- 1:20Speaker 3: And we met many years ago.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And then I.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Rediscovered your cute face telling juicy stories on Tik Tok.
- 1:28Speaker 5: And I'm so glad you're here.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Thanks for coming.
- 1:30Speaker 6: I'm honored to be here. I was like, before I start,
- 1:32Speaker 6: I had to tell you, you are a part of
- 1:34Speaker 6: like my gay awakening because- Love it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Nothing could be more flattering.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 6: I was going to say, I hope you appreciate this.
- 1:40Speaker 6: When I was growing up, like one of my favorite
- 1:42Speaker 6: books was I'll Never Blue Ball in This Town Again.
- 1:44Speaker 7: Really?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:45Speaker 3: You read it? Absolutely.
- 1:47Speaker 6: I did.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Oh my God. That is so nice.
- 1:49Speaker 6: And I wasn't out then, but I'm like, hello. I mean,
- 1:51Speaker 6: I'm reading your book and like, you know, the straight
- 1:53Speaker 6: guys are like, we're going to the football game in
- 1:55Speaker 6: high school. I'm like, I'm at home reading Heather MacDonald's book.
- 1:59Speaker 6: That's amazing. I love that. So you were a part
- 2:01Speaker 6: of my coming out journey. So thank you for that.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I always love it.
- 2:05Speaker 5: I always love it when a cute guy comes up
- 2:09Speaker 5: to me at a show and is like, my mom
- 2:11Speaker 5: and I used to watch.
- 2:12Speaker 3: And I'm like.
- 2:14Speaker 6: I hope that mom knew that if your son was.
- 2:16Speaker 5: 13 and staying up late to watch Chelsea Lately and
- 2:20Speaker 5: especially loving Heather MacDonald.
- 2:23Speaker 3: You have a fabulous gay son. There you go.
- 2:25Speaker 6: That was our whole environment in our house. And I
- 2:28Speaker 6: was like, you literally commented on one of my reels
- 2:30Speaker 6: when I went to go see Chelsea at her book signing.
- 2:33Speaker 6: And I got fired from my job at the time
- 2:37Speaker 6: because Chelsea gave my brother a shout out on the show.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Wait, I remember this whole story.
- 2:41Speaker 6: You commented on it and you're like, I wish I
- 2:43Speaker 6: would have known because I would have given you like
- 2:44Speaker 6: a shout. I would have said something like on the show. Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 6: I got fired from my job because I called out
- 2:49Speaker 6: rightfully so to do this. And somebody saw the picture
- 2:53Speaker 6: and I got fired from it.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Okay, wait.
- 2:54Speaker 3: So you had a job. What was the job?
- 2:56Speaker 6: I worked at the Phillies in Philadelphia.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 6: The Phillies, if anybody knows that, the baseball team. And
- 3:02Speaker 6: I worked like- I think people know the Phillies baseball team.
- 3:04Speaker 6: I was like, I don't know if your audience, I'm like,
- 3:05Speaker 6: you know, the gays, hey, it's the Phillies. It's the,
- 3:08Speaker 6: you know, baseball.
- 3:08Speaker 3: There's a small baseball team called the Phillies.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Yeah. Okay, yeah. And I once worked for them and
- 3:13Speaker 6: I worked like pitch them and tip them in like
- 3:16Speaker 6: the fun plex where like the kids would go in
- 3:19Speaker 6: there and I'm like- So I called out one day. Saying,
- 3:22Speaker 6: I'm sick. Yeah. To go do this book signing at
- 3:26Speaker 6: the Philadelphia Free Library with my mom and my brother. Okay.
- 3:30Speaker 6: And my brother, we got interviewed. And the interviewer from
- 3:33Speaker 6: the Philadelphia Inquirer was like, how is your son who's
- 3:37Speaker 6: 16 and your other son 13 love Chelsea Lately as
- 3:40Speaker 6: a mom? You let them stay up and watch it.
- 3:42Speaker 6: And that was the article, right? So scandalous. Yes. And
- 3:46Speaker 6: it got out there. And then Chelsea gave my brother
- 3:49Speaker 6: a shout out on the show at the time.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Yes. And I remember that episode.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Yes.
- 3:55Speaker 6: And people found out about it and they were like, well,
- 3:57Speaker 6: you weren't out. And I'm like, what? So a drunken
- 3:59Speaker 6: Delco mom got crazy and ran into the Funplex that day. Like,
- 4:03Speaker 6: what really could I have been doing differently that I
- 4:05Speaker 6: could not miss this opportunity?
- 4:07Speaker 4: Right. Like.
- 4:08Speaker 6: So yeah, I got fired for that moment.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And what a full circle moment to be here now.
- 4:12Speaker 6: And now I'm here on Juicy Scoop. I'm honored.
- 4:14Speaker 7: Amazing.
- 4:14Speaker 6: Yeah, so thank you for having me.
- 4:16Speaker 3: So let's just get a little history about you.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:19Speaker 3: After you lost your job.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I've come a long way.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Did you then go on to college?
- 4:26Speaker 6: Yes, I went to Temple University in Philadelphia. So I
- 4:29Speaker 6: stayed there. I grew up in New Jersey.
- 4:31Speaker 3: And how did you end up in the reality world?
- 4:34Speaker 6: Yeah. So I grew up like watching you on Chelsea lately.
- 4:37Speaker 6: I loved like the E! News era of E! So
- 4:41Speaker 6: I tried to finesse my way any way possible where
- 4:43Speaker 6: I was like, I need to get out of New
- 4:45Speaker 6: Jersey and Philadelphia and I need to get to Hollywood.
- 4:48Speaker 6: So my first job was working for E! on the
- 4:51Speaker 6: live from the red carpet show. And then I was like, OK,
- 4:54Speaker 6: I'm finessing my way into the newsroom. That's a couple
- 4:57Speaker 6: of floors above because I've always grown up watching it.
- 5:00Speaker 6: I grew up with like the Ryan Seacrest, the Juliana Rancic. Love. Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 6: And it was like such a time. I mean, you know,
- 5:06Speaker 6: you literally were there. Oh, it was the best.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 6: And I'm sad because I miss like the Wilshire building,
- 5:10Speaker 6: which I know was where you guys were at.
- 5:12Speaker 5: It was just such a, yes. And it was always
- 5:14Speaker 5: just weird. No, we weren't at the Wilshire building. I
- 5:16Speaker 5: would go there for other things. We were at, we
- 5:20Speaker 5: were at a building that we shared with Hulu.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Okay.
- 5:23Speaker 5: And we're like, Hulu, like that's never going to make it.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Like we were such assholes about this. That was at
- 5:28Speaker 5: Olympic and Bundy. And then she got her new deal
- 5:32Speaker 5: and we moved to Universal.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 5:34Speaker 3: And we took over the studio that Conan had had.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 5:37Speaker 5: And then it ended there. But like, which was better
- 5:40Speaker 5: for me because it was closer. But yes, that Wilshire
- 5:43Speaker 5: building was where it was.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Fashion police. You know, we knew other people that worked
- 5:49Speaker 5: on other shows and it was a golden era. Now
- 5:53Speaker 5: it might come back because it's coming back with the
- 5:56Speaker 5: golden life.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:59Speaker 5: And which is interesting that the girls are going all
- 6:03Speaker 5: going back to E. And I think that's a smart
- 6:05Speaker 5: move because now E is no longer part of Peacock.
- 6:08Speaker 3: So who knows?
- 6:09Speaker 5: It could be a whole new thing. It's kind of
- 6:11Speaker 5: reinventing itself, I think.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Well, that's why at that time when I really was like,
- 6:15Speaker 6: I want to work there, it was so lively. It
- 6:17Speaker 6: was just everything was going on. And then I was
- 6:20Speaker 6: at E!
- 6:21Speaker 5: News.
- 6:22Speaker 6: I worked on like Daily Pop and I was like,
- 6:24Speaker 6: I feel like this checks a box, but it doesn't
- 6:27Speaker 6: fully fit. Check everything like I loved pop culture. I
- 6:30Speaker 6: loved like reality TV. And I was like, I need
- 6:33Speaker 6: to get like my feet wet and I need to
- 6:35Speaker 6: get in here. And I thought being like young and
- 6:38Speaker 6: like being in TV, the jump from entertainment news is
- 6:41Speaker 6: going to be so easy to get into reality TV.
- 6:44Speaker 6: And then like I left that job. at a short
- 6:46Speaker 6: stint on this Lindsay Lohan post-production show for her short-lived
- 6:50Speaker 6: grease show, whatever that was called.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Oh my god, I just talked about that the other day.
- 6:55Speaker 3: She had a beach club, right?
- 6:57Speaker 6: Yeah, it was very short-lived. No good promotion. And it
- 7:00Speaker 6: was a one-season wonder. What was that?
- 7:04Speaker 5: Wait, so she moves to Greece or she had, they
- 7:07Speaker 5: just gave her a beach club. They just, they thought
- 7:09Speaker 5: you could be like Lisa Vanderpump, but with a beach club.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Essentially. That was the idea. Yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 6: It was like, let's do a Vanderpump rules.
- 7:15Speaker 5: And there's drama and someone misses their, their shift or
- 7:18Speaker 5: didn't fill the champagne bucket.
- 7:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 7: Okay.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I remember that.
- 7:21Speaker 6: Yeah. You know, big things like that. So I had
- 7:24Speaker 6: this like, you know, gig to work on like a
- 7:26Speaker 6: post clip show to promote it.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:28Speaker 6: And it was like six weeks. And then after that,
- 7:30Speaker 6: it was like crickets. Like, I didn't work in anything
- 7:33Speaker 6: because I was like, oh, my gosh, I have no
- 7:34Speaker 6: like you have to start over, you know, working from
- 7:37Speaker 6: entertainment news to get into the reality TV world. So
- 7:40Speaker 6: I'm just like, OK, this is more of a hustle
- 7:43Speaker 6: than I really thought it was going to be. So
- 7:45Speaker 6: months go by and my first reality TV credit was
- 7:48Speaker 6: Vanderpump Rules.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh. Wait, you know what?
- 7:51Speaker 5: Let's like jump to Vanderpump Rules. It's not wasn't my
- 7:55Speaker 5: original order. This article just came out. Jax Taylor, formerly
- 8:00Speaker 5: of Vanderpump Rules in the Valley, and Brittany Cartwright have
- 8:04Speaker 5: reached a custody deal with alcohol restrictions. We're all rooting
- 8:10Speaker 5: for Brittany. And they're coming back with the Valley. And
- 8:15Speaker 5: Lala and she are good friends. I'm good friends with Lala.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Lala has said Brittany's doing great and doing it, you know.
- 8:22Speaker 3: And I.
- 8:24Speaker 5: I did not stop following Jax. Has he disappeared off
- 8:27Speaker 5: of Instagram? I feel like we have not seen him.
- 8:30Speaker 6: I was going to say it's been very quiet from
- 8:32Speaker 6: what I've seen and like things that have come out.
- 8:34Speaker 6: But I always laugh because I feel like he is
- 8:38Speaker 6: who like what you see on the show is who
- 8:39Speaker 6: he is in real life. Like the first time that
- 8:42Speaker 6: that season that I worked on, it was the season
- 8:44Speaker 6: that they got married.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 6: And I was like, you know, oh, I'm going to
- 8:48Speaker 6: go on like all these fabulous trips and it's going
- 8:50Speaker 6: to be like. you know, I don't know, like the
- 8:53Speaker 6: beach or some something exotic. And I got flown to
- 8:56Speaker 6: the Kentucky Castle for my first. I'm like, oh, OK,
- 9:00Speaker 6: like this.
- 9:00Speaker 3: And how was that? Oh, I mean, so that was
- 9:03Speaker 3: their wedding.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Yes, that was their wedding.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I do remember there.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Was some controversy about the wedding that caused that contributed
- 9:12Speaker 5: to the cancellation of them. And I believe them getting
- 9:15Speaker 5: asked to leave the show. which was that their pastor
- 9:19Speaker 5: had a, um, without spoken about maybe not being as
- 9:25Speaker 5: accepting of gay people being married and being part.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Of the church.
- 9:29Speaker 3: That's what I recall.
- 9:30Speaker 6: I remember that. And the craziest thing was that the
- 9:33Speaker 6: week that we were there doing it, it was Lexington pride.
- 9:37Speaker 6: I'm like, I didn't even know Lexington like had a pride.
- 9:40Speaker 6: And I, I remember I went out with one of my, uh,
- 9:42Speaker 6: crew members, but, um, Was it a good pride?
- 9:46Speaker 3: Was it fun?
- 9:47Speaker 6: I mean, we're going to support, you know, the community,
- 9:49Speaker 6: but is it like West Hollywood where they go all out? No,
- 9:52Speaker 6: not necessarily. But I remember just the irony of that
- 9:57Speaker 6: happening with like the family and, you know, all this.
- 10:00Speaker 6: things with the pastor. And then I'm like, we're here
- 10:02Speaker 6: and this is Lexington Pride.
- 10:03Speaker 3: No, they didn't have the pastor, right?
- 10:06Speaker 6: They didn't. They decided.
- 10:07Speaker 3: They had Lance Bass then.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Yes, because Lance, that was the big thing. Like he
- 10:11Speaker 6: came in that season. He was at the wedding. But
- 10:13Speaker 6: I remember now that you're saying it, that was like
- 10:16Speaker 6: a thing that came out where like Everybody was like,
- 10:19Speaker 6: do they do it? Do they move forward with this person?
- 10:21Speaker 6: Like what?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:22Speaker 6: Yeah. But yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Was the wedding fun?
- 10:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 6: I mean, like, you know, you go into these shows
- 10:28Speaker 6: and you think like you're going to be like a
- 10:29Speaker 6: part of it or like get to enjoy it. And
- 10:31Speaker 6: I mean, you're sweating your ass off. I'm like, my
- 10:34Speaker 6: armpits are sweating. I got ass cracks wet. Like, you know,
- 10:36Speaker 6: I'm here doing this and you're watching it from above
- 10:39Speaker 6: and you're like, OK, it looks beautiful. But, you know,
- 10:41Speaker 6: you're not in the mix.
- 10:42Speaker 5: So in that time, your job, you are. Like, what,
- 10:46Speaker 5: hustling the talent, taking notes on the scenes? Like, what
- 10:51Speaker 5: is it like to be a reality show, like, producer?
- 10:54Speaker 6: Yeah, so for that, I was a segment producer. So, like, there's,
- 10:57Speaker 6: you know, so many. You got talent, segment, field. For
- 11:02Speaker 6: this particular show, I was a segment producer. And, you know,
- 11:05Speaker 6: what you do is usually clear location. So I remember, like,
- 11:08Speaker 6: that first time on Vanderpump Rules, like, it was my
- 11:12Speaker 6: first location. And we did it at El Compadre. And, um,
- 11:16Speaker 6: I remember they were like, you know, the crew, the
- 11:19Speaker 6: crew showed up at the wrong location. Like, what are
- 11:21Speaker 6: we going to do? We got to scramble. And like,
- 11:23Speaker 6: you know, this is my first one. You're like, shit,
- 11:24Speaker 6: what do I do? Like, so it's things like that
- 11:27Speaker 6: for segment where it's like, you know, you got to
- 11:29Speaker 6: make sure that like the crew's in there, they're getting,
- 11:32Speaker 6: you know, everything set up, you know, the talent's good
- 11:34Speaker 6: and stuff. But for Um, the Kentucky castle, there wasn't
- 11:37Speaker 6: really much for me to do at that point because
- 11:40Speaker 6: I already, you know, I had a supervising segment producer
- 11:43Speaker 6: and actual segment producer above me. And then I was
- 11:46Speaker 6: kind of bottom of the food chain. Um, but I remember,
- 11:50Speaker 6: you know, just kind of going along with the flow
- 11:52Speaker 6: and like just seeing what was happening. But I always
- 11:55Speaker 6: laugh because, um, that was like the first time that
- 11:58Speaker 6: I tried to open up my relationship when I went
- 12:01Speaker 6: on Vanderpump Rules.
- 12:03Speaker 3: What do you mean open up?
- 12:04Speaker 6: Like I was with my boyfriend.
- 12:05Speaker 5: And you were like, let's have an open relationship. Like
- 12:08Speaker 5: we could fool around with other people.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:10Speaker 6: So, and I remember I was like, not really into it,
- 12:14Speaker 6: but I'm like, okay, you know, as a gay, I
- 12:15Speaker 6: feel like it's a rite of passage that you need
- 12:17Speaker 6: to do this, right? Like, let's do it. So I
- 12:19Speaker 6: ended up going on Grindr, you know, you're in this
- 12:22Speaker 6: hotel room by yourself. And I start talking to this
- 12:25Speaker 6: guy and, And this guy is very, like, aggressive. And
- 12:29Speaker 6: he's asking about, like, my boyfriend at the time. And
- 12:33Speaker 6: I find to come out that he ended up finding
- 12:36Speaker 6: my boyfriend that I was dating. And my boyfriend and
- 12:39Speaker 6: him at the time were having, like, a secret thing
- 12:42Speaker 6: on the side because this guy found me on social
- 12:44Speaker 6: media while I was in Kentucky. And him and my
- 12:47Speaker 6: boyfriend had, like, this little, like, affair.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Like a little tryst.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Like sexting, like, social while I was in Kentucky. Kentucky
- 12:54Speaker 6: for this so I'm like yeah just like the irony
- 12:57Speaker 6: of like the gay whole pastor thing to tie it
- 13:00Speaker 6: back I'm like this was how my journey went because
- 13:03Speaker 6: I'm like you know it gets lonely when you're on
- 13:05Speaker 6: set sometimes and you're in the field and.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Now I was younger they are broken up now we
- 13:10Speaker 5: all watched it from home and you want to root
- 13:15Speaker 5: for them I liked them both separately and everything and
- 13:20Speaker 5: But the girl saw, poor Brittany, saw the whole experience
- 13:24Speaker 5: happen when he slept with the other girl, Faith, and
- 13:28Speaker 5: it all came out.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 13:29Speaker 3: And, you know, rotten hell.
- 13:31Speaker 5: So, you know, was there any, like, any doubt that
- 13:36Speaker 5: it's over with anybody being, like, rolling their eyes at
- 13:38Speaker 5: this wedding? Or was everybody, like, bells on, this marriage
- 13:41Speaker 5: is going to last forever?
- 13:43Speaker 6: I mean, I feel like I remember the consensus of, like,
- 13:45Speaker 6: the cast, like, the peers, like, you know, their... Because
- 13:50Speaker 6: I remember there was one time when I worked with
- 13:53Speaker 6: we were doing something at Hyde on Sunset and I
- 13:56Speaker 6: was segment producer for it. And Jax came in and
- 13:59Speaker 6: it was like, you know, man, everyone thinks that, you know,
- 14:02Speaker 6: we're against gay people. Like, I love gay people. There's
- 14:04Speaker 6: gay people at my wedding. And I'm like, I love
- 14:05Speaker 6: that he's saying it to like the one gay guy
- 14:07Speaker 6: that's on the crew and it's me. And I'm just like, yeah, like,
- 14:10Speaker 6: you know, I totally see it, you know. I never
- 14:12Speaker 6: got any vibes that they were homophobic.
- 14:16Speaker 3: No, absolutely not. I was just, oh, hey, this is
- 14:19Speaker 3: my pastor.
- 14:19Speaker 5: And nobody bothered to go, let me just make sure that,
- 14:24Speaker 5: you know, I could see why you didn't. A lot
- 14:27Speaker 5: of people that aren't famous, that are getting married, I
- 14:30Speaker 5: was at a wedding.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 5: And it was like a family, whatever, adjacent wedding. And
- 14:38Speaker 5: the pastor was, literally was saying kind of very non-inclusive
- 14:44Speaker 5: stuff yeah yeah and some of the other like like
- 14:47Speaker 5: we all had tension because we're all like i'm bothered
- 14:50Speaker 5: but then also i'm like i know my kids are
- 14:51Speaker 5: going to be bothered i know the cousins are bothered
- 14:53Speaker 5: like and then we're all like this is what are
- 14:56Speaker 5: you supposed to do yeah and i don't even think
- 14:58Speaker 5: that the bride and groom like thought about the whole
- 15:02Speaker 5: thing of what that could be like yeah so young.
- 15:04Speaker 3: People getting married You know, it's an important thing.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Like, just make sure that you're, because I don't think
- 15:10Speaker 5: it had, no, of course, I don't think either one
- 15:12Speaker 5: of them are at all homophobic at all.
- 15:15Speaker 3: No, definitely not.
- 15:16Speaker 6: And I mean, I think it's public knowledge because the
- 15:18Speaker 6: mom was very like, Brittany's mom on the show was like,
- 15:21Speaker 6: are you gay? Like, I think she like schooled Jax
- 15:23Speaker 6: on one of the episodes. Do you remember that? Where
- 15:25Speaker 6: she was like.
- 15:25Speaker 3: She asked Jax if he was gay?
- 15:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Remember when Jax had like the. The old man that
- 15:30Speaker 6: he worked with or lived with? And that came up
- 15:32Speaker 6: at one point. And I remember like while we were filming,
- 15:36Speaker 6: you know, there was issue because it was Lexington Pride.
- 15:38Speaker 6: I remember some people of her family like didn't want
- 15:41Speaker 6: to film at certain places because of it being so
- 15:45Speaker 6: close to the Gay Pride Festival. So, I mean, and
- 15:49Speaker 6: when I think about that, I just when you're there
- 15:51Speaker 6: in Lexington, I mean, in Kentucky, I'm like, can you
- 15:54Speaker 6: I mean, you can't fault you can fault these people
- 15:57Speaker 6: for thinking that way. But like you can't blame her. Right.
- 16:00Speaker 6: That her family is like that because. I mean, when
- 16:03Speaker 6: you look around, you're like, yeah, it makes sense why
- 16:05Speaker 6: these people cannot be so open and understanding of this.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Right, and you can't control everybody that goes to your
- 16:10Speaker 5: wedding or everyone that's in your family or what they
- 16:13Speaker 5: put on their front lawn.
- 16:15Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 16:15Speaker 3: It's just like, yeah, I totally see that. But it
- 16:19Speaker 3: sounds like she'll be thriving. And yeah, I don't know.
- 16:24Speaker 5: I hope Jax is doing better. I don't know what
- 16:26Speaker 5: he is doing. I mean, I thought maybe he... Maybe
- 16:30Speaker 5: he'll be coming back and doing appearance. It doesn't sound
- 16:33Speaker 5: like he's in this season at all.
- 16:34Speaker 6: That's what it sounded like to me too. Like I,
- 16:37Speaker 6: that he's just completely out, not in the picture and
- 16:39Speaker 6: it's just.
- 16:39Speaker 3: And not filming or anything.
- 16:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 5: But I don't think that will, hopefully that won't be
- 16:44Speaker 5: forever because, you know, I'm like thinking if he does
- 16:48Speaker 5: get it together and maybe she has a boyfriend and
- 16:52Speaker 5: he comes and is supportive of the boyfriend hanging out
- 16:55Speaker 5: with Cruz and then they could, move him back in
- 16:58Speaker 5: i mean he is just a very entertaining person to watch.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Well there's also even when he's you.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Know mad yeah like it's just like yeah you just
- 17:07Speaker 5: can't believe he's just such a character you know.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Well there's always something funny i mean i guess it's
- 17:11Speaker 6: not funny but to me it's like there's always like
- 17:13Speaker 6: a a circle of life on these shows right like
- 17:17Speaker 6: stassi she was like that season that i worked on
- 17:21Speaker 6: thriving you know she had i remember saying to her
- 17:23Speaker 6: like oh my gosh, you're having the best year ever. Like,
- 17:27Speaker 6: you know, she got engaged. She had the book tour.
- 17:29Speaker 6: She was getting a spinoff, I think, or like podcast
- 17:32Speaker 6: series or something. And then she ended up getting canceled.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Right.
- 17:36Speaker 6: And then it kind of just completely went askew. And
- 17:39Speaker 6: then we didn't see her for a little bit. And
- 17:41Speaker 6: then now she's kind of back up and it's like
- 17:42Speaker 6: totally taking accountability. She's moved forward. I think, you know,
- 17:46Speaker 6: she's apologized for it. Jax, I feel like the same thing.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Like we saw a really dark side of him. things
- 17:51Speaker 6: kind of hit rock bottom. And then I feel like
- 17:54Speaker 6: now he's going to kind of disappear. And then at
- 17:56Speaker 6: some point he'll come back around. What do you think
- 17:58Speaker 6: about James Kennedy? Do you think we'll hear from him again? I, I,
- 18:03Speaker 6: what the last thing that I saw, what was the,
- 18:05Speaker 6: there was a big thing that happened with.
- 18:07Speaker 5: He was with his girlfriend and there was an account that, um,
- 18:12Speaker 5: there was a domestic violence call and she, he was
- 18:17Speaker 5: not charged with anything formally.
- 18:19Speaker 3: And she, um, She did not press charges. They did
- 18:23Speaker 3: break up.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Yes.
- 18:25Speaker 5: But the account that was told to the cop, which
- 18:28Speaker 5: got out to the press, was enough to make, I think,
- 18:32Speaker 5: everybody just be like.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Kind of a washer. There's too many other things.
- 18:37Speaker 5: His relationship with Kristen Doty. There were other stories with Raquel,
- 18:41Speaker 5: Rachel Raquel.
- 18:44Speaker 3: And so, you know... And he was really at a
- 18:46Speaker 3: height of a thing.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I saw him the night that that happened. Oh, you did?
- 18:49Speaker 3: And he was... It's Kathy Hilton's like Christmas party through DirecTV.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 5: And he was, you know, very excited about all the
- 18:58Speaker 5: opportunities coming up.
- 18:59Speaker 3: He's pitching shows. He's doing this.
- 19:01Speaker 5: The DJ career is popping. Invited us to, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 5: he had like a residency. I mean, I don't... He's
- 19:09Speaker 5: another one that I don't know if I stopped following
- 19:11Speaker 5: him or I.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Don't think I did.
- 19:12Speaker 6: You just haven't seen him in.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I just don't see it like in the cycle of things,
- 19:15Speaker 5: you know?
- 19:16Speaker 4: And.
- 19:18Speaker 6: Well, see, that's the thing too is like... You're hot.
- 19:21Speaker 6: You're such a hot commodity. That's why I always think
- 19:23Speaker 6: it's so interesting. It's like when you're popping and like
- 19:26Speaker 6: you are, you know, in thriving on one reality show
- 19:29Speaker 6: or an unscripted project, like people are going to find
- 19:32Speaker 6: ways to like pimp you out in other ways. Right.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Like you're going to get the podcast deal. You're going
- 19:36Speaker 6: to get a spinoff series. So I always just think
- 19:38Speaker 6: it's so interesting how something I mean, granted, domestic violence
- 19:42Speaker 6: is a very serious thing. But like, you know, when
- 19:44Speaker 6: you are at that height of it, you know, you
- 19:47Speaker 6: said that he's pitching all these shows you get. so
- 19:50Speaker 6: much momentum but then as soon as one thing goes
- 19:52Speaker 6: wrong it's like you're forgotten about you know Jax we
- 19:55Speaker 6: don't see James Kennedy same thing it's just like you
- 19:58Speaker 6: go completely off the radar and no one no one
- 20:00Speaker 6: will touch you when.
- 20:01Speaker 4: It's gone it's gone this week's new wig at home
- 20:04Speaker 4: store and more all cookware sets are all half price
- 20:08Speaker 4: But better hurry, because when all our half-price cookware sets
- 20:11Speaker 4: are gone, they're gone. Also, all baking trays and tins
- 20:14Speaker 4: are still half-price, and all clothes hangers are still one-third off.
- 20:18Speaker 4: But when our baking trays and tins and clothes hangers'
- 20:21Speaker 4: wiggings are gone, they're definitely gone. Drop by your local

- 20:30Speaker 3: A happy home.
- 20:31Speaker 7: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 20:35Speaker 7: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 20:38Speaker 7: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 20:42Speaker 7: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 20:50Speaker 4: filed against me. When your free will was about to
- 20:53Speaker 4: be taken from you, what would you do if it
- 20:55Speaker 4: was given back?
- 20:56Speaker 7: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 20:59Speaker 7: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 21:01Speaker 3: He said, I have a work dad.
- 21:02Speaker 7: I need a home dad.
- 21:04Speaker 6: What happens next?
- 21:05Speaker 3: When I came in, he started crying.
- 21:06Speaker 7: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 21:11Speaker 7: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 21:13Speaker 7: happens next.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I decided to risk it all.
- 21:16Speaker 6: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Listen, Dar, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 21:21Speaker 6: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 21:23Speaker 7: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 21:27Speaker 7: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 21:37Speaker 5: What do you think about Tom Sandoval? He's still hanging
- 21:39Speaker 5: on for dear life.
- 21:41Speaker 6: Yeah, I think there, because you know what I think
- 21:43Speaker 6: the best thing was? He was just on Watch What
- 21:45Speaker 6: Happens Live. Yeah, Traders was the best thing for him.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Totally.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Because I think when you get out of like, when
- 21:51Speaker 6: you see people like Lisa Rinna on Traders.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Great.
- 21:54Speaker 6: You know what I mean? There's something Candace on Traders.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Like you get to see them in a different light
- 21:58Speaker 6: than being in that type of pressure cooker and environment.
- 22:02Speaker 6: And I feel like you get to see more of like,
- 22:05Speaker 6: A silly side or maybe not a side where you're
- 22:07Speaker 6: like going in and you're like, oh, I got my
- 22:09Speaker 6: boxing gloves on, bitch. Like we're going at it, at
- 22:12Speaker 6: each other.
- 22:12Speaker 3: The Traitors is such a weird, simple, yet fast, great.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 22:18Speaker 5: It's just such a great, it's so great. And there's
- 22:22Speaker 5: House of Villains and things like that. But it's just
- 22:25Speaker 5: not for me hitting like The Traitors.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I hope.
- 22:29Speaker 5: that people are thinking of other type of shows like that.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah. That can really.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Make it so fun for these former big reality stars
- 22:41Speaker 5: to still kind of stay relevant and show what made
- 22:44Speaker 5: them famous. Like I would like to see Jax or
- 22:48Speaker 5: James Kennedy on the traders.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Like to me, that would be interesting.
- 22:52Speaker 6: I'm so happy you're saying that. Cause I just met
- 22:54Speaker 6: with somebody who was a network exec and I was
- 22:56Speaker 6: saying how, I love an underdog, like a one season
- 23:01Speaker 6: wonder or somebody who just kind of fell off and
- 23:03Speaker 6: you like to see them kind of pop back up.
- 23:06Speaker 6: And I always am trying to find, you know, being
- 23:08Speaker 6: in the unscripted world, I'm always like, how can you
- 23:10Speaker 6: find these type of people who may be like, haven't
- 23:14Speaker 6: had big momentum, but you want to see how they
- 23:16Speaker 6: would be in a different format, like what we're talking about.
- 23:20Speaker 6: And the problem is, is, you know, people are like, well,
- 23:22Speaker 6: they have the traders. That's where these people who kind
- 23:24Speaker 6: of you know, go into oblivion kind of can revamp
- 23:27Speaker 6: their career. But I'm like, there's something different where I
- 23:30Speaker 6: would love to see, like, you have these OG people like,
- 23:34Speaker 6: you know, Teresa, Nene, you know, people who, Bethany.
- 23:38Speaker 5: What do you think about just doing like a traders
- 23:41Speaker 5: or type of traders? For me, I don't watch the
- 23:45Speaker 5: challenge and the, survivors anymore and I get that they
- 23:49Speaker 5: mix them all up and also that might make it
- 23:51Speaker 5: fun because it was like oh the housewives are going
- 23:53Speaker 5: to have and when they're like the housewives are going
- 23:55Speaker 5: to have each other's back I'm like when they've never
- 23:57Speaker 5: had each other's back why would they have each other's
- 23:59Speaker 5: back from a different even franchisor season like if they
- 24:03Speaker 5: can't have their own cities back like who but like
- 24:07Speaker 5: for me I would I think it would be more
- 24:09Speaker 5: it would be fun just to see it with Bravo
- 24:12Speaker 5: should be working on shows like a traders but just
- 24:15Speaker 5: for Bravo and Past talent.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Well, because I think there's a lot like these one
- 24:20Speaker 6: season wonders that go on Housewives, right? Like, where are they?
- 24:24Speaker 6: You know, I want to know what they're doing. Like,
- 24:25Speaker 6: I want to see if they're down and out and
- 24:27Speaker 6: they're losing paychecks and they can't, you know, live the
- 24:30Speaker 6: same life that they used to. Like, those are the
- 24:32Speaker 6: type of people that I'm like, oh, it'd be really interesting.
- 24:34Speaker 6: You see the people who have built an entire career
- 24:37Speaker 6: off of it, like Anini or Teresa or Bethany, like
- 24:40Speaker 6: I was saying. And then you see the people who
- 24:43Speaker 6: literally have no momentum. They have no star power. And
- 24:46Speaker 6: they haven't had that same kind of luck. So I'm
- 24:48Speaker 6: always like, oh, right.
- 24:49Speaker 5: But then but then there'll be something negative that follows
- 24:52Speaker 5: them forever. Like, sadly, on Real Housewives of OC, Lynn
- 24:57Speaker 5: Curtin's daughter is really struggled. And some buddy with an
- 25:03Speaker 5: iPhone found her.
- 25:05Speaker 3: And and. you know, and then I think that person,
- 25:09Speaker 3: God bless them.
- 25:09Speaker 5: But I also feel like that could be a little unsavory.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Like she keeps going back to her and Lancaster and
- 25:14Speaker 5: being like, well, we're trying to get you some money.
- 25:16Speaker 5: And I'm like, okay, so you're collecting the money, whoever's
- 25:20Speaker 5: doing the phone. And then we're supposed to believe you're
- 25:22Speaker 5: giving it to Lynn Curtin's daughter to stay in this
- 25:27Speaker 5: gross hotel, like the whole thing. And then people are like, no,
- 25:29Speaker 5: Lynn's trying to help her. And then she ended up
- 25:31Speaker 5: doing an interview and You know, when she tells her story,
- 25:34Speaker 5: she's like, I was 15 or, say, sister, we were
- 25:36Speaker 5: like 15, 16 when the show started.
- 25:39Speaker 3: On the show, we were actively drinking.
- 25:43Speaker 6: They showed that in the original episode.
- 25:44Speaker 3: My mother took, like, our.
- 25:46Speaker 5: We get evicted the same week that my mom is
- 25:49Speaker 5: getting a facelift.
- 25:50Speaker 3: They end up getting divorced. It's just.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Yeah, of course, that is such a vulnerable time for
- 25:59Speaker 5: a teenager.
- 25:59Speaker 4: And....
- 26:01Speaker 5: At that time there wasn't social media but they were
- 26:04Speaker 5: also like one of two shows like so of this
- 26:09Speaker 5: so there was a lot more eyes on the show
- 26:12Speaker 5: yeah and then to have it go and be able
- 26:15Speaker 5: to repeat over and over while she's down and out
- 26:19Speaker 5: and struggling with addiction i mean that's the part where
- 26:22Speaker 5: it's like.
- 26:22Speaker 6: I know well that's the thing right like do viewers
- 26:26Speaker 6: really want to watch that like No, no.
- 26:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 26:28Speaker 6: And that's kind of like the Mary Cosby of it
- 26:31Speaker 6: all with Salt Lake City, you know, with people talking
- 26:35Speaker 6: about like, oh, is it too soon for people to
- 26:38Speaker 6: pick up cameras and start putting them in your face
- 26:40Speaker 6: when you're going through something as serious as that? I've
- 26:43Speaker 6: always viewed Housewives as like escapism. But then for me,
- 26:47Speaker 6: I like, you know, where things are real, because I
- 26:51Speaker 6: think the big thing that I always say now is like,
- 26:53Speaker 6: on the casting side, you can see when people are
- 26:56Speaker 6: coming in and they know, I got to check this
- 26:59Speaker 6: off the list. I got to act this way. I
- 27:01Speaker 6: got to show up this way. I got to flaunt
- 27:02Speaker 6: this type of lifestyle. And when I know it's so
- 27:05Speaker 6: tragic and dark, but like that is real life, right?
- 27:08Speaker 6: Like you're getting to see a real emotion. You're getting
- 27:11Speaker 6: to see real things unfold. And that to me is
- 27:13Speaker 6: kind of what.
- 27:15Speaker 5: I think it's a really hard thing because as the talent,
- 27:19Speaker 5: as Mary Crosby, there's two ways to look at it.
- 27:23Speaker 5: One is I'll just not share this and go mourn
- 27:28Speaker 5: by myself, which sounds awful. Or I'll use this opportunity
- 27:36Speaker 5: to shed a life on this epidemic and also be busy.
- 27:44Speaker 5: You know, a lot of people after a tragedy, they
- 27:46Speaker 5: want to go back to work. They want to, you know,
- 27:48Speaker 5: because they're like, I don't want to just be left
- 27:50Speaker 5: at home to like wallow in my bed. Like I
- 27:52Speaker 5: need to like get up and do other things. So,
- 27:55Speaker 5: I mean, it's one of those things I don't think
- 27:57Speaker 5: anyone can judge. And as long as she wants to
- 28:01Speaker 5: do it and is on board to do it, then
- 28:03Speaker 5: I think it's, you know, it's up. If she's going
- 28:07Speaker 5: to do it, then I don't think they should say, no, you.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Can't or you have to do it. You signed a contract.
- 28:14Speaker 5: And I'm sure that it was a mutual agreement to
- 28:18Speaker 5: share this part of her life.
- 28:19Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 28:20Speaker 6: I mean, I think of like when I have worked
- 28:22Speaker 6: as like a talent producer on these shows, like I
- 28:26Speaker 6: always felt conflicted in those moments. I mean, granted, nothing
- 28:29Speaker 6: ever as serious as that. But when, you know, a
- 28:32Speaker 6: housewife like comes to you and your job is to
- 28:35Speaker 6: like build a relationship and really like you know, develop
- 28:38Speaker 6: trust and understanding. It's very like conflicting, I feel, when
- 28:41Speaker 6: they come to you because they know they can trust you.
- 28:44Speaker 6: You're this outlet. You have all these cooks in the
- 28:46Speaker 6: kitchen and they're like, you're the one person that I
- 28:48Speaker 6: can go to and divulge this information. And sometimes, you know,
- 28:54Speaker 6: it's your job to like navigate, okay, do we put
- 28:57Speaker 6: this on camera? Do we show this to the world?
- 29:00Speaker 6: Or do I respect this person's wishes, you know, telling me, hey,
- 29:04Speaker 6: this is between me and you. I'm just trying to.
- 29:06Speaker 5: Like, I feel like the relationship between a housewife and
- 29:12Speaker 5: her real housewife producer is the traitors.
- 29:15Speaker 3: It's basically the traitors. Can I trust you? Got you
- 29:18Speaker 3: a traitor? Are you faithful?
- 29:20Speaker 5: Are you truly my friend as my producer? Or are
- 29:25Speaker 5: you really Annie Cohen's best friend?
- 29:29Speaker 3: That's such an interesting position to be in. And I've always.
- 29:33Speaker 5: I've always thought a great scripted show would be something
- 29:38Speaker 5: fictional like like housewives yes behind the scenes and the
- 29:43Speaker 5: star would be a producer oh yeah who's gets because
- 29:48Speaker 5: every season could be like a different thing and they
- 29:50Speaker 5: get caught into it and.
- 29:52Speaker 6: Um i always believe if like i mean i don't
- 29:55Speaker 6: know how much the networks would want the cameras to
- 29:58Speaker 6: really showcase those things, but like the castings part of it,
- 30:03Speaker 6: the talent producing, like that's a series in itself.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 30:06Speaker 6: Like, I mean, how conflicting of, is it, you know,
- 30:09Speaker 6: if somebody's sitting there saying like, Hey, I, you know,
- 30:11Speaker 6: I know this woman's really struggling, you know, her husband's
- 30:14Speaker 6: cheating on her. I know this is happening. You know,
- 30:16Speaker 6: she's my best friend. I don't want to put that
- 30:18Speaker 6: out there. She's telling me this now. And I'm sitting
- 30:21Speaker 6: there like, okay, I really love this person who I've
- 30:24Speaker 6: developed a relationship with, but If she says this and
- 30:28Speaker 6: that other castmate is going to know that it was
- 30:30Speaker 6: her that said it, right? Because she's the only one
- 30:32Speaker 6: that's privy to it. And then that demises their friendship.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Then that comes on me that I betrayed someone. It's
- 30:38Speaker 6: just like so messy.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Now, in protecting you and your position, so hypothetically.
- 30:43Speaker 6: Yeah, hypothetically.
- 30:44Speaker 3: This is the situation. Maybe not you.
- 30:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 5: But would other producers figure out a way to get
- 30:54Speaker 5: that juicy information out? out there without jeopardizing the relationship
- 31:02Speaker 5: where the one housewife is like, I can't believe you
- 31:05Speaker 5: told like, I, I think, you know, we've seen it
- 31:09Speaker 5: like with a New Jersey where it would be all
- 31:12Speaker 5: of a sudden, uh, Teresa would go, well, I heard.
- 31:15Speaker 3: A rumor that what was the girls?
- 31:19Speaker 6: What was the Jackie Goldschneider? Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 3: She's not in the photo.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I heard that Jackie's, you know, her, uh, Evan was,
- 31:25Speaker 3: Evan was, uh, messing around at the gym.
- 31:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Yeah. Which I'm like at the gym, I immediately thought
- 31:31Speaker 5: this is a double juicy scoop because I just thought
- 31:35Speaker 5: like gay shit, right?
- 31:36Speaker 3: You're at a gym.
- 31:37Speaker 5: I didn't think, I didn't think hitting on a girl
- 31:40Speaker 5: or helping her do her squats.
- 31:41Speaker 3: I just immediately thought like.
- 31:43Speaker 6: You know, old school. You're on Grindr in a hotel
- 31:46Speaker 6: room in Kentucky.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Or the sauna is like, okay. Like, I don't know
- 31:50Speaker 3: what happened. So I was like, oh my God, I
- 31:52Speaker 3: can't believe she's saying that. Well, it was just a rumor. Well,
- 31:54Speaker 3: where did the rumor start? You know?
- 31:56Speaker 5: And then sometimes as a cast member, you're like, okay,
- 31:59Speaker 5: so now to get the story off of you or
- 32:03Speaker 5: you have no storyline at any moment. So I kind
- 32:07Speaker 5: of want to know what you guys think as that
- 32:09Speaker 5: at any moment. I go to the dinner party. I've
- 32:11Speaker 5: been on the show for five years. It's the Real
- 32:13Speaker 5: Housewives of, you know, Westlake Village. And I go and
- 32:16Speaker 5: I sit down and I'm like, I mean, I heard
- 32:20Speaker 5: a rumor that Sasha's husband was seen with like a
- 32:29Speaker 5: really young gay guy in Puerto Vallarta.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 6: So that you would most likely have already like if
- 32:35Speaker 6: you're a talent producer, you're already talking to them about like, hey,
- 32:39Speaker 6: we're going to try to get this scene with you,
- 32:41Speaker 6: you know, at here X, Y, Z with this amount
- 32:44Speaker 6: of people, whatever. So at that point, if they know
- 32:47Speaker 6: that they're going into that scene, like they're going to
- 32:49Speaker 6: be like, oh, and they're mine. It's going to be like,
- 32:51Speaker 6: am I going to bring this up then?
- 32:53Speaker 4: Right.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Like, is this going to be the moment that I'm
- 32:54Speaker 6: going to unfold and drop that bomb?
- 32:56Speaker 3: So now here's the hypothetical.
- 32:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:59Speaker 3: I go do that.
- 33:00Speaker 5: Okay. Okay. And I tell another girl that, that this
- 33:07Speaker 5: other person who's already on the show, I had a
- 33:09Speaker 5: rumor he has a little gay boyfriend, okay? And they
- 33:12Speaker 5: were in Puerto Vallarta together. And that girl kind of
- 33:17Speaker 5: knows it's true, okay? But she's like, my friend is
- 33:23Speaker 5: fine with him having a secret gay lover, but this
- 33:25Speaker 5: would destroy her family, the conservative relatives.
- 33:30Speaker 3: She wants to stay married. The little gay lover does
- 33:35Speaker 3: her hair extensions for free.
- 33:37Speaker 5: She doesn't want this out there. She doesn't want this
- 33:40Speaker 5: out there. She does not care. She doesn't want to
- 33:42Speaker 5: fuck the husband. She's glad he's gay.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Like, whatever.
- 33:45Speaker 5: But she doesn't want this out there. And so then
- 33:49Speaker 5: that girl goes, bravo, bravo, fucking bravo.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Excuse me.
- 33:56Speaker 5: And she gets up and she goes to you guys
- 33:58Speaker 5: and she's like, cut, do not put that in.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Now, what do you do now?
- 34:04Speaker 6: And see, well, they're airing that shit because that's on camera.
- 34:08Speaker 6: So she's already, if you're blowing up and you're making that,
- 34:11Speaker 6: like it, then now they're going to dive deep. Oh yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 6: Now they're diving deeper.
- 34:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 6: If I'm somebody who they're, they're just telling me on
- 34:19Speaker 6: the phone and they're like, you know, kind of giving
- 34:21Speaker 6: me tidbits. That's for me to say, okay. Is this
- 34:24Speaker 6: something we can push forward? Is this something that feels
- 34:26Speaker 6: like there's holes in it? It's not adding up. Because
- 34:29Speaker 6: sometimes also like you got to remember if you're on
- 34:32Speaker 6: camera and like you're watching a wife and a husband
- 34:36Speaker 6: and their chemistry is completely fucked and they're not like
- 34:39Speaker 6: intimate or they're not seeing each other, you're going to
- 34:41Speaker 6: be like, okay, we're a producer. Like we're going to
- 34:44Speaker 6: start pushing holes in this and seeing what's going on here.
- 34:47Speaker 6: But if on camera you're showing up making it look
- 34:49Speaker 6: like it's the best thing in the world, but somebody
- 34:52Speaker 6: knows something that the producers don't know, then that opens
- 34:55Speaker 6: up a whole nother can of worms. For that example, though,
- 34:58Speaker 6: you're seeing that. So you're going to push that further, right?
- 35:01Speaker 6: Like you're going to dive in and now get to
- 35:03Speaker 6: the bottom of it. If you're coming in saying, bravo, bravo.
- 35:05Speaker 6: I wish that was a real storyline. That's so good.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 35:09Speaker 6: I mean, I'm sure that honestly, I'm sure that there
- 35:11Speaker 6: has been that. We just haven't seen it. I mean,
- 35:13Speaker 6: there's been a couple questionable relationships on that show and
- 35:17Speaker 6: throughout the cities. But Yeah, I mean, for me, it's
- 35:20Speaker 6: just hard. Like, I always felt like so empathetic because
- 35:22Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, I love these women. They show up,
- 35:24Speaker 6: they give us their all for the most part, a
- 35:27Speaker 6: majority of them. They're coming in, they know it's a paycheck,
- 35:30Speaker 6: they're dedicated to it for the most part. And, you know,
- 35:33Speaker 6: when they start to feel like you're their outlet, because
- 35:36Speaker 6: if they tell XYZ on the show, they know it's
- 35:39Speaker 6: going to become a storyline. So it's like that hard
- 35:41Speaker 6: balance where I'm like, oh, you're their friend, but then
- 35:44Speaker 6: you're also like, you know, their coworker. And it's like,
- 35:48Speaker 6: how do you, navigate that balance of not putting their
- 35:51Speaker 6: shit out there and losing their trust the whole job
- 35:54Speaker 6: for that particular role is building trust within somebody right
- 35:57Speaker 6: um field.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Producers how does someone like is there a training process
- 36:02Speaker 5: for what you do no there isn't somebody you're getting
- 36:06Speaker 5: thrown into the world yeah you just kind of figure
- 36:08Speaker 5: it out and you kind of develop your own style.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Yeah i've gone through field producing segment producing casting producing
- 36:14Speaker 6: development producing All of the above. And I feel like
- 36:19Speaker 6: you never get a full like, OK, let's have, you know,
- 36:22Speaker 6: a training manual that you're not. No, you're getting like
- 36:25Speaker 6: thrown into. I mean, even casting.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 36:27Speaker 6: I mean, there's things where, you know, I've had women,
- 36:31Speaker 6: you know, someone say hypothetically is telling me. I mean,
- 36:34Speaker 6: I put this out on social media, but, you know,
- 36:37Speaker 6: one of the shows I was casting for, you know,
- 36:40Speaker 6: a woman was referring her friend to come on the show.
- 36:44Speaker 6: And this woman told me like, hey, one of my
- 36:47Speaker 6: children is not my husband's biological child. But, you know,
- 36:52Speaker 6: this is something that we're not going to talk about.
- 36:54Speaker 6: It's just off camera. She referred a friend and her
- 36:57Speaker 6: friend is now putting that information out there to try
- 37:01Speaker 6: to get on the show and make it a storyline.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I'm like, that is so fucked because that is like
- 37:04Speaker 6: your girl. That's your best friend.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 37:06Speaker 6: So I'm like, it just examples like that. Like, you know,
- 37:10Speaker 6: people know what they're doing. It's it's very hard to
- 37:13Speaker 6: navigate that.
- 37:14Speaker 3: But Um, so the friend was like, I have this nugget.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 5: And I'm jealous of my friend who's a regular on
- 37:21Speaker 5: the show and I want to get on it.
- 37:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:24Speaker 5: So if you have me on it, I will throw
- 37:26Speaker 5: this nugget bomb at a luncheon.
- 37:30Speaker 6: Or if like, you know, this is going to be,
- 37:32Speaker 6: I'm letting you know this cause maybe this could be
- 37:33Speaker 6: a future story that could unfold.
- 37:35Speaker 5: So is that a problem too, in that the audience
- 37:38Speaker 5: after 20 years of, who also might want to be
- 37:41Speaker 5: cast members, have become so savvy and sophisticated that they're
- 37:47Speaker 5: coming and they're whatever, being secret bloggers like Monica Von Teese.
- 37:53Speaker 3: What was that?
- 37:54Speaker 6: Reality Von Teese.
- 37:54Speaker 5: Yeah, Reality Von Teese on Real House on Salt Lake
- 37:57Speaker 5: City and like, you know, maneuvering their way into it
- 38:01Speaker 5: or giving info to secret bloggers or they're the secret
- 38:06Speaker 5: blogger or Oh, yeah. Does that make it harder or better?
- 38:08Speaker 5: At this point, does that help storyline that we're in
- 38:12Speaker 5: this situation?
- 38:14Speaker 3: Does it?
- 38:14Speaker 6: I mean, I personally don't like it because it's been
- 38:18Speaker 6: done so much now. I'm like, if you're going to
- 38:20Speaker 6: do like it's like the binder of at the reunions.
- 38:22Speaker 6: It's like you're going to come here. Like, give me
- 38:25Speaker 6: Kenya more scepter, at least, you know, like that was
- 38:27Speaker 6: something different. Like now I hate the same song and
- 38:30Speaker 6: dance repeating.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 6: So I'm like, listen, I'm not going to stop someone's
- 38:34Speaker 6: hustle and get their bag. Like if you're trying to
- 38:35Speaker 6: come on the show. just be quicker and savvy about
- 38:38Speaker 6: it if you're gonna do something we've already seen no
- 38:40Speaker 6: that's boring like I had in uh you know we
- 38:42Speaker 6: were casting for a show and one of the women
- 38:46Speaker 6: uh found out one of the girls in town was
- 38:48Speaker 6: on the show she gets my number somehow being a
- 38:51Speaker 6: casting producer I guess it's just now out there and
- 38:53Speaker 6: she's like lambasting this cast member on the show saying
- 38:58Speaker 6: if you want to know xyz she's a fraud she's
- 39:01Speaker 6: and to me it's like I get she's mad but
- 39:04Speaker 6: and and She probably thinks it's her way of getting
- 39:06Speaker 6: on a show, but it's tasteless because I'm like, you're
- 39:10Speaker 6: doing something that we've already seen. Like, you're bad-mouthing somebody
- 39:12Speaker 6: saying they're a fraud. They cheat on their husband. They're
- 39:14Speaker 6: a scammer. It's like, come up with something better, you know? Like,
- 39:17Speaker 6: I'm just like, give me something more.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Come up with something better than a grifting cheater gold
- 39:23Speaker 5: digger because we already did that.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Yeah, and just kind of like telling the cast.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Are they a vampire?
- 39:28Speaker 6: Yeah, like give me something. fresh like do they take
- 39:31Speaker 6: their head off at night and replace like what you
- 39:33Speaker 6: know what are they like like what are they doing
- 39:36Speaker 6: i just need something more than this like and um
- 39:39Speaker 6: yeah i i'm not mad at that i think like
- 39:42Speaker 6: if somebody's truly not uh forthcoming and they, you know,
- 39:48Speaker 6: do have skeletons in the closet, you know what you're
- 39:50Speaker 6: signing up for too. That's a thing. Like on these shows,
- 39:52Speaker 6: I always say like, look, you're coming on these shows.
- 39:56Speaker 6: You're doing it. I just said this recently. It's like,
- 39:59Speaker 6: you know, I've talked to like a billionaire's wife on
- 40:01Speaker 6: the show, like to see if they would go on it.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Like if you really want to be on this type
- 40:06Speaker 6: of show, you know what you're getting yourself into, you
- 40:08Speaker 6: know what you're signing up for. And it's a huge platform.
- 40:12Speaker 6: And I think people, Whether they have money or not,
- 40:15Speaker 6: they want to do it for the fame. And, you know,
- 40:18Speaker 6: these people will sell other people down the river because
- 40:21Speaker 6: they're like, well, I want my ticket. I want to
- 40:23Speaker 6: get on the show. So I always think the behind
- 40:25Speaker 6: the scenes of like all the casting stuff and just
- 40:29Speaker 6: the trying to get on the show and the tactics
- 40:30Speaker 6: like that to me is just so interesting because you
- 40:34Speaker 6: have to be so calculated to do that kind of stuff.
- 40:36Speaker 6: So it's crazy to me.
- 40:38Speaker 5: Um, let's go and talk a little bit about one
- 40:41Speaker 5: of the shows I'm watching right now, which is Real
- 40:43Speaker 5: Housewives of Beverly Hills. This season has been a little
- 40:47Speaker 5: criticized as being not very juicy, not very eventful. I, yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 3: A little bit. I will always watch these women. I'm
- 40:59Speaker 3: always like down. What do you do?
- 41:02Speaker 5: When just not a lot's happening with the cast amongst
- 41:06Speaker 5: each other, and also not a lot of exciting things
- 41:10Speaker 5: are happening in the people's lives. I mean, sometimes you have,
- 41:15Speaker 5: at 50, you have kind of a smooth year, and
- 41:18Speaker 5: this is about your life.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Sorry I'm not remodeling my house. Sorry my mother-husband's not cheating.
- 41:25Speaker 6: Yeah, my husband's not cheating.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I'm not getting divorced. You know, my kids are fine now.
- 41:31Speaker 6: No, my husband's gay secret lover is not adding hair
- 41:33Speaker 6: extensions into my hair.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Yes, like literally my other side career is non-existent. I'm
- 41:42Speaker 5: not doing Halloween 52.
- 41:46Speaker 6: Halloween 52.
- 41:48Speaker 3: I'm still separated from Mauricio on the fourth year.
- 41:52Speaker 6: Oh, I have strong opinions on this.
- 41:53Speaker 3: So let's hear it.
- 41:54Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 3: So tell me.
- 41:55Speaker 6: So, and meaning, and so when you said like, what
- 41:57Speaker 6: do you do in those situations? This to me all
- 41:59Speaker 6: comes back to casting, right?
- 42:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:01Speaker 6: This show is hard to cast. I've worked on this.
- 42:03Speaker 6: I've casted on this show before. Beverly Hills particularly.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:06Speaker 6: Okay. It's hard to cast because the caliber is, these
- 42:10Speaker 6: women need to check a lot of boxes. You're in
- 42:13Speaker 6: LA and Beverly Hills. You represent wealth, affluent-ness.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Entertainment.
- 42:18Speaker 6: Yes, entertainment.
- 42:19Speaker 5: Everyone's a little bit, besides Sutton- Um, even I feel
- 42:23Speaker 5: like Bose being that she was an executive. I mean,
- 42:28Speaker 5: everybody on this cast throughout the years are like either entertainment,
- 42:32Speaker 5: Hollywood or entertainment adjacent.
- 42:35Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. She I mean, perfect example. She's smart.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 42:40Speaker 6: I mean, you come on the show and look, she's
- 42:43Speaker 6: on a show with Jimmy Fallon now. She's building this
- 42:45Speaker 6: whole brand like that to me is the calculation of
- 42:47Speaker 6: being smart when you're on a platform like this. Right.
- 42:50Speaker 6: I feel like it comes down to casting because we
- 42:55Speaker 6: just got to accept that the women of Beverly Hills,
- 42:57Speaker 6: they're not friends. Like they really aren't. Like when you
- 42:59Speaker 6: watch Salt Lake, you're like, these girls love each other.
- 43:02Speaker 6: Like there's something there where they're connected, right? I've been watching,
- 43:05Speaker 6: I watch just as much as I work on it.
- 43:07Speaker 6: I'm a consumer of it. And I was like, have
- 43:10Speaker 6: the last three episodes just been like three girls filming
- 43:13Speaker 6: in the Hamptons by themselves? And then every scene is like,
- 43:17Speaker 6: someone just FaceTiming because the producers are like, okay, let's
- 43:20Speaker 6: get a scene where it makes it look like you
- 43:22Speaker 6: guys are communicating still.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:23Speaker 6: Because it just feels so disjointed. Then I feel like
- 43:25Speaker 6: Amanda's just in her house by herself and like everybody
- 43:29Speaker 6: hates her. And I'm like, what is that? Like, what
- 43:31Speaker 6: is going on? It just is like no one's connected
- 43:33Speaker 6: at all.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Yes.
- 43:35Speaker 6: And I think that's what's really hard because you want
- 43:37Speaker 6: to have a boom moment. You want to have a
- 43:39Speaker 6: Lisa Rinna or Garcelle. You want to have a Rachel Zoe.
- 43:42Speaker 5: You stole my fucking house.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Like, you know, like you want to have those.
- 43:46Speaker 6: You want to have the star power of bringing those
- 43:49Speaker 6: type of women in. They're heavy hitters. They represent Beverly Hills.
- 43:52Speaker 6: But when Rachel Zoe doesn't know anybody in the cast
- 43:55Speaker 6: and it feels disjointed, it's like, well, yeah, that's why nobody's,
- 44:00Speaker 6: no fights are really happening. So I would say if
- 44:03Speaker 6: I was a producer, now I'm, having to deal with
- 44:07Speaker 6: casting decision on that now it falls on me to
- 44:11Speaker 6: be like okay what is the story right what can
- 44:13Speaker 6: we bring out of these women what is actually happening
- 44:15Speaker 6: and it's how much those women are willing to go
- 44:18Speaker 6: there and put out there that's why I said like
- 44:21Speaker 6: people are hating on Amanda I kind of like her
- 44:23Speaker 6: because I'm like.
- 44:24Speaker 5: I mean without Amanda this show would really be struggling
- 44:28Speaker 5: I like.
- 44:29Speaker 6: A girl that comes in and is like just making
- 44:31Speaker 6: people mad for just being them like I love a
- 44:33Speaker 6: delusional housewife. I love somebody who's all manifestation and whatnot.
- 44:38Speaker 6: But yeah, without her, there would be nothing.
- 44:41Speaker 5: I mean, but I do think it is interesting and
- 44:43Speaker 5: relatable that, you know, at one time, you know, Mauricio
- 44:49Speaker 5: and Kyle and PK and Dorit had this great foursome
- 44:52Speaker 5: friendship that we saw.
- 44:54Speaker 3: This was the couples. And this happens in life.
- 44:57Speaker 5: Not only do one of them break up, but you
- 44:59Speaker 5: all break up.
- 45:00Speaker 3: But then.
- 45:01Speaker 5: Kyle and Mauricio are having their cake and eating it
- 45:05Speaker 5: too and eating each other out. I mean, they're just
- 45:09Speaker 5: staying married, getting along like, you know, half brother and
- 45:14Speaker 5: sister or something like, and then people are just like
- 45:17Speaker 5: getting mad that she's not filing or whatever.
- 45:20Speaker 3: And I'm like, listen, she doesn't want, To split.
- 45:24Speaker 6: Up the houses. No. Why would she?
- 45:25Speaker 3: He doesn't.
- 45:26Speaker 6: Yeah, why would she?
- 45:27Speaker 5: Why would he, when he can have another apartment, show
- 45:30Speaker 5: up at all the houses, be good with the daughters,
- 45:33Speaker 5: fuck young women. Yeah.
- 45:34Speaker 3: And just go hoo-hoo-hoo and show up on the show
- 45:36Speaker 3: and like laugh.
- 45:37Speaker 5: And she doesn't seem to care because she's probably been
- 45:40Speaker 5: checked out for years. And now she bought a place
- 45:44Speaker 5: in Tennessee.
- 45:45Speaker 6: Listen, he's not getting divorced because he makes his rounds
- 45:48Speaker 6: being married to her. He's been on Real Housewives of Potomac.
- 45:51Speaker 5: It's like the best thing ever. And I just think
- 45:53Speaker 5: you're like, you know, yeah, why would you? I mean,
- 45:58Speaker 5: I always said they're not going to get divorced until
- 46:01Speaker 5: one of them truly falls in love with somebody else.
- 46:04Speaker 3: And that lover partner is like.
- 46:09Speaker 6: Pull the trigger.
- 46:09Speaker 3: This isn't working.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Like we're not doing this anymore.
- 46:12Speaker 5: And that's why I think the whole like secret of
- 46:14Speaker 5: love affair with Morgan Wade had to be a secret
- 46:17Speaker 5: of love affair because they were getting divorced.
- 46:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 5: And, you know, and and now she's just like, OK, well, I'll,
- 46:25Speaker 5: you know, walk around and I'll talk about Dorit and PK,
- 46:29Speaker 5: which in real life you would be talking about Dorit
- 46:33Speaker 5: and PK with your friends.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Yeah, of course.
- 46:34Speaker 5: A hundred percent. Your friends are your close friends going
- 46:37Speaker 5: through divorce. Someone gets up from the table and you're like, oh,
- 46:41Speaker 5: do you like her new boyfriend?
- 46:43Speaker 6: He wouldn't be for me.
- 46:44Speaker 5: I mean, I live this life without cameras.
- 46:47Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:48Speaker 3: That's what you would do. So it's like, oh, well,
- 46:50Speaker 3: you shouldn't be talking about that.
- 46:52Speaker 5: That is reality. And like, if it's not juicy enough
- 46:55Speaker 5: for you, I think it's... I think you can... What's
- 46:58Speaker 5: good is that even though it's like a simple storyline,
- 47:01Speaker 5: it's not you stole my goddamn house, no one's going
- 47:03Speaker 5: to rehab. But it is like... gives us people at
- 47:08Speaker 5: home to go, should Kyle shut the fuck up? Is
- 47:13Speaker 5: Kyle actually being concerned for her friend, which I believe.
- 47:17Speaker 5: Does she even like Dorit at all? Should Dorit be
- 47:19Speaker 5: annoyed that they're talking about her or not?
- 47:22Speaker 6: I mean, I just kind of feel like I'm over
- 47:25Speaker 6: kind of the story.
- 47:28Speaker 5: I get why we get over the storyline. But that's
- 47:31Speaker 5: where I feel like it's such a hard job. Because
- 47:35Speaker 5: as someone who loves it as a fan, also makes
- 47:38Speaker 5: it part of my content and talks about it, I
- 47:43Speaker 5: sympathize with the producers. I sympathize with the lady at
- 47:46Speaker 5: home who's bored. I sympathize with the person who's living
- 47:49Speaker 5: life who's like, again, I'm sorry.
- 47:51Speaker 3: It's my life.
- 47:52Speaker 5: Do you want me to create something? Do you want
- 47:54Speaker 5: me to file for divorce when I really don't want to?
- 47:58Speaker 5: It would not serve me at this time in my life.
- 48:00Speaker 5: Maybe in two years I will. Maybe in 10 years
- 48:02Speaker 5: I will. Maybe I never will. Maybe we'll be grandparents
- 48:05Speaker 5: together and call it a fucking day.
- 48:07Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 48:08Speaker 6: Well, that's why I think it's such a tricky show, right?
- 48:10Speaker 6: Because I think if you lose, I'm like looking back
- 48:11Speaker 6: and I'm like going through each one. I'm like, well,
- 48:13Speaker 6: so if you lose Kyle, Kyle, you can't lose Kyle.
- 48:16Speaker 6: Cause at this point it would, it would feel like
- 48:18Speaker 6: nothing is there, right? Like it would just feel empty.
- 48:21Speaker 6: But the thing is now what I realized over time
- 48:23Speaker 6: and just the way that the housewives has been, you know,
- 48:26Speaker 6: moving forward is that they want to skew younger because
- 48:30Speaker 6: when you look at it now, Sutton, she's not married.
- 48:33Speaker 6: She doesn't have her kids really on the show. I mean,
- 48:36Speaker 6: who else is on it now? You have Amanda, who
- 48:39Speaker 6: fits what they are looking for.
- 48:40Speaker 3: Because she's got younger kids. She's like 40.
- 48:44Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 48:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 48:44Speaker 6: You see more of that. Erica, you don't see. Her
- 48:49Speaker 6: kid's never been on the show. She's not married. You
- 48:52Speaker 6: don't even see the guy that she's dating. Dorit, her
- 48:56Speaker 6: kids are in it, but she's not married anymore. Rachel Zoe.
- 48:59Speaker 3: I just realized.
- 49:01Speaker 5: We haven't seen the kids in it this season. I
- 49:04Speaker 5: don't know if that's something they agreed together.
- 49:06Speaker 6: I haven't really seen. I don't think they have.
- 49:08Speaker 5: She talks about them, but I feel like we don't
- 49:10Speaker 5: see them. Not that we need to see them, but
- 49:13Speaker 5: you know.
- 49:13Speaker 6: Well, that's the thing is that with these shows, it's like.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Well, then what is it?
- 49:18Speaker 6: It's just that they don't have. real, like I, when
- 49:21Speaker 6: you fall in love with housewives, it's because you had
- 49:23Speaker 6: access inside their home. You got to see their day
- 49:26Speaker 6: to day, waking up, taking the kids.
- 49:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Like I remember one of the first years with, with Kyle.
- 49:31Speaker 5: And when I had Kyle on my show, I remember
- 49:33Speaker 5: I said this and at the time, you know, I
- 49:35Speaker 5: had little kids and I just remember.
- 49:37Speaker 3: She's putting poor shit to sleep. who's like two and
- 49:40Speaker 3: a half.
- 49:40Speaker 5: And when you have a little kid like that, you know,
- 49:43Speaker 5: they lay down with me, mommy, and she's having a party.
- 49:45Speaker 3: She wants to get back to the party. And so
- 49:47Speaker 3: she's like laying there and she's like.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Rolling out of the bed, down the hallway so that
- 49:53Speaker 5: the kid doesn't wake up.
- 49:55Speaker 3: And that's funny. And like, so relatable.
- 49:57Speaker 5: Yes.
- 49:57Speaker 6: You know what I mean? It's like, and the problem is,
- 50:00Speaker 6: is when the kids start not being on the show anymore, you're,
- 50:04Speaker 6: I mean, I'm not a mom or a woman, so
- 50:05Speaker 6: I can't speak on it, but you could, I mean,
- 50:08Speaker 6: Your life changes like you're you're not at home as much.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Maybe you're not as involved in those type of day
- 50:13Speaker 6: to day things. So what do you have going on
- 50:15Speaker 6: in your life? Well, I, you know, not much. So
- 50:17Speaker 6: it's like, yeah. How how hard is that for a
- 50:19Speaker 6: producer to try to pull those things out of it? Right.
- 50:22Speaker 6: I mean, I just feel like for this particular city,
- 50:24Speaker 6: it's been kind of the same storyline.
- 50:27Speaker 3: Do you think like the merging of like.
- 50:30Speaker 5: Like I feel like for the good cities that are
- 50:34Speaker 5: like the city's also a character like New York and
- 50:36Speaker 5: Beverly Hills where you just won't get tired of it
- 50:38Speaker 5: because you see these beautiful cities. Like do you think
- 50:42Speaker 5: there'll ever be a time where they kind of just
- 50:44Speaker 5: do Beverly Hills and they keep OGs and women that
- 50:48Speaker 5: age and then it's like Beverly Hills 2.0?
- 50:52Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 50:53Speaker 6: I think the route that they're going to go forward
- 50:55Speaker 6: more is new cities. New cities, because I think you get,
- 50:59Speaker 6: it's less money for the women.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Because everyone's starting off at a lower pay rate.
- 51:03Speaker 6: Yeah, less money. And it's a way to skew younger
- 51:08Speaker 6: in terms of getting to see You know, you like you,
- 51:11Speaker 6: you know, Kyle and you love Kyle because you grew
- 51:13Speaker 6: up watching her.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Right.
- 51:14Speaker 6: So it's like I've watched her kids grow up. When
- 51:16Speaker 6: you see Portia's like 21 years old taking shots at
- 51:19Speaker 6: the bar now, I'm like, you're like, oh, my gosh,
- 51:21Speaker 6: I remember when she was in a diaper on the show.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Right.
- 51:23Speaker 7: Right.
- 51:23Speaker 6: So you're like, holy shit. So you feel very connected
- 51:27Speaker 6: to the, you know, as an audience member watching it.
- 51:30Speaker 6: So I think my take would be, oh, new cities
- 51:34Speaker 6: fall in love with new people. and they start to
- 51:36Speaker 6: build momentum. I mean, Salt Lake had like, you know,
- 51:39Speaker 6: a rough start, I think, you know, in terms of
- 51:41Speaker 6: the fan base. And then it took a couple of
- 51:43Speaker 6: years for it really to pop. But I foresee that
- 51:45Speaker 6: happening with new cities and new.
- 51:48Speaker 3: New cities popping like Salt Lake.
- 51:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:50Speaker 6: I think it just makes more sense. I mean, this brand,
- 51:52Speaker 6: it's a brand. Anytime you see the Real Housewives stamped
- 51:55Speaker 6: on it, you're going to watch it.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 51:57Speaker 5: So let's talk about, um, ladies of London, um, There's
- 52:02Speaker 5: just two episodes out.
- 52:03Speaker 3: I think it airs right after Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,
- 52:06Speaker 3: I think.
- 52:06Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:07Speaker 3: So there's two out.
- 52:09Speaker 6: I'm obsessed.
- 52:10Speaker 3: It was brilliant the way they marketed this.
- 52:14Speaker 5: I'm giving Bravo props like I always do, though I
- 52:17Speaker 5: wish I'd get some props back.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:20Speaker 6: Who do we got to talk to to get that
- 52:22Speaker 6: for you? I don't know.
- 52:23Speaker 5: Andy, I turned on Watch What Happens Live and Bose
- 52:26Speaker 5: was on next to, I'm learning everyone's name, this girl
- 52:31Speaker 5: with the pony, Micah.
- 52:33Speaker 6: Oh, Micah, yes.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Micah.
- 52:34Speaker 6: She's the one that Dara, they had the falling out.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 52:38Speaker 5: And so right when it starts, Andy goes, now when
- 52:42Speaker 5: was the last time you talked to Dara?
- 52:44Speaker 3: And she never came back to the show.
- 52:46Speaker 6: Is it Dara or Dara?
- 52:46Speaker 4: Dara.
- 52:47Speaker 6: I'm saying Dara. I think it's Dara, right?
- 52:49Speaker 3: I don't know. And she's never coming back to the show. No,
- 52:54Speaker 3: she's not in the poster.
- 52:55Speaker 5: And I immediately go, oh my God, London started airing?
- 53:00Speaker 3: I didn't even know.
- 53:00Speaker 5: I immediately went over to Peacock and watched those two
- 53:04Speaker 5: episodes because I'm like, something went down where a cast
- 53:06Speaker 5: member left after two episodes. I was like, that is juicy.
- 53:11Speaker 5: So I watched the two episodes. And, you know, this,
- 53:15Speaker 5: they're not calling it Real Housewives. Do you know why?
- 53:19Speaker 6: Because there is a Real Housewives of London.
- 53:21Speaker 3: And they didn't, they just want to start fresh?
- 53:24Speaker 6: Yeah, well, because I think for them, in the culture
- 53:27Speaker 6: that we're kind of living in, most shows that are
- 53:29Speaker 6: breaking through are shows that either have original IP of
- 53:33Speaker 6: some sort, right? Like, you already are familiar with it. Like,
- 53:36Speaker 6: I always say, like, the only thing in my mind
- 53:38Speaker 6: that has really stuck out in its own form is
- 53:42Speaker 6: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives because that's just like lightning
- 53:44Speaker 6: in a bottle on a show, right? But like these shows,
- 53:46Speaker 6: like Ladies of London, you're already familiar because you know
- 53:50Speaker 6: that there was already a series on Bravo before. So
- 53:53Speaker 6: you're kind of like, oh, let's see what it looks like.
- 53:55Speaker 6: So that is my take of why it's just a
- 53:59Speaker 6: Ladies of London.
- 54:00Speaker 5: Also, I think a Ladies, so the Ladies of London,
- 54:03Speaker 5: so that could be We could now.
- 54:06Speaker 3: Do Ladies of Chicago. Yeah. We could do Ladies of...
- 54:10Speaker 3: I think it's brilliant.
- 54:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 5: Because so many times they're not housewives. They're not married.
- 54:17Speaker 5: They're not straight. And now we actually have a man on.
- 54:23Speaker 6: The show who is.
- 54:26Speaker 5: I think the star of the show, kind of the anchor,
- 54:28Speaker 5: because he's friends with everybody.
- 54:30Speaker 6: He's a producer.
- 54:30Speaker 3: He's really funny and he's dry. He is a real producer.
- 54:33Speaker 6: Oh, I'm just like, you could just tell as a
- 54:34Speaker 6: cast member. Like, he knows, like, he's like, hey, let's
- 54:36Speaker 6: drive this story.
- 54:37Speaker 5: And so, and I think that's the way it should go.
- 54:41Speaker 5: I think if, Real Housewives, I think, should stay a
- 54:45Speaker 5: cast of women.
- 54:46Speaker 3: I mean, I think some things, we just, you know.
- 54:49Speaker 6: If they're not broke, don't fix it. We just gotta have.
- 54:51Speaker 5: But I like this Ladies of London thing where it's,
- 54:56Speaker 5: it's just, it's predominantly still women, but a guy doesn't
- 55:01Speaker 5: just have to be the best friend that comes in
- 55:03Speaker 5: and out. Like, he can actually be a real person
- 55:05Speaker 5: because he really is hanging out with these women and everything.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:09Speaker 6: And, of course, he's so funny and everything. I feel
- 55:12Speaker 6: like they used to do that back in the day
- 55:13Speaker 6: on Housewives. Like, I mean, the gay wasn't, like, the
- 55:16Speaker 6: focal point.
- 55:16Speaker 3: You remember, like, on Real Housewives of Atlanta, they had, like, the, like,
- 55:20Speaker 3: those two guys?
- 55:21Speaker 6: Yeah, they had, oh, my gosh, it was, uh, Oh
- 55:24Speaker 6: my gosh, I was going to say.
- 55:25Speaker 3: One had cheekbones and one.
- 55:26Speaker 6: Dwight.
- 55:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 55:28Speaker 6: It was Dwight Eubanks and then it was.
- 55:29Speaker 3: And then one was like the hairdresser that was like.
- 55:31Speaker 6: Miss Lawrence.
- 55:31Speaker 7: Yes.
- 55:32Speaker 3: Miss Lawrence. Whatever, yeah.
- 55:33Speaker 7: Yes.
- 55:33Speaker 3: And so... But this... But I kind of.
- 55:37Speaker 5: This was a really good casting and, you know, I've
- 55:40Speaker 5: never even been to London, but again, gorgeous, gorgeous city. Yeah.
- 55:46Speaker 5: So there's a lot to look at. So it just
- 55:48Speaker 5: kind of transports you into a beautiful place and.
- 55:53Speaker 3: These people are different.
- 55:54Speaker 6: It's fun.
- 55:55Speaker 3: And there's a few, like half is American, which I
- 55:58Speaker 3: also like.
- 55:59Speaker 6: I can't tell who's who, but I was like, I
- 56:01Speaker 6: don't even need to know who's who because if you
- 56:03Speaker 6: have a premiere like that was, I'm like, I'm just
- 56:05Speaker 6: locked in and I'm going to figure it out along
- 56:07Speaker 6: the way.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 56:08Speaker 5: And I was confused in the beginning between the two
- 56:11Speaker 5: older women.
- 56:12Speaker 3: One that lives with a bird and one that looks
- 56:14Speaker 3: like she has smeared lipstick.
- 56:16Speaker 6: Kimmy and Margot.
- 56:16Speaker 3: Yeah, those are those two.
- 56:18Speaker 6: Yeah, Kimmy and the green rain.
- 56:19Speaker 5: So I'm like, those two are interchangeable. Then there's three...
- 56:23Speaker 5: brunette like model.
- 56:25Speaker 6: Actresses i like her that's the the mod that's the
- 56:28Speaker 6: one who blew the whistle on dar i like her
- 56:30Speaker 6: she's gorgeous.
- 56:30Speaker 5: You know and then there's this beautiful black woman who's
- 56:33Speaker 5: like looks like tandy newton who who has you know
- 56:37Speaker 5: some type of royalty i don't even care if she's
- 56:41Speaker 5: boring yeah i just like to look at her and
- 56:43Speaker 5: i like her outfits and i like that she like
- 56:46Speaker 5: lives in a castle Anyway, the Micah story. So now
- 56:50Speaker 5: I'm going to blow up the Micah story for you.
- 56:52Speaker 5: So too bad, but you know, you can watch it.
- 56:55Speaker 5: So Micah has this friend and she's American and she
- 56:59Speaker 5: is kind of an influencer that's talking about etiquette.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 57:03Speaker 5: And she has this friend who she's like, oh, my God,
- 57:06Speaker 5: we were best friends in college. And she's this beautiful
- 57:08Speaker 5: Asian woman. We don't even know her name, Dara Dara.
- 57:11Speaker 5: And she's actually an architect. And they are cutting it
- 57:15Speaker 5: so brilliantly where the Dara girl is like, oh, I
- 57:18Speaker 5: barely knew Micah in college.
- 57:20Speaker 3: We're not really friends.
- 57:23Speaker 5: And then they have this blow-up scene where it's called
- 57:26Speaker 5: out at the dinner that Dara has called Micah cringe and, like,
- 57:31Speaker 5: been kind of.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Nasty about her.
- 57:32Speaker 5: Uh-huh. And she just basically goes, this isn't for me.
- 57:37Speaker 5: And gets up and, like.
- 57:39Speaker 3: Leaves the show.
- 57:41Speaker 6: I mean, it's, like, it's great. I mean, because now
- 57:43Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, we're still not even in the story. Like,
- 57:46Speaker 6: the two episodes are just about this.
- 57:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:48Speaker 6: No spoiler alert. But, yeah, I mean, it completely takes
- 57:52Speaker 6: a complete turn. Because now we're like, oh, that wasn't
- 57:55Speaker 6: even fully getting into the story. That's, like, now one
- 57:57Speaker 6: and done. Like, we're over that.
- 57:58Speaker 3: I related to the Dara. Because I'm like.
- 58:03Speaker 5: If I was cruel and talked shit about my friend
- 58:09Speaker 5: and was called out on it on camera and I
- 58:12Speaker 5: didn't need to do this job, I think I might
- 58:15Speaker 5: do the same thing. I might be like, just get
- 58:18Speaker 5: me out. People will forget about it.
- 58:20Speaker 3: And people will. If this becomes a hit, people aren't
- 58:23Speaker 3: going to remember that girl in a year or two.
- 58:26Speaker 6: You don't think so?
- 58:27Speaker 3: No, I don't.
- 58:28Speaker 5: But what I thought was really crazy in this day
- 58:31Speaker 5: and age of Epstein Files— Is that the rumor they
- 58:34Speaker 5: drop in the first episode is that same woman, Dara,
- 58:37Speaker 5: who is a bitch to Micah, is a madam.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 58:40Speaker 6: She's an alleged mistress. Yes.
- 58:42Speaker 3: And a madam.
- 58:42Speaker 5: Now, this could be funnier 10 years ago.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:49Speaker 5: When there was the happy hooker and there were the
- 58:51Speaker 5: girls that were hooker lights, like I used to talk about,
- 58:54Speaker 5: and there was the Heidi Fleiss.
- 58:56Speaker 3: But now... It's all negative. It's all not.
- 59:00Speaker 5: One person wants to be a hooker unless they're on
- 59:03Speaker 5: OnlyFans and they do it themselves.
- 59:05Speaker 3: Everyone's trafficked. We never used the word trafficked before. It's
- 59:08Speaker 3: just like.
- 59:10Speaker 5: if she's being accused of this like setting people.
- 59:14Speaker 6: Up well that's it's a time that it's like you're
- 59:17Speaker 6: you want to watch how you for yeah.
- 59:20Speaker 5: You're saying it yeah and I'm like oh my god
- 59:22Speaker 5: and then the fact that that Dara woman like.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Was like well it's not true so I don't.
- 59:28Speaker 6: Well that's the thing too is that I said See,
- 59:30Speaker 6: when that's that first of all, great casting, because I mean,
- 59:33Speaker 6: to me, I'm like somebody had to reveal that there was,
- 59:37Speaker 6: you know, suspicion that she was an alleged madam if
- 59:40Speaker 6: that's already coming out like the first one or two episodes. Right.
- 59:42Speaker 6: So like that to me is great casting. But for this,
- 59:46Speaker 6: I think that's the problem is like running away from
- 59:49Speaker 6: the cameras and doing that. Now they're breaking the fourth wall,
- 59:53Speaker 6: which is what I love, because I think it gives
- 59:55Speaker 6: more insight on what actually like you're seeing the producers.
- 59:58Speaker 6: hiding behind the back with the little monitor, you know,
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: in the kitchen when she comes in and she's like,
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: I'm done, I'm out, you know? And I think that
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: to me is- And.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: What's crazy is when I heard about that she left
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: the show for Mandy Cohen, I'm starting to watch it.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, well, she's going to be like, you're
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: accusing me of being a fucking mad.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm out.
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: No, it was just, she was being accused of being
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: like a shitty friend or a shitty person. And they
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: all were like, we've all heard shitty things about her.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: The madam is probably the most flattering thing they said.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: Well, that's the thing too, right? Is that she came in,
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: she obviously does well for herself financially. She came in
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: for the fame. And I'm like, what possessed this woman
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: to come into a show where she's getting called a
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: madam and this is like, we're not talking about like,
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: I'm like, girl, that's child's play in housewives world. You know,
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: if you get called a madam, a hooker, like we,
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: what are you, okay.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: What did you think about it? Because I thought.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: If someone said, like, I just had someone recently say,
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: I heard that you, you know, someone told me you
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: said this about me.
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: I did a little investigation. I'm like, you got a,
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: you got a message from a troll. Like I've never
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: talked about you outside of when we've been on the
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: show together. It's just, And what they said that I
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: said was never anything I've ever said about anybody. It's
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: typical mean girl shit. If you listen to me, if
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: chat GPT, if you ask chat GPT, what's something mean
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: Heather would say.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: About another woman? It wouldn't be that.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: Because they would have taken everything I've said for 10
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: years and given the right answer. I'm like, this just
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: isn't something I've said. So I did immediately like, correct
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: this girl and going, just, can you look where the
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: source is? This isn't because I didn't want this person
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: to go to bed.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: Feeling that I would do. Like, I was like, I
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: know how it feels to be trolled by a troll
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: and it's all.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: Made up just so they just were like, just want
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: to fuck with people. So I'm always the one that's like,
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: I'm always saying that about like juicy crimes too. Like
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: when someone's being accused of murder, I'm like, and they're
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: just sitting there and they don't take the stand.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: I'm like, I think I'd be like, I didn't kill
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: my husband.
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: You're going to fight for it. I don't know.
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: But I thought it was like a very weird reaction
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: when it came out, when the Micah girls goes, look,
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: they were talking at this party that you're a madam.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: And she's like.
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: I know. It was like, it was very weird.
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: I'm like, either you knew this scene was coming or
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: you have heard this before or you something, not that
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: you were it and making a commission, but maybe there
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: was something in your past where you did introduce somebody
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: to some situation that was a situation ship involving money.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: Well, the producers had to like, there's no way that
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: this would have been brewing and she would have no
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: idea that this would have been a thing because I
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: think Micah brought it up to her on camera. Remember Micah,
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: And she was like, oh, well, someone told me, like,
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: she deflected. So she just gave me the vibe of
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: she was somebody who probably was, like, difficult to work
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: with in terms of, like, I'm not going to talk
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: about it. I'm going to completely shut down. And you
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: can't go on a show like this and shut down. Like,
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: that's just not how it works. Because you're going to
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: need to defend yourself. You're going to need to push back.
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: You're going to need to talk about uncomfortable things. I mean,
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: the thing with... Micah came up to her and.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Was like, I.
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: Can we talk about it? No, babe, but I love you.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: And she like kissed her. It was like the weirdest thing.
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: I'm like, what is this? It was almost like.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: A Jesus and Judas thing.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, it was so bizarre. But I was like,
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: I'm interested. I want to see, like, I want more.
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: But that to me was just somebody who came in
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: not knowing what this world entails and signed up for
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: something that she thought was just going to be like
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: rainbows and butterflies. And I'm like, that's not it, girl. Like,
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: if you know you're signing up for a show like this.
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: And you know what also makes me excited about this?
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: It's like the same way when people write me and
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: they're like, okay, we're doing our girls weekend in LA.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: And besides, you know, going to whatever, this restaurant, whatever,
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: like weird places should we.
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: Go, whatever.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: This makes me go crazy.
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: I definitely want to plan a girl's trip to London
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: since I've never been.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: And I want to go to that Asian restaurant.
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: All the spots that they've gone in.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Now I want to do all that stuff because.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: Isn't it funny? Because people do that in LA all
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: the time. They're like, let's go to Sir. And I'm like, okay.
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: And now we're like, no, let's go to London and
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: do this. I'm like, I'm down. That actually would be
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: really fun.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: It would be really fun. Anyway, everyone should watch it.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: I think it's a real fresh show. Now there's rumors
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: that Real Housewives of Miami is....
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: On an indefinite pause or not coming back.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: What can you give us an inside scoop?
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: I don't believe that to be true because I feel
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: like there's no way that they would just pull the
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: plug on this. I think what this comes down to, again, casting,
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: you need women. First of all, the people love Dr.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Nicole.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: She's never coming back to the show. She doesn't want to.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: And then you get somebody with like money, like Stephanie,
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: who's been vocal about saying, I don't know if I
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: would put myself into that again. Todd has a lawsuit
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: out against Bravo, apparently.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: But then she's back with him. Yeah.
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: So I just think. And then also, you know, you
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: got to look at it. Larsa, not married. Kids are older. Adriana,
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: kids are older, not married. I'm trying to think who else.
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: I mean, Lisa, she's going through a divorce, has young kids.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: But see, I.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: See you just saying all that. I'm remembering him and I.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I think they're all great. Like, I think it.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: I say bring them back. Like, I feel like they're all, like...
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: I love it.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: I wish I was the... Like, I don't make... This
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: is from, like, my understanding of just, like, where the
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: connection of where viewers don't, like... I mean, they have
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: a cult following, but, like... It's not huge. The ratings
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: are skyrocketing, you know? And I think it comes down to...
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: Why is that? Disconnection of the women and not having
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: real story. I mean, like, how many times can you watch... Lisa, go,
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: you know, date.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Date and then fight with, yeah, fight with Larsa.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Alexia.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: And it's Miami too, right? Like it's a hard, it's
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: like Beverly Hills, another city that it's hard because you
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: get a lot of people who maybe look the part,
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: but do they actually fit the bill? Like you can
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: look the part, but do you have the financial means
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: to live that lifestyle? Are you really connected to these
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: women by any ounce of degree of separation to connect
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: them to each other? Um, and you know, do you
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: really have the personality where you can step in?
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: Yeah, you kind of get me thinking like with the
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: Rhode Island coming and stuff and the success of Salt
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: Lake City, even though I was sort of like not,
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: not overly into Dallas and I don't really miss it
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: because I felt like there wasn't, I don't know.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: It's really about the people.
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: So it's like, but I wonder, yeah, if the city's
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: almost too big and the characters in it aren't big
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: enough or something like, it kind of has to fit.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: Like the city has to be the right size and
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: the connection always has to be real, which is why
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: like New Jersey and, you know, the sisters, how it
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: originally started was such a hit. What do you think
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: will happen with New Jersey? We keep waiting to hear
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: what's going on there.
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: Same thing. I think the network has been so used
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: to turn and burn. Like, you know, New Jersey, infamous
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: for that. I mean, they filmed a reunion while they
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: were still filming a season at one point, like they
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: would just crunch these bad boys out. I think now,
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: because they know that other cities are coming, they have
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: other shows, a lot more shows on their slate. They
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: don't need to turn these shows out the way that
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: they used to. And I actually think for a show
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: like this, it's beneficial more time has passed because then
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: you can get past, okay, we're not doing another Teresa
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: versus Melissa thing. They made amends. They know what they're doing.
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: You know, and it kind of lets things cool off
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: a little bit. And I also think another city that's
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: hard to cast just because, well, state to cast, because,
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: you know, who is really connected? Who fits that bill?
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: You have really strong stars on the show. I mean,
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: Teresa alone is, I mean, a star. You have Margaret,
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: you have Melissa, you have Dolores. Like those are heavy hitters.
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: So it's like, where do those girls stack to? And
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: then you have to think the age part of it too, right?
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: Who are the women that are coming in with young kids?
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: They did try to do it this season. I don't know.
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: I mean, they didn't, it didn't land. I feel like
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: for the viewers with these two, because I think the
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: Teresa and Melissa stuff was so dark again.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:30Speaker 6: Um, it'll come back. I, they're not going to cancel
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: New Jersey. They're not going to cancel Miami either. I
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: think it comes, I mean, I'm saying this, I don't
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: a hundred percent know, but in my gut, I can't
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: imagine that they would let these shows go. It, to me,
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: it's all about good casting and taking their time with it. Yeah.
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: Um, oops. I, uh, Yeah, I think it's interesting that
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: they just plucked Dolores out to go.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: And spend a summer in Rhode Island. Well, see, that's where.
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: I think she has a genuine connection to one of
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: the women. And I feel like that is a smart move,
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: them doing that, because I even feel like, oh, the
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: New York reboot. Carol has now been announced to be
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: in the mix of it. And I'm like, oh, okay,
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: this is really smart and a good tactic because you
- 1:09:23Speaker 6: bring in that core audience of like that legacy of
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: what you liked of the show, right? Like you liked
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: Carol because she really fit New York. You feel like
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: you know her. Same thing with Dolores. You feel like
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: you know her. You do know her. You watch her
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: on Traders of New Jersey all these years. You put
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: her in a new city. Then you're like, oh, there's
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: something there. It's different than just plucking brand new people
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: and throwing them to the wolves. I think it's like,
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: maybe a new tactic that Bravo is using of like,
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: let's give some IP of people that we know already
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: and then build a show around that in a way.
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Yeah. When does Rhode Island come out?
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: April 2nd.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Oh, and then the Valley comes out then too, right?
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Like April 1st or something.
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: That'll be an exciting situation.
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: Going back to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: What happens when you have, like, the friend?
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Like, Natalie goes.
- 1:10:18Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. We don't know her at all. Yeah. Poor girl.
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: Natalie goes... Is just there.
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: And she goes to Italy. And I don't know if, like,
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: she never pops during the season. And they can't, like,
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: really cut around her.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: But then, you know.
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: it's like she shows up one day and she's like,
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: I had a happy ending by a man at a massage.
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: And I'm like, when they did that, it was like,
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: we don't need girl. That's the first time I ever
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: heard you talk.
- 1:10:44Speaker 5: I felt like that was so planned. And it's like,
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: it's not even original, like joke or story or anything.
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: And it's kind of gross, but you can't even be
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: mad at her. Cause if not saying you are, but
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: the audience, I feel like in terms of saying like, Oh, uh,
- 1:11:00Speaker 6: You know, why is she, like, so— Try to be provocative.
- 1:11:03Speaker 6: Or why is she just so boring? It's like, that's
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: just— they' re not giving her enough airtime. Or she didn't pop.
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: Or she just doesn't— They cut out all her other
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: interesting stuff or whatever. And, like, but I'm sure, like,
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: she maybe had a story like that. And they're like,
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: tell that story because, like, all the women will die.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: But I also want to say that story, like, sometimes
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: I wonder, like, you know, some— Some guy that's producing
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: it maybe heard that and thought that was like, oh
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: my God, a woman getting a happy ending. It's like
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: there was a whole storyline on Sex and the City
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: about that in which, you know, it was written by
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: men where Kim Cattrall like gets kicked out of the
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: spa because she keeps going back for her happy ending.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: But also... Does someone at home... Honestly, I don't want
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: to think about... That's gross.
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: You don't like that?
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: You don't?
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: I don't think it's... Is that where Heather McDonald draws
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: the line on Housewives?
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: I get why it's... In a gay world.
- 1:11:59Speaker 6: It's like a real treat. But for women.
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: But for a woman to think that you're getting a
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: massage and that guy just starts to diddle your bean
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: and you're like.
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: I didn't really know how... Who cares?
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: I'm divorced. There's just something about it that's like... I
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: don't know.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: I mean, nobody even really made a big deal out
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: of it. And I haven't until now. I was just thinking, like,
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: that's the only thing we're going to remember this poor
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: girl by.
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: About getting a happy ending at her massage. I didn't
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: even know what a woman's happy ending. Like, I know,
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: I mean, I'm gay. I live in West Hollywood.
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: I think we all know what a happy ending is
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: for any guy. There's a dick and there's something you
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: do with it.
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: But I didn't know with girls. Like, I was like, oh, like,
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: I didn't know that was a real thing. I went
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: to a place. I go to a massage place.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: I mean, I assume it's. He's massaging you.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: And then he starts, you know, getting to a place
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: where you then orgasm, whatever that is.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: I figure with, you know, finger you, whatever. And, you know,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: and then.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: I almost got insulted because I put my friend onto
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: a place. We're not going to out the name, but
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: it's a place close by that I go to for,
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: they've given me legit massages. I've been like, oh my gosh,
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: I feel like a new person. My friend has gone
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: to about four different people, gets a happy ending every
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: time he goes. And I'm like, do I take this personally? Like,
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: why are they not doing this to me? Like, why
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: are you getting every person on the roster?
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: I thought there was like an unwritten rule hint where
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: it's like you kind of say, I thought it was like,
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: do you want that? And then you either like for
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: men at like places that do both just legit massage.
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: I one time was somewhere in Encino and I had
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: like an hour to kill. And I'm in like a
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: square thing and I see like the little, you know,
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: cat waving, you.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Know, like Asian place, whatever.
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: And I'm like, I like love a massage. I don't
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: care if it's like a random spot, whatever. So I
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: go in and it's like all covered up and everything.
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: And this lady comes out, she's like, hello. And I'm like, oh, hi.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: I wanted to get a massage. And they're like, no.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: And so then I realized, oh, my God, this is
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: a legit sex shop.
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: Oh, like it was like.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: They're not going to take me.
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: Somebody off this.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: They only want men, give the happy ending, pay more
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: than the $ 42 for the massage. And then I was like, oh,
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: because I, yeah, like, like, because. when I go into
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: those strip mall places, they're totally legit. I get a
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: massage and there might be somebody in a cot laying
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: next to me getting a massage, but I'm like, whatever.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: It's half the price. It's Burke Williams.
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: But yeah, I, I just thought that was just such
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: a weird thing. And then I feel kind of bad.
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: Cause like, this is what she's going to be remembered.
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: And I doesn't, and then someone made a, made a
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: video about like, all of a sudden I'm touring on
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: the after show and she's sitting there.
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: They're like, why is she on the after show? She
- 1:14:41Speaker 6: must pop later then. This is what I'm thinking. If
- 1:14:45Speaker 6: you want to hear my hot take, my take is
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: that I'm thinking she doesn't pop that. What happens sometimes
- 1:14:51Speaker 6: on these shows is that somebody can come in as
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: a full time cast member. Yeah. And it just the
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: cards don't pan out for you. Like I had somebody
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: on a franchise who started off full time. They could
- 1:15:01Speaker 6: not give the story that they promised and they were
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: just became a friend of they were.
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: You know, when you say that without getting yourself in trouble.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: Give the story you promised. What's an example, hypothetically, like
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: let's do a hypothetical so you're not revealing anything.
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: I tell you something in our interviews. Everyone's like, holy shit,
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: she's great.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: Have her on.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Like what would be a story that then I don't deliver?
- 1:15:26Speaker 6: My husband is going to be on camera. We have
- 1:15:29Speaker 6: this great relationship and it's thriving. You know, I'm working
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: on rebuilding my relationship with my sibling and my parents.
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: Parents don't want to be on camera. Siblings don't want
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: to be on camera. Husband doesn't want to be on camera.
- 1:15:43Speaker 6: You're like, I mean, what are we showing you knitting? And,
- 1:15:46Speaker 6: you know, like, what are we going to do at
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: this point? You know, it's like, well, I love Sutton.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: But the other day her scene was watching her TV
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: with three cats and a dog.
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: And I almost felt like.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: I almost felt that as a viewer and as someone
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: that knows TV.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: Like they shared to show that they they showed that part.
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: Just to do it.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: Just to kind of like fuck her a little bit,
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: to kind.
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: Of be like, well, there's nothing going on.
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: If you are not back next season, it's because you
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: maybe couldn't deliver those things, which is unfortunate because sometimes
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: you do, like I said, get to a certain age.
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: And if you're not dating anyone and you're not and
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: your kids don't live with you and They're not particularly
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: like wanting to be on the show or FaceTime you
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: every day and tell you about their exciting thing or
- 1:16:34Speaker 5: have you be stressed about them.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: It's like, what are you going to do?
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: What are you going to do?
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: Well, that's why I think with Natalie, it's either something
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: was promised or things were just so boring that they
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: brought her in there with the assumption of like, maybe
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: she'll make it pop and give a little more. And
- 1:16:51Speaker 6: it's either that she got overshadowed or they brought her
- 1:16:54Speaker 6: in and she didn't pop the way that they thought
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: she was going to pop.
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: But.
- 1:16:58Speaker 6: That's disappointing because I think this season they needed someone
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: like that to really make it happen.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: So so hypothetically, do you keep Amanda?
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: If I was producing this?
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:17:13Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, I'm keeping her. Absolutely. Like I just like
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: I like somebody that can come on a show and
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: just make bitches mad just for being them. Like, yeah,
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: that to me is just hysterical. Granted, if they're really
- 1:17:23Speaker 6: toxic behind the scenes or whatever, like let that come
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: to light but I don't think she is I.
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: Think that she's just but she's getting a reaction and
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: that's important.
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: Oh my gosh I think it's so amazing I just
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: love when someone just comes in and it just lights
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: people up and they just get mad and right now
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: it just feels like her against everybody yeah Kyle is
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: just like probably holding on because Kyle's been through the
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: ropes that like been through the ringer of knowing this
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: girl is gonna get next season off if I don't
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: jump in and help her out, right? So she's her
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: only real friend at this point.
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: Which I kind of like, too.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: I kind of like her being like, well, we are
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: supposed to give opinions about each other, and then you're
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: mad that she's giving an opinion about you.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: Like, what else are we doing on the fucking show?
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: So I kind of.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Like that there's been more moments like that. Like, our
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: job is to talk about our lives and talk about
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: each other. The other thing is, sadly, Rachel Zoe was robbed.
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: And now, you know, I talked about this on the show. Yeah,
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: so she was robbed. Kathy Hilton, while her husband was there,
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: was robbed. Kyle has been robbed. Dorit has been robbed.
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: Garcelle has had two SWAT situations where someone calls a
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: SWAT team to her house. What do you, has that
- 1:18:33Speaker 5: ever been an issue in that you're showing these people's homes?
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: I mean, on the other flip side of it, everyone
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: can find your address. So unless you live in high
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: security gated community, people could drive up to.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: Your house, they could take a photo of the outside
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: of your.
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: House, Even if you're doing a false house on the outside,
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: like they did the Kardashians for so many years.
- 1:18:54Speaker 6: I mean, Rihanna's house too.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: That was horrific.
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: So, I mean, does that ever, is that ever a
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: discussion or like, and then you're supposed to show your
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: goods and show that you're wealthy yet.
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: Well, that's the problem is that they want you to
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: show this, but then there's a really bad side of
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: it when you're putting it out there that people are
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: going to say, well, we know they're at BravoCon during
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: this weekend, so let's go and rob. Like, I mean,
- 1:19:18Speaker 6: that's really.
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: I mean, there's something.
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: Sure.
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: Even if you don't post in real time being like,
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: I'm at this restaurant and you actually take your photos
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: and you do it. Oh, we had, you know, now
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: I'm back. Here was my great weekend at Watch What
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: Happens Live. You're at Watch What Happens Live.
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: You might not be filming right now, but you filmed
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: it two hours ago, which means you're.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Not in L.A.
- 1:19:39Speaker 6: I've seen that in real time. There was one time
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: we were in Vegas and I saw a housewife there
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: and I was like, wait, is that her? And I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: that is her. But I'm watching her story and her
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: stories that she's posting at her house. She's there. But
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, no, she's here.
- 1:19:53Speaker 5: That's smart.
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: And then I saw a couple of days later is
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: when she posted that she was in Vegas. And I'm like, oh,
- 1:19:58Speaker 6: that's probably because she was back home at that point.
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: That is very smart.
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: But sometimes you just you're too big or you're on
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: a show. You're on a live show. You're on a
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: New York show.
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: And people know your schedule.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: You really can.
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: I mean, I guess I was saying like, you know, yeah,
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: I think that's another thing people need to consider when
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: they go on a Real Housewives show. Then on the
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: case of Potomac, they jumped on the being robbed bandwagon,
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: but they were never robbed.
- 1:20:24Speaker 6: You're like, can't make this shit up, right?
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: I mean, they were never robbed. And then they said
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: we were robbed. And then they added things to.
- 1:20:36Speaker 6: Well, to your point about the house exterior shots, there
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: were there were moments specifically when I worked on Interpump Rules,
- 1:20:42Speaker 6: when a lot of the cast members were starting to
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: make money and they were buying all their houses in
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: the valley. And they were a lot of them were like,
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: we don't want exterior shots of our house because those
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: houses aren't in a gated community. They're just like right
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: off the street. I mean, granted, some of those houses, too,
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: are off the street, too. I mean, they might have
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: big gates in Beverly Hills, but I mean, Sutton lives
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: on a main road, you know, so it's like we
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: see it. But yeah, that has been a point of
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: people like, I don't know if I want my full
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: exterior of my house out there. But that's a big thing.
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: Like in casting, like when you're looking, you're like, what
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: does your house look like?
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: Like, that's a big thing. They want to know if
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: you are walking the walk, you're talking the talk. Like,
- 1:21:20Speaker 6: so I feel like that is the housewives brand of
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: like seeing, like you're saying, what do you live like?
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: What is your lifestyle?
- 1:21:27Speaker 7: But.
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: I feel like the future, that could be a big
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: thing for people not wanting to put that out there now.
- 1:21:33Speaker 5: That's what was so funny about this pretty woman on
- 1:21:36Speaker 5: Ladies of London, that she lives in like a fucking
- 1:21:39Speaker 5: hobbit house.
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: Oh, the one with the bird? Yeah, she lives with
- 1:21:43Speaker 6: a bird. It's like a tiny.
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: the most tiny, I don't even know how the cameraman
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: fit in there.
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: The paint's peeling on the roof. There's like bird shit everywhere.
- 1:21:51Speaker 6: But then I'm like super intrigued with her life story.
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: Oh yeah.
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: Cause she's like, Oh, I had all this money and
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: then I got nothing. And now I'm like, I live
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: with a bird.
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: And like, I was like, There's something there.
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: As long as it's honest, I don't care.
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: That's how I feel too. That's why it's hard. Like
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: there have been women.
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: I'd rather see someone live poorly, but have an interesting
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: story than someone to act and buy all the fake
- 1:22:12Speaker 5: shit and act like they're rich.
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: I'm so happy you're saying that because when there have
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: been projects that I've worked on where if their house
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: doesn't look the part, they're not in the mix. Like
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: that's a deal breaker. Like if your house doesn't look
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: a certain way, like it's like, well, what makes this
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: real housewives? Why would you come on here? And I agree.
- 1:22:30Speaker 6: I'd rather see somebody live in maybe a more modest home.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: But then in the bigger picture is like, does that
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: take away the image of housewives? Because what do you
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: think of housewives? It's women who live a particular life,
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: you know, an affluent life, an expensive life. So it's like, well,
- 1:22:47Speaker 6: if she's living in the house that, you know, the
- 1:22:50Speaker 6: kid that I graduated high school with just bought, you know,
- 1:22:52Speaker 6: it's like, does that really mean anything? But I agree.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: I think it's like as long as you're like in.
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: Interesting and you're you know like as long as you're
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: doing the job you're clever you're funny you have an
- 1:23:03Speaker 5: interesting point of view you're fun to watch on tv
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: because whether you're attractive or both or you know how
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: to put it together or and you actually have a
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: real connection to the these other women i mean like
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: gina people always criticize gina on oc she's not rich
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: yeah her casita so what like you know what i
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: mean she's yeah done she's funny in the confessional she's
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: interesting like.
- 1:23:27Speaker 6: Oh she's to me i feel like she's become somebody
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: like full like she knows her job now like she's
- 1:23:33Speaker 6: great like i think she's actually oh.
- 1:23:35Speaker 5: The thing that people forget is that it's just all
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: subjective it's.
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: Entertainment yeah you were not hiring people to work.
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: At the factory yeah where you're like well you're supposed
- 1:23:43Speaker 5: to know how to work a 25 inch screw or
- 1:23:46Speaker 5: something like there's no criteria like and so it's just
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: like No rules apply in entertainment.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: Just be fucking entertaining.
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: Well, I think their thing of what they do is
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: that's the friend of role. Right. We can get a
- 1:23:58Speaker 6: Brandy Glanville. Brandy did not live like the rest of
- 1:24:01Speaker 6: the Beverly Hills ladies. And what did they do? They're like,
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: you're going to be a friend of Ray because.
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: You mean afterwards because she became a regular.
- 1:24:06Speaker 6: Well, yeah, she did. But that's because she proved herself
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: as a friend of her personality. Like you're saying, it's
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: like she's quick, savvy, witty, but she did not live
- 1:24:14Speaker 6: in a very aspirational life in terms of financials. You know,
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: and I think that's what they do because then their
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: point would be, well, if we just let anybody with,
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: you know, a regular house or regular lifestyle, then that's
- 1:24:27Speaker 6: just now every, it's a free for all. Anybody can
- 1:24:29Speaker 6: join the show.
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: But I kind of feel like that is Salt Lake.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
