- 0:13Speaker 1: It's I Do Part two. I'm one of your celebrity mentors,
- 0:16Speaker 1: Jen Fessler from the Real Housewives of New Jersey and
- 0:19Speaker 1: the podcast Two Jersey Jays, and I am once again
- 0:22Speaker 1: joined by my dear friend, fellow mentor and housewives along
- 0:25Speaker 1: Kelly Bensimon, Hike, Shan Hi, and today we have an
- 0:31Speaker 1: incredible guest. You guys have watched her. It's true. It's true.
- 0:34Speaker 1: She's giggling, but she knows it's true. You guys have
- 0:36Speaker 1: watched her for years on the Real Housewives of Orange County,
- 0:39Speaker 1: where she is so loved, she has loved and she
- 0:42Speaker 1: has lost, and now she's opening up herself to love again.
- 0:45Speaker 1: On Bravo's Love Hotel, of course, we are talking about
- 0:48Speaker 1: the one and only Shannon shut the door Door. Wow, Hi, Shannon, Hi,
- 0:56Speaker 1: how are you? We're so happy to see you.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Yellow survive jendad not get the memo.
- 1:00Speaker 1: It's now it's fun to No, Yes, they're both of
- 1:03Speaker 1: these beautiful women are in yellow and yeah, we are
- 1:06Speaker 1: so exciting. Kelly and I keep talking about the fact
- 1:08Speaker 1: that we are expectations for Love Hotel. For whatever reason,
- 1:12Speaker 1: maybe because there are so many dating shows. Love Hotel
- 1:16Speaker 1: has far exceeded my expectations. Kelly, you say the same thing.
- 1:20Speaker 2: And also I was on a dating show and I
- 1:23Speaker 2: was and this you guys. First of all, you look
- 1:25Speaker 2: like you're having so much fun. You are having so
- 1:27Speaker 2: much fun. We had Ashley on. I love her so much.
- 1:29Speaker 2: You're obviously with when and you know Giselle, who is
- 1:33Speaker 2: dropped dead gorgeous. So you guys are having the best time.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And then you have all your friends come on as well,
- 1:38Speaker 2: I mean, and then you have like all these different
- 1:41Speaker 2: things that happen, you know, episode to episode that are
- 1:44Speaker 2: so good. It's really great.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It's fun, it's fun to watch.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really fun. And you look gorgeous.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Oh, thank you very much.
- 1:52Speaker 2: No really, and I'm not really big with the compliments.
- 1:55Speaker 2: You look really really, really spectacular.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I can tell you that first of all,
- 2:02Speaker 1: the place I love Grand VELAs. That hotel is beautiful.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Oh you've been.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I've been there. I've been there, and they have three
- 2:07Speaker 1: different locations. It's an all inclusive. That's all we used
- 2:10Speaker 1: to go to with our kids because they're Gavones. I
- 2:13Speaker 1: think that is the expression. I'm a govone, I should say. Also, anyway,
- 2:16Speaker 1: a bone. When you just eat, They just eat and
- 2:18Speaker 1: they have no concept when they were little, like oh,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I have a virgin mud slide, and like each virgin
- 2:22Speaker 1: mudslide is you know, fifteen dollars. So we'd decided on
- 2:25Speaker 1: all inclusives.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It's so much better.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But anyway, this is not about my kids. Yes, but
- 2:30Speaker 1: we want to talk about what's going on over there,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and I am dying to no secrets. I know you're
- 2:34Speaker 1: probably not gonna be able to disclose, but what happened
- 2:37Speaker 1: with ear All?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Wait before we talk about what happened with e All?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Can I just can I just set the stage. If
- 2:43Speaker 2: you have not watched Loved to Hotel, you have to
- 2:45Speaker 2: watch Love Hotel because the way that you come across
- 2:50Speaker 2: on Love Hotel is spectacular. And I really want to
- 2:55Speaker 2: know what happened worth All. We definitely want to know that.
- 2:58Speaker 2: But before we get into that, why did you want
- 3:01Speaker 2: to go on Love Hotel?
- 3:02Speaker 3: Well, you know, I was asked to go a couple
- 3:06Speaker 3: months before, and I think I replaced somebody, so I
- 3:10Speaker 3: wasn't in the initial initial cast, but I got a
- 3:15Speaker 3: DUI and it was a really difficult year for me,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and so I made about to focus on myself and
- 3:21Speaker 3: I didn't date, and I'm a relationship girl, like I
- 3:25Speaker 3: usually not single and not a big dater, and so
- 3:29Speaker 3: I thought, this is kind of like perfect timing. It's
- 3:33Speaker 3: been a year. I've been single for a year, and
- 3:36Speaker 3: let me try. What I thought too, is like, Okay,
- 3:39Speaker 3: who am I going to meet that's going to want
- 3:42Speaker 3: to be in our television show. I've been down that
- 3:44Speaker 3: road before, whether you say, oh, I don't want to
- 3:45Speaker 3: be famous.
- 3:46Speaker 1: And then you know they want to about that.
- 3:49Speaker 3: So I said to myself, I'm just going to go
- 3:53Speaker 3: and have fun. You really didn't expect to have, you know,
- 3:58Speaker 3: a connection with it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: That's probably the best way to go into any situation.
- 4:01Speaker 1: If you're dating, I would say, like is have no experts,
- 4:05Speaker 1: expect probably to not meet anyone, and expect to just
- 4:08Speaker 1: make friends, and then you become everything is that the
- 4:12Speaker 1: stakes are so much lower and you can relax, have
- 4:15Speaker 1: a good time and here we are.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Well, it's it's insane. The friendships that I have maintained
- 4:21Speaker 3: since the show. The guys are really tight. They have
- 4:25Speaker 3: a regular really I think once a month.
- 4:30Speaker 2: You can see that they were really Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 3: The first eight guys they call themselves the lead eight and.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That's really cute.
- 4:37Speaker 3: So I see I see quite a few of them,
- 4:40Speaker 3: and the girls especially, we have this bond, you know,
- 4:44Speaker 3: we were we called it a little bit of a
- 4:45Speaker 3: social experiment because we didn't really know what we were
- 4:48Speaker 3: walking into, you know, being the first season.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Did you know the girls?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Well, so I did Project Runway with Giselle and Luanne,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and of course we've met through the years, right and
- 4:58Speaker 3: they met Ashley briefly. So we just you know, we
- 5:01Speaker 3: really enjoyed each other. We supported each other, We laughed
- 5:05Speaker 3: a lot, and you know, it's we have a great one.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I think that was part of it is it was
- 5:10Speaker 1: so refreshing to see a group of housewives. There was
- 5:13Speaker 1: no drama. Drama maybe with the guy whatever, but there
- 5:17Speaker 1: was simply camaraderie and like the sisterhood. It was really cool.
- 5:20Speaker 3: It was fun to watch, Thank you, Yeah, it was.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's so different than from what we see normally.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Well, I think also what I like about the show
- 5:28Speaker 3: is that we're older, so we're not just some young
- 5:31Speaker 3: people that everyone has a story. So I think there
- 5:35Speaker 3: was just a little.
- 5:35Speaker 1: We talked about that with Ashley. At least, I feel
- 5:37Speaker 1: like we are more interested maybe in like as opposed
- 5:40Speaker 1: to The Bachelor. We love the Golden Bachelor. Yes, that's
- 5:43Speaker 1: a whole other topic. Yes, for a different episode. We
- 5:45Speaker 1: did love that show. But I think that I'm loving
- 5:48Speaker 1: shows about with dating at my age, even though whatever,
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'm not single. But you know, it's I think the
- 5:57Speaker 1: characters quote unquote are so much more complex and interesting.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And I'm sure that young people don't feel that way,
- 6:03Speaker 1: but for someone like me and everybody I know, I
- 6:06Speaker 1: love watching you come to the table with all your
- 6:07Speaker 1: baggage and all of their baggage and knowing yourself so
- 6:11Speaker 1: much better than we did when we were twenty one.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Thing I thought too that I really loved is that
- 6:16Speaker 2: you were sitting there and you said, I don't like
- 6:19Speaker 2: to date. I like to be in relationships. Can you
- 6:21Speaker 2: talk to that?
- 6:22Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I'm going to say today, I'm liking
- 6:27Speaker 3: being single, and that's for me, that's growth because I
- 6:33Speaker 3: always identified with the relationship that I was in. You know,
- 6:37Speaker 3: I like only having to worry about myself right now
- 6:40Speaker 3: and making choices for my.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Same man's sister.
- 6:43Speaker 3: So that's kind of nice. Yeah, you know, after the
- 6:48Speaker 3: Love Hotel, you know, I well, I can't. I can't
- 6:52Speaker 3: say anything.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well you can. As soon as the mics go off.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Right exactly soon as the myco off, We're gonna have
- 6:58Speaker 2: like an after doog. So when you were on the show,
- 7:01Speaker 2: was it like going on the show? Was it like
- 7:05Speaker 2: a revenge for you? Or you were just like, Okay,
- 7:07Speaker 2: now I'm going to show everyone, like, obviously, how great
- 7:10Speaker 2: you look. Obviously like you have the most incredible demeanor.
- 7:13Speaker 2: You're like the loveliest human. Like I literally I was
- 7:16Speaker 2: like almost crying last night when I was watching you.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, You're just such a
- 7:20Speaker 2: giving human, like choked up. I was really impressed. So
- 7:27Speaker 2: was it like a revenge for you? Were we trying
- 7:28Speaker 2: to prove something like?
- 7:29Speaker 3: No, no, you know a real house. I was of
- 7:32Speaker 3: Orange County last season was airing when we filmed the show,
- 7:37Speaker 3: and you know, it was a lot. It was hard
- 7:39Speaker 3: to watch back last season for me. So it was
- 7:42Speaker 3: an amazing distraction for me to be in Mexico for
- 7:46Speaker 3: almost a month.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Distraction not destruction.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Distraction. Yeah yeah, So I'm not I'm not focusing on
- 7:52Speaker 3: Orange County. I'm just going to have a good Well.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I will tell you that although you weren't in it
- 7:56Speaker 1: for the revenge. I feel like a lot of the
- 7:58Speaker 1: viewers that love you, we're very satisfied by this whole experience,
- 8:02Speaker 1: and they experience and they got their events, So you
- 8:05Speaker 1: did good work.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I have to go back to that one scene again
- 8:09Speaker 2: because it's just like my one of my favorite scenes
- 8:11Speaker 2: where you are sitting there with Earl in your bedroom
- 8:15Speaker 2: or on the couch, and you know, it seems to
- 8:18Speaker 2: the viewer and you're going to be like, here's your note, thanks,
- 8:21Speaker 2: but no thanks, and then you dropped this amazing bomb
- 8:26Speaker 2: and I just was I just thought that the time
- 8:29Speaker 2: and the effort that you put in to that was
- 8:32Speaker 2: just so thoughtful.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Oh thank you, you know.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And then the dynamic change, it was like a shift.
- 8:38Speaker 2: It was like all of a sudden, it was like pivot.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Right right, because we were kind of in an iffy
- 8:43Speaker 3: spot and I feel bad about the vegetables comment. But anyways,
- 8:48Speaker 3: but wait why I came across a little bit harsh
- 8:54Speaker 3: and Earle and I had a banter like we would
- 8:56Speaker 3: tease each other. So in my head when you said
- 8:59Speaker 3: I don't eat vegetable, and I'm I thinking, oh, got
- 9:01Speaker 3: to add that to the earl list.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know, I listen, it came out. It came out
- 9:07Speaker 1: like it was just both of you don't at that point,
- 9:10Speaker 1: didn't know each other well enough, and so the band
- 9:12Speaker 1: to no one knows who's being serious, who's being cutting,
- 9:15Speaker 1: Maybe she's not, maybe he's not. And it felt like
- 9:17Speaker 1: you guys just missed the mark.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Well. I mean, he there was much more to the conversation,
- 9:23Speaker 3: but he said all he needed to do, and I
- 9:26Speaker 3: explained this to him at the table. All you needed
- 9:29Speaker 3: to do is lean in and say, hey, I feel
- 9:31Speaker 3: like you're criticizing me. I would have said, oh, I'm sorry,
- 9:34Speaker 3: I didn't mean to do that, and then it would
- 9:35Speaker 3: have ended like it wouldn't have got to this big place.
- 9:39Speaker 1: In you know, you guys were you guys were in
- 9:42Speaker 1: it and out of it.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Though I didn't think that I would be crying on
- 9:46Speaker 3: the show, but I do a couple of times.
- 9:48Speaker 2: So but that's so great too. I thought, you're really
- 9:51Speaker 2: let your guard down. I mean, you know, again, like
- 9:53Speaker 2: back to Jen's comment about being you know, watching a
- 9:56Speaker 2: Real Housewives, is that you know everyone's guard is so up,
- 10:00Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like everyone feels like a
- 10:01Speaker 2: cat in the corner. But you guys are really like
- 10:04Speaker 2: the camaraderie between all of you guys, like the relationship
- 10:08Speaker 2: between like them, like with the way and like how
- 10:10Speaker 2: she's befriending these guys and like basically telling them what
- 10:13Speaker 2: to do. I feel like you have really good advice though,
- 10:16Speaker 2: I feel like you're like the advice girl.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Well, I mean, thank you. I it was when I
- 10:22Speaker 3: met Earl. He was not my first choice, but I
- 10:27Speaker 3: liked Ralph from.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Like just like seeing all of them.
- 10:32Speaker 3: He's more my type. But Earle was so vulnerable and
- 10:37Speaker 3: talking about his wife had passed away and you know,
- 10:40Speaker 3: and how he'd wanted to have kids. And then as
- 10:44Speaker 3: we went on another date when Ralph didn't pick me,
- 10:48Speaker 3: you know, he was talking about the step son that
- 10:50Speaker 3: he had and all he wanted to do was have
- 10:52Speaker 3: children and he wasn't able to and that broke my heart.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, I mean that's very you've had that. Actually
- 10:58Speaker 1: you're in the middle of this dating show and that's
- 10:59Speaker 1: what you're thinking about, right, So which is that is?
- 11:02Speaker 2: I don't know you, but I love you.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I love that.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I'm like everyone knows I'm like Shannon's biggest fan president
- 11:09Speaker 2: fan Club.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I mean i'm vice president.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yes, Well do I know her longer? I'm av I
- 11:16Speaker 2: know her longer.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yes. So I didn't see you with Earl when you guys,
- 11:20Speaker 1: when it first started happening, I was like, I'm not
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm not feeling this. I don't see it. I don't
- 11:24Speaker 1: understand how this is. I can't see the connection. Not
- 11:27Speaker 1: that it matters what I see, but I just wasn't
- 11:29Speaker 1: feeling it for you guys. And but I will say that, like.
- 11:32Speaker 2: It seemed very cold. He didn't. You're very warm, and
- 11:35Speaker 2: he seems.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Just so different, just so different. You and you guys
- 11:37Speaker 1: called him simple, which I wonder if he took offense
- 11:39Speaker 1: to that.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Bye.
- 11:40Speaker 1: By the way, Earl, I know you mean the best way.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Pearl called himself simple. By the time he would say
- 11:45Speaker 3: I'm a simple man, in my response would always be
- 11:47Speaker 3: I'm not a not so simple girl.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You know, though, I will tell you this, I watched it,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and I thought a lot of in a way my
- 11:54Speaker 1: own relationship because my husband is also a simple man.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I hope he's not listening. He might admit it. I
- 12:01Speaker 1: don't know, but he really is. He is simple. He
- 12:03Speaker 1: is simple. My husband is so easy to please, So
- 12:06Speaker 1: go with the flow. There's no drama. Does that mean
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm interested? No, it doesn't. Sorry, Cal, I have to
- 12:13Speaker 1: rethink my whole philosophy. But my point is that, like,
- 12:16Speaker 1: sometimes you need just that sort of I think at
- 12:19Speaker 1: this point in my life, if something would happen between
- 12:22Speaker 1: me and my husband, I would want peace and I
- 12:23Speaker 1: would want simple I don't need. I am such a
- 12:26Speaker 1: right freaking mess and like in whatever in a nice way,
- 12:30Speaker 1: I suppose, but I really am a hot mess, and
- 12:32Speaker 1: I'm always my anxieties and my issues, and I would
- 12:35Speaker 1: want a man who I could just lean not and
- 12:37Speaker 1: who is a rock and solid, And I think that
- 12:41Speaker 1: would attract me.
- 12:42Speaker 2: You're not dating, but you're looking for a relationship. And
- 12:44Speaker 2: you have the most beautiful daughters. And I always say,
- 12:46Speaker 2: and Jenna and I say this together is like we
- 12:49Speaker 2: always judge said, I don't like to judge people, but
- 12:52Speaker 2: I judge mothers. Like if you have great kids, then
- 12:55Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, you've put the time and the effort
- 12:56Speaker 2: into your children. And your daughters are lovely, thank you,
- 13:00Speaker 2: so well mannered, well raised, so ell agaant just beautiful.
- 13:04Speaker 2: So they're dating. You're dating, did you guys talk about
- 13:08Speaker 2: dating at home over like Sunday dinner.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Like no, not really. But they were horrified that when
- 13:15Speaker 3: I said it was going to be on the show,
- 13:18Speaker 3: because they're like, mom, you could embarrass us.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And listen, those girls have been through a lot. I
- 13:24Speaker 1: mean I could see that they are. They probably also
- 13:26Speaker 1: want you to pick someone just for the peace of
- 13:28Speaker 1: it all.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Right, right, well they want I think at one point
- 13:31Speaker 3: Sophie says, I want someone that will take care of
- 13:36Speaker 3: my mom.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that, which is so sweet.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah about crying.
- 13:42Speaker 3: You know, they're great. They're great girls, and you know,
- 13:44Speaker 3: I I'm sure I did embarrass that might tell them
- 13:47Speaker 3: that's my job as a mother.
- 13:49Speaker 1: They came on the show, I mean they must have
- 13:51Speaker 1: had I'm sure that they were amazing. Yeah, they were amazing.
- 13:54Speaker 1: And they also they came and they came on though
- 13:57Speaker 1: you didn't have to I'm assuming been there in their arm.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Did they want to come on the show.
- 14:02Speaker 3: And I mean, I'm they were appro so they did.
- 14:06Speaker 3: I have another daughter that was living in Paris. I
- 14:08Speaker 3: was too far for her to count, right, but I
- 14:10Speaker 3: would have had all three there.
- 14:12Speaker 2: So what do you think was like the best question
- 14:14Speaker 2: that they asked, you.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Know, I think it's do you think that you could
- 14:22Speaker 3: deal with my mom's world?
- 14:24Speaker 2: I remember that scene.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Okay, so how do I put this tactfully? If he
- 14:29Speaker 1: was the type of guy who had a six pack
- 14:31Speaker 1: and was tan, would it have bothered you? Because in
- 14:34Speaker 1: my view, you're on a boat, you know, everybody is
- 14:37Speaker 1: takes off their shirt, and I saw that you were
- 14:39Speaker 1: a little bothered. And I it's not a nice question,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but I can't always be nice. So was it partially
- 14:44Speaker 1: that you just you thought that because he was an
- 14:47Speaker 1: older man without you know, the bronze or off.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I'm a little more buttoned up than other people. I'm
- 14:58Speaker 3: pretty conservative, so but I Ralph did have his shirt
- 15:03Speaker 3: unrettoned as well. Applause to earle that he feels comfortable
- 15:07Speaker 3: enough to have a shirt. And I wasn't the only
- 15:09Speaker 3: one commenting, but he was also.
- 15:11Speaker 2: He was he had his shirt open and was dancing.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I saw a little yeah movie.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I mean, I get it. I'm not saying that.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah, All is a big personality, you know, and I
- 15:21Speaker 3: just I didn't want to really, you know, do the moves.
- 15:25Speaker 1: No, listen, there's cringe. There's always a cringe. Fact when
- 15:27Speaker 1: you're getting to know someone and you're on high alert
- 15:30Speaker 1: for that. So I do absolutely get that. I think
- 15:33Speaker 1: I felt it was a little cringey too. But I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: just asking you because I'm picturing if, like, what's the
- 15:39Speaker 1: gorgeous guy that Ashley was, what's his name, walle Walle
- 15:43Speaker 1: waleh without his shirt on? Would have seemed very natural
- 15:46Speaker 1: to me, you know what I.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Mean, I understand what you're saying.
- 15:50Speaker 2: My take was that he felt really comfortable with you
- 15:53Speaker 2: at that time, and so he was just like loving
- 15:56Speaker 2: life and that's what my take.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Was, and comfortable with everyone else income to go with
- 16:00Speaker 3: the cameras filming.
- 16:01Speaker 1: And oh my god, and by way be comfortable.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I didn't remember doing a confessional and saying like whatever,
- 16:15Speaker 3: all the stuff that, but making all the comments about it.
- 16:18Speaker 1: You know, it's funny because when you watch back confessionals,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I mean, you guys have both done it way more
- 16:22Speaker 1: than I have. But I always am like so hard
- 16:26Speaker 1: on myself and the stuff that comes out of mind,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I shouldn't have, I couldn't have, a wouldn't have, And
- 16:29Speaker 1: the truth is, like from I think when I'm watching,
- 16:32Speaker 1: like I didn't see it as that harsh at all
- 16:34Speaker 1: show like I don't.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just being honest.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, And I appreciate that because like in all my confessionals,
- 16:40Speaker 2: from like day one, I was I've always been like
- 16:42Speaker 2: just totally honest, absolutely, like you know, if you like
- 16:46Speaker 2: me or you don't like me, I'm just going to
- 16:47Speaker 2: tell the truth.
- 16:47Speaker 3: This is how it's It's funny. I think it was
- 16:50Speaker 3: my third season. We had a new producer and he
- 16:53Speaker 3: was asking me the questions for the confessional and I
- 16:56Speaker 3: answer right away, and then my right leg would tap
- 16:59Speaker 3: and he goes, what's with the leg tap? And the
- 17:02Speaker 3: cameraman said, that's what Shannon does. And it's because I
- 17:05Speaker 3: answer right off the cuff, I don't think about what
- 17:07Speaker 3: I'm saying, and then afterwards I'm like, oh god, what
- 17:09Speaker 3: did I say that sentence apart? Sometimes they'll do that.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Well, that's why you've been a housewife for this long? Yeah, exactly,
- 17:16Speaker 1: you have. Well there are many reasons, but you haven't.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You know, you don't edit yourself.
- 17:19Speaker 2: So everyone's watched out for Shannon's leg tap. That's like,
- 17:32Speaker 2: let's talk about dating advice. Who gives you the best
- 17:36Speaker 2: dating advice? Is it your friends, your daughters, like, who
- 17:39Speaker 2: do you think gives you like the best?
- 17:41Speaker 3: I don't really, I don't. I don't know because I don't.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I don't really date, I mean relationship. You know that.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I I know that. For me, I'm looking for someone
- 17:54Speaker 3: I don't have a lot this laundry list of things
- 17:57Speaker 3: I need. I want to be with someone that has
- 17:59Speaker 3: a kind heart, that is intelligent and funny because I
- 18:04Speaker 3: like to laugh, and has strong family values and successful.
- 18:08Speaker 3: It's not we're too old all of us. My mantra
- 18:12Speaker 3: is I can contribute, but I cannot take on any
- 18:16Speaker 3: new bodies.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I love that.
- 18:18Speaker 3: So you know I'm gonna take that.
- 18:21Speaker 1: No, listen, in an ideal world, I think, I mean,
- 18:26Speaker 1: it'd be great. I'm sure to have the load lightened
- 18:29Speaker 1: as well, right, I mean you carry a lot of course.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean I've been single now for you know,
- 18:35Speaker 3: I think eight years so and I take care of
- 18:38Speaker 3: myself LANDA seven. You're a yeah, can.
- 18:42Speaker 1: You fathom like actually enjoy the process of dating like
- 18:45Speaker 1: I think if I was single right now, I could
- 18:46Speaker 1: I could enjoy it? Oh?
- 18:48Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 18:49Speaker 2: I have just super outgoing though.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So I mean I'm not going with like what your
- 18:54Speaker 2: things like, I'm outgoing with things that I have to do.
- 18:56Speaker 2: But if it's my choice of all choices, I'll be
- 18:59Speaker 2: home like watching Love Hotel like.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Me too, And I hear that, so what I but
- 19:04Speaker 1: like maybe because I feel like I am older and
- 19:07Speaker 1: so it's like it's probably not gonna work lists. Just
- 19:09Speaker 1: have a good time. Maybe we'll end up friends. Maybe
- 19:11Speaker 1: you'll know someone, maybe I'll know someone for you.
- 19:13Speaker 2: That's what you gave me, that advice. Actually, yeah, it's
- 19:15Speaker 2: good advice. Thank you.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Oftentimes.
- 19:19Speaker 3: No, I mean, I just I I have never been
- 19:23Speaker 3: I don't I don't believe I've ever been a priority
- 19:26Speaker 3: in a relationship. So I want to be someone's priority.
- 19:31Speaker 3: You know, they can of course have children, but I
- 19:34Speaker 3: like that the children.
- 19:35Speaker 1: That's what you're talking about either. I'm sure you're talking
- 19:37Speaker 1: about like being made to feel important and yeah, yeah.
- 19:41Speaker 2: I mean I can completely empathize with that. And you know,
- 19:46Speaker 2: you're such a beautiful mother, and I'm like, I'm actually
- 19:48Speaker 2: it's getting it's making me emotional because you are such
- 19:51Speaker 2: a beautiful human and I can tell by your kids,
- 19:53Speaker 2: and you know, I also have felt like that for
- 19:56Speaker 2: so long, Like I'm always like I just want to
- 19:58Speaker 2: be the priority. I want the person to be like
- 20:00Speaker 2: you're my person, right like I was always the wife,
- 20:03Speaker 2: always taking care of everyone, always making sure everyone had everything,
- 20:06Speaker 2: did everything right. So I completely empathize with you, and
- 20:10Speaker 2: I'm sorry that you feel like that, and.
- 20:13Speaker 3: You're a main character. You are a main character, right right, right,
- 20:16Speaker 3: thank you. I mean, it's it's all good. And you know,
- 20:19Speaker 3: of course I want to grow old with a partner
- 20:23Speaker 3: and be part of a team. Of course I want that.
- 20:26Speaker 3: But if I don't, you know what my life is.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever been happier, and I've been single, yes,
- 20:32Speaker 3: I mean I was in such a dark place after
- 20:34Speaker 3: my duy I didn't think that I would crawl out
- 20:37Speaker 3: of it. And that's when I know I met you, Jenna.
- 20:40Speaker 3: It was like a month or two two months after,
- 20:42Speaker 3: just right after it happened.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And you were almost considered not even going to Brava
- 20:45Speaker 1: Kanu or not.
- 20:45Speaker 3: They didn't want they didn't want me to go okay,
- 20:48Speaker 3: and I convinced them I don't want to hide behind
- 20:50Speaker 3: a rock. I want to address this head on, which
- 20:52Speaker 3: is so and so take accountability for what happened. And
- 20:56Speaker 3: I'm again like I say this all the time. There's
- 20:59Speaker 3: not a day that goes by where I don't we
- 21:01Speaker 3: live that day and thank God that I didn't hurt anyone.
- 21:04Speaker 3: You know, I've learned so much about myself and I'm
- 21:06Speaker 3: in a good place. So if I don't get that partner, uh,
- 21:10Speaker 3: and I spend the rest of my life visiting my
- 21:12Speaker 3: three girls and their future families, I'm good.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Oh no, no way to manifest when you get that partner.
- 21:19Speaker 2: When not, it's like no, no, all positive.
- 21:22Speaker 3: You know what I like? I as the new year hit,
- 21:25Speaker 3: I said, I want to I'm going to focus continue
- 21:28Speaker 3: to focus on me and to make for me to
- 21:33Speaker 3: feel comfortable in my own skin and feel comfortable being
- 21:36Speaker 3: on my own. It's a big deal for me.
- 21:38Speaker 1: So do you like being alone?
- 21:40Speaker 3: I didn't before, but it's kind of sometimes it's kind.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Of nice, welcomed. Sometimes I love being alone. No, I
- 21:47Speaker 1: think that that's also part of what the good stuff
- 21:49Speaker 1: that comes from aging is like, right, I love.
- 21:53Speaker 2: On yourself to be spend time with yourself. Yeah, but
- 21:56Speaker 2: you know, I've not necessarily alone. It's like loving yourself
- 21:59Speaker 2: to like.
- 22:00Speaker 1: It's like not having anybody to answer to get out
- 22:02Speaker 1: of here. Even my kids like there gone by. I
- 22:04Speaker 1: like to just like have the house do my thing
- 22:07Speaker 1: on my schedule.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll sleep in like, oh, I don't have to
- 22:10Speaker 3: get out.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Or answer to anyone, and nobody's looking at you saying
- 22:13Speaker 1: why are you sleeping inso late?
- 22:15Speaker 2: Or so? Who did you get along with the best?
- 22:18Speaker 2: Was it Giselle, Jazelle.
- 22:20Speaker 3: And Ashley? All of them?
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:22Speaker 3: Really all of them, but Gizelle and actually have known
- 22:25Speaker 3: each other for years and they have this relationship. So
- 22:28Speaker 3: I think that of all the women, I spent most
- 22:31Speaker 3: most of my time with Luinn, but I love all
- 22:34Speaker 3: all the girls.
- 22:35Speaker 1: You just had to, Yeah, you had. There's something. There
- 22:37Speaker 1: was a great energy between the four of you, and
- 22:39Speaker 1: it was devoid of housewives, which was really really cool.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Nobody was trying to get anybody, nobody was right. Everybody
- 22:46Speaker 1: just seemed to me at least, like it was just
- 22:49Speaker 1: love and support.
- 22:50Speaker 2: And I'm actually glad that you and Luanne spent a
- 22:53Speaker 2: lot of time together and got a long while because
- 22:55Speaker 2: she is such a great wingman and she's such a
- 22:58Speaker 2: great cheerleader as well.
- 23:00Speaker 1: She is I'm sure she is all of that, but
- 23:03Speaker 1: we are. I'm sorry what is going on with her
- 23:05Speaker 1: what's with the ring? Shannon?
- 23:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Come on, come on now, I'm going to see her later.
- 23:10Speaker 1: This I can't take it. I have to know the
- 23:14Speaker 1: group chats going.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I have this this Real Housewives group chat. Isn't she
- 23:17Speaker 2: on it? So?
- 23:18Speaker 1: What is going on? Sad?
- 23:20Speaker 2: I love the ring? It's a stunner.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Well, Shannon is not going to tell me. You're going
- 23:23Speaker 1: to tell me.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Crickets after that? I just like, I love that ring.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's beautiful.
- 23:31Speaker 3: No, okay, all right, I don't know she's not engaged.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I mean it would it would have been like Sarah Page.
- 23:39Speaker 1: It would have been like great pr for the show. Right,
- 23:41Speaker 1: she's all of a sudden wearing a ring. I mean
- 23:43Speaker 1: if I was me and I hadn't watched the show
- 23:44Speaker 1: and I saw Lwayne walking around with the ring, I
- 23:46Speaker 1: would immediately tune in, right right? I mean it's smart.
- 23:51Speaker 1: But I love the one guy that.
- 23:52Speaker 3: She I forget Mark Mark.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yes, Mark, very sweet, funny yeah from New
- 24:03Speaker 1: York to tell us so one with that? Yes?
- 24:05Speaker 3: Okay, So I was with Mark last night and he
- 24:08Speaker 3: told me that he asked you, what an aw date? Kelly?
- 24:10Speaker 2: He did?
- 24:10Speaker 3: Excuse me?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Actually, that's incorrect. I took Lewande's advice, and Luanne told
- 24:17Speaker 2: me she goes Kelly Darling, when you're going to a
- 24:20Speaker 2: bar and you see a lot of gorgeous men, write
- 24:23Speaker 2: down in the note a little question and send it
- 24:25Speaker 2: with the bartender. So I was like, okay, So I
- 24:28Speaker 2: did it, and it was Mark. He comes, get the
- 24:31Speaker 2: hell out of here, like literally one hundred percent.
- 24:34Speaker 3: He went out a couple of times.
- 24:35Speaker 2: He went at once he came over, he came over
- 24:38Speaker 2: to me. We were talking and then he's like, yeah,
- 24:42Speaker 2: I'm on Love Hotel. I have, you know, a bevy
- 24:45Speaker 2: of children. I lived, and I'm in real estate and
- 24:48Speaker 2: my house is pink. And he's a very funny guy
- 24:51Speaker 2: on the show. Just like, what are you doing?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Jesus, Well, here's a problem. Also now that he's like,
- 24:57Speaker 1: by the way, another spoiler alert here and now and
- 25:00Speaker 1: he's gone out with Kelly. We didn't work out with
- 25:03Speaker 1: leu Anne.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Yeah, well next week it'll be pretty clear.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Oh okay, So whenever those airs, well.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Wait, don't tell me, don't tell me. I'm like, I'm
- 25:13Speaker 2: so invested in he is.
- 25:15Speaker 3: So he's so funny though, when he that couch and
- 25:19Speaker 3: said I'm back, and then yes, I love it.
- 25:22Speaker 1: It was it was so adorable.
- 25:24Speaker 2: What about when he goes in an interview, They're like,
- 25:27Speaker 2: what do you think of Andy Cohen? He goes, who's
- 25:29Speaker 2: Andy Cohen?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Oh?
- 25:30Speaker 3: He says, the broker, Oh my god, the.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Broker, outfit, the whole thing like that, but he has
- 25:37Speaker 2: great hair.
- 25:37Speaker 1: What about you?
- 25:38Speaker 3: And we're friends and you know I I will tell you.
- 25:44Speaker 2: You saved him though you brought him back.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I did, and I'm the one that gave James the key.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Thank you man. She because right now in the show,
- 25:54Speaker 3: she and James are enjoying each.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Listen, I love Luanne so much, like literally, I am
- 25:58Speaker 2: her rider die. But when that she and James saying,
- 26:01Speaker 2: I'm just like, no, you.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Guys, what was it? The one liner? Love love Hotel,
- 26:06Speaker 1: Love hotel? You know that's showing up on our cabare
- 26:10Speaker 1: when I'm in a bad mood. By the way, if
- 26:11Speaker 1: I'm this is true, why can.
- 26:13Speaker 2: We not sing?
- 26:14Speaker 1: Well? I don't know what is going on, what the
- 26:16Speaker 1: tune was, but I will tell you that when I'm
- 26:18Speaker 1: in a bad mood, and that it is oftentimes that
- 26:20Speaker 1: I am, I will pick up my phone and I
- 26:22Speaker 1: will go to TikTok and I will search Luannella sept
- 26:25Speaker 1: and watch her do that cabaret and everything is right
- 26:28Speaker 1: in the world when I see her.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I love what I'm getting. When I were getting ready,
- 26:32Speaker 2: I always do like it's the Countess speaking.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I was telling we did that, TikTok.
- 26:36Speaker 2: We did?
- 26:36Speaker 1: We did?
- 26:37Speaker 2: We did?
- 26:37Speaker 1: I love watching her do that. Yes, anyway, we even
- 26:40Speaker 1: though my name is Kelly, So okay, moving on, we
- 26:44Speaker 1: have diverted, Let's talk about Uh, I'm having fun. I
- 26:49Speaker 1: always I know it.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Actually I can just sit here and talk about I
- 26:51Speaker 2: know what I know.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I know, I know it so well. Kelly, I actually
- 26:54Speaker 1: want you to take this question right now because we
- 26:57Speaker 1: already spoke about you and Mark, and there seems to
- 26:59Speaker 1: be something in your life that I know nothing about.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And I heard vaguely about something this morning, and I'd
- 27:05Speaker 1: like to get to it and maybe you could discuss
- 27:06Speaker 1: it with Shannon's. You ain't discussing it with me.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Jen's like I didn't get the tea, So I again,
- 27:12Speaker 2: you know what. I just saw you in the green
- 27:14Speaker 2: room and I was just saying, like I just I
- 27:15Speaker 2: was very impressed by you, and I just thought that
- 27:18Speaker 2: you not only handled yourself well, but you are you
- 27:21Speaker 2: have grace. You have a lot of grace.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I don't know if you know that, but you do,
- 27:27Speaker 2: because it seems like you don't, but you do well.
- 27:29Speaker 3: I mean, I'm I'm humble, Like I'm not good with compliments,
- 27:34Speaker 3: you know, but.
- 27:35Speaker 2: So it's like humble on a smoke show. Which way.
- 27:38Speaker 3: No, but I'm not, I'm not good.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I just you you have grace, you have a lot
- 27:42Speaker 2: of grace.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Well, thank you for you. That's a big deal for
- 27:44Speaker 3: me to say thank you, because I.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Just you want to deny it.
- 27:47Speaker 3: There's and don't want to deny it. But I just
- 27:49Speaker 3: don't want to be like.
- 27:51Speaker 1: It's hard to be a big shot like oh yes.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Yeah I am. No, I'm not going to say that.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well you do.
- 27:58Speaker 1: That also makes you stand apart in terms of housewives.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Oh, I can't tell you how many times I just
- 28:05Speaker 3: said it to Sarah today, which I had the ego,
- 28:08Speaker 3: you me both of some of these.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Give me both kids. Yeah, Kelly, you're not out of
- 28:14Speaker 1: the hot seat going.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think again, just like that's one reason why,
- 28:17Speaker 2: like I think I didn't think that I personally am
- 28:19Speaker 2: very invested in your narrative because and I do feel
- 28:22Speaker 2: like you. I mean this, I do feel like you're
- 28:25Speaker 2: very strong, main character energy because of the things that
- 28:28Speaker 2: you've gone through and the way you're handling things and
- 28:30Speaker 2: the way you're moving forward. Just like the little things
- 28:32Speaker 2: you said, like at the top when we talked about
- 28:34Speaker 2: like relationship versus dating, just like the way that you
- 28:37Speaker 2: speak about things has it has you know, very a
- 28:40Speaker 2: very strong like underpinning of grace, which is beautiful. So
- 28:54Speaker 2: I recently have you, I've been single. I the reason
- 28:57Speaker 2: that I'm on this podcast is because I called off
- 28:59Speaker 2: my wedding four days for us. Remember, there was there
- 29:01Speaker 2: was there was a pre nup situation. There were some
- 29:03Speaker 2: other situations. Uh, and I just was like, I'm not
- 29:07Speaker 2: doing that. Fortunately, I haven't seen him, heard from him, nothing,
- 29:09Speaker 2: which is so great. I literally was like Galley, which
- 29:12Speaker 2: is amazing, and I'm actually really grateful for that. I
- 29:15Speaker 2: I miss his mother, but I don't miss him.
- 29:18Speaker 1: But that's a first I did.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I loved his mother. Oh my god, she was beautiful,
- 29:22Speaker 2: because I don't my parents are deceased. She was just
- 29:24Speaker 2: a beautiful human. So cut to on this podcast, I've
- 29:30Speaker 2: been really making a concerted effort to be in therapy
- 29:33Speaker 2: and also use the podcast as a way for me
- 29:35Speaker 2: to apply what I'm learning. So whether that's talking about relationships,
- 29:40Speaker 2: whether that's going on dates, whether that's having jen on
- 29:43Speaker 2: some of my days, and so, you know, I've been dating,
- 29:48Speaker 2: you know, I've been going out a lot of dates.
- 29:50Speaker 2: And I met someone who's amazing, who's a really really
- 29:53Speaker 2: great person. And I found out from a fan that
- 30:00Speaker 2: he was somewhere kissing a woman, not just kissing, but
- 30:05Speaker 2: making out with a woman. And it was really, really
- 30:08Speaker 2: really upsetting to me. How long, granted that we're just
- 30:11Speaker 2: in the early.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Stage, how many dates have you been on with him?
- 30:14Speaker 2: You know, I went with him to Miami. You know,
- 30:17Speaker 2: I've gone you know, a couple of many, you know,
- 30:19Speaker 2: like probably like ten dates.
- 30:21Speaker 3: What you went on a trip with him?
- 30:23Speaker 2: Yes, I want to trip with him. This was like
- 30:25Speaker 2: I went to f one with him a couple of
- 30:26Speaker 2: weeks ago. He's he's great.
- 30:29Speaker 1: When did you find out that this happened?
- 30:31Speaker 2: I found out last weekend during swim week, right before
- 30:34Speaker 2: I right before to.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Me, it wasn't bethany Well he did he did. He
- 30:39Speaker 1: did not get away from her and maybe Rachel you
- 30:43Speaker 1: just you tell Oh my god. Okay, but anyway, but.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Did you have a conversation about exclusivity?
- 30:51Speaker 2: Like, no, I don't know.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Does that happen?
- 30:53Speaker 1: It's just like I don't know.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Well, no, that's why I'm asking you. That's why I'm
- 30:56Speaker 2: trusting you. So I do not trust you too.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't feel like you're on No, I don't.
- 31:00Speaker 2: But I was asking you what your thoughts are.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I see that is so hurtful. I'm
- 31:07Speaker 3: super sensitive, but I'm very sensitive. That's bye bye.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Plus, I've been in like relationship after relationship. I mean,
- 31:15Speaker 2: every single man I've ever dated has cheated on me
- 31:18Speaker 2: except for one.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you this, and.
- 31:21Speaker 2: They're open about They're like, oh, I just cheated on you.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I'm like, that's nice for you. Oh, here's a picture
- 31:25Speaker 2: of me with this girl. That's so nice.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Are you kidding?
- 31:27Speaker 2: Oh my god, guys are awful with me. I'm like you,
- 31:32Speaker 2: it's just okay.
- 31:33Speaker 1: So you obviously started him. You obviously confronted him.
- 31:36Speaker 2: I confronted him and I said, I said, I just
- 31:38Speaker 2: want to be careful because you know, I don't know
- 31:42Speaker 2: what's going on. I don't do like, you know, it's.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Very magnanimous of you.
- 31:46Speaker 2: You and her, like I don't do that. I don't
- 31:49Speaker 2: you know, if you want to be with her, you
- 31:51Speaker 2: should be with her, Like I was very I'm an adult, like.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Did you know who the girl was? No?
- 31:55Speaker 2: Okay, no idea?
- 31:56Speaker 3: And what did he say?
- 31:57Speaker 2: And he just is like really upset, really really to upset,
- 32:00Speaker 2: really really upset. But you know, the thing is too,
- 32:04Speaker 2: is that like dating, you know, there's there's two questions.
- 32:07Speaker 2: So first of all the advice of like what I
- 32:09Speaker 2: should do, But the second question is how do you
- 32:11Speaker 2: navigate being on a show, of being well known and
- 32:15Speaker 2: navigating this brave new world of dating with these fans
- 32:19Speaker 2: who are incredibly loyal to me, who are just so
- 32:23Speaker 2: lovely and have my back, like you can't go anywhere
- 32:28Speaker 2: because there's going to be somebody and it's not you know,
- 32:30Speaker 2: we don't just have female fans. We have male fans too,
- 32:32Speaker 2: by the way, and a lot of guys are always like, hey,
- 32:34Speaker 2: that guy's not good for you, Like I don't know.
- 32:37Speaker 2: That also happened to me I had a fan or
- 32:40Speaker 2: a friend. I don't like to call them fans because
- 32:42Speaker 2: it sounds super disingenuous. But you know a friend who
- 32:47Speaker 2: literally said, I know who that person is. That person's
- 32:49Speaker 2: not a good person, not this guy, another guy.
- 32:51Speaker 1: So I was just like, you have but kel you
- 32:53Speaker 1: know what, I'm not sure the answer, because yes, I
- 32:55Speaker 1: understand ten dates. There's a lot of dates you went
- 32:57Speaker 1: away with him. Maybe exclusivity is implied. Having said that,
- 33:03Speaker 1: I think that there is probably under the umbrella. Well,
- 33:05Speaker 1: we never spoke about being exclusive, so it was a
- 33:09Speaker 1: one time whatever. Maybe I don't know.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I never called to my boyfriend. I never like you think, well,
- 33:15Speaker 3: I will just say that the one difference that I
- 33:21Speaker 3: had with a couple of the Gala's Unloved Hotel is
- 33:23Speaker 3: that like they will be intimate with a man just
- 33:28Speaker 3: to be intimate. For me, it's about the person, it's
- 33:33Speaker 3: about that connection. So like, I don't I won't just
- 33:35Speaker 3: have sex to have sex like that.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Do you think that's my because I won't either.
- 33:39Speaker 2: I won't either.
- 33:40Speaker 3: So that's my if if you're intimate, was if I'm
- 33:44Speaker 3: intimate with someone, And so I don't know if you
- 33:46Speaker 3: went there, but then we're you're not seeing anybody that's interesting?
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yeah, But I yeah, because and They all were like,
- 33:53Speaker 1: I wasn't an age thing because I think Luanne felt
- 33:55Speaker 1: more free in that area. And yeah, I mean.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Was kissing both guy well.
- 34:00Speaker 1: But then she also freaked out when the one guy
- 34:03Speaker 1: had his arms around Cynthia and that was not making out.
- 34:06Speaker 1: That was we're on you know, love hotel, right, so
- 34:10Speaker 1: obviously she felt like that was disrespectful when James.
- 34:12Speaker 2: When James, I thought that was weird. I was like,
- 34:17Speaker 2: get you get your hands off my friend, right, yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 2: and by the way, I was supposed to go, I
- 34:23Speaker 2: know Cynthia, Yeah, but I had to do something with iHeart, yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 2: which was so much fun too. But yes, luans like
- 34:31Speaker 2: you should have come, and I was like, oh so.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Wait, hold on, So what's the outcome? What happened with
- 34:35Speaker 1: the guy? Is he still alive.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Days ago trying to contact you?
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yes, sent me beautiful flower.
- 34:44Speaker 3: So he says him done with this girl? Was it?
- 34:46Speaker 2: Has he been dating her?
- 34:47Speaker 1: Did he just meet her exactly that day? What? Thank you?
- 34:51Speaker 2: He was drinking a lot and it may or may
- 34:53Speaker 2: not have been his ex fiancee.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Now, unfortunately, Kelly, I have to rethink the whole thing.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I thought it was like, you're going to say he
- 35:03Speaker 1: was wasted.
- 35:04Speaker 2: They were out this. Well, that's why I'm trying to
- 35:06Speaker 2: be the adult about it, because they were together and
- 35:09Speaker 2: I said to him, if you want to be together,
- 35:14Speaker 2: I support you, like I'm not going to get you
- 35:16Speaker 2: and I'm not going to get in the way of
- 35:17Speaker 2: someone that's not going to happen if you have a
- 35:19Speaker 2: connection with someone that's you know, I care about him. Yes,
- 35:23Speaker 2: I do have self respect.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I don't know what to say now, you just threw up.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Plus, I've been like cheated on so many times. I'm
- 35:28Speaker 2: just like, what's what's different, Like, yeah, you know what,
- 35:32Speaker 2: I think, Wait, maybe we should do a show on
- 35:33Speaker 2: like all the cheaters together.
- 35:36Speaker 3: I think that okay, you knowing that he was with
- 35:41Speaker 3: someone and then that's okay.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I'm on Instagram on Instagram she was telling me this,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and it just was like I was like, oh my gosh.
- 35:50Speaker 3: I just feel like if you were to accept him
- 35:53Speaker 3: back and then you're a relationship, you're saying that's okay.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Listen, I have I was separated for a year and
- 35:59Speaker 1: a half. I don't know if you know this, but
- 36:01Speaker 1: there were infidelities in my marriage coming from both of us.
- 36:05Speaker 1: The first one was not for me having said that,
- 36:08Speaker 1: here we are today twenty five years later, twenty six.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I think we're twenty six. And I'm not saying that
- 36:16Speaker 1: an affair is not something or I believe personally that
- 36:20Speaker 1: it depends on the situation and sometimes you can. I'm
- 36:23Speaker 1: here to tell you move on. Things will change, and
- 36:26Speaker 1: they certainly did for my husband and I. But this
- 36:28Speaker 1: kind of thing, it's still so new. He's supposed to
- 36:31Speaker 1: be obsessed with you and only you.
- 36:34Speaker 2: So that's why when you were talking at the beginning
- 36:37Speaker 2: and I was like, I was like, oh my god,
- 36:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna start to cry. That's why I'm like, I
- 36:40Speaker 2: want main character energy.
- 36:42Speaker 1: No you, no, bit, it's more main character energy than you.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Get the hell out of here.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Well, anyway, I just wanted to ask your thoughts.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I just like, Jenquar, how many how many years
- 36:53Speaker 3: were you married before seven?
- 36:55Speaker 1: It was the seven year itch? It was the cliche
- 36:57Speaker 1: of it all.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Okay, See, I've been divorced for fifteen and then I
- 37:01Speaker 2: dated this guy for two. Then I had to cut
- 37:04Speaker 2: that off because that was not good. That was not
- 37:05Speaker 2: good for me. And so now I'm like, oh my god,
- 37:08Speaker 2: is it again? Am I ever going to meet someone
- 37:10Speaker 2: who just like wants to be with me.
- 37:11Speaker 3: You know, when you're when when you try and when
- 37:14Speaker 3: you you know, start and give it your all and
- 37:18Speaker 3: it doesn't work out. That's why I got so upset
- 37:21Speaker 3: that Earle and I fought. I just felt like it
- 37:24Speaker 3: was ruining.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Everything because you were so impressed in it at this point, it's.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Like, oh wait, this is so great and what happened
- 37:33Speaker 3: Like now it's just blown up into this big ordeal
- 37:36Speaker 3: and it really upset me because it's like, just you know.
- 37:40Speaker 2: But you didn't get upset and talk about how upset
- 37:43Speaker 2: you were. You you pivoted and did something kind for
- 37:46Speaker 2: him and changed the narrative. And so that's one reason
- 37:51Speaker 2: why I also think that you're a great advice person giver,
- 37:55Speaker 2: because you know, and just like Jen was saying, it's like,
- 37:59Speaker 2: you know, you're so that you're saying it. It's like
- 38:01Speaker 2: just because there is no right way to have a relationship,
- 38:06Speaker 2: to have a marriage, there's no right way. There's no book,
- 38:09Speaker 2: do you know what I mean, There's no like you know,
- 38:11Speaker 2: people don't have you know, there's a lot of ways
- 38:14Speaker 2: you can move in and out of that that license
- 38:17Speaker 2: if you.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Will although I will tell you that I have much
- 38:20Speaker 1: less patience now for friends of mine like at our
- 38:24Speaker 1: age ladies, and I think we're all about the same age.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Forgive me if you guys are younger than me, But
- 38:29Speaker 1: I feel like you got to be a little smarter.
- 38:32Speaker 1: You got to sort of see things in a different
- 38:34Speaker 1: way that you did, like like, oh, you know, I
- 38:37Speaker 1: mean you have to be And I'm not saying you
- 38:38Speaker 1: have to be defensive, and I'm not saying that you
- 38:40Speaker 1: have to overthink everything, but there are not like Kelly.
- 38:43Speaker 1: This to me is a perfect example. If I that
- 38:46Speaker 1: happened to me and I was let's say I was
- 38:47Speaker 1: crazy about a guy when I was twenty five and
- 38:50Speaker 1: he had done that, I would let it go. In
- 38:51Speaker 1: about two seconds. I would convince myself and everyone around
- 38:55Speaker 1: me that it was that he fell into her mouth
- 38:57Speaker 1: like that. That would be like the narric because I wouldn't.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I would just feel that desperation and not enough you know,
- 39:05Speaker 1: self worth to say wait a second, your ex fiancee
- 39:07Speaker 1: to get the fuck out of here. I think now,
- 39:10Speaker 1: I hope now I've come a long way from that
- 39:12Speaker 1: at age fifty six, and I feel like you guys,
- 39:15Speaker 1: we would we have to be a little smarter.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Now, well, I'm sixty one, so if suprating when look
- 39:21Speaker 3: at her, Like, when I do a relationship, I have
- 39:27Speaker 3: to know that it is the right relationship because I
- 39:30Speaker 3: got one more shot. You know, I'm not gonna I it,
- 39:34Speaker 3: just I have to know. So that's not a good
- 39:37Speaker 3: way to start.
- 39:37Speaker 1: When you look back at your other relationships, Like do
- 39:40Speaker 1: you see things now, I don't know if we're geting,
- 39:43Speaker 1: we're not even the names, but do you see that
- 39:46Speaker 1: there were warning signs that you.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Importantly right from the get really but by the way,
- 39:51Speaker 2: like you know, to your point, I'm saying, by the way,
- 39:56Speaker 2: to your point. So I'm like, don't have to say anything,
- 39:58Speaker 2: uh no, But to your point, when you do something,
- 40:03Speaker 2: you set a precedence like okay, I'm doing this. If
- 40:06Speaker 2: you let me get away with it's like a kid,
- 40:08Speaker 2: it's like you're you. I didn't say no, I'm gonna
- 40:11Speaker 2: let you do it. That they're going to keep doing
- 40:12Speaker 2: it over again again in different ways. Yeah, they're not
- 40:14Speaker 2: going to be doing maybe the same thing, but they're
- 40:17Speaker 2: going to do things similar ways. And you know, I'm
- 40:22Speaker 2: not like I'm not like, oh my god, here are
- 40:24Speaker 2: the rules. I just feel like you should just.
- 40:26Speaker 3: Know, right. But the good thing, if you want to
- 40:30Speaker 3: call it good, the positive that is coming out of
- 40:34Speaker 3: this you're the fan reaching out to you and telling
- 40:38Speaker 3: you about this ten date guy, is that you've found
- 40:41Speaker 3: out now. Yeah, you know, because if you if you
- 40:44Speaker 3: meet someone who's a stranger, I think it takes a
- 40:46Speaker 3: good two years to get to know somebody, to truly
- 40:49Speaker 3: get to know who they are, So you know, you
- 40:54Speaker 3: can nip that in the butt.
- 40:55Speaker 2: But maybe I'm just too open. Maybe I'm just too
- 40:59Speaker 2: but maybe honestly, maybe it's.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Beginning now it's z ex fiance, so like Kelly, you
- 41:03Speaker 1: don't need that.
- 41:04Speaker 2: But then what about the other guy that I was
- 41:06Speaker 2: that you know, it was like we had to get married,
- 41:08Speaker 2: he had to get engaged, he had to do all
- 41:10Speaker 2: these things, Like what is it about not them? What
- 41:13Speaker 2: is it about me that I'm longing? I don't have
- 41:15Speaker 2: my main character, grace Shanon.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I don't know what you mean whether they want to
- 41:18Speaker 1: lock you down, what do you mean?
- 41:21Speaker 2: Yes, they're like, okay, you now good? You want that
- 41:24Speaker 2: je you can't pull me. I may or may not
- 41:26Speaker 2: be wearing extensions like please do not I.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Wish I hope that continues for you and for Shannon. Yeah,
- 41:31Speaker 1: I mean I like for them to want to lock
- 41:32Speaker 1: you guys.
- 41:33Speaker 3: I would like take charge person.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Well, not calling me and saying like we're getting married tomorrow.
- 41:38Speaker 1: But guess what. You're strong enough at this point you're
- 41:40Speaker 1: like to say, guess what, No, we're not getting married tomorrow.
- 41:43Speaker 1: And that's the maybe you would have been, you know,
- 41:46Speaker 1: a different person when you were even in your forties.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Like listen, it's like a high school musical song, strong.
- 41:52Speaker 1: You all, Yeah, don't ever do that again, please, I
- 41:57Speaker 1: beg of you.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Everyone can sing, no, not everyone. Yes, anyway, everyone's a singer.
- 42:03Speaker 1: All right, you guys, So all right, So anyway, Shannon, like,
- 42:08Speaker 1: just is there any takeaway from love hotality advice you
- 42:12Speaker 1: want to give to our listeners in terms of, like
- 42:14Speaker 1: you put yourself out there again? And which is I
- 42:18Speaker 1: think you know that's the gift of you. But anything
- 42:21Speaker 1: you'd want to you know impart.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Well, I just think that as far as dating goes it,
- 42:29Speaker 3: you should be vulnerable and you should be honest. Like
- 42:32Speaker 3: I was criticized a bit for like why are you
- 42:35Speaker 3: telling everybody that you got a duy because it's part
- 42:38Speaker 3: of me. Let's just get it out of the way.
- 42:40Speaker 3: I love that.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I just love that. That is the key, I think
- 42:45Speaker 1: one of the keys to being successful in housewives. Also,
- 42:48Speaker 1: you got to own your you can't.
- 42:50Speaker 2: But it's interesting because I was raised to like not talk.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Oh now, you don't talk about anything. Everything's fine, everything's perfect,
- 42:57Speaker 2: it's all great news.
- 42:58Speaker 1: You know.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Oh, you want to hear the good news. That's like
- 43:00Speaker 2: my father would say, I want to hear the good news.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Want to hear the great news. It was always great, great, good, good,
- 43:05Speaker 2: good good. There was no bad. There's something Oh my god,
- 43:07Speaker 2: that's that's no, no, no, no, we don't talk about that.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:11Speaker 3: I actually sat down with Earle and I brought him
- 43:15Speaker 3: up to my room and I played him clips from
- 43:20Speaker 3: the Real Housewives of Orange County Cool so he would
- 43:23Speaker 3: have kind of an understanding of there's the door shon door.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:30Speaker 3: I showed him that scene and he was like, you've
- 43:33Speaker 3: got to be kidding me.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Well, that wasn't embarrassing for you.
- 43:35Speaker 2: That was just funny.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, but I but I showed him that and
- 43:39Speaker 3: a couple others, and you know, he kind of got
- 43:41Speaker 3: it a little bit. It was just so refreshing for
- 43:43Speaker 3: us to have the men not like none of them
- 43:47Speaker 3: had seen the House I shows before, so that was
- 43:49Speaker 3: really nice that they were getting to know us for us,
- 43:53Speaker 3: you know, is it?
- 43:53Speaker 2: The guys were great. The guys were really great.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I really hope. I don't know what. I know. You're
- 43:58Speaker 1: not going to tell me, but I was still waiting
- 44:00Speaker 1: on the last episode. I really hope you, guys, even
- 44:02Speaker 1: if it's not romantic, end up, like you know, being
- 44:05Speaker 1: friends and having some relationship because I loved I did
- 44:08Speaker 1: really grow to love the two of you together.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Very sweet.
- 44:11Speaker 3: I will say that there is one of the ladies
- 44:16Speaker 3: of the four that is still dating someone Lunne.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Holy shit, you heard it here first. No, I know
- 44:25Speaker 1: they're all nodding there.
- 44:26Speaker 2: No, No, don't know, just say wrong to figure it out.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I could figure it out, Shannon. I would like to
- 44:36Speaker 1: to be you, Jelle.
- 44:37Speaker 2: I love, I love.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I'm trying to read her eyes, you guys.
- 44:42Speaker 2: But she, Shannon is an ice queen.
- 44:45Speaker 1: God, she's not letting it go.
- 44:47Speaker 3: I know.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Tell us, tell us, tell us, it's just too strong.
- 44:50Speaker 1: We can't break her all right? Three more?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Wait, I have to ask one more question. I have
- 44:54Speaker 2: to one more question. Kissing on camera and how was that?
- 44:57Speaker 3: You know what? Like at a certain point, you know,
- 45:00Speaker 3: you just forget that microphone is on your back and
- 45:03Speaker 3: that you've got cameras. I forgot that they have those
- 45:06Speaker 3: robotic cameras in the room so early. And I did
- 45:10Speaker 3: have like a little makeout session, but I don't think.
- 45:13Speaker 3: I don't think i've seen it yet.
