How Do I Trust My Income When My Business Feels Inconsistent? · Intuitive Coaching with Amy Radio

  Speaker 1: trust income when business feels inconsistent? Well, there's a couple
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: of things going on here. Number one, there's a common
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: belief that if you're in business, your income has to
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: be inconsistent. And business is hard, and therefore income is hard,
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: and so you have to unprogram that. That's really what
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: it comes down to you is that you have to
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: start believing that income can be consistent in your business.
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: And so that's one piece. You have to trust that
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: income can be consistent in my business and you have
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: to just change your mind around that one. And then
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: you start acting that way. You start as you start
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: to really believe it, you start to look approach your
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: business from a place of Okay, what can I do?
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: What can I do? What can I do so that
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: income is consistent? And I think every business has to
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: figure that out for themselves, right. And then the second
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: part is you have to stop seeing fluctuations as an
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: indicator of your future. I know, again it's very common
• 1:39
  Speaker 1: business quote unquote wisdom to think, well, this must mean something,
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: but it doesn't like everything ebbs and flows. But if
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: you accept that, you're going to find that when things
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: ebb is the time to work on things right, and
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: you're covered during those times. As you believe income gets
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: to be consistent in your business, you'll start to see
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: that those fluctuations, those natural ebbs and flows, don't have
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: to mean anything about the future of your business. Now,
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: if you've been in a long slow period that has
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: nothing to do with your business, and it probably means
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: there's something going on within you that's not being available
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: for customers and clients and sales. That's again not an
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: invitation to make yourself wrong. It's an invitation to do
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: some inquiry. Right, there's probably some story that you've made
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: up that's keeping you from showing up in the way
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: that you know or maybe you don't know. I think
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: you probably intuitively know. Yeah, you intuitively know how you're
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: supposed to be showing up, and some belief is keeping
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: you from doing so. So really looking at your business
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: and accepting accepting that, yeah, I got to make money
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: and I got to figure out a way to make
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: this work, and being creative about that, but you can't
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: be creative about that if you're still believing income has
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: to be inconsistent and that every time there's a slow
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: period in your business, it means that you're in support it,
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: you're failing, you're incapable, you're wrong for being in business
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: for yourself. And that is so common, so common. I mean,
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: I can't even tell you, like it's just like it's
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: common among people who aren't in business for themselves, I
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: should say. And so if you are a really sensitive person,
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: if you're surrounded by a lot of negative people, you
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: could just be perpetua that belief even as you are
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: giving your business your all. And so you've got to
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: start to build trust in yourself and trust in your business.
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: And that means showing up. It means being your best.
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: It means creating offers you believe in. It means being visible.
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: It means managing your fear and anxiety around business, around money,
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: around earning, and really being willing to let go of
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: the past right so you can move forward. And yeah,
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: there's some emotional maturity that has to occur. Like if
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: it's always a drama, then it's always a drama. And
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: I'm not saying any of this is easy. You have
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: to work at it. And again, we're built. We live
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: in a world that's been built to tell us business
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: is hard, income is inconsistent when you're in business for yourself,
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: and it's not safe, and that every ebb and flow
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: means something like, oh my god, things are slow. So
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: it means it's going to be slow forever. No, it
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: probably means there's some change maybe that might need to
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: be taking that might need to take place. But yeah,
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: I definitely was one that carried these beliefs around for
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: a very very very very long time, and I had
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: to work them out, and I continue to work them out,
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: and they rear their heads and then I have to say, no, no, no,
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: I don't have to believe that, right, And so I
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: think that's why it's really important, really really really important.
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: I held on to these beliefs for as long as
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: I did because I was in environment where people spoke
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: poorly of business or thought this about business. And if
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: I had just gotten away from those situations those people,
• 6:14
  Speaker 1: I would have got to these conclusions a lot faster. Right,
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: But we don't know any better oftentimes, and so I say,
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: make sure you're surrounded by someone, an energy that supports you,
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: that tells you that, yes, you can succeed, and yes
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: you can trust yourself, and yes you can trust your business,
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: and that ebbs and flows are natural and normal, and
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: it's an opportunity to grow, it's an opportunity to prepare,
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: it's an opportunity to expand, and you're not You don't
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: have to be perfect at this, and you can still
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: make a living, a plentiful living doing so. And that's
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: why I do what I do because a lot of
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: the hard stuff we want to do in this life,
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: the things that will really make life fantastic, running a
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: business that feels good to you, being in a healthy, lasting,
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: loving relationship, we're not taught how to do those things,
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: or usually not the opposite of that, right, And then
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: we hold ourselves accountable to the standard that we don't
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: even have a mental emotional foundation to uphold. And so
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: you got to do that work. I wish it were different.
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: I wish it were different, but no, it really all
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: comes down to your internal your internal game around all
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: of this. There's no amount of hustling you can do
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: if you believe that income is going to be inconsistent
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: in your business. So I would say just starting here.
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: If you don't hire a coach or some get some support,
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: I would say, just start monitoring your mind. And one
• 7:57
  Speaker 1: phrase you need to let go of is I'm in
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: business for myself, So that must mean something bad around money. Oh,
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: money slow, Money's less than I can't be consistent, it's hard,
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: and that one is a practice. You have to practice
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: that one daily. Hope that's helpful. Okay. So I know
