- 0:07Speaker 1: All right, Rich, what's today?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Here's one I don't get.
- 0:12Speaker 3: It's national.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Web Mistress Day. What do you think that means? Web
- 0:38Speaker 2: Mistress Day. Spider-Man related?
- 0:40Speaker 3: I'm hoping.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Not like cheating related?
- 0:44Speaker 2: This one's a little better. National Cherry Popsicle Day. And
- 0:48Speaker 2: this is exciting. It's National Dog Day. Let's celebrate doggies.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Stacey's dog, Nigel, is now living with us full time
- 0:59Speaker 2: because the other house does not want him around because
- 1:01Speaker 2: he barks too much.
- 1:02Speaker 5: He's like, I'm Nigel.
- 1:03Speaker 2: What are you doing next to my woman?
- 1:06Speaker 6: I work at a shoe store. And the other day,
- 1:10Speaker 6: someone came into the store and they were buying shoes.
- 1:12Speaker 6: And their child, about 8 to 10, was honking on
- 1:17Speaker 6: the keypad. And then the parent said to the child, Nigel,
- 1:21Speaker 6: I don't think that's helpful to the machine. And all
- 1:24Speaker 6: I could think about was Kyle going, I'm Nigel. It
- 1:28Speaker 6: likes it as I press the button.
- 1:30Speaker 7: I'm Nigel.
- 1:31Speaker 8: I'm here.
- 1:32Speaker 6: Anyway, thanks Kyle and crew for giving me a laugh
- 1:35Speaker 6: at work.
- 1:36Speaker 9: I am so happy that somebody else brought up Nigel
- 1:39Speaker 9: because what lives in my mind rent free is Kyle saying, hi,
- 1:45Speaker 9: I'm Nigel.
- 1:46Speaker 10: I feel like here's some Nigel music. Is this Nigel music?
- 1:49Speaker 5: I'm Nigel.
- 1:55Speaker 7: I'm like, where's the Whoa Larry clip? Because I feel
- 1:57Speaker 7: like on National Dog.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Day, everyone on the show, we all brought in all
- 2:01Speaker 5: of our dogs, which was a very bad decision because
- 2:04Speaker 5: they did not all get along.
- 2:06Speaker 10: It was terrible.
- 2:07Speaker 11: It was crazy because there was a dog named Larry.
- 2:09Speaker 11: And that dog started growling and going nuts and attacking
- 2:11Speaker 11: other dogs. And Kyle's like, whoa, Larry. Whoa, Larry.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I didn't know she had such a vocal range.
- 2:17Speaker 12: Anyway, happy National Dog Day.
- 2:31Speaker 11: And speaking of National Dog Day. Love Pup Family Fest
- 2:34Speaker 11: is official. It's happening November 7th at Vertuccio.
- 2:37Speaker 10: Farms, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Vertuccio Farms. It's absolutely free.
- 2:42Speaker 11: We haven't announced the bands yet, but I'm pretty sure,
- 2:44Speaker 11: I'm hoping the Rich Bear Band is committed. But other
- 2:46Speaker 11: big names will be announcing all those bands and a
- 2:48Speaker 11: bunch of other surprises.
- 2:49Speaker 10: It'll be very cool. So Love Pup Family Fest is
- 2:51Speaker 10: November 7th.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I can promise you we don't have another gig.
- 2:55Speaker 10: Hey, something also that we didn't get to yesterday. John
- 2:59Speaker 10: Jay and Rich present.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Food News.
- 3:03Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 11: And we have never got to it. And he's like,
- 3:05Speaker 11: I want to do Food News all during the show.
- 3:07Speaker 11: Can we do Food News, Food News? And we never
- 3:08Speaker 11: got to Food News yesterday.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Well, listen.
- 3:10Speaker 10: So can you do yesterday's Food News and today's Food News?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Well, yeah. I mean, yesterday, I mean, you already know
- 3:14Speaker 2: pumpkin spices out at Starbucks. Everything, all the things, they're available.
- 3:18Speaker 2: But this is big. New York Post has said that
- 3:23Speaker 2: the flavor of the year is banana.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Well, that makes sense because Starbucks actually has, like, Two
- 3:30Speaker 5: or three new banana things.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Two or three. Well, they need to get in line.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Yeah, Payton and I tried one yesterday for our Try Tuesday.
- 3:35Speaker 5: You can see it at John Jay and Rich on Instagram.
- 3:37Speaker 13: Excellent.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Well, now they need to get in line behind. Who
- 3:40Speaker 2: has jumped on Sonic? Let me tell you what they got.
- 3:43Speaker 2: They've got a banana pudding shake with vanilla wafers inside
- 3:47Speaker 2: the shake. They got a banana pudding cream slush. And
- 3:51Speaker 2: then somebody at Sonic lost. because they've got the banana
- 3:55Speaker 2: dirty Dr. Pepper. It's Dr. Pepper cream in real banana.
- 3:59Speaker 2: That's not a beverage. That is a cry for help.
- 4:02Speaker 10: Sonic has always been on top of the banana cream
- 4:04Speaker 10: pie game. They've been really good.
- 4:05Speaker 2: In other food news, John Jay, Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice
- 4:08Speaker 2: Mini Sheet Cake is back. That is pumpkin cake, cream
- 4:12Speaker 2: cheese frosting, $ 5.
- 4:12Speaker 7: 99.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Now, it's 18 ounces, and Kyle, it comes with a
- 4:17Speaker 2: reusable lid, which is adorable because we're not going to
- 4:20Speaker 2: have leftovers. We don't need the reusable.
- 4:22Speaker 5: I just saw it at Trader Joe's yesterday. I was like, oh,
- 4:25Speaker 5: it's back.
- 4:26Speaker 2: And then one more KFC finally getting it right. They've
- 4:28Speaker 2: got new hot ranch. So it's ranch with garlic herbs
- 4:32Speaker 2: and a little chili pepper. And they're selling it in
- 4:34Speaker 2: a giant cup. That's twice the size of their normal
- 4:37Speaker 2: dipping cup, because nothing is more frustrating than getting three
- 4:41Speaker 2: chicken tenders in a thimble of ranch. Now, it's not
- 4:44Speaker 2: crazy hot. It's about a three or four out of
- 4:47Speaker 2: 10 hot. But it's ranch that basically went to Scottsdale
- 4:50Speaker 2: and got a little work done. And that is your
- 4:52Speaker 2: food news.
- 4:52Speaker 14: Food news.
- 4:54Speaker 10: Listen to this.
- 4:56Speaker 11: Yesterday I was telling you about that Kim Kardashian TV show,
- 4:59Speaker 11: the reality show called.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Team Mom's Baseball.
- 5:02Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 5:03Speaker 11: And my friend Will, it's his baseball team. And it's
- 5:06Speaker 11: the parents of the kids on his baseball team that
- 5:09Speaker 11: are featured on the show. And I had him on
- 5:11Speaker 11: the highly successful John J. Van Ness podcast. And I
- 5:14Speaker 11: took a clip where he gives a lot of inside
- 5:16Speaker 11: scoop on it. And the clip's starting to get a
- 5:18Speaker 11: lot of legs. People are like, it's being shared everywhere.
- 5:21Speaker 11: And I think it's going to probably hit the TMZs
- 5:22Speaker 11: of the world and what stuff, right?
- 5:24Speaker 10: And Paramount reached out to him and asked him to
- 5:28Speaker 10: ask me to take the clip down. I didn't take
- 5:30Speaker 10: it down yet.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Which is crazy.
- 5:32Speaker 11: So he just texted me a little bit ago. And
- 5:35Speaker 11: he's like, well, they're doing a call with me. They
- 5:39Speaker 11: want me to start doing PR training. He goes, they're
- 5:42Speaker 11: not going to let me talk about the show. They're
- 5:44Speaker 11: making me go to school to learn how to do PR.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Are you kidding?
- 5:47Speaker 10: He goes, looks like I have to do specific. I
- 5:49Speaker 10: can only be super specific about stuff. And they're going
- 5:52Speaker 10: to shut me down.
- 5:53Speaker 3: No way.
- 5:54Speaker 10: They're going to shut him down because I didn't take
- 5:55Speaker 10: the clip down.
- 5:56Speaker 2: He was too honest.
- 5:57Speaker 16: Right.
- 5:57Speaker 2: He just he just gave too much.
- 5:59Speaker 11: He's just he's a really nice guy. So, my gosh,
- 6:02Speaker 11: just naive about stuff when it came. I mean, he's
- 6:04Speaker 11: never been a sweetheart of a human being.
- 6:06Speaker 10: Yes.
- 6:07Speaker 5: So he's now meeting Hollywood.
- 6:09Speaker 14: Right.
- 6:10Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 6:10Speaker 7: And also, too, like it's the first season. And I
- 6:13Speaker 7: can only think that because the title is Team Moms Baseball.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Which means there's probably going to be team moms hockey.
- 6:20Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 5: I think they definitely left it open for that.
- 6:23Speaker 7: All of those things.
- 6:23Speaker 2: All the tough travel ones.
- 6:25Speaker 7: I know that Kim's son, St. Wes, is only like 10.
- 6:28Speaker 7: So maybe they're waiting like three, four years because I
- 6:31Speaker 7: know he plays basketball. And then that one's going to
- 6:33Speaker 7: be all centered around her and her basketball parents. So
- 6:35Speaker 7: he's got to get it down for the next couple
- 6:37Speaker 7: of years since this is going to be a series.
- 6:38Speaker 10: Well, she made a post. She made a post the
- 6:40Speaker 10: other day with one of her kids in soccer. Talk
- 6:42Speaker 10: about travel soccer.
- 6:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:43Speaker 11: She was like, which I think would be amazing if
- 6:45Speaker 11: you go to a soccer game and your kid's playing
- 6:46Speaker 11: against one of her kids.
- 6:47Speaker 10: I know. But anyway, so that's the dish right there.
- 6:50Speaker 10: So thank you.
- 6:51Speaker 11: And go check out the John J. Van Ness podcast.
- 6:55Speaker 11: You get all the scoop.
- 6:56Speaker 17: Microphone check.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Tap in and say what's up.
- 6:58Speaker 18: Check.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Open the free iHeartRadio app.
- 7:00Speaker 7: Tap the top back mic to send John J.
- 7:02Speaker 5: And Rich a message now.
- 7:04Speaker 10: Hey, what's five horoscopes today?
- 7:05Speaker 7: Okay, so it's National Dog Day. So to know if
- 7:08Speaker 7: your sign is bringing like top-tier loyalty or chaotic energy...
- 7:11Speaker 7: I'm going to let you know which dog matches best
- 7:14Speaker 7: with your Zodiac sign. And John Jay, you're going to
- 7:15Speaker 7: have to validate this for us as the dog guy
- 7:18Speaker 7: and having the love pup shelter. You got to tell
- 7:20Speaker 7: me if these descriptions really match these Zodiac signs too.
- 7:23Speaker 10: Because it's National Dog Day?
- 7:24Speaker 7: It's National Dog Day.
- 7:25Speaker 10: Okay. What you got?
- 7:27Speaker 7: Well, it's Virgo season. So if it's your birthday today,
- 7:29Speaker 7: you share a birthday with a ton, a ton of
- 7:31Speaker 7: celebrities like Dylan O'Brien, Kiki Palmer, Macaulay Culkin, Melissa McCarthy,
- 7:36Speaker 7: James Harden, Chris Pine, John Mulaney, and Cassie Ventura. So
- 7:40Speaker 7: literally a ton of Virgo birthdays today.
- 7:42Speaker 10: Okay.
- 7:43Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 7: You want to know your dog, John Jay?
- 7:44Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Well, you're giving Border Collie energy. So you kind of
- 7:48Speaker 7: like run at peak efficiency and you herd everyone else
- 7:50Speaker 7: into line and you solve problems before anyone even notices them.
- 7:54Speaker 11: That's because of Lassie. She's a border collie and she
- 7:56Speaker 11: solves problems.
- 7:58Speaker 10: I was hoping for an English bulldog because I look
- 8:01Speaker 10: like one.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I like to take a little nap.
- 8:03Speaker 10: Yeah. Hi, Valerie. Good morning. What's your sign?
- 8:06Speaker 18: Hi, I'm an Aries.
- 8:09Speaker 7: All right, Aries. So for National Dog Day today, you
- 8:12Speaker 7: are pure German Shepherd energy. I mean, you guys are
- 8:15Speaker 7: so protective and you have the highest energy and you
- 8:17Speaker 7: are ready to spread into action the second someone tests
- 8:20Speaker 7: your pack or your people.
- 8:21Speaker 18: Thanks.
- 8:22Speaker 19: Thank you so much, Peyton.
- 8:23Speaker 7: You're welcome.
- 8:24Speaker 10: Thank you, Valerie.
- 8:26Speaker 20: Have a great day.
- 8:27Speaker 7: Bye.
- 8:27Speaker 10: Hello, Trudy.
- 8:29Speaker 18: Hello.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Libra.
- 8:31Speaker 7: Oh, I love that. Okay, Kyle in the studio is
- 8:33Speaker 7: also a Libra. And for National Dog Day, you guys
- 8:38Speaker 7: are the French Bulldog. Like, so cute.
- 8:40Speaker 19: I know.
- 8:41Speaker 7: So cute. And you use your charm to get people
- 8:43Speaker 7: to do things for you. And you just keep the vibe, like, 100% aesthetic.
- 8:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 14: I love it.
- 8:51Speaker 7: Yay.
- 8:52Speaker 14: I know.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So cute.
- 8:52Speaker 10: All right, Trudy. Have a great day. Thanks for listening.
- 8:56Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 8:57Speaker 14: Bye.
- 8:58Speaker 10: All right. Let's go to Leo's.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 10: Okay.
- 9:00Speaker 7: So I'm a Leo. Us Leos, when it comes to
- 9:02Speaker 7: National Dog Day, we like to be pampered and we
- 9:06Speaker 7: kind of give poodle energy. So expect us Leos to
- 9:09Speaker 7: be strutting down the sidewalk, freshly groomed and looking like
- 9:13Speaker 7: that girl and getting like the most compliments from literally
- 9:15Speaker 7: everyone who walks by.
- 9:16Speaker 10: All right. And how about Pisces for Dog Day?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:21Speaker 7: Rich for National Dog Day. You are the Cavalier King
- 9:24Speaker 7: Charles Spaniel.
- 9:26Speaker 14: Okay.
- 9:26Speaker 5: Those are so cute.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Those are fun.
- 9:29Speaker 7: So cute. And I mean, you guys just are floating
- 9:31Speaker 7: around with good vibes, giving like unconditional love and cuddles.
- 9:34Speaker 7: And you're always looking for that cinematic romance, you know,
- 9:37Speaker 7: giving very Lady and the Tramp spaghetti.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. That's what Tramp was.
- 9:42Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Love that scene too.
- 9:44Speaker 7: So that's you. Go and watch it for National Dog
- 9:46Speaker 7: Day today.
- 9:46Speaker 3: All right.
- 9:47Speaker 11: And for National Dog Day, if you don't have a dog,
- 9:49Speaker 11: please check out the Love Pup Shelter. Lots of dogs
- 9:51Speaker 11: we have. Lots and lots of dogs. Our shelter is full.
- 9:53Speaker 11: We need to find homes for dogs.
- 9:55Speaker 10: So go to lovepupfoundation.org or check us out on Instagram, lovepupfoundation.
- 9:59Speaker 10: And if you didn't get your sign read, they're all
- 10:01Speaker 10: posted on our website, johnjanerich.com. Happy Dog Day. Elizabeth, good morning.
- 10:13Speaker 10: You're on the air.
- 10:14Speaker 18: Hi.
- 10:14Speaker 10: What's up?
- 10:15Speaker 21: Well, I'm kind of in a predicament where I.
- 10:20Speaker 21: I started dating this guy and I told him that
- 10:23Speaker 21: I was really good at pickleball and I don't play
- 10:26Speaker 21: at all. And now I'm going to be playing in
- 10:29Speaker 21: a tournament next weekend with his boss.
- 10:33Speaker 17: Oh, boy.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So, I mean, at least that's probably something you could
- 10:37Speaker 2: get pretty good at if you have some, you know,
- 10:40Speaker 2: hand-eye coordination.
- 10:40Speaker 7: Well, you have a week to get some pickleball in.
- 10:43Speaker 5: I say watch the dink on Apple TV. Watch that
- 10:46Speaker 5: movie because that's all about pickleball and him learning how
- 10:48Speaker 5: to play.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Are you pretty athletic?
- 10:50Speaker 21: No, I'm not really coordinated very well. Like I got,
- 10:56Speaker 21: you know, I played basketball when I was a kid
- 11:00Speaker 21: and the other team would always win because of me.
- 11:02Speaker 21: So I'm really not good at sports. But I met
- 11:07Speaker 21: him at a bar and he was really hot. And
- 11:09Speaker 21: he told me he was, you know, this pickleball champion.
- 11:12Speaker 21: And I just kind of I don't know. I just lied.
- 11:14Speaker 21: And I was like, oh, I love pickleball. I'm really
- 11:16Speaker 21: good at it. Just thinking it would never come up again.
- 11:19Speaker 21: And then one day he told me they have a
- 11:22Speaker 21: game and somebody had to drop out. And he gave
- 11:26Speaker 21: them my name to replace the person. So now I'm
- 11:30Speaker 21: going to be in this tournament.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It feels like something you can get good at it, right?
- 11:38Speaker 2: It's not. It's not like you have to be a professional,
- 11:40Speaker 2: but I will for sure say the pickleball people take
- 11:43Speaker 2: themselves seriously. My primary care physician, my doc, dropped me
- 11:48Speaker 2: as a patient, not just me, but a ton of people,
- 11:51Speaker 2: so he could play more pickleball and see less people.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Were you that high maintenance? No, I just said he's like, no,
- 11:59Speaker 2: we're not seeing as many patients anymore because I need
- 12:01Speaker 2: to get more pickleball in every morning.
- 12:02Speaker 10: Well, how serious is this tournament? Is there a big prize?
- 12:05Speaker 21: It's $ 5, 000.
- 12:06Speaker 17: Oh, man.
- 12:07Speaker 5: It's a pretty big prize.
- 12:08Speaker 10: So when you show up there and you can't play,
- 12:12Speaker 10: he's going to be, are you on his team?
- 12:14Speaker 14: Yes.
- 12:15Speaker 10: Oh, yes.
- 12:16Speaker 7: Wow.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I feel like.
- 12:18Speaker 21: I'm replacing someone on his team.
- 12:19Speaker 22: I'm not sure what to do.
- 12:21Speaker 5: I feel like you have to find a replacement. Like,
- 12:23Speaker 5: do you know anyone that looks like you and you
- 12:25Speaker 5: could just pretend that that was you that day?
- 12:27Speaker 2: Get your own club.
- 12:29Speaker 21: Or do you just have to, like... Or.
- 12:32Speaker 7: Fake an injury, like you accidentally sprained your ankle. You
- 12:35Speaker 7: really can't, you know, move laterally.
- 12:37Speaker 5: But if she got, like, a fill-in... You know? Or
- 12:41Speaker 5: just go for it and just be prepared for him
- 12:42Speaker 5: to maybe get the ick because you said you were
- 12:44Speaker 5: good and you're not.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And you lost him $ 5, 000.
- 12:48Speaker 11: I think he could be like, you know, funny story.
- 12:52Speaker 11: I've never played pickleball in my life. I just thought
- 12:54Speaker 11: you were so attractive. And we were talking and I
- 12:57Speaker 11: lied and I said I could play pickleball. And he
- 12:59Speaker 11: might go, oh, my God. Or he's competitive like, what?
- 13:02Speaker 3: We got $ 5, 000 and a lie.
- 13:04Speaker 15: Right?
- 13:04Speaker 18: So.
- 13:05Speaker 2: You got so much to do. You got to get
- 13:07Speaker 2: your fit right. First of all, you can't show up
- 13:08Speaker 2: there not looking awesome, right? There's pickleball clothes, right, Kyle?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Specific pickleball clothes.
- 13:13Speaker 18: Sure.
- 13:14Speaker 10: Well, you're in a dilemma. We can find you a
- 13:15Speaker 10: pickleball teacher, though. When's the tournament? How much time do
- 13:17Speaker 10: you have?
- 13:18Speaker 21: Like six days?
- 13:19Speaker 10: Six days. We can make you a pro in four.
- 13:21Speaker 5: I can see the montage now. The Rocky music is playing.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I'm going to need a montage.
- 13:27Speaker 10: All right, Elizabeth, thanks for calling in.
- 13:29Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 13:38Speaker 10: Ashley, we were getting into do-it-yourself disaster stories.
- 13:42Speaker 11: I saw your text. I was like, we have to
- 13:44Speaker 11: talk to her. We need to know more about this story, Ashley.
- 13:46Speaker 10: Good morning.
- 13:48Speaker 23: Good morning.
- 13:49Speaker 10: So what is your do-it-yourself story gone wrong?
- 13:53Speaker 23: So like a.
- 13:54Speaker 18: Year and a half ago, I... crop dusting plane crashed
- 13:58Speaker 18: into the side of our house and we had to
- 14:02Speaker 18: get everything taken out. We lost everything in our house
- 14:05Speaker 18: and they had to take out all the flooring and everything.
- 14:07Speaker 18: And so there was this giant hole on our wall.
- 14:09Speaker 18: And my husband was like, I can do it ourselves.
- 14:12Speaker 18: Like I can patch this hole. And as he's patching
- 14:14Speaker 18: the hole, it's just going more and more out. He's
- 14:18Speaker 18: just like, keeps on patching, keeps on patching it. And
- 14:21Speaker 18: it's like the whole entire wall at this point is
- 14:24Speaker 18: And then he was like, okay, it's good. Like, we'll,
- 14:26Speaker 18: we'll paint it. So we start painting it and we're like,
- 14:29Speaker 18: why does it look so weird? Like the color doesn't
- 14:32Speaker 18: match the rest of the house. And we didn't realize
- 14:34Speaker 18: you had to like put a primer over the patch
- 14:38Speaker 18: that you do, I guess. Cause it like soaks up
- 14:40Speaker 18: all the shine out of the paint.
- 14:44Speaker 11: I'd like to get more into the plane crashing into
- 14:47Speaker 11: your house story. Like what's the story with that?
- 14:50Speaker 10: Um, I.
- 14:53Speaker 18: Was sleeping with my kids and there was just a
- 14:55Speaker 18: big crash and the windows blew out and I guess
- 14:58Speaker 18: you just lost control of the plane and it just
- 15:02Speaker 18: landed in between two houses and one side was my house.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Do you live on a farm or near a farm?
- 15:09Speaker 14: No.
- 15:10Speaker 10: Was it the propeller or the plane wing went through
- 15:13Speaker 10: your house?
- 15:15Speaker 18: The wing and then it spun and so all of
- 15:18Speaker 18: the Um, pesticides he was spraying on his, uh, crops,
- 15:23Speaker 18: like went into the house and so that's how we
- 15:25Speaker 18: lost everything.
- 15:27Speaker 8: Wow.
- 15:28Speaker 10: Anybody hurt?
- 15:29Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 18: No, the, we have a video from the, across the street.
- 15:33Speaker 18: They had like the ring door camera and he just
- 15:35Speaker 18: opened our gate and walked out. Oh my gosh. And, Yeah, thankfully,
- 15:38Speaker 18: we were all okay, too. But, yeah, when I had
- 15:41Speaker 18: to call my husband and tell him, like, he had
- 15:43Speaker 18: to come home from work because a plane crashed in
- 15:44Speaker 18: my house, he was like, are you having a mental breakdown?
- 15:48Speaker 10: Can we have the video to post?
- 15:50Speaker 18: Yeah, I'll see if I can find it. I'm sure
- 15:52Speaker 18: my husband has it.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you save that?
- 15:55Speaker 10: Save that.
- 15:56Speaker 18: Yeah, I don't like, I mean, I don't, I'm so
- 15:58Speaker 18: over it at this point. It's been, like, the biggest
- 16:00Speaker 18: nightmare of my whole entire life. And then a couple
- 16:03Speaker 18: of days ago, a tree fell on my car at work.
- 16:07Speaker 10: Oh, my God.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Goodness gracious.
- 16:09Speaker 7: Bad luck over there.
- 16:10Speaker 10: No, I swear.
- 16:10Speaker 7: It feels like that movie.
- 16:11Speaker 3: It's that movie where you're supposed to die.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Final destination.
- 16:15Speaker 9: Final destination.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Guys are looking at this all wrong. Since they've rebuilt,
- 16:18Speaker 2: they haven't had any problems with the crops in their house,
- 16:21Speaker 2: with bugs.
- 16:22Speaker 18: Exactly.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Glass half full right there, Ash.
- 16:28Speaker 10: Let me ask you this.
- 16:29Speaker 11: So the plane crashes in your house. You decide to
- 16:33Speaker 11: do it, do it yourself. Doesn't insurance cover that? Plane
- 16:36Speaker 11: crashing in your house?
- 16:37Speaker 18: The problem was the insurance only gave us so much
- 16:40Speaker 18: money towards things. And because we lost everything in the
- 16:43Speaker 18: house and our insurance was fighting us like throughout the
- 16:46Speaker 18: whole entire process and they pulled out all the carpet
- 16:48Speaker 18: and then they're like, oh, well, we don't have to
- 16:50Speaker 18: pay for the flooring and all the tile was broken.
- 16:53Speaker 18: So we were trying to do the things that we
- 16:56Speaker 18: took a week off work and we're like, we'll just
- 16:58Speaker 18: do everything that we know how to like kind of
- 17:00Speaker 18: know how to do. And we'll just pay for the
- 17:02Speaker 18: stuff that's like the structural things that have to.
- 17:05Speaker 23: Get fixed.
- 17:07Speaker 18: To try to save some money. And it still ended
- 17:10Speaker 18: up not being enough. We ended up taking out like
- 17:12Speaker 18: a loan to try to finish out the rest of
- 17:13Speaker 18: the house just because of how much damage it actually
- 17:16Speaker 18: ended up having.
- 17:18Speaker 10: Well, today's your lucky day for calling in A. And
- 17:20Speaker 10: for B is we would like to gift you a
- 17:22Speaker 10: $ 500 gift card to airtasker.com.
- 17:26Speaker 16: Wow.
- 17:27Speaker 14: Okay.
- 17:29Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 17:30Speaker 10: Yeah, they assemble everything. Furniture, they mount a TV, moving
- 17:33Speaker 10: a couch, cleaning, yard work, even something totally random, like
- 17:36Speaker 10: when an airplane falls in your living room. Set your budget.
- 17:39Speaker 10: You choose from local Tasker's based on the reviews, ratings,
- 17:42Speaker 10: and pricing.
- 17:43Speaker 11: It's easy, secure, and you're in control. Download the Air
- 17:46Speaker 11: Tasker app or visit airtasker.com and get anything done for you, though, Ashley.
- 17:49Speaker 10: $ 500 for you. Wow, thank you.
- 17:51Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 17:54Speaker 10: Hold on. Please send us that video. Hold on so
- 17:55Speaker 10: we get your information and also that video. Hold on. Hey,
- 18:01Speaker 10: it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of
- 18:04Speaker 10: information and Rich has life hacks. Get on football season.
- 18:08Speaker 10: You know, you can't help but people talking about tailgating.
- 18:10Speaker 10: It's starting again, tailgate season. So, Ranker.com did the best
- 18:14Speaker 10: tailgate foods in like every state or of all time.
- 18:20Speaker 10: They're still accepting votes if you go to Ranker.com, but
- 18:23Speaker 10: right now, chicken wings is number one. Hot dogs, sliders, brisket, tortilla, chips, salsa.
- 18:27Speaker 10: I think this stuff is such a norm.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Wouldn't you think it'd be carne asada?
- 18:32Speaker 10: If UFOs landed tomorrow and aliens were confirmed to have arrived,
- 18:36Speaker 10: Americans are twice as likely to feel curious, barely fearful,
- 18:40Speaker 10: and 55% admit society is not prepared for UFOs.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Only 55% of us?
- 18:45Speaker 11: Which, by the way, I recommend Lanterns on HBO. It's
- 18:48Speaker 11: about Green Lantern, and he protects the universe, and there's
- 18:51Speaker 11: a murderer, and there's a bunch of aliens.
- 18:53Speaker 10: It's pretty good. It's on HBO. In a new report... 38%
- 18:59Speaker 10: of people admit to staging a silent protest over a
- 19:02Speaker 10: household mess, quietly leaving stuff out, hoping someone else will
- 19:05Speaker 10: deal with it. That happened to me this morning with
- 19:07Speaker 10: dog poop in the backyard. I didn't want to step out.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I just didn't see it. It was dark outside.
- 19:11Speaker 10: Yeah, it was dark. I was like, maybe she'll pick
- 19:13Speaker 10: it up later. According to a new study, since it
- 19:15Speaker 10: is National Dog Day today, when dogs see happy faces,
- 19:19Speaker 10: it activates an.
- 19:19Speaker 11: Area in the brain that's linked to rewards, just like
- 19:23Speaker 11: getting a treat. And that's not for their owners. It's
- 19:25Speaker 11: for complete strangers, too. So whenever you see a dog and.
- 19:27Speaker 10: You go, oh, that's a pretty dog.
- 19:29Speaker 7: Oh.
- 19:29Speaker 10: They know when you're happy.
- 19:30Speaker 7: They like get, poor dogs, they like get their hopes up.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Like this person definitely has a treat for me.
- 19:35Speaker 5: No, I feel like they're saying like a smile goes
- 19:37Speaker 5: a long way.
- 19:38Speaker 10: Yeah, it makes them feel like they're getting a treat.
- 19:39Speaker 24: Oh, oh.
- 19:40Speaker 7: I'm thinking like an actual treat. Like that dog walks
- 19:42Speaker 7: away and is like this bee.
- 19:43Speaker 10: 42% of people say airline etiquette is getting worse. Most
- 19:48Speaker 10: people say loud conversation. or pastors playing music and videos
- 19:51Speaker 10: without headphones is the most annoying flight behavior.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Have you noticed on our latest flight, John Jay, when
- 19:55Speaker 2: they make the announcements, they're like, if you're watching media,
- 19:58Speaker 2: put in your headphones or we will take your tablet
- 20:01Speaker 2: away from you.
- 20:01Speaker 5: Really?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, they went off.
- 20:03Speaker 7: I feel like the guy next to me when I
- 20:05Speaker 7: flew home from Portland a couple weeks ago said, failed
- 20:07Speaker 7: airplane etiquette because i was in the middle and he
- 20:10Speaker 7: legitimately would not let me have the armrest i feel
- 20:13Speaker 7: like if you're in the middle you should get both
- 20:15Speaker 7: of the middle you're already at a disadvantage homeboy wanted no.
- 20:18Speaker 10: Part it was funny i was recently in the middle
- 20:21Speaker 10: and um i got both armrests i was so.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Impressed right thing to do yeah john jay said that
- 20:27Speaker 2: he liked being in the middle this time it was
- 20:28Speaker 2: a pleasant flight in the middle I was the row
- 20:30Speaker 2: right behind John Jay, and he didn't move and inch
- 20:32Speaker 2: the whole flight.
- 20:33Speaker 10: It was impressive.
- 20:34Speaker 7: I was even elbowing him, trying to get him to move.
- 20:35Speaker 7: He was not budging.
- 20:37Speaker 10: Which state do you think is the state that spends
- 20:38Speaker 10: the most on hair care?
- 20:40Speaker 14: California.
- 20:41Speaker 10: New York. Arkansas. What? Oh, Arkansas.
- 20:45Speaker 5: How does that make sense?
- 20:46Speaker 7: All sorority girls, all the blonde baddies in Arkansas.
- 20:49Speaker 10: Arkansas is the state where people spend the most on
- 20:50Speaker 10: hair care. Virginia spends the least.
- 20:53Speaker 7: All the pageants. Come on, all the pageant girls come
- 20:56Speaker 7: from Arkansas.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I thought they were from South Carolina.
- 20:58Speaker 7: Listen, I bet you girls from South Carolina get their
- 21:00Speaker 7: hair done in Arkansas, too.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Is it humid in Arkansas?
- 21:03Speaker 2: It is very humid.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Okay, so that has something to do with it, too,
- 21:05Speaker 5: I believe.
- 21:06Speaker 10: Mentalfloss.com put together a list of the best action movies
- 21:09Speaker 10: of every year from 2000 to 2009. I don't know
- 21:11Speaker 10: why they stopped at 2009. What do you think is...
- 21:14Speaker 10: Take a guess at some of the best action movies.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Action movies.
- 21:17Speaker 7: James Bond.
- 21:18Speaker 24: Oh, yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Mission Impossible.
- 21:19Speaker 2: John Wick.
- 21:21Speaker 10: John Wick. Interesting. I don't think John Wick came out.
- 21:24Speaker 10: Come on.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Rich is never landing on these ranked lists.
- 21:29Speaker 2: You know, once in a blue moon, I'll get a
- 21:30Speaker 2: number one, but it doesn't happen very often. Kill Bill.
- 21:33Speaker 7: Ooh, Kill Bill.
- 21:34Speaker 5: So good.
- 21:35Speaker 11: In 2009, it was The Hurt Locker. In 2008, it
- 21:38Speaker 11: was The Dark Knight. In 2007, Transformers. In 2006, Children
- 21:42Speaker 11: of Men. 2005, Sin City. 2004, Collateral. That was Jimmy
- 21:47Speaker 11: Foxx and Tom Cruise.
- 21:49Speaker 10: 2003, Old Boy. 2002, The Bourne Identity. 2001, Black Hawk Down.
- 21:54Speaker 2: This is a smart person list.
- 21:56Speaker 10: No, I've seen all these movies. I'm not a smart person.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Children of what?
- 21:59Speaker 10: Children of.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Never heard of it.
- 22:00Speaker 10: Children of Men. The number one best action movie... In
- 22:05Speaker 10: the year 2000, and they say of all time, or
- 22:07Speaker 10: up until 2009, is Gladiator.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's great.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Are you not entertained?
- 22:11Speaker 15: Yes.
- 22:12Speaker 10: What do you got for life hacks, Rich?
- 22:13Speaker 2: John Jay, this is for you. Because have you ever
- 22:16Speaker 2: had your remote die, right, when you finally find something
- 22:18Speaker 2: to watch?
- 22:20Speaker 10: Happens quite a bit, actually. It's really frustrating.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It's really frustrating. Then you've got to get up and
- 22:25Speaker 2: go find a battery from, I don't know, maybe your
- 22:26Speaker 2: boy's Xbox controller. Here's the life hack, and this may
- 22:32Speaker 2: save you. Maybe only once, but you only need once.
- 22:34Speaker 2: If you're lazy one time, this will help you. Take
- 22:36Speaker 2: the batteries out and roll them between your hands for
- 22:39Speaker 2: about 20 to 30 seconds. Put them back in. Believe
- 22:42Speaker 2: it or not, warming batteries up with your body heat
- 22:44Speaker 2: can give them about an hour or so more work time.
- 22:47Speaker 10: I believe it. Usually I open up the thing and
- 22:48Speaker 10: I spin them.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, you can spin them, but just take them
- 22:51Speaker 2: like this.
- 22:51Speaker 10: Yeah, but I won't take them out because then I
- 22:52Speaker 10: don't know how to put them back in.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Well, that is the hide of laziness. I was giving
- 22:57Speaker 2: you a lay and you're too lazy to be lazy.
- 22:59Speaker 14: All right.
- 23:00Speaker 2: That life hack and many more for some, if you're semi-lazy,
- 23:02Speaker 2: it can be found at johnjainrich.com.
- 23:11Speaker 10: Good morning, Alex. You're on the air. What's up?
- 23:13Speaker 17: Hey, yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 24: So I was, um, I was like chilling at my
- 23:16Speaker 24: buddy's house and his dog kept, uh, kept bringing me
- 23:20Speaker 24: this shoe, this like same shoe over.
- 23:22Speaker 17: And over again.
- 23:24Speaker 14: And so I thought the dog was just playing. So
- 23:27Speaker 14: I'm like throwing it. Finally, my friend comes in.
- 23:31Speaker 10: He looks at me.
- 23:31Speaker 14: He's like, why are you throwing.
- 23:34Speaker 10: That, dude?
- 23:35Speaker 24: So apparently it was like one of his girlfriend's favorite shoes.
- 23:39Speaker 24: And the dog went and stole it from her closet.
- 23:42Speaker 24: So then she comes downstairs. She sees me playing fetch
- 23:47Speaker 24: with this shoe. And she gets so pissed off at me.
- 23:51Speaker 14: She yells like, So you're the reason why I only
- 23:55Speaker 14: have one. And this is so expensive and blah, blah, blah.
- 23:58Speaker 14: You know, it was just like, I'm just like playing.
- 24:01Speaker 10: With the dog.
- 24:01Speaker 24: You know, I didn't, I didn't like go in and
- 24:04Speaker 24: like pull it out of her closet.
- 24:06Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 14: My buddy's now in the dog house for a bit.
- 24:10Speaker 14: Cause he didn't say anything to me sooner. Obviously I
- 24:12Speaker 14: haven't gone back over there in a while either.
- 24:15Speaker 8: So.
- 24:16Speaker 10: So it was like a Louboutin? You're just throwing this shoe?
- 24:19Speaker 10: Was it a tennis shoe? Yeah, I don't know.
- 24:21Speaker 14: I had a couple, like, you know, letters on there.
- 24:24Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 24:24Speaker 10: I get it, man. As a dog owner. It doesn't
- 24:28Speaker 10: even matter if it's an expensive shoe.
- 24:29Speaker 11: She's like, I had a dog chew up one of
- 24:31Speaker 11: my slides, and it pissed me off so much. But
- 24:34Speaker 11: you just can't do anything about it. Yeah, but why
- 24:35Speaker 11: is she yelling at you? It's their dog.
- 24:37Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 24:38Speaker 14: That's what I'm saying. And my buddy just, he saw
- 24:41Speaker 14: me do it, and he didn't, like.
- 24:43Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 24:43Speaker 24: I mean, I threw it another time after he said.
- 24:46Speaker 14: It because he kind of laughed when he said it too.
- 24:48Speaker 14: He was just, I think he knew it was about
- 24:52Speaker 14: to go down and he was just bracing for impact.
- 24:56Speaker 10: I wonder if the dog pooped out a shoe, 3D
- 24:59Speaker 10: printer shoe of poop.
- 25:05Speaker 5: I think I would also be mad at you.
- 25:06Speaker 7: I'm with the girlfriend.
- 25:07Speaker 25: Like you see the shoe, you probably go, oh, someone
- 25:11Speaker 25: probably doesn't want the dog playing with this. And you
- 25:13Speaker 25: put the shoe up on the chair somewhere the dog
- 25:15Speaker 25: can't get it.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Guys are clueless.
- 25:18Speaker 10: That's just me.
- 25:19Speaker 14: There was drool all over it.
- 25:20Speaker 24: That dog had had the shoe for a while.
- 25:22Speaker 14: I don't think there was any turn back.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I just found out.
- 25:24Speaker 10: I can see you probably also think, oh, this is
- 25:27Speaker 10: a shoe. This is probably the dog's chew toy.
- 25:29Speaker 14: Sure.
- 25:29Speaker 10: So you're throwing it. But also, your buddy should have been, bro,
- 25:32Speaker 10: that's not a, you know, grab it. Your buddy should
- 25:34Speaker 10: have got up and grabbed his shoe and said, oh, no,
- 25:35Speaker 10: this is Francine's shoe. You know, but at any rate.
- 25:38Speaker 10: Thanks for sharing that story with us. See you, man.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Jayla, good morning.
- 25:52Speaker 10: You're on the air.
- 25:53Speaker 23: Hey.
- 25:54Speaker 10: Hey.
- 25:55Speaker 4: So, one of my friends told us that she had
- 25:58Speaker 4: a cancer scare and needed surgery. And so, obviously, everyone
- 26:03Speaker 4: kind of rallied around her. Money, meals, whatever she needed,
- 26:07Speaker 4: took care of her sh * *, like all of it.
- 26:09Speaker 4: And then months later, I ran into her sister. and mentioned,
- 26:13Speaker 4: you know, we're so relieved, glad.
- 26:15Speaker 21: Your sister's okay.
- 26:16Speaker 4: And her sister looked at me like I had three heads.
- 26:19Speaker 7: Okay.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Why? Apparently, my friend never had cancer. She had elective
- 26:25Speaker 4: cosmetic surgery and vetted a whole thing because she didn't
- 26:28Speaker 4: want people judging her for taking time off.
- 26:31Speaker 5: What did she get done?
- 26:33Speaker 8: Nose.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Just her nose?
- 26:35Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 10: Oh, man.
- 26:36Speaker 21: I mean, that's all she will tell us.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Don't you think people are going to, I mean, That's
- 26:41Speaker 2: pretty significant, right? Aren't you going to notice that if
- 26:44Speaker 2: you're one of the friends?
- 26:45Speaker 10: Nose cancer.
- 26:46Speaker 5: I think so.
- 26:47Speaker 20: But I'm still, yeah, I'm still stuck on the cancer thing.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Like, if you want to do something to your face, whatever,
- 26:53Speaker 4: it's your body, like, fine.
- 26:55Speaker 20: But, like, just be upfront about it.
- 26:56Speaker 10: So does that make you now not believe people when
- 26:58Speaker 10: they tell you they're sick?
- 27:00Speaker 5: I think that would make her not believe this particular.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Girl with anything ever.
- 27:04Speaker 10: Somebody says, somebody says, Oh, I have whatever you like me.
- 27:06Speaker 10: I assure you do now.
- 27:07Speaker 2: It's really, it's weird. You guys are bringing her like
- 27:09Speaker 2: casseroles and stuff and her nose is wrapped.
- 27:11Speaker 20: Up and nobody, nobody thought for her.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Oh, wow.
- 27:15Speaker 11: Well, I was going to say this is a much smaller,
- 27:18Speaker 11: smaller lie, or if you call it a lie. I
- 27:20Speaker 11: didn't believe Peyton. I texted her the other day. She
- 27:22Speaker 11: didn't text me back. She said she didn't see it.
- 27:24Speaker 5: I didn't.
- 27:25Speaker 10: And I was like, oh, yeah.
- 27:27Speaker 11: I actually thought of bringing it up on the air
- 27:29Speaker 11: and getting into the things that people just don't believe.
- 27:33Speaker 11: Do you think now, Jayla, if someone tells you that
- 27:36Speaker 11: they have cancer or something, will you believe them right
- 27:38Speaker 11: away or be like, I don't know, somebody lied to
- 27:41Speaker 11: me once?
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I might be a little skeptical now.
- 27:43Speaker 5: That stinks!
- 27:45Speaker 2: She did have a little bit of an out because
- 27:47Speaker 2: she said a cancer scare. That doesn't mean cancer, right?
- 27:51Speaker 2: So she kind of had a little bit of what
- 27:53Speaker 2: they call plausible deniability.
- 27:54Speaker 25: I don't think that's anything you say. That's not okay.
- 27:58Speaker 7: That's bad karma. It's terrible. You speak that into existence.
- 28:01Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 28:02Speaker 10: Why don't we turn this into like, what are some
- 28:04Speaker 10: things you don't believe that people say, like that you
- 28:06Speaker 10: see in life?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Okay, I got something. Remember when Avatar 2 was breaking
- 28:10Speaker 2: all kinds of box office records? Beyond me, I don't
- 28:13Speaker 2: think I know anybody that saw that or Avatar 3.
- 28:16Speaker 2: And it was like, you know, it just surpassed a
- 28:19Speaker 2: billion dollars, but nobody had seen it. I think it's
- 28:21Speaker 2: a big lie. I think James Cameron and his people
- 28:24Speaker 2: somehow pumped up some kind of foreign thing where it
- 28:27Speaker 2: makes it seem like people are way into Avatar. I
- 28:30Speaker 2: don't know one person. Now, Spider-Man, everybody's like, yeah, I
- 28:32Speaker 2: liked it. You get why that's huge. Avatar 2, Avatar 3,
- 28:36Speaker 2: I don't get it.
- 28:36Speaker 10: Boy, that's a really good one. I don't think I
- 28:38Speaker 10: know one person that's an avatar, too.
- 28:41Speaker 7: I feel like I have one. When somebody says that
- 28:45Speaker 7: they're really craving one of those sparkling waters, they could
- 28:48Speaker 7: really go for a LaCroix. No, you don't. Nobody really
- 28:53Speaker 7: actually enjoys it.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Who craves that?
- 28:56Speaker 5: Who craves that? On that same kind of tip, I
- 28:59Speaker 5: don't believe people when they say they enjoy working out.
- 29:02Speaker 2: No, you don't.
- 29:03Speaker 14: No.
- 29:04Speaker 5: You feel like you're going to die.
- 29:05Speaker 14: When you wear that.
- 29:05Speaker 10: Maybe afterwards. I want to address both those. Maybe you'll
- 29:07Speaker 10: like me afterwards. I want to address both those, yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 10: I don't like working out, but I do like the
- 29:14Speaker 10: way it feels after. That's what I said.
- 29:16Speaker 5: You're like, I really like, I'm really into working out
- 29:18Speaker 5: right now.
- 29:18Speaker 10: And I don't really crave the, I love sparkling water.
- 29:22Speaker 10: It's my new thing right now. I love it. No,
- 29:24Speaker 10: you don't. I do, I do.
- 29:25Speaker 14: No.
- 29:26Speaker 2: You're not a barometer, though. You're odd.
- 29:28Speaker 10: I'm telling you the truth. You're a strange boy, John Jay.
- 29:30Speaker 5: You're one of one, John Jay.
- 29:31Speaker 7: If you like it, John Jay, it's because you like
- 29:33Speaker 7: the way that it tingles and feels like electricity in
- 29:35Speaker 7: your mouth, not.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Because you like the taste.
- 29:36Speaker 11: Hey, another one is Long the Lines of Rich and Avatar.
- 29:38Speaker 11: I don't necessarily believe that Netflix... ten.
- 29:41Speaker 5: I actually have that same theory because it's the shows
- 29:44Speaker 5: they want to push.
- 29:45Speaker 11: There's a show right now that you and I talked
- 29:47Speaker 11: about the other day. Whenever it's a show and it's
- 29:49Speaker 11: in another language and it's in the top ten here,
- 29:51Speaker 11: I'm like, wow.
- 29:53Speaker 7: There's like two dubbed over shows in the top ten
- 29:55Speaker 7: right now and I actually stopped watching Blood Sacrifice Because
- 29:58Speaker 7: I started actually paying attention and I was like, they're
- 30:00Speaker 7: dubbed over. This show sucks.
- 30:02Speaker 5: That's the worst when you're watching a show and you
- 30:04Speaker 5: all of a sudden notice it's dubbed over really poorly.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Speaking of her friend and her cancer scare, Jayla. I
- 30:10Speaker 2: don't believe it when you're waiting for a table and
- 30:12Speaker 2: they're like, it'll be a few minutes and there's like
- 30:14Speaker 2: a bunch of free tables. Why can't they just put
- 30:16Speaker 2: you at the table?
- 30:17Speaker 10: They will in a few minutes.
- 30:19Speaker 11: When they say it's a 45-minute wait, that's when I'm like,
- 30:21Speaker 11: what the hell?
- 30:21Speaker 10: This place is empty.
- 30:22Speaker 2: It's not that big of a wait. You can slide
- 30:24Speaker 2: us in right now. Get us some apps.
- 30:26Speaker 10: We're good. How about that?
- 30:28Speaker 11: What are the little things you don't believe people when
- 30:30Speaker 11: they tell you? Like, gluten allergies. That's a big, I
- 30:33Speaker 11: have a friend of mine who has celiacs. He has
- 30:35Speaker 11: it for real, but he says that that's so many
- 30:38Speaker 11: times people don't believe him when he.
- 30:39Speaker 10: Says he has it.
- 30:40Speaker 7: I feel like people, if you say you have celiac disease,
- 30:43Speaker 7: you have to come ready with the strips and the
- 30:45Speaker 7: things that you test all your food because if not,
- 30:47Speaker 7: I would probably just sensitive to gluten.
- 30:50Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 10: Because a lot of people say they're set, they have celiacs,
- 30:52Speaker 10: they're sensitive to gluten, but a lot of people, but,
- 30:54Speaker 10: and they say celiacs, like just say.
- 30:57Speaker 7: Cillian's like gluten will kill you if you have cillian disease.
- 30:59Speaker 10: Right, right, right.
- 31:00Speaker 2: So let's call this segment. Yeah, I don't buy it.
- 31:03Speaker 10: That's what we'll call this segment. All right, 877-937-1047. Thanks, Jayla.
- 31:07Speaker 10: Thanks for calling in.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 31:08Speaker 15: 877-937-1047.
- 31:23Speaker 10: What just don't you believe when people tell you?
- 31:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't buy it.
- 31:27Speaker 10: Brenda, good morning.
- 31:29Speaker 20: Good morning.
- 31:29Speaker 7: How are you?
- 31:30Speaker 15: Good.
- 31:31Speaker 10: What's up?
- 31:32Speaker 20: So I was listening to a segment. One thing that
- 31:35Speaker 20: I cannot stand when people say is like, oh, my gosh,
- 31:38Speaker 20: I've been so busy. I haven't been able to text you.
- 31:40Speaker 20: And you're like, it's been a week, dude.
- 31:43Speaker 10: Yeah, see, I have an out for that, by the way.
- 31:45Speaker 2: You do?
- 31:46Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 31:47Speaker 11: So if somebody texts me. And then I'll respond much later,
- 31:51Speaker 11: days later. I'm not lying. I said, oh, I'm just
- 31:54Speaker 11: reading this. It doesn't mean that I didn't read it earlier.
- 31:59Speaker 11: So it's a truth of somewhatness.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's like, oh my God, I'm.
- 32:03Speaker 10: Just reading this. Yeah, I can meet you there tomorrow
- 32:05Speaker 10: at four or whatever. You know what I mean? But
- 32:07Speaker 10: I don't say I didn't see it. So I read it.
- 32:09Speaker 20: Yeah, but that's still like. I mean, everybody has their phones, like,
- 32:13Speaker 20: all the time. And when people are like, oh, my gosh,
- 32:15Speaker 20: I haven't had time to text you, you're like, okay,
- 32:17Speaker 20: but you go to the restroom, right? And you know
- 32:19Speaker 20: people take their phones to the restroom.
- 32:20Speaker 2: That's true. That's what you say to people. You could
- 32:22Speaker 2: have texted me on the toilet.
- 32:24Speaker 10: Well, that's what I said about Peyton the other day.
- 32:26Speaker 10: When I texted Peyton and she didn't return my text,
- 32:28Speaker 10: I'm like. One thing I know about Peyton, she's on
- 32:30Speaker 10: her phone 24-7. Like, how does she not see my text?
- 32:34Speaker 10: That's the part that I just, you know, you just
- 32:36Speaker 10: got to let it go.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Brendan, here's what I do. I fall on the sword
- 32:39Speaker 2: right away. Hey, you didn't respond to my text. I
- 32:41Speaker 2: usually go, That's because I'm a terrible person. I'm so sorry.
- 32:44Speaker 2: And then you're kind of, you know.
- 32:45Speaker 7: Why do you shame yourself?
- 32:47Speaker 2: Because I've seen my wife do it and get away
- 32:50Speaker 2: with it. Like when we're late for something and she'll
- 32:53Speaker 2: call ahead. She'll be like, you're going to want to
- 32:55Speaker 2: murder me. We're five minutes late. I'm like, nobody's going
- 32:57Speaker 2: to want to murder you because you're five minutes late.
- 32:59Speaker 2: But she says, if you go a little deeper, if
- 33:01Speaker 2: you go a little deeper, they forgive you. So, you know,
- 33:04Speaker 2: shame yourself.
- 33:05Speaker 19: Yeah, that's true.
- 33:06Speaker 5: It's kind of genius, really.
- 33:08Speaker 10: Brenda, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 33:10Speaker 19: Thanks.
- 33:11Speaker 10: Ruby, what don't you just believe or buy?
- 33:16Speaker 24: Rubes?
- 33:17Speaker 1: Hey, yes, I'm here.
- 33:19Speaker 14: What do you got?
- 33:21Speaker 21: I don't believe it when people say they like healthy food.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I'm with you on that.
- 33:27Speaker 23: All these people are like, oh, I love the healthy.
- 33:29Speaker 4: No, you don't.
- 33:31Speaker 2: For years, Ruby, I've been telling the people who say
- 33:33Speaker 2: they love kale, they're just lying. Nobody loves kale.
- 33:36Speaker 21: Nobody loves kale.
- 33:37Speaker 20: You'll eat it, but nobody loves it.
- 33:39Speaker 2: We know it's good for you, but we don't love it.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Is it good for you? I feel like kale is.
- 33:42Speaker 26: The controversial thing.
- 33:43Speaker 23: Kale chips are okay.
- 33:45Speaker 21: It has sea salt.
- 33:47Speaker 10: Oh, kale chips, you're right. Those are pretty good.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but you've got to load them up with salt.
- 33:52Speaker 21: I guess. Yeah, everything is loaded up with something.
- 33:55Speaker 10: They come like that. You can buy them at.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Out of the sea?
- 33:58Speaker 10: No, no, no, in the bag. You open up your
- 33:59Speaker 10: kale chips, they have salt on them. They're good. Thanks, Ruby.
- 34:02Speaker 2: No, chips are good.
- 34:03Speaker 20: But no one's going to get them plain.
- 34:04Speaker 26: Yeah, no one's going to get them plain.
- 34:06Speaker 10: Jen, what don't you believe?
- 34:07Speaker 19: Oh, I.
- 34:10Speaker 9: I don't believe that work weeks can't be only five.
- 34:14Speaker 21: Days a week.
- 34:16Speaker 9: Like, come on. No, four days a week. I mean,
- 34:18Speaker 9: four days.
- 34:19Speaker 19: Four days a week.
- 34:20Speaker 9: It can be four days a week.
- 34:21Speaker 7: Come on.
- 34:21Speaker 9: We can do 10 hours four days a week. Let's
- 34:24Speaker 9: do it all across the board. If all of Arizona
- 34:27Speaker 9: can be, you know, we don't have to have, you know,
- 34:31Speaker 9: daylight savings, then of course that we can have four-day
- 34:35Speaker 9: work week.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Jen, I've been pushing the four-day work week for years.
- 34:38Speaker 2: She's been a pioneer. Kyle.
- 34:40Speaker 5: I will stand on that hill with you.
- 34:42Speaker 2: If you ran for office, Kyle, and that was your
- 34:44Speaker 2: only platform, you would win. Everything.
- 34:46Speaker 10: All the time.
- 34:47Speaker 5: Let's run together, Jen.
- 34:48Speaker 7: We can run together.
- 34:48Speaker 12: We will.
- 34:50Speaker 5: We will.
- 34:51Speaker 10: Thank you, Jen. That's a great one.
- 34:54Speaker 9: Love you guys.
- 34:55Speaker 8: You too.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Bye.
- 34:55Speaker 10: Oh, my God. Phones are going crazy, you guys. Let
- 34:59Speaker 10: me see. Hello. Good morning. John Jane Rich. Who's this?
- 35:04Speaker 9: Hi, this is Val.
- 35:05Speaker 10: Hi, Val. What are you doing? Where are you today?
- 35:07Speaker 10: What part of town?
- 35:10Speaker 27: I'm in Mesa on my way to work in Phoenix.
- 35:14Speaker 10: Are you calling about the what don't you just believe?
- 35:18Speaker 27: Yeah, I'm not sure if someone has said something similar,
- 35:21Speaker 27: but I don't believe when people say, I could have
- 35:25Speaker 27: played so-and-so sport, but I had an injury in high school.
- 35:28Speaker 16: I don't believe.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Good for you. You're like, probably we're going to make
- 35:36Speaker 2: it in the majors.
- 35:37Speaker 3: That's so good.
- 35:40Speaker 27: We all know that person.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Val, coming in hot with a hot take. Oh, my God.
- 35:47Speaker 10: Thanks, Val. Thank you. Hey, Blake, good morning. You're on
- 35:50Speaker 10: the air. What don't you just believe? What don't you buy?
- 35:51Speaker 9: I don't believe when people say, like, vodka.
- 35:58Speaker 5: I'm with you.
- 36:00Speaker 7: I feel like the matcha, you got to judge it.
- 36:02Speaker 10: Up with some flavors. My wife is so into matcha
- 36:05Speaker 10: right now. She goes to the farmer's market. She goes
- 36:08Speaker 10: to Uptown Farmer's Market every Saturday just to get the
- 36:10Speaker 10: matcha from one booth because it's so delicious.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Really?
- 36:13Speaker 10: They put cinnamon in oat milk or something. I don't know. Well,
- 36:15Speaker 10: this Blake doesn't believe you're Blake.
- 36:17Speaker 15: I know.
- 36:18Speaker 27: I know.
- 36:18Speaker 5: It's a battle of the Blakes.
- 36:21Speaker 25: Watch out.
- 36:21Speaker 15: Thanks, Blake.
- 36:23Speaker 10: Kelly, what don't you believe?
- 36:26Speaker 14: Kelly.
- 36:28Speaker 16: Oh, sorry.
- 36:29Speaker 18: Hi.
- 36:30Speaker 17: Okay.
- 36:30Speaker 19: So I don't believe it when people call him sick.
- 36:34Speaker 28: Like, I get it. We don't want to go to work,
- 36:36Speaker 28: but you're not really sick, bro.
- 36:39Speaker 10: I get that. I don't believe people ever.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. Remember, John Jay, when we used to
- 36:42Speaker 2: have people call in sick and you would have doctors
- 36:44Speaker 2: go to their house on the air? That is so crazy.
- 36:47Speaker 10: I didn't believe them.
- 36:48Speaker 7: Honestly, though, if you really are sick and down bad,
- 36:52Speaker 7: it's actually kind of helpful and useful to have a
- 36:54Speaker 7: doctor house call.
- 36:54Speaker 10: Well, it's like if you come in, Peyton, and you're sick,
- 36:57Speaker 10: which you've done many times, and then you're in the
- 36:59Speaker 10: back laying on the floor, I'd rather say, you're sick,
- 37:01Speaker 10: go home. Then people go, I'm sick. Oh, really? You're
- 37:03Speaker 10: out till four in the morning?
- 37:04Speaker 2: Yeah, here's how it works on this show, though. If
- 37:06Speaker 2: you come in sick, we're also mad at you for
- 37:08Speaker 2: coming in here and getting us sick. So if you
- 37:10Speaker 2: stay home, we think you're faking. But if you come in,
- 37:12Speaker 2: we're mad at you for getting us sick.
- 37:13Speaker 7: There's no winning.
- 37:14Speaker 2: There's no winning. Just don't get sick.
- 37:17Speaker 10: All right, Kelly, thanks for calling in.
- 37:18Speaker 26: Thanks, have a good day.
- 37:20Speaker 9: You too.
- 37:21Speaker 10: Hey, Brittany. What don't you believe?
- 37:23Speaker 14: Hi.
- 37:23Speaker 27: I don't believe that radio hosts actually like the music
- 37:29Speaker 27: they have to play.
- 37:31Speaker 10: You know what? I can tell you what.
- 37:32Speaker 14: Sorry, guys.
- 37:33Speaker 10: We're going to play a song in just a little
- 37:35Speaker 10: bit that I freaking love and I can't wait to
- 37:37Speaker 10: play for you. Probably do it in a minute or two. Okay. Okay?
- 37:41Speaker 7: Sure.
- 37:43Speaker 10: Okay.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I know.
- 37:45Speaker 5: I think there are some songs we don't like.
- 37:47Speaker 11: But for the most part... I like every song we play.
- 37:49Speaker 11: The only time I don't like the song is when
- 37:50Speaker 11: we play it a thousand times. Like if you Mario... Mario,
- 37:54Speaker 11: and I was going to say friggin' Miguel.
- 37:56Speaker 10: Miguel. We were playing Miguel so much, and I was like, enough.
- 37:59Speaker 10: Enough of that.
- 38:00Speaker 5: I think we get sick of the song sooner than
- 38:02Speaker 5: maybe you do.
- 38:03Speaker 27: Because I will be honest, I listen to this channel
- 38:07Speaker 27: just for you guys, because I.
- 38:09Speaker 9: Am not a fan of today's music.
- 38:12Speaker 27: I love you guys so much, though. I know that's
- 38:13Speaker 27: so controversial.
- 38:15Speaker 10: No, okay, hold on. Brittany, let's do a deep dive
- 38:17Speaker 10: on you. How old are you? Okay.
- 38:20Speaker 27: I am 36.
- 38:21Speaker 10: Okay, and what part of town are you in?
- 38:25Speaker 9: Queen Creek.
- 38:25Speaker 10: What kind of car do you drive?
- 38:29Speaker 27: I drive a Pathfinder.
- 38:32Speaker 10: Are you Hispanic, Black, Native American, or other? Other.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Britney and Queen Creek? Total white girl.
- 38:43Speaker 10: Do you have kids? Are you married?
- 38:47Speaker 9: No, I'm married. No kids.
- 38:49Speaker 27: But I am an old school.
- 38:51Speaker 17: That's why.
- 38:53Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 38:54Speaker 10: No, you're right in our demographic. You're perfect. We'll take it.
- 38:57Speaker 10: We'll take you, Brittany.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Don't ever change.
- 38:59Speaker 10: You know what? Hold on. We should get your number,
- 39:02Speaker 10: and whenever we have a question about a segment we
- 39:03Speaker 10: want to do, we run it by Brittany first.
- 39:05Speaker 24: Totally.
- 39:06Speaker 2: She's like, please don't. We need the white lady in
- 39:10Speaker 2: Queen Creek.
- 39:14Speaker 9: I'm going to get some real hate now, guys.
- 39:16Speaker 3: No, you're not.
- 39:17Speaker 5: No, we're saying we will literally take any listener we
- 39:19Speaker 5: can get.
- 39:19Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:21Speaker 2: We appreciate you. You've got to recruit a few friends
- 39:23Speaker 2: of yours, too. We need all the help.
- 39:25Speaker 10: Yeah, throw in some more Mexicans in there, too.
- 39:28Speaker 7: That'd be great.
- 39:29Speaker 14: Oh, my goodness.
- 39:30Speaker 18: There you go.
- 39:31Speaker 27: I will admit, some of the songs you guys have
- 39:33Speaker 27: got me to like, but most, I'm.
- 39:35Speaker 18: Like, eh, did I really like that song?
- 39:39Speaker 10: Okay, listen, I'm telling you, keep it on the radio station,
- 39:42Speaker 10: keep it on KISS, and wait till you hear the
- 39:43Speaker 10: song we're going to play in a minute or two, okay?
- 39:46Speaker 9: Okay, I'll try.
- 39:47Speaker 10: I promise you.
- 39:48Speaker 9: Anything of the two.
- 39:49Speaker 14: Yeah, okay.
- 39:51Speaker 5: I do have.
- 39:51Speaker 9: Another one, too. What do you got?
- 39:54Speaker 27: I don't believe that people actually like Bruno Mars.
- 39:58Speaker 10: I'm so sorry. The guy's selling out arenas. You think
- 40:01Speaker 10: when 50,000, 60,000 people go, he played in New York
- 40:05Speaker 10: last night.
- 40:06Speaker 14: I know.
- 40:07Speaker 7: Brittany, I bet you if you saw Bruno Mars live,
- 40:09Speaker 7: you would become a Bruno Mars fan.
- 40:10Speaker 2: That Super Bowl performance might be the best Super Bowl
- 40:13Speaker 2: performance ever.
- 40:13Speaker 7: Not easy on the Beyonce.
- 40:15Speaker 2: The opposite was better than Bruno. Well, I don't know.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Brittany is entitled to her own opinion.
- 40:21Speaker 7: It's okay.
- 40:22Speaker 2: It's true.
- 40:22Speaker 5: We don't all have to agree on everything.
- 40:25Speaker 7: That's okay.
- 40:26Speaker 19: I know.
- 40:28Speaker 10: I guess you don't want these Bruno tickets then.
- 40:32Speaker 25: I know.
- 40:33Speaker 3: At least she's real.
- 40:34Speaker 5: All right, Brittany.
- 40:36Speaker 10: Thanks for calling in. I really appreciate you listening.
- 40:38Speaker 18: Thanks, guys.
- 40:40Speaker 9: Love your show.
- 40:41Speaker 10: Love your show too. Thank you. hilarious. Here's some text
- 40:45Speaker 10: messages real quick. I don't believe when someone says they're
- 40:47Speaker 10: so hungry they can eat a horse. I don't believe
- 40:50Speaker 10: when people say I didn't sleep last night or haven't
- 40:52Speaker 10: slept in days. Really, after 48 hours, you can just
- 40:54Speaker 10: start hallucinating. Oh, this person says, I don't believe this.
- 41:00Speaker 10: For some reason, I've had several people in the younger
- 41:02Speaker 10: generation tell me they don't believe in Helen Keller. She's
- 41:05Speaker 10: not a unicorn to choose whether or not you believe
- 41:07Speaker 10: she's a real person. I don't understand what people say.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I've heard that a lot.
- 41:10Speaker 7: There's a lot of lore on the Helen Keller stuff.
- 41:13Speaker 7: It's like how?
- 41:15Speaker 5: It's a long rabbit hole.
- 41:16Speaker 10: Yes, it is. Rich, it's not based on how many
- 41:19Speaker 10: tables are unsat. It's about the servers and how busy
- 41:22Speaker 10: they are. That's why.
- 41:24Speaker 2: When I say there's no room for us in the restaurant. Yeah,
- 41:27Speaker 2: I realize that. But what I'm saying is I don't
- 41:28Speaker 2: buy that. I think you could sit people down. John
- 41:30Speaker 2: Jay Rich, I saw all three avatars. I crave a
- 41:32Speaker 2: sparkling water and when I want a treat and I
- 41:35Speaker 2: love working out. Cap.
- 41:37Speaker 5: I don't buy it.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I'm like, that was just a straight up lie.
- 41:42Speaker 10: Julie, what don't you believe?
- 41:45Speaker 27: I don't believe, you know, when you give someone a
- 41:48Speaker 27: helpful tip and they're like, oh, you learn something new
- 41:50Speaker 27: every day. Because you don't learn something new every day.
- 41:54Speaker 28: You just don't.
- 41:55Speaker 19: I don't buy it.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I think I forget a lot of really good advice
- 41:57Speaker 2: every day, though. That's probably true. I forget something every day.
- 42:00Speaker 10: Thank you, Julie. Brenda, what don't you believe?
- 42:06Speaker 14: Brenda.
- 42:06Speaker 15: Hello.
- 42:06Speaker 10: Hello, you're on the air. Yes.
- 42:09Speaker 27: I don't believe when people say, my kids are the best.
- 42:12Speaker 27: They're the sweetest. They never get in trouble. I just go, oh, really?
- 42:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:21Speaker 27: I don't believe it for a second. No way.
- 42:24Speaker 10: Quit lying about your children. Paul, what don't you believe?
- 42:27Speaker 17: I do not believe that elderly should have a license
- 42:32Speaker 17: past a certain age.
- 42:34Speaker 10: Wow.
- 42:35Speaker 15: Hot take.
- 42:35Speaker 10: Where do you cut it off? Where's the elderly?
- 42:37Speaker 17: I'd say past the age of about 77, they should
- 42:42Speaker 17: not be able to drive.
- 42:44Speaker 10: Think they gotta pass a test they should be able
- 42:46Speaker 10: to pass.
- 42:46Speaker 5: A test but 77 can look very different for for people.
- 42:49Speaker 11: Right that's why you should pass a test because i
- 42:51Speaker 11: know like like my father-in-law god bless him he's 89
- 42:54Speaker 11: he hasn't taken a driver's test as he was 16
- 42:56Speaker 11: and he's one of those guys that drives when he
- 42:59Speaker 11: says look over here this car goes that way well
- 43:01Speaker 11: i mean.
- 43:01Speaker 7: That's what the arizona license is they don't Buy her
- 43:05Speaker 7: for so long so you don't ever have to go
- 43:06Speaker 7: back and check.
- 43:07Speaker 10: Take a test after. Just like a pilot. Don't pilots
- 43:09Speaker 10: have to get tests every once in a while? Sure.
- 43:11Speaker 10: I'm kind of on the same page.
- 43:12Speaker 17: They need to pass the test.
- 43:13Speaker 10: Thanks, brother. Thanks for listening. Okay, so we need a
- 43:17Speaker 10: contestant for a minute to win it.
- 43:20Speaker 14: 877-937-1047.
- 43:22Speaker 10: But I do want to play this one song I
- 43:24Speaker 10: was talking about. Obviously, Dolly Parton died yesterday. And I
- 43:27Speaker 10: remember when I was a kid and I was going
- 43:29Speaker 10: to Knox Elementary School in Chandler. And I was listening
- 43:33Speaker 10: to this radio station, which blows my mind. And this
- 43:36Speaker 10: song was like the number one song in the world forever.
- 43:41Speaker 10: And it reminded me when she died, I couldn't help
- 43:43Speaker 10: thinking about it. I've listened to this song on a
- 43:45Speaker 10: constant loop since yesterday. And it's Rolling Stone Magazine said
- 43:49Speaker 10: this is the number one duet of all time. And
- 43:51Speaker 10: I want you to think about this for a second.
- 43:52Speaker 10: When you think about this song, the best way I
- 43:54Speaker 10: was trying to relate it to today's music, it's almost
- 43:57Speaker 10: like if Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars were did a
- 44:01Speaker 10: duet on Shaboosie's The Bar Song. This is a fun
- 44:05Speaker 10: song because I know a lot of people, a lot
- 44:06Speaker 10: of radio stations are probably playing this a lot of
- 44:07Speaker 10: slow music because Dolly Parton wrote a lot of slow music.
- 44:09Speaker 11: But this song is a kick-ass song. And so we'll
- 44:13Speaker 11: just throw this out there for Dolly Parton. You know,
- 44:15Speaker 11: it was a big loss yesterday.
- 44:16Speaker 10: And this is... Islands in the Stream. And sing along
- 44:21Speaker 10: if you want to.
- 44:22Speaker 8: Islands in the stream That is what we are No
- 44:29Speaker 8: one in between How can we be wrong? Sail away
- 44:35Speaker 8: with me To another world And we rely on each other,
- 44:41Speaker 8: uh-huh From one lover to another, uh-huh.
- 44:49Speaker 10: This song was like number one on the country charts,
- 44:53Speaker 10: number one on the pop charts, number one all across
- 44:56Speaker 10: the world in Australia and Europe all at the same time,
- 44:58Speaker 10: which apparently hasn't happened again in a long time.
- 45:00Speaker 11: So anyway, that's rest in peace, Dolly Parton. And we're
- 45:02Speaker 11: going to get more into Dolly Parton in about 45,
- 45:04Speaker 11: 50 minutes. Right now, though, minute to win it. We
- 45:07Speaker 11: got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money.

- 46:20Speaker 2: What mammal is known for laying eggs?
- 46:24Speaker 21: The platypus.

- 46:37Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God.
- 46:43Speaker 21: Oh, my God.
- 46:45Speaker 10: Mary, you might be the smartest person I've ever met.
- 46:48Speaker 14: Wow.
- 46:49Speaker 10: I was out at the smallest ocean.
- 46:51Speaker 2: She just paused on that. She just paused on that
- 46:53Speaker 2: a little too long. And she would have been right there.
- 46:56Speaker 2: I am curious because I was in the middle.
- 46:59Speaker 24: No, Hugh Jackman.
- 47:01Speaker 2: I'm curious, though, because I was starting to ask this question.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I wonder if you would have got it. What marine
- 47:05Speaker 2: mammal can sleep with one eye open?
- 47:08Speaker 19: Oh, an octopus?
- 47:09Speaker 2: Oh, no, that isn't correct. It's dolphin.
- 47:12Speaker 23: Oh, dolphin.
- 47:14Speaker 8: You suck, Mary.
- 47:16Speaker 5: You suck.
- 47:19Speaker 7: Very impressive.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Yeah, very impressive.
- 47:22Speaker 10: Hold on, Mary.
- 47:23Speaker 14: Hold on.
- 47:23Speaker 10: Thank you for playing. Wow, that was crazy. Those were hard.
- 47:27Speaker 2: None of those were super easy. She rocked it.
- 47:30Speaker 10: Emily's calling about stuff you don't believe. What don't you
- 47:31Speaker 10: believe in, Emily?
- 47:32Speaker 18: Hey, so I never believe when somebody is telling.
- 47:37Speaker 20: A story about or just a little silly.
- 47:40Speaker 18: Scenario and they go, you cannot make.
- 47:42Speaker 21: This stuff up.
- 47:43Speaker 27: Like most likely it's part of it or most of
- 47:46Speaker 27: it is made.
- 47:49Speaker 6: Up.
- 47:49Speaker 7: That's funny.
- 47:50Speaker 10: That's pretty good. Thank you. Thanks for calling in. There's
- 47:54Speaker 10: a bunch of, Oh, look, here's a text. Thanks for
- 47:56Speaker 10: making me cry. RIP Dolly Parton. I don't believe that
- 48:00Speaker 10: Drake is a good artist. I don't believe, I don't
- 48:03Speaker 10: believe there are any winners on the I heart contests.
- 48:06Speaker 10: I don't believe that anyone likes the Top Dog commercials.
- 48:15Speaker 10: I don't believe when people say I've never had the flu.
- 48:20Speaker 10: I don't believe Tupac is dead.
- 48:21Speaker 7: I'm with them.
- 48:23Speaker 2: You don't?
- 48:23Speaker 7: I agree. Yeah, he's probably somewhere in Cuba. Although I
- 48:26Speaker 7: do have to say with his murder, like with the
- 48:27Speaker 7: trial going on right now and some of those autopsy pictures,
- 48:30Speaker 7: I was like, ooh.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's him.
- 48:31Speaker 7: He might be gone.
- 48:32Speaker 5: Okay, on that note, I really think I confused my
- 48:35Speaker 5: nine-year-old with... So the kids are like really into Michael
- 48:39Speaker 5: Jackson music. And they're like, is Michael Jackson dead or alive?
- 48:42Speaker 5: And I said, oh, he passed away. I think it
- 48:44Speaker 5: was like 2007 or 2008-ish or something like that. And
- 48:47Speaker 5: they're like, oh, that's sad. I go, you know, some
- 48:50Speaker 5: people have a theory that he didn't really die. He
- 48:51Speaker 5: faked his death. And they're like, what? And I was like, yeah,
- 48:53Speaker 5: there's this video where it shows this person getting out
- 48:56Speaker 5: of the ambulance that kind of looks like it could
- 48:57Speaker 5: have been him walking out. And they're like, what? And
- 48:59Speaker 5: I was like, it's just a theory, though. Some people
- 49:01Speaker 5: believe it. Some people don't. And then we just went
- 49:03Speaker 5: about our day. And it's been like a month since
- 49:06Speaker 5: that conversation happened. And last night, Easton goes, but mom,
- 49:10Speaker 5: Michael Jackson is alive, right?
- 49:11Speaker 7: Oh, no, it was just a theory.
- 49:13Speaker 10: According to the world, he's dead.
- 49:16Speaker 7: Literally, I'm like, you are rubbing off on them early.
- 49:20Speaker 14: Sorry.
- 49:21Speaker 5: He's like, but you showed me that video.
- 49:23Speaker 2: You shouldn't send nine-year-olds down rabbit holes.
- 49:25Speaker 7: You showed them the video of him walking out.
- 49:27Speaker 10: Of the ambulance and now you're wondering why they're confused?
- 49:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:30Speaker 7: No, not Aunt Hesh.
- 49:31Speaker 5: You're thinking of Aunt Hesh.
- 49:32Speaker 10: No, I've seen the video where Michael gets out. There's
- 49:34Speaker 10: the ambulance. And you see the person walk either out
- 49:36Speaker 10: of the building.
- 49:37Speaker 5: There's just a video of them, the Michael Jackson lookalike,
- 49:41Speaker 5: getting out of what would have been the ambulance. They're
- 49:43Speaker 5: just walking him in.
- 49:44Speaker 2: It's not like, it's not graphic.
- 49:47Speaker 10: Hey, Seth, what don't you believe?
- 49:51Speaker 17: People are saying they've seen Bigfoot.
- 49:53Speaker 10: Yeah. Well, that's common. Yeah, but I mean, get a picture.
- 49:56Speaker 10: What I'm saying is that's a common thing that people
- 49:58Speaker 10: don't believe. Like, yeah, of course not. Exactly.
- 50:00Speaker 14: They see a monkey man and they don't think.
- 50:01Speaker 10: To pull out their phone. All right, brother. Thank you. Peyton,
- 50:07Speaker 10: I saw, so you had some pretty good seats at
- 50:08Speaker 10: the Mercury game last night.
- 50:09Speaker 7: Yeah, my friend actually gave me her courtside tickets. So
- 50:13Speaker 7: she came through. I know. They played, the Mercury played
- 50:15Speaker 7: the Washington Mystics. And it was pretty cool because there's
- 50:18Speaker 7: a couple of, like, really good rookies on that team.
- 50:21Speaker 7: But literally, like, towards the end of the fourth quarter,
- 50:25Speaker 7: I'm sitting there with my best friend Kelsey. And we're
- 50:27Speaker 7: watching the game. And on the other end of the court,
- 50:30Speaker 7: we see this, like, neon green thing fly onto the
- 50:36Speaker 7: basketball court. And we literally are like, oh, my gosh.
- 50:40Speaker 7: Is that a sex toy?
- 50:42Speaker 3: And it was.
- 50:43Speaker 7: It was. Somebody took... some kind of toy and threw
- 50:48Speaker 7: it on the basketball field. Why is this a.
- 50:50Speaker 5: Trend at WNBA games?
- 50:51Speaker 2: That's becoming a national story.
- 50:53Speaker 10: I would have jumped on it like a grenade.
- 50:55Speaker 2: They literally immediately.
- 50:56Speaker 5: Took a towel and threw it over it.
- 50:59Speaker 7: It was actually really funny. I got the whole thing happening.
- 51:03Speaker 7: You can see it land on the floor. You can
- 51:05Speaker 7: see the girl cover it up with the towel on
- 51:08Speaker 7: our Instagram, at John Jane, which you can see the post.
- 51:11Speaker 7: It's crazy because this has been a trend. A lot
- 51:13Speaker 7: of people have been sneaking these things in.
- 51:15Speaker 6: Why?
- 51:16Speaker 14: No. What?
- 51:17Speaker 7: I don't know. But I got to tell you, like,
- 51:19Speaker 7: as a WNBA fan, I find it hilarious. I think
- 51:24Speaker 7: it is so funny. It is so childish. I know.
- 51:27Speaker 7: We shouldn't do that.
- 51:29Speaker 2: It's so dangerous.
- 51:30Speaker 10: It's a hazard.
- 51:31Speaker 7: Absolutely. And as soon as it went on the floor
- 51:33Speaker 7: and they got this guy, you heard around the whole arena, like,
- 51:36Speaker 7: the whole spiel of, don't throw things onto court. You
- 51:40Speaker 7: will be removed. You will da-da-da-da.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Why should they have to make that announcement?
- 51:44Speaker 10: I know. There was a... Wasn't there something that people
- 51:47Speaker 10: were throwing tortillas all the time?
- 51:48Speaker 2: Yeah, an octopus for hockey. They were throwing.
- 51:50Speaker 10: What was the tortilla one? Anyone remember that?
- 51:52Speaker 5: I don't remember the tortilla one.
- 51:53Speaker 3: I mean, it's a stupid trend.
- 51:55Speaker 10: Yeah, but the sex toy thing, that's A, I think
- 51:58Speaker 10: those are expensive. B, they don't go off on a
- 52:00Speaker 10: metal detector or anything like that?
- 52:02Speaker 2: Well, I don't know how they are smuggling it in.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Take it home.
- 52:06Speaker 7: Maybe it wasn't metal. Yeah, I don't know.
- 52:08Speaker 10: Oh, I don't know. Oh, is there no... Has to
- 52:12Speaker 10: be metal in there?
- 52:13Speaker 7: I don't think that there's any metal. I think it was... Silicone.
- 52:16Speaker 10: Is it one of those? Was it bouncing around? It's
- 52:19Speaker 10: on our Instagram right now?
- 52:21Speaker 7: Yes.
- 52:21Speaker 10: And it's your point of view?
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 52:23Speaker 7: You can literally see it's neon green.
- 52:25Speaker 2: You can't miss it. I woke up to that headline
- 52:27Speaker 2: on ESPN this morning. It was in the news? Yeah.
- 52:30Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 52:31Speaker 2: It's a big story.
- 52:32Speaker 14: All right.
- 52:33Speaker 2: And Peyton was there.
- 52:33Speaker 14: I was.
- 52:34Speaker 3: And stop doing that.
- 52:35Speaker 10: You know what? This actually fits with what we're going
- 52:36Speaker 10: to get into. So whoever threw that is in the doghouse.
- 52:40Speaker 7: Yes, for sure.
- 52:40Speaker 10: Did they catch the person that did it?
- 52:42Speaker 7: Oh, immediately. Literally, everyone starts going, boo, boo. And they're
- 52:45Speaker 7: pointing at him like the officers all got him all out.
- 52:48Speaker 5: They should be kicked out.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Yeah, they got him swiftly.
- 52:50Speaker 11: In honor of National Dog Day, we want to know
- 52:53Speaker 11: why you're in the doghouse. So call us at 877-937-1047.
- 52:58Speaker 11: We do have, speaking of the Mercury, Diamondback tickets as
- 53:01Speaker 11: our prize. Why are you in the doghouse?
- 53:05Speaker 10: 877-937-1047. We're getting into that next for National Dog Day.
- 53:12Speaker 10: Good morning, Jen. You're on the air. How are you?
- 53:18Speaker 9: Good morning. I'm good. How are you?
- 53:21Speaker 15: Good.
- 53:21Speaker 10: What's up?
- 53:23Speaker 9: So I was listening to the Dolly Parton song you played,
- 53:28Speaker 9: and it was like wrecking my brain. I'm like, I
- 53:30Speaker 9: know the song. I've heard the song. I know what
- 53:32Speaker 9: that song is. So I'm like, but it sounds so familiar.
- 53:37Speaker 9: And I'm like, this sounds so much like ghetto superstar.
- 53:42Speaker 9: And I'm, I called in and I was talking to
- 53:45Speaker 9: Dylan and I'm like, am I like, it sounds so
- 53:49Speaker 9: much like it. Like, I swear, I swear there's songs that,
- 53:53Speaker 9: you know, artists, the covers don't count, but like, you know,
- 53:57Speaker 9: artists battle, they go to bat to each other. They
- 54:01Speaker 9: say they stole each other's songs. But I just was wondering, like,
- 54:07Speaker 9: what's your take of it? And then Dylan and I
- 54:11Speaker 9: looked it up. And before I say what Dylan and
- 54:15Speaker 9: I found, like, what do you think?
- 54:17Speaker 7: If they stole the song?
- 54:18Speaker 10: No, they sampled it.
- 54:19Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, definitely sampled it.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Praz and Wyclef from Fugees.
- 54:24Speaker 9: Yeah, Dylan looked it up and they sampled it. I
- 54:26Speaker 9: was like, what? I didn't know that. And I just
- 54:30Speaker 9: was seeing if there's any songs that... that you know
- 54:32Speaker 9: because because you were just talking about how um you
- 54:35Speaker 9: know the girl said she doesn't buy that radio show
- 54:39Speaker 9: host um like the songs they listen to yeah and
- 54:43Speaker 9: so that got me thinking and i was wondering what
- 54:45Speaker 9: songs do you guys hear all the time that you're
- 54:47Speaker 9: just like man it just sounds just.
- 54:49Speaker 10: Like this song oh that happens all.
- 54:51Speaker 14: The time all the time yeah and a lot of.
- 54:54Speaker 10: Songs are like that they sample other songs drake does
- 54:57Speaker 10: it yeah.
- 54:57Speaker 9: It's just like It's just irrefutable sometimes.
- 55:01Speaker 10: Oh, irrefutable. Okay. Okay. Don't give big words.
- 55:05Speaker 19: I'm saying some of them.
- 55:07Speaker 21: Wow.
- 55:07Speaker 6: Hi.
- 55:08Speaker 15: Hi.
- 55:09Speaker 9: I did win Minutes Winner, so.
- 55:11Speaker 7: Oh.
- 55:12Speaker 10: Oh, you're the Jim Winner.
- 55:14Speaker 7: Oh, smart Jen.
- 55:15Speaker 2: It's smart Jen, everyone.
- 55:20Speaker 5: I had to. I had to.
- 55:21Speaker 9: I had to.
- 55:22Speaker 14: I'm not talking.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I don't know if you heard, but somebody almost came
- 55:25Speaker 2: for your crown today. She got close.
- 55:27Speaker 9: What?
- 55:28Speaker 2: Mary got up to nine.
- 55:29Speaker 17: I want to share my crown.
- 55:30Speaker 9: I want to share my crown.
- 55:32Speaker 19: It's fun.
- 55:35Speaker 10: All right, Jen. Thanks for listening. Happy Dog Day.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Love you guys.
- 55:39Speaker 9: Happy Dog Day.
- 55:40Speaker 10: Yeah, it's National Dog Day today.
- 55:42Speaker 3: Who let the dogs out?
- 55:44Speaker 7: Who, who, who, who?
- 55:46Speaker 19: Who let the dogs out?
- 55:48Speaker 10: Who, who, who, who, who?
- 55:51Speaker 14: Who let the dogs out?
- 55:52Speaker 1: Who, who, who, who, who?
- 55:53Speaker 10: And we got Diamondback tickets, a four-pack of Diamondback tickets.
- 55:56Speaker 10: We want to get into who's in the doghouse right now. Daisy,
- 55:59Speaker 10: for whatever reason, guy or girl, why are you in
- 56:01Speaker 10: the doghouse? Daisy, why are you in the doghouse?
- 56:04Speaker 28: My wife was in the doghouse.
- 56:06Speaker 5: This.
- 56:08Speaker 28: So about a year or two into dating, I decided
- 56:11Speaker 28: to surprise her. She's a country fan, so I got
- 56:14Speaker 28: tickets to a country fan fest. While we were there,
- 56:17Speaker 28: everything was fun. She was like, just don't dance with anybody, whatever,
- 56:21Speaker 28: you know, just don't accept anybody's dancing invitation.
- 56:24Speaker 20: I was like, okay, sure, whatever.
- 56:25Speaker 28: Her main guy, this is Sunday, last day, her main
- 56:28Speaker 28: guy comes on stage. I feel honored to, I mean,
- 56:31Speaker 28: I feel like I went to go get her.
- 56:33Speaker 18: A beer and then.
- 56:34Speaker 28: I come back and she's dancing with somebody else. I
- 56:37Speaker 28: was like, what the heck?
- 56:39Speaker 18: Like, you told me not to dance with anybody.
- 56:41Speaker 28: So I basically just sat down, grabbed my chair, because
- 56:43Speaker 28: it was lawn chair type of thing, and I grabbed
- 56:45Speaker 28: my lawn chair, and I just left.
- 56:47Speaker 16: Oh.
- 56:49Speaker 7: I mean, that's crossing a line.
- 56:51Speaker 5: Doghouse, for sure.
- 56:52Speaker 10: Doghouse, Daisy.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Thank you, Daisy.
- 56:54Speaker 10: Brooke, why are you in the doghouse?
- 56:58Speaker 1: Well, I wasn't in the doghouse, but my boyfriend was.
- 57:03Speaker 1: We played Call of Duty as kids. you know, a
- 57:07Speaker 1: whole lot of other people. And I'm normally the fourth
- 57:10Speaker 1: person on the team and had been for about a week,
- 57:13Speaker 1: two weeks up until my birthday. And then on the
- 57:17Speaker 1: night of my birthday, I just wanted to stay home
- 57:19Speaker 1: and play Call of Duty. And he looked at me
- 57:22Speaker 1: and said, oh, our squad's full, but I'll let you
- 57:24Speaker 1: know when the spot opens up.
- 57:26Speaker 10: I said, when's my birthday?
- 57:28Speaker 1: He said, I'll let you know when the spot opens up.
- 57:31Speaker 1: It was to the point my bonus daughter looked at
- 57:33Speaker 1: me and said, Sue, I need to go download it
- 57:35Speaker 1: so I can play it with you. And I was
- 57:38Speaker 1: just like almost in tears.
- 57:43Speaker 9: Because I'm like, no.
- 57:44Speaker 23: She just walked away and was like.
- 57:46Speaker 1: She just looked like she was about to cry.
- 57:48Speaker 14: It just hurt my heart.
- 57:50Speaker 7: At least she had your back.
- 57:52Speaker 1: So, yeah, he was in the dollhouse for a hot minute.
- 57:54Speaker 27: And I still haven't let him live.
- 57:55Speaker 18: It down, to be honest.
- 57:57Speaker 10: That's good. Thank you, Brooke. 877-937-1047. It's National Dog Day.
- 58:03Speaker 10: Tell us why you are in the doghouse or someone
- 58:05Speaker 10: in your life is in the doghouse. We'll talk to
- 58:06Speaker 10: you after. Bruno.
- 58:07Speaker 7: I'd risk it all for you.
- 58:12Speaker 10: National Dog Day. We thought we'd want to know why
- 58:21Speaker 10: are you in the doghouse? Stacey, good morning.
- 58:25Speaker 21: Good morning, James.
- 58:26Speaker 10: Why are you in the doghouse, Stacy?
- 58:28Speaker 26: I'm not in the doghouse, but my husband is in
- 58:32Speaker 26: the doghouse because 32 years ago on our wedding day,
- 58:37Speaker 26: his groomsman stayed all night with us.
- 58:42Speaker 22: Because he was too cheap to get us a hotel
- 58:46Speaker 22: room on our wedding night.
- 58:48Speaker 2: So everybody was at the house?
- 58:50Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:51Speaker 22: So we just get into bed and I hear this,
- 58:55Speaker 22: pounding on our window and it's his groomsmen and his
- 59:00Speaker 22: girlfriend trying to get in the house so they could
- 59:03Speaker 22: stay all night. because they didn't bother to rent a
- 59:08Speaker 22: hotel room either when they drove three.
- 59:11Speaker 21: And a half hours.
- 59:13Speaker 10: So he's been in the doghouse for 32 years?
- 59:15Speaker 27: Yeah, pretty much.
- 59:17Speaker 22: In fact, I told him you guys were going to
- 59:18Speaker 22: be calling and asking about being in the doghouse. And
- 59:23Speaker 22: He goes, oh, God, now what? And I told him,
- 59:26Speaker 22: and he goes, you're going to just start getting all
- 59:28Speaker 22: mad all over again.
- 59:31Speaker 2: See, he knows you well after all these years.
- 59:33Speaker 9: I am.
- 59:34Speaker 22: Like, I had to get up and go grab a
- 59:35Speaker 22: glass of wine to calm myself down from 32 years ago.
- 59:41Speaker 10: That's a good one, Stacey. 32 years in the doghouse. Josh,
- 59:44Speaker 10: what about you? Who's in the doghouse?
- 59:47Speaker 15: Oh, so it's not me. It's actually a buddy of mine.
- 59:51Speaker 15: But he decided to go out on Mother's Day. And
- 59:54Speaker 15: he took one of his kids with him, and they
- 59:57Speaker 15: went out on Mother's Day. And the mom thought they
- 1:00:00Speaker 15: were going to come back with this great surprise. And
- 1:00:03Speaker 15: he comes rolling up in a brand-new Charger for him.
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: Wow.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: You know, I get why you're passing that around. Because
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: you passing that story around makes you look so much
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: better than him right now.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: That would stick.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it would.
- 1:00:21Speaker 10: Oh, yeah. That's good, Josh. That's good, Josh. Ray, why
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: are you in the doghouse?
- 1:00:29Speaker 23: I'm not in the doghouse yet, but I'm going to be.
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: Okay, why?
- 1:00:34Speaker 23: Because this morning, I.
- 1:00:39Speaker 23: Hit the same pole at qt that my mother-in-law cobbled
- 1:00:44Speaker 23: her car on last week and now i have to
- 1:00:47Speaker 23: tell my husband actually it wasn't even me it was
- 1:00:50Speaker 23: my 15 year old daughter with her permit and he's
- 1:00:54Speaker 23: not gonna want her to drive anymore.
- 1:00:56Speaker 11: Oh my god the same pole which qt what part
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: of town.
- 1:01:01Speaker 23: In north phoenix She's like, it's hereditary.
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: Grandma did it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: That's kind of why it's the same poll at the
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: same QT. Claimed two cars in the family.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: The poll moved them. If it happened twice, you are
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: not the problem.
- 1:01:18Speaker 10: I tell you what, Ray, what if you told your husband,
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: when you tell him, you say, but I did win
- 1:01:21Speaker 10: Diamondback tickets.
- 1:01:24Speaker 18: That would be something.
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: All right, done deal. You got it. We'll give you
- 1:01:27Speaker 10: the Diamondback tickets.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't want you guys getting any more trouble.
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: All right, Ray.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:01:32Speaker 10: You got it. Thanks for listening. Hold on the line.
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: Drive safe. Speaking of driving, Peyton, what is the thing
- 1:01:40Speaker 10: you're talking about on the freeway?
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: Literally so insane. I posted a video on our Instagram
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: at John Jane Rich so you can see exactly what
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: I'm talking about. So on the 101, there is.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: So when you're driving, you know how you have the
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: HOV lane, then you have the regular lane, right?
- 1:01:55Speaker 10: Yeah, of course.
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: So a couple years ago, they said if you have
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: an electric car, then you can drive in the HOV lane.
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: And then I think it was earlier this year or
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: at the end of last year, they said, nope, if
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: you have an electric car, you can't drive in the
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: HOV lane.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: It is why I bought an electric car. It is
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: why I sold my electric car.
- 1:02:09Speaker 10: It was in his setup, right, to get an electric car.
- 1:02:10Speaker 14: Yeah, right.
- 1:02:11Speaker 10: It's so lame they changed that.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: Well, so now they changed it, and now police officers
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: are really putting their foot down on single riders driving
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: in the HOV lane. I was driving to the Mercury
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: game with my brother yesterday, and we look over on
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: the 101, and there is literally HOV checkpoints where officers
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: are pulling people over if you're in the HOV lane.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: But it's only in the lanes where it has that
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: barrier that separates you from the other lanes, so you
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: can't get out there.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Like the double line?
- 1:02:40Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: No, not the double line.
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: It's the one that has those big cement blocks. So
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: once you get over there, you cannot get out.
- 1:02:47Speaker 10: They're pulling over single drivers.
- 1:02:49Speaker 18: Correct.
- 1:02:49Speaker 10: Well, they should.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but in electric cars now, too. So a lot
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: of people probably don't even have that memo yet that
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: you can't go in an electric car because it was
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: a big selling point two years ago.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: They're going to get the memo now.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Truly.
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: And I mean, it was wild. There was literally six
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: different cars pulled over on the HOV lane. And all
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: the cars that have two people, they're just waving you through.
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: But I thought that that was wild to see.
- 1:03:14Speaker 23: Well, good.
- 1:03:15Speaker 10: They're breaking the law.
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: It's like a DUI checkpoint.
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: Literally.
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: But I was like, I cannot believe that.
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: This is happening.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: That's a pretty expensive ticket.
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: Peyton's blown away because she has driven in the HOV line.
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: She's like a single rider before.
- 1:03:28Speaker 14: Right.
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: Like I grew up, I know, I know my freeways
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: out here in Arizona and I have ridden in the
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: HOV line probably every single day that I've driven. But
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: I recently got an HOV ticket and I was like, what?
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: How much is it?
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: They're like 300 bucks, aren't they?
- 1:03:44Speaker 10: You're not supposed to do that.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: It pisses me off.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: It's okay to pull people over.
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: That's one of the reasons there's bumper-to-bumper traffic because these
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: fools in the HOV lane. If you have a carpool
- 1:03:55Speaker 10: and you can go in the HOV lane, you should
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: be able to go. But some fool is in there
- 1:03:58Speaker 10: by themselves going 40 miles an hour, slowing everybody up.
- 1:04:01Speaker 10: Way to go, police. I'm a big supporter of that.
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: Yeah, it's crazy. You can see the video on our Instagram,
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: at John J. and Rich.
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: I was just looking at it.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: I literally was like, oh.
- 1:04:10Speaker 14: What?
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Checkpoints, watch out.
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: You know what?
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Peyton learns the law.
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: I was on all those freeways. I was over on
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: your side of town yesterday. Because I have, in fact,
- 1:04:19Speaker 10: we got a little bit of food news. Do we
- 1:04:21Speaker 10: have the food news intro? Our new food news intro.
- 1:04:24Speaker 10: John Jay and Rich present.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Food News!
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: Since Kyle had something to say about Michelin, there's something
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: going on here with the Michelin star.
- 1:04:31Speaker 14: Michelin.
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: Michelin? Is that not what it is? I don't know
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: what it is.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: They're French.
- 1:04:34Speaker 12: Michelin.
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: Like the really fancy foo-foo restaurants, they, I don't know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: they get a bigger ego when they get Michelin stars.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: It's like a big thing in the food world. It's
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: like one of the highest awards your restaurant can get.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: And Arizona's never really had any Michelin-awarded restaurants until now.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: They've been like secretly... going to all of the fancy
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: restaurants here in Arizona, and tonight they're doing some award
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: ceremony where they may actually, for the first time, award
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: some Arizona restaurants with Michelin stars.
- 1:04:59Speaker 10: So there's not one Michelin star restaurant in this state?
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: Apparently not.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 1:05:03Speaker 11: So I was having dinner with my uncles. I'm half Mexican,
- 1:05:07Speaker 11: and my uncle's from Mexico. They call me.
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: This is how it works when you're Mexican. We're in town.
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: Have dinner tonight. When? In a half hour. They don't
- 1:05:13Speaker 10: say I'm coming to town in a week.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: No, why would they?
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: So I met them for dinner last night, and at dinner,
- 1:05:18Speaker 10: my uncle was telling me, Oh, he was in Thailand
- 1:05:22Speaker 10: and he ate at a Michelin restaurant. And he said,
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: it was a hole in the wall. And I said,
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: I thought those have, you have to be fancy. And
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: he goes, no. And I was like, I didn't know that.
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: I thought that when you hear Michelin in New York.
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: You have to tuck in your shirt.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: That's what I heard too.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: It's like, you know, things you can't pronounce.
- 1:05:35Speaker 10: But I don't know.
- 1:05:36Speaker 11: Like maybe somebody can Google how Michelin works, but I
- 1:05:38Speaker 11: can tell you this. I ate at a restaurant last
- 1:05:40Speaker 11: night that I thought I'd eaten there before, but maybe
- 1:05:43Speaker 11: I'm wrong, but it was absolutely delicious.
- 1:05:47Speaker 10: It was Thai food. And it deserves a Michelin star.
- 1:05:51Speaker 10: And it's called Tyrama. Tyrama? Tyrama. It's in Chandler. I
- 1:05:57Speaker 10: forget how the street is on Dobson or something like that.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Okay, so here's how you get a Michelin star. They're
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: awarded by anonymous Michelin inspectors who visit restaurants. They pay
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: for the meals just like regular customers, so you'll never
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: know who they were. And they judge on five main things.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: Quality of ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques, harmony of flavors,
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: the chef's personality coming through in the food, and consistency
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: over time and across visits. One star is very good cooking,
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: worth a stop. Two stars is excellent cooking, worth a detour.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: Three stars is exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.
- 1:06:32Speaker 10: How does a chef's personality come through on their food?
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Well, you got to be that good. You got to
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: be that good.
- 1:06:36Speaker 10: Because now I'm thinking about my food last night.
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: Their culture could come through.
- 1:06:39Speaker 10: The what? The culture?
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: Their culture could come through.
- 1:06:40Speaker 10: Okay, because I was at a Thai food restaurant last night,
- 1:06:43Speaker 10: and it was delicious, but I couldn't see the chef going... Huh?
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: He comes out juggling.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Hilarious, huh?
- 1:06:49Speaker 10: Do you like the pad thai?
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: It is the tire people, right? Like it's the same
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: people as the tire people.
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: So like if I were going to award something in
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Michelin star, I'd probably say. The churros or the raspberry
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: macaroons at Disneyland. Because, I mean, I don't go to
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: Disneyland very often, but every time I've been there, those
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: are delicious. Every time.
- 1:07:08Speaker 10: I wonder how they could pull that off. So each
- 1:07:10Speaker 10: cart would have a Michelin star. I wonder how they
- 1:07:12Speaker 10: pull that off at Disneyland.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: Or I wonder if some carts are more consistent than
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: the other carts.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they need to make it. The Michelin star needs
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: to be food of the people. Like I would do
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: the bean and cheese burrito at some burros. It's amazing.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: And then that rice is always spot on, too.
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: I would have given the Mexi-Melt a Taco Bell and
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: Michelin star. Then they got rid of it, but now
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: they're bringing it back.
- 1:07:29Speaker 17: It's back.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: Coming back.
- 1:07:30Speaker 10: I swear I feel like there's Michelin stars here.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: I actually thought.
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: I know that there's James Beard award winners here.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a couple of those.
- 1:07:37Speaker 10: And James Bond. Hold on. We might have a Michelin expert. Claudia,
- 1:07:43Speaker 10: what do you know?
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: Claudia.
- 1:07:45Speaker 10: Claudia.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Oh, hi, guys.
- 1:07:48Speaker 14: Hey.
- 1:07:48Speaker 19: So you guys were talking about Michelin stars. And my
- 1:07:52Speaker 19: husband and I got in this debate a little while back.
- 1:07:54Speaker 19: I'm like, oh, they're so foo-foo-y. So I started deep
- 1:07:57Speaker 19: diving where it came from. And a Michelin star actually
- 1:08:01Speaker 19: was a marketing ploy by the Michelin brothers, I believe,
- 1:08:05Speaker 19: in France. And it was for tires.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Yeah, if the tire people think your food is good,
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: then you get a Michelin star.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: It makes sense, though, because if the tire people think
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: it's good, they think you can drive far to get it.
- 1:08:18Speaker 10: Yeah, that's what good tires do.
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: Michelin is upscale.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: That's exactly what it was, Kyle.
- 1:08:22Speaker 19: That's exactly what it was.
- 1:08:23Speaker 10: Maybe we do something for normal food.
- 1:08:24Speaker 27: Basically, they sent out the Michelin guide.
- 1:08:27Speaker 26: Sorry, go ahead, John Jay.
- 1:08:29Speaker 23: My apologies.
- 1:08:29Speaker 19: I have a lag there.
- 1:08:30Speaker 10: No, go ahead. You go.
- 1:08:33Speaker 19: Basically, what they had was in the 1900s, they had
- 1:08:35Speaker 19: a Michelin travel guide, and they found if they started
- 1:08:39Speaker 19: going around and putting restaurants into it, that people would
- 1:08:42Speaker 19: drive further to eat.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like pre-Yelp.
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: Okay, so that makes sense because this is the first
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: year that they've added Arizona to their restaurant guide.
- 1:08:51Speaker 14: Why?
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: So tonight's the night.
- 1:08:52Speaker 10: That makes no sense to me. People have been driving,
- 1:08:55Speaker 10: you've got Route 66 through here. Why wouldn't there be
- 1:08:56Speaker 10: restaurants there? And there's a lot of fancy restaurants here.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Now, more than ever. don't you think?
- 1:09:00Speaker 10: So we should come up with, instead of the Michelin
- 1:09:02Speaker 10: for the Fufu restaurants, we can do the Discount Tire.
- 1:09:04Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Discount Tire restaurant. Tony down with our big old tire.
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: Something like that.
- 1:09:09Speaker 24: Okay, man.
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: Here's the Discount Tire. That's where you put the Taco
- 1:09:12Speaker 10: Bell star. Right. All right, Claudia.
- 1:09:14Speaker 19: Well, it just became like, yeah, sorry. I was just
- 1:09:17Speaker 19: going to say really quick, the restaurant, like literally- It
- 1:09:20Speaker 19: became so popular. That's when they started hiring the anonymous
- 1:09:24Speaker 19: people to go out and give them. And it was
- 1:09:27Speaker 19: a three-star scale. So that's, it was a full-on just
- 1:09:31Speaker 19: marketing ploy.
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: Okay, so Kyle, you're saying they're announcing it tonight?
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:09:36Speaker 10: So tomorrow we will know what is the Michelin.
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: Tomorrow we should know if or how many restaurants in
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: Arizona now are Michelin-starred restaurants.
- 1:09:42Speaker 10: Do we know what restaurants are in the running?
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: I have no idea because they go anonymously, so restaurants
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: don't even know they're being evaluated.
- 1:09:48Speaker 10: But it's got to be... I bet you one of
- 1:09:51Speaker 10: them is that Monarch restaurant.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 1:09:53Speaker 10: Yeah, that's way foo-foo.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: What if it's not just foo-foo restaurants, though? Because the
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: place you went to.
- 1:09:57Speaker 19: But the food isn't good.
- 1:09:59Speaker 10: At Monarch?
- 1:10:00Speaker 19: Like, It's all right. Like, I've never had mind-blowing food there. Like,
- 1:10:04Speaker 19: I went the first time, and I was so excited,
- 1:10:07Speaker 19: and I'm not going to lie. Like, I don't think
- 1:10:08Speaker 19: I had mind-blowing food.
- 1:10:10Speaker 10: Claudia's a food person.
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: I went there.
- 1:10:13Speaker 11: The thing about that restaurant is, I think, it's the
- 1:10:15Speaker 11: personality and the atmosphere. You walk in, and, like, I
- 1:10:17Speaker 11: remember I went there, I think it was for Valentine's Day,
- 1:10:19Speaker 11: and it's, like, a seven- or eight-course meal, and they
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: bring out venison, and they bring out duck-billed platypus, and
- 1:10:26Speaker 11: they bring.
- 1:10:26Speaker 10: Out stuff like that, and you're like, whoa.
- 1:10:28Speaker 18: Whoa.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Claudia, who should get a Michelin star? What's your favorite place?
- 1:10:33Speaker 15: Gosh, okay.
- 1:10:35Speaker 19: So I don't know that I have a favorite place,
- 1:10:37Speaker 19: but I have like favorite meals that I've eaten.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Give us one killer.
- 1:10:44Speaker 19: There was a, oh gosh, it's a small, shoot, I
- 1:10:48Speaker 19: can't remember the name of it. It was a, I
- 1:10:50Speaker 19: said shoot. I didn't say the other one. They had
- 1:10:55Speaker 19: a full on beer pairing with Every meal had mole
- 1:11:01Speaker 19: in it. Everything from the starters all the way through.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: And the chef, it's.
- 1:11:10Speaker 23: In Tempe.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Shoot, I'm not going to remember the name of it.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Your sight's lowered. McDonald's fries needs a Michelin star. They're
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: the best.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: Well, okay.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Well, there's that. Yeah, 100%.
- 1:11:20Speaker 21: The only fries out there.
- 1:11:21Speaker 19: But yeah, I think there's a multitude of out there.
- 1:11:25Speaker 19: But Dante's right in the fact that Monarch is an event.
- 1:11:29Speaker 19: You go and eat there, and it's an entire event.
- 1:11:31Speaker 19: It's not just necessarily the food, but it's everything that
- 1:11:34Speaker 19: goes along with it.
- 1:11:35Speaker 20: But I think Michelin is food-based.
- 1:11:37Speaker 10: Okay, we'll find out. We'll find out. Hold on, Clyde.
- 1:11:39Speaker 10: We'll get your number. I'm excited.
- 1:11:40Speaker 15: All right. Hold on.
- 1:11:41Speaker 10: We'll get your number. We'll call you tomorrow. Let's discuss
- 1:11:43Speaker 10: who got the Michelin star.
- 1:11:45Speaker 19: I can't wait.
- 1:11:46Speaker 23: Yes, I'm excited.
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: Okay, hold on. Dylan, get her number so we call
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: her tomorrow. Get into the Mitchell and stuff. All right,
- 1:11:50Speaker 10: we're going to get some entertainment news next. John Jay
- 1:11:52Speaker 10: and Rich. Get up, get up.
- 1:11:54Speaker 14: From the car to the office.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Wake up with them every morning.
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: John Jay and Rich.
- 1:11:58Speaker 10: All right, let's get some entertainment news. Kyle Payne, what
- 1:12:00Speaker 10: do you guys have?
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: Obviously, it was news heard around the world yesterday. Sadly,
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: Dolly Parton passed away at the age of 80. She
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: had dealt with kidney stones, medical complications, immune and digestive issues.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: She shared some dehydration and dizziness issues. But now we're
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: learning the actual cause of Dolly Parton's death. which she
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: was privately battling cancer before she passed away. Her family
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: says it was a brief battle that she never shared publicly.
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: They still haven't revealed what type of cancer she had,
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: but said she died surrounded by loved ones. She was
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: so prepared for this moment that years ago, she actually
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: asked her nephew, who served as the head of her security,
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: his name was Brian Seaver, to record the video announcement
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: of her passing.
- 1:12:39Speaker 16: This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years
- 1:12:41Speaker 16: ago before I fully absorbed it as a future reality.
- 1:12:44Speaker 10: It is an honor.
- 1:12:45Speaker 16: an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness.
- 1:12:48Speaker 16: But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly. Dolly has
- 1:12:52Speaker 16: lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus,
- 1:12:54Speaker 16: surely met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who
- 1:12:58Speaker 16: have watched her and longed for her to meet them
- 1:13:00Speaker 16: in the heavens.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: So in one very Dolly detail, he also shared that
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: Dolly had asked to be buried in a beautiful bed
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: of plush cotton because after a lifetime of wearing those
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: heavy rhinestones, she deserved to finally be comfortable.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Oh, that's awesome.
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: Now, before her passing, she was actually asked how she
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: would want to be remembered.
- 1:13:20Speaker 29: I want them to think about everything I did. I
- 1:13:22Speaker 29: want them to appreciate all the things that I appreciated
- 1:13:25Speaker 29: getting to do. Of course, I love to write songs,
- 1:13:28Speaker 29: but I also love to sing them. And I like
- 1:13:30Speaker 29: to get out in.
- 1:13:31Speaker 17: Front of people.
- 1:13:31Speaker 29: So I just want them to remember me. I'm very
- 1:13:33Speaker 29: proud of the Imagination Library. That's one of the things
- 1:13:36Speaker 29: I'm proudest of. But I'm proud of everything that I've
- 1:13:39Speaker 29: been able to accomplish. So I just want to be
- 1:13:41Speaker 29: remembered as Dolly and whatever that entails.
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: That bio on her that she's part of, 3,000 songs
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: she wrote sold over a hundred million records. There's nobody
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: that's ever going to eclipse that.
- 1:13:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: I kept seeing yesterday. It's like everyone was posting about her.
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: It's like, I think she was the one person left
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: that literally everybody loved. So sweet. And part of that
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: imagination that she talked about that she wanted to be
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: remembered for was Dollywood. She, you know, that was something
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: she thought up and they made this reality. And They
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: actually revealed, like, a couple years ago, she was on
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: Jimmy Fallon, and she said that she has left us
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: a gift for after she passes away. It's something she
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: recorded and is now actually buried at Dollywood.
- 1:14:26Speaker 29: Well, I'm glad that people love me, but I'm... They
- 1:14:29Speaker 29: asked me if I would write a song that nobody
- 1:14:32Speaker 29: would ever hear.
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: I'll be dead, gone.
- 1:14:35Speaker 29: I wrote a song, and I put it in the
- 1:14:37Speaker 29: box to be open, and so I don't know what
- 1:14:39Speaker 29: they'll do with it, but I have regretted that because
- 1:14:42Speaker 29: it was.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: A really good song.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: And I keep.
- 1:14:44Speaker 25: Wanting them to let me dig it up and put
- 1:14:46Speaker 25: something else in it that's not.
- 1:14:48Speaker 29: As good, but if any of you are around.
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: When they open that box, well, I hope you enjoy
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: my song.
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: Supposedly they weren't allowed to dig it up till 2045
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: and I don't know if there was like a stipulation
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: in there that if she passed away before then that
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: we'll be able to hear it sooner than 2045 but
- 1:15:05Speaker 5: either way she left that for us and I'm sure
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: once whenever they do release that it's gonna be it's
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: gonna be huge did you see.
- 1:15:10Speaker 10: The there's a I saw a bunch of clips off
- 1:15:12Speaker 10: on her obviously one was where so she wrote I
- 1:15:14Speaker 10: will always love you right the song that Whitney Houston
- 1:15:17Speaker 10: made to smash but it was also number one twice
- 1:15:19Speaker 10: with her and I guess she wrote it and At
- 1:15:22Speaker 10: one point, Elvis Presley wanted to record it. And she said, absolutely.
- 1:15:27Speaker 10: So do you know the story?
- 1:15:28Speaker 15: No.
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:15:28Speaker 11: So Elvis Presley, absolutely. You can record it. So she's
- 1:15:31Speaker 11: telling all her friends and family that Elvis.
- 1:15:33Speaker 10: Is going to record. I will always love you. And
- 1:15:35Speaker 10: this is like in the seventies.
- 1:15:36Speaker 11: And then she gets a call the night before Elvis
- 1:15:38Speaker 11: is going to record it from Colonel Tom Parker. And
- 1:15:40Speaker 11: Colonel Tom Parker says, Hey, you know, Elvis can record
- 1:15:44Speaker 11: your song tomorrow. She says, yeah, I can't wait.
- 1:15:45Speaker 10: But you know, everything Elvis does, he gets half. If
- 1:15:48Speaker 10: he didn't write it, he gets half the writing credit.
- 1:15:50Speaker 10: She's like, oh, I wrote that song. It's already been
- 1:15:52Speaker 10: a number one song for me. She goes, so I
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: thought Elvis cutting it was just going to be Elvis
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: cutting it. He's like, no, no. Elvis gets half the publishing.
- 1:16:00Speaker 10: And she said, I'm sorry. I'm not going to do that.
- 1:16:03Speaker 10: And freaking, he pulled it. She said, I'm not going
- 1:16:07Speaker 10: to let you do that. And so Elvis didn't record
- 1:16:09Speaker 10: the song. But when Elvis got a divorce from Priscilla,
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: He sang that song to Priscilla, I Will Always Love You,
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: on the day of their divorce. Cut to Kevin Costner
- 1:16:20Speaker 10: calls her and says, I want to do a movie
- 1:16:22Speaker 10: with Whitney Houston called The Bodyguard.
- 1:16:24Speaker 11: I want to use your song, I Will Always Love You.
- 1:16:26Speaker 11: Can Whitney record it? And she goes, yes, but I
- 1:16:29Speaker 11: want the publishing. He goes, you can have all the publishing.
- 1:16:31Speaker 11: Whitney doesn't care. She just wants to cut your song.
- 1:16:34Speaker 11: And that song became, and she made billions off of
- 1:16:36Speaker 11: Whitney's version.
- 1:16:37Speaker 10: Isn't that cool?
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: That's amazing. That's really, that's so special. Actually, I was
- 1:16:41Speaker 5: like doing the deep dive of Dolly Parton yesterday, watching
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: all these interviews of her. And they were like, do
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: people ever underestimate you because of like how you look?
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: You know, you're this little tiny, petite, big, big boot
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: blonde girl. Like that was like her thing, you know?
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: And she was like, I actually love it when they
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: do that because I look like a woman, but I
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: think like a man in business. And before they can
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: realize that, I'm already gone with the money.
- 1:17:01Speaker 14: Good for her.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: I love that.
- 1:17:03Speaker 23: I know.
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: Okay, really quickly, Hollywood is giving us some major nostalgia
- 1:17:08Speaker 7: in big moves because Ryan Gosling has signed on to
- 1:17:10Speaker 7: produce a new live-action Flintstones movie with Warner Bros. So
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: Paramount is also putting out a How to Lose a
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: Guy in 10 Days sequel. That's an early development Kate
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: Hudson is supposed to produce. And then over on the
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: TV side, Coco Jones, she is going to star in
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: a brand new Bel-Air spinoff titled Hillary, which is going
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: to follow her character's move to New York. And then
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: Lauren London is officially cast as Snoop Dogg's mom, Beverly Tate,
- 1:17:33Speaker 7: in his new biopic that's coming out.
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: So that's fun i know i was like she's gonna
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: crush it but did you guys ever watch the stranger
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: things tales from 85 no a lot of people did
- 1:17:44Speaker 5: but they just announced they're gonna do a season two
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: of that too and i'm actually really excited did you
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: guys see the trailer that they released for brothers it's
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: the matthew mcconaughey woody harrelson show oh my gosh actually
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: it's really fun so they it's like it looks like
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: it's going to be hilarious because matthew mcconaughey plays matthew mcconaughey.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Are you really Matthew McConaughey?
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: Because I am.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Would you sleep with my girlfriend?
- 1:18:07Speaker 17: No, I will not.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Can I tell people that you do? No, you cannot.
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: So have you ever heard the theory that they're actually
- 1:18:15Speaker 5: brothers in real life? So they literally turn that into
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: a TV show. So they play fictional characters of themselves
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: figuring out that they're actually brothers.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: I think that's going to be hilarious.
- 1:18:25Speaker 11: We got Tame Impala tickets. Tim and Paul is coming
- 1:18:28Speaker 11: to Mortgage Matchup Center, and to be there, you've got
- 1:18:30Speaker 11: to win our game, Noise Machine, so we need a
- 1:18:32Speaker 11: contestant at 877-937-1047.
- 1:18:33Speaker 10: Chewy, what's up? You're on the air. Good morning.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 1:18:38Speaker 24: I want to give you guys a big thank you
- 1:18:41Speaker 24: for the tickets to the game last night.
- 1:18:44Speaker 15: My kids loved it.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: My wife loved it.
- 1:18:46Speaker 10: We all loved it. What a game, too, right?
- 1:18:48Speaker 24: Yay.
- 1:18:49Speaker 18: Right?
- 1:18:50Speaker 23: Time we're kind of like ah the kids like it's
- 1:18:51Speaker 23: cool it's cool we're.
- 1:18:52Speaker 24: Here whatever enjoying dad's time and then eighth anywhere they
- 1:18:57Speaker 24: got into it my daughter's kind of like whatever baseball
- 1:18:59Speaker 24: man she was all into it those diamondbacks.
- 1:19:01Speaker 10: It was it was Yeah.
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: I mean, I like the D-backs are so exciting to
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: watch right now because they're like right behind the Padres.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: They're this close to getting into the National League playoffs.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: And all we need to do is get a couple
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: more wins in San Diego. So it's really exciting. And
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: that game, like the walk-offs to run Homer, that's just bananas.
- 1:19:20Speaker 5: So I'm really glad that you were there for that one.
- 1:19:22Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:19:23Speaker 24: And then also my wife was like, you know, at
- 1:19:25Speaker 24: least we got free tickets.
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: It'd be nice.
- 1:19:27Speaker 24: We thought you guys were going to put us up,
- 1:19:29Speaker 24: and no, you guys put us right up there.
- 1:19:31Speaker 14: It was awesome.
- 1:19:32Speaker 10: Damn straight, dawg. Damn straight, dawg. Come on now.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: We kept trying to catch those foul balls.
- 1:19:36Speaker 14: It was like we had the gloves. There you go.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Come prepared.
- 1:19:40Speaker 10: What an experience. I hope you took pictures. Send us pictures, man. Oh, yeah, definitely.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: I definitely will.
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: All right, Chewie, thanks for calling in, man. Anyway, we're
- 1:19:46Speaker 10: going to play Noise Machine.
- 1:19:47Speaker 29: 877-937-1047.
- 1:19:47Speaker 10: We'll do it after Shawn Mendes.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: Hey, by the way, today is.
- 1:19:54Speaker 11: National Dog Day. So happy dog day. I said happy
- 1:19:57Speaker 11: good morning dog day to all my dogs this morning.
- 1:19:59Speaker 11: And just a side note, Love Pup Family Fest is
- 1:20:03Speaker 11: November 7th.
- 1:20:04Speaker 10: So save the date. November 7th, Love Pup Family Fest,
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: 4 p.m. It's on a Saturday. We haven't announced the
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: artist yet, but we will shortly. For dog day. Happy
- 1:20:14Speaker 10: dog day. And when you get a chance looking to
- 1:20:16Speaker 10: adopt a dog, go to Love Pup Foundation on Instagram.
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: And Vertuccio Farms.
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: Oh, is that Vertuccio Farms? Thank you, Nick. Yes, Vertuccio Farms.
- 1:20:23Speaker 17: Nayeli.
- 1:20:23Speaker 10: Is that how you say your name?
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: Nayeli?
- 1:20:26Speaker 28: Yes, it is.
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: Well, welcome.
- 1:20:29Speaker 7: Hi, good morning. Good morning, Nick.
- 1:20:31Speaker 10: What game are we playing today, Nick?
- 1:20:33Speaker 13: You guys are playing a very special edition of Noise Machine.
- 1:20:35Speaker 13: I like to call it Noise Machine, colon. That's my dog.
- 1:20:39Speaker 23: Uh-huh.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: I'm quizzing you guys on famous dogs.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Oh, that's fun.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: Throughout history and pop culture.
- 1:20:46Speaker 10: For Dog Day?
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: For Dog Day.
- 1:20:48Speaker 10: See?
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: We'll start with John Jay.
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: We can count on you. To be.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: I know we'll catch that villain.
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: Scooby-Dooby-Doo.
- 1:21:00Speaker 14: Where are you?
- 1:21:01Speaker 10: That's the old school song. Yeah, Scooby-Doo.
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: Good job, John Jay. One point already in this game.
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: Our dog expert, you might say.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: All right. Rich, do you need a break from modern living? Okay,
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: that's the one that talks.
- 1:21:17Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: Pluto doesn't talk, but Goofy does. That's Goofy.
- 1:21:21Speaker 13: Goofy does talk, and that is the correct answer. One
- 1:21:24Speaker 13: point for Rich Barra in this game. Peyton, who sings this?
- 1:21:28Speaker 10: Isn't that like.
- 1:21:32Speaker 7: The Baja Men or something like that? Is it? Is
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: that their name?
- 1:21:35Speaker 14: Is it?
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: Yeah, it's like Baja Boys, Baja Men, Baja Boys.
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: You got to commit one way or the other.
- 1:21:39Speaker 7: I'm going to go Baja Boys.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: Baja Boys?
- 1:21:41Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:21:42Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: We were looking for Baja Men, so sorry, Peyton.
- 1:21:45Speaker 10: No points.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: In round one, you should have went with your gut.
- 1:21:48Speaker 7: You should have just given it to me. You would
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: have given it to Kyle, John Jay, or Rich.
- 1:21:52Speaker 10: But that's fine.
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: That's how it works. We'll see.
- 1:21:53Speaker 10: Well, Kyle, John Jay, Rich would have said Baja Men.
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: Well, that's because you know who Baja Men is.
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: No, I don't.
- 1:21:58Speaker 7: The point is that Nick said the rules for everyone.
- 1:22:01Speaker 10: You said it, and then you lost your confidence. Like,
- 1:22:03Speaker 10: have your answer and go.
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: I hear you, but I'm just saying he rigs the games.
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: Can you name any of the Baja Men?
- 1:22:08Speaker 10: He doesn't rig the games.
- 1:22:09Speaker 17: Was it Ricky?
- 1:22:10Speaker 10: You had the answer.
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: I wouldn't have gotten that.
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: It's fine. Continue.
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: Kyle, you would have gotten it. Let's see if you
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: can get this one.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: I have just met you, and I love you.
- 1:22:21Speaker 8: Squirrel.
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: Dog.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: Dog. Dog the dog. From up. Way to go, Kyle.
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: John Jay, one point.
- 1:22:28Speaker 10: Rich, one point.
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: Kyle, one point.
- 1:22:30Speaker 10: Nayeli?
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: Oh, that's from.
- 1:22:37Speaker 23: Blue's Clues.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Blue's Clues. Blue's Clues.
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: Way to go.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: One point. Round one.
- 1:22:43Speaker 13: We have a three-way tie. We'll head into round two.
- 1:22:46Speaker 13: It gets super hard. John Jay, you go first.
- 1:22:49Speaker 10: Go, fellow canine.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: Be free and enjoy life.
- 1:22:55Speaker 10: Maybe that's why he was tied up. Is that Brian
- 1:22:57Speaker 10: from Family Guy?
- 1:22:58Speaker 13: Brian Griffin. Yeah, there we go. John Jay, two points.
- 1:23:01Speaker 13: Takes commanding lead. John Jay, or Rich, which dog is this?
- 1:23:05Speaker 10: It's definitely a no from me, dog.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: That is Randy Jackson. Randy Jackson, yeah.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: From American Idol. All right, Rich. Ties up John Jay.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Peyton.
- 1:23:17Speaker 29: Bite this guy in a wiener.
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: Is that from Beethoven?
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: It is, in fact, from Beethoven. Way to go, Peyton.
- 1:23:27Speaker 7: I loved that movie.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: See, way to go. You had confidence in that answer.
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: You got it right.
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: Kyle.
- 1:23:35Speaker 15: Law.
- 1:23:37Speaker 17: Law.
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: Would that be top dog law?
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Top dog law.
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: All right, Kyle, two points.
- 1:23:46Speaker 13: I will issue four points if we can get this correct, Nylee.
- 1:23:52Speaker 7: That is Snoop D-O-double G.
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: Way to go.
- 1:24:01Speaker 13: She's going to go see Tame Impala.
- 1:24:04Speaker 11: All right, Nylee, hold on a line. We're going to
- 1:24:06Speaker 11: set you up. I was just looking over at Dolly Parton's,
- 1:24:09Speaker 11: some information on Dolly Parton. She had 25 number one hits.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 1:24:13Speaker 10: 25 number one hits.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: She got like 13 Grammys, something like that too. That's
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: also impressive.
- 1:24:17Speaker 10: I know there's Jolene, I Will Always Love You.
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: 9 to 5.
- 1:24:21Speaker 10: Here We Come Again, 9 to 5.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Here We Come Again.
- 1:24:24Speaker 10: I love 9 to 5.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: 9 to 5 is a slapper.
- 1:24:26Speaker 7: That just makes my toe tap.
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: How could it not?
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: And you know what? The message holds true today.
- 1:24:31Speaker 10: I Will Always Love You.
- 1:24:32Speaker 15: I know.
- 1:24:33Speaker 10: And then Islands in the Stream. And then- Code of
- 1:24:36Speaker 10: many colors? I don't see that on here as number one.
- 1:24:40Speaker 10: You always pick something that's not the code. In 2005,
- 1:24:44Speaker 10: she had a number one hit with Brad Paisley. When
- 1:24:46Speaker 10: I get where I'm going with Brad Paisley, don't know it.
- 1:24:48Speaker 10: But anyway, Dolly Parton. Kyle, what's kind of the three
- 1:24:52Speaker 10: things you need to know?
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: Okay, this is pretty awesome. The future is here and
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: it's not far away in a different country. It's coming
- 1:24:58Speaker 5: right here to the United States for the Olympics. I'll
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: tell you what I'm talking about next with John Jay
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: and Rich. Coffee in hand, earbuds on John.
- 1:25:11Speaker 18: Jay and Rich.
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: Mornings.
- 1:25:12Speaker 11: I know this is kind of morbid because Dolly Parton died,
- 1:25:14Speaker 11: Hayden Penn and Terry died. And then he was like,
- 1:25:17Speaker 11: it usually happens in threes. He's like, do you think
- 1:25:19Speaker 11: we should get into that? And I don't think I
- 1:25:21Speaker 11: answered you. And now somebody just died.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: Who?
- 1:25:23Speaker 10: Just now, Tim Curry. Actor Tim Curry, 80 years old,
- 1:25:26Speaker 10: just died. You know him from Rocky Horror Picture Show,
- 1:25:29Speaker 10: from Home Alone 2. It.
- 1:25:30Speaker 29: It.
- 1:25:31Speaker 10: He's Pennywise?
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: The original Pennywise.
- 1:25:33Speaker 10: He's in a bunch of movies, and he just died.
- 1:25:36Speaker 10: So that's three.
- 1:25:36Speaker 7: That's so sad.
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: So sad.
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: It does come in threes, though.
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: Every time. Isn't that weird?
- 1:25:42Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: And that was so quick, too. Usually I feel like
- 1:25:45Speaker 7: it might take a couple weeks, but this has all been, like,
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: within the last ten days.
- 1:25:48Speaker 6: Boom, boom, boom.
- 1:25:49Speaker 11: I was going to bring this up, too, when you
- 1:25:50Speaker 11: brought that up, because I was going to say yesterday
- 1:25:51Speaker 11: I was at the gym working out, and it was
- 1:25:53Speaker 11: this girl's birthday, Tara.
- 1:25:54Speaker 10: It was her birthday.
- 1:25:55Speaker 11: And there was a big celebration for her during her birthday,
- 1:25:57Speaker 11: and there was balloons and cake and donuts, and everyone.
- 1:25:59Speaker 10: Was having a good time. And then.
- 1:26:01Speaker 10: All the alerts went off that Dolly Parton died. I
- 1:26:03Speaker 10: was like, oh wow, Dolly Parton died on your birthday.
- 1:26:05Speaker 10: And immediately I thought of, on my birthday, I remember
- 1:26:07Speaker 10: Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, died on my birthday. And
- 1:26:10Speaker 10: I was really bummed that he died on my birthday.
- 1:26:13Speaker 10: And I started thinking, I wonder if there's a, I
- 1:26:14Speaker 10: know this is sad, but I wonder, like, who else,
- 1:26:17Speaker 10: what celebrity died on your birthday?
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: I know it's morbid, but for some reason I thought
- 1:26:20Speaker 11: it was really interesting. I'll just throw it out there.
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: Because you'll never forget the day that celebrity passed out.
- 1:26:25Speaker 10: Every time my birthday, I think of Steve Irwin, the
- 1:26:27Speaker 10: Crocodile Hunter.
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: And if you felt like an emotional connection, like everyone
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: loves Steve Irwin, so when he went, I mean, hearts
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: were broken for everyone.
- 1:26:34Speaker 5: I know, I know.
- 1:26:35Speaker 11: And then my dad, I remember my dad emailed me,
- 1:26:37Speaker 11: and he was like, hey, Steve Irwin just.
- 1:26:39Speaker 10: Died on your birthday. I'm like, I know dad.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: So that was his headline?
- 1:26:42Speaker 10: Something like that. I mean, I'm sure we talked earlier
- 1:26:43Speaker 10: that day. Anyway, Kyle, what are three things we need
- 1:26:45Speaker 10: to know?
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: So Meta is now going to have to fork over $ 16.
- 1:26:48Speaker 15: 7 billion.
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: This is to settle the massive fight over what Facebook
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: and Instagram may be doing to kids. And what I
- 1:26:58Speaker 5: thought was interesting is Arizona was one of the states
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: suing them. It's actually one of the states involved and
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: helped push for this change. So it's not just about
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: the money. Meta has agreed to put time limits on
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: teen accounts, block them during certain nighttime hours, do more
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: to verify kids' ages, and give parents more controls. So
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: if the judge signs off on this, the way your
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: kids use Instagram and Facebook could actually start changing within months.
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: The changes will come very quickly.
- 1:27:22Speaker 7: So where does that $ 16. 7 billion go to?
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: That's a good question. What will they actually use it for?
- 1:27:28Speaker 5: It will go split up to the states, but what
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: will the states use it for?
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: Not totally sure.
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: Interesting.
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: If your teenager takes an Uber, I've always wondered, like,
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: you know, like, I guess it's, you know, sometimes last-ditch effort.
- 1:27:39Speaker 5: You got to get them somewhere. You put them in Uber.
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: You don't feel safe doing it, but Uber wants you
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: to feel safe doing that because you could actually watch
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: them now. They're rolling out a new feature that's going
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: to let parents watch the ride live through the driver's phone.
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: So you'll get a notification when the video is available.
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: You could check in on the ride whenever you want.
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: Uber says they are rolling this out nationwide over the
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: next few weeks. So if your team does take the Uber,
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: you can literally watch the ride from start to finish
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: and make sure they got where they needed to go.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: Would you do that, Kyle?
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: I don't think I could ever put my kid in
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: a stranger's car.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure you would watch if you did, right?
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: You would watch the whole ride.
- 1:28:15Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: I don't think I would. I mean, I'm like, it's
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: like at some point you got to.
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: Oh my gosh. I'm like, my mom would have 100%
- 1:28:21Speaker 7: throw me in an Uber.
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: I know. It's actually a flaw. Like, I'm too much
- 1:28:26Speaker 5: of a helicopter mom. There's no way.
- 1:28:27Speaker 10: I don't think that's being a helicopter mom. Not putting
- 1:28:30Speaker 10: a kid in an Uber. I think that's okay.
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: But again, like I said, for some people, it's not
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: even an option. You got to get them somewhere.
- 1:28:37Speaker 10: You put your six-month-old in there in the car seat.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: At least you put it in the car seat. That's
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: being a good parent.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: Okay, LA traffic during the 2028 Olympics sounds like it's
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: going to be an absolute nightmare because the LA traffic
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: comparison is already a nightmare. But they are trying to
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: find solutions and they have found one. Just fly over
- 1:28:58Speaker 5: the traffic.
- 1:28:59Speaker 7: Just fly over it.
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: A futuristic air taxi was unveiled in downtown L.A., and
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: they have plans for landing spots all over the city
- 1:29:07Speaker 5: at SoFi Stadium, USC, Burbank Airport. The one thing holding
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: them back at this point is they still need FAA approval,
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: but the goal is to actually have these things flying
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: people around L.A. in time for the Olympics in 2020.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: Let me guess. Are they driverless air taxis? What could
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: possibly go wrong?
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: I would not get in a driverless air taxi. there
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: would need to be a human being operating that machinery.
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: Okay you guys are looking at these stories all wrong
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: now we have so many ways to get around that's
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: right i do it if they do get faa approval
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: which i'm so interested because it's the whole flying car
- 1:29:42Speaker 5: thing it's like how do they figure out how cars
- 1:29:45Speaker 5: aren't going to just fly into planes right like that
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: flying to each other yeah exactly so we'll have to
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: wait and see how that one pans out but like
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: that's 2020 that's like.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: Right around the They're going to drop you off in
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: a pool somewhere.
- 1:29:56Speaker 18: I know.
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: Like the Amazon things.
- 1:29:58Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: That's three things you need to know.
- 1:30:00Speaker 10: Peyton, did you say that you had some quotes from
- 1:30:03Speaker 10: Dolly Parton that were important?
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:30:04Speaker 7: Like these were some quotes that Dolly Parton said that
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: people should live by. So one of them, never ignore
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: your roots, your home, or your hair.
- 1:30:15Speaker 10: That's good.
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: Which could also be your roots.
- 1:30:17Speaker 10: Which could.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: She covers a lot there.
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: This one's my favorite. A loose tongue can lead to
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: broken teeth.
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: Which she definitely loves. Another reason why she was so loved.
- 1:30:29Speaker 29: Totally.
- 1:30:29Speaker 7: If you want the rainbow, you got to put up
- 1:30:32Speaker 7: with the rain. It's a good one.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: Okay, a couple more.
- 1:30:36Speaker 7: It costs a lot of money to look this cheap.
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: That's excellent.
- 1:30:39Speaker 14: Excellent.
- 1:30:40Speaker 7: I was like, I feel like Serena Carpenter is living
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: by that rule right now, and I love it for her.
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: And then the last one is, I will never harden
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: my heart, but I've toughened the muscles around it.
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: Oh, I like that one.
- 1:30:50Speaker 7: Me too.
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: That's pretty good. Rest in peace, I pardon.
