  I had a really good year, probably one of my best years

  ever. However, the year ended in the

  most tragic NASCAR history way ever.

  After the Phoenix race, the lawsuit went on for two weeks

  where Michael Jordan sued NASCAR.

  Right at the end of two weeks, NASCAR settled, so that got out

  of the way. Then we had the tragic plane

  crash with Greg Biffle. Then we had the horrible house

  fire with Danny Hamlin's parents.

  So man what an ending to 2025. I am very excited for tomorrow

  January 1st, 2026. Man it was just like yesterday.

  They said as soon as year 2000 comes the world will go crazy

  because we don't know how to adjust to the year 2.

  OOO, it was like 19761999 and then all of a sudden it was like

  when 2000 comes 2000, computers will shut down, dogs will start

  running backwards, but it's been just fine.

  I cannot believe we're going on 26 years into the year or the

  I do not like going into a restaurant with clean clothes

  on. I go out for dinner that night

  and I go to dinner, I come out, I go home and I smell like

  grease. I smell like that restaurant.

  You know, it's one thing going into a burger joint.

  When I go to Steak and Shake, I know that I'm going to come out

  smelling like grease because you know, they're cooking the

  hamburger right there and the and the grease is flying around

  and I get it. But I went to Applebee's and

  came home, put my pajamas on, went to bed, come up, got up,

  went to put that same shirt on the next day and and went and I

  smell my clothes to make sure they don't smell like ass.

  And I smell my shirt. Oh my God, I said, what the

  Hell's going on with Applebee's? My shirt smelled like grease,

  like food grease. So I would like to suggest that

  these restaurants cover your kitchens up.

  Cover your kitchens up and you're making me smell.

  It's one thing smelling like, but to smell like grease, No go.

  OK, We have a couple of other subjects.

  that's all there is to that. So I will never be a journalist

  ever, because that's not what I do and I have no interest in it.

  All right, now that we got that out of the way, last but not

  least, the Mark Martin show is going to be awesome and it is on

  very excited to have Mark the Kid Martin out of Batesville, AR

  So we ran a short yesterday of Mark Martin saying, hey, make

  the ticket prices cheaper in the NASCAR grandstands, let's pack

  the stands again. And Mark said, sell some more

  hot dogs, sell some beer to make that cheaper ticket price up.

  Had a lot of funny responses. And I was sort of want to talk

  about had a lot of people say, Oh yeah, Mark, that's awesome.

  Rightfully so. Hell, let me in furry, right?

  But there was a lot of responses and I got a lot of phone calls.

  And I got a phone call from a track owner, a NASCAR track
• 6:09
  owner. And it says that people say that

  the price of the ticket is relatively cheap.

  When you sit consider inflation, people aren't complaining about

  the price to get in the racetrack.

  Here's what they're complaining about.

  Now you respond right here. What I'm hearing through a

  NASCAR track owner is that the fans are upset that there's
• 6:41
  nothing going on with the racetrack.

  Years ago, we'd start, you know, Bush trade national practice on

  Friday morning and then the Cup cars would come out and maybe
• 6:53
  the trucks would come out. And then, you know, later that
• 6:57
  day was qualifying on Friday. Then on Saturday morning, you

  know, you'd have Cup, you know, second round qualifying, then
• 7:08
  the then the Xfinity race and and then after the Xfinity race
• 7:14
  was cup qualifying on Saturday, remember called it happy hour.

  So back in the day say, well, I don't know, 15 years ago when

  you went to the racetrack, you had a reason to get there on
• 7:30
  Thursday night. Now my track owner says that's
• 7:35
  why the the camping grounds are not packed anymore because Cup
• 7:42
  practices at 4:30 on Saturday night right now.

  And the times change for everything.

  Nothing's consistent. Nobody knows what the going on.

  on Friday morning because the fans don't need to be there

  because Cup practice don't start till Saturday at 4:30 and then
