- 0:53you part of the family.
- 0:54Boom!
- 0:58Hey there, everybody.
- 0:59Vicky's apologizing to me because Scott is
- 1:03not here currently.
- 1:04He is on the way, relatively speaking.
- 1:06He had a lunch meeting that ran long,
- 1:08so it's just me and Vicky right now.
- 1:12The inmates are in fact running the asylum
- 1:15as we speak.
- 1:17So as per usual,
- 1:19I do not generally have anything planned.
- 1:21I usually,
- 1:22Scott has stuff that he wants to talk
- 1:23about.
- 1:23We just kind of go with that.
- 1:25So for the time being, we can probably,
- 1:28that is not how we started the show.
- 1:30I understand.
- 1:31Joseph, what do you want me to do,
- 1:32brother?
- 1:33Not a whole lot I can do about
- 1:34it right now.
- 1:35It's just me and Vicky.
- 1:36Like I said,
- 1:37inmates is running the asylum.
- 1:38What do you want?
- 1:38What do you want?
- 1:41um go over a couple things i did
- 1:44in fact watch half of the saints game
- 1:47last night but for those of you i
- 1:51i was me and biggie were briefly chatting
- 1:53about this for a second for those of
- 1:54you who actually watch monday night
- 1:57football in its entirety and or adults and
- 2:01have jobs and stuff the next morning like
- 2:03how do you get up
- 2:05I really need to know because it was
- 2:08nine o'clock last night at halftime and I
- 2:11went to bed.
- 2:14Legitimately, nine p.m.,
- 2:17I had had enough of the day in
- 2:19general,
- 2:19much less the fact that Saints were
- 2:20getting their ass beat by the Falcons.
- 2:24That running back they got is outstanding.
- 2:28But I just went on to bed because
- 2:29I'm not staying up that long.
- 2:31Like, I'm just not doing that.
- 2:33I can't fathom going all the way till
- 2:35however long that took for them to finish.
- 2:37I'm assuming sometime around ten thirty
- 2:39eleven o'clock.
- 2:42Well, OK, yeah.
- 2:45Doug, Mr.
- 2:47Retired Steve games at eight thirty nine
- 2:49o'clock out West, that's how.
- 2:50Yeah, well.
- 2:52Kudos, I don't live out West.
- 2:56I live in about as in the middle
- 2:57of the country as I possibly could be
- 2:58without actually being in the middle of
- 3:00the country and down at the bottom of
- 3:02it.
- 3:02But yeah, Meg, nine, dude.
- 3:06And that's only because I told myself I
- 3:07was going to stay until halftime and just
- 3:09kind of see what was going on and
- 3:11went on to bed after that.
- 3:13It was absolutely one eight.
- 3:18Forty nine is Chica.
- 3:20I usually don't go to sleep till one
- 3:22a.m.
- 3:23Dude,
- 3:24what I usually what I'm getting up and
- 3:25going pee like that's one a.m.
- 3:28That's that's getting out of bed because
- 3:30I'm old and my bladder is like, hey,
- 3:31man,
- 3:31we're not going to hold on to this
- 3:33morning.
- 3:36I used to be,
- 3:37I say that when I was working
- 3:38construction,
- 3:38I was up five o'clock pretty much every
- 3:40morning anyway,
- 3:40but now I'm up at five to go
- 3:42work out.
- 3:44First session of the day,
- 3:45get that in and come, you know,
- 3:47take a shower, head on to work,
- 3:49all of that good stuff.
- 3:50Like one, one AM is not a thing,
- 3:52dude.
- 3:52I don't,
- 3:52I couldn't tell you the last time I
- 3:54saw actually, no, no,
- 3:58I can't tell you the last time I
- 3:59saw one AM where I was intentionally
- 4:01awake.
- 4:03Like, that's not a thing.
- 4:05Like, one a.m.
- 4:05is usually get up, go pee.
- 4:08Still, you know, eyes blurry.
- 4:10Like,
- 4:10I'm pretty sure my body just knows the
- 4:12way to the bathroom at this point without
- 4:13me having to be there.
- 4:16And we just stroll on over and get
- 4:18it done, go crawl back into bed.
- 4:20One AM is absolutely wild work.
- 4:23There's no possible way.
- 4:25The wife and I went and saw,
- 4:28I can't remember the kid's name,
- 4:30but he was on American Idol like last
- 4:32season when he's from Louisiana.
- 4:37What's his name?
- 4:38Anyway, at the, yes,
- 4:42actually in the toilet, Mr.
- 4:43Kyle's in CrossFit.
- 4:45Once I him a couple months ago and
- 4:50we didn't make it past eleven thirty.
- 4:52Matter of fact,
- 4:53I don't think you make it made it
- 4:54past ten thirty before we just do stolen
- 4:57out and went back home and went to
- 4:58bed.
- 5:02So my question is, anybody in there?
- 5:04No, not Scotty McCurry.
- 5:07Ruben stood I like how we just going
- 5:09you were just reaching it back.
- 5:10Yeah, just Kelly Clarkson Why not?
- 5:12We'll just talk about all that Jamal was
- 5:13from Mississippi.
- 5:15Oh, man.
- 5:18I Know the kids name and I can't
- 5:19think of it John something or another
- 5:23Anyway,
- 5:24we went saw him and didn't make it
- 5:26all the way through the show by the
- 5:27time the opener and the second opener got
- 5:30done and he played three songs and we
- 5:33left and
- 5:36Because I'm just not.
- 5:37John Foster.
- 5:38Yes, ma'am.
- 5:39Thank you.
- 5:39Thank you.
- 5:39Thank you.
- 5:40Thank you.
- 5:41Oh, look at that.
- 5:42I got a co-host.
- 5:43How about that?
- 5:46Sorry.
- 5:47Ladies and gentlemen, Scott Switzer.
- 5:49Oh, man.
- 5:51You went live.
- 5:52Oh, yeah.
- 5:55As we discussed earlier,
- 5:56I always have something I can rant and
- 5:59yance about.
- 6:00It's fine.
- 6:01Not a big deal.
- 6:02Glad to see you.
- 6:05Oh, dude.
- 6:08I'm so over it.
- 6:10I'm so over my job.
- 6:12Hey, bro.
- 6:13The good news is you only got, what,
- 6:17another five to seven years left.
- 6:19You should be fine.
- 6:21Yeah, sure.
- 6:23All of that.
- 6:24I'm just looking at the comments.
- 6:25What the hell were you talking about?
- 6:27Clay Aiken?
- 6:28I was trying to remember the name of
- 6:30the kid we went and saw.
- 6:31I'm talking about staying up late.
- 6:35i watched the saints game last night up
- 6:38until halftime and that was like nine p.m
- 6:41my time and that was a wrap like
- 6:43i couldn't it didn't help that they were
- 6:44getting ass beat um but like i'm not
- 6:49like i was done with the day and
- 6:51then i had enough of the game as
- 6:52well by nine o'clock and i didn't
- 6:55understand i don't understand how people
- 6:57like i'm just gonna stay up till eleven
- 6:59o'clock and finish this game off and like
- 7:01that doesn't make any kind of sense to
- 7:02me
- 7:04And I was trying to remember the last
- 7:04time I saw one AM that was not
- 7:10me getting up in the middle of night
- 7:11to go pee.
- 7:14And I said, we went and saw John.
- 7:15I couldn't remember the kid's name,
- 7:16but his name is John Foster.
- 7:17He's from, uh,
- 7:19not far from where my wife is originally
- 7:21from and we went and we went saw
- 7:24him i went to go see him i
- 7:26should say and by the time the opener
- 7:29the second act got off he came on
- 7:32sang three songs and we left and it
- 7:34was ten thirty eleven o'clock something
- 7:38like that and that seemed super late yeah
- 7:43i i stay up for sports and then
- 7:45usually pay for it the next day and
- 7:48but
- 7:49I can't do that, dude.
- 7:51Like,
- 7:52I didn't do a whole lot this morning.
- 7:53I got up.
- 7:55Jennifer went run, came back,
- 7:56and then I went run and came back
- 7:58and then got Jameson ready for school and
- 8:00stuff like that.
- 8:01But I wouldn't have been able to do
- 8:02that if I'd have been up till eleven
- 8:03o'clock watching the game.
- 8:04Like, there's no possible way.
- 8:06Which,
- 8:06looking at the final score this morning,
- 8:08I wouldn't have stayed up the rest.
- 8:10I wouldn't have made it past the third
- 8:11quarter anyway.
- 8:11But that running back is ridiculous.
- 8:16Bichon.
- 8:17Bichon.
- 8:18Bichon.
- 8:22So if I stay up for a Bears
- 8:24game,
- 8:25nothing is more aggravating than staying
- 8:27up till eleven thirty at night to watch
- 8:29them.
- 8:30And then.
- 8:32They lose by like a point in the
- 8:34last, you know, like and then you're like,
- 8:36shit, I stayed up for this.
- 8:37Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:45Right.
- 8:45Uh.
- 8:48I'm already mean enough.
- 8:49Imagine me without beauty sleep.
- 8:50We don't want to.
- 8:52I'm good.
- 8:53I'm good.
- 8:57Tessa.
- 8:57Tessa says, random thoughts.
- 8:58My local grocery store.
- 8:59These colostrum sodas on sale from Armra?
- 9:04Armra?
- 9:05Armra?
- 9:08I don't know what that is.
- 9:10Well, I know what colostrum is.
- 9:12I know what colostrum is.
- 9:13I do not want to be drinking that
- 9:15as a soda.
- 9:16No.
- 9:16Good.
- 9:17Just saying.
- 9:18Good.
- 9:20Good.
- 9:21That's not a thing.
- 9:22See, this is the problem.
- 9:30I don't care what flavor it is.
- 9:31I am not drinking that as a soda.
- 9:33Mm-mm.
- 9:37Mm hmm.
- 9:37This is the problem.
- 9:38Winter says she sees one a.m.
- 9:40every day.
- 9:42I do, too,
- 9:43but it's about for about thirty five to
- 9:45forty seconds when I get up from I
- 9:48need the covers,
- 9:50go to the bathroom and go back to
- 9:52bed.
- 9:53And that's not even usually it's sometime
- 9:55between one and two thirty in the morning.
- 9:57And then I go back.
- 9:58Dude, man,
- 9:59you got some powerful pee if you can
- 10:00do all that in thirty five seconds.
- 10:02My bed,
- 10:02my I'm seven steps from the bed to
- 10:05the toilet.
- 10:05It's like just the peeing process takes me
- 10:09longer than thirty five seconds.
- 10:11By the time I get up like it's
- 10:13I'm about to pee on myself.
- 10:15So I just it's it's not a whole.
- 10:19No beer flavored pre-workout is OK.
- 10:22They talk about the colostrum.
- 10:24But beer-flavored pre-workout is not...
- 10:26Okay, no, it's not.
- 10:27I do not want... I'm not getting...
- 10:30There's one thing you can guarantee I'm
- 10:31not going to buy,
- 10:33and I buy a lot of C-IV,
- 10:35is the beer-flavored C-IV.
- 10:38Can I say I didn't believe you?
- 10:40Really?
- 10:41I didn't.
- 10:42And then you saw it.
- 10:43I thought you were duped into it,
- 10:50and then I got...
- 10:53There it is.
- 10:54The beer-flavored C-IV ad.
- 10:55Yeah.
- 10:57And I was like, oh my gosh,
- 10:59he didn't get duped.
- 11:02It just makes no sense to me.
- 11:05That is just something that...
- 11:07It's up there with colostrum soda.
- 11:10It's not far off.
- 11:13Like, they just shouldn't go together.
- 11:16There it is.
- 11:18All hopped up.
- 11:20how i'm sorry man how big of an
- 11:22alcoholic do you have to be to drink
- 11:26caffeinated pre-workout beer pretty big i
- 11:30would say like you might have a problem
- 11:33that pre-workout ain't gonna ain't gonna
- 11:35take care of thanks it's not gonna fix
- 11:38my fix i got a twelve pack right
- 11:40there of c-four but it's cherry limeade
- 11:43you know why because that's what a sane
- 11:44person does
- 11:47Like, what's next?
- 11:48Can I tell you?
- 11:49You told me about the Hawaiian pineapple
- 11:51popsicle.
- 11:52Yep.
- 11:53New favorite flavor.
- 11:54Bro, isn't it good?
- 11:57It is like my childhood in a can.
- 12:00Yeah, it is fantastic.
- 12:02It really, really is.
- 12:03I'm not a big fan of the grape
- 12:04because they got all the popsicle flavors.
- 12:07I say all.
- 12:08They got grape, cherry.
- 12:11There might be a different one.
- 12:12But anyway, that pineapple one,
- 12:15it takes it over the top.
- 12:19um i never would have tried if they
- 12:25were not on sale now i'm bummed i
- 12:27didn't buy all of them are you talking
- 12:29about the colostrum soda tessa it seems
- 12:32like it because she's the one that brought
- 12:33it up good for you yeah
- 12:40Yeah,
- 12:41nobody wants a hoppy beer pre-workout.
- 12:44No.
- 12:44Like,
- 12:45if you're going to do a beer pre-workout,
- 12:46it better be like Miller Lite.
- 12:48Yeah.
- 12:49Like, not like a good old thick IPA.
- 12:54Beer flavored water.
- 12:55Yeah, no, you don't want to.
- 12:56Oh, my Lord.
- 12:59Well, IPAs are like,
- 13:00you don't want a beer snobs beer
- 13:03pre-workout.
- 13:04Like, nobody wants that.
- 13:06now a four loco with a little bit
- 13:09of caffeine in there i'm all for it
- 13:12look in my day absolutely like give me
- 13:15four hundred milligrams of caffeine and
- 13:17you know four and a half percent alcohol
- 13:20content you know in a one can't absolutely
- 13:23sure but red bull and vodka
- 13:27Red Bull and actually Red Bull and
- 13:29bourbon.
- 13:30Red Bull and Crown is actually pretty darn
- 13:32good in and of itself.
- 13:34You know,
- 13:34I was fifty-six years old before I tried
- 13:36a Red Bull.
- 13:37Yeah?
- 13:39Yeah, I'm missing that.
- 13:39You know how old I am?
- 13:41Yeah.
- 13:42Fifty-six.
- 13:42I'm aware.
- 13:43So did you have one like yesterday?
- 13:45They were free at the WFP.
- 13:46I do remember you saying that.
- 13:51I mean,
- 13:51I guess when you sponsored by them,
- 13:52that was the idea.
- 13:53I'm like, Jameis Winston...
- 13:55Free ninety nine is calling.
- 13:57Oh, absolutely.
- 14:00Absolutely.
- 14:01The best kind free.
- 14:07Oh, look,
- 14:07you would test with the same age.
- 14:08Only one of y'all is drinking colostrum
- 14:10sodas and what I'm not.
- 14:10Yeah, that's all her.
- 14:15I understand the concept behind it,
- 14:17but like, where are you getting it from?
- 14:20Where's this colostrum coming from?
- 14:22Who's supplying the colostrum?
- 14:24What does the factory look like?
- 14:26I really want to know.
- 14:28What is the extraction process?
- 14:31Yes.
- 14:32Yes.
- 14:33How is that?
- 14:36Is it like a dairy farm?
- 14:39I hope not.
- 14:43Dairy farm full of recently pregnant
- 14:45women?
- 14:45I don't understand what's going on.
- 14:46I really, really don't.
- 14:52oh look at katie l trying to bring
- 14:53truth into the the joke yeah hey look
- 14:57keep your truth to yourself you understand
- 14:59we are here to we're here to make
- 15:01jokes that's that's kind of what we do
- 15:02yeah oh yeah we are the arbiters of
- 15:06truth and we and we we don't have
- 15:07time for that today megan said she started
- 15:10listening to get there all the time oh
- 15:12well
- 15:17Winter says she's never had a four loco.
- 15:19Winter,
- 15:19what you need to do is get a
- 15:20five-hour energy,
- 15:22pour that into your four loco,
- 15:24and then you can have a five loco
- 15:26or maybe a nine loco.
- 15:27I guess it really depends on who you
- 15:28ask.
- 15:30So the first time I ever – probably
- 15:32the first and only time I had a
- 15:33four loco –
- 15:35is I was at a tailgate at my
- 15:37daughter's college,
- 15:39and we stopped at the filling station,
- 15:42gas station, whatever, on the way down,
- 15:44and they had them in the cooler,
- 15:46and it said green apple.
- 15:48And if you say green apple,
- 15:50I'm all in.
- 15:51Didn't even know what it was.
- 15:53Yeah, don't even care.
- 15:55I drank that,
- 15:56and it was an experience I never had
- 15:58before in my life.
- 16:00Did you start smoking cigarettes and
- 16:01punching holes in walls?
- 16:02I feel like that's probably part of it.
- 16:06I have never been that drunk off of
- 16:09one drink in my life.
- 16:11No.
- 16:12Those things are serious.
- 16:14I've had one.
- 16:15Same as you.
- 16:16I've had one.
- 16:18Thinking it was going to be a good
- 16:19idea.
- 16:19The walk from the tailgate to the stadium
- 16:23was a rough ride.
- 16:25Yeah.
- 16:29Coca-Cola.
- 16:33or plus one locos when you put the
- 16:34five hour energy in there for jayden
- 16:37daniels fair oh there it is ah there's
- 16:49a colostrum farm i don't i wish he
- 16:55never would have brought it up because now
- 16:56like i can't turn my brain off when
- 16:58it comes to that kind of stuff
- 17:01Do you know what's crazy?
- 17:03Please.
- 17:04Is I actually prepared something for this
- 17:06show, and then that meeting ran over,
- 17:09and I jumped in here,
- 17:12and there aren't even rails to jump on.
- 17:14No.
- 17:14No.
- 17:19Oh.
- 17:20No,
- 17:21I did not watch Katie on Boys last
- 17:22night.
- 17:23I was busy watching the Saints get their
- 17:24ass handed to them.
- 17:25Yeah, I didn't either.
- 17:27I was trying to catch up on Neely.
- 17:31Lexi.
- 17:33No.
- 17:35Neely, it's the spinoff of Reacher.
- 17:37Oh, Neegly.
- 17:38Isn't it Neegly?
- 17:40It's pronounced Neegly.
- 17:42The G is silent.
- 17:44It's a silent G. It's a silent G.
- 17:51Colostrum concentrate.
- 17:56How do they make a cow?
- 17:57Super thick colostrum.
- 17:59Yeah, I need you to concentrate.
- 18:04Nope.
- 18:06Yeah, I'm out.
- 18:08All right.
- 18:09So how did they get colostrum concentrate?
- 18:11Did they boil it down?
- 18:12Like,
- 18:12I don't understand how that's happening.
- 18:15Cook off the excess liquid.
- 18:20I don't want no part of that.
- 18:22I don't want no part of that.
- 18:24No, thank you.
- 18:25Like little Miss Muffet and her curds and
- 18:27whey, man, at that point.
- 18:30Yeah, well, that actually makes sense,
- 18:31though.
- 18:32That's part of the cheesemaking process.
- 18:34I get that.
- 18:35Colostrum is its own thing.
- 18:37Are you saying you can't make colostrum
- 18:39cheese?
- 18:40And I'm not actually saying you can't make
- 18:43colostrum cheese.
- 18:45Jesus H. Christ.
- 18:47I haven't said the word colostrum this
- 18:48many times in a ten-minute period in my
- 18:52entire life.
- 18:52I mean,
- 18:53if you can make colostrum into soda and
- 18:56you can make cauliflower into rice.
- 18:58First of all,
- 19:00I cannot make colostrum into soda.
- 19:02Neither can you.
- 19:06Oh, my word.
- 19:09I'm with Matt.
- 19:10If you're going to have it,
- 19:11it must be raw, straight from the teat,
- 19:12man.
- 19:13Straight from the, yeah.
- 19:14You got to get it from the source,
- 19:15which is a whole different factory at that
- 19:17point.
- 19:19Not even the same thing.
- 19:23Not with that attitude.
- 19:24KDL has been listening to my coaching.
- 19:27Not with that attitude, you can't.
- 19:34Seema's about to barf.
- 19:35Me too.
- 19:35I understand, Seema.
- 19:37I didn't bring it up.
- 19:38Somebody else said something about it,
- 19:40and then here we are.
- 19:46Winter, I liked it.
- 19:47I don't watch Reacher.
- 19:49I like it so far.
- 19:49I'm three episodes in to the first season.
- 19:58Look, Nicky trying to steer us back.
- 19:59So it's National Taco Day.
- 20:03Joseph, it's your time to shine.
- 20:04Today is National Taco Day.
- 20:05If you don't have a pocket taco,
- 20:08I don't know what you're even doing with
- 20:09your life at this point.
- 20:11And it's Tuesday.
- 20:12National Taco Day should be on a Tuesday.
- 20:15Every year.
- 20:16If you're going to have National Taco Day,
- 20:19it doggone well better be a Tuesday.
- 20:22If...
- 20:23Thanksgiving is just the third Thursday in
- 20:27November every year.
- 20:28Then Taco Tuesday can be the first Tuesday
- 20:32or third Thursday, excuse me.
- 20:34Then Taco Tuesday can be the second
- 20:35Tuesday of every October.
- 20:37That should be easy.
- 20:38That should be a no-brainer.
- 20:40I think we're on the first Tuesday,
- 20:42but okay.
- 20:43Whatever.
- 20:43I mean, either way, pick a Tuesday.
- 20:47Time is a construct.
- 20:48Time is an abstract concept,
- 20:50a hundred percent.
- 20:54I know you like tacos.
- 20:55Yeah,
- 20:57we need to blow the dust off the
- 20:59taco gun.
- 21:05Homer Simpson was an inventor in one
- 21:07episode,
- 21:08and he built a makeup gun for ladies
- 21:11who only have three-tenths of a second to
- 21:13get ready.
- 21:16Well, if you remember,
- 21:18Joseph brought a taco gun to the games.
- 21:20He absolutely did.
- 21:21Yeah.
- 21:22oh pocket taco tuesday there she is
- 21:27there's my winter right there taco pocket
- 21:31taco tuesday i can't even say it it's
- 21:37way up hold up it's taco tuesday and
- 21:40it's national coaches day if that's the
- 21:44case then i feel as a coach somebody
- 21:46should bring me one of my athletes should
- 21:47bring me tacos
- 21:51There you go.
- 21:52Wouldn't that not make sense?
- 21:53Man.
- 21:56Yes.
- 21:59Well,
- 21:59do we want to find rails or not?
- 22:00Just let me know.
- 22:01If so, I'll just... Go for it.
- 22:03I'm tired of talking about colostrum.
- 22:04I can tell you that much.
- 22:05Yeah, me too.
- 22:06All right.
- 22:09Do you know what debuted twenty years ago
- 22:10today?
- 22:11One of the greatest shows of all time.
- 22:14Twenty years ago today.
- 22:16So that would have been in two thousand
- 22:18and six.
- 22:18Oh, man.
- 22:20That could be any one of a number
- 22:21of things.
- 22:22Hit me with it.
- 22:24Friday Night Lights.
- 22:26Oh, clear eyes, full heart.
- 22:29Can't lose.
- 22:30Can't lose.
- 22:32Dylan Panthers.
- 22:36Outstanding.
- 22:39And now coaches the Green Lantern.
- 22:41Yeah, isn't that wild?
- 22:45Isn't that wild?
- 22:46I just realized he was also in the
- 22:49first episode of Mayor of Kingstown.
- 22:56Yep.
- 22:57Yep.
- 23:00I only made it to episode two.
- 23:02It's not that I didn't... I don't know.
- 23:04Weird, but... I just fell off of it.
- 23:05I really like Jeremy Renner a lot.
- 23:08Me too.
- 23:08And I saw...
- 23:10I didn't make it much further past that
- 23:12either.
- 23:13I was trying to figure out what was
- 23:14going on.
- 23:14I think I probably got three or four
- 23:15episodes in.
- 23:16And then we just fell off because I
- 23:18think we were trying to catch up on
- 23:20all the episodes of Yellowstone.
- 23:22And I only had so much time on
- 23:24a Sunday night.
- 23:25So that one kind of fell by the
- 23:27wayside.
- 23:27But I really want to catch the rest
- 23:29of it.
- 23:31uh moxon was in uh varsity blues varsity
- 23:35blues not front of the lights different
- 23:41type same same but different yeah but
- 23:44front of the lights was one of my
- 23:45favorite shows i never missed an episode
- 23:48um really enjoyed it and late season gave
- 23:52us the first appearance of michael b
- 23:53jordan yeah there you go
- 23:57A lot of people from that show have
- 23:59gone on to do big things.
- 24:01Michael Jordan in particular,
- 24:04when I started watching older movies back
- 24:06again,
- 24:07you realize he's in a lot of stuff.
- 24:10Like a lot, a lot of stuff.
- 24:11Stuff that you don't necessarily recognize
- 24:13him in as being Michael B. Jordan.
- 24:15Like he's not Killmonger or he's not,
- 24:16you know,
- 24:17whatever the other people that he's
- 24:20played.
- 24:20And you're like, oh, oh yeah,
- 24:22he was in that too.
- 24:24Oh, he was in that too.
- 24:25Oh, he was in that too.
- 24:27That dude gets around.
- 24:28I mean, he's a good actor.
- 24:29Don't get me wrong, but he gets around.
- 24:31When the kid that played Landry in Friday
- 24:34Night Lights went on to be Breaking Bad,
- 24:36he won an Oscar in that weird alien
- 24:41movie with...
- 24:44You know that girl with the alien movie.
- 24:46With the face and she's got ears and
- 24:48stuff.
- 24:49There was aliens involved.
- 24:50Emma Stone.
- 24:52Emma Stone.
- 24:56Recently you talking about?
- 24:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:58Like he won the Academy Award like last
- 25:00year.
- 25:00The guy who played Landry.
- 25:01Okay.
- 25:02And he won it for that movie.
- 25:03I don't know.
- 25:04Hmm.
- 25:09It don't matter.
- 25:10It really, really doesn't.
- 25:12One of my favorite shows.
- 25:13Just wanted to highlight that.
- 25:15And then I tried to get through all
- 25:18of the Bruce Edwards speech at Coaches
- 25:23Conference.
- 25:26I did not.
- 25:29Thank you, Kate.
- 25:30His name is Jesse Plemons.
- 25:33And if you thought Walter White was bad
- 25:35in Breaking Bad,
- 25:37he played an even more evil dude.
- 25:40Yeah, he did.
- 25:42Yeah, he did.
- 25:44And not even close.
- 25:45Yeah.
- 25:47Yeah, if you need a weird,
- 25:48goofy blonde guy in a movie, KDL,
- 25:51Jesse Plemons is your man.
- 25:52He's your guy.
- 25:56He is the Steve Buscemi of his era.
- 26:02shout out to steve buscemi i think he's
- 26:03a good dude i agree kate incredible actor
- 26:10so i did i did try to get
- 26:11through the bruce edwards uh speech at
- 26:14coaches congress it was actually a panel
- 26:17uh so boz talked ollie talked um chase
- 26:21facilitated um
- 26:25a couple takeaways you want my take a
- 26:27good takeaways please because I didn't
- 26:28bother with it totally played to the home
- 26:31crowd of course and this took place in
- 26:35Europe in England I believe he that's
- 26:42where he made the quote the games has
- 26:43been in America for twenty years probably
- 26:45time for a change yeah
- 26:50When someone says I don't want to be
- 26:53cliche, they're always cliche.
- 26:56Every single time.
- 26:58And he said that a few times during
- 27:01his speech.
- 27:02And every time he said it,
- 27:03I was like, well,
- 27:04now we're getting a cliche because...
- 27:07It's like when people say,
- 27:08I don't want to offend you, but...
- 27:10I'm fixing to offend you.
- 27:12I'm fixing to lighten your ass behind some
- 27:15dumb shit.
- 27:17Um...
- 27:20He said that they need to focus on
- 27:22themselves and what they do best and not
- 27:25worry about all the stuff on the outside.
- 27:31Okay.
- 27:33That doesn't mean anything, but all right.
- 27:36And that sounds like some self-help shit.
- 27:39It's like a girlfriend that just got broke
- 27:41up.
- 27:42I'm just going to focus on me and
- 27:43what I'm working on right now.
- 27:45He can go do what he needs.
- 27:46I think it's cliche.
- 27:48It is.
- 27:50Like, it just,
- 27:52we can't focus on other people.
- 27:53We have to focus on ourselves.
- 27:55Yeah.
- 27:56But if you don't know what threats exist,
- 27:58how do you make decisions?
- 28:00You can't.
- 28:01Right?
- 28:04The other thing he said is that they're
- 28:05going to look for a more localized...
- 28:11a localized campaign.
- 28:13So like the marketing can't be universal
- 28:16anymore.
- 28:18It's got to be like,
- 28:20if you're going to market to people in
- 28:22Europe, it has to be like Europe centric.
- 28:28That's my paraphrasing of what I thought
- 28:30he said.
- 28:31So if they're going to market to people
- 28:32in Louisiana,
- 28:33they're going to have to speak in a
- 28:34really like an alligator and just that
- 28:37way.
- 28:37That's the only thing we understand.
- 28:39Like, I don't,
- 28:40Well,
- 28:40he said it didn't need to be
- 28:41country-specific,
- 28:42but more regionally specific,
- 28:44whatever that means.
- 28:55Sorry, I'm just reading.
- 28:55And he said that that's marketing,
- 28:57that's education, that's all of that.
- 29:03And then there was a question asked about,
- 29:05well, the games...
- 29:07have not been successful since we went
- 29:09away from regionals.
- 29:11What is the plan for the games?
- 29:13Blah, blah, blah.
- 29:15And, and I say that blah, blah, blah.
- 29:17Cause I didn't like the answer.
- 29:19Bob has actually answered the question.
- 29:24And he said that he was around during
- 29:26the regional days and regionals was about
- 29:31like you had a guy from your gym
- 29:33who made regionals and the community would
- 29:35come support that person.
- 29:37And he doesn't think that the elite
- 29:39athletes are working out enough in the
- 29:40affiliates for that to matter anymore.
- 29:46And so their answer to that is the,
- 29:51um,
- 29:53The overseas, not the overseas,
- 29:56the national champions.
- 29:58Having the local national champion
- 30:01competitions that Dave brought up on his
- 30:04week in review because that will bring
- 30:07people competing for your national
- 30:09championship will bring people to the
- 30:11events.
- 30:12I'm moving to Micronesia.
- 30:17Corey Leonard.
- 30:19Well, you're still not from there,
- 30:22so you can't just move there and say
- 30:24you're there.
- 30:25If I get citizenship, I can.
- 30:33That's a silly concept.
- 30:35I think here's a short-sightedness.
- 30:38I think because we don't have regionals
- 30:41anymore with people from that region
- 30:44getting into that competition,
- 30:47and it's now become like half a country
- 30:50semifinal,
- 30:52that you don't get the people because of
- 30:55that.
- 30:56And you allow people to enter all of
- 30:58them to take up spaces for everybody else.
- 31:03What made regionals beautiful was that,
- 31:07yeah,
- 31:07there were probably there were forty
- 31:08people that got brought in for regionals.
- 31:11About twenty of them were competing for
- 31:13the games and the other twenty were just
- 31:15so pumped to be there.
- 31:17Yep.
- 31:18And maybe they could hit a home run.
- 31:20And those were the people that the
- 31:21community came out and supported.
- 31:23Yeah,
- 31:24because you can go back to your gym
- 31:25later and be like, yeah,
- 31:27I didn't make the games,
- 31:28but I beat Rich Froning on whatever
- 31:31workout.
- 31:33I was in the lane right next to
- 31:34him the entire time.
- 31:36Like I beat, you know,
- 31:37I was rep for rep with Scott Patrick
- 31:39until I wasn't.
- 31:41like that's a claim to fame dude where
- 31:44i'm where i'm where i'm at like i
- 31:45can go back and say some like that
- 31:47absolutely so patrick o'connell who is
- 31:50christy o'connell's husband competed at
- 31:53regional seven times the highlight of his
- 31:56career was doing the hundreds workout in
- 32:01the same heat with graham rich dan marcus
- 32:08all those people in the central east to
- 32:10this day that's what he talks about is
- 32:11this highlight yeah he didn't win that
- 32:13event but he got to compete with those
- 32:16guys in the hundreds during that time
- 32:20Because we're laying over this new,
- 32:24and not that we can afford to go
- 32:26back to regionals again.
- 32:27I'm not even saying that.
- 32:29But to say that the reason we're not
- 32:32doing that is because the community won't
- 32:34come support people because they don't
- 32:36work out in the affiliates anymore is just
- 32:38wrong.
- 32:40It's because of the structure of today
- 32:42doesn't allow for that.
- 32:44Doesn't mean the structure back then
- 32:45didn't.
- 32:49It's a, it's a,
- 32:49and I never thought I'd hear myself use
- 32:53this word in a, in an actual sentence,
- 32:56but it's a very obtuse way of looking
- 32:57at things because it's,
- 33:00Well, nobody's coming to that.
- 33:02Nobody's going to go to that because they
- 33:04don't work out anymore.
- 33:05Well,
- 33:05you're not giving the people who do work
- 33:07out and who do train in their affiliates
- 33:09an opportunity to go to regionals and see
- 33:12who comes to support them by automatically
- 33:15saying that, well,
- 33:16they're just not doing that because the
- 33:18elites aren't.
- 33:20Maybe some of the elites are,
- 33:21but some of the people who are making
- 33:23it to the semifinals who are regular gym
- 33:25people,
- 33:26do you think they're just in training
- 33:27camps the entire time?
- 33:28Yeah, no, the big guys, I understand that.
- 33:31The guys,
- 33:33the Jason Hoppers and whoever else you
- 33:35want to throw out there, yes.
- 33:38Are they doing class workouts?
- 33:39No, not necessarily.
- 33:40But some of these other dudes who are
- 33:43what would be considered back in the day
- 33:45regionals-level competitors,
- 33:49And that's where they would be going.
- 33:52Instead of having to see if they can
- 33:53travel to a semifinal,
- 33:55they would be just hitting up their local
- 33:56regional if they qualified for it.
- 33:57And then the people from their gym who
- 33:59know them, who see them,
- 34:00who are in their community,
- 34:02generally speaking,
- 34:04would go travel to see them because that's
- 34:06how it used to be.
- 34:07And whenever you took that away from them,
- 34:09then yeah,
- 34:10of course they're not going to go because
- 34:11there's nowhere for them to go.
- 34:14Can I tell you what the most frustrating
- 34:15thing for me is about this speech that
- 34:17I listened to?
- 34:19Is CrossFit is telling me this is what
- 34:24I should care about.
- 34:26Yep.
- 34:27We're going to put out a national
- 34:29championship all over the world.
- 34:33And you should care about being a national
- 34:38champion.
- 34:41Why?
- 34:41We're going to create a community cup.
- 34:44And it's going to have levels.
- 34:45And you're going to get to compete against
- 34:47people in your own divisions.
- 34:49And this is what you should care about.
- 34:54Nobody cared.
- 34:57Not even CrossFit cared.
- 34:59That's going to be my next point.
- 35:02Because they did not promote it.
- 35:03They did not talk about it.
- 35:04They did not.
- 35:06Dave talked about it in his weekend review
- 35:07because people asked him about it.
- 35:10But that's about as far as they went.
- 35:13I know more people that did the service
- 35:17cup than did the community cup.
- 35:22The people are going to tell you what
- 35:24they care about,
- 35:26and you should not avoid that in favor
- 35:29of things that you think they should care
- 35:31about.
- 35:32That is a fact.
- 35:39That's what's been frustrating for me.
- 35:45Whereas David Johnson said he's going to
- 35:46move to Italy and compete at eating pasta.
- 35:50That's a solid, solid plan there, David.
- 35:56Steve,
- 35:56can anyone quote what CrossFit's current
- 35:58mission statement is?
- 35:59I can't.
- 36:00I think mission statements are stupid.
- 36:02Yeah, they do.
- 36:04Because most times they're just words that
- 36:06mean nothing.
- 36:08It is a word salad thrown together by
- 36:11people who are in marketing specifically
- 36:13to make that kind of general broad general
- 36:16statement.
- 36:18We're going to change the world.
- 36:20Did you soon put up with old boy
- 36:21say we're going to get thirty million
- 36:23CrossFitters?
- 36:23No, you're not.
- 36:24Stop saying that.
- 36:27Yeah, it's.
- 36:29If you create a an environment where
- 36:33everybody has buy in.
- 36:36You don't need a mission statement because
- 36:37everybody's on board.
- 36:43The minute I go to like a work
- 36:46function and they're like,
- 36:48we're going to come up with a new
- 36:49mission statement.
- 36:50I'm just like,
- 36:51you just wasted my damn day.
- 36:55Good for you.
- 36:56Let me know what happens when you,
- 36:57when that,
- 36:58let me know when it does so I
- 36:59can not care about it then.
- 37:02Because after that meeting and you put it
- 37:03on some new memo, whatever.
- 37:08Oh,
- 37:08they put it on their letterhead and all
- 37:10that bullshit.
- 37:11Put it on the letterhead.
- 37:12They put it on their email signature.
- 37:14I'm not going to hear it ever again.
- 37:16No.
- 37:17And it's going to blend into the
- 37:18background.
- 37:19It's just a thing.
- 37:27I would contend that if written correctly,
- 37:29it gets people watching the same bloody
- 37:31movie.
- 37:37We are same, same, same, same,
- 37:41but different, but still same.
- 37:47But still same.
- 37:53Yeah.
- 37:54It's one of my favorite clips.
- 37:56The mission statement may change,
- 37:57but we're still the damn same company.
- 38:03It's the best way to prevent chronic
- 38:06disease and chronic ailment and keep you
- 38:09healthy for an entire lifetime.
- 38:12That's it.
- 38:12You don't need a statement.
- 38:15So I want to be optimistic about Bruce
- 38:18taking over and getting back to whatever
- 38:22we need to get back to and whatever.
- 38:29I'm losing my optimism.
- 38:34Because I'm seeing the same shit we've
- 38:36seen with the last two CEOs.
- 38:40If in three months,
- 38:41Bruce comes out and says,
- 38:42we need to get twenty five million
- 38:44CrossFitters like people in CrossFit,
- 38:46then like it's that's over.
- 38:48Right.
- 38:48It's just the same.
- 38:50Like somebody's got to from whatever
- 38:54private equity firm has got.
- 38:57A little string installed on the back of
- 38:59him.
- 38:59He's going to pull that and just get
- 39:01him to say whatever they want him to
- 39:02say and just roll right along because he's
- 39:04got no real problem.
- 39:06So he said in this thing that he
- 39:08turned them down five times because he
- 39:10didn't want it to be a pump and
- 39:12dump.
- 39:13Yeah.
- 39:15Probably didn't use that term exactly,
- 39:16but...
- 39:21And so it took them convincing for him
- 39:25to believe they could do something and all
- 39:28of that.
- 39:34I don't know.
- 39:35I don't know.
- 39:36I just don't know.
- 39:37No.
- 39:41Back in the day,
- 39:42we would all stand behind anything
- 39:43CrossFit proposed.
- 39:44These days, it is not so.
- 39:47And I think that's the change CrossFit
- 39:49needs to realize.
- 39:50There are lots of points of view out
- 39:51there now.
- 39:55The reason was because it was one guy
- 39:57that was in charge of the company who
- 39:59was saying things that made sense.
- 40:01Even the shit that he said that didn't
- 40:03necessarily make sense.
- 40:04People were like,
- 40:05that sounds like a good idea.
- 40:06Like he wants to take down big sugar.
- 40:08Okay.
- 40:08Good luck.
- 40:09I don't think that's going to work,
- 40:10but we can understand where it's coming
- 40:14from.
- 40:14And now you get people saying stuff like.
- 40:17That's the point I've been screaming to
- 40:18the hell.
- 40:19I'm going to get thirty million
- 40:20crossfitters.
- 40:20No, you're not.
- 40:21That's ridiculous.
- 40:22That's absolutely that's not a good
- 40:24thought.
- 40:25And it's it's the same kind of stuff
- 40:28that just gets regurgitated on down every
- 40:30single night in just some sort of
- 40:31different fashion.
- 40:32Right.
- 40:36Mission statement or no mission statement.
- 40:39they're people aren't listening to what
- 40:41they're saying because what they're saying
- 40:43makes no sense and they know that private
- 40:45equity is really who's ultimately in
- 40:46charge at this point what greg created and
- 40:54what greg built initially was amazing sure
- 40:58but the downfall of crossfit wasn't
- 41:00private equity it began in when there was
- 41:04a radical change to the way crossfit did
- 41:07things
- 41:08And that was while Greg was at the
- 41:10helm.
- 41:13Yeah, we fired the whole media team.
- 41:16And he turned the keys over to a
- 41:17CEO that was not qualified to do so.
- 41:23I think,
- 41:24and Sivan has plugged this a million
- 41:28times, right?
- 41:28But he said they were a media company.
- 41:32They were putting out stuff that was
- 41:35actually working,
- 41:37was actually getting to people and getting
- 41:39people to come sign up,
- 41:40getting people to open affiliates and all
- 41:42of that stuff.
- 41:42And all of a sudden,
- 41:43let's just take all that away.
- 41:45I know this is what's been working for
- 41:47the past, you know, ten, twelve years,
- 41:50however long it had been at that point.
- 41:52We're not going to do that anymore.
- 41:54And not just we're going to slow it
- 41:55down or we're going to go in a
- 41:57slightly different direction.
- 41:58Just remove the whole thing.
- 42:01I mean, for Christ's sake,
- 42:02Morrison said they weren't even in the
- 42:03country when they got the call.
- 42:06And they shut down all the social media.
- 42:08All of it.
- 42:09Except Twitter.
- 42:10Right.
- 42:12All of it.
- 42:13Because of one thing that happened like in
- 42:16Africa,
- 42:19he got paranoid because of Facebook's
- 42:21reaction to it.
- 42:23Got so paranoid about it all that he
- 42:25shut it all down.
- 42:33it's it's and i think part of that
- 42:35is why nowadays like people are still
- 42:37skeptical whenever they say stuff because
- 42:39he pulled the rug out from everybody
- 42:42wasn't just people that worked there right
- 42:45the people who were along at that point
- 42:47felt like they were a part of the
- 42:48entire thing so when all of a sudden
- 42:51it all gets shut down at once like
- 42:53i said except twitter
- 42:55then everybody has their road pulled off
- 42:57and you're sitting there going left going
- 43:00what what what what just took place are
- 43:05we talking about the sport or the
- 43:07methodology yes yes yeah anyway yeah
- 43:17that's what i got out of that that
- 43:19thing i better you didn't i didn't even
- 43:24I didn't even bother with it.
- 43:25I really didn't get how much time's left
- 43:28on this thing.
- 43:30I have six minutes left to watch.
- 43:33Maybe that's the last six minutes.
- 43:35Maybe this last six minutes is going to
- 43:37change my mind.
- 43:38It's going to be so earth shattering.
- 43:43But that's right.
- 43:46Meg's going back to her transitioning.
- 43:48She wants everybody to have a great day.
- 43:50Taco Tuesday.
- 43:53Good luck with your transition, Meg.
- 43:56Actually, Joseph,
- 43:57good luck with Meg's transition.
- 44:06David Reed, in twenty eighteen,
- 44:07the restructuring was one part of the
- 44:08issue of the Reebok dispute,
- 44:10NSCA legal fight and the CrossFit
- 44:16infiltrate issue all contributed to where
- 44:18we are.
- 44:20There's never just one reason.
- 44:21No.
- 44:23But the thing that has upset me is
- 44:27everybody points to twenty twenty when
- 44:30private equity took over.
- 44:32This started falling apart prior to twenty
- 44:34twenty.
- 44:36Yeah,
- 44:36the private equity was a result less than
- 44:40a.
- 44:43a cause at that point like it's a
- 44:45symptom that's why we ended up where we
- 44:48are because of all of those things but
- 44:52i think most people would probably point
- 44:53to the first domino falling is when you
- 44:55take out all of the stuff that we
- 44:58actually that they were actually doing i
- 45:00say we like i work there you take
- 45:02away all the stuff that they were actually
- 45:03doing all the media stuff and just pull
- 45:06it all overnight that's a problem
- 45:11Yeah.
- 45:13It just, it just got weird, man.
- 45:18And then your company that wanted to
- 45:20invest in CrossFit in twenty eighteen.
- 45:23Sure.
- 45:25They wanted to take it another level up.
- 45:27And I don't know why the decision was
- 45:30made to blow it all up at that
- 45:32point instead of take them take.
- 45:37Money, I don't I don't know.
- 45:41I don't know.
- 45:41It's very counterintuitive in my brain.
- 45:43I don't think anybody understands why.
- 45:45Greg didn't have his reasons, but... Yeah.
- 45:48I don't think anybody truly understands
- 45:49why that took place.
- 45:50So there's that.
- 45:56If Greg was not removed,
- 45:57would we still be in this hole?
- 45:58Yes.
- 46:00I think so.
- 46:04And I'm not dogging on the guy.
- 46:06The guy did amazing things.
- 46:08Not at all.
- 46:09But the company was on the decline prior
- 46:15to him leaving.
- 46:19Now, without private equity and Just Greg,
- 46:22could he make some unilateral decisions to
- 46:25get it back up?
- 46:27Sure.
- 46:28That's a lot easier than getting a board
- 46:31to agree to get it back up.
- 46:34Especially a board that all they give a
- 46:36shit about is the numbers.
- 46:41I think – They don't care about the
- 46:47people.
- 46:47They don't care about the affiliates.
- 46:48They don't care about the internet and
- 46:49stuff.
- 46:49That's an easy narrative to throw out
- 46:51there because we don't know these people.
- 46:53No, we don't know these people.
- 46:55But traditionally speaking,
- 46:57private equity,
- 46:58they care about wins and losses, money in,
- 47:01money out, that type of stuff.
- 47:05It's different if it's –
- 47:07if it's your company that you built and
- 47:09then somebody bought it and then they're
- 47:10just going to do whatever the hell they
- 47:11want with it, as opposed to you going,
- 47:13no, I don't want to do that.
- 47:14I want to do this.
- 47:15Once you sell out, that's a wrap.
- 47:16You can't do a damn thing about it.
- 47:17And they're going to do whatever the hell
- 47:19they want to do.
- 47:20And if they didn't have a vested interest
- 47:22in actually what was going on inside of
- 47:24your company, they just saw a profit,
- 47:28chance then nine times out of ten once
- 47:31they and they can go well i can
- 47:33sell it for a slight loss whatever take
- 47:35the tax uh you know tax break from
- 47:37from selling for a loss later on and
- 47:38then going about their business and
- 47:39they're not going to give a about it
- 47:40why would they here's what so i it's
- 47:51really easy to blame private equity
- 47:53because they're the nameless faces right
- 47:55behind this whole thing
- 47:58I also think that the guy who duped
- 48:02us into thinking that he bought the
- 48:05company when he really didn't put any
- 48:07money into it and then had all these
- 48:11lofty goals and he was the face of
- 48:15CrossFit when he really shouldn't have
- 48:17been.
- 48:19His name's on my old one.
- 48:23Made us feel like it was all private
- 48:25equity because of the change at the time.
- 48:28Yeah.
- 48:30His name's on my old one.
- 48:31That still bothers me.
- 48:35If you're a good private equity company,
- 48:38you want the company to succeed.
- 48:40The last thing you want to do is
- 48:43drive it into the ground because then it's
- 48:45not resellable.
- 48:49Yeah,
- 48:49you want to resell it at some point,
- 48:51but you don't want to drive it into
- 48:53the ground before you do it and lose
- 48:55money on your investment.
- 48:57So generally private equity is trying to
- 49:01do the right thing to make the company
- 49:04grow.
- 49:09Trying.
- 49:09I'm not saying that they would have been
- 49:11successful, but that is the effort.
- 49:15I don't think – no, I'm with you.
- 49:17I don't think they're intentionally trying
- 49:19to drive it into the ground by stretching
- 49:20imagination.
- 49:21No.
- 49:23I mean, if they were,
- 49:24they probably wouldn't have investors and
- 49:26have a private equity company.
- 49:28Right.
- 49:31But anyway.
- 49:35All fitness trends have a bell curve.
- 49:37Young adults are always looking for the
- 49:38next shiny penny.
- 49:42I will say this.
- 49:47One of my guilty pleasures is The Amazing
- 49:48Race.
- 49:49It's something that I've always wanted to
- 49:50do in my life is go on that
- 49:52show.
- 49:55There were CrossFitters on there last
- 49:56night.
- 49:57Then I watched it.
- 49:58It was actually like last week, but...
- 50:02Last night, last week.
- 50:03Same thing.
- 50:03And you know,
- 50:04I find myself when I see CrossFitters on
- 50:06these shows,
- 50:07like to root for the CrossFitter.
- 50:09Every time.
- 50:10And of course, they got eliminated.
- 50:13They could be a horrible person in real
- 50:15life, and I would still be like,
- 50:17I mean, but they've done praying.
- 50:21So they were really good at the physical
- 50:23activities.
- 50:25They just couldn't read Spanish very well.
- 50:28Oh.
- 50:33So they ended up taking the train to
- 50:36the wrong side of the city instead of
- 50:38the other side because they went to like
- 50:40Puerto Vicer instead of Puerto Vicer.
- 50:47So they went to the beach instead of
- 50:48the sun?
- 50:51Whatever.
- 50:53We were on the opposite ends of the
- 50:55train track.
- 50:55Basically,
- 50:56we went as far to the one direction
- 50:59that was in the wrong way as they...
- 51:04And then they had to get back on
- 51:05and take the train the whole way to
- 51:06the other side.
- 51:08Well, I mean, any CrossFitter, I tell you,
- 51:10math is hard.
- 51:11And apparently for some of them,
- 51:13reading is also.
- 51:15And when I was a coach,
- 51:16most of the CrossFitters couldn't read the
- 51:17instructions or the workout.
- 51:18It's not that they can't read the
- 51:20instructions.
- 51:21They don't listen to the instructions.
- 51:22There's a big difference there.
- 51:24Trust me.
- 51:25I coach twice a week at a minimum.
- 51:29Yeah, they know physical,
- 51:31not matching letters to a sign.
- 51:32Yeah, that's accurate.
- 51:35This was what they actually said.
- 51:36They read Soul and Sir and said, oh,
- 51:39it must be a typo.
- 51:40Yeah.
- 51:42Yeah,
- 51:43because that's what The Amazing Race is
- 51:44about.
- 51:45You got to figure out the typo.
- 51:46You got to figure it out, dude.
- 51:48That's fantastic.
- 51:56You got your...
- 51:59Oh Lord, what is it?
- 52:01Your subscription returned back on for
- 52:04this weekend for crash.
- 52:05I guess you had it already for, uh,
- 52:06what you call it last weekend.
- 52:09So I didn't,
- 52:10I didn't do it for water Palooza cause
- 52:11I only missed two events and I had
- 52:14family in town.
- 52:15I'm actually going to be on my way
- 52:16to green Bay.
- 52:17Oh, yeah.
- 52:20So I don't know how much time I'm
- 52:22going to have to even watch it.
- 52:24Yeah.
- 52:26But Jamie and Carolyn are doing a wrap-up
- 52:28show.
- 52:29Sans, this dude, they're going solo,
- 52:32the two of them,
- 52:33to do a crash recap show on Sunday
- 52:36night.
- 52:36Okay.
- 52:38And hopefully Vicky's there to help run
- 52:39the show.
- 52:40That would be,
- 52:41I can tell you from experience from an
- 52:45hour ago, from fifty-two minutes ago,
- 52:48useful.
- 52:48It's helpful.
- 52:51It's helpful.
- 52:52It'll be interesting to see how it
- 52:54launched.
- 52:55I'm excited.
- 52:57I think they'll be fine.
- 52:59I think they'll be fine.
- 53:00This is a whole lot easier when you
- 53:01have somebody else to talk to.
- 53:03Like, the people that go on and just...
- 53:05If I had, like, two screens and, like,
- 53:08stuff to talk about and whatnot where I
- 53:09could pull stuff, you know,
- 53:11or have Vicky pull stuff,
- 53:12have her actually have stuff to pull would
- 53:15have been one thing.
- 53:17But, I mean, it wasn't actually terrible.
- 53:23I know I sent her a Tik TOK
- 53:24link today, uh, in the group chat.
- 53:27I can't remember what it was,
- 53:29but I remember it was something I wanted
- 53:31to share.
- 53:33And hopefully it's funny.
- 53:34Oh, that'd be great.
- 53:36Hopefully it's not serious.
- 53:37Oh man.
- 53:43And I did have some stuff on Instagram,
- 53:45but with my day today,
- 53:46I didn't have time to get to it.
- 53:48It's fine.
- 53:50And, uh,
- 53:53And there was some funny...
- 53:54There was a Jameis in there.
- 53:55There was... I love that dude.
- 54:00I saw some hand signals.
- 54:01I don't know what...
- 54:02Did she flip me off or was she
- 54:04telling me that she can't get it or
- 54:06to move on?
- 54:08She said the dancing.
- 54:12Here's the thing, Vic.
- 54:13We don't know because Scott can't remember
- 54:15what was actually on it.
- 54:17I did that two hours ago.
- 54:18You expect me to remember?
- 54:20She said the dancing thing or the football
- 54:22thing.
- 54:24only sent her one link today is there
- 54:26yeah the one that was in our text
- 54:32yeah probably whatever you just showed us
- 54:34probably you know what just go with it
- 54:38let's call that good and just run with
- 54:39that why not all right i'm going to
- 54:43show the jamis winston thing because it
- 54:46cracked me up it did you see the
- 54:49celebration no
- 54:54So this is Jameis Winston celebrating a
- 54:56touchdown.
- 54:57Nineteen.
- 55:00Yes, Lord.
- 55:09Get it, bro.
- 55:13Love that dude.
- 55:15And then you think Guy is not athletic?
- 55:19Look at that jump, man.
- 55:21Oh, I never said he wasn't athletic.
- 55:23Good Lord.
- 55:26if i look that good doing anything i'd
- 55:30be i'd die happy man bro and then
- 55:36let's finish with this dude playing seven
- 55:40nation arm i'm gonna fight them all seven
- 55:50nation army couldn't hold me back
- 55:59How does he bow?
- 56:00That's a lot of weight, dude.
- 56:04He's doing a pretty decent job of it,
- 56:05too.
- 56:06He is.
- 56:08Into a one-on-one power snatch.
- 56:14Oh,
- 56:14Vicky says she can't pull up TikTok on
- 56:16that computer.
- 56:17Sorry.
- 56:19Cool.
- 56:20Yeah, here's the thing.
- 56:21Yeah.
- 56:25But why?
- 56:26But my question is always with people like
- 56:28that is that,
- 56:28does anybody tell him that he didn't have
- 56:30to do that?
- 56:31Because that's completely unnecessary.
- 56:35Like...
- 56:36Out of all the things that I've thought
- 56:39about doing that are pretty ridiculous,
- 56:41and that's a pretty long list of stuff,
- 56:43at no point I was like,
- 56:44you know what I ought to do is
- 56:46balance three-fifteen on my shoulders
- 56:49while playing guitar and singing.
- 56:53That sounds like a pretty good idea.
- 56:56That's the first sign you're getting
- 56:57pushed out, Scott.
- 56:58Yeah,
- 56:58that you guys started the show without me
- 57:00and the girls doing this week.
- 57:02Like two things in one week.
- 57:06That's a wrap.
- 57:07Soon it'll be lunch with the Clydes girls.
- 57:10Lunch with the Clydes girls.
- 57:13La, la, la, la, something.
- 57:19La, la, la, la, something.
- 57:22Okay, that's the quote of the day.
- 57:24I know she already made the thumbnails,
- 57:25but that's the quote of the week.
- 57:28La la la la something.
- 57:30La la la la something.
- 57:33And how do you know you can do
- 57:34that and not die?
- 57:39Dude, I had, I'll never forget this,
- 57:43back squatting in class one day.
- 57:45I got up underneath it,
- 57:46and I don't remember how much I had
- 57:47on.
- 57:47It didn't really matter.
- 57:49As soon as I unracked it and stood
- 57:51up, it felt funny, right?
- 57:53Like one side was, something was wrong.
- 57:56And I thought I was just uncentered,
- 57:58right?
- 57:59So, like,
- 57:59I popped it up and just kind of
- 58:01moved it over a little bit.
- 58:03And my friend Haley,
- 58:05who used to be a coach at a
- 58:06gym, said,
- 58:07hey –
- 58:08You're off like you're like it's off and
- 58:10I said, yeah, no,
- 58:11it does feel weird and I squatted it
- 58:12like three times Before she finally came
- 58:15up and said you're missing a plate on
- 58:18one side idiot and I was like,
- 58:20oh Yeah,
- 58:22I knew that So like I did that
- 58:24on accident.
- 58:26I cannot imagine going.
- 58:27You know what I ought to do Let's
- 58:29put three hundred fifteen pounds in the
- 58:30bar See if I can get a balance
- 58:32on my and then do something else while
- 58:34i'm doing that
- 58:36three other things as a matter of fact
- 58:37like play guitar squat and sing there's no
- 58:42he's got the tick tock i'm ready i'm
- 58:45waiting for the surprise yeah hit it or
- 58:53not big whatever there we go oh yeah
- 59:01that's it mike tomlin
- 59:04it's not playing okay i can i can
- 59:07talk about it we don't need it up
- 59:08on the screen yeah so did you see
- 59:12that mike tomlin did a minute youtube
- 59:16showing off the minecraft city he built
- 59:19over a decade i didn't see it but
- 59:23i heard about it because people were
- 59:25complaining about talking about uh
- 59:28every time the saints lose is fire the
- 59:30coach right so like this morning on
- 59:32threads and a couple other places he's
- 59:34like it's time to go and somebody in
- 59:36the comments said i mean mike tomlin's out
- 59:39here just building minecraft cities like
- 59:40he apparently he's got free time on his
- 59:42hands maybe i should hire him instead
- 59:45So I just saw a clip of the
- 59:47video and he's like, well,
- 59:48I built this hotel.
- 59:49It's kind of a bougie hotel.
- 59:51It's kind of like he went like deep
- 59:54analytics into this nineteen minute video
- 59:57of a Minecraft city.
- 1:00:00He took ten years to build.
- 1:00:03Jeez.
- 1:00:06It must be his centering thing during bad
- 1:00:10weeks of being a coach.
- 1:00:13It's probably an escape.
- 1:00:14I can just go do that.
- 1:00:15The furthest thing from his mind is
- 1:00:17football at that point.
- 1:00:23His record before Minecraft was invented
- 1:00:26and his record after Minecraft was
- 1:00:28invented.
- 1:00:32That's good stuff right there.
- 1:00:35All right, guys.
- 1:00:37That's enough.
- 1:00:37Sorry I was late.
- 1:00:39Tomorrow, it's sketchy.
- 1:00:41My furniture's being delivered.
- 1:00:43I got to find out what my window
- 1:00:45is.
- 1:00:46Right now,
- 1:00:46my four-hour window is noon to four.
- 1:00:50Naturally.
- 1:00:51So I got to find out when the
- 1:00:52narrow down window is.
- 1:00:54And either we'll do a show where we
- 1:00:56won't.
- 1:00:57I don't know.
- 1:00:58So they give you a broad and then
- 1:01:01like a narrow down,
- 1:01:02like maybe it'll be here between twelve
- 1:01:04and four.
- 1:01:05Maybe it'll be here between three and
- 1:01:07four.
- 1:01:07The two day is a noon and four.
- 1:01:11And then tomorrow morning I'll get a
- 1:01:12tracker.
- 1:01:13Oh,
- 1:01:15where I can actually track the delivery
- 1:01:17truck.
- 1:01:18Fancy.
- 1:01:20And then that'll give me an idea of
- 1:01:22the exact time they're coming.
- 1:01:24I hope it's better than tracking where my
- 1:01:26damn shoes are because they still haven't
- 1:01:30left in California, apparently.
- 1:01:35Awesome.
- 1:01:36I'm trying not to complain because they're
- 1:01:38free shoes,
- 1:01:38but I am that dude who's like,
- 1:01:40anytime I buy something,
- 1:01:42as soon as I get tracking information,
- 1:01:43I know exactly where it's at the entire
- 1:01:45time.
- 1:01:47So, like, I love my free shoes.
- 1:01:49I am a huge fan of strikes,
- 1:01:50and these things look awesome.
- 1:01:53Yeah.
- 1:01:53At least they didn't say they're showing
- 1:01:54up between eight and eight.
- 1:01:56I've gotten those before.
- 1:01:57Yeah.
- 1:02:00I have.
- 1:02:00Like, it'll be here Friday.
- 1:02:02I'm like, dude,
- 1:02:03Friday's twenty-four hours long.
- 1:02:04He's like, yeah, I know.
- 1:02:05Have fun.
- 1:02:06And now you're just going about their
- 1:02:07business.
- 1:02:08That's annoying.
- 1:02:10All right, Vic, take us out.
- 1:02:12He wouldn't wait to get to the editing
- 1:02:14room to jazz me up.
- 1:02:16I'm already jazzy.
- 1:02:27Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the
- 1:02:28saddle.
- 1:02:29Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the
- 1:02:31saddle.
- 1:02:31Talking to reps,
- 1:02:32real life strength in the battle.
- 1:02:35From the gym to the screen, yeah,
- 1:02:37we cover it all.
- 1:02:40Midday motivation every time we press
- 1:02:42call.
- 1:02:45Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy,
- 1:02:46bring the heat.
- 1:02:47Crossfit, movies, music on repeat.
- 1:02:49Half hour hustle, yeah,
- 1:02:50we building that brand.
- 1:02:51Grab a plate,
