- 0:03Speaker 1: All right, all right, yeah, live from Philly, it's the
- 0:09Speaker 1: number one rated poly and Tony foolsca Holy fools go
- 0:15Speaker 1: here with Tony Foolsco and Dony. You know, we gotta
- 0:19Speaker 1: tell all the people. If you're watching on your tube
- 0:21Speaker 1: or on our long time simulcast partner w P Colz,
- 0:24Speaker 1: Philly's own channel, you may have noticed something different in
- 0:28Speaker 1: our open You know, if you listen to the last
- 0:31Speaker 1: week's episode, which I must say, Tony, we totally saved
- 0:34Speaker 1: Donovan McNabb. This is true. Eagles quarterback agreed to be
- 0:39Speaker 1: a guest on the show and then totally ghosted us
- 0:43Speaker 1: at the last minute. Then, you know, Tony, we probably
- 0:45Speaker 1: should have known he was totally unreliable when we saw
- 0:48Speaker 1: him throw up in the Super Bowl. That was a
- 0:51Speaker 1: short sign there. Yeah. Well, anyway, Donovan McNabb's photo at
- 0:55Speaker 1: the top of the show has now been replaced with
- 0:57Speaker 1: Nick Foles, who you know has canceled done as many times,
- 1:01Speaker 1: but has never thrown up in the Super Bowl, so
- 1:04Speaker 1: you know exactly not good graces, yep, and he only
- 1:07Speaker 1: threw up touchdowns, was it, Tony? There you go, good one. Anyway,
- 1:12Speaker 1: our guess today we gotta give a little disclaimer here.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You know, we have a rule on this show never
- 1:18Speaker 1: to have kickers as guests because you know, nobody cares.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Would kickers have to say, you know, their ratings exactly.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I don't think so either. Anyway, last week we ought
- 1:28Speaker 1: to take on this show that went more than viral,
- 1:31Speaker 1: it went mega viral, and you know what we said
- 1:35Speaker 1: was Dac should be blamed for that terrible Cowboys kicker
- 1:39Speaker 1: Brett ma you know, missing those extra points. Well, our
- 1:42Speaker 1: guest apparently he wants to weigh in. He's a two
- 1:45Speaker 1: time Super Bowl champion kicker with the Giants, Lawrence Times,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and unlike Donovan McNabb, he actually confirmed, So I think
- 1:53Speaker 1: they'll be here. Yeah, he was probably so excited that
- 1:56Speaker 1: someone wanted to talk to him on his show, or
- 1:59Speaker 1: even just talk to period. Yeah. Well, until then, we
- 2:02Speaker 1: actually have new Cowboys disasters to cover. You know, they're
- 2:05Speaker 1: they're screwing up so much left and right. It's almost
- 2:08Speaker 1: time to keep up with this thing. Really called it.
- 2:11Speaker 1: We told you the Cowboys would suck and the Eagles
- 2:14Speaker 1: would win the Super Bowl and what we call predictions
- 2:16Speaker 1: coming true. It's why we're the most trusted name in sports.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Dots for twenty three almost twenty four years now, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: we're gonna spreak down all the major story lines from
- 2:24Speaker 1: the playoffs in a moment. But first, you know, got
- 2:28Speaker 1: to pay the bills, even though we could totally afford.
- 2:31Speaker 1: That's what they say. Uh. An important message from today's sponsor.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Are good friends at Cricket Wireless? Are you paying too
- 2:39Speaker 1: much for your wireless? Well, then you're a an idiot. Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 1: what do you think your phone calls are that important?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Do you think you're the president of something? Cricket Wireless
- 2:50Speaker 1: the number twelve name in telecommunications, Cricket Wireless. Alright, Tony,
- 2:56Speaker 1: now that we got that business out of the way,
- 2:58Speaker 1: it's time to address the big a story in all
- 3:00Speaker 1: of sports. Of course, you know what I'm talking about,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and that's why right now we're gonna bring you a
- 3:05Speaker 1: Fusco Show special report, Cowboys in Crisis. Boys, yet another
- 3:17Speaker 1: embarrassing loss by one of the most losing his franchises
- 3:20Speaker 1: in all of sports, the Dallas Cowboys taking a huge
- 3:24Speaker 1: l from the San Francisco forty Niners and the Scott
- 3:28Speaker 1: just having a rough Tony romosque performance throwing two interceptions
- 3:33Speaker 1: and you know, it should have been more. But you know,
- 3:35Speaker 1: the forty nine is they kept dropping all those easy
- 3:38Speaker 1: picks because they were probably so in shock by those passes.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Doctor couldn't. Yeah, they couldn't actually making it that easy
- 3:45Speaker 1: for me. They couldn't. They couldn't get over the shock. Anyway.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You know, that's embarrassing performance. You know, came after he
- 3:52Speaker 1: led the league in interceptions during the regular season, even
- 3:56Speaker 1: though he only started a paltry twelve games. Any Way,
- 4:00Speaker 1: after the loss to the forty nine is, Dak said
- 4:02Speaker 1: about all those interceptions, I said, quote, I promise the
- 4:06Speaker 1: number will never be this high again. Uh, Dony, does
- 4:11Speaker 1: this sound to you like, you know, just talk or
- 4:14Speaker 1: can Dack actually deliver on that very bold promise? You know,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I think he can. In fact, it's very clear what
- 4:23Speaker 1: Dac needs to do next season. If he wants to
- 4:26Speaker 1: throw fewer interceptions, he needs more injuries. The more he's injured,
- 4:32Speaker 1: the fewer games he can play in, and the fewer
- 4:35Speaker 1: interceptions he can throw. Just look at the season. Dak's
- 4:39Speaker 1: numbers were great in that year. Sure, he only started
- 4:43Speaker 1: five games, but he also only threw four interceptions. So
- 4:48Speaker 1: if I'm Mike McCarthy, I'm telling Dak stop working on
- 4:52Speaker 1: throwing passes and start working on throwing your back out.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Terrific analysis and also advice that Tony just terrific. And
- 5:02Speaker 1: you know, when you step back and you take what
- 5:04Speaker 1: they call a bird's eye perspective at the Cowboys and
- 5:07Speaker 1: just yet another disappointing seasoned by them, it's easy to
- 5:11Speaker 1: spot where the problem is. You know, people think the
- 5:13Speaker 1: problem starts at the end of the season. No, no, no,
- 5:17Speaker 1: the problem it happens before the season ever starts. You see,
- 5:21Speaker 1: because the Cowboys used to be good, you know, decades ago.
- 5:24Speaker 1: For some reason, now people get it in the heads
- 5:27Speaker 1: that they can win Super Bowls. And you know, Tony,
- 5:29Speaker 1: that just puts too much Prussia on everybody involved, the players,
- 5:33Speaker 1: the coaches. It's too much pressure to handle. And Tony,
- 5:36Speaker 1: you know, you you came up with a solution the
- 5:38Speaker 1: other day that I thought was just brilliant. Why you
- 5:41Speaker 1: just go ahead and tell the people what that was. Yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 1: you know, since the Cowboys are too terrible to compete
- 5:47Speaker 1: for Super Bowls, they need to do what they call
- 5:49Speaker 1: in business a rebrand. They need a name that's more
- 5:53Speaker 1: representative of their horrible brand. I think The Cowboys need
- 5:58Speaker 1: a new nickname, and there's a perfect it's one sitting
- 6:00Speaker 1: right there. Unused the Oilers. They never won a Super Bowl,
- 6:06Speaker 1: they never even went to a Super Bowl. And Jerry
- 6:09Speaker 1: Jones his best work wasn't in football but in oil.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So just rebrand the team the Dallas Oilers. That will
- 6:18Speaker 1: take the pressure off everybody. Now, if they just make
- 6:22Speaker 1: the playoffs or even finish above five hundred, everyone will say, hey,
- 6:27Speaker 1: that's pretty good for the Oilers. What an education that
- 6:32Speaker 1: don'ty so much smart advice? Again, by and before we
- 6:36Speaker 1: move on, I just want to go back quickly to
- 6:38Speaker 1: the interception machine known as Dak Prescott because you know,
- 6:42Speaker 1: the organization, the Cowboys or the Oilers, you know, whatever
- 6:45Speaker 1: you want to call them. Now, they're in a very
- 6:47Speaker 1: tricky situation here. You know, because he's got that contract.
- 6:50Speaker 1: You know, what are you doing? You know, you know
- 6:52Speaker 1: you look at it because he's got that huge cap hit. Well,
- 6:55Speaker 1: they can't cut him without losing a boy there. And
- 6:58Speaker 1: you know, because he's got that contract, well, nobody in
- 7:02Speaker 1: their right mind is gonna want to trade for him.
- 7:04Speaker 1: And you know, usually, you know, we have solutions, they're
- 7:07Speaker 1: very simple, but I don't know if the Cowboys have
- 7:10Speaker 1: a way out of this, do you. You know, I
- 7:13Speaker 1: don't want to get into too much detail, given that
- 7:16Speaker 1: we're on air here broadcasting to millions of people, but
- 7:20Speaker 1: let's just say I do know a few people who
- 7:23Speaker 1: happen to specialize in this sort of situation. Just one
- 7:27Speaker 1: phone call, and again I don't want to say too much,
- 7:31Speaker 1: but you know, Dac he just kind of goes away.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You know, Again, I don't want to say too much,
- 7:37Speaker 1: but Quincy Carter was a Cowboys quarterback and uh, have
- 7:41Speaker 1: you seen him since the year two thousand four? Nope?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Me neither. Wow. Well, you know, I don't want to
- 7:50Speaker 1: say too much here either, don'ty, But you know you
- 7:54Speaker 1: made the point. You know, if you're the Cowboys here,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you you do have to explore all options, don't you?
- 8:00Speaker 1: All options on the table? Well, that right there concludes
- 8:04Speaker 1: our special report, Cowboys and Crisis, and leads to our
- 8:09Speaker 1: next special report, Jets in Crisis. Jets, Ye do another
- 8:17Speaker 1: team struggling at quarterback with seemingly no end in sight,
- 8:21Speaker 1: The New York Jets, who finished the season with many
- 8:24Speaker 1: unanswered questions like who they're starting quarterback should be and
- 8:28Speaker 1: of course, which forty two year old mom slept with
- 8:31Speaker 1: one of their quarterbacks. But that's neither here nor there.
- 8:34Speaker 1: The big story right now maybe an end in sight.
- 8:37Speaker 1: There are rumors that the Jets could be engineering a
- 8:40Speaker 1: trade for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, And when you break
- 8:44Speaker 1: it down, don't here Rogers. He seems like he may
- 8:48Speaker 1: actually be a perfect fit in New York, isn't that right? Yep?
- 8:53Speaker 1: From what I see, Aaron Rodgers is close to achieving
- 8:57Speaker 1: the necessary level of NUS to make him eligible to
- 9:00Speaker 1: be a Jets quarterback. All his numbers, including passer rating
- 9:05Speaker 1: are down like two, which has him right on track.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Let me demonstrate on this chart. On the left side
- 9:14Speaker 1: that line represents fit and on the right side that
- 9:18Speaker 1: line represents sheess. As you can see, the shittier that
- 9:22Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers gets, the more he fits in with the Jets.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Right now, Aaron Rodgers has a somewhat solid level of
- 9:30Speaker 1: fit and sheeness. My only concern is that he might
- 9:35Speaker 1: need a couple more years to achieve the proper level
- 9:38Speaker 1: of peness necessary for a Jets quarterback. This is why
- 9:43Speaker 1: I think the team should pursue better options like Daniel
- 9:47Speaker 1: Jones or Andy Dalton, who are perfectly shitty right now.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Just more terrific analysis by you that downy, and you
- 9:56Speaker 1: know it leads me to a question. You know, clearly
- 9:58Speaker 1: the expert here in your estimation, do you think that
- 10:02Speaker 1: Doc Prescott now qualifies to be a Jets quarterback? Absolutely?
- 10:09Speaker 1: Doc is on such a downward spiral that he is
- 10:12Speaker 1: actually racing upwards towards the top of the Jets QB
- 10:15Speaker 1: wish list. My sources tell me the Jets front office
- 10:19Speaker 1: was very impressed with his performance in that forty nine
- 10:22Speaker 1: is game. Don't be surprised if trade talks heat up soon. Well,
- 10:26Speaker 1: we'll keep an eye on any breaking developments there. And
- 10:30Speaker 1: in the meantime, that concludes special report Jets in Crisis
- 10:35Speaker 1: and leads to our next special report, Giants in Crisis.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Uh tony, before we get into what takes here, I
- 10:44Speaker 1: see our guess. He's already on the line, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 1: so we could talk or maybe we could just go
- 10:49Speaker 1: to him as he's a former Giant. Wow, he's early.
- 10:53Speaker 1: He's the opposite of Donovan McNabb. Yeah, he's the anti
- 10:56Speaker 1: McNabb early good fan. You know what, Yep, we're gonna
- 11:01Speaker 1: just get to that. So why don't we go ahead
- 11:03Speaker 1: and just bring him on the FUSCO satellite network. Alright,
- 11:10Speaker 1: this guy, he was a two time Super Bowl champion
- 11:14Speaker 1: kicker with the Giants, all right, but he did beat
- 11:18Speaker 1: Tom Brady and the Patriots twice, you know, good for
- 11:21Speaker 1: we gotta give credit with respect. In the two thousand
- 11:25Speaker 1: four he led the NFL and extra points made. But
- 11:28Speaker 1: you know everyone expects kickers to make extra points, so
- 11:31Speaker 1: you know, nothing to get excited about that. Alright, I
- 11:35Speaker 1: get just to be perfectly clear here, we we usually
- 11:37Speaker 1: don't have kickers on the show because you know, nobody
- 11:40Speaker 1: wants to hear from them and their ratings poison. But
- 11:42Speaker 1: we're gonna make an exception this week for this guy here,
- 11:45Speaker 1: so let's bring him in. Lawrence Times, Welcome to the show. Welcome, Hey,
- 11:49Speaker 1: appreciate you guys having me. I was gonna ask that question,
- 11:52Speaker 1: Am I the first and perhaps only kicker you've had
- 11:55Speaker 1: on and last? Yeah? Probably probably gonna be. We're gonna
- 12:00Speaker 1: we're going to see if this is a mistake we
- 12:01Speaker 1: don't want to make again exact you know, just for
- 12:03Speaker 1: the record, I see you if viewers on YouTube there,
- 12:07Speaker 1: he's got his two Super Bowl trophies in the background there. Uh,
- 12:10Speaker 1: you know, it's kind of hitting the nail on the head,
- 12:12Speaker 1: don't you think. Yeah, I mean they actually give kickers
- 12:16Speaker 1: trophies too, if you can believe that. Um, I had
- 12:18Speaker 1: to pay extra for those. But uh, how much those
- 12:21Speaker 1: U back? Yeah, that's a confidential, confidential I have a guy.
- 12:26Speaker 1: These are not like the legitimate moment of maker. Yeah. Yeah,
- 12:35Speaker 1: but he's underground. You know, the NFL would get after
- 12:37Speaker 1: him if he if he knew. Let's just get into
- 12:41Speaker 1: a topic here before we get in the zoom backgrounds
- 12:44Speaker 1: and off topic. All right, you know, let's get to
- 12:46Speaker 1: the first reason we brought you. You know you heard
- 12:48Speaker 1: our take. You know last week we made headlines when
- 12:51Speaker 1: we said Dak Prescott should be blamed for that terrible
- 12:55Speaker 1: Cowboys kicker, Bret Ma. You know, he's being horrible and
- 12:58Speaker 1: missing all those extra Now we said boldly, we said,
- 13:03Speaker 1: if Dak got into the end zone more, Brett ma
- 13:07Speaker 1: would have had been had been able to practice more
- 13:11Speaker 1: extra points. Now, don't you agree that Dac should be
- 13:14Speaker 1: blamed here for that? Yeah, no question, Yeah, he should
- 13:20Speaker 1: absolutely get in the end zone more, and Brett maher
- 13:24Speaker 1: wouldn't be a punchline which he was going into the
- 13:26Speaker 1: game on Sunday. But yeah, that's all. That's all Dak
- 13:31Speaker 1: Prescott's fault. That Prescott stinks, by the way, I think
- 13:34Speaker 1: he yea, what leads you to that obvious conclusion? Uh,
- 13:41Speaker 1: given the ball to the other team more times than
- 13:44Speaker 1: you should? I think that pretty much sums up the
- 13:46Speaker 1: quarterback play of what he did this second half of
- 13:49Speaker 1: the season. So yeah, Dak Prescott stinks. Yeah, And obviously
- 13:53Speaker 1: you are an expert on subpar quarterback play as you
- 13:56Speaker 1: played with you show up close. Yes, so are you
- 14:00Speaker 1: you know, are you saying there's a comparison there? Eli? Dad?
- 14:05Speaker 1: That's what? Do you see? Those two trophies up there
- 14:06Speaker 1: deck hasn't even sniffed one, never mind touched one or
- 14:10Speaker 1: have one. Eli Manning is an assassin? What are you
- 14:13Speaker 1: talking about? Oh? Well, you know blood No no, no, no, no, no.
- 14:18Speaker 1: We want to go back into your past, yea, because
- 14:20Speaker 1: maybe you've been brainwashed to something. You know, we went
- 14:23Speaker 1: looked up you know those stats. We've thought you would
- 14:25Speaker 1: have more you know, resentment to Eli Manning And can
- 14:29Speaker 1: we just get into that yet, because you know he
- 14:31Speaker 1: gets credit for those super Bowl wins. Right, but why
- 14:35Speaker 1: let's go through super Bowl forty six, shouldn't wait, Tony? Alright,
- 14:39Speaker 1: exactly the sty In that game, the Giants scored twenty
- 14:44Speaker 1: one points. Okay, Eli manning super Bowl m v P.
- 14:49Speaker 1: He threw one touchdown, Lawrence. You know how many points
- 14:53Speaker 1: one touchdown is? I think it's six, correct. Meanwhile, you
- 14:58Speaker 1: had two field goals and an extra point, Lawrence, how
- 15:02Speaker 1: many points is that? That's seven? And I should have
- 15:07Speaker 1: been the Super Bowl and go in. You're calling him
- 15:11Speaker 1: an assassin you had that you won the championship. Well,
- 15:15Speaker 1: that's true. Yeah, you know that game in particular, I
- 15:18Speaker 1: should have been the m v P. I should have
- 15:20Speaker 1: got a cool car, Escalade, Corvette, whatever the hell he
- 15:22Speaker 1: drove off in. But it never goes to the kickers,
- 15:25Speaker 1: only quarterbacks. Now, doesn't that piss you off? Doesn't off? Oh?
- 15:29Speaker 1: That does? Yeah? But I don't resent him because we're
- 15:33Speaker 1: not there without his play prior to that Super Bowl,
- 15:37Speaker 1: if that makes any sense. No, no, no, no, you
- 15:39Speaker 1: know he was not always Roses there, right, there was
- 15:42Speaker 1: some tough times. Did you turn him and say, hey,
- 15:44Speaker 1: you gotta get the ball in the end zone? More
- 15:46Speaker 1: so I can get more practice on these extra points. Yeah. No,
- 15:50Speaker 1: the interceptions were just practice. You know, he's trying new
- 15:53Speaker 1: things in games. He I never said that to Eli ever.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Uh No, he was fantastic ross six years I was
- 16:00Speaker 1: with him. Yeah, he's really good. He's a he's a
- 16:03Speaker 1: Hall of Fame quarterback. Is he in the room with
- 16:05Speaker 1: you right now? Yeah, while you have those two trophies
- 16:07Speaker 1: that you're actually an Eli's house. Yeah, is he holding
- 16:10Speaker 1: you hostage right now? Yeah? I have one of those
- 16:13Speaker 1: big stickers on the wall what they call him fat
- 16:15Speaker 1: heads sitting over there. You know, I gotta be honest,
- 16:18Speaker 1: because you do sound like someone who is being held
- 16:21Speaker 1: captive currently and maybe under the influence of some courte
- 16:24Speaker 1: of kind of brain altering drug. Uh No, that's not happening.
- 16:30Speaker 1: We can talk about your background. It looks like you're
- 16:32Speaker 1: being held hostage in world country. This is the finest,
- 16:37Speaker 1: the finest state area. About that on air sign? How
- 16:43Speaker 1: about that on air sign? Yeah? Where did you get
- 16:45Speaker 1: this called being a professional? You're on a background. You know,
- 16:51Speaker 1: it's not even a light, it's like a sign, and
- 16:54Speaker 1: on air sign has like a light that should come
- 16:57Speaker 1: on when you're on air. That thing's on all the time.
- 16:59Speaker 1: What to you technical director? Yeah? Yeah, I know what
- 17:04Speaker 1: role is? You know what role is? Yeah? Yeah, I'm
- 17:08Speaker 1: gonna be rolling you off the show if yeah, exactly?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Can I just ask you one question? I just want
- 17:14Speaker 1: to check if you're all there or not? You know, mentally,
- 17:17Speaker 1: when you look at Daniel Jones, what do you see there?
- 17:22Speaker 1: I see an ascending top ten quarterback? What are you
- 17:28Speaker 1: kidding me? You know what you guys were trying to
- 17:33Speaker 1: get rid of Jalen Hurts last year? No way motivating
- 17:38Speaker 1: every outlet, every player, everybody was probs quiet, quiet their lords.
- 17:44Speaker 1: It proves that kickers don't know anything about footnoll. They
- 17:47Speaker 1: they don't. They're practicing kicking the ball on the side
- 17:51Speaker 1: that they don't know anything. If there's anyone who's gonna
- 17:54Speaker 1: be running out, is any gonna be running out, it's
- 17:57Speaker 1: you out of the show, exactly, come out like that.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So I'm gonna give you one more opportunity right in.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I just want to see Eli Manning ship quarterback or
- 18:09Speaker 1: not say it right now? He won two Super Bowls?
- 18:13Speaker 1: How could he be by scoring six points? Yeah, here's
- 18:19Speaker 1: here's a point for you. Yeah, shut up, Just get
- 18:25Speaker 1: missed your wide right, wide right, because you're right at it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Here is he off the line? Jay? You know this
- 18:41Speaker 1: is exhibit exhibit A of why you don't invite kickers
- 18:44Speaker 1: on a sports talk show. It's terrible. Yeah, that was
- 18:47Speaker 1: a huge waste of times. Great one by you, Donty
- 18:51Speaker 1: there you go anyway, Uh, you know, let's go out
- 18:55Speaker 1: on a positive note. We do want to thank God's
- 18:57Speaker 1: new sponsor, Cricket Wireless. No no, if it isn't if
- 19:04Speaker 1: it produces JA yeah, I prefer to sound of crickets
- 19:08Speaker 1: to him. Where are you right now? What what is this?
- 19:11Speaker 1: It's it's a technology conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Did you go because you don't know how to use technology? Apparently,
- 19:19Speaker 1: But the people who want to know what j does
- 19:21Speaker 1: outside of work, I'm sure this is a huge surprise
- 19:24Speaker 1: for them. Yeah, all right, Well, we hate to interrupt
- 19:28Speaker 1: your technology conference. But on the subject of interruptions, you
