I used to be. Well, I take it back.
- 13:15Growing up in the Bronx in the hood, you know, is one of those things where
- 13:18I think that if you have gone to, you know, Alexander's,
- 13:23Conway's, one of these or another of these kind of mom and pop discount stores
- 13:28in the hood to save a couple of dollars,
- 13:30you might have encountered somewhat of
- 13:33a counterfeit you know what i mean food on
- 13:35the loon with a corner corp it could be i'm just saying now if
- 13:39a lot of people remember i'll get it and not everybody's from the bronze maybe
- 13:42there's a different part but i'm just thinking here that's just
- 13:45my thing cheese it cheese it you know
- 13:48that's another thing going back to star wars uh the
- 13:51famous character 3 cpo the robot
- 13:55and you can you know well not the little r3 r2d2
- 13:58you know cpo three cpo whatever the case might
- 14:01be for some reason and i do remember this for some reason i thought that he
- 14:08was all gold but in reality he's not he has a silver leg and i think in one
- 14:13of the movies they kind of uh explain why he got that silver leg on his right foot for some reason,
- 14:19some reason what happened is that you know when you want to dress up as this individual.
- 14:24Not to make it you know make it to the eyes like okay that's
- 14:27three cpu and now the counterfeit they made it all go but in
- 14:30the movie uh my understanding is that his right foot is silver
- 14:33i'm like eh what uh you
- 14:37know again they playing they playing with me you know
- 14:40the flintstones the flintstones is
- 14:43interesting because you know some people for some reason the flintstone
- 14:47for that you know cartoon people don't recall having it two t's but it actually
- 14:52has two t's don't remember it's just the way that one kind of uh pronounce it
- 14:58as the flint stone like flint but it's actually flint stones so it's f-l-i-n-t.
- 15:05S-T-O-A-N-E. You know, people forget about that first T, the Flintstones,
- 15:11but it's actually the Flintstones. Something to that effect.
- 15:14Oh, my goodness. Wow. I'm telling you, you're probably going to sit down.
- 15:19If you're having a beer, if you're having a adult juice, if you're having whatever
- 15:22it is that you're having, if you're smoking or you're doing something wild,
- 15:26you're probably sitting down and you'll be like, what is going on?
- 15:29Another one in the movie, another famous Forrest Gump, Life is Like a Box of
- 15:34Chocolate. People always remember it.
- 15:35I always remember that life is like a box of chocolate. The reality.
- 15:40Hate to burst the bubble. Life was like a box of chocolate. Life was like a
- 15:45box of chocolates. Life was like a box of chocolate.
- 15:48Not life is like a box of chocolates. So another one.
- 15:52I'm sorry. I apologize if I, you know, kind of whatever.
- 15:57Oh, this one is cool.
- 15:59So Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Oh, movie.
- 16:03And even to this day people thought
- 16:06that mirror mirror on the wall who's the
- 16:09wicked whatever it is it's actually magic mirror
- 16:12on the wall magic mirror on the wall again mirror mirror on the wall is something
- 16:19that might have either commercial or you know it's one of those things that
- 16:24you'd be like what i thought it was mirror mirror on the wall no it's actually magic mirror on the wall.
- 16:30And one of my favorite songs that I, you know, if you tune in and Queen and
- 16:35Freddie Mercury and the band called Queen, we are the champions, my friend.
- 16:42And then at the end, people think we are the champions.
- 16:46And then for some reason, people remember of the world. So that word never existed.
- 16:53The word, we are the champion of the world, never existed.
- 16:59Existed ladies and gentlemen that's it
- 17:02that's crazy that's some of
- 17:04those you know what that's some of the examples of the
- 17:07mandela effect i'm probably thinking about one you
- 17:11know two whatever but what we could
- 17:14go on and on and on and on but again these are
- 17:16the things in the mandela effect where we remember something
- 17:20but in reality it's not so it's
- 17:24mind-boggling for those out there that do remember something as
- 17:27a child whatever it is and you adamant to think that that's what
- 17:30they said or or that's what it appear or
- 17:33whatever the case might be if you're adamant to
- 17:36think that yes it was like this but then
- 17:39to find out as you're growing up that it was never was feel
- 17:43free to you know reach out to your boy deconstructing topic
- 17:46and make that comment oh there's so much of
- 17:49examples like we could go on and on and
- 17:51on and on forever but again it's selective memory and
- 17:56there are times that for some reason there's something that gets
- 17:59stuck with us and then it becomes like an
- 18:03echo chamber where everybody's repeating it or vice versa where someone starts
- 18:07something and you become the echo chamber so yeah that's about that but anyways
- 18:12hopefully you enjoyed this episode it's a good one the mandala effect and full
- 18:18effect in this episode because As you already know.
- 18:22Deconstructing Topic Podcast.
- 18:24Ooh, we the hottest podcast going on. And we are taking over the world for life. Let's make it happen.
- 18:32I'm out of here. Much love. I'm out of here. Peace.
